my relationship with tumblr

i feel like i should do a yapping session bc i havent in a while and this topic keeps popping up in my brain so im gonna take u thru a journey of what my relationship with tumblr has been like for the last. Eons.

to start, right now i fucking love tumblr so much- i have genuinely never enjoyed posting on an app more and like don't get me wrong im sure this one has its issues, as does every social media app, but this one to me is at least the most tolerable.

my relationship with ig is mid at best, i like it but it's kinda lame and posting on it???? Bro i post like MAYBE once a year at best.

my relationship with twitter is pure hate and also non-existent bc i got so sick and tired of it that i caved and uninstalled it like a month or so ago and haven't wanted to go back on it since.

my relationship with tiktok is also mid at best, posting is closer to a chore tbh even though i dont do it regularly at all- i also get stressed trying to keep up with reach and stuff so i kinda just dont 😵‍💫

my relationship with facebook is non-existent.

my relationship with pinterest??? God bless that app but i dont post on it- i just go there for editing content and silly content, that's it.

This app tho??? God bless. I barely even scroll on it- i mostly come here to post, which makes it the only one of it's kind on my phone (90% posting, 10% scrolling)

but when i do scroll on it, it's so refreshing- i just see pretty space pics and stuff bc that's what i wanna see. i dont see argument after argument or cancellable offense after cancellable offence like on twitter, i dont see lame stupid stuff that im not interested in like on ig, and i dont get over/understimulated out of my mind like on tiktok.

However! This was not always the case for me with tumblr. in fact, it used to be quite the opposite!!!!

i used to hate tumblr with every fiber of my being- if i ever came to it, it was out of desperation. desperation for silly content (which funnily enough is kinda what drove me back to it after all these years)

it was overcomplicated, i hated the vibe of everything i saw, i hated how public it felt, etc- But ofc this was way back when i had a horrifically foggy head on my shoulders and barely knew who i was so 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

it felt claustrophobic for me back then, like literally somehow- and now it feels very comfy and i love the idea of just sitting down and writing a post on astrology or posting my image edits or even my fallout photography or sumn-

it just feels like the perfect place for me somehow- Like i can write abt whatever, write abt astrology, post photography, post edits, look at space stuff, whatever!!! it makes me feel more like an artist bc it gives me a space to do everything i wanna do

and omg dont even get me STARTED on the customization for each blog u can have BROOOOOOOOOO that's literally my favorite part- i fucking LOVE changing my whole blog's vibe down to the FONT dude it genuinely makes me so happy 😭😭😭😭😭

and who knows!!!! i might even end up with another blog at some point for like writing short stories or something bc i do love doing that- definitely wouldn't fit in with this yapping blog tho But another blog means another one to customize!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Well one of the bad guys’ catchphrases in Spiderman PS4 when they fight Spidey is “that’s gonna leave a mark“ and I thought it was very fitting. I know it’s a common phrase outside of that too but I really like it that way.

this is a sideblog, unfortunately tbh. I wish I could send asks/reply from this blog. My main blog is @sephs-ghost where i mostly reblog art and aesthetic stuff and I also got @mortal-ghost for my music stuff that I pretty much never post on and @ghostesques for my photography that I haven’t posted on in probably years. I’m way more active on Instagram for that stuff. can you tell i like ghosts?

oh damn i just checked on tumblr stats and my first blog was created in november 2012. i was 13 what was i doing on here. this blog was made in december 2018 i think.

Well I havent posted about my a3! x pokemon au in a while. I have a lot of thoughts about it, but never got myself to post any of them. For now here are some of my shorter headcanons and my last update on everyone’s teams. Ive made some changes since then, but i wont post another update until i decide on evolutions and when they were caught

Yuki’s buneary is a stubborn brat. Its the most misbehaved pokemon on his team and one he caught recently. All his other pokemon are pretty well-mannered which is pretty surprising at how sassy yuki tends to be. All of yuki’s pokemon are all male

Azami’s pawniard was his first pokemon and a gift from his dad on his 10th birthday. His dad thought it was a pokemom befitting a yakuza but maybe one thats covered in blades and takes a long time to evolve wasnt a good idea. It’s pretty loyal towards azami, but it tries to keep its distance after it accidentally hurt him. It’s a kuudere that would like cuddles but, again, covered in knives :/ When azami’s pawniard eventually evolves into bisharp, he gives it a back hug since he can now easily avoid getting cut.

Sakyo’s caught his persian as a meowth back in high school. He was doing a delivery job when a bothersome meowth pounced on him while passing through an allyway. He thought it’d leave him alone if he picked a different route, but it somehow always found him. It just loved his reactions. Eventually sakyo caught it out of desperation. It likes accompanying him on jobs and harassing clients that have yet to pay their debts (rip matsukawa)

Izumi’s politoed was initially a poliwag that her dad caught for her when she was younger. It didn’t properly become her’s until she was 10, but it helped keep an eye on her when her parents were busy. It was with her when she visited mankai for the first time, and it was actually able to recognize sakyo when he and izumi had their reencounter. It let izumi figure that out for herself, but looking back on it her poliwirl seemed pretty happy whenever sakyo did his check-ins

Tbh one of the reasons why izumi didn’t recognize sakyo was because of his pokemon. When they first met as kids sakyo had a spearow, ratatta, and a nincada (that soon evolved into a ninjask). But izumi didnt see any of them until he moved into the dorms and only saw him with a persian.

Kazunari has a separate instagram for his pokemon and its pretty popular. His raichu and jolteon have a competitive relationship and try to get kazunari to take pics that’ll get them the most likes. His smeargle isnt as popular as the other two, but has a pretty strong following for its unique artwork. Kazunari has posted some of their collabs on his main account as well

One time when hisoka’s wooloo was having a depressive episode and it spent nearly a week aimlessly rolling around the hallways and bumping off the walls. Yuki started getting annoyed at the noise and did some research before shearing the pokemon and knitting some clothes for it and hisoka. It was actually appeared a bit happier afterwards and hisoka was enjoying how soft his new sweater was

Itaru’s rotom was actually found in one of the cartridges after he went out on a vintage video game haul. Although he has to be careful of getting caugh, in exchange for some treats, itaru asks rotom to possess the fridge in the kitchen before he shuts in to game. Sometimes when it wants itaru’s attention, it’ll possess whatever device hes using and mess with him. Actually, Rotom once tried to get into chikage’s computer out of curiosity but it was already rotom proofed rip

Chikage’s delphox was gifted to him as a fennikin by august when he first joined the Organization. The same happened with hisoka, he was gifted a froakie which is currently a frogadier. August had a chesnaught, which was as much as a busybody as he was.

When Yukio disappeared, he left two pokemon behind at mankai. A shiny chatot named kamekichi, and a klefki. Matsukawa sometimes uses them in battle, but since they’re not his they often do their own thing and join in battles as they please.

I've been dying to read the minho fic you posted a whole back and it's new sequel bc hes my bias and we need more good minho fics. I love your world building, by the way. Like a ton. You helped my find a missing fic on here a while ago (it turned out to be eye of heaven) I loved it. I think I've read every single drabble (I try to heart every time) but sometime i come back just to be sure i havent missed any, esp when a bias wrecker comes calling and I want content. Tbh you're really good. Good enough youd never have to write for us for free. But I'm grateful that you do.

I confess, I dont get to engage with your longer works as much as I want to (if you ever wanna do chapters that would be fun bc it gives you a way to find your way back to the spot you left off reading easier 🥺).

But like, your descriptions are super good, your world building is awesome. I I'm too take the time really READ it not just skim it.

But, I'm sorry you havent felt appreciated bc honestly you're more engaging to me than a lot of published novelists. If you dont want to write because its not bringing you enjoyment or positive feedback, I understand. But you deservse to at least know how amazing and talented you are. I see other blogs talk about you and tag you a ton. But even so, to be honest I feel like the best writers on here often get overlooked you among them. So I understand, but please know: you are amazingly talented. I'll honestly be really sad if you go, but we arent entitled to your hard work and effort, and I get that. And know if you ever write original fiction I'd be down for it.

Anyway. Sorry this was long. And sorry I havent gotten to see some of your longer works yet but I at least want you to know u see them, and I plan too. i realized i had been typing up zelda blogging into notepad for like a week plus without posting, cause i didn’t wanna post everyday once i finished the main story? but then it got SUUUPER long. i waited for it to kinda taper down since now i’m mostly down to completionist stuff, and since it has, i’m gonna post it & just do small posts if i decide to blog abt anything else.

i ran into a blue? silver? lynel and got trapped fighting it on my way out of hyrule castle AND KILLED IT!! yay!!

i checked the shrine out next to it, since i was only activating them near the end and not DOING them

and they've gotten way more complex

now i understand when the monks commend your resourcefulness like before i was like, pls. that was way too easy. literally anyone could have done that

jesus FUCKING christ i went out to see the ranch ruins with epona and i got attacked by a guardian, a yiga clan member, and two silver bokoblins on horseback

FINALLY fought them off, terrified the entire time something would happen to epona, and i got attacked by three stal moblins

fought THEM off and there's a stal bokoblin on a stalhorse! but i can't catch it or ride it because of all times, the blood moon is rising!! j e s u s c h r i s t

now i've gotta get on my horse and get the hell out of dodge before those things come back to hurt her

i was thinking of a nice relaxing-if-sad trip before bed but no i gotta come back on FOOT to kill these guys AGAIN and then bring her back during the DAY so we can properly look around

ugh i just had to restart an entire shrine bc i dropped my korok leaf at the last second bc i was trying to open all the chests and i had to go back and get my good spear that i had to drop to get the korok leaf in the first room...but i needed the korok leaf to get back to the end!!!!!

finally fully upgraded my armor & i never wanna see another dragon again

they kept failing to spawn where they were supposed to and the only one who spawns reliably/is easy to hit/doesn’t send scales flying 100000 miles away is farosh, naydra and dinraal are absolutely horrible, naydra in particular has nowhere you can fast-travel to, you have to fast-travel to a nearby shrine and then walk a good distance no matter where you drop in at. naydra was also the most finnicky about showing up when she was supposed to

at least i figured out i can use a flame sword instead of fire arrows to light campfires

getting honey was pretty easy there’s a fuckton next to those hinox brothers and acorns are kinda everywhere

the beetles were a little more tedious but once i put them on my sensor not too bad...the worst part was turning beedle down every time he wanted one because he does a LONG speech that is SUPER annoying after the 100th time and you’re just trying to buy arrows

anyway im gonna go test the defense

and both of those things obviously guarantee that you see EVERY INCH of this huge and exapansive and beautiful world, but i feel like if i forced myself to keep going and doing it i would learn to hate the game a little bit lmao. lowkey feel like that’s adding fake hours onto your game for something that stop being fun and turns into absolute tedium, but i guess i can understand wanting to give completionist players a reason to see EVERYTHING

we’ll just see how i feel - i still have quite a few sidequests left, and while i don’t wanna burn thru them too quickly (bc again, after they’re over my interest will drop dramatically) i also still wanna fight the minibosses and upgrade as much of my armor as i am able to
