Not to be hater on main but in the new movie about Mme du Barry (Jeanne du Barry), the director in addition of casting D*pp in the main lead role, casted herself as du Barry.

Maïwenn (the director) is 47 years old. Jeanne du Barry was 25 when she became Louis XV’s mistress (he was 58 so at least casting D*pp is age appropriate). Born in 1743, she was younger than the youngest legitimate child of Louis XV (and he had 10 of them!). Jeanne du Barry was 31 by the end of their liaison, when Louis XV died at 64.

But I guess keeping the 30 years age gap would not have looked as good as trying to make historical figures more palatable.

The think tanks if they were synths in game (where's the mod @ fallout community!!!). I gave Mobius and Klein the scrubs you find for them in the Big MT, but the rest of the crew wears the standard mad scientist scrubs. I know Klein also wears glasses apparently, but my headcanon is that he only wears them when he's reading!

Omg, researching Dante’s weapons for a fic of mine and coming to realise that Dante modifies his own weapons??? 😭😭

Maybe I’m just fawning over anything and everything atp but that’s really endearing?? In a way??

Now I’m in the middle of a fic, thinking about a NEW fic where Dante’s tinkering with guns after loosing Nell because he can’t find someone new to actually do the job right

Like,,, Dante hunched over, in the middle of the night grumbling because he’s wired a part wrong and the trigger won’t, you know, trigger. So he has to pull it apart all over again and figure out what part went wrong before he accidentally breaks another gun with his lack of intelligence

Nico’s report makes it 10x funnier because apparently he sucks at it but somehow makes it work — which makes me think about Dante carefully taking apart old guns he has of Nell’s to examine how she’s engineered them so he can learn off of her work. Trying to reverse engineer and note down everything before his brain overloads and realises just how good Nell was at her job (and how patient she was for dealing with him) (none of his blueprints make any goddamn sense)

He’s pulling shit together, screwing it in place, and hoping when he goes on his next mission it doesn’t just blow up (though he’ll happily use it as a smokescreen or a makeshift grenade if it gets the job done, despite the shame it is on the parts he could’ve reused). After a bit of time, he learns what to mess with and what not to touch or move around too much and slowly gets better with the parts he has

Augh I’m being plagued with visions of Nico trying to teach him how a shotgun is supposed to look like inside and him getting all embarrassed because he thought he did a pretty good job, but now he has someone younger and more knowledgable than him pointing out all of his mistakes. Makes me also partly wonder if he would hang out around Nico to feel like he’s close to Nell again because of how similar they are in their passion for weapon making

(And Nico loving the joint time with Dante because she’s getting close to THE Dante and tries to squeeze out as many stories from him as possible because she’s just so excited) (and she can’t help but yap and ask questions and try to learn as much as she can during this one-on-one time because she doesn’t know when she’ll get it again) (okay I think I’ve exhausted myself now)

Hey guys, I'd like to apologize for disappearing once again. I seem to end up self-sabotaging myself everytime I try to get back into the swing of things (attempting to do the backlog of comms + doodles, opening patreon). I've been feeling lethargic for some time now & tbh I can't help but remember my mom's situation back then before she got admitted to the hospital. I don't want to go through the same thing so I'm trying my best to pick myself up—even though it's hard. I lost my dad last 2016 then my mom this year & it's just... it's a big blow for me.

I'm sorry if I keep asking for help like this... but I've stretched our budget too thin now since I haven't been able to work on anything. If anyone would like to help, my ko-fi page is open. Any kind of help or support is very much appreciated! 🙏

Lastly, I've also been thinking of doing an art stream as a thanks for continuing to support me even though I haven't posted art for so long ;_; Nothing fancy, just a simple stream of me drawing on a canvas (I don't have the guts to show my face or talk I'm sorry... 🙈). Tbh it sounds overwhelming but I thought it might help me gain momentum for drawing again. Idek if I'll actually be able to do it, but it's something that's been on my mind for a while now.
