Rein didn't seem to even begin to flinch at the pinch. He wasn't often scared, though he did have fears. Devils were not on the list. Did not make the cut. He actually smiled, tilting his head to one side.

At the query, Rein squinted. He thought about it for, well, probably longer than he should, "But does that not defeat the purpose of the gift? He looked confused, lips pursing and moving off to the side, "I have a place to sleep, friends, a full belly, sometimes, even a warm fire. I'm not sure what you'd even give me. if i have to read one more published fantasy book that uses irl memes and online vernacular in its dialogue i’m taking away the toys until y’all can learn to respect yourselves. Not only does it break immersion in your world and detract from your characters having their own voices, it also makes you, the author, seem like a dim parrot incapable of neither original thought nor basic understanding of the passage of time

1) due to the timeline of publishing, any meme included will automatically be hopelessly dated by the time the story reaches readers and

2) it’s literally the same thing Ready Player One did. Hey look i’m pointing at a thing in pop culture. Did you get my reference? Did you get it? Let me list some more colors and shapes you recognize. Did you get it? And then Gideon Nav hit the dab or whatever. Hashtag Relatable!

It’s so painfully unfunny and uncompelling every time. We can do better. Apply some creativity to your own work

Soo, I kinda went aside from the fandom and watching DetCo for months and switched my attention to the uni stuff and my own OCs, so there probably won't be much activity here aside from the reblogs for some time <:") Sorry about that

But I still wanted to show a bit of things I had in my files that I didn't get to finish or. Well. I'm honestly not sure if I ever get to finish them at all. This sketch back from autumn 2022 is one of those. I still really love this idea and how the composition turned out etc, that's why I wanted to show it to ya even if I never get to finish it <:)

I liked exploring dynamic between Gin and Shiho/Haibara, and in my animal/anthro AU I had an idea of like, Gin kinda seeing her as a pest after her betrayal of BO + like a hunt object. Not like literally seeing her as a rat, but acting and relate to her as that <D More like a metaphor I think
