(sorry if youve talked about this before, i cant find anything on your blog) im curious on what you think about doctors focusing so much on the possibility of patients being addicted to ritalin/concerta? my doctor warned me abt it a couple of times and i just rlly dont care abt the distinction between being addicted to it and needing it to survive work lmao. interesting to see discussions about it in typical adhd spaces. idk i guess i was just never as scared about it as other people (i was always more worried about it not even working for me lol)

well i think patients should always be thoroughly informed about drugs they might take and i don't exempt stimulants from that. however it is very noticeable that many doctors do view stimulants as categorically more dangerous than other drugs, even where the actual risks are comparable, eg, warning patients about the risk of withdrawal symptoms with extended-release stimulants (concerta) but not with SSRIs, which latter are presumed to simply be 'safe' because they don't carry the same stigma as a drug with 'recreational' value lmao. also ime doctors do tend to overstate the risks of addiction wrt stimulants, but again, my position isn't that patients should not be warned about this possibility, but that they should be given accurate information about all drugs and not just DARE-esque fearmongering about the few deemed 'too enjoyable'. like yes it is possible to see a 'classic' addictive pattern of usage with rx stimulants (namely, escalating and compulsive use) but this is very rare at standard prescribed dosages, and the idea that you could just wake up one day hopelessly Addicted To Stimulants is basically war on drugs propaganda. the risk of withdrawal issues (uh sorry, 'discontinuation syndrome') is more real but applies to many many many drugs that are prescribes for a billion different reasons. so again, something you should definitely be aware of and warned about, but not exactly a danger unique to stimulant-class drugs.

Diluc had been looking around the lesser patroled areas of Mondstadt to search for the Architect

He didn't even need those incompetent knights to tell him their god had finally descended

He already saw the signs long before Mondstadt

Bc youve been in Wolvendom, the area has flourished over time, more fish in the water, more game to hunt and bigger, crows making circles in the sky despite there being no corpse

And one of the closest places to you,

Is the Dawn Winery.

Diluc's security against Venti began to hold up better, the staff didn't have to clean as much things like dirt or weather damage to the manor,

His hawk had never been faster delivering his letters, he almost thought the little guy had been drugged with something

He patroled Stormterror's Lair, and deep in the woods surrounding the manor that the knights hadn't bother to go into

Afterall, he figured you'd never had a mortal form before, so u were unlikely to fend for urself for very long in the woods lol

so he wanted to find u quick (aww softy :')

He even made a trip out to the Thousand Wind Temple and Dragonspine (he did report that one to the knights, he didn't want Amber, Bennett, or Creator-forbid Klee, being the few pyro users to have to explore it)

Finally, after doing the further away locations, siginificant in history and rich with leftover magic

Diluc figured that's where you might land first, so he saved Wolvendom for last

It would at least let him check on that wolf kid and maybe get to talk to him long enough to ask him if he's seen anything unusual.

He scans the woods, and figures he'll search the woods besides the path after he gets to that old stone carved pit-

Diluc sniffs the air, and squints deeper into the forest

The black branches shade the way ahead, but just barely... he can see the flicker of orange and blue light?

He summons his claymore, bracing it on his shoulder, and creeps into the treeline to better hide him

You look around the piles of fluffy doggos, happy and stuffed full they r slowly forming puppy piles

Andrius is finishing his meat platter, also sitting on all four legs on the ground

Razor is splayed on his back beside you, eyes closed, his feet sticking out the other side of the table, u chuckle at him

But not a single Lupical seems to be looking at you.

Gulping down your last few bites, you scan the treeline

U refuse to be that bitch in a horror movie where their gut says smth is off and they brush it off or barely look at their surroundings

Turning around to the treeline behind you, u see something... red fur?

U sit up some more, peering over the bushes at the bottom of the trees

You meet a pair of warm brown eyes, widened like they're just as shocked to see you

As u notice his familiar red high ponytail (but also not?? Its weird going from 2D to 3D and still recognizing bitches)

U peer down at his chest, as he carefully stands out of the foliage-

That familiar star shaped button that u can press for the character menu screen, the same thats on Razor, on Benny, on Fischl, on Lisa-

Hovers over Diluc's chest.

Diluc is in the bush, observing the human(???) stranger (he really doesnt want to attract the attention of that.. giant spirit wolf thing)

The figure sitting at a ... table?? (He can barely process all these absurdities at once, hes only got so much brain space)

Has sensed his presence, and as he grips his claymore, ready to demand answers,

Razor startles, and jumps up, smelling the pyro user, he summons his weapon-

The figure locks eyes with him, and all he sees is gold.

Diluc drops his claymore.

1) i swear i thought i was following this blog already😭?? 2) ok so im going to detract a little more the skam austin context bc frankly i don't rmbr much BUT i feel like the point zoya/the writers were trying to touch on was .

Well let's use makeup as an example: if we were to say 'everybody wear whatever makes you comfortable because ur doing it for urself!!!' (not a bad statement! i (largely) agree w it!) it would certainly empower some people make them comfortable when going out, like some people would feel like they were able to stop feeling like they had to wear make up at all, others would feel very confident to do rlly detailed looks in public, and another group would continue to wear make up all the time bc they don't feel comfortable in their own skin.

The problem w the 'everybody wear what You want!!' statement comes when some people from the large group refuse to acknowledge that the reason they feel like they have to wear makeup all the time is because society made them feel inferior without it specifically because the current society (heavily influenced by the patriarchy blah blah) decided women look better with fuller lips, their eyes look bigger/more attractive with eyeliner, red rosy cheeks makes them look younger etcetc you get the idea. SO basically lots of women for centuries did this to look beautiful which attracted men and yadda yadda ..........

SO BASICALLY in my opinion zoya's comment implying that the lipstick AustinNoora wore, the tight clothes she wore etc all may have been worn w the Intention of 'i’m doing this for myself! bc i feel good! not for men!' but that AustinNoora failed to recognize lipstick is popular for women bc they look more attractive to men bc it draws attention to the lips, tight clothes are attractive to men bc it shows off the body and leaves men wanting more/leaves them something to think abt etcetc....

w the comment of 'you Should wear loose clothes' etc i feel like zoya was saying 'if you really believed in the feminism you preach, you would recognize that some things women conventionally wear like make up did originate for the male gaze' not that she was actually telling her to dress a certain way...

SO ALL IN ALL my thoughts is wear whatever obviously but kinda do it consciously yk. like am i wearing makeup bc i like how it looks on me or am i wearing it bc i know men will flirt w me and i like when i have their attention (wearing makeup on a night out to get attention from men [assuming ur straight] isn't necessarily the problem, but if your Primary intention is that, regardless of whether or not you like the way u look in make up... that's a problem !)

IDK! if that made the most sense but that's my take on it ??? okiiii so anyway its my birthday tofay 😜😜 and for my bday weekend we went to chicago since its pretty close to where i live and i thiight it would be fun but sometjkng about me is just that i hate being away from home like idk i just love my room so idk why i wanted to do thid for my bday but ANYWAY.

friday and saturday were oretty fun even tho its so cold out but ive had an overall good time! the obly downside is my DAD bro. i dont think hes ever experienced true happiness in hus life bc if any tiny bad thing happens he gets so MAD and for NO REASON. i try to stay happy but its literally such a mood killer like how am i supoosed to enjoy my time wjen ur over here bitching and complaing about not getting the corner booth like. get over pls shut up i wanna be happy.

and then today i thoight we were gonna go to this museum and then meet up with my brither to go to the sears/willis tower but it got completely changed and i was so confused and we didnt do anytbing k wanted to do that day. like i wanted kbbq as my bday dinner like it was the MAIN reason i wanted to go to chicaho but they switched uo and said it was too far away. like okay then… im like fine whatever just choose some place else bc idk what i want and i dont wanna decide and THEY KEPT ASKING ME AND BOTHERING ME LIKE PLS LEAVE ME ALONE. and then we were just walking around everywhere trying to fund a place to eat and i was getting annoyed so i just said olay i wanna go here, AND THEY JUSR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE EVEN THO THEY WERE ASKING ME WHERE I WANTED TO GO??? pls.. jusg make up ur mind. and then when we finally got to a place bc i was like yall im tired lets just go to fresking shake shack they starting bitching about the prices and i get we dont have a lot of money but it just made me feel so guilty??

I guess CB fans already talk abt this a lot— or do they? tbh i dont rlly see much Cap comic talk from CB fans.. but tbh that's prob for the best b/c they are...... so bad, esp w/ this topic. they only had one decent story that had potential w/ WS in the aughts + the shieldra plot before going into their American BS —but nyways mayve its a good thing no one talks abt them bc Captain America comics were already not very good with the hydra-nazi thing but omg why am I finding out that the latest run dilutes/copsout the hydra origins even more....

It's rlly pmo b/c the hydra thing hasn't been treated well/properly ever but they retconned Hydra to be the original "big bad" and just a front for a group that precedes the nazis by decades 🙃🙃 and the amount of dogwhistles and poorly thought out historical references in the names/setup... ihate it!

Things like this r y this is the few times where i say the mcu version is better— up until like civil war or definitely afterwards —b/c at least they— until later on with Z3m0 —kept in mind that the villains are nazis 🙃 The amount of Cold War politics the Cap franchise— and tbh in the Black Widow side too once they started to retcon them together —throws in to make hydra some generic "anti USA" villain and sidestep the whole "hydra being nazis + part of the US government and keeping a major character as an enslaved WW2 POW as a major foundation of Cap mythos" thing. Now they obscure the origins of the hydra stuff even more and its so...... i guess theyre trying to make the whole Captain America schtick seem less bad if the nazi villains the story keeps downplaying/ignoring the impact of just keep getting made to be "less bad" over and over, but I hate it. And i hate even more how these types of stories littered all over the Cap mythos are seen as "not political" by a certain crowd, but theyre very political.it's just that the politics are so trash and distort serious historical references in service to American jingoist conception of history.

[vaguely gestures] and i hate the crowd surrounding it! i really like characters from the cap universe (sam/bucky/misty/nat) but it's literally impossible to read because it's so. so. so ..
