Warning- I made it angstyyy( I don't think this will have a part 2)❤❤
UP IN FLAMES-Kaz Brekker x reader
Being a Grisha in Ketterdam was difficult, being a grisha with anger issues was a bit worse, but being a grisha without proper control of their small science along with having anger issues was bad.
It didn't help matters that you were an inferni. and that you were currently dating Kaz Brekker for about a year and a half.
Kaz had recruited you because he needed an extra member in the Dregs and you had fit the bill, in fact, when he first recruited you, he had no idea that you were grisha. He found out when you saved his life one night by making kebabs out of a few thugs.
That was also the night you both started dating.
He knew you didn't use your powers much, and he didn't care. Honestly, he was relieved. You already attracted attention because you were dating him, he didn't want anymore of it.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*
Tonight was an important heist. The team had to steal an expensive necklace that could be sold for at least 100,000 kruge on the black market.
Kaz had this 'fool proof' plan. Jesper would be on lookout, while Inej, him and you broke into the mansion and scour the place for the necklace. Inej and Kaz knew the basic layout of the mansion and they need you to be their lookout.
" Why do I have to be on lookout? You and Inej are amazing at multi-tasking!" you asked incredously.
" Just because Y/n/n. and please, if we see a dog, don't go and pet it, last time you almost died." Kaz replied nonchalantly and kissed your forehead, walking towards the exit of the slat, " I have some work to do. I'll be back, get everyone ready by then."
So here you were, trudging behind them like a spoilt kid, one hand on your gun and the other ready to summon. Just in case.
Today was already a bad day, Kaz seemed distant for a while, spending more time planning with Inej, he always seemed to be going out, again with Inej. You saw a pattern and you were a little worried.
Another thing is that, you were pissed at everything today, you didn't know what was wrong, but sometimes, you flared up, and that was when the fire got a little out of control, forming into little balls and randomly shooting out and burning people.
That was the reason you didn't want to come today. True, you felt a little worried that Kaz and Inej were spending a lot of time together, you trusted them. Inej was your best friend, and Kaz didn't seem so worried when you hung out with Jesper or Rotty.
Here is how everything went to shit.
First, you got distracted by a puppy, you didn't go to it, but it just looked so cute that you couldn't help but stare at it. That resulted in all of you almost running into a guard, and Kaz got irritated and glared at you.
You, already irritated about everything accidently let out a small spark of fire, it didn't hurt anyone, but it startled Inej who almost tripped and fell flat on her face.
That is when shit hit the fan.
Two guards found all three of you and just managed to alert a few others before Inej killed them swiftly and quietly.
However, one of them managed to shoot you in the leg and that was when you lost it.
You let a scream and the fire came.
What was dangerous is that, sometimes, the fire formed the image of a lion and it made grown-men pee themselves and die of shock.
That was what happened today, you screamed and it came.
(honestly tho, that is so cool! This image is not mine, i found it on google, if you know who's this is, please lemme know so I can give credit)
It growled and paced towards the guards, who were frozen in fear, snarling and burning everything in it's way.
Kaz and Inej stared at you, Inej in fear and awe and Kaz in worry and anger, because you were on fire. Literally.
By the time the lion managed to get to the guards, they were dead anyway and it was gone.
Kaz and Inej looked at you, you were covered in sweat and ashes, and the mansion was burning, along with the necklace.
You all ran back the way you came and almost made it, but you turned around, much to Kaz's dismay and irritation.
You had gone to rescue the puppy.
As ran out with it, the mother running behind you, Kaz glared at you and you avoided looking at him.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
On the way back to the Slat, Kaz was livid, the heist was a bust, the mansion was crawling with Stadwatch and you were shot in the leg, and carrying a puppy.
Jesper took the puppy and it's mother from you, and headed to his room, Inej went tothe Crow Club for a drink and Kaz literally stomped his way up to his office.
After a few minutes of pep talk you headed to his office and knocked.
" Come in." Kaz's gruff voice was heard. You walked in and closed the door immediately and apologised.
" I'm sorry Kaz."
" Oh what for? After all, you just botched the whole job, almost killed Inej, me and yourself, burnt the mansion, along with the necklace and you almost killed yourself going back to rescue puppies! Nothing to be sorry for right?" he said sarcastically.
" I know I ruined the job, but I'm not going to apologize for rescuing the dogs!" you argued, your anger slowly rising.
" If you weren't so distracted, none of this would have happened!" he rose from his desk.
" You think I don't know that? Of course I do! And I'm feeling damn guilty about it!" you shouted, fire swirling from your finger tips, and your eyes going red.
" WHY CAN'T YOU BE MORE LIKE INEJ!?" he screamed.
That was it. You immediately froze. Your eyes going back to normal and the fire disappearing.
" What?" you whispered.
Kaz realized what he just said and his eyes widened, " Darling-"
" No no!" you interrupted, eyes glossy, " I get it, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm not like Inej. I'm sorry I'm not perfect. I'm sorry for being myself."
" Y/n I didn't mean what I-"
" No!", you let out a sad chuckle, " you know for once in my life, I thought I found someone who loved me despite my flaws."
"I do! I do love you!" he walked towards you.
You shook your head, wrapping your arms around yourself, tears falling from your eyes, you looked him in the eye.
" I guess I was wrong." you walked out and slammed the door shut.

Chapter 2
A groan left your lips. You were so sore. Who knew that gardening could make someone so sore? Your legs and forearms ached from digging, weeding, and kneeling in the dirt. But the payoff had been near instantaneous. Your little front yard garden was so cute. Time would tell if it would thrive. For now, it was just what you wanted. It was welcoming, and warm; evidence that a new person lived in the house.
“Just gotta keep my flower children from dying.” You mumbled out loud against your pillow. It took great effort to turn your head and face the light shining through your blinds. It was early again. It was shocking you hadn’t been sleeping in late given how busy you were. It was safe to assume it was the excited jitters that came with being a new homeowner. Each day brought a new project. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath through your nose, willing yourself to settle your thoughts before they started to list all the things you wanted to do to your house. For now, you settled on nurturing your flower children.
Good ‘ol Google had informed you that you should water your plants every day when you first put them in the ground to get them used to their new home. After that you could settle on a watering routine.
You pushed one foot out of bed, testing the air with your toes like you would a pool, and then groaned, pulling your foot back under the warm safety of the blanket. For a moment you contemplated going back to sleep, but vanquished the idea when the morning sun assaulted your eyes again.
With a determined huff, you threw the covers from your body, taking the plunge into the day. It took you a moment of stretching to drag yourself over to your dresser and throw some clothes on the bed. Something comfortable. You weren’t planning to go out anywhere today, just outside for as long as it took to water your front yard, then you would likely retreat to the comfort of your home. You had a few more boxes to unpack anyway.
After you slipped your clothes on, you made your way down the stairs to your kitchen, petite—but still bigger than your previous. It was the perfect size for a single occupant. In spite of not being hungry in the morning, you forced yourself to make breakfast, hoping the smell of scrambled eggs would coax you into eating by the time it was done. You often skipped out on meals, which was a problem. Perhaps it was one of the reasons for your thickness. Skipping meals could be just as bad as overeating, forcing your body to unhealthily accommodate for the bad habits. It could also be a trigger for overeating later in the day. One of your goals of a new home was to adopt a routine, which included eating regularly.
You spooned your meal onto your plate, adding some toast to it as you made your way to the window of the living room that overlooked your front yard. You yanked open the blinds, eyeing your garden as you lifted toast to your mouth and took a bite. Thankfully, the new plants hadn’t spontaneously combusted in the night. Something you assumed happened if you didn’t have a green thumb.
Noticing movement from the corner of your eye, you turned your head, seeing your neighbor getting into a clean, and rather new looking, truck in an army green color. Mike must have been going to work. You smiled, resisting the urge to wave. He probably wouldn’t have seen you anyway. Moving back to the kitchen table, you sat down to eat your breakfast before placing your dishes in the sink, opting to scrub them later. For now, you’d let them soak. Did they need to soak? No. But letting them soak gave you an excuse to avoid doing them for a few hours until they stared you down later.
Slipping on your shoes, you walked outside and unwrapped the hose from its coil, turning on the spray and providing your plants with much needed sustenance. You started with your potted plants, being reserved with the amount of water you gave your succulents before making your way down the stretch of dirt to the north of your lawn that your new shrubs and flowers called home. You watered your shrubs generously, pausing as you reach your pansies. You glared down at them, some of the flowers had actually had the audacity to wilt slightly. Giving a huff, you changed the function of your hose nozzle, making the flow far gentler as you crouched to examine them more closely.
“If you could not do that, that would be great.” You mumbled at the ungrateful cluster of flowers, eyeing a particularly sad looking petal.
“Flowers being disobedient?” You flinched at the smooth voice and stood right up, turning around quickly. If you hose had been on a higher function you would have sprayed the source. Opting not to take any chances, you quickly moved to stop the flow of water with the switch on the attachment.
You weren’t adequately prepared for what greeted you when you leveled your gaze on the source of the voice. Though after yesterday, maybe you really shouldn’t have been all that surprised. This man was nearly as tall, though not as brawny as your new acquaintance Mike. He had golden hair the color of wheat, and eyes that put oceans to shame under a pair of thick brows. You swallowed, taking note of his jawline and the expanse of his fit torso which was snuggly clad in a white button down. You didn’t realize you could hold contempt for a shirt—but with the sleeves rolled up a pair of strong forearms, it was clear the shirt was hiding impressive goods.
Damn every man in this neighborhood must have been a stud. You weren’t particularly religious, but you felt the urge to praise god for the blessing.
Though he’d probably just strike your down for the unholy thoughts going through your head.
The clearing of a throat brought your eyes back up to the blond man’s face where a smile sat, not the smirk you’d expected from your obvious ogling. “I’m Erwin Smith. I’m your neighbor.”
“Ah, sorry!” you said quickly, setting the hose down by your tennis shoe clad feet. You wiped your palm as discreetly as you could over your thigh to clear it of moisture from the hose and extended it to him. “Nice to meet you, I’m [y/n].” This hand was soft, but all consuming as Mike’s had been.
Mike.
You suddenly remembered, stopping your handshake abruptly to point to what you assumed was the man’s house. “You’re Mike’s boyfriend?” You probably shouldn’t have blurted that; in case you were wrong. After all, Della had made assumptions about you and Sasha the day you’d moved in. But the stranger, Erwin, only tilted his head and chuckled. “Did he mention me? All good things I hope.” His tone was deceptively casual.
“Uh, no,” you mumbled in embarrassment, clearing your own throat this time as a blush rose to your cheeks. “Della told me there was a couple next door.”
Erwin hummed, a deep and satisfying sound, and nodded his head, though in the next breath he’d seamlessly dodged the question. “Della is such a kind woman. Did she bake for you?”
You smiled brightly, remembering the cookies, and not noticing his lack of confirmation. You’d already drawn your conclusions. “Yeah, the cookies were amazing. I’ve got a theory that she’s a witch.” Oops, word vomit. You were worried that male wouldn’t understand you were joking, but he laughed—to your relief.
“When we moved in, she made a cake.” He leaned in closer to you, his voice just above a whisper, “She might be looking to fatten us up and eat us, so be on guard.”
This pulled a giggle from you, and oh what a pleasant sound to Erwin’s ears, “If Hansel and Gretel could handle it, I think we’ll be okay.” The scent of Erwin’s cologne filled your nose, musk and mahogany flooding your senses and the hint of something else too. Ink maybe.
“I sure hope so,” Erwin leaned back, out of your space, “I would hate to lose our new neighbor so soon.”
Biting your lower lip, you took in air that wasn’t saturated with the blonde’s heady scent.
“Yeah, who would care for my flower children if I died so soon?” You teased, gesturing behind you to the new plants which for the most part looked healthy in spite of the stubborn pansies which seemed hell bent on making your life a little more difficult. The last thing you needed to worry about where flowers. Though your anxiety was probably delighted to have yet another thing to obsess over.
You compared your anxiety to a super villain—someone lingering in the shadows and waiting for the smallest display of weakness through your progress—poised to strike.
Erwin’s blue eyes slid over the greenery before looking up at you. “We’d adopt them for you. No need to worry.” You looked over to Erwin’s home where the lovely magnolia tree grew. Their garden didn’t have as many plants with flowers, but what plants were there were clearly well taken care of. It was mostly green, though the magnolia tree added the perfect little pop of color to an otherwise verdant front yard. “At least I know they’d be going to a good home.”
The male chuckled, a sound that hummed from deep in that fit chest. “Can’t take all the credit. Mike takes care of the yard occasionally, but we leave most of it to the gardener.”
Of course, they would have a gardener. Their house was large and immaculate, and in addition to Mike’s well-maintained truck, it was hard to miss the Mercedes currently parked in the driveway. Clearly Mike and Erwin had well-paying jobs. “A plant nanny.” You deadpanned, earning another chuckle from Erwin who’s smile turned fond.
“We’d love to have you over for dinner. We’d like to properly welcome you to the neighborhood.”
You were taken aback for a moment, anxiety flooding your stomach on instinct. The thoughts were instantaneous. ‘What if I make a fool of myself?’, ‘What if I spill a drink?’, ‘What if I eat too much in front of them?’, ‘What if I say something wrong?’, ‘What if—’
A deep breath through your nose.
A subtle exhale from your mouth.
The thoughts were quieted.
Another deep breath through your nose.
Another subtle exhale from your mouth.
Your heart rate significantly lowered.
“I’d like that very much.” You answered before your thoughts could creep in again and dispel your nerve.
You weren’t going to let your anxiety keep you from experiences, especially making friends with your neighbors. You knew if you stopped to think on it deeply you would psych yourself out with overthinking the kind offer and ultimately decline. Best not to let your anxiety or self-consciousness rule your decisions. Therapy had taught you that.
Erwin looked pleased with your answer, his smile touching his blue eyes.
“Wonderful,” he purred, reaching into the pocket of his black slacks to hand you his phone, “Put your number in, if you wouldn’t mind,” he added the last bit to make it less of a command and more of a suggestion, “I’ll text you a date.” You smiled and tapped your name and number into the contacts of his phone, adding a flower emoji just as a playful wink to your conversation before handing the cellphone back to his waiting hand. “Sounds good.”
The male’s smile didn’t fade as he slipped the phone back in his pocket. “I’ll text you later.” He promised, making you return his smile. Though that should have triggered a bit more nervousness, anticipating a text, instead it just put little butterflies in your stomach. Yeah, he was gay—and taken, you reminded yourself again—but you could have attractive friends that were nice to look at. You were allowed to get excited over a little dinner date, no matter how platonic.
As Erwin moved in the direction of his Mercedes, he looked over his shoulder at you. “Don’t be too hard on your flowers,” he fished out his key fob, clicking the button to unlock his car, “It can be hard adapting to a new home.”
Smiling, you leaned down and picked up the hose, clicking the water back on and misting it gently over the pansies once again for good measure, hoping to perk up the wilting petals. “It helps to have someone to pamper you though.” You mumbled absentmindedly, earning a little glance from Erwin before the blond got into his car and sped off down the road.
-
You thought you had made yourself perfectly clear to yourself that the backyard was not a priority. But after unpacking a few more boxes of miscellaneous objects late into the afternoon, it just seemed to call to you.
You stood at your sink in your kitchen, looking out into the yard from the window as you nibbled on a bite of your lazily made sandwich. Your small kitchen table had already been set up so it’s not like you had to stand to eat any of your meals, but it seemed even when eating you had to pace. You blamed the new environment. It would take time to get comfortable, just like Erwin had said about your flowers. Even though you were excited and loved your new home, it was taking your time to adjust.
Your eyes narrowed as you looked over the yard, as though you were trying to imagine it looking differently than it currently did. You had a rather vivid imagination, you read quite a bit after all, but when it came to mental landscaping you were coming up short. The only reason you were able to spruce up your front yard without much deep consideration was because there was a plot of dirt already prime for flowers. It just lacked anything in it. Picking some things to fill the void hadn’t required a great deal of mental fortitude. The backyard was different.
It wasn’t exactly a mess, but it wasn’t a marvel either. It was a blank canvas of untapped potential—and weeds. A slightly overgrown lawn, lack of any interesting plant life, and boarder of dirt that was begging for flowers much as the front yard had. But you weren’t ready for the amount of plant life the backyard could hold. Being a new plant mother, you needed time to hone your skills. The front yard was plenty for now.
Even so, you couldn’t keep yourself from glaring at the backyard. Maybe it was because it glared back at you from every window. You wanted to look outside and see something pleasing to the eye. Why did hyper fixation always go hand-in-hand with anxiety? You tapped your foot against the floor and chewed your food, willing the nervous energy to dispel.
Fuck it.
You could pluck the weeds.
That might help until you could really bring yourself to get into the project that it would someday be. Besides, you should really keep up on the yard even before fixing it so that it wasn’t more of a hassle in the long run. Weeding it would be a good start, and it might make looking through your windows a bit less bothersome.
You placed your crumb covered plate into the sink and made your way through the sliding glass door to the backyard, taking a little detour to drag the green’s can from the side yard so you would have somewhere to put the weeds after you ripped their stubborn carcasses from the ground.
The poor bastards had no idea what was coming.
Taking a look around you, you once again crinkled your nose in contemplation. At least the lawn was mostly green. It didn’t look as though the previous owner had used the yard for storage or trash. It really didn’t look like the previous owner had used it for much of anything. They clearly couldn’t have been bothered to do much more than turn on the sprinklers, just like the front yard. You narrowed your eyes and scanned the environment, once again trying to channel your creative side. All you could think about were plants for the most part. You weren’t even all that plant crazy until recently. It was just the first thing that came to mind when you thought of the outdoors. You huffed through your nose. Maybe a deck at some point? That would cost money. You sure as hell were not going to build one yourself. IKEA furniture was the extent of your carpentry skills. At least the fence looked pretty good, spare for a hole like crack in one of the planks on the left side of the wall. That should be easy enough to fix. Surely it wouldn’t require the establishment of a whole new fence so at least you’d save some money there.
You gave up your attempt at visualization to pull your gardening gloves onto your hands. You’d take to some online forums for backyard ideas when the time was right. You had to remind yourself that right now you were just focusing on battling the weeds.
You tried to go at it methodically, you really did. You were going to start at one end of the yard and make your way to the other. But each time you bent down to pluck one weed you’d see a huge one from the corner of your eye at the other end of the yard that would distract you. You’d pluck that one, then there would be another at the side of the yard you’d just came from so you’d have to go back again. Pretty soon you were just hopping from whatever weed assaulted your eyes to the next, which mainly consisted of the big ones that had no right existing in the first place.
You were going to kick yourself later when you had to revert back to your original method of going from one end of the yard to the other when it came time to sift through the smaller weeds—but for now the satisfaction that came from yanking the big suckers out of the earth gave you too much momentary euphoria to care. That would be a problem for your future self.
For now, your newest target was spotted. A huge weed growing along the fence line. The number of squats you were inadvertently doing in your quest to de-weed the yard was going to hurt you tomorrow. It was kind of hurting you now. Turning your legs to Jell-O. But you were determined to vanquish every form of unsavory vegetation before sunset. You’d use tomorrow as a day of rest if it came to that.
It was probably going to come to that. Gardening was proving to be a workout in itself.
Pulling yourself to standing, you walked over to the weed by the fence and crouched down, gripping it and giving a firm tug around the stock. But the titan weed hardly budged. You arched a brow and wrapped your other hand around it, tugging once more. You swore the weed pulled back as you rocked on your heels. Frustrated, you sat yourself on your knees and leaned back, trying to use your body weight to get the massive bulb from the earth with a grunt.
At least, you thought you grunted.
Wait that wasn’t you.
You paused; your hands still wrapped around the weed as you stayed frozen in mid tug.
There was another grunt in a masculine tone— which most certainly did not come from you.
“Goddamn it…” The voice was deep, dripping with a sort of smooth roughness that was a complete contradiction that only made sense from hearing it firsthand. It was the sort of tone that held an edge in any words that came from it. In spite of it coming from the direction of your neighbor’s yard, it was not a voice you’d heard before. You were sure you would have remembered it.
“Erwin—fuck!” There it was again.
“Shh…” That second voice you thought you recognized. Finally, your head darted up from your place on your knees out of instinct. You were eye level with the rough hole in the plank you’d noticed earlier that exposed your neighbor’s yard.
And much more than that.
From your viewpoint you could see the edge of a pool, lush plants, a deck further back—but the lovely yard wasn’t what pulled your attention. What pulled your attention was two people on a lounge chair, one propped up by the lifted back, the other straddling across strong hips.
The person sitting back on the lounge was obviously Erwin, naked as the day he was born in the late afternoon sun. Your assumption had been right about his torso. It was in fact sculpted by the hands of god, all firm muscle and definition. You could vaguely make out light traces of hair on it from your distance, what little there was must have been as blond as he was.
However, this isn’t what struck you the most about what you were seeing. Though it was a sight to behold. What struck you the most was that the person in his lap—
Was not Mike.
Your lips parted in a silent gasp, lashes fluttering as if you could wash the other figure away and replace it with Mike. But the person on Erwin’s lap couldn’t be more different and there was no way in hell to confuse the two even with the most vivid of imaginations.
He was smaller, clearly shorter, with a body that was muscular on its own but far more lithe than the bulkier form of Mike. It was hard to see his face at the angle you were given. The lounge was not exactly parallel to the break in the fence, giving an angle that displayed a view of the sinewy back of the stranger, as well as their stark black hair, but no hint to their face in the slightest. But you could see Erwin’s, twisted in pleasure, and even at a distance it was obvious what was taking place.
Swallowing thickly, your eyes drifted down the stranger’s back to a pert round ass currently stuffed with Erwin—which from what little you could see not buried inside, was not an easy adjustment.
“Fuck me harder.” Came that deep voice once again, a commanding growl for more as his hips rolled down on the intruding length.
Erwin grunted, his fingers digging into the man’s waist in a white-knuckle grip as he bucked himself up, thrusting himself into the ravenette. “Beg for it then.” He bit back in a grunt, it seemed to be taking a great deal of effort to keep from fulfilling the request, if his clenching palms and strained voice were anything to go by.
The man on top of Erwin scoffed, lifting his body and sitting himself right back down on his lap, forcing the cock deep inside him before rocking his hips forward and back, pulling a moan from Erwin. “When have I ever begged?” His tone was deceptively even for what he was doing— as if taking that massive length was the easiest thing in the world. Perhaps something he did regularly.
You weren’t so sure you would be able to keep an even tone had you been in the raven’s place even if it had been the hundredth time.
A smirk played on the blonde’s lips, “First time for everything.” You thought you heard, but the voice was quiet, perhaps suddenly conscious that they were outside.
Pale fingers slid up the plains of Erwin’s chest to coil around his neck. “I’ll take it myself.” The black-haired male growled, steadying himself on his knees before he started to bounce on the cock inside him. He pulled himself up, nearly taking the shaft out of his hole before slamming himself back down, muted moans pulling from him each time he forced himself down on the lap with a lewd slapping of skin.
It was at that moment that the weed in your hand snapped, sending you backwards with a yelp. You’d lost your balance, your butt making contact with the soles of your shoes as you plopped down completely on your knees from your previously raised position on them. Ditching the weed, you crawled away from the hole in a panic and covered your mouth with your hand as though you could turn back time and capture the yelp that was already in the air.
It wasn’t until you were a good seven feet from the fence that you allowed yourself to listen for any sound. There was silence for a long while other than your rapidly thumping heart under your palm while you attempted to keep it in your chest. It was only when you heard the faint and distant sound of skin on skin, a sound you’d only hear if you’d known to listen for it, that you allowed yourself to breath. You pulled your mouth shut, not realizing how long it’d been hanging open. You’d probably swallowed a bug or two in your stupor. You couldn’t be sure.
Feeling your pulse throb between your legs, you whined softly, squeezing your thighs together and biting your bottom lip as guilt washed over you. The guilt was rather misdirected, at least it should have been. But you’d felt it for a variety of reasons. The hallow yet heavy sensation sat deep in your chest. You’d peeped on your neighbor, accident or not, a total invasion of privacy. What made it worse was the wetness steadily forming at your core. You’d peeped like a horny teenager and gotten turned on by it.
If the guild from that wasn’t enough—you’d gotten turned on, meanwhile Mike was being cheated on.
That last part stung the most.
Erwin was cheating on Mike.
-
You paced back and forth in your living room, the tip of your thumb in your lips so you could bite at your nail—a habit you’d thought you’d long since kicked.
How on how on earth were you going to tell Mike that he was being cheated on? Should you tell him at all? Was it really your place?
These where the questions stirring in your mind as you paced. If you continued to traverse one end of your living room to the other, you would likely ware a rut in your flooring.
Plucking your thumb from your mouth, you stilled your feet and pulled your phone from the pocket of your leggings, tapping away on the technological rectangle to bring up Sasha’s number. It was times like this where you needed to get out of your head. So, in these moments you often talked out your thoughts with Sasha. It was the only way to get out of the infinite circle your pondering often became.
‘If you were being cheated on, would you want someone to tell you?’
It wasn’t ten seconds after you sent the text than those little ellipsis came on the screen to indicate your friend was already typing out a reply.
‘What do you know?’
You brought up the keyboard of your phone to explain, but another message quickly followed.
‘Is Connie cheating on me?’
‘I’m gonna serve him in the burgers.’
‘I’m Sweeney Todd-ing this bitch.’
You had to type faster to cut her off. Maybe starting the message like that hadn’t been your wisest move.
‘No!’
‘No!’
You sent the message twice when you saw the ellipsis raise on your screen again, being sure she saw your reply so you could clearly explain.
‘Not you or Connie! I’m talking about my neighbors.’
‘Oh’.
She wrote back, a momentary pause before adding,
‘Don’t tell Connie about me making him into burgers.’
This pulled a smile from you and curbed your anxiety, allowing your heart to still. Leave it to Sasha to calm your nerves with her naturally comedic personality.
‘Anyway, what happened?’
Well that calm was short lived. You remained standing in case you had to get the nervous energy out by pacing again.
‘I met the neighbors. The ones Della told us about when we were moving me in, remember?’
It only took a second for Sasha to text back—she was fast with her fingers even though she had had the same shitty phone for close to 3 years. Only shitty because of the cracked screen that she had more than enough money to fix, but always complained if she got a new one, she would just drop it anyway. You were fairly sure the phone also had a little dent in it, she said it added character.
‘Yeah.’
‘They hot?’
‘Ridiculously.’
‘Niiice.’
You typed hastily to try and stay on topic.
‘Their names are Mike and Erwin.’
‘And they’re hot.’
You snorted but continued typing, trying not to let your thoughts linger on how attractive both the men were. That wasn’t was the discussion was about. You cut to the chase.
‘I accidentally saw Erwin having sex with someone that was NOT Mike.’
The reply actually took a full minute, though it wasn’t long, an indicator that Sasha had probably typed a few different replies but deleted them until settling on what it was she did send.
‘How did you ACCIDENTALLY see that?’
You could hear the accusatory tone through the little blue bubble that held her words.
‘I was in the backyard and I heard a sound and I ACCIDENTALLY looked through a hole in the fence.’
Reading that back—it really did sound like you were some kind of voyeur.
‘It really was an accident. I was weeding.’
These excuses were completely pitiful, and you were the one writing them.
‘So did you accidentally get a good look at who he was screwing?’
‘I only saw his back.’
It was only half a lie. You saw his strong back, his black hair, and an amazing ass.
‘Was he hot?’
Maybe texting Sasha wasn’t as productive as you originally thought.
‘It was a very nice back.’
An understatement if there ever was one. You hastily added to the message.
‘But that’s not the point. It wasn’t Mike. Now I don’t know if I should tell Mike or if I should just mind my business.’
On the one hand, you wanted to have a good relationship with your neighbors, and who they were and were not sleeping with was not something you should be concerning yourself with. Injecting yourself into their love life was something you didn’t feel you had the right to do, especially because you hardly knew the two of them.
On the other hand, you thought about how much it hurt to be cheated on. You imagined Mike, blissfully unaware that the love of his life was sleeping with someone else in their own home and it made your heart sink into the pit of your stomach. You ached for him
‘Are you 100% sure that you saw what you think you saw?’
Taking a moment to recall the memory, a blush creeped up your neck and right up to your face. You shook you head to will the images away, once again ashamed of the heat it stirred between your legs.
‘Yeah. It was clear.’
There was no way to mistake what you saw. They weren’t nude sunbathing, they weren’t naked cuddling, and there was no way the other guy just fell on Erwin’s dick.
This time it took Sasha more than two minutes to answer. She must have been thinking. Maybe even asking Connie what he thought. You hopped not. Connie and Sasha may not have known your neighbors, but you also didn’t want to gossip about them. You honestly just needed your friend’s advice on a difficult situation. One that you’d put your own damn self in.
‘That’s hard. I mean you don’t really know them well enough to say anything, ya know?’
That was something you wrestled with. It would be different if this were a friend who you were close with. It wouldn’t even be a debate if it were someone you knew well, like Sasha. You would tell them in a heartbeat because not telling them would likely have greater consequences. But when it came to Mike and Erwin, you didn’t know them. Again, you reminded yourself that it wasn’t your place.
But if you did form a friendship with them, would you be more obligated to tell Mike? You imagined having a friendship with the men and all the while harboring this dark secret.
There you went again, 100 miles ahead of present.
You chewed your thumb nail again, not noticing that you had once again began to pace.
You must have been taking too long to respond, because another text from Sasha lit up your phone.
‘Who do you think he was banging?’
‘Dunno. They do have a gardener.’
Your reply was meant to be sarcastic. How were you supposed to know? You didn’t know a thing about the guys next door other than they were both attractive and that one was a cheater.
Actually, you were relatively certain that Erwin wasn’t banging the gardener. That man on top of Erwin was too pale to see the sun on a regular basis.
A vibration in your hand made you lift your phone again, expecting another text from Sasha, only to see a message from an unknown number. Your brows knitted together as your finger pressed against the notification, pulling up the text.
‘Hello, [y/n]. It’s Erwin. If you’re available, we’d like to have you over for dinner tomorrow night.’
These guys didn’t waste any time. You’d be thankful about not having to cook if you weren’t harboring a secret about your inviter. You stared at the message, kicking yourself for opening it because Erwin would likely have an alert on his end that said the text had been read. He’d be expecting a reply.
It wasn’t as though you could lie and tell him you wouldn’t be home. That avoidance strategy wouldn’t work with someone who could just peek outside and see if your car were in the driveway. Hiding your car in the garage wouldn’t work when it was still a mess of packed and unpacked boxes you had yet to either toss or organize. Honestly, you weren’t about to be up all night clearing it just to avoid your neighbors. You answered before you had more time to mull it over.
‘That sounds great, I look forward to seeing you.’
Was that too formal? You added the number as a new contact before you could hyper analyze your own words. It was tempting to place the number under the name ‘adulterer’, but you thought better of it. You were just being petty about a matter that you shouldn’t be so invested in. You were going to have dinner with your neighbors and completely forget about what you saw—for your own sanity. You weren’t about to let self-imposed guilt eat you up inside. Though this wouldn’t be the first time.
“Not my circus, not my monkeys.” You muttered to yourself, a little mantra you used to say when reminding yourself that something, often some sort of drama, wasn’t your business to involve yourself in or to be dragged into.
Instead, you opted for continuing your conversation with Sasha, steering it toward any other subject possible. By the grace of god, she started asking you about your move and how you were enjoying your new house. Your friend always knew how to distract you. Maybe she felt your nerves through the phone.
She’d known you early in your journey through therapy and knew when you needed to talk and when you needed to be distracted. Sometimes she knew it before you did.
Counting and colors could only go so far. Sometimes a friend was the best grounding tool.
To bad you couldn’t bring her to dinner tomorrow.
You’d be on your own for that.

have you seen/would u recommend pacific rim 2? ive heard some things about newt and idk lol
I feel like Im in the minority that actually did think pru was fun but that being said it ended SO abruptly and with like three separate plotlines completely abandoned that I was really frustrated for days after watching it until I had processed everything and had time to think deeply about it lol it just seemed rly unfinished?? it feels like it was deliberately made as 1/2 of two sequels and there needs to be one more to tie everything up. actually I’m gonna ramble abt this bc I have a lot of thoughts (obvs spoilers under the cut)
the thing about the second one was that I genuinely was enjoying it right up until it ended because I swear to god the moment the end screen went up I yelled "what the fuck, that's it?" out loud into my bedroom bc I was so SHOCKED that THAT'S how it all ended, because it just seemed so incomplete?? Like it seemed like one half of a story, that will only be made whole if there's a third one to tie up all the plotlines that they didn't go through with in the second and if that's the case then I will be completely fine with it but if it doesn't or if they dont have a third one at all I will stay so frustrated lol. one silver lining to this is that the vibe of this movie was so different from the first that it almost feels easy to separate it and just imagine it as an AU if you prefer which is sort of nice; usually if a piece of media I like does something bad I feel all gutted and anxious and terrible that this is the canon I have to accept, but something abt this movie just made it feel like it was sort of a totally separate deal. maybe cuz only 3 of the original characters were in it idk
to start off: I felt like there were a couple of plotlines in it that were just sort of introduced and then never seen through which was very ????? Amara & Vik's weird hate-rivalry thing was one of them; Vik instantly has it out for Amara bc she’s jealous, which is a very interesting concept, and then this prompts Amara to become hostile right back at her, which is also a very interesting concept, and then it never got resolved at all? like they couldve done something really cool with those two but it just never went anywhere. and then there was sort of a weird love triangle thing happening between Jake and Nate and Jules that felt so weird bc it had no significance to the plot at all and it felt like it was only thrown in there for the sake of having ~romantic drama~ idk maybe I wasnt paying too much attention and there was more to it than that but it really just seemed like they wanted to put romance in there and didnt want to bother to put any work into it
BUT the thing about romantic sub plots is that THERE ALREADY WAAAAS OOOOOOOOONE which brings me to the biggest frustration I have w this movie because--and DISCLAIMER, this was also my favourite plot point of the movie bc it was by far the most interesting, the biggest reason for me enjoying the movie at all, and the bit I feel like should have had WAY more attention--Newt and Hermann were like legitimately in love in this movie I swear to god I was watching it and thinking “this is GENUINELY the most blatantly gay thing I’ve ever seen in a feature film and I know that straight ppl are very talented at writing gay romances completely by accident so it’s possible that they just accidentally did it this way but also it is REALLY goddamn obvious oh my gooood?” (and then I did a lot of frantic googling and found out that I was right and Charlie Day & Burn Gorman knew what the fuck they were doing and I felt so validated lol), and yet despite this, the movie had them speak for the last time almost at the halfway point of the film and then spend the entire second half apart and not talking at all and even at the post-credits scene where Jake and Newt talked for a bit Hermann wasn't there?? not even behind Jake to give Newt any searching glances?? Nothing??
dude...Newt being possessed by the precursors is a HUGELY interesting concept that actually makes sense and I wish it had had more attention. I’ve seen a lot of ppl say that pru butchered Newt’s character and I don’t 100% agree bc like...being possessed will change you lmao so while yes I’m obviously sad that he wasn’t himself, I feel like it made sense that he had a slight personality change, because it...wasn’t him anymore. we don’t really see the Newt we all fell in love with in the first movie. we THINK we’re seeing him, but halfway through we find out we’re wrong.
my critiques with that plotline are basically that I wish the reveal had happened a little bit later on, and I wish that it had been a little more obvious I guess?? like, we definitely get hints of it (when Hermann excitedly asks Newt to help him with a dangerous unorthodox project and Newt says “dude why are you doing something so risky when we’ve already got a good plan in motion? just wait for that to be done, it’s fine” and Hermann IS us, he IS the audience when he reacts, because this is a completely insane thing for Newt to say. Newt, who, in the first movie, was so obsessed with finding knowledge that he went behind the marshall’s back to literally risk his life doing something incredibly dangerous just to see what would happen? being given the opportunity to do the same kind of dangerous frivolous act and refusing? this is blatantly out of character, and Hermann is all of us when he’s shocked, “what, you mean you...won’t help me??” which means it wasn’t bad writing on their part, it was purposefully supposed to stand out as something that was wrong and something that we needed to pay attention to. that was a really good scene to hint that something was Not Right with Newt), and I wish there had been a bunch more like it. I think the reveal should have been saved for the end of the second act; I think that should have been the moment that act 2 of a story usually has, that dreadful event that happens that leaves the main characters feeling completely hopeless and unsure what to do.
I also wish that he had managed to break through more than That One Scene, I think it would’ve been more dramatic if he’d had a few moments where he managed to take control for a second to remind us that he’s still in there and still fighting, and I’m sad they didn’t do that. I saw a fan comic that touched on this idea and I think it’s brilliant, even the idea of him suddenly getting a nosebleed and acting distracted to show that that’s the Real Him trying to fight through would have been sooooooooo good.
I also feel like it didn’t make any sense for Nate to be the one to subdue him in the end, I dont even think those two interact at all so like, why was it him?? it would have been so much more dramatic and heartbreaking if Hermann had been the one to confront him so they could’ve had a little conversation on the roof where Newt could once again break through for a second before getting taken over and then Hermann could like idk have a taser hidden behind him that he uses to subdue him and THAT wouldve been a way sadder and more interesting way to do it. I also think Hermann shouldve been the one to speak to him in the post credits scene, or to have him in the background behind Jake just watching him sadly so we can get a couple shots of intense eye contact like UGH I just wish there had been more interaction between the two of them after the reveal happened!! When the movie was over and I realized they never spoke again I felt so upset!!! they're soulmates!! they're literally in love!! this has been CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and segueing in from the soulmate thing, another thing that made me sad was that nobody came in pairs anymore :( aside from Newt and Hermann, they were the only ones gjdfk but in the first one every character had another character that they were paired up with, both for drifting reasons and just for plot reasons (except Chau and Tendo but I’m pretty sure there's actually significance to that too), and in the second one it just sort of felt like everyone was drifting with each other with no strong connection needed and that made it feel way less special. granted, the movie takes place ten years after the first one so in that time maybe technology advanced to the point where you didn't need a strong neural connection to drift anymore, but for the sake of the story it would have been way better if they'd kept the whole soulmates concept from the first one, it made it way stronger and more special
so yeah in conclusion I did think pru was enjoyable and I probably would watch it again some time but also it definitely pales in comparison to the first one and I’m desperately hoping we get one more so they can tie everything together and FIX THINGS KFGH it’s not too late!!!!! I wish I could write Pacific Rim 3 I genuinely think I would do a good job I love storytelling and I’m very passionate about these characters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#ramblings#Anonymous#ask#this is really long but please interact I've been dying to talk about this for weeks now

Best Web Hosting Services in 2021: Bluhost vs Hostinger
If you're looking for a cheap but trustworthy web host, Bluehost and Hostinger are likely to have attracted your attention. Both of these entry-level providers offer a variety of hosting plans, features, and functionality at affordable costs, making them excellent choices for small blogs and businesses.
In this Hostinger vs Bluehost comparison, we'll look at features, price, simplicity of use, support, and performance to see how these two budget hosts compare. You should have a solid notion of which hosting company is the greatest fit for your project by the conclusion of this article. Let's get started…
Bluehost vs Hostinger: Features Bluehost and Hostinger both provide a variety of hosting options and packages. Among them are:
Hosting on a shared server
Hosting for WordPress
Hosting for e-commerce (Hostinger Only)
Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting
Hosting on a dedicated server (Bluehost Only)
In this post, we'll evaluate the features, price, and other aspects of each hosting companies shared hosting plans. Let's get started.
Bluehost shared hosting
Bluehost shared hosting plans come with a slew of useful tools and features. These plans are designed for webmasters who are starting or operating small to medium-sized blogs and websites:
Unlimited websites and storage (not available on the low-tier Basic plan)
Un-metered bandwidth
Free domain (for the first year)
One-click WordPress installation
Free SSL certificate (Let’s Encrypt)
Easy WordPress staging sites
$200 Marketing Credits with Google Ads and Bing Ads
Bluehost's Shared plans have a lot to offer. It's especially worth noting that all plans provide 'unlimited resources' (other than the low-tier Basic package). This plan offers unlimited websites, storage, and bandwidth, making it excellent for multi-site hosting.
So, how do Bluehost's features stack up against Hostinger's?
Hostinger shared plans
Hostinger’s shared plans are a little cheaper than the Bluehost packages (we will cover pricing further on in this article). However, this is reflected in the features provided – if you want a plan with similar features to those offered by Bluehost then you will need to opt for the top-tier Hostinger WordPress plan:
99.9% uptime guarantee
Free site migration (Bluehost does not offer free migrations)
Free domain
Unlimited bandwidth (excluding the low-tier Single plan)
One-click WordPress install
Daily backups
Free SSL (on the top-tier Business plan)
The 99.9% uptime guarantee and the free site migration service are the actual outstanding benefits here. So, if you operate a few tiny but vital websites, Hostinger could be precisely what you need to keep them well-maintained and up and running.
Bluehost vs Hostinger: Pricing:
Bluehost and Hostinger both provide a variety of shared hosting options at various pricing points. However, you need take into account the added dynamic of promotional pricing, since the price you pay when you join up with these hosts will vary when your plan renews.
Let's start with Bluehost's pricing, which is the more expensive option…
Bluehost's monthly plans start at $2.75:
Depending on whether you sign up for a 12-month, 24-month, or 36-month contract, Bluehost plans vary significantly in price. The longer the term duration you choose, the less expensive your plan will be.
The features available with each plan are shown in the figure above. The prices for each, including renewal prices, are listed below in a table…
Despite the fact that the costs are shown monthly, Bluehost requires you to pay the entire amount up front when you join up. On the bright side, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you may get a full refund if you decide Bluehost isn't for you.
Hostinger is the cheaper host:
Hostinger is the cheaper of these two hosting providers, with prices starting from just $1.39 a month (depending on current promos). Like Bluehost, the plans work out cheaper if you sign up for a longer contract – with 48 months securing you the advertised prices.
However, Hostinger does offer a monthly payment option, which although more expensive, will be tempting to some people. So let’s now check out the prices…
As you can see, the renewal pricing are also less expensive than Bluehost's. As a result, if cost is your primary consideration when choosing a hosting company, Hostinger is your best option.
Hostinger vs. Bluehost: Ease of Use:
A user-friendly web host with a quick and easy website setup procedure and an intuitive dashboard is an important element to consider when selecting a web host.
Fortunately, both Bluehost and Hostinger are incredibly simple to use. Let's take a deeper look at their usability…
Bluehost offers a fantastic customer experience:
Bluehost has an excellent user interface and offers a lot of beginner-friendly tools to make the setup process go smoothly.
Here's a brief rundown of the Bluehost control panel:
1) An intuitive dashboard where you can manage your account, websites, and more:
2) A one-click WordPress install tool:
3) cPanel access for those who require it:
4) A pre-installed Bluehost menu within your WordPress dashboard to help streamline your website design process:
Bluehost has put a lot of thought and effort into creating an impressive user experience for its customers. So how does this compare to Hostinger?
Hostinger also offers a custom dashboard
1) The Hostinger dashboard is stylish and minimal, enabling users to quickly find what they are looking for:
2) Hostinger provides its own custom dashboard that’s similar to cPanel, where you can manage your websites:
3) Hostinger’s Auto Installer tool will let you easily install WordPress:
As you can see, there are a few distinctions in the user experiences provided by Bluehost and Hostinger. The first is that Hostinger does not use cPanel, which may be a deal breaker for some. Its bespoke hPanel, on the other hand, is a viable option.
The second distinction is seen within the WordPress dashboard. Where Bluehost gives a helpful setup menu, which is ideal for individuals who do not have access to the internet, Hostinger just installs WordPress as it is.
The variations between the two hosts are minor, and your choice will be based on your specific requirements. In the end, both hosting companies provide a user-friendly service.
Bluehost vs Hostinger: Support
Both Bluehost and Hostinger offer assistance to new and current clients, but Bluehost is the hosting service for you if you want quick answers to your questions. Let's have a look at the support solutions offered by these two hosting behemoths…
Bluehost offers better support options
Bluehost provides a variety of support options to help cater for everyone’s needs. So however you like to troubleshoot a problem, you will find Bluehost to be very accommodating. Here are its support options…
Knowledgebase – Bluehost offers an extensive and searchable knowledge base, consisting of how-to tutorials and guides, videos, instructions, and more.
Phone support – 24/7 phone support is available, enabling customers to speak directly to a team of hosting experts.
Live chat – Always a favorite of mine, live chat is not only available 24/7, but on the numerous occasions I have used it, the response time has pretty much been immediate.
If you are someone who needs a high level of support, Bluehost can provide this. So how does Hostinger’s support compare?
Hostinger provides ticketed email support
To be honest, Hostinger's customer care pales in comparison to Bluehost's. However, if you just want little assistance or are content to find what you require by exploring the knowledge base, Hostinger support will suffice. Let's have a look at what's available…
Knowledgebase – The Hostinger knowledge base has a selection of very useful and easy to follow tutorials and how-to articles. A particularly helpful ‘getting started’ section ensures that those new to Hostinger have all the information they need for a smooth set up.
Email support – Hostinger provides a ticketed email support option, where you can submit your query and then be contacted by a customer service representative who will help to solve your problem.
Live chat – Hostinger offers 24/7 live chat, which is helpful if you want a more real-time communication method.
Unfortunately, Hostinger does not offer telephone support, which may be difficult if you have an issue that needs immediate assistance and want to talk to a real person.
Bluehost vs Hostinger: Performance
When choosing a hosting service, one of the most essential factors to consider is the performance of the web host. Not only will your visitor counts suffer if your website is sluggish to load or has frequent outages, but you will also lose leads and sales. Poor performance can also have an impact on your site's SEO, making it more difficult for your content to reach a broader audience.
Hostinger provides faster loading times
Here we set up two new test websites, one hosted with Bluehost and one with Hostinger. We then tested the loading times of these sites, here are the results…
Bluehost:
Washington D.C.: 2.75 s
San Francisco: 2.86 s
London: 3.43 s
Sydney: 3.73 s
Tokyo: 2.87 s
Hostinger:
Washington D.C.: 0.829 s
San Francisco: 1.06 s
London: 0.484 s
Sydney: 2.26 s
Tokyo: 1.92 s
Bluehost recorded 100% uptime over the last 7 days
Before creating this comparison, we also tracked Bluehost and Hostinger's uptime over a seven-day period. We discovered that Bluehost has a 100% uptime rate, whereas Hostinger had a 99.99 percent uptime rate.
Bluehost vs Hostinger who wins?
Both Bluehost and Hostinger have a lot to offer, but they each have their own set of advantages and disadvantages.
To conclusion, Hostinger is the best option if you're searching for low rates and quick loading times.
Bluehost, on the other hand, is for those who desire limitless resources (bandwidth, storage, and websites) as well as greater support.

damn allowed myself to want things for a day and all i want is a van to live in, knowledge, freedom, weight loss, and a bass guitar.
im. happy with that i think. im proud of me, no jokes. im proud of being able to want things and care about them and vibrate towards them with longing. im... pleased with that. its fulfilling in a way Not Wanting For Anything isnt, because thats... kinda hollow. empty. in a vacant, lonely, yearning and grieving and SAD way. maybe because i Couldnt Want then. i Couldnt Desire or it would be used against me or taken away. that sucks. that sucked.
and now. im free to want again. and comparatively???? i think im very much never going to aim for buddhism or that weird Not Desiring Not Attached Nirvana mindset. like good for u but been there out of trauma and its not fun theres no reason to truly Live. u just float endlessly and experience and it aches so badly!!!! it hurts to want to want and not be able to. and i guess that is different from not wanting at all but... its not different enough for me to justify ever going back to that. or going forward to that. i just got this back and screw enlightenment if it means i have to give up on my passions i dont think life is worth living without it.
and anybody who looks down on that from a spiritual tower has yet to examine their own pride and how empty they feel without it.
anybody who looks down and smiles and wishes me luck on my journey? good for them. im glad theyre living their best life, on their journey as they see fit.
and i feel the need to protect myself because ive been hurt by the pride- the arrogance of others before. a lot of my hurts and traumas stem from my mother being too prideful to recognize that she can be wrong and someone under her power could be correct over her. and it was an uncomfortable truth. so she denied it was one at all and hurt me. i know the reason could be elaborated on. she didnt want to confront her own internal logic. or trauma. or even doublethink. that doesnt excuse her hurting a child for the sake of her sense of pride, of comfort, of self-worth. a child under her power, that she claimed to be parent of. teacher of.
not owing anyone anything is not the same as not hurting anyone. i havent reconciled that yet. oppressors should be held accountable for their mistakes, and give reparations if the harm is physical at LEAST. and i think that applies to politics, yes. privately though? if i beat up a nazi, i dont want to pay for his hospital bills. my personal philosophy struggles between equating people and ideas as a worth measurement, and realizing that that line of thinking is... similar to oppressors. but. its based on something people can change. the question is, do i think "if given the opportunity" is a good enough reason to stop and question a racist that runs their mouth? and do i think pre-emptive violence is okay? if say, a nazi walks into a bar and doesnt say anything but is wearing all the red flags and bells and whistles. i dont think that justifies a beatdown. being asked to leave, sure, but the beatdown doesnt start til the first remark flies.
once the intent is given OR the action is taken, the line is drawn. doesnt matter if they Havent Had The Chance. if theyre starting shit outside of debate spaces like that, and not, say, asking questions, theyre not looking for new perspectives, and it is NOT my job to educate people. its not my job to Show People The Light. a quick fucking google search could tell them why theyre wrong. if they havent put even the most basic energy into questioning their beliefs, thats on them.
it sounds like im trying to absolve myself of blame here. largely because. i think i should go out and help educate people because theyre inherently complacent if theyre, yknow, in a position of power. aka white folk and men and rich folk and cis folk and on and on and on. these people dont live my reality. they dont live the reality of a gay black man in the south, or a genderqueer lesbian in the west, or an indigenous woman whose nation is being targeted, or a muslim woman who cannot wear her headcoverings in the face of danger of death, or an asian immigrant who cant get a job because of COVD age discrimination resurging. we will never live each others realities, but we can become aware of them.
they wont come into awareness without someone asking or telling, and then doing something to change them.
we shouldnt need to go running to people in power for them to be aware of problems in the populace, govt is supposed to help and solve issues like this. like. actively. thats the whole point, make life better for the countrys citizens. and individuals in a position of social power...
are individuals who didnt take on a responsibility to protect and serve or otherwise care for the populace of a nation. i personally think they SHOULD care, but they are not obligated to. i cant make them care about others.
and honestly, on some of them, it would be a waste of time. there are people who want to change or question things and yknow what? they seek out answers. in people or places or online usually. stats and stories.
so like. i dont think someones Potential as a person matters when theres a throwdown about to happen. it really isnt my responsibility to save people from themselves or try to change their sides against their will. if they want to chat about it they can ask questions first.
not throw insults or punches or hatred.
what people have been taught is worth analyzing and trying to correct IN SOCIETY but i cant fix every broken white boy that comes to me. PSAs, fliers, outreach, online videos, debate spaces. those are things i already have access to and can be a part of if i really want to go around changing minds. or yknow. get involved in legislation and be myself around others to change their perceptions of whats socially acceptable or normal. maybe protest, maybe call congressfolk, etc.
but not every comment has to be analyzed or a learning opportunity. im allowed to shut it down, and people can respect that or stop talking to me. this isnt my parents house where i had to justify everything that i said or did when scrutinized, and doubly justify any criticism i had of mother, or any joke i frowned at instead of smiling.
these people dont have that power over me. they arent my mother. they arent my boss, and if they are i can fuck off and get a new job if necessary. they dont have financial control over my living space and food and schooling and physical control of where i can go and with who and for how long. I CONTROL THAT. I do.
Huh. maybe thats why i want a van so bad. i mean... when this lease ends if nobody is gonna end up living with me...
i could just... live in my car and shower at truck stops. get a storage unit for my stuff. save by driving jobs. like 40 to 60 a day. tear out my cars back, insulate it, and install my mattress pad there. water on the floor, cooler next to it, wooden cutting coard, knife, single camping plateware set, and another little shelf for spices. maybe a hot plate i can hook up to the car battery? get a long enough usb and it might be doable. i could go camping and open the trunk to just... vibe.
because yeah, honestly? i dont plan on having a solid apartment for a bit. like a long bit. and i still have like 70000 miles on my car before itll want to go. and by that point, even at like 100 miles a day, thats like 2 years, less if i go cross country in that vehicle. i could save up SO MUCH for a better vehicle, or like. college. live on campus, get some credit, continue working after i figure out want i want to do.
i think thats a solid plan, even if i dont get another apartment and put everything in storage. work as i need to instead of all the time for rent, really only paying for gas, car repairs, car ins, food, and phone data/hotspot internet... that would bring my monthly expenses down to like 500 a month max instead of like 1400. id only need to make some 1000 a month doing contract stuff to save for taxes and stuff. anything extra would be just that: extra for savings and things. holy shit.
depending on how this next month goes for my friends, holy s h i t.
i. i might do this. legitimately.

“Can you please take my dress off,” you begged as your best friend, Klaus pulled yet another cotton sundress over his body.
“Don’t mind me, you carry on, writing Diego on the last page of your journal.” He turned to admire the neckline on his chest. “Don’t forget to change the dots to hearts, love.”
“Klaus! Can we be serious here for a minute? I am trying to get him to devour my body, not walk right past me like you occasionally walk through Ben.”
Or at least acknowledge my existence, you thought to yourself.
You were beyond frustrated, just because you were shy and didn’t make efforts tp openly seduce him, didn’t mean that he could treat you like you were a formal acquaintance. His indifference ended tonight and you were hatching a plan with Klaus (and Ben, but Klaus refused to give him any credit for his ideas) to make him what he was missing out on.
Five hours had passed before you stumbled back into your house, armed with shopping bags and a giggly Klaus.
“What’s so funny?” you asked.
Klaus walked up to you and bopped you on the nose.
“He’s going to be in so much trouble tonight. Don’t worry, I’ll make myself scarce.”
You ignored him and started dolling yourself up for the night, quelling the nervous thoughts sneaking up on you.
The air was vibrating with the beats from the music flowing from the speakers. You entered the club with Klaus already grooving to the music. You laughed as you lost him the crowd of grinding body. You walked over to your regular table where you met the Hargreeves siblings every weeks for drinks. The hush that fell over your table made you mentally pat yourself on the back. Vanya’s eyes seemed to be glued to tiny sliver of skin exposed at your midriff, while Luther was trying to look anywhere but your chest. Diego’s reaction had made the whole thing worth it, he was frozen mid-sip as he drank you with his eyes instead. A slight blush crept up your cheek.
Allison broke the spell over the table and walked over to you to pull you into a tight hug.
“You look beyond stunning. Every single man and most of the women here are looking at you,” she whispered as she pulled back to take in your outfit. You were dressed head to toe in leather, a halter top clothed your upper body, pushing your breasts upwards and together while your lower half was covered in shorts and thigh high leather boots complete with silver ornaments studded on its side. This was definitely a new territory, but it was time to pull out the big guns.
You settle down while Klaus sauntered with a tray full of shots. He sat down beside you, trapping you between himself and Diego. You tried not to press up against his side, but sneaky little Klaus had other things planned. With an arm wrapped around the top of the seat, you fit quite snugly with Diego.
Surprisingly, you weren’t the only one fighting to suppress your body’s reactions. At six feet tall, Diego caught quite an eyeful of your leather-bound chest. A shiver ran up your spine as you noticed his breath hitching in his throat. You looked at him and he busied himself with his glass.
“Shots! Shots! Shots!”
Klaus in his characteristic fashion was trying to get everybody drunk as soon as possible. You downed your drink and before you had time to completely absorb the burn down your throat, Klaus pulled you to your feet and on to the dance floor.
Wrapping an arm around your waist, his body moved in sync with the music. You laughed and shook your hips in tune with his. “Number 2 looks like he might fling a knife at me any minute,” he whispered. You nearly looked over your shoulder, but thankfully Klaus transitioned that into a dance move.
“Have you lost your mind? He chases you tonight, doll. You just relax and break hearts on the dance floor tonight,” he said with a wicked smile.
He left to grab a couple of drinks for the two of you and all the men within reach looked like Christmas had arrived early. A man in denim jacket and clear glasses approached you. “Dance with me?” He smelled faintly of jasmines and a deeper scent you couldn’t quite place. It was nice. You thought for a minute before you placed your hand in his outstretched hand. Maybe a little jealousy was all Diego needed. In any case, you weren’t going to pass up the opportunity dance with this gorgeous specimen.
A new song began and he went along, not overtly close. A few beats later his hand landed at the base of spine. You were slightly surprised at the touch of his rough thumb on the exposed skin at your waist. You were well on your way to losing yourself to the music as he spun you around, your back flush with his chest. You placed your hands over his where he gripped your hips. You were now facing the seating area. You shushed the voice in your head that asked you to close your eyes and ignore the eyes on you, but tonight was about more than a physical transformation.
You took a deep breath and locked eyes with a certain dark-haired, knife-carrying Hargreeves man. You shimmied your hips against your dance partner. You teased him for the duration of the next song. Your hands travelled up to your partner’s neck as his travelled up your sides till he flipped your over one shoulder. You winked at Diego and turned your back to him.
His hands slid down your back. He was an inch away from cupping your butt and your heart started racing, wondering if you had bitten off more than you could chew.
“You don’t have a boyfriend, do you?” he asked nervously, moving his hands off your hips and landing it on your waist.
You didn’t get a chance to answer because Diego had already grabbed his hand twisting it off your body.
“That’s enough dancing for a night. Take a walk,” Diego nearly growled at him, his arm wrapping around your waist.
Once he was out of sight, Diego said,” Dance with me.”
It wasn’t a question, it was a command.
He pulled you to him, your palms landing flat on his chest, his hand firmly planted on your hips. You ground against him, making him sigh.
“What happened to you? What’s with Sandy style makeover?”
“Why, are you complaining?”
He smirked at your reply, delighted by the fireball grinding against him.
You gripped the hair at the nape of neck, “To answer your question, maybe I got bored of the florals and the whole sunshine and cookies act, the shy girl next-door had to go.”
He tucked your hair behind your ear and bent leaned towards you, his lips blowing near your exposed neck, making you shiver.
“I am glad you made this choice,” he whispered in your ear.
His lips were so close to your skin; you wanted nothing more than him placing them on your body.
“Oh yeah? And how exactly do you plan on expressing your emotions?”
Diego placed his hands on your cheek. “Like this,” he said and placed his lips firmly on yours.
Your lips moved with his, almost as if this was a century old dance for your lips against his. He took control, burying his hands in your hair. You opened up to him, his tongue drawing a moan out of you, the vibrations going straight to his cock. You broke the kiss, both of you clearly out of breath. You slid your fingers through his. “Let’s get out of here,” you said entwining your fingers with his.
You walked out the back door. The moment Diego walked out and stepped into the back alley, you pushed him against the exposed brick wall. Running your palms over his covered biceps, you captured his lips in a searing kiss, teasing his bottom lip and tugging it into your mouth. Your kisses travelled to his ear and you sucked on his earlobe. Your tongue continued getting acquainted with his erogenous spots, duly noting the points where he hissed and sighed.
Your fingers gripped the first button on his shirt, popping it open. You moved on to the next button, but he grabbed your wrist and pulled it behind your back while he took over the kiss. One hand firmly locking your arms behind you, the other grabbed your face, softly biting your bottom lip before pulling it into his mouth. You squirmed with pleasure and the result was you rubbing your leather clad breasts against his chest. He nipped your earlobe and a fresh coat of enthusiasm enveloped you.
You broke free from his captivity and unbuttoned the next one. You placed a wet, open-mouthed kiss on the center of the smooth expanse of his chest while your hands went to his belt.
“Umm, what are you doing?”
You gave him a questioning look. Diego took your hands off his belt and brought them up to his lips, kissing your knuckles.
“Let’s get out of here. As much as I’d like to ravish you right here and right now, I’d rather do it properly.”
You lived closer to the club and within ten minutes you were trying to unlock the door to your apartment. It was turning out to be an arduous task with Diego’s hands cupping your breasts and his lips teasing your neck.
You finally managed to get the door and both of you stumbled in. He locked the door swiftly, the protector in him peeking out. You landed on the couch, hair fanned out under your head like a goddess. He settled between your legs and picked up your left leg. He stripped of your leather boot at an agonizing pace, lifting up your calf and placing a kiss to it before repeating the same thing on your right leg.
His calm exterior flustered you because the anticipation nearly wrecked you. Months of longing and pent up desire was resurfacing and you needed more.
So much more.
He bent to kiss your slender neck and you gripped the back of his shirt with both hands.
“Take this off. Now”
Diego chuckled at your command and whipped of his shirt. You stopped him from bending and pushed him into a sitting position and straddled him. You internally patted yourself on this new found confidence and returned to the breathtaking man under you. He pulled your face towards his, this new position exciting him as much as you and kissed you with fervor.
Wetness pooled between your legs and you soon started craving friction. Placing yourself on his clothed crotch, you experimentally rocked against him. He let out a low groan that encouraged you to do it again. His hands moved to your hips and he rocked you harder, a pace that nearly brought you to an orgasm, despite several layers of clothing between you. You grabbed his shoulders, biting your lip.
“Baby, I am going to come.”
He came to a sudden halt. He picked you up and helped you on your back as he settled between your legs.
“I want to be inside you the first time you come.”
Shy Y/N popped out for a second and your cheeks heated up instantly.
He made quick work of his pants and rolled on a condom. He undressed your lower half, whispering promises of giving each square inch of your body the attention it deserves. Your hands started unbuttoning your top when he stopped you.
“Keep that on. I want to fuck you when you look like a leather rock goddess.”
He lined up with your entrance.
“Ready, love?”
A quick nod from you and he pressed his tip in. Your thighs tensed around his waist as he went deeper. Diego’s forehead rested on yours as he was fully inside you.
“You’re so tight.”
“You’re so thick.”
He smiled and placed a soft kiss on your lips, giving you a moment to adjust.
“I really need to move, baby.”
You answered with your body, linking your ankles behind his back. He rocked slowly at first, gaining momentum with every moan and whisper you made. You chanted his name in varying tempos while he pounded into you.
He felt your release approaching and his fingers went to your clit. You shuddered at the touch and clenched around him.
“Hold on a second, baby. Let’s do this together,” he said through gritted teeth.
Your insides were screaming for releasing and so were you. His hand continued to rub circles on your clit while you held on to his back. Your vocal encouragement and the sharp sting of your nails in his back pushed him to release.
“Fuck! Yes, Y/N, fuck.”
His release triggered your own and you came on his thick cock, quivering under him, holding on to him for dear life.
It took a moment for both of you to come around and he pulled out of you and disposed his condom in a nearby trashcan. He lay down beside you and pulled you over his body. You rested your head on his chest as he kissed your hair.
“Round two?”
You looked up and he winked.
This was going to be a long, delicious night.

IS BLUEHOST WORTH BUYING? COMPLETE GUIDE
Did you know that Bluehost is home to more than 2 million websites?
Bluehost is a top option to consider if you’re in the market for a web host. They power more than 2 million sites across the globe.
But web hosting services are not created equally.
I see so many new webmasters make the mistake of just going with the cheapest web host or the web hosting site that appears first in their Google search results.
For something as important as web hosting, weigh your options in order to find the best web hosting plan for your needs.
Since so many of you will likely come across Bluehost during your search, I want to give you the best information you can to make a decision.
I’ll explain all of their hosting plans, pricing, and discuss the best parts about using Bluehost. I’ll even tell you about a couple of cons associated with Bluehost, just to make sure you have all the facts before you sign up.
Let’s look in to some of the benefits of bluehost webhosting!!
Benefits of Using Bluehost Web Hosting
While Bluehost offers a lot of great features, some of them are really stand out.
Low pricing options
Bluehost allows you to spend much less on web hosting. That’s great especially if you’re looking to build a site on a budget.
As you’ve already seen, the introductory rates for Bluehost shared web hosting starts at just $3.95 per month. Being able to host your site for less than $50 is a great deal.
All Bluehost shared hosting plans come with a free SSL certificate and free marketing credits. When you factor in the storage and bandwidth you’re getting, that’s a fairly decent value for the price.
Overall, this is one of the lowest prices you’ll see for a legitimate web host.
Great security
Even though Bluehost has some inexpensive pricing options compared to other web hosts on the market today, it doesn’t mean that they’re inferior when it comes to crucial security features.
I’ve already mentioned that an SSL certificate comes standard, regardless of which plan you choose.
Furthermore, their plans have a feature to hide the personal information that you used when signing up for a private domain. Lots of times hackers will target this information from website owners.
Bluehost has features to prevent malware attacks, as well as tools used for automatic daily backups. You’ll also get a security tool that offers spam protection for the email address associated with your website.
Again, this is all a great value considering how much these plans go for.
Top loading speeds
Page loading speed is something that always needs to be taken into consideration when you’re shopping around for the best website host.
If your site takes too long to load, it’s going to kill your engagement metrics. People will abandon your site, and you won’t be able to drive conversions. It’s as simple as that.
The average response time for Bluehost in 2020 is 352 ms. To put that into perspective, refer to my SiteGround web hosting review. SiteGround’s average response time over the same period of time was 662 ms, which is still fast.
Bluehost nearly cuts that time in half.
Easy to use
You don’t need to be a tech expert to host your website with Bluehost. Nearly anyone, regardless of their experience level, can find a beginner hosting plan from this platform.
That’s definitely not the case with all web hosting providers on the market today. There are plenty of web hosts out there that are specifically designed for advanced webmasters.
Whether you’re using WordPress or taking advantage of the Bluehost website builder, everything will be pretty straightforward and easy to follow.
Excellent support
Even though Bluehost is easy to figure out, you may still find yourself in a situation where you need some help or guidance.
In most cases, you should able to find an answer through their knowledge base page. This is essentially a support center that has how-to guides, tutorials, and articles with instructions for troubleshooting and FAQ. Simply search what you’re looking for, and there will likely be a resource to help you out.
Furthermore, Bluehost has 24/7 phone support, which is great for those of you who like to be talked through problems.
If you’re like me, you’ll probably just take advantage of their live chat agents. It’s a fast and easy way to get an answer without having to leave their website.
High uptime
You can’t give a web hosting review without referring to uptime rates. Take a look at where Bluehost stacks up compared to other web hosting providers in this recent study.
Bluehost ranked second on the list with a 99.991% average uptime for the year. That percentage is identical to MidPhase, which ranked first on the list.
Furthermore, you can see that Bluehost only had seven total outages on the year, which was the lowest for all hosts in the top five, including the top-ranking provider on the list.
It really doesn’t get much better than that. So if you host your website with Bluehost, you can rest assured knowing that your site isn’t going to have much downtime throughout the year.
Money-back guarantee
Like most web hosting services, you won’t get a free trial to try them out. But with that said, Bluehost does offer a 30-day money-back promise.
So if you’re on the fence about using Bluehost, it’s comforting to know that you’ll get refunded if you’re not ultimately satisfied in the first month.
But with that said, it’s worth noting that the refund only applies to web hosting costs. So if you use Bluehost for a domain name or other add-ons, those purchases are final.
WordPress hosting
If you’re using WordPress hosting, Bluehost is definitely a top option for you to consider. That’s because this web host is just one of the three “official” recommended choices from the WordPress website.
Hostgator and interserver are the other two recommended web hosting services on this WordPress resource.
With that said, you can still use nearly any other web hosting service on the market to create your WordPress website. But it’s definitely a positive sign that Bluehost is recognised as a WordPress partner.
Compare Bluehost Web Hosting Plans
Not every website has the same web hosting needs. Bluehost knows this and has three different types of web hosting options for you to choose from.
• Shared
• VPS (virtual private server)
• Dedicated server
Choosing which kind of web hosting plan to go with will vary based on how much you want to pay, your expected site traffic, and the type of website you have. Below I will give you a more detailed description of the differences between these hosting options.
Shared hosting
If you have a new website and you’re on a tight budget, shared hosting might be your best option. Bluehost offers four different pricing plans for its shared hosting services.
• Basic — $3.95 per month
• Plus — $5.95 per month
• Choice Plus — $5.95 per month
• Pro — $13.95 per month
I know what some of you are thinking. If Plus and Choice Plus are priced the same, wouldn’t you automatically go with Choice Plus?
All Bluehost plans go up in price once you renew. The advertised prices above are just the introductory rates. It’s worth noting that Plus renews at $10.99 per month, while Choice Plus renews at $14.99 per month.
Bluehost has managed shared hosting platforms, meaning you won’t have to worry about managing servers or anything like that
VPS hosting
VPS hosting from Bluehost is the middle-tier option of the three plans. There are three pricing options for a Bluehost virtual private server.
• Standard — $19.99 per month
• Enhanced — $29.99 per month
• Ultimate — $59.99 per month
The biggest differences in these plans are the cores, SSD storage, RAM, bandwidth, and IP addresses.
With the Standard plan, you’ll get 1 core, 30 GB of SSD storage, 2 GB of RAM, 1 TB of bandwidth, and 1 IP address. Cores, SSD storage, and RAM double at each tier for the Enhanced and Ultimate packages.
Using Bluehost for a VPS gives you dedicated server resources. You’ll be able to use your RAM, CPU, and disk space, no matter what other users on the same server are doing. VPS hosting also has increased security, since you won’t be sharing an operating system with any other Bluehost users.
Dedicated hosting
Picking a dedicated server plan from Bluehost means you’ll be taking advantage of their top of the line services. These plans are made for those of you who are tech-savvy and want complete control over your server.
• Standard — $79.99 per month
• Enhanced — $99.99 per month
• Premium — $119.99 per month
As you can see, top-tier plans come at higher price points. With VPS hosting, you’re maxed out at 120 GB of SSD storage, 8 GB of RAM, 3 TB of bandwidth, and 2 IP addresses. But dedicated servers from Bluehost go all the way up to 1 TB of storage, 16 GB of RAM, 15 TB of bandwidth, and 5 IP addresses.
These plans will probably exceed the needs and uses for what most of you are looking for. But with that said, as your website grows and your traffic scales, you might want to consider a dedicated server in the future.
Conclusion:
With all said, I definitely recommend Bluehost as a web hosting option among various services in the market with it’s leading uptime and fast loading characteristics in the market.
It also has hosting types, plans and options to meet the needs of any website. From these options, I’m sure, you’ll able to find an option that best fit for your online business and hosting needs and plans.

How I travel as often as possible
By: Claudia Manganiello
Pictured: Philippine Pesos
1. I’m a waitress.
I think the biggest reasons I love being a waitress is that I make decent money and can virtually make my own schedule. I tell my manager what days I’m available which really means what days I want to work and for the most part that is my schedule. And anytime I want to go on a vacation I just put in a request a month before, but it’s really more of a formal notice. Granted I make sure I don’t travel during busy season, too close together or for too long because I don’t want to risk not having a job when I get back. But in the past I’ve been able to travel up to 6 times a year!
2. I save alot of my extra money towards travel.
This one takes self control. Even though friends constantly invite me out to restaurants and bars, etc. I have to be selective and make sure whenever I spend it’s on something I REALLY want to because I know I much rather spend it on travel.
3. I research.
I always do some general research ahead of time on what the prices of a flight to a place are and how much things cost there (currency exchange). I also check if the prices will have a chance of spiking for instance around a busy time or holiday. This is something I look out for when I go to Miami every year for Ultra Music Festival. Most other times of the year the prices are ~$150 roundtrip, but because the festival is during Spring Break the prices can go up to $350 if you wait too long. So I start checking the flights a month earlier than usual and if I see a normal price or better I buy it because I know the prices are only going to go up. Last year I was able to find a round trip from NY to MIA for $100!!
4. I look for flights on sites like Expedia.
Two months before domestic, three before international trips I start looking up flights on Tuesdays. I check Expedia, Kayak, Syscanner and Google flights to see all different results and prices. What's great about these sites is they have features where you can see side by side how the prices can differ before or after the dates you select. This way you can choose the cheapest possible days to arrive and leave while still maximizing the time you can go away for.
Photo taken from google.com/flights.
5. I try to be as flexible as possible.
I try to work around my schedule. For example, when I was in school I had class from Monday to Thursday so ideally I would go away on a Wednesday or Thursday right after class and come back right before class on Monday. I usually worked it out so I only missed exactly one of each of my classes. But sometimes I had to weigh out the importance of the prices versus time I could go without missing too much school. I ended up going away almost every 2 months while I was in college, but I always planned in advance.
I also try to be flexible about the airport I fly out of. One time I waited too long to buy a flight to Miami and the flights were $350 roundtrip, so I flew to Fort Lauderdale instead for $200! The 45 minute drive to Miami was well worth the $150 I saved. However the cheapest airport to fly out of the New York area is usually Newark but it's not as cheap to get a ride to and its not the easiest to take public transportation with luggage. So most times I just choose the airport easiest to get to.
Less often I'm flexible about the airline I choose. I try to avoid airlines that have poor customer service because if something goes wrong the money is not worth the headache. I missed my flight home from Rome while I was literally AT THE AIRPORT waiting at the wrong gate where a flight was leaving for the same place at the same time (please learn from me: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FLIGHT NUMBER). American was basically like sorry not sorry. This was definitely mostly my fault but I went through security, checked in and everything, so they knew I was in the building. Yet no one called my name on a loud speaker like they do in the US when someone is missing. No one would help me in person (another lesson learned: look for flights on other websites but always try to buy directly from the airline). No standby was offered. I ended up sobbing to a random lady on the phone in the middle of the airport to get a somewhat affordable flight back home the same day because everyone was just trying to sell me $1000 flights 3 days later. So even though American is often one of the cheapest options, I can't say I wouldn't pay a little more to fly a different airline.
Also sometimes flights are cheaper from smaller airlines but they don’t include a carry-on in the price like most do so it ends up being the same price anyway. If you can fit all your stuff in a backpack (which is totally possible) it could be worth it, but again be weary of the quality of customer service.
6. I stay at Airbnb's/ hostels.
If I can split a room with someone I usually coordinate and book an airbnb atleast a month in advance to get the best options and deals. One time I stayed at a private apartment in NYC for just $25 a night before! But when I traveled alone I found the cheapest option was to share a room at a hostel. I enjoyed time by myself but when I wanted to share experiences I had a bunch of people around who wanted the same thing, it was great.
7. I sort out my money ahead of time.
I have credit and debit cards with zero foreign transaction fees and once I arrive to a place I take out however much I want to budget myself at a bank atm. When I can I use my credit card and if I need more cash I take out just enough to last the rest of the trip so I don't go home with a bunch of money I can't use.
8. I use my phone as little as possible.
I don't like to use my phone much while on vacation anyway, but usually you can't really get out of needing it for GPS. I used to have Sprint which includes 2G international service in alot of countries (a fee for faster speeds), but now I have AT&T which costs $10/day so now I really only use my phone for emergencies. I try to do everything on WiFi and when I can't I try to download any maps, tickets, movies etc offline.
9. I buy groceries when I travel.
I try to buy easy stuff to eat for breakfast and lunch from a grocery store and treat myself to dinner out. It saves time and money and seeing what they sell in grocery stores in different countries has become one of my favorite things to do. I still get to try new foods but at a good price!
10. I take public transportation when possible.
Usually I have to take an uber or local ride share from the airport because of my suitcase but when I pick my airbnb I usually make sure it's also accessible to where I want to go throughout the trip.
11. I avoid expensive tours and other tourist traps.
Before paying for something I try to find a way to enjoy it for less. Instead of taking a tour of a park I just look around myself and it's often much more peaceful and interesting. I saved $20-$30 by simply going to see the Colloseum in Rome instead of paying to see the inside. Not to mention I saved myself from waiting on the long line. Another example is when I went to the Venetian hotel in Vegas I didn't ride the gondolas for $20-$30 but I still got to see them and hear them serenade.
I don't skimp on everything though, I still love to enjoy experiences as much as possible. But I spend my money on things that are worth it instead. I've gotten full body professional massages in the Philippines for $20 before, you just have to decide what is worth it to you.

Episode 166
Honorable mentions:
I always love seeing a student with John’s old ‘loser’/helmet hair lmao it makes me happy
For the first time ever, when I say ‘Remi, pop off queen’ you know I actually mean it lol
Tldr: the high-tiers (can’t really call them “royals” anymore can we) establish themselves and prove their worths as paragons (perfect examples) of what royals should be and i applaud them for it
The amount of joker masks that the superhero posse brought in has to be representation of their power. Isen, the lowest-ranking of the superhero posse brought 1, Remi brought 3, and Blyke brought 3. You might be thinking ‘hey remi is more powerful than blyke’ but we know that he’s been working hard recently and because he only has one more mask than Remi, i think this idea is plausible. so let me believe that blyke is more powerful than remi please.
Nothing to really say about Isen except that he needs a hug
Going to ignore that remi listed cecile as someone she wanted to recruit help from because i would just get my hopes up
Only occured to me now that i could pull off a John and Rei comparison especially after reflecting over episode 150
Arlo and seraphina give off such close vibes and it’s obviously because they got close (or at least intensely familiar) when they were the king and queen and i just- i absolutely love when plots or characters go full circle and reflect (revisit?) the start of the story even though that sounds anti-development, it’s not im just bad at explanations.
WHAT I WOULD GIVE FOR CECILE TO BACKSTAB JOHN not that i don’t like john because i absolutely aDORE him because of his impact on the story, but i just want to see Cecile backstab someone and john is convient
just me talking for a bit, scroll if you want to skip to the actual content i understand ;( :
Okay: so.
I’ve figured out that instead of putting little talkative comments in the honorable mentions like I’ve been doing lately, I can put them here and not feel like total trash and that I’m downgrading the post so that’s fun.
Anyway, sorry if the massive ton of parentheses(?spelling) i'm using is confusing or hard to read. I mean, I won’t fix it, but I hope it’s not too bad ya know
Again: sorry for talking like im texting someone in 2017 it’s an issue, im aware. No one ever says anything, but yeah?? Im sorry???
Im panic-writing this an hour before the new episode drops so hopefully this is up before then, there’s no real hope though it takes me 10 minutes just to transfer this from my google doc to tumblr because i have to manually re-add all of the bold and italics and bullet points. Still not removing this bit tho even if (lmao “if”) it’s late ;)
Talking too much, but whenever you see (?”spelling/grammar/word choice/etc”), that just means that I messed up in that way, but I’m too distracted to fix it. Figured i should say that eventually seeing as i literally do that every post
Next post will not be written in first person at all because i think it makes these feel way too familiar and makes new readers uncomfortable which is stupid but is how i would feel so we’re experimenting. If you’ve never read one of my posts, i just act very informal with everything i do and i just want to say, i'm not in this tightly knit niche group that reads these and that ive been friends with for years. i just. Talk like this. So don’t feel like you’re eavesdropping by reading one of these. I really hope im not an outlier in feeling this way when reading other peoples post because if nobody actually feels this way, im bout to be real embarrased oops.
Im getting the talking out of my system because no talking next post.
Yeah this post is late. But: i stopped for pizza in the middle and my webtoon isn’t loading so im like sitting around waiting for it to
Remi:
Now, in this episode particularly, it has occurred to me that I need to give Remi credit where credit is due. I made a post (AN: multiple posts but we’ll ignore that) over a year ago talking about her abilities as queen and- I did her pretty dirty. Not unfairly, but dirty. I basically dissed her a lot and said that she wasn’t a good queen in any sense. And I’ve done this multiple times (AN: ignore last AN) because I can remember at least 2 other times when I just berated Remi over and over for being shit queen.
I’m not going to disagree with myself in this post (because I didn’t lie), but I want to give her some credit because I do believe she has changed recently and it has affected how I view her as a position of royalty. And, yes, while it is unclear if she is currently technically still a royal, what with John having somehow destroyed the entire concept of Wellston having royals (?), she has been taking the actions and responsibilities that a royal would. So-
What made me want to write this out was in this episode, episode 166, I really realized/noticed her attitude and actions dealing with and revolving around this whole joker situation (currently more about the fake jokers) was?? Actually productive?? To explain: In this episode, we see Remi approaching a group of low-tiers who are worriedly talking about the joker situation and 1. Analyzes the conversation in reference to the measures she, Blyke, and Isen are taking to prevent the situation, 2. Reassures the low-tiers that qualified help (her, Blyke, and Isen [aka the superhero posse]) is doing the best they can, and 3. Asks if they have any suggestions or ideas that might help them attain their goal. Like?? Hello?? The Professionalism? And the way she didn’t let her disappointment that her previous efforts up until now affect her is a stark contrast from the Remi of the past. I’ve ripped her apart because of just how often her emotions would completely overwhelm any sense she had. So: that stood out. But, anyway, big picture again: This whole short little scene from her was so impressive?
Honestly, the fact that Remi is going through all this effort to stop the fake jokers and make sure the low-tiers are safe is very different than what we would’ve seen from her in the past. One of the common reasons that I kept saying Remi was a bad queen was because she didn’t care about her responsibilities and didn’t take her authority seriously. There are even examples of Arlo, or others, telling her this (the example that came to my mind was when Remi was warning students about EMBER and Arlo stepped in [and the reason behind the events of this example helps to support my next point] {ALSO (sorry) afternote: I was reading through everything I’ve ever said about Remi’s leadership and I used this exact example in my post “Remi” from just over a year ago}). Another reason that I was against Remi as queen, which ties nicely with the previous reason (this sounds like repetition of like two seconds ago when I said that my last reason would support this point, but it’s not because words), was that she prioritized personal missions over things her school needed her to do. I remember being very pissed around episodes 110-120 because she ignored the big conflicts happening at Wellston in order to track down this separate crime organization (EMBER) and took Blyke and Isen with her (royals)(who were both against the idea). And I know that her reason for doing this is valid and I do respect her for attempting to avenge her brother, and I would have let this slide if she gave one thought or listened to Isen and Blyke at all about Wellston. I know this still sounds bad on my part, but it was many instances stacked on top of each other of Remi being, not just unconcerned, but unknowing, about Wellston’s current state as a school. At that time, Remi was the queen, she was one of the school’s royals, whose job was to maintain order and peace within the school. I couldn’t see any instances of Remi even attempting to do that. That was in the past though, because obviously, things are different now, like I said. Currently, Remi has gone out of her way to dedicate herself to the wellbeing of Wellston, that is obvious in the way she has been talking with low-tiers and unmasking fake Jokers. I only hope that her new motivation isn’t just a phase brought upon her due to her personal relationship/conflict with Joker, with John. I want to know if John ever happens to be dethroned or Remi somehow gets her technical authority back, will she still be dedicated to the school, or is her motive purely situational? I hope not? Because we’ve seen lots of change from her recently what with learning of the low-tiers mistreatment and all, so let’s cross our fingers.
Regardless, there has been improvement in Remi. In her leadership and dedication. And that needs to be acknowledged. So I am doing it. Yeah. Here you go. Badge of honor for Remi.
Obviously, most of what I’ve said also applies to Isen and Blyke, who are honestly going above and beyond (especially Blyke), just this section is a response to my previous statements of how Remi is not a good queen, not only for Wellston, just in general. And, again, while I still agree with my evaluation of Remi as a queen in reference to her past self and past episodes, This is a new development I felt obligated to talk about. :).
Blyke’s idea (?word choice confuses me):
Wowee this is a fun one. So: Blyke broke up a fake joker fight in a hallway this episode, and i just have to acknowledge this like I did for remi: props, but anyway, I was very intrigued by the way he handled the damage control like?? He refuses for the fake joker to be unmasked (?grammar) and gives the reason, “I’m not about to show his face so that you all can just gang up on him later!” And: applause. I think that this has occurred to me before, I just never dwelled on that idea, so I was taken off guard by this from Blyke. He was able to understand this and form a plan with how to deal with it? I don’t know about you, but that screams king behavior. Anyway, what Blyke does is take the fake joker to a separate room and unmasks him privately then talks with him as a way to both protect the fake joker’s safety and discourage him from any future stunts like the one he pulled a sec ago. And?? This is so great because, guys, this is liTERALLY the concept of like anger management and behavior therapy??
I especially liked how Blyke took the time to hear the low-tier out(something that the high-tiers are really starting to do [technically because of john because john became joker and caused all of this {and since john wanted to destroy the hierarchy because high-tiers didn’t give a shit about the low-tiers in a way he’s achieved his goal, albeit unknowingly}]). And, like i literally just said, by hearing him out, he’s creating yet another bubble of safety around the low-tier because immediately after (okay maybe not immediately, blyke did scold him a bit), Blyke says that whenever the low-tier is being picked on, he can come to Blyke. And NOT ONLY does this whole thing help with the fake jokers issue, but Blyke, along with Isen and Remi, are creating trust and respect between the low-tiers and high-tiers. This is them doing the hierarchy right! They are establishing themselves as leaders and as people that can be relied upon, which is exactly who the royals are supposed to be.
Just want to say: He also talked about how the guy who got attacked should also reflect on his actions, and yes, this deserves recognition, but this has been a common theme, so I didn’t think it was worth really discussing. Blyke got bonus points for this. Extra credit if you will.
Remi’s idea:
Back to Remi, but her idea about recruiting John to help get rid of the Jokers? Excuse me? The innovation, the growth, the potential. And, I know this was shut down pretty quickly by Blyke, but I still have to talk about it??? And this section is starting off horribly because there was absolutely no transition or introduction but hello??
Anyway, obviously the fact that Remi would even suggest getting any help from John (Joker) is astonishing. 1. He literally beat up everyone present in the scene 2. Honestly from what john’s doing for all anyone knows, he likes that low-tiers are faking being joker (remi even points this out lmao) 3. Again, he beat everyone up? Not exactly looking good for any kind of compromise. And yet despite these obvious reasons, Remi still lists him as a possible ally. Why?
Because when she met up with him before he completely dethroned the Wellston hierarchy, she noticed similarities in their goals and their beliefs. She says, and quotation marks mean quote, “When I spoke with him… I really thought both of us wanted the same thing… Just that our methods of approaching the situation were different.” !!!!!!! Remi knows that they really want the same thing: a safe environment for low-tiers. That was the one thing that John kept repeating over and over when they met up and talked (episode 150) (other than the fact that royals are shit but-): he wanted to create a school environment that was safe for the low-tiers. Whether or not that’s his goal now, or if he’s acting with that goal in mind, Remi obviously remembered this the most from their conversation because it seemed so similar to the way she was thinking. And Remi thinks that it would be possible that John would prioritize this over his dedication to his own personal project of destroying the school :).
Anyway, this whole idea is scrapped by Isen and Blyke who give valid arguments as to why trying to ally with John is a really bad idea, but oh my god the way my heart stopped.
This section is basically a summary and very quick, but this scene in the comic was riveting because of this. I just don’t know what else to say.

Holiday Truce Gift!
Here’s my gift for @voidetrap.
I hope you enjoy the fic! I’ve never written anything about Wes before so I hope I I met your expectations!!
The fic is Wes Weston vs. Jazz Fenton.
Check it out below the cut!
Why No One Believes Wes Weston:
Wes settled down into the chair, his heavy backpack clanking as he placed it on the floo beside him. He had to be careful, if he damaged any of his camera equipment, he wouldn’t have the chance to catch Fenton in the act. Last time Fenton had purposefully transformed in front of him when he saw that his camera’s lens was broken.
The bastard.
After Wes had confronted Fenton for the first time, Fenton had started messing with him consistently. Wes hadn’t gone to the rest of the school with his suspicions, and he wouldn’t until he had real evidence. Which is what the cameras were for. Soon enough he’d record the transformation and then it would be undeniable.
Not that Wes was planning on hunting Fenton down right then. No. He was here for a tutoring session. The tutoring sessions were held in one of the older classrooms, that went more or less unused since the ghost Poindexter had had his old locker moved in there by the principle and claimed it as his own. Despite this the ghost was hardly ever even there, but his haunted locker gave most everyone the creeps. Other than the old locker the classroom was filled with wooden desks and chairs and an old dirty chalkboard. Wes had never actually been in this room before but it looked like most every other classroom in the school.
His grades in science were slipping and his teacher had promised him extra credit if he attended five sessions. She’d been offering that deal to every student, but most kids didn’t take her up on it because tutoring was the lamest way to spend an afternoon. Wes had done it to get his parents off his back. He didn’t know who was running the session, maybe one of the biology teachers, and he didn’t much care. He just had to get through an hour of this and then he could get back to following Fenton around for evidence. The door to the classroom opened and Wes looked up to see one other student walk in.
Jazz Fenton.
Dubbed the hottest senior girl by Wes’ gym class, Jazz Fenton was the anomaly of the Fenton Family. She wasn’t weird, she didn’t scream about ghosts or have to go to the bathroom constantly. She was also human and not a ghost masquerading as a human. She was beautiful, intelligent, and kind. People liked Jazz Fenton and Wes was no exception. He just wondered if she knew what her brother was. Was she even safe from him in Fentonworks?
“Oh!” She said. “Someone’s here.”
“Do people not normally come?”
“Oh, only around finals.” She joked. “What’s your name?”
“W…Wes. Wes Weston.”
“Alright Wes. What class are you in?”
“Chemistry.”
“Mrs. Anderson’s class?” She asked and Wes nodded in lieu of an answer. “Well great! I know what section you’re on then, open up your textbook and let’s get started.”
Wes pulled his textbook out of his bag and listened to Jazz begin to tutor him on stoichiometry. Wes sort of understood what that was but that didn’t mean he was any good at it. It relied on a lot of math that had never been Wes’ strong suit. He’d totally bombed the quiz on it last week and he was almost grateful to be getting the review. She wrote out a few practice problems and walked him through it very carefully. Wes followed along step by step, enjoying having her pretty eyes on him and listening to her friendly voice. Once she was sure he’d gotten it, she gave him a few to do on his own.
“So. Are you the only tutor?” Wes asked.
He wondered if he should tell her what he knew. Maybe then she could help him. Besides if her brother was dead then she needed to know. Living in denial couldn’t be good for anyone.
Wasn’t she all about psychology anyway? She’d love the warning!
“Yep. No one else wants to stay at school after hours since there’s more ghost activity in the late afternoons. Poindexter usually comes by but he and I have an agreement.” She answered. “I volunteered to do most of the afterschool work. It looks good on college applications too.”
“You know you’re pretty cool.” Wes said, trying to subtly warn Fenton’s hot and awesome sister that her younger brother was actually a ghost. “Normal, I mean. Danny’s a bit...”
The girl stiffened and then looked at the Wes with the fakest calm look Wes had ever seen. She looked frightened, as if Wes was threatening her.
“What are you talking about?” She squeaked. “Danny is the normal one.”
What?
Wes spent the rest of the tutoring session in a daze, asking questions and trying to understand why Jazz had reacted like that. Jazz spent the rest of it emphasizing how normal Danny was compared to her, just a normal boy with normal abilities.
She knew.
And what’s worse, she didn’t care.
If Jazz Fenton considered Danny normal then…
Then what was she?
When Wes got home, he started to frantically pace his room. Think Wes. Think. Jazz Fenton seemed normal. She wasn’t a ghost, Wes’ ghost detection equipment would’ve went off around her like it did Danny. So, then what? She was beautiful, pale, intelligent, and most people just got lost in her eyes when she talked. What if she was using some sort of mind control? What if people only thought she was pretty because she had something supernatural going on?
How deep did this thing go?
Wes put a picture of Jazz, taken from the online newspaper from the time she won the science fair, on his cork board and started sticking post-it notes around her, listing out everything he could possibly think of to describe Jazz. Mesmerizing. Strong. Capable. Smart. Welcoming. As he muttered to himself, he started connecting various lists together using yarn. By the end of it, Wes looked up at his tangled mess and gasped.
“No. No. No.”
It can’t be.
He rushed over to his computer and brought up google. He typed in a search term and looked at the various Wikipedia articles that came up all while denying his conclusions.
Strong.
Pale.
Beautiful.
Intelligent.
It was all there.
“Jazz Fenton is a vampire.”
He felt a trickle of fear run down his spine. Ghosts. Ghosts Wes could handle. Everyone in Amity knew how to handle ghosts. If you had ghost weapons you fired, if you didn’t you ducked out of the way and waited for someone who did. But vampires? No. That was new. That was dangerous. No one had vampire hunting equipment in Amity. Why would they?
They’d need them now.
Where were her fangs? Obviously, she wore fake teeth, or maybe they could retract to a normal length when she wasn’t feeding. Wes had seen Jazz Fenton fight ghosts with a whip, no one human could be that strong and that skinny. It was all coming together. The Fentons had adopted two undead teenagers and Jazz thought Danny was the more normal one because he was at least human half the time.
Now Wes just had to prove it.
The next day at school Wes snuck around at lunch trying to catch Jazz Fenton in the act of not eating or drinking blood or something. He didn’t even know where to start and he had to be careful. One false move and she’d be on his neck and then it would be game over. Wes couldn’t die, not when something as dangerous as a vampire walked among them. He didn’t see her in the lunchroom though. He also didn’t see Danny. He frowned and snuck out of the cafeteria. It didn’t take long to find the two Fenton teens talking to each other in an empty hallway.
“I’m serious Danny. The guy asked so many weird questions.”
“It’s just Wes.” Danny scoffed. “He’s not going to figure it out.”
“What if he does? We can’t let this get out, what about our-”
“Jazz. I swear he’s not going to hurt you or anyone else. He’s harmless.”
Wes narrowed his eyes. He’d show Danny harmless.
“Okay. I just. With information like that he could really hurt you.”
“You should be worried about yourself. You’re the one who has to interact with him for hours at a time. Don’t let him get to you. Don’t give anything away.”
The two teens kept talking about but it stopped being interesting, so Wes snuck back without them being aware that he’d listened in from behind a corner. He sat back down in the cafeteria and pulled out his notebook. He grabbed a cheap clicker pen and started to write out on the top of a clean page.
How to hunt a vampire:
1) Garlic:
a. Wear garlic necklace (or put garlic in pocket) to next tutoring session. Look for averse reaction to smell.
2) Cross:
a. Borrow mom’s cross and hide it in palm, shake hands with potential vampire, look for burns
3) Sunlight??
a. Are vampires weak to sunlight? Jazz Fenton never seen outside on sunny day, always studying? Potential hazard? Open blinds during tutoring?
i. Warning could be defeated by thick sunscreen, check for zinc smell.
4) Holy water?
a. Need to go to church with parents.
i. Plan heist of cathedral???
5) Mirror:
a. Test for reflection
6) Invitation:
a. Does Jazz need to be welcomed into a home to enter?
b. How to test??
i. Hold a party?
It was a start Wes thought. He could try the first two easily tomorrow at his next tutoring session.
Wes’ mom kept asking him why he needed the garlic in the pantry, but she let him have it and she didn’t even notice that he’d borrowed her rosary. Wes kept the garlic in his pockets all day and occasionally rubbed it on his skin just so that he smelt very thickly of garlic. People avoided him in the hallways which meant he knew it was working. When the tutoring session started, Wes held out a hand, rosary hidden in his palm. Jazz saw it though and paused.
“Is that a cross?” She asked instead of shaking his hand. “It looks nice.”
“Don’t like crosses?”
“I’m not very religious.”
Right.
Test 1 failed.
At least he still had the garlic.
He put the rosary back into his pocket and pulled out his work. He’d placed a fan in the room so that it was blowing air from him to Jazz, ensuring the scent of garlic was going directly to her face. She didn’t seem to notice at first. But within a few minutes Wes noticed her sniffing.
“Do you smell something?”
“Uh no?”
“Oh. Must be some phantom smell. My parents experiments sometimes smell horrible and it sticks with me for hours after.”
Her parents made her immune to garlic. Damn.
The next tests were also not very successful. He couldn’t get her to look at a mirror without it sounding weird and the classroom didn’t have any reflective surfaces. He asked his parents if he could hold a party and they said no, he had after all gone home covered in garlic and gotten her rosary tainted with garlic smell. He tried to get Jazz to touch crosses multiple more times, but she always managed to slither her way out of it.
Fenton noticed Wes’ suspicions and got really protective. He kept Wes from doing anything to Jazz outside of the tutoring sessions.
It all came to a head two weeks after Wes’ discovery.
He hadn’t slept well in days. Nights were filled with fears and doubts about vampires and ghosts. If ghosts and vampires were real then what else was? Bigfoot? Werewolves? Mermaids? How many things were trying to kill people? How was no one else noticing this? Were they all blind?
He saw Jazz Fenton drinking a red liquid from a thermos during lunch and snapped.
“THAT’S IT!” He shouted loud enough to be heard throughout the cafeteria. Everyone quieted down. “EVERYONE LISTEN UP! I HAVE SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT JAZZ FENTON!”
Wes stood up and climbed onto the top of his lunch table. He struck a very dramatic pose and pointed at Jazz.
“She is a vampire!”
A beat of silence and then the entire school burst into laughter.
“No No! Look, she’s drinking blood!”
“It’s tomato soup.” Jazz denied. “Look.”
She thrust the open thermos over to one of her table mates who sniffed it and confirmed it was tomato soup.
“I’ve never seen you in the sun!”
“I’m on the school’s swim team.” She argued. “Get plenty of sun that way. Wait is that why you kept thrust a cross in my face?”
“Oh my gosh.” Danny said loud enough for everyone to hear. “You’re crazy next thing you’re going to be telling all of us that I’m a ghost!”
He then laughed loudly and the entire school followed suit, even Dash was willing to laugh along with Danny at the expense of Wes.
And from that day onward no one ever believed the boy-who-cried-vampire.

Ok this is super embarrassing but you’re one of my favorite writers in this uh.. whatever this blogosphere is so!! I wanna try and take a crack at writing my own fanfic but.. I got no idea where to even start. Any advice?
Oh man, I feel awful about this! I didn’t know my inbox had any new messages, so some of these asks have been sitting here for . . . some time.
Anyway, first off thank you very much! Secondly, the most obvious advice is just, you know, “do it.” But that’s infinitely easier said than done. I started writing fanfic when I was around 10 years old, so overthinking it wasn’t an issue, since I thought I was the world’s greatest writer. Assuming you’re not 10 years old and as blind to the concept of literary criticism as I was . . . well, the first step is obviously getting an idea. EDIT: Holy shit, this is long. I’m gonna have to break this bad boy up with headers, like it’s a real blog post or something.
Getting Ideas/Inspiration
I don’t know if you already have something you’d like to write about or if you’re still at the “gee that looks like fun” level of fanfic ruminating, but if you’re having trouble coming up with ideas, turning to the existing fandom is a great place to start!
1: Filling in fandom gaps: I’ve found a lot of my best fic ideas by looking through what already existed and seeing where there was something missing; when I first started writing for Camp Camp, literally only @raenbowsofficial created anything for Gwenvid -- it didn’t even have a ship name yet, and I’m pretty sure the 3 people into it were still throwing “daven” and “gavid” around as well -- so there being zero other fics for it meant that if I wanted it to exist, I’d have to be the one to write it. (That’s also nice if you’re kind of insecure, because when no one else has tried the idea you’re interested in, you have no pressure to compare it to anything else.)
Also, you could take a popular/already existing concept and write it the way you’d like to see it, if the existing fanfics do something with the story or characters that you’re not thrilled with. That’s handy because it gives you a general blueprint to work off of in terms of tropes and broad story beats, while letting you explore something new. Obviously, don’t rip off someone else’s fic note-for-note, but being inspired by someone else is a great way to kickstart your creativity! If you do have a specific author or story that you’re using as a jumping-off point for your own writing, I would strongly recommend linking them in your author’s notes at the beginning or end of the fic, and maybe gifting the story to them! You don’t have to, since the creation is entirely your own, but it’s still always nice to acknowledge the people who inspire you the most.
2: Fandom inception. If you want to be a little more direct and literal, there’s always the option of writing fanfic of a fanfic or fanart that you really love, if there’s a universe or story idea that you like, and you want more of it. As long as you give credit and notify the original creator, I think you’d have no issues in terms of fanfic etiquette, and I imagine they’d be honored to have inspired your own writing. Fandom is a very collaborative experience, after all, and we’re all in this together! :)
3. For more general “I have a vague idea of what I want to do (the ship, or maybe a tiny plot bunny) but I’m not sure where to go with it,” my biggest recommendation is music. Especially folk indie-rock music, which is 90% angst and 100% haunting. And again, looking at fanfic/art is a great way to get inspired -- I have a tendency to put up a particularly good or emblematic piece of fanart/fic in another window when I’m working on something tricky to write, just for something to stare at when my ideas start running dry (shoutout to @doritofalls, @ellohcee, and the aforementioned RA for being my go-tos when I need to stare at something pretty to feel inspired; there are absolutely others, because this fandom is filled with absurdly talented people, but those 3 are my heroes of inspiration and if you SOMEHOW don’t already know them, fix that immediately).
Wow, that’s a lot and it’s literally just all about getting an idea . . . which you might already have. Yikes. For the sake of people who have to scroll past this, let’s put the rest under a cut:
Fleshing Out the Idea: An Ode to Outlines
Some people are able to just sit down and write something incredible from a vague idea, and the story just builds on itself without any sort of planning or organization to guide them along the way. These people are named Cipher/Campernetics, and we hate her for being unfairly talented.
For the rest of us, outlines are essential.
My outlines tend to be insanely specific, because I’m very afraid of letting a single idea slip through the cracks, and I build on them over time as I get increasingly sure of where the story’s going. The early outlines tend to be extremely vague, with lots of “and then something happens” connecting major plot points. An example for a current WIP I’m doing right now:
(Seriously, “Julia and everything”? Future Forest is going to be so pissed at current Forest when she reaches that point and realizes she has no idea what she’s doing)
And as the story starts to take shape and a plot eventually forms -- they tend to take at least 10 chapters to materialize, but they do generally show up! One of the great things about fanfiction is that plot is largely optional, though, so no worries if you’re starting without a full story idea -- I find myself writing more and more details down, if for no other reason than that I want to make sure I remember what I was thinking when I finally get to that scene (because I have absolutely gotten to a point in a story and forgotten what I’d had planned. It sucks). Here’s an example from another fic with pretty significant spoilers if you can figure out which one it is oops:
I’d recommend keeping your outlines pretty simple, at least to start with: words and phrases, rather than whole-ass sentences like the above. The complexity will develop as your ideas do, so no need to wrack your brain trying to write out the entire story in bullet form.
I use the bolded ideas as stepping stones, more or less; I’ll write out the piece of the story that each line represents, which can be as little as a sentence or as much as 4 or more chapters (RIP my most recent long-running fic), then delete that line and move on to the next.
Bolding them isn’t necessary, but it does make it easier to differentiate at a glance what needs to be written. If you keep everything in the same hundred-page Google Doc like I do, this is very important.
Your outline doesn’t have to be well-written, and you can 100% use fillers like “and then something happens here.” I do that all the time -- again, another completely different story:
Now, the vaguer things are, the more annoyed Future You will be when it comes time to write whatever it’s bulleting -- there’s a reason I haven’t updated this fic, and it’s because I have zero idea what the everliving fuck “Pinky-and-the-Brain-ing all over the place” means -- but it’s really good for when you’re first getting started sketching out the vague outline of your fic. The more you panic trying to figure out all the twists and details at the very start, the less likely you’re ever just going to sit down and write the damn thing.
(This might be why I don’t write plot-heavy stories, to be fair. Mystery writers very well might have to have it all planned out from the get-go, and I’d recommend chatting with someone who’s a bit less “coffeeshop AU” and a bit more Agatha Christie for that kind of advice.)
Knowing When to Post
There are people that exist, who have amazing self-control, who can wait until their entire story is written and then release it in sections, at regular intervals, until the story is completed.
I am not one of these people, though I try to be with literally every single fic I’ve ever written.
Personally, I do this until I reach a point where I get stuck and need validation, and then post what I have in a giant chunk and then don’t update it for several months. This is almost universally known as the worst way to write fanfics, both in terms of getting interaction from fans and keeping readers from wanting to kill you, and if you have the ability to write the entire thing and sit on it until it’s ready to be shared, you are a hero.
Alternatively, if you can actually stick to a set schedule of writing it as you go and still update with a new chapter every X days, you are not human and I’m terrified of you, because if you find a way to weaponize this power you will rule the world.
Honestly, a good rule of thumb? Post it when you’re ready for people to read it, whether it’s done or not. Not all works will get done, and it seems mean to deny people the delicious little stub you’ve written even if you’re not going to finish it. When you’re happy with what you have -- or are so tired of looking at it that you need to post it or you’ll throw your computer out the window -- just do it and let out a sigh of relief, then either take a few days before going back to writing or just jump in immediately like a goddamn masochist.
(I have tried to get far enough ahead that I can start posting the already-written stuff on a schedule, figuring by the time I’m caught up I’ll have completed the entire story and won’t have any awkward gaps. Ahahahahahahahahaha that has never once worked.)
If you’re not certain about your writing, get a beta! The fandom is full of talented people who’d be happy to read over your work, and if the person you ask doesn’t have the time or spoons, they probably have a few ideas of other people you could reach out to. You don’t need a beta, but it always makes me feel better to have another set of eyes look over my writing before posting, and my beta always catches things I completely missed. Plus, you get a nice taste of that sweet, sweet validation we all crave.
This . . . is a bad guide. Just in general. The advice is . . . not good, and I think it’s largely useless. But I keep trying to think of useful things to add to it and coming up empty, so I hope something in here helped, and if you’d like to bounce your ideas off of someone, feel free to shoot me a message! Talking ideas over with friends is a great way to flesh them out as well, and I am happy to be anyone’s fandom friend.
#ask forest#forestwriting#legit no one is going to read this and i'm not saying that to judge anyone#in fact i'll lowkey judge you if you DO read all of this because why#Anonymous

RECENT NEWS, RESOURCES & STUDIES, May 24 2020
Welcome to my latest summary of recent ecommerce news, resources & studies including search, analytics, content marketing, social media & Etsy! This covers articles I came across since the early May report, although some may be older than that. Due to a need to get my taxes filed, and a continued busy jewellery business, I don’t expect to be able to do another update for a few weeks. You can follow me on Twitter for important breaking news, though!
Have any topics you would like to see me cover in more detail? Drop me a line here on Tumblr, or email me through my website.
TOP NEWS & ARTICLES
Small businesses can survive the pandemic and beyond, if they learn to provide what customers are now looking for. From desks to 3-D printed face shields, to including toilet paper on your takeout menu, to moving online, acting quickly has given these businesses hope. ABC also did a piece on this topic. [text & video; mentions Etsy & masks] Here’s another article discussing adapting to pandemic ecommerce “new normal”, with interviews with staff from Etsy, TechStyle and Zulily.
Ecommerce is about to get way more competitive (it probably is already), & arguably the retailers who will succeed are the ones who already put plans in action, including advertising plans. (mentions Shopify, Google Shopping & Etsy.)
Facebook and Instagram will now have “Facebook Shops”, which are free to set up. Sounds like it will be a slow rollout, though. Many take this as direct competition for marketplace sites such as Etsy, but it will probably also have a large impact on small website builder sites such as Indiemade.
ETSY NEWS
Etsy’s first quarter for 2020 was good, but April was astonishing by any standards; I covered it all here.
Etsy Payments will soon be available to sellers in Turkey, Malaysia, & Mexico. This will likely be welcome news to sellers in Turkey in particular, who haven’t had an easy way to accept payment for Etsy orders since PayPal left Turkey a few years back. It looks like this move will be optional at the moment for those 3 countries, unlike those of us who are forced to use EP if it is available in our countries.
Etsy gave some listing credits and ad credits to shops who had substantially lower than normal sales in late March through April; the credits don’t kick in until July, though.
Etsy is beta-testing a new listing video tool. You can join here; if you want more info first, here are some details. Note that the videos must be quite short, and will not include sound.
Etsy is still getting some good traction from the face mask initiative: “I would argue they were just in the right place at the right time," says Kodali. "When you think of who is able to consolidate the power of a million sewers in the country, the only answer is Etsy." However, they are also getting some criticism for masks taking forever to arrive, if at all. The slow customer support is also annoying many of these new customers that the CEO was so happy to attract, with little to no response from Etsy.
The Wall Street Journal did a well-received article on people buying food (mostly baked goods) on Etsy [paywall]. Other sources have picked it up, although some are a bit skeptical about safety.
More trend info directly from Etsy: first, summer at-home ideas with Dayna Isom Johnson [podcast links with transcript]. It also covers what to do for socially-distanced celebrations. “[P]eople are taking what they would typically do for a birthday, but then doing it virtually. So many people love paint night parties and I've actually seen quite a few paint kits that Etsy sellers are creating. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday and still have that experience of expressing your creativity and having fun with your friends, but just through a screen.” Also, “tie-dye is blazing hot right now.”
Second, craft supply sellers get their own trend article for a change. Supply searches close to doubled in April, with “346% YoY increase in searches on Etsy for “diy”. Many buyers are making their own masks with supplies from Etsy; “2,089% YoY increase in searches on Etsy for “elastic”. Do read the whole article if you want to spin your shop in this direction, as there is a lot of good info included.
SEO: GOOGLE & OTHER SEARCH ENGINES
Google pushed out a core algorithm update starting May 4, which finished rolling out on May 18. It seems fairly large, maybe the biggest in some time, and may have hit more areas than other recent core updates. They did take some criticism for releasing it during a pandemic. Possible targets aren’t agreed on yet by the people tracking it, but could include cryptocurrency, travel, real estate, health, tech, finance & dating. Or maybe we shouldn’t rush to pick winners & losers so quickly? News media changes may be affected by the regular algorithm reaction to people reading a lot more news these days, and some ecommerce companies had a boom that could affect their rankings. This article discusses Etsy among other companies, who might have benefitted from the update. [I’m not sure on the Etsy complaints, as I have been seeing multiple links for some searches for well over a year now.]
Link building is generally the hardest part of Google SEO, in part because you aren’t allowed to do any of the obvious things that might get you easy links. Anyone confused about the rules & the benefits should check out this guide for 2020.
While you can learn a lot from general SEO guides, if you have a Shopify site, this guide provides some specific SEO tips.
LinkedIn managed to de-index itself from Google on May 6, at least for the United States. Here’s one theory. Well-paid webmasters for major internet companies can still screw up, it turns out.
(CONTENT) MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA (includes blogging & emails)
If you are one of those organized marketers who plans their campaigns ahead of time, here are 5 content marketing ideas for June.
With so many people not working as much as usual, this might be a good time to start a podcast. Gizmodo has compiled instructions on doing it cheaply.
The best time to send an email depends on the purpose of the email. For example, “General site traffic emails have always been most effective mid-week — mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Mondays and Fridays tend not to perform as well” while “A general awareness campaign can be sent almost any time to be effective.”
Refreshing your evergreen content can be more productive than producing new content. That has some really good ideas for many types of businesses produce
Facebook bought Giphy, and while it will still be available to people without Facebook-owned accounts, it will be integrated directly with Instagram.
Instagram is testing new fonts in its Stories feature.
Twitter is enabling users to see how many people quoted a tweet, but so far only on IOS. They also have a new test where you control who can reply to your tweets.
LinkedIn is rolling out both video events and polls, but maybe it is too late to get a big bump from either change?
ONLINE ADVERTISING (SEARCH ENGINES, SOCIAL MEDIA, & OTHERS)
Online advertising can be expensive; here are some stats on the cost of various search engine ad clicks as well as a bit on social media.
Google Merchant accounts now let you compare your prices to other sites and also look at trends in clicks.
Here is a good brief overview of the new free Google Shopping listings, including the 3 main reasons the author believes Google made this change. Here is another much longer overview, with screenshots for those not in the US, and info on how to set this up for your website. The PayPal integration is now available.
Online advertising clicks seem to be bouncing back from the worst of the pandemic, according to several sources, including this one. It is still far too early to tell if this will last, however.
YouTube has re-conceived its premium ad program, now called YouTube Select.
If you have ads that slow down people’s computers or drain batteries by being too “resource-heavy”, note that Chrome is going to begin blocking those in August. “Chrome will filter ads based on the following thresholds: 4MB of network data or 15 seconds of CPU usage in any 30 second period, or 60 seconds of total CPU usage.”
STATS, DATA, OTHER TRACKING
Seeing all hits to one page in Google Analytics is a lot easier if you exclude the URL query parameters (but note that sometimes they are useful, such as for various pages on Etsy.) If you like the idea of filtering your GA results in general, here is another tutorial on that.
If you want to do A/B testing on your website, here is a fairly straightforward introduction to Google Optimize, which is free to use.
ECOMMERCE NEWS, IDEAS, TRENDS
Many online companies had a good first quarter despite the pandemic, including Shopify, which beat income estimates and saw its stock rise 5% after its first quarter report. “New stores created on the company’s online platform jumped 62% between March 13 and April 24 as many brick-and-mortar businesses migrated online.”
Shopify rolled out software that allows its users to more easily do curbside pickup orders. “...Shopify was already in the process of redesigning its POS before the coronavirus, but decided to accelerate the development of a few new features, namely fulfilling curbside pick-up orders and home delivery. Shopify said that by the end of April, 26% of its merchants with a brick-and-mortar presence were offering local delivery or buy online, pickup in-store, compared to 2% in February.”
Rolling out for the US first, Shopify is also getting into financial products, offering a new debit card which you can use to receive your sales income on the same day you earn it. Shopify Balance can be described as “a merchant account with no fees and no minimum balances.” It’s also setting up an instalment plan feature for customers.
Also new with Shopify: a Pinterest app for turning all your products into shoppable pins.
An Amazon VP quit - very publicly - over the company firing several whistleblowers and labour organizers. “Amazon declined to comment.” The company is taking heat for those issues as well as poor management of and information about how many employees have tested positive at various warehouses. Several employees are known to have died of COVID-19 so far.
Amazon has extended its order performance suspension exceptions for the pandemic to May 31. Which is a good thing, because it seems that buyers are leaving more bad feedback than ever before [soft paywall] “More than 11 percent of reviews left for sellers in the past 30 days are negative. That’s nearly twice the level of frustration vented by shoppers regarding Amazon’s third-party sellers during the holidays, when customer anxieties spike over not getting presents on time”. eBay extended some seller protection changes until July 19. [note: if you sell on these platforms outside of the US, lease check for your own country’s rules, as some of them are different.]
Amazon Handmade sellers from the US got a boost from a new local makers page and the accompanying blog post. [I was unable to find any similar promotions for other countries; seems like a missed opportunity]
Buyers in Canada and the US are trying to get class-action lawsuits certified against Amazon for their policy preventing/discouraging its vendors from offering lower prices elsewhere. This article includes the US class action complaint paperwork.
If you are wondering about Prime Day, Amazon is apparently going to try for September, but there is no official announcement yet.
eBay will be changing the fee structure for sellers using managed payments, including charging one fee on the entire transaction instead of separate commission & processing fees.
USPS, complaining of deficits and being pressured by Trump, is reportedly reviewing its package delivery contracts with large companies such as Amazon. “According to the Washington Post, over the last few weeks the USPS has been seeking bids from consulting firms to reexamine what the agency charges companies like Amazon, UPS, and FedEx. Contracts are generally reviewed on a yearly basis, and analysts have repeated warned that suddenly raising package prices that drastically would cause more bad than good, not just for the USPS or Amazon, but for small businesses and individuals too.”
Square has created an easy online checkout option that works without being connected to a website/shop. (US only)
BUSINESS & CONSUMER STUDIES, STATS & REPORTS; SOCIOLOGY & PSYCHOLOGY, CUSTOMER SERVICE
Google has introduced a new Trends-like tool that covers recent top product searches by the amount of growth. Yes, it is free!
Gen Z wants to see “fun and exciting advertising” during the pandemic, because they are bored. They are apparently not really fond of “things are different now” ads. Also: “A survey taken seven weeks ago indicated that younger consumers were more likely than older adults to say they wanted to see purpose-driven advertising that showed how companies were helping others.” Actually, Gen Z isn’t alone in wanting something different from commercials right now
Consumers want to see companies taking positive action and supporting their employees during the pandemic - and claim they will remember who did a good job, so they know who to support with purchases.
Not surprisingly, mobile usage is up during the day time since the pandemic was declared, and people are also staying online later during the week. Web browser usage is up, and more serious news and information is getting attention.
There will likely be many more bankruptcies as the effects of COVID-19 ripple through the economy, but some businesses don’t have enough cash flow to go bankrupt. [text & video]
Canadian retail sales were down 10% in March compared to 2019, but many things went up, including general merchandise stores (6.4%) and online retailers (40%). Note that the online numbers didn’t include sales made from Amazon.com or Amazon.ca and delivered in Canada, so ecommerce was actually higher than that. In the US, March retail sales were down 8.7%, but April looks like it turned around for many ecommerce sites.
MISCELLANEOUS
So-called “cookie walls” are not enough to comply with the EU’s privacy laws. “[I]n order for consent to be legally valid under Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) there are specific standards to meet: It must be clear and informed, specific and freely given. Hence cookie walls that demand ‘consent’ as the price for getting inside the club are not only an oxymoron but run into a legal brick wall.”
Website layouts (and even other elements) are starting to look like each other more & more.

the galtean tattoos and piercings [ mostly for the brave , pt3 ]
you might be wondering - cloudy , wtf is that username and where is the tattoo shop - i wonder that too but you shall see soon
p.s - anything with a bracket has a cm behind it unless it's not numbers . then go ahead and assume it's not height-related .
-------------------------------------------------------
the rest of the afternoon , they went full blown matchmaking mode . " listen man , if we want them to do the deed , first they have their needs , " lance slammed his hands on the table , a customer walking in and widening their eyes a bit before backtracking and walking back in , albeit further from lance .
" no lance , you aren't listening ! " pidge pressed her fingers against her temple . " we need them together first , then we set the plan into action . " lance threw up his hands , " listen babygirl , i know you cute and all but this attitude ain't it . boo , they need to go on a solo trip first and we stalk them , then we head out with your plan . "
the full-blown chaos at the table for two continued , as allura and romelle calmly took orders . " mmmhmm , aight , i need to dip soon before anyone from class sees me - " " well what about me ?! " " shit i forgot you weren't twelve , " lance snickered playfully as pidge leaned over the table to punch him . " fuck you ! "
quietly , they snuck out the moment shiro and matt walked in during their lunch period - yes , the ' double trouble duo floopers ' - i swear i'm only the narrator - were intense stalkers . they hid behind the counter , staring right at the ' #shatt ' couple as they sat at the table the duo was hust at . " ⁰⁰⁰k s⁰ l¹ke wh⁴t'⁵ the p¹⁴n , " lance whispered , pidge scrunching her eyebrows at him . " what the fuck did you just say ?? " she whisper-shouted , cause lance to roll his eyes and nearly stand up , if it wasn't for pidge . " i said ok so like what's the plan - " " no yer fokin did nawt ! "
their under the counter bickering continued , until pidge's ass was met with a rough kick from allura , allura's face with a desthly sweet smile . " hey matt ! hey shiro - since when did your lunch breaks fit together so nicely ? " allura teased , hearing matt snicker a bit . lance and pidge , from behind the counter , physically f e l t shiro's blush as they scrambled to sneak out .
" th¹⁵ ¹⁵ ⁰ur ch⁴nce , " lance hissed , trying to hold back laughter . pidge pinched his cheek , " ⁵top talking in goddamn ... superscript or the ... fuck math . " lance pushed her by the booty out as they crawled , " i said this is our chance !! move !! "
as romelle blocked the display on her left so the duo could slide on out safely without being notice - " pidge ? " matt squinted at the display case , " oh no , pidge is in class , isn't she ? besides , she never comes to our shop unless it's lunchtime , " romelle diverted matt's attention , the crawling duo quickly falling over themselves on the slippery tiled floor as they walked on all fours - more correctly , struggled and slipped and mopped the floor -
" ... pidge never comes alone ? she's never seen here without me , lance , hunk or keith ... ? " matt raised a eyebrow suspiciously , shiro's mind turning and turning and - " she's here with lance , isn't she ??? i didn't mark her attendance this morn - " matt flung his head around towards shiro on his left his face half scrunched up with confusion . shiro blushed a bit and he told himself this was the wrong time to feel this sinful way .
matt looked at romelle's nervous face , looked back at shiro and looked to the gorund on his right as he heard some knocking noises . he blinked once , twice , opened and closed his mouth , " so you played truant with lance ? mom's gonna - " he paused abruptly , wincing as pidge's face crumbled a bit .
shiro blinked at least five times , looking around . " ... your mom's gonna what ? i-i didn't see her contact number on the list in the ' call in case of emergencies ' column , " shiro squished matt's shoulder , confusion intensifying as allura and romelle cringed physically , the line of customers backing away a bit as they formed a new line so allura could take their orders .
matt , in all his 5'2 glory [ 161 if you're like me and had to use google to figure out because america doesn't work the same way as pretty much the rest of the world ] - not including his shoes and hair though , in that case he's 5'10 - immediately threw shiro's hand off him and dragged pidge and lance out , throwing them harshly on the curb and shouting bloody murder about truancy and that they should've have skipped class and all the things that shiro would've said but in a much softer voice and even softer use of language . " uhm . t-two caramel fraps with no whipped cream ? " shiro itched the back of his neck , handing allura his credit card as romelle went outside for damage control . " c-coming right up ??? " allura swiped his card , gave it back to him and shiro smiled nervously before heading outside for damage control part 2 .
-------------------------------------------------------
so here shiro was , trying to stop matt from pulling the troublemaking duo's ears and saying sorry to the passerbys . " l-look matthew , you don't have to - " " stop calling me matthew , just call me matt , and yes i have to ! " shiro blinked a blush as he opened the door to the tattoo shop .
a few heads turned as the bell on the door rang , the windchime in the shop right next to the door clinging ... sweetly , as weird as it is - albeit on the softer side as well . not what you'd expect from a typical windchime .
lotor smiled painfully as he finsiehd up some paperwork and handed it to the nervous client , whispering assuredly to them - " don't worry , our reputation as a shop is that it's mostly only for the brave , so y'know ... ya gotta have some kind of balls to come here . " the client just sucked in some air , refusing to turn around .
" matt , stop please , i'm literally 6'2 [ 190 ] and you're bringing me down to like , 7'4 [ 225 ]- wait no i meant 5'4 [ 164 ] - ouch ! " lance whimpered , pidge just getting dragged upwards since she was 5'2 . i'm not kidding here , she's like , the bare minimum of 159 . she likes to say 159.5 just to make herself feel better so she can round it up to 160 .
matt psuhed them down at his work station and closed the curtain , sitting down on the swivel stool and sighing , hands covering his face . pidge and lance sat close to each other , lance gulping a bit at the sight of a cotton ball with dried blood on a tray with piercing items . shiro had taken notice of the cart's tray and out of sheer terror , dropped it into the trashcan next to the cart , pitying the poor person who had to sit through that .
matt breathed in deeply , proceeding to stand up and make the swivel chair taller , before sitting back down and taking off his shoes and hearing them drop against the floor . then , quite unnervingly , looking directly at pidge and lance in the eye . " miei amici , mi amigos , 我的朋友们, my friends . how many languages do you need til you understand ? what has gotten into you ?! especially you , katie - la mia famiglia, il mio girasole [ i'm sorry , i had to google translate , hopefully it means ' my family , my sunflower ' ] ! mama and papa trusted me to take care of you since we were little kids - " matt cut himself off , putting his head on shiro's bicep as he sighed , squishing it a bit . " stress ball , " he whispered quietly as shiro patted his other shoulder .
pidge and lance were trying not to ship it too hard in misdt of the end of their life . shiro breathed out , hoping he wasn't blushing too hard . " listen , please ... " he did a dad sigh , matt following along . " i know that it's ' oh-so-hard ' to sit down in a classroom and listen to a teacher drone on and on and i get it - i was a student myself quite a while ago . but it doesn't mean you can simply skip like this , " shiro scolded gently , petting matt's hair as matt clung to him increasingly more .
the recievers were just quietly staring at their hands , starting to feel bad . " we're s⁰rry , " lance said quietly , his voice cracking a bit . pidge held back a badly timed laugh , shiro shaking his head as he watched pidge struggle to hold back .

Guardians of the Afterlife
I was at the park, one morning taking a stroll. I happened to find a diary on one of the benches. It was colorful and vibrant.
It had a note stuck to it that said, "My heart belongs to someone." I couldn't help but be curious, so I picked and up and started reading it. Bits and pieces of a stranger's stories, sounding so tragic I couldn't help but feel a little distraught.
Moments later, the diary was whisked away from my hands.
"Reading someone's diary is wrong." she said on soft voice and angelic way of tone.
I saw her eyes with great irritation then suddenly she stabbed me in the heart. At that moment my life in the afterlife began.
I eventually came to in a desolate battlefield, with mounds of dirt and spoils of war as far as the eye could see.
The only thing that broke the deafening silence was this girl fighting a monster. It towered above her with bloodied claws and a desperate look in its eye. The girl, however, had hair that was dyed a deep red, and an expression that was bold and brave. She had a weapon far too large to be a gun clasped in her hands, using it to battle the demon.
I ran as fast the wind could blow to avoid getting involved. The demon swung its claws at the girl, tearing open her stomach. I hear her scream in pain and it stopped me in my tracks. I double back, outside of the demon’s field of vision to try and intervene. I couldn’t run away when I could do something.
The girl gets tossed onto the ground, nearly facing her death. The demon raised its claws once again to deal the finishing blow, but I sneak at the back of the demon to struggle him to death
After the tussle, I approached the girl helping her to stand up. We hid ourselves beside a giant tree so that the girl would have a rest. She used her healing potion to her wound and minutes later she slept, it’s already dark then I took two stones to be rubbed to create fire for the cold weather.
The girl woke up then she said, “You’re a brave man for confronting a demon.”
Then with pride I simply smiled to her saying, “It was nothing.”
Then I was about to leave even I don’t know where to go
She asked me “Are you lost or just new to the afterlife”.
I don’t know what to say since I don’t really know what’s happening. I simply smiled at her without telling a word.
“Come and join the T.S.A.D.” she said with a tone with confidence
She was looking at me pleasing my heart to join their group. I really need to think about it since I’m lost and I don’t have any clues to solve this mystery.
I answered, “Yes, I’d like to join the T.S.A.D.” I paused, before continuing, “What does it stand for, though?”
She said “The Society Against Demons”, she said that “In the afterlife or purgatory we need to fight demons, because demons will do their best to get your soul or bring you to hell”.
“If you want to leave the afterlife, you’ll have to graduate from the School of the Everlasting.” She continued. “Souls in purgatory go through study to atone for their wrongdoing when they were alive.” After graduation she said “The soul will leave the purgatory then they will go to the Elysium”.
After an everlasting chat with the stranger I started to ask her name and ask more question to solve my problem here in the afterlife.
I asked, “Can ask your name since we talk like there’s no tomorrow” the girl just smiled at me like the quarter shape of the moon.
She said “My name is Yuri I have been in the afterlife like about 2 years I think”.
She continued our conversation with a question “Now that you know my name can I ask your name?”
I can’t really answer Yuri since my journey in the afterlife has just began and also there are many mysteries to solve. Eventually the sky was filled with glowing, lovely and delightful stars. It’s time to hit the deck since it’s already late.
Yuri and I slept beside the giant tree while the winds are whispering to our ears giving air that maid our rest cozier and comfy.
Sooner or later I woke up still the stars are just lying in the sky glowing and so beautiful. I saw something weird from the stars, every time I look into the stars it goes brighter and brighter and my vision suddenly was whitish that I can’t even see Yuri or anything.
After few seconds I was riding a train full of people like living in the real world. People are having a chit chat, phones are ringing and buildings all around the places. When I look at the mirror of the train I saw something unexpected.
I’m wearing a stethoscope and a name plate. I remembered that I was a doctor of the hospital near the town. In just a second the train lost its control and all the people were screaming and you can hear the cry of the passengers.
Blood was flowing around the train some did not live some was stuck inside the train including me and some travelers. I helped the travelers some suffered bone fracture and some are in critical state. Many days have passed help was not reachable we need to think of something to be alive. We reserved our water and food but it’s not enough to help all the passengers.
Some died because of dehydration they were dry as the dessert that destroyed their lungs. I was so devastated seeing someone who is suffering without any help is the most painful thing that can a doctor see. After another day no one can move everyone was so dehydrated and hungry, you can hear their cry of hunger.
The passengers screamed for help and they shouted “Please help us have pity on us”.
When I realize the end is near for me I remembered a card inside my wallet for donating organs. I asked all passengers to writer their names in the card. So if all of the passenger will die at least someone can give lives.
A noise was heard by a passenger like a bulldozer making a path to save us. Suddenly helped came to the other survivors but for me it was too late.
I woke up with tears flowing to my eyes. In my mind it was full of mixed emotions.
Yuri woke up and asked me “What happened are you okay”?
I answered her “I remembered who I am and regained all my memories in the land of the living”.
She asked me “So can I ask what’s your name”.
I replied “My name is Arima a former doctor who helps a lot of patients”.
I finally solve one of the problems here in the afterlife so the next challenge to me is meeting peace and my road to the next life. So Yuri and I went to the School of the Everlasting to study and learn. She introduced all of the member of the T.S.A.D.
She introduces all the members first is Fujimaki the planner, Hideki the side kick and Yui the helper. Other members are new they also contribute work against demons. Lastly she introduced me to their leader but before that.
She said “The leader of the T.S.A.D Sakura”.
I was stunned when she introduced me to their leader because she’s the who stabbed me in the heart. I was really angry when saw her face.
Sakura said “It’s nice to meet you welcome to T.S.A.D”. She also apologizes what happened from before. I easily forgive her and we became best friends. Months have passed I have been studying hard in the School of Everlasting with sweat and tears I did my best to graduate. I always go to the headquarters to see Sakura to give myself a motivation.
Sakura and I were peanut butter and jelly since we were inseparable, we always talk to each other and bond a lot every class was finished. After a year the candidate for graduation was announce I was the first to be called as a member of the graduating team.
When the day of graduation is coming a member of T.S.A.D. was scared and nervous he told Sakura to prepare for battle since the demons will collect souls in the incoming graduation ceremony. All the T.S.A.D. members trained hard like no one can train before.
The day of war is coming all were prepared for battle and all students carried guns and weapons to protect their soul and the school. The portal opened then all the scary, fanged and violent demons entered the afterlife. A lot demons was furious to bring souls to Tophet.
The war was bloody but I made sure that all souls will enter Elysium. I helped Sakura to fight against the demons and I’m always by her side to protect her. Gun fires everywhere the weather was dark and dull. Days have pass Sakura made a plan to make the demons leave, she made a giant gun to blast it all to the demons. After blasting all the demons at long last the war was over.
The war was over peace overcomes hatred and the graduation ceremony is under way. The graduation ceremony was held in the gym twenty students graduated including me. One last time I looked at Sakura’s face. Then the graduation ceremony is over all the souls left going to Elysium. The afterlife was at peace and all is in silent mode
Sakura and I took a walk before I leave and go to Elysium.
I told her my feelings “Sakura since day one I want to be with you, please come with me in Elysium”.
She replied, “I can’t go with you”
I replied “why not I will always protect you forever”.
She replied “I can’t because I just want to thank the person who gave me a heart”
I replied “I don’t understand”.
She said “In past years Kami ordered me to leave after life and go to Tophet to save souls. She added “I just want to thank you since you gave me a heart when I was in the living world”.I was crying the like the rain poured and I replied “Promise me someday we will see each other again”.
She was also crying and she replied
“Someday We will”. Then we hug she left and we part ways.
She left me a note “Promise me believe in your heart”.

First and foremost, it saddens and sickens me to hear that yet another Hollywood child star has died. The world woke up to the shocking news this morning that, according to about 20 billion articles online which all contain a freakishly consistent uniformity,
“Cameron Boyce, best known for his roles in a number of Disney Channel films and television shows, has tragically passed away at the age of 20. According to Boyce’s family, the young actor, dancer and singer passed in his sleep after suffering a seizure, the result of an ongoing medical condition.”
This young, absolutely adorable, freckle-faced boy at the beginning of his life is now gone. For good. How are we to make sense of this utterly tragic news? But, what if I told you, like with most if not all child star deaths, all is not what it seems.
What if you knew there was more to the story? A lot more.
It took me less than 20 minutes of digging to connect Cameron Boyce to shady charities involved in child slavery, pedophiles and predators, and dicey elites like Richard Branson. All while the evil overlords at Google seem to have begun dramatically ratcheting up their control of the flow of information. These draconian measures seem to have increased in the past week, which was not a good one for squeaky clean, allegedly family friendly Disney.
https://twitter.com/Tiff_FitzHenry/status/1145017021794529281
Disney megastar Bella Thorne revealed that she was being molested from the time she was 6-14, AND EVERYONE AROUND HER KNEW, AND NO ONE DID ANYTHING.
I want you to think about that for a moment. Let it sink in. Who could or would allow the sexual abuse of a 6 year old to go on? Why might they do this?
Once you begin to allow yourself to mull these horrific questions, and mull them we must, you’ll start to find the timing of Cameron Boyce’s sudden death particularly odd. Are other Disney child stars, with stories like Bella’s to tell, becoming emboldened? Had Cameron experienced similar things? Did those closest to him turn a blind eye? How plausible is it that a person who’s been famous for 11 years dies suddenly of a supposed health condition that’s serious enough to take the life of a perfectly healthy-seeming 20 year old and yet this mystery condition has never been mentioned before? Not anywhere that I can find at least.
Today I just want to present you with 10 relevant facts you likely may not know about Cameron Boyce his career and the people who surrounded him, but as always I want you to draw your own conclusions, think for yourself, and feel free to share your thoughts with me on Twitter.
Start here: Cameron’s IMDB. It is extensive and includes not only a long list of Disney shows and films such as Jessie, Shake It Up, Good Luck Charlie, and the recent Descendants, but also Grown-Ups and Grown-Ups 2, a new TV series called Paradise City (a spin-off of the very obscure and not successful 2017 film American Satan) cause, obviously.
As well as films such as Mirror and Eagle Eye which Cameron starred in alongside fellow former Disney kid Shia LeBeouf
and Cory Booker’s reluctant “girlfriend” Rosario Dawson, whom an inside source has shared with me has no say in the situation whatsoever. A virtual slave.

Alright, here we go.
1. SOCIAL MEDIA DEATH HOAX IN 2017
When you start to understand more deeply that the information that reaches you is being shaped and molded in order to shape and mold YOU, and that celebrity influence is owned and controlled for the very same reason, you’ll begin to look at things like “leaked nudes” and even “death hoax’s and rumors” a little differently. You’ll start to consider that perhaps these are tools used to influence the influencers, to modify behavior when they’re off message, or stray from their instructed course. Here Cameron Boyce and his Descendants co-star Dove Cameron joking about the ‘death hoax.’
But can you imagine anything more traumatizing than seeing headlines tearing across the internet announcing your own death to the world? Consider the possibility that things like fear, humiliation, and loss of control are used to keep celebrities in line. Consider the possibility that this was a veiled threat.
Case in point, the front page headline on Snapchat the very next day after the recent bombshell Bella Thorne interview [posted above] went viral.
The humiliating ‘story’ was snagged from a random Instagram post back in 2016, but it just happened to be front page news the day that articles in major outlets were carrying the story of the revelations from her recent interview.
For the record, Bella herself retweeted the video of her interview from my original tweet. Kinda makes you think, right?
2. MEET KENNY ORTEGA
Friends, if you haven’t heard the name Kenny Ortega, I guarantee that you soon will. He is an A-list Hollywood Choreographer and Director whose #MeToo moment is rumored to be decades overdue. He is the Director of Cameron Boyce’s most recent Disney project, the Descendants (parts 1, 2 and 3) where he played the fictional son of Cruella De Vil.
With a long list of impressive credits including everything from Disney’s Newsies, and the mega-hit High School Musical franchise to Dirty Dancing, and Pretty in Pink, as well as a distinguished run directing iconic music videos and live tours for the likes of Gloria Estefan and Michael Jackson, Kenny Ortega is the Hollywood equivalent of a mafia ‘made man.’ As if to prove it, which the cult loves to publicly do, Netflix (cough cough the C.I.A.) just entered into a very lucrative multi-year overall deal with Ortega, announced April 9th 2019.
So, how does one become a ‘made-man’ in Hollywood?
There are several ways, all of which involve selling your soul.
One way is to appear as the key witness in the $40 million dollar wrongful death lawsuit brought by Michael Jackson’s mother and three children, and lobby on behalf of concert promoter AEG.
‘He wasn’t being very responsible!’ This Is It producer Kenny Ortega testifies Michael Jackson and Conrad Murray were to blame for untimely death
What’s the big deal anyway? Ortega’s longtime ‘friend’ and admitted ‘greatest inspiration’ is already dead, Dr. Murray is in prison and everyone who profited the most off MJ rode off into the proverbial sunset. Zero accountability. Suffice it to say, Kenny Ortega is on Paris Jackson’s very telling shit list, right next to Oprah and David Geffen.
3. CRAZY DAYS AND NIGHTS
Another way to get on the inside of the Hollywood Prison Pyramid is to be a compromised and or compromise-able person (depending on what level you’re at.)
You see, Hollywood might look like it’s about movies and TV shows and acting and stuff, but it’s really just about something called “controlled influence.” It’s about owning and controlling all those who are ‘given’ the platform to influence YOU. In order to get that platform you have to be ‘willing to do anything.’ Even as a screenwriter with several hot projects, I was instructed to say these very words. Words which I was told, in no uncertain terms by my high powered agent, that the head executives at places like ABC (Disney) were waiting to hear me say. Yeah, let that sink in.
And, think about it, isn’t it easier to own people who routinely do things that could put them in jail if anyone ever found out? This is why sick degenerate behavior is rampant amongst the influential. They’re not only enabled to get away with it (see Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Louis C.K., James Gunn, Brett Ratner, Les Moonves, etc.,) criminal behavior is encouraged! Yes, Hollywood and Washington are a cesspool by design! Neat, right? 🙄
It’s my opinion that the death is referring to Cameron, the ‘director’ is Kenny Ortega, and the franchise is High School Musical or the Descendants, where underage actors and actresses were and are being ‘turned out’ — all as a part of this cesspool system. When it comes to the children, it’s the parents who sell their soul on their behalf.
There’s a long list of Creepy Kenny Ortega stuff to dig up, the latest clip wigging people out is his handsy way with Cameron Boyce’s Descendants co-star Dove Cameron.
youtube
Moving on.
4. THE KENNY ORTEGA JEFF BEZOS CONNECTION
As if you needed one more reason to claw and hiss at Kenny Ortega should you ever encounter him, he’s been involved with C.I.A. Amazon Jeff Bezo’s now ex-wife’s ‘anti-bullying’ organization, Bystander Revolution, which she founded in 2014 for whatever dumbass reason.
No seriously I bet this foundation is really changing the world you guys (she said SUPER sarcastically)
5. ORTEGA, EISNER, SANDLER OH MY!
You can learn a lot by who says what, and when. The very first ‘public figures to address Boyce’s death on social media this morning was Kenny Ortega, followed by Disney CEO Michael Eisner, and quickly thereafter by Adam Sandler. Sandler wrote, starred in and produced Grown-Ups and Grown-Ups 2; Cameron Boyce appears in both.
To the keen observer, this little tweet parade felt extremely coordinated, intentional and quite frankly pre-planned.

My Love, Light and Prayers go out to Cameron and his Family. Cameron brought Love, Laughter and Compassion with him everyday I was in his presence. His talent, immeasurable. His kindness and generosity, overflowing. It has been an indescribable honor and pleasure to know and work with him. I will see you again in all things loving and beautiful my friend. I will search the stars for your light. Rest In Peace Cam. You will always be My Forever Boy! 💔

“My forever boy.” Yeah, that’s not creepy at all. Ortega later clarified that this was a Peter Pan reference, which makes it even worse if you understand the pedophile troupes in Peter Pan.

Nice picture Adam, real subtle. Don’t worry, you’re ‘signal’ has been sent and received.
Adam is being such a good cabal puppet these days ya’ll.
Here you see he’s being rewarded:
Netflix reveals 30M accounts viewed Adam Sandler-led ‘Murder Mystery’
At a time when box office is limping along like the terminally wounded wildebeest it is, allegedly this film would have CRUSHED opening weekend, had it been released at the box office of course, which it wasn’t. I guess we’ll just have to take Netflix’s word for it since they (somehow) get to keep all their data to themselves for whatever as yet explained or justified reason! 👍
Now that I think about it, there’s someone else who does that too. They’re really powerful and super secretive, who is that again? Oh that’s right, it’s the C.I.A.! (Netflix is the C.I.A.)
I’m sure the fact that Murder Mystery was filmed at cabal kingpin George Clooney’s favorite lake in Italy where weird high brow art/child trafficking things go down, and written by an actual fucking Vanderbilt has nothing to do with anything.
I’m sure all that’s random. It’s not like there’s this handful of psychopathic elite bloodline families feasting on the blood of children who’ve held humanity hostage for generations or whatever.
Alright, onward internet friends. As you may have noticed, there are thousands of images of Cameron Boyce online. You have to really search to find this one where he’s got two fingers framing his left eye and covering his mouth, as if he’s been silenced by some group (hint: see above paragraph).
Well done, Adam. Good thinking choosing this picture to post alongside your tribute. This might even get you an Emmy nomination. You see, Adam isn’t bloodline, so he has to do stuff like this to keep his cult membership in good standings.
Note another very recent sudden celebrity death. This is Mac Miller’s final Instagram photo, which posted just hours before his death by ‘accidental overdose.’
Well would you look at that, 2 fingers framing his left eye, and his mouth covered. Almost as if it’s a sign to others not to speak out or they’ll whack you
Here’s the final Instagram picture Cameron “allegedly” posted of himself, also just hours before his death. There’s that left eyes again. Hmmmm.
6. CREEPY JOE BIDEN
Cameron introduced former Vice President Joe Biden at his Biden Courage Awards back in March. Today, Biden tweeted his condolences.
https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1147991178689810437
I think we can all agree that children and Joe Biden don’t mix.
youtube
6. HE RECENTLY FIRED HIS AGENT OVER SEX ASSAULT CHARGES
After Stranger Things child star Finn Wolfhard fired APA agent Tyler Grasham over sexual abuse allegations which came to light, Cameron, who was also represented by Grasham, fired him the same week.
However, in predictable Pedowood fashion, the LA prosecutor won’t prosecute the felony rape charges from multiple accusers. Now it looks like he’s escaped criminal charges altogether, and Hollywood is even looking at rehiring him in a talent agent capacity.
At this point, there’s no disputing that Hollywood protects pedophiles. The question you should be asking yourself is, why?
7. RECENTLY DISCUSSED THE DARK DAYS
“For about a year of my life, if I didn’t have to leave my house, I wouldn’t,” he said in a recent interview of his darkest period. “It was a bad way of dealing with fame, but it’s a scary feeling to know that everybody is looking at you all the time.” Cameron has learned to cope with it, though, and is adamant that he’ll use his platform of over 7 million Instagram followers for good. He’s started working with a charity called The Thirst Project, and is spreading the word about the group’s push to bring clean water to millions around the world who desperately need it.”
8. THE THIRST PROJECT / WE CHARITY
It appears that Cameron Boyce was involved with two separate but equally suspicious charities (side note: charities are just slush funds for rich people).
The Thirst Project’s list of partners includes the notoriously dicey Clinton Charities among multiple Hollywood studios. By its own admission they appear to be all about water but in reality focus most heavily on tailoring curriculum to influence political activism in school children in the United States (which is what the very powerful are most focused on right now).
Similarly, WE Charity, formerly known as Free The Children, is “an international development charity and youth empowerment movement founded in 1995 by human rights advocates Marc and Craig Kielburger. The organization implements development programs in Asia, Africa and Latin America, focusing on education, water, health, food and economic opportunity. It also runs domestic programming for young people in Canada, the U.S. and U.K., promoting service learning and active citizenship.”
So, the same thing.
This link is a must read eye-opening article about the 2 brothers who started We Charities – The Cult of Kielburger
We Charity – connected to child slavery
We Charity is connected to Unilever, Microsoft
We Charity – connected to Richard Branson. The brothers co-authored a book with Holly Branson, daughter of Richard Branson. Richard and Holly also produced the docu-series Shameless Idealist with the We Charity founders.
I am certain there is much more to be unearthed down the rabbit hole of these two charitable foundations/elite slush funds. For Cameron’s part there’s a good chance he was either unaware of the corruption or if he was aware, involvement was not his choice but a decision that was made for him.
Side note, Necker Island (Branson’s) is about thirty five miles from Epstein’s island.
You know Jeffrey Epstein who was arrested Saturday and being arraigned as we speak for running an international child sex trafficking operation to entice, entrap and ensnare elites particularly in Hollywood, DC and the UK, in order for even more powerful people to control their influence. His indictment was unsealed at 9am this morning.
Is it all connected?
9. HOLLYWOOD GAY MAFIA
Michael Ovitz, once President of Disney and founder of Hollywood mega agency CAA, who was run out of town, famously said that Hollywood is run by a cabal led by Dreamworks co-founder David Geffen which Ovitz described as the “gay mafia.”
Here’s a little deep dive on Geffen/Oprah
In addition to Geffen, the list he rattled off of this “gay mafia” included The New York Times Hollywood correspondent Bernie Weinraub, Disney Chairman (and former employer) Michael Eisner; Bryan Lourd, Kevin Huvane, and Richard Lovett, partners at CAA, Universal Studios president Ronald Meyer (Ovitz’s former partner at CAA); and Barry Diller.
In regard to Cameron, I can’t help but think twice about the very first episode of Disney show Jessie, his break out role. For a good portion of the episode, he’s in his underwear.
youtube
It is no secret that young boys are systemically abused in Hollywood, but how deep does all this really go?
10. DEBBY RYAN
Cameron’s Jessie co-star Debby Ryan started her career on Barney and Friends
Alongside future Disney starlets Selina Gomez
And Demi Lovato
If you remember, the actor who played Barney was arrested for selling child pornography of children as young as 10.
After that, Debby Ryan had a stint on the Disney show Suite Life on Deck for which Disney hired Brian Peck to work as dialogue coach with the kids, after he’d been to jail for child molestation and was a registered sex offender.
Yes, you heard that right.
Disney hired a convicted child sex predator and registered sex offender to work on their children’s show. Did I mention he was hired specifically to work with children?
Brian Peck remains a registered sex offender to this day and was still being employed by Hollywood as recently as 2016.
Ryan was also featured on The Jonas Brother’s, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana before getting her big break and a starring role in her own Disney Channel show, Jessie.
We’ve all watched the personal issues Gomez, Lovato and Debby Ryan have had over the years. It’s time we understand what we’re looking at, a system I call The Prison Pyramid.
Conclusion
I hope you’ll dig further into all these data points and start to connect all the dots that need connecting. Cameron Boyce’s death strikes at the heart of why I’m building a new Hollywood.
Love and Light to all.
In Unconditional Love,
Tiffany
Cameron Boyce, Pedowood, and The Disney Death Machine First and foremost, it saddens and sickens me to hear that yet another Hollywood child star has died.
