I have a question regarding your monster AU

I would like to know how Ace and Deuce look like physically (I mean clothes and more detailed things on their face), honestly I would like to draw them but I could only find a drawing of Ace and a small description of both of them

Your hands pet Deuces tangled locks, a reminder to the lack of care he has for his person. But can you blame him? Is there a point in caring for yourself when you’re no longer living? Then again, there should still be empathy in your soul to humans if you were once one.

“I’m sorry…” Deuce whispers under his breath, his trembling sullied arms hugging you with a great vigor. There should still be empathy for murder. So why… Why is there a man laying face down in front of you? “Are you upset with me?”

You open your mouth, attempting to reply to the zombies question, but halt your ministrations when you spot the blood in between his canines. You close your mouth, mustering one of the falsest smiles you could form.

“I’m… I’m not.” your hand slowly reaches for his neck, pulling him into your body, burying your face into his hair. You don’t see the soft smile accompanied with a pink tint on his face. Though, you really don’t wanna see anything at all.

Especially the dark result of a monster's love.

Dw about it at all!! I was actually attempting to make some sketches about the other Monster roster!! For the most part, any clothes I draw on the characters aren’t exactly canon?? So, you can really go buck wild on their clothing, do whatever you wanna do! And If you’re like me (Can’t draw mens clothes), go the classic way and just, doodle something really basic 💀. Unfortunately, I don’t have a sketch for Ace yet, but when I do i’ll post it! For now, here are some physical details about them!!

Ace:

- Scar on his right eye, but since he can’t exactly heal, it’s still open

-the space above his left eye is detoriated and exposes bone, and something not depicted on the doodle is the open space on his head exposing his skull.

- A chunk of his neck is gone, and so is part of his chest

- Unlike Deuce, whose mark is a tattoo, his is actually a part of his death, making it another open wound.

- He doesn’t have skin on his right calf, but unlike Duece, all his limbs are still entirely intact.

- He takes out his left eye frequently to spy, so it tends to be lazy sometimes when he puts it back in.

- Hole below his neck from ????

- It’s not very obvious on the doodle for Ace, bc i forgot about it, but him and Deuce are both the same shade of cool pale grey since their dead

Deuce

- Missing right eye, and skin, so only his skull is visible.

- Loses his left hand frequently.

- Holes in his cheeks expose his mouth.

- His left arm starts off as bone at his shoulder before getting to the forearm and returning to a regular hand.

- Has an open wound on his left leg

- His bottom left side of his torso has a slash wound that’s open, slightly exposing his muscle.

Hey 🙂 First of all! Thank you so much! 💖 I'm glad you like it ✨ Hmmm.. I mean.. I think can share some snippets 🤔 The question for me is more, if you can actually read out much from a simple speedpaint video... Cause all you will see is me lining stuff and slapping on colour 😅🙈 A lot of things I consider important for my drawing process don't happen on the canvas but in my layer management.. 🤔🤔🤔 As in, how I organise them and which parts I put on separate layers, when I use layer masks, layer clipping, marquee/selection, blend modes, layer effects like borders, post correction of colours, etc etc..

But anyway 🙃 Here's a 60 sec timelapse of my Wotakoi drawing. Idk.. maybe just ask in the comments if you're interesting in anything specific.. 😅🙈 Just fyi, I usually never record my sketching process as it's a complete mess 💀🔥 Also.. this is one of my lazy shading methods where I only have one shadow layer for the entire thing and then put it on colour burn or something 😅 In more detailed artworks I might have separate shading layers for different parts like skin, hair, clothes etc. ^^ But yeah. Anyway uh weird middle of absolutely nowhere in the rural US Midwest Miku. I’ll mini rant about it a little bit under the cut 👍

I literally had to look up my own culture for this cause I couldn’t think of anything 💀💀💀💀💀. Especially not anything that actually applies to me, if that makes sense. Minus the fishing pole, this is the closest to my current experience I could get. Her expression is very reminiscent of the experience of being out here tbh.

Apparently ranch dressing is a thing???? I didn’t know cause I really don’t like ranch. Same with casseroles. Fishing is a local hobby, but I don’t have a fishing license and don’t like being around water. So is fixing old cars, but I’m not strong enough to do any of that. There isn’t a consistent accent or slang here, it’s just a bunch of stuff from everywhere else. Not really distinct clothing. A couple bands are from nearby states, but they’re not associated with them much. Uh some sports teams I guess. I don’t watch sports. Everywhere for miles looks the same cause it’s all corn and closest place to do anything is in a big faraway city and involves spending money you probably don’t have and shouldn’t.

There’s not a whole lot tbh.

A/N: this is my FIRST ever oneshot, I have no idea how to feel about this since I don't have any experience with writing. Let me know what you think and if I should continue (or find a different hobby💀)!

On her way to Velvet's mansion, Y/N mentally rehearsed what she would say. Just before knocking, she fixed her formal clothing and checked her appearance in a small pocket mirror. Okay, she's ready, she knocked, patiently waiting. When Velvet opened the door a minute later, her disheveled appearance spoke volumes with messy hair, dark under-eye circles, and crumpled clothes.

"Good evening," Y/N said, noting Velvet's tired look but tactfully avoiding drawing attention to it.

Velvet softly murmured a greeting and gestured for Y/N to come inside with a subtle nod of her head.

As Y/N stepped inside, she took a moment to glance around Velvet's place. The usual luxurious furniture and accessories were there, but this time, they were kind of hidden beneath clothes and a bit of a mess Velvet seemed to have just made. It was clear she had come home not too long ago, considering the mess still waiting for her servants to tidy up.

"I've got some wonderful news for you, your earnings this month have seen a significant increase compared to last month."

Y/N flashed a small smile, hoping to lighten the mood a bit. But Velvet seemed lost in her own thoughts, heading straight for a sofa and flopping down on it like she was more collapsing than sitting.

"Your recent performances and new endorsement deal contributed to a boost in income. The tour is doing exceptionally well, and the endorsement has been a hit among your fans. You should be proud of yourself."

Y/N said, forcing a wider, somewhat awkward smile and straightening her posture. She was attempting to maintain a professional demeanor, but the genuine concern for Velvet, who had barely spoken, was making it increasingly challenging.

She decided to take a shot and sat down next to Velvet on the sofa. Velvet looked up, noticing the papers Y/N held, but she didn't say anything. In that moment, Y/N recalled Veneer's comment about Velvet having a soft spot for her. At first, she brushed it off as a joke, but now it lingered in her thoughts, making her wonder if there was more to it than just humor.

"How are we doing compared to projections?" Velvet's voice unexpectedly cut through the silence.

Y/N, relieved that Velvet had spoken, responded with a tone infused with pride and happiness: "Surpassing expectations, actually. We've exceeded the projected earnings for this quarter. The new strategies we implemented seem to be paying off."

Velvet continued to look at her, like she was waiting for her to spill more. Getting this job was a real hustle for Y/N, and the fact that Velvet picked her over everyone else still felt a bit unreal. Though she couldn't deny her intense feelings for Velvet, she knew better than letting them mess with her professional game. Deep down, she cherished the fondness, but she had to keep it under wraps, not wanting it to interfere with the job she worked so hard for.

There was this unexpected sudden warmth in Velvet's gaze that caught her off guard, making her briefly look away and awkwardly clear her throat.

"As for expenses and taxes, we've been managing expenses efficiently, and there are no unexpected spikes. On the tax front, we've optimized strategies to minimize liabilities, so you're in good shape there-"

Y/N was all set to keep rambling, but Velvet cut in, shaking her head and letting out a little sigh.

"Alright, that's plenty for now. It's getting too late for me to fully absorb all of this. Do me a favor, be a gem, and put all this in an email. Send it over in the morning, okay? And simplify it." Velvet concluded with a tired yawn.

Y/N couldn't help but be entranced by Velvet, even with her beautiful long green hair tousled. Messy or not, Velvet always seemed to radiate beauty in Y/N's eyes. She silently pondered if there was ever a moment when Velvet wasn't the most beautiful person in the room.

Yet, amidst this admiration, Y/N couldn't shake the concern for Velvet's well-being. "Of course," she replied, a brief pause preceding her next words. "I know it's not really my place, but are you getting enough sleep? Lack of rest can mess with your performance," she said, her gaze wandering around the mansion, picking up on subtle details that hinted at potential issues affecting Velvet's mental health. "And it's not just about work, it can take a toll on you as a person too."

Velvet let out a chuckle. A slight bitterness behind her words. "You don't need to earn extra points for pretending to care. Spare me the act and go now."

Y/N blinked, earnestly stating, "I'm saying this for your own well-being. We need to address any potential factors that might negatively impact your performance. As a singer, you simply can't afford to make mistakes." Her gaze lingered on Velvet, who was reclined on the sofa, seemingly on the brink of drifting into sleep. Y/N chuckled softly, adding, "It must be exhausting, not being allowed to make any mistakes at all. Maintaining this image of perfection, isn't it draining?"

Velvet pouted her lips. "It's not draining when you're genuinely perfect, which, of course, I am," she declared, casting a confident smirk in Y/N's direction.

Y/N couldn't help but giggle. "As much as I genuinely believe in your awesomeness, I have to remind you that nobody is perfect, and it's okay to make mistakes," she said with a forced formal smile.

"Not me, I can't," Velvet asserted. Although her words carried a confident tone, there was a subtle shift in the air, a trace of underlying sadness that Y/N keenly picked up on.

"But Velvet, being perfect is impossible," Y/N countered gently.

"I'm either perfect or nothing!" Velvet asserted with an angry tone.

She stared at her for a while, the room enveloped in a heavy silence broken only by the ticking of the clock in the back.

"Velvet... that's... not a healthy way to see things," Y/N expressed with genuine concern.

"You don't get it! This is the only thing I have. I have to be perfect, I don't want to go back to being a nobody. I don't want my existence to be a waste of air," Velvet almost shouted, tears making their way into her eyes.

"You're not a waste of air..." Y/N tried to comfort her.

"But without my work, what am I?! It's all I've got!! It's all I am!!!" Velvet's frustration grew, each word expressing the depth of her inner problems. However, beneath the anger, Y/N sensed a layer of profound pain, hidden, creeping on her.

"First, you need to realize that you are a person, a soul, not defined by what you achieve. I'm sure you're a good person under all of this; you just have to see it," Y/N encouraged, offering Velvet a hug. Velvet stared at her for a while, contemplating, and then finally surrendered into her arms, tears streaming down as she released the weight she had been carrying.

She wrapped her arms around Velvet in a tight hug, feeling the significance of the moment. As Velvet chose to trust her with this vulnerability, she couldn't shake off a peculiar sense of protectiveness. If she could, she'd morph into a shield, guarding Velvet forever. Holding her in her arms, Y/N let Velvet cry it all out, creating a safe space for her emotions to unfold.

After Velvet's tears subsided, Y/N continued holding her for a moment longer before gently pulling away. As she glanced at Velvet's face, she noticed a certain detachment in her expression, as if she wasn't fully present, numb to the world. Y/N tenderly caressed her cheek, cupping her face, eliciting a surprised look from Velvet, who didn't resist.

"I wish you could see yourself the way I see you."

Velvet, uncertain of how to respond, looked away, her emotions swirling in a complex mix of vulnerability and uncertainty.

"I'll help you, okay? We can work on this, together. You aren't alone," Y/N reassured with a sad smile, she started caressing her shoulders.

She buried her face in Y/N's shoulder, silent, obviously thinking of what's going on to her.

Y/N gently caressed Velvet's back. "Is there anything I could do for you?"

"Can you just hold me a little longer? Everything feels better when you are here," Velvet whispered.

Gwen is a collector — but not of collectibles. She has a secret empire of the most random things, and is thoroughly embarrassed when anyone finds it: tickets, pins, soda can tabs, cool-looking clothing tags, mismatched hair clips, paper clips, little things stolen from school, etc. Anything she things is remotely interesting has a place in a very specifically organised box under her bed, tucked away from the world and taken out occasionally to be adjusted or stared at. It's essentially the same as being a collector, right...?

She had a fashion hobby she grew out of, but it re-kindles when she has to design a suit for herself. Initially, it's made up of thermal sportswear but she comes up with actual designs at some point, modifying it overtime to include the hood and to integrate it with her ballet slippers.

When it comes to art, Gwen's style would be a lot like a fashion student's. I headcanon her to have aphantasia so her main strength is drawing clothing, and a lot of her drawings are based on herself as a reference (she can literally only draw herself well...) Rather than a sketchbook, she has a journal that's also full of photographs and writing as well as her drawings, and the occasional crumpled up drum score.

Has a knack for sewing and customises some of her clothes, though it's more personal touches and the occasional crop rather than completely overhauling a piece of clothing. Everyday items of hers have at least a little embroidery or design on them and she likes doing patterns on like bags and converse for her friends. Wants to make plushies and things but always manages to get distracted so there's a bunch of unfinished projects in her closet. (I would totally buy from her on Etsy though 😁)

Gwen did ballet as a kid and developed the enraging habit of cracking EVERY joint in her body. She's the mf that twists in the chair in front of you and stares deep into your soul while cracking her back. Cracks things you don't even know you could crack without shame my girl is a whole instrument 😭

Ballet is something her dad pushed her towards, alongside music (though he preferred she did something more traditional). Initially Gwen did feel out of place in her classes. A lot of the other children at her classes were already well-versed in it, and a lot of times she found she wanted to quit. Only after learning that her mom Helen did ballet did she willingly pick it up again at an older age, incorporating the technique into her fighting style.

Gwen used to play a few different instruments as a kid but none of them really stuck. For a while, she thought she hated music when she did piano and the recorder, but when she got her hands on a drumkit at her school and a couple lessons, she knew it was the one.

Her drumming is definitely more freestyle, and even though she's good she has a lot of problems with her high energy, spontaneous and emotive style. That means she breaks her drumsticks ALL the time. There's no way she's banging all that out on the drums without an unfortunate snap or two, so she always keeps another pair handy. She's broken her drumsticks so much that there's a collection of them torn up at the bottom of her bag (she never bothers to throw them out, and might've given herself a splinter reaching in to find something 💀)

Speaking of drumsticks, she has one lucky pair she uses for important performances, carrying them practically everywhere. They've essentially rotted in their fancy little fabric case since she'd gottem them, the custom "GWENDOLYN MAXINE STACY" imprinted on it having almost completely eroded away.

Though, she's only ever used them once; her dad had bought them for her for a school performance, which she had to bail last minute when her Spider-sense suddenly activated. Running off to fight a villain not a street away, Peter Parker follows her, and he realises just who Spider-Woman really is.

While she was planning to use them at her prom performance with her band... that never happened. After that, everything reminded her of that night, and her relationship with The Mary Janes dwindled until she quit altogether. The band only lasted a few months prior, and since they never got to perform at prom, Gwen found herself playing for no reason at all, other than to get rid of her pent-up energy and forget about the fact that she's basically a wanted criminal.

When she's living in Hobie's universe, she ends up breaking her "lucky" drumsticks and is, understandably, a little shattered by it, but Hobie gets her another pair, "GWENDY" written in mismatched letters on the side. That "G" was definitely a last-minute addition, though. He also teaches her how to stop breaking them so often. "Bit of advice — use the wrists, not just the arms."

Gwen's definitely not meant to drink, so whenever Hobie goes to the pub he makes sure not to, suggesting his friends don't get pissed out of their minds either (though she might steal a sip of something fruity now and again.)

Hobie takes her to gigs all the time, and sometimes she drums for his ones. The first time she does it, she's nervous of course, but her sound immediately gets the crowd going and it's the talk of the town for a week straight (and her drumsticks didn't break!)

There's no shortage of junk food, of course. Just like all the takeout she'd have back at home, Hobie would make sure to take her around all the local spots. Although it's not exactly the same, anything beats the plasticky cafeteria food in 2099. Stopping for a kebab or two in the middle of anomaly-hunting isn't really against the rules anyway.

Gwen is friendly with pretty much everyone in the Spider-society because everyone knows who "Gwen Stacy" is, but she never really wants to meet another version of herself (given how unsettling it is with context). Also very awkward around any MJs — or Peters. Peter B essentially being an older 65!Peter definitely freaks her out a little at first.

Misses Miles, obviously, and probably had something she wanted to make for him back in her universe that she could never retrieve. Maybe when she gets Hobie's watch she'll bring it along with her — would Miles like a knitted neckwarmer?

SO best friends with Margo. Her tech lets Gwen see into her universe sometimes (Miguel wouldn't let her 😞) and Margo is super keen on learning about her universe. They both hang out with Peni and it's a fun little girl trio (Peni totally takes them to her universe to see all the giant mechs 😁 "Girls night!" BOOM!)

Number 1 girlfail. She hasn't broken those new drumsticks yet! But drumming can wait — and all those projects at the back of her closet, and her unresolved dispute with MJ and the band, and her dad at home. Going from her small world to having an entire multiverse against her and her friends, Gwen's got one hell of a show to put on, right?

I was actually thinking about the seven or the angels assigned on earth would eventually get corrupted by the sins or evil that is present there. Originally, I was thinking of their corruption like the one in noragami? When exposed to so much evil it would slowly corrupt them, making them sick and weird eyes would grow on their bodies of sorts and the few ways they can heal themselves are by cleansing themselves with holy water or if push comes to shove, like already borderline dangerous... Then a spell, a spell to separate the evil corrupting the angel. It has to be done by other angels as they need to lock the corrupted angel in a prison of sorts anddd forcefully separates the evil from the angel's body which could be very painful.

Also, yesss... Physical affections are one of her love languages and she often wears fashion that humans wear as she gets influenced by them and sometimes she gifts other of her close angel friends clothes too! [Y/n] and Michael often bonded over their need for coffee to function but she had to stop as it was making her go insane as she gets hyper lmao. Besides, she values her sleep. hi! this may be a question you’ve gotten before, but how do you do the body anatomy/fabrics?! I’m struggling, and your style is awesome, so I just wanted to ask if there was anything specific you studied/read/watched to learn?

i always feel a little bad when i get questions like these bc i actually have … no idea

i used to have a life drawing anatomy book but i never finished bc im more of an observant learner, which is not for everybody, but that’s about it

im a chronic people watcher and i like to stare at people and study their features in a completely non weird way i just genuinely love the human body😭

that’s basically it, i study people, and draw; practice

you have to be aware tho, while looking at people take mental notes like “oh i should do this next time i draw this body part” etc, i also do that while looking at other people’s art

for fabrics i kinda wing it too💀 cause honestly its mostly combining a bunch of triangular shapes where there would be creases in clothing, then connect a few and make them flowy, do more creases where the clothing is loose, and less where it’s tighter on skin if that makes sense

i do a whole lotta tear drop folds surrounded by normal folds

OH and a lot of the times i also take pics of myself when i need a specific pose or lighting reference, i even sometimes ask my friends or family to do a certain pose if i need more than one person too, so that’s pretty helpful i think

these r two characters my best friend and I made for a VERY COOL webcomic we're in the process of creating - mavis (redhead) and her currently unnamed girlfriend because we needed side characters and I felt like she deserved a sapphic relationship 😌

Mavis (full name mavis nic coitir) is the bassist of a 5 person band in a world pretty much the same as our own except there's monsters n magic n people have powers n shit. dont think about it too hard the world building isn't designed for scrutiny.

Mavis' "power"/ability is mostly that she's just freakishly smart. she's the tech junkie of the group, the gadget girl, all that jazz - and also the biggest pop culture nerd ever. she's also the mom friend, she had adhd, she's 20 years old, Irish, and born on the 10th of february. she's a total loser and also the coolest person you'll ever meet.

she has a shit ton of awesome body mods/cyborgy stuff (which I didn't draw because I didnt feel like it💀), including a prosthetic arm - all of which she made herself.

she (like all of our other characters) is an amalgamation of a bunch of different traits and tropes we thought would be funny or cool, and also because I cant keep my sticky fingers out of anything, is losely inspired by one piece characters (namely franky and nami) - again, like most of our other characters💀

i, being a faggot, needed to give her a girlfriend and my friend said "sure :D". I thought it would be funny if she, being the loser ever, somehow pulled like. a beautiful celebrity or actress. and I think the idea in my head has now kind of morphed into like...a really cool artist/content creator who lives in their city and who everyone knows...so like microcelebrity...but still a celebrity to mavis's band mates. I havent yet run this past my friend, but I'm thinking some flavour of blasian for the gf.

also these aren't their actual outfits I just drew the clothes that were on the reference cos it was easier and also I think I am a lot better at drawing clothing folds now so win win. for the record mavis normally wears like an oversized band/pop culture tshirt and some old cargo pants/overalls.

sooo i am from syrup village, i’m actually cousins with usopp so we grew up with each other ! i worked at the restaurant in town.

ace came to syrup village with his crew, he (as per usual) was asleep at the counter when i came in for my shift. some customers told me about it and were concerned abt him.

i’m ngl i did not want to deal with that, as it just added stress levels to my job LMAO but i try multiple times to nudge him and eventually yell for him to wake up (im embarrassed atp) and ofc he wakes up to wipe his face on my clothes 💀

after our odd exchange he tells me abt his crew and being a pirate. i tell him of some pirates i know but that i’ve never been out to sea.

later that day, usopp was alarmed bc there were pirates and was invested in checking out the ship that was docked nearby. i told him not to do anything stupid and that i would go look. i figured it was probably just ace and his crew but was also curious as to what a pirate ship looked like up close!

now in my one piece lore, i am a mermaid (think like h2o) heehee, so ofc i swim and get closer to the boat. unfortunately i get caught up in a net, and his crewmates capture me in it.

luckily ace comes by and tells them to let me go. their doctor helps me with the cuts from the net and eventually i’m all patched up.

ace apologizes for what happens, and offers to take me back home. i tell him i can’t let him do that (due to usopp probably freaking out) and spending the night on his ship would be okay.

so we spend the rest of the night talking and chatting and he tells me of course about luffy and his adventures.

he has to leave the following day, and gives me his bracelet to remember him. (i have additional lore that i gave him a drawing that i did of him while he was sleep). he promises that we will meet again in the future :))
