severance hits so fucking different when ur a plural system
like. you were created to take the parts of my life that i cant deal with. as thanks, you get a fractured existence, only living in one specific time and place. you are me- but you also have ur own opinions and thoughts and are distinct in ways that i dont understand.
the best i can offer you is to share our life, share our brain (in a process literally called reintegration. hello) and hope neither of us loses the parts of ourselves that make us who we are. we are in this together because we are one person, and because we have to be
severance really said systemhood is inherently beautiful and tragic and we’re gonna do some CRAZY accidental representation for that

I was gonna put this all in tags but
THANK YOU STARRY AND CALLISTO FOR BEING THE FANDOM'S PHILOSOPHERS
I think that every solarballs fan needs to analyse the WHOLE timeline instead of what [this character] has done in the recent episode and then deem them an innocent guy 🥰🥰 or the other character that did antagonistic things in that particular episode like one time the irredeemable bitch grrrr👿👿👿👿
I cannot stand it, all the characters are all just little guys who have a drive to do certain things. In essence, all their actions and dialogue/monologue move the plot, or their own development. (That's awesome too, a character like Uranus, Venus, or Jupiter for example)
You realise how most of us loved a character once, only to have our opinions diluted by something they did in the next episode? How often has that happened dawg. I love every interpretation of all the characters(to preface) but I think it's very simple-minded to assume each character was written to fulfil one archetype, like "someone who deserves to die" or "the boring guy" or "bad bitch" ←most of the female characters for some reason)
A good example is how everyone is currently interpreting the planet 9 and Gas giants dynamic. You see planet 9 has been ejected by both of them right? That's definitely evil. So their niceness AND probably friendship is a whole facade to hide that part of the timeline. Which we don't see. We all still pity 9? Okay good. Because apparently the gassies, despite it being obvious that they were bitches before the whole solar system, are still loved in the present. Because it was in the past. 9 was probably a victim in that past, and we pity him because we know what the gassies did to him in the past(there is SO much content about the past solar system save me)
Jump to the present!! I wonder if everyone is gonna hate planet 9 because he has motives to "get back" at the gassies. Because y'know the past doesn't matter yeahhuh
YOU CAN PITY BOTH SIDES FOR WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THEM OKAY???? bad things happen to everyone, in the show because they're all developed guys with individual characteristics. There are enough good qualities to go around, plus extra evil added on to enjoy.
There are so many instances where the fandom loves a character for a thing they did in one episode saying "I love evil people!! They're so powerful!!" Yeah because they rightfully created the atmosphere for excitement for the next episodes to come. Everyone begins to love that character and make them the angel on display. But the MOMENT they do evil actions in the next episode after their previous episode (because they included the "pitiful" character that "didn't deserve it 🥺") people go ballistic like that wasn't what the character wanted to do (the build-up to the evil hatched into the plan taking place) and start to convince everyone that this character is unreasonable or something. (if y'know which character I am talking about I'll love you)
like the whole fandom has attention span issues with keeping track of the plot. If you want the whole arc to last 1 video then. I guess you can think about what you want. I don't really know
Thinking about it (after leaving it as a draft for like 20 minutes or so) maybe people just have a bias to earth because he's the most vibrant coloured or he's "our" planet earth. Y'know human bias is a really subtle thing. It's easy to think he's the protagonist of Solarballs altogether because he's (aubdbdhhdhsha) the guy we live on
Last point: really think about, how each character impacts each other. The solar system (or the plot in general) would not be the same without *this guy to help balance the dynamics of the scene. The amount of effort required to link every character to each other based on their individual 50+ personalities is insane. I am so inspired daw
Jumps into ur inbox, hi I have some things to say abt Saturn and the fandom's treatment of him and his moons
A decent amount of ppl in the SB think abt the characters in black and white, when in actuality the characters are all morally grey, they have done good and bad things as well. And I feel like one of the character the fits the bill most well (who's also one of the characters the who's mischaracterized a lot by the fandom) is Saturn!
While yes Saturn is generally a nice person (planet), he's also fucked up (*cough cough* HIS MISTR.ATMENT OF HIS MOONS *cough cough*)
He does care abt them to a certain extent, he cried when he found out he killed one of them and it formed his rings but the way he handled telling the moons,,,, wasn't rly the best tbh.
THIS IS NOT ME EXCUSING HIM HOWEVER, he never brothered to remember the names of his moons and that is 100% HIS fault!!!!
I feel absolutely sorry for the saturnian moons cuz Saturn has mistreated them for BILLIONS for years, he's known them for BILLIONS of years and not ONCE did he bother to learn their names!!
And the way the fandom treats him and his moons omfg!!!!! I hate it!!!! just because Saturn is emotional and the moons did rush, it does not mean doesn't mean Saturn is a "innocent pure baby that need to be pwotected from his evil moons 🥺🥺😡😡" nah nah nah SATURN HAS BASICALLY NEGLECTED THEM FOR BILLIONS OF YEARS, HE CARES FOR THEM AND ALSO DOES NOT CARE FOR THEM
The moons are NOT to blame, while yes they did rush thru introductions, Saturn could've taken notes or asked for a break. (like how surlynotaperson said)
I like Saturn and the saturnian moons, but ppl should look into things from the MOONS' prescriptive more, since the plot of the moon revolution of the show was that the moons were being mistreated. (And it's one of if not THE reason got more popular)
Rant over.
this is so so real
as much as i do talk about malicious saturn , all the characters are canonically morally grey and i wish people would get that sometimes!!!!
they have flaws, they arent always gonna be the best
"the moons are bad cause-" SHUUTT UPPP!!!! UR MISCHARTERIZEING THEM!!!
i understand having headcanons but some ppl gennuinely DESPISING the moons for being "mean and cruel" is just plain wrong 😭❗❗
