I am getting sick of seeing posts about Palestine. I appreciate people are passionate about justice all around the world, I know this is nothing compared to the suffering the people getting killed and attacked, I acknowledge that.

But that doesn't make it any less annoying to see it pop up everywhere you go when you're a young adult trying to get your own shit together.

A young adult who isn't able to help others with anything because I don't even have any stability in my own life, I have goddamn issues with not even hating myself or damaging myself, it gets so annoying to see so much of this distant conflict when I'm not even able to properly help myself let alone having the emotional or financial resources and general energy to dedicate to this big political conflict.

Just had to vent this cause otherwise this shit would've kept annoying me until I'd want to comment something rude on an activist's post.

Istg, one more post about this and I'm going to have to block the tag just to keep my mind clear and fresh and as sharp as possible. I feel like it's driving me nuts.

I didn't want to, because turning a blind eye to the suffering of others isn't very cool but when it's getting this repetitive and not getting any positive effect from me viewing it anyways, only worsening things, I'm going to have to.

the interesting thing is that when you say things like 'the united states is beyond saving' people view that as a defeatist statement that is giving up on the hope of a better future, but frankly the thought of a significant number of people on the planet being willing and able to say that there is no place for colonial empires in their vision for the future is, to me, a much brighter and more hopeful political standpoint than the thought of being stuck in a perpetual cycle of choosing 'the lesser of two evils' as the overton window pushes further and further to the right with nothing but enthusiasm from our so-called progressive party.

I hate being political, but...I have read just a few pages of this and I am already afraid for the safety of my family, my friends, and everyone in this country. Like...How. How could you have voted for this? It's lying about caring about its citizens, look at how much it emphasizes abortion taking life from children, who are barely even fetuses. It emphasizes how the "wokeness" of the left has destroyed America. It wants to make marriages permanent and difficult to terminate. Project 2025 thinks it is better for women to be married no matter what than it is for children to be safe. It doesn't care that people can die and leave others behind. This "project" is horrible. Denaturalization, restriction of healthcare, the forcing of tariffs, the list goes on and on. They want to change the CDC, they want to change how healthcare favors people, they are going to get people killed. They don't care, they never had. Please. I honestly didn't realize how much I made it seem as if saying anything remotely critical of her is some kind of crime.

What I actually take issue with is the people who criticize her while coming from a "don't vote for her" perspective.

She is not beyond criticism.

But if Trump makes it then both the people who live in the US and the people who are fighting for their lives in Palestine will all be a trillion times worse off.

Not to mention any possible ripple effects his potential election will have to the rest of us.
