ms paint. you know her. u used her age 8 to make loads of rainbow ovals all over the canvas and then scramble it with selection tool. now u will know her true powers with my handyrandy tips under the readmore. some will be pretty basic and others are very special.
this post has 8 cool trix to learn for you. enjoy and i may do another in the future if i remember/learn more stuff
some of it might be common knowledge. but its got some deep cuts. all tips have gifs to show process easily.
🙂 enjoy and i hope this encourages you to fuck around in mspaint more
soundtrack for this post (loop it while you learn for advanced learning experience)
TIP 1) the right click trick
left and right mouse click correspond to col1 and col2 respectively, which u can see in the top bar. this applies to all brushes and the fill tool like above. when using shapes col2 will be the fill colour (if you have solid fill selected). right clicking with shape maker will reverse the colours use on the shape.
TIP 2) right click eraser
this one is extremely helpful for lineart or add shading. the eraser always uses col2. so your eraser can technically be any colour. but here's where you get powers: right clicking with eraser will only erase onto col1, with col2.
TIP 3) transparent selection change a guy destination
the beloved transparent selection tool works based on what is selected as col2. so long as you have the correct colour as col2 you can make any image transparent and put it on top of anything else. and yes this works with photo bg as you can see.
TIP 4) the gradience
this one is a little more complex. you want to start off with any canvas size, and make as many diagonal coloured bands as you want. (protip: holding down shift makes a perfectly diagonal line with line tool)
then you need to resize the canvas to a width of 1px (make sure you resize by pixels, and do not maintain aspect ratio). then resize again back to its original width (or a different width i cant stop you). you will have your lovely gradience.
TIP 5) superimposter
so. you got a cool gradient and wanna put a guy on it. heres what i do:
i open a 2nd mspaint with same canvas size and draw whatever i want on there. i then pick a completely unrelated colour to my entire piece, and set that as the bg. you could use white, pink, geen, whatever you want as long as it doesnt appear somewhere else in ur drawing. copy the guy.
go back to your gradient tab. ensure that col2 is set as that bg colour you picked (lilac for me). have "transparent selection" enabled. paste your guy in. cue fanfare
TIP 6) advanced superimposter
the great thing about this method is u can put multiple gradients in multiple areas of the image. this is where it gets all japanese printmaking type of shit. ukiyo-esque
all you need to do is make another canvas with a new gradient, ensure col2 is set as the colour you want to replace, then paste your original piece onto the new gradient. now my guy has a soft fade. you can do this as much as you want. (you could even make a canvas with a texture or photo and paste your drawing onto there)
TIP 7) "sketch layer"
so as you now know, col2 is what is removed when you click "transparent selection". which means you can also remove any instance of a colour from ur drawing. which means you can have a unique colour for sketch layer and remove it from the drawing later. i admittedly dont do this but it is a great trick to have.
now combine this with lowering your dpi for smoother lines. may seem obvious but it helps. its like a free stabiliser whenever u want.
TIP 8) rainbow art
now this is where you can get dizzee rascal "bonkers". check out my small and shitty rainbow trick. you can select anything and hold down shift, then drag with left mouse, to turn that selection into its own brush. i even did it with a guy. and you can of course do this with a photo as well.
🙂well that it for now. hope you liked it thanks for reading now back to your regularly scheduled tgcg programming

It's you in the reflection, not him. [Viktor x Reader]
Dont let the title fool you because it's just a vent story, lamdhownwbsbxj. Remember- it's okay to be self-indulgent once in a while
–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—
I sit on Viktor's desk, my legs casually propped up on my usual chair, absentmindedly gazing into the small mirror he keeps tucked among his tools. My reflection stares back, and I let out a frustrated sigh. "Ugh! I look like my dad."
The sound of my voice breaks through the soft hum of his work. Viktor’s head lifts slightly, his golden eyes flicking toward me with quiet curiosity. “An odd lament,” he remarks, setting down a small tool. “Why does this trouble you?”
I hesitate, biting my lip before responding. “Because… I don’t like him.” My voice wavers, frustration and something deeper seeping through. “He was barely in my life, and when people say I look like him, it’s never a compliment. Everyone says he’s ugly, and then they just… casually mention how much I resemble him.”
The bitterness in my tone hangs in the air as I glance back at my reflection, my chest tightening. I whine softly, as if the words themselves could alleviate the weight pressing on me.
Viktor watches me in silence, his gaze steady but unreadable. When I finally meet his eyes, I catch something in his expression—thoughtfulness, perhaps, or a flicker of understanding.
“You frown at your reflection,” he says, his voice calm but deliberate, “not because of what you see, but because of what it reminds you of. A face, no matter how similar, does not define you.”
I furrow my brows, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. “Easy for you to say. You’re…” I gesture vaguely at him, my words tumbling out before I can stop them. “You’re you. Plus—you’re attractive.”
That catches him off guard. Viktor blinks, the faintest hint of color rising to his cheeks, though he quickly schools his expression. “Attractive, you say?” His tone is mild, teasing, but there’s a softness in his eyes that wasn’t there before.
I groan, covering my face with my hands. “Don’t make it weird. You know what I mean.”
His lips twitch in an almost-smile, but he doesn’t press the matter. “You overestimate the comfort I take in my own appearance,” he says quietly. “It is not without its flaws.” He taps the edge of his desk lightly, his voice growing more thoughtful. “Yet I find myself less concerned with the surface. Your likeness to him—whether striking or faint—is incidental. You are not him, nor his mistakes.”
I look away, swallowing hard. His words are kind, yet they stir something uneasy in me. “It’s not just about him,” I murmur. “It’s what people think when they look at me. Like I’m… carrying a piece of him everywhere I go, even when I don’t want to.”
He leans forward slightly, resting his elbow on the desk as he studies me. “And yet, you are more than their opinions. More than their comparisons. Do you believe your reflection encapsulates all you are?”
“I…” I trail off, unsure how to respond.
Viktor offers a rare softness in his expression, a flicker of empathy that feels grounding amidst the storm of my thoughts. “Perhaps it is not your father’s image you fear, but the thought that his absence defined you. That it shaped the way you see yourself. You are not beholden to that.”
I blink, his words sinking in slowly, uncomfortably, but not unwelcome. “You make it sound so simple.”
“Simple? No,” he replies, leaning back and picking up his tools again. “But necessary. Complexity often lies in accepting what cannot be changed.”
I glance at the mirror one last time, my reflection no less familiar, but his words linger like a small, steady light in the back of my mind.

Hellooooo! I’m working on a clangen blog of my own, so I’m going around asking my favorite clangen blogs some questions. I’m happy to get answers to whichever you feel like answering (or none at all if you don’t feel like it!)
What program and file size do you use?
If you use a font, what font is it?
How far ahead do you recommend playing?
Do you have any advice for layouts?
Do you have any tips for lighting/drawing fur?
Do you have any tips for making cats look more unique?
If you do backgrounds, do you have any advice for creating them?
If you use them, where do you recommend finding reference images?
Hi!! :D
1) I use Clip Studio Paint! Unfortunately not a free program, but I'm very very fond of it. Definitely recommend it to anyone who has the money! My file size is about 1680px wide, I believe? With varying heights. I definitely wouldn't recommend doing it that way, but it's what works for me so :')
2) I made the font myself, actually! Highly recommend doing that tbh, it's a happy medium between getting something handwritten looking without having to spend a thousand years writing haha :D There are probably a hundred websites out there that let you make you own font, but I used Calligraphr
3) It depends! For me playing to about 12-15 moons ahead with a minimum of 6 moons works really well with my style and workflow. Makes me able to cobble together these small interpersonal plotlines while also letting me occasionally play and get new drama to get invested in these characters all over again about. But if I were going for something with a major overarching plot, I would probably go a lot further ahead, if not straight up take the playthrough as far as I'd want it/until a game over just to not risk rng screwing with my plans
4) I would suggest looking up comic panelling tips in general for a better explaination than what I can offer, but I'll try to explain my basic process :'D I mostly go by heart, but I do like to sometimes follow this rule of thumb I like to call the 'Z'

When we read text, we learn to go from left to right, then back to left at a slight diagonal to get to the next line. By following that simple shape when placing characters and especially text, it makes it flow much more naturally to us. And when your pages flow well, you get to break that flow when you want a scene to feel more tense! I tried doing that with the last two panels of the page above and I really liked how that came out :D
Another couple of tips is 1) try not to make the panels too uniform 2) if you want to use two panels for one scene, slanting the side of a panel can make it feel like they flow into each other better, like matching two puzzle pieces if that makes sense 3) small overlapping panels are great for reaction shots and so fun to do!
And lastly, don't be afraid to break the panel border!

It can add a lot of momentum and impact if used right! Plus it's so fun to do <3
5) No sorry, I don't do lighting/shading in my comics at all :'D
6) I have a couple posts here and here describing my own process a bit! But otherwise I'd like to refer to whisper-cats' response to this same prompt, it's pretty in depth and I think they give some really solid advice here!
7) Not particularly, just find a style that works for you the best. I don't do a lot of backgrounding, but when I do, it's in this lineless limited palette style because that's just my favourite kind of background to make

I do highly recommend trying to limit how much time you spend on a background. Don't burn yourself out on one panel because then you'll never wanna finish the whole page!
And for 8), I dont use references so sadly I can't give you any good recommendations there either :')
I hope any of this made sense, lol! Good luck with your blog!

how are your shapes so good. does it just come to you naturally or do you have some super secret resource or what? i love your shape language and i'm gonna try to improve mine so if you have any tips that would be greatly appreciated 👍although i get youve been drawing for a while and this stuff can kind of just be ingrained into you so if you cant really think of any thats fine too. love your art!!
HI THANK YOU i went on a super rant so im gonna hide it all under a read more lol
it does come a bit more naturally to me just because i dont really understand how to draw things WITHOUT breaking them down into shapes (especially since i was drawing robots for so long lol), but i also think my artstyle just naturally got more shapey as i tried to have more fun with art and especially as i started incorporating what i enjoyed from artists i like. an obvious example would be oda's art throughout one piece since i genuinely do think my art took a big positive turn as i started reading it lolol. i have so many screenshots of panels i enjoyed or thought looked cool cause he really is just a master at it all- i especially like the way he uses the line of action, shapes, motion, and expressions, and try to study them a lot. i also looked at some of my favorite artists, like bucketofrobots, monstyra, estridd, aciescoutex, or onebadnoodle to name a few who inspired me. Dont tattle on me btw this is our secret.
so first tip is just See how others be doing it. but that can be for literally anything in art not just shape- thats just how i started. im a very monkey see monkey do kind of person
second tip! is literally to break stuff down into their simplest shapes and action lines. which sounds redundant tbh when i type it out but i mean it. simplify things down to their bare components- especially with the parts you want to emphasize in mind- before you build on them (if you build on them at all ofc). heres some examples of some of my sketches when i do make them, and some with outlines for ones that i wasnt super clear/clean about. i literally will block out and break down the forms into simple shapes, even using lasso tool like in the second image first (especially if i really dont know what to draw pose-wise). sorry a lot of these i was playing with perspective but those or drawings where i have a very specific or difficult pose in mind are just the only pieces where i actually have a sketch layer instead of just jumping right to coloring my sketch which is what i do most of the time
and when i say "parts you want to emphasize", im thinking especially with motion or certain parts of a characters design, like really pushing those shapes so that its visually clear What Is Going On. for example, in the 1st sketch above, i wanted to emphasize that zoro was like, sliding in and about to unsheathe his sword in a really cool combat-y pose. or in the 2nd sketch, the character is supposed to be sort of mid-jump so i left some space around him and exaggerated that movement, as well as his thing being that he has cool giant punch-y gauntlets and is probably about to punch some baddie, so i put that right in the camera. and the third is the same, i wanted to exaggerate the running movement as well as the creepy hand since those are important to that character. and here in this fourth image below i wanted to emphasize one character being too pushy and overly friendly, while the other is very uncomfortable about it, so i really played with one leaning into the other and the other leaning away, etc etc you get the idea for the rest of the examples that i redlined.
im sorry if this doesnt make much sense or is hard to read because its too wordy. im not very good at wording stuff right especially with explaining my thought processes. im a bit too much of an instinct type person so it feels like when i explain stuff i just go "and then you go bwaaahhh! and booom! and babam!! and thats how i do it".
so if this sucked heres a post by EtheringtonBros thats kinda similar to what im saying, and a youtube video from fourleafisland that also, is kinda similar to what im saying and has very good points!!!!!!
thank you again!!!!!! sorry this was so long. hell i even wish it was longer just bc i really wanted to include some aforementioned oda screenshots but i got embarrassed of how many of them were just zoro and gave up on searching and i didnt wanna take much longer on this cause im already late to gaming with friends help. just open the manga yourself and look at whenever he draws sanji or luffy. theyre both extremely shape.

dess-ember day 31/31
very long thoughts below the read more!
hi yall
woo-hoo, ive finished another month of dess-ember!! it really has been fun, if very time consuming, but ive made many pieces over this month ive loved and had a great time sharing them all with yalls 😄😄😄
but anyways, lets get to the final entry! its a bit of an unusual one :D
its some pixel art!! i have only done 2 other pixel things this month (i originally wanted to do more, but i am very slow at it 😔), so i felt like ending with it wasnt a bad way to go!
i took dess, noelle, berdly, kris, ralsei, and susie and made some different sprites of them, which were taking the way i draw them and making them into sprite version, and also me making omori style versions as well
i had a couple different versions of the art, layed out in different ways, but stinky tumblr only lets me have 10 images. unfortunate 😔.
but anyways, now weve got the main part, each individual character! you can skip past this if you dont want to hear my thoughts i had while doing the individual drawings, its kinda alot :/
i put them all in a format like this, hopefully it isnt confusing!
we can go in order of how i have them in the very first image, so we can start with kris :D
kris was a very fun one to do, they were actually the second one i made, and them turning out so well is what led me to making even more. i feel like im pretty much entirety happy with them, the omori style turned out cute, and the deltarune style isnt half bad either! i did forget to give them bangs though, like i normally give them in my art, but i was too much of a bum to go back and fix it after i finished :|. i feel like they translated very well ❤️
next would be ralsei, but im doing him last actually, because he has the most to talk about 😤😤
now weve got susie! her hair in her canon form was tricky to translate into the omori style, but i think it was worth it, cause it turned out well! and i think her canon dark world omori sprite might be my favorite i made, her outfit turned out great!! im not as fond of my versions of her design, they didnt translate that well into sprites, but it could be worse lol. her face was a bit difficult to do, since the omori head shape is meant for a human, but i think she turned out good regardless 💜
next is berdly, and im so sorry for him, he turned out roughhh. if i thought someone like susie, with her head, was hard to translate into the omori style, it was nothing compared to trying to turn berdly into it. with his beak and his head feathers and wings and his legs... yeah, it was not a fun time 😔. i tried though, and i dont think its entirely bad! the legs are probably the worst part, they are kinda hard to see, but the rest of it came together... kinda. dont get me started on turning my version of him into a sprite though, i dont wanna talk about it 😫. sorry berdly, if i ever sprite you again ill make it up to you 🩵
next is noelle! she was the first i did, and i feel like she turned out so cute 🥰🥰🥰. her dark world, my version, deltarune style sprite might be my second favorite one i made, i think it actually translated well to sprite art. her fur is a bit rough, gradiants are tough in pixel art, but i dont think its that bad overall. but yeah, im pretty happy with her 🤎
penultimatly, weve got dess! gotta have her, its dess-ember after all!! hers was hard to do, trying to take my own design and alter it to make it more canon (mostly, i just simplified some things, but i dont think it looks enough like a canon sprite :( ill keep trying with it), but i think she turned out cute as well! im not entirely happy with it though, as i said, i might go back to fix up the deltarune styled ones at some point 💚
lastly, weve got ralsei. ohhh ralsei, how cute you are, but how difficult you were 😵💫😵💫😵💫. to start off with, i had a goal in mind for the deltarune style sprites. normally, when you look at the canon ralsei sprites, you might notice they look a bit different. obviously theres the hat, and the fur color, but its more than that.
theres so many differences, and yet my goal was to make the sprites lose all those differences, and be more consistent with each other. i didnt think it would be too bad, but it was a rough time. i made his hatless version easily, and i was like, oh, ill just add a hat, change his color, itll be easy!! ...it was not easy 😶🌫️. i did that and he looked so wrong, it barely even looked like hat ralsei at all 😖.
i mean, that doesnt look right, right?? so i had to keep editing, and changing both versions, trying to make them better. i spent so much longer on him than anyone else, but at the end, i think it was worth it! i feel like he ended up adorable, but boy was it work 😂
the omori sprites of his were pretty easy though, once i had all the deltarune sprites down i just omori-fied them, took barely any time. i did make his outline purple though, like the headspace denizens, since hes a darkner 🩷
but thats it for that! this is where youd wanna skip if you didnt wanna read all that lol. now for me to yap about this month, and dess!
i feel like this was a pretty productive dess-ember!! i definitely ramped up my art from last year, trying to do as few small drawings as possible. was that a mistake? maybe lol. it was certainly difficult, and led to pretty much every drawing being late because most of them took like 8 hours or so, but i suppose a couple hours late doesnt affect much, and i still did all 31 entries!
and id say while it was a struggle, it was a good thing i did it! i enjoyed my time drawing, and sharing all my art with yalls is always a fun time for me ^^ and i really do like drawing dess, i think i made a pretty good design for her all those years ago (like 2) 😊
there is the question though, of 'what about next year? will you do this again??' and to that i say... i dont actually know haha. i would want to, even if im busy i could always do a smaller one, but the real thing that could affect it is that, in 2025 we are getting more deltarune!!! im more excited than i could ever say, but if we see dess in canon, then i dont know if ill do another dess-ember. there would be my design vs canon design, which would be strange to reconcile with, and i imagine someone would probably do an official month for her of art prompts.
but thats all if she even appears. if she doesnt, well, expect me back next december to do this! if she does, ill have to think about it, so we will see then ^^
anyways, ive had a good month doing this! it may be a bit before i post new art, to give myself a break, but ill be back 😄
bye yall, and happy new year 2025!!! 🥳🥳🥳

*Kicks door down with a feral expression.* Oh sisters im back from war! Anyways as soon as i saw your asks are open i back bursting in lol. Okay but to the point, i would like to ask for Wukong x m reader x Macaque fic. I dont care if its kicking my legs fluffy or jaw dropping smut i just wanna eat up some more of your work.
(^If your not comfortable with the request feel free to ignore it and leave it be, thought dont forget to take care of yourself and have a lovely night/day!)
((If there's already a 🦝 anon i will be really sad if not i won the prize :D))
REDACTED asked:
please make a fic or pic of Macaque and Wukong fucking the shit out of a male!reader (or each other) and the bottom is so full of cum that there's a lil cum belly appearing. I'd love it if there's a praise kink involved and or their body weight is crushing the other. (If you do reader, since the monkey's are cannonly 4 ft, the reader could be a lil taller than them.) Neck shit is so hot to me and extra points to bite marks! And a few more for licks and kisses on the body, starting soft and teasing the neck then get overstimulated as time goes on.
At the start if you want, Macaque can tie reader down with his shadows but that is purely an extra…just an FYI I love chubby and strong guys (soooo chubby Wukong is a plea) (Also also reader is a bottom lol)
Muses and Messes (Macaque x Male!Reader x Wukong Smut)
Alrighty chat, we're kicking off with a rare triple-combo-request the only smut I'm doing this round since I had this fic in the fucking oven for too long, it was fun writing though, plus the peeps over on AO3 get some smut art (I'm afraid of Tumblrs policies, so you guys over here get it censored like the holy children we are)
You know the drill, porn below with an image this time!
“Honestly, I just don’t understand how you can make shapes turn into a whole human being.” Wukong hummed, Macaque smirking behind him.
“It’s easy, Wukong. You just need to do it piece by piece–you know, instead of trying to draw the whole body in one go..” Macaque’s tail flicked as he sketched onto a new sketchbook, pages already filled up and wrinkled with countless eraser shavings that thinned out the page significantly. Macaque mumbled to himself, practically hissing at his paper, “If only the shapes could orient themselves correctly.”
You looked between the two as they drew. It was a strange request to have the equivalent of two gods knock at your door and ask for art lessons, but you couldn’t complain with the amount of money they were eager to give you. You could easily have your rent and bills paid for the rest of the year with that kind of cash.
“It’s all about practice mostly, not everyone draws with geometric shapes, some people just freehand it.” You explained, quickly sketching out the two styles, a messy yet natural human beside a stiff yet cleaned up person. “It’s all about how you prefer to learn and what style you’re going for.”
“You think you can find your style, Wukong?” Macaque teased, sticking his tongue out at the king. Wukong rolled his eyes.
“I could do it today if I keep it up!” The old monkey chirped proudly. “I’m already getting a hang of everything.”
You sighed internally, watching as the two of them began to race over perfecting human anatomy. Their eyes glanced over to you occasionally before more scribbles filled the room. Contently, you drew out the two before you, figuring that they would forgive you for using them as subjects–an eye for eye, you mentally grinned.
Their bodies were pristine, sculpted by time and the godly nature radiating through them. You knew well of the tales between the legendary Monkey King and his adversary, the nigh-omniscient Six-Eared Macaque. The power the two held rivaled that of heaven and the Jade Emperor himself, and the power of Buddha was the only thing that could keep them down for the count.
As the years passed, the world grew to know less of them, both of them disappearing to their own journeys and fates.
It was only until a few months ago that you were even aware that the two had returned to the public eye–in some fashion, at least. It was until now that you were aware of their healing bond, an interesting detail that had you wondering for more about the two.
For now though, you were content in simply drawing them.
“How’d you do that?” A voice had rumbled behind you, causing you to yelp and jump from your seat. Macaque leaned against the chair, his expression never changing but briefly, you swore you saw the curve of lips and a flash of teeth.
You glared at the darker simian, sitting back in the chair before opening up your sketchbook again to the doodle of the two monkeys you had centered on the page. “Practice, mostly, that and you two were so focused on drawing that you were still enough for me to get the pose right.”
“Hmm,” Macaque leaned in closer, his fur tickling the side of your arm as he inspected your work. “Interesting…”
“My people don’t look like that.” Wukong appeared beside you, his tail grabbing your sketchbook while he looked closely at your drawing. “How do you make them look so…unique?”
“Oh, well, it’s about shapes, mostly–again, heh.” You stumbled over your explanation. “Design is kind of a personal thing, like–I would say you choose your designs based on what you feel is right.”
“What feels right, huh?” Macaque purred in your ear. “Hmm, that’s a unique way of saying it.”
Macaque’s breath tickled at your neck, blowing a puff of air into the shell of your ear with a wide smirk. Wukong’s tail had long since wrapped around your arm, a knowing glance shared between the two of them.
Macaque whispered to you again–somehow closer, yet almost hesitant.
“Could we explore your body, see how right it feels?”
You shivered, your heart thumping loudly against your chest. You didn’t expect your lesson to end up like this, but…
It was…tempting…
Wukong’s voice whispered in your other ear, impossibly quiet for the boisterous sage. “We’ll make you feel good, give you a reward greater than the riches we could offer.”
You couldn’t resist the warmth of their breath nor the way their touches soothed invisible pains in your body. You didn’t know you were so tense, yet at their gentle command, you were caught in a willing trap, a net that embraced you yet restrained you.
On your knees, you were tied up in shadows, naked before you knew it. The shadows were chilled, not quite cold yet definitely not warm. You shuddered at the sight of Wukong and Macaque’s glossy fur, half-hard dicks presented to you. A silent question rose, and you answered, licking along Wukong shaft while Macaque’s hand stroked his own cock.
Wukong’s cock pulsed against your tongue, throbbing as he became fully hard. You whimpered under your breath, brain mulling over the next steps. You felt a hand–Macaque’s–stroke your hair comfortingly.
“Do as much as you can,” Macaque’s voice was sweet, slightly tense as he forced himself to stop stroking. “You’re doing great.”
Your brain felt mushy, cloudy–like the world had stopped spinning and time only waited for you to begin anew. Macaque’s hand never left your hair, never stopped petting you in his show of support. You took the tip of Wukong’s cock into your mouth, hearing Wukong’s breath nearly hiss out in your sudden movement– it sent waves of pride through you.
Slowly, you lowered your head, relaxing your jaw as you took Wukong’s entire length, feeling his tip hit lower and lower into your throat.
You looked up, feeling Wukong twitch in your mouth while your tongue lapped up what it could. Wukong’s eyes were glazed over, looking down at you in anticipation yet pride. You hummed, smiling to yourself as you began to move, hearing Wukong’s breath stutter again as you bobbed your head enthusiastically on his cock, tasting the salty yet strangely fruity precum that your throat practically milked out of him.
“--Fuck,” Wukong groaned, his hands clenching at your hair like a lifeline, sending shocks of pain and excitement through you. “You’re real good at this, y’know?”
You felt your core coil at those words, warmth spreading through your body as you continued to lap at Wukong’s dick, the taste slowly consuming your thoughts.
“Oh, you like that, don’t you?” Macaque muttered behind you, his hands rubbing your back while you focused on Wukong. “You like being praised like a good boy, huh?”
You couldn’t answer in your position, but Macaque still chucked to himself. “Keep doing what you’re doing, and you’re headed for a looong night.”
Your mind quickly came back to you; memories flashing through your mind before a particularly calculated thrust jolted you back to the present. Macaque growled behind you, low and rough grunts from Wukong joining in as they continued to abuse your asshole. You couldn’t feel your legs, but the warmth from Macaque’s chest nearly burned you while Wukong’s movements sent waves of pleasure through your tired body. Everything ached, yet you craved more.
They were as much animals as you were a toy to them, and your core clenched at the thought. You felt something sloshing in your stomach, warm and pleasant inside of you.
“Hey–” A hand lightly slapped your face, Wukong slowing ever so slightly to look at the mess you’ve become. “You with us?”
You nodded, groaning as Macaque had stopped entirely.
“Keep–mng–keep going,” you pleaded, feeling the low rumble of Macaque’s chuckle.
“If you say so,” and they continued, not bothering to start slowly.
Low whispers sang into your ears while your cock bounced against your stomach, Macaque and Wukong pressed against you, nearly crushing you.
“Such a good boy for us,”
“Look at you, taking us in so well,”
“What a cute boy you are.”
You whimpered against the heat surrounding you, feeling your stomach tightening as you slower creeped to your edge.
Suddenly, they stopped again, warm cocks still inside of you. You groaned, your head slamming into Macaque’s shoulder while Wukong chuckled.
“You aren’t finishing yet,” Wukong purred, licking your neck. Macaque hummed behind you, kissing your cheek before sinking his teeth into your shoulder, pain sinking into your sweaty skin. You whimpered, feeling tender kisses and light nips across your neck. Wukong went lower, pressing more kisses along your body and giving your dick a teasing lick to your dismay.
Macaque lowered you slightly, shadows cooling your heated skin while you hummed in question, trying to ignore the pained ache in your body. Low purrs rumbling through his throat while his hands caressed your chest.
“Wukong, you done over there? Our muse here looks like he’s going to explode.”
Wukong muttered under his breath, something about the importance of patience and care. Macaque chittered to Wukong, the sound almost a warning to your ears, but Wukong gripped your legs, looking at you with lust-ridden eyes.
“Ready?”
You nodded, your own hips bucking with need.
You were quickly filled again, Wukong growling into your ear. “Hope you’re ready for this round.”
In one thrust, he bottomed out with a grin, eye gleaming with finality. “You’re not going to be able to walk after this one.”
“Enough chit-chat, Wukong.” Macaque groaned, desperate thrusts from his hips. “Your voice is grating enough.”
Wukong’s hips moved, hitting your G-spot with impressive accuracy. You melted into their crushing touch, eyes closed as bliss overcame you. They slowly sped up, your hips bucking up in your quite loud desperation for release. Your moans echoed through the room, growls from all sides of you joining in on the sex-filled duet.
You felt a snap in your core and screamed out, feeling the cooling touch of a shadow stroking you off as you came intensely, more cum filling you up while Macaque and Wukong pressed against you.
The three of you panted intensely, shadow tentacles releasing you gently onto the couch while cum poured out of you. The two monkeys seemed barely phased, sweat being their only marker for any sort of exertion. They grinned down at you, kneeling down by the couch to hum their praises while they cleaned you up gently.
“You did so well for us.”
“What a good boy.”
You drifted off into a blissful slumber, your lower half practically numb yet shaking at the same time as the sounds of quiet cleaning sang you to sleep.

PLEASE SHARE ART TIPS
Art tips have arrived <3
1. Sketch from real life, this means sitting down and taking 20 minutes to sketch what’s on your desk or the view outside your window. Work loosely and inaccurately at first but then slowly start to focus more on the details.
2. Learn to see the shapes that build up an object or creature. Work on something that is small and relatively simple like a cube or cylinder at first and then slowly work up to animal legs, planes of the face, or human anatomy.
3. I highly recommend adding diversity to your work! try and include a variety of styles, body types, races, features and cultures! This can ONLY improve your art as you’re learning how to work with different shapes and colors. The only thing to consider with this tip, is that if you are going to depict real people or cultures (whether directly or indirectly) you need to research and make sure you’re doing so in a respectful way!
4. If you like a certain creators artwork and you want your art to look like theirs find a small part of their art and try to fit it into your own style, for example, the way that the show arcane shades the eyes, or the way that into the spiderverse uses small dots and lines to add texture.
5. TRACE TRACE TRACE! trace 3d models, photos you’ve taken, reference images. it’s totally fine to trace as long as you’re being legal and professional about it by this I mean DONT TRACE OTHER ARTISTS WORK unless you have permission! You are free to trace my work and even use it as a reference image or a compositional reference if you’d like!
6. Draw for yourself and no one else! Take the time to create projects or pieces simply bc you want to. Don’t let people pressure you into sharing your work if you don’t want to, and remember that your creative work has inherent value no matter how ‘good’ it is.
7. Art can be so many different things and it is a tool that you can manipulate to your liking. If you’re unhappy with how your art looks, try drawing something in the opposite of how you usually draw it. If your current style has highly stylized features, see what happens if you try and draw the features smaller.
8. Don’t throw out your earliest art! You’ll wanna look back on all your progress! I still have my first sketchbook ever and boy howdy is it such a jump from then to now. It’s quite encouraging to look through how much you’ve improved!
Hope these helped anon <333

kobd: the wildbreak theory
So, let it be known Mercy loves this piece of shit show - only for the Stunticons and specifically Wildbreak
He’s my favorite character ever, only because every time i see him i go: “omg same”
HOWEVER, the Wildbreak appreciation post comes later - I got some damning proof this fucker is a KOBD child.
This is fucking long. And only me being obsessed would produce this masteriece.
Buckle up BUCKAROOS-
So, to begin.
The famous fan theory in Transformers is that Wildbreak is the love child of Breakdown and Knockout from TFP.
It’s so popular that everytime you see domestic KOBD art, there’s a good chance a tiny little Wildbreak is in there.
Usually comes from the fact that TF:RID 2015 is a sequel series to TFP, as well as Wildbreak has an image likened to both of them. He is a Stunticon like Breakdown, but has similarities to Knockout. blah blah, someone already made a shorter post that explains the appearance factor-
HOWEVER MORE EVIDENCE- I have it.
Let’s talk about Wildbreak’s Weapon.
Cutie pie does not get a lot of screen time, in fact, all he gets is five episodes he appears in and one dedicated to him and Dragstrip mainly.
So this episode is all we get of him + Dragstrip + Dragbreak
In the ep, Dragstrip and Wildbreak stole Windblade’s weapon stash and are being chased down by Bee and the gang. They only get one fight scene and its as Dragbreak [Wildbreak/Dragstrip combined].
So when I saw that Dragbreak had a weapon in the form of a HAMMER ON A STICK - I thought huh, sounds too good to be true.
Because isnt it funny that KOBD weapon combo would be a hammer on a stick.
Let’s assess. aka let mercy ramble at 2am
At first im like, that couldn’t be KO’s weapon [”a shock stick”] cause his is notorious shaped like a “trident” and its extendable.
[lol it has to be the toy model cause TFP’S LIGHTING IS SO DARK I CANT GET A GOOD SCREENSHOT OF IT]
Until....
I sped it down by 0.25 and i see it transform into this
my ass lifted from the seat AS I WAS LOOKING AT A HAMMER AND A TRIDENT STAFF- THAT IS EXTENDABLE-
AND ITS CONFIRMED TO BE WILDBREAK’S WEAPON BECAUSE
this is Dragstrip’s weapon
its even seen with DRAGBREAK-
AND NOTHING ABOUT IT CHANGED! IT DIDNT BECOME ANYTHING DIFFERENT or combo with Wildbreaks- ITS JUST DRAGSTRIPS GUN
Which meannnsssss THIS NEVER BEFORE SEEN, HAMMER ON A TRIDENT STAFF HAS TO BE WILDBREAKS.
I even looked into the older G1 Stunticons for further reference and saw that all Stunticons had guns p much, especially Dragstrip. And I looked at G1 Wildrider and Breakdown since thats where Wildbreak’s namesake came from and...they both have guns. No hammer or staff. Which means-
The inspo for a Hammer and Staff sounds like it came from ~~
TWO GAYS
-------///------
Hello everyone, welcome to half way point where Mercy acknowledges that she’s lost her fucking mind and cant stop the conspiracy theories on her fav character from a show no one watched.
However I just like to say as a funny side note, that Wildbreak is voiced by Kakashi and Dragstrip is Brain from Pinkie & the Brain.
Literally looking at the voice cast list for EVERYONE in this show and you’ll realize where the budget actually went. CAUSE IT WASNT TO THE WRITERS-
can u tell i love this fucking show
-------///------
At first I got a wee bit scared cause Im thinking- wait, the whole episode was about them finding Windblade’s weapons stash...maybe these were Windblades weapons???
But after closer inspection:
nope.
In fact, Wildbreak is so cute and helpful, he did a 180 for me to see front and back. uwu
Even Dragstrip doesnt have any that resemble his gun or retractable hammer.
‘ o ‘
And for a show that loves reusing models for everything-
(im still mad about this)
Why wouldn’t they reuse the weapon models?? ...unless they were specifically suppose to be weapons for Dragstrip and Wildbreak~
Also I was looking to see if their toys came with any weapons and-
they dont
but its so funny cause now Wildbreak is the one on top LOL DSAKLFJASLD
Haaaaa, guess they are both switches--- [this isnt canon. there’s no way Wildbreak is a switch.]
Well then it comes down to if they had their weapons on them at all during the show outside of this scene then its a done deal.
Nope. They just come out of thin air. Thanks show.
But Mercy- doesn’t Knockout’s staff have a “shock” ability?
Well im glad you said that mercy, cause this fucking happens
LITERALLY the SAME BLUE HUE
and it also explodes for some reason at the end of the episode?!?!??!!?!?
So rip
Wildbreak’s gift from his dads doesnt exist anymore. bb sad.
anyways thats my talk on confirmation that KOBD had a lil bb named Wildbreak and he got a combo weapon from them-
thanks for coming to the ramble!!!
BONUS:
Gay Sideswipe
#lol#wow#me looking at refs for wildbreak has turned into this#i just wanted to draw him and his boyfriend#and it turned into me doing a WHOLE THING#ahhhhhh#why do i give a shit about this shoooowwww#i want to take wildbreak and the stunticons and dip#lel#KOBD#knockout#breakdown#wildbreak#tf#transformers#macaddam#tfrid#tfrid 2015

I'm not sure if you've made a post about it already, but I'd love to hear your thoughts/headcanons for the jjk characters too!! :O
i briefly mentioned maki in a tangent off someone elses post, so ill go full into it here :)
-JJK spoilers ahead-
in general, i think its fitting for all the students to be in shape. i mean, physical training is a large part of their curriculum, its essential, but at the same time its important to recognize the variety of athletic bodies
also, i stated in my one piece post about how a bodybuilding physique isnt sustainable, and thats because you should have fat between your muscles and skin, end of story. and muscles generally arent defined without flexing anyway (another post that addresses this).
so, what does this mean for drawing these characters? it means theres no damn way yujji's dead ass is looking like this in the morgue
there should be little to no definition on those abs yet each one is shaded like that??? listen i for one fucking hate drawing abs period i will take any excuse to simplify it, but it realistically it should be far more subtle, just a suggestion of the muscles rather than individually outlining each and every one of them
here i have sketched a majority of the main students in my body hcs
todo is absolutely the type to go after an aesthetic body, but i fr just see no appeal in a body fat percentage below 10 (by reference of this image)- so i kept his muscle level, but took out much of the definition (of course he could still flex to be more defined, but resting would be more like this)
the rest have much smaller differences, but differences nonetheless. based on vibes.
yuji is muscular, but drawn off the assumption he doesn't do much weightlifting, just strength training (a bigger focus on function over fashion). its the same thing with megumi, really- you can be strong without having bulk at all (see movementbydavid on yt) only really showing muscle when flexing
the rest follow the same lines of logic. vibe based and all that. i dont wanna drone on explaining each and every decision bc i hope its mostly self explanatory.
remember: their cursed energy strength is not equivalent to their visible strength. abs aren't always visible. use references and try to vary your body types, fanart or not.

so today i was in the mw oc server talking abt some stuff i noticed about jawbone (+ some other theory stuff as well!!)

so first of all. two kind of obvious details:
he is green (“yeah no shit sherlock” i hear u thinking. trust me there is a reason why im pointing it out)
his pupils are triangular. nobody else in the show so far has had triangular pupils. (well. i mean commander tezzoree’s eye has a triangular pupil but she hasnt made an appearance in any episodes yet and i doubt the two characters are connected)
just making this point known for now. we will hold this thought for later in the post.
another thing: so in the ref sheet of him posted to the mw tumblr back in september i believe(?), his name is written as “jawbone (a.k.a. scythelord)”
you know where a character by the name of “scythelord” has shown up already?

on a wanted poster, thats where!! he has a bounty on his head!!!
which means that tyneen and her crew are probably after him, which probably explains why they’re at the thicc chicc casino. (how do i know jawbone is there? because ricket is there, which i know because he is shown interacting with both shrike and tyneen, who we know are both there)
now. remember that thought from earlier that i told you to hold until later? now is the time to bring it back.
ok so. we already know that colors and shapes each have their own respective significance in this show, and colors and shapes are chosen deliberately.
with that said:
correlation?? maybe???
ADDITIONALLY:
this further cements my belief that ep 4 will have a LOT in it regarding the cataclysm or some other related thing. why?

(2nd pic comes from the VA application doc. unfortunately i dont have any better quality pics of it)
despite the poor image quality in the second pic, you can still tell that both of these characters have some sort of magenta (or pink i guess?) type of theming going on in their designs.
also if we look at campions, like, the flower

you can see where im trying to go with this idea.
i did a whole bunch of examining colors today in light of this, actually!!! quick fun fact for those unaware: RGB and CMYK invert into each other.
and then after i made that image i started sorting things into what colors they are. (white and black have been omitted from the screenshots simply because there doesnt seem to be any significant things tied to them)
obviously this list is probably incomplete and i will continue to add to it, of course.
(my main inspo for even thinking about CMYK for theories in the first place was @toastedclownery btw!! GO CHECK OUT THEIR BLOG IF U HAVENT ALREADY THERES SO MANY COOL THEORY POSTS THERE!!)
one final not-as-relevant theory that’s really more of a prediction: i really think joel vargskelethor is gonna be in this upcoming episode, whether it’s in whole or in part. i mean, he already voiced the duende in ep 3, so it’s not like its impossible or anything. also “scythelord” happens to be the name of joel’s band as well (which you should DEFINITELY check out if ur into metal!!!!! absolutely amazing stuff) OH OH AAAAAAND

id like to direct your attention to the title of this update, which is “the bone zone,” which i believe to be a skeleton metal reference.

also jawbone/scythelord has the little sweden viking helmet thing on the wanted poster. AND HES GREEN! LIKE FREN!!
for those who dont know, this is fren (also known as vargfren i think)
so yeah. these evidence pieces combined with the fact that zeurel has made dozens of “vargskelethor animated” videos (which is how i got into zeurel’s animations in the first place actually!!) are what led me to make this prediction.
anyway, i hope you guys liked this theory post. it’s not an update on the web, but i figured id try doing something new. though, if youd like to see the web, here’s a view of the full thing currently:
but yea thats all i really had. ill reblog with some additions if i think of anything else. bye for now!!! :^D
#monkey wrench#monkey wrench theory#monkey wrench spoilers#<- actually i dont think there are any here?? tagging just in case tho

The main idea of this project was to show how electronics and AI are such a huge part of our every day life that it could end up being our downfall. AI can be used as propaganda and I have already seen it happen. Its a part of everyone, so i was going to try to make it look like the self portrait has machine but then i decided i didnt rlly like that so i jus got rid of that. The quote in blue is a reference to mass effect one, where sovereign calls itself the vanguard of destruction. The reaper from mass effect symbolizes the AI, since reapers from mass effect are just the result of an AI created by an ancient race. The ancient race was the first species to become part of the cycle of extinction and the reapers made themselves in their image.
Also, i had to lightly trace the shapes of many of the components of the art piece, but I didn't rip anyone off and I used images with licenses that would allow the public to use them for creative commons. The timelapse is sideways and I apologize, i dont know how to fix it.

Hello! Sorry to bother you, but I'd just like to see if you have a ref sheet for your sona? I'm thinking of making you, Rabid, Dia, and Bun a little animatic. Actually, if I'm gonna be honest, there are a whole lot of ideas for you four in my head rn. Especially when Rabid and Dia posted something about the song "Anything you can do, I can do better." Sorry, I'm rambling. Also, since I think at least Rabid showed something about a mob au for their sona, I've had an idea for more animatics. But anyways, sorry for this ask being really long. Thank you for at least reading this, You make me actually remember to eat, drink, and take my meds when you remind your mutuals, so thx! Also, love your art, very very unique and all I think about when I see your doodles or pieces is ". . . . . smol"
Okie, I'll be taking my leave! Gotta shape-shift back into a rat to go to the vents and continue my endless cycle of ideas and au's. Okay, Bye Bye!!!!!
(Remember to take care of yourself, drink, eat, sleep, [take meds if you need/are prescribed them], and know that you are loved!)
And- *is literally being dragged out bye an Anon* oh! Oki Nighty Night *disappears behind a door and a laundry shoot is heared opening and something is heard being but in* (muffled) Thank you, WEEEEEEEEE-
I thought a little ending that I hope made you laugh would help :]
(I was giggling the whole way though the story, a lovely ending!! Bravo 👏 🌹!!! thank you for the kind words about my style it's something I was insecure about for a long time, and I'm glad I have a positive effect on people's health hehe)
dont ever apologize for asking something, I love getting asks and long asks just means I add the tag #long post
Also oh my goodness that sounds amazing and I would be honored
as for a reference I uhhh I've been trying to make a reference but I keep getting distracted
the only best references I have I have right now is this hair guide I made for Bunsowo that I kept forgetting to share It's a bit out dated now but still close enough

And the l eyes guide I made for Rabid that is now also outdated...
If you just need an image to go off id recommended this one sense it's the most recent

Jeeze I really need to make a reference for my sona. I guess I never expected people to try and draw my stuff so I'm not used to this...
wait what's this?
Those are my lines silly/j
I wish you luck in your creations and make sure to pace yourself so you don't get hurt
Also wait nighty night? Are you supposed to be sleeping? 👁️ 👁️

i’m always in awe of your use of texture whenever i see the burning kai art !! it’s seriously so satisfying and beautiful
why thank you! I'm going to take this ask as one for the "analyze your own art" prompt lollll so sorry if you weren't looking for a ramble about the meaning in the piece but also. woe, analysis be upon ye!
so the caption of the original post of this piece is a line from Astana's Favorite Daughter. Fair warning the music video linked contains nsfw/horror elements, but it's a gorgeous piece of evocative animation set to an even more evocative song. I dont actually think the song itself fits Kai terribly well when taken in whole, but it's what prompted the image to come to my mind in the first place, so it's relevant
I really had fun playing with shapes in this image. Someone pointed out the teardrop shape where his neck and shoulder meet, which i also incorporated into the shadow where his right hand is, as well as the shoulders themselves and some of the negative space between licks of flame.
The shapes focus is also why I drew this in black and white first. I used a gradient map to color it, which is new for me!
The way kai is holding himself has a dual meaning to me. It could imply self-love, like hugging yourself, but it could also imply a sort of fear of vulnerability and hiding of oneself, since his arms are wrapped around his naked chest.
The expression is meant to be a little bedroom-eyes-y lolll, but I kept the actual view the audience gets of his expression limited to the one eye to again have something "hidden."
Pretty much all of this is in service of exploring multiple meanings that I attribute to fire. The idea of something warm and alluring and necessary, that also gets dangerous and destructive when you get too close.
Dwell as long as you wish on the transgenderism of me (transmasc) drawing a (male) character I kin naked staring directly at the camera set to a song with the word "daughter" in it

Hey, you're the first artist I've seen on the defense side of the AI argument, and I would like to hear more of your thoughts on the subject, if that's okay
oh! sure, no problem buddy.
you first have to understand im am a bit of a radical when it comes to "ownership" of art. personally i am of the opinion that all art should be free to share with the world. i dont like the idea of artists hoarding ideas or concepts or gatekeeping their work. i think its pretty miserly to claim ownership of a thought, of an idea, of a concept. it reduces and constricts other peoples capacity for expression.
i think its fair if you want to monetize your work but even that i feel should have a time limit, as in, after a few years your art should be free. otherwise you are just rent seeking.
moreover i think other people should be free to take, transform, remix, reshuffle, cover and alter and build upon the art of others. i think there is something beautiful there in human interaction, in comunication, in the evolution of an idea into new shapes and combinations.
ovbiously copyright tends to put obstacles to these things, but it leaves some space for it in the form of fair use. that if your work is commenting or critiquing or transforming the work of someone else then its fair game. i think that is peachy.
now, so far i think a lot of people would agree with me and the place where we split is wether a human is doing these transformations or a computer program, they argue the fact that a computer is doing it makes it illegitimate, it makes it so that its not an action of human agency, it is not an expression of human thought or creativity and thus it cant be true critique or transformation.
now there are two angles we can tackle this. we can argue wether it matter if a human does it or a computer does it, or we can argue wether we can actually say that humans had no bearing on the process. i will focus on the second one.
given that the AI is a product of human endeavor, made by humans, trained by humans on human work to conform to human precerences and then it is activated and (depending on how involved the process is) guided and regulated by human prompting and human curation. i think there is enough human agency and discernement on every step of the process to say that the result is one of human creativity. that the AI is merely a tool being used by humans to make things.
now i have made references to transformative works and that brings to mind things like collages and remixes and reshuffles and mashups, which may lead to the wrong impression that the AI works by grabbing a thousand pieces of work that it has stored in some huge database and then it picks and collates it all together. that is not how it works at all, i could go on a huge tangent on how the AI actually does what it does but rest assured it does not copy and paste portions of art stored somewhere inside it.
finally i want to conclude on the idea of wether its theft to use the art people put online to train an AI. like i already explained it clearly does not violate copyright since any sane interpretation of the process has to be transformative enough to count as fair use. but on a more fundamental level, is it right to "use" other people's art without their consent for whatever purpose, regardless of wether you are breaking copyright or not?
i think yes.
now let me be clear, if you are putting your work behind a paywall, like in your patreon or whatever, where the only way to access it is by paying the artist. then i think it can meaningfully be said that to access that art without paying the artist is theft. its piracy after all. and as we all know piracy is wrong (wink wink nudge nudge).
but now that is not the case with most art online, right? most art online is completly free to view and download. in fact the only way to view it is by downloading it, the browser has to store the image in the cache memory of your pc in order to show it through your monitor. so to download the copy and keep it in your disk has to be fine, it is not a scarce resource, its a digital image, it can be copied infinity times without ever depriving the creator of the image itself, and its free! so the artist is not being deprived of some revenue that should have been rightfully theirs.
now lets say i want to count how many pixels in that image are green, so i take pen and paper and start counting. surely that has to be right.
how about if i do that with every image in their gallery. that has to be fine as well. what if i count how often every color appears on every pixel on every image, so that i have this giant database with a statistical distribution of color across all the works of the artist, and in order to do the whole thing faster i have a machine do that for me? does an artist have the right to say i cant do this? could a painter forbid an art historian from analizing their artistic evolution because it would be "using their art in a way they didnt consent"? could a sculptor stop someone from measuring how tall their statues tend to be? can miyazaki come and say that he is forbidding me from using his movies as animation reference because that is not how he wants people to interact with his art? i mean maybe. maybe society decides that yes, that is a right artists should have. but personally i think that would be a bad thing because it would constrain the capacity of humans to learn, to study and to express themselves and that is anathema to my principles.
on a more fundamental level, i, as an artist who has made art and who understands how the sausage gets made, dont hold ART or the creation of ART as some kind of sacred cow. i dont think there is this contamination or desecration because we use a machine to do it. i do think there is virtue in doing art on your own with your own hands. its certainly impressive, it takes time and effort and talent and skill and all of that are things that i personally find valuable. much like running a marathon or doing your dishes. but there is no shame in driving a car or using a washing machine either, sometimes we want things to be easier and convenient and that is perfectly fine and valid.
then there is a whole other argument about AI outcompeeting artists in the marketplace and driving them out of their jobs, much like many other industries in the past were automated by the progress of technology leaving people without jobs. i can sympathize a lot more with this argument but this post has gotten too long already so ill leave it at that

what's your process for coloring like? the look of that elendira is so textured and interesting, i can't figure out how you do it
AA THANK YOUU ^__^ !! textures & brushwork are my favorite things abt my art, so im happy you find it interesting hehe . its SOO cool to look at & so much fun to draw imo
i prefer to color by building in layers , if that makes sense 🤔!! hundreds of them !! such that i'm always drawing on Top of previous layers, working from big & messy blocks of color to, eventually, small and refined blocks of color until it feels processed enough. as a result, i rarely ever erase (!!) and i rarely ever draw lineart aside from the initial sketch
a rough, patchy textured brush is key here, as it'll give you dimension and variability w/ your colors. i recommend "Brush and various sets of fountain pen style (万年筆風ブラシと色々セット)" on Clip Studio (ID: 1679706) !! :3
im terrible with explanations though, so i'm going to show a step by step of that elendira drawing if you dont mind :3
sketch layer !! because i mostly render through color alone, i try to make this as close to the finished thing as possible . ^__^ i hateee drawing the same thing over and over and like the expressivity and movement of my sketches anyways , so the more i can preserve at this step, the better. if u were to look at a side by side of my sketches and finished pieces, youd notice a lot of those og lines are present in the final drawing :3
2. flats !! pretty self explanatory, but the solid background gives me an idea of where the figure begins & ends while the colors themselves help distinguish whats what . i stick to ambient lighting @ this point because im usually not sure what i want to do with the overall palette or lighting yet . having two tones (ex, dark and light in her hair or dark and light on her skin) can also help in identifying key features early on that u wanna preserve. as you build layer by layer, sometimes these areas will remain untouched and i think it makes for a rly lovely feel at the end
3. start blocking !!! to be totally honest with you, i dont really know what i do here HAHAHA. like i just scribble the shit out of it, usually focusing on what i might want to do with lighting (ex: grey areas to accentuate folds in her costume). i think i like to start "erasing" the sketch where possible by coloring on top of it .. like if you look at her hat or her arm , you can tell i'm starting to get a sense of the shapes i like vs the ones i dont. it's at this point that the final image starts to emerge in my mind , like im gradually pulling her from a tarpit of scribbles until shes recognizable lol. chipping away at the marble until i can free her. tbh.
4. keep blockingg...when u think u are done , block some more . as you can probably see, the brushwork becomes more intentional as i add more shape, with specific focus on line weight. this is also where the patchiness of that textured brush comes in - notice how none of the colors seem totally uniform (ex: the red cross or the original sketchlines for her waist). you can see bits and pieces of the layers underneath pushing through and i really like that !! ^__^ its very fun and sketchy to me, so i try to keep them around. those areas are also great to colorpick from, because it'll give you "new" colors to work w/ that are already part of your palette.
5. GRADIENTS & GRADIENT MAPS !! TONE CURVE !! COLOR PICKER !! this is the best stage tbh. flatten your image so its all on one layer and just go crazy with all the color settings in ur program. add gradient layers and set them to darken, or overlay, or subtract, orrr. lighten or dodge glow or divide or soft/hard light.! OR!! edit the hue, saturation, luminosity and contrast.and then color pick from these edits, block even more on top of ur image, flatten, color edit again, etc. etc. until u feel satisfied.
ANYWAYSS . i hope that makes sense @__@ sry i wrote this out and deleted it like 23 times trying to make it make More sense but thats what ive got HAHA i hope its useful though :3 !
#SRY I STRUGGLED 2 EXPLAIN THIS#dude its like my brain bcomes stuffed w/ cotton anytime i try 2 write#i hope it makes sense tho..#it also probably sounds so redundant to make new layer one after the other for just a few brushstrokes#but those brushes i linked have a multiply property so if you draw on top of prev lines they'll create dark patches#and so if im working over a large area ill generally need like . 5 layers each with one brushstroke :sob: if that makes sense#this one had . 84 i think. total. layers i mean. the merylvash one had 300+ HAHAH so it rly depends#like YEAAH i could just use a normal brush but i really like the way this looks#andd sometimes the multiply function works really well or will give me the proper shadow tone im looking for#anywas.wanywaysn anyways#asktag#anonymous#long post
