12:15 AM - Megumi Fushiguro
summary: two teens who are in stupid love with each other.
wc: 1.2k words
Tumblr media
you were laying in your dorm, just staring at the ceiling. glancing toward the clock on your nightstand, the time read 12:15 AM. sighing, you turned your gaze back to the ceiling. resuming your count of every divet and memorizing each cobweb. the only noise you could hear was your fan that was oscillating in the room. closing your eyes, you tried to fall asleep once more.
a few minutes go by and all of a sudden, you hear your phone buzzing. leaning over to grab it off your nightstand, you squint at the bright light, trying to read the caller ID.
megumi is calling...
answer or decline
you debated on letting it ring, telling yourself that sleep is more important. you do have that quiz tomorrow that you studied your evening away for.
you continued to look at your phone, trying to make a decision. tapping the green button, you raise the phone up to your ear, answering with a groggy hello.
"did i wake you?" his voice rang deep as it came through the receiver.
you rolled onto your back, "no, you didn't. i couldn't sleep anyways."
you hear shuffling at the other end. "neither could i."
there was a pause.
"i miss you."
you giggled. "megumi, you just saw me at dinner." he huffs out air "and? am i not allowed to miss my girlfriend?"
you smiled at the way he said it. the term still sounding so different coming from his mouth. so matter-o-fact. you two haven't been dating long, only a few months. the pining started way before that though. you both agreed to take it at your own pace, deciding to tell the others at a later date. until you were both ready to share the other with the world, as a couple. it's been so tranquil, just you and him basking in each other's energy. nobody putting their nose in your business. slowly knowing every detail about the other, becoming one.
"you are, i just wasn't expecting you to be this dramatic about it. maybe gojo rubbed off on you more than you thought" you teased him.
he could hear that smirk in your voice. hell, he can picture it in his mind right now. that smirk that seems to pull him in. a simple tilt of your head and he's captivated by whatever you will say or do next. how you hold yourself, the way you treat others, the way you treat him. he doesn't know what he did to ever deserve a shining light like you.
"don't ever insult me like that again."
you laughed at the sarcasm dripping from his voice. "i miss you too, honey."
he smiled big at that. you turn his heart into a roaring fire. filling his chest with an indescribable warmth. you are the only one able to turn his blank expression into a readable one. you make him feel things that he didn't think he would ever feel.
being a sorcerer, not every day is guaranteed. when you both discovered the crush you harbored for each other, it was different. how do you even approach that? you thought nobody would want to be with someone whose life seemed so...temporary. megumi was always certain he would die young simply because that's part of the job description. death was always an inevitable possibility. he believed that he would never experience true love or happiness or whatever it is they talk about in the media. yet here you were, in the flesh right before him. your smile so bright it was blinding, and the way your eyes looked at him with complete adoration? for the first time in megumi's life, he decided to be selfish with his own wants. he chose the security that you provided him. when he got one small taste of you, he wasn't letting you go.
"can i come over?"
this had become a habit. megumi coming to your dorm in the late hours of the night, only to sneak back at dawn. you worried what would happen if he was caught, but every time you said yes to him. you were addicted to his presence. he was so gentle with you and you felt safe with him. forgetting the everyday horrors of being a sorcerer just long enough while you lay in his arms. when it's you and him, the outside world ceases to exist.
"of course. it's unlocked for you."
"i'll see you soon." and with that, he hung up.
you smiled to yourself and put your phone back on the nightstand. just waiting on your lovely boyfriend to make his entrance.
it was just minutes later that you heard your door softly creak open, then shut with the click of the lock. you turn to see the dark silhouette of your boyfriend at the end of your bed. lifting your blankets back, you softly say come on. the bed dips with the weight of megumi climbing into it.
immediately your arms go for each other. needing skin to skin contact. your bodies entwine, with the type of physical touch only the other could provide.
one of megumi's hands was rubbing up and down your back while the other went for the back of your head. your arms were wrapped around his neck, playing with the wispy ends of his hair.
megumi lays feather-light kisses along the conjunction of your neck and shoulder. you let out a sigh, enjoying the feeling.
the more you become entranced by the rhythmic movement on your back, the more your mind wanders off. how long do we have? how much longer of this bliss until the cursed and the dead come knocking for us? you know deep in your soul that you would protect megumi no matter the cost. he had to be the one to make it. not you. the possibility of having to live this life without him...just that thought feels like a part of you died.
"losing you is not an option for me."
megumi pulls away from your neck, movements stilling completely. he is looking directly into your eyes, but with how dark the room is, you can't quite read the expression on his face.
"i can bear losing anyone else, but not you. it can, and will, never be you."
the hand that was on your back moves up to cup the side of your face, his thumb stroking over your cheekbone. megumi leans in and presses a small kiss to the tip of your nose.
"i'm not going anywhere. you are the reason i am still alive. every breath i take, i take for you. do you have any idea what i would do for you?'' megumi presses his forehead against yours. "for you, i'd steal the stars. you want the moon? i'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down for you. i never thought i'd fall so hard for you."
all you could see in this moment was megumi. the soft smile he wore and those gentle eyes that you could float around in. you could feel your eyes begin to sting with fresh tears. your chest felt tight, all the butterflies fluttering their way to the top. you snapped out of your haze and smiled at him. a big, beaming smile full of love.
such a foreign feeling, love. in a world where the odds were always stacked, something was looking out for the two teenagers hopelessly in love.

OUR WICKED LOVE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
your history with love was a little evil, causing you to aid to your own broken heart. when you finally stray away from the dating scenes, popular boy myung jaehyun asks you out. however, you don't know if he's being truly sincere.
PAIRING myung jaehyun x fem!reader WC 3.1k TAGS fluff. angst. popular boy jaehyun. he needs better friends. reader has fear of heights. misunderstandings. OMI NOTE inspired by queen yena but i might've put shame on her name cuz idk if i like this or not. too tired to proofread, and too tired to care.
Tumblr media
love had always been extremely evil. a forbidden force that always ended with you, a broken heart, and multiple wet tissues crumpled up in the trash. you weren’t perfect, but every boy you’ve ever loved taught you a valuable lesson. don’t let the next one fuck you over.
and while your list of lovers wasn’t long, you’d never let it define you; considering many in your grade were already stupid enough to waste their firsts. each boy that seemed to be the one that would sweep you off your feet, left you disappointed and still painfully single.
the never - ending yearning to feel something was simply ignored however, as you decided not to try as hard for your senior year. there wasn’t much of a point on wasting it away on someone you couldn’t guarantee the rest of your life with.
despite this, he made your heart skip a beat, maybe two. it was only last year that he had transferred, and many girls couldn’t keep their gazes off of him.
myung jaehyun, the captain of the sports team, was what could only be described as pretty boy eye candy. talented in multiple departments, and had crazy amounts of energy. most of it sounded too good to be true, but you still admired him a lot.
envisioning someone like him with somebody like you was a difficult task though. he wasn’t normally in the dating scene, so you gave up on the romantic idea.
school rolled around after a long summer. the trees bloomed fragrant flowers that sometimes fell onto the pavement, only to get ran over by passerbys. mornings like these you always got to school a little earlier than usual. first days always excited you.
when you finally arrived at the familiar building, there were big banners and booths for incoming freshman, making you smile. just a little years back you walked into the gates completely clueless. however now was not a time to reminisce, as you were too distracted to see where you were going.
you tripped over your feet, colliding with the person in front of you in the process. hands quickly flew to your side to stablize you so you wouldn’t fall. as you were back up, you quickly bowed and apologized, earning a chuckle from the victim you accidentally fell on.
“it’s okay, be more careful next time, alright?” he spoke in a voice that you remember distinctly, making you shoot your head up to be met with him.
“ah– myung jaehyun! i’m so sorry.” you felt embarrassed before he pat you on the back. “don’t worry about it. you’re y/n, right?” jaehyun questioned, squinting to analyze you a bit more. the sudden attention made you even more nervous than you already were.
“yes, i’m y/n. how did you– how did you know that exactly?” he read the confused expression on your face before cracking a smile.
“you dated that popular senior last year, didn’t you?”
“wow so everyone remembers me from that? he wasn’t my smartest decision.” you laughed, feeling anxiety bubble up in your stomach.
“maybe not, you dropped on the grade list after you guys went public. i only know that because my friend was dying to beat you all year.” he put his hands into his pocket, looking around to see if he could spot his friend.
“i’ll make my comeback this year, now that i’m in books and not his bedroom watching him play valorant.” you scoffed, feeling slightly more competitive.
“i’m sure my friend will be very happy to hear that then.” he joked a bit, “well um, i guess i’ll see you around, y/n.”
you nodded him off, waving a small goodbye before watching him go towards a sports booth. the interaction left you very confused and a little sheepish. your first interaction with the cute boy and you were falling into him.
the best thing to do was ignore it for now, and maybe avoid him for the rest of your life to prevent yourself from humiliation. putting your best foot forward (not the one you tripped over), you walked into the school to find your home room.
it wasn’t difficult, considering you knew the school like the back of your hand at that point. there were a few people that littered the desks, wearing identical uniforms as you did. you sat yourself down at an empty seat, fixing your skirt appropriately.
the atmosphere was quiet despite the loudness from outside, it was still quite early so the first bell wouldn’t ring for another hour. to busy yourself, you pulled a book from your backpack. the hardcover made a quiet noise as you placed it on the desk softly, flipping through the worn pages.
you were immersed in the story at hand, barely noticing how quickly time flew by and how crowded the classroom became. quiet laughter and desks moving around became background noise as your eyes scanned the pages. you wished you had taken note of where all this noise came from, before there was a tap on your shoulder.
“hey, y/n, can i ask you something?” it was jaehyun. he never spoke to you until this morning, and suddenly he was coming back for more? his friends laughed behind him in the background, trying to shut eachother up.
“of course.. what’s up?” you asked suspiciously.
“i was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out sometime? i know we met kind of rocky but you seem pretty cool.” he rolled back and forth on his heels, awaiting a response of some sort.
“oh– um, you want to go out? when were you thinking?” you asked shyly.
“next weekend? the fair is in town and i think it would be fun to take you and get to know you. if you’re down, you know. it’s sudden but a bunch of people from school are going so we could spend the day together.”
any form of words felt like they were suddenly stripped from your throat. you mind told you it was a bad idea, and that it was way too soon. but your heart was telling you yes.
“that sounds nice jaehyun. i’d love to go with you.” you smiled fondly in which he mirrored, handing out his phone for you to input your number. after punching it in, he walked back to the group of his friends to show them your name in his contact lists.
when the school day passed by, you got a moment to properly reflect on what had happened. the myung jaehyun thought your one minute interaction was interesting enough to willingly hang out with you. the same jaehyun that had girls dropping like flies and shoving miscellaneous gifts and letters in his face.
it felt like a prank, some twisted shit that only immature school boys would pull to mess with poor hearts. yet that wasn’t the reputation that jaehyun put out, so you didn’t give it another thought.
the two weeks came and went, but in between it felt like forever. counting down the days that you get to officially hang out with him. but in this time you got to know him more, so in the end, the wait didn’t even matter.
sometimes during class he’d pull his desk by yours and talk to you forever until the bell rang and he had to scurry back. he’d shoot you glances or funny faces everytime the teacher had their back turned, making you bite your lip to hold back a laugh.
jaehyun made sure to take care of you too, despite not knowing you for long. he had some sort of motherly instinct, asking if you had eaten or if you’ve been sleeping instead of studying all night. and afterwards, he’d use the excuse that he didn’t want you to die from starvation or lack of rest before he had the chance to hang out with you.
moments like those made you blush, swallowing back any doubt that he wasn’t sincere in wanting to be around you. his friends definitely made an impression that they thought you were lame, but he was different.
through all of this you started to like him, picking up on the small things that happened. how he would laugh too hard he had to grip onto your hand to keep himself from falling over; in which he’d forget to let go. or when he gave you big hugs whenever you helped him understand a stupid grammar question.
maybe you liked him a lot, just after you swore off relationships the school year. after all, your heart moved quicker than your brain.
these thoughts buried your head as you got ready to leave your house, using your phone camera to make any further adjustments to your appearance. you wore pretty jewelery that complimented the outfit you were wearing. overall, you felt confident that this night would go good. it was almost impossible for him to awkward.
it didn’t take long for a text notification to pop up on your screen, jaehyun telling you he was outside. after one final look you tied your shoes and left to his car parked in front of your house. your proximity grew closer and he waved at you from an open window.
“hey, y/n! you look good.” he unlocked the doors, allowing you in.
“thank you.. you look good too!” you complimented back trying to seem casual.
“i’m flattered, but that’s all you. i hope you’re excited.” he brushed it off, starting down the road.
“haha yeah um– i’ve never really been to a fair before so this is my first time.”
“oh shit really? we have to go on the ferris wheel the view is really nice from up there!” he suggests.
“ferris wheel? is now a good time to tell you that i’m deathly afraid of heights? last time i went on one i almost passed out!” the mere thought made you shiver.
“come on, what if i hold your hand or something? i won’t let you fall off i promise.” his offer made you blush.
“maybe i’ll think about it.” you mutter while sinking down into your seat.
the two of you maintained a steady conversation on the short car to the fair. fun lights crowded your vision the closer you got, blurring together to create one big mush of colors in the night. people walked around with popcorn, cotton candy, and numerous prizes.
the scents filled your nose as you got out of the car. jaeyhun walked alongside you, pointing out all of the best rides.
“only crazy people go on that ride, it’s totally insane! looks sketchy too.” he shook his head, “the more tame ones are the few roller coasters, gravity ride, and of course, the ferris wheel.”
“i still don’t know if i wanna go on that one! i promise i’ll try everything else.”
“once you get up there and see the skyline, it’ll be beautiful. trust me.”
“okay okay i’ll go, only if you’re right next to me.” you sigh.
“good! let’s go meet up with my friends first and see what their plan is, and we can go.” he leads you through the crowd, searching around for his group. it was difficult in such a busy environment, but he called out their names loudly once he spotted them.  they waved the two of you over as you followed behind.
“jaehyun! hey!” his friends called him over.
“whats up guys? me and y/n just got here, we weren’t around for long.” jaehyun grinned, fixing his hair from the slight wind.
“y/n?”
you poked out from behind jaehyun and waved. the relationship between you and his friends wasn’t great yet, they didn’t seem to like you at all.
“jaehyun can we talk to you in private for a second? just us dudes you know..” one of them spoke quieter into his ear. “yeah, uh.. y/n you wait here, we’ll be back.” jaehyun knew what they were going to ask him, and he dreaded it.
once the group was out of your vision, one of them spoke up sounding agitated.
“dude when are you break her heart? the dare wasn’t supposed to go this far.”
“i know i’m– i’m going to do it i promise.” jaehyun muttered.
“you better. just ditch her on the ferris wheel or something so we can go hang out without her dragging onto you.”
“i can’t leave her on the ferris wheel, that’s fucked. she’s afraid of heights.” jaehyun tried to argue.
“that’s not our problem. she’s lame and we didn’t even want her around in the first place. it was supposed to be a joke.”
“exactly, just leave her.”
not every popular student could be exactly whole - hearted, and because of this jaehyun wasn’t sure he was with the right crowd. their words stung his heart, knowing he’d have to get rid of you eventually. he was too deep into this stupid friend group that he didn’t want to risk leaving it all.
initially, it was an innocent conversation of who would do the worst dare. but then you became an unknowing victim of their game. get the girls number, make her like you, then shatter her idea of love. it sounded less dramatic at first, but he was too deep into it once he finished the first two steps.
jaehyun didn’t want to hurt anybody, at first he thought that since he barely knew you, it’d be okay right?
wrong.
the more time he spent with you, the more he started to genuinely like you. he suppressed the idea of hurting you until it was too late. now he was running back to you with a huge smile on his face. underlying something much more disappointed.
“hey, sorry about that! let’s go on the ferris wheel, yeah?” jaehyun turned your body around swiftly, and leaded you with his hands on your shoulders. the line wasn’t very long, so surely it wouldn’t be awhile until you got up.
“i can do this, i can do this.” you attempted to hype yourself up as you neared closer to the front.
“it will be fine trust me! i’m just gonna throw away my trash real quick and i’ll run back in line, okay?” he was lying.
“hurry please! theres only a few people left and they’re not letting anyone leave the line.”
“i will!” he crouched under the chain holding together the lines and ran to his group of friends, taking a look back to make sure you weren’t paying attention to him.
jaehyun’s stomach tightened as he watched you enter by yourself, calling out his name frantically. his friends pat his back, laughing at your reaction.
“jaehyun!” your breath quickens as the operator closes the middle bar. “please sir, let me off my friend was supposed to go on with me!”
“sorry kid, we have to keep everything running.”
the wheel started going and you panicked, anxiety beginning to run through your veins. you kept calling out for jaehyun, but there was no point. you scooted yourself as far into the back of the seat and blinked back the hot stream of tears running down your face.
through your hazy vision you barely saw him in the crowd before you got too far up. he was with all of his friends as they watched you freak out in mid air.
feeling betrayed was an understatement. but you couldn’t focus on your anger when you were going to have a panic attack. the higher you got, the heavier you breathed. your hands felt sweaty as you gripped onto the bar that held you in.
maybe the skyline was as beautiful as he said it was, your eyes were wired closed, unable to tell.
you drowned out any other noise, focusing on the creaking of the metal bars as you circled around. once voices became a little more clear, and your feet hit the ground, you opened your eyes and watched the operator lift up your bar and let you out.
your legs felt shaky as you stepped to the side, settling yourself on a bench. jaehyun came running towards you, seeing your tear stained face and balled fists.
“y/n! holy shit i– i’m so sorry i didn’t want to–”
“what the fuck is this, jaehyun? you force me to face my biggest fear just to ditch me for your friends?” you choked out, wiping your face with your sleeve.
“it was a dare, y/n.” “what?”
“i was dared to ask you out.” he admit, staring at the floor.
“so this was just one sick joke? you talked to me for two weeks straight then planned to blow me off the first time we hung out?” your face burned up.
“at first it was but–”
“i should’ve known better. i’m never falling in love ever again.” you cursed, getting up to leave him before he grabs your wrist and yanks you towards him.
“wait y/n!”
“what the hell?!” you yell trying to break away from him, “this isn’t funny jaehyun let me go–”
you couldn’t even process what was happening before his lips were on yours. the kiss enveloped you with a warmth much greater than the one burning in your heart. in that moment you felt your stomach dropping, yet feeling too guilty to indulge in it.
when he pulls away, you stare at him with shock and fresh tears welling in your eyes.
“why would you do that jaehyun.. you already hurt me.” you cry, attempting to get away from him while he held you still.
“because i don’t care about the stupid dare anymore. through all of that bullshit i started to like you a little more than i thought i would. so please, don’t run away.” he confessed, “you can hate me all you want, y/n. i deserve it. just know that there was a point where i stopped pretending.”
“what about your friends i thought–”
“i don’t care about my friends at this point, y/n. they weren’t good influences on me anyways. introduce me to your friends for all i care, i want something real. something like you.”
“you’re not just saying that, right?” you hesitated before he kissed you again, this time you kissed him back.
“do you believe me now?”
“maybe a little bit, but you still hurt my feelings jaehyun!” you pout, relaxing yourself in his grip.
“and i’ll work forever to forgive you. let me take you on an official date, yeah?” he let go of you, letting his hands trail to yours.
“you’re lucky you make my heart melt, myung jaehyun.”

Billy and Steve dating, keeping it casual and fun until Steve starts talking about wanting to make things more serious, and Billy panics. Can already feel himself falling hard and fast and he just…can’t make the commitment. It’s too scary. There’s no guarantee this thing with Steve will last, not when all the odds are stacked against them anyway. Billys the first boy Steve’s ever been with, this is just a phase for him. Besides, gay boys don’t last long in towns like Hawkins. What future are they supposed to have? There isn’t one. Steve’s just too idealistic to see it. So billy makes the decision for him. Leaves Steve alone in his bed after one last fuck. Billys got his Camaro packed. Heads out on the open road in the early hours of the morning. No clear direction in mind, just knows he’ll never be able to live in the same town as Steve again. It’s too risky. He’s too ashamed. It’s too much
Cut to 10 years later and max is getting married so naturally billy and Steve are going to end up under the same roof again. And it’s…awkward. A weekend of wedding festivities. Steve pretends like he’s past billy ghosting him a decade ago but he isn’t. Can only keep that in so long until it all comes to blows, Billy and Steve fighting outside of the reception, far away from guests so it won’t ruin Max’s big day
Steve demands answers, and billy gives them to him. Steve calls him an asshole (“I still like boys, dickbag! That’s the whole point of bisexuality!” “Well you weren’t sure of it back then! I wasn’t sure of it back then!” “You should’ve been sure of me.”)
Steve admitting he’s thought of billy every day for the past 10 years, Billy admitting the same. Steve asking why did he leave then? What was the point of all of it? Billy broke his heart.
Billy breaking down and admitting he was scared. Hell, he still is. He doesn’t know how to put himself out there, he doesn’t like feeling weak.
Steve telling him that’s what love is. Having to put yourself out there, taking that risk, hoping someone wants to take it with you. And Steve wants. He wants billy. He wants to try this for real. They’re not kids anymore. They’ve lived plenty of life between the two of them. Now he wants to try living it together
And billy…thinks he wants that too. Is tired of being alone, tired of feeling scared. And Steve scares him shitless but…maybe the risk is worth the reward

coach sidney as written by taylor swift songs
Tumblr media
to begin, she hoped sidney wouldn't think of her as some sort of slut for doing what she's doing. for hooking up to get her son on varsity, but in the midst of all that she starts to fall for him. she starts to imagine what it would be like if they were together. if other people started to talk, but she couldn't help it because it went straight to her head. she got lovesick, they were just in the wrong place at the right time she thinks. it might blow up in their faces, they might just fall in love, and if they do so what?
then it moves to a scene like i can see you. right after the infamous dinner at sidney's house where she laid it down real good so her son could get on varsity, the tension was thick between them. they had to be fast and keep quiet, both of them had imagined things to do with each other, and when sidney sent her a text in the middle of a school district fundraiser gala that said meet me tonight. he was tired of seeing other guys talk to her.
as she feels herself falling in love, he does too, it turns into both of them wanting to be end game. sidney wants to be her number one, he wants to be the first thing on her mind always. he knows they would be the cause of a lot of chatter amongst school staff, they would be a big deal and it might cause a rip in their reputation but he wouldn't care. and she doesn't want to be just another woman to sidney. they might try to just forget about the first hookup but they just couldn't. every night she thinks of his liquor colored eyes and she realizes she doesn't want to be just anything, she wants to be end game.
she realizes after a few dates and actually getting to know one another, that he is the absolute king of my heart, as she wrote in her journal one night. because she was perfectly fine living on her own, after her ex husband left her she decided it was just going to be her and carter and that it was better that way. but now, a month in, he calls her baby and he stays at her house some nights too when carter is at his friends for the night, of course. she enjoys spending nights outside under the stars, drinking beer and having innocent touches turn into lustful fistfuls of clothing and dark marks left in spaces where only he can see.
she knows people will just call it what they want after they have to tell the hr department at school they're together. she knows people will snicker, start rumors, paint scandalous pictures when they see them in the teachers lounge together. when they see him sitting next to her during warm ups before a game, or when they see the two love bird on a date out in town. but she smiles because she's the one he's walking toward, she's the one he's sitting next to. he caused flowers to grow back, she can laugh and smile more, she can have fun too. oh, and when she shows up to work one day with a 's' charm on her necklace next to the 'c' one she got for her son carter, you can guarantee that everyone is losing their minds.
she keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop, for something drastic to happen, for the end to come, but she keeps running home to his sweet nothings to remind her that everything will be just fine. after a year of being together, sidney makes sure to have lots of time with carter too. sure he's dating her, but he wants to make sure over and over that carter is okay with it. she gets so happy to sidney bond with carter like he does, to make sure that sidney includes carter in everything he does at home. to see him in the kitchen humming, teaching carter how to use the grill, it happens all the time.
sidney makes sure to ask carter before anyone else if it's okay if he marries his mom. he takes him out to lunch and he makes sure carter knows it's okay if he doesn't want it to happen and that sidney will respect his decision. he gets his blessing, and as if she was eavesdropping that night she said she'll marry him with paper rings if he ever asked, and that was all the confirmation he needed.

Hello hello! I saw you were looking for one piece head cannons, i was wondering if you can do a zoro x bounty hunter reader who was the one who sold him to the Marines, then the ended up meeting again and she ended.up.joining the crew? thanks!
Roronoa Zoro x Grudge. ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :
Tumblr media
I wanna start by thanking you for requesting this!! i loved the idea and I had so much fun writing it, i hope this matches your expectations. x
warnings: none. gender neutral!!
feel free to reblog, like, and leave a comment. i would very much appreciate it. if you enjoy my works, click here to read more or buy me a coffee.
Luffy asked you to join the crew after helping in one of the toughest battles of their journey. Your strength grew exponentially since the last time you saw Luffy and the crew, and so did you.
Your views and morals shifted completely. Life challenged you in ways that no one could ever imagine, and for a split second, Zoro couldn't even believe his eye. You were a seemed like a completely different person.
Swiftly fighting your opponents, Zoro observed the way you handled the battle ground. You made it look easy, and he hated it. He admired your power, the way every movement you made was entrenched with passion, fierce, decision. You didn't come to play - and he respected that. After all, you were risking your life to help him and his captain. Ironic, he thought.
Your ability on the battle field wasn't new to Zoro, he had to lost to you already. That was one of his most painful scars, one that was still open and that still hurt him. Despite his admiration, he really struggled to trust you. No one guaranteed that you wouldn't use this opportunity to sell the whole crew to the marines - their bounty was way higher now.
Zoro was so focussed on studying your movements and trying to decipher your intentions, that he, oddly enough, didn't notice the enemy behind him, ready to hit him.
The clash of your swords against the opponents brought Zoro back to reality. Turning around, he saw your body shielding his, your sword stopping the enemy's attack. Not only you most likely saved his life - but you spared him a potential scar on his back.
When the crew finally made their way to the ship, you were invited to join by a worried Chopper. "An infected injury could be fatal - let me take care of you!" he'd say, dragging you to his studio.
Zoro never thanked you for what you did; not verbally, at least. But when the crew asked him if he was okay with you joining the crew, he simply nodded. This didn't mean he trusted you now - he just thought it would be better to have you as an ally than an enemy. Also, it was a good opportunity to control your movements and understand your intentions.
When you first joined the crew, the two of you mostly avoided each other, apart from some silently agreed training sessions. You would both casually be at the gym at the same time, ready to train and pushing each other to your limits. This caused the two of you to spend most of the time together, turning these training your little training session into an intimate habit of yours. Despite the two of you openly admitting to not like each other.
Clashing your swords and battling violently was the best way to settle your unresolved argument. Painful provocations quickly became flirty remarks, hitting each other became the perfect excuse to touch each other's skin. He was the fuel to your fire.
During one of your train sessions, you made Zoro fall on the floor, his back violently slamming against it. He was quick to grab your leg, causing you to fall right on top of him. Resting your hands at the side of his head, the tips of your noses were now inches away.
"I won, Roronoa." you smirked. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth in response, rolling his eye in annoyance, trying to hide a smirk.
"Can you shut up?" he barked back. You only raised an eyebrow in response, your smirk slowly turning more into a playful grin.
"Make me."

hello again, question two incoming! i was thinking about my tav and astarion and boundaries each of them would set with each other—ness got dragged alone into the illithid oubliette, sent to chult, and then sucked into the djinni's lamp in lorroakan's tower and astarion is Very Done with his glass canon sorcerer gf being imperiled while he's helpless about it—and i remembered your fic "this lethal light falls softly", where astarion sets kind of a similar boundary when tavish comes back from being in avernus way longer than intended. my question is kind of twofold, firstly what is it with astarion and girlfriends who disappear on him, and then more seriously, what are some other boundaries tavish and astarion have to set with each other? is it easy for them to draw those lines, or is it always a kind of fraught conversation, like it was in the fic where astarion was threatening to leave tavish? do those boundary-drawing conversations change after the netherbrain is defeated and they're not constantly fighting for their lives? i imagine you can swallow some things easier when you're mostly just worried your partner could die at any minute, lol
LOVE THIS. Poor Ness. Poor Astarion! In a meta sense, I think it's just great to see someone who explicitly avoided caring about people for a couple of centuries be forced to confront that he actually cares about someone...a lot now, and all the wonder & horror that comes with that. There's a certain kind of impotence that comes with that level of waiting & being able to do exactly nothing to mitigate it, and I like seeing Astarion grapple with it & decide: yes, it's worth the pain to stick around anyway, that the love matters more. It sucks for him, for sure, but man is it a good time for me! :D
In terms of boundaries, I think both Astarion & Tavish are extremely terrible at both articulating, implementing, and occasionally respecting them. Tav had a healthy upbringing until she was about twelve, and then her entire teenage & young adult life was built around getting close enough to people to rob them, first under the direction of her horrible aunt, and then on her own after she killed her. Even the Thieves' Guild, where she wanted desperately to be, didn't find her appealing enough to accept, so she very quickly learned that absolutely no one cared if she lived or died, that family, friends, & lovers would take off the moment she couldn't give them what they wanted, and that the only way to guarantee someone would stick up for her would be if she brought some sort of unique utility to the table. I don't think she ever broke any major boundaries for anyone because she never got close enough for them to matter.
Likewise, Astarion's entire known history is messily tied to utility and what (who) he could provide for Cazador. However, his job, for lack of a better word, explicitly relied on him pushing boundaries at every opportunity. He must get the person who's hesitant to follow him into a dark alley to come with him anyway. He must get someone so drunk that they make incredibly stupid decisions & sleep with him despite their better judgement. He must find the person already having a terrible day and be that listening ear, manipulating them so much in the process that they lean on his opinion and recommendations over their own. The luxury of a healthy relationship is so far outside his realm of experience, I don't think he has the faintest idea what do with it when he finds himself in one, like a dog who's actually caught a car.
The turn for him, therefore, must be the realization that he cares for Tav's wellbeing above his own. He's at last found something to care about and protect besides himself, something he'd die to save, and that means that after two hundred years, his own needs and wants must come secondary to his desire to make Tav happy.
For Tav, it's the opposite. She's spent so long believing herself unlovable that I don't think she really understands how much Astarion cares until very late in the endgame. She isn't trying to make things hard for him; she just genuinely doesn't realize she's hurting him. That would require her to understand that she has intrinsic value as a person to him, even outside of what utility she can provide, & she's bad at understanding that.
In that vein, I don't think Tav is capable of articulating hard boundaries for herself for a long time. She has things she likes & dislikes, of course, but for someone so used to desperately reshaping herself to be small, to be easy, to be lovable in the hopes that someone would want to stick around eventually, her go-to response is not to ask someone to stop doing something, it's to literally retrain herself to find that thing not that bad in the first place. It's only because Astarion is extremely good at quick-reading people that he picks up on it after a while & realizes this is what she's doing.
I do think at some point post-game he has a very clear sit-down with her where he makes her clearly state some things he's doing that seriously bother her, not just so he can stop doing them but so she can get used to putting voice to her wants in the first place. However, because he's him, I do think he's snippy and catty about it the whole time. They aren't serious complaints; he just knows his cattiness makes Tav laugh & he wants her to trust him--to trust that he loves her, sure, but also to trust him to stay even when she's irritated at him. He needs her to understand she's not going to chase him off by asking him to change his behavior. (Also a novel thing for him: that he is willing to change his own behavior for someone else, just because they ask. Because her happiness matters more to him than him "winning" an argument by being sarcastic & cutting, and it turns out that hurting her to win makes the win sour and bitter anyway & he doesn't enjoy it.)
Astarion is just the opposite. I think for a while he can't help but react every time he butts up against something he doesn't like, both from the novelty of being able to say no & as part of his attempts to figure out exactly what denials are worth the effort. In this way I think Tav is very well-suited to him; she's very patient regarding this kind of thing thanks to her own flaws (especially since she understands what he's doing, even if he doesn't). She doesn't mind at all kind of contorting herself around his changeable boundaries while he figures out what he actually does & doesn't want, and since they don't have the end of the world hanging over their heads anymore, there's no time pressure aside from her own mortality. Besides, she can tell which ones he really cares a lot about (her leaving without warning, her endangering herself on his behalf without his knowing, the period where they're not sleeping together in Act 2/3) vs. the ones he doesn't really care about & are really just unconscious tests (her leaving her shoes all over the floor, the way she fiddles with things all the time when she's bored, the way too many sweets makes her blood less tasty, etc.). It's not a way I think she could live forever, but because he does change over time and he does get better and he does clearly learn from his mistakes, she's willing to be patient on her part while he figures things out.
Eventually, as they settle into a routine and become more comfortable navigating each other's needs as well as their own, he learns he doesn't have to say no to everything and she learns she can say no at all. It's a lot of work for both of them, but they both care deeply about the other's success and happiness, and they're both willing to put in the effort to make something that'll last.
Ahh, this was wonderful to get to ramble on about. Thank you so much for asking! <3<3<3

Jaune's just trying to help
the scene opens on an interschool exhibition match between jaune and a random student from vaccuo.
Weiss: "there's no way jaune can win this"
ruby: "that's kinda mean weiss"
weiss: "but not untrue"
ruby: "look jaune might not fight on the same level as everyone else but there are other ways to win the fight."
weiss: "and how will that dolt win the fight without fighting"
jaune: walks in calm as you like and starts checking his armor "the next two minutes are gonna be really important for you"
jaune: draws his sword before looking at the guy "you have some critical decisions to make and the first decision that you should consider is conceding prior to the match"
jaune: points to his team "you see those lunatics over there?"
Nora waves
jaune: "the girl with the red hair and the hammer that broke that kids knees just this morning and her friends? yeah they love my ass they fucking loooove me"
student: "uh... wait you're their leader??"
jaune: "yeah you should be concerned. look here's the deal, you have probably ninety seconds to concede and you really gotta think it through. cause what's gonna happen is this:"
jaune sucks a deep breath through his teeth
jaune: "I can't guarantee what's going to happen to you, there's no promise for your safety, there's no promise for anything like that"
student: "i feel like you're psyching me out right now"
jaune takes another deep breath, his tone is earnest as if he's genuinely concerned with what is about to happen
jaune: "it's not psyching out. I'm doing the kindest thing I've ever done right now." looks at the clock "about sixty seconds left, you really should concede. if you're not gonna concede,"
jaune looks the kid dead in the eye
jaune: "what do you want me to tell your family?"
student: "....."
the entire student body of every school falls silent as they realize what they just heard. no one dare move except for nora who's still waving from when jaune looked at her earlier.
student: "i'd like to leave this ring now"

Best Gift and Waffles
Type- One Shot
Verse- @sunandherflores 's Harry and Y/n with their cutie of a baby, Arjun.
Warnings- None! Just fluff.
Word Count- 2.8k
A/N- Here's your birthday gift, Pyari. I love you so much <33 (I hope I did your verse justice)
Description- It's y/n's birthday, Harry ends up being assigned the duty of making waffles every time they'll be planned to be made, and Juno's gift is termed as the best she's ever received.
Arjun was the one most excited for this day and there’s no bluff in that.
As soon Harry’s eyes open and he relives a few moments of his life, he comes to the conclusion that it’s his wife’s birthday today and that he’s going to do his best to make it happier than the last one. He’s sure that his son will help him make that decision become obliviously possible.
As he turns on his side to take a look at y/n, he immediately huffs when he sees Arjun clinging onto her abdomen like a koala bear. Did he even sleep last night or stayed awake in the worry that Harry will surely forget to wake him up so that he’d be the first one to wish her? Well… he did almost forget that but still. Going back onto his back, he starts wondering what should he make for breakfast.
Not sure if he should wake Arjun up, he gets up making little to no movements and curses in surprise when his feet meet the cold floor, wondering if should take out those fuzzy socks for his son already.
With slight moisty-padding sounds of his feet, he exits the room while making sure he doesn’t shut the door- just in case that little munchkin decides to join him. That’d be very pleasant actually, but he can only hope that both of his loves get their full sleep. Did y/n think what the day ahead of her would look like while she was awake? He’ll make sure to ask what she guessed if she did.
It’s raining outside, or maybe it rained not so long ago as the raindrops on the window race with each other to reach the bottom. Opening them, he sees that it’s indeed raining and although Y/n does like a cool dark day, she loves a sunny day. He can only hope that the clouds would tear apart from each other and let at least a tad bit of sun shine fall onto the land which surely has water puddles on it here and there.
He pours a glass of fresh water into the water boiling machine placed at the corner of the slab, and shuts its lid, switching it on. Proceeding his walk towards the fridge, he looks into it to see if he can find anything that could make a good breakfast along with the cut up slice of lemon he had put in yesterday.
Before his eyes can search any further for lemons in lost hopes for any breakfast inspiration, his eyes land on the box in which Y/n had stored the waffle batter. Though he feels a little guilty for not putting in efforts which all belong to him, he cuts himself some slack and moves onto taking out the waffle maker from the lower cupboards and cooking spray from the cupboards above. He’s supposed to leave the batter to come to a normal temperature, so he pours in the hot water in his mug and drops that slice of lemon he found in the door of the fridge.
He isn’t much of a person to drink these kind of things but due to humidity and sweat from his practice sessions, pimples have been popping up on his skin and he hadn’t been hydrating very well as of lately either, resulting in chapped lips. It was y/n who had lectured him into starting to drink a cup of lemon water, guaranteeing that his skin would go back to being clear and to put two drops of mustard oil in his belly button to get rid of those cracked lips.
Jumping down from the kitchen counter, he puts the mug beside the sink and starts to spray the cooking oil onto the waffle maker. Making sure to preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
As the waffle bakes until it turns golden brown, he prepares the frosting, but not before struggling to find that tiny bottle of vanilla essence. Adding some milk for the consistency he had desired, he finally stepped back at the sound of oven’s ‘ding’ and smiles when he sees the waffle through the blurry glass.
He takes it out with a gloved hand and then takes out a spoon to spread the frosting over it. And, he’s doing just that when turns on his heels, grabbing onto the slab with all his might upon hearing a light weird sound. But just as immediately, he realizes that it was his son yawning soundly and lets out a deep sigh of relief, shaking his head while Arjun tries his very best to lower the sound of his hearty laughter.
“Shh,” Harry cautions, while his sheepish smile gives away that he’s embarrassed.
“Good morning, daddy,” Arjun laughs out, climbing up onto the counter to press a kiss on both of his cheeks. Harry greets back and repeats his actions, hugging his frame.
Helping the boy down as per his request, he continues to spread the frosting before asking him to help him with clearing the things out. The boy does oblige, but not before yawning again.
Arjun puts all the containers Harry hands him one by one quietly- not being much of a speaker in the mornings and especially not today, when he’s trying to not wake his mum up.
“That should be it for you, love. And hey, did you finish making your gift?” Harry asks with giddiness, crouching down a little so that he could hear whatever the answer is in a secretive way.
“Yeah I did!”
The enthusiasm definitely caused Harry to back off a little. “You told me you’d tell me once it’s prepared, so… ?”
“Well, it’s made by me and I made it… You can know the rest once mumma sees it!”
“You little-“ and he’s cut off before he can finish his complain by Arjun giggling and running away upstairs, most likely to brush his teeth and shower.
Huffing once again, he decides on putting some sprinkles on the frosting and soon enough he’s stacking up a piece of waffle above the other to give it an appearance of a cake. The problem is, it isn’t giving celebratory yet, leaving him thinking very hard onto what else could be added. It does take time, but he steadies a candle atop the stack and finally feels satisfied.
Time to get ready for the day now.
Though he doesn’t proceed to do that until he’s covered the treat with a glass lid.
Still steadying himself from climbing up the chairs in too much speed, he pushes open the door to Arjun’s room. Though when he’s met with a shut bathroom door and sound of water running inside, he walks right out. He’s sure he isn’t very pleasant to look at right now.
When he enters his and his lovely wife’s room, he’s surprised to see that she’s still asleep. Is she pretending to be asleep? He hopes that’s not the case as he takes out a pair of beige pants and a brown striped tee to wear over it. Maybe he’ll wear some sort of jacket immediately after getting a taste pf cool air, but he couldn’t care less right now- feeling too proud of himself for setting up his outfit beforehand.
Once he hears Arjun’s room door being closed, he’s grabbing for his towel and jumping inside the shower. Perhaps, Arjun could wake up Y/n while his father showers and gets ready inside the bathroom itself.
Y/n on the other hand, stirs in her sleep before cracking open her eyes. Smell of vanilla remains heavy in air as she realizes that the breakfast is ready and it’s something tasty, making her smile with excitement. Though it falters when she finds no one beside her- neither Harry nor Arjun. What is she supposed to do? Go back to sleep? She sure as hell doesn’t wanna do that, so instead she rises up and switches on her phone to maybe reply to some texts, if she’s even gotten any this early.
It’s when her phone’s screen light up does she realize that it’s not so early anymore. It’s literally nine in the morning, the weather had her fooled. As soon as her phone connects with the wi-fi, messages start bombarding her notification bar. Most of the people she knows are morning birds, so she isn’t surprised to see a badge in red marked over the Whatsapp icon telling her there are 20 messages.
Slowly but surely, she opens and replies to all of them. Smiling over the status people put her photo in, especially the one her dad put- a photo of her as a child, looking at the cake on the table with the greediest eyes ever. Last but not the least, she opens the text message she’s received form Harry, opening it to find a video of them celebrating her birthday during the early months of their relationship, under it written a sappy poem he probably copied from google.
It feels like her heart’s smiling as she shuts off her phone and stretches. Just in the meantime, her bedroom is opening and peeks in the head of freshly showered Arjun, grinning from ear to ear as he walks with fast paced steps towards the bed once he sees that she’s awake.
“Happy birthday once again, mumma!” Geedily, he wishes her before leaning in to press a kiss onto her perked up lips, happily wrapped in her arms.
“Thank you, once again my lovely Juno,” She smiles, brushing her nose against his. “See, you wished me twice and your daddy hasn’t even come in front of me yet!” She complains to him, laughing when he shrieks, “boycott daddy!”
As she’s roughly combing out his hair with her fingers, the bathroom door opens and a rush of steam rushes out with a smell of strong men’s soap.
“There she is! There’s my darling wife!” Harry exclaims loudly, grinning with an open mouth before walking towards her with open arms. Leaning down, he hugs her tightly before pecking her lips twice. “Happy birthday,” he says rather peacefully, pecking her nose.
Smiling gently, she also pecks his nose and mumbles back, “thank you.”
“Me too, me too!” Voice of an excited Juno interrupts them.
It’s only a matter of seconds before they both share a look and tackle the little boy with kisses on either of his cheeks with obnoxious kissing sounds, making him laugh out loud. Just a hiccup and they leave his cheeks alone but not before kissing them one more time while making a loud ‘mwah!’ noise.
Getting up on his knees, he also presses a kiss on both their cheeks before Harry is grabbing him from Y/n’s arms, and pushing her to go shower already so that they can proceed to further plans.
Moving to Arjun’s room, Harry places him onto the bed and crouches down to his level.
“Are you ready to give your gift to mumma?”
“Yes daddy, I’ve got the best gift ever!”
“Well well well, that’s awesome! Come downstairs with it and we’ll see where to place it, yeah?”
Arjun just nods vigorously and climbs down the bed, moving toward his clothing drawer as Harry exits the room and flees down the stairs, into the kitchen.
Removing the lid, he also removes the candle and put the meal inside the oven to heat it a little. He should’ve left it in the oven itself, but oh well. He anyways moves onto taking the flower bouquet of yellow and red roses out of the lower basket in the fridge and places it atop the dining table, in the vey middle. Then, places all the plates and glasses on their places, before shutting off the oven.
This time, he leaves the waffles in the oven, planning on taking it out once she reaches downstairs- considering the weather is still cold.
Jumping down the stairs comes Arjun, with something like a notebook covered in black sheet with a red ribbon tied messily, but it still looks so pretty that Harry is almost embarrassed of the fact that he learned how to tie his shoe laces when in 5th grade.
“Here!” Arjun hands the notebook-ish thingy to Harry, who replaces y/n’s plate with the gift. Arjun appreciates Harry’s decoration and then they hear a ‘ta-da!’ from the stairs, and everything goes still for both of them when they turn around.
It felt like everything went in slo-mo as she laughed, probably upon seeing their surprised facial expression before making her way to them.
“Do I not look good?” Y/n teases them, grinning widely.
She’s dressed in a brown saree, which somewhat matches Harry’s outfit. The clothing wrapped around her body as if it were made to be fitted on her body with perfect creases at just the right spots. She has pulled her hair in a low-sleek bun, a pair of complicatedly designed gold earrings hanging down from her ear lobule and a few bangles in her hands. A brown bindi sits in the midst of her brows and if you scan just a little bit down, you see black eyeliner on her eye lids, and black eye pencil used on her lower waterline.
If this isn’t what a goddess looks like, then Harry isn’t sure he can believe that.
“You look truly like a goddess,” he babbles out without filter, causing her to look down blushing and laugh at the same time.
“Why thank you,” she replies bashfully.
“You really are looking very pretty mumma!” Arjun chimes in, stretching out his arms while saying ‘very’.
“Not better than you, though.” She pouts, again laughing when his cheeks go red.
Gasping when her eyes land on the dining table, she lightly pushes harry to the side and moves towards it, lips apart in delight. “All of this looks so beautiful!” She unknowingly affirms Harry, moving to pick up the bouquet to smell it once and put it back down.
“This is so nice, thank you!”
“Mum, look! There’s my gift for you!” Arjun chimes in before Harry can affirm her.
With utter delight, y/n moves forward to pick up the gift. From behind her, Harry pulls out her chair for her to sit down as he watches over her shoulder with just as much curousity.
When she unties the ribbon, the folder of black paper pops open, and a scrapbook is revealed. While she’s adoring the cover and the tracing her fingers over the birthday wish written in Juno’s handwriting, Harry is thinking back to day before yesterday when Arjun had gone over to Gemma’s for a day but had took his scrapbook and sketch pens with him. So this is why.
Turning over the hardcover of the notebook, y/n realized there was no stopping now. Each page had a picture of every one of the family members Arjun is aware of, all of them holding a piece of paper or cardboard on which they had wished her a happy birthday with multiple blessings and all of the love they could give.
“Holy- oh my god, Juno,” she turns to look at him, seeming as if left breathless. “Did you do all of this bubba?” She asks him, placing him on her lap.
“Yeah I did, but Aunt Gemma also helped me,” he admits shyly, his nose a shade of blush pink.
“This is so very lovely, thank you very much Juno. Might be the best gift I’ve ever received!” She cried out in joy, kissing him all over his face.
From behind her a loud gasp. “What do you mean by ‘the best’!?” Harry asks her, coming in front of her with an offended expression and hands resting on his hips, seeming like asking for an explanation which can’t be made out of the rubbish statement she made. He steals a peek at Juno and sees him show him his tongue, causing him dramatically gasp again.
Pretending to wipe away faux tears, he stands up and starts to leave. “I’m heartbroken. No one even asked for breakfast. My heart’s aching so much,” he confesses in a gloomy voice, hanging his head low while he continues to walk like a skeleton in those spooky movies.
“I am starving though. Aren’t you too, Juno?”
“Mhm, I am. Elephants are jumping around in my stomach.”
“Oh shut it, I’m not going anywhere.” Harry turns around, instantly going over to the oven and taking out the waffles, which are still warm.
To say that y/n liked it would be an understatement. But to truly describe how much she freaking loved it, the words ‘These are the best waffles I’ve ever had, H. It’s always gonna be you who’ll make waffles from now on. I mean that, literally,’ should do the work

Kai Impregnating You As a Punishment
Summary- When Kai finds out you’re planning to avoid pregnancy behind his back, he acts immediately to make sure his plan for a new and better future isn’t ruined.
Warnings- Dub-con (I think), breeding/impregnating, car sex, unprotected sex, sexual punishment, daddy kink, arousal from crying, Kai Anderson. Words- 1.6k
This was a left over idea from Kai Week that I had planned based on a request, and I wanted to do it! Returning to car sex, fun! :D
Enjoy<3
--
“What is it Y/N?”, Kai forcefully asks.
“No honestly nothing”. You try your best to lie, but Kai always knew when you were nervous or worried. He also knew when you were keeping secrets from him, which is why right now you were completely screwed. Kai often looks through your belongings and does regular pinky power meetings to ensure that he knows absolutely everything about you. You know how some people say a little mystery is good in a relationship? He was certainly not one of those people.
With you now moved into Kai’s parent’s house with him and Winter, there is no place for you to hide your belongings. Not that you need to, usually. But sometimes when you get him a gift or have something to hide temporarily, you put it in your car, knowing he wont think to search it. But what you were hiding was no gift, but a stab in the chest.
He started being suspicious right away, when he walked past your car to get to his and your heart started pounding. He must’ve heard your heart almost escaping your chest and he instantly knew there was a reason you’d prefer to drive in his car instead of yours.
Kai sits in the passenger seat of your car, letting you drive for once, and stares at you as you start up the car, pretending nothing’s happening.
“Are you gonna tell me what’s going on or am I going to have to force it out of you?”
You look at Kai and shake your head timidly, but try to look and sound confident.
“No honestly I’m not hiding anything”
You mentally slap yourself the second those words come out of your mouth, revealing drips of information to Kai, knowing he’ll keep going after the truth no matter the cost. You look in front of you and put your foot on the acceleration for just a second, before Kai snaps at you to stop.
“Stop. Get in the back”. He unbuckles his seatbelt and puts his foot to the side, ready to climb in the back, but stops when he looks at you frozen.
“Kai’s there’s nothin-”
“Now Y/N”, he yells, making you flinch, and hops into the back middle seat. You quickly unbuckle your own seatbelt and follow him, wanting to sit by his side but instead being immediately bend in half over his lap. Kai grabs your face forcefully.
“Since you’re having so much trouble being honest with me”. Kai pulls your jaw down.
“I’ll help you spit it out”. With that warning said, Kai shoves two fingers deep in your mouth, making your lips wrap around the cold metal ring on his middle finger. After one quick thrust to the back of your throat, he takes his fingers out when you gag and keeps them on your chin.
“Are we gonna speak yet?”. You take a few deep breaths, taken back by his sudden, and new, actions.
“Kai everything’s fi-”
Not even letting you finish your words, he plunges his fingers back in your mouth, or throat, rather, and keeps them there for a few seconds. Your eyes begin to water as you accept your fate, knowing that Kai has a thousand different ways to get things out of you, and you must accept whatever punishment you get for making decisions behind his back.
“When I take my fingers out, you’re gonna tell me”. You cry out in response and he pulls his fingers out, holding your face and twisting it to look at him. He raises his eyebrow at you, making you speak.
“Glove compartment”, you manage to choke out, still slightly shaken from the brutal throat invasion. Kai pushes you off his lap, making you squish on the floor of the car, not daring to get up on the seat if Kai doesn’t want it. He stands up and leans towards the front of the car, opening the glove compartment and shoving out all documents in there onto the floor and seat, without a single care in the world. He rummages through your things, noticing your driving license and car documents, nothing too suspicious, before looking at a small green pharmacy prescription. He takes it and plops back down in the middle seat, reading it closely. Your stomach churns and your previous tears return as you’re torn between looking away from Kai, scared to make eye contact, and not wanting to peel your eyes off him to know his reaction. After a few seconds of angry reading, he rips the paper up and throws it around like confetti. Without even an angry word, he grabs a fistful of your hair and pulls you up on the back seats, laying you down. He climbs over you, and watches your tears fall closely, completely captivated and aroused at the sight of you in distress.
“Oh, so you don’t want to get pregnant?”, he barks in your face, enjoying the way you flinch every time. “You don’t want to make a Messiah? And contribute to the fucking cause? You want to be useless?!”, he yells. You’re left under him, whimpering at his harsh words and shaking your head manically, hoping to make your situation better in any way you can. Even if it meant you had to agree with him.
Kai clenches his jaw and takes a deep breath before speaking again, calmer this time.
“Have you taken any contraceptives yet?”. You immediately shake your head no, and try to blink all of your tears away. Kai whips his belt open and unzips his pants.
“I just got a prescription to buy them… I hadn’t even got them yet”, you whimper out quietly, not sure whether more details will make him calmer or even angrier. He lowers his pants before grabbing your legs and pulling you closer to him, and undoing yours silently and ripping them off. Crying always awoke something inside of Kai, but this was different, like a mixture of a punishment for you and a treat for him.
He leaned down and moved your head to the side, attaching himself to your neck and sucking on it harshly. Although the rough side of Kai scared you beyond words, his tough love still made you feel special, and him sucking hickeys on your neck, no matter how unaffectionately, made you feel like he was marking you as his. Therefore, he must’ve cared about you, even if he chose to show it in an unusual way.
He puts his arms on either side of your head, towering over you, making you feel both intimidated and protected by him, before sliding your underwear to the side. He pushes himself against your crotch and groans in your neck.
“This… this is really special”. He groans, as he lines up with you, putting his tip inside of you without warning.
“Daddy’s never done this with anybody”. A rush of arousal runs through your body as a strong reaction to the new nickname. Kai wasn’t new to nicknames, Sir, Divine Ruler, even Master. But he never called himself daddy, and he could feel the affect it had on you immediately, as he slid in you with ease. Although he pushes in slowly, the charade of softness and love quickly fades away as he slithers his cold hand under your shirt and grabs your boob, kneading it and squeezing it in his hand.
You gasp at the action, making Kai smile and kiss you, just once. He continues to talk to you with his lewd words as he begins to thrust. You submit yourself completely to him, wrapping your legs around his waist, and your arms around his chest, bringing him as close as possible to you so you can feel his warmth. He gracefully accepts your invite and puts his chest to yours, still with a tight grasp on your boob, rubbing your nipple with his thumb.
“Daddy’s gonna massage them so much when they’re all full of milk”, he whispers in your ear. You open your eyes and look at Kai with a blank expression, expecting an explanation to the weird statement, but he doesn’t provide one. Instead, he looks at you with a smirk and speeds up, keeping up the pace of the thrust and the roughness of his touch on you equal. Involuntarily you gulp, accepting the very appropriate punishment.
“God, I haven’t masturbated in- oh fuck… - in days… this is perfect”, he speeds up his thrusts, and closes his eyes, no longer caring about watching you tear up or orgasm. His sole focus shifts to fucking you as deep as possible, and ensuring he can empty as much of his balls as possible, filling you up to the brim. To guarantee your Messiah.
The new pace makes you clench, and panting and gasping as he fucks you restlessly, going deeper than ever before. He pulls your legs up higher and folds you in half, so he can fit his whole cock in, hitting your cervix with every single thrust. Just as the grip on your legs gets tighter and his moans get louder, you’re overcome with pleasure, your first orgasm coming over you and completely distracting you from how uncomfortable of a position you are in. The feeling of you clenching and cumming around him brings Kai over the edge, settling in the first load of the night deep inside of you.
Kai groans as he cums and rests with his cock deep in you, and you wrap your arms back around him and try to pull him closer for a quick kiss before he pulls out. But instead, after a few stationary seconds, he puts his leg on the ground and thrusts again, at a different angle. You whimper at the sensitivity and as does Kai, but he doesn’t hault and instead looks down at you cockily.
“I hope you’re not tired yet, there’s many more where that came from”

A body that beautiful must have been meant for me.
Ice X reader.
So I watched both Top Gun movies, and I loved them, I'm ashamed I hadn't watched Top Gun sooner. Lurv Woaa.
Summary - A rare night out, a low tolerance for alcohol and one inconvenience, the perfect equation.
Warnings- Alcohol.
A/n- I do not own any of the characters, images, gifs.
Tumblr media
Not quite satisfied with yet another quiet night at home, your feet propped up, a good book in your hands, you make the decision to head down to 'the bar' the one bar around that was guaranteed to have attractive men in uniform in every direction you looked.
The music playing, the smiling and laughter filling the room all combined into the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing night, alone, at a bar. Drink in hand you allow yourself to enjoy the music, the alcohol leaving a warmth spreading through your chest. Overall better than being at home.
Once in a while you could swear you were being watched, the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end, anytime you looked around for that pair of eyes, you found none. Turning your head back towards the bar and towards your drink, you come face to face with a uniformed chest.
A curious gaze is cast across the broad uniformed expanse before you, up to wide strong shoulders, a sculpted neck and finally, the most amazing blue eyes you'd ever seen. It took a moment to realize that you may have been staring too long, luckily for you, the Adonis before you, seemed to get it.
"I'll give you a moment to compose yourself... Take your time though, I think you'll like the view." He chuckled, popping his pectoral muscles and making you giggle slightly, your hand coming to cover your mouth.
Tumblr media
(Let's go ahead and pretend that isn't the back of Mavericks head.)
"Do you always invade a bodies personal space, when you first meet them?" You inquire, sipping your drink and indulging in the color of his eyes, which never left you as you spoke together.
"Only when my first thought when they walk through the door is, a body that beautiful must be meant for me." He grins, a saucy, heart throbbing grin as he runs his fingers through his beautiful blonde hair.
"Whoa. Okay, let me just recover a little bit here. That, was devastating!" You have to rest your hand over your heart for a second to calm the rapid thundering within, your cheeks are likely the color of the cover to the bar stool, red as cherries.
His delighted chuckle led to couple more drinks and the bartender yanking your keys from your fingers, a pout adorning your lips as the man tells you that you can pick the keys and your car up in the morning.
With more than a little grumbling about having to walk to pick up your car you allow your new friend to lead you to his truck.
Tumblr media
"I don't think we ever got around to names, Tom Kazanski." He couldn't help the smile that tugged at the corners of his lips as you wrinkled your nose at him.
"Toooom Kazanshi... Ski. Can I just call you Ice?" You slur slightly, slouched in the seat of the truck, hair falling out of place.
"Talked to some other Top Gun pilots huh?" He asked, taking the moment to glance over at you, looking adorably disheveled.
"Who? Ew. No. It's your eyes, they look like melted ice." You nod as if what you had said made the most sense in the world.
"You mean water?" He asked, trying not to laugh, while keeping the truck on the road.
"No, melted ice. It's totally different." You insisted quite heavily on the fact, and he didn't have it in him to try and explain. However he would always consider his eyes the color of melted ice.
Pulling up to your house, Ice turned off the truck, walked around to your side and, carefully extracted you from the seat. He laughed a little when you mentioned you hadn't actually had that much to drink considering you'd asked for the weakest drinks possible. He'd have to remember your lack of tolerance for next time.
Tumblr media
"Where are your keys, sweetheart?" He asked as the two of you finally made it to the front door.
The look of horror on your face had him sighing. They were on the same ring as your car keys... You were locked out of your house until tomorrow. He made a couple of calls, and turned the truck back in the direction of the home of his friend Mother Goose. He'd called him that for so long it seemed weird calling him anything else.
"Ice, it's good to see you." Carol smiled as she pulled him into a huge hug. "I hear you got locked out?" She asks a little confused.
"Oh, no, not me, Carol. The bartender took their keys, and their house keys were on them." He laughed, pointing to his truck, you'd fallen asleep on the drive back and were currently curled up in his front seat snuggling his jacket.
"Awww, fast asleep, poor thing. I'll make up the couch, you bring them in." Carol smiled warmly as she disappeared back into the house, Ice turned to his truck and made his way to the door, careful not to dump you out onto the sidewalk.
Once inside Ice sets you down on the couch, covered now in a soft blanket, a fluffy looking pillow placed over the arm. You refused to let go of his jacket while you slept so he simply pulled the blanket over your shoulders.
"Goodnight Beautiful. I'll see you soon." He promised as he leaned down and kissed your forehead with a featherlight touch of his lips.
"Pandas don't use silverware." You whisper as you clutch his jacket tighter.
"They sure don't." He snickered before making his way out the door.

[CN] Winning the Championship Date
🍒 Warning: This post contains detailed spoilers for a date, 夺冠之约, which has not been released in EN! 🍒
Tumblr media
[ Released on 28 September 2021 ]
The vibrations of my phone rouse me from the tediously long document. After looking at the caller, I answer it hurriedly.
MC: Gavin? Has your mission ended?
Gavin (on the phone): Soon. I’ll be back before the weekend. I should be able to make it in time for that café event you mentioned.
I suddenly recall how I had mentioned this event to Gavin before he left for the mission last month, but...
MC: Sob sob. I can’t go this weekend. I’m producing a new show, so I’ve been busier lately.
Gavin (on the phone): Is it a difficult show?
MC: A little bit... Come to think of it, Gavin, what type of sports shows appeal to you?
Gavin (on the phone): ...appeal to me? Competitive sports with commentators.
Just as I’m hesitating on whether to tell him about the problems I’m facing, someone on the other end of the line seems to be calling for him.
MC: Go and do your thing. I’m not facing any issues.
Gavin (on the phone): Okay. Contact me anytime if needed.
Right after hanging up, Minor knocks on the door and comes in.
Tumblr media
Minor: Boss, I’ve made the arrangements for the collaborative filming of “Life’s Limits” with the City Sports and Culture Bureau. As per your request, I’ve selected a group of amateur racing hobbyists. The name list and materials have been sent to your e-mail.
MC: You’ve worked hard.
Minor: Boss, why don’t you take a break? Your dark circles have appeared.
MC: The company competing with us for this project is Light Media, and it’s much more experienced in producing sports shows as compared to us. We can’t let our guard down.
After more than half a month of research, I locked in my decision regarding the filming site - Hurricane Club.
This club is very well-known amongst motorcycle enthusiasts, and often organises competitions for amateurs.
This weekend, the club will be conducting a three-day training, and participants will be guided by professional coaches. There will even be a friendly race at the end.
The competition has a very novel format - it’s a three-person relay.
I intend to search for three photogenic motorists to form a small team. By following their daily experiences throughout the entire process, including their training sessions and the race, I’d produce a story about the team.
Minor: Boss, according to your request, isn’t the best choice Bro Gavin?
MC: That’s true...
During the initial planning stage, the first person I thought of was actually Gavin.
However, he doesn’t like appearing on shows, and was only willing to appear in previous shows because of me.
Moreover, he’s been away for a mission which lasted close to a month, and should get a proper rest over the weekend.
MC: In short, he... doesn’t quite fit the standard. You can leave work for now.
After sending Minor away, I re-focus on the thick stack of materials in front of me.
-
Before the peak hour on Friday, I head towards Hurricane Club in a rental car. While doing pre-filming checks, I answer the phone.
Minor: Boss, the three people we agreed on have set out. I’ve also found a suitable substitute. After careful selection, he’s definitely a top quality choice. I can guarantee that nothing will go wrong! You’ll get to see him once you reach the club! Boss, thanks for your hard work!
Before I have a chance to probe further, the dial tone sounds in the next second.
MC: This fellow is once again acting first before reporting afterwards... there shouldn’t be a problem, right?
Tumblr media
Upon reaching the club, I meet up with the three team members we had contacted earlier.
Based on background research conducted by the company, they are generally outstanding, and are very enthusiastic when it comes to racing.
One of them is a young participant called Kelly, who obtained an amateur championship title in the past.
I quickly introduce the details of the shoot to them.
MC: Bro Liu, Xiao Yu, Kelly, thank you all for participating in this shoot. Afterwards, the club will be allocating you to your coaches for guidance. Even though this team was put together at short notice, I hope everyone can have faith in each other, and motivate each other. We also prepared a substitute team member...
??: Sorry I’m late.
A familiar voice drifts from behind me, and I immediately turn around.
Tumblr media
Sunlight falls on every step Gavin takes towards me. The pair of eyes looking at me are bright and clear.
Gavin: I’m the substitute team member, Gavin. I’ve kept you waiting, Producer.
-
After the club assigns the coaches and enters the test run phase, I finally digest the “unexpected surprise” of Gavin’s sudden appearance.
I initially think of finding a chance to talk to him privately, but the coaches who arrive one after another leave me with no choice but to retract the gaze which keeps straying towards that figure.
I shake my head, forcing myself to focus on my current task. By the time all the filming angles are checked, most of the morning has already gone by.
Scanning my surroundings, I don’t see Gavin anywhere.
MC: ...where is he?
-
Walking along the racetrack and towards the vending machine, I decide to get a bottle of coffee to fill myself up before looking for Gavin.
Perhaps because I didn’t have breakfast, I suddenly feel dizzy after taking a few sips.
Tumblr media
By the time I regain my senses, I’m carried over to a long bench by a familiar force. Meeting Gavin’s evidently frantic gaze, I quickly tug the corners of my lips upwards into a smile.
MC: Gavin, I was just about to look for you. Turns out you were here.
He doesn’t speak. Lifting his hand, he wipes away the thin sheen of sweat on my forehead lightly. Then, a breeze envelops me gently, warm and comforting.
He takes the coffee in my hand smoothly, then retrieves soya milk and a sandwich from the bag in his hand.
Gavin: Eat your breakfast.
MC: ...okay, I’ll listen to Sir Gavin.
I munch on the sandwich obediently, occasionally blinking at Gavin to convey a message which says, “I feel much better, so there’s no need to worry”.
Gavin’s slightly furrowed brows finally arch subconsciously.
Gavin: I heard from Minor that you’ve been working overnight to prepare for this show.
MC: Haha, don’t listen to his nonsense. It isn’t that exaggerated...
Gavin: I also heard that I didn’t fit the standard. What standard did you set?
MC: ...
I clench my fists in secret, condemning Minor from the bottom of my heart for his “heinous act” of betraying me.
MC: I can explain! You don’t like appearing on camera, and your identity in STF is a pretty sensitive topic...
Tumblr media
Gavin: Mm, you’re right.
Gavin deliberately elongates his words, as though he doesn’t plan to let the matter go just like this.
Tumblr media
Gavin: So what’s your standard?
MC: ...we hope for the motorists to have a certain level of professional competence, to be sufficiently photogenic, and most importantly, to have an enthusiastic heart. But I really didn’t mean to say that you didn’t fit this standard!
Tumblr media
Gavin is finally unable to suppress the upward turn of his lips.
Gavin: Once you’re done today, sleep early tonight.
-
The training proceeds methodically, and filming goes very smoothly.
The roar of motors drift from the club’s racetrack, and motorcycles of every hue speed freely along the racetrack.
In the camera lens, two blue and white motorcycles seem to be speeding at the same pace, as though they’d break through the finish line at the same time.
Kelly: Have you ever participated in professional racing?
Tumblr media
Gavin: Nope.
Kelly: The way you cornered the motorcycle a few times - you can’t do that with ease without a few years of experience. How did you do it?
Gavin: I just drive often.
Kelly: Let’s find a chance to ride together some time.
Kelly pats him on the shoulder before continuing the training. Gavin walks over to me, twisting open a bottle of water before taking a sip.
Tumblr media
Gavin: Is filming going well?
MC: There’s too much footage from the training sessions. I might consider adding a special segment for interviews.
While speaking, I’m struck with an idea.
MC: Mr Gavin, why don’t you have a pre-interview with me to test out the effects?
I lift a bottle of water towards Gavin.
MC: What made you like motorcycles?
Gavin: I don’t have a precise answer. By the time I realised it, I already liked them.
MC: In that case, are there any motorcycle-related experiences which left a deep impression on you?
Tumblr media
Gavin is silent for a moment. He seems to think of something, then chuckles softly.
Tumblr media
Gavin: The time it overturned.
MC: Overturned? When did that happen? You can tell me in secret - this will definitely not be disclosed to the public.
Gavin looks at me, and he speaks in a volume only the both of us can hear -
Gavin: [whispers] The time when I rode on a snowmobile with the girl I like.
The snow field in my memories is cold, but the breath at my ear causes the temperature of my ear to rise.
[Note] This is a reference to Snow Mountain Date
MC: [blushing] Cough, that was...
All of a sudden, a clamour from the racetrack interrupts my words. The both of us stand up, only to discover that a motorcycle has overturned on the track.
Many people are standing at the side, and some call out for the medical staff.
Tumblr media
Gavin: That seems to be Old Liu. Let’s go over to have a look.
-
Tumblr media
Doctor: There are soft tissue injuries to your wrist and leg. Recuperate properly over this duration, and don’t engage in any intense activities.
Bro Liu: What about the competition tomorrow...
MC: Bro Liu, just recuperate. The doctor said that once your injuries are healed, you can still ride motorcycles in the future.
Bro Liu glances at Gavin.
Bro Liu: I guess I must admit that I’m getting old. It’s time to hand the baton to the young.
After contacting Minor and telling him about what happened, Gavin and I leave the hospital.
MC: Bro Liu worked so hard over the past two days. He must have really wanted to participate in tomorrow’s competition...
Tumblr media
Gavin: In that case, we’ll work hard together with his effort. This is when the substitute steps in.
-
Tumblr media
It’s the night before the competition, and I’m looking through the contents of the edited shoot over the past two days in my room.
After cutting the cornering training, I modify it into a slow-motion feature, then insert a few casual interactions between the team members as embellishments.
But no matter how I edit it, the clip is unable to convey the feelings I hoped it would.
I grab my hair in frustration, unwilling to accept my defeat. I locate the original video, watching it from the start.
The sound of the doorbell interrupts my slightly muddy train of thoughts. Opening the door, I see Gavin standing outside.
Tumblr media
Gavin: I saw that the lights were still on in your room, so I came over to take a look. Why aren’t you sleeping?
MC: Gavin...
Hearing the gloominess in my tone, he takes my hand and pulls me over to sit down on the sofa.
Gavin: Filming didn’t go well?
Placing the notebook laptop between us, I play the recording.
MC: For this shoot, I wanted to edit it into a small unscripted story to showcase the competitiveness and fun of being a racer. As of now, the story aspect is going smoothly, and the interactions between people are interesting too. But I think it’s missing something which can grab one’s attention immediately...
Gavin looks at the screen and ponders for a moment. Then, he suddenly asks me a question.
Tumblr media
Gavin: Want to go for a stroll? It’s too stuffy in the room. Getting some fresh air might give you new inspiration.
-
Likely to conserve energy for the competition tomorrow, everyone has returned to rest very early, and the racetrack is completely empty.
Gavin leaps onto the bleachers, then reaches out to me.
Tumblr media
Gavin: Let’s go for a spin.
He takes my hand, guiding me onto the vehicle. Then, he puts on a helmet for me, teaching me how to grab the throttle and brakes.
MC: Gavin, are you sure this is okay?
Gavin: You can’t go onto the road, but we’re still within the venue. After filming for days, don’t you want to experience it yourself?
MC: I want to!
Gavin sits behind me, two arms securing me steadily in his arms.
Along with the familiar sound of the engine, the motorcycle moves. The speed is incredibly steady, and is just right for enjoying the pleasant evening breeze.
MC: Gavin, can we go a little faster?
Tumblr media
Gavin: We can. Sit tight.
A loud roar drifts to my ears, and the motorcycle flies forward like an arrow leaving a bow.
Very soon, the most difficult part of the racetrack appears, comprising of consecutive bends. During the training sessions, many motorists faced many trials at this area.
Gavin grips my hand, loosening the throttle, causing the the motorcycle to slow down.
MC: There’s no need to step on the brakes?
Gavin: No need. Engine braking is enough to reduce the speed.
While speaking, the motorcycle tilts at an unbelievable angle at a turn. Gavin controls the direction with composure, air currents at the side keeping the motorcycle steady.
The motorcycle dangerously yet steadily completes the curved track, returning onto a straight track and picking up speed once again.
Gavin: MC, can you see where the cameras are? That’s the goal. On the racetrack, that’s the only thing in a racer’s eyes.
The sound of wind at my ears seems to quieten down. The moment we charge past the finishing line, I suddenly have a feeling that a full stop has been drawn on the racetrack.
Even after the motorcycle makes its gradual halt, I’m unable to return to my senses.
Seeming to understand my silence, Gavin doesn’t speak. He simply pushes the motorcycle that I'm on patiently, walking slowly.
MC: Gavin, I know what this story is missing. Stirring the emotions of viewers requires the most important thing which can make them seethe with excitement -
Gavin: Winning the championship.
MC: That’s right. All the effort from before is meant for the final sprint towards the goal. Winning the championship is the core of a competitive spirit, and is also what the show’s theme of “limit” is seeking after. But... Gavin, do you think we have a chance at winning the championship tomorrow?
Gavin: Yes. But while we’re improving, others are improving as well. Everyone on the racetrack will be aiming towards victory. The people you selected are very outstanding. Believe in them, and believe in yourself.
MC: Mm, everyone has already worked very hard. When it comes to winning, it’s good enough if they try their best.
Gavin parks the motorcycle properly, then carries me down from it.
Tumblr media
Gavin: Go back and have a good sleep. You don’t have to worry too much about the competition tomorrow.
-
Tumblr media
It’s finally time for the competition. Seeing the filled audience seats, I feel incredibly nervous.
Kelly: I didn't expect to see so many people.
MC: It’s a Sunday, and the club decided to open the venue to the public as publicity.
I take a deep breath to calm my emotions.
MC: Let’s enjoy the fun of racing to our heart’s content! Shall we do a pre-competition ceremony?
Tumblr media
While speaking, I stretch out my hand. Gavin cooperates, placing his palm over the back of my hand. He gives it a gentle pinch, and it feels as though an endless stream of strength is being transmitted.
It’s a sense of security belonging only to Gavin.
MC: Safety first, the competition second. Everyone, all the best!
Tumblr media
All the motorists have taken their places at the starting line. Based on prior suggestions by the club, I’ve arranged Kelly to take on the first battle, and Gavin will be the finale.
With the green light signalling the start of the competition, twenty motorcycles which have been waiting for action seem to sprint forward at the same time.
The sound of motor engines causes everyone’s adrenaline to spike, and the crowd becomes immersed in the competition.
I’m positioned closest to the audience seats. This is the first time I’m viewing a competition from such a close distance. Even though it’s an amateur competition, it’s sufficiently astounding.
Xiao Yu makes a few minor mistakes at the bends, causing the team to lag behind temporarily.
Carefully observing the changes on the racetrack, I don’t feel overly anxious.
Because it’d be Gavin’s turn next. With him around, I always feel exceptionally at ease.
I look at Gavin as he waits at the handover area with a helmet over his head. He seems to sense my gaze, and turns around to see my thumbs up.
In the next second, his motorcycle charges into the racetrack.
The blue and white motorcycle courses past the bends nimbly in almost “L” shape movements.
As compared to my experience last night, I can see Gavin’s cornering techniques even more clearly from the audience seats.
Although the camera is unable to capture his expression, it isn’t difficult to imagine his focused and bright eyes from underneath the helmet.
When the competition enters its final round, Gavin has already reached the second place, and there’s hardly any difference between him and the first competitor.
The audience’s emotions are stirred by this intense competition, and the sound of cheers surge forward like a tide.
I find myself being influenced as well, staring fixedly at that sprinting figure.
After the upcoming bend, the goal will not be far.
Unexpectedly, a motorcycle behind suddenly accelerates towards the bend, using its full strength to make a last effort.
However, the motorcycle tilts too much. It’s clear that the centre of gravity was not controlled properly, sending the motorist collapsing onto the track.
At this point, Gavin’s motorcycle is already over half of the bend. He controls the dip of the motorcycle, barely avoiding the fallen vehicle.
Because of this incident, some distance is pulled between himself and the motorist in first place.
On the straight road, Gavin’s motorcycle suddenly accelerates, keeping pace with the motorist in front.
In this moment, time seems to slow down. I hold my breath, feeling as though my spirit has become one with that sprinting figure.
The rustling of leaves, the flapping wings of birds, the yelling of the audience, the checkered flag waving mid-air... all of them gather into one voice-
Tumblr media
Announcer: The first place goes to No. 07!
On the big screen, Gavin’s name is listed impressively at the top.
At the final moment, he attained first place with a 0.06 second difference, winning the championship.
Tumblr media
Gavin did it!
The motorcycle comes to a gradual halt. Gavin removes his helmet, droplets of sweat reflecting bright rays of light beneath the sunlight.
The smile on his face is sparkling and dazzling, bringing with it the confidence belonging to a victor.
Such a result is both unexpected yet within my expectations.
Gavin turns around, looking squarely in my direction.
He shakes his head casually, which has gotten messy from his helmet, and says two words.
Gavin: We won.
-
The employees push the motorcycles back to the venue. Gavin heads over to the referee’s seat, lowers his head and says a few things before walking to me.
Tumblr media
The gold medal in his hand dangles slightly, reflecting a dazzling light.
Cheers from the surroundings grow brighter as he draws closer. Separated by the bleachers, he stretches out his hand towards me -
He leans over the bleachers slightly. As he draws closer, I can detect the scent belonging only to Gavin.
Gavin hangs the medal around my neck, announcing our victory.
Gavin: The champion title - we’ve got it.
My mouth opens, but I have no idea what to say. My body reacts faster than my brain. I stretch out both arms, hugging him with all the strength in my body.
Scorching warmth and the dampness of sweat from the competition linger on him.
Tumblr media
Gavin returns the embrace. It’s as though this hug is enough for us to understand each other’s sentiments.
Gavin: I think I heard you cheering me on.
MC: I did it so softly, but you could hear it?
Gavin: Mm, the wind told me. Everything you say - I can hear them.
MC: There’s still one thing the wind hasn’t had the time to tell you. I’ll say it myself right now.
Turning my face to the side, I bring it close to his ear.
MC: Gavin, you’ll always be the only champion in my heart.

Tumblr media
It’s crazy how much things could change and yet stay the same in the span of a year.
You still loved your home pack, going back to see the Alphas, Betas, and Omegas that helped shaped you into the person you were today at least once a month. You were still spoiled by your parents, who made it their personal mission to shower you with gifts whenever they had the opportunity to see their only child. Most of all, you still used the skills that you had learned in your childhood pack as you prepared to become leader of your new pack with your husband.
Speaking of your husband, Namjoon was the best and most enjoyable change in your life as you had spent the past year falling in love with him.
Admittedly, adjusting to being in a marriage and to a man that you did not know or choose beforehand was hard, but you quickly found out that Namjoon was one of the most amazing people that you had ever met in your life. He was strong, dependable, and trustworthy just like a typical Alpha but you were delighted to find that he was also big on communication and making sure that you felt comfortable enough to talk to him, he was caring, and even sensitive in certain situations. He had quickly become your best friend and you found yourself falling for him not long after the wedding was over.
“Y/N?” Eun Kyung called out and you shook your head as you broke out of your thoughts.
“I’m sorry,” you apologized sheepishly as you turned to look at your mother in law. “Can you repeat what you said? I wasn’t listening.”
“I see that,” she smiled knowingly. “A lot on your mind?”
“Kind of,” you shrugged as you fiddled with the handle of the tea cup that was in front of you.
“Well, that’s understandable sweetie,” she assured you. “We’ve all been so busy getting ready for the Coronation, it’s no wonder that your thoughts are all over the place.”
In the year since you and Namjoon had gotten married, Namjoon’s father Ho-jin had begun to slowly pass over the responsibilities of being Pack Alpha over to Namjoon. Two months ago, he had announced his official retirement and Namjoon would be having a Coronation to celebrate a new era of power. Of course, you would be celebrated as well given the fact that you would be replacing Eun Kyung as Pack Omega.
“Anything you want to discuss?” Eun Kyung wondered.
“You don’t mind?”
“Y/N-ah, that’s what we started these weekly tea dates for, remember?” She pointed out with a giggle and you smiled as you thought back on how your mother in law had insisted that you two meet every Tuesday aftermoon in order to talk and spend time together. At first, you were weary of it but it’s quickly become one of the highlights of your week, every week.
“I guess I’m just nervous about becoming Pack Omega,” you confessed. “I mean, I’m not from this pack and even though it seems like everyone likes me well enough, that might change once Namjoon’s officially Pack Alpha.”
“You remember how I told you about how my marriage to Ho-jin was arranged and how I replaced his mother when the time came?” Eun Kyung asked and you nodded your head. “I had the exact same fears as you do now and my mother in law, may she rest with the ancestors, gave me an amazing piece of advice that I have used continuously over the past 30 years. Wanna know what it is?”
“Yeah.”
“Your only duty as Pack Omega is to support your Alpha,” Eun Kyung began. “Whether that means reassuring him that he’s making a right decision, comforting him when he’s stressed and upset or even cussing him out when he’s dead wrong. The job of a Pack Leader is a stressful one and they must know that even if it feels like the world is on their shoulders, they will always have one person in their corner and that’s us.”
“That’s it?” You giggled and Eun Kyung nodded with a smile, pausing to take a sip of her tea before continuing.
“It seems intuitive right, because we’re Omegas ourselves but being the spouse of a Pack Leader means that we always have to shoulder a little bit more, whether it be more pain, more sadness, more hope,” she explained. “But I guarantee you, making sure that Namjoon is taken care will be the greatest thing that you can do for the pack.”
“I believe you,” you said. “I just know that Namjoon isn’t gonna make it easy for me. You know how he is about work and making sure the pack’s taken care of.”
“Don’t worry, Ho-jin already said that he plans to talk to him about finding a healthy balance,” Eun Kyung told you.
“Good,” you smiled as you brought your tea cup to your mouth, taking a long sip from it.
“Speaking of that though, there was actually something that I wanted to talk to you about,” she said and you lowered your cup from your lips.
“Go ahead,” you encouraged her before taking another sip.
“Are you and Namjoon....uh....fulfilling your....marital duties?” She wondered and you choked on your tea, immediately setting your cup down as you coughed harshly. Eun Kyung reached over and gave you several strong pats on the back, which helped you regulate your breathing again.
“Uh, why do you ask?” You chuckled nervously.
“Well, with the coronation coming up, there’s been talk about the fact that you aren’t pregnant yet,” Eun Kyung elaborated and your eyes widened in realization. “Some people are beginning to become concerned.”
“And you’re one of them?” You shot back.
“Yes, but not in the way that you’re thinking,” she laughed. “I’m worried about you as a person and not about your ability to conceive.”
“Why?”
“Because I know what it’s like to have your worth evaluated only in terms of how many kids you can pop out,” she smiled sadly and as her words registered with you, your jaw dropped as you put the pieces together.
“Eun Kyung, you?”
“I struggled with infertility, yes,” she confirmed.
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” you whispered as you reached out, setting one of your hands on top of hers. She turned her hand around and intertwined your fingers with hers.
“Oh, I’m ok sweetie,” she swore. “After Ho-jin and I got married, we had miscarriage after miscarriage and it took six years before I got pregnant with Namjoon and he became our miracle baby. I’m telling you all this because I known how isolating that struggle can be and if that’s the case for you, I wanted you to know that you’re not alone.”
“I appreciate it Eun Kyung, but I don’t think that’s the case for Namjoon and I,” you muttered. “We’re just taking things slow and not rushing it. I mean, we’ve only been married for a year and we have years to have babies.”
“Alright sweetheart, alright,” Eun Kyung laughed. “I just wanted you to know that I’m here for you and if that’s how you and Namjoon feel, then I’ll get everyone else off your back.”
“Thank you,” you smiled gratefully and she tightened the grip that she had on your hand reassuringly.
“No problem. Now, onto more important business,” she grinned. “Finding you a dress to wear for the coronation.” You nodded your head immediately, grateful that she changed the direction of the conversation because you had no idea how to tell her that you and Namjoon had only had sex a handful of times in the last year.
.............................................
After finally leaving Ho-jin and Eun Kyung’s house a few hours later, you went home and made dinner. As usual, Namjoon came home around 6 and the two of you sat down in your dining room together, eating and talking about how your days went.
Everything was going very normally until Namjoon called out to you as you both worked on cleaning up the kitchen.
“Y/N-ah?” He said.
“Hmm?”
“Did my mom say something to you today about a baby?” He wondered and you turned to look over at him, watching as he continued to wash the dishes as if he hadn’t just asked you what he did.
“How did you know?” You asked.
“My father said something about it to me today after our meeting,” Namjoon sighed and you walked over to him, leaning against the counter so that you could look at him.
“She did too, and she told me about her infertility,” you told him. “Why didn’t you ever say anything?”
“Because it’s super personal to her and I didn’t know if she would be comfortable with me telling you,” he explained. “But why do you think I wanted 5 pups initially?”
“I get it now,” you giggled. “What did your dad say when he brought it up?”
“It was definitely less diplomatic than my mom,” he chuckled as he finished rinsing off the dishes and began drying off his hands. “He went on and on about how our family legacy needs to continue on and if we’re able, we need to have at least a few kids.”
“Hmm,” you murmured and Namjoon looked at you skeptically, raising his eyebrow.
“What’s that mean?” He laughed.
“Nothing,” you shrugged as you looked down at your feet but he didn’t buy that, throwing the towel that he was holding onto the counter and moving closer to you.
“Hey, talk to me,” he pleaded and you sighed heavily before squaring your shoulders and looking up at him again.
“Why don’t you ever try to have sex with me?” You demanded to know. “I mean, besides our wedding night, we’ve only had sex during my two heats and your rut, and I’m guessing that you didn't tell your father that.”
“No, I didn’t tell him that,” Namjoon huffed with a smile. “And the reason that I haven’t been trying is because I don’t want to push you. Even though we both agreed to this marriage, it still never leaves my mind that you didn’t really choose this. I don’t want to force you into yet another life changing decision, because pups are forever.”
“Hey, I wasn’t forced into anything,” you gently corrected him. “Yeah, I had to make a choice to save my pack but I did that because I wanted to. Plus, you didn’t necessarily choose this either.”
“I know but still,” he muttered. “I just didn’t want you to think that you were obligated to have sex with me, let alone have my pups. And as for the heat and rut thing, it was easier because you asked for me during your heat and during my rut, I could blame it on my hormones.”
“You sure that it’s not because you’re not attracted to me?” You joked lamely and Namjoon smacked his lips together as he set his hands on your cheeks, forcing you to maintain eye contact with him.
“Baby, you’re the most gorgeous woman that I’ve ever laid my eyes on,” he told you seriously. “I think the world of you, and you know that.”
“It’s kind of hard to remember,” you admitted.
“I should have explained to you my reasoning and for that, I’m sorry,” he apologized. “But don’t you ever think for one second that I don’t want you. I think about you all the time, my Alpha gets nervous anytime that I’m away from you for too long and hell, my cock gets hard as soon as you look at me with these eyes.”
“Namjoon,” you whined through giggles, which made him smile as he looked at you fondly.
“If you’re comfortable with it, I’d have sex with you whenever you wanted,” he said.
“I’m comfortable with it,” you assured him. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” he replied, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
“But what about pups?” You whispered, your lips moving against his as you spoke.
“Baby, I’d love to see you pregnant with my pups,” he told you. “If it were up to just me, you’d always be pregnant. All you have to do is say the word.”
“I want your pups Alpha,” you murmured as you looked up at him through your lashes. “Please.” Without another word, Namjoon bent down and scooped you up into his arms, making you squeal and cling onto him as he carried you bridal style out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
“I could’ve walked!” You exclaimed while giggling.
“This is more romantic,” he winked at you. After making it up the stairs, he walked down the hallway to your bedroom, using one hand to open the door before stepping inside. He walked over to the bed, laying you down gently before crawling on top of you and kissing you passionately.
You moaned into his mouth, your legs coming up to wrap themselves around his waist as you pulled him closer to you. He moved away from your lips eventually, his mouth trailing downwards and sucking on the mating mark that he had given you on your wedding night.
“You’re perfect baby,” he mumbled against your skin and you could barely reply because he had begun to grind against you. The thin layer of your leggings did little to inhibit the feeling, and you felt yourself whining as you became more turned on.
“W-wanna suck you off,” you whispered shyly and he pulled his face out of your neck, looking down at you with a smile.
“Alright,” he nodded before climbing off of you, settling himself next to you on the bed. You sat up then, reaching down and pulling off your t-shirt before letting Namjoon help you unclip your bra. Even though the two of you hadn’t had sex as often as you hoped, you had sex often enough to know that your husband was definitely a breast man and he loved to see them while you gave him a blow job.
You moved down the bed and settled yourself on your stomach in between his legs, pulling down the shorts he had on and his boxers just enough so that his cock fell out, taking ahold of it in both of your hands. He was almost fully hard and you didn’t waste any time taking him into your mouth, swirling your tongue around the tip.
“Fuck,” Namjoon groaned deeply and hearing your Alpha feel good only spurred you on. You then took him as deep into your mouth as you could, making him moan from how good your throat felt around his cock. Once you deemed him wet enough, you began to bob your head up and down, using your hands to stroke the parts of his shaft that you couldn’t reach with your mouth.
“Good girl baby,” he praised you. “So good to my cock.” You could feel yourself getting wet but you were too focused on doing your best to make your husband feel good. As you continued to suck him off for a few minutes, you could feel his cock beginning to throb lightly and you knew that meant that he was close to coming. Just as that thought registered in your mind though, Namjoon reached down and pulled himself out of your mouth.
“What’s wrong?” You wondered.
“You're sucking me off a little too well baby,” he chuckled. “I was about to come embarrassingly fast.”
“That’s ok,” you shrugged.
“Not if you want my pups inside of you instead of in your mouth,” he smirked, making you blush at his words. “Here, switch places with me.” You sat up and shuffled on your knees up the bed, turning yourself around before laying down on your back. Namjoon then sat up and grabbed ahold of the waist band of your leggings, pulling them down along with your panties. You let your legs fall out and Namjoon licked his lips once he set his eyes on your bare pussy.
“I knew it,” he grumbled, reaching out and letting his middle finger ghost over your clit. “I could tell you were getting wet baby, I could smell your scent from your pussy.” Without giving you the chance to reply, he dove forward and sucked your clit into his mouth. You cried out, your back arching up off of the bed as he suckled on your clit.
“Damn it,” you whimpered, lifting your head and watching him as he began to leave wide licks up your slit.
“Let’s see how you do with a finger,” Namjoon muttered, pausing the actions of his tongue in order to slide his middle finger inside of you.
“Oh fuck,” you gasped, letting your had fall back against the bed.
“You’re so tight baby, you’re just swallowing my finger,” Namjoon groaned. You felt movement on the bed and when you opened your eyes, you were surprised to see that Namjoon was now laying next to you on the bed, looking down at you as he pushed a second finger in alongside his
“You want Alpha to make you come like this?” He wondered aloud as he began to thrust his finger in and out of you. “Wanna come on my fingers?”
“Please,” you nodded and he smiled as he began to fuck you faster. Namjoon’s fingers were long and slender, meaning that he as able to reach the deepest parts of you without it being too overwhelming to you.
“Ha, ha,” you moaned in time with his thrusts.
“You’re dripping baby,” he told you but you didn’t even hear him because you could feel your orgasm winding to it’s end in your core.
“I’m gonna come,” you announced and nothing could’ve prepared you for Namjoon pulling his fingers out of you. You whipped your head to look over at him, tears beginning to well up in your eyes as you felt your orgasm slowly but surely slipping away.
“Why?” You pouted and Namjoon cooed at you before leaning over and kissing you firmly for a few seconds before pulling away.
“Alpha wants his Omega to come on his cock while I come inside of you, ok?” He told you and you sighed reluctantly before nodding your head.
Namjoon pushed his shorts and underwear all the way off his legs before reaching up and pulling his t-shirt off as well. He then sat up and moved to settle in between your legs, taking ahold of the base of his cock and tapping the head of it on your clit.
“If you want me to c-come on your cock, d-don’t tease me,” you whined and he just chuckled fondly.
“Ok, I’m sorry baby,” he whispered, guiding his cock into you slowly. You felt like you were going to choke on air as he stretched you out, since you had basically forgotten how long and thick he was.
“Oh, just like that baby,” Namjoon mumbled as he began to slowly thrust in and out of you. “You’re opening up so good for me.”
“A-Alpha,” you whimpered, clutching onto his forearms as he began to fuck you faster. “Fuck, it feels so good.”
“What does?” Namjoon goaded you. “Tell your Alpha baby.”
“Your cock feels good inside me,” you moaned. “Feel so full.”
“God, I can’t believe that I was keeping myself from feeling your tight little pussy every day,” he grumbled. “I’m sorry baby.”
“It’s o-ok,” you stammered back, the beginnings of your orgasm starting to reappear.
“I’m gonna fuck you everyday from here on out if you let me,” he swore, looking down at you with hooded eyes. “Would you want that? Want Alpha to always keep you full with his knot?”
“Please, please, please,” you chanted.
“Want Alpha to fuck a baby into you?”
“Give it to me,” you moaned loudly and Namjoon reached up, sliding two of his fingers into your open mouth. You didn’t even hesitate to start sucking on them, making your husband groan as your tongue slid around the digits.
“Gonna make you come,” he said as he pulled his fingers away from your mouth, reaching down and setting them on your clit. Your mouth dropped open as he began to rub firm circles on the nub and you were almost embarrassed by  how fast the stimulation sped up the pace at which your orgasm was running towards you.
“Holy fuck, don’t stop,” you pleaded. “I’m gonna come.”
“Go ahead baby, I won’t stop you,” he promised as he continued to fuck you and rub your clit. Sure enough, your orgasm slammed into you a few seconds later. The moan that fell out of your mouth was almost deafeningly loud and you were sure that Namjoon would have indents on his arm from where you were gripping onto his skin as your back arched up off of the bed.
“Fuck, you’re squirting baby,” he groaned as he took his hand off of your clit and placed his hands on the bed next to your head, fucking into you even harder now.
“T-too much,” you murmured as you set your hands against his chest.
“You love it though. You’re still coming for me,” he smirked and you couldn’t help but to blush because you could still feel yourself leaking onto his cock.
“I do,” you admitted and he leaned down, pressing a firm kiss to your lips.
“You’re so perfect for me,” he grumbled and you could feel the beginnings of his knot starting to swell. “Squirting for me and marking your Alpha. God, it makes me want to stuff my knot into you and fill you up with my pups.”
“Do it,” you encouraged him. “Give me a baby Joon.”
“I love you,” he grunted and you gave him a small smile.
“I love you too,” you replied, moaning lightly when he kissed you again. As the two of you made out, Namjoon pushed his knot inside of you and you felt his cum start to pour into you. He continued to give you light strokes, making sure to fuck his cum even deeper inside of you than it already was.
“Making sure that it takes huh?” You giggled and he just blushed as he pulled back to look at you.
“Gotta make it worth it,” he pointed out. “Besides, even if you don’t get pregnant this time, we can always try again and again and again.”
“As long as you make me come like that again,” you nodded in agreement.
“Oh, I definitely wanna see that again,” he smirked. “Maybe I should deny you your orgasm more often.”
“I’ll murder you,” you stated firmly, making him laugh loudly.
“I’m joking baby,” he said, leaning down and kissing your mating mark. “Love you.”
“I love you too,” you whispered.
.............................................
A few weeks later, the day of Namjoon’s coronation had finally come. The entire pack was gathered outside near the wall of magnolias that you and Namjoon had gotten married near, waiting for the ceremony to take place.
The two of you were in your shared bedroom, where you were helping him get dressed into his traditional hanbok.
“Are you ok?” You asked him while you fastened the buttons on his chest.
“Yeah, of course,” he chuckled awkwardly. “Why do you ask?”
“You’re trembling,” you giggled and he just sighed heavily.
“I’m terrified,” he admitted. “I’ve been looking forward to being Pack Leader my entire life but what if I’m not good at it? My dad and grandfather were amazing Pack Alphas and what if I can’t measure up?”
“Joon,” you tsked as you reached up and set your hands on his cheeks, making him look you in the eyes. “You can’t compare yourself to anyone else. You are going to be an amazing leader because you’re thoughtful, caring, and selfless.”
“You think so?”
“I know so,” you smiled. “Just like I know that you’ll be an amazing daddy.”
“A daddy?” He repeated confusedly and you nodded your head. It took him a few minutes but when he put the pieces together, his eyes widened. “Baby, are you pregnant?”
“I am,” you nodded, squealing in surprise when Namjoon wrapped his arms around you and picked you up, spinning you around in a circle. “Wait, you’re gonna make me nauseous!”
“Fuck, I’m sorry,” he laughed as he set you back down on the ground. “I just can’t believe it.”
“You’re happy, right?”
“Of course I am,” he sighed contentedly. “I’m so happy that our parents arranged our marriage.”
“Ditto,” you cooed, leaning forward and kissing him gently for a few seconds before pulling away. “Now, we have to go. You have to go and claim your rightful position.”
“We have to claim our rightful position,” he corrected you as he reached down and intertwined your fingers with his. After taking one last look at him to make sure that he looked good, the two of you walked downstairs and out of your house, ready to step into your new roles and the new phase of your lives.

Snow White and Juliet
trigger warning: suicide and just whatever happened in Romeo and Juliet & Snow White but darker.
Tumblr media
People tend to define different things with the same word.
According to some, the lack of life is simply death. Others include there people who do nothing but work. They have no love, no passion. Those who remain unmoved by the suffering of others. Heartless ones.
For one poison vendor, "lifeless" meant being unable to move, drink, eat, but think. Think for eternity about nothing, what is described harsher than real death.
◆◆◆
„Test 103 was accomplished with success.”
There is confusion in the experiment hall. Researchers run from monitor to monitor, all comparing unexpected, but desired results.
No errors in documentation. No lapses in research. No difference in subsequent attempts.
The team of researchers was cheering in awe: the antidote for one of the biggest poisons in Twisted Wonderland, the "Poisoned Apple", has been found.
It's time to wake Neige Leblanche up.
◆◆◆
The Leblanche Tragedy happened almost two years ago when many haters got to harras Neige and his fiancée, [Name], who just announced their relationship. You were meeting already for quite a time, and knowing each other even longer. It wasn't easy to break any of you by hate.
But it wasn't also easy to live with people, who despised you with all their heart.
"It's alright," Neige whispered, his fingers combing the hair of his beloved. His voice was tranquil and soothing as always, almost by itself vanishing every bad experience. "It will be alright. I will make sure it will be."
"I know. And I am always thankful for that," you replied, cuddling him even more. Neige scent was another thing that hadn't changed over years; it was still the same aroma of wild, but soft flowers and heartwarming sunrays. Another wonderful feature. "I love you, Neige."
"I love you too."
That was the last discussion you had before the disaster happened.
And it started from no one else than Vil Schoenheit, who wasn't even aware how his actions will take a completely another turn than everyone expected.
◆◆◆
"Will it solve it? The sleeping potion?" you asked, turning the vial in your hands. It was no bigger than your little finger, and the potion there was taking only half of the space.
Not so long ago, around an hour, you found yourself invited by Vil to a tea party. You couldn't figure if he had been struck by your "help me" aura or was searching for a company, but you ended up in gardens, staring at the porcelain pot in which the tea was brewing.
It favoured the first meeting you two had: the tableware with the same, old-fashioned flowery pattern and the rich aroma of tea leaves of Vil's choice. Only a plate with sweets and fruits was something new—it was hard to convince Vil to bring anything sugary and even harder to make him try it. He finally ate a small (microscopical, in your opinion) piece of hand-made shortcake, but that was all you could do to let him appreciate the sweet energy shot.
"I cannot guarantee anything," Vil replied, watching you examine the bottle's content. "But it may work. With an emphasis on 'may'," he added, tearing his gaze away. Vil was your dear friend, and even if he didn't approve of your taste in men, especially your pick for a future husband, you were close enough to have him help you come up with a solution. "Use it as a last resort. I... am sure you will be able to find a better, safer way. For example, dumping your fiancé."
You giggled, but both of you knew his proposition was impossible. You could never leave Neige.
"Thank you, no thank you," you answered with a smile. The only thing that didn't let it last longer, were your problems. "Again, I am indebted to you. Thank you for being the best and the best prettiest in my life."
Vil puts the tea away, its taste suddenly feeling bitter and hard to swallow.
"...Well then. [Name], don't be reckless."
"I will try my best not to. I promise."
◆◆◆
You found a solution.
If you were the reason which made people attack Neige on social media and not only, why wouldn't you just disappear?
Not for eternity. Only for a month, maybe a few weeks, until the turmoil would silence. You and Neige could get married this way, inviting no one else than the closest of the closest people for the ceremony. Announcing your marriage and fake death wouldn't be that much of a shock as many could assume. There is a field called effective business, and everything can happen under that name.
I know how reckless is that, you were writing your thoughts on a paper. Once the dwarfs you invited to yourself saw the letter, they would give it to Neige. And you two would no longer have anyone who could undo anything. But think about it, Neige! If we may finally be together, isn't it a great chance?
You reassured him in the letter that you would wake up after few days. You also highlighted that he doesn't have to use your plan and let you two fight against the darker side of Wonderland together. He could just let you have week-long beauty sleep and with a fresh mind, try to solve your problems by less drastic measures: the press or announcements.
Maybe you were only overthinking and complicating the situation too much.
Your most loving fan, [Name]
You signed yourself and closed the envelope.
Your gaze returned to the sleeping potion. I am exaggerating, you thought. Your plans could fit into a script of a good film but in real life? What you were about to do felt... irrational and foolish.
Maybe you would change your mind if not the rush.
Once you heard footsteps on the floor and your friends, dwarfs, calling your name, you knew it is time to make a decision.
You quickly unscrewed the bottle and put it in your mouth. The sweet, sleepy fragrance with a hint of rosemary sent you to a sleep that devotedly resembled a death. The crash and sound of breaking glass as you fell to the ground immediately alerted everyone in the mansion. You couldn't hear the accelerated footsteps, screams, cries and commotion that was going on over you.
Before anyone could think to do something other than trying to wake you up and calling the hospital, the letter with your plan flew outside the window.
That night you broke two things: the promise you made to Vil and a heart of Neige.
◆◆◆
The death of [Name], the fiancée of the most adored man in the world.
Marriage cancelled? The mystery behind the death of [Name] [Surname].
A Dead bride.
‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎
Neige scrolled through the media, each article made his heart ache. He ignored a great count of calls and didn't manage to appear at your funeral in time.
He was a broken toy, who just lost its batteries. He was a wrack of what he was before. Beautiful on the outside, blank on the inside.
Wearing a dark, a bit too oversized suit, he laid against one of the roadside trees. He closed his eyes, trying not to focus on any people, buildings or sounds except his breath. It was slow and steady until he remembered why he tries to calm down; then he would choke on his breath, tears falling from his eyes and trying to not lose balance.
"Would you like an apple?"
Neige wiped his tears in a sleeve and slowly turned around to see an old lady behind a stall. It was ruined and seemed unattended for years. The counter was doty, wood softened and tore off in big pieces by the wind and rain. Between beautifully decorated shops and cafes, this stall seemed to be a remnant that no one ever wanted to touch.
"Thank you, but I am fine." Neige replied in his polite tone, but the smile he sent her looked like nothing near 'fine'. "I am not allowed to take anything from strangers, but that is really kind of you!"
"Not just a bite?" the lady continued, putting an apple on the counter. It was brown, slightly green, and Neige would never guess it was an apple. Maybe more like a rotten apple, but no one would say that this apple was unfresh. Adversely, it contained freshness, but not of the common kind. "Wouldn't you like to join your lover?"
Neige held his breath.
"You mean... to die?"
"What I mean has no value. You will understand it the other way, even if I tried to explain," she replied. Her voice was squeaky as she repeated the question the same enigmatic way she did the first time. "So, would you like an apple?"
"No, thank you..." Neige bowed slightly. He hesitated, before trying his best to speak up. "I- I think [Name] would hate me dying. Only if she could understand this too..."
"Maybe she did" the lady replied. There was conviction in her voice, and Neige couldn't help but take her words seriously. "Or maybe not."
Neige hoped you did. How he loved you and how your death changed him from the happiest man in the world, the saddest one. He didn't know why you took your life and why he didn't notice anything before. He regretted spending not as much time with you as he wanted to.
But nothing could be done to change the past.
"I will get going," Neige said. He glanced towards the old lady, who smiled at him and showed some of her lacking teeth. "And... could you fetch me this apple, please?"
◆◆◆
Once Neige's gaze settled on your figure, the world was immediately forgotten.
He could hear his pulse pounding in his ears much more than silence who was your only companion.
No flowers, candles and golden ornaments of the church could divide Neige's attention, as his pace fastened with every step he made towards you. He didn't hesitate to lock his fingers with yours. He squeezed them, wishing his warmth could reach you.
"[Name]..." he whispered, getting his face closer to your sleeping face. He gently removed the lost strands of hair from your face, not believing that you won't wake up anymore. As much as he wanted to, no mage in Twisted Wonderland could bring the dead back to life. At least not in human's form. "I love you so much. T-too much, I think. How can I live without... my life?"
He gave you one last 'farewell' kiss on the lips, his body next to yours. "See you soon, [Name]."
His expression is the softest one he ever wore, as he reaches for an apple.
He bit it.
And then 'died'.
No sooner than the poison completely took control of his body, you woke up.
"Neige...?" you murmured, bringing your hand to his cheek. The anxiety mingled with your thoughts once you look around yourself. "We are... in a coffin?" You sat. It required effort, after not using muscles for a whole week. By the time, you took a break, you conjectured what happened. You jerked your head around and let your hands cup your lover's face. "Ple-please, please, Neige, don't do this to me. Please."
He didn't respond and the bitterness you tasted when you kissed his still warm lips confirmed that he didn't use Vil's potion. He was poisoned, and the amount left on his lips wasn't enough to take you to the same place as him. "Why didn't left anything for me? Neige..."
Your eye caught the glimmer. You went closer to notice the dagger, resting on the floor. It wasn't that visible as the weapon would be, and until you were a step from it, you could see how thin the blade was. As edge as sturdy.
The fear paralyzed you, as you came back to the coffin. But the remorse and the sight of your lover's dead body were stronger. Your whole body was shivering, a tremor affecting you more than you could ever imagine, making you go mad. Insane.
With one sharp move, you dug the blade into your chest, scared and closing your eyes.
"I am a fool."
By the time anyone arrives, it is too late to rescue you or stop the poison coursing through Neige's veins.
◆◆◆
In the morning sun rises, and everyone in Wonderland wakes up.
It is also the first time in two years since Neige fell asleep.
He can't feel anything. He can't sense the flaxen shirt the doctors changed him in. He can't get his mind through the haze, that has been floating around his thoughts just after he drank the poison. He can't answer the calls of the doctors and his friends, dwarfs, who are gathering around his bed.
But he can open his eyes.
And once he does, the silence is overcoming. When the fact finally sinks in everyone's heart, a great cheer flies across the room. Some of the gathered give Neige comforting touch or reassuringly squeeze his hand.
It takes him some time to realize what is happening, why is he in the hospital room, why people are crying around him and why you aren't the first one he sees once he wakes up. His habit of kicking you while sleeping was something you complained and teased him about. Even if he didn't wake you in his sleep, when he was getting up, his knee would always hit your arm or stomach, waking you up and having you buck him off the bed as revenge.
What he also can do, except for trying to stay awake and catching things his visitors chatter around him, is to try to remember. He didn't lose his memories! It just needs some effort to get them back from the darkest recesses of his mind! And then to regret it.
A whole wave of memories hits him like a tsunami, not leaving him space to breathe and see anything else than chaos, now replaced by the memories of you two.
The kisses. The promises. The vowes. The proposal. The struggles. The tenacity to get over your problems. The plan. The dead body of yours.
He doesn't have to turn around to know that you aren't in a hospital bed beside him. He remembered some of the talks of his friends when he was sleeping. Now everyone is waiting for him to return.
"Neige! You've finally woke up, huh!" Che'nya chippers, his voice cracking at last words. He is relieved about the news and only bad Neige's condition stops him from throwing himself at his arms and spreading the revelation to everyone... No, not even Neige himself can stop him from the latter.
Neige wasn't going to stop him. His mind still replayed the "finally woke up" part, as if the film stopped at the most painful scene, then broke and started to replay the scene once again. And again.
He turned his head on the side, letting the tears run down his cheeks.
He really can't feel anything.
"That," Neige manages to whisper under his breath. It is the first time he tries to say anything, and grievously struggles to put his words together. "is- is... so cruel." Everyone stared at him in silence, the same way they did when Neige and his dead lover were found. His cry brings tears to everyone's eyes, having many people bow under the weight of sorrow and put a hand over their lips to not let themself break again. "I didn't want to wake up..!"

———
One week.
That’s how long it had been since their argument. Spencer had driven back to his apartment in silence, absolutely stunned by the way things had blown up.
They’d gotten back from the case in Utah on the fifth of January, and he’d driven straight to Y/N’s, ready to give her a belated New Year’s kiss. Immediately upon entering her apartment, he knew something was wrong. Her hug was stiff, her kiss brief, her eye contact minimal. He’d spent the night, but they barely touched, and she left early for work without waking him. He’d let himself out and texted her later in the day to invite her over for dinner.
Dinner hadn’t been any less awkward, and when he felt awkward, he knew it was bad. He finally couldn’t ignore it any longer, and he’d called it out. He had expected some resistance, but he hadn’t expected that. Y/N never spoke to him with any malice at all, even when he was actually doing something that irritated her. She was the queen of healthy communication. So for her to speak to him like that meant that the underlying issue was much, much worse than he’d originally thought.
He’d gone over their conversations a thousand times, looking desperately for the moment that it went wrong. After some deep consideration, he was certain that something had happened on New Year’s Eve. He just wasn’t sure what. Y/N was insistent that she wasn’t bothered by the declined call, but he still wished he could go back in time and answer it. He was pretty sure the seeds of their argument had sprouted in that moment, regardless of what she said.
Spencer knew she was a creature of habit, and that sometimes she needed space to process and experience her emotions. And if he was being honest, he needed some space after the argument, too. But usually she would have at least texted him by now.
He sighed and set down his newspaper, realizing he’d read the same page four times and hadn’t retained any of it. It was Friday, and he knew she was working. But still his fingers itched to dial her number. He picked up the phone, pressing a key to light up the screen yet again.
No new messages.
He dropped the phone back to the table with a little more force than was necessary. He decided he’d give her the rest of the weekend. If he didn’t hear from her by Sunday, he’d have to do something.
Y/N dropped her bag on the floor inside the door and turned to lock the deadbolt. She had managed to sneak out of the building without being stopped by Anita, and she thanked the universe for small miracles.
She didn’t want to have to explain herself. She didn’t want anyone to know what an absolute troll she’d been. Considering that Sam and Spencer had practically become attached at the hip since they’d started hanging out more, Anita was bound to ask about him.
She showered and ordered Thai food, snuggling down on the couch to watch a movie with Roald. She settled on Dumplin’— a favorite for the body positivity, the southern drawls, and the Dolly Parton drag.
And then she came to the argument outside of Harpy’s and lost what little emotional stability she had left.
“Never took you for the type that cares much what people think.”
“I can’t, Bo. And that might make me a coward, but—”
“It does. Willowdean Dixon, I think you’re beautiful. To hell with anyone who’s ever made you feel less than that.”
She didn’t realize she was crying until Roald meowed in distress. She choked out a sob and stroked over his ears, closing her eyes in defeat. “I really fucked this up, huh?”
It had only been one week, but it felt like years since Spencer walked out of her apartment. She’d stayed in bed for the entire weekend, crying on and off. She knew she had no one to blame but herself. Owen had knocked over the first domino, but she’d done nothing to stop the rest from falling.
Spencer had done everything right. He’d done everything she asked, and she’d thrown it all back in his face. He had made the comparison to Mitchell Park, and he was absolutely right. She’d done the exact same thing, only she had almost a year’s worth of ammunition, and she cut a hell of a lot deeper.
Roald nuzzled against her, but she nudged him away— she didn’t even deserve the comfort. Instead, she fumbled in the couch cushions for her phone, swiping open the screen and tapping her favorites list, thumb hovering over Spencer’s name. Then she tapped on the name right above it and blew out a breath.
The line connected and rang three times before she picked up. “Hey, sugar! Your ears must be ringin’, ‘cause I was just thinkin’ about callin’ you.”
“Hey, mama,” Y/N breathed.
Her mother’s tone changed from chipper to concerned in an instant. “What’s wrong, baby?”
She leaned forward to the coffee table to grab Spencer’s scarf— somehow left behind in her apartment— rubbing it between her fingers. “I— I really messed up.”
“Oh, Lord. You need bail money?”
Despite herself, Y/N laughed wetly. “Oh my god , mama. No, I don’t need bail money.”
“Well, if you made bail it can’t be that bad,” Rose insisted.
“I didn’t— I’m not in jail, for Christ’s sake.” Y/N ran a hand over her face. “I messed things up with Spencer.”
“Well, we can fix that,” Rose responded matter of factly. “What happened?”
“We were fighting, and I said some really, really awful things,” Y/N admitted, tears spilling over her lash line.
Rose scoffed. “Honey, I say awful things to your father all the time, and we’ve been married almost 40 years.”
Y/N heaved a long sigh. “Not like this, mama.”
Her mother hummed in consideration. “Well, what were y’all fightin’ about?”
“It’s complicated,” Y/N hedged, toying with the fringe of the scarf.
Rose clicked her tongue. “Do ya want my help or not?”
Y/N dropped her head back against the couch. “I ran into Owen on New Year’s Eve—”
“Well, I hope you told him to stick it where the sun don’t shine,” Rose practically growled.
Y/N closed her eyes as the tears tracked hot down her cheeks. “I didn’t. I— I let him get under my skin, and then I didn’t want to tell Spencer about it because it’s embarrassing, but he knew something was wrong, and he wouldn’t stop asking about it.” She had to pause and suck in a hiccuping breath, releasing it on a sob. “So I yelled at him and said all kinds of terrible things, and then he left, and now I think maybe we broke up, and I’ve literally never been so sad in my whole life.”
There was a long pause on the other end of the phone, and then she heard Rose sniffling. “Really shoulda had your brothers knock the mess out of that son of bitch when we had the chance. He's been gone five years, and he’s still hurtin’ you every chance he gets.”
Y/N swiped uselessly at the tear tracks on her cheeks, sniffling pathetically. “And now I hurt the person who’s spent the last year singlehandedly undoing all of his awful handiwork.”
“Oh, sweetheart,” Rose cooed. Y/N could hear the creak of the floorboards as her mother walked through her childhood home. “You said he knew somethin’ was wrong, right? I can almost guarantee that he’s still just wonderin’ what’s goin’ on. I know he’s supposed to be a genius, but he’s still a man. And men are dumb, sugar. You gotta spell it out for ‘em. Have you talked to him since?”
“No.” Fresh tears spilled over Y/N’s lashes as the thoughts that had kept her from calling him spilled out of her mouth. “What if it was too far? What if I ruined everything? What if he never wants to speak to me again?”
Ross heaved out a long breath. “That’s a lot of what ifs, Y/N.”
“What if I’m right?” she whispered.
“And what if you’re not?” Rose countered. “That boy loves you. Anyone could see that, clear as day. He’d do just about anything for you.” Rose paused, and Y/N heard the springs of the bed squeak as she sat. “But you gotta let him, sweetheart. Right now you’re takin’ away his chance to do that. You’re makin’ the decision for him.”
Y/N listened as her mother’s advice crackled over the line, and for the first time in a week, she felt a tiny sliver of hope.
“If he doesn’t want to be with you anymore, you need to let him tell you that. Don’t settle for a what if. Find out for sure, or you're gonna spend the rest of your life worryin’ and wonderin’, sugar.”
That evening found Spencer in his usual spot on the couch, reclined against the arm with a book in hand. He’d promised himself he’d give Y/N the weekend to herself— that he’d let her come to him. That didn’t stop him from checking his phone obsessively; it never buzzed with any new calls or messages, but he still looked every seven minutes.
The sound of the buzzer jolted his body to attention. He checked his watch and drew his brows together before closing his book and scrambling to cross to the intercom, a tiny seed of hope beginning to germinate. He pressed the button to talk, calling, “Yes?” into the speaker box and then listening for the response.
“Hi.”
Her voice was so quiet that he could barely hear it over the crackle of the speaker. He buzzed her in without hesitation, crossing to the door and opening it immediately. She made her way slowly up the stairs, turning at the top of the landing and pausing.
His heart broke at the sight of her. She looked utterly exhausted, dressed in black sweatpants and a soft purple sweater, a black puffer jacket over top. She was holding his scarf, wringing it in between her hands. Her eyes were ringed red, and the bags under them were worse than his.
He watched as she crossed the landing, coming to stand quietly in front of him. He’d known something was wrong, but the way she looked now made him wonder just how long she’d been battling whatever private demons she wouldn’t let him in on.
“I, um.” She cleared her throat, and it was clear she’d been crying from the thickness of her voice. “I have a lot to say— again. But since I was such an asshole, I wanted to give you the opportunity to say anything you need to say first.”
He’d imagined this conversation countless times over the last week, and never once had he thought it would start like this. “Um. Well. You— you really hurt me.”
She could barely look at him. “I know.”
He swallowed. “Please don’t do that again.”
She shook her head, finally meeting his eyes. “I won’t. I won’t ever again.”
Spencer tucked his hands into the pockets of his lounge pants. “I know I may not be the best at social cues, but I’m a pretty good profiler. And I can tell when something’s wrong.” He raised his eyebrows. “You don’t have to tell me everything. I’m just asking you to tell me when I do something that makes you upset.”
“You— you didn’t do anything wrong. I—” He watched her squeeze her eyes shut. “God, I’m so sorry, Spencer. I’m just— I’m sorry for so many things. For lying about being fine, for being up on my high horse about communicating and then not actually doing it, for being an absolute bitch.”
He wanted to argue— she wasn’t a bitch— but he could tell she was far from done.
“I— I thought therapy was supposed to teach me how to talk about things, but this still feels… impossible to say out loud,” she admitted, fingers fumbling with the fabric of the scarf. “It’s embarrassing and ridiculous. But I— I have deep-seated insecurities. That I’m not really that smart or interesting or particularly special.”
He thought back to that night in Mitchell Park and felt the guilt all over again. He’d practically said those exact words to her— it was no wonder she was feeling this way.
“And every person that I’ve ever been with has— really reinforced those ideas, so for a long time they were just… a set part of my self-image,” she explained, dragging a hand over her messy hair. “I thought— I thought that I was over it, but I— I don’t know. Maybe you never really are.”
His brain sorted through every moment of their year together, pinging off the countless examples of her self-doubt and insecurity. She was easily the most wonderful person he knew, but he could clearly see the cracks in the facade if he looked close enough. How had he missed it for so long?
“And then I met you, and you…” Y/N let out a wry laugh. “You’re easily the most interesting person I’ve ever met, but you made me feel like… I don’t know, like I’m interesting, too. Like I’m worthy of being with you, like I’m— like I’m good enough.”
He felt his heart splintering into a thousand tiny shards— good enough?
“But I can’t— I still have a hard time believing it sometimes. And I— I’ve been letting myself keep you at arms length. Letting you see parts of me, but… never giving you everything,” she admitted.
He watched her struggle to get the words out, her voice thick with the act of holding back sobs. He hadn’t realized she was carrying all of this. She was so good at supporting him and loving him through all of his trauma and issues, he hadn’t stopped to consider just how much she needed him, too.
She continued, “It’s why I took so long to say I love you… why I couldn’t talk to you last week. Because I just—” She shrugged as the tears rolled down her cheeks. “I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. For you to realize that I’m really nothing special. That you’re getting bored, or there’s someone who’s a better fit for you, or one million other things. That I’m needy, and annoying, and too much work.”
A fresh tear tracked down her cheek, and he felt his own eyes filling. She never failed to put a stop to his own insecurities— reminding him that she liked his rambling, that he wasn’t irritating, that he was just the right amount. In his eyes, she was perfect. He would have never guessed she felt this way about herself.
She continued, “That’s what happened before, and none of those guys were even half as wonderful as you are.” She swiped a hand haphazardly over her cheeks, looking at him sheepishly. “And then I was hurtful and awful, and I realized that I was just creating a self fulfilling prophecy and I don’t— I don’t want to do that.”
Her hand shook a little as she brought it back down to twist in his scarf. “Because it’s never— I’ve never felt like this. I've never been this happy with anyone else, and I don’t want to give that up. I don’t want to give you up. Even if sometimes I feel like I’ll never be enough.”
Her voice cracked on a stifled cry, and his chest physically ached. “And if you never want to see me again, I completely understand, and I’ll leave you alone, but I— I’m just so sorry. And I love you so much, and I’m trying so hard to be better.” She sucked in a ragged breath and let it out on an exhausted sigh. “And that’s, um— that’s it. If you want me to go, I—”
“I don’t want you to go,” he interrupted.
Her eyes went wide. “You don’t?”
“Of course not.” Spencer stepped forward and reached for her. “Of course not. C’mere.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, she was tumbling into his arms with a choked off sob. He pulled her inside and closed the door behind them, walking her to the couch and sitting them both down. She clung to him like she was afraid he’d disappear into thin air.
“Y/N, I’m right here,” he assured her. “I’m right here, baby. I’m not going anywhere.”
“But if you n-need space, I understand,” she sobbed.
“I appreciate the offer, but I don’t need space. I think a week was long enough, don’t you?” he asked, pressing a kiss into her hair.
She pulled back out of the hug, head down. “But I really hurt you.”
He held her hand. “Yeah. And I really hurt you, too.”
She huffed out a breath. “That’s not how this works. I don’t get to hurt you just because you hurt me.”
“I know that.” He almost laughed at how indignant she sounded. “I’m not saying that we should hurt each other. I’m saying that sometimes it happens. And when it does, we apologize, and we forgive, and we move forward. And it’s okay if you need space. But I don’t.”
“What if you change your mind?” she whispered.
“Then I promise I’ll tell you.” Spencer tilted her chin up so he could meet her eyes. “I promise I’ll tell you what I need, as long as you tell me, too. We’ve gotta use all those communication skills we learn in therapy.”
Y/N nodded, and he pulled her into another hug. He closed his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief. “If I hadn’t heard from you by Sunday, I was planning to bother you until you talked to me.”
He could feel the beginning of a smile turning up the corner of her mouth where it was pressed to his shoulder. “You never bother me,” she mumbled. She held him for a moment longer and then released him from the hug and sat back, fidgeting with her hands and letting out a breath.
“Sometimes I need to be told that my worst fears about myself aren’t true,” she admitted. “I know that’s so annoying, but—”
“It’s not annoying,” he interrupted, putting an immediate stop to that line of thought. “Telling you how amazing you are isn’t the chore that you think it is. I’m sorry that anyone ever convinced you that it was.”
He covered her hands with his own, rubbing his thumbs softly along her skin. He couldn’t stop thinking about her dealing with all of this by herself. He hated that she’d ever felt anything less than adored. More than anything, he hated that he hadn’t been able to help her through it. And he wanted to make sure that he never made that mistake again.
“A wise man told me once... that love is helping someone navigate their storms,” he murmured, squeezing her hand. She looked at him then, and he continued, “You’ve been my lighthouse for a long time, Y/N. And I— I’m trying desperately to be yours… But you have to let me.”
Her eyes filled with fresh tears, but she nodded. He let out a long breath and pulled her hands into his lap. “I understand that sometimes you need space, and that’s fine. I’m happy to give you whatever you need.”
He shook his head. “Just— please don’t try to weather the storm by yourself. You can’t do it all alone; no one can.” He smiled ruefully. “I can tell you from experience that’s pretty much a guaranteed way to capsize your boat.”
His voice cracked a little at the end, and he felt a tear slip over his lash line. “I’ll help you repair your boat, or build a new one, or you can just float on mine for a while. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty sturdy, I think.”
She brought her fingers up to brush at his damp cheeks, and he met her eyes. “What I’m not going to do is let you float out on the ocean by yourself. I love you too much.”
She was quiet for a long moment, sniffling a little and just watching him— almost like she couldn’t believe he was there. She brought her hand back to his and laced their fingers together, rubbing her thumb along his skin. “I love you the most.”
“Agree to disagree.” He gave her a small smile and leaned forward to press his lips to her forehead. “Want some tea?”
She was frowning when he pulled back, her brows drawn together. “I need to tell you about Owen.”
The conversation he’d had with Anita was suddenly on replay in Spencer’s head.
… a real piece of shit… telling her lies about herself… isolating her… destroying her from the inside out...
He squeezed her hand. “You don’t have to tell me if you’re not ready. You don’t have to tell me at all if you don’t want to.”
She shook her head. “Talking about him takes away his power. I have to stop letting him have so much sway over my emotions.” She looked at him then. “I do things I regret and hurt people I love.”
He brought their joined hands up his lips. “Well, I’m here either way. And I’m still going to make you some tea.”
He stood and pulled her up with him, bringing her into the kitchen and refusing to let go of her hand. He filled the kettle and turned it on, found a bag of her favorite tea and ripped it open with his teeth. He dropped the bag into her favorite mug, and then made a mug up for himself.
“You know, it’d be a lot easier if you’d let go,” she said, the hint of a smile in her voice.
“Mhm,” he agreed, but he made no move to release her hand. In fact, once he’d fumbled a spoonful of honey into each of the cups, he dropped the spoon into her mug and turned to pull her into another hug. He hooked his chin over her shoulder and closed his eyes as she brought her arms around his waist. “I missed you,” he whispered.
She squeezed him tight. “I missed you, too. I’m so sorry.”
She buried her face in his neck, and he felt her breathe him in. He pressed a kiss into her shoulder and then settled his chin again. “Apology accepted, in case it wasn’t clear.”
They stood like that until the kettle began to whistle, and then Spencer kept her tucked underneath his arm as he turned to shut it off and pour the water into the mugs. They each grabbed a mug, making their way back to the couch and setting them on the coffee table to steep. Spencer kept their fingers intertwined and stayed quiet, letting her set the pace of the conversation.
Y/N took a deep breath and let it out on a long sigh. “I guess I should start at the beginning. I, um— I had my first boyfriend in high-school: Cal Cunningham. He was older and cooler, and so I felt— I don’t know… special when he picked me.” She rolled her eyes. “In reality, he was rude, and arrogant, and kind of a misogynist. We didn’t date for very long, but it kind of… set me up on this path of dating guys who weren’t very nice.”
Spencer ran his thumb soothingly along hers, waiting for her to continue. “When I started college, I dated this guy Adam for a few months. He was nice enough but really self-centered and a little immature. When we broke up I just wanted to be on my own for a while.”
“I was single for two years after that, just kind of… finding myself and whatever.” Her eyes tracked the path his thumb traced along her skin. “So when I started dating Owen at the end of junior year, it felt like my first real relationship. Like— we were both adults, and he dressed up for our dates, and he paid for things and bought me flowers and fit all the cliches.”
“And it was great at first,” she admitted. “We had a lot of the same friends, so we’d been hanging out for a while before we got together. He was a perfect gentleman— and smart, accomplished, and ambitious. I fell fast, and I fell hard, and we were sort of— it feels so stupid to say this, but it felt like we were an it couple.”
“A few of us made plans to move to DC after graduation— my friend Jess and her boyfriend Chris, Sam and Anita,” she explained. “And Owen and I, obviously. We moved in together in an apartment downtown. And that’s when everything changed.”
She drew her brows together. “It was little things at first. Like he’d jokingly call me stupid for forgetting something, or he’d complain about one of my friends being annoying. But it snowballed pretty quickly. He’d tell me I was stupid, and he wasn’t joking. All of my friends irritated him to the point where we couldn’t hang out anymore— even our former mutual friends. He thought that teaching kindergarten was a mindless, pointless job.”
Spencer tried to keep his heart rate steady, his facial expressions neutral, but his blood pressure was on the rise. No one deserved to be spoken to like that, least of all Y/N.
She continued, “We spent the holidays at my parents’ the second year we were dating, and he spent the entire car ride home explaining, in detail, how ridiculous and low-class he thought everything was.”
She shook her head and rubbed her free hand over her face. “I know it’s insane that I stayed with him for five years, but I— he did a really good job of convincing me that I was... that I was nothing. That he was doing me a favor by loving me. That he could have anyone, but he chose me. No one else was going to, so I should be grateful.”
He balled his free hand into a fist to avoid squeezing her to death. When Anita had said Owen was a piece of shit… he hadn’t realized just how deeply she meant it.
She picked at the fabric of her sweatpants, staring intently at the tiny pills. “When someone says all of that to you on a daily basis, and you’re not hearing otherwise from anyone else— because no one knew what was going on— when someone tells you you’re nothing… you start to believe it.”
Spencer relaxed his fist to bring his fingers up to her face, gently cupping her cheek. She leaned into his touch and closed her eyes for a long moment. He didn’t know what to say. Instead, he pressed his lips to her forehead in a voiceless assurance that she was, in fact, everything. He felt her relax under the warm pressure of his lips, and he hoped that was enough for now.
He sat back to let her continue. “We were together for five years, and we only broke up because he cheated on me. It was a long term affair; they were sleeping together for almost a year before I found out. And… a lot of people knew. Almost all of his friends knew. But I didn’t. I was still being this ridiculous, desperate little Suzy Homemaker trying to make him happy, even though he was still treating me like shit.”
She laughed, but there wasn’t an ounce of humor in it. “When I found out, I wasn’t even hurt. I was… embarrassed, I guess. But I was so relieved. I was so fucking relieved that I had a way out.”
He watched as her shoulders settled, almost like an actual weight had been lifted off of them. “I got a therapist and dropped all of the friends that were still hanging around with him. I moved to a new neighborhood, started hanging out with Anita and Sam, and just— started fresh. And I was doing really well. I’ve had my moments of insecurity here and there, but for the most part, I’ve been able to recognize the moments when I’m falling back into old thought patterns.”
She looked at him then, and her eyes were so soft and lovely that his heart ached. “You’re a big reason for that. You’re so open with how you feel about me, and… it makes things a lot easier.” She dropped her gaze with a sigh. “But I— he was at the party on New Year's. And I didn’t know he was going to be there until I was already there , and then it felt stupid to leave. I thought I could handle it—”
“And then I didn’t answer your call.”
“No, no .” She shook her head and reached her free hand out to grasp his arm. “That’s— Spencer, none of this is your fault.” She furrowed her brow, and the crease between them was practically an abyss. “He sort of— cornered me on the patio. I hadn’t seen him in like, four years? And he was complimenting me, and asking about you, and then he tried to— well, he did kiss me actually. I shoved him off, and he didn’t like that, and he did his whole Owen thing. Told me that he’d cheated because I was uninteresting and worthless. That eventually you’d get bored of me, too. Just, um— generally awful shit.”
She took a deep breath, and the rest steamrolled off her tongue and over his heart. “And then he just— left . And he’d absolutely demolished my self-image in less than ten minutes, and I was embarrassed and angry at myself, and then you didn’t answer, but I was kind of glad you didn’t because I didn’t actually want to talk about it. And I thought I could just move on, but then I was being weird, and you knew something was wrong. And I just wanted to pretend like it never happened, but then you kept pressing me on it, and I just— I didn’t want to have to explain it all to you because I was afraid that— that maybe he was right.”
Y/N dissolved back into the couch, an unwelcome indication of the emotional exhaustion that came with reliving trauma. Spencer moved closer and mirrored the position of her body against the cushions, bringing his face close enough to bump their noses together. They breathed the same air for one noiseless minute before she finally met his eyes.
“I need you to understand that not one single thing he said to you— on New Year’s or ever— was right, in either sense of the word. None of it was factual, and none of it was acceptable.”
She gave him a weary nod, and he continued, “You are the single best person that I know. You’re kind, brilliant, and driven. You’re interesting, and wonderful, and lovely. You’re my absolute favorite person on the planet, and I will never get bored of you.”
He let his eyes trace over all the angles and curves of her face, and then raised his eyebrows. “He’s lucky that I respect you enough not to go over your head, because what I’d like to do is run a full background check and find any and every possible transgression that could be legally investigated and then use that information to ruin his life.” He tilted his head in thought. “That or— get really jacked and then beat the shit out of him.”
“God, please don’t. As much as I’d love to watch that unfold,” she cupped his face in her hand, “you’re better than that. And he’s not worth either of our energies… I already wasted enough time dwelling on it and hurt you in the process.” She dropped her hand back to her lap with a sigh. “I spent so much time in that relationship that my brain didn’t know what to do with this good, healthy one.”
He took both of her hands in his, squeezing them tight and then pressing a kiss to the back of each. He wouldn’t commit assault, since she’d asked him not to. But he wasn’t going to let Owen taint any part of his life with her.
“I’m so sorry that someone you loved made you think it was hard to love you. Because loving you is the easiest thing I’ve ever done.” He pressed his lips together and mused, “But I think maybe love has a learning curve. Especially when you’re used to being hurt. You have to unlearn all the bullshit. People will have you thinking that you have to water yourself down, or change who you are, or make yourself more palatable. I thought that, too.”
He brushed her hair back away from her face and waited for her to meet his eyes. “And then I met you. And you love all of it— all of me. All the rambling, all the quirks, and— even the dark parts, too.”
She sniffled a little, but really smiled for the first time that night. “What’s not to love about you?”
He smiled back. “I’m not sure if you realize that I fully reciprocate that feeling. What’s not to love about you? I have a hard time thinking of even one thing about you that I don’t absolutely adore.”
“Even when I act like a horrid bitch?” she mumbled, only half joking.
He leaned his head against the couch cushion. “A year ago, you stood on my doorstep and gave me forgiveness— after I’d been a complete asshole to you... I told you then that I wanted to learn how to love with you. I still do. In all the wonderful, and the weird, and the terrible. Even when we get it wrong.”
He shrugged, and then ran a soft fingertip down the bridge of her nose. “There is no one else I’d rather get it wrong with. Because when we get it right… it’s the closest I’ve ever felt to magic.”
Her eyes sparkled with unshed tears, and she brought both hands up to his face, holding him with an adoration that made his own eyes burn. “You can believe that you love me the most,” she whispered, “but just know that you’re wrong.”
He leaned forward to close the distance between them, pressing a kiss to her lips with a reverence that felt technicolor and devout and more magical than any trick he’d ever mastered.
“Agree to disagree.”

6 and 7 for piltover’s finest? or bumbleby, you can choose!!
been brainrotting because of the arcane s2 announcement voicelines, so this is loosely based off of that.
Vi’s eyelids fluttered, her body stuck between almost falling unconscious again and being in too much pain to actually fall asleep. Everything hurt, but she supposed it was better for her to be laying in a fancy Piltover bed in her state rather than curled up on the cold, dirty ground of some Undercity alleyway.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the door of the room swiftly opening, and her heart soared when the familiar figure of Caitlyn hurried into the room, her ponytail present but barely holding her hair together and dark circles lining her eyes. She was worse for wear, but nonetheless her very presence felt like a healing balm for Vi’s wounds.
“I came as soon as I heard.” She said once the door was shut. She gave a knowing look to her father, who had taken up residence at Vi’s bedside, and he simply nodded and quietly made his way out of the room. Caitlyn instead sat at the edge of the bed, mere inches away from Vi.
“Cupcake-“ She started.
“What we’re you thinking, Vi?” Caitlyn cut in, and Vi sank in on herself. Her partner looked disappointed and angry and… heartbroken. “Why did you go after Jinx all on your own without any backup?”
“I know it was stupid, Cait, I know. But she’s my sister, and she’s still out there, and after what happened last time I couldn’t put you in harms way again. She wants me and… I can’t let her hurt you. I can’t.”
“You’re not allowed to make that decision for me, Vi.” Caitlyn said sternly, then her expression softened ever so slightly. “I know you’re worried after what happened last time but I’m still here, aren’t I? Leaving me alone doesn’t guarantee my safety. What if Jinx had found me again when you left?”
It was a deep cut and Caitlyn knew it, but it did the trick. Vi flashed back to mere months ago, tied up in a chair, her heart pounding out of her chest as Powder told her that she visited Caitlyn and fearing that she’d see the woman she’d come to care for so deeply’s head on a platter. The momentary relief that instantly turned to dread when Powder wheeled a bound and gagged Caitlyn into the room, her eyes wide and terrified. She couldn’t let that happen again, she wouldn’t.
But Caitlyn had a point, didn’t she? She had left Caitlyn, all alone and vulnerable to any attacks from Powder, just like she did after the council meeting.
Vi was vaguely aware of the tears forming in her eyes, and she closed them tight, willing them away. But Caitlyn was too observant and instead reached out to brush her hand along Vi’s cheek, not unlike how she’d done the first time they had laid in this bed together.
“I know you want to protect me, Vi. But we’re always going to be stronger together than we will be apart. And frankly, you don’t get to make decisions for me, that’s not fair. Especially not when you end up being the one to get beat up for it.”
Vi curled into Caitlyn, her head pressing against Caitlyn’s chest. Caitlyn scooted closer to Vi so she could better hold her, at least as well as she could in her current condition. When Caitlyn’s hands found Vi’s back and head, Vi finally let the waterworks out.
She cried for her lost sister, who’d lost so much and caused others so much loss in the process. For Caitlyn, who was too damn good for this world and for her but never asked for anything more than for Vi to stay by her side. For both of them, the two people she loved the most, who she was always forced to choose no matter the circumstances.
“I’m sorry.” She repeated through sobs, feeling like a child again. But Caitlyn only pressed her lips to Vi’s forehead, telling her, “Everything is going to be alright.” every time she apologized.
