“Either the abductions aren’t happening here or the abductor isn’t abducting annoying people, which would be a shame.”
“Well we’re here now, where were all the abductions happening? Cause we sure as hell aren’t here for the cotton candy.”

“I believe it is impossible to have too many funnel cakes. Just like it’s impossible to have too many drinks.”
“The carnival has been fun so far, but I think I may have ate one too many funnel cakes.”

“Exactly, it takes time to get used to them, but the reward is more than enough.” Maya explained, finally glad to have someone who shared her thoughts on the disgusting rodent men. Of course she couldn’t say as much out loud, but still. “And we enjoy having you work for us. Honestly, it’s nice to have a new look on things.”
“The best part is when you can actually muster enough energy to be nice to them, and they give you an extra tip,” she said with a grin, pulling her hair back into an elastic. “But seriously, I love working for you guys.”

Maya rolled her eyes at the very mention of over ‘friendly’ guys. Those are her least favorite customers. those are the ones she wishes she could just kick out, but she knows she’ll just have to deal with it. “Oh yes, I’m very familiar with those kind of customers. They help the business though, with all the drinks they buy, you know?”
“Yeah, it hasn’t been anything I can’t handle. Mostly over friendly guys, but I’m you are far too familiar with that,” she said with a laugh.

Maya glared at the boy at the counter as she made her way back from the front door. It’d been work as usual, a little busier than normal, for a tuesday, but then some guy got pissed over something or other and slammed his fists on the counter, making his drink fall over. Somehow, because witches have a big ass target on their head that says ‘please fuck with me’ that drink knocked over some other drinks and made a big ass mess, soaking Maya in the process. Of course she kicked the guy and his friends out, but now she has some kid, a vampire no less, fucking laughing at her. She has no reason to kick him out, not yet, so she has to deal with him, for now. “Should I kick you out too?” She asked, grabbing some towels and starting to clean up the mess manually, wishing she could use her magic, but she couldn’t, not in front of this kid.
“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry but that-” Lukas muttered between bouts of laughter, pressing his lips together to hold them in. Another chuckle broke forth as he looked to the other, an almost guilty look showing in his eyes before it was replaced with amusement. Taking in an unneeded breath, he attempted to compose himself. “That was too funny.” He stated with a grin, unable to hold it back as smile lines tugged at his facial features. “M’sorry… I shouldn’t laugh…”

“Don’t take it personal, I avoid all blood suckers.”
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were avoiding me.”

Maya looked at the vampire with a raised eyebrow. She wonders idly if the other will start a fight, if she will get in her face and finally start something. The second the Tiro hears the other’s voice by her ear, she prepares to attack, her blood almost literally boiling. But then the vampire is gone, far away and walking away. “How boring.” Maya mumbles, her body relaxing as she watched the other a little more before turning to go her own way.
“I have no doubts.” Bailee sneered back, an unpleasant look flashing across her face. “Maybe next time you should walk with a little more-” And in a split second she appeared behind Maya to whisper into her ear, “caution.” And Bailee let the silence take over before she was well on her way, getting far from the woman before she had a chance to retaliate.

Maya rolled her eyes, this guy, no, boy, that’s really all he is, is just being a drama queen. “Sweetheart, you haven’t even asked for another drink, so how about you finish that one, then we talk?” She stated, less of a question and more of an order because she wasn’t dealing with this child right now.
“Double the price my ass!” Emerson had shouted louder than necessary. “I should be sorry for doing that, because I sound like a douchebag, but I’m not sorry.” He was bad at trying to prove his point to anyone. “Same price or you lose a customer.” Emerson said not trying to even be nice anymore.

Maya rolled her eyes at the mention of the other Tiro, he might be wicked like them, he might be evil like them, but he will never be like them. She would never say this much to her Hera’s face, let alone Alistair’s face, but she was allowed to think whatever she wanted of the other man. “Oh boohoo.” She stated, as if echoing her thoughts to her friend, but not coming out and saying them. The Tiro looked at the rat-man for a few more moments, enjoying the sight of him, but then she raised her hand, separating her fingers, barely even focusing and froze the man’s body, every part of it she could. Then the Tiro quickly closed her hand into a fist, and the body shattered into millions of pieces. “He can clean up this filth.” She added, satisfaction clear in her voice as she turned and walked away from the scene.
Laughing, Arria felt a pang of satisfaction as the knife hit the wall. “They look beautiful.” Cooler in hand, Arria finished off the last drop and chucked it carelessly at the corpse. Hitting the man’s shoulder it cracked, a few pieces lodging in him and the rest falling to the floor. A stunted laugh escaped as she looked around. “Alistair’s going to kill us for all of this.” It was an easy fix with their magic, but it was still his home they were destroying.

Maya looked at the boy in front of her, trying to keep the kind, welcoming smile on her face, but really she just wanted to laugh in this boy’s face. A semi-nice soul? Oh, what a sweetheart, if only he knew. “Mhmm, next drink is double the price.”
“Maya Reed. What a nice name for such a…..semi-nice soul.” Emerson had only said this to get a conversation that wasn’t negative going. “That was really bad. I’m sorry.” he said lightly chuckling but regaining his rigid emotionless face.

Maya shrugged, not really caring what happened to this woman or if she could hold her liquor at all. Hell, if this lady ended up puking somewhere, it’s not like this Tiro had to clean it up. That’s what lackeys are for, and magic of course. “Suit yourself.” She replied, moving to clean up a few glasses that people had left behind.
Cadence set her phone aside once more and looked up at the bartender. It took everything in her not to scoff loudly, just picking up the other shot and swallowing it. It didn’t burn nearly as much as the first. “I’m fine. Thanks.”

“That’s good to hear.” Maya said, enjoying the way she could tell that the other girl wasn’t lying. She shrugged at the mention of customers, her own smile widening a bit, “I know what you mean. I’ve had my fair share of annoying customers. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to them.”
“Caligo? Oh, I love it!” she said with a genuine smile. “Can’t say that for all of the customers, but they’re cool for the most part.”

Maya rolled her eyes and moved the plate of food so it was in her lap, glaring at Beck. “More like boss lady is done with fuckboy’s shit.”
“Ouch, boss lady is grumpy much?” Beck said, pretended to be offended.

Maya hummed, disgusted by the other’s attempt at trying to threaten her. Honestly, what’s she going to do? Get addicted to her blood? Come to Maya, on her knees, begging for more blood? Now the smile appeared. Now that would be a pleasant sight. Not even trying to hide her amusement, the Tiro just shrugged, “I don’t even like what’s here.”
“Trying to pick a fight with a vampire is going to do you no good darling.” Bailee licked at her lips in the slightest way, shifting in her step and hearing the beating of the witch’s heart. “I don’t care how high your rank might be, if you threaten my very presence, you won’t like what’s coming.”

“Right,” Maya nodded, liking the answer, but a smile came to her face, “So, what do you think of Caligo?”
“Nothing much,” she said with a shrug. “Just killing time before I have to go to work.”
