havent seen this take in a while thankfully but it popped up in my head and i wanna post this anyways. i think everyone who talks about how siffrin “got off too easy” at the end of isat and his friends should have abandoned him should go read warrior cats if they want an example of a character using their trauma as their god-given jailbreak card to treat their family and peers (a good amount of whom who were completely innocent) like dogshit, and who faces zero consequences from the narrative for it (and in fact bends over to blame their peers). like read all the shit jayfeather does while the narrative sobs over how tragic but awesome and quirky he is and then look me in the eye and tell me siffrin’s ending was poorly written.

Are you named after anyone? - Aw, my middle name is also after my (great) grandmother! I know my parents knew someone with my first name who they really liked, but I wasn't specifically named after her

When was the last time you cried? - Lmao I'm a big crybaby so. um. today. asdfasdfs

Do you have kids? - No, and no plans on it, really.

Sports? - I did dance for a long time! It wasn't competitive, but the company was very involved, so it never felt lesser. My favorite was ballet, but I did jazz, modern, and musical theater :)

Do you use sarcasm? - Absolutely nonstop with my family since that's all of our humor, though I'm hesitant around others since I never want to come off rude.

the school arc to me is so good because it drags ciel out of his position as a powerful figure and literally places him in the shoes of the person he could have been. the circus arc ALSO drags him out of his position as big bad queens watch dog/head of the phantomhive estate but the school arc feels like a mockery of a future that never was. this is what he could have been had his parents not died. and even then its NOT because he will never be that kid.

Okay I'm still on the cocolia lie bullshit but what gets me SO BAD bout it is that gepard. Of all fucking people. IS ALSO LIED TO????

like during the flashbacks before the preservation notices us we see him fucking nearly breaking down to cocolia because he's watched the soldiers under his command not just die to the fragmemtum but become corrupted by it. Like. Gepard's character is so sure and steadfast and unwavering but in that flashback he was nearly falling apart when saying that the men they lost didn't actually die. Like he really saw first hand as people he knew and trained with become corrupted and twisted by the fragmentum. And cocolia DIDNT CARE. She just told him she knew the 'risks' and told him to leave.

But like everyone else Gepard is led to believe that cocolia WASNT cold and heartless. He's just supposed to believe that the countless people sent to their deaths was FOR SOMETHING? that they weren't literally used to feed the stellaron???? Like it's sooooooo fucked up. Of all people gepard should know the truth like motherfucker was used and abused by cocolia and yet he continues to ascertain that the countless orders he took and deaths he saw were Right.
