update: im all done rigging her but honestly might redo the whole thing later. while i figured out how to make her tail less clippy i have a different vision for how ill make her limbs animatable. now i just need to learn shape keys for her face and then figure out how to import her into vr chat.

Someone in the house hates cats...
#i love mononoke so much but in a way that makes it really hard to draw for it without putting in a lot of thought#and as u can see the result isnt perfect. its just that i dont find thr medicine seller very interesting. hes just a vessel thru which to#watch interesting stories play out and i love mononoke especially bc it seems to be centered around the pain of women but not in a direct#way. in a way that outlines it and only makes it more painful. if u look at the 2007 series and the ayakashi samurai tales episodes. all the#stories are about horrible things happening to women and none of those women becomes mononoke except maybe the bakeneko redo#and in that story its a more modern day women who is very forward thinking and is probably more allowed to feel her pain. for the rest of#them the mononoke manifest from the environment where their pain existed. oh i forgot the other women that became a mononoke in the 2007#movies doesnt become a vengeful spirit to harm other people. her pain is turned inward and she imprisons herself. but anyway. that's just#how i see it. i dont kno how much the 2024 movie fits this idea but i mean it was made almost 20yrs later and we only have half the story rn#so well see. #my art#pokemon#braixen#pkmn#starter pokemon#YAAAAY only took like 8 days working on off and on WHBDFJKHGB i reworked the pose a bunch#and im really happy with how it came out!!! i may have gone overboard with the shading but thats ok bc i had fun#when i was trying to figure out the fire i accidentally deleted the lining and i did not notice that i did that. so when i went to see if i#could get it back. i could not. so i had to redo the lining HAHA really annoying but its ok bc i still had the sketch and the coloring#using this as a segue to talk about my delphox lucky. my first non handmedown pokemon game was x#so it was a really big deal for me right. i was ten. i picked fennekin [i usually go for the grass starters but fennekin is one of the#exceptions to this] and to my delight my fennekin was a female. and to me that was the luckiest thing ever so i obviously named her lucky#i got her to max happiness and she was the first pokemon i leveled up to lvl 100 without cheating#the fennekin line will always have a soft spot in my heart and i will always include a female delphox named lucky in my dream team lineup
