Custom Godzilla

Its been awhile since i posted anything so i decided to post this recent reinvention of infamous kaiju's design. Reinventing the King of the Monsters!

It been a LOOONG time since i wanted to draw my own version.

For design, i was inspired from many iterations of the monster. From most obvious being Burning Godzilla from Godzilla versus Destoroyah, Godzilla Ultima from recent Singular Point series, and of course, Shin Godzilla.

For skullshape i went for the more whalelike approach with googly eyes of Shin's early forms, giving it moreso fishlike vibe. Since originally "Gojira" comes from "Gorira" (Gorilla) and "Janjira" (Whale). Hence whale pick. Plus, Ultima's skull shape.

From Shin it got tiny arms, eyes, and most prominent, massive tail. Second Godzilla coming from tail is reference to Shin Godzilla unused concept arts where Godzilla divided, as well as, reference to his tail shape and tail beam.

As for texture, i wanted to go with overly nuclear look. Skin rips apart, baring irradiated flesh that bulges out, with skin trying to regenerate with fiberlike structure. It also makes this Godzilla a constant source of massive radiation and heat. Normal humans cannot approach it without burning their skins alive and getting irradiated. It leaves heavily irradiatef footprints and marks whenever it walks, much like to early Shin Godzilla, if not worse.

As for atomic breath, i havent drawn it, but i have ideas for it. And of course it can emit both from mouth and tail.

But, unlike regular interpretations, its not a beam nor a flame. When using atomic beam, Godzilla opens its maw wide, as its dorsal plates and exposed flesh glow brighter, increasing overall radiation emission. Its maw starts glowing blindingly bright with bluish light. Without visible beam, large area its atomic energy is emitted from mouth starts melting and burning, much like heat from stars or melting down nuclear reactors. Similar to effect Supercharged Godzilla's presence did in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, but on much larger scale. This Godzilla also can focus this invisible burst of destruction into thinner beam, as heat increases. Eventually, chain reaction occurs in air itself, as flash of light momentarily hits from its mouth onto target, creating a massive nuclear explosion.

I call this version of Atomic Beam as "Nuclear Radiance" or "Lighthouse of Death".

It also proudly stands at 100 meters height much like Ultima, Heisei and Final Wars. Its also pretty slow and passive like Shin (usually). But can be quite feral. In agressive fight with other kaiju, it can use its massive jaws both on head and tail aside from atomic beam, unable to use arms.

I am planning to remake more kaijus in near future, so, stay tuned, and dont get even mile close to this monster.

Woke up a little late today but I got to work at an okay time. Work itself was uneventful but we had a lot of discussion about this new thing our boss is trying to do where he doesnt want to pay for waste disposal anymore so he's trying to make us do waste disposal for no extra pay, but the two things he doesn't understand is one, you can buy guns at the grocery store in florida, and two, the procedures that exist for the disposal of hazardous waste and sharps were not decided randomly by some guy on a weekend. Like these things have been worked out for centuries but hes too busy spending our earnings gambling in vegas to think these things through all the way. So now we have to put on our osha inspector hats to find all the rules and regulations to put in front of his dumb ass to try to make it clear why it would cost more money to do anything else besides pay the fucking guys that weve been paying for 15 years to just come get the bins that we have specifically for this purpose. Our lab does one thing and he's trying to cut corners and I dont understand why money does this to the cracker mind

Anyway other than that it was normal lol, we got to play a little monster hunter while we were taking breaks and I've switched back to Striker Switchaxe from Valor because I found out that two of the hunter arts are kinda busted together. And also cuz valor style is bad for me. Monster Hunter is a series where you need to practice humility cuz if you use the really good stuff you forget how to play the video game. Valor style is less brain dead than using wire step in Rise but its like, MHGU is street fighter and Valor style is MvC3, you understand yes? I'm just talking to myself but I love it, good game

My partner is back from her parents and I got to hear the stories and gossip about what her sister is doing and how much more her parents like me than her sisters bf and I'm always like say more dog. Her sister got her a ton of Godzilla stuff though, one of which was squishmallows, and they accidentally sent her a mecha godzilla one that has been given to me, and I think I was primed to love this guy because I've been all about steel dragon type Pokémon lately. He's all shiny and shit but very squishable. She was happy with my gifts too which i was worried about because i did not spend nearly as much as she did. But she got me all clothes so i'll be making use of them for a looong time

I didnt get around to my big hiragana day but I spent some more time writing them earlier and I'm getting close to the end of the regular ones. Im on まみむめもやゆよ. Mu is so fucking weird to write but I havent tried it on actual paper yet. I love yu cuz its a fish ゆ

rereading chapter 950 and the prequel chapter 7, and I thought I found something interesting

In 950, there's a chaotic boss fight and zjl is facing the Blossom Valley players... then.

Then, they heard sounds of a greatsword slashing in unbroken succession. A figure had stepped in front of Dazzling Spring. Wild Blood Strike, Whirlwind Strike, and the new skill, Absolute Storm, cut towards Blossom Valley, instantly clearing them away. That player pointed his greatsword to his side. The blood-soaked sword had completely lost its original luster.

In the prequel, the referenced chapter...

Big Sun continued to fixate on his target, and purposely tried to disrupt his opponent’s attack intentions. His constant slashing had long since dyed his blade red, his greatsword sending blood droplets scattering. It wasn’t any less impressive a display than that dazzling show of explosions.

Throughout the battlefield were the prone bodies of the defeated players, throughout the battlefield were dropped equipment. But there was no pause in battle – at this point, whoever stopped to take a breath would be the next to fall.

I just thought of how it all kind of parallels. Like it's in chapter 950 that we see Hundred Blossom fans finally giving into the anger and without a care, started directing their attacks on zjl. And in that moment, szp jumps into the fray. and I think it parallels interestingly in that, when they first met in the prequel, szp cleared the players away to be able to corner zjl in the midst of shadows.

but in 950, the players he defeated were the ones surging against zjl, hundred blossom fans. he cleared them away in an effort to meet zjl again, but not to defeat him. but to join him. and it's just very... i don't know how to put it to words. I guess it comes full circle.

though because i kin luke, imma say that his fave is fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood. ive got no characterization proof for this, i just want to give him this honor

additionally, luke is a HUUUUGE fan of the original Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle novels (ACD Sherlock) and i think this would have pushed him to watch like, just every popular sherlock media adaptation there is. he personally liked Elementary better than BBC Sherlock. he generally just gravitates to the adaptations that dont forget about the heart of all of the characters.

also also also, luke likes action movies ranging from "hey this is "good" to critics" to "this is a shit movie but MY GOD IS IT FUN!!!"

marius von hagen who is 21 years old in 2030 means that from the Important Media Ages (12-15) it was 2021-2024. good fucking lord, marius was born in 2009 and that makes him so young that his Important Media Ages arent even DONE HAPPENING IN OUR CURRENT TIMELINE, JESUS....

2021 is an interesting era of entertainment because it is getting steadily more and more apparent that corporate greed is trying to swallow up good storytelling; movies and shows are made as fast food products to be consumed immediately and thrown away just as fast. there are smarter posts and articles talking about this, but my point here is that marius "believes SO MUCH in art and art's capability to make a difference" von hagen would HATE THIS SO MUCH and, through spite, get into a lot of indie medias that dont necessarily sell. smaller movies, tv shows that got cancelled way before they should have.

oh, hey, MARIUS WAS 12 YEARS OLD IN 2021, yeah he could have watched The Owl House and threw a fucking FIT when disne/y nerfed the show's third season. he has not forgiven and he has not forgotten.

*insert looong personal post with vague tmi but this is my blog so i do what i want sorry*

okay so i got back from south america like two weeks ago and it feels like forever bc its me and my life is basically Allthetimeallthetime! but thats good i like it - and anyway that was my longest trip since i was rlly little and i Missed clothes which is such a wanky thing to say but i was hiking a lot so clothing was 3 tshirts and 2 pants and all wow i can walk in this comfortably and now im back im like oh hell yeah

anyway ive both started wearing packing again (which okay side tangent i havent done since i first came out like over five years ago but also i was very much like all aesthetic choices are around passing and also was just like too fat to find skinny jeans so uhhh thats more of a uh noticable thing than it used to be) and wearing lipstick and its like oh lets both Up the masc and fem things go go

and Maybe its bc i spent a month Not having any slurs yelled at me (or at least no one yelled angrily at me in spanish bc idk what spanish queerphobia sounds like @duolingo give me the goss) Or maybe it’s bc im at uni more often than work so dont have to be conservative or Maybe it’s bc i have more performance unit and am doing more activism so im like surrounded by queer people All the time but im finally Relaxing a lil with gender

and before the climate strike we were doing lecture bashing to get kids to ditch uni and we did a quick hey my name is and my pronouns are thing and i was like they/them and you know activist groups are (usually) v chill with gender so it wasnt a big thing and literally everyone was gnc in the group and it wasn’t until after that i was like oh hey thats the first time ive done that hey

anywaaay im just generally more Chill with gender than i used to be bc ive been like yeah im nb for a Long time but also my brain just like slams the panic button of their gonna think yr a girl if you dont be a Real Man(tm) Anyway Life Goals are to at one point wear a skirt to uni But im also like i literally Have this year to do that bc then i finish my arts degree and move into masters of teaching which is not gonna be as left wing as an arts degree majoring in performance and history ya’know, and Thats another reason why i never rlly bothered to come out properly bc i was like im gonna end up using he/him for work but its been like four days of being correctly gendered and im like oh this is the good stuff right here, but im also like hmmm i rlly Cannot be out in a professional environment at this point which is Fucked but you know. i remember when i first told mum i was gonna go into teaching she was like no you’ll never get a job i wouldn’t higher a queer person (and shes a head teacher so she does actually hire teachers) and i was like wow okay glad to see that having a queer child as helped you deal with yr shit

anywaaaay i still have nearly three years before i graduate so Not really a pressing issue
