Sooo I was messing around with height comparison stuff while looking at diamond stuff n' old theories out of boredom annndd... I compared the DIAMONDS FROM STEVEN UNIVERSE'S HEIGHTS compared to LADY DIMITRESCU'S HEIGHT because I knew they'd be obviously taller than her, given what we've seen in Steven universe right.

Kind of a closer look at her compared to Pink diamond who is speculated to be 12 feet tall which I went with since I kind of agreed!

If you are interested ofc if reading, don't expect you to, hehe. But if you are, your in for a ride.

I just think it's kind of funny how little and powerless Alcina looks compared to the Diamonds, meanwhile in the Resident evil universe, in her time-line, she's taller than most characters in the franchise. Hell even Godzilla is taller than her since THIS MOTHERFUCKER IS 355 ft TALL. MF IS TALLER THAN WHITE DIAMOND HERSELF LIKE EHAT THE FUCK. Honestly not surprised given the amount of giant characters I've witnessed, even the BFG is taller than Alcina.

Many are taller than Alcina. I think it's just funny how she's very intimidating looking with her abnormal height, in terms of normal human standards and how people believe what is the max height a human can be. (Honestly the tallest human ever recorded was literally 9 feet tall, close to her height but she's only 6 inches taller than them.)

Yet, many characters from other franchises who seem to be MUCH more powerful, bigger than her can easily bring her to her knees within seconds. It's pretty interesting to me, because I always wonder, what would happen if Alcina met some of the characters I've listed. For instance, the Diamonds. By the Diamonds, I mean all 4 of them. Before the pink Diamond "shattering" thing. What if Alcina met other characters much bigger than her size, and much more powerful. We've seen these crossovers before, hell I've seen re8 x Arcane crossovers with her being in the Arcane universe, but in all, it's pretty intriguing to me.

Now, I believe I've mentioned this before that I wanted to make a comic based on what if Pink Diamond after her supposed "shattering" was later replaced by Lady Dimitrescu herself? Looking back now, the idea seems stupid. Because I never really fully thought out a full plot to even make the comic so that really just caused me to lose full motivation and scratch out the comic a long time ago. I really just left it alone for good because I knew it would never really be actually made, because I never really had the right resources and the motivation to really build an actual plot for it. I only sent WIP's and then proof I just... Abandoned it I guess.

And the idea of Alcina replacing one of the diamonds doesn't really interest me as much as it did long ago. Then again I was in a different mental space at the time. I feel like I thought of corny ideas then, so some old posts I made of those "ideas" got deleted out of just personal corniness in my opinion, and since they never really got as much attention so I never really got as much feedback regarding those ideas, so I just deleted those posts since they seemed a bit meaningless on my blog and they felt meaningless to me, since that's really not the type of stuff I post anymore unless it's something I truly am wanting to do, and just not abandon. I'm still even willing to do fanart for my analog horror/alternates x re8 au thing, heavily inspired by the Mandela catalog.

I feel like back then, I tried to incorporate Alcina into every one of my other interests and it felt cringey in a way, in my honest opinion. Because now, I feel like my reasons didn't even make any sense and I was just making stuff up to TRY to make sense of how Alcina can be incorporated into this universe when some of it just felt just off. It didn't feel like a full storyline and I just made things up just to make things up I feel like, I guess. But I feel like younger me tried her hardest to try making stories to add Alcina in other universes that I had current hyperfixations on but ended up making it corny in a way. But Yeah anyways I know your wondering how I turned a height comparison post into a whole essay but as I write I just get more thoughts about everything my blog has to offer to the Resident evil fandom and others.

I want to create things, yet I am not able to fulfill that yet. Either because I lose interest in the thing I'm doing, or I just find what I'm doing corny and I just stop doing it because I feel like nobody would even care enough to be intrigued in what idea I have for an au that's never really been done before. But yeah those are my thoughts, at least, and also a update within a post about a past comic I was thinking of making regarding Steven universe and resident evil 8 being combined. I just scratched that because I just don't know how those two universes can just suit together.

Even with my creative mind I can't find any idea of how these diamonds would just take Lady Dimitrescu to be replacing Pink Diamond. I even can't even figure out why they'd even want to. Hell I even planned her to be a mutant-diamond-human hybrid.

The diamonds implanted a diamond in her making her a Black Diamond in a way, since it completely removed all color from her and completely made the dress she was wearing black to signal that a black diamond was implemented in her to signal that she now is a half diamond half gem and half mutant.

She's powerful now. And obviously I made this idea White Diamond's since she is the one with the crazy mind who'd seemingly would want to do this solely because of her sick and twisted want for her pink back. But since she realized there's no way, in this au she would take a different approach. She would replace Pink Diamond instead.

That's the type of AU I planned to do, yet there we're too many plot holes that I, as the creator creating it, felt lost, so I just gave up. And it even involved me doing something similar to this. A size comparison, because it interested me on how Alcina would interact with the diamonds. Since this has not been done before, I back then thought of doing it. Till, you know why now, since you read to this point but yeah.

Now back to what this overall post is about, it's just another silly size comparison thingy lol. But I thought I'd add extra stuff to just... Explain where I am with this kind of AU which I was going to make awhile ago but just gave up because I just simply got uninterested, and there was just many plot holes ig. But yeah. This may be my longest post in awhile, to be honest 😭

RORY I NEED OPINIONS (please)

Something popped up on my page and it was about Ghost.

The person who posted proceeded to say how they've had enough of the mischaracterization of him. And other people in the comments have said the same. How whenever they see Ghost written as a cold mean guy, they think, "oh you've never read the comics or played the games."

Now, I'm not here to bash anyone. I just wanna know what you think of people who write OOC {insert character}? Or what do you think about it in general?

Okay, this is one of the things that bothers me the most about the mainstreaming of fandom and fanfiction.

The whole point of fanfiction, is to write the characters however you want to write them. Fanfiction does not have to stick to how characters are presented in fandom. Some might choose to, others might not. Some might choose to in certain fics, and then not to in others. OOC exists as a term for a reason. It's okay. You can write/draw/headcanon/whatever any character however you want because that's your interpretation, or because it's how you want the character to be in whatever situation you're putting them in.

I know I said I was done talking about this, but this circles back around to the whole dark fic issue. "X character wouldn't do this" according to who? The fandom police? That's the whole point. The whole point of fandom and fanfiction is to present the characters however you want. That's always been its purpose. Fix it fics, OOC, crack ficks, dark fics, AUs exist for a reason. Not every character has to act exactly as they do in canon. If you want that, then just watch/read/play the canon media and stay out of the fanfiction side of fandom.

People that get all up in arms about FANFICTION not sticking to canon events and portrayals are ruining fandom. They are. People wonder why creators and fans are leaving fandom, it's because it's not fun anymore. You write a character how you want to write them and there's 50 people complaining in the comments about how "that's not how they are in canon." Yeah? And? That's the point. It's like whole ship thing with people being mad about fans shipping characters that aren't together in canon. News flash, people have been doing that for ages. Since the dawn of fanfiction. People ship characters that aren't even in the same movie or show or game. You gonna get mad about a crossover fic because it's "not canon?"

If you can't accept that FANDOM and FANFICTION aren't always canon compliant then you need to not be in these spaces. Leave us alone and stick to just watching the show/movie or reading the book or playing the game, whatever. You're ruining fandom spaces for everyone. Most of us creators have been in these spaces for a lot longer than the people ruining them. I've been involved in fandoms for 18 years now. Far longer than I should have been, and honestly, if I didn't love writing fanfiction and use it as an outlet for myself so I don't go crazy, I probably would have left too.

These pearl clutchers and mainstream people flooding into fandom that refuse to learn the "rules" and accept how things have been for literal decades are ruining fandom for the rest of us and killing people's passions for writing and creating. Us creators don't have to share. We do it because we want to and because we enjoy seeing others reactions and the interaction that comes from it. We are all very capable of just writing or drawing and keeping them to ourselves. Soon there won't be such a thing as fandom because all the joy will have been sucked out of it. Creators are already leaving in droves because interaction is down to nothing. Add on people getting mad about things that are normal in fandom and soon there won't be anything left. People will be complaining about there being no fandoms and no fanfiction and fanart and video edits and gifs, even though we've been screaming why from the high heavens for years.

Twisted Wonderland Arknights!AU HCs Part 1: Savanaclaw

Commemorating my return to this blog after 1212391813 years (rl has been overwhelming), I'd like to write myself a self-indulgent HC of a crossover between two of my current gacha game hyperfixations.

Some weeks ago, thanks to my insomnia, I made a thread on twitter to make myself sleepy. It's about TWST characters with visible physical characteristics that may pass as Arknights characters which includes their possible race as well but I can only post pictures without explanations. So now, I'd like to do the similar thing but I'm gonna break down the ideas.

Explanations including the description and lore of the races, a quick highlight of what I thought as interesting parallels in settings, stories, or characters, and simple wild guess about what specific animal species they could be since Arknights is pretty specific with the animal species' they referenced in this game.

English is not my first language and this post is so self-indulgent I don't even think much about the grammar or such so bear with me and my messy writings.

Pardon any lore inaccuracies of both games. Feel free to correct me if you find any.

Introduction to non-Arknights players and those who are not familiar with the game: Arknights is an RPG tower defense mobile gacha game made by Chinese developer 'Hypergryph'. The story of Arknights took place in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic planet called Terra. The 'humans' who inhabited Terra got kemomimi and anthropomorphic features of animals and mythological creatures, which then divides them into several races based on the animal they're referenced from.

Leona Kingscholar | Race: Aslan

Aslan is a race in Arknights which is based on lions, they're somewhat a sub-race of the Felines which is based on cats and big cats. They originated from desert area of a country called Sargon, though many of them migrated to a country called Victoria, the Arknights equivalent of the United Kingdom. This race is known to bring the blood of royalty and prominent figures in politics.

The only aslan character in-game so far is Siege, the leader of a street gang called the Glasgow Gang and the last heir of Victorian royalty. Personally I like how Siege's rough vibe as a gang leader as well as her royalty background kinda matches well with Leona. Even I've seen some fan-artists draw crossover fanarts of them and boy do I need more of them.

Since Leona was twisted from the Lion King, I believe that his referenced species is Panthera leo melanochaita, a sub-species of African lion mainly inhabiting Southern and Eastern Africa where many assumed was the setting where the Lion King take place.

Ruggie Bucchi | Race: Reproba/Rebbah

Reprobas in Arknights are based on hyenas and the can be recognized through traits such as pricked ears and tails with tufts of hair, spots, or stripes. Just like the aslans, they originated from desert area of Sargon as well though many of them ended up spreading everywhere across Terra. They're known to possess knowledge in wilderness survival which is also why many of them are working as mercenaries, biologist, geology researchers, and such.

Since he's twisted from the hyenas of the Lion King, undoubtedly his referenced species would be the spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta).

Jack Howl | Race: Lupo

Lupo is a race based on wolves. Their traits can be noticed by their pricked ears and bushy tails. They originated and mostly found in a country called Siracusa which is Arknights' equivalent of Italy. Siracusan lupos are often associated with mafia-like community, though many of them are also working in other fields.

Now, there are no wolf character in the Lion King and from Jack's unique magic we can see that his wolf form definitely doesn't seem like any African wolves (not to mention that unlike Ruggie and Leona who came from Sunset Savannah, Jack came from Shaftsland). His fur is white and seems thick, indicating that he's most likely a part of wolf species that lives in colder climate. With that in mind, I think the best referenced species for Jack is the Eurasian wolf or common wolf (Canis lupus lupus).

day 29 of @hprecfest - a fic rated E

On One's Knees by pir8fancier - E, 34k, 2008

Summary: The war is over and to the victors go the spoils.

Excerpt: "Why are you doing this, Potter?

Standing there with his shoulders slumped forward and his eyes opaque with exhaustion, he looked both very vulnerable and very old.

"General all-purpose saviour complex also applies to former hated classmates cum Death Eaters, apparently. It would make my life a hell of a lot easier if I could just ignore you and let you shift for yourself, but I can't. It's what I do, Malfoy. I need to look myself in the mirror every day. Given the tests I've done, I can't imagine the sort of pain you go through just to walk to the loo, never mind working like you do. You don't have any cartilage left in your goddamned knees. You hear me?"

He had shouted that last part, as if he was trying to convince me. He clenched his eyes shut and when he opened them, he'd regained some semblance of control. "Ron thinks you deserve it. I'm not sure how I feel, but I do know that I'm too bone weary to get any enjoyment out of your suffering, and you're too desperate to turn down my help. I think that says it all in a nutshell."

I reached for his outstretched hand.

Written not long after the series' end, and set a few years post-war, this fic is a beautifully packaged punch to the gut. Down-and-out Draco has to hit just right for it to work for me, and boy does the author manage it here. Draco's the night cleaner at the Prophet's offices, and Harry's the Healer who's sent to patch him up when he takes a fall at work, but who realises that Draco's body (and his life) are in altogether a pretty poor shape. Harry takes him in (while his wife Ginny's away) and learns about his life. Draco's prickly and cross with the world, but the two of them grow slowly closer, all the while knowing that things between them necessarily have an end date. It's painful, but really really beautiful, and thank goodness the author gave them an added extra happy ending because I think without that my heart wouldn't have recovered!

back with even more trigun x honkai star rail crossover thoughts, this time inspired by @jiinglespurs's veritas the punisher fanart :D though i'm not sure if i can call this just "thoughts" when it's turned into uh... several paragraphs of rambling and then a 2k word ratiorine fanfic about it. it's mostly unedited because i think i wrote most of it in some sort of possessed/fugue state where i was solely consumed by the need to have aventurine as vash, veritas as wolfwood, and for them to hurt my own feelings, but yeah in total this is around three thousand words in one post. i'm gonna hide it under a cut for everyone's sake :)

to start, no man's land is now penacony, of course. instead of seven cities, it's twelve, based on the twelve dreamscapes. now, most of these cities are just there to exist in the background and/or be destroyed. the lore important ones are midnight, sol, and morning dew (idk if the names should be changed to sound more like locations but trigun has cities named after months, names like morning dew aren't entirely out of the question).

midnight is where ships first crashed onto the planet, dooming humanity to a lonesome existence in this new world. however, despite being the vash and nai representative characters, this wasn't because of kakavasha and sunday. no, it was mikhail and gopher wood, the watchmaker and the dreammaster whose actions helped shape the penacony storyline in canon. these days, it's mostly a ghost town, the remnants of the first human civilizations on the planet. and morning dew is the july of this world, the location where shit will be going down, since it's where the dewlight pavilion is in canon so it'd be wherever sunday hosts his currently unnamed religious fanaticism organization.

in canon, sol is the dreamscape known for museums, libraries, and academies. thus, this becomes where veritas is from. to take more from wolfwood's backstory, he would've been an orphan there, brought up in an orphanage and not really able to get a proper education. luckily for him, i feel like he'd be a pretty self sufficient learner- he could've stolen books and snuck into buildings to help teach himself math, science, philosophy, etc. seeing his potential, the orphanage probably would've wanted to help send him to school, but he would insist that if they sent anyone, it would be the other kids who'd need it more than him, or that they save their money for food and supplies. a pity, perhaps if he did go away to school then he wouldn't have been taken and made into a killer rather than a scholar.

remember how i said that things would've been caused by gopher wood and mikhail? well, both of them are dead now. mikhail would've died first, which is rather unfortunate because then gopher wood would've been able to make a power grab and form the currently unnamed organization (though it'll probably be named after smth to do with the harmony or the order) incredibly powerful and influential within penacony. he would've had grand plans, and i think sunday should coup him before he could do much with them. kill his father, take his power, be more ambitious that he ever could.

speaking of this unnamed organization, its members are this au's versions of the gung-ho guns and can really be any character who shows up in the penacony quests. there's veritas the punisher, of course, and it's now led by dominicus, the name sunday goes just like how nai goes by millions knives. very transgender of both of them. then there's gallagher the hound, sparkle the fool, and while i don't have any ideas for robin, those three would be in the upper echelons of this group; both because sunday wants to keep his friends close and his enemies (of which gallagher and sparkle are certainly both possibilities) closer, and because the four remind me of the four harmonic strings, and sunday would definitely love the symbolism of that. i've also got two other ideas for its members: acheron the blade, an accomplished swordswoman known for never unsheathing her sword in a fight, and samuel the cavalry, an unknown young woman cloaked in both brutality and a fearsome armor made from lost tech.

why is kakavasha on the run from sunday and his organization? he's the vash adjacent character in this au, but he's not actually related to sunday, the two don't have any original closeness to utilize. but the glory of an au is that you can put canon into a paper shredder and say things like "maybe the avgins were there before anyone crash landed onto the planet. maybe kakavasha is still the last of his kind. and because i can, maybe he's got some fun powers that i can use to make him get homoerotic with veritas but can also serve as a reason why sunday is hunting him down." really i just need to be able to make him suffer more than jesus for my own entertainment.

and finally, i love the thought of eve being jade's real name, so it's jelena and eve who end up traveling with kakavasha across the world. they're meant to be like the insurance girls, financial sector employees who have ended up sticking with him because of the monetary disasters he keeps causing everywhere he goes.

ONTO THE GOOD STUFF. IT'S FANFIC TIME.

"what the hell were you thinking, blondie?" veritas yells, crouching beneath a half destroyed wall as the top of it gets riddled with bullets, spinning the punisher around and firing backwards without looking. he doesn't have to; they drilled him on trajectories and distances and angles so much he doesn't even need to run the numbers, his hearing helping to pick up on where the bandits are and his hands naturally guiding his aim. it's not a guarantee that he hit where he wanted every time, but he hears the first three bodies drop like apples from a tree, while the fourth cries out in terror and moves in time to flee.

"i had a plan, veritas! no one was going to get hurt!" he's a damn good liar, that kakavasha, because veritas can smell the blood coming from his arm, enhanced senses tuned in to everything around him more than he would ever like to be. now is not the time to be overwhelmed by all that. covering his ears, veritas remains crouched as another explosion sounds off behind the two of them, and then he takes off. keeping the punisher close to his chest, he counts the footsteps he can hear as he runs, the way kakavasha's catch up to him.

he's taller, but kakavasha is faster. veritas has shorter strides despite having longer legs, it's just because of the way he runs while burdened with such a heavy weight. kakavasha barely touches the ground as he sprints though, especially when they aren't yet back to the sand that surrounds the sprawling metropolitan city of blue hour. an ever-growing town situated with a monopoly of the largest body of water in penacony means the people here certainly wouldn't struggle with shitty roads, and it also means it's a shitty place for them to have run into the fool.

ten more steps. five more. two- kakavasha overtakes him, and veritas finishes counting down the beats in his head. keeping perfect time with the fool's rhythm, he spins, firing a single shot at the explosive doll that's launched towards them. it hits perfectly, and even though whatever charge sparkle put in this one is stronger than the rest, it's still within the parameters veritas had set. kakavasha is out of the blast radius, and the punisher absorbs most of the force of the shockwave and the shrapnel from it, leaving veritas to deal with just a piece that nicks his side and the searing heat.

no time to waste after that; he turns right back around and keeps running, easily falling into step with kakavasha as they both time their steps with each others’. "you think you could have a plan to deal with this? you've heard about the fool before, right? you can't predict what's going to happen next, there isn't any game theory about the best course of action you can apply to this!"

"you predicted that bomb!" kakavasha points out, both yelling to be heard.

"yes, as a one time thing, not a broad overview of this entire scenario! there's no strategy to minimize harm!" he tugs kakavasha into a tight left turn, hearing footsteps from the direction they had been headed. "sparkle doesn't play by any games' rules, only her own. the only way we might be able to deal with her is to get rid of her stage and her audience, and that's this whole damn town!"

he'd have to be more of a fool than dominicus' latest assassin to miss the way that kakavasha looks at him, unnatural eyes wide and staring through those obnoxious pink glasses of him. "you sure know a lot about her," he says once they manage to stop for a moment to catch their breath.

veritas very nearly doesn't resist the urge to go and snap those glasses in half. "well, you heard what miss eve has said before. i'm quite well learned, for someone like me. i'm more worried that you don't seem to know anything at all about the people hunting you down!"

laughing nervously, the way kakavasha checks the ammo of his revolver is one of the most obvious tells veritas has ever seen, second only to the way his fist is always held behind his back as he talks monsters out of mayhem to spare others' lives. it's a tell that reminds him entirely too much of this martyr's opposite, and he forces the thought from his mind. "i'd really prefer it if they didn't have to do so, you know, it'd make this whole journey much more pleasant. after all, i've already got you here with me, right? no need for anyone else."

for all that veritas is well versed in practical manners, his body and mind honed to perfection, the heart and feelings continue to elude his grasp. he has no idea what emotion it is that overtakes him- rage? confusion? fear? something else entirely? all he knows is that he looks over at kakavasha, and that idiot is just grinning at him, just smiling as if he isn't hinting at everything that's been threatening to tear down veritas' entire world.

moving without thinking, dust fills the air as he slams kakavasha against the nearest wall, a hand gripped around his neck and not letting go. "what the fuck do you think you know about?" he yells, tightening his hold. "you- you fucking bastard, how long have you known?"

in the split second attack, kakavasha's glasses must have fallen to the ground, because he's met with the full force of that multicolored gaze that always cuts quick to his very core. "since we met," he wheezes, "i've known all along."

veritas drops him, watching kakavasha fall to sit on the ground as something unfamiliar writhes within his gut. "you knew? and you- you didn't do anything about it? how in the world could anyone, even you, make a gamble with such high stakes? just because you think you know me? were you just going to let me get close to you- no, not even you, were you going to play with jelena and eve's lives like that? just bet that i won't kill them, that they won't end up as more innocent casualties because of you, stampede?"

"hear what you're saying?" kakavasha sounds too smug, too fucking sure of himself, like he's already won this argument, and veritas turns around so he won't have to see the same expression on the bastard's face. "you care about them. you wouldn't let them get harmed in a fight, you're not about to go and hurt them yourself. you're a good person, veritas, and i trust you-"

"no," he spits, seething with vitriol bubbling up to the surface. "you're naive, stampede, you're a gambler and a fool-"

"funny," comes another voice, lilting and feminine, "i thought that i was the fool here."

the argument seems to be unanimously paused as both whip their heads around to stare at the newcomer, guns drawn and at the ready. she just laughs at that, raising her hands to show that she's not carrying any of the dolls she's been using to wreak havoc across blue hour. "easy, boys, no need for such hostility!"

veritas makes sure he's aiming right between her eyes. "what the fuck do you want?"

more giggles. "entertainment, of course! and this little lover's spat is more entertaining than what the rest of the town has become. those girls you mentioned spoiled most of the fun for me, taking away my grand audience and actors, so i had to look for something else!"

jelena and eve got the citizens away. veritas sighs with relief at the realization. there will still be piles of bodies and rubble to clean up, but the girls must've come up with some type of evacuation plan after the four got separated. his grip on the punisher loosens slightly, but not enough to not aim to kill. "so, did you get the entertainment you wanted?"

"of course! and even though you're entertaining, i know that you won't kill me, punisher, and your little blond puppy over there definitely won't, no matter how thrilling that would be to see! so, i'll see myself out, as i'm getting rather bored here. toodle-oo!"

even he can't see where she got the last doll from, considering he hadn't seen any with her, but maybe there is something to how lucky kakavasha seems to be when it only explodes into a cloud of colorful dust and bright lights. by the time he turns back, sparkle the fool is long gone. "damn it," he curses, lowering the punisher as reality sinks in. "damn it, damn it!"

kakavasha's touch is what snaps him out of it, a palm placed right over where he got hit earlier. he hisses at the sting, already reaching for one of the vials he keeps within the punisher. no more need to hide it if blondie's known all this time. "wait," he hears, and he pauses despite himself, unable to stop himself from indulging kakavasha's gentle request.

a warm sensation spreads from where kakavasha touches him, soothing his aches as it spreads through his nerves and veins, through to where blood has already started to clot now that he's no longer prolonging the healing by moving around. the pain was already negligible and nothing compared to what he's faced in the past, yet suddenly it's gone entirely. if he were to look, veritas is sure that he would be faced with the familiar sight of his flesh stitching itself back together until there's not even a single hint that he had been injured remaining. he doesn't look though, keeps his eyes trained away from the man next to him. "i- you-"

"we should meet back up with the girls," kakavasha says. he draws back after a few more seconds, his work apparently done. he picks something up from the ground; his sunglasses, veritas realizes, and it's only once he's got those back on that veritas can face him again.

grabbing onto his wrist as soon as he can get an opportunity to, veritas takes a few seconds to wait for words to start working for him again before speaking. "what the fuck did you just do?"

"oh, that? that's nothing! think of it as just a token of my appreciation, mkay?"

however fast kakavasha can run is not going to help him run away from this. "that's- you know that's not what i wanted to hear, blondie. you just healed me with nothing but a single touch. the only thing i know of that can do anything like that is the healing serum that asshole has been able to cook up for people like me. even someone like you could understand how suspicious that is, and i know i've got no leg to stand on for this, but you-"

"veritas." kakavasha doesn't want to leave him any room to disagree with him on this. "i said, we should meet up with the girls."

"they're safe, they can wait- wait." pieces click into place within his thoughts. they're still hasty and disorganized, but they show him the steps to take through the right method. "heal yourself first, you damn gambler."

"who, me? i'm not hurt, veritas!" he snatches his arm away the moment that veritas makes a move to yank his sleeve up, as if the two of them can't see the blood staining the outside of his jacket anyways.

it's a reaction he had been expecting. "you infuriate me, do you know that? i was going to ask you what you are, considering your little special ability, but i already know the most important answer to that. you're a martyr, and you won't heal yourself even though you can."

"it's just not effective on myself?" kakavasha tries to counter.

"you and i both know that isn't true, but if that's the way you want to play this, fine. let's go back to the girls, and i'll make sure that jelena guilts you into letting me bandage you up properly."

a faux gasp. he's brought them back to more familiar territory. playful sounding bickering that still holds its edge, conceding to his wants while using them against him. half casual conversation, half the strategy of a hostage negotiation. "you wouldn't dare!" kakavasha exaggerates. "i'm her favorite, you know."

he grabs ahold of the unsaid conversation. "no, you're eve's favorite. jelena likes me more than you, she says that i'm more reasonable." in bickering about the two of them, it's what goes unsaid that means the most. they can talk like this because nothing is going to change between the four of them. kakavasha isn't going to tell them anything, for better or for worse. "listen, gambler-"

"no need to say anything, veritas." his eyes don't look as odd when they're accompanied by a genuine smile. "we've all got our secrets, right?"

he looks away first, hauling the punisher back over his shoulder and letting the weight dig in uncomfortably against his back. "yes" he whispers, knowing kakavasha would still hear him, "yes we do."

I try to respond to all comments.

I haven't been great at it lately because I'm not actively writing, but if I'm actively writing I always reply and I am happy to chat about my writing on tumblr too!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hollow.

It's a short Cherik fic, though mostly a character delve into Charles during Xmdofp. Someone asked me to write Dark!Charles and this was the result. It's very angsty and different from anything else I've written.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

It's Just A Summer Thing.

It has the big happy ending. And though the fic does have some angst in it, I wrote it to be fun and sweet - it's set at a summer soccer camp (except the last chapter) and its supposed to be cute.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really.

I've had a couple critical comments, but not 'hate'.

9. Do you write smut?

I have, yes.

I don't always, but I think I write smut well when I do decide it fits within the story I want to tell.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Sort of? Once?

A Man Apart is probably the closest thing I have written that's a crossover. It's still Cherik, but Erik is an android, inspired by Michael Fassbender's roles in the Alien franchise.

Not that I am aware of

I know somebody asked me once about translating one of my fics years ago, but I don't know if that happened - they didn't follow up with me once I gave my permission, so I assume the translation was not compelte.

Yes!

Yet another fic that isn't complete (we were so close and its my fault it stalled). The lovely @msfbgraves and I co-wrote 'Someday I'll Find You', another Cherik AU.

14. What is your all time favorite ship?

Cherik.

I've written the most for them and for the longest. I still go back to my old fics and my WIPs all the time. I am still actively thinking about An Omega's Worth and how I can finish it. I reblog Cherik content daily on tumblr. I can't really image not being in the Cherik fandom in some capacity.

Buddie is my current obsession and I hope they are as long lasting as Cherik, but Cherik is still my ultimate love.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'd love to finish Someday I'll Find You, because we were so close, but I don't know if it will happen. Even if I continue I don't know if @msfbgraves would want to keep writing it after all these years!

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think character voice and dialogue are my strengths. My writing tends to be very character focused and I hope I write characters that feel believable and close enough to canon not to feel OOC.

I can also be funny at times.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Plotting. I don't like to sit down and plot things out.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language during a fic?

I prefer not to. There are so many nuances in language and phrasing, its hard enough to get it right in my own language, let alone one I don't know. I have include short sentences in other languages (German for example), but I ask other people to make sure the translation makes sense if I can.

Aside from the fics I've already mentioned, I will give a shout out to one of my lesser kudoed fics: To Build A Home.

It's a Joe x Nicky early days fic from the The Old Guard fandom. It has truly incredible art from @notablogtobefollowedunless. And I think its one of my best fics in terms of action. As well as showing how the bond of trust was built between the two main characters.

Disclaimer: every piece of fanfiction is a gift from an angel. I love it all, because no matter how cringe or silly it is, the alternative is that fic NOT existing and that is unacceptable to me. That goes for any art.

Okay salty little hater time: Who the fuck started saying "greenette" or "pinkette" to stand in as an indicator for a person with a certain hair color. It is the new "orbs" in fanfiction. I literally have backed out of a fic, walked around a bit, and then gone back in resigned. It's so funny and I actually think of it really fondly, because it's a symptom of fandom the same was all the old fic tropes back in the early 2000's were. But god it even hurt me to write out. Weird formatting and paragraphs breaks I can adjust to pretty easily.

THIS TAROT SERIES FROM KAYSON (@tangledinink) They picked all of the series perfectly for the cards, they didn't just half heartedly pick the aesthetics that fit, and every single one is absolutely GORGEOUS. The style fits in with the other art/fics perfectly while still having that special little background/detail flair that Kayson likes to use. Fantastic. ('Strength' for LSoW Yoshi was an inspired pick as well. Love it.)

MATCHING BEST IS THIS COMIC by @cool-chocolatebouquet A whole comic! On one of my fave parts of mine and @alicat54cwriting's crossover??? So funny and good.

My username was 'spectralsleuth' for a while because I had thoughts of making a webcomic series about a detective who is dead, and was brain rotted by Homestuck naming conventions. (Which in itself was a satire of early 2000's internet culture, only dramatized.) That never happened, but the name stuck for all my accounts because I'm too lazy to think of a new one.

'audioEidolon' was what I started with on discord forever ago, and I wasn't ever planning to talk to anyone on voice chat because I was shy. (Thus the 'audio eidolon' name.) But I made some really good friends playing DnD and we talk almost every day, and have done for almost seven years now. So I guess my internet nickname will forever be 'Audio' or 'Audi'.

I love comments that pull out a line they specifically liked, or struck them. Maybe it's selfish, but I like seeing the specific things they liked because THAT'S the kind of comment that you think about while writing and forever after. (Despite how nice and easy as generalized comments are. I love all comments!) I even prefer comments that pull a specific line to say they didn't understand it, or noticed it was a little weird or out of place over generic ones, because it shows that they're invested and actually internalizing the writing. In this day and age of bots and AI, it's nice.

MAN THIS IS A TOUGH ONE. Every time I think, wow I wish that fic existed, I generally write it myself! I really can't think of anything I've wanted that I haven't at least started to write myself.

Oh man I don't know if I even HAVE an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character? My 2003 Leonardo opinions are surprisingly rare I think, he's one of my favorite TMNT characters of all time, and I think he and ROTTMNT Leonardo actually have the MOST in common between their counterparts. I never understood those crossovers where Leo and Leonardo were so bewildered by each other.

ZERO BABEY. So I actually have OCD and notification stress me out really bad. Like make my tummy hurt and I dream about them. This is the notifications for all three of my main email accounts:

1. How Many Works Do You Have on AO3

I have none right now. The only bits of writing I've completed are short film scripts, and I'm keeping those under wraps until I can get the money to make them myself. I do have a lot of wips, hopefully I will post some this year. Fingers crossed!

3. My Top 5 Fics by Kudos

Ok, me saying I have none is gonna get repetitive so I'll just say check out Merlyy's stuff. Their fic "What Sad Eyes You Have" is a personal fave, and my other friend @battry-acid has done a bunch of great fanart of it. Go give em likes.

4. What Fandoms Do You Write For

Currently, I'm working on a rewrite of the Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim movie. I was extremely excited for it, but I was extremely disappointed by it. I think my next post might actually be a review of the film. Regardless, I want to bring out the full potential of the work, from the commentary on the sexism inherent in Tolkein's original writing, to the tragedy of the childhood friends torn apart by their duty to country and kin. I also have plans to write for Magic Knight Rayearth and Kaguya Wants to be Confessed to. Spoilers: listen to Honesty by Billy Joel. Stay tuned!

I have not written any smut, but I'm not opposed to doing so, as long as there's a narrative or emotional reason to include it. I've had story ideas in the past where smut is inevitable and part of the plot, but I have many more ideas I would rather write first.

If I had the right inspiration, I would. I am currently reading a fun crossover between Stop! Hibari-Kun and Ranma 1/2. It's fun.

If you go by my bookmarks its Marcanne from Amphibia by a wide margin, but shipping has never been the main thing I enjoy about the show. Honestly, I'm not usually much of a shipper, but the last ones to really sink into me are Kaguya/Miyuki from Kaguya Wants to be Confessed to and Saiteru from Saiki K. Actually, @skania has a bunch of great posts on why saiteru is the best, you should check her page out.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will

Well, saying all of them seems like a bit of a cop out, so I'll say Bluebird. I've written so many different versions of it, none that I'm actually happy with. It's weird that a one shot original work is actually more confounding than the longer stories I am writing, but I guess that's life. I haven't given up hope I'll fix it though.

16. What are you writing strenghts

I love coming up with concepts and ideas. Frequently I'll be walking around and as I'm walking I'll come up with complete character arcs and narratives. The problem is once I get to my computer, I've forgotten it all. Damn ADHD.

17. What are your writing weaknesses

I write most prolifically when I am in the most emotional pain. Which means being happy, which I am most of the time, is bad for my writing. I have to try all kinds of tricks, from music to watching sad movies and whatnot to get myself in the right mindset. Of course, right now I'm not using any of those tricks.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic

It depends on the execution, but my opinion on any writing is simple: if you're going to include something, make sure you understand what you're including.

19. First fandom you wrote for

Omg when I was like, six, I wrote Star Wars fanfic called the War for Christofsis. The clone wars movie had just come out and I was hooked. It's unreadable now, but I still have the notebook with the title written in sharpie on it somewhere.

20. favorite fic you've ever written

I'm currently writing a fic (lmao what's the running tally on fics I'm writing) I'm calling Wolf & Hunter for now. I really like it and I hope to share it soon.

The Calm Before the Storm (Mass Effect - Female Commander Shepard/Garrus) - My first foray into Mass Effect fanfiction and such a lovely welcome. This is an expansion of the main romance scene just before the finale of Mass Effect 2.

Heart of Flame, Soul of Steel (Avatar: The Last Airbender) - The first piece of fanfiction I ever posted. I created a young female firebender and included her in Zuko's story. I still hope to finish this one day, but haven't had the inspiration to get back to it.

More Than a Commander (Mass Effect - Shepard/Garrus) - A story set after the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2 from Garrus' POV. I've enjoyed switching between his and Shepard's perspectives in this series of one shots.

Lessons on the Side (Mass Effect - Shepard/Garrus) - This is how I think Garrus learned those dance moves he displayed during his date with Shepard in the Citadel DLC. This story was so much fun to write and I was so happy that readers enjoyed it, too.

Maybe Later? (Mass Effect - Shepard/Garrus) - This story covers the reunion between Shepard and Garrus towards the start of Mass Effect 3.

Do you respond to comments? Why/Why not? - Yes! I try to respond to every single one. Comments are the best encouragement to me as a writer.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? - Ooh, I don't write a lot of angst - I prefer happy endings. I think the only one that even comes close is In the Aftermath, a Mass Effect story that takes place after the events of the Arrival DLC. At the end of it, Shepard has said goodbye to Garrus and returns to her ship alone with plans to turn herself in to authorities for what she did during that DLC.

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending? - Take your pick. I like writing happy endings. I love the ending to Lessons on the Side, which is already mentioned above. And I'll include Coming Up for Air because Shepard and Garrus talk about happy endings to massages in that fic. ;)

Do you write crossovers? - I haven't yet, no. I don't read a lot of crossovers in general, either, but I don't dislike them. And I have written down some ideas for a Mass Effect/Pacific Rim crossover that I think would be really fun. Maybe someday it'll turn into an actual story.

Have you ever received hate on a fic? - I have not and I feel extremely fortunate for that. It would hurt so much. Please don't do this to anyone. Keep in mind that fanfiction and fanart are things people create for free and give to others for free. If you don't like it, stop engaging with it and move on. You don't need to put anyone down for sharing a piece of themselves.

Do you write smut? - No, I'm not a fan of explicit sex scenes in any media. That being said, a lot of my stories include sexual content. I decided early on that I didn't want to go into detail because that's not the kind of stuff I like to write about.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? - I have not but I'm open to the idea! I think it would be hard to find a partner that gels with me, though.

What's your all time favorite ship? - If it wasn't clear already, my answer is obvious: Shepard/Garrus is my OTP of all time. They're the main reason I'm a fanfic writer at all. I've certainly written the most about them compared to any other ship, both in works I've posted and WIPs.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? - Hmm...this is probably hopelessly delusional of me given the amount of WIPs I have, but there aren't any that I don't think I'll ever finish. However, my definition of finished doesn't necessarily mean "posted on A03 in its entirety." I think many of them will never leave the idea/outline stage, and that's okay.

What are your writing strengths? - I try very hard to get canon characters to sound true to themselves, and hopefully I succeed! I don't focus on this as much in fanfiction, but in my original writing, I think descriptions are my strong suit.

What are your writing weaknesses? - I think I've got better with this as time goes on, but I would say dialogue. I remember not having a lot of it in some of my earlier original writing. I even note that there's not a lot of talking in Need Me for Something.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? - I don't think I've ever done it, other than maybe the occasional phrase or term of endearment.

What's the first fandom you wrote for? - I said earlier that the Avatar story was the first fanfiction I posted, but years before that I wrote a sort-of retelling of Suikoden 2, which is my favorite entry in an older JRPG video game series I first played as a kid. I'm excited because the first two games are getting remastered editions that are due to come out next year. I doubt I'll ever post my story anywhere, though - that one's just for me.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet, but want to? - Now that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has come out, I want to get some more of my Dragon Age stories written and posted.

What's your favorite fic you've ever written? - It's hard to pick a favorite. I love a lot of them so much, especially the Mass Effect ones. Lessons on the Side is probably up there - it was such a joy to write and I was so nervous that no one else would find it as funny as I did, but it ended up being very warmly received.

I want to give a shout-out to Our Mechanical Hearts, which is a Detroit: Become Human story. It was one of the best writing experiences I've ever had because the words came to me so quickly and easily. It was the first time in a long time that I could write the whole day away and I long to get back into that mindset. I'm proud of that story and sad it didn't get a lot of attention.

Late night thoughts vol. 1

It's 4 am and I cannot sleep so I'm just gonna splooge some random thoughts that I have (some positive, some negative, and some that's probably just nonsense.)

Uhh, I like to get negatives out of the way first so I guess I can start with that.

- Does anyone else miss when art/animation communities felt more niche but open? I'm particularily talking about the animation meme community here cause that's a community I've more or less lurked in for a long time. I remember a time when there was the big three of animation memes a lot of people and myself were inspired by. (I'm referring to early 2010's creators like Kay2036, Ezpups and Caramelcat123) It feels silly to say that what got me into art were a bunch of independent artists animating anime cats fighting eachother, but that's exactly what happened. I loved these creators (still do) and I looked forward to seeing what else these creators had to offer. As time went on, more creators came in the fray with a lot of cool talent and craftmanship and it was honestly very cool seeing what everyone had to offer. That's something I loved most about AMC, that so many were able to feel free to create whatever they wanted and how wonderful it paid off to see that creativity put into so many special masterpieces of independent art and animation, and that's something I'll always admire. So it breaks my heart to see what the AMC has became. Don't get me wrong, there's still a ton of great artists out there and y'all are fantastic, but I cannot help but feel like the environment in that community especially had gotten a lot more vile than what it started off as. To be fair, that's pretty much any community these days, I'm well aware of that. But I have never seen so much drama, so much infighting, and so much people being deplorable to eachother in my life that it's honestly sickening! I've always wanted to make my own animation memes and I still do, I have a TON of ideas I'd love to get to eventually, but if I ever decide to post them, don't expect me to engage much with the rest of the community. IMO, the best communities you can have are the small close ones you have with your best pals.

- For the past few years, I've been distancing myself from big social media branches and fandoms because of how toxic the environments can be for some of these spaces especially, and it's honestly helped a lot with my mental health (Deleting my Twitter and moving here has honestly been one of the best things I've done last year). It's partially why I've stopped posting so frequently, because really the only people I truly care about pleasing are me and all my close friend groups and found families I've built. I don't really care about statistics and platform building, if people like my stuff, then that's cool. I can look at a post I made with bigger numbers than usual and go "huh, that's pretty neat" and then move on talking about a crossover AU I've been cooking up with my boyfriend. That's not to say I don't appreciate my followers or people who like my content, I do. But know that what I make isn't catered to what'll get me the most attention, it's what'll make me and my family happy. And if people like that, then that's cool. Maybe every now and then I'll ask my followers what they'd like to see, maybe a fanart raffle or sketch request event, I think that'd be nice. But for the most part, this page is very, and I mean VERY self indulgent.

- Uhh I've been doing okay for the most part, personal issues I don't wanna get to aside. I've mainly been working on plushies, commissions and other self indulgent projects. I mentioned before that I got into the latest Cookie Run game, and that's pretty cool. I've mostly focused on making art for that and mine and my boyfriend's OC/AU projects. I'll post more about it when I get there, but for now uhh... gay people.

I know it’s a random question but how do you feel about crackships? I have no hobbies and make random pairings of people who aren’t in the same universe 😭. Yet I feel like I’m the only one who does that- but imagine fnafhs crackships 🤔.

Friend, buddy, pal- one of my top 5 ships in FHS is Freddeak. I'm very much a crackship guy! Not so much crossover ships, though... I find them kind of hard to work with, especially when both universes have very different rules and systems. Tho I do have a few, usually because I find someone who's into it and makes super cool fanart to attracts me to it (Like Chase Young x First Ninja thanks to @drawnfamiliarfacesamili) or because a crossover fandom formed that caught my eye (Like with the Secret Trio orr Nicktoons United... Jake/Danny and Danny/Manny are so good...). I don't think I have any FHS crossover ships, though. But I would be interested in your ideas for those.

Besides, I'd say the FHS fandom is pretty cool about crackships? At least here in Tumblr. No one's been shitty to me when I've posted about any of my more obscure ships, nor have I seen anyone else being attacked over it. Not a fanfic just a fandommind typical ramble.

So I've posted before about bestie and my favorite form of content sharing, where we have indepth discussions of cross comparing fandoms we are individually in, and then make crack crossover ships. This allows us to infodump about world building and character designs by making comparisons between whatever topic we choose.

Like, who would be best sparing partners? Would Josef Liechten and Wyll Ravengard get along based on their characters written in respect for other fighters? Who would win at cards? Would Eli be able to cheat Astarion?

It's very fun to share interests with each other without needing to read a full series or play a full game. And from that, we get SpiritWeave.

Which is our current favorite ship, the one we've even created content together for.

This post will be about that, and the downwards spiral it became.

So I've posted SpiritWeave before on this blog, it is the cross ship between Miranda Lyonette (Spirit) and Gale Dekarios (Weave). Together my friend and I have maid two separate versions of cosplays, several fanarts, and at least one fanfic, but this post will be about why we ship them.

For those of you not in the know, Gale is a very powerful wizard, a prodigy with strong opinions on proper education among wizards. He's also a very loyal companion, who's known for caring for his people and yapping. He yaps a lot, not even that he's very egotistical or self centered, he's just a conversationalist and can't stop a ramble once it starts. But he's also an active listener, and he's known to admire ambition.

And of course, Miranda is driven, stubborn, moral, loyal, and one hell of a wizard. She is also a yapper, educator, and all out go getter. And without repeating any more adjectives, if you've read the books, she has a lot in common with Gale.

The two are also in opposition with each other because of the differences in magic systems between Balder's Gate 3 (being DND) and TLOEM (being unique to say the least). In Gale's world, Miranda's powers definitely don't fall into the realm of "wizard", with channeling the Weave into the form of spells and cantrips and such. And in Miranda's world, Gale is the textbook depiction of Morticime Kant's description of wizards, aka wizard propaganda.

And that's a hilarious premise for two characters meeting. To the point where if you want more of that, the fanfic is out there don't worry.

But here's where we spiral: child.

Because I've talked a bit about children and spiritualists, it's kinda safe to say it's a difficult balance to keep. Raising a child vs high profile wizard job.

Anyway we decided right of the bat Miranda should not have a child, which obviously meant instead of going with adoption, we'd just have Gale have the child whether that be through magic or t4t, he'd be more willing. As we're a couple of queers who can't do magic, we went with t4t.

Gale would be great with kids, he also doesn't have an as hands on busy job like Miranda, so Miranda would be breadwinner and Gale would be house and child tender. But we note while Miranda definitely hasn't held a baby before having her child, she would still be a hands on parent, and they'd do their best to be 50/50

Even without kids and in a more canon complaint timeline, I think Miranda would be good with kids and have an apprentice she'd adore, after she's matured more, even if she never had kids of her own. But this idea of SpiritWeave baby came almost completely from the conversational statement "uh oh Gale is pregnant, who's the father?" with the obvious reply being "Miranda obviously" followed by an indepth conversation in the car about what they'd be like as parents.

And obviously two prodigal wizard parents who enjoy commitment and infodumping would probably adore raising a child with those key ideas.

4. What was your favourite thing you wrote?

The Squad's Spooktober was the most fun to write and reread.

Long Time Coming is the one I've poured the most effort and energy into.

5. What piece was your most experimental or different from your usual style?

This year was my first time writing anything for fun since I was a teenager (many years ago), so it was all a bit experimental.

I think The Squad's Spooktober was a complete experiment, top to bottom. I posted every day in October following the prompts. I had to do research for many of them. I wrote a crossover. I alternated POVs and wrote some texting chapters.

Also, writing smut was completely new for me. :)

6. Did any fics surprise you - either while writing or their reception?

The reception to Accidental Connection shocked me! It was such a fun fic to write and all the feedback that I got encouraged me to write so much of it!

7. Do you have a fic you wrote and loved that went under the radar? (This is your sign to reblog/repost it!)

The Mentor - a look at how Xaden got so good in bed.

I am fascinated by the concept and sketched out six chapters, but it didn't get a lot of attention and I was in the midst of publishing Accidental Connection, which was getting a lot of attention and I was really busy with work at the same time, so I set it aside. I'd like to get back to it in 2025. Getting more interaction on it would definitely nudge me in that direction.

8. Who is an artist that inspired you?

I enjoy looking at fanart, but I don't seek it out, so I really couldn't name anyone.

9. Who is an author that inspired you?

Reading @suebswrites' Just Ask gave me the courage to start posting my own long fic.

10. Who is a new author you discovered?

All of them! I had never read fanfiction before this year, so everyone is new to me this year. :)

11. Did you do any collaborations? How did it start?

Not a cowritten fic, but I built a beta relationship this year. I'm sure it started as they all do... I volunteered when she needed a beta. She offered to return the favor. We've both been writing a bunch so we decided to make it an ongoing relationship. :)

12. What accomplishments are you proudest of?

First, just for taking the leap and starting to write and publish when I felt compelled to do so.

Second, for getting through Long Time Coming! I have a habit of starting things and not finishing them. Thankfully, I had a steady group of readers who kept me going with their interactions and encouragement.

13. What did you learn about writing or creating this year?

So much! I guess mostly I reminded myself how much I love it.

14. Any advice you’d like to share with new or aspiring writers?

Find a community to support you in your writing. The Riders Quadrant Discord Server has been my lifeline to keep me going through all the ups and downs of writing I experienced this year!

15. What are your creative goals for 2025?

I have a loose goal of following @hockeyspiral23's example and writing a full multichapter fic before I post anything. (I don't know what I'll be writing so that's why it's a loose goal.)

My primary goal is to make it enjoyable, whether that means slowing down to take my time writing something, or publishing fast and furious because the interactions are so fun.

Phew every number for Yoru? Okay, this might be a challenge and a lot, so I hope I won't hit the character limit. :D

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

Well, I like Yoru because we basically witnessed her growing up and evolving into the person she is today — with all the ups and downs. Besides the obvious that since SPPF is so dear to me, so is Yoru. I "dislike" a few things about her, too - she is not without fault (perfect characters are boring imo). Though understandable from her POV, I dislike that she's self-deprecating and tends to blame stuff on herself. She needs to realizes a few things along the road, I suppose :)

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Her love for her family, friends, and the cats. Also, she can be snippy and funny at times :)

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

See question 1 :D Also, I don't like that she sees her scars as something ugly. Understandable, since it's more about what they represent for her, but: Yoru, honey? Once Eri comes around, you better check your outlook on scars, or you're gonna screw Eri up with your mindset. Please don't do that.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

Oh, I would love to do crossovers to other shows. Like, there could be a freak quirk accident or something. I would like to see her in AOT (more trauma, yay!), Saiki K would be fun, too. JJK would be too big of a project (not that the others are realistic for me to do). Other than that, it would be hilarious to have some MHA characters get isekai-ed into our "real" reality. Harry Potter would kind of be fun, too.

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Well, the ringtone Shota has set for her, but you guys don't know the song yet (though it's secretly hidden in the prequel🤫) but other than that it's hard to decide - I've got multiple spotify playlists for SPPF, but I think a song that fits Yoru well is The Killing Kind by Marianas Trench. She feels haunted by her past, especially what happened to her parents. It might also make a bit more sense in the future.

The first song to pop into my head would be her lullaby or the song Mine is writing for Yoru: Dark Night (When Dark Means Light)

Other songs fit her incredibly well, too, but I think they would spoiler a lot. :)

6. What's something you have in common with this character?

I think I subconsciously put a little bit of me in a few characters, really. One thing I have in common with Yoru, physically, are scars. We're also both in therapy lmao BUT I think we're both funny

Well, "fandom" in this context, I would say are the SPPF readers :D I love, love, LOVE when people make fanart for Yoru!

Mhm possible best friends besides the obvious and previously mentioned ones? I think she and Jiro would get along well :) Tokoyami, too - but Yoru is sort of distancing herself from him after the sports festival. She's too afraid to rope him and Dark Shadow into her bullshit.

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

To answer the first question: everything. Second question: since it's from her POV, it can often be unreliable. Stuff she sees as a fact, might not be the case at all. It's human nature, though.

First impression: She's a survivor.
