Soundwave Stim HC
again i dont have much, these are mostly audio and physical but i really like these
Physical
tap tap ocasional 'nail' tapping, tapping fingers rhythmically on surfaces, etc usually isnt an active or noticed stim because instead hes typing and tapping away and keys and controls on the ship however can and will do this on occasion as a mindless stim
minor movements sort of just moving small joint/limb a tiny bit, head nodding or tilting barely noticeable tiny movements, almost stiff but still very much something he does. appears still especially when someone's looking at him but when not being perceived or doesnt notice eyes on him (or around someone hes more relaxed and comfortable around like perhaps starscream) hes doing little movements.
flexing not like humans showing off muscles kind of flexing but more like opening and closing his hand(s), raising and lowering his 'shoulders'. sort of goes in hand with the minor movements only these ones arent as small and a bit more noticable sort of does "clammy hand" gestures when uncomfortable, anxious or nervous. definitely picked up some of the physical stims from humans, we all know hes tuned in online 24/7
Audio
beat drop listening to heavy bass, electronic, synth or something more specific like daft punk if its too quiet and hes alone or starscream doesnt mind, music will be coming from him to fill the silence. will pull up something from the human's archives like youtube or spotify or tune into a radio station and find something that can work as background noise keeps the volume a little low though, hes still gotta be listening to coms and such so there cant bee too much noise all the time
repeat replays recordings of things he heard and likes. someone said something funny or that just sounds nice? hes got it saved and replays it when hes bored kinda like having a laugh track on hand if starscream slips up, he's got all the best vine references and tiktok audios. all the meme clips. this also really helps him express things better.
listener avid listener, talk to him, not so much interact hes not exactly the responsive type, he just listens. yes he may be recording but its mostly just so he can listen again later usually its starscream hes listening to yap away but truly doesnt mind, its something to listen to may prefer certain peoples voices over others though, specifically some cons voice over others filling the silence.
Visual
namesake watching things like literal sound waves, the thing of his namesake, can be really relaxing watching the lines and/or bars rise and fall with the pitch of a noise or voice is soothing almost always has this displayed on his screen, at least when hes playing a recording or something but if hes got his back turned to someone whos talking to him or they arent looking directly at him hes watching the sound waves of their voice while they speak. (yes hes still paying attention to the words)
Data Collection to quote another purple, logic-oriented, neurodivergent headcanoned character. "Data collection calms me down" loves just collecting data especially on something that hes become fixated on like view counts or like to dislike ratios on youtube videos. (he spends a lot of his past time on the human web) this is just something he likes looking at, watching numbers and lines change is amusing, simply put.
a lot of these are constant stims, he is chronically understimulated.

Busybee my dear, hello from a fellow queer trans asain! i would love a matchup if its not too much trouble for you :3c
What song are you currently fixated on?
Oh my god, my friends and I have recently started making monthly playlists and it’s one of my favourite things to do; just curate a playlist over the course of a month!! currently its a load of fnaf living tombstone music BUT I’ve also been obsessed with The Distance by Cake? As a drummer, i absolutely adore the bass of this song!! Or Super Bon Bon by Soul Coughing has also some absolutely amazing drums!! Apart from that, I’m generally in love with everything Crane Wives BUT particularly for this month, the song Back to the Ground is so delicious!!I would put my fave lyrics but then i might have to transcribe the whole song lol. Just- the entire vibe and meaning of the song is so good (like most every crane wives song ill be honest)
Enneagram type?
Oof oh i havent done thay quiz in a hot minute but last i checked i was a 9w1 which definitely speaks to my lazy ass lol. I’m also an INFP?? I’m also a huge DND nerd so I have taken the alignment quiz and im chaotic good id that helps in any way HAHAH!!!
favourite Redacted audio?
100% the whole of avior and starlights playlist. absolutely devastating. i had to pause the playlist several times and lie down for a minute because i was so absolutely insane abt them. i love them so deeply. I’m definitely more drawn to the more plot heavy characters and arcs as compared to like ashers or davids which is more like cute couple moments (not that they dont have plot but its like. ashers playlist vs marcus’s ykyk) but that being said my favourite video of all time is probably elliots HBS video!! He is my favourite boy i will not lie i am so utterly obsessed with him and i would absolutely write pages upon pages abt why i love him and why his character is so my favourite for the ever.
fave platonic boy?
ASHER !! OR GUY!! I love silly dudes and they are peak silly boys. honestly i could see myself being best buds with Guy because we’re both so dirty minded and very clingy silly?? but there are also aspects where i would balance him out, like while i do love being chaotic i also understand the importance of just stfu and being silent every once in a while so i thunk there wld be times where there ARE shenanigans but also times where hes rambling my ears off and i can just sit. and listen. And I do love the hc that Guy plays DND and now i can absolutely imagine us playing dnd together OR binging dnd playthroughs. AND for asher, I feel like i wouldve had a crush on him because hes so like silly but also hes such an absolute sweetheart darling and hes so endearing that u just cant help but love him yk? but it wld be one of those friendship crushes that just means we end up being super close.
what gets the big boy a-snoozin?
anythin thay involved peoples voices. like straight up listenin to people talk absolutely sends me straight to dream land asap!! its kinda specific though like, if its a podcast? I can’t listen to those. the voice quality just sounds different from like a video of someone talking?? to me at least. And i can only fall asleep to videos of people talking (which is lowkey how. i got into boyfriend audios in the first place. amen insomnia). so now i have a sleepin playlist that consists of boyfriend (and girlfriend) audios, video essays about SCP’s and internet drama (shoutout to the right opinion) and also dnd playthroughs!
do u like long form video essays??
I LOVE VIDEO ESSAYS ABOUT SCP’S. i put them on when i cook!! I love ones that just talk abt the SCPs cause some are truly mind boggling and world shattering! I also listen to video essays abt youtuber drama because im not better then that and also a lot of them have quite impressive video editing!
Imaginary friends?
I think as someone who started watching horror movies at a very young age and is also super obsessed with horror movies/books now, i fully believe that if you had a imaginary friend as a child, you’re absolutely cursed and haunted and u need to be exorcised asap. (/j) no my parents were always super realistic with me and told me point blank that santa wasnt real, imaginary friends were only for mentally ill kids, and the only real big guy is the big boy in the sky. so. no imaginary friends BUT i did and still have a teddy bear (very creatively named bear bear) and i used to cry when i lost him.
i think thats it! i hope. thats enoigh haha. oh, some extra stuff abt me! I love cookin food, it’s very fun if not incredibly tiring, plus im perpetually broke, so tryin to cook up my favourite restaurant meals is also fun! I love drinks too (firm believer that every meal NEEDS to have a drink to accompany it) i’m a particularly huge fan of bubble tea (before it was cool ok) i did try to make my own bubble tea but it got really time consuming and not worth it. i love collecting plushies, i have about 10 in my room and yes they absolutely trigger my sinus but its so worth it. i love gamin and one of my first big boy buys was a gamin PC that i used to play Stray, Sims, Minecraft and most recently, FNAF! please pray i save up enough to get BG3. ٩( ᐛ )و
ok now thats really enough! thank you for this!! even if u dont get round to doin a matchup for me, thanks for lettin me ramble abt my interests :3 the questions are actually so fun hehe <333
Oh, I really like you. Not just because you gave me a lot of info to go on but because you and I have so much in common! Us queer, trans, Asian Type Nines have to stick together which is why I’m so pleased to pair you with Lasko.
I know I say this all the time, but it’s the perfect amount of similarities and differences that make a good pair in my opinion. I think your shared love of DnD, your introversion, your queer trans identity (because Lasko is queer and a whole allegory for a trans childhood, bless his heart) would be a great foundation for a solid relationship. Yet, it’s the differences that bring the spark like your love of horror where he would be squeamish or your chaotic good to his lawful.
I have such clear snapshots in my head of what your relationship would be like; if only I were an artist. You remind me of @itsdaifuku’s lovely piece of Dear as a guitarist and Lasko watching, starstruck, from the crowd; that would be you but as the drummer. I also love to imagine the two of you in the kitchen: you cooking, him mindlessly grading papers, an SCP video on, and Lasko looking up aghast when he finally tunes into what you’ve both been listening to.
Song:
I mean she even cooks me pancakes/ And Alka Seltzer when my tummy aches/ If that ain't love then I don't know what love is/ We even got a secret handshake/ And she loves the music that my band makes/ I know I'm young but if I had to choose her or the sun/ I'd be one nocturnal son of a gun
Sorry but not sorry, I’ve projected and given Lasko my elder emo taste in music. It’s cute, it’s iconic, and he’d know all the words- shyly, sheepishly joining in if you start rapping along with it as you cook. I like to imagine 2000’s emo music brings out a silly, karaoke-esque exuberance in Lasko, and then you could be silly together.
Runner-ups:
Milo is one of your runner-ups because (and I know I say this all the time too) it’s so fun to pair that scaredy-wolf with a horror buff. Everything he’s learned about SCPs has been against his will and because he loves you. Hudson is a runner-up because I’m obsessed with pairing musicians with DJ Anxiety; he’d love you and your drumming so much.
note: thank you so much for waiting 💕 I’m glad you had fun!
Read this post and send me an ask if you’d like a match-up of your own! 💌

me when i first saw fnf bf x pico: people will just ship anyone huh. i mean i guess its a funny crackship?? but i think people are just desperate for a gay ship. besides, i dont like any of pico’s songs :/
me less than a day later: The reason why all of Pico’s songs have much heavier bass and feel more rap-like is because BF and Pico are bitter ex’s. The song “Pico” starts out much more light hearted, the two of them running into each other for the first time in years and deciding to try and have a rap battle. It starts out quite fun, BF even feeling comfortable enough to sing along with Pico instead of just copying like he normally does. Unfortunately, one of them says the wrong thing and “Philly” starts out with Pico bringing up something from their past, casing the two of them to start arguing about said thing, as shown by the pick up in tempo, slightly distorted lines, and BF no longer trying to diverge from what Pico is saying, only focusing on deflecting what Pico is claiming, and blaming him for some of their mistakes. This causes “Blammed” to be the height of their argument, with the two of them going all out with their claims. The song’s heavy bass, faster lyrics, and distorted audio make it feel much angrier, and the part that BF sings where he has some distorted background noise repeating a line from earlier makes it feel angry, if not desperate for Pico to finally understand what he’s trying to say. Unfortunately, we do not know what happens after the song. But, I choose to believe that the two of them finally realize their faults, and that there wasn’t one defining thing that broke their relationship, but rather the two of them being too stubborn and refusing to try to adapt and support each other. While everyone within this type of relationship doesn’t have to forgive to move on, they choose to sort of restart their relationship, starting off platonic and actively trying to help each other into not only better friends, but better people in general. Once again, while not every platonic relationship ends this way, I think they would eventually get back together romantically, and while the relationship isn’t perfect, it’s so much better and the two of them are much happier. GF is also their main supporter and has the best advice for when the two of them don’t know how to improve their relationship. I have listened to all of Pico’s songs on loop for five hours straight.

aimless musings on subgenre, citypop, and internet subcultures
theres something very interesting about watching citypop become very mainstream in korea and watching that feed back into both western listeners’ opinions and also into the sometimes-cynical efforts of a variety of kpop producers
a lot of people in the youtube/kpop sphere talk about the growth of citypop as if it were a spontaneous wave that appeared out of nowhere with mariya takeuchi’s plastic love getting picked up by the youtube algorithm in like 2018 or whatever, but thats a very like online-ignorant view of the interaction between vintage japanese music and worldwide online EDM production. citypop has been used in future funk and vaporwave for almost a decade by now, and, as a result, a number of citypop songs took off on social media here and there before plastic love’s acceleration— dress down by kaworu akimoto is one of the big examples off the top of my head, but there’s likely many many more.
youtube
“Plastic Love” by Mariya Takeuchi (1984). if you haven’t heard this yet, you’d better listen to it now. The video that first went viral was uploaded in 2017
youtube
“Selfish High Heels” by Yung Bae, Macross 82-99, and Harrison (2014) is a popular Future Funk remixes of Dress Down by Kaoru Akimoto (1986)
people who haven’t been very aesthetically literate online over the years— musically or visually, since those things are tied in subcultures— treat things like they come from nowhere. there are ongoing subcultural conversations that lead to certain aesthetic choices, and when someone tries to cash in on a trend without understanding what the trend is, that leads people to call bullshit. calling bullshit is not meanspirited, in my opinion, because it very much is like somebody who can’t speak a language getting up in front of everybody and saying “hey, i’m fluent!” and then speaking some vaguely that-language-sounding nonsense. of course people who genuinely speak that language will be outraged instinctively. it feels like being mocked.
that’s why the difference between music producers picking up on a trend cynically and music producers picking up on a trend with earnest interest in that trend’s origins feels different, even if the producers are similarly distant from the original subculture that produced that trend.
youtube
“Lady” by Yubin (2018) committed hard to the 80s JP citypop aesthetic, musically and visually, down to the sets, all fairly early in the major resurgence.
i’m sure that anyone with a passing familiarity with citypop and kpop can ascertain that not all kpop producers know what citypop is and what makes it citypop. all they know is that it is on-trend and they have to make it. not all kpop listeners know what citypop is and what makes it citypop. all they know is their idol said citypop as a buzzword in their little prepared statement. all this results in some interesting moments for me as a Music Fan, Online.
here is where i get to the thing that spurred this post: loona “did a citypop” for their japanese comeback. it doesnt sound like citypop.
youtube
“Hula Hoop (Citypop Version)” by Loona (2021). It has very odd percussion rhythms and mixing for citypop, no real attempt at a citypop verse, and strangely sparse gestures towards citypop in the form of a few seconds of bass and some synthesized orchestral embellishments that were taken from the original mix …all in spite of a very disco-inspired melody that should have worked perfectly for citypop
this is not a very big deal, and im not mad about it or anything. when a kpop act i like gets saddled with an unfortunate B-Side track i dont tend to take it very hard. however, it did raise a little bit of musical discourse in the loona fandom— in the form of remixes.
youtube
“hula hoop if it was actually a citypop song” by loonahatetwinks and Olivia Soul on youtube. this one has an original instrumental that is spot-on for contemporary k-citypop
My most favorite one of these remixes is a futurefunk remix by ZSunder, one of the very best LOONA fan producers. The fact that ZSunder thought to make a future funk remix at all speaks more to an understanding of the mutually supportive relationship between citypop and EDM genres than most kpop citypop producers or fanmixers seem to care to know about.
youtube
“Hula Hoop (Future Funk Mix)” by ZSunder is futurefunk made and mixed with such love that it has the infectious summery energy of a polished, big-name future funk hit
in the comments of this video, some people seemed to get the citypop-future funk connection and some didnt. many did get it, don’t get me wrong! but also, its not all that surprising for some kpop-focused listeners to not know much about EDM subcultures and the reasons behind various trends among producers, since kpop as an institution tends to take influences from any genre and culture it likes and then decontextualize those influences by just having their names used as buzzwords in the blurbs the idols have to recite when variety show hosts ask them about their latest single. this isn’t a criticism of the genre or the fans really, it’s just a part of the kpop industry that is used to add shine to an endless firehose-like stream of polished pop tracks. there are some issues with using whole genres and subcultures with complex histories as buzzwords, but god help us if we ever want a pop industry to give its influences their dues.
anyway, the intention behind ZSunder’s future funk Hula Hoop remix happened to remind me me of why i love Yukika’s discography so much, especially the Soul Lady album. I’ve seen some reviews online baffled by parts of Soul Lady, because the album in general is an exploration of that relationship between citypop and modern/internet EDM. i’ve seen plenty of Soul Lady reviews especially baffled by pit-a-pet, saying something along the lines of “what’s with the modern-sounding dance track in the middle of a retro album?”, but i think that pit-a-pet is a futurefunk-inspired track, at least in the chorus. considering both that and the Chill Lo-Fi Interludes, it seems like estimate’s team put together Soul Lady for Yukika in a way that shows that they love citypop and understand the online-specific electronic music subcultures that led to citypop’s resurgence.
youtube
“pit-a-pet” by Yukika (2020). the stacatto, bass heavy chorus is futurefunk enough, but the soaring orchestral part in the final chorus seals the deal for my interpretation.
youtube
“All Flights Are Delayed (1 hour version)” by Yukika (2020). Estimate literally released an hour-long youtube mix of one of the Lo-Fi interludes on Soul Lady as part of their promotion, clearly inspired by “Lo-Fi anime beats to chill out to,” which is another example of online producers from around the world using Japanese samples as a focal point of their music
Estimate, in the end, is still a Kpop production company, just the same as BBC, so they have no inherent claim over citypop, but the way that their exploration of subgenres clearly comes from passion and interest on the part of their production staff makes it so that their work with Yukika rings true. on the other hand, i really appreciate Ryan S. Jhun’s work on LOONA’s JP comeback, as well as on Not Friends, but the citypop mix thing was so clearly an afterthought to the point where fans of Loona who like citypop seem mostly just irritated by the cynical-seeming attempt.
heres one last good modern kpop citypop MV that has nods to the internet culture that led to its revival in the form of the videography— vaporwave, future funk, lofi, and other internet genres along those lines tend to have videos consisting of looping anime and vhs clips. future funk in particular is known for this, especially since a lot of future funk music, esp early future funk, is just loops of very short, catchy segments of citypop and disco songs. it’s all about the loops
youtube
“My Type” by Yoon JongShin ft. Miyu Takeuchi (2019). This song is so dedicated to the retro JP citypop sound that it’s almost beyond my personal taste. The singer, Miyu, was a headlining act at a seoul citypop festival and sang this song as part of her act (:
youtube
this video of “Only One” by Conscious Thoughts (2015) has a looped clip as an example for comparison with My Type. it also has a pulsing sidechain compressor working in time with its drum beat in a way that is common for future funk and that i think is a good example for my pit-a-pet yukika comparison to future funk
i guess the takeaway here is that media is more and more online, and the creation and propagation of digital audio and video content has been in the hands of literally almost anybody who wants to do it for the past two decades thanks to garage band and fruityloops and audacity and tiktok and youtube and bandcamp and soundcloud and myspace and newgrounds and p2p file sharing and so on and so forth. and therefore like… as with all things, the consumer class more and more is also the creator class, and therefore every member of an audio-visual subculture will have the ability to discern what is and isnt made with knowledge of the audio-visual language of that subculture
#me using elder millennial phrasing for Loona Did A City Pop to imply how out-of -touch it is kfhajfhs#mine#music#long post#Youtube

Octo Expansion Song Opinions
Opinions on songs in the Octo Expansion soundtrack, despite me only having heard the soundtrack while watching Youtubers play. Track list taken from https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvNp0Boas723rAgtj9OdbbLtIJQMkSfcC
Introduction - its a snippet of calamari inkantation, but starts quiet and feels... tinny and slightly bass-boosted... still good, though. radio 8/10
Nasty Majesty - does not show up until end, which makes the placement strange. super powerful and badass, like the queens who sang it. love the rapping. percussion line 10/10
Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme (Octo) / Player Editor - pretty laid-back and calm. the rattle in the background makes it more militaristic though, fitting for him. then it takes on a weird wavy part at the end with a heartbeat (player creation?) before going back. snare 7/10
#5 thirsty - scifi feel. the melody feels like blips on a radar of something. i like the electro undertones. this one is fast, but doesnt 100% tell u to go fast, like ‘take short breaks every now and then.’ i like this one. speed 9/10
Deepsea Metro Central Station - like #5 but not rushed. this one is just background. there are weird clanks which imply activity elsewhere but nearby. really captures that metro station feel. ambience 8/10
Telephone Theme - really otherworldly at the parts that sound like a person but then regresses into a bouncy bouncy tune with autotuned static clips for a melody. could do with less of those weird sections like the very beginning. trumpet 6/10
Inside the Deepsea Metro Subway Car - very dj-like. the high-pitched voice caught me off guard for a second. this theme sounds almost curious, while still being bouncy and upbeat. there are audio clips of speech interspersed with it, which really nails the “inside a metro” feel. theres a small calamari inkantation motif in some sort of muffled metal xylophone interspersed with it, which i liked. chirp 8/10
#0 shell - kinda chill but also the pulsing melody makes it feel like its urging you to do something. i like the random clashes in the background, like woodblocks. this one is very ambience. perhaps being on a high area overseeing things, being there but separated. space 7/10
#1 progress - one melody sounds like a voice being dubstepped into oblivion, with low undertones. fast percussion though, so i think this is a very ‘go go go’ song, while still ‘enjoy the scenery’ vibes. a very determined sounding song. gotta go fast 8/10
#6 frisk - sounds like someone zipping and unzipping a zipper. very clean-cut. the melody sounds like an afterthought, its a little muffled. not a huge fan of this one but its okay. zipper 5/10
#4 dunno - ah, the box one. reminds me of weird jungle-ish music with an otherworldly feel to it. very xylophone/marimba heavy. i dont really like the long held-out notes tho. plucky 6/10
#2 ripped - the beginning did sound like some intimidating dude, the melody that intersperses itself is like the sidekick who talks a lot. slowly escalates. gangsta 6/10
#9 party - i like that guitar in the background. does sound rave-like. theres weird breaks every now and then for a riff. not something i’d really want to listen to for long periods of time but still catchy. aloha 7/10
Shark Bytes - the slightly more laid back escape anthem. pearls part has a funky backing melody, and i really liked her rap that time. (i think im a bit biased tho i like nearly all of pearls parts.) i like the melody part where marina harmonizes and pearl just raps, thats beautiful. action 9/10
8 regret - chill. sounds a bit melancholy, but that could just be me thinking about its title. its slower and more laid-back, which is probably why its played because the 8-ball levels are high-stress. the rests on 4th beats is nice. irony 8/10 (hah)
#14 crush - very swingish and jazzy. pleasant to listen to. i like the different voices singing, but the nananannaaaanana part is a little (tiny) bit annoying. theres a bit that sounds like an alarm. marching band 6/10
#13 shade - sounds like its ur enemies singing, not you. the low wavering notes dont help with that. the voices sound a little like donald duck. very aptly named though, like ur enemies are throwing shade. synchronity 7/10
#16 salty - very wavy notes, then a bit that sounds like glitching. this one is minorly foreboding something. very jumpy and checkery. okay but if i had a different song i would pick it. cha-ing 5/10
#12 awake - calming. its like being in a weird, weird garden, but still appreciating the nature and stuff. i like this one. oh this played during the pool one, right? staccato 9/10
#11 above - plucky and whimsical, with guitar riffs and low piano notes. very laboratory-testing-like. the higher melody reminds me of data being entered into a computer or something. metholodical 7/10
TEST PASSED! - triumphant. makes me feel like doing jazz-hands. jingle 9/10
#19 bless - this ones the thang station music. reminds me of deltarune’s fountain music a little, but with rap. very ambience, and also makes you anticipate something. bells 7/10
Thang Jingle - oh i like this one. tinny and brassy. winning with style 8/10
Completion - a victory fanfare-ish but gets lower in pitch, like the players sanity at this point if playing nonstop. at the very end, low bass riffs with the higer melody = yas agent 3, you go. saved at the last second 7/10
Splattack (Octo) - ok this is one of my FAVES. brainwashed agent 3 is easy when compared to inner, but the theme of this one was just really good. something familiar that you can still recognize, but its different and twisted. i really liked the erratic nature of this song, and splattack was just a good song in general. plus the narrative tension at this point makes this real dramatic. chaotic 10/10
Reaching the Surface - a quiet, reflective one fitting for the moment of awe for agent 8, and then fades into nasty majesty bc off the hook is here with their helicopter army. sunrise 8/10
Actually it's Commander Tartar's Theme - the telephone is back with its true intentions. a twisted, distorted version of the telephone theme. good name though. opinion of phone 3/10
The Plan - marina’s a smart cookie with really good 2-second doodles. reminds me of mario kart for some reason. sped up and remixes a bunch of off the hook songs. i like it. hype 9/10
Last Battle Opening - like the opening of a splatfest battle but more wavy and metro-like. turf war 8/10
Fly Octo Fly - this ones super super good. i mean, a song repeating the victory motif but the scale and stakes are much larger? sign me up yo! the live versions of this are especially nice. hyperbombs 10/10
Ebb & Flow (Octo) - marina’s almost-solo but hurried to reflect the desperate stakes of the one minute left. beautiful opening, love the background music. culimination 9/10
Conclusion - pearl booyahs the statue to death. i like the fast beats that fade into ebb & flow a lot actually. but it sounds more magical and assured somehow... also that key change right at the end is just fab. killer wail 88/10
Grand Finale - this one reuses ebb & flow and lemme just say- its so beautiful to hear this choir. harmonious 9/10
Into the Light - the most beautiful, ballad-like one. i like it a lot. pearl and marina are singing more softly. it recalls color pulse really nicely too. emotion and reflection 10/10
#$@%* Dudes Be #$@%* Sleepin - very metal. much drum and guitar also really censored. it seems like she broke the speakers at the end. emo phase 5/10
Ebb & Fly (Demo) - marinas solo except shes actually soloing. i like the keyboard a lot. she sounds really happy. theres the mission complete jingle from story mode at the end. freedom 7/10
Blitz It! (Chip Damage) - when was this song ever played??? a battle theme?? its very... chirpy. sounds like an undertale song, almost. i like it! mystery 9/10
Wave Prism (Battery Full) - again. when did we hear this? is there a secret secret boss???? still very 8bit, very upbeat. like a mario kart track. but better. blue shell 8/10
thats all. im tired gn hi, so i went back to this and realized there’s a song that i know is played in the expansion but somehow either wasn’t on the list or i missed it? so
39. Calamari Inkantation (Inner Agent 3) - oh heck yeah, this song. i love the opening- it really sounds like agent 3 spinning around to face u then jumping down. it also sounds like it flows more than the original, but i may be misremembering. a bit echoey? memory 10/10
#not story mode#song opinions#splatoon 2#octo expansion#this may seem random#i was really tired but at the same time#full of adrenaline to do this#you get me?

The Best of 2005–2013 is a greatest hits album by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, released by the band's former label, Warner Music Group, on December 2, 2016. The album covers songs from all of the band's albums released under Warner Bros., from City of Evil to Hail to the King, including covers and one-off singles released in between.(1) The band members themselves have not endorsed or supported this album due to it being released without their consent, knowledge or involvement. The album has since been removed from digital streaming services.
Background(edit)
In early 2016, Avenged Sevenfold left Warner Bros. for Capitol Records, resulting in a legal battle between the record label and the band.(2) In response to the allegedly-leaked release date of the band's seventh album, falsely leaked and titled Voltaic Oceans with a December 9 release date by Chris Jericho over Instagram, Warner Bros. announced The Best of 2005–2013, to be released one week prior to the leaked release date, on December 2. However, the band officially surprise-released the album as The Stage on October 28, to which the label quickly changed the release date to capitalize on traffic, but reverted to its December 2 release.
Avenged Sevenfold Full Song List
Singer M. Shadows has openly expressed disdain about the release of the greatest hits album without the band's knowledge, stating 'You’re gonna try to put this record out right before our new record just to undercut us and try to confuse the casual fan, like, 'Is this the new record? Or is that the new record?' Or parents buying stuff for Christmas. So it's just really childish.'(3)

A song about the people yearning to bring back and greet the coming Christian king to rule in the name of God's son Jesus Christ in the near future. In order to save our Western society that has been polluted and corrupted by the ungodly intellectual illuminated illuminaries, working with the old Bolshevik communist, Zionist Nazi slave driven mentality, that has been used on us with the throat cutters now, to create and accomplish their agenda for the one world order rule, who calls themselves the globalists. That are against hailing to the coming of the king, like they have always been, and now who likes for us to be against the Christian 'czar' Vladimir Putin that are demonizing him like he is the new Hitler to scapegoat for war, and don't want to be surfing themselves to 'Hail To The King' and serve God.

The song is not about a tyrant king. Because even after the the rebellion of the people in that interpretation happens they still hail to the king. I think the song is about the second comming of the messiah. Every interpretation I have come across that says otherwise leaves out the part about being born again but it's to late to atone. There are so many other correlations to be made with him being referred to as the king, the one, standing in the sun or the light. The bad has references to god in there songs all the time this is no different.

It's a long shot but I think of this song as the rein of Hitler. 'Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head' Those who opposed Hitler were suppressed in violent ways. This song is clearly about a tyrant king who suppressed opposition. It's an idea, but it's probably not about him especially coming from a band like this.

My interpretation is like others have said, about a tyrant king, but the ending shows something dark not sure if it's death or the devil! But the song is badass!

Hail to the King is an occult song. It's referencing Saturn which rules death, decay, slowness, cold, sharpness, rings, winter, grief, solemnity and time. 'Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head' - Saturn is a very serious entity. He doesn't joke or love. As the angel Cassiel who governs Saturn once said, 'I leave love to others.' 'Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid' - Saturn is quiet which is manifest in winter silence for example. So this line is saying respect Saturn and rest in the stillness. 'hildren roam the streets, now orphans of war' - War brings about death. Losing one's parents to war brings mourning and grief. All Saturnian characteristics. 'Bodies hanging in the streets to adore' - Don't fear death, come to terms with it by understanding it's place in life. 'Royal flames will carve a path in chaos' This carving a path could be a reference to the shape of Saturn's knife, the scythe. 'Bringing daylight to the night' This line references bringing attention and action to the night which Saturn rules. 'Death is riding into town with armor,' Pretty clear 'They've come to take all your rights' You can't have rights if you're dead. 'Hail to the king, hail to the one Kneel to the crown, stand in the sun Hail to the king' Saturn is king because he rules time and death. Therefor, let's honor him as king. Also, historically Saturn has always been worshipped and there is even confusion between the Sun and Saturn hence 'Stand in the sun' line. Some believe Saturn was once a sun which undergone a change with cataclysmic consequences on earth. Others believe Saturn always was the planet that the 'sun' referred to. 'Blood is spilt while holding keys to the throne Born again, but it's too late to atone No mercy from the edge of the blade Dare escape and learn the price to be paid' This refers to the inevitability of death and Saturn's influence on our lives. Saturn strikes us with cold, sharp fear. The blade is another reference to the Scythe. Saturn doesn't do love so if you try to escape his grasp, you WILL lose and indeed learn the 'price to be paid' for your arrogance. The rest is pretty clear as well. Hope this helps. This is coming from a magician. Additionally, Saturn worship is seen in wedging RINGS, halos above the heads of saints (a reference to Saturn's rings) and countless other customs. It's deep. This is coming from a magician who evokes spirits. Honoring them in music is definitely an excellent way to reap the benefits of their office.

Ok so i was stuck in a rut for music to listen to while working (working form home man...busy season just gets to ya quicker) and as a follower of this account i thought “lets try out bluegrass! Haddock says its cool, and ive heard a banjo before, see what that does” so i find a version of foggy mountain breakdown and about keeled over when steve martin was in it (Fun fact for the uninformed such as mysef, steve martin plays the banjo lol) and i’m like oh that was fun! So youtube took me to one of those hour long compilations of flatt and scruggs songs and i was like oh that was fun! So i’ve been interspersing some bluegrass into my work playlist (thank you much for the introduction!)
Now the real reason i’m sending this message is because i finally got around to watching a video of the supposed original 1949 recording of Foggy Mountain Breakdown and
DUDE.
WTF.
ITS GLORIOUS.
Earl Scruggs in his prime is absolutely wild, i see why you keep yacking about him, ITS AMAZING🤩🤩🤩 like just, the energy and just like, idk man its simultaneously relaxing and energizing. How does that even work?? I dont know lol but yeah, thanks for sharing this corner of the music world with us, its been fun😁 lol
Hgnghgngngngngh oh m;y gosh. Oh my gosh. I’m sorry for taking this long to respond, but I want to say, from Day One when I received your message, I was STOKED. Thanks for making my day! I took so long to respond because I was trying to make sure I DIDN’T write too long an essay of excited babbling in return (but at least I should start our conversation, so here we go!).
The original Foggy Mountain Breakdown is so freaktastically good and I would love to write an analysis on why every musical element combines to a perfect finish. For instance, one thing I find perfect about Foggy Mountain Breakdown’s 1949 recording is that this arrangement is like a tense duel: the bass driving forward with repeated notes to add drama, while the banjo and fiddle square off against each other, and the banjo wins the fight (great fiddling by Benny Sims here, of course, too, but the banjo won the fight). That banjo sparkles, man. I want to emphasize all the more that Earl Scruggs in his prime in the late 1940s and early 50s was playing bounds ahead of most others, so just imagine how that would’ve sounded in context where people weren’t used to hearing a three-string banjo like that at all! The fact that seventy years later, after everyone’s figured out tons more techniques for the banjo, after we’ve gotten hundreds of new skilled professional musicians and better recording equipment... we’re still blown away by THIS MUSIC... speaks to how timeless the music is and how alluring Earl’s banjo playing truly is.
Now. I looove what you said about “simultaneously relaxing and energizing.” I feel that too when I listen to Flatt & Scruggs! For the high majority of their repertoire! And for that matter that goes for many first generation bluegrass artists. The reason I draw to first gen is that I find it the perfect combination of down-home heart and technical skill.
They’re performing music with simple lyrics, basic chord progressions, and easy-to-sing-along-with melodies. It’s simple, homey, and familiar there: these are songs we might sing at church, or old folk song recitations, or are just good everyday man songs about everyday human things. So it makes the music relaxing. But at the same time, these are musicians who brought a heightened caliber of technical skill, improvisation, and intensity to the string band format. They understand drive. I forgot where it was I read this, but someone said first gen bluegrass performers didn’t have to do anything more than stand onstage with a serious face and play their music, because their music alone was enough to excite audiences. And there’s truth in that. The music isn’t so rhythmically complicated it takes a music degree or a heavy-concentrating arts lover to parse what’s being played... it’s not inaccessible like that. But it’s SKILLED. The music is improvised with gripping skill, speed, technicality, musicality, heart, and genuine homegrown talent.
And ergo, hearing a man tear through his banjo at eleven notes per second while hitting every note with machine-gun precision, separating melody from background, and adding a whole ton of gripping melodic motion, can’t help but be exciting. For me, a band like Flatt & Scruggs, of which extraordinarily talented instrumentalists like Earl Scruggs, Josh Graves, Benny Martin, and Paul Warren existed, has that perfect match of “whoa” talent and comforting homeliness.
ANYWAY.
If you are still checking out Flatt & Scruggs intermittently as you go about your listening life, but you’re not sure what to hone in on, the first album by Flatt & Scruggs I’d throw at anyone would be Foggy Mountain Jamboree. There’s an extended edition of it released in 2005, I believe, that makes it even better. This album is Flatt & Scruggs from their mid-50s period, and it alternates between some of their best and most well-known instrumentals, with a variety of damn solid and memorable sung tunes, too. It is the perfect representation of what F&S is as a band. For people wanting just instrumental, Foggy Mountain Banjo from 1961 is a godsend album for banjo pickers.
As for my personal favorite period? I’ve got two. For recorded audio, Flatt & Scruggs’s vintage years are my favorite listens. All their Mercury Record releases are spectacular, their early Columbia stuff is GREAT. I listen to it constantly. But I have a huge heart for a specific band lineup that was consistent between the mid 50s to early 60s, I’ve seen a ton of videos of them (DON’T GET ME STARTED ON WHY I LOVE THE VIDEOS), and when I think of Flatt & Scruggs, I think of those six men. Those boys are my quintessential Foggy Mountain Boys. If you want to watch videos, seeing the black and white videos of them are going to be that period, and there’s a ton of personality and charm there because you can tell they all love each other and have a hoot playing with each other.
ANYWAY THAT IS ENOUGH BABBLING FOR NOW. Feel free to chat right back at me! I’ll be here, as you know. XD

ETERNAL FREQUENCY Release Official Music Video for "Parasite"!
Harrisburg, PA based Heavy Rock band ETERNAL FREQUENCY has released the official music video for their new single, “Parasite.” Directed by Eric DiCarlo, the single was produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland of Atrium Audio.
youtube
“Our new single, ‘Parasite,’ is our favorite release thus far. It’s something completely different than anything we have ever done before. It’s edgy, it’s ballsy, it’s just a banger. Simple as that! The meaning of “Parasite” is to stand up for yourself and to relieve yourself of the poison infecting your life from outside forces. You control you, and you alone. No one has the power to manipulate or bring you down. We all fall victim to letting toxicity eat us alive, this song is about finding that antidote within yourself to survive.”
Download / Stream “Parasite” Online: iTunes | Spotify | Amazon | Googleplay
“Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “Kickstart My Heart”, “We Will Rock You” “Pour Some Sugar On Me”, “Dont Stop Believing”. Let’s face it. Everyone is a sucker for those rock anthems. They brought people together to where for about three and half minutes, everyone in the crowd is connected to one another. An experience that will never be forgotten for those in that audience. It also inspires the future of music and generations to come and if you are reading this bio you should know by now where this is going. That’s right. Those anthems helped shape Eternal Frequencys sound.
Eternal Frequency is a young, up and coming band hailing from Harrisburg Pennsylvania who use anthemic rock and roll as their muse to formulate a fresh, modern, hard rock sound of their own. In just under 2 years of being a band they have managed to release several singles including “Down”, “Fire”, “Feel This Way”, “Temptations” and their very popular Pink cover of “Sober” to the masses and have been reaping nothing but positive energy from those that hear them. They have accrued a very strong following in the Pennsylvania area and plan on covering as much ground on this planet as they can.
Accompanying the drive and power of their songs, they also bring a strong, energetic stage presence with them when they perform live. “The biggest test to us is to deliver to our fans an experience that they will never forget. We should be complimenting what we create. Not butchering it. If you cant deliver, you have no business in this business” says Emelle. The Front Woman of Eternal Frequency. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with established artists such as Of Mice and Men, Smile Empty Soul, Vixen, and Sponge to name a few.
Eternal Frequency is currently writing and recording new material with the Grammy nominated producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak of Atrium Audio. They will be launching new material in February of 2020 followed by a slew of tour dates to follow.
As far as accomplishments go remember when I said they have only been a band for just under 2 years? Well this January they have managed to land 4 nominations for the 2020 annual Central Pennsylvania Music Awards (CPMA’s) including Best New Artist, Album Of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Vocalist. They took the award home for Best New Artist/Band. Not a bad preface to the new year right?
2020 is Eternal Frequency’s year, so if you have yet to know the name……… wait. They’re coming.

Jbl Tws-T8 HD Audio Sound Wireless Headphone With Mic Above 5 hours music time Never miss a beat. Never miss a call. Enjoy wireless music and answer phone calls in crystal clear stereo sound with this Bluetooth Headset.
It connects easily to your mobile phones, tablets, iPods or other supported devices using Bluetooth Technology and enables you to stream hi-quality stereo music. You can even make calls wirelessly using the in-built omnidirectional mic. Its futuristic design makes you stylish and comfortable. Crystal Clear
Before I tell you about the music experience, you shouldn’t forget that it costs just Rs. 1399. Also, don’t expect it to offer the same experience as in wired earphones of this price segment.
The build quality of the earphones is impressive. It also comes with an official IPX4 rating, so it can survive the splash of water and sweat. It is also really light in weight and weighs just 13.6 grabs. So, it is comfortable for long usage.
Jbl Tws-T8 HD Audio Sound Wireless Headphone With Mic When you turn it on or off, it also plays voice notification to let you know if it is turned on or off. For pairing it with a new device, you need to understand one important thing. When you turn it on, you need to keep pressing the power button until the LED notification starts blinking fast. This puts the earphone in the pairing mode and voice notification says “Pairing mode”.
When it comes to sound clarity, it impresses. I tested it with different kinds of tracks and it was good. It is loud, so the noise of the surrounding will not affect you when you are using it.
JBL claims the dynamic bass feature that didn’t impress. The bass is average, so it will disappoint you if you love bass-heavy music. The same goes for treble. It means this earphone is not for you if you are looking for good music experience, then you will also have to increase your budget because not many options are there in this price segment. I find it good considering the price
It supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with Bluetooth profiles like HFP, A2DP, HSP, and AVRCP. As soon as you turn it on, it instantly connects to the phone it was already paired if Phone’s Bluetooth is on. It also works fine under the Bluetooth’s operating range.
As it has a microphone, you can use it for hands-free calls. Just press the center button to accept the call and start talking. The microphone performs well and it captures your proper voice
It packs 250 mAh battery and the battery lasts for around 8 hours in regular usage. My usages were mixed with tracks on high and medium sound levels with not many calls. If you will use it on high volume all the time, battery back up will be lower. The battery takes around one and a half-hour in fully charging.
This earphone is good for regular use when you need a Bluetooth earphone for hands-free calls and occasionally listening to music. I don’t recommend it to music freaks, but it is still good enough considering its price.
Precatuionary Measrea;
please do not voilently use this product, also dont squeeze with heavy objects. Keep it away from high temperature and high humidity.
Keep it away from wifi and routers and other high-frequency transmiting devices, this will accept the signal transmission and cause the sound broken and disconnection.
Pleasue use the product in the effective enivornment, and there should be no broken between the bluetooth device and headset.
Pleasue use the qualified charger to charge the charging case.
This product can connected to any enabled bluetooth device.

Essential sound equipment and techniques needed to produce a professional production ✔
TECHNIQUES
techniques to record sound/audio
lets start off with the most simplest and common of the five techniques:
Mics used: Two omnidirectional mics, usually small diaphragm condensers
Positioning: Point both mics toward the instrument, at a distance of a foot, and spaced two feet apart.
When experimenting with this technique, try making adjustments to both the distance of the mics from the instrument, as well as the distance of the mics from each other.
How to mix the signals: The mono signals from each microphone are assigned to the left and right channels of a stereo track to create a sense of width in the recording.
How it should sound: The stereo image is created because the time of arrival at each microphone is slightly staggered. The frequency balance is different as well, which will provide an added level of stereo width.
The downside of A/B stereo recording is that because of the timing offset between each microphone, you will be likely to have issues with phase cancellation when combining the stereo signal to mono.
2. X/Y Stereo Recording
Mics used: Two directional mics, usually small diaphragm condensers
Positioning: at an angle between 90-135 degrees so that their capsules coincide at a single point. The wider the angle, the wider the stereo image.
How to Mix the Signals: (same as A/B stereo recording)
How it should sound: Compared to A/B stereo recording, this technique will have less of a stereo effect. The reason is that since both microphones are positioned at the same point in space, there will be no differences in timing.
The entire stereo effect will be created from the differences in frequency balance. The upside to this is there are no issues with mono phase cancellation either.
3. ORTF Stereo Recording
Mics used: Two directional mics, usually small diaphragm condensers
Positioning: Spread outward at an angle of about 110 degrees, with the capsules spaced 17cm apart.
How to mix the signals: (same as A/B stereo recording)
How it should sound: The technique is basically a combination of the previous two. The microphones are physically spaced apart, like with A/B recording, which will yield a wider stereo image. Then it uses directional mics, like with X/Y recording, so it should pick up less of the ambient room sound.4
4. Blumlein Pair
Mics used: two figure 8 (bi directional) mics
Positioning: (same as X/Y technique)
How to mix the signals: (same as X/Y technique)
How it should sound: Compared to the X/Y technique, the Blumlein Pair technique captures a greater portion of the room sound and adds a bit more ambience to the stereo image, thanks to the use of the figure 8 mics.
5. Mid/Side Stereo Recording
Mics used: One small diaphragm condenser mic – either cardioid OR omnidirectional.
One large diaphragm condenser mic – MUST BE FIGURE 8
Positioning: The figure 8 mic is placed sideways at a 90 degree angle from the instrument. This mic will record sound on both sides and will function as the “side” in the term mid/side.
The other mic is positioned on top or below the figure 8 mic, and is pointed directly toward the instrument. It will function as the “mid” in the term mid/side.
How to mix the signals: This part is complicated. Follow the steps carefully.
Duplicate the “side” channel
Reverse the polarity of the duplicated channel
Combine the two side channels onto one stereo track
Mix in the mid channel with stereo side channels to adjust the width. The greater level of the sides compared to the mid, the greater the stereo width.
How it should sound: Mid side recording may be complicated, but it offers all the advantages of the other 3 techniques, without the downsides.
It offers the added stereo width of the A/B technique
It offers the mono compatibility of the X/Y technique
And it allows you (if you want) to increase the room ambiance to something resembling the Blumlein Pair techniques.
When Mono is More Appropriate than Stereo
While stereo recording applied in the right situations can improve the quality and interest of your mixes by leaps and bounds, there are some situations when it is simply not appropriate.
Certain instruments that you record will sound better in mono almost 100 percent of the time.
And here are the most common 4:
Lead Vocals – which is expected to be located at center stage. For that reason, it is typically recorded in mono.
Snare Drum – which is also expected to be at center stage. It would sound quite odd if it was located off to one side of the stereo image.
Kick Drum – which should be recorded in mono because its heavy low frequency content requires a lot of power to reproduce on speakers. In order to get the maximum output from the mix, it’s best that the work be shared equally by both the left and right channels.
Bass – which is also made up mainly of low frequencies so it generally works better in mono as well. Another reason for this rule is that our ears are not good at obtaining directional information from low frequencies, so it makes little sense to create a stereo image for any low frequency instrument.
heads up. i would advice you to explore in these techniques, try them out and see whats suitable for YOU.
as for recording and musical instruments, dont buy the most good looking ones, buy the ones with good quality and material.
goodluck.

Agilenano - News: The Best Audio Equipment of 2019
CGMagazine The Best Audio Equipment of 2019
With the advent of new technologies such as smart assistants, Wi-Fi speakers and more advanced Bluetooth headsets, the audio landscape has gotten much more interesting in recent years.
It seems everyone is looking to jump into the space, offering an exciting and diverse series of products all looking to snag your holiday dollars. From Sonos, to Amazon, there are countless devices that look to play your music while at home, or even on the go. With so many options, its challenging to decide which devices are the right ones to suit your needs.
This is where CGM comes into the picture. We have taken the time to sort through all the products currently on the market and find the best and most powerful ones to suit your audio listening needs. As always, CGMagazine only endorses products we have tested, so there always can be a piece of gear that while amazing, has not made it into our office for review.
Sonos Move
The Sonos Move carries forward years of technology and refinement and packages it into a relatively convenient, easy to understand device. The addition of a 10-hour battery, Bluetooth, and easy charging makes the Move one of the most exciting and most versatile devices Sonos has released in a long while.
Sonos has spent years developing the Move, and from the sound quality to the design, this effort and attention to detail is seen throughout the device. It sounds good and can take the punishment needed to be a speaker on the go. From drops of rain to general wear and tear, the Sonos Move is built to last.
Sonos set out to make the ideal Wi-Fi portable speaker, and they succeeded with the Move. This is a testament to the quality and time Sonos spends on their products, building devices that both last and sound great. While not for everyone, if you are already a part of the Sonos ecosystem and are in the market for a new speaker, look no further than the Sonos Move.
You can purchase the Sonos Move for $499.99 at Bestbuy or directly from Sonos.
Echo Studio
With the Echo Studio, Amazon is finally admitting good enough no longer cuts it within smart speakers. Amazon was one of the first on the smart speaker scene with the original Amazon Echo. Now, years and countless Echo based products later, Amazon is finally offering an option that competes against the likes of Sonos or the higher end range of Google and Apple smart speaker entries. While it is a more costly option, the Echo Studio offers tremendous value for the price, ushering in a truly fantastic sounding speaker, that also happens to be equipped with Alexa.
Sitting at the top of the Echo Studio is a 55mm mid-range speaker, that utilizes the cut-out to maximize bass output while playing heavier songs. There are three 55mm mid-range speakers in the Echo Studio, one faces up, while the other two act as left and right. To push the audio forward, Amazon has a single 25mm tweeter. If that were not enough, the Echo Studio also features a 133mm downward-facing woofer to ensure all the songs have the impact the original creators intended.
Amazon has done a fantastic job building a high end for its echo line, and the Studio stands as one of the best speakers you can get for sub $300 CAD. While I hope Amazon improves on the inputs if they iterate on the Studio next year, as it stands now, the Echo Studio is a great value and an all-around fantastic sounding speaker.
You can buy the Echo Studio from Amazon for $259.99.
Lucid Sound LS41 Headset
Times have changed since then as headsets have entered the luxury sphere, with pricier entry points and more features cropping up on the regular. Enter Lucid Sound, an emerging headset maker whose goal is to fit right into this luxury sphere. While they havent been around for very long, their new LS41 flagship headset is a triumph that very much puts them on the map with crisp sound quality, comfortable design, and intuitive features.
The LS41s sport 7.1 DTS Headphone:X Surround Sound that manages to bring an impressive layer of immersion to gaming. While playing, I regularly noticed sound cues that I dont normally hear on my standard headset. As a result, I felt even more immersed in the world of the game, and it made for a truly cinematic sound experience.
The LS41s are rather pricey, clocking in at $200.00 USD, and are no doubt out of many gamers peripheral budgets. That being said, if you do have the money and are interested in a great wireless headset that packs impressive sound quality and comfort then the LS41s are a great choice.
You can buy the Lucid Sound LS41 from Amazon for $259.99.
Sonos Ikea Symfonisk
When you think of high-end wifi audio, you dont tend to think of Ikea, yet in a recent partnership with Sonos, they are looking to change that. The Symfonisk is a result of that partnership, a simple, yet exciting bookshelf speaker that sounds good, and brings with it all the power of Sonos, only a bit cheaper, and with that special Ikea style.
At first glance, it may be hard to imagine this speaker holds the power of Sonos behind it. It looks very Ikea, with simple lines, and all fabric covering. But once you plug it in, and set it up, things change. The IKEA Symfonisk sounds fantastic far better than the $149.00 CAD pricetag would suggest it should. It would be hard to compare it to the Sonos One, although for most people it has a similar sound profile. It is powerful and elegant in design, making it an ideal addition, especially if you want to avoid the tech, smart home house look.
Sound-wise, the IKEA Symfonisk has a bold, full-bodied sound that will more than fill most rooms. And while the balance may be a bit heavy on the treble, overall, the IKEA Symfonisk sounds good and strikes a good balance for most audio setups, especially with some basic tweaking to the EQ.
For the price, the IKEA Symfonisk makes a fantastic addition to the Sonos family of products. It looks good, sounds fantastic, and will fit into most living spaces with ease. While it may not have the sound profile of some of the higher-end Sonos range, it more than makes up for that in price and style. It is a great speaker and a great gift for anyone looking to jump into wifi audio this holiday.
You can purchase the IKEA Symfonisk at Ikea starting at $149.00 CAD.
Astro A50 Headset + Base Station
For those unfamiliar, the Astro A50 are a pair of premium $399.99 CAD headphones that are equipped with a flip-down microphone and a base charging station. There are two models: PlayStation 4/PC and Xbox One/PC, with a switch on the headphones themselves that determines which of the available two the headset will interface with. Built by ASTRO Gaming, these are meant to be top-quality gaming headphones.
The charging station serves as the A50s anchor and link to your device of choice. It can smoothly hook up to a PC with a USB cable, and can be attached to either a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One (we are reviewing the PS4 model) with a slightly more involved, but well explained and quick setup process using an optical cable. The base must be plugged into a device, otherwise the headphones will not work. You have to commit to a location.
The Astro A50 headphones are a perfect fit for gaming. These headphones have good sound, a convenient wireless design, and a comfortable fit you can wear for long gaming sessions without any fatigue. They have a clear and reliable microphone, a good battery life with power saving features (annoying as they are), and an excellent sound for both gaming and listening to music. For gaming, and for stationary activities like watching shows or movies, these headphones are worth their asking price.
You can by the Astro A50 at Bestbuy or Amazon for $299.99 CAD.
Creative Outlier Air
Ever since the 3.5mm headphone jack became a rare commodity, the race to build the best possible Bluetooth headset has been on. Everyone from Razer, Samsung to Apple have thrown their hat into the ring, offering a wide range of options, all with advantages and disadvantages. Now Creative Labs, the company behind some of the best sound cards of the 90s is stepping in, with their new Outlier Air. This small sport wireless headset promises sweat-resistance, in-ear controls, and hours worth of battery while on the go, all for $69.99 USD. While not the best available, for the price, the Outlier Air is hard to resist.
Built for consumers looking to be free of wires, the Outlier Air offers an easy design and concept. They manage a fantastic battery, in headphones and with the case, meaning you will have little to worry about while on the go or working out. The IPX5 certification means sweat, minor water spillage, or even the sporadic downpour should be no issue, at least were the headphones are concerned.
While the Outlier Air may not be the best headphones on the market, they offer an amazing value for money proposition. The Outlier Air are comfortable, affordable and is packed with features that should satisfy even the most discerning buyers. While they dont have the polish or isolation seen in other brands, for the cost, the Outlier Air is a must-buy for anyone looking to go wireless.
You can buy the Creative Outlier Air on Creative for 74.99 USD.
Jaybird Tarah Pro Bluetooth Headphones
The Jaybird Tarah Pro are headphones built for the runners, athletes and fitness nuts out there. They are solidly built, corded headphones that feel good and sound great. While not true wireless headphones, for the people these headphones are built for, that is a bonus there is little chance of dropping and losing a headphone while on the go.
The Jaybird Tarah Pro are a good balance between utility and craftsmanship. They feel comfortable when worn and look good up close. There was clearly a lot of time and effort to build a Bluetooth headset that can withstand an active lifestyle and still look stylish while doing so. They fit comfortably even when using them over long periods or while working out or being active.
The Jaybird Tarah Pro charge quickly, are easy to get setup, and most importantly, sound great. Often sport headphones put so much attention into making them rugged or able to withstand water that audio is an afterthought. Thankfully, thats not the case here. Audio feels natural, allowing the music or spoken audio to shine even though Bluetooth audio compression. From electronic, vocal, to instrumental, everything sounded good, with no aspect of the audio greatly overpowering a piece of music.
The Jaybird Tarah Pro are not the highest end bluetooth headphones you can buy, but they are some of the most well rounded, most well equipped sports headphones we have ever tested. They sound good, are comfortable to use, and are just plain nice to look at. If you are looking to a gift for the indoor or outdoor athlete in your life, look no further than The Jaybird Tarah Pro. They will make any fitness enthusiasts very happy.
You can buy the Jaybird Tarah Pro for $199.99 at Bestbuy or Amazon
Amazon Echo Dot with Clock
In a modern world where we are constantly surrounded by smart speakers and devices, the concept to use that power to ask the time seems silly. According to Amazon, one of the most asked questions of Alexa is the time, so it makes sense that at least one of their devices would come with a clock built-in. Enter the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock, a simple addition to an already great device that somehow makes it infinitely more useful to people.
This new $59.99 USD smart speaker, places an LED digital clock in front of the already fantastic design of the Echo Dot. It seems like a no brainer for the little device, and it works wonderfully. With this new addition of a digital display, the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock also has a few other tricks under its sleeve to use this new readout.
Ultimately, Amazon has added a great new feature to an already great device. Do I feel it is a game-changer for the echo range of products? No, but what it does do is give a quality of life improvement that was much needed. If you are looking to pick up a gift, or want to enter the world of smart speakers, the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock is a great starting point. It is simple, inexpensive, and a great addition to the range and a must-buy for anyone looking for an inexpensive smart speaker.
You can buy the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock from Amazon for $59.99.

Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 IPX7 Waterproof 16 Hours Playtime Bluetooth Headphones, with Magnetic Connection, Sports Earphones f...https://amzn.to/3lN0Z5K #HeadPhone #EarBuds #HandsFree https://amzn.to/3lN0Z5K - Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 IPX7 Waterproof 16 Hours Playtime Bluetooth Headphones, with Magnetic Connection, Sports Earphones f... ***Update*** While my original review is still accurate, Ive added a star for excellent customer service. They offered a replacement and upgrade. Based on that, Id HIGHLY recommend you purchase the Boltune BT-BH020. The noise issues is solved and the sound quality is significantly better. I also felt like they had a closer fit similar to my old bose soundsport pair. They are between $40-$50, but Id say they are definitely worth it.Old review for the $25 pair of bluetooth headphones:Sound quality is muddy and the static noise of the headphones is noticeable. In fairness, I switched from an old wired Bose soundsport set. So I’m comparing $25 range to $100+ range... plus Bluetooth to wired. These are a good budget pair to get you by (since Bluetooth is becoming more and more required for devices) while saving for something with better audio quality. Had my doubts at first cause being Bluetooth usely anything with sound isnt that great.. But these blew my mind so far! The sound is the same as my 3.5mm earbuds if not better, And at first i thought they would be uncomfortable cause the weight of the batterys long term but nope had them on all day gaming with them on and they dont bother me:)The battery so far seems to last really good i used them from 3pm and now its going on 3am and they still going! Also the battery was already charge right out of the box:)Noise cancellation also is pretty dam good you can still hear stuff around you but when music is playing half way and up you hardy can hear anything.Mic i havent used much but when i tested it with voice recorder on windows my voice was really clear so im sure they be fine for everything else which im planing to use while i game when i need a mic.I always wanted wireless earbuds but just couldnt find the right pair to buy but these fit the job! Also play around with the tips cause i find for my ears the bigger tips gives the best sound and also gives the bass i like. A little heavy keeps falling out of my ear when I am Talking on the phone. This was the 1st review that i wrote. But Boltune reached out to me, and apologized to me for the issues I was having. They wanted to make it up to me. So the offered me a new pair of headphones plus anf upgrade to wireless pair of BT-BH020 EAR BUDS. The new ear buds sounds great and they stay in my ear, not like the 1st pair. Thank you for standing behind your product. I will be buying from you in the future. I recently bought these headphones. It came with 8 additional earbuds and one travel bag.I bought it to handle my phone calls or listen to audiobooks while working out or doing errands around the home. It does the job in excellent way. It fits well, never fall off my ears while walking. Didn’t try it for running yet. I also used it for listening to some relaxing music when meditating, the noise canceling quality is good and it helps to cancel out surrounding noises. But the sound quality of my headphones are a little bit off there is a static sound in headphones, it’s not awful but it can bother you if you are trying to meditate. The ear "hook" is fixed to the ear bud (most competitors allow the hook to rotate around the bud). This provides a much more secure fit with 3 solid points of contact with the ear - the rubber tip in the ear canal; the wire hanging down and the hook locked to the rear of the outer ear. I suppose the fixed nature of this may be a problem for fit for some, but I found this design far superior to the rotatable hook design These headphones are great. The Bluetooth is reliable and stays connected, they are overall sleek and light, the charge lasts long, the sound quality is very good, and they stay placed in the ears well, even while running. From my experience, the key component to allowing the headphones to stay in the ear while running are the rubber parts that hook into the upper area of the ear. I normally have trouble with earbuds – the shape of my ear canals just isn’t great for their design, and they often fall out easily which makes it hard to run. But these stick wonderfully. Also, they sound great – nice even frequency response with maybe a little boost in the lo... by Shopping Reviews

Context and Challenges (creative audio formative submission)
Over the past few weeks, the challenge I have been faced with regarding the moonshine EP is the implementation of the multi theme concept (western/sci-fi). Reflexively, the the types of sounds that come to mind regarding sci-fi themes are slow pads and synths falling in line with many popular portrayals of the aesthetic. However, while I feel like I pretty much have the western theme sorted on the guitar, I have been puzzled by how to compliment my recordings with the types of sci-fi sounds I mentioned. While i’m confident that I can get them to work eventually, they often contradict each other and its quite tedious to have to constantly record samples separately to my DAW and then import/engineer them in order to accomplish basic conceptual testing. Having said this, working with synthesizers is definitely my weak spot when it comes to producing and so I have been looking into other ways to accomplish my goal.
During our in class critique session, Clint mentioned to me that the original theme behind Star Wars was essentially the wild west in space. However much of the musical theme of star wars is the famous John Williams orchestral score rather than being dominated by slow sci-fi pads etc. This played on a suspicion that I have had throughout the development of my Idea for Moonshine that traditional portrayals of sci-fi themes don’t necessarily have to be included in my music in order to make it work aesthetically. In fact, as iv’e mentioned in the past on Tumblr, i’m quite a believer in this methodology. Another quick example is a famous anime cartoon called Cowboy Bebop which has a similar wild west-space theme but has used an amazing Jazz based score for its musical expression.
youtube
It’s crossed my mind to just play my guitar for my project and exclude the idea for sci-fi synths, however then the space theme and therefore the basis of the EP becomes irrelevant because it could be just a plain western theme at that point. Because Iv’e already said that this is what I was doing, I don’t want to be perceived as a lazy reneger - But at the same time, I really dont want to be tied down to a pre-established theme. From a passion perspective, all I want to do is have the freedom to go with the flow in this (I don’t think this is an issue, Clint’s pretty cool like that). But that doesn’t mean I cant make it creative...
This led me to experimentation. As I mentioned in my previous blog, I am using Guitar Rig 5 for my recordings which comes with a multitude of cool and interesting effects and amplifiers. I started to play around and found that using preset builds designed for heavy solo’s, I can create interesting noises by tapping on the side of the guitar while barring the strings to adjust pitch. I also played around with some soft recordings and neck slides.
https://soundcloud.com/randlessounds/sets/experimental-recordings
Taking on board the methodology of Star Wars and Cowboy Bebop, completely contrary to my early conceptualization I have created the basis for a Drum and Bass track (as iv’e been listening to a lot of it lately) for experimental purposes. My intention is to experiment with guitar samplings in this track in the future and see where that goes. Production-wise, I sampled and sped up an old beat by James Brown (common practice in DnB production) to 170 bmp, worked through a variety kicks snares, shakers and high hats and selected one each. Created a basic place-holder white noise riser on an oscillator and added reverb and delay to a cowbell sample. Just as examples, I have exported two versions one with some basic piano chords and sub bass I made, and the other with a syth bass to display some ideas of the songs future development.
Piano - https://soundcloud.com/randlessounds/dnb-concept
Bass - https://soundcloud.com/randlessounds/dnb-concept-2
The other alternative is the original idea to expand on these recordings I made for the critique. They look a while to create and I had a lot of fun playing them so It might be a shame not to use them.
https://soundcloud.com/randlessounds/sets/creative-audio-critique-recordings
I realize that aside from all of this, the amount of actual musical composition I have made isn’t huge. This is partly due to the fact that I’m confident I can assemble what I need in a fairly short time frame once I know what I’m doing - I’m doing an audio based project for studio this semester and so am constantly engaging musically in conceptualization and experimentation. Although I am extremely wary of “double dipping” work across papers, inevitably some of my thoughts and ideas cross streams. However, being overconfident often leads to disaster and so I without distractions from other things during the mid semester break, I plan on putting in some solid hours for creative audio and start actually assembling my EP.
Going forward my priorities are...
- Make a decision on concept
- Record samples
- Assemble/experiment in DAW
- Work on some art and branding for the EP.
I plan to touch on all of these during the break and leave plenty of room for polishing as the paper draws to an end.

Pros: Prices was very reasonable. closeout sale, I think, but there is a Transport that I think is comparable or better. Bought one for me and one for a customer. We both really like the ease of use and the availability of the keyboard when we want to do more detailed typing. michael kors outlet online keyboard base as a stand is nice feature.
Cons: I do not use this for reading in bed. probably more information that you want to know but it really pretty heavy to hold up as a conventional michael kors handbags clearance tablet. I will sit in a chair or on the couch and use it on my lap or sitting at the table while I eat breakfast to read the news.
Other Thoughts: It just narrow enough to thumb type when held in a vertical position. I also got it to use on my frequent long bike rides. While the SL101 is a tad heavier, its wonderful, solid materials. The charging cord is much longer than the TF101 None yet. Newegg was fast, polite and ill se them again as well as recommend them. After checking out multiple tablets i decided on this one. This tablet is great in my opinion. It is snappy and very responsive to your touches. I recommend upgrading right away to 4.0 ICS. The screen is awesome, very bright and vivid colors and text. The battery life is good, with regular use such as surfing the web, pandora running reading PDF books or michael kors clearance files my wife will use it for hours and still have plenty of battery life left for the next day. The design is quality as ASUS makes good It feels strong, i dont know why people complain its heavy. Hello its got a little slide out keyboard that mostly all other tablets dont, unless you buy additional keyboard docks that will make another tablet heavier than the Eee Pad Slider. The keyboard takes some getting use to but its a wonder to use when browsing and e mails. I recommend using google chrome browser. I found that its a bit faster then stk
Cons: None as of yet. We have had it for almost a month now and its been working perfectly. I guess the charge cord could be a little longer and also the speakers could be a little louder but its not a big deal. The price is good, its not an ipad or a top of the line samsung but IMO it performs just michael kors canada sale as well.
Other Thoughts: Ohhh i forgot to mention and ran out of space in the PRO sections. But this tablet has a standard size USB 2.0 port something michael kors handbags outlet online that alot of tablets fail to have. The USB port makes it super easy to transfer files.
Did you?
Pros: I bought this unit two months ago to replace my old 17 laptop. It definitely does what I wanted it to do. It light and the charger isn huge like you see for laptops. The charger is smaller than an iPad charger. The battery life on this unit is amazing. I can use it for 5 straight hours of class, surfing the web, and Pandora and I will have plenty of battery life. The keyboard takes a little getting used to but it quite efficient. I can easily take notes in class, and I use the Polaris Office along with Google Drive to organize my homework and things. I upgraded it right away to ICS 4.0.3 which looks and feels amazing. The gaming is fun as well. The speakers are sufficient but not extremely loud. The camera works well for Skype. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a lightweight unit that operates well in a school environment.
Cons: The cons are subtle. The very first thing I noticed was the way that the unit slides out of the tablet form into the keyboard. I feel that in a few months, it may not snap into form. It seems like the air piston in the back will wear out. Also, the screen unlock button and the volume buttons are not exactly convenient to michael kors online outlet get to on the left hand bottom side. They too close together. This doesn matter very much to me but I thought I would make it known The Tegra 2 processors tend to lag when playing certain high graphic games. I didn buy this unit for gaming so it didn concern me but some users michael kors canada outlet may want the higher quality processors.
Pros: Item is snappy, responsive, sufficiently fast, and feels pretty solid. The craftsmanship isn superb, but it is pretty darn good.
I updated to Android 4.0.3 right away read that Jelly Bean might not be far behind from the date this is posted and hopefully it help smooth out performance. It doesn seem to have any performance issues with Asus minimal skinning.
The battery life is also acceptable, I get roughly 6 8 hours of use. on, low brightness, GPS off, general browsing and games mostly keyboard isn fantastic seem to miss a space about 40 of the time but it feels okay. The more I use the keyboard, the better it seems to be. I think it needs to be in Perhaps it muscle memory.
The unit is portable. The weight isn any issue for me, I normally use it at school and I leave it in my backpack.
