i think there was an ask about father dottore but maybe i hallucinated it i dont know but now i want to talk about it

anyway one of my favorite genres of father dottore is him with an adopted child, especially if his intent is just to have an assistant who's dependent on him. Mainly because he would constantly be telling himself that he shouldn't get attached, reminding the child not to call him "father" or "dad" but rather "doctor". But he ends up getting attached anyway when he sees said child gets super excited seeing something they worked hard on work out as planned. He realizes it and goes "well shit."

I also think the interactions between him and the other Harbingers would be, Really funny.

"There seems to be some mortal instincts that haven't yet abandoned me."

"You got attached."

"You know absolutely nothing about me, shut your mouth immediately."

I don't think he would realize it right away though, maybe he would get upset at the child growing up, trying to show they can do things on their own, like getting breakfast for themselves, he suddenly feels, Really Upset because hes like, "do they not need me anymore?" but then the child can't do a mundane task without his help and he's just mentally, "stupid brat can't even tie their shoes, I'll be fine." I feel like it would only be when he stops correcting the child when they call him "dad" or whatever is when he knows he really got attached.

I feel like, even if he's still reprimanding himself to not feel sympathy or love for the child, he'd keep them away from the more... biological experiments. I feel like probably one of the if not the most intelligent person in genshin impact would acknowledge the type of developmental impact that could have on a 6 year old or something, but he's totally not attached wdym

(x) Il Dottore considers himself someone who's exceptional at predicting things, always many steps ahead, but this is one thing he could have never seen for himself in the future. A child dropped on his doorstep by his fellow Harbinger, adoption papers somehow already signed by that damn banker. The thing staring up at him with wide, curious eyes and also playing with the long glowing thing that hangs from his clothes. Well, this certainly wasn't what he had in store for the year.

In the beginning, he's rather exasperated because what does he do with this child. He barely takes care of himself much less a kid. When the kid starts doing strange kid things how does he deal with that. The child is probably a wee bit scared of him at first (the intimidating stare with his neck craned down doesn't help) but you eventually encourage the bb to try spending time with their "father." When he starts seeing the child peeking through the crack in the door he ignores them at first, but the gasps and awes at all the "cool things" he does, make him leave the door open wider and wider, every day.

And then instead of the doorway, the child is watching from a chair. And then next to him. And then in his arms. And then trying the same things (safely) with their tiny hands. Even you could not have predicted him getting so attached. Pantalone and Bina 100% make fun of him for that, Dottore despises it and it's even worse when they come around and the child is insistent on clinging to him while the two look on in amusement. He doesn't like admitting how he's grown a "small" soft spot for the child, but as the years go by and the fact the child still lives in the lab, it's really obvious.

There have been times when you have walked in on him and the child bonding (although he vehemently denies it). Dottore accidentally fell asleep with the child who's cuddled into his chest, and you just smile before pulling the blankets over and joining them. And he wakes up to his "family." He despises how much this feeling affects him... but he... likes it.

i just think they care so much about each other especially with how loke was treated before with karen but now is treated equals by lucy also i hc that lucy probably helps loke deal with his guilt about karen, helps him move forward whenever he gets episodes and flashbacks

guess depending on what type of clingy were talking here. is it physical? bc then YES

i love to hc haitham as touchstarved and enjoying/seeking physical touch a LOT but only from kaveh (or his love interest) - outside of that, he doesnt like to be touched by strangers etc and with his attitude its not smth that happens anw

at first he doesnt know how to communicate it well enough (bc he doesnt realize right away that he wants to, sometimes its difficult to identify/recognize a feeling or urge you never experienced much before) so sometimes hes jsut looming around kaveh for a few moments before he just blurts it out directly or simply wraps his arms around his waist to pull him into him (wonderfully catching the architect off guard and getting him all blushing and complaining) - def like a cat approaching you for pets and attention no matter if youre busy and then leaving freely when he got his fill. he wouldnt be too overbearing or too much in general though and once he learned more of his new needs and urges hes def bolder (but still so unbelievably cute) with his actions and doesnt care where they are (he would def swoop in for a kiss or two when he has the strong urge to do so and then get scolded for pda)

if its clingy outside of physical, i think haitham is someone who values personal freedom and wouldnt cling badly, rather giving kaveh (or anyone else) the space and freedom he himself also enjoys and wants bc he is someone who likes his alone time very much and needs it, after all. and when he needs it he will take it and you wont find him if he doesnt want to be found. hes def not needy (sometimes he is, like when kaveh is busy w a project and haitham craves touches and presence) or demanding of attention or constantly clinging to kaveh. he does enjoy being around him and often seeks him out to rile him up and mess a little with him perhaps (he just loves it)

i feel like "clingy" behavior is more fitting to kaveh if you wanna call it that (it sounds so negative jkbjkb but in this context i dont mean it negative) simply bc hes got more insecurities etc

he fears hes "not good enough" for haitham, thinking of himself too much of a mess that sometimes he has doubts/anxieties/insecurities and finds it hard to believe that knowing all of him and his faults and issues, haitham still loves him. needing reassurance when it gets bad. its not like he doesnt trust haitham or thinks he would cheat on him or whatever, its just that on some days its hard for him to believe hes worthy to be loved, clinging onto him then so not to spiral down

outside of that, kaveh is someone who pulls a lot of attention to him be it on purpose or not but the one persons attention he loves and enjoys the most is haithams (though he wouldnt admit it out loud)

when it comes to clingy in connection with jealousy, i like to think theyre both jealous ppl (not in a bad, toxic, damaging way ofc) - if not, haitham even a bit more. throw in some slight possessiveness for him too idk i just love that sm

First one is Ziyu ! My very first genshin oc and my baby, i actually still really like her a lot. if i were to remake her she'd be a dendro !! If she likes you, she'll steal your stuffs expecting u to go to her place so she can see you again, she dont know how to express affection ok leave her be-

Her story was that shes an orphanage from inazuma who was later transferred to liyue, hench her very inazuman outfit, shes a kleptomaniac thief who loves shiny objects and usually steal to take care of herself and her orphanage siblings until she was adopted by a jeweller that saw potential in her being able to find very rare and special gems and he treats her like his very own daughter but he later died due to old age and left his shop for her as his will, Ziyu managed to make the business booming tho because of her keen eyes for shiny rare materials.

Next is Flancre ! Pronounced "Flan-sir" and hes a nomad who just travels around region and just so happened to run into the traveler constantly.

His story is that he's severely sick and can only live so long, due to that he's mostly home but he barely get to rest as being the son of a well known fontaine designer put him in a spot where he has to work constantly and barely get to sleep. He escaped now tho but since he wanted to see the world before he died he decided to travel.

Anyway, Covette !! a famous designer in Fontaine, well known for his rather intricate design that speaks emotion to those who wear them.

His story is... pretty long but in a tldr way is that he and his twin sister got into theater, sister died and he drowned himself in studying law to forget about it until he decided to continue his designing career to honor her.

This design goes hard af and i might use him as a normal oc too.

His name is Ebi, yes like the shrimp and since Inazuma doesnt have train (seriously why) he operates a ship and is a captain. He likes Fontaine's water a lot

His story is pretty simple, his mom used to be a captain but after having him she just... disappear, leaving him with her crew and her crew just decided to raise him themselves. Autism real hes rlly socially awkward.

I used to have a Twitter (key word: 'used to'), but due to some...circumstances, it is now deactivated. I won't say who I was, but I came across your thread of how Genshin didn't hit the same anymore. I won't give you my life story here, but honestly, I feel the same way. I came for the exploration and story, and well, given how everything is going down, and how it is being handled, I too, feel the same way as you. Whoever was in charge of it just...stopped caring, got laid off, or changed the projectory of the game.

I got into Nikke myself, and sure, it's a degenerate gacha, but it's kind of refreshing to have a skip button and characters being showcased regularly (repeat and new).

I don't know where I am going with this, or if I you will even see/read this, but I just wanted to just...thank you. For voicing your opinions, and being yourself. All the best with FGO. I myself quit Genshin a week before I deactivated my Twitter (when games become a chore that take up half of your storage, why keep it, you know). So I feel that feeling you do. Although we might be different people, and your outlook might have changed now, but to me, the game is a steaming mess, having crashed down from its grace in the starry sky above. After all, shooting stars have to land somewhere, right?

me shifting to genshin and it being one of my top three is kinda ironic since i dont especially like or play the game anymore lool.

family my family is one of the richest in teyvat. i have three siblings (and good parents because i need a support system, im not that strong) and im the youngest. my only sister and i have an antagonistic relationship, which im kinda excited for? im just curious idk i never had that w anyone.

intelligence God, im so excited to learn. ill be a polygot, alchemist and a explorer. i scripted leaving the akademiya in under four years and then becoming an adventurer because im not spending all my time cooped up in a college! fuck that!

job many, many jobs. i just think being able to have all that expirience will be so thrilling!! & my most anticipated job is an author. ive got my content figured out already too, social parodies & societal commentary.

setting im a worldbuilding *fiend*. so i took the liberties of changing teyvat. the continent is more archaic & historically accurate in terms of fashion, language and culture (so that means no tacky over designed outfits, gov’t workers in batty riders or people saying “bro” and “dude” 🙄) much more diversity as well, not just in terms of features and skin tone but lots more land & major cities per nation and a wide range of accents as well as discernible cultural differences across [domestic] regions. but still not super historically accurate, and veering more on “magical” like disney princess stories.

natlan lowk have no idea how natlans actual cultural design works? 💀 like i quit genshin so im lost on that front. but i split it in three distinct regions. tribe 1-2, which is of mesoamerican influence; tribe 3-4, with west african influence (where im from); and tribe 5-6 with polynesian influence. its the same “tribe” as in game (whatever tf those are) but with a different look. i like this system a lot tho.

s/o this is so cliche but he’s definitely a big ass part of my reason for shifting to genshin. like hes the only s/o i actually *go crazy* with scripting about the rest of them the “romance” is general and non descriptive. our love storys finna be sooo romantic i cant even. also we have a slight age difference and im excited to tease him about it.

I. Virek Sutcliffe (Diabolik Lovers)

Desc. AHHHH MY SWEET BABY BOY. Probably my most known oc idk. BUT YEAH. he acts as an alternate protagonist after you complete all the contact in the More, Blood game :D He’s a former experiment, who ended up in Kaminashi completely by chance. It’s the similar case of “wrong place, wrong time”, except with Virek comes a lot more chaos than usual. My entire purpose for him was to incite more animosity between the families, and indirectly cause Karl’s plans to absolutely fail. (which in the end he’s happy about bc he hates that guy).

but yeah. he’s a silent, odd, and downright IRRELEVANT and MISSABLE character, but so much so that he attracts chaos and eeriness and just freaks some of these guys out in the worst way. yeah :) (no art bc im still redesigning him).

II. Rowhin (Diabolik Lovers)

Species: Questionable!

Desc. It’s a self insert imma be so honest. Its a s/i for richter bc i am down TREMENDOUSLY and delusional 😞 They act as a servant for them bc they met him at a convenient time. Technically they’re supposed to be helping him advance his plans to reunite with Cordelia. But you know. things don’t go that way and those two silly fucks end up catching a tiny teaspoon of feelings. (In which Richter will never actually admit bc it’s RICHTER. but i’m delusional and greedy so i can do what i want 🙄🤷)

III. Avard (Genshin Impact)

Age: Not specific (between 20 and 30)

Species: Human

Vision: Anemo

Origins: Khaenri’ah (birth), Monstadt (raised)

Desc: Yes ik I said his vision is anemo but in the photo is cryo. there’s a reason for that its bc he’s faking that’s not his. ANYWAYS. Bro’s technically from Khaenri’ah, but remembers absolutely nothing (and probably never will)— So he doesn’t consider it home since he has no connection to it.

Instead he was raised by a father and son in Springvale. But unfortunately after getting in between a father/son quarrel and trying to prevent it from escalating, he obtained a vision ‼️ and ofc nothing goes right and he couldn’t actually gain control over it, so he did de-escalate it. his adoptive father and newfound best friend died 🤷

so he ran away, changed his appearance and his name, and became sort of a scholar?? not really. he just wants to find some kind of answer as to why he feels out of place. he’s one of those characters that’s on the road with traveler a lot, but doesnt actually get involved unless it’s useful for him.

IV. Khalid (Genshin Impact)

Age: Not specific (mid 20s — early 30s)

Origins: Sumeru

Vision: Electro

Pronouns: Hey/They

Desc: Bro’s a ghost. Okay not like. Fr a ghost. But he’s like. NEVER SEEN?? He had one terrible day during early akademiya days and said “guess i’ll die” /j. He’s technically a Haravatat scholar, despite his methods of doing things being more fitted for Rtawahist; he just joined the former bc it had the least amount of students to worry about.

He keeps to himself mostly, rarely every actually being seen at the Akademiya. (he’s there he just. doesn’t wanna be noticed 😭 people do NOT like this man). People also refuse to believe that he’s the author behind all of these genuinely well done and thought out articles bc they think he’s a wacko, whatever. 😭 Bro refuses most of his summons unless he feels like coming, and just spends time stargazing, thats if. Bro’s a nerd 😞

Oh also his vision story is very stupid. Bro electrocuted himself with a toaster one day, said fuck it, and found his vision lying on his doorstep whenever he went outside again.

V. Zone (One Piece)

Age: Late 20s

Species: Human

Affiliation: Marines

Desc. Bro’s just a marine idk what to tell you. NAH BUT ‼️ He used to be affiliated w Doflamingo’s crew. But after a friend he made turned him over to the marines as a kid (they didn’t wanna see him grow up to be like Doffy. as they should’ve) Zone was just raised to be a marine.

Which is like cool whatever. Yada yada bro grows up training w them. BUT THEN WHENEVER HE TURNS LIKE?? 23?? BRO GETS DRAFTED INTO THE SAME DIVISION SMOKER IS IN AND LOSES HIS MIND 😭 Bro is aggressively homosexual for captain smoker and that is his ONLY personality trait /j

nah but he’s one of those people who’s super loud, energetic, and obnoxious. but then when he’s fighting or focused he’s eerily quiet. everyone’s like “damn i guess he can be serious.” (they take those words back as soon as work is finished).

VI. Nero (Fandomless)

Age: Unknown, (early to mid 20s physically)

Species: Vampire

Desc. Previously a DL oc, i made him fandomless just for my own mental health. BUT! Nero is a Vampire & an artist. He specialises in painting and sculpting, and has made some of the most beautiful things the underworld has ever seen. Except none are marketed as his.

He was taken in by a prominent family of artists, who are going through a dilemma when the eldest son just ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. So in exchange for a home, and the ability to do what he likes, he acts as a secret proxy for the eldest. But yada yada things happen and an ‘accident’ ends up taking place, and Nero is taken in by someone else. Bro has to regain his love for the arts again, while also learning to be treated as something MORE than just a set of hands to make things :). (also i hate this design sm i wanna change it).

VII. Rook (Fandomless)

Age: Unknown

Species: Also Unknown

Pronouns: Literally make them up Rook does NOT care

Desc. There’s not much too Rook other than them being a jester who pulls lethal silly pranks by trapping people in playing cards and swapping them around! Nah but to be completely serious, i love playing around w just full fantastical and magical characters, and Rook is one of them. Bro is technically a criminal, but hey they’re a jester you can’t arrest them!!!! it’s just a joke!!!

They wander around to every which place and just have a grand ‘ole time toying with people. But sometimes they will trap you inside of a playing card and use you for a trick! You may die! But it’s fine it’s just a joke!!!—

Oh! And they don’t speak. They only jingle. They got jingly shoes, jingly hat. Yeah. (also idk if that is a mask, or just their face. Make smth up).

IX. Bonnie (Fandomless)

Desc: I don’t have a drawn out design for them, but I do have some general thoughts!! They live on a planet who’s population is incredibly advanced. BUT! Their basically a nobleman im a highly futuristic society, that has a general distaste of cyborgs. (Even minor things like bionic limbs). Unfortunately for them, they have a bionic eye (well its more like those things you see in dragon ball. but whatever) 🤷. Oops, big ‘ole issue when you’re the child of a man who has to run an entire planet’s population‼️

VIII. Pyro (Fandomless)

Species: Alien (humanoid, technically. but he is supposed to be a fire guy)

Desc: In the same universe as Bonnie ‼️ He’s a fire-oriented alien from a planet of different elemental guys, who each specialise in their own type of art. His specifically being welding/engineering. Unfortunately bro’s planet was DECIMATED when he was a child, BUT DON’T LOSE HOPE— he can just rebuild it 🙄 bc building is what he does 🙄 he’s just a funny, silly, heart on his sleeve guy who adores building.

Like Bonnie, he also has bionic body parts :D specifically mechanical legs! As a kid, he had a condition that made his legs increasingly weaker as he grew, so being the amateur master craftsman he was, he just made himself new ones. AND they’re fire powered because he’s cool 🤷 ( also his human form isnt what he actually looks like. his family specifically just chooses it bc fire is scary to others!)

ALSO! HE HAS A CAT. bro has a cat named Kalixo, who’s just a wandering spirit that likes being a cat form and being lazy and doted on. bro met pyro bc pyro was DUMB and ran into him (kicked him) by accident and cried for hours. Now he follows him around and acts as a voice of reason to keep pyro from being too STUPID.

i dont know if its really my place to say anything?? but just in case it helps. idk.

my ex and i were together for a year and a half and best friends for four, and its been a good 4-5 years now since then. to this day they're one of the only people i've been actually, genuinely vulnerable with in ways that feel almost impossible around others. once in a blue moon i still have dreams where we start talking again and become best friends again and that trust and care and love is back no matter what we choose to call it.

the first probably almost half a year? was really hard. but i kept close with other friends and reminded myself over and over to stay anchored in the present and sooner than i realized it felt less like an open wound and more like an empty garden. and the life around it crept it and grew and grew and the memory and the grief is still there but it is so, SO much easier to remember what i do have, and to focus on that instead of what ive lost. i cant promise it'll ever truly hurt less but i can promise it gets better, and easier, even when better feels impossible to reach.

oh he absolutely eats this shit up. every argument, insult, fight etcetera you’ve ever had is kept in a personal file somewhere in his cabinet just for memories sake. wriothesley’s life is already quite dramatic and hectic as it can be, the fortress of meropide could honestly sometimes be described as a form of circus within itself especially if you’re involved, but he revels in your antics nonetheless.

As another addition, how would the men find out if they were like "yeah the fanbase considers certain people like Thoma weak but I built Thoma to be strong and do lots of damage" (you dont have to mention Thoma hes just the one I have hella built)

They'd want to throw hands. Listen, if people were to talk shit about the people they hold close to their hearts and care about them, the men will not hesitate to start shit with people. Even though they can't really do much about it, they will probably go on a rant and talk the reader's ears off (which I'm sure they're fine with it). The men will feel grateful that the reader defends the men and the other characters that had been shitted on by the Genshin fandom. People like to talk shit about pixels and it's weird, especially those who send hate to a fictional character (like how they did with poor Kokomi).

For example, people ALWAYS complain about how Zhongli doesn't do shit when Liyue is in danger. I'm going to go on a rant for a moment; I apologize in advance. Like, the man is retired! It's not his job to protect Liyue anymore! It's the Qixing, adeptis, and the human's job to do it. Yes, Zhongli saved Xiao because Xiao has no one else that will save him from himself, his karmic debt, and danger. Zhongli has saved Xiao from his tormentor before, and he will continue to save Xiao no matter what. It ticks me off whenever people try to make Zhongli the bad guy because they skipped the dialogues of the archon quest or how he "manipulated" the traveler!?! Like??? Zhongli still loves Liyue; it's literally the nation that he built from the ground up and has decided to pass on the responsibilities to the Qixing. If Zhongli ever becomes the villain in the game, I hope Hoyoverse makes his fight even harder than the Raiden boss battle because he's the type of god you'd never want to get into shit with. The man was ruthless during his archon days. If people make him the bad guy, I hope he will be the most brutal and complicated boss to defeat if he ever becomes a weekly boss.
