Damus looks at mandroid. "Fraging Unmaker, What is wrong with you?! Scorpanok in a fever dream couldn't have managed to concoct such an abomination. And tou did it to yourself!" Every adult non controlled Deceptacon is "yep checks out." Everyone else capable of thoughtis "who's Scorpian dude?"
The great thing is that most of the Cons wouldn't recognize Damus and Nickel is an unknown as a recent convert.
Starscream and the Waves are the only ones who would know/remember Damus was Tarn's OG Designation.
Cue someone yelling "do your thing! Do your thing!" Damus is reluctant to use the Voice because internal angst and wory since he's holding at least one Malto-bot at this poin. The powers are originally touched based.
Cue some unintentional slapstick as he's trying to get the child to someone safe so he can use the Voice.
gODDAMN Damus!
Any questions about Scorponok will be answered after shit goes down, Tara might be able to help (ohhhoh I get the vibe Tara has opinions about Scorpy, whether they're positive or negative)
Sdfgh "dO YOUR THING" so many mecha will be confused because well they don't recognize him as Tarn (plus I'm betting there's still mecha who think about the DJD as this division absolutely draped in myth— after all, they never saw them for themselves)
Ohh oh no "but what about the baby??". He doesn't want to hurt any of the newbuilds!
Unintentional slapstick our beloved

aghahah loving the Autobots harem and Decepticons reaction
funny to think the only two that seems to take 'interest' secretly are the seekers, Starscream denying, Thundercracker having internal panic and I can't help but think skywarp being bold and all
do you see what I see
This was the first thing that popped in my mind, please feel free to hop back in if you wanna add more
🔞18+ only! MDNI!🔞 no sex happens, but heavy dirty talk and mentions of past relations.
-
-
Skywarp is dangerous.
You are such a cute little thing too, and seeing your small body taking such big spikes with ease just replays over and over in his mind. He's aware Thundercracker wants you too, his fellow seekers aren't very good at hiding their want for you.
It's hilarious honestly, decepticons have gone on and on about how they hate humans, they are just pests, and yet here they all are fawning over you.
But Skywarp has the upper hand over any of them.
But it comes at a cost.
He doesn't know the autobot base very well, he could never get close enough to learn the lay out to get the upper hand, but from the footage Laserbeak got, you have a home outside of the autobot base so if he can catch you leaving or before you get there, it'll be over and out.
His teleporting comes in handy for this, he's so giddy that he's going to be the first decepticon to get a taste of you, maybe even getting to rub it in the autobots faces.
It's early in the morning, you had just finished your chores at home for the day, leaving you proud that you can leave for the weekend and spend it with your lovers.
What you weren't expecting was a flash of purple, a servo grabbing you, and then you're deep in the woods, you barely recongize the area as a place in the next city over. You're face to face plate with Skywarp.
"Aw, sorry sweetspark, I didn't mean to spook ya like that." He doesn't sound sorry at all.
"Skywarp, right? I'm surprised Starscream and Thundercracker aren't with you." The three are rarely seen, at least on the battlefield, without the other far behind.
His red optics gleam, ecstatic you know who he is and so quickly too! His smile, far softer than you'd expect from a bot like him.
"Thought I'd stop by to see such a cutie."
Oh, oh no.
Sure he's quite a handsome bot, hell a good portion of cons are lookers, but you'd never expect them of all cybertronians to want to interface(as your own lovers call it) with a human.
"I'm flattered, but Ratchet is expecting me and he gets worried the more time that passes."
You're playing a dangerous game, knowing good and well Skywarp isn't a con to play nice.
"What, that old bot? You need someone who can out pace ya, not some workaholic medbot that ain't got time for ya."
You narrow your eyes at him, not taking kindly to him insulting Ratchet, that old medbot is nothing but a sweet caring lover, always ensuring you're taken care of first before overloading, even pampering you after he's fucked you stupid.
Not to mention you have every autobot to choose from, all of the more energetic bots trip over themselves just to get to be the ones to ruin you and pump you full that day.
"What, are you offering?" It was sarcastic, but his grin tells a different story.
"You catch on quick, little cutie. C'mon, I won't mention it to anyone, just let me have a taste of that pretty lil valve."
You squeak, jumping back in his servo trying to create some distance between you and his face plate. Your eyes wide at his words, does he have no shame!?
"We both know you'd brag to your seeker buddies just to rub it in their faces."
His engines purrs at your biting words. Your face is burning, you feel hot all over but you don't want him to know-
"You may have gotten me there, but don't act like you don't like the idea, you humans have such weak senses but I can smell your want already."
Skywarp laughs at your embarrassment.
"You're just too cute, I can't wait to see what other cute expressions I can have you make."
You don't get a chance to answer him when the roar of an engine is heard, you both look up and see Skyfire in his alt mode, picking a nice spot to land and letting out the autobots he flew over here.
"Seems I forget they can track my phone's location. Maybe next time you can try, if you're fast enough."
You're so smug, but you take a step forward and place a swift kiss on his scowling face, your lips so small but so soft against his dermas, he almost forgets his anger.
You said they can track a device you have, meaning no matter where he goes they could always find you.
He's snapped from his thoughts when Prowl snatches you from his servo and lands a nasty punch across his face, sending the decepticon flying.
"Dear, are you okay? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Prowl checks you over, holding you close and safely.
You just smile "I'm okay, he didn't hurt me, just came here for a talk is all."
"A talk!? Little light, you know to-"
"I know, I know 'never trust a con' but honestly he didn't do anything."
Prowl finds that hard to believe, but he lets Skywarp escape.
Maybe next time, Skywarp.
(Though he does go back to his habsuite at decepticon base, fisting his spike and fingering his valve as he remembers how your dermas felt against his, how warm you felt, how soft you felt.
Oh primus he wants more.
He needs more.
He needs you.)

I see that you mentioned an ao3 account? Can I ask what the name is? I don't mind asking via private message since you had also mentioned warnings and wanting to keep minors away of course. I just absolutely love your writing and would love to follow it sksksksks

Over It Now Pt 4
IDW Jazz x Reader
• As the days pass, he gets used to your routine. You work during the day. Doing what, he’s not sure, but he’s tails you daily to an office building in town. Once you’re safely inside, he heads back to the Ark. Back to his duties with that smiling mask firmly back in place. At night, he returns to follow you home. And some nights, you come outside, lingering on the step like you’re not at all certain if you want to speak with him or hide inside. You remind him of the wild animals he’s seen in the woods. Skittish and so fragile you’re almost ethereal. But those nights you do talk with him? You have such a soft voice, it lulls him, draining away the tension of the day. The stress of always carrying on an act. “I know you have better things to do than babysit me,” you say as you carefully lower yourself into the sun-faded rocking chair, mindful of the cast on your leg. “I’m fine.”
• “Nowhere I’d rather be,” he counters, smiling brightly when your eyes narrow suspiciously at him. Knows you think he’s a liar. He is, but for some reason, it bothers him that you know it. That you think less of him. “I like it here just fine.” Sitting in the driveway, his servos flex against his thigh so he doesn’t reach out. Knowing if he does, you’ll just want loose to go hide in your home. Out of sight and leaving him alone with his thoughts.
• That visor glows faintly as he tips his alien face up to the night sky and the silence spreads between you. Not uncomfortable, but peaceful and that bugs you. You’re getting used to the big alien. Getting to like the game of trying to figure out what’s true and what’s a lie, because he lies with a smile as easy as breathing. Teases and flirts shamelessly and that too is a nothing but lies. Like it’s all a game to him. “Do you ever tell the truth?” You ask.
• Helm tipping down to meet your stare, his door panels lift and fall in a shrug. “I’m always honest, doll.” With you, but he keeps that vulnerable part to himself. He owes you honesty, but lies are so much easier. Safer when no one can guess his motives. An obvious spy is a dead one and he’s taken that lesson to heart. “I adore these little conversations of ours.”
• And that’s your lying alien limit for the day. That not-quite mocking, teasing tone pushing your buttons. Disgusted with him and yourself for caring, you push up and grab your crutches. It’s cold out anyway and you’re suddenly very tired. Mostly of trying with him. You almost fall when he moves, a servo thumping against the door to keep you from pulling it open. Heart racing as your grip goes white knuckled on the crutches, you consider smacking his wrist with one. “Jazz, move. I’m tired.”
• He can’t. Not yet. If he does, you leave him alone again and he doesn’t want to be left alone with his memories. Doesn’t want to stress and worry about playing his part and keeping that facade firmly in place, because he’s so tired of it. Just a bit longer, that’s all he needs. He knows it’s not fair to take your time, he has no right to demand more of it. But, still. “Stay. Please.” Your shoulders hunch and he braces for anger. Annoyance. But then you just exhale and slowly limp back to the chair. He wants to reach for you, but he’s afraid to scare you off. “Thanks,” he murmurs, venting softly. Previous Next

tfone Starscream is so fascinating, bc here's an untold story there. Like, implications that he has some moral integrity, as ruthless and cynical as he is now.
Because here's the thing - there's people claiming the High Guard was pissed at Sentinel bc he made them lose their high standing in Cybertron. But the thing is... If that's true, they could easily just gain that same high standing back if they just pledged loyalty to Sentinel and his caste society. They could still be the High Guard to a "Prime" and still do the same things they do. If their moral integrity is that low.
But they didn't. Instead, they stubbornly survived on the surface, choosing to live hand-to-mouth and at constant risk of being killed by either Quintessons or by Sentinel because they're rebelling against him. Heck, even Starscream - you can't really JUST claim the reason why he chooses exile was just to maintain his leadership and power over his group. Like, he could have done that while not at the constant threat of starvation or death because let's face it - some incarnations would have him cozying up to Sentinel, still live in Iacon and maintain his privilege and comfort in any way he can, and then just find an opportunity to stab Sentinel in the back and then rule over Cybertron himself. But he doesn't. Their exile is straight up a horrible situation, but they still chose it over serving Sentinel. It just gives off implications that they aren't really as self-centered nor immoral at the start as you'd think, that there ARE some lines they won't cross. It's more heavily implied that they DID use to be a prestigious group with ideals, but repeated travails lead to said ideals corrupted over time.
YES!! You put it perfectly like I agree with everything you said and it is so fascinating the implications the movie gives us about TFOne Starscream and the rest of the High Guard in general! So many different possibilities! Rotates them in my brain like a rotisserie chicken!
I think Transformers One Starscream has so much potential as a Knight in Sour Armor with Jade-Colored Glasses trope.
For those who are unfamiliar with the trope Jade-Colored Glasses is like having the opposite of Rose tinted glasses. Basically you have or have gained a cynical way of looking at the world. Meanwhile the definition of the Knight in Sour Armor is: “The world is filled with Wide Eyed Idealists who believe in truth and justice and devote their lives to fighting for it. And then the dark, cruel and brutal world keeps letting them down. For them, Being Good Sucks. But rather than giving up on their goals, they choose to fight, not because they believe they will truly make a difference, but because it's the right thing to do…They're usually survivors who have largely given up on believing in Honor Before Reason, but still strive to be Lawful Good or as close to it as reality allows them to be. They are willing to bend the rules to save them.” (Definition taken from TVTropes)
I just think there’s something really interesting that TFOne Starscream was leader of the High Guard working directly with the Primes and the fact that he states they witnessed the Primes fall and have been doing whatever they can to sabotage Sentinel has so many unsaid possible implications. Like you don't stay in exile and commit guerilla warfare on someone in terrible dangerous conditions just for your average run of the mill leader who passed away, like there's the high possibility that the High Guard personally cared for the Primes a lot and believed in their cause. You explained it really well, that going against Sentinel does the High Guard no favors and yet they still do it. They obviously have the odds stacked against them and if they genuinely pledged their loyalty, Sentinel could have a trained fighting force with years of experience under him which they could use as their bargaining chip to get him to agree plus it probably strokes his ego if the High Guard bowed to his rule. They could have been living much more comfortably if they just sold out to Sentinel, but they don't.
I also think there’s something to think about how yeah Orion during D-16 and Starscream’s fight stopped Dee cause he firstly did not want D-16 to go committing a murder right then and there, but I think there’s also something to be said that Orion used the words and recognized that “he’s not the enemy” in reference to Starscream in this moment. And tbh at that point in time he’s not their enemy yet. The High Guard have such knights in tarnished armor vibes. (I also have some thoughts about possibilities of why they chose to follow Megatron over Optimus even if the Matrix chose Orion but this response is already really long so perhaps I will save that for a separate post lol)

I think about "Scum Villain" AUs occasionally, as in "Fan Transmigrates Into The Villain Role" AUs for fandoms that are not SVSSS. I think they're fun because you get a lot of the same joys as "self-insert / OC" fanfiction, plus the other characters being baffled as a villain struggles to turn the entire plot around or escape it.
And I just realized that one of the funniest characters for an AU like this might be Starscream from "Transformers". Any "Transformers" continuity, really.
Some random fan who is genuinely a nice person transmigrates into a TF universe and into the robot body of fucking Starscream. STARSCREAM. Alternatively, if you don't actually want to do transmigration, you could just have a Cybertronian original character (or a canon Cybertronian character) somehow accidentally uploaded / installed into Starscream's body.
Either way, some hapless rando is stuck as one of THE scum villains of all time: Starscream.
And all of the other Decepticons are wondering what the FUCK is going on, because it seems like Starscream is kind of... nice now? Did he take damage from getting punched too hard? People aren't really motivated to do anything about this "good clone" situation because they all kind of like this Starstream more. Megatron can't decide whether or not this friendliness is some new kind of assassination plot, because it's not, but also it looks like it's WAY MORE successful than usual.
Bonus points if whoever is stuck in Starscream also has their own Protagonist Favorite (Luo Binghe) character, so now it looks like Starscream is weirdly into some random Autobot. Optimus Prime would be super funny, but I'm also leaning towards Hot Rod (not yet Rodimus Prime), because that would also be incredibly funny.
Also, Starscream has that ghost thing going on, so the transmigrator here (and everyone else) could end up being haunted by an angry Ghost Starscream.

Rung in... Prison?
Fuck it, here's another Rung AU, this one is where he's framed for a crime he didn't commit and is placed in prison. He's having an awful time. Everyone else are so much bigger and stronger than him, pushing him around constantly and his glasses got ruined in his arrest so he's practically half-blind.
This Au takes place before the war and in his stay in prison he meets and befriends a bunch of mechs that are going to be future big shot decepticons. I'm thinking Megatron (just gotten physically assaulted by enforcers and now bitter), Soundwave and Starscream are also there.
At first the big three don't accept him cause he looks like an upper caste member and they think that maybe he's some kind of noble but then they learn more about him (Soundwave quickly figures things out) and they go "Oh shit, this is a legitimately nice mech and he got framed for some shit he didn't do" and now he's one of them.
Anyway, that's all I got so far. Yet another Rung AU because that's my favorite guy to put in different situations.

Chaos Terrans, Chaos Energy, Terratronus, Starscream
Read time: 5 minutes
TLDR: Starscream ordered the Chaos Terrans to stab each other with the Cyber Slayer to charge it; The Chaos Terrans cared about each other genuinely; I wish Starscream studied Mandroid corpse.
ID: A clip from Earthspark S2E09. After Hashtag and Mo discover the Witwicky underground tunnels form a humanoid shape, we see Aftermath and Spitfire attempting to enter the tunnels with the Cyber Slayer at the entrance where the cave water was first discovered in S1E07. Aftermath unleashes a massive chaos energy blast through the weapon, shaking the chamber the Maltos sisters are in but having no effect outside. Spitfire takes the weapon, taunting, "My turn already - and you have to it with STYLE!" She spins the weapon coolly, only to release a tiny streak of energy. Aftermath teases, "Some STYLE you got there, Spitfire… or should I call you, Nofire?" Spitfire retorts, "Ha-ha-ha, and I thought you were just funny looking." Possibly misreading her mockery as praising, Aftermath proudly declares, "Aftermath is the complete package," before launching into a random battle cry. "I don't think you -" Spitfire's confused look changes into resignation. "You know what? Never mind." She lifts up the weapon and points it at her brother, "Just hold still while I recharge this - what's it called again?" "CYBER SLAYER," Aftermath reminds her, leaning down. "Wicked cool name for a weapon if you ask - Aaargh!" His words are cut off as Spitfire taps him sharply on the head with the weapon. He stumbles back, clutching his head as his embershard dims, emitting garbled sounds. Spitfire tosses him a bottle of cave water. After a long gulp, his embershard lights up again. Wiping his mouth, he smiles, "That does NOT get any easier, but what a rush!" Seeing the weapon charged with Aftermath's own energy, Spitfire grins, "Yeh? The next time we will trade." This time, she manages to unleash a powerful blast into the cave walls, causing rocks to fall around the Malto sisters but still no external effect. Frustrated, she asks, "Any doors open up yet?" "Ha! That's what we are doing here, sister?" Aftermath shrugs. "I stopped listening after Starscream said - " Switching to a more high-pitched voice, he imitates, "Take the cyber slayer - urrhhh". "Well, apparently, this thing's supposed to get us inside the - " Spitfire says as she continues to stab the cave walls, unleashing loads of energy. "Where?" Aftermath asks. "Yeh, Starscream left that part out." Spitfires stops, contemplating. "But he did say it will help with his BIG PLAN for taking out the Maltos and the Autobots." She seems to be convinced by the reasoning, and returns to her job at hand with an even stronger blow. This time, the wall shatters and starts glowing in red - the color of the chaos energy. Cybertronian letters appears on the wall with Quintus' symbol, "IN TIMES OF NEED HELP SHALL RISE TO YOUR CALL". Marveled, both Chaos Terrans paused, though they likely can't read it, and Spitfire soon resumed her stabbing.
Thought 1: Wow this is quite messed up!
I'm probably just slow, but on first watch I assumed the Chaos Terrans were able to channel chaos energy through the Cyber Slayer naturally, and thought Spitfire hit Aftermath with the weapon as a part of their mutual bickering. I only just realized they were taking turns stabbing each other with the weapon to keep it charged, and they were ordered to do so by Starscream.
Wow this is pretty messed up! "Hey kids take this weapon and go open a door for me. If the weapon runs out of energy, just draw each other's blood to recharge it. Try not to kill each other in the process and good luck!"
This seems extremely dangerous. The Cyber Slayer is not fatal, but it is fatal if the victim doesn't have access to treatment. And we all know if one of them accidentally goes completely offline, Starscream won't bother to treat them. I wonder if this is part of his plan.
Thought 2: Awww Siblings
The interaction between Aftermath and Spitfire is suddenly more wholesome, too. Spitfire didn't stab him out of malice. She warned him about the charging, gave him a very controlled knock on the head, and immediately tossed him a bottle of cave water.
Despite the contact being short and controlled, Aftermath was immediately sent into severe energy deprivation, falling and whining in pain.
It seems like prior to this Aftermath was the only one taking the blows, as Spitfire suggested "next time we will trade." I have been wondering how much Spitfire cares about her sibling, and it turns out she cares about him enough to volunteer drawing her own blood so he doesn't have to suffer repeatedly. And he didn't even complain about it, possibly because 1) he has one braincell and didn't realize it's unfair, 2) he cares about his tiny little sister and volunteered to take up more responsibility as the large big brother.
So it's... both messed up and awwww siblings. Wish to see them more in S2C / S3B / S4 ^ ^
Theories and Implications
This also gives a clearer definition on how they broke through Terratronus's defense system. Basically they just hit her repeatedly with condensed chaos energy. This might imply that Cyber Slayer enhanced chaos energy is stronger than Quintus power.
I wonder if Starscream would have been able to get himself out of Terratronus if he had access to chaos energy. And, maybe the Decepticons could have been able to escape the Quintus-powered bubble if they had access to the Cyber Slayer.
I'm also curious how Starscream learned he could break Terratronus' defense system with chaos energy. The only other person who's aware of this seems to be Terratronus herself. Starscream also seems to know it even before getting Croft's hard-drive. And it's unlikely that he got the information during GHOST imprisonment - GHOST knew nothing about the Emberstone until Mandroid told them about it in S1E20. Starscream escaped in S1E21, likely during he power outage in S1E20. And Croft didn't retrieve the stone for Mandroid to study until S1E22.
I think the only two possibilities are:
Starscream's science degree thesis was about chaos energy and it was a such niche field that none of the other scientists know anything about it.
Starscream got the information from Mandroid. Either he unearthed some of Mandroid's top-secret research on the Emberstone while helping the Autobots clean up the mess, or he reached this conclusion by studying Mandroid's corpse.

Transformers one swap au
Character posts
Main 4 first and next post will be the others.
Sentinel
Has chronic back pain due to his wings being cramped inside his backplate. Without a cog they are stored there causing back ache and hip pain.
Sentinel is smart, very smart but can't sit still or listen for long. His charisma makes up for it somewhat. So he wants to prove himself useful. (my adhd king just like me fr)
Regarded as wasted potential. Bumblebee is slightly sweet on him due to seeing himself in him. "I can do it, I swear I can. Just... Just let me show you what I can do"
Made a golden hover board with scrap metal as a mobility aid since he can't wear a jetpack like the other due to his wings making bumps in his back
So good at slipping into hard to reach places and manouvering around the factories ever moving components
Wants to participate in the kaon 5000. Unlike OG Orion he dosent do it for the other cogless, but for himself, to prove he can help
He feels he needs to make up for his inability to do as much as others.
Breaks into the kaon collyseum repeatedly to use their training rooms and take scrap metal for his own use
Arachnid
Has horrible optic sight but very very capable with her hands none the less
Perfect hard working arachnid, the model cogless Smith. Yet so so alone for her 'unusual' behavior and body
Projecting my body dysmorphia and bad eyesight onto her
Feels responsible for sentinel. Both out of worry for his delicate constitution and for being the only bot who seems to like her
Respects starscream as her superior and they have a mutual understanding of sentinels unruly behavior.
Cannot for the life of her get into bees good graces. She does things too well and still fumbles social interactions with her supervisors
Starscream
Starscream, or screamer, as everyone calls him, or Star as fewer (only sentinel) call him is the head cogless bot of sentinels smithing team.
Perfectionis, to the extreme
He's specifically good at spotting any fault in a blade or blaster with a single sweep of the optics.
Very, Very critical of quality control.
has no trine but he still feels the loss of it. He feels an enhanced sense of responsibility over the bots under him.
Deep need for control. Things must be done his way and done right. He feels something deeply missing in him and he can't quite tell what.
Feels a horrid sense that something is missing and out of his control and it scares him. So maybe if he can micromanaged everything and everyone around him, this deep hole in his spark will just stop
Annoyed by sentinels disregard for his perfectly planned life yet so so worried over his weakest member. Why can't he just stay still and do his part.
Darkwing
Resides in sublevel 50, it's not a smitting level..... It's a weapon testing facility...
Darkwing lives in a constant battle, drones come at random intervals to quality test the weapons the smiths make in here.
Darkwing proved no good at forging weapons, or making ammo, or smiting armor or even shipping them out.
Too feral, too dumb, too much, his only use was deemed as a weapon himself but without a cog he wouldn't last in the arene
His job? survive.
He's not as alone as bee as many cogged bots come here willingly when they are deemed unfit for the front lines and they can't cope with the failure
They don't last long so he hasn't had permanent friends in a while.
VERY excited when other cogless joined him down there in level 50, these guys must be real tough stuff to make it down there without cogs. Looks up to sentinel for persevering despite it all
Thinks arachnid is cool
Starscream please stop yelling at him he just dumb like that

So @gyancastle had this idea and made cool art that when the apex armor is piloted by a human they turn into a cybertronian. Miko also gets this sick battle axe! Here's the link to the post(s) if you want to see it. So anyways I'm yoking that idea.
After Miko gets the apex armor instead of taking it away from her the team decides to let her keep it. They train her in self defense, strategy, Cybertronian's martial arts, and how to use her axe. She becomes quite the force in the field.
One day in battle a weird ground bridge is activated but it looks nothing like a standard one. It's huge, a distorted look to it, and a deep yellow. It starts sucking everything in which of course includes Miko. When she's spat out she's millions of miles in the air, after falling for a bit she crash lands in a forest. Distorted she walks to the nearest body of water near which is a big lake. Washing herself off of tree branches, leaves, dirt, and other kinds of debris Miko hears a crunch. Turning around with her battle axe ready she comes to a strange sight. It's Optimus, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Ratchet and a random human girl??? But there's something wrong with them, first of all they're comically much smaller and look different. (This during season 1 btw because I haven't finished the series yet but will be reconed in the future probably)
Miko demands to know who they are which they of course give their names which makes her more confused. Falling back on her training she realizes she needs information. So she decides to go along with whatever is happening. They ask for her destination which she responds "joyride prime" because Miko is still Miko she's going to do some trolling. She looks weirdly similar to her own Optimus when she's in the armor, plus Miko doesn't think she could handle being given orders by a fun sized Optimus. She barely tolerates orders back home!
Anyways she goes with them and when they ask what alt mode she wants. Miko has to awkwardly talk about how she can't transform. Miko "explains" that her t-cog was removed a long time ago and she can't replace it for whatever reason. The bots are horrified but she just plays it off.
They go back to base and Miko hangs out with Sari for a few minutes, she finds it really neat that this kid is like a mini her. Miko finds the other bots very charming as well; they're like a softer version of her own autobots. Especially Optimus, he actually shows emotions here!
Then a alarm goes off; decepticons are causing trouble of course and Miko goes along with them to fight. She hitches a ride with Bulkhead since you know she can't drive there. It's starscream doing whatever plot he's doing, he starts monologuing and Miko is like fuck that. I already get enough of this from her own decepticons. She throws her axe and cuts one of his arms off. When it spins back to her Miko starts rocking this twink's aft. It's like embarrassing easy to her; yeah starscream was a little incompetent in her universe but at least he could fight. The fact this one was much smaller and hasn't been fighting a lot, so yeah an easy win. When Miko goes for the kill she's stopped by Optimus. This dude has such a horrified look on his face that it stops her in her tracks. This gives starscream enough of an opening to escape. She's pissed™️ and asks why he stopped her? Optimus is also a little mad because wtf, we don't kill! They then head back to base to continue their argument there. It's really messy because remember in Miko's universe it's more violent and death is sort of normalized. So she doesn't get what she did wrong!
Miko storms off somewhere. Sari tries to follow her but is stopped by bumblebee. He thinks this new mech is a little too violent and dangerous for her to be around. The young girl doesn't listen and goes after our wrecker anyways. Sari finds the older girl brooding on a random donut shop. They have a talk and Miko accidentally reveals she's not a Cybertronian. She decides since the cats already out of the bag she tells Sari everything over donuts and go back to the base.
Everyone is a little mad at Sari but glad she's safe; Miko is a little offended. Yes I did just try to kill a guy but I'm not going to hurt a little kid! Sari tells them about how Miko is from a different universe and the war. (She leaves out the being human bit) . Now knowing her situation the bots better understand her behavior. The autobots set off of trying to figure out how to get Miko home.
Meanwhile the prime autobots are freaking the fuck out. Miko's been sucked into a whole other dimension being subjected to who knows god what!
--------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile with the animated bots:
Miko: Then my Bulkhead ripped that venhcon's whole guts out! I practically felt the sparks on my skin!
Everyone: 😨
Optimus covering sari's ears: great........
--------------------------------------------------
If we're being completely honest Miko is terrorizing this universe not the other way around.

Heeeeey Tiny-! Okay so...
AHHDLRGSKSVDKVXSKSBRKRB. BITCH. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT ACTUAL THE FUCK?!
How the hell did you make something so... SO-! ARGHHHHHH-! I CANT FIND THE WORDS-!!!
I'm blessed. SO FUCKING BLESSED.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU-!
Okay okay okay. So! I'll try to do a deepdive on the newest installment of Human Effects.
BigBotNoStop: Alright mechs, I come bearing an inquiry. As you may have heard from some of my last posts, the newest additions to our crew are a thriving colony of soft, squishy humans. Word in the taproom is some have taken quite an interest in... extending cultural exchanges, if you catch my drift. Not really my field of experience and was hoping some of Xeno's here might have some input.
Posted to Sublink: Human and cybertronian relationships?
But I'm curious, are interspecies acts even possible without harm? Their frames seem so fragile. One wrong motion and SPLAT! No more humans. quite a few members of our crew have shown interest in flirting... Thoughts? Suggestions for how to proceed with care- help a mech out!
(I don't know why, but this bot reminds me of Skids. I've been reading the other installments, and so far, my hunch on this is Skids.)
Blazemech: Yo! You got fleshies on your ship! Fragging jealousy!. Your ship is looking for any dock workers?
(Okay! So, from the context of what Blazemech wrote, I can tell that they aren't from the Lost Light. Perhaps a crew member from the Vis Vitalis, or some other ship? I don't know, but the name 'Blazemech' reminds me of FireStar(?), but judging from context, I don't think she'll want to work as a dock worker when she's second in command in the Vis Vitalis.)
TailOrTrails: Oh Primus, are we really having this discussion?? Look, I get the appeal of those soft little flesh bags. Really, I do - different wiring can be so freakin' hot. But there's no way a romp with one of those puny things ends well for them! Even accidentally bumping into a table puts them in the medbay. Think of the mess, One wrong thrust and you've got squish all over your plating.
(Riptide. Definitely Riptide. 'TailOrTrails' reminds me of a mech who has an aquatic themed alt mode, and we, Riptide turns into a boat. And from reading the other installments, Riptide acts hesitant yet intrigued.)
ISOCLEAN: Just download some holofacing and use your imagination if you're that jonesing for an organic interface. Trust me, it's not worth the risk - or hassle of cleaning up after. sure you can find something from the Human sites on Mechanophilia, slutty Show and shine or Car Washes. Stay shiny and keep those servos to yourself, mechs! Some curiosities are better left to fantasies.
(Honestly, I'm stumped with this one. I can't seem to find or remember someone who's a clean freak. Aside from Ultra Magnus, but then he wouldn't fit the mannerisms of ISOCLEAN. Fuck.)
Flyboi69: Don't leave a mech hanging, I want deets!, has anybot here actually gotten friendly with a fleshie before? I'm talking about hands-on experience. We've all gotten curious watching, but has the real thing lived up to the fantasy?
(Tailgate??? I'm sorry, I REALLY don't know who this guy is. Could be Starscream, but it would fit with they way the text was worded.
I think it's Skywarp??? But then why would he be interested in humans???)
Pimptheride: Any tips for coaxing one into the berth, or does their tiny size mean you've got to take it slow and gentle? And most importantly... any videos out there of the deed? A mech's gotta do some, ah, research before taking the plunge. Hook a brother up if you've found any good amateur organic-on-mech action out there in the 'net. Gotta see it to believe it.
(Haha! I read the name, and immediately thought of Knockout. Not because of the text or anything, but I just remembered that in Transformers: Prime, the animators decided to pimp out Knockout, hence the 'Pimptheride')
ScienceSorcerer: For reasons. Does anyone know if humans have both Spikes and Valves? Or if they have any human anatomy holos or books and such from Earth they are willing to sell for some decent Shanix.
(Brainstorm. The mech that started it all. I'm betting everything that this is Brainstorm.)
T-Wrexz: Primus, you mechs are hungrier than fragging scraplets. As far as I know, relations between our kinds are still uncharted territory. Could be amazing, could end badly - who's to say until we try? Personally I'm keeping an optic out, just curious to see what new experiences those squishy aliens can offer us tough metal mechs.
(Definitely Grimlock. The name gave it away.
I mean, do you know any other mech who has a T-Rex alt mode??? Yeeeeeah.
But what business does Grimlock have with humans??? To think that he'd be interested in humans in really funny to me.)
Bar-rizzla: Oho, look who's swapping tall tales. I've been keeping a close optic on our ships squishy company since they came aboard. And between you and me... I may have an in with their ambassador that could lead to some juicy first-hand intel. Just trying to track down the bot we think they are berthing with. Crews got bets out. Turns out they get just as curious about us big metal hunks as we are them!. The other night, their chat got particularly saucy after a few drinks. Lots of gossip and speculation about which lucky bot one of them might take for a private ride.
(Easy pickings. This is Swerve. I know it is.)
WPHAS-Violation: I may have a certain special "human entertainment" vid I could share. Let's just say the organic in question got quite... friendly with an eager mini-con. You know where to find me if you're brave enough to watch!
(I'm torn between giving this to Rewind or to Tapemix54. From context, I'd say WPHAS-Violation is from the Lost Light, but then what about Tapemix54??? Is Tapemix54 Soundwave???
👀 Who was this Minicon that got lucky... Hmmmmmm.)
Tapemix54: Oho, mechs - think you've got it bad now? You should've seen some of the real deviants back before the war. When I was still stationed on Petrex, I knew this one smuggler - went by the name Rattler. Sneaky little scraplet, but Primus if he didn't have the wildest stories. Rattler used to run goods across time and space, dodging security at every turn. He'd pop up out of nowhere selling the rarest exotic "pets" to rich senators and other high caste mechs looking for a thrill. I'm talking aliens so bizarre even our data banks had never heard of their kind. But the highest bidder always walked away with a new "plaything" to break in, if you catch my drift. Word was Rattler even had a collection of sentient organics that he'd let special clients "test drive" between runs. Humans were apparently a favourite - their smaller frames could take all sorts of creative handling. Rattler had vids, too, of course, to entice buyers. I saw one once, let's just say "versatile" doesn't begin to cover it. Naturally the vids have all been scrubbed by now. But I bet if you knew where to dig in the deep web or some easily swayable Archivist, you might find traces of Rattler's stash still floating around out there.
(Fuck. FUUUUUUCK. Now I'm thinking that this is Chromedome because he was stationed in Pretrex with Prowl when they were sent to investigate the assassination of Senator Sherma.
For all I care, Rattler could have been Swindle since... Y'know, he was trafficking humans. Though, now that I think about it, would Swindle even be old enough to do that??? FUUUUUUUUCK.)
"Old records saved of the Senator and his human Conjunx”
It's a file collection of holotapes and pictures: "Enjoy these are pre war photos of Senator Shockwave and his Human holding their sparkling"
There are many holos and videos of the long gone senator smiling with his human perched on his shoulder, in the crystal garden with a young sparkling held in the human's arms. Videos of the sparkling playing with the two but the last The last holo looks like a family portrait with Shockwave’s frame in a lime green blue white paint with gold accessories,  his human lover is dressed in elegant robes and the small blue praxian sparkling held in their arms. Each holo is dated with the Iacon records seal of authentication.
(Okay. Okay okay okay. I LOVE the fact that you decided to incorporate Laboratory Logs to Human Effects. Admittedly, I did not see that coming when I sent that ask. Smart move.
And uhhh... Now that a few mechs have seen the photos, wouldn't that mean that if they ever recognized a mech that looked a lot like Senator Shockwave's long lost sparkling, It'll further cement the fact that uhhhh.... Fuck. I think I lost the path.
Uhmmm... Think about it like this, when Ratchet sees the family photo and sees the little sparkling, wouldn't he recognize that it's Traxies?)
FlyBoi69: NO FREAKIN' WAY. Is this real?! *downloads files faster than Blurr* FRAG ME SIDEWAYS, I think I just popped a gasket! How in the PIT did you manage to dig up the holos of senator Shockwave, most of his speeches, debates and lectures were wiped. Where did you find this!
(Honestly though, I'm still not sure who this guy is. Could this be Misfire??? AHHHHHHH.
Who are you FlyBoi69?!)
Jackin0: of all mechs, with an actual human back in the Golden Age?!. I'm calling scrap on this being real. It's gotta be a flawless deepfake. By PRIMUS if true - to think ol' Shockers was living it up with a squishy. Maybe there's more to those Senatorial types than meets the optic...
(Jackie. Definitely Jackie. Ah! Sorry, I meant Wheeljack.
It's just cool to call him Jackie. ☺️)
T-Wrexz: Okay, I'll bite... but someone better explain to me RIGHT NOW how any of this computes! Last I checked, time travel and inter-species relationships were the stuff of erotic imagination, not legitimate pre-war archives. Tapemix, you better start talking. Where in the PIT did you source these files? How do we know they're authentic and not just an incredibly convincing parlour trick? Because if I'm gonna let these images ruin me, I wanna be ruined by the real deal! Spill it, mech.
(I REALLY think this is Rewind. Cause Rewind likes to collect rare footage.)
Iacon-Records: Tapemix54 could i please request where you discovered these as i work with Iacon records and this here is history that needs to be preserved. I'm willing to talk with you through a contractor if you would be willing for us to add these back into the new hall of records. Cybertron has lost so much and to find something like this I ask that we find a way to preserve it.
(Optimus. THIS IS OPTIMUS PRIME.
You can't get more Optimus than Iacon-Records.)
BigBotNoStop: Pit take me now... I think I may have to reassess everything I thought I knew about interface and partnerships. That human is holding a sparkling curled around them - frag if it isn't the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! If anything could make me believe in miracles, it's this! Tapemix, you glorious glitch - how can I ever repay such an enlightening gift?
(Okay. I'm getting more and more convinced that this is Skids.
On that note, I like to think that whoever managed to see the photos are going to think, 'I can have a sparkling with a human'.
Which is cool, but then a bummer if they found out that Tiny didn't actually carry Traxies but was instead adopted from a hotspot when he imprinted on Tiny.)
Tapemix54: These were filed only cycles after Shockwaves Emputra; they were added to the Iacon records by some Archivist under the title. 'I will Remember you for who you were'. This was right when the senate fell apart on the brink of the war. From my knowledge of information on Rattler he apparently had an outlier who he got to take them to different times since he was a shuttle made it easier to transport. That's from the  records that still exist at least. I'll take you up on that offer Iacon-records.
(Okay. That mysterious archivist? Definitely Optimus.
...
But wasn't Optimus a police officer during that era??? Wasn't he working with Sentinel at that time???
And who's this mysterious shuttle??? Omega Supreme??? JDDKSJDLDHDKGKSGS.
And who's RATTLER?! So many questions and so little answers.)
Oh, and Tiny? I really want to thank you for humoring me. You have no idea how much help you've given.
And uhhh.... Yeah....
ACCEPT MY LOVE AND APPRECIATION.

Interesting Megs practicaly dealing with his relatives and Death itself ouch. magine when Op brings the allspark back Unicron senses it and brings Meg back to life to drop at their feet for them to deal with
Starscream: Master! You're alive!
Megatron:*free of his roommates now, looks very haunted,* I'm neither that nor dead.
Starscream:.. Uh what?
Megatron: I will never be fully alive nor leave this mortal coil. I will never be able to repent fully for my actions. I am leaving now so don't look for me. Do not fight in my name because decepticons are dead just like i am
Megatron: But if i hear about you lot or anyone else making a council i will come back to personally hit whoever over the helm. Understood?
Op: I missed you
Megatron: I am trying not to have a breakdown here
Poor Megatron. He will have no peace after being released from the Unmaker's grasp. In all seriousness, I do imagine his time floating around in Unicron's mindscape where all the Titans chatter would do him some good. Being able to hear them speak in their strange tones would have to adjust his view of reality.
So many giants staring down at him like he's little more than an ant, their thoughts booming and powerful, beating down on him like a relentless force. Entities far older than him, all wiser and ancient enough to have seen the birth of galaxies. He, I imagine, reeled in their presence, unable to handle their oppressive wills. Just a few weeks under them being more than enough to force him to think, especially as each tried to speak to him.
Moon attempted to call out to him, but so many millennia dealing with entities such as Unicron dampened his ability to recognize his limits and the weakness of others. Megatron, unable to handle the great Titan's calls, screamed into the void. Moon did not try and contact him after and instead merely observed the spark of the one the Autobots feared so greatly. Megatron could always feel Moon watching and listening. There was no respite from his gaze.
Mars did not speak often, but when he did, Megatron felt the earth shattering might of a being who held no love for him. Mars knew who it was that led their world to fall into its bitter state. He knew that Optimus and Megatron were the source, and while not angry at either, his bitterness did not lend Megatron any favor in the mindscape of the Unmaker. The few times he spoke up, his words were heard by all and embedded into Megatron's very spark.
"You who tore our world apart, do you not lament the loss? Was the devastation worthwhile? Did the sacrifices of beings far greater than you mean nothing?"
"I meant to give our people freedom."
"And yet you gave them war."
"It was the only way. Nothing would have changed without conflict."
"Perhaps. But the destruction had no reason to echo this long. Tell me, how many sparklings have been wrapped into your war?"
"..."
"I see you as a mere sparkling. Small, frail, foolish, easily demolished beneath my pedes. And yet I value each child of Primus equally. Do you understand? It matters not who you are or what power you hold. Under Primus, All Are One."
Pluto spoke only in visions of violence. Megatron saw destruction far greater than anything he had wrought. He watched planets burn in the wrath of a Titan angry at the loss of so many. He saw civilizations turned to mere ash. He saw a Titan hardly bigger than Omega Supreme throwing everything into a desperate battle against Predacons in order to defend another Titan and their charges. He saw energon split and scars gained.
Pluto did not speak, but his visions told Megatron more than enough. Violence had its reason, but in the end, it was dooming. To a being who watched stars burn out, Megatron's war, while brutal, meant very little. Pluto knew his anger, and in Pluto's sight, it meant nothing. Megatron never felt so small as when Pluto looked down upon him in distaste.
Unicron never needed to speak. The fact that Megatron resided within his mind was more than enough for the warlord to see visions of entropy that left him pondering the meaning of his existence. None of the Titans regarded him with warmth, that was save for Earth.
She was used to reaching out to her fragile offspring, and so her words were soft. She called out across the void, wrapping her attention around Megatron like a cloak. He never saw her, nor did he know who exactly she was. Unlike the Titans, she had no form that he could sense aside from a vague sense that she was below the ground of the terran world he once threatened to cyberform. Surprisingly, she held no anger toward him. Instead, he felt her pity and her sorrow on his behalf. She saw his mind and his memory and she whispered of how sorry she was that he'd been burdened so long. She swept him away into dreams of places he had never seen, some on Earth, and others somewhere amongst the stars.
She was a comfort, and through her murmurs, Megatron found a degree of peace and contemplation.
"You were held in bondage. I can see the echoes of your shackles. You hold them close to yourself even now."
"I serve no master, not anymore."
"You are a slave to your past and the pain it brought."
"I am not! I am Megatron of Kaon, Champion of the Pits! I have freed myself and my people!"
"That may be so. But the things you sought to escape from live on in your actions. The scars that dug so deep into your frame have now been mirrored on those around you."
"What?"
"Your anger has infected your fellows. Your once righteous rage has turned into something dark. Sweet child, you must let it go. It is not too late to end this madness which has possessed you."
Megatron listened to Earth and shook under the gazes of the rest. He was not sure how long he spent with them, but when Unicron forced him to return to the living realm, he was changed. Seeing everything from the perspectives of such mighty beings... everything felt so much more wasteful. He had not needed to destroy as much as he had, nor had Optimus needed to drag their war on in response to his madness. The pushed each other ever onward, but free of Unicron, Megatron decided to be the first to put an end to the cycle of madness.
When he turned and faced the Autobots, he knew that one day he would have to suffer for his crimes. But for now, he needed time to think and Cybertron needed time to heal.
And so he took to the stars, guided by whispers of the Titans that guarded Unicron so diligently. His thoughts drifted to Halley's Comet, and he found a destination. Perhaps there would be merit to traveling alongside the living memorial that was the youngest of the Titans.

Transformers Skybound #13
Warning: the following post has spoilers for issue 13 of the Transformers Skybound/Image comics line. Please dont proceed if you haven't read, or if you don't want to be spoiled. -Scone/Voli
All I do in this fandom is CRY.
Good GOD this whole issue
This whole issue delved into some of Starscream's backstory. His designation used to be known as Ulchtar
Tumblr media
MY BOY WAS A GOOD GUY!! HE WAS SO KIND AND SWEET!
Look at him and his boyfriend Genvo (and Jetfire)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I love this panel with the three of them together (definitely want to draw them!!)
But of course, Skybound decides to go :Hey you like these characters??? You REALLY LIKE THEM??
WELL HERE YA GO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm ugly crying in the club right now and I'm thinking "I swear if Megatron was the one who shot him."
Tumblr media
Oh my God???
THATS SO MUCH WORSE?!?!?
Tumblr media
"Hello, I am here to become your new toxic boyfriend." (I DONT SHIP MEGSTAR DONT COME AT ME)
Tumblr media
The shift at the end, the art, the emotion, the power this issue had.
Also it gave birth to this silly (yet sad) panel
Tumblr media
Anyways. Yeah. All I do in this fandom is cry and I'm going to eat the biggest bowl of ice cream.

Transformers #13!!!
Yeah, Starscream ain't dead yet.
It's a nice look into his past and a rare look at how he and Skyfire got along before the war, during the time he goes going by Ulchtar (development lore, this was one of the names Budiansky and company were brainstorming before landing on Starscream).
Also, I love the size difference between Omega Supreme and regular bots! (Also also, I love how the artists are drawing the big starry expanse of space in Transformers and Void Rivals!)
Tumblr media
A glimpse of a Starscream smile and KUP!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Oh yeah! Blue eyed Starscream!
Tumblr media
It's pretty interesting because, despite his more soft disposition in the beginning, he has always had the desire to be looked at, to be noticed.
AhahahaAHAHAHA!! 😭😭😭😭 I don't need those feelings! Man, this being a flashback really makes this hit you in the face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is perhaps one of the better origin stories for "Starscream" that I've seen, fanon or canon. It also hints at how the average bot sees themselves in comparison with the titans of Cybertron.
Genvo wasn't here for a long time... Nor a good time, considering what happens in the story.
Tumblr media
This tragedy really hits into the general themes of this continuity how the casualties of war have changed them all, for better or worse.
Tumblr media
And here we are, bringing it all back in a circle. If y'all remember Starscream clapping the fighter jet and a certain Duke escaping? Well, for the TF fans who didn't read the Duke miniseries, Duke ended up assuming that Destro, a war profiteer/weapons manufacturer, created Starscream. He, of course, didn't and Duke worked out a bit of catharsis on Destro's robot soldiers. The name of Destro's company?
MARZ.
For the fans who don't want to have to read GI Joe, I don't think that DWJ will involve them too heavily. Joshua Williamson who has been leading the Joe story has said in an interview that DWJ isn't a Joe afficionado with a ton of knowledge of Joe lore.
Tumblr media
And Starscream joins the Decepticons, the loss of Genvo changing him forever.
This is an interesting take on Megatron's gun alt mode, clearly giving a nod to Megatron occasionally being a tank.
Okay, so this does run pretty quick. The fast pace is one of the more credible notes regarding this story. However, I will say that it's refreshing to not get bogged down or too distracted by a flashback that only explains a character's drive and doesn't do much to keep the story moving forward.
Can't wait for next month!

*Long Post*
*Checks Decepticon emails* Oh, here we go. (¬_¬") 💻
*Reads* You forgot my builtday?! What kind of human slave are you if you can’t even remember this important date? (¬_¬)
*Types back* One that wanted to celebrate their mom’s 55th birthday? 🤨
Yeah. What a shame, right? That she’s gotta share the day she entered this universe with the likes of you. # ⸨◺_◿⸩ #
(Cool fact I guess but still, why? 😭)
Tho I guess I should thank you for remindin’ me, cuz here’s my late builtday present: i’m gonna expose ya once and for all. >:D *Sends*
*Closes* Aaaaaaaaaaaand, I got less than 24 hours left to live, so… :/
Tumblr media
You know how everyone always argues about his OG alt mode, that I surprisingly got obsessed with (by reason of insanity bein’ a concept that allows for SO MUCH creativity in a franchise that encourages it via lore + toys), and wanna copy paste everywhere?
Reflector: Yeah. No scrap. Don't say anythi— 📷
Me: *Tosses into chute* Right. Ok— 👏
Million Shanix question: Why does Megatron, of all TF characters, in his alt mode have to literally put his fate into another’s servos/hands?
Well, that’s the thing.
He doesn’t. (•᷄- •᷅ ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's the same case with Shockwave (who interestingly, I never see anyone criticize despite them both bein' laser guns, but whatever, this ain't about him tonight 🙂‍↔️)
Furthermore, if Megatron can fly in his robot mode, then flying/levitating as a gun shouldn't sound as implausible, right? (ᵕŏᴗŏ)
(I mean it sure does sound funny, but also terrifying, since he can freeze midair, aim with near-perfect accuracy and fire at will)
Oh yeah, and Soundwave's still capable of flight too as a microcassette recorder.
Tumblr media
Megatron: Soundwave! WTH!? Come back!
(Ok, at least with him it's just funny. Maybe he can blast [insert appropriate music here] while he's at it)
So knowin' this, why does Megatron still pull this damn stunt, if he's quite capable of doin' it all on his own?
People also wonder why Starscream can't just "accidentally" drop Megs, and then stomp him out like a bug that's not as innocent.
Well, good fraggin’ luck Star, cuz as soon you let him go, he’s gonna go, and if you didn’t wanna let him go, and he wants to go?
He will go.
Tumblr media
If you manage to grab hold of his stock, that’s detachable (and the same goes for his silencer), so he's just gonna end up whoopin’ your aft for that with his stock.
But fine, let's say that Megs is on the ground unconscious, and you somehow sneak up on him with heated thrusters via your afterburners.
Still not gonna work, my guy… I think.
Tumblr media
(Like look at his face plate here, he knows there’s no point in tossin’ Megs under all those fallin' rocks 😂)
He's a metal cockroach (which is an insult to cockroaches, and for that I apologize), but then again, with the way he takes on damage inconsistently in G1, I don't even fraggin' know guys. (-_-)ゞ
(This bitch survived an explosion powerful enough to move Cybertron, yet panicked over “antimatter” energon)
(He also didn’t give a frag over the same concern in “War of the Dinobots”—)
Um...maybe cuz his alt mode is a denser state to be in, he's more durable and can withstand harder impacts?
My brain: Wait, so shouldn’t he be heavier after all or—?
My heart: Shuddup, it’s science fiction. Enjoy it. We don’t need to get lectured on physics.
Brain: But this is my way of enjoying it—
Heart: SHUSH!
I mean he transformed into his alt mode to save himself when he fell off a cliff in the Marvel comics…and still sustained brain damage. :/
Yeah, we ain't half-battlin' scrap with that info, Duke, and that's why we pick our battles. Wisely.
*Proceeds to list gun mode advantages in no particular order*
Tumblr media
Ok, this? This is the creative/fun alt mode s**t I wanna see more of, Hasbro!
You wanna know the reasons/ways in which the alt mode Teletraan I bestowed upon him can be strategic/useful/just plain fun, dammit? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ 📷❗️
1.
He shouldn’t need to worry about wastin’ the valuable energy he’s savin’ for a fight with Op, since his Seekers can easily fly him to wherever they gotta go in their cockpits (along with the rest of the High Command who also have small alt modes excluding Star, what a coincidence)
Yeah, with the way he tires out during crucial moments in this war (with it bein’ an energy crisis, and oh, the human allies providin’ energy to the Autobots), if he just stayed in his alt mode as much as possible, and continued orderin' everyone around that way, “only the idiots would question” him, as he can put it
In short, the less he can do in order to conserve energy, the more of a chance he’ll have to win for once lol
That indeed means someone else with high-quality optical sensors, who’s committed to the cause, aimin’ and pullin’ the trigger for him
2.
When you’re in a battle, and it’s chaotic as hell, what are your optics gonna draw to? The weapon? Or the enemy that’s holdin’ the weapon?
Oh, most Cybertronian laser weapons come in neutral colors?
Well scrap, good luck spottin’ him
I think it gets even worse when he mass shifts to scale with a human’s hand, as the smaller he gets, the harder it’ll become to locate/hit him as a target. Then you gotta worry about human civilians, and oh boy—
3.
Apparently, all the energy that’s in his barrel ends up bein’ more concentrated, precise and deadly than in his scope (the fusion cannon), which is also detachable
Yeah, a barrel def ain’t fraggin’ detachable lmao
4.
If Starscream starts actin’ up, once again, Megs can just go into a Seeker’s cockpit and conduct business in there
Nova Storm would be a damn good choice too, since if they can survive the chromosphere, it could mean that (in order to get to that layer) they can survive the much hotter corona of the Sun
We're talkin' millions of degrees Fahrenheit/over 200,000 degrees Celsius here, so maybe take advantage of that sometime 😑
Yeah, Star couldn’t any give less of a scrap about other Seekers (or anyone) the same way Megs couldn’t, but neither of ‘em wanna make it that obvious, ya know?
5.
Eh, I guess his alt mode is a good way for him to sharpen his stealth skills
(Obviously it’s not his style, but it’s like swimmin’. Even if you aren’t a fan of pools/the ocean, you should still know how to swim if given the chance, just in case)
Like seein’ a camera, or a microcassette recorder (in the 80s) is normal, even neat, but if there’s one thing you never wanna see, it’s a gun. So humans conceal them
I think that’s a good enough motivator for Megs (who loves a challenge, don cha know?) to finally suck it up and start takin’ that s*** seriously
Cuz idk, if human militaries start armin’ themselves with Cybertronian tech (*sighs* as if nukes weren’t enough), he’s gonna need to know how to hide from humanity’s wrath, just sayin’
Can’t hide a tank as easily no matter how much ya camouflage ‘em (still love that alt mode tho, so triple changer Megs all the fraggin' way y'all)
Oh in that situation, every Decepticon with a large alt mode would be screwed, huh? 😂
6.
He can try and lure a human without an amplified voice in order to… best case scenario have Reflector steal all their MLP merch
Or he can choose to indulge in the art of scarin' the absolute s**t outta people (can't easily sneak up on a human as a giant robot, can ya?)
7.
If Megs is for whatever reason merely incapacitated during a battle, someone can flip him over the same way Prime did in "The Insecticon Syndrome" to transform him—and either hightail it outta there (once again, smaller target to hit), or use him, well, as a goddamn weapon
Trust me, he won't mind
This also works for when he gets drunk and passes out
Cuz gettin' severely injured instead, means that flippin' him over might be too risky, hence why Soundwave carried him in robot mode in the movie (if Megs can't move his limbs, that's a bad sign)
Tumblr media
8.
Enemies: So, the rumors are true: your leader really is smaller than a minicon. (Lol he must be weak—) *Continue makin’ a bunch of assumptions*
Skywarp: *Looks around* I give it 20 astroseconds. *Tosses Megs + teleports away*
Enemies: What—? *Get mercilessly demolished cuz they let their guard down/got distracted smh*
Skywarp: *Teleports back* Mmm, 20…3.
*Gets lightly hit in the arm* Ow—
Megatron: You count too fast.
/ Y'all, if Skywarp was a better fighter/gunslinger combined with his teleportation... he would cook fr
9.
Nervous turned super confused new recruit: *Stops bowing* Wait, he’s the gun? The leader of the Decepticons?
Skywarp: *Holding Megs* Mm-hmm. Here, take him.
New recruit: *Stares* That’s Megatron?
Skywarp: Yep, in the metal. Take him. Just don’t shoot yet, got it?
New recruit: Yet? Is that allowed? Can he—? Are you sure, or is this some kind of trick?
Skywarp: Yep, yep and soon, yep—I-I mean no—I mean—
Just say “test” next time. *Stuffs him into their arms + adjusts* There.
New recruit: ( ´・_・`)
Skywarp: Feel different?
New recruit: *Looking down* I don’t understand.
Skywarp: See, that’s the best part: you don’t need to understand anything, just that if you do as he says, and you have good aim, you’ll stay in one piece. Isn’t that great? :D
He needs us just as much as we need him. Simple as that.
New recruit: *Thoughtful + in awe* Yeah… (人´∀`)
I-I’m sorry sir, this is just such a huge honor—
Megatron: Oh no, the honor's all yours.
New recruit: Really? (Oh right—) Sir?
Megatron: Why, of course. You should be commended for making such a wise decision.
Many do not, and for that our planet bears the brunt of their weakness.
New recruit: How many?
Megatron: Don’t worry, they will repent in time, for the fate of Cybertron is in your very servos.
Skywarp: *Ruining it* Well not just your servos, but the many servos of…um…“like-minded individuals”. :D
Megatron: Skywarp.
Skywarp: You’re gonna be fine.
I should go, I’ll just go, you know, with…things to do, and… Peace. *Teleports*
Megatron: We can get things done too, yes?
New recruit: Yessir.
Megatron: *Slips away from their hands + transforms* Good, we'll start now.
New recruit: *Gets led away* O_O
/ Aw, what a nice, smart and humble leader who just wants to save his home planet from all the stupid robots 🥺
Hey, when you get to know him, you’ll realize that he’s actually so down-to-earth, and he'll even literally give himself to you because he cares that much and doesn't want you to be so helpless
He fights and works so hard for everyone and our home, that it's only fair for us to do the same, right? How can he possibly be a bad guy?
Yeah, he can get angry and touchy sometimes, and make costly mistakes sometimes, but he's just stressed, everyone gets stressed
They just don't get it and refuse to even try, and everyone is suffering as a result :(
They're the problem, not us, and they keep getting in our way
Our way is the only way that matters. Their ways are scrap
They. Are. Scrap. And should be treated as such
They should suffer, just as much as they’ve made us suffer
And that, my friends, is how your spark/soul becomes his to handle 😄
(Frag yeah, peace through tyranny! ( •̀ ᴗ •́ )و)
10. Like this. ‘Nuff said
Tumblr media
No seriously, ‘nuff said—this post’s long enough as it is. 😅
I know I’ll come up with more gun mode s***, but for now, I’m just gonna arm myself with an eraser and await the death stick.
PS: You know what? Tank mode's funnier.

TF Earthspark S1 Episode 21: What it Means to Be Believed -- An Analysis Post
Tumblr media
Putting this analysis behind a spoiler cut, as these episodes came out today!
The conversation between Hashtag and Starscream here immediately reminded me of the times I've spoken with abuse victims.
Hashtag: Is this how Megatron treated you?
Starscream: ...You believe me?
Hashtag: I believe he hurt you.
Starscream: You don't know me! You couldn't possibly understand what I've been through!
Hashtag: Then tell me. When bad things happen, it isn't always our fault. There was this Mandroid guy, and he hacked my systems! And I...
So, let's talk about this exchange.
Starscream starts out aggressively just before this conversation, attempting to order Hashtag around.
She declines, and immediately identifies that Starscream's behaviour has likely been informed by prior abuse.
She highlights this in the moment and gets Starscream to notice his verbally aggressive approach by making him realise that he is behaving how Megatron used to treat him-- She does this by using questioning, not by using accusatory language.
This is REALLY IMPORTANT, and is a good approach. When someone is behaving poorly or offensively, encourage them to reflect in the moment by posing a question. It prevents any sense of being challenged, as they are now set up to challenge themselves. "Is my behaviour actually negative? Am I being hurtful?"
This approach is successful, and stops Starscream outright.
It shocks him, to be given the leeway of genuine understanding. This catches him off guard so severely, that we actually get a totally honest reply from him. "You believe me?"
Which is a really significant moment, because Starscream is constantly subject to being, essentially, assumed evil. The other bots often see his negative behaviour and lashing out in a very surface-level kind of way; They don't further investigate or try to think about why, exactly, Starscream is like this.
We don't know how he used to be, before the war or during the war, in this continuity quite yet. But it is heavily implied that a lot of his current behaviour is informed by trauma, and some of that trauma very clearly stems from his prior relationship with Megatron.
Starscream is genuinely surprised that anyone is willing to look past that surface level and actually think: Why is he like this? Where is this behaviour coming from?
Hashtag rightly identifies that what Starscream is saying and how he is saying it is very reminiscent of commanding language; She knows Megatron was his superior officer during the war. She knows Starscream has a poor relationship with Megatron. She knows that as a lower ranked Decepticon, he likely was subject to at least some mistreatment, and that mistreatment is echoed in his "taking command" approach here.
Because to Starscream, "taking command" means being aggressive and controlling. It means using intimidation and belittlement to stay on top.
And Hashtag rightly assumes that this is likely because this is how Megatron did it.
This is how Megatron treated him.
Of course, Starscream responds defensively, as anyone might expect.
It hurts to become aware that you are mirroring harmful behaviour, that you are acting out your hurt on others in a way that hurt was inflicted upon you, and Starscream understandably retorts by claiming that of course, Hashtag doesn't know him-- Or, it is implied, his past.
He is trying to protect himself or instil a sense of control over the conversation by creating distance, while also trying to work up some defensive anger in himself-- How presumptuous of her, to assume!
Except, she's right. And he knows that.
So instead of throwing a fit, he listens when she continues.
Hashtag does two very correct things here:
First, she lets Starscream know that she encourages him to talk about it. She's willing to listen.
Second, she offers some support by starting to talk about her own experience of being abused-- When Mandroid took away her self-agency and assumed control of her.
This is a good and fairly common way that abuse victims tend to offer support to one another; It's often encouraged in certain types of group therapy or support sessions for people to share similar experiences, or experiences that evoked similar feelings, when it's appropriate and beneficial for those present (including the speaker) to do so.
She is attempting to reinforce to Starscream that even though she might not know his pain, she knows her own-- By sharing that trauma with him and being vulnerable herself, that might provide a connection point for them both and could possibly encourage Starscream to open up a bit to her.
This is roughly where the conversation is interrupted, so we don't get to hear Starscream's response.
But I think Hashtag intuitively had a very good approach here: She identified a traumatised person lashing out in a way that was familiar to them but harmful to others, in a way that is indicative of potential prior abuse, and made an effort to provide a safe opportunity for Starscream to talk it out without any fear of repercussions.
She made sure Starscream knows that she is listening and paying attention to him.
She made sure Starscream knows that she believes him, that he does have someone willing to hear his side of the story and genuinely take him at his word.
And that is immensely important; It is common for abuse victims and traumatised people to attempt to self-isolate or lash out, and she saw through Starscream's behaviour here for what it was: An abused person lashing out, trying to close off, behaving in hurtful ways that reflect the hurtful ways they were treated as a defence mechanism.
Starscream needs someone like Hashtag, who won't judge him based on preconceived notions of who he was as a Decepticon, who is willing to listen and give him an opportunity, who is willing to counter his withdrawal by providing honesty and letting him know that she wants to keep the conversation open and give him the space to speak freely about his hurt.
I also especially like that she makes a point of mentioning that we are not at fault for how we are hurt by others. We're not always in control of how we feel, or how we express our feelings.
She doesn't blame Starscream for lashing out. She gets it.
Alleviating Shame: It Is Not Your Fault
Hashtag had her autonomy violated in a very serious way, and although it's not the same thing, Starscream as part of a militarised faction and command structure lost a lot of his autonomy to his service under Megatron-- You don't get to walk away if you're second in command, assuming he held that same position in this continuity for most if not all of the war.
Hashtag is forced to deal with what Mandroid did to her, and Starscream is forced to deal with how Megatron treated him.
Neither of them had any say in what happened to them, or what was done to them, or how it hurts afterwards.
Hashtag knows she has support from her family, but who does Starscream really have? The other fliers, sure, but to what degree? How much support does Starscream really get from anyone, ever?
By letting him know she's been hurt too, even though she didn't get to finish her sentence, she's let him know that he's not entirely alone.
By making the point that nobody can be responsible for what others do to them, Starscream is told outright-- possibly for the first time--that the way Megatron treated him is not his fault.
Internalised Blame: Guilt and Failure Under Megatron's Command
Starscream may very well blame himself, to some degree; We don't know exactly how he's internalised anything, but we do know that Starscream was reasonably high ranking, and was in that command structure for most of the war.
In most militarised ranking structures, it is often the case that officers are considered responsible for errors, mistakes, losses etc. that may fall under a branch of their command which are many times realistically somewhat beyond their ability to control.
This can be a significant source of internalised blame for a lot of former military officers or even military personnel in general; "We lost X soldiers/civilians/etc. and it was my fault" is not an uncommon sentiment, even when realistically it is no single individual's fault and certain circumstances or occurrences are beyond anyone's control.
Megatron likely came down hard on Starscream for any losses, whether it was territory, soldiers, or anything else. He likely came down hard on Starscream for just about anything, after a certain point.
It's entirely possible that Starscream started to internalise these situations as personal blame, as both a result of serving in a war where officers are held ultimately accountable, and as a result of Megatron's treatment of him in general.
He may not have been able to separate "challenges experienced as a commander" and "personal failings" after a while.
And any further/prolonged abuse from Megatron would have only compounded that trend of internalising anything and everything as blame, failure, his own fault-- Not as an officer, but as a person-- Even if it explicitly could not have been.
Emulating Harmful Behaviours: Identify, Understand, Address
This would go some way to partially explaining why Starscream starts to exhibit this aggressive, commanding behaviour; He ends up likely unintentionally emulating Megatron's harmful leadership style, because he sees Megatron as being successful and powerful and in control, while he feels as though he is the opposite in every way.
Abuse has a tendency to make people feel less-than. It can remove people's sense of agency and confidence. It can make people think that their personal traits or inherent elements of their self are suddenly no good, that they could have done something or should have done something, if they were "better".
This is one way that abused people can sometimes start copying or reflecting harmful behaviours from their abusers; They don't know what else they can do. They may be disconnected from themselves to the degree that adopting these behaviours seems like the only "right" option, because it's the only thing that makes people back off, that makes them have that sense of strength or control that their abuser has stripped from them.
I say this a lot in some of my posts, but it's important to remember that while a behaviour may not be OK, we do need to understand.
It's important to recognise this type of repeating back prior experienced abuse, and to not dismiss people who may be hurt when they are lashing out or copying abusive behaviour-- It's important when safe and appropriate to do so to identify this is happening, to make an effort to understand it, and help the person do the same. That's when addressing internalised abusive behaviours can start.
This can take a lot of work, therapy, support, etc. to start identifying, let alone start addressing it-- But it's very possible for abuse victims to restore their sense of self and regain confidence in their capability and identity.
When abused people reflect back prior abusive behaviours that they have experienced, this does not make them a bad person. It means they have been abused, and they may need help to realise they are doing this, and may need help to identify why in a safe way, and may need help to start actually processing trauma in a healthier way for themselves and others.
Hashtag has opened a door for Starscream in more than one way, in this episode.
She's giving him a chance to do this.
She's helping him identify his harmful behaviours, she's acknowledging that he feels bad, that he was made to feel less-than, in ways that she might not have experienced herself-- But she's experienced similar feelings if not the same exact situations, and she's willing to share her own trauma with him. Hopefully he feels he can share with her, too.
I've spoken with plenty of abuse victims, and it's common to hear "You weren't there, you don't know!" or similar retorts when attempting to encourage conversation around some sensitive or traumatising memories or experiences.
It's not always appropriate to provide one's own traumatic experiences in response, but in cases where it is safe and appropriate to do so, I have rolled up my own sleeves and shown my own scars. I have talked about my own traumas as a way of showing support and as a way of showing someone that even if their individual experiences were unique, the feelings they experienced were not, and those feelings can provide a common ground and help provide a point around which to help build rapport. It can also help provide perspective, external to themselves, which can be ultimately positive.
It can also be a show of good faith: I'm not going to judge you. I believe you. I have been hurt, too. Our situations are different, but the way we were made to feel at times was similar.
When appropriate, this can be a pretty effective way to help someone open up about things that are potentially very hard to talk about, or to discuss feelings that are very complex or "tangled" in a way that takes some work to sort out in a healthier, safer way.
Hashtag offered her own traumatic experience to Starscream here, as a way of hopefully meeting Starscream halfway.
And hopefully, it was at least to some degree successful.
So I think Hashtag did a great job in this scene, and I hope we see Starscream take this opportunity that has been afforded to him to give the Malto Bots a chance...
...And to give himself a chance, as well.
----
This is entirely unedited as I continue to watch the episode, as I just got home from work, but I hope it was interesting to someone! :)

I've been thinking about ways how to make the Terrans actually memorable, relatable, and likeable for their target audience. The show overuses the "kids being kids" until the Terrans come off as an obnoxious bunch rather than naive youngsters who real children can relate to..
.
Twitch:
As eldest with Thrash, she steps up to the role as Leader. She tries her best to be a good role model for the triplets, but she has a short temper. She broke the table on her first family game night. She flew right on OP's face after he admits his obliviousness about the Terrans' nature that they themselves don't know about. She and Thrash climbed on Alex's/Dot's car that miraculously didn't break (wth - you grounded them for breaking the kitchen wall but not when they almost crush your car to pose??).
Twitch needs an episode where she learns a hard lesson to control her temper - preferably where she hurt her own family. It's perfect for children who don't behave well when dealing with negative emotions.
Thrash:
He takes the role as the overprotective eldest. It fits his characteristic as the Defender and shield-user. He gatekeeps the triplets for their own safety and out of paranoia after the incident with Swindle. He would also have the "I know better" atittude to reflect those who think they know better than their others around them when--in truth--they don't.
I'd like an episode where he accuses someone is doing something awful to the family only for his accusations to become the very cause of the episode's problem. This can teach children to avoid jumping into conclusions and not let their bad experiences cloud their judgement.
Hashtag:
She represents people who made everything about themselves resolve around their interests and hobbies. She relies on the internet & her hacking skills too much. She also seems to be the type who assumes "lots of reading = expertise" and forgot the importance of direct experiences. Her interaction with Starscream gives off that she has read things about PTSD--most likely to understand Grimlock's situation--while recklessly ignoring the part where he's a millennium-old Decepticon.
I'd like to see moments where the family calls out Hashtag's obsessions, like the time she demands JB to cry on camera when he's obviously uncomfortable with it.
"Stop being a director and be my sister right now."
Nightshade:
They represent children who feels isolated from their own family, and adoptees who doesn't immediately consider their guardians as family. Nothing much to be said here because their alt mode episode originally has a nice buildup for it. Sadly it was scrapped.
Nightshade's different form of enjoyment is also a way to educate children who has yet to understand why they can't find themselves enjoying what most kids do to have fun, that it's okay, and they aren't alone in this.
Jawbreaker:
Big boy represents children who feels left behind either in their own family or in their age group. His journey in choosing an alt mode is perfect, but the show made him appear annoyingly useless to the viewers instead of emphasizing his feelings of uselessness.
This could also be a way to demonstrate WHY the Terrans must have an alt mode -- so they'd have proper exterior protection because the protoform isn't as sturdy as JB's size made him appear to be. Although he has what it takes to do certain tasks, his protoform doesn't allow him to do so. Hence his desperation to find an alt mode.
