Okay, here’s a thought I haven’t seen anyone bring up: have you ever wondered what the liquid from Killer’s eyes sockets might taste like? I read somewhere (not sure if it's canon) that this liquid might burn human skin, but I’m not so sure.

And I’m not talking about tasting it by putting a bit on your tongue with your thumb; I mean directly licking it from the source (I feel dirty saying this).

I just finished The Magnus Archives for the first time last week! And thought it might be fun to compile the episodes that scared me the most and see which ones spooked the rest of the fandom as well!

#the magnus archives #tma #Guess which entity I dislike most #Spoiler alert it’s the one that’s nearly half the list #I had to replace a couple because I realized 6 of the 10 options were corruption and that wasn’t that fun a poll #Suprisingly though the Corruption isn’t reaponsible for the scariest episode in my mind #for me it’s 100% The Bone Turner’s Tale that story terrifies me so much.#And it’s really the only flesh episode to do that #Hell by the time of the Garden I kinda liked Jared. But for the fear that episode awakened in me he will always be known as The Bonebitch #Also I had to try really hard to find a scary episode of S5 #None of the other ones like actually affected me. Grossed me out perhaps but none of them really got me… frightened like S1 did.#It still took me ages to finish because I don’t like stories ending but… suprisingly it’s probably the breeziest season for me?#poll

I forgot that I was gonna post a comparison between my first and latest drawing of our Habit, oops. The comparison of how Habit draws himself/sees himself vs. how I draw/"see" him is so funny to me tho. Like, my version is a moose sized fluffy wolf, and his is a fucking Eldrich horror alien dog.

The art style is so different too, since with the one on the left both Habit and I drew it, so it was kinda all over the place (I think he did the sketch and lineart and left me to figure out the colouring? I don't really remember) whereas the one on the right I drew all myself. And just generally I've gotten better at using my drawing tablet over time, so there's that.

He was still trying to be scary at the time we first drew him, too, so he chose to draw himself "mid shape shift" or whatever, so he could be like "see, I'm horrifying"

The characters are interesting.#I liked the way they just kinda immediately into swapping species and enjoyed their new forms no big deal.#I found the writing a bit boring/simple - and like. lacking atmosphere and worldbuilding.#Like when the two meet their dialogue immediately took me out of it - it was like two people meeting on the street #not two people from entirely different species. I feel like it skips over what could have been some interesting cultural differences #their first interaction is the human being grossed out by seeing a mermaid eating raw fish?#like she’s specifically grossed out by the ‘eating raw fish’ part of it? what did you think they’d eat? also you live in a fantasy seaside #there’s no way you wouldn’t be acquainted with the grossness of fish even if you don’t eat it raw????#I kinda wish it had drawn out just the two of them rather than bringing the prince storyline into it.#He was such a silly villain who I couldn’t really take seriously - and I didn’t understand why she didn’t just run away or attack him?#He didn’t feel like an actual threat.#I read this bc one of the characters is demi-aroace and it was fine I guess if only very briefly referenced. I feel like they got together #though I did appreciate the ‘I’ve never before #but I feel like I could love her one day” when they got together rather than her immediately flipping from nothing to In Love #There was a bit where a side character said to her something along the lines of: ‘oh you CAN love; i just wasn't the right person;#there’s nothing wrong with you after all’. which.
