today marks eight years since the death of vi. one of zaun's most promising, a young fighter with a heart of gold. determined, strong, and loyal.

but most importantly, vi, your girlfriend's big sister. her protector, one she looked to for guidance and love. comfort in trying times, such as these.

your hand is rubbing gentle circles along the skin of powder's lower back, trying to offer silent reassurance. it hurts you to see your love like this. her shoulders slumped, eyes weary, her gaze fixed solely on a photo of her sister. one where she seems so vibrant, so full of life. she didn't have a clue what the world had in store for her, the fact that her life would end so prematurely. it wasn't uncommon, people dying young in zaun. but powder never thought it would be vi.

"i still don't think it's fair."

she mutters, tone more somber than angry. you nod slowly, your hand continuing its patterns across powder's back.

"it isn't. she was taken too early."

you respond. powder doesn't speak for another beat afterward, tugging her knees to her chest and resting her chin on them as she continues to look over vi's altar. the doll of her sister, various lit candles, incense wafting through the air. a few small belongings of vi's that powder had managed to recover- some jewelry, little trinkets, the like.

"do you think she'd be surprised to see where i am now?"

you hum, wrapping your arm around her shoulder loosely and pressing your girlfriend into you. you take a deep breath in before nodding in response.

"i think so, yeah. her little sister, all grown up... a genius of sorts, too. always creating, always thinking."

she lets out a little 'mm,' continuing to gaze over the memorial.

"it wasn't always jobs and fighting, she was sweet. we used to pillow fight in our room when we couldn't sleep, and vi would always let me win." powder muses, a light chuckle escaping her. "she helped me learn to read and write, even though i got confused on sounding out letters and couldn't figure out how to hold a pencil at first."

you laugh at that, looking back over at powder.

"yeah? well, she was a good sister. that much is obvious to anybody who knew her."

powder hums in agreement, but she seems to slowly tense back up. she begins to pick at her cuticles and bite the inside of her cheek as she lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding. your girlfriend's blue eyes turn back to you.

"do you think she'd be... proud?"

you nod again, without missing a beat. powder didn't even have to ask that question, honestly. it was obvious to anybody who knew her that her late sister would be thrilled with how far she had come in life, with how zaun had changed for the better and powder was an active participant in that change. she had gone from an unsure, anxious girl to a confident, innovative woman. with the help of friends, family, the very people who supported vi.

"she is, pow."

"how can you be so sure?"

she sighs, but lays her head against your shoulder. choppy blue locks splayed across, with a slender arm wrapping around your waist.

"just look at you," you pause, returning your gaze back to your girlfriend. almost as if to emphasize your point. "you're a smart, kind, creative, genius of a woman."

powder scoffs lightly, shaking her head. you can tell she's about to make some remark in protest.

"i mean it, babe. you're a far cry from the powder she knew, but that's a good thing. she'd be proud that you made something for yourself, that you're happy. that you're living in a better zaun than she knew."

powder lets out a heavy sigh, her eyes finally meeting yours. seeing her like this always chips at your heart a little. she missed her big sister every day of every year, but this day never gets easier. it likely never will, no matter how many more years pass. vi's death left a hole in the city of zaun, in the heart of vander, in you, but nobody had suffered the loss more than the girl before you.

"i wish she would've got to see it." she hums, looking back to the altar. the incense sticks are nearly burnt out, the smoke getting thinner. "zaun, i mean. it's changed so much since she last saw it. people can build a life here, we aren't so neglected or war-torn or... whatever. hell, even vander and silco made up."

she scoffs in light amusement, betraying her current emotions. it's hard, knowing exactly what to say. you love powder, you want her to be happy. you've always hated seeing her so torn by grief. but grief is weird in those ways, never fully going away. hitting full-force while powder is in the middle of a crowded room, or powder feeling completely alright for a few weeks before her sister's death hits her all over again.

yet you've always been there to remind her of everything- and the fact that you don't ever get over it per se, but build a life around the grief instead. something you believe powder has done a fine job of.

"i know you wish she could've seen it. but wherever she is, i think she knows somehow."

powder sighs, her shoulders slumping in mild disbelief.

"yeah?"

"yeah. i mean, we don't know for sure about life after death, or spirits or any of that stuff. but i think that somehow, vi knows her sister is doing well, and that zaun is a better place than she knew it as."

the incense is finished burning.

"i'll get those."

you say before your girlfriend can get up. she lightly huffs, but doesn't try to stop you. you stride over to the altar, grabbing a few loose incense sticks.

"i know today is hard for you, love... it always is. but i'll be here the entire time, okay?" you pause to strike a match, bringing it to the tip of a few incense sticks. "you can do whatever you need to. talk to me. sit in silence. whatever you need."

you slowly sit down back beside powder, wrapping an arm around her shoulder from the side and squeezing in light reassurance. she lets out a shaky breath before settling her head back onto your shoulder.

"the whole time?"

"the whole time, love. i promise."

she sighs, turning her head to brush her lips against the soft skin of your shoulder. today is hell in more ways than one, but you make the torment a little bit more bearable.

"i like that... yeah."

kind of a small thing when you find out that feitan actually has curly hair naturally and... it's kind of cute :3 this is based off the fact that when curly hair while its straight is exposed to steam and water it curls up ;)

you were currently in the kitchen making dinner while feitan was in the shower, before you met him he didn't shower very often, he always had either a metallic smell of blood or straight up rotting human flesh and it smelled horrible, so, you had to talk him into taking showers at least once a week, you were practically begging this man.

and to your surprise, he actually listened.

it had been only about half a year since you both decided to officially start dating, at first you were a bit nervous that he might torture and eventually kill you like everyone else, but that time hasn't come yet, he's actually a tad bit more open with you than he is anyone else, he's more open to your touch, he'll tease you, purposefully hide things you always use just to see you look for them, you learned that he is quite playful.

dinner was almost done and you heard the water shut off in the bathroom meaning feitan was done with the shower.

you decided to fix his dinner first and yours last so that he can come out with his food already out and ready for him, he had been in the shower for about 40 or so minutes while his food was out and ready for less than 10.

you go in the hallway to check on him and you see him walk out with a tower wrapped around his waist, showing off his fit body, for such a small guy it looked as if he lived at the gym.

but that wasn't what surprised you.

what surprised you was the fact that his hair wasn't straight anymore, he had tight, wet curls!

feitan looked at you, confused by your shocked face.

"what?" he asked you.

walking over to him to feel his wet hair, it was soft... and oddly smelled of your conditioner.

"first of all, i didn't know you had curly hair! and second, did you use my conditioner?"

feitan shrugs at the questions. "maybe i did use your conditioner." he says, walking to the shared room, smiling and closing the door behind you.

"well, hurry it up in there because your dinner is ready!"

MIRAN! IS! AN! ABSOLUTE! SOFTIE! Those who write with her will surely know it. She has her bite, but else? Absolutely soft. The softest of all. Sometimes I even feel bad for how soft and sweet she is (no, I seriously do because it seems so unfitting in many situations, but you know? It's just her, she will not turn into a baddie just because its needed in that situation - even if she wishes she could.).

"Smile smile smileee"

She was taught as child already to always smile and will mostly do so. Even if its not always a 'true smile', she has to. I mean, she's the general manager of a hotel after all. So she works with guests (and even in Genshin she's surrounded by guests).

"Doing chores to unwind"

Her only chores is her work and she works to unwind. A lot. Honestly, her s/o better knows how to shove her away from work or else they will only get to face her seldomly. But I feel like even if she'd have to do house chores (and learns how to do them) she'd do them a lot and find some kind of enjoyment in those.

Happens sometimes if she's too deep into thoughts or such. Or busy.

"Super cuddly"

If she loves somebody (platonical, familial or romantic) then YES. YES! SHE WILL HUG, SHE WILL CUDDLE, SHE WILL GIVE THE AFFECTION SHE SEES FITTING. Unless she's, as always, too busy. But well, not like she can do anything against that.

NOW, I do like to think that she's very approachable. Like plz, you have a 90% of being adopted by her if you're not mean.

Often unsaid by her, but whenever she's having somebody she loves the other one can rarely not make her heart pound like crazy. Just being close to the person causes that to happen - because she just feels easily happy with them around! That's what means that she has truly fallen in love with the other person.

"Can I hug you? No reason. Just because."

If she finds the time, she'll absolutely hug her s/o. Like, Miran is absolutely not afraid to touch the person she loves, unless it makes them uncomfortable. But she loves showering her lover with lots of physical affection.

As said above tho, thats not just if she likes somebody platonical. She will also hug those who she loves platonical or like family.

"Will snuggle up to you, then pouts when you move."

She might even complains if the other person moves without warning. Like, come on. Don't ruin it, dude or dudette! She's having a moment of comfort.

Aye, this is honestly something I'd like to have some feedback on if you guys don't mind, it's about how I handle giving out information about my OCs in relation to the story's current state. (I'll probably reblog it too later, so bear with me...)

As many of you have seen I tend to keep some things about my OCs and KW as a whole hidden to avoid spoilers for the actual story. While this is good for safeguarding the story's development, while interacting with other OC creators I noticed it's kind of a shackle. I've heard you guys saying you're curious about their pairings, their habits and all, but the fact that the story is still in its early stages kinda limits my options because I have to answer keeping in mind their current level of character development and limited experiences (for example, I can only talk about the girls' habits as they are now that they are currently still in the Cavalieri mansion, where there are many activities that are prohibited and such).

It makes me fear that I've devolved too much into vagueposting. Like, the Entity's ask was VERY fun to me because I got to be a little cryptid, but it didn't leave you guys with much (I think?). It could be frustrating to keep having info hidden by the author. It's not like I fear that I won't be progressing with KW because the drive has never once dwindled (I might even be able to release the chapter on time if everything goes well this time) but I am afraid of making my blorbs feel a little bit dull until the story reaches a certain point and after (Varia Arc).

So I guess what I'm saying is...what is there for me to do? Should I just go full unhinged and post things regardless of where the story is, with spoiler tags maybe? I'd feel a little bad because it would take away the concept of growth one could experience following the blog, but maybe it's just a complex of mine? I'm a bit lost. Or maybe I'm just making up problems that don't exist.

I honestly pity Aria so much, and I wanted to write all this before I forgot my main points, but like. She's just so fuckin sad bro

Like, they already struggled with AuDHD throughout their teenagehood and childhood, just to get an absolutely perfect outlet (dreamwalking), but misused it (albeit with what she thought were good intentions) and now she's a fucking convict. Like talk about getting dealt a bad hand, she didn't even know about the empowered community so she had no chance of learning how to properly use her powers or anything.

Imagine being her, having struggled for 2 months trying to keep someone out of a coma because you couldn't wake them up, and finally having that burden lifted.. only to have some kind of.. magic cops??? At your door with a warrant for your arrest.

And now you don't know when you get to see your family again? I just. god I wish Aria could be happy. But she's stuck in an endless cycle of trying to get control of her life and once again losing it to the broken system that won't ever actually properly rehabilitate her, instead just chucking her back into prison and reeducating her on covert and proper magic use... as if that even helps???

And then ending up in the United States after having lived in Canada her whole life,, and suddenly having to also fear for her human rights as a queer person. And her citizenship doesn't even matter because DUMP won't let her move back home until they're sure she's safe to be around again, which at this rate she may never be.

And she tries to hold onto the people she cares about the only way she knows how, but knowing deep down that inevitably they'll start fearing her too and will also shun her.

She's digging her own grave.

Wanted to explore some Drifter stuff so here's him having the same but different issues compared to the Operator. Kinda based on how the Drifter can only use a warframe for a certain period of time in Duviri and how that might transfer over.

The drifter breathes. First through his nose then out through his mouth. Leaning against his statue still Warframe like it’s the only thing in the galaxy that can hold him up. He doesn’t get why it’s always like this.

Why is it such a struggle? Why isn’t it natural?

It obviously is for his other half. They take to the transference like a fish to water and the drifter… he struggles. He’ll be exhausted and spent from a single mission unable to do another until the next. Worse, sometimes during missions it feels like his limbs, his Warframe, is fighting every action he takes. Those days leave him drained for weeks.

The Operator has tried to explain it to him. How the connection is supposed to work. But it Just. Doesn't. Work.

He grits his teeth, a knuckle white grip on his Warframe’s arm. Xaku should fit him. So many parts torn apart and sewn together into something new. Shattering every inch of yourself and having to keep going after the aftermath. It should fit.

But it’s not enough. Like he’s missing some important step that he just never had the chance to learn. He doesn’t know what to do.

He’s afraid. Afraid to once again be left behind, to lose everything he’s gained just because he can’t keep up. Can’t make the hard choices because he’s too terrified. Terrified of the consequences, terrified of what he has to force himself to become in order to fit in a galaxy that had abandoned him.

The drifter had never wanted these powers. Knew that when he accepted them in order to save the Operator and the Lotus that it would change him in uncontrollable ways.

He breathes. Slides down to the ground as his legs give out, no longer having the energy to keep him upright. He can taste the blood dripping from his nose.

Which in a way is ironic since most things have lost their taste.

Food has been hit the worst. He still swallows down everything he can get his hands on. Duviri taught him that. Eat when you can, never turn up an opportunity presented to you. Doesn’t matter how weird it is, or how bad it tastes. Eat to survive, eat because starving death is somehow worse than a sword through the gut.

The drifter laughs. Head on the cool metal of Xaku’s leg as the void twists around them and him. Alive in its own way.

All he needs to do is call Ordis. Tell him that the drifter needs to abandon the mission. That he’s failed. That he’s breaking apart at the seams and he just fucking doesn’t get why.

He breathes. In through his mouth and straight back out because there’s blood dripping from his nose and He. Can. Taste. IT.

“I could make it easier.”

He closes his eyes and grits his teeth before he turns his head to look at the mockery of the Operator that sits cross-legged on the locker above him.

“Oh joy, is it finally my turn? And here I was thinking you were a one person kind of guy with how I haven’t seen you until now.”

The man in the wall raises an eyebrow, smile and face just as much a mask what the people of Duviri wore. “You’re saying you don’t remember seeing me after that whole thing with the Lotus, Drifter?” The grin widens. “I think you do remember.”

“Trying to forget honestly, not your best look there.”

The man in the wall sighs, laying back on the locker, hands behind his head. “Such a critic. Really, how can you judge me when you’re just coasting on the Operator’s coattails? I mean really, first you steal their place and now you’re stealing their power? Have you ever done anything that didn’t take from someone else?”

The drifter licks the blood from his lips, tastes the iron and lets it sit on his tongue as he glares at the face of the child he was and the child who still exists. “I forgot how good you are at getting under our skin.”

He smiles and smiles and smiles. A mask never changing. The drifter wants to break it. Crush it into pieces. He might be getting why the Operator doesn’t like mirror’s anymore.

“I’m just saying you could come into your own power. Make this,” he motions to the drifter and Xaku, “all work like it should. Aren’t you tired? Don’t you want to actually feel powerful instead of a useless pile of… this.” He says, disgust clear in his face. “All you’d need to do is make a ‘proper’ deal. ”

“Will you just fuck off already.” The drifter tightens his grip on Xaku, his arm shifting from flesh to the familiar metal of Natah. Her anger seeps into his, and you know what he is fucking tired. Tired of being told that he’s not doing everything right, tired of their mind being played with. They’re done with this.

They pull themself up, adrenaline rushing through their veins even as they stagger to stay standing. Ignoring the way the man in the wall watches them. Dark fathomless eyes taking in every detail with clear interest.

The transference shift welcomes them. Like a blast of cool water as they take the leap. They fit into place in ways they should not. Each part clicking even as it threatens to rattle apart.

“We don’t need you.” They turn as one. Xaku and him and Natah. Three parts of a current whole.

The man in the wall hums. Shifting through space to stand in front of them. “You really never can be the same again. Can never be like them again.” His smile drops and for some reason that’s more terrifying. As Xaku it’s more prominent, the way the void that powers them shudders. “Just remember that your choices are still theirs. Don’t do something the Operator might regret.”

Then he’s gone, like he’d never even existed.

They pretend to take a breath. Xaku has no lungs, no need for oxygen. But the action itself settles something. They’ll get the mission done. They’ll go home.

Then they’re going to pass out on the Operator’s couch.

Personal thoughts on chapter below cut (Contains Spoilers)

To start off, I'd just like to say how much of a masterpiece I think this chapter is! The confusion, the stress, the lore drop is all so magnificent!!

Draxum gestured at his empty cup of tea, where the poison dried in its ceramic belly. “As little as possible? Or the most efficient amount?”

I really enjoyed this little distinction. Leo is well known for being lazy, though when you look at his actions in Rottmnt, he always seems to know what's going on (for example, guessing Big Mama was bad news way before his brothers did) and always seems to understand the random things his brothers are shouting about. A person who is lazy, is a person who simply doesn't do stuff. What Leo is doing, isn't laziness, but strategic actions. He does them so well, even he doesn't realize he's doing it. Its like he's constantly playing chess, sacrificing he little pawns in life to secure the safety of the king.

Draxum breathed out shakily. “I… Never intended for you and Three to-“ Leonardo kicked the table so hard, it brushed past Draxum and crashed into the opposite wall, where it burst into shards of wood and ceramic. Plaster crumbled from the wall. Draxum sat frozen in his chair with his lips pressed shut.

I have no words to explain how much impact this has. Draxum calling Donnie, Three. Leo's wildly violent reaction. Draxum, and how utterly terrified he is, heart racing, pressed into his seat like he could just melt away and hide. This scene right here, is powerful. Then, the paragraphs following that are like a kick to the gut.

“My knee twitched, Sorry,” Leonardo said again. “Go on, what did you do? It can’t be worse than what you did to my big brother. All the nightmares and nervous breakdowns he keeps having, man. Man. Can’t be worse than what you did to the kindest person I know.”

Raph, who under the krangs influence, nearly choked his brother to death. Yet, Leo still refers to him as the kindest person he knows. Because, Raph is gentle, kind, sweet, and nurturing. Leo sees what Draxum has done to Raph, and he's livid. Because if Raph, who is naturally so gentle and caring, be so violent; what's going on with Donnie?

I find this right here, to be an excellent distinction between how Draxum and Leo view Raph. Leo sees Raph as his precious brother, who had his mind warped by Draxum, making him into a killer. He completely blames Draxum. Meanwhile, Draxum doesn't see Raph as that kindhearted person. Raph is a violent weapon, who has kind attributes. Leo and Draxum are literally seeing Raph on opposite spectrums.

Faster than Draxum could react, the edge of Leonardo’s katana kissed his throat. The second one buried deep into the wooden backrest, an inch from his neck. Their icy-hot metal nicked his skin, a twitch away from his carotid artery. The blades stayed dead calm, but Leonard’s voice shook. “Take it back,” he said. “Donnie’s not like them. He’d never hurt Mike. He’d never hurt my Unit.”

I find it interesting that Leo called them his unit. Not his family, or brothers, but rather his unit. This could have been a way to make Draxum understand him better, or to refer to his brothers as a team, though I feel as if it could have almost been a slip-up. Leo is clearly panicking, making excuses for Donnie, getting in Draxum's face and spewing the first words that come to mind, which happens to be unit. Like a military unit.

Leonardo’s expression fell. “I…” He jerked back, and pulled his twin blades with him, retreating. “No,” he croaked. He grasped his hands and traced his scars like he needed to relearn his claws. “I mean, I never was a real leader. I’m not supposed to be, right?! But I fixed it,” Leonardo grinned. “Because I’m just that awesome. The team’s alive and yes, yeah, Humans died because of… of what I did. But Donnie doesn’t-“ Leonardo chuckled, too sharply. “He doesn’t care about stuff like that. If I’m his leader or not; I’m his twin. I need him, I need him so much, it-” Leonardo clenched his teeth into a hard, wide grin.

In the beginning of the chapter, Leo is very adamant that he doesn't need Donnie. Its not a need, nor a want, nut simply love. However, as he dissolves into panic, Leo is very clear about how he need Donnie. As if he were a thing, and Leo doesn't even realize it.

Gosh, this chapter is so hard to articulate into words. So much happened, yet very little. I'm left speechless, no other words left to explain how much I love it.

Sooooooo I kind of wanted to throw this out there as an experiment/tentative prelude, but I’ve been considering for a good long while that I’d like to start posting some BG3 writing on here.

Specifically a dark urge x Astarion story that has been rolling around and banging against the bars of its enclosure inside my head. I think I could also make it a mixture of Astarion x reader/Tav and Astarion x OC!durge too. (And a sprinkling of durgetash too).

Please be aware if you read ahead and haven’t played the origin yet, there will be spoilers. So I’ll leave the rest under the cut!

Essentially I have begun to write about the dark urge origin and my character’s journey. Also about Astarion’s and various ways in which their stories parallel one another. Not that the game itself doesn’t already do an incredible job at this. I just have a lot of headcanons that I think could be fun to explore and flesh out and honestly the brain rot is so bad that if I do not put it somewhere, I will absolutely turn into a mindflayer.

I don’t really have anything linear in mind, closer to a cluster of a bunch of different ideas/moments that I just really want to get out of my brain and word vomit them somewhere. It would be a mixture of post-game adventures, moments during the game’s acts, and also quite a bit of pre-amnesia dark urge and some durgetash for good measure because I am a degenerate.

All that being said – I do absolutely want to be inclusive as much as I can. There will be moments where the story can be written in a more neutral way regarding gender and also not include appearance at all if people would like to imagine themselves/their Tavs/OCs instead. Not everything will be just my OC!durge specific and for those particular moments I will tag them as such (including things like content warnings, etc. so people are aware what they’re fulling getting into).

Don’t get me wrong, I still very much want to write about my durge and flesh our their story and  really get into the nitty gritty of what I felt their journey was like. Also just their own personal character development in juxtaposition with their relationship with Astarion.

It has been a very very very long time since I’ve posted anything online and I know there’s always a risk with doing so, but I’ve just been honestly so genuinely inspired not only by the writing in the game but the incredible content other people have been creating because of this game and I just want to give a shot. To be a small part of it, even if it truly is just only for me (not to sound presumptuous) and no one notices.

At least, I don’t want to make that the main point but I know there’s a lot of you dark urge enjoyers out here and was essentially just wondering if people would be interested in a story like this?

It’d also most likely be 18+ so I was considering either just making a whole other blog or a side-blog to post there since this account is very very old and I wasn’t sure if it’d be safer and more comfortable for people who might want read this.

Again, I really REALLY don’t want to sound pretentious at all. Just thought it might be cool to share and honestly, I’d love to have people to talk about this game with. Especially about the dark urge, I just have so many feelings about it and I enjoy getting to read all the interesting and insightful meta/thoughts/headcanons people have come up.

Idk if anyone follows my posts enough to even notice this but you may have seen me talking about a lot of new things I've watched so far this year, both tv and film. I kind of made a mini resolution to do this because I found, especially at the end of 2023, that I was stuck in a rut of either rewatching old things or mindlessly flipping through YouTube videos I had little to no interest in. There's so much media out there I'm interested in and now I feel almost reinvigorated to go through it and I've been having a blast.

Most of the time I'll probably just reblog a gifset or two with thoughts in the tags but I finally watched the Interview with the Vampire tv show and I have FEELINGS (mostly good)! Spoilers for season one and I do talk about book things that eventually happen so beware in case you don't know and want to continue the show completely blind...

So I kinda put off watching this at first because the Vampire Chronicles books are some of my favourites, and while it did have its own issues, the 1994 film holds a special place in my heart. I was like... do we really need anything else? But I'm glad I gave it a chance because the show was able to go so much further in so many aspects and also now we have a chance to actually see even more of the book events take place!

I'm gonna say up front that almost every character felt very different from how they are in the book except for Lestat. Lestat was actual perfection and I cannot BELIEVE someone did a (dare I say) even better job than Tom Cruise who gave the performance of his life in the film. Sam Reid's Lestat is unhinged and dramatic and terrifying and sad and cringe and yet also loveable and it was a masterpiece of acting. For the majority of the other characters I really didn't mind the differences and in some instances I thought they were actually improved. Daniel Molloy, for example, who is basically Anthony Bourdain? Perfection. Louis who is yes kind of pathetic and dramatic like the book, but also is volatile and complicated which Lestat is drawn to right from the beginning instead of only after having his little breakdown caused by his brother's death? Excellent. Armand who is older and looks nothing like the Armand described in the books but I can see without any problem how Marius fell madly deeply insanely in love with him because he's GORGEOUS and has this unsettling serenity about him? Give. Me. MORE.

The only issue I really had was with Claudia. I see people praising her all over the place so I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion but I hated that they aged her up so much. The most compelling thing about Claudia as a character is that she is an adult woman trapped in the body of a literal CHILD. A pre-pubescent child. Not a teenager. It's absolutely horrifying and it should be horrifying. Now, I will say, I saw an article where they talked about part of the reason behind this choice being that they needed the actor to work longer hours and it was impossible for a kid to do that, plus the very intense material, and I fully FULLY support any protections for child actors because the industry is insane. But it does make me sad and I wish there was some way they could have worked around it. I get what they tried to do with teenage Claudia but it just fell flat for me. And also the actress really looks her age (I think she's 20?) so like the few times where people were making fun of her for "playing dress up" or whatever I'm like... she fully looks like an older teen at LEAST what are you talking about lol. Also I thought her accent was kind of bad.

But honestly, that was really the only problem I had with the whole series. I absolutely loved how they went full-on explicit with the Lestat/Louis romance and the chemistry between the two of them was... WOOF. I was actually really interested in the modern portions too, mostly because Anthony Bour-- I mean Daniel Molloy was so entertaining lol. I loved how he pushed and pushed at Louis and their whole back and forth was brilliant. Although putting on my archivist's hat for a second to be outraged at Daniel consenting to wearing the cotton gloves to handle the diaries but then eating a fucking sandwich right beside the book???? Absolutely not lol. It was so much fun to see the Armand reveal (which I was spoiled for somehow but that's ok) especially knowing that Armand eventually turns Daniel and boy oh boy I hope they go long enough to get to that. I loved the continued references to Lestat's love of music which makes me hope they're planting seeds to make rock star Lestat a little more believable lol (god can you even imagine?? And we don't talk about the Queen of the Damned movie ok).

As for S2, I'm so excited for Paris and the Théâtre des Vampires and HELLO Ben Daniels as Santiago!!! Omg so hype for that. And it's going to be so interesting to see the Armand/Louis relationship as well because I mean it's always going to be Lestat/Louis and Armand/Marius for me so Louis being like "he's the love of my life"... girl. (And speaking of Armand/Marius please GOD give us some flashbacks because they are my Vampire Chronicles OTP and I need to see that whole story including my girl Bianca thank youuuuu).

Yeah so overall I'm quite positive about the whole thing and sincerely hope that they get many more seasons because there's so many interesting stories in those books and we've only ever gotten a TINY portion on screen.

I kinda want to do a post about my feelings on Mobile Suit Gundam Code: Fairy, but I’m just gonna start off with the MS designs, since I’ve got a lot to say on those relative to everything else.

First up: the Earth Federation Forces

I do like the Black and White Riders. Of course, they’re pale rider variants (prototypes in-universe), but I think they do a good job of looking and acting good. They both continue in the theme of the early rider units being patterned after the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse, being pestilence (the white rider with a bow and crown) and famine (the black rider with a set of scales). Though I don’t really have a favourite of the two, (the white rider has a wonderfully Gundam-like face and the crown is gorgeous, while the black rider actually kinda nails the whole “tacticool” look with its faceplate and arms) I will admit that the black rider opens up a whole can of worms because it has an actual stealth system. Not like, just weapons suited for stealth or sloped armour to reduce visibility like the Efreet Nacht, a genuine cloaking field.

For context, those (to the best of my knowledge) just straight-up are not really a thing in Universal Century. Minovsky particles kinda nix most long-range weaponry, hence why mobile suits are a thing. If you want to be stealthy, you typically go the route of removing emissions (as the Efreet nacht does with its lack of heat weapons) or having camouflage to reduce the chances of visual detection. Spotters are a big thing in lots of UC works. So the Black Rider being able to just “*poof* invisible” is a really odd thing in context. I can only assume (in-universe) it wasn’t practical at all, or it only worked early on, and improvements in technology eventually made it infeasible.

Even putting that aside, they’re not perfect. Heat weaponry is…. Basically nonexistent on Federation suits, so it’s inclusion here is a little odd. But the main flaw with the suits is that they’re just not well utilised. They essentially function as expendable grunts for the main villain. They don’t even have named pilots. Furthermore, Rider units are kind of a big deal, being very rare and quite powerful. So this one random force just having them - even if they are former prototypes - is just kinda odd, and it’s never addressed why they have them.

Note: I am aware that the Manga has put a face to the pilot of the white rider. But that and the fact that the manga exists are literally the only facts I know, so I’m not counting it.

The GM Spartan’s then.

Honestly, they’re nice, but they’re not really my thing. I do love a lot of the Fukuchi Mobile Suit Station designs, but I honestly prefer the original artwork (below) to the design they went with here. It’s not bad, but it’s obviously taking just as much influence from the GM Sniper II (if not more) than it is from the original artwork. It’s not equipped with any specialist weaponry in-game however. The unit on the left is the RG version, customised by use of the Game’s villain, Renato Germi (I would spoiler-tag that, but it’s very obvious). I actually like this design, since it could’ve been a very effective use of visual storytelling - Gundam-style parts are higher-quality than regular ones, so could have been used to signify that Renato has friends in high places that can get him fancier equipment. Or it could’ve been used as an effective contrast to the other Gundam pilot in the game. However, unfortunately, neither opportunity was used. It does however, remain a nice design.

The Gundam Pixy/Pixie is, has and always will be, one of my favourite designs in Gundam. Granted, I have a lot of favourites (as I’ll get to later), but the Pixy is just wonderful. Something about a close-quarters focused, lightweight, light cost version of the RX-78-2 with a decent weapons loadout just appeals to me.

The problem with variations on your favourite designs is that you tend to be a lot harsher on them, since they’re trying to improve on perfection. The Gundam Pixy Lilith Aiden Custom is very very good. I wouldn’t say I prefer it to the original, and I do think it’s a smidge overarmed, but the design of the mech itself I think was handled very well. It’s easier to see when comparing them in-game, but the entire chest and head area has been remodelled and a small shield has been added to the arm. It’s really very well-done, giving the impression of adding armour to something that was originally lacking it. The fact that it makes it look slightly closer to the original art is a bonus in my book.

The original Pixy is armed with Vulcans, two beam daggers, then either a bullpup machinegun or two 90mm machine guns that look like Uzis. It’s a very light armament for a suit that specialises in getting in close. The Pixy LA is armed with Vulcans, two beam Sabers, a twin beam spear (shown in the above image), a rocket bazooka and a handheld beam gun. Two of those weapons are quite large and unwieldy, so I don’t really think such a machine can still be called lightweight. This is the first of a trend of taking established, specialised designs and making them more generalised, which I’m personally none too fond of.

I don’t really think it needed to be red, since honestly the pilot has very little in common with char, so it only serves as a “rival” unit.

And with all the unique Earth Federation units out of the way, let’s move on to our protagonists in Zeon in the next post, because I ran out of pictures.

okay here are some actual across the spiderverse thoughts so you have been Spoiler Warned! a lot of ranting im just getting it out of my head i guess.

the theatre was a lot busier than when we went 2 see renfield, and there were way more people in the theatre room itself (i guess the room where u watch the movie is also called the theatre?) so it was a bit nice to have more company i guess lol. i wasnt the only one rustling snacks around etc. and it was kind of nice to hear the murmur of reactions ::-)

okay the movie itself UMMM WAT CAN I SAY!! it was so so so visually gorgeous. everything is just packed with SO much life and character. every character is so unique in its visual style like you just know these people are using animation to its full power for REAL!!!!!!!!!

story wise.. i think it has a lot of the same themes as the first movie but i honestly dont remember it well. it was good !!! i dont have much to say on it i think the visuals are more fun to talk about ehehe

i think it is so crazy that tey were like yeah the guy who shouted BAGEL in the 1st movie is the main villain of this one. hello. its so funny but also to think it is funny is exactly what the villain wouldnt want you to think. SAD!

the villain was so fun to watch his manerisms were just so fun and he had interesting body proportions (idk and IDC if that is a weird comment to make) like everything abt him was just so [chefs kiss] AND. i love his design changing over time and when he is all scribbly and creepyyyyyy........yeahhhh. he was on screen and i was like what the hale they put rorschach in this movie.

i feel so bad for already forgetting this persons name (MIGUEL..???) im so sorry but one of the spider people was also so fun to watch he was very much The Angst Lord. and ppl in the tag are already writing insane smut with him. but anyways his snappy aggressive actions were just sooo fun to watch although a bit scary lol* (*the person writing this has experienced people losing their temper in violent ways too recently for comfort)

I can’t see him dating anyone before the time skip, even if we got proof that he was interested into people (we all see the way he was looking when he was at the beach). But during this time, he was a teenager more over he already a family, people who he cared about. He just didn’t feel the need to add a significant other, he has his family, he had Toman.

Now I’m not saying that he wouldn’t date anyone when he was a teenager but he was so focused on Toman on his family than I can’t believe he got time to date someone, especially since he was busy kicking ass with his friends Baji.

But no matter if you met him during his teenage, after he left the juvenile prison or when he left prison. You’re going to need some patience with him. He has lived a lot of things. He is still a broken man who is this close of loosing his entire mind.

I believe that I first you would be the only one working on this relationship, I mean you would do the whole flirty thing and at first he’ll barley interact with you. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t feel proud for your compliment and that he isn’t happy that you are interested in him. It just that everytime he felt close to someone, they either die or just left him.

I feel like he loves kissing you too ? Like he just can’t stop kissing you ? He is an addict kisser. Like one day you were visiting him at the petshop dropping him a bento because you wanted to spoil your boyfriend. Even though he claimed to Chifuyu that he wasn’t tired 5min before you were here, suddenly he felt like he needs his 10min break. Guess who finds themselves being pushed against the wall as their boyfriends was kissing them deeply ? You. And he just didn’t kiss you once, no no that would be too simple, he will kiss you again and again one hand holding yours against the wall the other would be either on your cheek or on your neck. Good luck to find your breath after that. Believe me when I say that even when you were about to leave him so you could go back to school or whenever you were expected, Kazutora will take your hands in his to bring you against his chest to steal you a couple of kisses before finally leaving you.

Like I said he is an addict.

I can see him as the type to sometimes grab both of your cheeks with his hand and then kiss you, again and again.

He jus loves being close to you, so when you two are out for a date or just because you got the chance to meet him while you were going home. Kazu won’t hesitate and hold your hand stroking it with his fingers.

Holding hand is a minimum for him to best honestly

If he could he’d rather spend all of his time in your arms humming your smell getting warmth against you. But he can’t, so he is going to appreciate every occasion he got to get you close to him.

Since you’re his significant other Kazutora will be extra protector when it came to you, not afraid of threatening anyone that might be a bother to you.

Also he is jealous, he knows he shouldn’t feel like this especially since you’re always giving so much love and attention. But he can’t help but feel insecure, he knows what he is capable of, he knows his past, he knows what he has done, he is not perfect and certainly does not deserve love coming from such a piece of heaven like you. Yeah there would be time when Kazutora might be sad, feel down, and even though he’ll work on it so you won’t see it (afraid that you might be disappointed and will leave him) but you can tell that he is not feeling well.

Please, hold him tightly, tell him you love him, reminds him of much you cared about him, show him that there is no reason for him to be afraid. He just needs reassurance that you are here for good and that one day he wouldn’t wake up without you by side.

I just feel like he loves sleeping next to you, just the thought of sharing the same bed as him and getting the chance of waking up with you next to him is just his definition of heaven.

I also feel like is a tease, not on Mikey’s level, but I feel like sometimes out of nowhere Kazu will tickle you or whispering you something just to get to see your face turning red and then chuckle.

He is also the type to always give you his sweatshirt/coat, you don’t even need to be cold, if he noticed that you had been looking at his cloth or if you just compliment it boom its around your shoulder. He also the type to lay down on your bed and look at you with a loving smile, whether you were sleeping or not he doesn’t stop him from slightly stroking your cheeks bone, your cheek or even your lips loving the feeling of his hand/finger on your skin. It’s so smooth and soft he just can’t help.

Sometimes especially when he is sleepy, he will whisper things into your ear, kiss your all over your face.

Also he is not afraid to tell you he loves you, he might be not the first one to confess but once he knows that you love him. « I love you y/n » would be the first thing you will hear while waking up also the last thing before sleeping.

I think he might like the thought of you styling his hair even if all you’ve done was putting some cute clips on his hair he likes it and will even let you take picture. He is a sucker for your smile

Buy him jewelry and he will never take them off especially ring or necklace he just loves seeing you marking your territory.

As I stated before he is probably the type to overthinking a lot, like one day if you didn’t give the smile you used to give him, he is 100% you’ll dump him at the end of the day. Sometimes it’s not as bad as that, like you called him by his last name to tease him, he’ll just pout at you and then give you kiss all over your and won’t stop until you called him either by his name or by a nickname. But yes sometimes if you’re acting a little bit too cold to him he’ll think that your relationship is over, and will start to panic no knowing what to do to keep you by his side.

That’s the think with Kazutora he loves you more than he loves himself so he knows as a fact that he will be lost without you (not the only one to be honest but that’s for another headcanon)

So obviously you’ll need to be careful but since you’re still a human keep in mind to check him after if you’ve done something that let him think you guys were over.

Also, I can picture him to sometimes disappear. Like no one know where he is, not even you. He never left for too long (worst case : he leaves for a day), but sometimes he feels like he needs to be alone, like really alone. So he isolated himself for everyone, no one will know where he left, what he has done. But when he came back he always got that peaceful smile, the one where is eyes got nothing but regrets in them.

You feel like he spent his time in front of Baji ans Shinichiro’s grave, cause even years after this incident he couldn’t forgive himself for what he’s done to them. He can’t forgive him. Since he is lucky to be alive, sometimes he needs to see them in order to give him some strength in order to stay alive.

All the time when he is zoning out, you know he is thinking about all the bad things he has done to the people he cares the most, and even though he is working hard to be a better person what was done can’t be undone. Again hold his hand, stroke his hair do whatever you can to help him staying safe and not falling into his old demons.

Protect him at all cost.
