#Fourfold Soul #Thing #QUIT #Ruth #Jolis #Finally I can offer some character names!#digital art #I have been hard at work in the character design mines for nearly two months.#I feel like a parent watching my child waddle off to kindergarten....ah...only yesterday you were a wee little mspaint sketch.#The title of 'Fourfold Soul' comes from the 'party' for this RPG being comprised of parts of yourself!#They all have a delightful array of personalities; and by delightful I do mean 'They are personal demons for a reason'.#It's a story about fighting alongside (and against) 'difficult' aspects of yourself.#This is also a story about redemption and reflection. Many other things too - but that is for another time.#(The clown pictured here is indeed the ignored clown from the last comic. Say hello to Jolis!)#If I had more time I would have added more animation and frames...next time...#I'm slowly getting back into my animation practice and experimentation. I will get more powerful! Danny falls through a portal to the DC world from a natural portal that opened up while he was in mid fight with Skulker a fight that began at Vlads where the creep put a collar on Danny that kept him in ghost form, Vlad thought he’d force Danny to reveal his secret to his parents by taking away his human form. Looking around he’s in a dark city with dark smog colored skies. Unfortunately he’s stuck here as the portal closed leaving him trapped. He tried to find help but no one can see him in his ghost form. He starts tailing the vigilantes of this world and eventually follows one onto this space station through this tube (possessing inanimate objects sure comes in handy). He wasn’t expecting for the random British guy in a trench coat to see him.

They showed up the same night...it's no coincidence #Ada is known for having reliable info she shares and doing things behind the scenes uncredited IJS #RE4make made it even clearer for those who didn't have a clue ADA was against Wesker and had no bad intentions #Claire witnessing her brother's reactions to Jill and even him telling her to leave and he'd stay despite low ammo and no comms..#Sheva telling his personal business he was keeping private and his reaction which... he made no excuses for what he was doing.#And yeah I threw in some Ada/Leon stuff because Chris and Leon clearly were aware the girls were special to them plus MANY parallels exist #threw in an old ref I made about MVC3 in another post. One of the probable reasons as to why Kaeya didn't arrive on time for Crepus and Diluc when they were attacked was because he, and the knights with him, had no vision, and thus, cannot use a teleport waypoint.

Him receiving his cryo vision when he was supposed to get scorched by Diluc was genuinely the biggest slap to the face given to him by Celestia. It arrived just in time to save HIM.

Even now, the vision only heals and shields him alone as a manifestation of his desire to keep living from that fight... but he can't use it to help others.

Dipper's got a little more... bite in some of the early drafts of the AU, I've been seriously tempted to lean that way again as I've grown to better understand what kind of story I want to tell with him.

Thoughts bellow the cut...

He skipped a grade, he's got the best grades in his class, he's "the gifted kid who's going places". Finding out that magic is real is the ultimate wish fulfillment of this nerdy little kid and the proof for that little inside voice of his that he's not just smart, he's special.

He's a good kid, but one who's been told how smart and mature he is one too many times. Unlike Norman, he hasn't spent his entire life being told that he's wrong for being different; Dipper's got the confidence to demand answers when with faced with something he doesn't understand.

There's probably not a world where Dipper starts bullying Norman, Norman's too good at keeping his head down and would never confront Dipper. But Norman has something Dipper needs and there are the ingredients for a very unhealthy friendship, if Dipper doesn't lean to see Norman as an equal and Norman doesn't learn to stand up for himself.

Of course, that's what the rest of the story is for.
