Well, now I can say I have dreamt about the gay Cstholic dogs as well!
I was writing a story, but the dream’s perspective switched to me watching the story like a movie at some point. It was the modern AU, and Vasco and Machete were travelling to what I think was supposed to be some important landmark in Italy, most likely the Vatican. What was going to happen was that there was going to be a portrait of Vasco and Machete from their canon time period (even though I know this wouldn’t happen at the Vatican), and their friend would point out that it looked an awful lot like them and how strange that was and have the boys react to that, but I woke up before that could happen.
This is the first time I’ve dreamt about them, so I felt compelled to let you know!

working in an art gallery and talking to a lot of full time artists has given me CRAZY imposter syndrome btw lmao
#i went to a local gallery today (not the one i work in)#and i was looking at this one artists work#and she used a lot of patterns but didnt go up to her#she came up to me as i was looking at her work like ' hi i see youre looking at my work which one do u like most' like okay#i had my headphones on at the time so it did scare me#anyway im really stuck thinking about her work#like shes got this lovely cluttered and messy and chaotic style with still life in one dimension#and she uses pattern and quilt-like grids and so much colour#and the chaos of her work is by far the best part#how nothing stays in their boxes andeverythings falling#its homely and DRAMATIC. which is a mix that doesnt always go together but is held together by the chaos of her work#AND THEN SHE PUTS COLLAGE QUOTES ON IT 'fly high in the sky like a butterfly'#AUUUGGGHHH it pisses me off so much. REALLY? THATS THE BEST QUOTE? no song lyrics no deepp meaning nothing to express the narrative? bitch#love her style but its KITCH shes KITCH her quotes are KITCH her subjects are KITCH <- lives in kitch central of the uk but WHATEVER#by the way im not exagerrating with fly high like a butterfly she really thought that was the quote to describe this chaotic scene like she#eight years old like what the hell. there ere others too the pissed me off#and then i talked to her and she was like. trisha's speech in interlude party is the best scene in any piece of media. period. i will not take criticisms i am right that scene literally saved my life the first time i saw it, and it STILL saves my life every time i see it. which is honestly quite often. i go back just to rewatch that scene when i need it. i love it so fucking much. it's so perfect and beautiful and just. the perfect epitome of what makes fmab such a beautiful show. i adore it.

in awe of your printing and wood working
Thanks so much 🥺 I'm really glad, because I love doing it (despite not doing it as often as I like.) The carving is my favourite part - it's like 2D sculpting, and I love sculpting too <3
My wish for 2025 is that I have enough energy for more woodblock printing (and sculpting too)
#my colleague at the studio has mentioned that she wants me to exhibit my graphic work in our gallery#but there's just not enough to exhibit - let alone recent stuff#I do have a series in mind and the dahlia one is actually the second in that series#once I give it some colour some day#I like night scenes with artificial light - it's the deep blue with warm yellow/orange yknow#and I want to make some more of those#anyway#thanks again anon <3#replies#anon#ask meme#sortof
