Funny thing is, there is a popular fan artist on here (identity withheld) that let me know she literally has this user blocked because they pull this shit all the time under "pjo" and "Annabeth" tags.

But you know what? All are blocked.

I'm going to be honest for a second. Cops in Florida do nothing for the mixed kids. Why does a white boy go around hitting a mixed kid (my little cousin) with a chain multiple times and saying and I quote "go back to the field n word with a hard r" have no consequences. Then when my cousin (the mixed kid) hits him back with a stick on the leg and he runs home to his mom she comes outside yelling. She then asked who is the black boy? Talking about my cousin. My aunt told me the cops would do nothing just like when a big group of white kids jumped my other cousin bc she was mixed. They did nothing then and when they came here they did nothing again. I hoped filing a complaint would help but it didn't. One of the officers was a black lady and that may not be significant but she asked why would we call? This is an emergency line. Maybe I'm being overdramatic but Florida cops help nothing. What do you guys think? Am I being overdramatic?

Also, this series is an adaptation of the Percy Jackson series not HOO... so try to find me a quote of annabeth complaining about her blonde insecurities in the original five books. And actually, can you find more than 2 quotes that mention it even in the HOO series, since it's apparently such an important plot point that it justifies 3 years of racial harassment to a 12 year old girl...

Also explain to me WHY she has to be blonde? WHY must she be blonde? ALL women are underestimated for their intelligence. By every metric, black girls are more underestimated for their intelligence than a blonde white girl could ever be... so why does her not being blonde, change that aspect of the character for you? quickly....

The way I know those PJO fans were lying about "we just want book accuracy" in regards to Leah's casting as Annabeth is bc they didn't complain nearly as much for anyone else in the cast

the hotd fandom’s reaction to gwayne hightower has been nothing short of baffling to me so far. it’s no secret that people’s love to hate criston cole has been prone to making them miss the point in a major way but this to me is kind of a new level. the idea that he is “slay” or “serving cunt” or even that he legitimately sees through criston and resents him for being a bad person is a stunning misinterpretation of what the show is obviously saying. which is that gwayne hightower is racist. he talks to criston that way because criston is brown. and poor.
