I feel like Marinette keeping secrets like that is so consistent with her character; she hates giving people bad news, she hates rocking the boat, she hates upsetting people, she always chooses to keep any 'controversial' information to herself for as long as she can get away with (examples: bubbler scarf, telling Queen Bee she was benched, confessing to Adrien, warning Chat Noir about Scarabella or Rena Furtive, never told Chat Noir about Chat Blanc, etc) that I just totally believe she would've done it either way. i see this take in my inbox a lot and it's kind of the first reaction anyone ever has when first encountering spideypool – this is almost baby's first spideypool take, sorry anon. and for me, it's broke. it's a broke take.

"this one can't die" is a horrible reason to date someone, sorry. and the durability of said partner has never been a factor in who peter parker chooses to date.

i like to think peter's drawn to wade for a reason almost entirely opposite to that - he's drawn to wade because he's dangerous, not because he's safe.

i like to think he's into wade for the same reason he's into putting on tights and getting into fights. for the excitement. not because "this one can't die." i don't think that even comes into consideration for peter. and i don't want it to come into consideration for peter. it's such a horrible, awful reason to date someone.

i don't think peter even takes any solace in wade's immortality at all. wade can still get hurt. and peter will still, instinctively, jump in the line of fire for wade. it doesn't even come as a consideration for him, to just, you know, let wade get hurt, oh, because he can heal. no!!

peter isn't smart enough for that.

he thinks with his heart, not his head.

and i don't think peter even truly believes wade is immortal. i think he's seen enough superhero bullshit in his time to know nobody is truly immortal. and i think peter having lost so many people close to him - it doesn't allow him to feel in any way secure that his lover is immortal. anyone feels immortal at the time. until they aren't.

peter worries about wade. worries how reckless wade can be - how wade doesn't seem to care about the damage he sustains because he thinks he can heal but peter - peter doesn't see it as that simple. and he knows some wounds can't heal.

i even think - just a little bit, that wade's immortality might be something that - miraculously, peter feels guilty about. i think peter feels more worried that something will happen to him – spider-man - and he'll leave wade a widow. i think that's something he'll feel bad about. it's honestly why i haven't touched the idea of peter finding out he died in civil war - he'll bug his own head so much - not about his own mortality, but how guilty he feels to have left wade with all that trauma.

so no. no! wade's immortality does not give peter solace. it keeps him up at night if he thinks about it too hard. peter can't not worry, it's chronic. and for all the reasons he should be relaxed that wade can't die, he worries about it all the more.

"wh-what?" caitlyn stammered. she glanced over to you. maybe you were sleep-talking. sure, that's a weird ass phrase to say while asleep, but every sleep talker says dumb shit sometimes.

you glanced back at her, eyes wide open and dazzling with curiosity. "i mean, each dino species had a different diet and habitat. do you think based off their diets and habitats, their poop would smell different and have different colors?"

caitlyn couldn't even fathom an answer. her mind literally went blank. luckily for her, vi chipped in on the opposite side of the bed. her voice raspy and low. she was obviously asleep, but the quiet chatter woke her up. "babe, what the fuck are you talking about?"

"dinos!" you exclaimed. vi shushed you as she turned over to face you.

"why the fuck are we talking about dinos?" she squinted in your direction. even though caitlyn's light wasn't bright in the slightest, it was like the fucking sun compared to the darkness that was previously behind vi's eyes.

"and why do you know so much about their habitats and diets?" caitlyn chimed. she closed her book, but kept a hold of her light. she loved seeing how your eyes sparkled with wonder and how the corner of your lips upturned as you spoke about your random dinosaur inquiry.

"um, because it's common knowledge."

"no, the fuck it's not." "who said that?"

you blinked. all your life you knew just about everything about dinosaurs. you knew their DNA buildup, and bone structure, which dinos had more genetic tissue than the other. you were asking them a simple question and they didn't know?

sat up, your eyes shift between them. Vi is on the urge of falling back asleep and caitlyn is patiently waiting on the answer to her question. with a giggle, you shook your head. "you guys are so funny. anyways, i think the herbivores' poop is more green than the others because of their plant-based diet-"

"ugh, just go to sleep!" vi wrapped her arms around your waist and pulled down. with your back now on the mattress and giggles escaping from you once again, violet puts her head on your chest. "you talk too much. it's sleepy time and caitlyn, turn off that light for the love of god."

not phased by her sleepy crankiness because she's in love with her, caitlyn turned off the light with a slight chuckle. she's finally snuggled under the covers and joined the cuddle pile.

Alright, I need to speak to SOMEONE with more of a vast understanding of characterization than me and considering well you can piece it together why I'm saying this to you specifically there's just a little bit of signs that point to you liking DDLC I dunno Anyhow but I got into ddlc about a month ago? I think I don't really remember, could've been a month and a half but from what I've seen, the wiser fandom belief is that Monika in no way feels any real romantic attraction to the player, and is just feeling like they are due to their desire and need to be real or that she's faking her attraction but, that doesn't exactly make sense to me, yknow? because in partial matters, the reason she starts doing what she does in the events of ddlc is because she wasn't given a romance route, so that points to her, in fact, craving romantic attention but being guarded off by the fact that the game literally doesn't have a route for her so even if by the end of the game she doesn't hold that sentiment, she did start it all because she wanted to be loved which by the end of the game? I still don't think it's just a masked desire to be real, sure, that can be present, but I don't think it's the singular thing that's on her mind and whilst the idea of her love being just the desire to be real, does make a lot of sense to be honest I really don't like it being the only thing, yknow? because to her at least, she does love the player, and I don't think the desire to be real would make sense for her actions after you delete her because post deletion she does outwardly reset everything so that you can be happy with the literature club and that doesn't make sense to me if she's just craving to be real, yknow? it can be a combo of wanting to be real and loving the player, but just wanting to be real alone doesn't explain why she chooses to set back the literature club and as well as the post-deletion-full-deletion I feel like people see her as being way more emotionally distant than she is I mean, place yourself as the only "real" one in a scenario, unable to achieve what could be your only lifeline to be real you'd do the same, right? but when she deletes the club it's because of Sayori getting admin permissions due to being head of the club, and Monika seeing herself doing all she did, going again deleting the club out of a mercy because, fairly, there's no happy endings in it I think that's it I write out alot, so yknow but yeah! those are all my thoughts seeya!

i feel like calling my takes "a more vast understanding of characterisation" gives them wayyy more credit than they should lol

in my experience, the fandom is kind of split between "monika did not love the player at all" and "monika did everything for the player and no other reason". which seems to be kind of a pattern when it comes to monika's character, shes either a complete monster or she did nothing wrong, she either loves the player or doesn't, she either cares deeply for the girls or she never cared at all. shes kind of always either one end of the spectrum or the other. and personally i think trying to fit her in such black and white categories really limit what you can do with her character.

my take on the whole "does monika actually love the player?" is yeah she definitely thinks she does, and maybe she does truly as well, but also it's way more complicated.

anyway, ive spent a lot of time questioning if monika's love for the player is real and the conclusion ive reached is that i don't think I'll ever be 100% sure if its not or if it is, simply because i dont think monika herself knows. she definitely truly believes its love, the main question is can we take her belief of it at face value?

Random headcanons and rambling about poppy Playtimes smiling critters

In the show, Dogday and Catnap are really good friends, but since the show was set in the 90s (I think), the creators didn't want Catnap and Dogday to be mistaken as a couple, so they kinda subtly implied in the show that one of the other smiling critters (maybe BobbyBearhug since she's also bubbly and stuff, and, well, it was the 90s) had a crush on Dogday on something, but tbh I think it would be pretty funny if people in the poppy Playtime universe started shipping Dogday and Catnap and BobbyBearhug with another smiling critters member (if they also ship the smiling critters in the poppy Playtime universe, I mean, almost everything has their own fandom, anyways)

Also Catnap is afraid of cucumbers, and there's a running gag that he falls asleep at inconvenient times

Running gag that Dogday is afraid of sunflowers cause they look at him (inspired by hyena-euphoria), and maybe the others being like "but they're SUNflowers, and you're DogDAY!" And maybe they have a episode of them trying to help him get over his fear (whether it works or not idk, cause it could be a fail and the lesson is "it's okay to be afraid, you can't control your emotions, dont force yourself into doing what you don't like" or they succeed and it's like "face your fears!!!")

I can't choose if in the show they talk to the audience or not, but I'm guessing not, but it would be really funny if like, Dogday was the only one who could talk to the audience, and there's a running gag of Dogday talking to the audience and the other critters are just like "???", but most likely no,

Also, yeah, it's probably just an ad the animation thing is, seeing how short it was and stuff, but like, a show is so cool, yknow?

BUT if it is an ad, or a show to sell toys / show that has merch, then seeing how Catnap was introduced, I think it would be cute if like, they were introduced one by one, with Dogday first (since he's the leader, and it could help with my headcanon that Dogday talks to the audience, but not the others, since he was the first and stuff, and maybe it was kinda like Dora the explorer or something) and Catnap last,

Also, I while I was making a crackfic for the Smiling critters, I was rambling to one of my friends, introducing the characters to them so I could explain the story I was making, I showed them Craftycorn and saw Crafty was a girl, and they said "oh, I thought they were a guy but fruity". And one time I was looking at catnap and Dogdays heights, and I saw catnaps height was 16ft, so I said, "oh, Dogday is probably also 16ft, or, well...8ft"

Anyways, the smiling critters would def not like anyone who calls BubbaBubbaphant a nerd (in a bad way), and maybe there's also a episode where Kickin calls Bubba that (in shortening their names cause it's kinda long, and writing their names over and over again is driving me mad) and the lesson at the end is "it's not cool to call people names!!" (Cause lessons and kids shows, idk)

There's probably a bullying episode where the smiling critters get bullied and they defeat the bullies and the lesson is it's not cool to bully,

The smiling critters probably caters to very young audiences, but teens also like watching it with their siblings and such (when they're not like, "that's for kids!!") Just for the story and/or to criticize the smiling critters for getting into dumb situations

Okay so Roy was a human as we can see in episode 5, and if I'm not mistaken I believe he's the one in the picture at the hair shop's window, right next to someone who has brown short hair (could it be Lesley? If its not, since it looks like a smaller person, could it be David/Yellow?)

Theres so many possibilities with Roy, he's such a mistery to me, I know it would be too obvious for him to be upstairs from Lesley but I also think it's possible. I've seen the creators say Lesley is not human and that's the reason she has stitches and "teddy stuffing" so she may be some sort of puppet too? Or something among those lines? I believe we may be missing someone else if Roy isn't upstairs, but who could it be? He used to be in charge of everything, it would be weird if he wasn't anymore.

I'm also struggling with understanding how the puppet world was created, but maybe Roy and Lesley created it together, somehow, I just don't know how since it looks like they were both human. Maybe they can choose their appearances that way and Roy took on a puppet-like appearance so he could blend in better with the others.

I would say he did himself dirty with that puppet but yknow seeing his human appearance maybe its not that inaccurate. And I mean full offense to him but man is ugly as hell😔 Lesley went for personality fr

Why was Duck at his house? I believe Red and Duck were people Lesley knew and they died too, so she wanted to keep them alive through the "show". Maybe he was involved with Roy before he died. What if Roy didn't like him and that's why Duck goes through so much? If Lesley and Roy are in charge together then chances are they have to take decisions together, Lesley repairs Duck everyday by giving him a new body and Roy enjoys killing him.

We also know Roy doesn't like Yellow, he calls him "silly, arrogant and rude" in the interview and says that's the reason he takes him on a trip to punish land. Or if he does love him then he's a pretty questionable dad, regardless of intention. Lesley does quite the opposite, saying he's her favorite, but then she yells at him. I believe they're both kinda... eh. At parenting.

Chances are they didn't plan on getting stuck at the puppet world too, but now there's no way out and they're just as trapped as the main trio.

things of note that i think are fun.... nene and rui had major questioning phases pre-wxs about being aroace. i'd imagine nene being really confused why everyone around her seemed so interested in dating and romance and the whole amatanormative feel of dramatic media and such. it's in so many plays, and people get in so many shipping wars/draw suggestive art for games. it's hard to ignore as a theater kid and gamer. she didn't get it and felt isolated. she came across the term aroace online but had a hard time accepting that she might be that, but eventually silently embraced it. rui on the other hand knew full well he was not like other people. he's not the kind of guy who would pick and choose a crush that isn't there. being aroace and a middle/high schooler made him feel even more lonely and alienated from his peers. he agknowledged the fact he was aroace pretty easily, but it took him a lot longer to accept that isn't a bad thing at all.

emu and tsukasa had NO clue they were aroace. did not occur to them at all. emu had to be told it was a thing and she went "huh? OHHH THATS ME !!!! :D". skipped teh entire questioning/am i broken stage and went right to "hehehehehehe". (though other people don't believe her that often. emu is so full of love. how could someone like her not fall in love with other people? she's too young. she hasn't met the right person yet. it's just a phase. her siblings started off as ignorantly aphobic, but then realized the fault of their ways and learned.). my hc for tsukasa is a bit different than other peoples, but i am fully convinced he thought he was bisexual for teh LONGEST time. "guys and girls can both be good looking, so i must be bi! yeah the extent of my feelings is "they're cool" ... what do you mean that's not what a crush is". it was a shocking revelation to him that people actually want to kiss/have sex for real. he's accepted being aroace and actively embraces it, though he still feels connected to teh bi label. he'd like the concept of tertiary attraction and probably label as bi aroace, to honor both.

i like to think that tsukasa accidentally came out first (accidentally meaning he simply forgot to tell them and then was surprised when they were all surprised). emu was like !!!!! omg samsies and nene laughed and came out, too. wxs were the first people rui ever said the words "aromantic asexual" out loud to.

i personally think aroace polyshow never actually labeled themeselves as such, but BOY do tehy act like they're all married. they just care about each other soooooo much. its platonic its queer platonic its romantic its everything all blended together. if its them, they can do anything. with the shared knowledge of being aroace, they all also sort of feel more comfortable being openly affectionate, yknow? there's no risk of misinterpretation of intent- they love each other. they love each other in a way that they cannot describe and most people wouldn't understand. they are tied by their love of shows and their love of each other. emu is really physically affectionate and they all feel safe cuddling with her. rui lightheartedly flirts and half the time i dont think he even realizes he's doing it, the other half he's just trying to be silly. nene excels in the silent acts of love, making sure the stage is clean and there's always a few snacks backstage and honeslty just being there for everyone.

they have game night/sleepover every once in a while, usually during planning stages of shows. there's also a high likelyhood one goes to another's house at least once a week for some reason.

oh also they never do romance plays ever. it was a revelation tehy only came to after coming out. it just... never occured to them to do one. and now that they all know none of them can fall in love they actively try and avoid it. they've re-written fables to be about the power of friendship, or re-imagined the tale to the point romance wouldn't even be on anyone's mind. it's not a theme the audience ever picks up on, but at the same time they do? they don't realize the pattern but nobody ever comes out of a show with that interpretation. their shows are a hit every time, too. ("story" doesn't mean "romance", after all).

so picture this, its a hot day so our dear skele boys and MC decide to go to the beach for some fun and to cool down a bit. then they decide to go swimming! duh! MC suggests that they should play Chicken fight (the one where you sit on someone else's shoulder and push the other team down).

Sans His Shoulders - He’s more confused about how he got roped into all this before becoming extremely flustered. This might come across as uncomfortable but only because he has no idea what to do or how this happened.

Someone Else - Actually prefers this, there is a nice view from the side of the game and he thinks you’ll both have more fun this way. Plus he’s not in danger of getting flustered and embarrassing himself.

Papyrus His Shoulders - He’s just very excited about the game and doesn’t think too much about it. It just seems like a fun idea to him and he’s always up for doing fun activities. He’s a great partner and has no problem lifting you up, the two of you dominate the game easily. 

Someone Else - He really doesn’t mind as it’s just a game. As long as everyone is having fun he isn’t going to throw a fuss although he does manage to get in your good books by cheering you up when you lose a round and hit the water pretty hard. 

Red His Shoulders - He has no idea how he was lucky enough to be paired with you but he isn’t going to complain about it. He will make several inappropriate jokes and take the opportunity to grope your ass claiming his hand simply slipped. He is very much enjoying himself

Someone Else - He’s going to grumble about it but actually doesn’t do much. He wouldn’t want to be on his team either so it’s fine. He tries to convince himself that it’s just a game and for fun and after a while he starts to believe it and enjoy his time. 

Edge His Shoulders - He gets very quiet but does play alone. Really he’s trying not to show how excited he is but everyone else can see him blushing that he gets to be so close to you. He is a perfect gentleman for the whole game and the two of you do pretty well even if he does get distracted a few times by how soft your thighs are. 

Someone Else - He will huff about it but at the end of the day you choose who you wanted to be partnered  so he won't make a big deal out of it. In fact he becomes very focused on the game and makes it very fun for you. 

Blue His Shoulders - he is so excited and pumped. Declaring that the two of you will be the best partners ever and you'll destroy the other teams. His hand may slip a few times but with his sincere apologies you're sure it was an accident. Of course the others don't miss his smirk or blue tinted cheek bones. 

Someone Else - he might pout a bit hearing your choice but he won't let it show for to long. Instead choosing to sabotage your partner any subtle way he can think of. Look if he can't be partnered with you he's at least going to win. 

Orange His Shoulders - Heck yes, he is so excited. He loves the feeling of your thighs wrapped around his skill and he wants this moment to last forever. After a while though he sort of forgets about the position as his competitive side takes over and he gets really into the game. 

Someone Else - He’s pissed that you’re on someone else’s shoulders, he has a bit of a jealous streak which he is trying to work on but it’s still pretty obvious that he’s upset. He may have blackmail on all of the other skeletons though and might just use it to trade places UNLESS he is the one fighting you then his competitive side takes over and all he wants is to crush you. 

Berry His Shoulders - Is super embarrassed. He doesn’t want you to pick anyone else but being this ‘intimate’ in public is very much throwing him off. Even though you're not being intimate at all technically. He forces himself into work mode and is uncharacteristically quiet as he tries to focus on the game and not how good your thighs feel. 

Someone Else - You know he will verbally tell everyone just how upset he is about your decision although will also refuse to be your partner if you offer to swap, denying that he wants to be your partner. He does end up playing but is mad about it the whole time. 

Syrup His Shoulders - This is his heaven. Even if it annoys his brother there is no way in hell that he is giving up this opportunity. Having you this close to him with your bare skin is driving him crazy. His hands slightly dig into your thighs as he holds you in place. He won’t be concentrating to much on the game

Someone Else - He’s a bit disappointed although will try not to let this show and just get on with the game even if he doesn’t really want to play. He won’t sabotage anyone but he does plan to get you alone after the game.

What are your thoughts/opinions on Stancy these days?

i really dislike it honestly 😭 i think that steve and nancy are drawn to each other for a lot of reasons, none of which are like... reasons to be in a relationship. like the things that make them interested in each other in my mind are:

the fact that they were more or less each other's first love. even with nancy's "like we're in love" speech i don't think that she would have stayed with steve for a full year after s1 if she didn't love him in some way, even if that wasn't like Real Romantic Love the way we typically think of it, yknow? and we know that nancy was the first person to really make steve feel seen and like somebody was listening to him and cared about him.

the fact that they were together at a very pivotal moment in both of their lives, namely barb's death, the discovery of the upside down, and steve's big change. it's kinda like mike telling el that his life started when he met her. steve and nancy were together when both of their lives fundamentally changed forever, and i think that kinda drives them both to see each other as like... something safe to fall back on.

they each like who the other person thinks they are. sorry i'm really struggling to articulate this but i think that like... i think they've both sorta mythologized each other. steve looks at nancy and sees something more than a scared teenage girl and nancy looks at steve and sees something more than an aimless teenage boy. this might sound romantic but i think that when they were together, they would both act to an extent to try and fit into the image that the other person had in their mind. nancy liked being the sort of perfect, put-together girl that steve sees her as, and steve liked being the sort of carefree, all-american boy that nancy sees him as. when they're together, they get to pretend.

continuing on that note, they both have the desire to feel young and reclaim some of their lost innocence and childhood. for a little while at least, steve and nancy had a normal high school relationship. they kissed in the school bathroom and left little notes in their lockers and snuck around their parents. they never had that sense of carefree innocence again after s1 and i think they both subconsciously think that maybe if barb hadn't died and shit hadn't gone wrong, they could have felt that way forever.

and maybe they could have! there's no way of knowing. but the world they live in and the people they are now are so different from they world they lived in and the people they were back in 1983. no matter how much they might wish it, there's no way to go back and make it so that nothing terrible ever happened. maybe s1 steve and nancy could have worked out and been happy together for the rest of their lives. maybe they would have broken up eventually anyway, but s4 steve and nancy are choosing not to think about that option.

s4 steve and nancy are stressed, afraid, and uncertain about the future, and i think they're flirting with each other again as a coping mechanism. they want different things in life and i personally don't think that they're romantically compatible, they don't necessarily bring out the best in each other, but believing in the possibility of rekindling their romance allows them to indulge in the idea that maybe they can still be the kids they once were. they can still lead the lives they wanted to lead. the upside down hasn't changed everything.

but it has, and unfortunately a dream just isn't enough to build a relationship.

re: your post about vaginismus. idk if that's specifically what i have but i definitely have some sort of pelvic floor disorder going on and i was wondering if it's not just an option to never ever partake in any sort of vaginal penetration ever? everyone always acts like you HAVE to treat it by, you know, putting things in your vagina. but i am just not okay with that even remotely even a little bit ever at all. i would genuinely consider any kind of penetration to be sexual assault and would never ever consent to it, not even for medical purposes.

i tried pelvic floor therapy that involved "external" work like breathing & muscle exercises but it really felt like it wasn't helping and was so unjustifiably expensive that i honestly feel like i got scammed :/

i've even spoken to two separate sex therapists about it and all they did was tell me my feelings were valid but never actually offered any helpful insights or advice, leading me to believe they've never encountered anyone like me before, like i'm maybe the most uniquely messed up person in the world to the point that not even sex therapists—whose whole job (i perhaps falsely believed) is helping people with sexual issues—know what to do with me.

so what is someone like me supposed to do?

so before i say anything else, i do just want to offer a disclaimer that i am not a medical professional and everything i say should be taken with a grain of salt, everything im gonna be saying here is speculation based solely on the things youve said and my own personal experiences. i also want to add my generic "if youre in the united states, do everything through planned parenthood" advisory here, they have excellent service and idk how they vet their references but it's kept me from having bad experiences through them so far, so it seems to be working and i highly recommend going through them for anything sexual health related if you have the ability.

now, with that out of the way, on to some more specific advice. so firstly, no, you do not have to treat it. your body is yours and you choose what happens to it. however, that doesn't automatically make every choice a healthy one. you could choose to never brush your teeth or go to the dentist, and anyone who tried to pin you down and forcefully clean your teeth would in fact be assaulting you, but that wouldn't change the fact that we brush our teeth for a reason yknow? it's your body and your choice, and you are allowed to make unhealthy choices if you want, but you should be able to ackowledge them as what they are. and i understand penetration can be scary and hard, believe me, but there are genuine health reasons for doing so. pap smears are how they check for cervical cancer (i just got one done today!), and even outside of that there are things that can cause major problems if left unchecked. for instance vaginal atrophy can make the walls of the vaginal canal dry out and stick together, and if that happens for an extended time with nothing to separate them, those walls can then fuse to and grow into each other. in severe cases, the vaginal canal can fully seal shut, the worst case i read about was a woman in an old folks home who had atrophy from menopause and no sexual activity, so she only found out when the growing skin sealed her /urethra/ shut.

i'm not telling you these things to scare you, but just to hopefully give you some perspective on why medical professionals are so insistent about it. the purpose of invasive tests like pap smears is to prevent having to do much more invasive work down the line to fix things, like cancer treatments or surgically reopening your pee hole. and that's not to say if you don't try to treat yours, those will 100% happen, my point is that if youre not able to work through this fear, you simply won't be able to take those preventative measures. like i said, its your body and you choose what happens to it, but like. there is a legitimate reason for people wanting treatment for vaginismus beyond just sex, i know some people do come at it from an angle of "rrgh sex is what makes us human you must be able to have sex ragagagahg" which is obviously fucked up, but a lot of it does actually come from a place of genuine concern for your health. also, this is just a sidenote, but the breathing and muscle exercises /do/ help, however if youre unwilling to consent to penetration then they don't really have a way to check if it's working and give you pointers on which exercises would actually help you the most. obv you know your situation better than i do so use your best judgement as to whether other factors point to it being a scam, but as someone who's been through that therapy i can confirm that those steps are a normal part of the therapy for it and aren't useless. it's just that therapists can only really help as much as you let them.

and with that, i want to move on to something else, and i know i said this before but i want to reiterate that everything im about to say is entirely speculation. that being said, im getting the feeling that maybe youre not being entirely truthful with yourself about this. you say that you don't want penetration and would never consent, but youve visited multiple doctors about it and are now reaching out to me for answers too. im not sure if the reply i got on that post to a similar tune around the same time was also you or not, but if it was then you reached out through multiple channels as well. and to me, that says that maybe you /do/ actually want to try treating it, but are being held back by fear. whether that fear is due to the previous bad experiences youve had or something else in your past, i couldnt tell you, but given all of that and esp the "maybe i'm a uniquely messed up person" part, i get the feeling that youre not as ok with having it as youre saying you are, and as id wager you mightve told those sex therapists? like. that to me doesnt sound like the statement of someone who is content with the way their body is functioning. to me, it sounds like you are unhappy with having this disorder but your previous attempts to resolve it have stalled out or gotten you nowhere, so youve convinced yourself you're fine with it rather than risk another failure.

because here's the thing. im very careful when talking about this disorder publically not to say that it makes one broken or that sex is a necessary part of being human. and ive been paying closer attention to how misunderstandings like these happen lately, and ive noticed that you can usually learn a lot from people based on what they get defensive about; "if the shoe fits" is a saying for a reason, after all. so when people read my post simply offering resources to those struggling with treatment and come away from it hearing "you are broken and should fix this," it tells me that that interpretation was likely already in their mind before they started reading, that that was the lense they were already viewing my words through. so when they hit a part that seemingly confirmed it, they got defensive. and again, this is all 100% speculation, i know nothing about you beyond this ask and can't know if this is accurate or not. all I'm saying is like. really take some time to sit with your feelings about this disorder and assess if you genuinely are fine with having it. idk if this was included in the version you saw, but in one of the additions to that post i mentioned that like. for a long time i felt the same about my disorder, i'm transmasc so there was something validating about only being able to do sex like a gay man, of not physically having the vaginal option, but. after a while i realized that was just a bandaid for me, an excuse to be ok with it rather than an explanation. whether i wanted to do it "the girl way" or not, i didn't like not getting the choice.

and that's a theme ive actually seen repeated in the tags of that post a bit, ive gotten comments from quite a few ppl saying "i'm ace so this shouldnt matter to me. And Yet...👀" because. like. its your body!!! you want to feel like you have full control over it!!!! choosing not to have sex or not to allow penetration can feel fundamentally different than basically having it dangled in front of your face your whole life but just out of reach. like, there are a bunch of people out there getting treatment because of this post specifically so that they can be ace but Harder. so like. idk, i think what im trying to say it that like. you dont have to try to make yourself be ok with penetration for any reason if you dont want to. but to me it sounds like having the choice could being you peace. reading your ask back, i notice that you didn't actually say youre ok with having this, just that youre vehemently /not/ ok with penetration, and idk. to me that sounds less like peace with where youre at and more like fear. and i think dealing with that fear might get you much further in accepting this part of yourself if just trying to be ok with it on its own isnt getting you anywhere.

now, all of that aside, if that speculation is wrong and it is just outside pressure giving you conflict, that gets a bit more difficult and idk how helpful my advice here can be. my first thought would be to try reaching out to a regular therapist rather than specifically a sex therapist, that way if your aversion to it turns out to be like trauma related or smth, they could help you deal with it, whether by helping you unwind that aversion or by figuring out why external opinions are influencing your self-image so much. other than that, maybe just. try really driving home that its not the penetration aversion thats giving you problems, but your feelings /about/ the aversion? im not sure how you brought this up to them but therapists can sometimes do this thing where they latch on to one specific idea and ignore what youre actually telling them, so i can imagine them getting easily sidetracked into thinking the conflict was about the penetration itself so when you said you were ok with not doing it, they were like "oh! cool well problem solved then, they just needed validation that theyre allowed to not want sex!:))!!!!!" which. sucks massively that that can happen, but therapists are human too and are not immune to having their own internal biases. either way, unfortunately without knowing more about your specific situation+therapist experiences, i don't think i can offer much specific help? it could have just been issues with those specific therapists, or it could have been like with the breathing+muscle exercises where there was something more going on behind the scenes that you werent aware of, or it could be that your issues with this are entirely unrelated to sex which is why sex therapists werent able to help. i would encourage trying more therapists, but i also very very much understand the mental exhaustion involved with that whole process (currently procrastinating setting up my own therapy appointments because my last three have sucked, so seriously, i /very/ much get it kwbfksbfkd) so i get it if that advice rings hollow. i will say though, ive heard from a friend who's currently in therapy that good therapists will indeed ask follow up questions and actually dig up the part thats bugging you, whether you entirely want to give it up or not, but i don't know if that translates for sex therapists. i should hope so but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows. either way though, them not being able to help does not mean youre uniquely fucked up, it just means that they werent the therapists for you.

the only other idea i really have is to just like. maybe familiarize yourself with signs of cervical cancer? i know very little about it myself so i dont even know if there are other external signs, but id assume yes and that people dont just Randomly Drop Dead One Day. so i would research like. what pains to keep an eye out for, changes in urinary habits, things like that, bc if it were me i think that would probably help me feel better abt the whole situation would be knowing i had a backup for the medical aspect.

this got really long and idk if there's a tldr that could do it justice but i think if i had to condense all of this down i would say that no, you are not broken for having this disorder and you do not have to fix it if you don't want to, but i kinda get the feeling that you maybe do want to? however that is entirely a guess that could easily be wrong, so if it is, then i would reach out to a non-sex therapist, because either way it does sound like these feelings are effecting you negatively quite a bit. you deserve to genuinely feel happy with your body, not to feel like the most uniquely messed up person in the world, and a good therapist can help you get there regardless of where those feelings are coming from.

but yeah, i hope this is helpful in some way and that the speculation was ok, it just. really sounds to me like your feelings on this might be more complex than you're letting yourself feel. and i hope that in the event i am wrong, i offered enough possible alternatives to still be helpful 💕 best of luck

writing michael after that last mall scene has been so weird. on purpose. but like everything he says is a catchy line ending on a discordant note. the sudden pivot from slowburn to joking about having sex and humanity = romance. every time michael interrupts or talks over jeremy instead of going out of his way to set a good example, i wince lol. encouraging them to stop thinking so much. ignoring every one of jeremy's soft "no"s because they're inconvenient. Here Are Our Stereotypical Nerd Spots and Here Is Your Mandated Giant Teddy Bear and Here Is My Secret Condom. (jeremy sprinted into the sunset before we got to that part and we all thank them for it.) jeremy never once having indicated that they wanted to actually have sex any time soon but michael did everything in his power to make sure the date would end that way without a single worry about what jeremy told them about chloe.

i don't think it's spoilers to clarify that michael was in the driver's seat for all of that, but was in a situation where he was very incentivized to listen to the SQUIP. and jeremy looooves squips so obviously the SQUIP is the expert on this, not michael :P

jeremy's definition of breaking up with someone is, consistently, running away from an emotionally charged moment and convincing themself that they hate them. lol.

christine accusing jeremy of talking at her was also a direct response to the author trying to get on their wikipedia-level-of-philosophy-knowledge soapbox again. btw on that note, observation selection effect seems to only be mentioned in places as a synonym for the anthropic principle. it is more specific than how jeremy defines it, being an existential thing about how "the range of possible observations that could be made about the universe is limited by the fact that observations could happen only in a universe capable of developing intelligent life" (~ wikipedia <3). i get away with a lot of bullshit claims, some of them even intentionally bullshit, bc the character making those claims is reading even less of the wikipedia article than i am.

but that was transparently just a nod to the book being one of the many parallel universes that are foundational to how the squip works in canon

i think all the main/supporting cast all think they're the main characters. except jeremy! not because of jeremy 1.0's insistence that he's not a leading man, but because they have been so busy with observing themself that they haven't even considered anyone else observing them and coming to different conclusions. (see: the PA system joke with michael which alerted the ENTIRE SCHOOOOooool 🎶 to their situation, which in jeremy's narrative, was just a gag as part of a longer fun flirty convo with michael, brought up for laughs and then forgotten.) (it's not like it's plot relevant as in that it doomed them or anything, but just a signal that not everyone perceives the fic events like jeremy does!!)

they're trying to learn to be less self-absorbed (and i'm not saying that as an insult so much as an accurate description of their default thought patterns) but it IS a learning curve. for all their self-reflection, i would describe them as a very reactive person, which is also probably why they (along with jeremy 1.0 and keanu squip) constantly struggle/d with needing a sense of control

im aware that despite christine's in-character criticism of the narrative i wrote 🙃 that she's here for exposition and emotional closure. she knows and she's not happy about it. it's a consequence of writing the story i wanted to tell but that doesn't make it immune from criticism. it's a good question for me, that the story i wanted to tell DID involve removing her agency so much. but i don't see that as a question that needs a direct answer or for me to defend so much as something to reflect on after it's over. in the meantime christine ma'am i'll give you something good in the epilogue i prommy, and i'll add something about this to my notes now that i think about it.

Aight, I have a wild FNAF Theory about Security Breach. RUIN DLC Spoilers ahead!

Yknow how we don't know the Crying Child's name? The one who got his head bit off by Fredbear? And how his ghost shares Golden Freddy/Fredbear with Cassidy?

Well, with the new DLC, we're introduced to Cassie, a friend of Gregory's.

I think it's a bit sus that a game, mainly about Freddy trying to help a child escape death and thus is considered the "golden star", has two children in it, who are close. Two children, who are both obsessed with the Freddy's franchise.

Two children, one of who's name is very similar to another named character in the series.

In the same series where we theorized Michael Afton and Mike Schmidt were the same person, and somehow it was true.

I think Cassie and Cassidy are the same. It would make sense as why, when she puts on the VANNI mask, she can hear what Gregory heard during Security Breach.

Cassidy was always vengeful, and most likely realized, like Charlette, that Michael wasn't William and went after him, dragging the Crying Child with her. I think it was confirmed that Freddy has parts from the other versions in him, which would make sense if you consider this:

Gregory wasn't real.

He was the ghost of the Crying Child that the animatronics (and Vanessa, given the VR game) could see due to the old parts (Roxy getting some of the Foxys and Monty getting Bonnie's after they found him scrapped). It explains why he's so tiny, but also why he can easily go into Freddy's holding area without much issue.

Cassidy was busy trying to find William, and once she realized CC/Gregory was in danger, she tried to go after him.

This theory is a mess, but if we try to detangle it, it does clue in on a lot of details:

Cassidy and Roxy never met!

They didn't, but as stated above, if, like Freddy, they used parts from the older animatronics, Roxy was probably Foxy! We have no idea who Cassidy's favorite animatronic was, so going on a limb and saying Freddy first, Foxy second wouldn't be a stretch. Since Foxy is now Roxy, it again makes sense that since Freddy is largely seen as a traitor to the other animatronics and out of the picture, Roxy is now the favorite.

Gregory betrays Cassie in the end!

Yes, he does. With this theory, it's CC lashing out, taking over Fredbear and leaving her alone to the hunt for William. CC is tired, and with the Mimic, he knows if it gets out, she'll keep them there until the world ends. So, he chooses peace, and disappears. To Cassidy, who shared a suit with him, it would no doubt feel like the elevator had given out. He had just betrayed her in the worst way possible to a dead 7 year old.

I probably have more to add but for now, I'm at, like, a 95% on believing this theory.
