Do you weigh less than 130 pounds? Yeah, quite a bit less.

Do you straighten your hair every day? No. I haven’t straightened my hair in years.

What’s your favorite kind of ice cream? Strawberry, mint chocolate chip, birthday cake, and cookies and cream are good. I haven’t had ice cream in quite awhile, though.

When’s the last time you got your eyebrows waxed? I only got them waxed once and I was like 14.

How’s your hair right now? It’s up in its usual messy bun.

Have you ever wanted to go to Australia? I would love to.

What’s your favorite fast food restaurant? I’m not as into fast food as I used to be, but the ones I go to when I do have it are Chick-fil-A, Carl’s Jr, McDonald’s, and Jack in the Box.

When’s the last time you washed your hands? A few hours ago.

Who were you with the last time you were drunk and where were you? I was with a group of friends in a hotel room I rented for my birthday back in 2013.

What is one thing within the last year that if it had gone differently you feel might have changed things now? If I had done some things I should have been doing and managing things better regarding some of my health related issues.

What is something that you associate with summer? The miserable heat.

Have you ever ran around outside completely naked? Uh, no. Absolutely not.

When you’re hungry, does your stomach hurt? Sometimes. My body is super dramatic like that. I’ll feel weak sometimes and it’s like omg stop acting like you haven’t ate in days.

Have you ever walked in on your parents doing something kinky? Ahhhh, no.

Do you eat anything out of a box? Yeah.

When’s the last time the fire alarm in your house went off? It’s never gone off. The only time it has made noise is when the batteries need to be replaced.

Pill to make you braver or one to make you smarter? Braver. I’d be able to get some things taken care of that I’ve put off because I’m anxious and scared.

Are you in a hurry to grow up? I am grown up at 31 I guess, but I’m in no hurry to get older. I was never in any hurry.

Do you keep notes, drawings or letters that people give you? Yes. I’m big on that.

Do your friends like the people you date? Do their friends like you? They had an issue with Joseph because they saw what I didn’t want to see, which was that he was using and playing me and wasn’t treating me right. I haven’t had an issue with their friends.

Do your parents let you date, or do you sneak around? I’m 31 years old. I can’t blame my non-existent dating life on that haha.

Have you ever felt backstabbed by a close friend? Yes.

Have you ever regretted ignoring anybody? I’ve pushed people away and messed up good things. :/

What has been the stupidest reason someone has broken up with you? Joseph just didn’t want to commit. He wanted me when it was convenient and when he felt like it.

Who do you blame for your bad mood today? I’m just annoyed because yesterday I slept until 6PM and today I’ve hardly slept at all, I kept getting up like every hour. It’s 10AM now and I first fell asleep around 6, so yeah not much sleep going on. :/

Do you judge people you don’t know? Not to the point that I don't want to get to know them, but yeah. <<< That’s a good way of putting it. Like, I think we all judge people to some extent and that’s normal and not always a bad thing, but some people are judgmental people and they make up their own assumptions and opinions without getting to know a person. They have their mind made up and it stops them from getting to know someone.

Would you date a boy/girl if you knew they were capable of cheating on you? I guess anyone is capable of doing so, so it’s something that could possibly happen in any relationship. However, if I knew someone had in fact cheated before or was known for that, then no I would not. Even if they had cheated once it would be something I’d worry about happening to me.

Did you sleep alone last night? I always do.

If you could have one thing right now what would it be? I’m kinda hungry, but meh.

Would you rather have ten kids, or none? None, hands down. I don’t even want one kid, let alone TEN.

Do you tell your mom or dad everything? I tell my mom a lot.

Does it matter to you if your boyfriend or girlfriend smokes? It would absolutely matter to me if they smoked cigarettes.

ahhhh congrats on 2.5k! i am in fact using this as an excuse to put sommat in ur ask box (bc i certainly haven’t always wanted to but been too scared nO) 🔥- mayhaps.... a ship for Harry Potter, a series of unfortunate events and the marauders era (also Harry Potter lol). idm what gender the person is btw. I love to read, write about anything that comes to mind, write poetry, I love musical theatre, and my fav genre of music is songs that make you want to throw urself into a bog in the best kinda way. im smart, quite anxious, low-key a train wreck, I’m so sarcastic it’s bad, m pretty well-liked and kind sometimes. and i don’t like when ppl cross boundaries that have been clearly set out, or those foam banana sweets. other stuff is that I’m a Ravenclaw, intj, secretly a 7 year old. thank you!!! and well done again on 2.5k! (that’s a crazy number homie. not surprised they follow u but it’s a lot 😳)

HP Golden Trio:

okay, quick side note but you would be best friends with michael corner, you cannot convince me otherwise. in my mind, michael corner is the most sarcastic ravenclaw and generally a disaster, and the two of you together would be peak friendship.

first of all, you’re both hella intelligent, even if it’s not the first thing people recognize, and you both have strong wills - you are a power couple if i’ve ever seen one.

i 100% believe that ginny is shocked by your sarcasm at first. you’re introverted and a little shy when you first meet people, so she wasn’t expecting you to come out with the big guns, but when you do she loves it. the two of you can rip apart anyone you come up against.

but, what’s also good about you guys is that you are also kind and pretty charismatic, when you want to be. you both are softer underneath your intense independence, and so in the vulnerable moments, the two of you can lean on each other for help.

ginny is a music lover, but i don’t imagine she’s too into musicals, so the two of you definitely do some music hunting together, finding songs that both of you adore. due to your natural curiosity, you’re open to new music, which is good because ginny has some that are very near and dear to her, and she can be just a little stubborn when it comes to her tried and trues.

we all know that ginny is the biggest extrovert we’ve ever met, and you’re more of an introvert, which is going to be interesting, to say the least. the redeeming quality here, though, is that you are fairly versatile and so is ginny, so both of you are willing to try out what the other loves.

i imagine that you were friends for a long while before you got together - and that happened kind of naturally, with ginny telling you, once she realized it - so you’ve definitely figured out activities that the two of you do well together.

but, both of you value your independence and are totally fine for the other to do something without you - as long as they bring you food after, or at the very least, a good story.

i think that ginny loves your way with words - your writing and poetry is something she finds very sweet and interesting. she’s never been one to pour her heart on on a page, and to see you do that is something really special.

(don’t @ me, ginny send harry that poem when she was in her first year and then never did so again. she probably got a really bad taste in her mouth for writing down the her feelings - the diary, anyone?)

at least once, you have convinced ginny to try and write poetry, but she insists that it comes out all wrong - she’d much rather use something like songs - ideas already written down - to profess her love for you.

there’s a lot of dancing in the living room in your relationship, the music on full blast.

HP Marauder Era:

I ship you with Remus Lupin!

i kind of went in the opposite direction, but stick with me.

alright, so we all know that remus is an awkward mess when he’s first meeting people, but then he has the (quiet) confidence to rival his fellow marauders once he’s warmed up to you. i imagine you are much the same way, so i’m going to say that the two of you end up meeting because you have a class together and end up being partners after the marauders get split up. maybe charms? either way, the two of you meet and over the course of the week that you work together, you become comfortable and get to know each other alright.

but then, because i am a cruel writer, you don’t properly talk again until you are in the same apparition class. the two of you definitely see each other in the halls or you pass in the library and you’re kind to one another, but you don’t have drawn out conversations until you are learning to apparate, and you are terrified that you are going to get splinched.

(which is a valid fear, tbh, remember how susan bones legit lost a leg? and poor ron?)

remus is, again, assigned to be your partner (no doubt mcgonagall told the instructor to split up the marauders) and having been well versed in coping with paralyzing fear, he help you calm down and over the course of the class, gets you to apparate multiple times (enough to get your license) without having a single accident.

it’s also during this time that the two of you start hanging out more. a couple times the two of you skip lunch (which is right after your class) and head to the library or courtyard to work on homework or studying. you’re very clever and very creative in the way that you study, so you are a big help to remus, who is perpetually behind in school work.

and on your little study dates (which are not dates, it’s not like remus has had a crush on you for years or anything) you both realize that together your sarcasm is unparalleled. it’s enough to shock lily evans, who is known for her sharp tongue.

and you realize you really like this side of remus - you love all of his soft kindness, of course, but this? this is legendary. remus doesn’t hold back and his comments never fail to make you scoff and laugh in disbelief. he can be so savage in his remarks - it now makes sense why he is friends with the marauders.

eventually, you hear the marauders teasing him mercilessly about his crush on you - “ever since you were charms partners in 3rd year, moony!” - and he doesn’t even deny it.

and so you bring it up in some roundabout way the next time you’re walking to the quidditch pitch (you often keep him company when he has to support james’ matches) and remus stumbles over his confession, but you kiss him right as the game starts (and james is too busy rooting for remus that he gets hit with a bludger)

i can 100% see you and remus hanging out in the ravenclaw tower (it’s one of the few places he can go to escape his friends), reading or working on homework while listening to music.

he especially loves musicals, and the two of you debate over what song in the show is the best, and whether contemporary musicals are better than golden age musicals. a lot of the time he’ll play devil’s advocate just because he loves the fervor with which you defend your opinions.

She really only ever gets pissy (or used to! they’re starting to get along better !!!) at Kiri when she feels jealous for whatever reason, and that doesn’t happen as often as it seems through my doodles, so it’s not like she’s always antagonistic towards him! Mostly she just ignores him, so no, it doesn’t happen often at all! And she’s never gone further than messing his hair up or tugging a bit at his clothes, since she doesn’t have the strength to move Kiri all that much haha the only reason she managed to have him fall the first time was because he was balancing already, but generally Kiri weighs way too much for her to move him around or pull at the red stuff he’s wearing enough for him to notice it all that much

anyway, Baku never reprimended her for it - not more than he did in the first comic I posted with them, at least, specifically because the damage she can make is so minor that Kiri and Baku barely consider it something to tell her off for... if she were ever to act that way towards someone she might actually hurt (say, a kid her own age) then Baku might reprimend her more seriously, but as long as she’s just tugging at Kiri’s clothes they don’t see it as anything worth fighting her over :D

What a good question you got there!! She has control over everything that has a color that falls in the red wavelength of the visible spectrum - that does include certain tones of pink and certain tones of orange, but there’s a point where orange gets too yellow or pink gets too white that her powers stop working. As long as the red in the color is more than any other hue, though, her powers work!

Once they start getting along better Akane and Kiri actually start helping each other with their hair! They’re both very particular about it so they understand each other as far as that topic goes haha

She hasn’t spent much time with Jirou yet so right now she’s mostly meh about her (though right now she only actually likes Bakugou, and she’s warming up to Kiri, but that’s about it). She doesn’t mind Mitsuki, but she hasn’t spent too long with her either! Spelunking in Russia

-- Disclaimer -- This story is from summer 2014. I wrote the beginning shortly after it happened, and never penned the rest until just now, six years later. So sadly I can’t remember a lot of the small details, but I try to recount the story to the best of my recollection. Here goes nothing...

Hi all, sorry it's been so long since my last post, but I promise this story's worth the wait.

So last week was the final week for the students on the 4-week program. To celebrate, we all went to a bar on Friday night and I tried a vodka milkshake. I'm not sure if I liked it..I think I would have preferred just the milkshake.

Then I walked home with some friends and was finally out late enough that I got to see the city "at night" - I say this in quotes because at 1 or 2 AM the sky still wasn't completely dark. St. Petersburg at night is absolutely beautiful.

When Marie and I got home (Marie is the other student who lives with the same host family as I do), we went into the kitchen for water and a snack. Alexey, the father of the 3 small girls who all live with us, comes into the kitchen and prepares himself a meal (remember, this is about 2, 2:30 in the morning). He starts talking to us pretty quickly (well, normally I guess, but to us it seems fast) and we nod along, even though we don't understand what he's saying.

Then his father-in-law, Sasha (a diminutive for Alexander), comes into the kitchen and asks us if we understand. We admit that we don't and he gets annoyed that we didn't say anything, but to be honest it's late and we're pretty tired. Sasha explains that Alexey and Julia (his wife) met in a cave. "Ahhhh" we say, as if that explains the entire 5 minutes of talking we just heard. Then Alexey, speaking slower, goes on to explain something to us. All I am able to distinguish is: "forest," "photographs," "festival," "you will get dirty." He asks us if we want to come with him. Marie passes but I, feeling adventurous, say I would like to.

The next day (well, technically later on the same day), on Saturday, I finish my homework and wait for Alexey to return. **Now writing in retrospect, 6 years later, based off memory.** I’m clad out in a new pair of hiking pants and some sneakers. When Alexey returns he looks at me and asks if that’s what I’m going in, because it looks too nice to get dirty. I feel self-conscious and say it’s fine. He packs some bags and we head down the old staircase to his old jeep and take off.

The car ride is bumpy to say the least. As a typical driver in St. Petersburg, Alexey zooms in and out of traffic in his very used, very noisy jeep, the safety of which is questionable. At one point the car stalls. Russian music plays on the radio as this stranger that I’ve known all but a few interactions drives me toward the outskirts of the city and beyond, out into the country where the roads are narrow, without shoulders. Since he doesn’t speak English and I barely know Russian, we don’t hold a conversation.

After about 45 minutes or an hour, he pulls over the car and informs me that we’ve arrived. I look around. All I see are fields and forests. Still, I’ve been to a huge music festival in Denmark before that’s held in the middle of farms, so I go with it. I get out the car to help him unload the trunk but he just changes shoes and says to get back into the car, that he’ll go another way. Confused, I get back into the car and Alexey starts driving off the road and into the forest. There’s no road, but Alexey weaves between trees, as he did in traffic, the car bouncing so violently that I picture the screws falling out and the whole car just going to pieces.

By this point, I start to get a little worried. Why did this man take me out to the middle of nowhere? Surely I can’t be in any danger because the school program know him, right? I mean, they are letting me live with him and his family. Yet I can’t help wondering…

Then he stops suddenly - trees are blocking the way. He backs up, driving just as fast in reverse as he was going forward, weaving through the trees backward. Stops. Forward again. Then we’re there, and I see a bonfire and some tents. Relief washes over me. We set up a small orange 2-person tent a bit away from the others and Alexey tells me to follow him through the woods. Despite the signs of other people, I don’t see anyone.

We leave our stuff in the tent and walk a few minutes until we get to a crater in the ground with a small hole at the bottom, like a tunnel. We’re close to the roadway - I hear a truck go by. Alexey starts speaking quickly in Russian. He hands me a flashlight, motions to the tunnel in the crater and says “You go first.”

I’m starting to suspect that there’s no music festival, after all.

I climb down, turn the flashlight on, and enter the cave. Alexey follows behind me. The space is small, dark, and damp, and every time a truck passes on the road the earth trembles. Alexey motions for me to follow and we venture further into the cave, at some points squeezing through narrow spaces to get into the next “room.” I feel extremely claustrophobic. Some water drips on my head, or is it slime from bats? I don’t like caves one bit, I conclude.

Alexey starts speaking to me. I think he’s explaining different types of rocks, but I have no clue what he’s saying. I try asking what the caves are used for. I think he mentions something about bunkers in the wartime. Makes sense, I think.

Then, much to my relief, Alexey motions back to the single entrance and we exit the cave. Nearby is another crater - in fact, they’re everywhere. Now I hear voices. We enter another hole and it’s like some sort of art exhibit, or the private meeting place of a secret society. Candles are lit, figures are drawn on the cave walls, and a small group of Russian boys and men are drinking and talking in the cave. Alexey greets them and introduces me.

I’m embarrassed when he says I’m American and they all are suddenly fascinated. They start asking me questions, practicing their broken english, and laughing. I have a sinking feeling that they’re laughing at me and slinging some insults. I try my best to respond, and not feel self-conscious. I spout my rehearsed intro about myself and why I’m in Russia - to learn the language because I think it’s a pretty language. They offer me alcohol but I decline.

When we get outside, we head to the tents, where others have now gathered, among them women and children. I start speaking with them and we eat dinner (I think some sort of hot dogs and beans? Though I can’t say I remember). We talk about Russian novels, and poems, and music. I’m embarrassed that I don’t know more but they’re impressed with what I do know, and I feel a bond. Vodka is passed around. Then someone breaks out their guitar and the whole camp - about 10 of us maybe - starts singing together.

We stay that way for a while, until the sun finally disappears and night falls. I get to know a young mother (Irina) and her young son, and another girl from Moscow, Natasha, who’s about my age (I will go on to visit them each again, twice, during my stay in Russia. I’m still friends with them on Facebook and Vkontaktya).

I feel much more at ease now that I have made some female friends. Then someone picks up a shovel, yells “Davai!”, and heads off into the darkness. Everyone follows with flashlights, still singing and strumming the guitar. We get to another crater and two men jump in and start shoveling, one of them now shirtless. The music continues and the shovelers swap out. I think they’re trying to find an entrance to another cave. (I don’t remember if they actually did, but I don’t think so.)

It seems like hours pass like this before people start heading back to camp for bed. It was starting to get light again, but because it was summer (white nights), it was still the middle of the night. Alexey and I made our way to the small, orange tent and, exhausted, fell asleep. I slept in my clothes, next to my host-brother, and though we each had our own sleeping bag, I felt quite weird about the situation. Anyway, he snored, and the next thing I knew it was morning.

We ate some kasha or bagels and cheese (I think) for breakfast and packed up. I guess the cave exploring was over (thank God). I swapped telephone numbers with Irina and Natasha, and made plans to go to the beach along the Baltic with them later that day. Then Alexey and I drove back home.

The beach we went to was close to Irina’s dacha, out in the country. We had to take a train and then stand on a hot and overcrowded marshutka to get there. Many locals spent their summers at their dachas, or traveled there on weekends, which was the case for my host-family. On the train I could see travelers hauling bags of freshly picked mushrooms and berries from the countryside back into the city.

By this point, my Russian improved a lot and I was able to have pretty meaningful conversations with Irina and Natasha about the differences between the US and Russia, especially around finances. Sadly, Natasha had to return to Moscow the next day, and although we met up when I visited Moscow one weekend with the school program, we haven’t kept in touch. I feel like we would have become friends if she lived in St. Petersburg.

Irina did live in St. Petersburg, in the outskirts, and I did visit her for dinner one evening. Because I was super late, I didn’t have time to buy any food or housewarming gift. I know is considered rude to show up empty-handed, and I tried to explain that I didn’t want to be more late than I was already, and apologized many times, but honestly I was too embarrassed to hold close contact with her after.

Overall, spelunking in Russia was the craziest thing I did there. I was uncomfortable the entire time, but I’m so glad I impulsively decided to go. I can’t say that anything tangible came out of if (lasting friendships, hard skills, or even photos because I was too nervous to take any), but this memory sure does make for one hell of a story, and I’ll never forget it.

Picture me, casually stumbling upon this fic one late night. Historical? Check. An AU but Gerard’s talents are still appreciated and encouraged, and he makes a name for himself? Double check. Grant Morrison? Check. Gerard and Grant’s dark secrets? CHECK CHECK CHECK CHECK CHECK

Me: *already fucking shaking from excitement, now glancing up at the tags* Enter the tag Alternate Universe - Vampire. Queue foaming at the mouth.

This fic was so fucking awesome in so many ways I don’t even know where to begin. The slow and suspenseful unraveling of secrets and mysteries. The numerous parallels drawn between the AU and real life events of the people in it, and that the author made sure that they all worked within the AU without a hitch. All the actions and ambitions of the people in it that somehow managed to balance masterfully on the fine line between what’s canon and what’s realistic for that time period.

Fuck, lurkers guys. I’m not sure if my word-vomiting even gets anyone to read fic on my list, but for the sake of this fic (and my ego sdkjlskldhfklf) I ask anyone reading this to p l e a s e read it. For your own sake. And mine. Because I need to yell about this fic with somebody, STAT.

Ships: Gerard/Grant, and very, I repeat, VERY low-key Frank/Mikey

Adrift - When successful author Gerard Way is forced to do something drastic to spur on his creativity, he decides to move out of the city. He buys an old villa in the small town of Kellmington and is satisfied with that, until he discovers that it’s already inhabited by one of the former residents: a persistent ghost. To have a dead spirit around is certainly not what he paid for, but Gerard soon learns that the ghost has its own story – a story that might lead him to a life-changing plot twist. 31k

Maaaaan I am I glad I read this. A ghost ... mysteries ... historical flashbacks ... a pinch of horror ... Successful Writer!Gerard ... foreshadowing ... Old creaky houses ... I’m going to come clean. I shed tears over this fic. Dammit, I need some art of that last scene. Maybe I’ll make an attempt once exams are out of the way.

The Collision of Your Kiss - Gerard can hardly believe it when his new neighbor and latest obsession, Frank Iero, agrees to go out to dinner with him. It seems as though Gerard's dreams have come true, but he soon discovers that Frank's "hobby" is a little unconventional. Gerard still wants to be with him, though--if Frank's deadly secret doesn't put a wrench in their relationship. 4k

The Old Straight Track - Death is weird, Frank thinks, though he suspects this is not the way it’s really supposed to go. 30k

This fic is haunting, in more than one way ;) … Okay, enough puns. Anyway this one has this really cool part – and I’m not going to spoil it!! – With the main dudes and a window and I love it a lot so please read it and maybe shoot me an ask and yell about That scene so I can yell back about how gr8 it is. That is all.

Oh and it has a hilariously lost Pete who can’t get anyone to explain anything to him and it was a well needed laugh from all the other shit going on in the fic.

Monster Under the Bed - “You’re not real. Go away,” Gerard ordered. “If I’m not real, then who are you talking to?” it countered. “My imagination.” “Can your imagination shake the bed?” Gerard screeched. “Stop that!” There was a sigh from underneath the bed. “It makes me sad to be told I’m not real. Sad and angry.” Gerard whimpered and squeezed his eyes shut. “All right—you’re real! Stop shaking the bed!” 3k

A Red So Deep - Constantine AU. Warnings for gore, religious themes, suicide.

Brendon says, “Ugh.” “That’s why I like you,” Frank tells him between spits. “You’re articulate.” “What else is there to say, you know?” Brendon shrugs. He gingerly pinches his jacket by the edges of a button and lifts it a little to get access to the inner breast pocket. “’Ugh, we’re covered in blood because you killed a demon with a shotgun that was blessed by some psycho priest a decade ago.’ Like that?” “You’re right. Don’t do that,” Frank concedes after a pause. 14k

Criminally underrated. Frank deals with a lot of shit that other people don’t usually notice, and Brendon is his nerdy apprentice of sorts. Frank runs into Gerard, who has come for his help. Throughout the fic you’ll notice that things are gearing up for something ... big. Which of course unnerves the hell out of Frank. Also, no spoilers and all that but this seriously gives me strong vibes of Deathwish (guess who just got home and saw that her copy arrived!). Which of course, just adds more awesomeness to it.

Shadows In The Parking Lot - In which there’s a mass grave under Frank and Ray’s apartment complex, Frank doesn’t believe in ghosts, & Frank’s ex-boyfriend is, conveniently, a paranormal consultant. For Milo. 61k

Well, I just stayed up until 4AM to finish this masterpiece. I love love love the characterization, and the whole “we used to be a thing years ago.” Which I haven’t really read much of, but it worked SO well for this fic and it might be my new thing. Not to mention the spookyness! It was so awesome, especially how nonchalant Frank was about ghosts in the beginning, which seemed to be more confusing to Gerard than if Frank just straight up was a firm non-believer. lol. Will definitely reread around Halloween! :D Also, the author said that they’re working on a sequel!!!!

A/N: Ahhhh, it’s been so long since I posted a story and I’m sorry! I have been buys, but I’m doing by best to get more stories out for you. Anyway, this is inspired by the song “Congratulations” that was originally supposed to be in between Reynolds Pamphlet and Burn, but it was cut from the show. After finding it on YouTube, I am obsessed with it!! If you haven’t listened to it yet you definitely should. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!

At a young age you were introduced to Eliza Schuyler, and to the two of you become inseparable. Everything she did, you were right by her side and vice-versa. The two of you laughed together, cried together, and grew up into beautiful, kind, independent women.

During the winter of 1780, a ball was being held as an attempt to let people forget about the worries of war for one night. When the event was announced, you and Eliza rushed downtown as soon as possible and found new gowns.

The night of the ball, Eliza was standing behind you, making last minute fixes to your hair. While this wasn’t your first ball, you felt nervous. Maybe it was because you wanted to meet a solider that would sweep you off your feet.

“Eliza, you do realize that every man in the ballroom will be throwing themselves at your feet just to dance with you.” you told her, laughing at her reaction.

She threw you a serious look, but quickly replaced it with a smile. “That is not true, most men will be going after Angelica, and the ones who do not will be flocking to you.” she explained.

You both let the subject dropped and stood side by side, taking in your appearance. Eliza looked stunning in her blue gown, hair swept out of her face. You looked radiant in your (y/f/c) gown, hair swept into an elegant updo, with just a few pieces of hair framing your face.

After linking arms, you both headed to the carriage that would take you to the ball. Once you walked into the ballroom, you smiled at the atmosphere. People were laughing, dancing, and just enjoying themselves in general. It was a pleasant break from the harsh atmosphere of war.

Just like Eliza predicted, men flocked to Angelica, begging for just one dance with the eldest Schuyler Sister. Although you knew she meant nothing of it, she amused each man by dancing then night away, going from partner to partner. You enjoyed joking around with Eliza while the two of you marveled how graceful Angelica looked.

Many men had come up to you asking for a dance, but you had only accepted a handful. None of them were sparking interest in you.

At least, that was until a man with dark hair, pulled back into a ponytail entered the room. He was accompanied by three other men, and you could tell by their uniforms that they were soldiers. You were instantly drawn to the shorter man.

Quickly, you found Eliza on the side of the room. You were about to tell her about the man you saw until you saw her own expression. Finally noticing your presence, she grabbed you by the arm and took you to a secluded corner of the room.

“Do you see the handsome man with the ponytail, with the group of rowdy soldiers?” she asked you, subtly pointing them out.

You nodded slowly and felt the fear creeping up your throat. “This one’s mine.” she whispered to you.

Instantly, you feel the fear rising even farther up your throat; Eliza was attracted to the same man as you. Now you had two choices. One, you could tell her that you saw him as well and were taken with him. If you did, she would back away, but you knew she would forever be longing after him. The other option, was to let her have him and stand by while she was happy, even thought that meant possibly giving up the love of your life.

After seeing her gaze off at the man, a look of helplessness on her face, you made your decision. You squeezed her arm and gave her a reassuring smile, before you strode confidently towards the man.

Clearing your throat, the man turned around and took a sharp intake of breath. He was momentarily stunned by your beauty before he regained the ability to speak.

“Hello, Miss.” he spoke, reaching for you hand and brushing his lips against your knuckles.

You could feel the blush rising on your cheeks, but you ignored it and continued. “My name is (y/n) (y/l/n).” you introduced giving a small curtsied.

“Alexander Hamilton.” he told you, proudly.

It took a few moments for you to try and recognize the name, but when you couldn’t you brushed it off and grabbed his arm. “Follow me.” you commanded.

Before you could drag him away, he stood his ground and stared at you questioningly. “Where are you taking me?”

“Just trust me.” you instructed. “I’m about to change your life.”

At this comment, his feet started to move and you marched him across the room to where Eliza was standing. As you got closer, she tried to calm herself down right as you stopped in front of her. You let go of Alexander’s arm and stepped to the side.

“Eliza Schuyler. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” she introduced herself, curtsying.

“Schuyler?” he asked, looking back at you.

“Yes, she is the daughter of Philip Schuyler and my best friend.” you informed him, your smiling dropping ever so slightly.

“Thank you for all your service.” Eliza rushed, trying to think of something to say. You could see the connection growing.

“If it takes fighting a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it.” he smiled, brushing his lips over her knuckles just as he had done to yours, moments before.

A forced smile down present on your face, you glanced at the two and spoke. “I’ll leave you to it.”

Walking away, you could feel tears prick at your eyes. It was silly though; you were crying over a man who hadn’t been yours. But when you looked at how happy Eliza was, you knew you had made the right choice.

A week later, Alexander had already written Eliza at least ten letters. They were poetic, romantic, and swept her off her feet. After reading his first letter, you gently warned her that he would do anything to survive. She just waved you off, too busy writing her response. Even though you tried to keep it check, your jealousy would peek through every now and then. Luckily, Eliza was oblivious and took it for playful teasing.

Just two weeks after meeting at The Winter’s Ball, Alexander had come to Eliza’s house to ask her father for her hand in marriage. You waited anxiously with Eliza outside the dining room, holding her hand and trying to reassure her that everything would be alright.

Once Alexander came out of the room with the biggest grin you had seen, you knew you had officially lost him. Eliza ran to him and they spun around, giddy, and full of love.

The wedding came quickly and you were, of course, the maid of honor. During the entire ceremony, you watched at how Alexander stared at his bride and how she stared at him. You knew deep down that you would never feel like that with anybody besides the man marrying your best friend.

When the priest announced the two as husband and wife, you finally shed your pent-up tears. Everybody believed that you were crying out of happiness for the newlyweds, but you were crying for the happily ever after you would never get.

A few months later, your parents had arranged for you to marry a man from Pennsylvania. You didn’t argue because you knew it was the way life had to be; this man would take care of you for the rest of your life and your parents wouldn’t have to worry about you.

Around the same time, Eliza announced that she was pregnant with her and Alexander’s first child. Even though at times you couldn’t stand the thought, you stuck with Eliza through the ups and downs of her pregnancy, and you were with her when she gave birth to a beautiful, baby boy; Philip.

Eventually, the war had ended and America had won. The British left, Alexander came home, as did your husband. Once he arrived home, he explained to you about a job opportunity in London. Putting on a smile, you nodded and played to part of a loving, supporting wife. However, on the inside you were screaming for somebody to save you.

When the day of your departure arrived, you cried. You cried because it would be the first time in years that you and Eliza would be separated; she cried with you. You cried because you would be sailing across the ocean to live a life where you knew no one. Finally, you cried because you would now only be communicating to Alexander by letters. Before you left, you made him promise to write to you.

More years passed and you lived only to read Alexander’s and Eliza’s letters. They both described their growing family so vividly, it sounded wonderful. There came a time about nine years after you had left that Eliza invited you to come home and spend the summer with her and Alexander and their children upstate.

Without hesitation, you packed your bags, and sailed back to America. The moment you saw Eliza, the both of you screamed and hugged each other like you were each other’s lifeline. Hearing a clearing of the throat, you turned to look a face that had plagued your thoughts and dreams the last decade.

“Alexander...” you greeted, a genuine smile plastered on your face.

“(y/n).” he addressed, happily.

Before you could say another word, Eliza crossed her arms and stared down Alexander while addressing you. “(y/n), tell this man, John Adams spends the summer with his family.” she almost spat.

“(y/n), tell my wife John Adams doesn’t have a real job anyway.” he countered, standing his own ground.

“Wait, Alexander you’re not joining us?” you questioned, voice barely a whisper. He shook his head no and you began to convince him otherwise. “But I came all this way. Take a break!”

In the end, Alexander ended up staying home, while you, Eliza, and her children headed upstate. It was nice to be back in the United States, and you thoroughly enjoyed your summer. Unfortunately, all good things end, and so did your summer. It wasn’t long before you were back in London, back to longing for Alexander over his letters.

It seemed as if the letters began showing up less and less, until you only received a letter every month or two from Alexander. If you were lucky. There was no way you could have known what was going on.

You stepped onto the dock and took in the sounds and smells of New York. However, you ignored everything, and set your sight on finding the Hamilton’s residence. It took some asking around, but you were finally able to locate Eliza’s house.

Quickly running up the steps, you knocked loudly on the door and waited for a response. A man with curly hair and freckles dotted across his face opened the door and looked relieved at the sight of you.

“Aunt (y/n)!” Philip cried.

He threw himself into your arms and you engulfed him in a hug. As you walked inside, you lead him inside and sat him down on the couch. You rubbed a soothing hand up and down his back until his sobs quieted.

“How could he do this, Aunt (y/n)?” he asked, looking completely broken.

“I-I don’t know, Philip.” you confessed, upset you couldn’t provide him with a better answer. “But I do know that I’m going to do all in my power to make everything right again.” you promised, squeezing his hand.

“Now how is your mother taking all of this?” you inquired.

Philip gestured upstairs. “She claims she is okay, but I know otherwise. She locks herself up in her room so we don’t see her crying, and she makes him sleep in his office.” he muttered, sounding disgusted at the mention of his father.

You found your friend cocooned under a mountain of blankets. Similar to her son, her eyes were red and puffy, and you could see fresh tears travel down her cheeks. In an instant, you were at her side, hugging her. As you helped her to sit up, she didn’t question your appearance, only murmured a small, thank you before she collapsed into your chest. After a few minutes, you wiped away her tears and promised you would return with a mug of hot tea.

Making the journey back downstairs, you stopped dead in your tracks when you saw Alexander standing in his living. He looked at you, shocked. He hadn’t seen you in years, but you looked as beautiful as the night he first met you all those years ago, at the Winter’s Ball.

He stared at you confused at your sudden change of demeanor. Before he could question it, you spoke again. “You have invented a new kind of stupid! This damage you have created can never be undone! you screamed at him.

“You let a rumor that maybe two people knew about and refuted by sharing an affair when no one has accused you. I begged you to come with us and take break, but you refused!” you continued, screaming.

“You never think about the consequences, you only think about losing to your enemies. Well guess what? You’re the only enemy you ever seem to lose to. You want to know why Jefferson is ahead of you? He doesn't take immature taunts and throw back a response!”

“(y/n).” Alexander spoke again, sounding more desperate.

“Always obsessed with your legacy, you’ve redefined it now. Congratulations.” you snarled, so disgusted with him that you turned around so your back was facing Alexander.

In a last attempt to save his reputation in your mind, he finally had the courage to cut you off. “It was an act of political sacrifice!” he roared at you.

“Sacrifice?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper as you turned around the face Alexander. You had to fight the urge not to scoff at his response.

“You think that was sacrifice?” you inquired, accusingly. “I married a man I didn’t love because the man I fell for married by best friend. I stood by so the two of you could be happy and all because she told me ‘this one’s mine.’” you explained, feeling the tears coming to your eyes.

“The only true happiness I felt came from reading your letters. Seeing you now makes me think what have we done with our lives? Did it get us what we really wanted? That doesn’t change anything though; I’m back in the city and I'm here to stay.

“(y/n).” he said, trying to reason with you.

“I'm not here for you. I know Eliza like I know my mind, and I know you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind. I love her more than anything in this life and I will choose her happiness over mine, every time. Just like I did all those years ago.” you pointed out, punching Alex in the chest with each word.

“Eliza is the best thing in our lives, so you will not forget that you have blessed with the best wife! Congratulations, because every sacrifice you make from this point is for her.” you commanded, taking a few steps back.

“Congratulations, Alexander. I hope you are satisfied.” you spat one last time, glaring daggers at him before running back upstairs to Eliza.

I went down today and signed the paperwork and was given the temporary insurance card and they faxed paperwork to the dealership and the dealership to them and it is all worked out. However I got a call back a few hours later from another broker quoting me a lot less. I had her verify with the company and they said yes. But I have already signed the other stuff. The one I have now is going to be monthly and the first payment should not come out till about the 15th and be the first and last payment for the month. if I switch and they have already taken the payment do I get the last month back? Can I pretty much switch at any time? Anyone know how that works? I'm a newbie at buying a vehicle an thought I had done my homework but apparently not.

How soon after an insurance company cancels an auto policy for non-payment will they report that cancellation to the dmv? I understand the electronic notification, but how quickly will the insurance company actually notify the dmv that the party is no longer covered? Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident (my fault) and although I provided a copy of my policy info, I found out later that I was not covered at the time of the accident.
