i gasped as she started talking cuz i finally made my lil break through abt terminus and then she plainly said it -.-

so terminus has always been confusing to me cuz they're stated to move backwards in time to murmur the prophecy of the future, even tho they're the finality?? that happens in the future?? and how can they speak of the future if they ascended in the past

i only understood this after playing ghost trick lol, ig all i had to do is to scratch the idea of terminus ascending in the 'present' (the past to us) instead they ascended in the future and are currently traveling to the past (our present). we now know that the SH follow finality and they're avoiding the destruction of the future so makes sense they know of the future, if terminus is going back to the more distant past while ascended in the past themselves, how can they know of the future?

if finality already happened, Is it possible that terminus ascended at that point? to go back to the past and try to change it. ig terminus doesn't want to erase "finality" but just change the way it happens

okay hold on. Only one thing comes to mind when you mention an aeon's grace, are we confirming that terminus is the one who altered TB's body to be able to host a stellaron?

it's so interesting that nanami uses 'what' rather than 'who' in tpg 42's first question about sukuna, because that framing kinda ties into the fact that until bullying sukuna club starts, the ff perceives him as a monster, a villain from a fairy tale -- and understandably so, because that's all his actions have shown. and this snippet reinforces this idea:

What can Nanami even say? Calling Sukuna a monster is beyond the word pointless.

because at this point, all sukuna is is the one who's nearly killed both his sons and his best friend's husband

so. in 42 and 43, all we see are what sukuna says and does, tying into him being mostly framed as either a monster or a comic relief-type character/the butt of the joke; there are hints of sukuna's Tragic Backstory present, but they're fairly vague so far

and then. 44. aka the one where we actually get into sukuna's head. before i even begin pointing out specific quotes, it's so interesting how you've managed to completely flip the readers' perceptive on sukuna, from something that matches the ff's to a more nuanced? view, where the effects of the tragedy that made him who he is today are more clearly visible

Sukuna is stronger than him, of course, and their circumstances aren’t entirely alike, but they’re similar enough to make Sukuna’s skin crawl. And it’s not even his own skin.   The man is too naive. If he ain’t careful, history’s gonna repeat itself.

this terrifies me, but it's also making me think of some of the Backstory Theories from the tpg discord hmmmmmmm [sound of thoughts bouncing around my brain like the dvd logo]

OHHHHHH this reminds me of this quote from getou pov in tpg 22:

which i think is particularly interesting for two reasons: 1) getou and sukuna parallels 2) idk if this was intentional (knowing you it probably was) but a significant portion of getou's arc past that point ^ has to do with his son, and his own concept of son-hood (is that a word 💀) in regards to both his birth parents and touji. is it possible that sukuna's backstory/future character development has to do with the concept of heroism?

anyway--

you hit on a lot of interesting points here!! framing sukuna as "what" rather than "who" in nanami's first question was deliberate, a way to contrast how unexpected sukuna's incarnation was. "who" usually indicates some degree of sentience or personification, something almost every curse severely lacks. so right off the bat, the fam wasn't ready for what was about to befall them.

nanami's perception of sukuna is exceptionally bad, especially since his sons were sukuna's major victims. but he realized that in order for toge to stop being afraid of his own brother, a somewhat, uh, unconventional approach would be necessary: thus, bullying sukuna club was born.

it's also important to note that despite treating him like a joke and laughing at his dramatic, violent declarations, the fam actually does still very much see him as a monster. they're doing this because they know it's the only way they can actually get to him, especially since fear and others' terrified perceptions of him are part of what makes him so damn strong. so they laugh at him because it's far better than the alternative -- that said, if one doesn't think about the fact that he's actually carried out the atrocities he colorfully monologues about, they are kinda funny.

.......aaaand then we see the inside of sukuna's head and realize oh no, this is an incredibly self-aware, sad, wet man who desperately needs a hug but would kill (almost) anyone who actually tried to give him one. yet there are still traces of that monster in his thoughts, since that's what Tragic Backstory made him become.

also aughh yeah, getou and sukuna parallels were DEFINITELY intentional. those two have a lot in common, and as 43 revealed there are many parallels with gojo too. you were right to pick up on the notes of sukuna's revulsion towards heroics: perhaps it's something he struggled with in the past. we shall see.......

while getou's redemption arc had much to do with atonement, i'd say sukuna's is about healing. this man has really, really been thru it. sometimes i wonder if his backstory is too sad but at this point we're in too deep

I'm pretty disorganized, like really disorganized, but I can usually find what I'm looking for, it's kinda an organized chaos kinda thing, except it's not organized and I'm just good at remembering where I put stuff.

My hobbies include gardening, playing guitar (music is a big thing for me and my family), going on long walks with absolutely no destination, and cooking/baking.

I absolutely *hate* when people don't listen to what I have to say, which happens pretty often, dont know if people are tired of hearing me talk so much or if they never bothered listening to begin with, but its annoys me so much when someone asks me a question I've already answered, or don't pay attention to a story I'm telling.

I'm the oldest of four, two little sisters and a little brother, they're energetic to say the least, but I enjoy being around high energy people, I grew up with it, so it's what I'm comfortable with. People who are monotone all the time freak me out.

For your guys first date together, he planned to make dinner for the two of you but he lost track of time and before he knew it you were inside his house with a sweet smile on your face. He was embarrassed at first when losing track of time and ruining the surprise, but when seeing the look on your face at the sight of being able to help cook with him, he would do anything to see that look again.

When he found out about your wide span of knowledge of flowers, he made sure to buy you flowers every time the two of you went out. He expects you to tell him about the flowers and share whatever knowledge you have about them. After a while of dating, he knows almost everything about flowers and knows which one is the best to get for a certain situation and how to tell what type of flowers to get someone. All thanks to his great s/o.

Assasination Classroom: Karma Akabane

Teasing is something we all know Karma does, and it's something he's not going to stop doing. especially for someone he likes. You were used to his playing and teasing though since all of it was light hearted and wasn't anything too extreme. His teasing is usually done to see a smile on your face, which will then bring a simile onto his face knowing he was able to make you happy.

Long Walks through the park or anywhere for that matter are a must with Karma. He enjoys going on them to clear his mind and to just listen to the soft sounds of nature around him. His favorite is the beach and being able to feel the sand and being able to hear the soft sounds of waves in the background.

When Karma first met your siblings, it was a quick friendship between them all. He made sure to be able to connect with all of them in a certain way that would make them approve of him and it worked. He's now the fan favorite of your household and your siblings always wonder when he's going to be coming back so they could talk and hang out with him. Everytime he comes over, he makes sure to spend a little bit of time with your siblings and do whatever they are in the mood for.

Host Club: Honey - Senpai

When he first heard you play the guitar, he fell in love, needing to hear it all the time. Everytime that he comes over, expect to be asked to play for him. He thinks it's the most beautiful thing he's ever heard and loves how skilled you are at it. Tells Mori all about it the next day and explain every detail of the song and the way your fingers strummed the chords perfectly.

Bakery Dates are a must in this relationship, I mean it's Honey-senpai, what did you expect from him? You guys go to all sorts of bakeries together and try different types of treats and meals together enjoying every single one of them. His favorite are bakeries that only have cake, you gusy spend so much money there it's shocking that you're not banned from the amount of cake Honey eats.

9.How do you worldbuild?

a lot of the basis for my dsmp story worldbuilding comes from one au i made in like 2020 (?) that i was fucking obsessed with, and i made that au by not paying attention in online school and writing little ficlets building the lore of the au up- my plan was to have fully fledged out character arcs for every dsmp member (i only finished 3)

i think generally my world-building is pretty messy, more vibes based than going through a checklist to make sure i know what the government and currency looks like

10.How do you do character arcs?

character arcs are definitely one of my weak points, especially in shorter works, but for longer ones i generally will think of it as the characters being shaped by the plot of the story, and not the other way around. for example, in false pretenses i know that i want sapnap to start off being generally lost, feeling like he has no sense of purpose, and he finds that through his employment. then i go through how i think his character would cope with that- with his entire sense of self being built on his job- does he think of how his dad is in a similar position? does he think of his friends and how they seem more defined by their friendship, their love?

hopefully that made some sense 😭 my planning is very disorganized

5. How do you translate the world of Minecraft to fit into your fanfics when you keep the original setting?

this is somehting that is so fascinating to me- seeing how other people handle it in their fics, looking at the difference between my own aus. for my manhunt time loop au, that world is very much based in minecraft, so i dont shy away from referencing dream opening his inventory or dying. with that au, i want to explore the implications of minecraft.

for my dsmp fics, i try to be a bit more subtle about it, in a way similar to how they would rp within the world- some acknowledgment of the minecraft rules, tied in with respect for the rp aspects. cdream has a full inventory of potions, but the heat of the lava in the prison affects him.

i also think its fun to explore how enchantments and potions work in the context of minecraft and its magic system, which i guess goes back to the worldbuilding question- sometimes my basis for a fic is just what if each persons personal weapon or armor enchantments feel different to everyone elses- is the nightmare armor hostile to anyone not cdream wearing it? do xds gifted enchanted items feel godly in their power, or less personal?

overall i dont give a shit about the panel situation bc im not the one that paid to sit with him and ended up watching a game for most of the time.

HI ANON im actually so glad someone asked. i personally think that there's a big chance it really is tyrion— @seethemflying 's excellent meta was what really convinced me in the end!

my secondary candidate and pet crack theory is loras tyrell because. Well. kingslayer stew. and also cersei has drawn parallels between her & jaime and margaery & loras. and also bc if cersei ever has marge killed or something, i can easily imagine loras taking revenge for his sister. this one's more of an indulgent thing though, i dont think it has a big chance of being canon 😂

honestly though, the main reason why i dont think that jaime is the valonqar is that i just hate it and all that it represents. sorry to valonqar!jaime truthers but GOD do i hate valonqar!jaime it would be an absolute regression of his character arc and i ESPECIALLY hate people who see him killing his sister as """"redemptive"""" LIKE HOW IS KILLING (BY STRANGULATION, MIND YOU) YOUR ADMITTEDLY MURDEROUS BUT STILL YOUR SISTER REDEMPTIVE IN ANY WAY?

okay i went a little off tangent there but anyways. as i said i hate it because it's an absolute regression of his character arc. his arc is about moving away from his sister, rediscovering himself as his own person separate from her and living up to knightly ideals once again. throughout asoiaf, george chips away at the "i am him and he is me" rhetoric—because even though cersei claims they are the same person they are clearly not! sure, they may look alike (in the beginning) but take one look at jaime's chapters compared to cersei's and slowly you begin to see just how different they're starting to be. im not explaining this in detail because chronicling their whole "we think we're essentially the same person but actually we're really not" bs would be a WHOLE other post, but suffice to say that you can really see how he grows and changes from cocky, golden kingslayer in agot to the jaime in adwd. having to kill his sister-lover, especially if it's done by way of choking as the prophecy claims, which as i say is a regression because the whole point is becoming SEPARATE from his sister and this will only serve to re-tangle himself into cersei's web in a horrifically traumatic way.

additionally i find it hard to even think of a motive—jealousy? no, jaime's shown in his chapters that he's bitter but not murderously angry about it. wildfire? people argue that it would be an aerys parallel and fine, whatever. but in my opinion, the parallel you're looking for is brienne and lady stoneheart, not jaime and "mad queen cersei". i think it serves no purpose for jaime to do the exact same thing again.

additionally, it just makes no sense location- and story-wise. jaime literally just went off with brienne to lady stoneheart. he's in the riverlands facing death and you're telling me he's going to ride all the way back to kings landing just to kill his sister? 😭

plus a lot of people who headcanon valonqar!jaime also like to make it into a murder-suicide and—I AM SO TIRED OF JC MURDER-SUICIDE I AM SO SICK OF THIS THEORY IT'S EVERYWHERE OH MY GOD I HATE IT SO MUCH

9th of december — i have not had the tumblr app on my phone for like forever until today, so i dont have any idea how this post would actually appear as i am publishing this using my phone. i am intending this to be a 2x2 photoset, but i am not sure if this would turn out the way i want to. quite a lot has changed on the app since the last time i had it, so i really am not sure how things work here now. also, my phone is outdated as i still currently have my iphone 6 for years now (nope, no plans on upgrading it anytime soon as it is not a practical idea as of now), so i don’t have the most updated version of the app.

anyhoo, i just really want this post to appear the way i’m imagining it to or else i’ll end up reposting it through my computer, BUT I REALLY HOPE NOT. my oc self just couldn’t bear seeing a disorganized entry on this blog. :(

i am using my phone to write here because my laptop won’t turn on as of the moment. oh nooooo 😢 it was pretty fine last night, so i really don’t understand why all of a sudden, it just stopped working. huhu.

on another note, i’m so thankful that we were spared from typhoon odette. i barely had any decent sleep last thursday as it was forecasted that odette will pass through our area at 2-4am on a friday. being able to experience the lashing whip of yolanda 8 years ago, then ursula 2 years ago, we were really terrified when the news broke out about the coming super typhoon, and we tried our best to prepare as much as we could.

the strong winds started blowing at night and got stronger at 2am onwards, but we were really thankful that it was not as devastating in our area as we expected it to be. fortunately, it didn’t have any landfall on panay island, but my heart really breaks for those people who were greatly affected by the disaster. 💔 the winds we experienced that time were scary. how much more on those places that were on the center of the typhoon? i cannot imagine how terrfying it was for them. it is really heart-breaking to see so many places and people suffering from this environmental crisis that we are currently experiencing. 😭 i am just praying that the Lord God will give us enough strength to get back up, especially those who were severely affected, and i’m trying to help in the littlest of ways that i could.

by this time, i still have more to share, but i prolly will reserve the other ones for another entry as this may be too long already.
