I have multiple reasons. First one being... honestly it would fuck with Danny SOOOO much. It would be torture. It would be worse if Vlad had managed to date either Maddie or Jack sure but his *English teacher*? Yeah that's high up on the list. Imagine looking your English teacher in his eyes and *knowing* his type and his type is Vlad-fucking-Masters, your arch enemy. Danny, a young bisexual trans boy genuinely debates becoming homophobic because of this.

Imagine how FUNNY the fics and/or comics/drawings would be for that. Just Danny dead-eyed staring trying not to die a second death and wondering if he should fatally electrocute himself again.

Okay okay second reason: Honestly? Mr. Lancer fucking DESERVES a billionaire bf to shower him in gifts and money. I say he's an English teacher but I think he's canonically the only fucking teacher in that school except for the coach. Give this man a break. Let him vacation in the Bahamas and do drag performances of Shakespeare plays at night. Please I'm begging you he cares so much for his students and school and he's always treated like shit.

Third reason? I think Lancer would be good for Vlad. Lancer himself is a very down-to-Earth and reasonable man. Sure he has his moments but you can usually see the logic in his actions. Quite frankly Vlad needs someone to look at him and go "bonkers behavior actually. drink some tea with me and do yoga." <- not actually something Lancer would say but you get my point. Sure ClockWork could also do that (and frankly I say polyamory fixes everything) but like. I think the fact that Lancer is a human who is completely (sorta) normal would help Vlad even more in the long run. Also having someone else to feed his family obsession would have him calm down from trying to fuck a married woman

Fourth reason? I think the characters would mesh nicely. Like Vlad's special interest is the Packers and Lancer WAS a cheerleader in highschool. Those two could very well talk football and cheer for the packers together. Both of them also try to be very "hip with the kids" and yes it's for different reasons but imagine them practicing slang on each other and nodding like they did something good. (Their slang gets even worse after dating). Also? Vlad is canonically very smart, building his own portal and a lot of ghost weapon shit. I could also seeing him being very well read and I think Lancer would be relieved to have an intelligent and adult conversation with someone who actually gets what he is saying half the time.

Anyway so I expect fanfic and fanart to made of this ship ASAP, I will contribute with my own of course, and if anyone wants to tag me in it........ 👀 just saying

1. the fact he's trying to get the kids to trust him

2. the fact that he went to BEN first of all people

starting with no. 1, i think he wants something. he so CLEARLY wants something. i don't TRUST THIS MAN he may be HOT but he is UP TO SMTH!!! what i don't know is what he wants from the kids. getting them on his side and trusting him feels like a way of getting more information out of them, and what could he possibly be digging for if not more information on the phantom realm?

Alex was asking Ashlyn about the fact that they all asked for ASL books at the same time and thus must have some way of communicating. i think they must know it has to do with the phantom realm (though they don't know that it's an entire separate dimension i think) and Maverick wants to know more about how they're communicating. with the promise that he will protect them from the rest of the government, which i think might just entail "keeping you for ourselves"

and how does he get the kids to trust them? making himself seem like a good option, and separating himself from "those who put them here." the government. the bad part of the government. and how does he do that?

well that's where we come to no. 2

they have cameras. they can watch the kids and how they're acting. in fact, they've been watching the kids for a while now. if i were to pick anyone to try and talk to to get on my side having observed them from a distance, maybe id pick Taylor or Logan. the others are stubborn or unpredictable in their own ways.

So why Ben?

Maverick is trying to draw several comparisons in Ben's mind, especially with using language like the above and like this:

He's trying to get into Ben's mind and say "Hey. We want the same thing you want: to get rid of this place." The way he calls them a bunch of pigs ALMOST makes me hesitate on thinking he's being insincere, but on the other hand would that phrasing not resonate with a jaded teenage boy who's been in trouble before?

Maverick went to Ben because he saw a way in through Ben. Even though Ben is violent and stubborn (right now. and towards the staff), he recognizes that he can use Ben's past as a way of leveraging himself to a higher status in Ben's mind. Besides, if he can get one of the more stubborn kids to crack first, he's got a much easier way in with the others.

Furthermore, this will lead to more observation. He must know the kids are communicating somehow, he just doesn't know how exactly yet. This part isn't Ben specific, but by talking to one of them, he then gives himself the opportunity to watch the rest more closely for any mention of things he's said to Ben. Evidence that they have some way of talking. A way of figuring out how they're doing so.

Maverick is using Ben's past to manipulate him into trusting him.

aziraphale as elizabeth. wedding dress designer under his pen name A.Z. Fell. (hes an artist as confirmed in s2 and the whole "drawing on napkins" thing elizabeth would do appeals to me immensely)

crowley as nick. owns a vineyard. I NEED HIM TO OWN A VINEYARD SO BAD. shoutout to Old Vines on ao3 for changing me in a fundamental way. he makes wines and he tends to the vines and he is so passionate about it to an abusurdist degree. he yells at his vines when they arent growing right. you already knowwww.

when they meet for the first time, they don’t meet on a boat like in the movie, they actually meet at a wedding party :J crowley was a wine collector, just starting out. he loved offering aziraphale samplings of his most vintage collection out of impulse. (he likes seeing the way aziraphale savors them) (he’s besotted) Wants to own his own vineyard one day. aziraphale, on the other hand, has dreams of becoming a fashion designer of sorts, always drawing ideas on any scraps of paper he can find. his designs are very old fashioned, but thats like… part of the appeal. his work very much reflects who he is, and the people who flock to it understand that.

they enter this kind of… whirlwind relationship, they get married, and then eventually adopt two golden haired blue eyed baby boys. twins. :J warlock and adam.

they break things off because aziraphale leaves... alluding to their recent breakup in season two, the reason he left was because "we both clearly had very different ideas on where our lives were going. so. i packed up and left." (parallel s2 divorce 😋 they don’t know how to talk to each other) (aziraphale throws a book at his head after this argument, like the hairdryer in the movie LOL. it was pride and prejudice. crowley still has it.)

aziraphale leaves with adam. warlock is left with crowley. crowley eventually leaves London because he finds he cant stand being anywhere near Aziraphale (hes just irresistible in that way), and he goes to California where he finally fulfills his dream of owning a vineyard. a nice one on Napa, Northern California.

Aziraphale’s wedding dresses become more and more well known, Adam grows well-adjusted. Same kid you know from the show and book, natural born leader, a good head on his shoulders. (Aziraphale has no idea why Adam is like that, but he is so proud)

Crowley’s vineyard (The Garden Of Eden) grows and grows… Warlock is spoiled rotten, but he does love actually working at the vineyard with Crowley to and he and Crowley have a really good relationship…

Eventually the kids go to a summer camp together in London (i dont know if they . do this in the UK, but suspend your disbelief if you will) Adam meets The Them there, then meets Warlock after a nutty fencing thing, they kind of hate each other at first and the rest is history :J

New from RECAP Weekly!!! An Exclusive Interview from Hermitopia's Emperor?!?

for the third week of @shepscapades ’s hermitcraft character design event, i offer grian as an empires smp member!

ok so first off, that head. thats just p03 from inscryption. but grian. it fits! but also! go play inscryption go go its on sale Right Now (until june 30) go play it its so good then go watch this video afterwards join my fandom please please please join us

ok back to hermpires! so i originally was gonna take an empire from s2 and just insert grian into it, but while browsing through the esmp s2 wiki i came across/remembered hermitopia and my brain went yep! this one. so i thought a bit about what grian would do if he was an empires smp member and how hermitopia would happen, and i think grian would crash the economy on purpose. i mean it almost already happened when the hermitpires crossover happened so i dont think im too far off. i think grian originally exported something simple, like maybe sugarcanes or mud, something easy to farm yknow, but then i dunno got bored or something so he made a couple more farms. then kept making more farms. then the hermitopia we all know and love happened!

actually maybe hermitopia isnt grians first empire. i think grian has a separate empire but decided to invite his friends to help him make some farms and then it just kept going. then hermitopia happened. i like the collaboration aspect of hermitopia so i think thats how that happens. hermitopia isnt necessarily grian's but its under his command so it gets called his. (isnt there a word for this? was it vassalage? i think its vassalage)

with that in mind i went with a robot-y grian because grumbot and a snazzy cool suit because business man (sidenote im looking over my pre art notes and one of them is just capitalism man and. yeah! not wrong). i gave him more steampunk-y wings than the usual feathery ones cause that fit better. i gave him a crown not really sure why but it fits since without it the design was more Just A Guy but with it he's more Emperor yknow. the buttons have a g on it because he would and an (attempted) gold trim cause that looked nice and fancy. originally he was gonna have four wings cause fun fact four wings is part of my base grian design but four wings kind of crowded the drawing so i didnt include them (sad) and i also didnt include the tail hes supposed to have because i couldnt find a good way to add it in with the pose. but in my heart he has both four wings and a tail

ok ok one last insanity check for everyone ok this is a lil different. like lemme just say im clearly someone who likes to go to the dark zone but also try and claw my way back out. i do sappy funny shit most of the time. and the writing of this thing has gotten long and insane, timelines have jumped as i try and parse events. as in i started w a scenario where raph nearly got sold out to his father and is rescued by his brothers immediately. we go to a place where he wasnt and is rescued later. theres been inbetweens where hes rescued but bad things happen despite that. all of this has led me to like his inner turmoils (diagnosis) and the other characters inner turmoils more. how they feel about each other how theyve coped. its good to jump around so im glad i havent said too much as if its all set in stone. im glad im not trying to write a fanfiction to SHARE if that makes sense.

my current shit that has gotten the longest was from the worst case scenario of his lack of rescue and i feel like... i dont need to say what that was? but i think i should point out that descent has a second meaning. its not just the spiralling downward, its also the root word of descendant. that was my feeling about the poetry of it.

so ill say i do feel like im in the danger zone of being fucking murdered for this but i wanna say it anyway cuz i think itll be ok. i think you guys will get it cuz ur being nice. im exploring shit and having fun. it gets raw, it gets hard, but its working out.

They settled down. Neither were leaving the weird space any time soon, might as well rest for a bit.

"So… who are you?" Hope asked the pale lioness. "I'm Hopeful, but you can call me Hope," she smiled, "pleased to meet you."

"My name… it's Nothing." She signed sadly.

"…Nothing?" Hope muttered.

"Yeah, it's not really a big deal, it's kind of funny actually-" Nothing started, with a very clearly fake smile plastered on her face.

"It's not funny, it's cruel." Hope said, stopping Nothing in her tracks. "No one should have to bear that burden." Hopeful thought back to Vicious, to Jasper, to hopeless. She wasn't deserving of that name, never was. "… who told you it wasn't a big deal?"

"O-oh." Nothing blinked, staring at Hope. She shook her head. "I mean it's just a name, what does it matter?"

Hope's face saddened. "Because a name is a culmination of who you are. You know, where I'm from, kids get their name based on their personality, on who they are. No one is worth nothing, it's a name unthinkable for anyone." And so was hopeless, she thought to herself. "So tell me, who are you?"

"I, I-I'm…" She stammered, at a clear loss for words. She opened her mouth a couple times, trying to figure out what to say, but nothing came out. Hope didn't say anything, and both stayed in silence for a moment. [10:12 AM] "I can't." She finally sputtered out.

"Hm?" Hope turned, flickering her ears.

"I can't pick a name for myself! I don't… I don't know what I could even name myself. I haven't done anything special, I'm not anything special!" She said, her voice raising an octave and tears pricking at the corner of her eyes.

"I'm… I'm Nothing and always will be." She added quietly.

"Now, that's just not true-"

"And how do YOU know about that?!" Nothing shot back.

Hopeful stared at Nothing. She thought for a bit and looked away.

"You know, I also had an… unpleasant name once." She started, slowly. Nothing lifted her head. "Hopeless. When mother- When Vicious, gave me that name, thats all I could feel. Hopeless."

"Hope…" Nothing muttered.

"But then there were so many others who helped me out. Clever. Storm. Adamant. They filled me with hope, and they helped me find out who I really was. My name is Hopeful. And so am I." Hope smiled. "I can help you, if you want."

"That'd… be nice." Nothing smiled.

They sat and talked, until the moon was low, and the light of the sunrise flickered in the little clearing they found. [10:12 AM] "I think I have some ideas." Hope happily said. "Meaningful, Corageous, Stalwart, Purposeful, Perserverant. Those are just some, you have a whole miriad of names you could come up with. You are brave, loyal, and resilent. There are so many others to choose from!"

"Thank you, Hope. You are so… good. I cant remember the last time someone was so kind to me." She chuckled. "Those are all good names… I will give it some thought."

"Take all the time you need. But no pressure! This is important, but you shouldn't feel pressured to choose something. Hell you can even discard everything I told you and go with a totally different name. Amber. Sand. Duststorm. There's a whole myriad of things to choose from." Hope assured.

"I think I got it." She smiled. "Braveheart. I think… its the name Sharptongue would have given me."

"That is a really nice name, Braveheart." Hope got up.

"Thank you." Braveheart smiled, and rose from her position.

Around them the wind flew past.

"Did you hear that?" Hopeful asked.

Nope. My parents nearly called me Isabella but they chose Sofia last minute (I’m glad they did bc it’s Portuguese and there’s also like a million Isabellas.)

Thursday last week bc I watched a movie in class that I didn’t expect to be triggered by but Oh Well.

I don’t even have a job 😭

I’m absolutely terrible at every conceivable sport and hate it with a passion but I did play netball for like, six years when I was really young. Still shit at it tho lol.
