Honestly, contrary to popular opinion, I don't mind rare pairs. And when I say I don't mind, I mean I can really get to enjoy them. For example, I can't tell you how many pairs with Yamaguchi I've read in the past years. Like, I can't count. Yamayachi? So cute and so wholesome. Yamayama? Kageyama having a crush on Tadashi is just such a cute idea, and there are several dope fics about them. Kuroyama (don't ask, I was myself surprised but there are a couple of good fics about them)? It can be so freaking funny. Osayama? Osamu literally told Yamaguchi he would make onigiri for him one day, and not only he did, but there was a panel of I think Yamaguchi helping him in the kitchen? THAT IS SO CUTE.

The same goes for Tsukki, to an extent. I don't usually engage in fanfiction or fanart that has any Tsukki pairs besides tskym, mostly because my head (which is hard af) can't see it most of the time. BUT, I can see it - in some way. Like, Tsukikage? It would be so funny that after all this time bickering and picking on each other (tho most of that was Tsukishima so) they'd like each other. Tsukihina? That is so funny and cute at the same time. Overall, most of my opinions on Tsukki rarepairs are "Can't see it but this is so funny actually, like I would read things about them." And the art is so cute!

However...nothing kills me more than when I read a fic where tskym is entirely platonic...but only for one part. Like?!?!?!?!

its,,,, its,,, the acceptance of it all,,, i just think about how *alone* kageyama must have felt after his grandfather passed, we see and know that hes not good at connecting with people. hes bad at communicating and hes sensitive and he's scared of getting complacent. like, the all youth camp arc and atsumu calling him a goody-two-shoes is kageyama struggling with how he is changing, how hes trying to incorporate the influences he's gotten from his betters, and he cherishes it, but he's also felt like the advice he'd been given didn't also mesh with certain parts of himself. or, thats how i read into it, anyway. he tries so *hard* to be what ppl need him to be, and he's *so scared* of being rejected again. and this is hinata (and the rest of karasuno) telling him "HEY! we like you! we think you're smart and you dont have to shoulder connection all on your own! let us help you connect with us in a way where you feel comfy too :)" and then they talk about how they want communication! and it works!! and i just *rips into a pillow with my teeth*

HINATA'S PERFECT RECEIVE!!!!! so the inarizaki match is probably my favorite?? there are so many good moments but *this?* you wanna see me go insane? do you want smth thatll make me tear up? every time!! its just!!! a beautiful culmination of all of hinatas hard work that he's put into during the year! its his change of mindset! its his growth!! he's fallen a level deeper in love with volleyball and ive fallen a level deeper in love with his character

halo around the moon <3 Tsukki's block, his hard work, his character arc and development and everything is just *chefs kiss*. i remember the first time i watched the show, i,, *hated* tsukishima, and i think we definitely arent supposed to like him at first, but GOD does that turn around!! and this moment just feels so *earned* and *epic* and in the end HE STILL ISNT SATISFIED!!!!! he STILL wanted more!!! this point was worth 100 god fucking damn!!

im talking about the inarizaki match again!! but this time with a focus on Tanaka, who kind of struggled with this match! he was in a low place during it, felt stagnated and lame. Tanaka, as a character, i would say is best characterized by his mental fortitude and stability, funny enough. He's wild, but i think part of his visual design lends that as his base (since he's often compared to buddhas/monks). But in this match, we get more depth, we see him falter and struggle! it takes more than just a slap to his cheeks to get better (tho tsukishima does point out that he gets out of his depression pretty fast) but like, tanaka uses meaningful cognition to break his rut, and its also just like, advice that I've seen used for stuff like any kind of creative block as well. The visual during the animation, he's climbing up the stairs, he's slowing down, he's coming face to face with a canyon, a plateau. He sees two options, give in, or push forward and he picks "the cooler" one, and struggles forward, forces himself ahead! and kageyama backs him up too, by not letting him back down, assuring him that his usefulness hasnt reached its end and AUGH I LOVE A TEAM YALL

hey guys. tumblr user thawthebeez back at it again with yet another haikyuu essay B) the topic of today is one that i see NOBODY talking about which is crazy because this motif is (in my opinion) one of the main foundations of the kagehina community.

now may someone please explain to me why the HELL nobody ever talks about how whenever Tobio expresses an insecurity of ANY KIND, Hinata is ALWAYS the first one to swoop in and tell him not to worry about it?

yes, we've all established that Hinata Shouyou is the #1 Kageyama Tobio understander. we get that. BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE MAIN DISPLAYS OF THAT AND I'VE SEEN LITERALLY NOBODY SPEAK OF IT EVER.

i'm pretty sure there's an instance of it in season 2 (either that or my brain just made it up) when Tobio is a little worried about his and Hinata's quick attack not really working out but Hinata tells him "nah you'll figure it out eventually" or something along those lines. i'm not going to lose my shit over it because i can't find it but if you know YOU KNOW.

a part that i COULD find from season 2, however, was this:

here we have Tobio explaining how talented of a setter Oikawa is- how he's so much better than him- and it's clear that this is something he's insecure about given his facial expression.

THEN we have Hinata's INSTANT response:

and it blows Tobio away because WHAT

because, to paraphrase a little, Tobio basically just said "yeah oikawa can make any spiker look good no matter what team he's on" to which Hinata replied "yeah but that team wouldn't be Karasuno" which is essentially "Karasuno is strong enough as it is" BUT- if ur crazy- " dw he wouldn't take your spot babe" (<- which probably isn't how it's meant to be interpreted because they just finished talking about The Team That's Stronger As Six thing so like... context clues. it's probably not the insane interpretation).

ANYWAYS boom there it is. Tobio expresses insecurity, Shouyou swoops in and goes "Ermmmm Actuallyyyyy🤓" WHICH IS SO FUCKING ENDEARING ON IT'S OWN BUT THE FACT THAT IT HAPPENS MORE THAN ONCE AND AT SUCH A CRITICAL POINT TOO

the critical point in question being:

(context: Tobio just came back from his training camp in Tokyo and is a little frustrated because he's gotten so used to playing with other prodigies like himself so to go back to talented-but-not-prodigious players is a bit of a switch for him. don't get him wrong tho he loves this team to DEATH it's just a little different that's all. hashtag number one Tobio apologist right here)

SO THERE'S THIS! and it goes without saying that Tobio is DEEPLY insecure about his late middle-school days and being referred to as a king. Tsukishima adds a little salt to the wound and while I didn't take a screenshot of it Tobio makes this look of absolute HORROR after he says what he says

(which, side note, shows a lot of a character development within Tobio. especially since I've been flipping between season 2 and 4 a lot looking for these clips. Tobio didn't even notice when he was acting kingly before but he realizes it INSTANTLY now which is so so so good for him yayyyy character development!)

this also leads fantastically into my next tangent which is

TOBIO FUCKING APOLOGIZES!

now, admittedly this isn't entirely related to my thesis but i absolutely ADORE talking about this scene and i genuinely think it is one of the most prevalent displays of character development within Tobio because i feel like he tends to get overshadowed by all the other characters (especially Hinata, which i'm not upset about in the slightest like it makes perfect sense and if Tobio got all the attention all the time the show would be soooo unbalanced)

but I feel like a lot of people skip over Tobio's overall development over the course of the show. I mean compare s1 Tobio to s4 Tobio THAT IS NOT SAME PERSON ANYMORE. he grows so much over such a short period of time (which is another essay I could write. something along the lines of "Explaining Why Tobio And Shouyou Need To Be On Separate Teams Actually Because Character Development Purposes" because the amount of people i've seen on tiktok complaining about kghn being on separate teams and how they should just be on the same team forever makes my blood boil violently) and it's so refreshing to see Tobio's growth especially as a big Tobio enjoyer.

ANYWAYS back to the main thesis.

So Hinata steps in IMMEDIATELY here. literally cuts Tobio's apology off because HE HAS NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR. he was expressing his thoughts whatever that's fine he could have done it in a nicer way SURE but listen the guy still has a LOOOONNNGGGG way to go but still, nothing to apologize for. it's just growing pains, y'know?

now the quote "What's wrong with him being the King again?" appearing here isn't the first time we're seeing this. Hinata has ALWAYS been confused as to why calling Tobio a "King" is a bad thing. literally from day fucking one Hinata was like "nah dude I think that title is cool" WHICH, AGAIN, TOBIO BEING INSECURE ABOUT SOMETHING AND SHOUYOU REASSURING HIM THAT IT'S TOTALLY CHILL HELLO?????

LITERALLY FROM DAY ONE SHOUYOU HAS BEEN DOING THIS. THAT MAN MAY THINK TOBIO'S AN ASSHOLE SOMETIMES (and he kinda is) BUT NEVER WILL HINATA INHERENTLY HATE A PART OF HIM. and i don't think they realize it here nor do i think the realization comes soon after but at some point there will be the realization that they love each other. every single part. fucking Tobio probably realized it way back in junior high but that's a tangent for another time.

now this line.... this one right here...... oh my god i can be SO NORMAL ABOUT IT.

the main reason why Tobio had this look of HORROR on his face after he yelled at everyone was BECAUSE HE KNEW THE ENDING. he knew that yelling at them would have consequences (if it weren't for Hinata stepping in thank god). HE'S SEEN IT ALL BEFORE. in his final year of junior high he yelled at his teammates to run faster and jump higher and be better AND THEY LEFT HIM!!!

so Tobio yelling like this instantly makes him afraid that he's just ruined the entire balance of the team. he thinks he's going to be left behind again because he yelled and everyone is going to leave him BUT!!!!!

BUT SHOUYOU IMMEDIATELY JUMPS IN AND SAYS "idc what u say honestly if i don't like i'm just not gonna listen" OR, TO TRANSLATE "i'm not going anywhere regardless of what you say"

Tobio's biggest fear is losing this team. I literally do not need to explain why. that man would fucking DIE for this team (if you really need an explanation just to go the end of the Kamomedai match when Tobio admits that he's upset they lost because he wanted to play with that specific team more).

and for Hinata to essentially say "you could literally be as kingly as u want and i simply would not care, pal, i promise you i am NOT going ANYWHERE!!!" which has got to be SO FUCKING RELIEVING FOR TOBIO.

(also something something "nobody was there" / "i'm here" something something "doesn't matter what kind of toss goes up if you send it my way i'm hitting it" something something they're soulmates or whatever they are literally bound together by the universe they were destined to be together and it's a crime that universe kept them apart for so long and now that they're together they will always BE together two peas in a pod literally inseparable they are hot glued and duct taped together.)

and then there's this. i mean at this point you already know what i'm going to say like you get it by now but again IT MUST BE SO RELIEVING TO TOBIO to know that shouyou thinks his biggest insecurity is cool. that shouyou thinks that it's not something to be concerned about. that no matter what, no matter how much a King he is, they're not going anywhere.

and just the fact that it's always ALWAYS shouyou to do this. the fact that there was dead silence before shouyou spoke up. the fact that it's ALWAYS HIM there to understand Tobio (someone who has been misunderstood for as long as he can remember) GOD THEY DRIVE ME INSANE.

and good night! this is like 12 days overdue lmao... do forgive me. since u asked for three I’m gonna have to go under the cut:

first, hanakou! I’m gonna say it does make sense, doesn’t compel me. I think like. I can see the bones of it—kou clearly cares for hanako, and his belief in him is to the point that he’ll stand up to his own brother about it. and this isn’t just bc he likes nene! it’s bc he cares about hanako in his own right. I think I really enjoy kou’s perception of hanako… there’s this line in the red house where he’s like. it would be easier if hanako was just an evil spirit and that’s always stuck with me. it’s also cool how hanako, for some point in time, is the only person other than kou who even knows about mitsuba. they’ve both got their own repression issues huh? where they just do things without explanation. the reason it just doesn’t compel me is like. I don’t have any real incentive to see it romantically? like. hanako’s relationship with kou is interesting to me in part because of how kou’s relationship with nene and mitsuba affects his relationship with hanako. his love for the both of them and wanting to “save” them aligns with how hanako wants to save nene, only hanako’s operating with a much higher degree of cynicism (and, some would say, realism). so i think it’s interesting to have this friendship between the two in the middle of that, and I don’t really feel an impetus to make it romantic.

aoinene on the other hand… it does makes sens and does compel me! aoinene’s so fascinating to me because like. they clearly adore each other and they’re like. girl best friends yknow. only nene doesn’t tell aoi about the whole ghost thing for the longest time and aoi doesn’t tell her about her issues with her hand. nene kind of idolizes aoi as this perfect popular pretty girl and I think, in some ways, aoi treats nene the same way? but her perception is of this naïve good-spirited kid she can’t quite be honest too. so like. that’s compelling, that they both love each other, but their understanding of the other lacks. and from the first chapters we see that nene’s like, dazzled by teru’s shine and such… she’s obviously kind of taken by this façade and also this very thin and minimal crush that’s not really love, right. so I feel like I could see aoinene be really interesting because aoi absolutely has her own version of this façade. we get into lots of fun stuff about honesty and what’s real and such. so this could definitely compel me romantically even though I haven’t thought about it much.

and tsukkiyama!!! does make sense and does compel me are you kidding me. what more do you need than pride!!! gonna lay down forever about it. tsukishima and yamaguchi are a really fun longtime-friends dynamic because they like. change? their relationship evolves but it doesn’t make them not important to each other, even if the shape of themselves and their interactions change. which is why that bond feels so strong. they both think each other is kind of the coolest actually. I’ve never really had the need to read much fic abt them tho? maybe I’ll look again sometime but its just like. man. their relationship in canon is so good to me already… ch 86-89 my beloved. the manga does a really good job of like… their relationship always feels real and solid but they’re also 100% individual people. and it’s such good development too. neither of them becomes a crazy genius but they develop as people. I love how hands-off tsukishima’s growth over canon is… like he’s a genuine good kid that just thinks a lot, and I don’t think he’d respond so well to people steamrolling over him with their own assumptions yknow? anyways tsukkiyama’s good. works in a sorta understated way where it being not too emphasized makes it work more, yknow. I loved reading haikyuu!! and thinking like why does a guy like tsukki hang around someone like yamaguchi? and then understand. oh. they’re both so earnest.

oooh okay so anon when i saw this, my brain immediately split into 2 directions: beach and indoor/team volleyball.

beach would be incredible for Ava - at the beach! in the sun! one half of such an important partnership; being equal. the tricky part is figuring out her partner lol - like, she could partner anyone yknow?

as in, i feel she'd have an incredible dynamic with anyone she's with. like, with Mary - maybe a veteran Olympian - would have her back and trust her and ground her while also pushing her in different ways; with Lilith, i feel like they'd make a dangerously sharp and fiercely aggressive team (when they're not sniping at each other lol); with Camila they'd have this rapid pace and creativity, maybe also as a new pair/new generation bringing in a breath of fresh air into both their country's team and the sport in general; Beatrice of course would be such steady support for Ava's theatrics, though not to say that they wouldn't be risk-takers - for some reason i have them as the most unpredictable for opponents because of how much they trust each other.

team/indoor volleyball is something i've actually thought about before, but in terms of a Haikyu au.

while i've seen some episodes/clips of the anime and stage plays and think both are fantastic, the manga is my true love. it's hands down my favorite sports manga and one of my top 5 manga of all time. i learned so, so much about storytelling and structure from this series; i think Furudate is all sorts of brilliant.

in terms of if i was to make a Haikyu au for WN, Ava would absolutely have to be Hinata because his love of volleyball and that voracious desire to learn. to me, his major character arcs come from working with a team and becoming a professional volleyball player. the former is perfect for the team aspect of WN, the latter would be wonderful to explore Ava's more serious side. as in, when something you love becomes something you dedicate your life to, where you find the most joy, where you become the best version of yourself.

ugh oh man the timeskip would be a beautiful analog to canon too, as in Ava coming back from the other side - stronger, more confident, and still in love with volleyball. a true "monster" lol as the ones who turned pro were called. plus there was that bit in the ending about the Olympics so this is in line with your prompt anon, i swear this isn't just me rambling mindlessly about Haikyu (tho it kinda is lol)

casting everyone else is hella tricky. though, i could get behind Camila as Nishinoya. she'd be a tad "lighter" in personality than Nishinoya but Cam does have that serious side to her and of course size-wise, she'd fit the libero position. Tsukishima immediately had me thinking of Lilith with all the shit he gives Hinata at the start and the f-ing brilliance of the Shiratorizawa match - oh man i still get shivers at that arc. also damn, that scene when he and Kiyoko have to go to the infirmary would be beautiful for Lilith too, having to trust her team to hold on. (i think i'mma have to reread ohno)

Mary feels very Daichi because captain/dad lol, i wonder if Sugawara could work as an analog for Shannon - his story is slightly different, since Sugawara gives the setter position to Kageyama (i.e. not Hinata/Ava) but still, that act of stepping back i feel would be close.

i have no idea who i'd cast for Tanaka - i'm not sure who'd be the sort of "everyman" analog from WN. the managers too are hard to cast - mostly because there's not a lot of folks to choose from lol - but also, who can possibly be as cool as Kiyoko?! ... well, Beatrice could lol, but that would mean i'd need to cast Ava as Tanaka because of course lol

speaking of Beatrice, i hesitate to cast her as Kageyama because though she'd be a brilliant setter, Beatrice's relationship with Ava is different from the antagonistic/rival aspect of Hinata and Kageyama's relationship, yknow? to that point, hm, Lilith would actually be fun in that position instead, especially with Kageyama's past and their similar ties to past folks/legacy of sorts.

which, then, Beatrice could be cast as Tsukishima, brilliant and strategic - doesn't think much of Hinata/Ava at first, develops a strong relationship with the back line hm, goddammit why is Beatrice the character who can do everything™

though now that i'm noodling more, if we go back to Beatrice as Kageyama, yes it'd be a different dynamic but also huh it could be interesting to set (lol) up a backstory for Beatrice that run similar to Kageyama where they both developed a rift with their past teams because they were driving them too hard and has to learn how to meet folks where they are. (then later learn to challenge once that trust and individual and team skill have built up). hm in that way, Beatrice's arc could be really interesting - and she and Ava could still have a rivalry and push each other to be better, just not as antagonistic as Kageyama and Hinata...

sorry anon this is just me rambling. last thing i'll say about this and Haikyu is that this kind of au would be interesting on a group/team level because their team, Karasuno, doesn't have that elite standing like the OCS, they're the underdogs which, idk, i feel like could provide some interesting conversations with canon

yamaguchi tadashi "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!! .....you have a beautiful... uhh.... shoulder!" he knocks quietly, shyly - but you don't hear. yamaguchi worries, opening the door before he looks up from the knob. you both stare at each other for a moment. he screams, a little high pitched for his timbre, before slamming the door shut - accidentally catching his fingers in the door. he would never tell, but this feels like a sort of karmic punishment for being unable to stop imagining your body.. like that.. with his.

tsukishima kei slowly closes his eyes, a long sigh following. this little shit thinks it's his inconvenience that he opened the door despite your protests (he was listening to the land before time soundtrack, of course) and saw you completely naked, only your hands attempting to cover your body. without even muttering an apology, he slowly takes you in (a sort of darkness taking over his eyes, maybe even a sassy eye-roll), then he turns around and closes the door behind him. what he doesn't want you to know is that right outside your door, he slowly and dramatically slides down to the floor, his lanky legs tucked close to his chest, his hands over his face. he sighs once more, unable to hide his reddening cheeks. in truth, he does blame you - it's your fault he's having these thoughts overtaking his mind. what you do to him... he hopes you'll never know (but at the same time desperately wishes you could see through his false confidence act).

kuroo tetsuro "i-i-uh... uh... ah.... wow." a little smirk played on his lips as he prepared to scare you (it was gonna be hilarious), after all, your reactions were always so cute, so entertaining... he flung the door open, expecting you to scream.. you did, but not for the reason he expected. for once, he was speechless - his eyes widened, for a moment he could only open and close his mouth like a fish. a slight blush begins to take over the apples of his cheeks, but he isn't moving. it's as if he's frozen in place so it takes you shouting, "get out!" for him to suddenly realize he's been staring for way too long. kuroo puts a hand behind his neck in embarrassment before bowing his head in apology and closing the door just a little bit too loud. once out of your room, his brows furrow as he takes in his reaction to you. he holds the bridge of his nose between two fingers as he tries to rid himself of the thoughts consuming him - what it might be like for him to hold you like that, to love you like that. but as it stands now, he still hasn't asked you out... and he's not sure how long it'll take, at this point, to even be able to look at you in the eye again - especially without getting a tent in his pants.

oikawa tohru "oh my~ can i stay~?" leave it to oikawa to open the door during the most inopportune time. in classic unity with his man-whore-ness, he'll promptly lean against the door as you struggle to put your shirt back on (thankfully you'd still had your pants on, slightly). a little shit-eating grin would play on his mouth as his eyes dance across your figure. after he quips and you decline with a harsh, "absolutely not, tohru," he'd leave. the funniest part is that oikawa only ever gets embarrassed after he makes the decision to say something stupid. it's only after he's halfway down the hallway does he realize what he just said, what he just insinuated. he crouches down to the floor, head hanging low, whispering a soft, "fuck." he's so screwed. this whole "getting over you because you'd never feel the same" thing just got a hell of a lot harder.

iwaizumi hajime "hey, what food do you want from-- HOLY SHIT--" this poor man... he's been crushing on you for as long as he could remember. you, him, and oikawa grew up near each other -- practically neighbors. so even though you grew up together in diapers, it had been a long time since he'd seen you naked (not in a creepy way, just, ya know, babies.) so imagine his surprise when he opens the door (not waiting for an answer when he says, "i'm coming in!") and sees you in that state (he can't bring himself to say any of the words, much less think them.) his face goes beet red -- he slams the door so hard a picture frame comes off the wall. when you text him an apology, he'll definitely reply with something like, "idiot, it was my fault." you can't turn down his offer for dinner even though you know it's gonna be reaaaallly awkward.

futakuchi kenji "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" this salty bitch is definitely the type to react angrily -- like, he's so embarrassed and ashamed of himself that he projects anger when all he's trying to say is "how could you do this to me when i'm LITERALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!!!" he's not mad at you, he's mad at himself (genuinely he is the WORST at showing his emotions properly) when he turns the knob of your door, he was expecting you to be lounging on your bed (you'd always told him there was no need to knock, if the door was locked then he obviously can't come in). you should've known what would happen -- ever forgetful, you forgot to lock your door. when he took in your bare breasts, he couldn't help as his anger grew along with his erection.

ushijima wakatoshi "....stand still." he didn't mean it like that, you know he didn't but as he's walking closer as you're only in your bra and panties, you begin to feel both panic and excitement. imagine your surprise when he pulls a string that was stuck on your face before walking out of the room. literally i'm laughing so hard rn by now, you're fairly certain he doesn't HAVE emotions, but in actuality, he just really sucks at realizing them. he's not used to seeing people in their underwear, for sure, but he's so unreactive that it scares you a little. little do you know that ushijima is flooding the tendo-semi group chat with questions regarding "what to do when you see a beautiful woman's body?" (his phone did not stop buzzing for an hour).

sakusa kiyoomi "....." when sakusa opens your bedroom door to find you halfway through taking off your bra, his eyes go wide before falling into a slight squint, his eyes furrowing. you didn't even notice he was there, nor do you notice when he swivels to leave, accidentally leaving the door wide open (prompting a LOVELY conversation you both will greatly look forward to.... not really). just a forewarning, he's going to be really tense for probably the next week.

kita shinsuke "ah, you're changing? alright. no, it's okay, i'll ask you in a little bit." LOL but i refuse to believe that he would ever make this mistake unless like life was against him that day so i guess i'll write one ahaha "s-sorry." this man. he is a GentlemenTM. kita would probably have to be forcefully pushed into your room for this to happen. yes, it was atsumu. ("it'd be so funny" -a.m. "shut up, 'sumu" -o.m.) anyway, at the time he was pushed into your room, you were just finishing drying your hair from the shower. conveniently, the moment the door shuts behind kita, you step out of the bathroom, your towel scarcely covering you. his shocked and embarrassed expression will live in your head forever - it was so cute. he wouldn't bother trying to explain himself, maturity showing through as he thought it would be best to give you the privacy you needed and leave as soon as possible. he'd apologize and leave, then give atsumu an unexplained look of disappointment. he wouldn't tell a soul what he saw - it didn't seem right to embarrass you like that, no matter the number of times he wanted to ask for advice on how to handle the recurrent dreams he'd wake up to in the middle of the night, along with a boner.

miya atsumu "wanna see a funny--UOH MY GOD!" atsumu basically lived in your house, but growing up with only a twin brother by his side, he still hadn't gotten used to the whole "knocking" thing.. this predicament ended up kicking him in the balls when he swung open your door, accidentally seeing you without a single article of clothing in your body. like an actual idiot, he just stood there, in the doorway for a half-second before covering his eyes and screaming "I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING!" (he accidentally hit his head against the door trying to leave). after the incident, he tries to play it cool, acting like it wasn't the first time he's seen a girl naked (even though he definitely hasn't). it really isn't working though -- if you can see through his false guise, it's easy to take him down. probably not a good idea, though, since this guise is the only thing stopping him from starring at your lips a little bit too long -- imagining taking you right then and there.

suna rintaro "hm? ...oh." suna walked in on you without even realizing it. occasionally he'd just step in your room and you'd chill together on your bed, scrolling through your phones. he was scrolling through his photos when he walked into your room. it wasn't until you said, "hey, uh, can you sort of... leave?" that he looked up, gazing at you hazily before quietly exiting. he'd definitely jack off to you later, though. Tsukishima Kei

To say that you were excited would be understatment. You basically danced your way into apartment building, feeling giddy to see your boyfriend. Your made many good purchases and couldn't wait to show them to him.

You put the products down and checked the time, he would return in about one hour. You could order some takeout for you two and you two could spend some lovely time together! It's been so long since you two normally spent time together.

You started preparing your little plan, you called in your favorite restaurant ordering some exquisite fast food, you tidied up the house and bought out fluffiest blankets and pillows to prepare for the night.

You then went in your shared bedroom to dolled yourself up. You even put your new lipstick on. And as you checked yourself in the mirror you couldn't help but feel proud. You were sure Tsukki would fall head over heels for you all over again. Of course, you would have to fish out all the compliments as always, but it would be worth it!

Not long after you heard the sound of the door and some heavy footsteps. You corrected your lipstick in the mirror and looked at your form for the last time to be sure everything looked perfect.

You put on a confident smile and went out in the living room only to find your boyfriend draped over the couch, his eyebrows furrowed and frown adoring his face.

"Kei?" You called out to him, he only grunted, his voise was strained and he looked beyond tired. You sat next to him and started to play with his face, Kei grunted again but he leaned into your touch, his eyes still closed. "Rough day?"

"Yeah." He opened his eyes to look at you, you gave him a sweet smile and said hey. His gaze immediately softened and he opened his arms for you to crawl closer.

You smile widened as you crawled into his lap, his hands immediately found their place on your hips and brought you closer.

"Feel like talking about it?" You pried again, your hands still playing with his soft curls, Tsukishima shook his head again.

"No, not really." He gave you a reassuring squeeze and lifted the left corner of his lips, so you decided to let it go. If you pried more he would only get more stubborn, and you were sure he would tell you if it was something serious.

"I ordered us some takeout and I was thinking we could watch some movies together, what do you think?"

He hummed in approval, "sounds good. What's the occasion tho?" His eyes scanning you carefully, you grinned.

"Just felt like it" Kei looked you up and down again and then leaned in to hug you tightly, his face nuzzling your neck making you giggle.

"Did you get a new lipstick? It looks good." You beamed at him for noticing, but then again he was really attentive.

"I did! It's such a pretty color right?" It was time to fish for compliments now!

"You know color doesn't mean anything if the one wearing is not pretty right?" You rolled your eyes at him.

"You and your backward compliments! Just say you think I'm pretty!" The corner of Tsukishima's lips lifted slightly at that.

"You're beautiful!" He replied without even missing a beat. You were not going to lie, his comment took you off guard for a second, but, nonetheless, it made you feel really giddy inside. You wrapped your hands tightly around him.

"You know the girls at the store said that this lipstick is transfer proof, want to test it with me?" You dramatically wiggled your eyebrows at him, which made him huff out a laugh. You smiled in victory he didn't seem as solemn as before.

Something in Tsukishima's gaze became more possessive and lustful, resulting in you feeling heated as well. "Come here." He leaned in and captured your lips with his. You gladly reciprocated the passionate and needy kiss and leaned in even more if it was possible.

Yup the night was going to be really memorable!

Akaashi Keiji

You were roaming the shop aimlessly when you stumbled across a transferproof lipstick and it also happened to be in the exact shade you were searching for. So, of course, you immediately bought it and put it on the second you got out of the store. Now you just felt like showing it off to your boyfriend. Who by now should have been done with his work.

And now that you were done with shopping you started heading towards his work and even picked up your favourite drinks on the way. You were sure he would be excited to see you.

He had been stressed a lot lately and worked a lot so you wanted to do something for him, something small that would show him that you were there for him.

You quickened your pace, and soon enough, you saw the building, and in front of it your boyfriend. You almost started to leap at him and tackle him to smother him in kisses but you stopped yourself when you saw another figure.

Now you weren't really a jealous type, but something about this girl, hogging your boyfriend's attention really threw you off. Everything seemed friendly at first glance, but prolonged eye contact, lustful batting of eyelashes from the girl's side and slightly lingering touches she left on your boyfriends body talked an entirely different story. Yup, she totally had the hots for him.

You didn't doubt Akaashi's loyality for even a second and you would leave the situation to him to solve, but noticing how uncomfortable he looked you decided to intervene. As gorgeus as he was he was not used to this much attention, and it especially made him anxious if he had to turn someone down.

"Hey baby!" You cheered as you made your way towards them. Akaashi's face immediately lightened up. He smiled and put his hand on the small of your waist as you leaned in and passionately kissed him. Akaashi tensed for a second but he quickly relaxed into the kiss.

"What brings you here darling?" He softly asked his eyes not leaving yours, the presense of the girl long forgotten.

“I was out shopping and I just couldn't just miss the chance and not see you! I missed you so much!” You exclaimed dramatically and flung yourself at him. Akaashi only chuckled softly and pulled you closer to him. You sneaked a glance towards the girl and tried your best to look intimidating when your eyes met. She quickly muttered an apology and went her way. Victory was on your side! You grinned in triumph and turned your attention back on your boyfriend who was softly smirking at you. Yup, you awakened Akaashi's teasing side. He looked and was sweet most of the time but damn if he couldn't be snarky, sassy and sometimes even mean. He wasn't all sunshine and rainbows and you loved him for that but now, you didn't really feel like to be teased.

"What?" You asked innocently, Akaashi only chuckled and kissed your temple.

"You look cute when you're jealous love." You gasped dramatically at the audacity.

you huffed feeling annoyed "I was not jealous, I was simply helping you out of the situation, you should be glad I'm such a sweet person, someone would have made a huge scene in my place!" You pouted and glanced at Akaashi who looked amused as ever which made you puff up more.

"Oh I'm sure that was the motive, but please, did you think I wouldn't notice that you were even more possessive than usual. That was cute actually."

“I wasn't possessive!”

“Why did you kiss me that way then? Normally you get all shy on me, not that I mind tho.” This smooth bastard had you in a corner, not that you were going to back down tho.

“Don't flatter yourself too much sweetheart, I was just testing out my new lipstick. And as it turns out it is transfer proof.” You smirked at him feeling proud of the quick comeback.

Akaashi smiled shaking his head slightly, and took all your bags from you, something he did out of habit, without even thinking about it.

“As you say love, let's go home now.” He held in his hand for you to take and, of course, you immediately went in and grabbed it.

You two started heading home with you rambling about your day and adventures you had and him listening and adding comments there and there. Both of you feeling content.
