-as soon as he lays eyes on you, he sighs.

-"what did you do this time?"

-how did he, a skeleton monster who had gone most of his life without so much as seeing a human, know more about human anatomy than a fully grown human adult?

-"get yourself looking decent. we are visiting the hospital to get you proper treatment."

-you knew the look he was giving you. he wanted to know what happened.

-"i tripped a few days ago and my ankle started swelling. nothing major. it's just a little sore."

-"mmm. i'm sure. you have five minutes, then i'm taking you to a doctor," he said as he laid on the couch beside you.

-"no, Paps, there's really no need-" you were interupted by snoring. but you knew that didn't mean you were off the hook. he would be awake in five minutes EXACTLY, whether you were ready to go or not.

-ice pack means something's wrong, because he doesn't see food around, but his skull injury makes figuring anything else out difficult.

-ice pack. . . on your ankle. . .

-it doesn't matter what's wrong. he just knows something is. so, he comforts you! in the only way he knows how!

-which is a BONE-CRUSHING hug.

-and because you're sitting, and he's standing over you, leaning down to hug you, it's a very awkward angle. leading to a lot of bones jabbing into uncomfortable places.

-you know you can't really do anything to get him off of you, so you just wait it out.

-"i'm alright, Sans. it isn't anything major. i'm about to go to a doctor!"

-he was going to tell you to anyway. you just got that part out of the way.

-his time in the underground under Undyne's rule made him very paranoid about the health of those he loves, so no matter how big the injury, you MUST see a doctor.

-it's not up for debate.

-he drives you because he doesn't want you to have to put any more strain on your ankle.

Hey yo I agree with ya on the “Flora thing”, but I also acknowledge the weirdness of how Augustus basically said “whoever can solve this can marry my young adult daughter”. The resolution where Flora gets to choose WHAT TO DO WITH HER OWN FUCKING INHERITANCE in CV was a nice way to resolve this but ALSO I appreciate that the localization said “that’s fucked up augustus” and just retconned in the “she needs a gusrian that cares for her and the puzzles (◡‿◡✿)” instead of “if ya make her smile ya can marry her and get her inheritance that way” between layton and flora because that might cause people to think “yo that’s fucked up augustus” and shatter whatever goodwill you could have for the dead dad… man i cant wait for the steampunk punky game

oh yea for sure, i dont treat the JP versions as gospel or “more canon” than the localizations for that reason, bc that is genuinely such a horrific part of the original CV

i think the localization changing augustus’ message to not be creepy and horrible was definitely the right move, but also in doing so, they kind of made it ambiguous on what exactly flora was to layton, which is what started the widespread misconception that shes a child and that hershel adopted her, not that she was a sheltered young adult that hershel took from the tower to guide and take care of until she adjusted to the real world and found her own way

and you could read that sort of dynamic as parental in the same way you can with luke, but where we currently stand in canon, neither of them are layton’s children, and if lmda truly has been retconned (which i hope it has bc he actually seriously was a terrible dad there) we genuinely dont know what hershel as a father would look like

and that’s why this misconception about flora bothers me, it makes people think that hershel is a terrible father for the way he treats flora. and he DOES treat flora badly during unwound future, no question there, and i hope desperately that gets addressed in nwos

but canonically his treatment of her has nothing to do with hershel being a bad dad or having a parental obligation to her, and everything to do with just, his own flaws as a character, his own selfishness when it comes to him and luke. and this selfishness is something that comes up several times in unwound future, and something i think has a lot of potential for character development going forward

and honestly if you ask me, i think that layton being thrown into a role of a father to luke specifically, who he has seen grow up slowly through his own eyes, perhaps too fast, and who he seems to have a selfish reliance on (as seen in some dialogues in UF) would tell a way more interesting story of layton as a father, then him seeing baby katrielle for 4 seconds, and just being like “cool baby i think ill keep it. thanks luke. you can go now”

So I got a few things right in my tpot 13 predictiom post (i think) but I have been completly wrong with who will be eliminated

The orphans AND the coworkers who didnt know (IM SO SAD) especially the footage found about someone wanting to adopt a kid from the inner orphanage (because that was like, a thing for the workers to do) just to get paperwork that "they are in "testing"" LIKE NOOOOAAAOOO. Theres litterally footage of the kids getting picked off with everyone celebrating "who is leaving today?" WHYYYYE (scene where the player goes into the giant sphere where they had a fake town)

and then again what about the kids/workers who DID KNOW. (Catnap,, THEO) like theo being taken away for trying to escape the orphanage, and then being turned into the cat thang (AND THEN THE CO. MAKING HIM INTO A MARKATEBLE PLUSHIE AND SHOW HAGHSHA)

its so crazy how the prototype teied to help him out when he was a kid, and in return once tunred into some giant gas tank to make the orphans sleep, he became the prototypes "worshipper" (he is standing on two legs worshipping bodies that supposed to look like the prototype)

AND THE PLAYER OMG me and my sister had theories about the player being like a worker or a kid from there and it was kinda confirmed to maybe be BOTH??? INSANE!!! hoe did they escape the happy hour?? Jaune wrong to use the paper people as a mental defense to keep sane as they were people who deserved choice.

Ruby wrong for not admitting her ptsd sighs sooner, as most people are denze and dont notice unless told

Weiss wrong for with holding the details if pennies death( granted she tried to stop this but just delayed it)

While bratty to bring up blake and yang have been too focus on being the bees, she did make a point as even uf they did confess yang should have asked her sister what was up or notice her energy was lower

Blakes fault was trying to jerp everyone calm. You dont keep calm, you freak out get everything out to get calm.

I have mental health issues, so I say these , as I made all the sa4ne mistakes, they did, and it lime wise ended horrible and dark, and the thing about the darkness if you climb out its going to take awhile.

Breaking down each point

Weiss Respected Ruby's right to know what happened to Penny while respecting Jaune's right to defend his action. She made the best decision she could.

Weiss, Blake, and Yang have tried reaching out to Ruby, they knew things were wrong, but Ruby kept pushing them away. They have been pushy to some degree, forcing everyone forward, but none of them are equipped to deal with what Ruby's dealing with.

The Bees deserve to be together. Just because someones fucked up isn't a good reason to not find good things for yourself. Yang raised Ruby and it's high time she got something of her own.

Keeping calm is good, but sometimes things are bad, and you just have to let them be bad for a bit.

I've been in most of their positions, both as the one struggling, the one trying to help the one struggling, and trying to live my life by having not revolve around other's struggles.

Not every decision has to be strictly "Right" or "Wrong." Sometimes it just has to be made, consequences be damned.

Random's Filler Drops - The Canonfell Bros

Well, it's time to make filler drops so i can procrastinate on Alpher longer. as you can tell by the name, today...

Anyways, time to hear my annoying yapping (i got my phd in yapanese instead of english) You see, the fanon interpretations of the fell bros is... disgusting, to say the least. Mainly because of how they assume Fell makes the guys literally ready to kill each other (when canonfell Sans can quite literally WIPE the floor with papyrus, asgore, and undyne when he's pissed off) and also makes the relationship between papyrus and sans... not the greatest. But, canonfell, canonfell, yes, canonfell i forgot i was yapping about that. anyways, cnaonfell (post-edit: i misspelled it but it's funny, so i wont change it) does NOT do that, instead making the brothers just more distant from eachother, considering Papyrus is in the Royal Guard in UF. The canonfell bros are definitely better than the fanonfell bros, seeing as Papyrus and Sans have each others backs, surprisingly. The distance between the brothers is caused specifically by Sans, due to Sand making excuses to not accept help from Papayas. According to the Underfell tumblr (Fella themselves), the relationship is:

Sans to papyrus would be : big brother who feels responsible AND guilty about the outcome of both their lives . He feels useless and can’t bare that he can’t be the one to protect his little brother anymore because he feels like Papyrus doesn’t want him to. Nonetheless he remains distant, but close enough to be there when Papyrus is in serious danger.

Papyrus to sans would be: little brother who became strong enough to be on his own, and somewhat match his older brother. He managed to become who he wanted to be and feels he’s capable of protecting his older brother. He has his own responsibilities to do, so he is often distant from Sans, but still close enough to be there when he’s in serious danger. (that's from the UF tumblr, one of the asks about papayas and sands) Sans also always refers to Papyrus as any sort of word similar to boss, like "jefe", "head honcho", "boss" (ofc), "chief", "commander" (not confirmed), basically anything that means boss. Papyrus also knows NOT to fuck with Sans unless safe to do so, like when Sans is fucking with him, and YES, Papyrus DOES toss Sans across the fucking earth when that happens. Papyrus is also (from my assumption), somewhat protective of Sans, just a little bit, based on a comic of Sans and the chain collar. Time to yap about the comic (sorry). The comic has Papyrus thinking of a plan to restrain Frisk as they travel, while Sans makes a stupid idea. Papyrus finds leash, asks if it belongs to Sans, and Sans says yes. Papyrus says (just assumption on the anger-filled part cause some of it's cut off by papyrus' body and the borders) "OH MY DEAR BROTHER... I KNOW I CAN BE JUDGMENTAL... BUT I AM ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU. YOU CAN TELL ME ANYTHING... NEVER HESITATE TO TELL ME WHEN SOMEONE IS HURTING YOU... Yeah, Papyrus DOES care for Sans, he just isn't completely showing it unless it's something like Sans possibly being "hurt" (i still dont know canonfell Sans HP, and I dont want to disturb fella for it, I only saw somebody saying it was 20 instead of 1), but even if he did get hurt, it's obvious that there wouldn't be a trace of them left on the planet. I bet you even the dust is going to be gone. Bro will ULTRAKILL them faster than Papyrus can react. But yeah, the bros technically still care for each other, but it's not very apparent unless it involves something like Papyrus or Sans getting hurt... OH YEAH AND THEY'RE FIGHTING OVER WHO'S COOLER, BUT IMO, SANS JUST GOT THAT CLEAN-ASS DRIP, BRO IS FUCKIN DRIPPED AS FUC-

I havent even SEEN The Phantom of the Opera (yes i know shame on me, shame on my cow) or Love Never Dies

Observe:

15 years after the events of the TPOTO, Raoul met an untimely, tragic death. In her mourning Christine returns to the places that were important to their journey together as a couple. Including a very cautious trip to her old Opera house. While she is there the Phantom sees and is ecstatic to see her, hoping to make amends after all these years. He stops short in his tracks when he realizes that she is wearing mourning garb, and looks absolutely miserable. Instead of the joyoys greeting he would have originally gone with instead he cautiously approaches to offer her comfort. At first she is scared but he hangs back, not pursuing when she steps away and this brings her a level of comfort. From across the way they catch up, Christine laments about the loss of Raoul. Phantom acknowledges that Raoul was a good man and perfect for her, and that he himself was not a good man back then. She asks what he has been up to and he tells her he has been trying to venture out more, and has found community with other disabled people in the area. He talks about how he has been trying to learn how to be a man like Raoul. (Cue song: a man like him) She bids him farewell and promises to return again to visit. About a week later she does so but when she does she is spotted by the opera director and is begged to come be the lead role in a production. Having not sang since Raouls death, and not sang professionally for several years, she feels ill equipped but does miss the stage. Phantom offers a solution: coach her again to get back up to snuff, no strings attached, no holding her prisoner. She agress if nothing more than to have the company. Over the course of the preparation for and run of her new opera she and the phantom meet and train and over this time, she learns to cope with her loss, and phantom gives her the space she needs to heal. During this time she begins to notice how different the Phantom is from before, and that he really has taken on postivie character traits that Raoul once posessed. She begins to wonder uf she might be developing feelings for him. (Cue "A man like him" reprise) As the opera concludes Christine is offered to be a more permanent presence in the Opera, but she isn't sure because her and Raouls estate is so far away and she would need to get that situated. Phanton encrourages her to do whatever she thinks best, admitting hes enjoyed this time together but she should go where her heart leads her. She takes some time alone to figure it out; and decides she will stay. She sells the estate and buys a home in the city to continue her opera career, and tells the Phantom that she has developed feelings for him and she would be willing to try a courtship. Either the play enders here or theres another sct with a new drama as they navigate this new heslthier relationship and honor Raouls memory. Maybe they get married or maybe its inplied they might in the future idc. Christina starts a charity for the disabled.

Done, there, better.

And before anyone tells me some detail about this is irreconcilable with the canon of the first i dont really care its still better.

continued journal from 5/23/24

started my internship. was expecting another mediocre, mind-draining miami gig but the people are actually quite diverse. a lot of students from UF, some georgia tech, some upenn, emory, even MIT. honestly, i dont know how i ended up in a room with those kind of people. oh wait... maybe bc i may match up to them. i couldve been in their spots as easily as they couldve been in mine. (maybe, thats what i like to hope). no, but seriously, it kind of does something to the self esteem to be surrounded by people who seem to be somewhat driven and smart in their lives. they go to good schools, they got an internship, they have projects and coding experince, things they'll actually do. do i belong in this room? thats the type of question that goes in my head. at the harvard conference, no, i didnt feel like i belonged in that room at all. all those smart asian girls with so much drive and ambition and much more self involved than i am. i am both simple and complex. i dont quite fit into that - but i think i do have a talent; i do have something. i dont know how far it can take me. i guess its as far as i wanna push myself.

i feel my drive to make the film wane, and it makes me sad, because i wanted to do that. i think just the last 3 days have been so draining i havent had mind to do anything else. i tidied up the kitchen at least, im gonna clean my room a bit, and maybe just chill. im at home tomorrow for work and it should be easy stuff so itll be fine.

a strange place im in. i wonder what to do. am i doing right? am i doing wrong? (no, i dont think so). emotions are meh. still not fully happy and clear. still some lingers of the past.

ill be leaving soon enough... but this year has been kinder, so far. maybe because, partially, i made those decisions for myself. yes, i got lucky that i got the dorms; but im the one who applied and sat through an hour of buffering screens when applications opened. yes, i went to italy, it was lovely - but im the one who worked and saved, found the program, applied asap, did everything i could, paid for myself. yes, i had a boyfriend, but i searched an app for a guy who was maybe a little bit of a loser and would probably treat me right - i got flowers and gifts and love for the first time in a while. though i didnt reciprocate it, knowing that was still possible was nice. my brain has already shifted to looking for others but i know its too soon, its only been a month since we broke up. i still think about him but i just realized, probably only once or twice a day. for a boyfriend i just broke up? jesus, thats not a lot. yes i grieved but the lack of it shows me that maybe i was right to end it. am i right for wanting it to start again in the fall? maybe you should just leave that boy alone...

So, i met this german guy in the hostel i was staying and we had a *vibe* from the first moment, it was so obvious that strangers asked us if we're together. And we had sex the second day but now im sad because he is doing erasmus in a city near mine but he obviously wants nothing to do with me because he didn't even follow me back on Instagram and i mean, okay it was just a random hookup but sometimes it gets me how every guy i have sex with wants nothing to do with me after that. And everyday i hear all this stories of people that have long distance relationships and travel to different countries to see their lovers and im like wtf is wrong with me and why im so easy to forget. And how men's brain works because the german guy seemed to really enjoy our hookup and he said multiple times im cute but he didn't want to have sex again the next night. Yeah idk where this is going, i just feel really lonely and like shit and i also kinda miss him cause he was so sweet and i liked his personality. And also, well, even tho it was obvious he liked me, we wouldn't have sex if i didn't do the first move and that's always the case with guys, they never like me *enough* to try for me. I just feel like i ran behind every guy I like, i dont mind trying tbh but i wonder if they take me for granted because I'm so obvious when i like someone.

(uf, not a German guy... just joking, sorry. I had to) oh dear :( I always feel a bit honored when I get anons like these and hope it helped to simply put it out because somedays that really is the best thing to do - put it and let it go. however, I also feel a bit sad that I am probably not the best person to give any good advice here. I get a lot of the things you are talking about, I really do, and I understand those feelings like 'when is it my turn? can things go the right way for me too?' one thing I can't stop repeating to myself is: stop comparing yourself with others. And I don't only mean looks but also situations. Just like everyone has their own face and body we have our own relationships of all different kinds, which are our own. I don't think anyone would actually be even able to switch these with any other person on the planet (and also like it) because they are as individual as we are.

I really hope that you won't feel lonely for a long time. I think it's very brave to do the first move. You seem a lot braver than me. I wish that I would dare that and be less scared of rejection (it's on my to do list... I am trying but it's hard). Personally, I think it's making it easier for everyone involved if the communication is clear. So, look at you, being brave and communicating clearly :) amazing. what the other person decides to do is not in your hands and it also is hard to assume what the other person is actually thinking, going through themselves maybe etc. sometimes it is simply not meant to be something more (I know, sadly). But maybe it was good for something or just somewhen a fun memory to talk about.
