Actually I'll talk about it now to clear my mind before bedtime:

I think I've played enough now to say definitively that I don't like Rook. I wish I could choose not to have Natalene smirk and quip so much. I wish the tone options made a difference.

I wish whenever I chose an 'I distrust Solas' option Rook didn't fire off what sounds and feels like a tumblr post. I wish Those Lore Drops weren't delivered via murals and then peer reviewed in the Veilguardian group chat.

And maybe more than any of those things: I wish Rivain was more than a coast and an arenaaaaa. 🫂

I love Suguru but if I’m being honest here, he’s definitely the guy that ghosts you one day.

He’s the heart-aching situationship you never got over even a whole year later. The guy who was always more than a friend but only ever that and never actually your boyfriend.

One day you and him are doing wonderfully, hanging out, talking on the phone for hours, spending all that good quality time together until the next day you can’t get ahold of him to save your life.

He’d just stop answering your texts, your calls would be ignored, and for some reason when you go as far as pulling up to his house, he’s not even there.

Suguru loved whatever it was you two had, but that’s it. He only ever loved it for what it was and never for what it could have been. To you, he was everything you could have ever asked for and more but to him you’ll only ever serve as a nice distraction from all of what’s going wrong in his life.

And it sucks to think about later because whenever you look back on it, you notice way too late that he’d actually gotten rather dry with you through texts and a lot of times he was merely responding to you instead of engaging with you.

Obviously you’re left devastated and you miss him more than anything. One phone call would be nice. One text. Something—anything to save you from blaming yourself for his disappearance because it just has to be you, right?

It’s your fault he left, of course. You weren’t good enough for him. You probably didn’t love him enough. Or hell, maybe you loved him too much for someone he never even dated. Maybe you came on too strong all those times before. If you could go back and change it, you would.

You tell yourself you don’t deserve to be treated like this but shit, maybe you do. Maybe you did something wrong and made him uncomfortable somewhere down the line. Maybe he realized you weren’t as attractive as he thought you were in the beginning.

Fuck, maybe he just got bored with you and moved on to the next…

It’s not until a couple years later that you read in some news report that he’s dead. A bit more digging into the darker web and you realize he had this whole cult going on and apparently some ‘Jujutsu Sorcerer’ was the reason behind his death. <3

i am having. Many Thoughts. about my HWINEBHABWNAJCAHOWEEATOWEUB AU Ford, so here are some unfiltered rambles about him <3

The entire premise of this AU is that it goes exactly the same as canon right up until Bill betrays Ford steals Fiddleford's eyes, and then Ford kills Bill in retaliation. Everything just sorta snowballs into a huge mess from there, with this sad fuck of a man SMACK BAM in the middle of it all.

I like to explore my Ford in the way he reacts to things. It's interesting to see how far I can really take it until it becomes borderline OOC, especially when he kills Bill. He didn't actually fully mean to kill him, but at the same time that was exactly his intention, if that makes any sense?

Although Bill stealing Fiddleford's sight privileges instead of Ford's was one of the main reasons that triggered Stanford's decision to murder him, I'd like to compare his act more as a frantic, desperate grasp to survive, rather than a calculated, cold revenge being enacted. I think that he was just trying to live, in that primal, undeniable fear of death that can consume anyone, even Gods. Especially Gods.

I think that, as much as Bill's murder was a moment of power reversal, in which the victim got a taste of the power their abuser had over them, it was also a moment when Gods and mortals alike became so very aware of their own helplessness in the face of sheer and blind will to just survive. I don't think that Ford felt like a God when he killed Bill. I think that Bill wasn't facing wrathful being in that moment, he was facing a mere man who was so afraid to die he was willing to do anything. But you can't blame him for that, right? You can't blame him for wanting to live? For fearing death? He's only human.
