Steve already knew Wakanda was amazing. He's been here often since they fled Siberia and T'Challa had granted amnesty to Bucky, and any of the other former Avengers who needed a place to hide. Steve wasn't hiding, though, even if he was keeping a much lower profile these days until such a time presented itself that he had to stand up and be seen again. Still, he'd yet to visit the countryside, and there isn't any other person in the world he'd rather just sit and enjoy the view with. There isn't a person in the world he's sure he could relax with like this. And Bucky is healing finally. It makes Steve's chest ache with a strange combination of happiness and relief and almost painful yearning he's done his damnedest to ignore over the years.

He only nods at Bucky's question, the awe on his face obvious. He wonders if he'll ever have time to just sit and draw any number of amazing views here, but glances over at Bucky at the nudge. He exhales something like a laugh, inclining his head as he looks away again. "Yeah, well, no rest for the wicked, right?" he jokes, but his voice is soft and he looks back at Bucky as he lets out a content sounding sigh. Steve can't help but smile softly, both at how peaceful he looks and at the question that follows. "Like when we were kids?" he asks, and wonders if Bucky remembers. "There's nothin' I'd rather do."

Saturday, 10/23/2021: (Adrienette) A Grand Misunderstanding - Marinette regretted not telling Adrien how she felt. She waited too long, and he moved on…or did he? At Nino and Alya’s wedding, Marinette finds out that she might not have missed her chance after all. Fate gives her another shot at telling her partner the truth and making him the happiest cat in town.

This is the one that I was referring to as the “PRPR DJ WiFi Wedding Adrienette” one-shot. XD I talked about it more here and here.

Saturday, 10/30/2021: (Lady Noir and Adrienette) In the Shadow of Truth - When an akuma attack leaves the heroes unable to detransform and the kwamis stuck in human form, secrets are spilled and identities unravel, leaving Adrien and Marinette to pick up the pieces of their relationship.

This is the one I referred to as the “Plagg and Wayzz Prompt” story in my The Plan(TM) post. I finally finished it! ^w^ I’m pretty happy with how it turned out too. I broke it into three separate chapters instead of keeping it as a one-shot like I first thought it would be. It got kind of long. ^.^;

Sunday, 11/14/2021: (Lukadrien) Perfect Fifth - Adrien is distressed at his inability to get sex jokes and tired of hearing that he’ll understand when he’s older. Luka comforts him and assures him that he’s perfect as he is.

This idea just randomly came to me while I was out walking, and it amused me, so I wrote it. Luka’s teaching Adrien to play cello and says “spread your legs”...and, yeah. This one is for people like me who don’t understand sexual humor.

Sunday, 11/21/2021: (Adrienette and Marichat) Who’s Thirsty? - 

“I don’t sound too thirsty, do I?” Marinette inquired anxiously as Alya read over her confession letter to Adrien.

Overhearing his friend in distress, Adrien stopped, quirking his head to the side and asking in concern, “You’re thirsty, Marinette?”

In which Adrien doesn’t know what “thirsty” means, and Marinette ends up explaining it to Chat Noir…with surprisingly favorable consequences.

This is the one I was talking about here. I just randomly had this idea getting out of the shower, and it amused me, so I wrote it.

Sunday, 11/28/2021: (Lukanette) Request Piece Like Piano for Four Hands - This one doesn’t have an official summary or title yet, but someone asked me to do a Lukanette piece like my Adrienette story Piano for Four Hands. Basically, Marinette is feeling stressed and lost, and she comes across Luka playing a calming song on guitar. They talk, and he teaches her to play a song on the harp. They play a duet together, and it’s really cute.

I’m kind of out of my element because I don’t usually write Lukanette outside of a Lukadrienette or Lukadrigaminette context. ^.^; I think this turned out well, though. I guess we’ll see what people think when I post it.

no tddup spoilers for me since I'm still going to binge it but how are you feeling about working with Young Jack MOB? Between those gloves and suspender I already liking him and that can be a problem. In tddup your married you might be safe because your spouse knows you and has a relationship with you. Roy seems scary to me and Xander seems sweet. do i trust who i assume is nice and risk being hurt? Or is it safer to trust someone who doesn't appear to be as nice?

I will keep thisspoiler free for you :P  I’m superexcited to be working with young Jack! So far he’s turning out to be one of Puke’s most dynamic characters.  Without spoiling anything, you’re going tofind that after playing TDDUP, YoungJack and Old Jack are two.different.animals.  Trust me, you’re going to notice this rightaway.  Jack appears to change a lot overthe years…but then again, MOB has not come out yet, so how many differencesthere are in personality and behavior, we have yet to see.

When it comes toPuke’s characters, there’s…KIND OF a trend I could say you should watch out,but this trend may not apply to MOB due to it being a different type of game(again, spoilerfree below).

1)     Puke’s usual character patterns

I won’t list names of characters here…but I’m gonna warnyou:  They all fit in the “appearancescan be deceiving” category.  Thinkingabout BTD, BTD2, and TDDUP, the characters created by ElectricPuke, all hischaracters vary widely.  Some are forward,some are standoff-ish, some are elegant, and some are vulgar.  Thinking about two of Puke’s characters ingeneral that contrast each other a lot, one of Puke’s most dangerous is probablythe most alluring one, and one of Puke’s sweetest is actually one whoimmediately comes off as the type that you don’t want to associate withwhatsoever.  So I might say…you’re better off going out with the onethat comes off as “worse” rather than “benign” at first?

But the problem isthat if I declared that a set rule for all of his characters, you have tosquint a little maybe to see it that way for some.  Also, there’s the small matter where the BTD,BTD2, and TDDUP games were designed specifically to showcase some bad people(so they’re all kind of…nasty by default, haha).

You can’t even always guess Puke’s character’s preferencesright away.  “A” doesn’t always equal “B”in this case, and regardless of how cold or sadistic his characters are, theyreact differently to MC’s actions.  Youmay assume based on a character’s personality that “oh! they must want someonewho’s more submissive” or “more resistant” or even “more playful.”  That’s not always true.  Some have preferences yes, but that doesn’tmean they don’t welcome a sudden change in behavior.  Though it can be tricky (sometimes evendeadly) if you choose to “surprise” the character suddenly and you get it wrong.

I guess what I’m trying to say here is you can’t easily tellhow Puke’s characters view the MC, or what they want to see in an MC.

At least this is kind of what I think about with Puke’scharacters at the moment, but I’m not the creator himself.  He’ll make more characters and eventuallythere won’t be any distinguished pattern. It’ll probably just be a “lucky guess” if you get a character who’sbetter or worse than you thought they were gonna be in the future.

2)     Why these character patterns don’tnecessary apply to MOB

Look, with the BTD games, and TDDUP, those were horror gameswhere you were told outright that the characters in them were horrible to beginwith.  They WERE the villains.  MOB’s a different animal.  We actually DON’T know who the villain isthis time around.  We’re trying to catchthem actually.  Some sadistic serialkiller is on the loose and you have to work with your team to find out who itis.  Puke does have a killer in mind Ibelieve, but this time around I don’t think he’s going to drop any hintswhatsoever who it is because well…why make it a murder mystery if you’re goingto spoil it before the game even comes out?

So I think with MOB…it’s safe to assume that you are indeedworking with the “good guys.”  After theprevious games though, and with the presence of a certain someone *eyes Jack*, I can see why you might behesitating and worrying about who to pick as a partner.

3)     My opinion on which characters are “safe”choices

Actually I think for the most part you should be fine.  I get the feeling there’s gonna be moreconsequences based on you not being able to solve the case, rather than havingpicked a bad partner (with the exception of…well I’ll get to him).  I’m going to assume you’ve at least read theBio’s for Puke’s characters here, but will still try to keep these brief.

Roy- The funnypart is, regardless of if you follow the rule I stated in the first part (whereyou want to go with someone who seems “worse” at the start), or what I saidabout the game design in the second part…I think that means in both situationsthat Roy is going to be a safe choice XD If he looks meaner, and this is MOB, not TDDUP or BTD, you might besurprised at how well this could go. We’ll have to wait and see though.

Xander- So if wewent by the first rule, I’d say “be cautious.” If we went by the second rule, I’d say “you’re fine.”  I’m leaning more towards this being a case ofthe second rule where he’s not going to turn out blood thirsty because itdoesn’t call for that with this particular game.  Xander might have a “freak out,” but based onhis bio I think it’s going to end up being more of a case where his traumastarts to show.  We’ll see, but I thinkhe’s going to be another safe bet.

Alice- I could saythe same exact think about Alice as I just said about Xander.  She’s bubbly, and I haven’t even seen a hintanywhere on Puke’s blog that she’s got a cruel bone in her body.  No real mention of trauma yet either.  How strange, Puke usually has SOMETHING upwith his characters *scratches chin*.  I kid, we’re probably good here too :P  I genuinely don’t think she’s got anyskeletons in her closest because Puke actually doesn’t have a lot of characterslike those, and he may want to try a sweet bean for once J  I’d say a little more about what I THINKmight happen with her, but keeping this spoilerfree :P

Jack- …you gobinge Jack’s route in TDDUP, and THEN you tell me if you think this is going togo well with Young Jack.  TDDUP is Jackas a final product, keep that in mind. Young Jack in MOB is honestly going to be interesting.  While I don’t find suspenders intimidating, Idon’t think you should let that fool you. If he’s nasty to you at the start, usually the first rule would applyhere meaning he’d potentially be a good choice. But this guy…this is a wild card. He might behave fine because we’re trying to catch a bigger criminal atthe moment, so you have nothing to worry about. But we don’t know if he has his own agenda yet.  Out of the 4, I can’t guarantee your safetyhere with this one XD

But let’s see how you work together with all of them in thegame.  Should be fun!  By the way, I had another ask awhile agoabout my thoughts on Young Jack you might like, but ONLY READ IT AFTER YOU FINISHTDDUP JACK.  There are MAJOR SPOILERS Italk about in the ask.  But it can giveyou a little more food for thought.  Linkhere.

AoS Rewatch: Season 1, episode 1

Director Puppyface, here! As Agent Piper has mentioned previously, the admins decided to rewatch the pilot episode together, and provide our “live” commentary. It’s been edited slightly as we tend to get off topic often when we’re together :) but I’ve tried to include all the good bits! I hope you enjoy. We had a lot of fun going back to the beginning of it all, and it’s truly amazing to see how far this show - and our two favorite heroes - have come. Without further ado, our commentary beneath the cut!

-- Agent Piper: Mike and Ace’s “We’re a team!” talk! *feels*

-- Agent Patriot: Mike did a superhero landing which is totally bad for the knees -- Agent Piper: I WAS JUST GOING TO SAY THAT

-- Director Puppyface: Okay I’ve got to get this out here. Hill’s quote that “the death of a common ally is a particularly effective team builder.” *crying emojis* -- Agent Piper: SADNESS -- Agent Patriot: :(

We can also tell just how much of themselves they’ve had to bury over the years... -- Director Puppyface: It’s even more astounding watching this after this last season. -- Agent Patriot: Phil’s so cocky and smug about out-witting Skye, who he considers to be “good”. -- Agent Piper: I love that he said they needed “better”, so they picked up Skye. -- Director Puppyface: He was slain by her from the very beginning. -- Agent Patriot: Yessss -- Agent Piper: Teehee!

-- Agent Patriot: So this is showing us that Skye is very observant, noticing everything, and having huge crushes on heroes... just like Phil. Lol -- Agent Piper: We must prepare ourselves for all the flirting they’re about to do.

-- [Collective gushing over the awesomeness of LOLA, and how we all miss her.]

-- Cue side discussion about the show giving us numerous age-gap relationships: May and Ward, Cal and Jiaying, the Asgardian professor (who’s a bit of a mirror for Phil! We’ll get into that later though) and his student, even Phil and Audrey.

-- Agent Piper: If we ever got a Skoulson kiss, where would they go from there? It would be a good ending to the series. The heroes find love and that’s the end. -- Agent Patriot: That would be awesome if it was endgame. Smitten from the start and smitten at the end. -- Director Puppyface: It would be a good end. Like X-Files (the first end, I mean. Lol). All the tension and don't actually become official until the end. It's a nice little gift for all the pain and strife over the years

[While comparing Season 1 Phil with Season 4 Phil]: -- Director Puppyface: Poor Phil. So hot. So troubled. -- Agent Piper: He comes with more baggage than a commercial flight to Disneyland. -- Director Puppyface: OMG -- Agent Patriot: lmao

-- Director Puppyface: Skye saying “I was kidnapped by your style” to Phil XD -- Agent Piper: Heh heh. That’s kinky. -- Director Puppyface: How is that not a line? That’s totally a line. -- Agent Piper: That’s absolutely a line.

-- Agent Patriot: Coulson XD “I’m sorry, did that hurt?” He’s so cocky. -- Director Puppyface: Skye is totes turned on by Phil right now -- Agent Piper: Totally. -- Director Puppyface: So much Coulson smirking! -- Agent Piper: He’s so snarky and smirky I love it. I miss that too. I love how protective of Skye he is already when Mike takes her. -- Director Puppyface: Phil just strolls through the room already on the same wavelength as Skye
