I did a 45% water change yesterday.....in putting the water in and the cories doing their normal shit.....parts of a tiny skeleton have emerged. I finally fully know what happened to that panda :^(

i should mention, when i say prawline is probably my dream aquarium animal...i do mean it lmao. I never woulda started a fishtank if i didn't really want to have sea monkeys again lmao. after a month of research i decided on cherry shrimp but knew I'd need a seasoned tank so I looked for a cute group of fish to keep with them, and i fell in love with corys. changed my mind again with research to try with an aussie shrimp bc i assumed theyd be hardier for my water (they most certainly are)
The whole time the dream was to have a yabby. I've always wanted a yabby since I was little. unfortunately...theyre amazing escape artists. And then I learny about long-armed prawns/shrimp, and I fell in love with them but didn't wanna risk my fish.......
So when the second tank I'd already set up for cherries was maturing, and I found prawline in my trap one day.......girl i was ecstatic. And she is the sweetest, most precious little girl. And just so FASCINATING to watch. (also her eyes reflect red at night which i wont lie is freaky as fuck.
For someone so scared of roaches....i sure do love these little water roaches.
....my DREAM DREAM aquarium tankmate are African Dwarf Frogs and Thai Micro Crabs, but because of our strict biodiversity laws we can't keep them here *sigh* i'll keep dreaming.

we aren't setting up prawline's new tank until after the cyclone, just in case the power goes out. the cyclone itself won't hit here, but the swells and storms are predicted to. :((( she completed her first moult, so she is healthy, she has both arms now!!!! And she ate all the moult!!!!!! so cool!
as for my main tank. I have one bronze acting very strange, as in.... is floating above the sand???? she's swimming perfectly, and when i put her in the breeder to have a look she was fine sitting on the bottom, she just prefers above 5cm above the sand and i haven't seen her eat....she also looks peachier than the others...
i have some meds coming in the mail, and the big filter for prawline's 90L. (petst*ck sent me the wrong thing ;-;) but bc of the cyclone there's no tell when it'll show up.
i'm very concerned that SOMETHING is happening in the main tank???? since Skinny passed I've noticed i haven't seen Panda #5 in a while.......we checked the cannister, looks great in there but no filter fish :((
ITS JUST THE CORYS!!!!! the tetras are THRIVING, the new batch have almost reached the same vibrancy as the ogs. Champs and the Pacifics are so pretty and happy. My shrimp are great! obvs they cant really breed, but i love them.
.......so what the fuck is happening with the corydoras??? The remaining 4 pandas and 2 peppered (waiting for my local to get in peppers) are going great...but no 5 and the bronzes....idk man..something weird.

One of our local fish shops had macro shrimp and I need them!!!!
I haven’t a place for them yet but when I’ve got a spare tank I’m going to snap up as many as possible >:)
In the mean time I’ll just have to settle with dreaming about and planning their future tank till then.
*Also if anyone recognises what species they are could you let me know so I can research their care better. Thanks.
EDIT: I think I figured out what species they are! Macrobrachium australiense - Freshwater Prawns.
