synopsis: you and your boyfriend hardly ever fight, so what happens when you finally have one?

❥- note : hi guys !! sorry if this post is kind of shit, i kind of rushed it. i hope you guys enjoy regardless <3 reblogs are appreciated !!

♡ TARTAGLIA (CHILDE)

you and childe hadn’t spoken for much of the day, and this was due to an argument that happened between you two just before you sat down for some breakfast.

it was stupid, genuinely. 

childe had completely misinterpreted something you had said that morning. you were talking about one of your friends and their relationship. for some reason, childe thought you were comparing your relationship to the one your friend had, and it made him question if he was doing enough to make you happy. one thing led to another, and the two of you bickered over the encounter. you tried to explain yourself, but your boyfriend, being the stubborn man he was, didn’t bother to listen and went off on his own accord.

you and childe hardly had any fights. they would usually resolve after an hour or two, but you hadn’t seen him all day. part of you began to grow worried from his sudden absence. did he go out and do something to hurt himself? was he with somebody else? no, there was no way childe would ever cheat on you. he didn’t even look in another woman’s direction when he saw you that day. 

it wasn’t until sunset when childe had finally returned home to you. he had a few scrapes on his arms which seemed like they came from him battling another enemy, but regardless, he seemed to be in one piece. you were very relieved to see that he was fine. it made you run into his arms the moment he came into the door, which took your boyfriend by surprise. he was under the impression that you were still pissed off at him for the shit that he had pulled early on in the day. he knew he was wrong and he should have apologized, but he didn’t know how to put it into words. sometimes he wished he wasn’t so air headed. 

his arm went around your waist, bringing your body closer to his. the smell of his skin made you calm down. “i thought something bad happened to you..” your eyes didn’t move from the floor. 

childe could sense the worry that was in your voice. he shouldn’t have done that to you. he would never want to make you feel scared or put you under the idea that he would leave you. he wasn’t going to ever leave like that again, ever. “i’m sorry, baby..” he whispered, running his fingers along your backside. “i’m such an idiot.. i shouldn’t have said that shit. i love you way too much to hurt you..” 

you lifted your head to meet his ocean blue eyes. he had this frown on his features. you could see how guilty he felt for putting you in such a position. no matter what, you would always be in love with childe. no small argument would make your feelings for him shift, ever. you knew he could be stubborn at times, and honestly, so could you. all that mattered to you in the end was that you two made up and forget the whole thing. “it’s okay.. i still love you, okay?” you smiled at him, which made his heart skip a beat.

childe couldn’t help but smile, too. he leaned towards you and planted a kiss on your lips. he didn’t ever want to see you frown again. he would do anything to see a smile on your pretty face. “let me make up for it.. how about we take a bath together, hm?” he questioned, raising his eyebrows. 

you nodded your head. “sure..” you grinned.

♡ CYNO

you didn’t expect cyno to get upset earlier. 

cyno was in a bit of a rush that afternoon. he had a lot of things to tend to as the mahamatra, so he typically had a busy schedule. at the time, you had no idea that he had to be somewhere at a certain hour, so when you saw your lover wandering around aaru village by himself, you decided to go and talk with him to ask how his day was.

he kept his responses to you a bit shorter than usual, but that’s how he usually was. cyno was more the type of man to listen more than he did talk, but the more you kept speaking, the more he grew somewhat irritated. he had to meet with candace and discuss something that had occurred on his way there. he had to return as quickly as possible, though, because there were several people who needed his help out there. 

cyno had accidentally snapped at you, which in turn made you fire back at him.

it was very out of the ordinary for him to ever get angry with you. cyno was very patient, and he was especially with you. he was never the kind of man to be rude to you or yell at you, ever, so this threw you off completely. before he could even apologize, you left and went back to the place you two shared together. 

he didn’t return home until later that night. he had been thinking about what he had done all day, and it made him feel guilty for being that way towards you. you were his girlfriend. he loved you more than anybody else, and he managed to hurt your feelings because he was unable to control his very own. cyno hoped you wouldn’t want to leave him. anxiety plagued him the entire day. he wondered if he would return back to you and find that you deserted the home you two stayed in. 

much to his relief, you were lying in bed. you were turned on your side that was facing the window which exposed the vast desert outside. he sat down beside you and watched as your eyes fluttered open at the sudden weight taking over the bed. 

“i’m sorry..” cyno whispered, looking down at you with amber eyes. 

you sat up, crossing your legs on the mattress. you didn’t think he would come back being so apologetic, but you couldn’t help but forgive him. it did hurt your feelings a lot, but he was dealing with so much. it didn’t excuse what he did, but you two never fight. he wasn’t argumentative everyday. “it’s okay.. i just felt like shit for bothering you. i should have considered your schedule..” you didn’t want to look at him, but he tilted your chin to look into your eyes. 

cyno leaned in and hugged you, which took you by surprise. “no need.. i was an asshole for not controlling myself. you didn’t deserve any of that..” he squeezed your body. “i love you.. i hope you can forgive me.”

your hand rested on his shoulder blade. his skin felt warm from the blazing heat of the sun that he was under constantly. “i love you too..” you spoke. “i can forgive you, no worries.”

♡ KAEYA

you and kaeya had been dating for quite a while. since you were his girlfriend, there were some things that you needed to get accustomed to in the relationship.

especially kaeya’s drinking habit.

you didn’t mind that he would go off to the bars some nights to have a few drinks with his friends. hell, you did it a few times yourself with your own friends, but it became an issue when he would come late to your dates due to him being hungover the next day. you knew he couldn’t help but sleep an extra hour or two through the morning, but it had happened a few times and it led up to an argument occurring between you. you claimed it was a bother to you and he wasn’t being considerate of your time and energy.

what made it worse was kaeya usually was the one to make these plans, so for him to just not show up, it felt unfair to you. if he knew he was going to drink a lot, why would he continue to make plans with you the next day? it didn’t make any sense to you whatsoever, and you were tired of him either not showing up or having to go to his house to wake him up.

when you stormed out of his house and the door slammed behind you, kaeya felt immediate regret plaguing his chest. he did everything for you in the relationship and you did the same for him. he felt like he was an idiot for letting his drinking habits get a hold of your relationship. he didn’t have a drinking problem by any means, but he knew when he had too much he wouldn’t want to do anything the next day. you were right. it was unfair of him to miss out on spending quality time with you. he didn’t want to make you feel unimportant or a second priority. kaeya loved you more than life itself. how could he hurt the one person he poured his heart and soul into?

he gave you a bit of time to blow off steam. he knew chasing after you could escalate things further, so he decided to leave you alone for the rest of the day. however, he wasn’t about to let you both go to bed angry with each other.

so, when he showed up at your doorstep with a bouquet of flowers, you were quite surprised. you didn’t think kaeya would even bother making an effort to talk things through with you, but he was standing there with an apologetic expression. “can we talk? i understand if not.. but i just don’t want you going to bed pissed at me.” he clutched the flower stems in his hand, hoping you would hear him out.

you nodded your head, inviting him into your home and watching him step inside. kaeya then turned to face you, handing the flowers in your direction. they were your favorite, lamp grass. you loved the way they glowed in the dark. “kaeya.. i’m-“ you started, taking the flowers from him.

“i’m sorry.. i didn’t mean to keep missing out on our dates. i was a shitty boyfriend for keeping up with my behavior, and i shouldn’t have been doing that in the first place.” he cut you off, shocking you. “i love you, (y/n), and i don’t want you to think otherwise.”

you stood there for a few moments in silence. you weren’t sure what to say to him, but you could sense his genuine energy in his voice. “i forgive you..” you said, lifting your eyes to meet his. “i don’t want it to happen again, okay? i love to spend time with you and i don’t wanna feel like you dislike my presence.”

he took your free hand into his, placing a soft kiss on the top of it. he had been a gentleman since day one and it seemed like that attribute of him never left his personality. “i love seeing you more than anybody else, please don’t think you’re a burden. i’d do anything to spend any waking moment with you by my side, okay? i won’t ever do it again.” kaeya replied, stepping closer to where you were standing.

you smiled, pressing a kiss on the side of his cheek. he loved how soft your lips felt against his skin. “i appreciate that..” you sounded much happier, which relieved him.

kaeya wasn’t going to do that ever again. he could never lose you, ever.

♡ WRIOTHESLEY

wriothesley was quite a busy man. it was something you knew you were signing up for when you started to date him a few months back. his job was tiring, exhausting even. he had a huge responsibility on his shoulders to carry, and sometimes it stressed him out more than he would like to admit.

it seemed like that stress began to reach its breaking point, because wriothesley hadn’t been acting right over the last few days. you assumed he was just dealing with his job, so you decided to try and see if venting would have any relief to your boyfriend. you two had done it many times before when things got a little hectic in your personal lives. plus, you both trusted each other greatly. you didn’t think he would have an issue with it.

well, you were wrong, unfortunately.

when you made the attempt to speak to your boyfriend about what was wrong, he had a serious attitude, and things escalated to you two both having a fight. you didn’t like the way he was speaking to you and he was becoming upset with you for no reason at all. all you had asked him was if he wanted to talk, but it seemed like that question alone must have ruffled his feathers. 

you two never fought, so this had completely blindsided you.

wriothesley then left for work, leaving you by yourself in the apartment you lived in. it wasn’t your intention to make him angry with you. all you wanted to know was what was troubling him to make him feel so overwhelmed. that fact crept up on wriothesley immediately after he entered his office at the fortress. he shouldn’t have snapped at you that way. it wasn’t right, nor was it excusable. he was the one person who was supposed to make you happy, not hurt.

a few hours later, he returned home a lot earlier than usual. things were slow at the fortress, so he decided to leave early and try to patch things up with you. he found you sitting on the couch with a book in your hands, seemingly trying to read away what had happened earlier between you. you were a bit taken back to see him standing in front of you, but you didn’t know what to say to him. 

“i’m sorry.. i was out of line earlier.” he broke the silence between you. it was like popping a balloon. “i get it if you’re pissed at me.. i can give you space if you’d like.”

you sat there for a few moments. you closed the book in your hands and placed it on the wooden table in front of you. wriothesley was right. he shouldn’t have been that much of an ass to you. you didn’t deserve such treatment, but you loved him. he was never like that towards you and your friends had told you before that random fights are normal. “it’s okay.. i forgive you.” you replied, standing up to go in front of him. “please.. just promise me you won’t do that again.” 

his hands went to cup your cheeks. his thumbs brushed against your smooth skin. you could see how guilty he felt for doing what he had done. “i promise.. i swear, (y/n), i’ll never do that again. i could never hurt you like that, ever again.” he looked down at you with sincerity on his features. 

you leaned in to hug him. wriothesley inhaled the fresh scent of your shampoo and felt immediately calmed from your touch. he loved you, dearly. he could never do that to you again and he vowed to never pull a stunt like that with you ever again.

-we all know how she's not one of the best cooks. so, you being one makes it a bit better.

-not gonna judge, i love it js as much as she does.

-you decided to get prepared one day, to cook together, and prepare a meal for one another!

-although you know that the only options you had were macaroons and macaroni, where she only had one option.

-so you started cooking macaroons.

-it is always SO fun to cook with her. she's always smiling and talking with you, talking about the most random things ever.

You smiled at Gorou, laying next to him on the soft ground, his arms wrapped around you holding you close to him. Above you the sakura tree showered you both with its silky light pink leaves, the gentle breeze shaking its branches and the sun slightly peeping through, making you feel warm in its rays.

He leaned in closer to you, your noses touching slightly as he looked into your eyes, his tail wagging gently behind him, letting you know he was enjoying the moment just as much as you were. Your face heated up a little as you moved, placing a soft kiss on your boyfriends forehead and watching lovingly as his cheeks turned a soft pink before he returned the favour, kissing your lips softly.

Tighnari:

Tighnari was deep into his paperwork, studying some plants you had never heard of before, while you organised a couple of his shelves and tidied up some of his loose sketches, taking your time to look at each one of them. It still amazed you how close to life he could make them look, even with just a few swipes of his pen.

Suddenly a small note caught your attention, your name being printed in his handwriting as well as a checklist. The checklist wasn't like any one he had written before or at least none that you had seen as you read each one of the goals:

⊡ Bring them flowers for every date.

⊡ Say I love you more often.

⊡ Make sure to take a break from work to spend time with them.

By the time you had finished reading you had a dark blush on your face, noticing how he had marked them all and remembering just how loving he had been towards you recently. Your heart swelled and as he shifted in his seat you decided to hide the note back where it was, making your way over to him.

As soon as he looked up at you, his eyes filled with curiousity, you placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before hugging him, a large smile on your face. "What's gotten into you hm? You didn't eat any aphrodisiacs did you?" He chuckled teasingly his face turning a slight pink as his arms wrapped around you tightening the embrace.

Xiao:

You looked at Xiao who had taken to resting his head in your lap, looking up at you as you gently ran your fingers through his dark teal hair and hummed a quiet melody. This time with him felt so peaceful and calming, not a worry in the world, just the wish of wanting to stay like this with him forever.

You glanced down at him, his eyelids looking heavy like he was about to fall asleep and his normally threatening yellow eyes looking gentle, you couldn't help but wonder just how long it had been since he had last relaxed like this. You smiled leaning down to place a sweet kiss on his forehead, watching as his eyes widen for a second and his cheeks turned slightly pink, before he could say a word sleep got the better of him, his eyes slowly closing as he rested on you.

Scaramouche:

Scaramouche smirked, looking at your blushing face like he had won a medal, his teasing had worked on you and despite calling you pathetic he actually enjoyed watching your cheeks turn red. "This isn't even a challenge anymore, just a simply victory like taking candy from a baby. Honestly I'm starting to think you'll never get me to blush." He gloated, each word full of self confidence and overwhelming pride.

For a second you considered giving up on ever making him feel flustered, wondering if it was actually impossible...till a idea popped into your head. It would be a last resort but it was all you could think of. You stepped closer to him tipping his hat backwards, he made a annoyed noise but you didn't take the time to care as you kissed his forehead gently.

You watched, savouring the moment as his face turned slightly pink and his smirk fell into a frown. He attempted to hide away behind his hat but you wouldn't let him get away so easily, as you ducked under the brim, your face inches from his. "What were you saying again?" You couldn't help but giggle at him as he groaned in annoyance.

The ports of Eastern Mondstadt were as lively as ever despite the sheer cold weather that hovered over the land like a blanket.

Through the winding streets lined with vendors and huge crowds, a white haired man kept a firm grip on the sword sheathed at his side. He shivered a little as a biting wind rushed past. He was not used to this weather. Not after being out on the warm, rocky seas for so long.

A group of children nearby shouted in joy as they played together, one of them holding two Mondstadt hashbrowns in their hand. They waved the food around, signaling for the others to gather around so they could all share.

“Look! That kind man gave me these for free since today is the Festival of the North Winds!”

“It’s the whole week, genius!” Another kid retorted before munching down on their piece of a hashbrown.

“Does it matter? Let’s just eat!”

Before the children could fully dig in to their meal, a cheerful voice interrupted them. Kazuha stayed to watch the interaction, pretending to shop for goods at a vendor stall nearby as to not appear suspicious to the knight that had just arrived.

He watched as the knight ruffled the kid’s hair. She sent them all a big, warm smile as they looked up at her in awe and wonder. Their eyes were practically sparkling.

“Make sure you say your prayers first!” You scolded the children, placing your hands on your hips. “If you don’t give the Queen your prayers, then she might be unhappy and curse us!”

One of the kids, a girl smaller than the rest of the group, pointed at you accusingly. “No she won’t! My Mama says that Queen Catalina is a righteous, gentle god! And that she never harms anyone!”

A loud, hearty laugh escaped your mouth as you held your stomach. “Right you are!” Your laughs, which were akin to a melody on the wind, simmered into giggles.

“So we should be grateful for all that we have because of how kind Her Majesty is. That’s why we pray— because we are returning the kindness and love that she so graciously shows us. Do you understand?”

The children were silent for a few moments, mulling over your words, before they all let out gasps of astonishment. Without another moment of hesitation, they were clasping their hands together and quietly saying their prayers to the ever generous Queen of the North Wind.

As soon as they were done, you pulled something out of the bag tied to your belt. It was fresh bread you bought earlier that morning. You split the two long loaves into pieces and gave them to the children, a soft smile playing on your lips as they thanked you eagerly.

“Make sure to share with your families, okay? We need to feed as many mouths as we can this winter.” You told them, watching as they nodded vigorously and ran off, shouting their goodbyes back to you as they did so.

Kazuha smiled before turning away from the scene, tilting his head down to avoid the intense stare tossed in his direction.

He found it quite difficult to navigate through the city because of the current festivities. According to bits and pieces of conversations he picked up from the locals, an annual festival was taking place solely on this side of Mondstadt.

The land was divided between three gods. To the far West laid Decarabian and his sheltered city that was slowly but surely becoming larger by the year. He was rumored to be a tyrannical god, who refused to let his people wander past the wind barriers he created around his territory.

To the North rested the god of blizzards, Andrius— a Wolf King with an extreme temper. Supposedly, the land of Mondstadt was mostly uninhabitable because of him. He was not fond of humans, nor did he get along well with them. He preferred to stay in his patch of land and not cause them any harm, and they did the same by not wandering into his territory. It was a mutual agreement.

And of course, here in the East sat the magnificent Queen of the North Wind. Ruling over this part of Mondstadt for thousands of years, she was incredibly favored and adored by the people. Her kingdom was quite large, taking up almost the entirety of the oceanside and the mountains that separated the East and West sides of the region.

Unlike Decarabian, she was on somewhat good terms with Andrius. Their common enemy being the god of storms was what brought them together as allies. The forming of their peace treaty was what eventually birthed her title of “The Queen of the North Wind.” It was a title that matched Andrius’ “King of the North Wind.”

The Festival of the North Winds was supposedly created more than a hundred years ago in honor of Queen Catalina, Wolf King Andrius, and the Thousand Winds of Time. It is a week-long festival that not only worshipped the three gods, but was made to thank them for their continuous guidance and protection over Mondstadt.

Last year, the festival had to be cancelled due to a small dispute between Morax, a warrior god from Liyue, and Queen Catalina. The dispute, according to rumors, had been resolved pretty quickly, but due to the fear it had invoked in the people, the Queen deemed it necessary that the festival should not continue.

Kazuha noticed that the streets closer to the castle were more lively, and filled with more color. The crowds were bigger, and the city square was packed to the brim.

He remembered Beidou’s words from earlier that morning: “Go have some fun! This festival is only once a year, and who knows when we’ll be back in Mondstadt for another! Make the most of it, kid!”

There was no curfew— he could return to The Alcor whenever he wanted. As he was debating on whether or not he should return early, a great commotion drew him from his thoughts.

A gathering of knights grabbed the attention of the bustling crowds, politely asking everyone to stop and hear the words of their great Queen. A woman with curly teal hair and eyes bright as starlight gracefully descended the stairs, her bronze skin glowing under the sun and her hands clasping together neatly in front of her.

That was her— the infamous Queen of the North Wind, standing on the steps leading up to the castle.

Kazuha stopped in his tracks, his mouth falling open in shock. He was so close, he could make out each of her facial features, even the small mole on her left cheekbone, and he could recognize that the dazzling gem sitting around her neck was a diamond shaped like an eight-pointed star.

He doubted anyone standing where he had been moments ago could see her this well. He watched as she picked up the bottom of her sparkling, white gown and was helped onto a platform by her lover.

Her radiant smile was enough to dispel any worries the townsfolk harbored, and brought hope to those that had none. She cleared her throat, and with a voice as smooth as liquid gold, spoke with a certain eloquence that only a god could possess.

“My children, it is yet another year that the Thousand Winds bless us with their protection. If not for the protection of the goddess of moments, we would not be able to live our lives freely outside the rule of Celestia.”

Her ability to captivate an entire audience was to be admired. They hung onto her every word, and not a single person dared to interrupt her speech.

“Someday, you will live freely from the gods entirely. But until that day comes, I will stand with you, and continue to fight for that freedom and that future! I will continue to record these moments in my memories for future generations, so that they may understand the past to create a brighter future! With that said, we praise the Thousand Winds! Enjoy this festival, my children, and let these Winds endure for all Time!”

As she finished speaking, the crowd erupted into ear-piercing cheers. All around him, the people were celebrating, kicking off the festival with a bang as they downed barrels of alcohol and tossed confetti and cecilias into the air.

Kazuha watched with a newfound intrigue as the Queen stepped down from the platform and joined the festivities. Had he not seen it with his own eyes, he would have never believed that a god would mingle with mortals like this.

His eyes drifted to the knight that accompanied the Queen’s side, and his eyes widened once more as he recognized them as the knight he had seen earlier— the one who had given extra food to the group of overjoyed children.

You helped the Queen down from her platform and smiled graciously. “Amazing as always, Your Highness,” you said, letting her hand go as she placed it on your head. “Would you like me to fetch you a glass of Thousand Wind Wine?”

She shook her head. “Just enjoy the festivities, my dear Dovewing Knight. You work all year long, please just take a break for once. I’ll still be here when you return to the castle tonight.”

With a retort on your tongue, she grabbed your shoulders and walked you down the rest of the stairs, gently pushing you towards the crowds. “Have fun! I have Lowen here to protect me.”

You tossed an uneasy glance to the other three knights waiting eagerly for you with smiles on their faces. Turning back to the look at the Queen, you opened your mouth to protest once more, when your best friend, Leni, leapt towards you and grabbed your arm.

“C’mon! This happens once a year, (Name)! The only week we have off!” She yelled over the booming music in the square. “Let’s ditch our armor and go have fun like Her Majesty said!”

“But, we’re her Archangels, we can’t—“

“Let it go!” Mari chuckled, patting you on the back. The force of his hand hitting your shoulder made you toss a glare at him. He simply laughed. “Like she said, she won’t be going anywhere!”

You watched as your three fellow Archangel Knights removed their armor and handed it off to the Queen, who promised it wouldn’t get stolen during the festivities.

With a final groan of frustration escaping your lips, you did the same and followed your friends into the crowds. Leni linked her arm with yours and pointed to a dress shop. She jumped up and down, claiming the two of you needed to wear something fancy for the event.

As you flipped through a variety of handmade Mondstadt dresses, you couldn’t find one that caught your eye. Leni was able to find one in just a few minutes of entering the shop.

It was a short, orange dress that complimented her dark skin and amber colored eyes. The sleeves were billowy, allowing her arms room to breathe, and reached her elbows. She tied her curly, dark brown locks up into a ponytail and helped you pick out your own dress as soon as she paid for hers.

“Why not match the Queen and go for a white dress?” She suggested.

With careful deliberation— and a desire to join the festivities already —you picked out a long white, off shoulder dress and paid for it before leaving the shop.

Leni giggled as she dragged you around to all of the food stalls. She was more than happy to pay for your food, even if you scolded her for doing so every time.

You spent most of the first day of the festival with your best friend, who promised you that this year would be the best Festival of the North Winds that Mondstadt had ever thrown. Having only been appointed as the Queen’s elite Archangel Knights two years prior, you weren’t used to having free time like this anymore.

Being able to run around and enjoy the festival like you did in your youth brought back many memories of when you would spend this time of the year with your family. Silently, you thanked the Queen for allowing you to remember those memories, and for letting you have this week off to make the most of the festival.

Nighttime came fast, and with it, came dancing in the city square. The sun was setting over the horizon when the music picked up into a tune that made everyone want to dance.

It started with just a few people clearing the way, laughing and moving as if they were being carried along by the wind. Soon, the Queen and her lover, Lowen, joined in. The crowds cheered and threw out their praises as the two gods took the stage.

It was a magnificent sight— being able to watch the Queen twirl and flow as if she was one with the wind; as if it was guiding her along. After a few songs, she took a seat at a nearby table and ordered a few glasses of wine to enjoy as she laughed merrily and cheered on the other people who continued dancing in her stead.

Leni was the next to join the circle, dragging you in along behind her. The two of you, with much dancing experience, weaved your way between a multitude of couples and eventually lost sight of each other as others asked to switch dance partners.

A man with white hair ended up in front of you as the song ended, his face flushed as he panted heavily. The hand on your waist fidgeted before it pulled back slightly. He smiled gently at you, his crimson eyes welcoming and bright as he let go of your hand.

“You’re a wonderful dancer,” he told you as you took a step away from him to create space between you. “Pardon me if this sounds a little odd, but I was watching you before I got pulled in by the crowd myself. It was like watching flowing water in a stream.”

A small chuckle left your lips. “Poetic, though a little bland for my tastes. If you’re looking for compliments, I suggest you familiarize yourself with Mondstadt’s style of poetic charms.”

He raised a brow. “Oh? Is it that obvious I don’t hail from Mondstadt?”

“A little…” you trailed off as another song started, a slower tune this time, and he once again rested a delicate hand to your waist. You glanced down at the sword hanging from his hip. It wasn’t just any sword— it was a special Inazuman forged blade.

“That katana. It’s Inazuman. Handmade, correct?” You pointed out, searching his crimson eyes. He met your gaze with a small, almost fake, smile.

What was that about?

“You are correct. I would ask how you know, but you are a knight, are you not?”

You nodded. “Indeed.” He twirled you under his arm and you sighed blissfully, grabbing onto his hand once more as he pulled you back into his embrace. “I am one of Queen Catalina’s Four Archangels. It’s a pleasure to meet you, samurai of Inazuma.”

His crimson eyes flashed with recognition. He faltered in his steps a little, quickly recovering himself when you steadied him with little effort.

This could go one of two ways, you deduced.

On one hand, he could freak out and blubber his way through some sort of half-baked eloquent greeting and drop to his knees like half the citizens of Mondstadt did whenever you conversed with them. On the other, his brows could furrow with confusion and he’d give you a once over before questioning if your words were true.

No one ever expected someone like you to be one of the Queen’s elite soldiers. Whether it was because you were a woman or because you simply weren’t built like a knight, you didn’t know. You were more inclined to believe that it was the latter.

Though, you did receive a handful of comments from many people when you were first appointed about your gender. Most of them you ignored, because they were so downright stupid that it made you laugh. Others, you had half a mind to throw them in the dingiest cell in the dungeons for their incredibly disrespectful words. If the Queen had known of those insults, you were sure she would have personally sentenced them to death for their arrogance.

None of the two options you often encountered came to fruition. Instead, his reaction was an entirely different one altogether. You were not expecting him to treat you as if you were any other human being.

“You’re one of them? An honor, then, it is to meet you.” He said, his words flowing like honey from his mouth.

A poet was one who could charm their way into others’ hearts using their flowery language. You were more than familiar with poets— more so of the Mondstadt and Liyuean variety. Mondstadt poets oftentimes happened to be bards as well. They used their songs to tell stories of you and your friends’ adventures.

Almost all of them used their talents to charm their way into your good graces so as to avoid the law. However, their use of compliments and fine verses had no effect on you. As a knight, you swore an oath to protect innocents and keep everyone on equal standing in your mind. You could not let anyone get close, for fear of one day being the one to throw them into a cell.

Leni and the other two Archangels were special cases, though you knew that if they one day also betrayed the Queen, you would raise your sword against them without hesitation.

Letting go of your hand to take your other, the man watched as your expression soured. “Flattery will not get you anywhere with me, but I thank you for your cordiality nonetheless.”

The song ended, and the man let go of you as you stepped away from him. You sent him a polite smile. “Allow me to buy you some festival specialties. After all, this only happens once a year.”

He returned your smile and nodded. “That’d be wonderful, Miss…?”

“Oh! Right. How could I forget my greeting?” You stood ramrod straight and saluted him, the action coming naturally to you after doing it hundreds of times.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, foreigner to the Northern Winds. I, (Name) the Dovewing Knight and one of the Four Archangels of the god of memories, cordially welcome you to Mondstadt.”

He nodded curtly, bowing slightly as he placed a hand to his chest. “Thank you for the warm welcome, Miss (Name). I am Kaedehara Kazuha, a wandering samurai from Inazuma.”

You sighed softly as you relaxed your form. “Kazuha…” you tested the name on your tongue, finding it easy to flow out of your mouth. You hummed and nodded. “Well, Kazuha. Allow me to be your guide. What say you to spending this week with me?”

As a knight, it was your job to guide those new to Mondstadt and help them settle in. You weren’t sure how long Kazuha would be staying here, but you were determined to show him the joys of what it was like to live in Mondstadt during the festival season.

At least, that was the lie you told yourself to prevent your heart from continuing to race in your chest.

Kazuha’s smile was genuine this time as he visibly relaxed. “If a beautiful knight such as yourself is offering, then who am I to refuse you?”

Maybe it was the trick of the light, the glaring sun beating down on his face from over the horizon, but you could have sworn you saw a hint of red on his cheeks as he took your outstretched hand and stepped into a world completely unknown.

Not only is he trying to manage the winery but also keep track of you and make sure you aren’t getting lost, getting into trouble, or breaking any more expensive swords. Diluc sighed for the nth time that day, hands rubbing tiredly at his temples as he responded to the patient townsfolk in front of him. He had spent the past hour wandering round Mondstat alone looking for you, having turned away for only a moment to pay for something. He had considered all the possibilities of how to keep you from wandering off, and with a nose like yours he’d figure it wouldn’t be hard to find him again but apparently you’d never thought to use it. A bracelet or necklace would be too small and probably fall off as you fought with your swords, a shirt would simply get dirty or damaged, and pants would simply look ridiculous. At this point he was contemplating just getting you an adult sized version of the leash backpack he often used for Diona. 

Yandere!Rosaria would be strangely ok with you wandering off on your own and getting in trouble. This is largely because there isn’t anywhere you can go that she can’t follow or send someone to follow. She’s not overly worried about you, knowing that you’re a capable fighter and handling yourself isn’t something that’s difficult. Though you can be a bit reckless. She does speak to Draff and Timmy about pigeons and trains one of her own to follow you around and report to her if you get into something you shouldn’t have.

It was no surprise to Rosaria when a familiar bird came fluttering through the open church windows, gliding over to her and landing gently on her shoulder. With a quick nudge of its head, a trained signal, it was able to tell Rosaria where you were and what you had gotten into. It would be quick work getting to you, with Rosaria keeping a small stash of teleportation crystals since having met you. Thanking the bird, she rushed out of the church, heading to where you were at. Rosaria wasn’t sure how, but somehow despite having hearing, sight, and a sense of smell all stronger than hers, advanced due to your wolf hybridity, you managed to get lost anyways. It didn’t matter much to her in the end anyway, your little spontaneous adventures had always been enough to pull her away from boring church duties.

Archons, I'm so angry that today you just have to give me a couple more glasses of wine, — Kaveh fatefully settled his head on his hands folded on the table, continuing to mutter to himself. His cheeks were already sprinkled with a slight blush from the glasses of alcohol he had drunk before.

— Ho-oh, don't you say that every day? — Kaeya sips wine from his glass, leaning back on the bench in the tavern, pulling her trademark smile on his face.

— I think you've had enough, Kaveh, — you giggle, picking at your padisar pudding with a fork.

And this happens almost every time. Every time Kaveh, dissatisfied with his work, quietly whines in the corner from his side of the table, giving Kaeya only more food for the next witty jokes, while you just enjoy, which has become almost a tradition, another joint trip to the tavern with your lovers. Often they just exchanged various barbs, gently joking with each other (although, let's be honest, often all the jokes that accompanied your feasts came from Kaeya, mocking another failure of Kaveh), but you never felt superfluous. Perhaps you were always the person Kaveh needed when you comforted him, protecting him from Kaeya's playful attacks.

But none of us have ever held grudges.

Kaveh knew perfectly well that you both care about him, just in your own way. Kaeya never interrupted Kaveh, while he could rant for hours about how hard it was for him to interact with customers, what efforts he made not to betray his own aesthetics for the sake of someone's whim, carefully listening to every word the architect said.

— You just don't understand! — Kaveh suddenly emerges from a makeshift shelter in his own hands, turning a pleading look at you. — Y/N, at least you support me! I don't have any work for tomorrow anyway. Because of this idiot, even all the efforts spent on drawings and sketches were in vain. I just want to relax!

— Why don't you just change your profession? I think such an experienced taster would not be superfluous to Diluc at the distillery.

You gently nudge Kaeya in the side, pouting your lips.

— Who would say, you yourself drink with Kaveh every day. You could just set him an example by drinking tea with me.

— Well, well, this time we all ordered desserts, as you wanted. I admit, they don't go too well with wine, but they'll pass for a snack, — Kaeya playfully wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to kiss the top of your head.

— Why do I feel like a child sometimes with you? Lambad! — Kaveh raises his hand, attracting the attention of the tavern owner. — More wine!

You roll your eyes, sighing softly. Indeed, Kaveh sometimes behaves in such a way that you have to feel like a parent with him, who is obliged to surround his child with comfort and care, but, in fact, you even like such moments. Unlike Kaeya, who hides his feelings, at least you could tell exactly when Kaveh is upset, having the opportunity to cheer him up the way you know how.

A cloying but pleasant sweetness touches your tongue, nuts gently crunch on your teeth as you slowly chew the frozen syrup, then smiling contentedly.

— Mmm! It's very tasty! Kaeya, do you want to try it too?

A blue-haired man, savoring another sip of wine, seems to break out of his own thoughts when he meets your eyes with a childishly pleased look fixed on him. You are like a breath of fresh air in their world with Kaveh, saturated with exhausting worries. Whenever they are burdened with another unbearable burden, whenever they are tormented by doubts or frustrated by failures, you are always there. So relaxed, light, like a breath of the Mondstadt breeze. The clouds of anxiety that sometimes hang over both men seem to be dispelled by the mere sight of how this perky smile stretches on your face, always too contagious not to smile back at you.

Therefore, now the corners of Kaeya's lips also lift in a slight smile when he quietly grins to himself, leaning closer while you wrap your small palm around Kaveh's wrist, bringing his hand with sweetness to Kaeya's mouth.

— Hey, it's not fair, I only treated Y/N!

— You should be more vigilant next time, otherwise someday I'll steal Y/N from you right out from under your nose, and you won't even notice, — Keya teases the poor architect, now squinting his scarlet eyes and puffing up his cheeks.

— How dare you! — for the next few minutes, Kaveh spewed out a ton of discontent, which always amuses Kaeya, who is quietly grinning from his seat at the table.

And everything is in its place.

You are sitting quietly sipping wine from your glass, running your gaze from a disgruntled, pouting, like an anemo slime, Kaveh, to Kaeya, who is holding his drink in his hand, continuing to bring the blonde to the boiling point. But you know that they are dear to each other as much as you are dear to them.

It was so amazing to watch how these two got closer and closer every day, although from the outside it might seem that you were caught in the middle of two fires that never stop arguing with each other. You knew that Kaeya is always ready to support Kaveh with the support that you are not capable of, and you knew that Kaveh never takes Kaeya's caustic words seriously, although every time he boils with half a turn.

Let it all look like a stupid quarrel, it seems that Kaveh no longer looks as depressed as at the moment when the three of you gathered at the same table.

— Y/N.

You are floating somewhere in the clouds, watching with a smile two men who somehow magically captured your heart, when suddenly your chaotic thoughts are dispersed by a soft male voice, accompanied by a look of ruby eyes and a warm touch of long fingers to your hand holding a spoon stuck in the pudding.

— Hm? — it's like you're waking up from a dream, slightly relaxed after drinking alcohol.

— Can I… Try your pudding too?

Your eyebrows lift in surprise for a second before you turn your attention to Kaveh's palm covering yours.

— Oh, of course! — you are scooping up some padisar pudding, bringing the spoon to Kaveh's lips with his fingers still wrapped around your palm, when the purple jelly suddenly disappears into the mouth of Kaeya, who has intercepted the dessert halfway to Kaveh.

— Mm, next time order me this dessert, Y/N, it's very tasty, — Kaeya closes his eyes, savoring the sweet taste of soft pudding on his tongue.

— Hey! Then share yours too! — Kaveh reaches across the table, dipping a spoon into the almost untouched cream of the Sumeru rose in front of Kaeya.

—Ha-ha! Maybe I should make you some Mondstadt pancakes when we get home?

— If you think that this will somehow make up for your guilt today, then you are mistaken, — Kaveh grumbles, licking his spoon. — But I think Y/N would like to try…

— Well, well, I already realized that you are interested, you don't have to always hide behind Y/N.

And, it seemed, the anxiety tormenting Kaveh completely disappeared at the moment when the air above your table was filled with the sound of two men talking and your quiet giggling while you stretched out your hand to taste Kaeya's dessert too.

Sweet. And this sweetness, which replaced the tart bitterness from worries about Kaveh, spread a pleasant warmth in your chest. You would like everything to remain just like this, and never change.

Summary: You are one of the remaining Khaenri’ahns, cursed to wander the world forevermore. With no home, no identity. How can joy ever return to such a bleak existence?

You can no longer feel the wind on your face. The ever-changing skies look all the same to you, and days are a blur. As one of the sole remnants of Khaenri’ah, you are cursed with immortality. You feel more like a shadow than a person, as you drift from place to place, always going in circles. No home, no place to welcome you, no one to welcome you. It truly is a curse.

Or so you used to think.

The water softly lapped at the Liyue docks, shimmering with the glow from laterns. It was a warm evening, and the city was still very much awake. Storytellers could be heard, along with chatter and din from restaurants and merchant stands. Morax couldn’t help the smile forming. Even after all the years he’s lived, he still finds joy in seeing his nation prosper, even if it isn’t really his nation anymore. The peace and life that he fought so hard for now being enjoyed by countless people, tourists and locals alike. And he has all eternity, lest erosion take him, to revel in its tranquility.

As a god, and as a man, he enjoys the simple things in life. Things that make him look forward to each day, like mundane conversations with interesting wanderers, or a new blend of tea. Or, in this particular moment, both.

“Do you travel often, Mr. Zhongli?” You blow on the hot tea, pausing another moment for good measure, before carefully sipping.

“I’m afraid not. This land is… sentimental to me. From the harbour to the jagged mountains, I could not bear to be separated with Liyue for long.” He replies, taking a sip of his own tea. It’s a delightful blend, the light jasmine subtle, but just floral enough to give an exquisite aftertaste, and bittersweet enough to go for another sip.

“I understand, it’s hard to be away from home.”

“Do feel homesick often?”

“I do. Or I used to.” In truth, you don’t even remember what you’re homesick for. Or why you should miss it. It feels so long, that nowhere is your home, that you don’t even know how to miss home.

“You’re very interesting. I enjoy talking with you. You have an undeniable sense of knowledge and wisdom, and I would love to speak more with you.”

And so you did. Evening walks became frequent, then a habit. And soon your days were spent with him too. Part of you wanted to move on, it felt wrong to linger, like you were breaking some unspoken rule. You needed to wander, to drift in the shadows. But you didn’t want to, you didn’t need to. The though of parting with Zhongli felt even worse than staying, like you could not bear to separate with him. Like he was home.

It was a cloudy night when you first kissed. On a mountain just near the harbour, overlooking the splotched lights through the haze. The air was sweent with Qingxin, and it was cool and fresh. His lips tasted like bitter tea and sweet wine.

“In all my life I have never felt like this. I thought I had found contentness, serenity. But I did not realize all the passion and warmth I was missing. Please, indulge me more.” You were hesitant. You were immortal, and you knew this love could not last. But the fondness, the pure light in his eyes made you accept. As if to lose this love would be to lose everything all over again.


“I’ll be yours so long as you’ll have me.” You whisper, your face close to his. His arms are a security you’ve never allowed yourself to settle in, a comfort you didn’t realize you were devoid of.

“Eternity then, my dear.” And with the steel of his voice, you believe him.

And despite the rumours about Zhongli, and despite his sometimes too specific questions, neither of you have disclosed your identities. But time passes, and neither of you age. “It’s time I discuss something with you.” He declares as he brings the fresh pot of tea to the coffee table in front of you. Fear washes over you, and you momentarily feel the urge to wander, to be a shadow, to run away. But you are not a ghost anymore, you’ve learned how to love and be loved, how to be real. So you force your eyes to meet his. And you see your fear reflected.

“I am sorry to have kept this from you so long my dear, but I had doubts and fears that you have since washed away. I am, or was, the Geo Archon, Rex Lapis, or Morax if you prefer. But I am at the same time Zhongli, just as I always have been.” Your breath was held, and it still held until you manage to process his words. His calm face betrays the gnarling sensation in his gut. Suddenly he is at war again, but he is not confident in victory. And even worse, he is afraid to lose.

He desperately tries to find any sign of hope as he looks at you, only to be let down. His heart shatters, falling apart piece by piece. Like a stone crumbled beneath the piercing of his spear. But your face softens as you think over what he says, as you understand, as you realize.

“I know that you are mortal, and that one day-“ He begins, voice strained.

“You couldn’t have made me happier, than with the words you just said.” You reply, so consumed with joy that his anxious rambling flies over your head. “I have a secret too. Not anything proud like yours, but in this moment that doesn’t matter. I am immortal too, one of the cursed remnants from Khaenri’ah. But despite your godhood, and despite my past, it feelings like a blessing.” Your voice is light, your body is light. You feel like you’re floating, though your eyes water and your heart wrenches, a bliss spreads through you.

“I love you.” His arms hold you tightly, tight like a vow. His words calm you, and you relax in his touch. Through all the wars he fought, all the destruction he wrought, he wonders how it could have led to such a wonderful thing. How sins and a curse could be a blessing. But he merely smiles to himself as he thinks, it must be the power of love.

Jaded the two of you may be, but fools in love also. And you remember what it’s like to have a home. You remember what’s it’s like to live in the light, and to be seen. And it’s more wonderful than anything you’ve experienced. All the grief and despair you lived through, only now to have a promise of love for eternity. Just as there is always a sun to chase away the night, there is always joy and love to overcome hard times.

Ravage is named after the TF character! :D He was my little gaming buddy back when I was fostering a litter of kittens for my senior project. I ended up keeping him, I got too attached. Now he is best friends with Ember!

Hiraeth was a TOTAL accident. I was supposed to just have her mom but she was pregnant much to our surprise! (Someone was getting rid of her, probably because they knew she was pregnant, and gave her to us without telling us that lol) I was allowed to keep Hiraeth but none of the other cats were allowed :( They all went to loving homes though!

After a little while of walking, you and Qiqi decided to rest a little. You sit amidst a flower garden as she lays in your lap.

After a few minutes, you're sure shes asleep. As you moved to pick her up, she shuffles around and sits up.

Alright, Genshin Natlan Act 4. Same as before, Im gonna be writing things as I play through it.

(This quest went from me practically losing all faith in Hoyo, to returning to me having Hope that they can stop their fake tension bullshit)

I fucking hope Mauvika is wrong. I am so tired of every region being the same. Fatui bad. Archon good. Everyone's fine always nothing bad ever happens to anyone on the "good" side.

If they dont change how the Fatui is potrayed now, the writers are going to implode when we get to Snezhnaya and we gotta help the people but the people are all Fatui and Fatui bad so we cant help the country but thats all we've been doing and there cant be good people coz all of them are loyal to the Fatui or... Is Snezhnaya secretly going to have an underground rebellion with people that dont like the Fatui?

Its been the same for 4 years now. Can these writers write anything else?

2. what was the point of Ororon, a character Ive barely met, to have an internal struggle with a person Ive never even heard of? Well wonder if theyre gonna butcher Capitano or if they'll keep writing him well...

3. I am hoping, from the bottom of my heart, that Mauvika's plan fails.

If it doesnt fail, and it succeeds, the Hoyo I am a fan of is dead, because this new one can only write the same, very limited, repeated plot points.

Why, do you write tension into your story, if its never realised?

If tension is not going to happen, then dont write your story to have tension.

For FOUR. YEARS. Hoyo has repeatedly written plot points that asks "will they make it?" or "will they be fine?" and the answer has, without fail, been "yes."

You can do that here and there.

You cant repeatedly ask that question for four years.

You have no idea how badly I want to be proven wrong. I want to be proven so wrong that people link my posts and comments about this and laughs at me.

Because the alternative is that the Hoyo I am a fan of is no more.

And this new Hoyo can only write stories that never has any real tension, but also cant embrace being a fun lighthearted story.

This new Hoyo wants to go down the middle, where their story is lighthearted yet tense. Tense, but nothing bad every actually happens.

Go one way or the other. Please. Either realise the tension, or dont have it.

You cant write happy fun stories where characters DIES and then they just come back like nothing's wrong.

You cant write tense stories where things can go wrong, when every time something saves them.

This isnt just in GI. Its all their games lately.

I need a moment to come to terms that this company that has thrashed my feelings and made me connect with fictional characters, a company which has crafted worlds and stories that I enjoyed so much that I think about them almost daily, may be no more.

Please just commit to write a fun story or a story where tension is real. I cant take this repeated overuse of fake tension where nothing bad can actually happen and its all an illusion for much longer.

I disagree with the statement that the feeling of dread is getting stronger, uh, because, you know, Hoyo has refused to act on the tension they've tried having for the past 4 years.

7. Okay, this whole war map thing actually looks interesting.

Im thankful the music is completely missing the mark on the mood. Oh yeah, upbeat tunes and calm tones, thats what I want to hear when Natlan is facing its biggest Abyss attack yet.

I hope my sarcasm shines through on that previous statement.

8. Okay, idea of the whole war map vs abyssal corruption is really cool... But the execution is bad. Nothing corruptive on the map, and the gameplay is short bursts of fighting with about 3-4 minutes of travel time by air balloon which you are forced to do.

Alright they started teleporting me after forcing me to ride the balloon twice. Thank god.

9. Pretty cool cutscene. Would have been better if this wasnt the 6th nation and there was still tension in the story. But you know, Mauvika waved her hand and the crisis was pushed back.

I kept thinking through the entire cutscene "yeah this looks bad, but will it stay that way?" and the answer appears to be a pretty standard "nah" nah it wont stay that bad. Nothing ever does.

10. Ooooh so now we can see the abyssal corruption on the map!

But will it stay that way?

11. Okay. They actually have the guts to show things getting dark. By killing a bunch of NPC's we've never met, but you know, its something! Things are bad! The Abyss is invading! Of course people will die but they're still nameless numbers I've never met or heard about before.

But still, its something!

Still fully expecting Mauvika to destroy the Abyss orb thing and save the day forever. That's basically what Hoyo has repeatedly been doing for years now.

But hey, at least they can stick through things getting dark and not fix it right away after shying away from doing just that for so long.

12. Wow Chuychu just died. I didnt know her for that long but at least she was unique and had a distinct personality.

Im still expecting this crisis to be over by the end of the quest so it doesnt stick, but also like, where the fuck was this 2 years ago? Sumeru and Fontaine would have been so much more tense if this was the status quo!

If this was the tension/precedent set when I entered Natlan I would have been so much more invested in this story!

Aaaaaaaaand there it is. Will Hoyo prove me wrong and Mauvika's plan will fail? I hope but we have all the heroes now

13. That was a good scene with Cisca. Chisca? carrying in Chychu.

But also, like, "this was is about to end" and I've barely seen any of it. So unless the plan fails, this crisis wont stick for any interesting amount of time and will be completely contained to Natlan with no impact on any of the other nations or characters. Which is a massive shame.

14. yeaaaaah this is about to end isnt it? Resurrection is back, hopeful music is playing.

This was a good quest. I hope Hoyo can relearn what they have lost from it.

Im fully expecting them to defeat the Abyss and have a bright happy ending where everything is fine. The quest will still be good despite that, I'll keep some hope that the Hoyo I am a fan of isnt entirely gone and that they can recover from their fake tension dump.

The absolutely worse scenario is that Chychu is resurrected. That will make me throw my controller into my monitor.

15. alright, looks like Hoyo does understand that just pasting a character back into the story after they showed said character dying is a really bad idea for tension and stakes!

The result is expected - nothing except this specific quest is impacted, which is a shame, but baby steps! Things went bad and lots of people died and it wasnt quickly solved and the dead stay dead.

I would have liked to see a more gradual war over several quests rather than in a single quest that took place over like, a few hours, but again - BABY STEPS.

I hope they learn from this and stops doing their fake tension shit in every one of their games.

16. Okay, "task of wiping out the Abyss" thats jumping the gun, isnt it? Dont we have that whole thing with the Abyss Order and Khaenri'ah to see first?

17. BOOOO they couldnt even add the broken sky into the game? Come the fuck on, even Mauvika spoke about it as if it was permanent.

They'll make you solve problems in world quests that makes the world look less interesting, but after the "fake sky" was revealed, they dont make it permanent and only give us a short glimpse of it, even if the characters treats it as a possibly permanent thing in the sky?

Come on.

Quest was fine. I hope Hoyo learns from it and stops doing their fake tension bullshit - in all their games.

• Kazuha, Albedo — I haven’t see much of their personalities (other than Albedo liking Cyno’s jokes), so I don’t know what to think of them.

• Il Dottore, Pulcinella, Pierro — ABSOLUTELY NOT. Especially Dottore, after what he did to Collei, Wanderer and Diluc >:(

• Venti — Fun fact: He was the first Genshin character I simp for, but I move on from him due to simping for other sophisticated men like Kaeya ;)

• Aether — I used to simp for him, but ever since the Furina Story Quest, he left me with a sour impression, especially when she’s my favorite character :((

• Yanqing, Misha, Arlan — Same reason and Bennett and friends, I just see them as friends!

To those I’m not very fond of at first glance, I simply remain quiet and speak when spoken to. And I leave the conservation as quickly as I can, as I hate conserving with those I’m barely familiar with.

I get irritated easily. The slightest tease will irk me, and I WILL give you a disgusted look guarantee! Unless the person’s hot, then I do the same thing but get flustered when he’s not around.

I wear glasses! I don’t know if that’s important but I’ll just add that for later uses.

Embarrassing memories haunt me DAILY! Whether it’s from my childhood or just a few days ago. They will torment me and when they do, I’ll either bite my fingers HARD (NOT ‘til it bleeds) or pinch someone (like a piece of paper for example).

I’m very paranoid. Once in an hour maximum, I’ll look behind my back whether I’m in a safe environment or not.

I rarely concentrate on something for a while. Unless it’s games, shows, drawing or music.

A few chance encounters in Liyue led to your familiarity with each other, but boy did it take a long time. You two met when you stopped by Bubu Pharmacy for a medical concern. It was a pleasant encounter, but it was only when you kept coincidentally bumping into one another around Liyue that your interest in him piqued. 

It’s a relationship that develops slowly over time, but it's most certainly one of love and healing with one another.

If you ever leave your glasses around, or the lenses’ need a quick clean, he’ll always do so even if you don’t ask. He secretly likes when you fall asleep against him with them on, because it gives him the opportunity to tenderly slip them off your face. You’ve done the same for him quite a few times, and he loves to return the acts of kindness you give him. 

He understands your paranoid nature and he does his best to alleviate your paranoia in any way he can. Ranging from very detailed plans to frequent words of reassurance that yes, no one is following the two of you, he is very attentive to you. 

Baizhu is very doting at every opportunity he can be, since he does spend a lot of time treating people and well- being sick as a result. He feels guilty whenever you give him that concerned look of yours, but he wants to achieve the goals he’s set out for himself. 

With that being said, he is very supportive of you. He’ll subtly distract you whenever you pinch something or bite your fingers. He doesn’t judge, as we all have our habits, but he doesn’t want you to unintentionally hurt yourself. 

Baizhu has learned how to make superb dumplings solely for you. Whenever he picks up on your bad mood, expect dumplings set before you at his earliest convenience. He can be a bit busy at times, but he always finds time in his day to tend to you and communicate with you. He’ll do activities with you as often as he can, and enjoy every second of it (even if his body is secretly screaming for him to stop).

He loves it if you engage in your own activity while he does his work. He’s fond of staying inside with you, and spending time in one another’s company. Changsheng takes some time getting used to you, but eventually she warms up. She’ll even ask for you when you haven’t seen each other for awhile, but she’ll never admit that to your face.

He brings you to bed, laying you down gently before tucking you in. It isn’t long before he joins you.

“I love you, and I greatly appreciate everything you do for me.” Baizhu whispers the words against the shell of your ear before pressing a lingering kiss there.

He joins you shortly after in the world of dreams, while the two of you wearing matching content smiles as you slumber in the waking world.

It's been a while since I updated anything. Some reasons were due to unmotivation, busy, and family vacation.

In the span of four months, there were some significant changes made to my gaming progress. I may or may not share in greater details in a separate post, but in this post, I will be sharing about what are the updates that has been going on in my gaming journey.

1️⃣ Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact, by far, is the most active game in my list. I guess what motivates me to constantly play Genshin was the progress I am making in my character building progress.

Moreover, patch 4.7 just dropped two days ago and there was also a huge lore drop regarding the Abyss. As I had expected, we finally meet our Abyss sibling face-to-face one more time. Well, I am not going to dive into the details because firstly, I have yet to play the story myself, just saw some clips on TikTok, and secondly, spoilers.

There are many things I want to talk about regarding this new story, but it will have to wait until I am done with the story myself to confirm my pre-hypothesis to the future of the game and such.

2️⃣ Honkai Star Rail

It saddens me to say that I will be quitting Honkai Star Rail. While I like the turn-based-battle style, the game itself just isn't it for me.

I like the story, I like the characters, but I just don't feel the urge to log in and play the game as frequently as I wish I would be as I did with Genshin. I don't know is it because I like Genshin more, but whenever I thought of logging into HSR, I just prefer to do other things.

I think part of the reason of not feeling motivated to log in and play the game could be because the game doesn't support open-world exploration given how it is build. I feel like this is a shame because given how beautiful the world is, we are restricted by many things, such as jumping and climbing.

Anyway, I am not here to dive into details (which I am not sure of myself) but just to give an update that I am no longer playing HSR. I guess the silver lining would be that I have yet to remove the game from my other mobile devices so possibly I may return in the future?

3️⃣ Sky Children of the Light

I know I said I quit the game. But the reason I keep going back is because I have this bucket list I want to fulfill in this game. And that is to accumulate 1000 candles.

In case some of you are not sure what candles I am talking about, candles are basically the in-game currency of Sky, similar to your mora in Genshin.

I shared this wish list of mine on the Facebook community, and some very kind souls started calculating for me how long it would take for me to gather 1000 candles. Surprisingly it is not that long (think within a couple of months), but the issue is I don't play it every day.

Another delay to my journey was a particular Traveling Spirit (Past seasonal spirits that will allow you to purchase their cosmetics from them) appeared. This spirit, I call him Cheese Coat, did not make any appearance for the past 3 years, according to some of the senior veterans. When Cheese Coat appeared, I decided to spend all of my candles to get my very own Cheese Coat.

I finally managed to get my candles back up, past the 100 candles threshold. But ever since then, I have yet to log in...

4️⃣ Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves was released very recently and many Genshin players went over to play it. The feedback was extremely positive. I have caught wind of this game long ago and it has been on my list of games to try ever since.

I manage to download the game but I have yet to actually play it. I am excited to go play it as I have been seeing many of the popular Genshin Streamers playing the game as well.

Let's hope I have the time to juggle between Genshin and Wuthering.

5️⃣ Hogwarts Legacy

I... kinda forgot about this game... So while I did play the game, it was technically only in the beginning...

I guess now I have to restart the entire game because firstly, I chose the wrong house... Secondly, I need to get use to the controls again.

Anyway, the game is extremely fun to play and I hope I would be active enough to see myself near to the end of the game before Hogwarts Legacy 2 comes out.
