Genshin things that I will ignore in canon:

Diluc and Kaeya exchanging letters to each other during his 3-4 year revenge quest

Kid Kaeya was a perfect angel who never did anything wrong

Adult Kaeya is a perfect angel who never did anything wrong

(Let the man be morally dubious that’s when he’s most interesting. Plus his recent characterization is inconsistent with his earlier one and his bio lore)

Yae Miko tormenting every single Inazuma guy character (her silly rivalry with Itto can stay it’s funny)

60% of the Venti alcohol jokes (they aren’t funny most of the time. The only time it’s funny is times like when Beidou wouldn’t let Venti and Kazuha drink despite them both being of legal drinking age)

Paimon being the travelers voice (I’m in the minority where I like Paimon as I feel she’s the travelers annoying little sister and with that in mind she’s written rather well but I do agree with everyone who’s annoyed with how she speaks for the traveler. While I’ve never published any fanfics in a lot of my ideas Paimon ends up getting a bit shafted due to me not really knowing what to do with her because outside of being the travelers voice she doesn’t do all that much.)

Most of the Inazuma main story (if I want to I can be willfully ignorant and enjoy the story but after reading gold-rhine’s Inazuma re-write I can never go back)

The traveler being a jerk to Furina at the beginning of her story quest. (In character for Paimon but the traveler I think would at least be a little more understanding and would try to get Paimon to stop guilt tripping her)

Finally, the traveler fails to get Charlotte any scoops from the fortress of meropide. (I know why but they did waste a bunch of her money and that feels mean)

#genshin impact #extra: 90% of fandom jokes #the aren’t funny and most end up as wild mischaracterozations #tbh most of what I’m annoyed with in Genshin either has to do with gameplay or fandom #I’m pretty good at enjoying stories regardless of quality #one of my favorite games is Fire Emblem Fates #a lot of my Kaeya beef comes from Diluc being my first fave #I read a bunch of good fics that treat the whole thing with nuance and how neither of them were in the right and they both screwed up #and now like 90% is all about Kaeya #or shipping #I’m neutral to most ships #I got Stockholm syndromed into like Neuvilette x Wriothesley #I have at one point activly seeked out Childe x Zhongli #I’m fine with a bunch of popular ones (JeanLisa Eulamber etc)#but so much of Genshin fandom is shipping and because of that it’s so hard to find fics of characters I like without it #that’s why I got stockholmed into liking Neuvilette x Wriothesley #because so many interesting fic premises had it in there it was like or be unable to read those fics #plus I like aro/ace Diluc and I actively headcanon a lot of characters to be somewhere on the aro and or ace spectrum #this is less of a thing I’m ignoring and more of a this makes no sense thing but #in the long ass multi update fontain side quest there is a girl who grew up in the fortress of meropide #and it seems ooc for Wriothesley not either have not noticed her existence or to have done nothing about it #but I can’t ignore it because the quest wouldn’t make sense without her #so for me he knows and is trying to do something about it but can’t get her out for whatever reason #idk something about her not existing on Fontaines people records of something #the least he could do is ask some of the guards to look after her and keep her safe and happy #that’s my explanation

Yoongi: Ngl, he’s gonna find it a lil hot sometimes jdgfjskfhdiu. But seriously, he gets that sometimes shit just gets to you and you gotta vent a little. If you start to get really worked up, he’ll try to calm you down, but otherwise he lets you work it out at your own pace

Hobi: He gets soo startled the first few times it happens, like ‘wtf happened to my sweet baby?! Since when do you use those words?!’ He might try to diffuse at least some of your anger if you’re really mad, but I think he mostly just tries to stay out of your way when you’re like this.

Namjoon: Tbh, he’s got a lil bit of a temper too, so he’s not that shocked, moreso just surprised to hear that kind of language from you. He mostly lets you be, trusting you to let him know if something’s really bothering you, and offering to talk if you need to.

Jimin: I think he’d be so genuinely startled at first, he thought he was the one with the temper in your relationship! He’s more concerned about why you're upset than anything else tho, wanting to try and find a solution or way to help out you if he can.

Taehyung: Similar to Jimin, I think he’d more worried than anything, wanting to know why you’re upset and if there’s any way he can help. He really hates seeing you upset, so he’d try to find a way to make you smile, whether that’s a simple kiss or surprising you with your fave food.

Jungkook: The first time he hears you get mad and curse, he’s like 👀, it’s just so different from your normal personality, he doesn’t quite know what to think. For the sake of your books and things, he might ask if you wanna try some boxing or smth with him to vent your frustrations.

Specifically asking for Mammon and Asmo cause they're my faves, but could you write some headcanons as to what they're like as a duo, both interacting with each other (in a platoic way of course) and MC?

They're my favorite dynamic in the game tbh hehe

Mammon and Asmo are definitely MC's number 1 party duo, if MC wants to go out, you're calling them. Not only does MC trust them to keep you safe out there in the demon clubs (there's some sketchy mfs at those places), but they LOVE taking MC out dancing!!

I personally think Mammon and Asmo also spend lots of time together, they both have similar interests in fashion, modeling and social media (although social media is mostly Asmo). Once MC came along, they wanted to doll them up! Although they have very different aesthetics, and often would fight over whether they'd look best in the Legally Blonde-pink outfit, or the leather jacket, ripped jeans and combat boots (Mammon usually caves first, mostly cause he thinks the pink outfit is cute too)

Mammon's the only one really allowed to be in the room when Asmo is having a pampering session with MC, since he's a model he understands Asmo's views on skincare and relaxation, and sometimes the three of them have massage circles while they talk shit.

I feel like aside from Mammon's habit of taking things from Asmo, they don't butt heads very often. Sure, Asmo makes the same comments his brothers do, but to him his brother is mostly just a dumbass. Usually they'll agree on things, unless Mammon says something profoundly stupid, then Asmo has some words to say

Mammon's one of the brothers who actually appreciates the manicures, whereas everyone else kinda just lets him do it. Mammon likes his nails painted, but sucks at doing it himself, so Asmo does it for him!

Asmo 100% goes to Mammon's shoots to make sure they're not doing his big brother wrong! He's NOT letting those people put Mammon in anything he deems ugly

Shopping. They love shopping. It's a hassle to get them out of the shops once they've gotten into it!

Mammon is willing to thrift, and Asmo is only going so he doesn't get anything ugly lol

Mammon has definitely just not said anything to anyone when Asmo comes home late with a demon that managed to strike his fancy; they usually make knowing eye contact with each other and then never speak of it

-probably had to do a musical elective in his first year of middle school and chose guitar cause he thought it would be easy but it wasn’t.

-as for sexuality, i see him as not wanting to put a label on whatever he is in theory but in practice being some type of bispec (probably berriromantic) for romantic attraction and then somewhere on the asexual spectrum for sexual attraction.

Possibly unpopular opinions incoming which means post it before bed, natch.

I actually think Tim in a trio would be cute. I don’t trust DC not to make it weird of course but as far as headcanons go I could see him trying that out for a bit. One partner is of course Kon. DC can fight it all they want but I do think someday (maybe when I’m 70) Tim and Kon will end up canon.

Anyway, temporary trio wise I think Tim, Kon, and maybe a new character. I have no issue with Bernard but I always feel like DC shoved him in there to cut off timkon talk so I have a hard time seeing him as anything permanent y’know? But then again that would work as a transition into timkon when the trio ends. Amicably!! I’m so not here for drama.

I’d like to see a woman in there maybe, for some balance. No not Steph. I know some fans are still really married to the idea of them but the whole manic pixie dreamgirl thing has never been my jam personally. That’s why I’m generally attracted to the batfam. I like stoics. Yes, Dick isn’t my fave either (drawing all kinds of targets on myself tonight).

I feel like figuring out sexuality is so…basic and static in comics. Like yeah they talk about it being a journey of discovery but we don’t really *see* that, they just say it.

I think I’ve seen Bart as a popular third. Idk if that’s in line with him as a character at all since I’m less familiar with him but I’m open to it. I do kinda like the idea of an Amazon about their age. I know the supe/bat/amazon thing is common ground but hey it works really good. I can’t argue with it. I like reading superwonderbat too. Sue me.

If we wanna shake things up it would be interesting if it was a male Amazon. I mean we know men aren’t allowed to stay there so they must go somewhere. I think it would be interesting to see a male character from a culture where women are in control and that’s considered normal. No hate about it just, yeah that’s how it is here. I get bored of the sausage club that is the batfamily but I’ll take it if that means an interesting third.

sidebar: I really wish Cass was in more stories and we could have more girldad Bruce moments. I feel like DC tries to do the “girlpower” thing by putting all the girls on teams together and honest to god I do not care. I wanna see Batman and his kick ass daughter and her brothers, together.

It’s almost a shame Cass was adopted bc she would fit as a good third but of course we can’t do that for obvious reasons. Maybe in an AU, but I’d be more sad if she didn’t have batdad instead.

Anyone have any ideas about a third? I’m curious. Keeping in mind they'd need to get along with Tim and Kon on some level obvs or why would any of them bother.

Edit: How do we feel about Connor? I realized the rep for Ace characters is abysmal and I think Tim and Kon would be really sweet and understanding compared to like, idk a lot of other characters in general. Tbh I think of Tim as demi but idk if DC can handle that Bi was hard enough for them. But then I think I’d want them to stay a trio too. Idk y’all is Connor around their ages I seriously can’t keep up with how DC rearranges timelines. I DO know it would probably cause Bruce and Ollie to get catty with each other around the holidays and that’s always a bonus in my book.

We're doing you no harm and not interfering with your ability to enjoy the characters. Shouldn't it be a good thing that we're able to identify with the characters? Just mind your business. well guys. since i missed epic's birthday (devastating) have some headcanons :)

he is one of those weaboos who learned japanese so he can watch anime "the authentic way" (his words)

so he's fluent in japanese 💀 he literally only learned it for anime but dude was DEDACTED

do you got any headcanons for Macaque? or can I share some of mine?

I've pretty much been seeing him as a lee or perhaps a lee-leaning switch the entire time I've known of him. I think his death spots are his ribs (the ones near his underarms are the most sensitive) and his lower back, like right around the base of his tail. his favorite spots are his sides and stomach and his ears

his tickle laugh is very different from his normal laugh. a lot more carefree and silly. and squeaky. he's the squeaker

I think he likes being tickled because 1 the touch starvation and 2 it offers an alternate way of showing affection to the people he cares about (I'm projecting hard on him here I'm sorry 😭 I've been hcing him as aromantic with an aversion to romantic-type affection bc i like projecting my own identity onto my faves SORRYYYY)

i think soft tickles are the type that affect him the most, though he does like both gentle and rough playful tickles. sensory heaven to be quite honest

also a fun headcanon I've ended up subscribing to (for both macaque and wukong tbh): if they laugh hard or long enough they end up making little monkey noises in between laughs. silly little chirps and trills. I don't think they even notice it until someone points it out

NO WAIT THIS ACTUALLY LINES UP PERFECTLY TO HOW I SEE MACAQUE AS WELL LIKE SCARILY ACCURATELY LOL

I also 100% project onto Mac with the Aromatic and aversion to romantic-type affection since I’ve leaned towards that for awhile now myself. The touch starvation thing definitely would be something that gets to him, I’d also like to think that Sandy is actually a reallly good like soft ler for Macaque, he can just pick Mac up in his arms and just wiggle his finger softly into his stomach while he hides his face and lets out little chirping noises.

Sandy would 100% be that kinda ler that WOULD tease, but would also just give the lee what they wanted kinda thing. Like he wouldn’t try and pull macs hands away from his face or make him say something to be tickled, he would just tickle him because Sandy truly knows that he just NEEDS something to laugh from yknow.

The teasing he would do is subtle comments to Macaque like “wow Mr.Maquack your sides are really ticklish.” And verbalize things to him as he tickles that Macaque won’t comment back on but will do certain body language like scrunching up his shoulders more or curling his tail in to show that he heard Sandy.

I think Wukong would also be a ler for Macaque but definitely more of the ‘you did this, so this is my retaliation’ kinda tickling. Wukong does have the ability to be gentle with Mac though when tickling him but would be the type to call Macaque for enjoying it lol. It wouldn’t be mean or anything, just more of a general observation like “huh it almost seems like you enjoy this!” And will usually get a “shut up” in response and Wukong will just smile and keep tickling him lol.

MK would be afraid to tickle Macaque at first due to how they met and such but in the later stages of their friendship MK grows more confident to mess around with Macaque like friends would and probably got dragged into tickling Macaque with Wukong the one time when the monkey king was being a little shit and wanting to show off to MK that he knows one of Macaques weaknesses. Que Wukong jumping on Macaque and tickling him, they unceremoniously fall to the ground their tails wipping about as Macaque starts laughing while Wukong tries to pin him down and use his tail to tickle his stomach.

MK is standing there in awe before Wukong gestures for him to come over and help him. Macaque sees MK looking at him nervously and he just sighs and stops fighting and let’s Wukong switch to just holding his arms down so that MK can sit on his legs and he experimentally pokes around Macaques stomach and feels the shadow monke twitching and jumping with each poke. MK looks up and sees Macaque has buried his face into the side of his arm below his scarf and MK smiles at him.

“This is what Pigsy does when he tickles me!” MK says happily and scitters his fingers up over Macaques ribs closer to his underarms as he feels Macaque arch his back up into the tickling fingers as he squeaks and lets out a few barks of laughter.

They all have a happy wholesome time tickling Macaque and in the end Mac secretly loved the physical affection he got.

Absolutely I am taking asks! :)

Feanor is my fave silm character. He's The Guy to me. He's so extra and every piece of dialogue he has is a fucking banger. Tolkien really created the Most Character with him. I am Rotating him constantly. There's so much going on in there.

A few of my Feanor headcanons for you (based on the version where Feanor was still a child when Finwe and Indis married):

1) I think that given how close Feanor and Finwe were after Miriel died, it must have been very difficult for child!Feanor to adjust to suddenly having Indis right there. It probably interrupted a lot of the routines he and his father had in their home and made him all the more adverse to Indis being there.

2) I think it's quite possible that, given the fact that we know Feanor married early and left home when he did, that Feanor also ran away from home (possibly multiple times) as a child/teen because home didn't really feel like home to him.

It doesn't sound like Finwe and Indis made their home a very comfortable space for any of their children tbh (consider that Finarfin also canonically dips out to go get married as early as possible and move to Alqualonde).

3) decent possibility that Feanor meets Nerdanel/starts his apprenticeship with Mahtan during one of these instances of running away from home.

4) I think that Feanor's relationship with Finwe, Indis, and his half siblings actually did improve once he was out on his own and especially once he had his own children. Until Melkor got released and fucked it all up.

His fingers thread through Dick's shiny locks when he's within reach, first softly, a sweet reassurance that everything's going to be okay. Then he tightens his grip, tugging back a few inches, just to watch as it jerks Tim along with him. The matching yelps it pulls from the Bats is music to his ears, and he's sure they're both glaring at him from behind their white-out lenses. His lips curl up in a mean grin, “Hey, pretty bird. Looks like someone clipped your wings here.”

oooh i actually dont rly come up with a lot of crazy aus? my birds of passage series has an alternate dimension where the bats are all genderswapped and a couple of them end up crossing into the main verse? but i dont think thats very far out there 😂

J) Jack off (masturbation headcanon)

Tim - i think tim is like, weirdly clinical about it, but also does it all the time lmao. need to fall asleep? jack off. stuck on a case? jack off. overwhelmed by all the WE work that he shouldn't actually have to deal with but does? jack off. he swears by it as a means to clear his head

Slade - tbh i don't have any headcanons for slade about this and when i tried to think on it more all that popped into my head was him pulling out creepy stalker photos of the titans from back when he was in that fued that he's just held onto for this specific purpose gsjgdkdbdkdn like just imagine a shot of dick in his nightwing suit taken from 4 blocks away with a shitty red target drawn over him, that's what slades using to get off and it works

R) Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc)

Tim - yeah, so tim canonically made out with lynx on a rooftop and seeing as how he was still unsure if she was an undercover cop or actually running a gang, i definitely think he's up for risks. i also know that like openly sexual core four is highly fanon but cmon. they were a bunch of hormonal teenagers in stressful situations with little and then no adult supervision. they definitely blew off steam together. and you don't mess around with an Amazonian, a speedster, and an alien and NOT be game for experimentation lmao

Slade - slade is nothing but risk in bed babeeyyy, his wife shot him in the face and you can't tell me that he doesn't regularly have what they call hatesex with dick on the regular (it's not hatesex, it just makes them feel better to call it that), im just saying that kind of taste does not lend well to vanilla sex with no experimentation lmao

W) Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)

Tim - i think bc tim knows he can lie to bruce and get away with it and also got away with embezzling an entire batmobile so young he realized he could do Anything and get away with it, so i think he uses that for purposes that others might find questionable but he literally always has a reason, like for example "tim, why did you buy a chuck e cheese and hide it in the batarang budget?" "oh, we realized a bunch of members of the titans didnt ever get to experience having a birthday party there so i bought one, had it redesigned back to the old 90s aesthetic and then we marathoned parties for everyone so they could get it"

💖 Fic Writing Review 2023 💖

I was tagged by @penny00dreadful @rocknrollsalad @cranberrymoons and @unclewaynemunson Thanks everyone! You all smashed it in 2023. Here's to more words wording and fun fandom times with our faves.

Tbh, it took me a good month minute to work out how to do this, seeing as I don't post much to ao3 (something I intend on mending in 2024). I'm very much going with the 'feel free to show whatever stats you like' aspect of the rules.

But before all that, I'd like to use this post as an opportunity to acknowledge everyone who enjoys my writing. I kinda just fell into writing in this fandom and discovered that I love it!

I'm also sending love and appreciation to my beloved moots and everyone in the stwg discord server. Here's to another year of creating, sharing and interacting 💖

This fandom really is my happy place a lot of the time, a much-needed creative outlet and a space where I can talk to people who let me be my silly little old self.

I have so much I want to write in 2024 (including some in-the-works stuff listed below). One goal I know I have in 2024 is to write what I'll temporarily title, 'The Origin of Joanie Munson'. I would really like to knuckle down and write a looonnnggg fic this year that would tell that story.

Anyway, enough of me talking, I'll stop before I get too sappy...
