Chapter 110 is 13 pages long welcome to hell!!! so in a lot of ways this is just more fuel for a theory that I've had for a few weeks now, that's only gotten stronger with each recent season 5 episode, which is that the last episode of the season is gonna end on 110, and that Asagiri/Harukawa and Bones have been collaborating to make this happen, specifically because it's a major turning point that would be the only good place to end the season on.

When we started getting especially long chapters again (like from 25-35ish pages, with the exception of 107.5, the last two being some of the longest we've ever had), at first I just assumed that Asagiri/Harukawa got freed up from some other obligations they'd been having to cause the extremely short/half chapters, like promotional stuff for the anime/Beast movie, or working on light novels. But then 109 happened, with the "supposed" death of Dazai, and heavy emphasis at the end on how literally everyone is at their lowest point right now, and I got to thinking. 11 episodes is a strangely specific number for an anime season -- why not 12, or 13, or even 10, like you'd usually see? Why have we gotten suddenly gotten two 35 page chapters out of nowhere, that's almost unheard of at this point? They're both beautiful chapters, don't get me wrong (as always), and maybe A/H simply just didn't want to cut them in halves because they felt like the full emotional impact wouldn't hit/that there were no good cutoff points in them, but you can't deny that it's surprising, after all the shorter chapters we've been getting. Why has the anime been going at such insanely breakneck pacing for the most part ever since around the Sunday Tragedy chapters, even more so than it has in the past? So much so that it feels dangerously close to overtaking the manga?

Well, maybe, just maybe, it's because..... Asagiri decided a long time ago that whatever happens in 110 is the only point that feels "season finale"-worthy enough, in an arc that still isn't anywhere close to being completely wrapped up, and so both the manga and the anime have been specifically coordinated to reach that part within 2 and a half weeks of each other?

I've seen a lot of people now think season 5 will end with 109, and as much as my sadistic side would find that hilarious, I honestly don't think they'd do that and realistically don't want it to happen; it'd be so cruel to cliffhanger the anime for years like that, and just doesn't feel like a season cliffhanger BSD would do, a series that is ultimately hopeful and uplifting. Seasons 2 and 3 had a positive, conclusive ending; the only reasons seasons 1 and 4 didn't was because they're technically not really full seasons of their own, and are more like the first cour of another "season" that also came out that same year (seasons 1 and 2 both aired in 2016, so they're more like one big season, and seasons 4 and 5 have both aired this year, so they're also more like one big season, again taking into account how episodes 12 and 50 are not satisfying finales like episodes 24, 37, and hypothetically, 61, are). I really can't see season 5 ending with Dazai and Fukuzawa's supposed deaths, Sigma being unconscious and maybe close to death, Atsushi being vulnerable and limbless again, everyone we love still vampires, and the entire world being basically doomed; that's just too depressing and not like BSD at all. However, having said that, if it doesn't end there, there really isn't any good place to end the season before that, either, that feels in any way satisfying or like a finale at all. And so, to me, that only leaves after 109: chapter 110.

I think things are really gonna turn around next chapter. Like I said, everyone is at their lowest point right now, it cannot possibly get any worse, the framing of Dazai, Fukuzawa, and sskk at the end of 109 is telling us that; this is the time for the heroes to finally start winning again, with Aya being so close to pulling out the sword, and for all the thematic reasons other people have talked about to death that I don't need to go into here again. This upcoming chapter being so short again makes a part of me wary of 110 being "the one", so to speak, I won't lie, but at the same time, it's very possible that it needs to be that short because that's all the final episode of the season will be able to reasonably fit in, since it's already gonna be VERY close if they do make it all the way to 109. And at the end of the day, I don't doubt at all that Asagiri and Harukawa can make these the most monumental and game-changing mere 13 pages ever if they wanted to; a chapter does not at all need to be extremely long in order to be an important and impactful one, even if short ones we've gotten in the past haven't felt the most important.

An additional thought I've had, though this is much more crack territory than all this already is, is that since we know from Anime Expo that a Stormbringer movie at some point is highly likely (judging from Asagiri's reaction when someone brought it up), it's possible that chapter 110 and thus the final episode will involve the long-anticipated return of Verlaine and/or Adam, or at least some other major reference to Stormbringer, that would naturally and smoothly lead into a Stormbringer movie to explain things to people who haven't read the novel. It would make a lot of sense, especially since the s4 OP has the Old World sign behind Chuuya, which might be a hint that this has been in the works ever since seasons 4/5 were first in planning with Asagiri. We also know that Dazai and Chuuya's voice actors apparently struggled to record their lines together this season, which probably relates to 101 and possibly 109, but it could be 110 too.... I could be very wrong, as I'm no expert on this kind of thing, but I kinda doubt they would bring Chuuya's actor in for just the vampire growls, and Asagiri placing heavy emphasis on Chuuya's importance this season in that one interview gives me the impression that he's talking about much more than just 101/109. But that's the least solid evidence I have, that's just mostly based on vibes I get.

So basically, I think a lot of factors -- the unusual episode count, how close the anime is to catching up to the manga with three whole episodes left, the seemingly arbitrary recent chapter lengths, and the climactic events of 109 -- can tell us that 110 might be a very, VERY big deal. Again, there's of course no way this arc is anywhere near close to being finished, with so much left to address and resolve, but since it is currently incomplete in the manga, unlike the previously adapted arcs, if the anime was going to adapt it at all, they'd have to find a place that feels satisfying enough to end this season, knowing there won't be more anime for a long time after this, and so I think they specifically planned for that, from both Bones' and A/H's sides. 10 episodes might not have been enough to reach that point, but 12 or 13 might have been too many it wouldn't have been if Bones actually decided to slow down and let the story breathe the way it needs to, but this post isn't meant to criticize the anime, so maybe 11 was just right. And maybe Asagiri and Harukawa specifically pushed to make recent chapters longer than usual, in order to make sure that the manga reached the story content in 110 the monthly release right before season 5 was to end.

Is this just copium? Absolutely. Am I going to look like an absolute clown in two days when this post ages like milk? Probably. But the evidence is There, so let me just enjoy my delusions until Sunday, okay 🥂��

Okay so I love Gwen , I do. And truth be told I don't find her half as annoying as most people make her out to be in the original series. Or maybe its because its been a while since I've seen the original and hence haven't noticed it.

Anyway.

You know I agree with her and Max about Ben using the watch to sneak into places and stuff. Yes he's 10 and having fun which is understandable, but I also get the rationale of wanting him to be more responsible too.

But Gwen you were wrong here.

Like Ben was completely in the right to save Kevin from those thugs. Girl I'm sorry but were you just going to let Kevin get beat up?!

Kevin 11 is the 7th epsiode of season 1 so Ben having the omnitrix is probably still a fairly new concept in the Ben 10 universe. I get the need to hide his identity or whatever but did Gwen expect Ben or literally anyone else to simply walk away from a group of teens(?) Getting ready to beat up a 11 year old kid?

Disventure Camp All Stars Power Rankings (Round 11)

Heading into the latter half of the season, things are sure to get interesting! Let's hope we can reach a finale everyone can be happy with, hm?

In case you haven't seen my previous power rankings ( 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 ), the Power Ranking Format is essentially a way of ranking how well each player is doing in the game. So, in essence, this is a long form way of predicting who I think will be eliminated from the competition in the next episode. There will be spoilers for last week's episode (obviously) and its power ranking, so make sure to read that first if you don't want to be spoiled on how I ranked our last boot. If you want more clarification on the rules, that first post will help you out as well. Furthermore, I'm going to be spoiling the preview for next episode, so if you want to go in TOTALLY blind, save this for later. Let's go!

Recap - Connor's Return!

Mannnn, how come the one time I'm finally right, I don't get to score any points for it?! I should get to add a bonus +63, just for kicks. That wouldn't mess up my math at all.

Anyways, even though he's not a personal favorite of mine, I already detailed why I thought Connor would be the best character for the writers to bring back in the last power ranking. Plus, we get to hear Michael Kim's voice acting again. He's quite talented, in my opinion, and I felt bad that he was voicing two characters this season only for one of them to be eliminated really early (Connor) and the other to largely disappear for some reason (Oliver).

My current guess for Connor's character is that he'll be a finalist, but that he'll lose. I hope he doesn't win, just because, in-universe, his character needs the money probably the least. Still, after he managed to come back, I feel like it would make sense for him to be in the finale, and he's had a lot of talk about making it to the end now. He'd probably pair with Alec, and not Riya? But, that's assuming both that Alec isn't also in the final 3, and that the two of them proceed from this point to a conclusion of friendship as opposed to rivalry/detestation. Dubious.

Trailer Analysis

The trailer shows a lot of scenes advertising some sort of seemingly important conversation between Gabby and Grett on this beach. I don't know why Gabby is in her swimsuit and Grett isn't, but I doubt it's too important. If the scenes are shown in order, it seems like the pair are hanging out, Grett explains something, and Gabby grows fed up and leaves. Although, crack theory: that last image could be of or to the alternate version of Gabby.

Always nice to see some new relationships forming! Connor seemed to enjoy Advising The Youths in S2, and, boy, do Tom and Jake need some advising. And if he gets to solidify the bonds within the heroes' alliance along the way, all the better. Also, it looks like Jake is on the same beach that Grett and Gabby visit? Angsty beach, I guess.

It seems like this challenge may be some sort of capture the flag at night kind of thing? From what I've surmised, it might be that there's only one flag, and whoever manages to be holding on to it at the challenge's end point will gain immunity.

Yul and Grett are fighting again. Notably, 1) based on the light in the sky, this is probably at the beginning of the challenge, and 2) Grett appears to be sticking up for herself a bit more.

Yeah, here people are, fighting over that individual flag. It seems like Riya and Connor will be allowed to participate in this challenge, despite already having immunity locked in. If one of them wins, would they simply steal that potential immunity from someone else (AKA, only Riya and Connor are immune), or could they choose to give immunity to someone else (AKA, Riya, Connor, and Player C are immune)?

Perhaps Aiden is giving Jake a chance, as per Lake's advice. I just now realized that Jake and Lake are only one letter apart. Maybe it's Aiden's destiny to ultimately befriend people named -ake after the game initially pits them against each other.

Derek is sad about... something.

Ally will wind up with the flag at some point, but Gabby will steal it from her.

Also, there are wolves??? Wait a minute... are Jake and Aiden K-I-S-S-I-N-G?!?!?!? (/j)

Grett will trip Tom when he has the flag. Based on the lighting, this may be very close to the end of the challenge.

This scene might be pretty close to the end of the challenge too, though. Grett and Yul fight off Jake, with seemingly no flag in sight.

"That idiot does realize he's screwed the moment his immunity wears off, right?" "I can't wait."

Although this conversation likely takes place after the challenge is over, I really expect this dialogue to be about Connor (I doubt that ONC would want to spoil that the person who wins the challenge uses he/him in the trailer.) This doesn't really tell us much, other than that Connor doesn't do anything in this episode to rekindle any goodwill with the villains. Shocking. Also, I can't help but feel like this line is steeped in dramatic irony.

Power Ranking

#1: Connor

and

#2: Riya

Not much point in distinguishing between the two because we know for a fact that both of them will have immunity heading into this episode. I don't even know if they can give it up, and, besides, Riya is too selfish and Connor is too in danger for either of them to likely consider doing so. Barring a medical evacuation, there should be no chance that either of these two will be eliminated in the upcoming episode.

#3: Gabby

Why Gabby? Like, seriously, why Gabby? I suppose she could be considered too much of a loose cannon for the villains, but we've now reverted to a 5-5 split. If the villains somehow don't want to work with her, I'm sure the heroes would snatch her up as a free vote. Or, even if she voted completely according to her own whims, it would still be a 5-4-1 in which the heroes probably would not target Gabby.

I really just can't think of anything. It's weird. Like, vibes-wise, I'm not narratively opposed to Gabby going home, I just see no reason why it would happen. Even if she and Grett get into a fight, or if she starts talking to herself more again, is anybody really going to vote her off? Is she that annoying? Is she that threatening? I don't think so.

Gabby also still has some narrative threads that need payoff. First, the reappearance of her alternate self, which the end of last episode put forth as some big revelation. There's also the advice she received from Ellie, which was to backstab the villains before they could get her first. Either or both of things could probably be resolved within one episode, although, the latter would be weird if it ended in her elimination. If she didn't listen to Ellie, I guess? That's counter to, like, Gabby's entire character. She'll be fine for now.

#4: Jake

Speaking of narrative threads, if the writers decided to axe Jake here, it would be so bad. Or at least, it probably would be. You can't just have Ashley tell him to look forward to the future and then have his future be immediate elimination...!!!

But, seriously, it would be a weird turn of events. I guess maybe the plotline could be that Aiden listens to Lake's advice and decides to give Jake a chance, which Jake takes, because character arc. That decision to be selfless and care about others could lead to his elimination... somehow? And also we wrap up whatever the TomJake conclusion is meant to be during this episode? Yeah, seems unlikely.

That's also factoring in that I still see no reason why the villains would want Jake in particular out this time. In the last actual vote we had, the villains were able to seize power because of Jake and Aiden's quarreling. Until the two of them can provenly work together, they're an asset to the villains team. Jake has also competed in five individual elimination challenges without winning a single one. (The closest he got was the underground cave one where Ellie kicked his ass in the end, lmao.) He's truly not much of a threat.

Until he wins the season, that is. I'm sure that part of my want to rank Jake so highly is that I'm currently predicting that he'll be the winner of this season. We've just spent so much time on his various plotlines; it feels like this has to be the season of Jake. But, what do I know? I thought Fiore could win this season, and that was super wrong. We're a long ways out from the finale, but, still, I don't think Jake will go down here.

#5: Grett

As has been Grett's M.O. for a while now, I just don't understand why she would be the target of anyone's fire. Sure, Riya has immunity, which limits one of your villainous options. But, if you're looking for the most threatening villain, it would be Alec, and if you're looking for the villain you want to hang out with the least, it's Yul. Even Gabby is probably more prominent as the most likely double-crosser when it would come to a hit from within the villains alliance itself. It's possible that, if another villain (such as Alec) gains additional immunity, then Grett could become the most strategic or whatever by default. However, at that point, the level of coincidence would be so high that it would feel like the writers were trying to get rid of her, which I don't think they are.

It does seem like Grett is going to get a lot of focus this episode, though, which is theoretically cause for concern. I'd say that the most likely situation in which she goes home this episode is that she gets into a big fight with Gabby, resulting in Gabby agreeing to become a 6th for the heroes on the condition that they vote for Grett. However, this would require Gabby to side with Aiden and Tom, who she has personal beef with, over Grett, who she has a long history of forgiving. I also think that the scene of Grett tripping Tom could indicate that Grett will be the one to wind up with immunity (although the scene where she and Yul fight Jake might argue the opposite), so there's a chance people straight up won't be able to vote out Grett anyway.

While not impossible, I think it would be quite difficult to cut Grett off here while satisfyingly concluding her arc of standing up to Yul. Therefore, immunity or not, I don't think the writers will. And I don't think the players have much of a reason to can her, either.

#6: Ally

I guess it's fitting that Ally winds up in "technically the bad half" because, while I can't think of many particularly good reasons for her elimination, I wouldn't be super surprised if it was her time to go this episode, either. Mostly because of the whole love triangle drama stuff. You hate to see it.

I think it's really the current lack of character dynamics for Ally that makes me worry for her. Like, sure, she's got her rivalry with Jake going on, but... what else? I guess she kind of has an extant relationship with Connor from S2, but... only kind of. She was also in an alliance with Yul in S2, but fat chance that's going anywhere. She voted with Aiden and Tom last vote, and she's shown talking to Tom in the preview! That's... something? Ally isn't even Jake's #1 hater. Girl is suffering.

Furthermore, Ally could theoretically be voted out along the same lines as Ashley for being the least problematic hero left (other than arguably Connor, who has immunity). None of the villains seem to have a particular vendetta against Ally, but that doesn't make her immune.

The main thing is really just that none of those reasons are particularly compelling. Ally could be eliminated, I guess. I don't know. Nothing feels very right about it, though, which makes me think it isn't her time. We'll see. I'm sure Ally knows what a meat shield is, even if she never wanted or expected to be considered as one. Such is the narrative.

#7: Aiden

Aiden does have Riya, Yul, and theoretically Gabby gunning for him, which certainly puts him in danger for elimination. He clearly could be the villains' target... unless?

Hear me out. I think Aiden could be the one to win immunity this episode. What do we see in the trailer? Well, once the sun has fully set, we see Tom holding the flag, until Grett trips him and (presumably) steals it. However, possibly after that, we see Grett and Yul on the ground, Jake having tackled them, with no flag in sight. Where did the flag go? Well, earlier(?) in the episode, we saw Jake and Aiden hiding together in that tree, as well as generally strategizing together. I think it's possible that Aiden will decide to give Jake a chance, at which point Jake will offer himself up as a distraction/sacrifice so that Aiden can steal the flag and win immunity. That kind of plot would work well for where both Jake and Aiden's character arcs are right now, in my opinion.

Of course, it could also be Tom who wins the immunity. If the tackling scene happens fairly immediately after Tom falls, I don't know where the hell he went, and Jake definitely could have offered himself up to help Tom, too. You know what? Let's just...

#8: Tom

I really struggled with whether to put Aiden or Tom first. Even now, I feel like I put them in the wrong order. Hopefully my indecision foreshadows that it won't matter, because neither will happen. Do I finally have my finger on the pulse...?

Personally, I feel like there's been way too much setup for the heroes finally reuniting this episode for anyone other than a villain to go home. We've got Connor vowing to eliminate a villain. We've got Ellie urging Gabby to turn on the villains. We've got Lake advising Aiden and Miriam advising Tom to give Jake a second shot. We've got Tess giving Ally her full support to crush it in the future. We have Ashley's entire elimination motivating Jake! It's possible that the writers could try to make hero drama stretch out a little longer, but I think it'd be better for the show if they didn't. Everything is pointing towards a shakeup to the status quo, and (not that I think the writers should abruptly change their plans for the season to account for what fans want, but) I think that's what the fans desperately crave.

Along those lines, though, if we're going to punt for one more week and allow a hero to go home, I don't think Tom is a terrible choice. His elimination would shake up the very TomJake + Aiden status quo, as opposed to Ally, whose elimination would truly feel like killing time. Tom has erred enough this season with the whole "lying about having a boyfriend" thing that I think his elimination as a casualty of the "twink wars," as Kristal put it, wouldn't feel too unfair. If the writers want to focus on Aiden and Jake building a friendship in the future, I could see them wanting to get rid of Tom to give those two space to breathe. The TomJake angst likely wouldn't be resolved in this episode, but if, say, Jake is in the finale, I could see their plotline being resolved by Tom being Jake's assistant in the end.

The villains do also have reason to target Tom. Although he's engaged in his fair share of catty behavior, he was the one alongside Ashley to propose that Aiden and Jake put aside their differences to work together. More importantly, Tom is almost certainly the physically strongest hero left, so if the villains want to keep the immunities to themselves, it could be good strategy to eliminate Tom before he can go on a challenge run.

Then again, Tom has actually also won 0/4 of the individual challenges he's participated in so far, so. Maybe not as threatening as he seems on paper.

#9: Alec

If it ain't broke, don't fix it: Ashley was the most heroic hero, so if the villains had the choice of who to eliminate, they should take her out. Alec is the most villainous villain (or at least, the ringleader of the crew), so if the heroes had the choice of who to eliminate, they should take him out. Such simple logic turned out to be viable last time!

Yeah, Alec is mostly down here because I think a villain will go home, and I think he's the most sensible villain for the heroes to eliminate if they can. We've also gotten some closure for him and Fiore, now, so to the extent that was keeping him in the game, it won't any longer.

However (unlike Ally), Alec still has other relationships that I think it would be a loss if we didn't see play out more. For instance, what will it be like now that Connor is back in the game? Alec reacted with a lot more hostility to Connor during the last challenge than I had initially expected. But, I'm willing to believe that he was suffering evil brain rot from hanging out with Riya for the last few days and Fiore for the last few minutes. Whether there's a friendship to be salvaged or not, I'd prefer more than one episode to explore what's going on there.

There's also Alec's relationship with Riya, although, honestly, I could see that one turning out interestingly if Alec did go home this week. Thus far, I don't think their friendship has really been set up in a way that foreshadows either of them turning on each other. If I'm right, that would mean that, at some point, one of them will have to go home with the other not involved and still in the game. If Alec goes home as a result of Riya having immunity, I could see it further increasing the animosity between Riya and Connor, which could be cool.

I've made it pretty apparent... everywhere that Alec is one of my favorites, so obviously I'm rooting for him to survive this episode and make it even farther into the game. But, I totally understand if now is his time, and think his elimination could be used to set up cool things for the future. That being said, I do think there's one person who might be a little more likely than Alec to get booted in the upcoming elimination.

#10: Yul

I might have the exact timing slightly off, but personally, I've started to notice that big events in DCAS start being set up about three episodes before they actually happen. Ellie had about three episodes of behaving poorly with Gabby disapproving before it finally resulted in her going home. If Jake finally starts turning things around this episode, I think he vowed to do so about three episodes prior. Hunter was the fourth boot (Episode 5) after him being a subpar boyfriend was set up in Episode 1 and him being mean to Fiore was established in Episode 2. I think Tom coming clean over lying about having a boyfriend was about three episodes after he originally said it. You see what I mean?

Along those lines, although Yul has been a jerk throughout the entire season, I think that Grett started voicing serious concerns about Yul about three episodes ago. And thus, the clock started ticking. It's been long enough now that I think that timer is finally about to ding.

As I mentioned in both Grett and Gabby's sections, it seems like their chat will be important to what goes down in the episode. Personally, I think that either Grett and Gabby will both vote with the heroes to take down specifically Yul, or that Gabby will work with the heroes on her own to eliminate Yul for Grett, if Grett is too hesitant about it. That would be one explanation for Gabby walking out on Grett in the end-- Grett expresses her concerns with Yul, but still can't manage to turn against him, so Gabby angrily leaves, determined to do what's best for Grett even if Grett can't twist the knife herself.

As for Yul's relationships, well... he has Grett and Riya, but obviously neither of those are going to end happily in the long run. His role with Emily seems to have already elapsed. He doesn't have any really sincere or deep connections with anyone, which makes him a lot more expendable when it comes to ongoing plotlines. The most sincere connection he has is probably with James, who he got to talk to last episode. I honestly wonder if that conversation might have been the wrap up to Yul. We learned a lot about him in it: no jokes, no tricks, he really is just a bad guy who hates other people. The fact that he has no depth is his depth. With that answer given, I don't know if we need Yul around anymore.

Also, the fandom is getting sick of him, and for understandable reasons. It's still way better here than it was in S2, in my opinion, because Yul is not in a position of power like he was in S2, but it's true that Yul does bring a sort of foul, negative energy to any scene that he's in. I, at least, usually find it funny, don't get me wrong, but it still sucks to see your other faves get verbally abused, especially in the scenes that aren't played for laughs.

(Also, the Spanish voice actor choosing to improvise a slur is obviously not okay. Naturally, that wasn't accounted for when initially planning the season, so it shouldn't factor into the elimination order, but it's still true. I think we should allow everyone involved some lenience, because they're really young to have so much pressure, responsibility, and hostility thrown in their faces. However, it's also not like being a young indie artist on the internet gives you a full pardon to act cruelly towards minorities. In my opinion, either side stoking the flames with hotheaded and/or rash behavior right now seems like it will go down poorly for everyone involved. We should be aiming for a sincere apology and a tentative, yet calm reception for now.)

Well, those are my thoughts this week! After perfectly predicting Connor, I'm hoping this post-merge, post-return time period will be the beginning of a hot streak. magnussen. what a absolutely disgusting human being... and me calling him a disgusting human is actually me being nice.

hmm i guess i'll have to go with either s01e03 or s01e08... but i will settle on e3 for now. i love it! the magic of falling in love is just so UGH! omg! YES! cannot WAIT for s2 to come out!!!

definitely the second!!! it is SO GOOD! finally the crows are (almost) united YASSS. also: all the shippings!!! ugh dead for them!

hmmm i think i started *actively* watching sherlock in 2016?! have watched a few episodes before when they were on tv... but yeah. yearly rewatches are a must! (can't do it more often tho... but trust me it's enough...)

i hopped on the train kinda late-ish?! i saw lots of it on social media mostly instagram and was soon pretty intrigued but hesitated because i wasn't sure if you could watch it without knowing anything about the addams family (you can btw in case someone is wondering)

9. Who is your favourite actor in 4? (heartstopper)

hmm gotta be kit connor portraying nick nelson. he just fits so well for this role and he's adorable.

they are all amazing shows! but i'll have to go with sherlock... kinda obviously if you know my blog... followed by shadow and bone and then stranger things.

sherlock got 13 episodes (including the special: the abdominal bride) plus one mini episode. wednesday got "only" 8 so far and obviously i have watched all of both shows. so it's sherlock for now but not for too long... (wednesday season twooooo 🥳) (i'll never give up on sherlock s5 but... i can admit that it's unli- NO IT WILL HAPPEN!)

if i were the watcher: NOT. simply not.

if i were the screenwriter: probably some horribly angsty death, (maybe caused by jesper, because he is a dumbass) and then he'll die in jesper's arms. wylan all big- and teary-eyed and so so scared but smiley because it's wyaln and jesper the biggest wreck you can imagine because he killed the love of his life. hmmm while i absolutely adore wednesday's cast it is such an incredibly hard thing to find a cast that fits the characters from a book. so there really isn't a question here: it has to be the shadow and bone cast. they are perfect! and i love them!!! aaaahhhh

Oh no not this😅 Don't wanna start off totally indecisive but In all honesty Aziraphale and Crowley are such a package deal I've never been able to decide who I liked more so both it is!

2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?

Probably Frank Morgan since he's meant to give everyone the creeps and totally untrustworthy but if we're talking main cast then Ray because everyone else is just too good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3. What's your favourite episode of 4?

Episode two THE beloved my one and only 🥺💖 12/10 would gladly watch Owen and Tom sit around chatting and mirroring the cafeteria vibes either as Lokius or themselves for the rest of my days

Gotta be S2!! All the earlier seasons are gold so was very tempted by the latter half of S3 but S2's like a tour de force

Baxter and Quinn would an obvious one since John and Phil are married in every role and this is no exception but the dynamic between Baxter and Rick is so weirdly fascinating?? They just clash so instantly, usually to great disaster but will never stop themselves or learn from their mistakes, absolutely obsessed tbh

6. Who is your anti relationship in 2?

I don't really have one?? If pressed I wasn't interested in Anathema and Newt being shoved together for no real reason or the implication of ending up with someone because you're told but I don't have any active dislike for them or their pairing

7. How long have you watched 1?

Well I was pretty late to pick the show up and watched for the first time around three years ago, have since rewatched the entire series at least 5 times in full, and various clips more times than I could ever count lol

8. How did you become interested in 3?

Thank my url namesake, lol. Truly the most stunning TV experience start to finish I've had with a flawless all star cast and just criminally underrated show in general!!

9. Who is your favourite actor in 4?

🤣🤣 Feel as if I've walked right into this one and y'all don't even need to hear the answer but that would be Owen Wilson, whose take on Mobius has honestly been life changing for me 💖

Oh man as much as I adore Psych I'm stuck between Life on Mars and Good Omens on this one... Oh this is the worst, okay, I'm going... Life on Mars! When taking the point of how much I love both main pairs out of the picture there are more elements of and characters in LoM I think I enjoy more

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?

I've watched both fully through multiple times but Life on Mars just edges by with having more episodes so that'll be the one!

Loki or Ravonna just for sheer proximity of how much time would be spent around Mobius lmao, literally my only primary consideration

Laughing so hard at this because ironically my favorite character in Psych has pondered many scenarios potentially resulting in his own death lmao. If necessary he'd probably prefer a blaze of glory gunfight but I don't think he'd mind being taken out by his favorite land mine going off?? "Sweet music. And then…nothin' but red mist." 😂

14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?

Not necessarily unless you mean would it work in terms of turning me on in ways I've yet to experience in this life because yes, yes, and YES 😳😳

Idk if it would be the most unlikely but Sam and Chris would've been cute and I always enjoyed how earnestly Chris ended up admiring Sam's approach to the work and who he is as a person

*pokes you* not to distract you but… thoughts on pjo/stranger things CROSSOVER instead of fusion??? ie exploring dimensional travel between pjo-verse & stranger things-verse? Or we could do magnus chase hut im more attached to pjo so like… right now i feel like the labyrinth and/or tartarus would probably make the most sense in terms of liminal spaces where upsidedown portals would appear… so, basically, nico could go missing between books 3 & 4 when he’s like,,, 10-11 & roaming inside the labyrinth. Or percy & annabeth could go missing during the labyrinth quest—or percy & annabeth & nico, or percy & annabeth & nico & rachel, etc (i have this thought in my head that creatures like grover and tyson depend on western civilization magic to survive, so traveling to a dimension without access to that like the stranger things verse would automatically cause them to turn to gold dust as the enter the portal, and the dust would float back through the gate towards their home dimension). Or, of course, tartarus. I feel like tartarus & the upsidedown would be “close” dimensionally speaking. So annabeth & percy or nico could end up in that alternate universe. Or the fields of asphodel—maybe a gate opens in the tree hazel sits under, and hazel (& nico, who was maybe told about that gate by bob?? & asked to check it out/fix it?) end up slipping through & entering the upsidedown.

Or maybe just bianca and nico? Like, casino-era bianca and nico, a gate opens up inside the casino or they enter the labyrinth from the casino accidentally or something—basically they leave early end up in the stranger things universe, but then what???

Idkkkkkk im honestly spitballing bc then it’s like well when is stranger things taking place? When is this for them? What season, how old is everybody, what are the potential dynamics? Season 2 makes sense in terms of timing. Bc there are all those gates open for characters to leave the upsidedown through. But then, so does season 4, by that logic. And depending when this takes place on the percy jackson side of things—we could have nico & erica the same age (~botl on the pjo end, season 4 on the stranger things end), we could have percy & annabeth & steve the same age (HoH on pjo end, season 2 on stranger things end), we could have percy & annabeth & the PARTY the same age (botl on pjo end, season 4 on stranger things end)—you get the picture.

I'm not really sure where the demigods could come from, but I kind of like Percabeth being the same age as the older kids, simply to have Annabeth and Nancy glaring at each other (they are so similar istg) and Percy looking at those children and going "damn even in this universe kids can't be kids" YOU KNOW ? So like maybe during the second series ? HoO ?

ALSO NICO. He would technically be Will's age, if it's s4 (I think. I believe?) And I'd pay to have a view on his interactions with the Party... maybe them asking if Max is really dead, and he's confused because he's never seen that before, she's like, dead but not dead ? And it doesn't make sense, unless her soul is wandering somewhere, or is stuck !

If it's s3, It'd be nice too ! With the mindflayer and everything, I think it would be really nice to have them three and seeing their reaction !

Also do you realize the potential of having the rest of the Seven there ? This might be too "on crack" so maybe limit them to only one or two of them, but it would be so nice having Leo there (not just because he's my favorite character), and he could like, bond with Dustin over their genius minds, and he'd be so useful in the UD too...

But if we have to only limit to Percabeth + Nico, I think it'd be best to have Percabeth be the age of the older kids, and Nico the age of the party ! I don't really know where they'd come from, honestly, since as you said there are so many places 😭 but I absolutely love the idea of them coming to ST Universe and just be like "this is unsettling"

Just when it seemed to be getting a little dull a newcomer has made a grand entrance indeed, and at a ball held by the Duchess of Hastings herself. Lady Aurora Hathaway seems to have returned to London at least for now and no one seems to be more interested then Lord Bridgerton himself. Word has it they danced multiple times last night, was it simply reacquainting with a dear friend or has someone finally caught the Viscounts eye? This author eagerly awaits to see what these two have in store for us this season.

"See even Lady Whistledown things you have feelings for Aurora." Eloise said practically shoving the parchment in my face.

"Lady Whistledown is mearly releasing gossip." I said grabbing hold of the parchment.

"I like Aurora" Hyacinth said. "Anthony smiles when he talks about her".

"I do not!" I protested but I felt my face forming a smile even at the mention of Aurora.

"Look he's doing it right now!" Benedict exclaimed "why I haven't seen you smile in quite some time brother."

"And I even longer" Colin added.

"Because the two of you drive me crazy." I replied

"But not as crazy as Aurora does." Colin said.

"Do you want to get hit in the head before noon? We could arrange that."

"There will be no such thing happening."

"But mother-

"No buts Anthony" I leaned back annoyed that I was defeated by my own mother while Colin seemed to be smiling enjoying his victory.

"Where is Aurora?" Gregory asked

"Asleep" I replied, Aurora was never a morning person.

"When will she break her fast?" Eloise asked

"When she wakes up" I replied simply.

"When will that be?" Gregory asked

"Who's to say, Anthony did exhaust her last light." Benedict said with a smirk, I tried to regain my composure surly he couldn't have seen me leave Aurora's room last night or was it at the ball? Was he walking past that room at the very moment she was moaning so loudly I had to cover her mouth?

"How many times did you two dance brother I'd say 5."

"Yes and it seems Anthony was not the only man Aurora was dancing with last night." Eloise said

"Yes and they all seemed to be quite respectful gentleman." Mother said

"I'm sorry when did we turn into a family of gossips." I said talking a sip of my tea, I didn't miss Benedict's smug look he gave me.

"Anthony when are you and Aurora going ridding today?"

"As soon as she breaks her fast." I replied silently thanking Mother for changing the subject.

"It's unfair that you are to entertain Aurora first." Eloise stated

"I'm sure she would be more then happy to tell you all about her travels tonight."

"That is if you don't tire her out with all the ridding you two will be doing."

"Benedict Bridgerton!"

"Horses mother, besides Aurora is a intelligent young lady and-

And that's why her and Anthony aren't married." Colin interjected and both of them burst out laughing.

"Both of you shut up!"

"Excuse me but what does riding horses have to do with marriage?" Eloise asked. Colin opened his mouth most likely to explain the double entendre but I interjected. “Don’t you dare!”

Eloise scoffed before crossing her arms and leaning back against her chair. “Why is it that I'm always "too young" to be told about some things?”

"Its not just that Eloise, your also a lady and laddies must not hear about such crass things." I said glaring at Colin. "Especially with our younger siblings present."

"What shall Eloise not hear about?" Aurora asked sitting down next to me. I ignored the little fluttery feeling in my stomach, instead I reached over and grabbed the tea pot.

"Nothing, just Colin and Benedict making crass remarks over breakfast." I replied pouring her a cup of tea, Aurora thanked me then put the cup up to her lips.

"Aurora what does ridding have to do with marriage?" Eloise asked Aurora spit out her tea.

"Is this what you talk about? In front of your younger siblings too?" The three youngest Bridgertons seemed to be in their own world ignoring us and having their own conversation at least for the time being.

"See I always thought the only ridding one does is on horseback." Mother seemed to have given up on trying to end the conversation all together.

"Yes your correct now moving on. Speaking of ridding- HORSEBACK RIDING COLIN the weather looks beautiful for it."

"We must be on our way then, we can't wast this beautiful day."

"Anthony please she's only just risen." Mother said

"I do apologize Aurora."

"It's all right I won't be long." Aurora said bitting into her toast.

"Take your time in the meantime Colin, Benedict a word?"

"Uh oh." Eloise said. Both of them sighed knowing what was coming.

"Are you two out of your minds?!! It's one thing to make such remarks when we are alone but in front of the family and at breakfast no less is another." Both were silent knowing they crossed a line.

"Another thing, I shall have no more talk about me and Aurora getting married, it's never going to happen."

"Why not?" Colin asked "you two would make a wonderful couple."

"Thank you but that's not the point."

"Then what is the point brother?" Benedict said "we mock because we care, about you and about Aurora. We only want you two to be happy."

"We are happy with the way things are right now, with us just as friends now you two may choose to believe that or not but it's the way things will be going and nothing will change is that clear?" Both of them nodded.

"Good. Now you will march back in their and apologize to Mother, Eloise, and Aurora for making such fools of yourself this morning."

"Why?" Benedict asked

"Because I asked you too now march."

"What crawled inside him and died?" Colin said to Benedict on their way back.

"I herd that!" I shouted

I sighed after leaving the house with Aurora and her maid, finally some peace and quiet.

"Your lucky you don't have siblings." I said Aurora giggled. "Hush you love them, you dedicated your life to them."

"And yet..."

"They mock because they care." She replied

"I know, they mock too much is the problem."

"Well there not here now." She got closer, perhaps too close with a chaperone present. I felt her nose brush against mine, he hand on my shoulder, and her lips up against my ear.

"Let's go then." With that she took off. I was still stunned for a moment thinking about her body pressed against mine and how often I think about her, especially at night.

"Lord Bridgerton?" Auroras maid pulled me back to reality.

"Shouldn't we hurry? To find Lady Hathaway."

"Yes of course." I said snapping out of my daydream and we ran off, trying to catch up with Aurora.

We found her saddling up two horses I breathed a sigh of relief.

"There you are."

"Here I am." She passed the stirrups of one or the horses to me."

"While you were daydreaming I was actually getting the horses ready, Liz this one is yours."

"Liz?" I asked

"Short for Elizabeth, we've grown rather close."

"It's been a day, not even."

"I know, funny how things change so fast. Sometimes it's for the better too." I watched Aurora get on her horse and bumped her heels against the horse.

"Come on Anthony or you'll fall behind again." I climbed on my horse as fast as I could following Aurora out into the fields.

"Come on Anthony  you're gonna have to be faster then that!" Aurora shouted farther ahead.

"I'm saving my horses energy just you wait, yours will run out." She laughed

"Keep telling yourself that Anthony in the meantime I hope you enjoy seeing my horses backside." It's not your horses backside I'm looking at.

"Shouldn't we stop and rest? We've been riding for hours." Aurora sighed but slowed down her horse allowing me to catch up.

"I suppose your right."

"Do me a favour and say that when we get back home, in front of my entire family as well." She rolled her eyes I smirked loving our playful banter.

"Not even for a princes hand in marriage." She replied getting down from her horse. I followed allowing the horses to drink water from a river nearby. I got a blanket out of my ridding bag I had brought along.

"Where did you get that?" She asked

"From the ridding bag I had brought with me."

"Why didn't I see it before?"

"Because I and I use your words was looking at your horses backside." I replied setting down the blanket. I gestured for Elizabeth and Aurora to sit before I did. I sighed while it is a beautiful day out nothing compares to the wind blowing a few stray hairs in Aurora’s face while she was looking the other way, allowing me to take in all her beauty. At her gorgeous blue eyes, her high cheekbones, her gorgeous lips that I do not tire of kissing nor do I ever imagine myself doing so. She turned her head towards me and I found myself saying "why haven't you gotten married?" She sighed.

“Must we discuss this?"

"No, but it's been on my mind. More so then I'd like to care to admit."

"Why aren't you married?" She asked.

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah, why haven't you found your Viscountess yet? I'm sure your mother would love to have another older women in the house, one she could talk to about adult matters."

"It's complicated."

"My situation is not?" She insinuated.

"I don't know you haven't told me."

"I don't wish to marry Anthony, I won't marry."

"Why not? You'd make any man happy, you'd make a amazing wife and mother. I remember how you handled Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth after they were born."

"That's the problem." I looked at her confused.

"Children?"

"I don't want any Anthony. The family line is ending with me, I shall carry it out until I die.”

"You sound a awful lot like my brother in law. He too had this plan that he wasn't going to marry, then he met Dapahne and much to my dismay-

"Yeah she wrote to me about it, you dueled him and almost shot Daphne."

"Not one of my finer moments." I admired "anyways the point is they are happily married now."

"Well good for him Anthony and good for you if you are to ever find anyone but I made my decision and I'm sticking with it. Now it's your turn." I sighed

"For a long time I was... involved with someone. A opera singer named Sienna Rosso, I never thought about another women when I was with her. Although we couldn't wed either we kept our affair a secret."

"I see." Aurora’s lips formed a tight line.

"She was a distraction, from my responsibility's and for a while I liked that but one day realized I need to take charge and be the man of the house. I broke off the affair last year and have been throwing myself into my duties ever since." Along with any women that I could toss a silver to but Auora doesn't need to know that.

"Did you love her?"

"At one point yes, or what I thought was love at the time."

"I'm sorry Anthony." I shook my head, "it's for the best. I need to focus on my duties, no matter how boring some of them may be."

"You were honest with me about Sienna then I think it be fair I'm honest wirh you.  Years ago, while I was traveling I happened to bump into the Duke of Hastings, we were staying in the same inn and-

"You need not tell me anymore." Mostly because I don't want to hear anymore or I would march over to their house and punch him straight in the face.... Again.

"Please don't tell Daphne, I've been trying to tell her or come up with the right words to tell her but I fear they do not exist."

"I promise." I said Aurora smiled and rested her head on my shoulder.

"Will you tell me what made you decide not to get married?"

"No" Aurora said sternly.

"I'm sorry if I crossed a line."

"It's ok as long as you never mention it again."

"I won't."

"Ok good." We sat in comfortable silence with her  head resting against my shoulder until I herd her stomach rumble.

"Hungry?" I asked trying my best to hold back laughter.

"How do we know it wasn't you?" Just like that my stomach made a similar noise."

"See?"

"I suppose we should be heading back" I admited. Elizabeth rose from her spot father away from us that she seemed to have moved to during our conversation.

"All ready to head back Liz?" Aurora asked

"Yes Aurora, Lord Bridgerton." Elizabeth walked towards her own horse we all mounted them and rode back home. My mind still filled with thoughts of Aurora. Things have changed while we were apart although not all of it has been terrible. My mind flashed back to last night when I had her in bed with nothing but her rode that I quickly discarded. No everything seems to have turned out better then I ever thought it could.

I watched the first episode of Finding Carter today. A rewatch, actually. Took me several days, but I got it done today.

Years ago, when I was a teenager, I was a fan of Finding Carter. But my memory is so fuzzy now. I pretty much remember nothing from those days. I don't even know if I ever seen an episode of season 2. I don't even know how much of season 1 I watched. But I know some spoilers of Finding Carter. And I vaguely know some other things, but kinda not really.

Anyway, I watched the first episode of FC. Here are my thoughts. And here are my thoughts about FC in general, which never got a season 3.

These points aren't in "chronological" order.

1 The last non-Finding Carter thing I watched that has Kathryn Prescott in it is the movie Polaroid. I watched that in full. I only seen some glimpses of Kathryn in Skins. On YouTube. I didn't like Polaroid that much, but I think Prescott is a great actress. She seems so cool. Finding Carter was the first exposure I had to her.

2 I really like the little brother. I don't even remember his name, but he reminds me of myself a little bit. He was a premature baby and is intelligent. Just like me. That much is clear from the first episode. Also, I have a vague memory of my teen days and seeing Carter's little brother hug her when she is in the hospital bed. I loved their relationship. I get the feeling Carter loves her little brother more than she loves her sister. I'm not complaining.

3 I don't even remember Taylor. LMAO. Completely forgot she existed. Before I did some research on Finding Carter years after being a fan of the show, I didn't know Taylor existed. I simply forgot. I see the way she acts in the first episode, and I really see her as this petty, spiteful person. Being jealous of her own twin sister at the party. Seriously? And trying to make her hair more noticeable to Gabe. Girl, chill tf out. He's not into you. It reminds me of incel guys trying to impress a girl who just doesn't want them, and never will. 4 I vaguely remember the grandfather and him hugging Carter. I love that scene. Especially now that I appreciate grandparent-grandchild bonds a lot more now than I did in the past. Carter really loves her grandpa, and that's just sweet. She even calls him pop-pop. Hugs him too. She doesn't hug any of her other family.

5 As of right now, I love Carter's relationship with her "fake mom". Spoiler alert: Carter is her actual biological daughter. Because Lori's egg or something like that. Lol. Either way, I wish Carter and Lori would stay together. Look, I know Lori kidnapped her, but I really love their bond. Lori is so loving. It's also realistic how Carter loves her and helps her escape. Wholesome too, in such a twisted way. Stockholm syndrome. I'm just now realizing that's what Carter has.

6 That last line about Carter's "real mom" being her true abductor. Wow. Amazing scene. Absolutely golden.

7 "Stop saying she goes by" I'm paraphrasing because I doubt that was the exact line, but that was really funny. Carter is a funny girl. Her insults to her real family was hilarious.

8 Carter backing away when she found out her real parents were going to see her. Haha. Pretty funny too. It was pretty cool to hear her real mom call her Linden.

9 Carter gets a job the very next day after seeing the manager? You go, girl.

10 So, the real mom's detective boyfriend stalks Carter on a road trip for two hours straight? Weird. How would she not know she was being followed that entire time? And I wouldn't even have the energy to follow someone for that long, then do that drive back to my city. Sounds exhausting.

11 I expected more hugs. You would think that the real mom would hug her daughter who was missing for over a decade. If that was me, that's what I would do. Not even the grandma hugged Carter. IDK the only decent person in this family right now is the grandpa. I like the little brother, but he isn't that highly regarded by me right now.

12 That was badass how Lori just moves directly past the police at the end.

13 I really don't like Taylor. Based on the things fans say about her online, I don't believe that opinion will change.

14 From what else I heard, the dad is a bad character too. He sure does seem like it. He seems really aloof and distant, but it's like he's going a halfway decent job at hiding it. But it's still too obvious. Dad is weird.

15 I really want to know how Lori managed to avoid being arrested while Carter was in the police station.

16 Lol at the car scene. After the party. Taylor was sleep in the back the whole time. I like Carter and Gabe together.

17 Carter is really close to the people you would think she would be less close to. She loves her grandpa more than her real parents. She clearly likes the brother she didn't know she had.

18 This is a pretty good show. It deserved more seasons. I wish I could remember all the parts I seen that came after the first episode.

19 I was under the impression that Carter was staying in the same town she got kidnapped from, during her kidnapping. It makes sense that Lori moved away with her. That explains why Carter's real family never seen her in public when she was still young. Would have been an awkward situation haha.

20 It's crazy to me how someone could forget they were kidnapped. Even a toddler. How does that work? One day Carter woke up as a kid and completely believed Lori was her true mom? Forgot everything else about her life and past?

21 By the end of the first episode of Finding Carter, I only like Carter, her little bro, her grandpa, and Lori. Maybe Gabe as well. Everyone else just isn't interesting.

Things I Watched/Listened/Read These Past Few Days

So, I had a rather stressful month due to an assignment deadend - things are ok now - and I have decided I would watch or read or listen to any media I could, at least once a day, to cool down.

The movies on this post are the ones I watched to cope with the stress. I will be talking more about them as each of them go, if I liked them or not and etc. This is not a critical post, though, it's more... idk personal.

1. The Secret of Kells

It is Cartoon Saloon's first movie ever. It's story is simple and you may not understand the importance of the Book of Kells without some historical background, but you will be able to enjoy it either way. My favorite scene is when Aisling starts singing and aaaaaaa it's too much. Gorgeous.

My only problem though... was that one black character's design. It seemed too close to the Black FaceTM. I got kinda turned off by it.

2. Wolfwalkers

Yeah, I know, I know I should have watched it in a manner to support the artists the way they deserve to be supported and I really wish I could have done that. Either way, it is a beautifully animated film and to anyone able to afford Apple TV+, I highly beg you to support this movie and watch it. There is a HEART to it, a soul I've been missing in animated movies and only occasionally see.

You may think you figured out the entire plot from the trailers, but there is one aditional plot tied to it involving Mébh and I enjoyed the surprise of it. The movie is beautifully animated, I love the accents the characters have even if I need to force myself more to understand them - you see, I am not a native speaker and always listened more to a 'standard' american accent so hearing irish for the first time was hard. I figured it out though!! Am really proud.

Pleasepleaseplease support this movie is what I'm saying.

3. Ponyo

IT'S SUCH A CUTE STUDIO GHIBLI MOVIE I SHOULD HAVE WATCHED IT SOONER AJSJDJEJEWJD

I wish we could have known more about Ponyo's family, but other than that I really enjoyed seeing what happened on-screen and how it was delivered. It's a cute tale. Manages to be creative and simple at the same time??? Don't expect much more than cute and simple and GORGEOUSLY ANIMATED though

4. The Old Guard

Listen, I know they did it very differently than the comics - but sometimes you just want to see some immortal gays being badass you know :,)

It's hard to point what I love more about the movie. Cinematography, the creative idea (although we should thank the comic writers for that), the characters, their struggles, representation and they even ground the immortality superpower. I don't know how they do that but every action scene is tense even if you know they can not die. You just wonder if they will be ok. I don't know how they did that!

5. Oliver Twist (2005)

I do not know the public reception of this, but I have been curious as to Oliver Twist since I heard of Disney's Oliver and Company inspiration. Therefore, once Prime added it then the oportunity came and I really liked it. I know it is narrated with a humorous tone but I do feel like it's descriptions of the horrors the main character faces were all right, I might as well have learned something.

It follows what many already know as the book - I haven't read it personally, therefore I do not know if it is a trustworthy adaptation - and we have Edward Hardwicke. Just. Edward Hardwicke.

6. The Mystery of the Sleepy Hollow

I did enjoy this movie, doesn't mean I liked everything about it. I did think the main character jumped into conclusions often, as if the script could not decide if he should be competent or incompetent and it really bothered me. I do am a sucker for a mix between horror and mystery, though, and thus did not mind watching this one at Halloween night.

Also, main character passes out at least 4 times in this thing - can you see this is based on gothic literature yet?

7. BBC Radio 4's "A Study in Scarlet"

It's a nice adaptation with many aditional moments that really warm your heart. Reading Holmes being excited is one thing - listening is a whole other and I love how his voice sounds in this one. He speaks fast but it's easy to understand and hIS TONE OF VOICE IS HIGHER THAN YOUR USUAL ADAPTATION, LIKE WATSON CONSTANTLY POINTS OUT IN THE BOOKS

Stamford gets aditional moments aswell, and they are great.

8. Upside Down

I have been curious about this movie since my father watched it back in 2013. I remembered the name and the basic premise for all these years - because I thought it was unique. I never watched it before because I thought it would be a cheesy romance movie bUT-

It has an unique worldbuilding and I love it. I even liked how the camera angles made me kinda umconfy because can you imagine talking to someone who's upside down LMAO. It's world have limits too, and I really appreciate that.

I simply did not understand how can someone get pregnant in Eden's situation but 😳 who am I to question 😳. I also wish Eden could have had more of a presence too, like I wish I could have seen more of her even with her amnesia :( I felt she had one of the weakest characterizations. I wish we could have seen Adam and Eden talking to each other more, seeing they slowly grow into lovers. I also didn't like how much exposition it had as well, like I did not understand the first 5 minutes of the movie at ALL.

Still enjoyed it tho. It's just... kinda average but thats ok i guess

9. Bojack Horseman S04EP09 “Ruthie”

Massive comfort episode! I must have watched Ruthie more than any other Bojack Horseman episode, to be honest.

This episode is just a huge bad day for Princess Carolyn and the way she copes with it and how it is incorporated into the story is... beautiful and tragic. I love Princess Carolyn-centered episodes, and even though this one isn't compared to the trend this series has of making a fantastic Episode 11 for each season, it is still enjoyable and sad. That and I did have a small giggle at the miscarriage jokes, I'm so fucking sorry.

10. Brooklyn 99 Pilot Episode

I had watched Brooklyn 99 before - but it's been a long time since I've seen the first episode that ever aired. I really enjoyed it and it did make my mother and I chuckle a little bit.

God, I need to keep up with this series again; it's been such a long time since I stopped watching due to stress getting in the way lmao

Going in blind: Watching season 1 for the first time. Random thoughts.

This show is kind of nice because I have no memories of the original She-Ra show, or even any of He-Man, honestly. I'm not sure if I ever watched the original, so I have no frame of reference for how the series is "supposed" to be. I can just take it and judge it as is.

Of the bat, all I know is that supposedly She-Ra and Catra get together as a romantic couple later, but I'm also a huge My Hero Academia fan and the fandom around me ships every character with every other character, so for all I know that might just be shipper wishful thinking I've been seeing and hearing. Given fandoms for Gravity Falls, Thor, and Supernatural ship even siblings together, I've learned not to trust anything except for what I see in the series for myself.

By the way, this isn't a review, just random thoughts and comments I'm having as I'm going through season 1 for the first time.

Episodes 1 and 2: Right off, I really like Catra's "No duh" response to Adora about the truth of the horde. She knows they've been lying to them and have been doing terrible things, she just doesn't care. If she and Adora play their cards right they could end up being the ones in charge and then they'd have all that power. Not necessarily to make things better but enough to where they could do whatever and live however they want. That's a good build for an antagonist. Not ignorant to the fact what they're doing is wrong, just simply so selfish that they don't care.

Episode 3: It really feels like there was no good reason why Glimmer didn't just outright introduce Adora to her mother and every reason she should have known it was a bad idea to try and hide her for a surprise. Being a former horde soldier she'd probably get treated with hostility if Glimmer brought her to the front gate but you'd almost guarantee Adora would get arrested or outright killed if she got caught while no one else knew she was there.

On the other side, we have Hordak being pretty intelligent in promoting Catra. He probably knows Shadow Weaver already doesn't like him, so it's not like he's losing anything making her upset with him, and it's clear she favors Adora way more than Catra, so that little bit of advancement towards Catra probably goes a long way in earning her loyalty to him and a person on the inside with Shadow Weaver.

Also, I'm not the only one who saw Madam Razz and immediately thought Adora had found her Yoda, right?

Episode 4: I don't know how it was in the original She-Ra and He-Man series but I kind of like She-Ra being this title from legend. Adora is not the first She-Ra, given what Razz was talking about with a Mara, so instead of being something new, impressing everyone with abilities they've never seen before, and creating the legend, Adora is placed in a position WAY over her head where she's having to live up to what came before her.

Episode 5: Calling it now, as long as her personality is genuine I think Scorpia is going to be one of my favorite characters in this show. She's...endearing, I think is the best word. She's like a mix of Kronk and a nicer Shego.

For a little bit I thought Mermista was voiced by the same actress who played Poison Ivy in the Harley Quinn animated series. She's not but they do have the same kind of Daria-ish inflections, thus by confusion. Given the prom episode, Sea Hawk feels kind of like her Kite Man.

Episode 6: Okay, now it's between Scorpia and Entrapta who are likely to be my favorites by the end of this. She's fun and quirky.

Episode 7: Quite the lore drop. Shadow Weaver was once a Mystacor sorceress known as Light Spinner. I like to imagine we'll get more on that later. Her haunting Adora reminded me of the Teen Titans' episode where Robin was similarly haunted by Slade. This didn't go as far as that but that's probably for the best, since TT had two and a half seasons to build that dynamic up with Robin and Slade while we're only now halfway through the first season.

Episode 8: Well dang. Again, I don't know for sure if Adora and Catra do end up together but boy do I buy why they're shipped together after that dance. Also, good on Bow for standing up for himself. It's clear that he'll always be Glimmer's friend and this won't change that but that doesn't mean he has to just accommodate her. I understand where her issues stem from but I am still glad he gave her a reality check. It helps him feel a little more like his own character.

Also, another nice little bit of lore and worldbuilding. Scorpia's a princess, the horde landed where her people lived, and they seemed to join them willingly.

Episode 9: Surprisingly don't have a lot to say about this other than I don't buy for a second that Entrapta is dead (EDIT: She's not). This was mostly action.

Episode 10: Not going to lie, this one kind of annoyed me a little, at least the first half. The conversation between Glimmer and her mother saved it a bit. It was a bit of a trifecta. You have the alliance breaking apart, saying that the loss of Entrapta only happened because they were all together...even though Entrapta only "died" because of her own machine obsession that caused her to deliberately walk back into the purging chamber. You have Entrapta who might be turning to the horde's side because she feels abandoned by the other princesses...even though they thought she was dead, and again it was her fault they got separated. And you have Glimmer refusing to tell her mother that Shadow Weaver's dark magic has caused her powers to go on the fritz and is causing her great pain. It just feels like none of this would be an issue if most of these people would stop being self-absorbed for three seconds and talk like any normal person would. It feels very CW drama, like something I'd see in a bad season of Arrow or The Flash. The only person whose issues I buy is Adora, who is basically a soldier who was never properly raised to deal with emotion or loss and is already struggling with the burden of being She-Ra, the legendary savior. I get why she's beating down on herself for not being able to do more even if nothing that happened was her fault.

Episode 11: JEEEEEEEEEZZZZ, that was such a good episode! Focused entirely on Adora and Catra and their past together. Like, just showing someone this episode alone could probably get them to want to watch the series. That was everything you needed to know about their dynamic and history together.

Also, that moment when Catra and her past self are looking at each other, while obviously Catra takes the opposite lesson, it reminded me of this fanart I'd once seen of Jason Todd, the Red Hood, looking at his past self as Robin. The past says to the future "You ruined everything". Catra could be happy but, ironically for someone who hates Shadow Weaver, she's probably going to be a lot like her, sacrificing everything for power and ambition.

Given the way she looked, I'm guessing Shadow Weaver is either addicted to the power of the Black Garnet or she suffered some kind of past injury and its power is the only thing keeping her going. Or both.

Episode 12: I'll be honest, Swiftwind being able to talk kind of gobsmacked and I needed a moment to recover. What a great voice they chose for that character.

So She-Ra is kind of like the legendary heroes from Rising of the Shield Hero, coming from a long line of people chosen to wield the sword. I tend to dislike chosen one types of stories because I think prophecy takes a lot of weight out of the character's actions, so this and Avatar are more what I like. The MC is special but not the only one who's ever been special and they can still easily fail. Their destiny was only to be able to use the weapon, not that they would succeed in any specific purpose.

And dang, Catra's turn against Shadow Weaver happened faster than I thought it would but I'm not complaining. That great "This is what you've really been preparing me for" speech and Hordak, again, being an intelligent villain. "Oh, this experiment could net me a MASSIVE gain and all it could potentially cost me is this rock I already gave away to someone who lately hasn't been producing any results and has been consistently disobeying me. Yeah, I'm going to let this play out."

Episode 13: That was kind of a brutal fight between Adora and Catra. Not the worst I've ever seen even in other shows for this age range (Samurai Jack, for example) but those punches are connecting and those claws are leaving marks.

Also, maybe I'm just misunderstanding the exact situation but shouldn't the good guys' side be called the Resistance instead of the Rebellion? Being a rebellion would imply they are rebelling against an established power or rule over them, but the actual conflict we are shown is the established power and rule that is the kingdoms of Eternia resisting an outside force that wishes to establish a new order over them.

Season 1 verdict: I'm into it. I'm definitely more invested in the villains' side of things but that's not a fault of the series, that stuff is just way more geared towards me than the current princess stuff. I actively am at attention whenever the horde main characters are on screen. For the good guys it's mostly Adora and the She-Ra stuff I'm invested it. That isn't to say I have any real dislikes for that side. Bow especially I'm liking much more than I thought I might. He has kind of this gravitational pull around him. You will be his friend regardless of how much you might want to resist. He's definitely the rock for everyone else to hold onto.

Minor side note, kind of like Korra in Legend of Korra, I love how even when her powers aren't active Adora is shown to still be pretty strong physically with how easily she was lifting people up at the prom.

And I was right, Scorpia is my favorite side character.

On to season 2!

Gorillaz: The Now Now

1The other controversial Gorillaz album. Damon told us this shit would drop quick and lo and behold, we got an official album the very next year. Apparently, it was being worked on so quickly because Damon wanted more material for fewer concerts. Anyway, it's easy to see how it was so quick to release this album due to the lack of guest artists on it. Depending on who you ask, this works to the album's benefit or detriment. One of the main complaints on the last album was the lack of Albarn but some people say that Gorillaz simply doesn't have the magic anymore and that's never been more apparent then on this album. Me? I like this album. Far from their greatest but I don't really see a drop in quality either. Anyway, let's explore the tracks and see what all the fuss is about...

1. Humility

Damn, George is killing it on the guitar. And Damon knows it because he lets him do most of the work on this track, simply crooning along as he manages to place the listeners on a nice day near the coast in the Southwest, regardless of whether you've seen the video or not. An awesome track and the right one to release as the lead single.

2. Tranz

Named after a transformer, which is apparently not only a toy by Hasbro and a part in the car but also a device used in audio recording. Versatile little fucker, ain't it? Anyway, this is my favorite song off the album. Awesome, trippy, ominous and look at the video! Ace is there! Gyrating like Elvis! What a magical time 2018 was.

3. Hollywood

Where my beautiful people at, indeed? Nice song and it's nice to see Jamie and Snoop Dogg come back but this song could stand to take a few more risks. Hollywood: did you know that it's not all it's cracked up to be? You don't say...still, neat track.

Yes, we're all not gonna cry. It's would be pretty hard to considering how chill this track is. Nice gasping voice by Damon and beautiful beats. This album would dry the eye of anybody in the room, even if it was pollen season.

5. Sorcererz

One of the first tracks I've heard off the album and I fell in love atthe first cry of Damon's voice. He really does sell the coolness of a track about somebody having a freak out. Is...that not what this song about? Guys? Please. Someone tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Pretty normal track although it does put you in the mood for potatoes. What else does Idaho have to offer? Its parks? Get outta here.

Ah, the classic Gorillaz instrumental. How I've missed you...oh, you're leaving? Okay, see you in a song machine one day, I suppose. This instrumental doesn't really do anything special but it doesn't offend the ear drums either. It'll make nice walking music, it will.

Awesome song. You know my main gripe with it though? It sounds so final. It seems like something that should be placed at the end of an album, not near the end of one. Still, Magic City will make you feel like you're in a magical place...that closes with you still inside.

Well, I can't believe my eyes. A depressing song about fireflies! This has a bit of a bummer tune to it and it deserves as it sings about a lost love one cannot help but think about.

Okay, the team as a whole shows support for one another, especially their captain, Takeru. However, from what I recall, there’s not much... school spirit coming from their actual school. From Takeru’s family? Definitely, but they’re not the actual school.

8: JOHZENJI

Their whole team radiates spirit, but I don’t remember if they actually have a cheering section. Unlike Wakutani, where most of their spirit/support came directly from Takeru, each one of the members of the team had their own school spirit. Their school spirit isn’t that recognizable to be remembered by most people, though.

7: KARASUNO

Much apologies to the OG team. For one thing, their cheering squad, while I must admit is very impressive and loud, is not Karasuno High School itself. It’s literally coposed of a bunch of outside associations. And when their cheering section from the actual school does show up, they’re not even synchronized; they practiced for one day and called it “school spirit.” They showed up for one match and that was it.

6: NEKOMA

Honestly, I had a hard time choosing whether to put Karasuno or Nekoma in sixth place. I went with Nekoma because of Kuroo’s “inspirational” pep talk, which really shows the bond between each of the members of the team, but they’re still ranked pretty low because I can’t get that one scene out of my head from the manga where it’s this one match (I won’t say which one) where students from Nekoma attend the match and a couple of them go, “Wow, this is my first volleyball match that I’ve been to!” Like, dude, seriously? Wow. They also take sixth since their cheering squad, also composed of students, is led by a Nekoma Junior High student. We love supportive sisters.

I would have ranked them a little higher if it weren’t for other more spirited schools. The whole school knows how to hype up Bokuto, along with cheers of their own. The team itself knows each member so well that they’re able to adapt to whatever their ace is feeling.

Their cheering squad is so synchronized and so well-performed. They know what they’re doing and when to do things. You can tell they’re devoted. School spirit within their team is pretty strong, and they have a good bond with each other.

There’s too much to say. They’re so extra it’s unbelievable. The entire cheering section knows how to adapt to each members’ likes and dislikes, and will call others out when they need to do so. For instance, when that one guy asked the two girls not to cheer while Atsumu is serving? Absolutely wild. And when they start booing or play a tempo to throw off the opponent whenever it’s the other team’s serve? Their practice and precision really shows. It’s crazy. And I’m pretty sure that they’re the only school that brings their entire orchestra to play during the matches.

1) So… they’re doing a big reveal where Rebecca will tell who she has chosen right in front of everyone they know? Now I’m kind of hoping she chooses herself (although please please let her be with Greg!) because if she is about to choose one of the guys then she’ll be breaking the other two’s hearts in a very uncalled for manner…

2) Oh, Tim, what’s going on with your life, dude? First, the vibrator song, and now he’s happy not to be spending Valentine’s day with his wife…?

3) Dream ghost!!! Because Rebecca, in true Rebecca fashion, had another poop attack and fell asleep on the toilet… Dream Ghost is going to tell her about her future. Will we get to see what Rebecca thinks her life will be like if she chooses each of the three men in her life?

4) Oh!!! This is her future!!!

5)  That was a cheap trick, show. You got me. Because she’s now imagining her future with Nathaniel and Josh…

…and she’s not entirely happy in any of them.

5) Oh, god, I knew going into this I’d be an emotional wreck but I wasn’t expecting to be crying by minute 6. There’s just something about watching Rebecca shouting in her own face, demanding to know why she’s not happy. I think I know the answer. I think she just has to choose herself, I think the title of this episode is about Rebecca finally choosing to love herself first and foremost, and above all.

6) And she got the answer, straight from the horse’s mouth…

REBECCA: Tell me. Huh? Tell me why you're so sad. Why aren't you happy with Greg? Huh? I mean, what's wrong with him?

REBECCA 2: There's nothing wrong with Greg. Or Nathaniel or Josh. They're all wonderful.

REBECCA: You do love them. The problem is, you don't know who you are.

This really sounds like Rebecca could be replaceable. He’s not talking about wanting or imagining all of these things with her, he just wants them.

9) George has great plans for his future. He’s growing a ponytail. Nathaniel, on the other hand, seems to have nothing going for him except the possibility of Rebecca choosing him. I kind of wish they had brought up the fact that he was bored with his job before the finale?

There had been some references to how Rebecca creates the musical numbers in her mind but never had we seen if the other characters were aware of what she does or how they react to it. it was a small moment, but it felt like a huge pay-off for four seasons of storytelling in the form of musical comedy.

12) This medley ruined me…

I was a sobbing mess all throughout, I was crying and trying to sing along, and each song brought up so many memories and feelings. I knew I wasn’t emotionally ready for this episode, but damn, I really wasn’t ready.

But thankfully, I also laughed…

I’m really proud of Nathaniel. He truly came such a long way, and even if they are not together, his love for Rebecca had such a wonderful impact on him – he became a better version of himself because of it. I was absolutely floored by how mature and understanding he was, I wanted to hug him so badly.

And he quit his job and he got a job at the ZOO! TALK ABOUT A DREAM COME TRUE!

24) it’s fUCKING GREG’S MOMENT AND I’M NOT READY FOR THIS.

25) What a wonderful moment!

PAULA: What are you doing?

REBECCA: Uh, sorry, nothing, nothing.

PAULA: No, that's not nothing. That's You're staring off into space, like you do. You do that a lot. What's happening when you do that?

REBECCA: I don't want to tell you. It's weird.

PAULA: Oh, come on, any weirder than the many, many weird things you and I have done since we met?

REBECCA: I've just… I don't know I've never told anybody, except for the Dream Ghost and Dr. Phil.

PAULA: What?

REBECCA: What the hell? Okay. When I stare off into space, I'm imagining myself in a musical number. That's how I sometimes see big moments in my life, as musical numbers. And because I do that, so does the show. And by show, I mean the very popular BPD workbook acronym, "Simply Having Omniscient Wishes.” So, yeah, I see myself in these songs.

26) Paula is suggesting that Rebecca should write down the songs that she creates in her mind and that’s what I’ve been saying all along!!!

27) Oh my god, here come the waterworks again…

What an amazing reprise and what a great way to bookend the story! I’m crying but I swear these are happy tears! It’s been such a long time since Paula and Rebecca stood holding each other’s hands outside a party and singing about how Rebecca should go after Josh. And here they are, still holding each other up through thick and thin and being each other’s person. It’s such an amazing moment for so many reasons. I can’t help but be in awe at such a wonderful portrayal of female friendship. It’s amazing that the person that helped Rebecca figured out what she wanted to do was Paula. It wasn’t Josh or Nathaniel or Greg. It wasn’t her therapist or her mother. It was her best friend, the person that’s seen her at her best and her worst and has accepted for the wonderful, weird, chaotic mess that she is. This scene also conveys a much more important and impactful message – that all you need is, well, you. It’s all right inside you. You just have to be ready to find yourself.

29) And her break-up with Greg did not feel like a break-up at all. She was basically telling him that she couldn’t be with him right then. And even though he said he wouldn’t wait, he’s still single… I swear to god, I’ve been dreaming of a Settle for Me reprise, and if they deliver one I’ll probably die.

30) It was so fun to see Rebecca working hard and learning how to sing and play instruments and write lyrics. But this part was what really got to me…

REBECCA: I came to this town to find love, and I did. I love every person in this room. Each and every one of you.

I’m so happy she finally realized that! That’s what I’ve been saying all along. She’d always been so worried about finding one person or one thing that would make her truly happy, and there were so many people and so many things that did it for her and she just couldn’t see it.

31) Oh, wow…

32) What a wonderful ending to a wonderful series! It truly was everything that I had hoped for and more. I really wanted the end of the show to be about Rebecca, self-love, and self-awareness, and the show delivered that in such a beautiful and moving way. I know I’ll cry every single time I listen to that medley! I was kind of concerned about the heavy emphasis on the rom-com aspect of the show in the last few episodes, but I’m really glad that was put on the back burner and it was left kind of open-ended – although I’m positive wherever she is, she’ll end up with Greg. This weird, wonderful show has meant a lot to me, and I can’t wait to revisit this story. I’m glad Rachel and Alina got to tell their story the way they envisioned it, and I think it was a terrific idea to end the story sort of media res – just when Rebecca was about to start a new chapter of her life.

I’m too emotional right now to properly convey exactly how much this show means to me and how impactful and groundbreaking I thought it was for many different reasons, but I’m certain the legacy of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will live on, and I truly can’t wait to see what the wonderfully talented people behind it have in store for us in the future. I know it will be wicked good.

Goodbye, Rebecca. Goodbye, West Covina. It’s been a wonderful journey!

2.  What made you notice them?

I mean, he's one of the four members in my personal acceptable age range (not that that's always contained me before...), so I guess he was a little bit on my radar from the start, but I was all enamoured with Yunsung and then... Sunghoon was just there. In my face. In my brain.

In particular, in the instagram video of them goofing around/practicing Beautiful when it pans over to him I remember thinking something along the lines of "wow, I'm ruined.", though less coherent than that.

Also, in the gifset of them being cute where there's the "Bonus" at the end of him being embarrassed. Those two things flipped the already-teetering Inky off the fine-with-Seunghoon cliff.

3. What’s your favourite thing about them?  

He has this casual power to him. He radiates it. He's confident, but not in an arrogant/cocky way. Not obnoxiously. He knows himself and what he's capable of and wears it proudly, but he's still humble.

He's a good leader and takes it seriously, but he doesn't take himself too seriously.

He just feels stable. He feels reliable.

(Bet you all expected it to be his tongue...)

4. Who would initiate skinship more?

Probably him - he's actually very skinshippy, which I love. He's so soft and gentle when it comes to skinship.

5. Who would hog all the blankets?

Me. Without a doubt. He can solve this by being near me and keeping me warm~

Emotionally, or? Emotionally I'm not very clingy, but if you're trying to leave the house and I don't want you to then I can be clingy. I feel like we would be similar? Neither of us very clingy.

7. Who would say ‘I love you’ first?

I have no qualms about saying it first, but TECHNICALLY he's already told me he loves me. Through vlive. Soooo.

8. Who would get more flustered?

That would be me. He's dealing with fans telling him sweet things all the time, and I'm sure that doesn't make him find those things less sweet, but it probably means he's adjusted and isn't flustered all the time.

I, on the other hand, felt my heart drop out of my body when he smiled and waved at me. I flustered myself/was flustered by his stupid incredible smile when I told him he was handsome.

9. What cuddling position would you two have?

Him sitting reclined on the couch or in bed. Me sort of half-beside half-on-top of him with my head tilted back against his chest and his arms wrapped around me. He can lean forward gently and kiss my head, if he feels so inclined.

10.  What colours remind you of them and why?

Yellow because of the instagram video where the GIFs above are from where he's wearing the yellow shirt with the sleeves rolled up because I've watched that video more than probably anything else... Also, there's something else where he's wearing yellow that I'm going to share soon... (호랑이~)

11. What season would you like to spend with them?

Fall because have you seen him in the turtlenecks and long coats? And he can also wear hoodies because Seunghoon in a black hoodie (+ a baseball cap) looks like such a boyfriend it makes my heart ache.

I hate winter but I just imagined him brushing the snow out of his hair and then smiling why did I do that no.

12. Who would bake the cookie and who would steal the batter?

I feel like we're both batter stealers and Minhyuk would come back to the kitchen not-even-surprised to find he can now only make 50% of the anticipated cookies...

13. Who would make bad puns and how would the other react?

Despite him being a grandpa, I feel like I would be the one making the puns.

He'd react with this look...

... and then by walking over, wrapping his arms around my shoulders in a hug, and murmuring "You're so lame" against my hair.

14. Who would want to adopt 50 dogs and cats?

I would want to adopt 50 cats because yes please thank you. He would tell me I could only choose one cat. We would compromise and go home with two cats so they could have each other as friends.

15.  Which one of you would nearly burn down the kitchen trying to microwave a pop tart and who would come to rescue?

I wouldn't because YOU DON'T MICROWAVE POPTARTS?? You toast them in a toaster...

Moving beyond this, I'm not actually sure cause I feel like he's been taking care of himself for a long time so he should be able to use a kitchen at a basic level, but then I realize I have also been "taking care of myself" *shamefully thinks about the recycling bin full of pizza boxes I put out yesterday* for a long time, and I'm not so kitchen-adept, so...

16. Who likes to lean over trail railings and who pulls them back?

I would probably lean over and Seunghoon would either pull me back or (preferably) stand behind me with his arms around my waist to keep me from leaning too far.

17. What would watching a horror film with them be like?

My face would be in his chest the entire time. Occasionally he'd gently scratch my head and ask "Want a dorito?" and I would nod, pull back slightly and allow myself to be fed a dorito. When something scary/startling happened on screen he would jolt slightly and I would chuckle into his chest and he would feign outrage at my laughing at him cause I'm not even watching the movie.
