Hmmmmm I dont particularly hate them, but I have some opinions that people might not like and I'm aware there's a lot of uh sensitive people in this fandom, so I never said them unprompted

But since you asked!

Alastor

Let's start with the infamous Alastor. I think he's a very entertaining character! His horde of simps annoy tf outta me when they're being misogynistic and homophobic towards Chaggie and Vaggie, but I quite liked him when I make myself forget certain parts of the fandom. He's funny and conniving and intriguing. The fact that he apparently sold his soul is super interesting to me. I'm on board with the people theorizing that he sold his soul to Lilith. I bet he's cozying up with Charlie so that he can use it to break his contract somehow. Feel like he also used the deal with (presumably) Lilith so that he could be strong enough to be the overlord he became.

With that being said, I'm really surprised with the direction they took with him. You'd think that with him being a favorite of the showrunner and the fandom, he would probably be portrayed as the coolest mf in hell. But I really like that it isn't really the case within the show. Certain denizens dont even know him and older overlords like Zestial seems to scare him and Carmilla just dgaf about him. Hell, Alastor's loss to Adam was a lil embarrassing ngl. Like. I know he's one of the oldest human souls and that's why he's powerful but... It's Adam.

Something about him that I noticed is that he seems to be more bark than bite. In particular in his duet with Lucifer, initially Lucifer had the upper hand because he's objectively more powerful, humiliating Alastor with his angel magic, but what Alastor used to his advantage was his words and charisma, as can be expected of a radio host. He's always taunting his enemies, but does it actually make him stronger than them? He "won" that duet with Vox but Valentino said Alastor only"almost beat" him when they had an actual fight. He ruffled Lucifer's feathers but at the end of the day Lucifer is still leagues more powerful than him. He talked big when he was fighting Adam but he almost died and had a breakdown over it.

He's really a lot less "cool" than I expected the show would have him be portrayed as. Kinda pathetic honestly, how he's so insecure and angry whenever he isn't the strongest guy in the room. And i actually really like that! He reminds me a lot of Rumplestilstkin from Once Upon a Time.

Something I kinda hesitate to say tho is... I dont want him redeemed. I dont want him to actually care about the hotel crew and change his ways. I like him as the fucked up man he is and really want to see how fucked up he can be, just so that if he ends up being the huge antagonist, his downfall would be all the more satisfying. Like yunno that moment when Light/Kira was finally defeated? I wanna feel that again.

Angel Dust

I love him! We found his dialogue a lil annoying at first in ep 1 but the writers did a lot better in ep 2. He's a neat guy. His character gives interesting implications for me as to what makes a person a sinner in this show. While you have people like Alastor who obviously ended up where they did because a cannibal murderer, I get the feeling Angel ended up in hell because he was abusing his own body, which is a sad thing to think. If I remember right from my own catholic upbringing, abusing the body is considered a sin because your body is a temple. To think that Angel could be in hell for poisoning himself, not for harming others, is just sad man. I look forward to seeing more of his journey.

I'm not touching on how his SA was tackled btw. While I'm a victim of sexual assault myself, what i experienced was far from what Angel does on a REGULAR basis,so I don't feel like i have any personal or professional right to say anything about it. Not every victim's case is universal anyways. All I can say is, his line about purposefully damaging himself so he could be broken enough to no longer be Valentino's "favorite toy" hit me harder than I ever expected this show to.

Husk

Confession: I... I dont feel all that attached to Husk at all, I am so sorry Husk stans 😭

Okok that feels so mean to say I'm so sorry. I actually hesitated to say anything because I dont want to hurt people's feelings. But since you guys are asking and I dont like not being genuine, I'm telling the truth.

A lot of my feelings about Husk is heavily affected by the fandom anyways to be perfectly fair. Why? Because a lot of criticisms against Vaggie is easily applicable to Husk, maybe even more so, and yet I dont see even the same level of hate towards him that Vaggie received because his chemistry with Angel is so much better than Chaggie... Apparently...

I just dont see Husk as a character outside of being a plot device for Angel's development yunno? I get it, he isn't a main character like the main 4 are(Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, and Angel), i just find it hard to well and truly like him because of the fandom's double standards. When we found out someone was gonna die in the finale, my brother and I actually thought it was gonna be him because he doesn't have a big enough role to play in the plot to be a HUGE loss, but has a significant enough connection to a main character to have an EFFECT. He very much just felt like the love interest for Angel and nothing else. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but is frustrating when i see sooo many people label Vaggie as such(when she isnt!) and hate her SO MUCH for it.

I wanna see more of him tho I really do. Like the man used to be an overlord. He said he wanted to find someone who could relate to "the gruesome ways in which he's damaged" but what does that even mean? Yes i know about the castration but aside from that what suffering is Alastor putting him thru when all he has to do is be a bartender rn? There must be more and I wanna see it and finally feel for him.

Nifty

I love her a lot. That's it. The character ever. Her gremlin energy reminded me so much of Peridot, it's great. Kimiko Glenn did a fantastic job as the comic relief character and I hope she gets her own song next season. Her basically being everyone's little sister was kinda adorable even tho she's probably the scariest person in that hotel next to Alastor. I hope she gets to stab Valentino next. Just kill that MOTHerfucker

tuesday 12:40pm — jungwon’s house

“JUNGWON STOP CHEATING.” yn screamed, continuously pressing the x on the controller.

“IM NOT EVEN CHEATING. YOU JUST SUCK.” the boy laughed so hard his stomach started hurting.

the two have been playing games for a good 2 hours since they couldn’t go out and do whatever they wanted to. the sounds of laughing, tapping due to the controller, and smacking noises from yn kicking the boy filled throughout the room.

they were really starting to get along, the sight of a new bond opened for these two without them even realizing it.

yn threw jungwon’s controller on his bed out of frustration. she hated losing and thats all shes been doing since she started playing against him.

jungwon placed his hand on the girls thigh and lightly tapped it. “stop being so upset.”

yn scrunched her nose, “shut up.”

“its not my fault you suck.” jungwon said, earning another kick from yn. the boy bursted out laughing once again as he fell over. he really enjoyed being around yn, these interactions really confirmed his feelings for her.

the door cracked open revealing jungwon’s mother. she had a plate of beautifully cut fruit for the two.

“you guys seem to having fun.” mrs yang said, placing the plate down on the table the two were sitting at.

“yes! your son is being so annoying though.” yn said, grabbing a fork and sticking it into the fruit to be plopped into her mouth.

mrs yang chuckled, ruffling jungwon’s hair. “thats just how he is when he likes someone.” and with that, she walked out leaving the two alone once again.

yn froze, glancing at jungwon who had also stopped moving due to his mothers words.

“you like me?” the girl questioned, as she ate another fruit.

jungwon was completely taken aback. was he going to tell her now? he already told himself he was going to wait to see if sunghoon liked her. but like, his mother already sold him out…

the boy just nodded. leading back against his bed, trying to look as unbothered as he possibly could.

yn found this cute, him being flustered because of her question was amusing.

the girl placed down her fork and crossed her arms. she just stared at him. he gulped, not knowing what she was thinking.

“i like you too. but ask me out when were both back on a balcony.” the girl smiled at the boy, throwing her leg over him as she wrapped her hands around him— catching the boy off guard.

the boy hummed in response.

“you remember how pretty the balcony was, right?” yn said, she was now sitting on top of him staring deeply into his eyes.

“of course i do, i also remember making out with you.” jungwon smirked, wrapping his arms around the girls waist.

yn hit jungwon’s chest playfully. jungwon just smiled, he was relieved that there feelings were mutual.

now he just had to find a way to ask her out.

SO i was listening to a song my sister like (Valerie, Amy Winehouse) and there's this line about ginger hair and it was just so specific ig it stuck with me? so im thinking man who do i know with red hair...DUH KUWABARA!!!

nearly every song i listen to gets assigned a character or ship or relationship of some sort idk why but yeah once i fixated on the hair i was able to expand on the rest of the song and a sort of idea settled in the back of my head about kuwameshi

we all know kuwabara is always the one getting left behind but what if while he's off doing his thing yusuke also feels that sense of loss? an absence even though it was his decision to up and leave. it makes no sense cos hey! you felt the need to go back to the demon realm bro but he cannot help how he feels left behind in some illogical sense. i made some notes 😤😤

centers round the time where yusuke goes back to makai after the whole sensui debacle and kuwabara is getting his education studying in prep for college (hell yeah boy !!) not sure if the timelines even match up like that but i literally dont care

i'm working under the canon divergence that keiko really did decide she's not gonna wait for urameshi like that but ofc she's still his bestie and he loves her sooooo much <3

so he's going back. he's a demon now so he feels drawn to the culture. it's a side of himself he's never known after feeling so othered ofc he's interested right?

i mean sure he grew up with other humans but almost everyone hated him/was scared of him ironically he was called a demon or monster or wtv

reactions like that are why he almost decided not to come back to life in the first place!! it wasn't a welcoming atmosphere and even his home didn't feel great cos his mom isn't exactly the mothering type

and like. last time he was in the demon world kuwa was WITH him yknow? like yeah the world was ending but it feels weird without him even if he is having a blast fighting with his new demon buddies and acquaintances

so he's a little distracted when he literally came here to fight he cant even focus on it

"how is college prep treating him? are the teachers there just as bad as middle school? did he make new human friends? a girlfriend?" basically he's spiraling over changes he might be missing out on this very moment

there's a bunch of talk in the song where the singer wonders if valerie dyed her hair if she's busy if she ever paid that fine if she sold her house if she got a man so that's where i got it lol

yusuke doesn't have to worry about kurama and hiei cos hey they're from here and have lived way longer and they actually do visit but who knows what typa shit could be happening to kuwa right now

ofc he can take care of himself he's really strong but yusuke can't help but remember that time he let kuwabara go when he shouldn't have and he almost died because he wasn't there and yeah. he's worried. sue him

so it's half worry half wistfulness and maybe some other secret third thing and when hiei and maybe kurama (depending on how the idea forms as i write) come to visit or maybe they're also participating wtv

he cant help but think well kuwabara could be here with us if he really WANTED to :/ he's got the jigen to down pat by now so...why hasn't he...

and those old but ever remaining insecurities resurface about how people don't wanna be around him they think he's a nuisance at best no good waste of time a trouble maker. keiko already dumped my sorry ass so who knows maybe kuwabara just...wisened up

and he seems to just trail off and it just gets quiet and a little sad and hiei isn't looking at them anymore

kurama starts again pretty cheerfully tho "well, don't worry! i'm planning on staying in the human world for quite some time once i'm done with this visit! i do have the company to take care of so i'll make sure to see kazuma all the time! i'll even send him a message from you if you want to say anything :)"

kurama has deliberately been using kuwa's first name knowing damn well urameshi doesn't even use it because this dude is not JUST a sweetie he's a fucking master manipulator. gaslight gatekeep bbg

yusuke is like okay yeah no new plan i'll just go see him now. no need for a middle man thanks anyway and then he's just gone. left the tournament early. like bruh that's what you came here for 😐

so yeah he's breaking into kuwa's house next thing you know and ofc he goes through the window not the door like a normal person and he just kinda stops short because he hasn't seen his friend in what feels like forever even though it's only been like a year or so but he just looks so different

and yeah a big part might be the hair he's never seen without that popadour, long soft copper coils, and he's somehow even bigger than when yusuke left him jesus when did he get so swole? when did he have time in between all those brainiac classes

yusuke knows he's bound to look a lil different too ofc i mean they weren't kids anymore really but like. when they hell did you go and grow up?

"next time i come back is this even gonna be your house anymore? will you still wanna hang out with dropout delinquent demon urameshi?" he gets so insecure in so little time

anyway kuwabara didn't sense him at first cos yusuke isn't a threat and he never really thought he'd be coming especially not yet but when he does notice

kuwabara just gets the biggest goofiest grin he's like urameshi you dog when the hell did you get back in town you're early!!

and yusuke is significantly eased by this reaction but now he feels stupid cos he up a left everything just to what? bother kuwabara while he studies to achieve his dreams? yusuke has got no human world aspirations like keiko had. like kurama has. like kuwabara.

and ofc kuwabara looks glad to see him but he wasn't desperate enough to just show up like yusuke had just done and he feels like a pathetic loser so he pouts

he's like yeah hey man just uh. checking in. and i should probably check out hah you seem busy with your books so im gonna scram and he tries to retreat through the window

and ofc kuwa is NOT letting him get away

and there's that desperation yusuke had selfishly wanted to see. kuwabara had just grabbed him without thinking even though he'd promised himself when urameshi left he wasn't gonna just sit around waiting for his life to start when he came back

he remembers when yusuke took him into that headlock and he wanted to succeed like he said he would that day

but still he's just thinking about urameshi all the time and it's awful. he always said he was gonna beat him some day but he just wanted to be near him. but all he sees is his back, even right now

So in dnd canon player characters CANT turn into devils. And in fact, if bg3 went by regular rules, wyll would just have been punished by having a few devil features

But the game INSISTS his soul was dragged thru hell and he's a devil now

Tbh this makes no sense bc he doesn't look like any of the many kinds of devils. He just has horns and a tiefling eye

But there are fun ways to play with wyll and being a devil regardless

As well as the fact that his "soul" is owned by a devil

So here's a quick round up of some of my own homebrew wyll is an actual devil now hcs

Wyll is naturally lawful good. As a devil, he is tempted ever more by violence and taking advantage of others, but also "deals." While wyll cannot make a contract himself, he is hungry and greedy for high emotional connection and intimate promises. His own charred, damaged, and sold soul longs to nibble and draw the energy off of others, almost vampirically.

He doesn't act on these feelings. It doesn't mean he doesn't have them. Wyll even before the transformation was a person about control and repression. He thought he could CHOOSE and take advantage of his powers with mizora, the tadpoles, etc. Ironically, it may be his transformation into a devil and the want to make "deals" that helps nudge him in the direction of wanting to deal with mizora more to get out of his contract

Physical symptoms

Devils are hot, devils are smelly. Wyll is not used to his own blood and heat and smell. Its overwhelming. He feels feverish near constantly, he's almost always slightly damp with sweat

The weight of his horns and the new positions he has to sleep in give him headaches, and muscle aches. Hes used to being sore, but this is a new extra level hes not used to

In general I have the hc that bc mizora had a grip on his soul---he felt an icy grip in his chest and stomach all the time that made him feel uncomfortably full all the time, sometimes to the point of nausea

Now he STILL has that, but now he also feels hungry all the time, in a way food can't fill

There's also in general mood swings

Wyll is a very clean person who takes great care of himself and the way he presents himself

As a transmasc person going thru a THIRD puberty of sorts, he is now even more methodical about his skin care routine. He hates how much he sweats and he hates how he smells and he hates that his teeth don't fit in his mouth and he has to practice saying all the pretty things he wants to say even more than he already does in his head

Also its a cop out he turns back into a human, thats boring, these changes are just Forever and he gets used to them

In general I think wyll is growing wings! For a fun treat. Over time, wyll will be able to develop his own powers as a devil. He doesn't have mizora, but also he doesn't need her. He has claws and fangs and can develop his own magic if he practices. He doesn't know how to, so this would be an extremely long process that would probably only take place in his blade of avernus path

Tho he doesn't realize it he is now also functionally immortal except if he is killed in Hell

Why would mizora do this to him, u ask. Give him all this power. Its clearly not just a punishment

Well he wasn't supposed to get out of his contract... it was just a sneak preview of his life when he died and got sent to the blood war. These past 7 years wyll HAS been fighting the blood war as one of zariels minions honestly. I dont think mizora or zariel ever thought he would legimately break his pact. And even if he did. Hes a 26 year old human with a good, good, self sacrificial heart who thinks he can take on any evil and HAS to. Hes easy to manipulate

And furthermore. I think zariel and mizora have been watching "the heart of baldurs gate" all his life just waiting to strike

There are ends for wyll where he's in a pact with a devil, and is a devil, and is the grand Duke of baldurs gate

Even if wyll ISNT the grand Duke of baldurs gate

His father talks about being hellstouched himself now! (A story for another time, he says)

Wylls Origin bio straight up says he's a pawn in a war he doesn't understand

Will we ever know the hells plans for wyll! No! But I doubt even getting out of his pact is as big a wrench in mizora and zariel's plans as we are led to believe. If mizora legit cared that wyll wasn't in a pact anymore. Why is she still fucking here. (Go away no one wants u here wench. But I digress.)

I know I’m annoying abt ojv Stan’s sobriety, but it’s really, really important to me. I may have started the OrangeJuiceVerse because I saw this art of basketball Kyle and mascot Stan, but Broken Bottles From Apartment 2 is what actually solidified that au as an ongoing thing, and Stan’s sobriety is a cornerstone of that story.

As referenced in the aforementioned story, Stan stopped drinking at 25, and why? Because one day, a week or so after Kyle’s birthday, Stan had been off work and had been pulling from his secret bottle all day, and Kyle’s blood sugar hit a low. So Stan went to make him a KMBS (introduced here) BUT he was way drunker than he thought he was, and forgot how many ice cubes go in, and it hit him that if he was forgetting things like that, the drinking was a real problem.

Y’all it was SO bad Stan literally collapsed on the floor crying and Kyle’s like “dude dude WHAT what the fuck is it” meanwhile his dexcom is beeping and he fully forgot to eat at lunch bc work was busy so he’s also not doing well Stan is like “KY I DONT REMEMBER” they’re on the floor beside the fridge and Kyle is yanking it open and they’re sharing a bottle of Gatorade and Stan finally just spills EVERYTHING about how scared he is of his drinking habits, how like “yeah I know I’ll have a couple beers at night but it’s MORE than that” and Kyle is mentally REELING bc he didn’t think it was this bad, Stan is sobbing, Kyle is trying not to, Moose is curling his tiny cat body on Stan’s lap, they are all LITERALLY on the kitchen floor it’s the most heartbreaking scene you’ve ever witnessed.

And that night, Stan swears off alcohol. He dumps his vodka down the sink. He calls out of work and rides out the withdrawals over the next few days. A very freaked out Kyle is also calling out of his job to take care of him and he’s fucking terrified the whole time. But when Stan’s on the other side of the physical part? The self loathing tries to take him.

Kyle is fucking BEGGING him to go see one of his therapist friends, but Stan won’t do that, so Kyle’s like “okay it’s either that or we’re going to AA” and Stan picks AA bc even though he hates the idea of it (he went with his dad once when he was 9 and Randy Jackass Marsh got a dui) it feel less daunting than therapy.

And Stan winds up LOVING AA. Everyone at the local chapter is super chill. Ky goes with him the first few times, someone brought their dog, and this old man came up to him at the end, and they talked long after everyone had left Ye Olde Meetin Hall. Stan found his people in this group, despite being one of the youngest there, and that community is really important in his life. When he found out a few of them did an annual camping trip, that’s what really sold him on the whole thing.

So OrangeJuiceVerse Tweek comes into the picture abt 2 years after Stan stops drinking, and THAT was the thing that made me write BBFA2. Stan is THE support group king in the later OJV, and he just wants to help everyone, he’s Tweek’s sponsor, when they hit meetings it’s so kickass fuck I love them. The old geezers at the group are so fucking funny too, Tweek was terrified but stan told them they gotta chill out before he brought twerk.

Moose regularly comes to meetings and is a huge hit, they do a Birthday Night potluck every month (stan gets made fun of for not eating meat), and there’s not a single actually judgemental person there. Like Stan and Tweek are both in long term relationships with other men, and they’re in assfucknowhere Colorado, but the ONE homophobic asshole got put in his place REAL fast by everyone else there. When Tweek showed some people a pic of his husband the middle aged lady beside him at the table was like DAMN SWEETIE that’s one handsome man! Lmfao I gotta write a snippet of the ojverse aa group.

I'm actually thinking of reading the uncensored version of that manga even if the art style is not my cup of tea. The plot says it is about an orphaned girl who went to look for her mother and travels with a robot in a scary dangerous world called Abyss. I'd like to find out why it won awards, got animated movies and was translated into other langauges (censoring is a lot of work, the plot should be interesting and sellable for Korean editors to go through the trouble).

The antis who created the controversy in the first place and those who run with it are hypocrites. They try to destroy a person's life over a photograph and fictional story. Whatever is in the manga is fake, not real, printed in ink on paper, it is sold with a warning label. The antis act in real world, try to harm real people, bring distress to real fans of idols, they are the ones who do evil, not the readers of the manga.

Taeyong will go into the military soon. He will be taught how to fire guns and throw grenades. He will be trained for a potentional job of killing other people (in case North Korea attacks). And "fans" pretend that an adult reading gore manga in his leasure time is something to get nauseous about. No, it's just bullies bullying or narcissists thriving on making other people suffer emotionally.

Forget Japanese manga. Let's start with video games like shooters and super hero series, were the "good guys" kill left and right. Last time I checked, League of Legends had some child-looking champions that were to be maimed as everyone else. And wasn't Harry Potter a minor when he was tortured with Dark spells? This "Made in Abyss" thing is yet another case of antis and click-bait sites making a fuss over cooked up "problematic behavour" to gain some profit. Question about your OCs! Would you like to ramble a bit about how your characters ruin their lives for the better? I've been curious about their conflicts and effects, but haven't known what to ask about exactly, so here's an invitation if you have a rant locked and loaded!

oh anon you've made a mistake!!! i didnt have a rant locked and loaded but im ready to make one!!!!

im also nervvy about talking about my ocs at length for some reason so under the cut it goes!

SO our main characters here are avi, lee, skylar, and will.

avi gets kidnapped, experimented on and given wings, and put in a zoo with lee, who has had the same thing happen to him. he helps calm her down and the two are at the zoo together for 3 months before they're able to break out. avi gets recaptured but lee escapes and finds solace with a human named skylar who helps him jailbreak avi. during that time, avi meets will, who she takes with her when lee rescues her.

that's the short version of what happens, so lets dig into it. :3

avi is, obviously, scared and panicked about whats going on, doing everything she can think of to escape. during an attempt, she ends up injuring herself pretty bad and fucking both herself and lee over by getting their food rations cut to the bare minimum. by the end of the first week, she's just a nervous wreck.

but lee is there too. and the thing about him is that he's been there for three months by himself before avi got there. he's dealt with this alone, so he's learned how to suppress the worst of the bad thoughts. he doesnt tell her this, but avi coming to the zoo literally saved his life. he was planning to kill himself until she showed up. so he feels like he owes her a life debt because of it

so he helps her through until their lives of being zoo animals become not exactly normal, but a routine. something familiar. with the help of one of the friendlier vets, they escape. their priority is to go home, so avi suggests they go to the closest police station to get help. which would have been fine, but while talking to an officer, he realizes that these arent scared and starving kidnapping victims, these are escaped zoo animals.

they run but avi gets shot and cant escape with lee so he has to leave her to be taken back to the zoo, where they remove both the bullet and her vocal cords to keep her from talking about what happened, should she ever escape again.

lee hates himself for leaving her. he fucking hates himself. she saved his life, and he leaves her and basically condemns her to death. while throwing his pity party, he meets skylar. they recognize him from the zoo but quickly assure him that they have no intention of returning him. he explains that avi is still there and they agree to help him break her out.

during this, avi is waking up in recovery. her voice is gone and she cant even walk because of the bullet wound, so will is assigned to watch over her and make sure she doesnt rough herself up or cause any trouble

will is a hybird too. his parents sold him to the zoo when he was six. the zoo experimented on him, giving him cat eats, a cat tail, and a whole lot of trauma. he's mean, bitter, and angry, angry most at avi and lee. because of them, the one and only person who has actually cared about him in 14 years has been fired, and he'll never see her again.

and yet, he feels for avi. its hard to hate someone when they're sobbing and shaking and still pale from blood loss. they spend time together, avi learns about him, and when the time comes to escape again, avi invites him to join the group. he accepts. hesitantly, but he accepts and leaves.

during the escape, lee loses skylar. the last he sees is someone grab their arm and then they both disappear into the hysteric crowd. none of them know this yet, but the zoo decided that since they lost three hybrids they'll just use skylar. much further down the line, they dont mind it much. but they cant go back home like this. they're going to miss their brother. and their room. their home.

wow that got rambley fast, but that's most of the first arc in a nutshell. in the context of the "stories where your life is ruined" post, the characters are:

avi: Stories where your life being ruined saves someone else’s life./ Stories where bad things happen, and you know it’s your fault, but you know you couldn’t change a thing, even if you wanted to, because that would mean fundamentally changing yourself.

lee: Stories that are full of turning points, places in the story where everything could have been different, better, if only you had said something else, and you have to see how that one misspeak ripples out and effects everything.

skylar: Stories where your life being ruined saves someone else’s life.

will: Stories where you are happier, but so much worse after the story ends.

We just recently discovered that our property we bought is well known as the slaughterhouse. The name itself makes your skin crawl, we didn’t know the horrors that took place in this home, we just knew that the previous owners did nothing but upgrades to the house itself and were wanting to sell it. It was right around our price range and perfect for our family and a fresh new start. 

we truly believed we got a great deal for places like this dont go for as cheap as this one did and never last Long on the market and this one was on the market for almost a year until we bought it.

We aren’t fully moved all the way for we still have items that haven't arrived yet from our old location but we moved in that same day we got the keys and started putting things away and setting up the kids rooms and once we got all that done we started working on the outside.

We noticed some things were off on the property but didn’t think too much of it until a local neighbor stopped by who is also a farmer to welcome us into the country neighborhood and told us the horrors that took on in this place.

it took everything in me to hold back tears from the things he told us. He said I can’t believe the “SlaughterHouse” actually sold. We all were happy when it went up for sale but no one around here wanted to buy it, and we knew someone not local would end up buying it, and we were worried about who the outsiders would be buying it but let me tell ya we are all happy to see that you guys bought it, you have made the place look a lot better in the short time you have moved in by cleaning up around the place, he said just be careful on where you dig, it’s an animal graveyard. It was a guaranteed place for animals to be tortured and to be slaughtered. the local town folks call this place the Slaughterhouse but don’t let its name scare you, I don’t think this house has felt love and happiness like it does now. 

We asked him what he meant by being tortured. He said I am sure you heard about the big dog fight ring that got shut down in this area, I said yeah we were warned by some of my hubby's work friends that live outside of this area told us about a dog fight operation and warned us to keep an eye out for our dogs for a lot of dogs around the area were missing and were most likely used in the operation. He said yeah well that happened right here inside this home and it was one of the biggest dog fight rings to ever exist in this area. 

it all started to make sense to us. it explained all the claw marks on the floors, the blood stains on the basement floor and the replacement they did to the living room floor, and how we found multiple meat cleavers, blood knives, bullet castings all over the ground on the property and multiple meat hooks hanging in the out buildings. 

it made my stomach turn knowing that all this happened in our home that we just purchased and me being such a huge animal lover it made me so sad. He also said that they would abuse their animals and would torment and torture them and then slaughter them for meat. We asked if it was cattle and chickens, he said it was all animals. even horses. 

He also told us to be careful on where we dig he said the whole property is a animal graveyard. He said every time we drove by the property it felt like death and it was a death sentence to poor innocent animals. He said “ I hate to admit it, but my dog that was missing was probably used for their operation and is buried somewhere on your property” 

Once people realized our address and the place we bought people started asking us what it’s like living in the slaughterhouse and asked if we found animal remains yet on the property and in the house. Knowing that we are living in a animal graveyard is upsetting as it is. 

we know that this place has it’s fair share of blood and horrible history and we hope we can make the slaughterhouse name disappear and make new memories in this home filled with happiness and love which we can tell this house hasn't felt that in a long time. 

And people have even told us when they drove by when the previous owners lived here and that gate was always closed they had a deep dark eerie feeling, and when they drove by to see who was moving in and seeing that gate open they had to stop by to tell us that it was the first time in 25 years that they haven't felt a deep dark and eerie feeling and that the place seemed to have more of a happier feeling to it. 

Every home has its story and dark secrets and its usually a good thing houses can’t talk, cause if they could they would tell all that happened inside it’s walls. We love our home and property and have so many big plans for it to make it our dream home. And even though the town folks call it the SlaughterHouse we hope we can make the name fully disappear and we decided to give our property a new name since we are going to turn it into a working farm that we wanted to give it a cute farm name.

I was wanting to name it Sunfield Farm but my hubby said no. so I am asking for some recommendations on what to name our little farm and we are going to put a metal sign with our farm name above the gate to give it a brand new name and look to it. in hopes to drop the scary name it has now.

I just finished season 4 and im. Im ruined. Ive already watched the show like 6 times btw but FUCK. GOD DAMN

Blaine being truly honest for the first time in as long as we've known him by telling angus he made the sign from god, only to get a reality check when his dad isnt as selfish and cowardly as he is, except thats such a mindfuck because his dad is a horrible awful child abusive son of a bitch, and it must have been so confusing to watch the church devour fraud bater under angus's orders. How eagerly angus watches blaines reaction, how he so hopes that makes up for everything, its sickening. Especially at the end of their arc where if i got it correctly, enzo sold them out? Told FMG they'd be coming and led them to a trap? And we saw angus and his flock get shot down. I cant help but feel bad for blaine

Peyton refusing to let FMG get away with moving up the time of the execution, marching into that studio and taking iver the broadcast, being the REASON people SHOWED UP at the warehouse and being right there with johnny fucking frost of all people, and ravi right by her side.

Major leaping over the crowd of soldiers to tackle chase, raging out completely and rightfully after all the shit he had to do for what he believed to be the right cause, only for the leader of that cause to spit in his face by trying to execute the love of his life. Because despite everything they still love eachother still and major is so goddamn pissed hes not gonna let another person murder his kids and get away ith it (even tho we saw so little of captain seattle i do not rememebr his actual name. Or jordans half the time)

Liv's stone cold expression at pulling the level and crushing chase's skull, and being so right about it too. Still tho, it wasnt enough to bring levon back, just like every time she tries to do the thing she thinks is right, someone she loves dies for it. When she tries to shoot blaine on sniper brain but cant, lowell tries to and gets killed. When she saves the chaos killer victims and clive from dying to a zombie, that zombie just had to be drake. When she tries to help human-zombie relations (misguidedly) and save lives by being renegade, she gets a front row seat to levons head being crushed. Her pain is so real idec chase is done with. It wasnt a good ending for her and i can feel that so clearly, even with that hopeful ending scene

My friend and I talked abour how selfish Liv can be when we started watching together (her first time), but how selfish can someone be when they give up the cure for their ailment twice for other peoples happiness?

And Chase. God. That entire decline during the latter half of the season was brutal. When thwy announced renegades execution and the video came out, he was done it was over, there was truly no coming back from this. He was so out of it at the point of the supporters breaking in that his voice cracks when he shouts at major to stop and when he says dont shoot and hes scrambling wildly for some form of control, in this case a gun that he places his head right on the gillutine. I think its a mercy that he died so painlessly.

At least Dale and Clive got a happy ending to the season though, getting married and getting the cure. Clive calling liv partner when they were saying goodbye in chase's office, it was just so bittersweet

Blaine is a mixed feelings character, he's a fan favourite and he's always enjoyable to watch. Angus on the other hand idk a single soul who likes that bitch. Say what you will about Blaine, but Angus was EVIL. Shout out to Enzo for killing him off fr. We are grateful. All my homies hate Angus.

Also Enzo didn't exactly sell them out, he more completely set them up - he went directly to Blaine and Angus to make sure they went the exact route, made sure he was there for all the final plans, he collaborated directly with the US military to get rid of Angus and his pals. Like it wasn't a split second betrayal it was a planned execution, he knew full well Angus would take the bait and was probably hoping Blaine would too. I'm not sure if it was even an official FG operation because as far as we know, Chase didn't hear anything back from Enzo about the church. He didn't tell the press his name, he was the only FG personnel there - I'm sus that he just took it upon himself to deal with them. King behaviour.

And yeah Peyton was girlboss at the end of season 4 but it's like. When her bestie in danger she got all this proactive shit but when she's acting mayor the energies like half that. Makes me mad.

As for major. Little sympathy. Oh did your child soldiers get killed? Maybe child soldiers are a bad idea? Maybe you wouldn't be upset if you didn't have children as soldiers in the first place? Maybe giving untrained children weapons is guaranteed to go badly and end with them injured or killed? Do you think? Like. Honestly. And the way he was with Levon. Major was weird in season 4 idk. And I disagree with them killing Chase. There's so many worse people in the show that she can't bring herself to kill but Chase she executes without hesitation. He wasn't even that bad. I don't think its very fair for him either. Like he was trying his best to keep Seattle under control, and renegade was actively making everything worse. And if you think he was doing a bad job what came after in season 5? With Major: terrorism and hatecrimes peaked and he did nothing, he made Seattle completely reliant on Blaine who (bless him) is not trustworthy and not a good person and is obviously going to be a controversy. With Enzo: the second he took over, Majors mistakes blow up and Seattle dealing with civil war. Not to mention Enzo isn't great at de-escalation, at any point - not even just when he's in charge, since his introduction he walks in and makes situations worse on purpose (can't help being a girlboss)

As for your question about Liv being selfish - it's shortsightedness. She'll do selfless things that make her feel good but she won't consider the consequences. Stuff like giving up the cure is fine, not really any consequences, she gets to help her friends. The renegade stuff, she gets to scratch sick people and feel good about it - but the whole of Seattle gets closer and closer to dying horribly every time she does. It's like only caring about what's directly in front of her. Irritates me a little tbh. Especially when she's one of the only zombies not experiencing the food shortage so it's just this whole privilege thing while thousands of people are at risk.

Clive and Bozzio are so precious I love them so much they deserve everything. That's all.

Id say Dark knight returns has a lot of advantages that Watchmen does not.

As you note, because it has already established characters, we dont need to be sold on Batman. We just need to know he was gone, and that is in large part why gotham has become even more shitty.

It also manages to keep itself centered around one, single, cronological story about the Dark Knight coming back as opposed to watchmen that jumped all over the place and across time.

Not to say i dont have my problems with DKR.

The damn talking heads isnt a bad concept, and did help set the moor, but their screentime should have been cut in half at some point at the very least, or better yet cut all together. They served their purpose, and yet remained way past their time.

Also the whole Two Face plot is in my opinion a rather nice one, but it has no freaking ending. Like what happened? Did bruce give up on him once and for all? Did he go to jail? Back to arkham? I would really have liked to know. Its a big and iconic part of the story, and yet we have no ending for it.

And then there is the whole nuke plot. Its... Weird. I actually kinda like the idea of america being at the mercy of the USSR's nuclear capabilities for a good long while, and yet the russians dont pull the trigger, because even when they could exterminate the western world(or america at least) they are at the day human beings. But we dont get to see them actually make the decision not to do that. Instead we are told, and the story just sorta moves on.

Also superman absorbing solar powers from flowers is freaking wild man.

And then there is batman shooting that guy to save the kid.

Its a scene im torn on for a whole number of reasons.

On one hand... I can kinda see the idea for this moment. Its basically the whole idea that morrison tried to do with batman shooting darkseid. Putting the man who hates guns more than anything in a position where he has to use a gun, or a child, his charge and protectorate will die.

Its a lot less over melodramatic than magical bullets and batman giving a melodramatic "once in a lifetime exception" speech beforehand, which makes it feel a lot more real.

But on the other hand, the scene doesnt manage to sell it. Neither in selling and making it clear the fact that the punk actually survived(which takes away the biggest issue with this a lot of people have with the scene), nor in having bruce have a moment where he actually takes in what just happened.

Batman beyond episode 1 had this exact scene, and though it handled it by going in the exact opposite direction, it managed to convey the post gun moment in a way DKR should have done something similar as(honestly i wonder if the BB moment wasn't made with this moment in mind as a contrast).

Overall though, i would say DKR is a good batman story. A very good one... But i would not put it amongst the top ones by any means. It has amazing moments, but it's not aged like wine, though as a batman adventure, its aged way better than Watchmen has as a solo tale.

Also i have to agree conpletely with your take on Alan Moore.

Its kinda funny, both Alan and Miller went off the complete deep end, both in the exact opposite direction in large part due to personal politics, with miller going far right authoritarianism post 9/11, while Moore going complete anarchist far left as the years went on. It's just that while Millar's problem is that he's mostly just an asshole, Moore has the problem he's also kinda an asshole(If a lesser one compared to Miller), but whereas Miller went off the deep end methapohorically, Moore went off the deep end very literarily.

The man is genuinely insane, honestly thinks he's a wizard with magical powers and the ability to curse people, and probably should get treatment in a psychiatric ward for his own sake.

That's the difference between the drugs (Moore) and the drink (Miller).

Agreed on the Batman-with-gun moment. It goes by too quickly, isn't clear, and just kind of fades into everything else.

For the Two-Face plot, I don't think we need to see what happens to him afterward, as I believe the point is that his mind is now fully poisoned, so it's inevitable he's going back to Arkham. that wasnt that many videos and the fact that its all holidays and special events isnt at all contradictory with 'he was there for some big events but he wasnt There in our lives', and the fact that this is also just like how home videos tend to work makes them really not convincing "evidence" of a happy childhood. like were u expecting to see videos of her saying she fucking hates her dad and hes never there for her To The Camera. when i was with my moms side of the family obviously you smile for pictures and act cute in front of the camera bc they get mad at you if you dont! also hes REALLY invading their privacy by posting videos that arent even of her and are instead of his other kids who literally have nothing to do with this. ALSO childhood evidence is always going to be skewed in the parent's favor bc the kid straight up isnt old enough to rly be able to advocate for themselves. notice how the videos switch to photos as she gets older meaning we have no idea how they interacted when they talked and the one text message she shows is them interacting rly awkwardly like two distant acquaintances

he stresses their politics differ a lot so my actual projection is that i figure madi as a kid was fine with her dad only showing up for holidays and not really being around and wasnt really thinking about money stuff but then as she grew up she started re-examining their relationship and drifted away from him as he became a sexist bitcoin breakdancer and so eventually she had a negative enough view of him to make a pretty uncharitable video bc if you and your dad had a huge argument over him being a sexist bitcoin breakdancer and then you saw a tiktok challenge about funny trauma you might very well think "oh man. the fact that my dad divorced my mom and then started a breakdancing career is funny as hell. im going to flatten this fairly complicated family history to fit into a tiktok" and then when her dad who she doesnt like anymore made a public response she doubled down bc fuck that guy he hates women. its not like shes sending hitmen to his front door she made a mean tiktok. ppl are acting like this has destroyed his reputation but im gonna go out on a limb and say that the ppl making fun of him for being a deadbeat dad are probably not ppl who otherwise wouldve been fans of a sexist bitcoin breakdancer. i think his core audience was never gonna be shattered by this which i am more sure of bc even before he posted a reply bitcoin bros were gathering around him like protective mother birds. if he didnt want his daughter to disrespect him and re-examine his treatment of her as an adult with a more critical eye, personally i would suggest he be nicer to his daughter and not call her brainwashed or talk about how its all genders fault. i think that would really help convince her to have a more positive view of him

ANYWAY

I promised my little brain I was gonna stop thinking about Comet for a while, (my dumb little dude.)

And when watching YouTube, I got reminded of the Adventure Time Episode, "Thanks for the Crabapples, Giuseppe!"

Specifically, just the poem. And boy. Did I start crying.

What if when Comet dies, he wrote a poem like that for Eris and Hazel?

(btw if you don't know what poem I'm talking about here it is.)

Anyway, if you feel like crying over this man too, here's some angst I wrote for him from an RP.

And here I go, ranting about the parallels between Simon and Comet.

Like okay. I will literally spell it out for you

Both Simon and Comet literally tried to give up their lives (well Comet is actually doing so, he doesn't have a cosmic god of chaos for girlfriend to stop him and make him see reason) for people they barely knew.

Simon with "wanting" to become Ice King again to save an entire universe,

Comet with giving up his soul, his entire life to a demon so that the town he resides in can be protected from a giant threat.

(Comet resides in a fictional town called Uverney. Every resident there is a monster or creature of some kind, and Uverney is meant to be a sanctuary for monsters. But now, there's a group of monster hunters going into the town, and it's not gonna end well.)

Simon doesn't tell Fionna what's gonna actually happen to him when he puts on the crown. Though I don't think this is from selfishness or anything of the sort, perhaps he just doesn't wanna think about it. But STILL!!

Comet doesn't tell his daughters about the deal, or what the price was, he keeps the fact that once it's all over, he's going to die to HIMSELF. He sold his soul to protect an entire town, full of people he barely knows. (I should also mention, he's literally in the dumps right now for a multitude of reasons, the big one being that his coffee shop had been burned down the night before.)

Simon feels his life has no worth or purpose. People literally liked him better when he was consumed by the madness of the crown.

Comet also feels his life has no worth, and now no purpose. If you read the images above, it mentions things he's lost.

Comet lost his dad at 13, after a demon possessed his body and used it to kill his father. He lost friends because not only were they scared of him, but once his dad was gone, he had to move in with his mother. There his only friends were his brother and sister, who cut off contact after Comet turned 18 and left to pursue music.

If you saw my other post about this stupid silly man, you'll know that didn't go well either.

He fell in love with one of the roadie's, a man named Avery. They knew each other for three months, and Comet thought he was in love.

He was, but Avery wasn't.

No, Avery wasn't even a real person, a real name, instead it was a fake name created by the demon Amon, and all he wanted from comet was to use his body as a vessel. (I probably haven't explained or made it clear, Comet is a trans man.)

So this tragic little guy!! He's just. Torn apart! He's got nobody, nothing!! He never lets anyone in again, he tells himself not to fall in love anymore because all that does is hurt him.

(which totally sucks because Comet is absolutely husband material btw)

So yeah. Dumb little witch man. Hates himself a lot.

Simon should have realized that his existence was important after Vampire World, because without Simon there to protect Marceline, the world gets run over by vampires.

Comet doesn't think about all the good he's done for others!! I'll just bring up some events from the rp and some from the canon story.

He finds a girl in the forest with the help of his 4 year old daughter at the time, takes her in and takes care of her. 9 years later, this girl is Eris and her and Hazel are like peas in a pod bro.

(WHICH HERE IS WHERE I'LL MENTION, THERES AN ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE WHERE COMET DOESNT FIND ERIS, AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENS?? SHE BECOMES THE ANGEL OF DEATH!!)

Comet finds two hobos living behind his café, and what does he do? He gives them a job. (this action has consequences later because they're the indirect reason his café burns down later)

Eris finds a kid in her flower pot and another in the forest who needs help?? She uses her teachings from Comet to take them in and help them just as what was done for her.

Comet teaches both Eris and Hazel how to properly use magic to protect themselves.

A bloodied girl shows up on the front porch to his house? Comet brings her in, patches her up, makes her HOT CHOCOLATE AND SOME SANDWICHES, and EVEN OFFERS HER A PLACE TO STAY IN HIS HOME until she can get back on her feet.

He is a good person, even if he thinks he isn't.

Just like Simon, he is important, and if he didn't exist or wasn't around, there would be terrible consequences.

Ok so I started watching Game of Thrones for the first time in my life 4 days ago and accidentally binged it here's my opinions on characters so far (finished s2) unfiltered by The Fandom

Ned - was a great man, I feel so complicated abt his relationship with Cat and his unknown relationship with Jon's mom cuz the way he gets a far away look when talking abt her to Robert makes it feel like he is either super guilty abt it or he cared for her much more than he ever cared for Cat. Bro was so dumb for trying to save Cersei and her bastard kids. Myrcella and Tommen seem nice enough but two nice incest babies doesn't make the one that's killing the entirety of Westeros any better

Cat - so cool love love love, I hate how she doesn't have much agency and when she does it's to release Jaime??? I should probably rewatch the episode tho bc I'm watching the show at work (13hr shifts so I walk away a lot without pausing and get spoiled before rewinding) bc i just dont understand her thought process. I feel so terrible that she doesn't even know if any of her kids besides Robb are alive but freeing Jaime is NOT gonna help imo

Robb - every time I look at him I think abt how similar he looks to Jon like they could be twins dude. He needs to quit having a relationship w that one nurse girl cuz this is war and the only thing that comes from showing the world that you love someone BEFORE YOU WIN is that they need to kill her. Idk how they're gonna do it but she's gonna die. But he's doing so well as the leader of winterfell and I love how Sean Bean lives on in the show and everything he did had meaning and his death wasn't for nothing. Anyways Robb's gonna be a great king but he's totally probably gonna get fucked over by David Bradley and/or his millions of kids

Jon - pretty boring storyline I'm sad to say. It feels soooo slow when he gets on screen. The baby thing was interesting and so is the Pale Man (I'm sure he has a scary name but I wasn't paying attention too well). He IS an interesting character at least his backstory I mean and in relation to Ned and Cat

Sansa - poor sweet girl I cry for her everytime she's on screen can't somebody save her she's like 13 Cersei let her freeeeee. Her actress is so good btw, I really didn't like how she had a crush on Joffrey so quickly but she paid for it when Lady died and continues to pay for having a silly innocent little school girl crush on the worst person to ever be born

Arya - her storyline is the most stressful, like she has a higher chance of dying than anyone else in her family. I do hope her and Gendry can be friends, he already seems like an older brother to her just like assassin guy

Bran & Rickon - I forgot rickon existed a lot. I actually forgot if Bran got his memory back, not like it matters since everyone knows Cersei and Jaime be fuckin. Anyways I'm sure Bran's gonna walk again due to magic or whatever idk why the First One girl is helping him instead of abandoning them too I got soooo stressed when I thought Bran and Rickon died that I didn't realize the farmers kids had died

Theon - rn I wanna shake him around cuz tf bro why would you burn and hang the dead bodies of ANYONE. I have a very black and white way of seeing things so I cannot ever forgive him for the kids sakes and a couple measly gold coins isn't gonna bring the kids back. I really don't care for him or his storyline anymore I thought he was funny with his "Oh I'm such an alpha male, women should fall at my feet cuz imma be king of the world!" Only to get thrown into reality when his sister has more of a right to the throne than he does

Robert - bro should've never gone hunting istg so much would've helped if he survived AND I THINK ACTUALLY THAT THAT OLD MAN DIDNT TREAT HIS WOUNDS SINCE HE PLEDGED AN OATHE TO TYWIN LANNISTER AND SOLD OUT ARYS ROBERT AND TYRION

Cersei - someone said she thinks in the BIG big picture and that doesn't make sense bc shes going out of her way to try and save Jaime from the Starks while trying to deny accusations of their incest. In a way her being such a terrible person makes me like Jaime because of the fact I doubt it was his idea to never interact with those kids. I keep forgetting their his kids too bc of the fact he's never around them or talks to them. Also her killing Jon Arryn was so stupid.

Joffrey - I saw a video on tiktok abt "the kind of person who watches the show from the wrong side" where the guy loves Joffrey and everything he does BEFORE I got to the part where he abused the two sex workers and ran away from a war he caused

Tyrion - he deserves happiness but Shae deserves to be free and now that Cersei is sus of her she's in so much danger. I don't think theyre gonna last and I'm gonna be so sad. I sincerely can't tell if Shae likes him or not and I feel like he's being suuuuper toxic by locking her up when he could've just let her be. When wartime came I was so impressed by him he was so cool. Truly one of the only good, if not THE best Lannister.
