You and Bucky gaze down at yours and his newborn baby girl Evie with a look of adoration on your faces. She was born a few hours ago. You and Bucky are completely astonished by her. A nurse comes in the room to check on you guys to see how you, Bucky, and your newborn baby girl are doing, accidentally interrupting the cute moment.
“I’m sorry to break up the cute moment.” The nurse apologizes with a smile. “I just wanted to see how you three are doing.” She says.
“We’re doing amazing.” You say, not taking your eyes off of your daughter.
“You know…” She starts. “Skin to skin contact is really good for newborns.” She recommends.
“What’s that?” Bucky asks.
“It’s simple. You hold your baby against your skin so she can get to know you better.” She explains. “Take your shirt off and I’ll put her on your chest.” She says.
Bucky hesitantly took off his shirt, worried that the nurse would say something about his scars and vibranium arm, but she didn’t. The nurse gently took Evie from your arms and carefully placed her on Bucky’s bare chest. He protectively wrapped his arms around Evie.
“Hi, sweet girl.” Bucky’s voice is soft as he’s talking to his daughter. “I’m your daddy.” He tells her.
“You’re doing such an amazing job, babe.” You say with a smile.
Bucky smiles widely at your praise. Evie made a small cooing noise that made yours and Bucky’s hearts melt with joy. In that moment, Bucky knew he has a new responsibility in his life.
A couple days later, you were released from the hospital and you and Bucky were able to take your baby girl home. You two got settled in with Evie. You were sitting on the couch doing skin to skin with Evie after feeding her. You gently rubbed her back and gave her kisses.
“There’s my girls.” Bucky smiles, walking in the living room and sat down on the couch next to you. “What’re you doing?” He asks.
“I just fed her and now we’re doing skin to skin.” You tell him and kissed the top of Evie’s semi bald head. “You want skin to skin time with her?” You asked.
“I don’t want to ruin your mother daughter moment.” He says.
“It’s ok.” You smile. “I need to take a shower. I smell like a hospital.” You say.
“Are you sure?” He asks.
“I’m sure.” You said. “You’re not going to hurt her, Bucky.” You assured him. “You’re her daddy.” You say.
Bucky smiles at your words. He leaned forward to take off his t-shirt and leaned back on the couch. You carefully moved Evie from your chest to Bucky’s chest. Just like at the hospital, Bucky protectively wrapped his arms around her.
“Mama will be right back.” You whispered to Evie and kissed her chubby cheek.
You stood up from the couch and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Meanwhile, Bucky feels a new warmth in his heart while holding his daughter. This is the second time he’s felt that warmth. The first time was when he met you and knew you’re the one for him.
“You know…” Bucky looks at his baby girl. “You have your mommy’s beauty.” He tells her. “You’re just too cute for your own good, aren’t you, sweetheart?” He coos at her.
Evie yawned before looking up at her daddy with her beautiful blue eyes. Bucky smiles at her.
“You have my eyes.” He tells her.
Evie made a cooing noise as Bucky continued to talk to her. As he was talking to her, her small hand was placed on his Army dog tags.
“Do you want to know where I got those, baby girl?” Bucky asks her. “I got them in the Army years ago. Uncle Steve has the same ones with his name on it.” He tells her. “Uncle Steve is your godfather and he’s going to be your favorite uncle. Even though, uncle Sam thinks he has that spot claimed.” He says.
As Bucky continues to talk to Evie, you stopped in the entrance of the living room and leaned against the wall, listening to Bucky talk to yours and his baby girl.
“I’m going to do everything I can to protect you and your mommy.” Bucky tells her. “Your mommy is the love of my life and you’re the light of my life.” He continues. “I learned how to be happy again when I met your mommy.” He says.
His words made your eyes tear up. You walked in the living room and sat down on the couch next to your husband and daughter, giving them a kiss on their cheeks.
“There’s mama.” He coos.
You smile and lay your head against Bucky’s shoulder.
“Me and Evie were having a conversation while you were in the shower.” Bucky says.
“I heard the end of it.” You smile. “You vowing to protect us is really sweet of you.” You say.
“I mean every word of it, doll.” Bucky states. “I don’t want anything in this world to hurt you and our precious little girl.” He says.
You couldn’t help but smile at his words. You lifted your head and leaned up, kissing Bucky’s lips sweetly.
“I also heard you say that Steve is going to be her favorite uncle.” You say.
“He is.” He says, smiling widely.
“Wait until Sam hears you say that.” You say with a giggle.
“Evie will be the judge of that. Right, sweetie?” He says, looking at his baby girl.
Evie made a cooing noise at the two of you, making you two smile at her cuteness.
“You’re just as cute as our daughter.” You tell him, kissing his stubbly cheek.
“And she has your beauty.” He tells you.
You smile at your husband and kiss him sweetly again.
“I love you so much, doll.” Bucky says in almost a whisper.
“I love you more, Buck.” You say softly.
“We love you as well, baby girl.” You and Bucky say softly in unison and gave her soft kisses.

Tumblr media
Valentine’s Day was off the table this year, and so was everything you had planned for you and your boyfriend.
You were disappointed when he shared the news with you, but you couldn’t be mad at him, not when it wasn’t his fault.
He saw the disappointment in your face, and how much you were trying to hide it by just smiling and nodding, your head finding a spot on his shoulder to avoid eye contact. He appreciated you understanding the situation, like you always did, but that didn’t mean he didn’t feel guilty.
“I know we had plans-”
“Lan, don’t worry about it” You took a deep breath before looking at him again, trying to get rid of the sadness in your face “I mean it, we can do that some other time”
He was about to say something but a quick kiss on the lips stopped him. You proceeded to look at him, offering him a small smile and a glance that he knew meant ‘I don’t wanna talk about it’, so just nodded as he smiled back.
A few weeks go by and his winter break was coming to an end, meaning soon he’d have to leave the comfort of your shared home and go get started with his preseason duties. That’s something you were used to, having to see him leave for long periods of times but it barely ever affected your relationship. He always made sure he made enough time for you, even when the time difference was huge and he was feeling tired most of the time, he needed to make time for you. Your love for each other was so strong that, at the end of the day, you were just relieved you still had each other even if all you had was a five minute call every day.
But still, sometimes it was hard to see him go, and this time was one of those times.
The night you knew would be your last one with him before he left he decided to take you out on a date. Fancy clothes and an even fancier restaurant were your plans for the evening, and you knew he was trying to make up for Valentine's Day. It wasn’t the same, of course it wasn’t, but you still enjoyed every second of it.
The food, the small talk, the jokes, the stupid stories, the shy glances, the small touches, everything was perfect, almost making you forget he was getting on a plane in a matter of hours, but your smile slowly faded as soon as you remembered.
The ride back home was quieter than he would’ve liked, but he knew exactly what was going through your mind, and honestly he couldn’t blame you cause his mind was flooded with the same thoughts.
As soon as you got home he ran around the car and opened the door for you, offering his hand and kissing yours as soon as he took it. You smiled softly at him and you made your way to the door. Once you were inside, you dropped his hand to take off your shoes and tossed them somewhere close to the door, sighing in relief as you started walking towards your room.
“Mhm, come back here” He whispered as he grabbed your hand and pulled you back into him
“There you are” Lando smiled softly at you as his lips found yours. After a moment he broke the kiss, and both of his hands found a better spot on your waist as he started to move along the off-tune song he started to hum. You couldn’t contain your smile, quickly trying to keep up with him. You moved together in a slow dance, it was like your bodies were in perfect harmony.
Lando was looking down at you in pure admiration, almost as if he was trying to memorize every centimeter of your face so he wouldn't forget it while he was away, but you didn’t dare to look up, scared you would make eye contact with Lando and you wouldn’t be able to take it, so you safe option was to rest your head on his chest and pray you didn’t mess up. Although it wouldn’t matter if you did, you were just in the comfort of your living room anyway. But you didn’t wanna mess up.
He eventually stopped humming, hoping the silence would encourage you to look at him, but when you didn’t he moved one of his hands to cup your check, making you look at him. For a moment your eyes lock, making the silence feel very loud and Lando couldn’t help but smile at you, and you immediately blushed, but tried to play it off.
“You’re a terrible dancer” He laughed and you narrowed your eyes playfully and softly hit his shoulder.
“You’re one to talk” You joked, locking your fingers behind his neck and giggling when Lando scoffed.
“Maybe we should go out to dance and I could show you all of my moves” He started to move again, bringing you closer to him.
“I thought you didn’t like slow dancing”
“I do if I get to hold you this close to me” He replied, once again finding your lips.
This time the kiss was longer, both of them savoring each other’s lips while they still had the chance “I’m sorry about Valentine’s” He whispered once he pulled away, your forehead resting on his.
You giggled at this. You had assured him a million times he didn’t have to worry about that, and he still apologized every time he remembered “You need to stop apologizing”
“But I am sorry”
“I know, but it’s not your fault” You hand fell on his hair, slowly stroking his soft curls “And I had a great time tonight, so I’d say love is not dead”
He laughed at his, dimples appearing as his eyes vanish for a moment “I still wanna make it up to you”
“You will” You replied as your head fell back on his chest “But for now I just wanna enjoy this” You closed your eyes and inhaled his scent, and after a moment of complete silence you can feel him start moving again, his soft hums interrupting the peace his heartbeat was giving you.

Ice skating! - how ice skating goes with the jjk men
Tumblr media
Gojo satoru
The crisp winter air nipped at your nose as you laced up your skates on the bench by the rink. Gojo was already on the ice, gliding effortlessly, his white hair catching the light and his signature blue blindfold wrapped snugly around his eyes. You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at the attention he was drawing from passersby.
“Are you going to stand there admiring me all day, or are you coming?” he teased, his voice carrying over the soft music and chatter around the rink.
“I’m not admiring you!” you retorted, standing up and wobbling slightly on your skates.
Gojo was at your side in an instant, his gloved hands steadying you with ease. “Sure you aren’t,” he smirked, pulling you gently onto the ice.
You weren’t the most graceful skater, but Gojo made sure to keep a firm grip on your hands, his laughter echoing each time you stumbled. He glided backward with ease, as if showing off his skills, all while ensuring you didn’t fall.
“See? You’re getting the hang of it,” he said after a few minutes, his tone light and encouraging.
You narrowed your eyes. “I think you’re just distracting me so I won’t notice how much you’re showing off.”
His grin widened. “Caught me. But admit it—you like the view.”
Rolling your eyes, you gave him a playful shove, though it barely moved him. He retaliated by spinning you in a circle, his hold on you firm as you shrieked.
Eventually, you both ended up at the center of the rink, the world around you fading into a blur of lights and laughter. Gojo lifted his blindfold just enough for you to catch a glimpse of his vibrant blue eyes, now crinkled with warmth as he looked at you.
“Not bad for a first-timer,” he said, leaning in slightly.
“Thanks to my show-off teacher,” you replied with a grin.
“Always happy to be of service.” He pressed a quick kiss to your forehead before pulling you into another spin, his laughter mingling with yours as the night stretched on.
Geto suguru
The first flakes of snow began to fall as you tightened your scarf around your neck, glancing over at Suguru, who stood beside you, exuding a quiet calmness that always seemed to put you at ease. His long black hair was tied back, and his sharp features softened as he smiled at you.
“Ready?” he asked, holding out a hand as you both approached the ice rink.
“Not really,” you admitted with a nervous laugh, eyeing the skaters gliding around. “I’m not great at this.”
Suguru chuckled, his warm breath visible in the cold air. “Don’t worry. I’ll keep you steady.”
You took his hand and let him guide you onto the ice. His grip was firm and reassuring as you wobbled, gripping his arm for dear life.
“See? Not so bad,” he said, his voice low and comforting. He moved slowly, matching your hesitant pace.
“Easy for you to say,” you muttered, glancing at how effortlessly he moved across the ice, even while staying close to you.
Suguru leaned in, his dark eyes sparkling with mischief. “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you just wanted an excuse to hold onto me.”
You shot him a playful glare. “As if you’re not enjoying being my personal crutch.”
He smirked, wrapping an arm around your waist to steady you even more. “Guilty. But I’ll take care of you—always.”
As you grew more confident, Suguru led you to the center of the rink, where the crowd thinned. The two of you glided side by side, your laughter mixing with the soft hum of holiday music.
When your legs started to tire, Suguru suggested a break. You sat together on a bench by the rink, your gloved hands holding warm cups of hot chocolate. He reached over to brush a snowflake from your hair, his touch gentle.
“See? You survived,” he teased, his smile warm.
“Thanks to you,” you admitted, leaning against his shoulder.
Suguru pressed a kiss to the top of your head, his voice a soft murmur. “Anytime, love. As long as it’s with you, I’ll go anywhere—even an ice rink.”
Nanami Kento
The winter chill brushed against your cheeks as you adjusted your scarf, watching Nanami lace up his skates with precision. His beige coat and signature tie stood out against the soft, snowy backdrop, and you couldn’t help but smile at how out of place he looked at the bustling, cheerful ice rink.
“You’re sure about this?” he asked, glancing up at you with a slightly skeptical look. “You know I’m not one for… recreational chaos.”
You laughed, tugging on his arm. “It’s not chaos. It’s fun! Come on, Kento, you need a break from all your seriousness.”
With a resigned sigh, he allowed you to pull him toward the ice. The moment his skates hit the surface, he wobbled slightly, his usually impeccable composure cracking for a split second. You bit back a giggle as you held his hand.
“Don’t say a word,” he muttered, his voice calm but tinged with embarrassment.
“I didn’t say anything!” you teased, leading him forward slowly.
Despite his initial hesitance, Nanami quickly found his balance. His hand stayed firmly in yours, his grip protective as he made sure you didn’t stumble. He moved with surprising ease, his natural elegance shining through even on the ice.
“Are you sure you haven’t done this before?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
He adjusted his glasses, a small smirk playing on his lips. “I may have gone once or twice. But only because someone convinced me it was good for bonding.”
“And was it?”
He glanced at you, his expression softening. “It is now.”
Your heart fluttered at his words, and you tightened your hold on his hand. As the two of you glided across the rink, the festive lights reflected in his warm brown eyes, making him seem even more breathtaking than usual.
When you stumbled, his arm immediately circled your waist, steadying you. “Careful,” he said, his voice low but full of concern.
You looked up at him, your cheeks flushed. “Thanks, Kento. You’re pretty good at this whole ‘not letting me fall’ thing.”
“I try,” he replied, his lips twitching into a rare, genuine smile.
After a while, you both retired to a nearby bench, sipping hot drinks as snow continued to fall around you. Nanami draped his scarf over your shoulders, ensuring you stayed warm.
“Thank you for convincing me to come,” he said, his tone softer now. “I don’t always allow myself to enjoy moments like this, but… I’m glad I did. With you.”
You leaned into him, your heart swelling with affection. “You deserve moments like this, Kento. And I’ll make sure you have them.”
His hand found yours, giving it a gentle squeeze as the two of you sat there, basking in the quiet magic of the winter evening.
Toji fushiguro
The rink was alive with the sound of laughter and the glimmer of lights reflecting off the ice. Snowflakes fell softly, clinging to your coat as you adjusted your child’s scarf. Megumi stood between you and Toji, his small hands stuffed into his coat pockets, eyes scanning the rink with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
Megumi pouted, glancing at the skates in Toji’s hands. “I’ll be fine.”
“You sure about this, squirt?” Toji asked, crouching down to Megumi’s level.
You chuckled, kneeling beside them. “He’s determined. Just like his dad.”
Toji smirked at your comment but shook his head. “Alright, tough guy. Let’s get you laced up.” He reached out to help Megumi, his large hands surprisingly gentle as he tied the skates securely.
Once everyone was ready, you made your way onto the ice. Toji, of course, stepped on effortlessly, moving with the confidence of someone who could master anything he tried. You wobbled slightly, but his hand was there in an instant, steadying you.
“Easy, sweetheart,” he said, smirking. “Don’t want you taking me down with you.”
You playfully rolled your eyes. “Just focus on not showing off too much.”
Meanwhile, Megumi stood at the edge of the rink, gripping the railing with wide eyes. His little feet shuffled, but he wasn’t quite ready to move.
“Megumi, come on!” you called, extending your hand.
Toji skated over and crouched in front of him. “What’s wrong? Afraid you’ll fall?”
Megumi frowned, his cheeks pink with embarrassment. “No… I just don’t want to look dumb.”
Toji chuckled, ruffling his hair. “Kid, no one cares what you look like. Besides…” He held out his hand. “You’ve got me and your mom. We won’t let you fall.”
Hesitant but trusting, Megumi grabbed Toji’s hand, and the three of you made your way onto the ice together.
Megumi clung tightly to both of you at first, his little legs trembling as he slid awkwardly over the surface. Toji encouraged him with gruff but kind words, while you cheered him on with every step he managed to take.
“You’re doing great, Megumi!” you said, smiling brightly.
“I’m not even skating,” he muttered, but there was a small smile tugging at his lips.
“Baby steps,” Toji said with a smirk, glancing down at his son. “You’ll be zipping around in no time.”
After a while, Megumi started to loosen up, his movements more confident. Toji even let go of his hand for a moment, skating backward to give him space. “Look at that! Told you you’d get it,” Toji said, his voice full of pride.
Megumi wobbled but managed to stay upright, his face lighting up with a rare smile. “I’m doing it!”
You laughed, clapping your hands. “See? You’re a natural!”
The rest of the evening was filled with laughter and playful moments. Toji even surprised you by spinning you around on the ice, holding you close as you squealed. “Show-off,” you teased, but your heart swelled at how effortlessly he balanced being both playful and protective.
By the time you all left the rink, Megumi was bundled up and walking between the two of you, holding your hands. He was exhausted but happy, leaning his head against Toji’s side.
“You were right,” Megumi mumbled sleepily. “It wasn’t so bad.”
Toji chuckled, lifting him up into his arms. “Told you, kid. Your old man knows a thing or two.”
You smiled, resting your head on Toji’s shoulder as you walked back to the car, the three of you wrapped in the warmth of family and the magic of a winter evening.
Sukuna Ryomen
Sukuna’s estate was eerily quiet as he lounged on his throne, the flickering light of torches casting shadows on the walls. He hadn’t seen you in hours, and though he didn’t show it, the absence of your usual presence was unsettling.
“Uraume,” he called, his deep voice reverberating through the hall.
Uraume appeared quickly, bowing their head. “Yes, my lord?”
“Where is she?” Sukuna’s tone was calm, but there was a sharpness in his gaze that brooked no excuses.
“I believe she went outside, my lord,” Uraume replied, hesitating slightly. “By the frozen pond.”
Sukuna’s crimson eyes narrowed, and without another word, he rose from his seat, his towering form exuding authority as he made his way outside.
The cold winter air bit at his skin, but he barely noticed. His four eyes scanned the snow-covered grounds, his sharp senses quickly honing in on laughter—your laughter.
His lips curled into a smirk as he approached the pond, the sight before him catching him off guard. You were slipping and sliding across the ice, your movements clumsy but full of joy. Uraume stood at the edge, their usually stoic face softened with faint amusement as they watched you.
“Careful!” Uraume called when you nearly lost your footing, but you laughed it off, waving a hand.
“I’m fine! See? I can do this!” you replied, taking another step—only to slip and land on your back with a soft thud.
“Enjoying yourself, little one?” he drawled, his crimson eyes gleaming with amusement.
Sukuna’s deep chuckle rumbled through the air, causing both you and Uraume to freeze. You turned your head, finding him standing at the edge of the pond, his arms crossed and a smug grin on his face.
Your cheeks flushed as you scrambled to sit up. “I… was just testing the ice,” you muttered, brushing snow off your clothes.
“Testing it, were you?” Sukuna stepped onto the ice effortlessly, his movements unnervingly graceful for someone his size. The ice groaned slightly under his weight, but it held firm as he strode toward you.
You blinked up at him, pouting. “You don’t have to make fun of me, you know.”
He crouched down in front of you, his sharp claws brushing a stray strand of hair from your face. “I’m not making fun,” he said, though the smirk on his lips betrayed him. “But I don’t recall giving you permission to wander off.”
“I didn’t think you’d notice,” you admitted softly, glancing away.
His smirk faded slightly, replaced by a look of quiet intensity. “I always notice,” he said, his tone low but firm.
Before you could respond, Sukuna stood and held out a hand to you. “Come. If you insist on playing out here, at least let me make sure you don’t break your neck.”
You hesitated for a moment before taking his hand. He pulled you to your feet with ease, his grip steady as you wobbled on the ice.
“You’re actually helping?” you teased, raising an eyebrow.
“Don’t get used to it,” he replied, though his smirk had returned.
Uraume watched silently, a faint smile tugging at their lips as Sukuna guided you across the ice, his usually commanding demeanor softened by your presence. For a moment, the cold winter night didn’t feel so harsh, the warmth of his rare affection wrapping around you like a blanket.
Megumi Fushiguro
The chill of the winter air was invigorating as you tugged on your skates, sitting on a bench by the ice rink. The twinkling lights strung overhead made everything feel magical, but what had you smiling the most was the sight of Megumi hesitantly tying his skates beside you.
“You look nervous,” you teased, nudging him gently.
“I’m not nervous,” he muttered, though his furrowed brow and the way he was double-checking the laces on his skates said otherwise.
Once he finished, you stood and held out your hand. “Come on, it’ll be fun!”
He looked up at you, his dark eyes full of doubt. “You know I’m not good at this.”
“That’s the point! You’ll have me to help you,” you replied with a grin, giving his hand a little tug.
With a resigned sigh, Megumi let you pull him onto the ice. The moment his skates touched the surface, his legs wobbled precariously, and he gripped your arm like his life depended on it.
“Why did I let you talk me into this?” he muttered, glaring at the ice as if it had personally wronged him.
“Because you love me,” you said cheekily, trying not to laugh as he stumbled again.
He huffed but didn’t argue, his cheeks turning slightly pink.
You moved slowly, holding his hands as you guided him across the ice. Every few steps, he would slip or falter, but you were always there to catch him.
“Megumi, you’re so stiff,” you said after a while, laughing. “Relax a little!”
“If I relax, I’ll fall,” he grumbled, his shoulders hunched as he concentrated on staying upright.
“You’re going to fall if you keep overthinking it!”
As if to prove your point, his skate caught on a groove in the ice, and he stumbled forward. You tried to catch him, but his weight sent both of you toppling over, landing in a heap on the ice.
For a moment, there was silence, and then you burst into laughter. “See? Not so bad!”
Megumi groaned, propping himself up on his elbows. “Speak for yourself,” he muttered, though the corner of his mouth twitched upward despite himself.
You reached out and booped his nose. “You’re doing great, Megumi. Really. I mean, you’ve only fallen once!”
“That’s once too many,” he said, rolling his eyes but letting you help him back up.
As the night went on, he started to loosen up a bit, though his movements were still far from graceful. You skated circles around him, giggling as he grumbled about how unfair it was.
“Stop showing off,” he said, though there was no real bite in his tone.
“Come on, you’re getting better!” you said, skating back to him and holding out your hands. “Trust me.”
He hesitated for a moment before taking your hands. His grip was firm, but he let you pull him forward, his balance improving little by little.
By the end of the night, he was still far from a pro, but he managed to skate a few feet without holding onto you. “See? You’re a natural,” you said, beaming at him.
He gave you a skeptical look but didn’t deny it, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “Maybe. But I think I’ll stick to solid ground next time.”
You laughed, leaning into his side as you both sat down to take off your skates. “Fair enough. But admit it—you had fun.”
He glanced at you, his eyes softening. “Yeah… I guess I did.”
Yuji Itadori
The winter air was crisp as you arrived at the rink with Yuji, his excitement practically radiating off him. He’d been talking about this all week, hyping up his “hidden skating talent,” though you had your doubts.
“I’ve got this,” Yuji said confidently as he tugged on his skates. His grin was infectious, and you couldn’t help but laugh at how determined he looked.
“You sure? You don’t even know if you’re good at skating,” you teased, lacing up your own skates.
“I’m good at pretty much everything!” he replied, puffing out his chest dramatically.
You rolled your eyes but smiled. “Alright, Mr. Natural Talent. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
The moment Yuji stepped onto the ice, his confidence wavered. His arms flailed as his skates slid in opposite directions, and you had to grab his arm to keep him from falling.
“Hidden talent, huh?” you said, grinning as you steadied him.
“It’s just… slippery!” he defended, his cheeks pink with embarrassment. “Give me a second!”
Yuji held onto the railing with a death grip as you skated beside him, your laughter filling the air. “You’re so bad at this!” you teased, watching as he carefully tried to push off with his skates, only to nearly fall again.
“I’m just warming up!” he insisted, though his wobbly movements said otherwise.
After a while, you decided to help him out, skating backward in front of him and holding his hands. “Okay, let’s try this. I’ll guide you.”
He looked at your hands, then back at you, his expression softening. “You sure? I don’t wanna crush you if I fall.”
You smiled. “I’ve got you, Yuji. Trust me.”
With your help, he started to find his balance. His grin returned as he managed a few steps without slipping. “Hey, look! I’m doing it!”
“You are!” you cheered, matching his pace. “See? You’re not hopeless after all.”
“Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence,” he said, laughing.
As the night went on, Yuji got more comfortable, though he was still far from graceful. He occasionally tried to show off, attempting a spin or a quick glide, but it always ended with him flailing or falling. You couldn’t stop laughing, especially when he’d pop back up with an exaggerated “I’m fine!”
At one point, he slipped and accidentally pulled you down with him. You both landed in a heap on the ice, laughter spilling out as you tried to untangle yourselves.
“This is not how I imagined skating would go,” he admitted, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
“But it’s fun, right?” you said, leaning against him as you caught your breath.
He looked at you, his cheeks pink but not from the cold. “Yeah. It’s perfect,” he said softly, his usual playful tone replaced with something more sincere.
You smiled, leaning closer. “Even if you’re terrible at it?”
He chuckled, bumping his forehead gently against yours. “Especially because I’m terrible at it. Gives me an excuse to stick close to you.”
By the end of the night, neither of you had mastered skating, but it didn’t matter. You left the rink hand in hand, the cold winter air feeling a little warmer with him by your side.

After being there for a while, lost in his thoughts, he felt an arm around him. He didn't have to look back to know who it was.
“I was looking for you baby. Why did you leave like that? I mean I wasn't expecting it but I- ” Jungkook interrupted her
“I saw Y/n just a few minutes ago. She told me to tell you she had someone waiting for her outside and she was leaving. Did you two come with anyone else?”
“Y/n left? She didn’t say anything else? No, we came alone but got apart after. Maybe she followed our steps and decided to get some action for the night. I was starting to worry for her, I mean who doesn’t want to get laid once in a while?”
Jungkook looked at Sewoon with discuss and took her arm off of him, paid for what he consumed and started to leave without saying anything else. Sewoon grabbed his hand but he quickly took it out. She looked so confused he started to laugh
“Sewoon I- did you hear yourself back there? What does it matter if she gets laid or not? Why is that even on your mind? Aren't you worried about her? She left alone with someone neither you and I know. Are you-”
“Why do you care so much Jungkook. Seriously, she’s an adult. If she left with someone was because she felt safe with that person. I’m sure she isn't thinking about you or me right now.” she approached him more and touched his buff chest “why don’t we do the same, hm. Let's leave, enjoy our night together. I missed you and I know you missed me too, let's -”
“I’m not in the mood Sewoon. Honestly i just want to go home. This been a hell of a night and one to forget. Are you staying or want me to drop you off somewhere?” Sewoon’s face changed drastically. From a sweet and seductive expression to one Jungkook wasn't familiar with. He wasn't about to put up with it, so he said his goodbye and left on his motorcycle.
-----------
Meanwhile Y/n, after that little fight with Jungkook finally found Lisa resting near a wall outside of the club. “I was wondering if I had to go get you” “sorry this guy messed with me and then Jungkook stepped in and it was a whole mess and -”
“Wait wait, Jungkook? A male name you say?” she teased Y/n while she sighed “yeah like I said long story.” They started walking until they reached Lisa's car and got in, when she asked “do you wanna go to mine? Drink some wine, eat a lot of crappy food while you tell me all about this jungkook and what Sewoon has to do with it.” Lisa didn’t have to wait for Y/n’s answer since her big smile said enough. When they got to her apartment, Y/n’s mouth dropped to the floor. It was such a big and nice apartment, so cozy and simple while hers was so small she could barely move, but was the only thing she could pay for.
Lisa went to grab two glasses and some rosé wine and ordered some Mcdonalds, then they sat on her comfortable white couch and y/n started to explain her situation.
“It happened one day during winter. I had just started working at the coffee shop. It was very rainy and windy so it was almost empty, just two or three clients max. Sana, my work collegue, was on her break and I was organizing the cupcake counter when I saw this beatiful young guy walk in. I froze. I literally panicked Lisa, you have no idea. He was so gorgeous and I was full of flour on my clothes and face and I was alone at the time so i did what I do best, embarass myself” Talking about this Y/n could feel it like it was yesterday and smiled so lightly and genuinely. When was the last time this happened, she thought.
“Please tell me you didn’t say any jokes involving flour and cupcakes” Y/n gave her a tiny slap in the arm and laughed. "Pff who do you think I am? No I didn't do that, I did worse. literally hid myself under the balcony right in front of him, stayed there for a minute until he made a noise with his throat and asked me if I lost something and needed help finding it”
Right there Lisa couldn’t control her laughter, placing her glass on the nearest table only to fall on the ground dying of laughter. Once it ceased she grabbed the glass of wine again, taking a few sips “you are unbelieveable Y/n. Thank you for making me laugh so much today. That happens when you revolve your life around others you know? But please continue don't let me stop you. I like where this is going” she mocked again.
Y/n rolled her eyes. Never has she been more embarassed in her life. “You’re supposed to make me feel better” she mumbled. “Well... After that, I got up so quickly that I almost fell. I apologized and said I dropped my earring and was looking for it. The best part? I don’t even have holes in my ears. But he didn’t say anything about it, pretty sure he noticed I was a nervous mess and dropped it before I could make it any worse. He gave me a big smile so I smiled back, asked him what his order was and then -" Suddenly you were interrupted by a knock on the door. Lisa got up and went to see if it was your order, got back inside with it and after settling everything on the table you started to eat. Never a meal tasted so good.
-----
A few minutes later Lisa speaks again “back to our convo, what happened? After you took his order”. Y/n sighed “you love to know everything don’t you?” she laughed “he asked for a cupcake and hot chocolate. He was always very kind even when I was being so weird you know? But he got me so nervous I didn’t want to have any more interaction with him so I tried to stall until Sana finished her break but she was taking so long and I noticed him taking some glances over, so I knew it had to be me. As I reached his table I tripped, leading me to drop the hot chocolate on him--- Gosh I shouldn't be telling you this. You’re gonna tease me for the rest of my life”
“No wonder the dude got so hooked on you after. You did quite an introduction” Lisa said cleaning the tears coming out her eyes from laughing. “Poor guy just wanted a cupcake and ended up getting a burn”
“Don't even remind me. I thought it was it. I just burned a client and made a mess, I was sure I was gonna be fired. But Jungkook remained so calm, told me he was okay. I helped him and didn’t stop apologizing to him, told him I was new in there but that was no excuse so if he wanted to talk to the manager I'd understand and offered to pay any sort of damage. You know what he did? Turns to me and says I’m cute. I burned him and he called me cute. I lost it”
“He seems like an amazing guy Y/n. I figure ever since that day he went back to the coffee shop ?” Lisa spoke softly
“He did. After that incident I tried to avoid him so bad but he would always ask for me to Sana, leaving me with no other choice. We ended up getting close and I developed a huge crush on him that everyone knew about but him” Y/n gaze turns sad remembering the day Jungkook and Sewoon met.
"So how did he meet Sewoon?” Lisa asked curious. “At the coffee shop. She passed by to tell me that she got in the agency she wanted and then Jungkook walked in. She knew about him and asked if that was the one I’ve been talking about. Then I went to see what he wanted to get and he asked me about my friend so I introduced them. Didn’t expect them to turn out a couple. Not like that . I think I was hoping that Sewoon would refuse, knowing that I had a crush on him and that we were quite close.”
“So she knew and still went for him? That little bitch. I knew she wasn't as good as she seemed” Lisa said irritated. “She asked me. One night she appeared in my house and asked me if I still liked him. I was the one who told her to go for it.” Y/n said with tears already forming in her eyes. Lisa approached her and gave her the longest hug, patting her back. “still Y/n, that’s very low of her. It’s girls code. Did you ever told her no?” Your silence was the answer she needed. “God Y/n I’m trying so hard not to diss you right now. When are you gonna put yourself first? When are you gonna stop behaving like someone else's puppet? Be honest with me, do you like your life?”
That rang a bell in Y/n’s ears. No she didn’t. She wanted to visit places, have fun, be herself, leave that place she called home and stop working in the coffee shop just to focus on her dreams. She was about to answer but Lisa got ahead of her. “You know what? Take some days off. Let’s have a girls trip you and me. I’m bored here and you need a way out of this whole mess. It’s time for you to find yourself Y/n.” “I don’t have any money for that Lisa. It’s hard for me to pay the rent let alone go on a trip”
“Move in with me. It’s just me in here and as you see, this house is huge. And no one told you anything about paying. Pretty sure you don’t remember but my dad works in an airplane company. Think about it.” Lisa exclaimed super enthusiastic
Before Y/n could answer, her phone started to ring. She looked over “Jungkookie”
“Are you gonna pick up?”
“No. No I’m not. You're right Lisa I have to start doing things for me. Put myself first" she looked over the window "About your idea, I’m in. Book us a flight. Tomorrow morning I’ll talk to the my manager. I never took days of so it won't be a problem. Let's do it”
" I knew you were gonna say yes. Get ready because this trip is gonna be life changer" Lisa said making a toast with Y/n. Here comes a new opportunity. You wouldn't less this one miss.
Not anymore

Watch Your Step
Feysand x reader
A/n: happy day 2 and another Feysand fic! Comfort fics are some of my favorites especially for Rhys. Some of my favorite moments with him and Feyre are in ACOWAR and he’s just doting on her. @polyacotarweek
Warnings: descriptions on injuries and comfort
Tumblr media
“Nyx, slow down!” You yelled over the little boy's screeches and giggles as he ran through the upstairs hall. You held your dress above your calves, feet carrying you quickly.
You jumped toys littered across the carpet. Sighing mentally you make a note to have the boy clean up his toys. “Bet ya can’t catch me mom!” He giggled, disappearing around the corner. “No running on the stairs young man!” He giggled again as you heard the sound of winnowing. You came to a halt. The three of you knew Nyx’s powers were developing. He could finally hide his wings on command like Rhys. But winnowing was very new.
The first time he winnowed he had taken Rhys with him. Ending up outside the Winter Court palace wanting to see his friend, the Princess of Winter. To know he could winnow so far at such a young age was impressive but terrifying.
Your thoughts raced you began sprinting for the stairs. Praying to the Cauldron your little boy was only downstairs and not somewhere unknown.
Not keeping your eyes on the ground you completely missed the pair of toy swords in a small wagon on the first step. Your bare foot landed right on the center of the wooden toys, splintering them in half. Not even getting a chance to right yourself your other foot stays suspended in midair as the wagon moves across the stair.
Your ankle turns and you feel something pop. Falling down the stairs backwards you let out a scream. You try to grab hold of the banister to slow down, your fingers screaming in protest. You hit the curved landing hard. Rolling to a stop thanks to the wall.
Thanks to the pain numbing your body and ringing ears you didn’t hear Nyx scream for you. Or the multiple pairs of feet thundering to get to you as quickly as possible.
Groaning, you roll over onto your back, trying to keep your breathing steady. You keep your eyes screwed shut at the pain still coursing through your bones.
Nyx was now sitting next to you. A little hand on your face to comfort you. “Like mommy and daddy do for you,” he said once.
“I’m ok buddy, I’m ok.” You manage through gritted teeth. Opening your eyes you smile up at him. Panic on his little features. “See, mom’s ok. Just a little fall.”
Nesta and Azriel are first to arrive, Rhys and Feyre looking destressed right behind them. Nesta quickly gathers Nyx in her arms much to the boys dismay. He starts fidgeting wildly in his aunts arms fighting to get back to you.
Before he can be told to Az winnows away to get Madja. Rhys scoops you into his arms making his way to the bedroom quickly. Feyre prepares you a spot, fluffing your pillow as Rhys set you down gently.
“Questions later. I don’t want stress her out and add to her pain.” Rhys says into Feyre’s mind. He looks back at his mate to see silver lining her eyes. Her hand in yours, rubbing soothing circles with her thumb. “It’s ok angel, we’re here.” Feyre whispered softly. You squeezed her hand in response. The both of them could feel your pain through the bond and it was breaking their hearts.
Madja came bustling in as quickly as possible leaving Azriel to linger in the doorway. The old healer shoos your mates away, “I can’t work with you two breathing down my neck. Go with the Shadowsinger. I’ll come get you once she’s patched up.” Her tone leaves no room for argument. They’re hesitant to leave you but know it’s for the best.
An hour later Madja had left you with your ankle wrapped and strict bed rest orders which Feyre and Rhys took very seriously. For the next week your mates kept a close eye on you, not letting you move an inch.
“I still think you should keep your ankle elevated, my love.” Feyre sweetly chastises you a few days later. You roll your eyes as she puts the lunch tray down to fluff the throw pillow you abandoned a half hour ago.
“I’m fine, Fey. Besides, it’s practically healed.” She hummed, raising a brow at you, gently placing your foot on the pillow. “You want to tell Rhys that?” You sigh, dropping your head against the headboard.
Rhys has been worse than normal. Maybe because it was the worst at home injury any of you had sustained. He wouldn’t even let you sleep in the middle of the bed like usual. Rhys insisted you take his side while he slept in the middle so it would be easier to carry you out of bed.
Feyre placed the tray on your lap as she settled next to you, brushing a strand of hair behind your delicately pointed ear. “How are you feeling?” She asks softly.
“Better. The pain in my side is gone and my head is fine, the only problem is the pain in my ankle.” Feyre hums looking back at your bandaged ankle. You start to pick at your food when you notice a card under the plate. Picking it up you smile. Nyx had drawn you many get well soon cards over the last few days. “Good.”
In the middle of your meal and chat with Feyre, Rhys made his way into the bedroom taking the other spot next to you in bed. He takes your chin gently in his fingers, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. As if he was afraid of causing you more pain. “Hi angel, how are you feeling?” You smile against his lips, “Good.” He lets out a content hum leaning away from you.
As the week went on your mates let up on their hovering. When the bandage came off Rhys would massage your ankle every night, rubbing a special salve Madja gave you. While their overbearing nature at times can be aggravating, you wouldn’t have it any other way. You’d never stop being thankful to have mates and a family that cares so much about you.

steve harrington helps his nurse fiancee get ready for work when she's called in too early ☄. *. ⋆
wc: 1.3k
warnings/about: reader gets called in early for a bus crash, no description tho. fluff, breakfast is made, steve harrington my house husband <3 set in like 1989, sorry if there’s inaccuracies i wasn’t born yet lol
a/n: omg its finally winter break, and then I got sick, but it was christmasssss so I got a new laptop. i shall be a menace made of clicky keys
You wake up to the tinny ring of the phone by your and Steve’s bed. You barely have enough time to compute what’s going on, what time it is, before you have the pale green plastic pushed to the side of your face, your own fingers gripping the plastic loosely.
You squint at your alarm clock and make sure that you’re not late for work. Considering the fact that your shift wouldn’t start until 10:00 AM, and the short hand of your alarm clock is hovering around the 5. Unless Steve decided to dose you with a horse tranquilizer, you’re sure you’re being called in early.
“Hello?” You rasp out silently. You’ve learned that Steve sleeps like he’s been given horse tranquilizers. You’re sure that he’s slept through an earthquake before.
“Hello,” You hear a familiar voice drawl through the handset. “—is this Miss [L/N]?” Is it Amy or Priscilla? You’re too tired to compute that information, other than the fact that it’s a coworker.
“Yeah, Mhm.” You say a little more clearly as you prop yourself up on your elbow, your adjacent hip digging into the mattress beneath you.
“So, unfortunately, there was a bus crash right outside of town, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is just… completely out of whack. Would you be able to come in? We’re willing to pay you overtime for this.” The voice explains through the phone. You figure it’s Priscilla talking since she’s the chattier one.
You stare at the clock, your log of a fiancée, the ceiling, and then the window before sighing. “Yeah. Yeah, I can do that. I’ll be there within the hour or so.” You mumble into the handset with your head hung.
You know you’ll be abusing that staff room coffee machine the second you get there, so you don’t bother making your way into the kitchen once you get out of bed. You plunk the handset back onto the boxier part of the phone before stretching your body so hard that you have to sit back down on the edge of the bed.
A few deep breaths and some slower movements later, you’re starting the shower. You strip yourself of the nice pajama set Steve bought you for your most recent birthday before stepping under the shock of the water.
You go about your shower routine for the day, your tired hands grazing the lathered loofah all over your body until you deem yourself clean enough for work. You step out, dry off, and wrap yourself in your robe before venturing into the closet.
After putting on your starched whites, which Steve so dutifully washed for you, you’re in front of the mirror trying to make it look like you’re not running on an inadequate amount of sleep. It’s easier said than done, or so you’ve figured out. However, you feel lucky that your hospital has allowed you to switch from dresses and skirts to white, open-collared shirts and trousers.
While brushing your teeth, you watch the bathroom door behind you slowly creak open. By the time Steve shows his tired face in the gap, you’re already making dead eye contact with him in the mirror. You’ve been caught.
Steve’s too tired to be stern. Instead, he gets clingy. He lets out a yawn before covering your shoulders with his hands, and then pressing the front of his left hip to your right glute. You continue the movement of brushing your teeth and gums as he starts pressing lazy kisses to your neck.
“What’s with the getup?” He mumbles into your shoulder blade. The corners of your mouth turn up around your toothbrush before you spit out the white foam.
“They’ve called me in early.” You say matter-of-factly, to his dismay. He lets out a soft whine before returning to his posture to normal.
“You weren’t going to tell me?” He asks without any heat behind it. For this time of year and time of day, he’s either too soft or tired for it.
“I was..” You say around your toothbrush before finishing up, going to brush your tongue last. You spit out the last of the water and put your toothbrush back in its holder. “..just before I was going to leave.”
“Like your foot was going out the door?” He asks as he rubs the sleep from his eyes. Again, there’s no malice in his tone or anything. He wishes you woke him up, but that’s a hard enough feat on a weekend. Oftentimes he wants to rub your shoulders before you even think about moving.
“Probably.” You say with a brandish smile. You take out your compact and do something quick about the lack of life you have around your eyes. Ooh, shimmery.
You pin your hair out of your face and tie it up accordingly, then pin your hat on before turning to him with a soft, glossed smile. He doesn’t look as nearly as awake as you do, but, you feel the way he looks. You give him a kiss so that your lips match his, then smile even harder.
“You should have told them no,” He mumbles out as you leave the bathroom in search of your shoes. “you have a shift later today anyways, so like…” Steve says as he follows you.
“Yes, but there was a bus crash, and I’m getting paid overtime.” You explain gently as you tie your shoes. You feel your stomach gurgle and growl as you bend to do so, and Steve just can’t have that.
“Want me to make you something to eat before you leave?” He asks softly, his hand going to the small of your back as you finish the bow.
“Mm.. Something quick. I’m supposed to be there soon.” You say softly as you rub the back of your neck. You feel a kind hand on you, a wave of disappointment, and then hear the sounds of socked feet out of the bedroom, then down the hallway. You stifle a laugh when you hear a thud, and a soft “Ow” come from your significant other.
One more look over in the mirror later, you’re walking out of your bedroom. You have that awful feeling that you’re forgetting something before you spot your bag on the counter. You smile at Steve and the way he’s standing in front of the toaster like he’s the one that’s running late.
“Thank you, honey.” You say softly, mirroring his pose. You quit the getup soon enough and go to return some of his clinginess from this morning. Your lips leave behind a glossy ghost on his neck, but he doesn’t wipe it away.
He grumbles something in response to your words of gratitude, and you only smile wider. You consider sneaking him into work with you. Men can be nurses now, right? You ask yourself. You press a few more kisses to his cheek and neck for good measure before pulling away, still smiling.
In the dim kitchen light, you trace the shapes on his face with your eyes. The points of his nose, the angle of his jaw. You feel a pit well in your chest when you realize that you have to leave for work in just a few minutes. He’s so kind to you, that you start to feel guilty. You know that he probably wants you back in bed, even more than you do but… duty calls.
Sooner than later, he has a plate with peanut butter toast and a banana on the side. You eat it happily, but carefully (so as to not stain your uniform), and make sure that you don't have any stray crumbs on your face, or starched whites before you leave. You make light conversation, ask what the rest of his plans for the day are, and put your plate in the dishwasher.
You make sure that he knows you love him, and that you’ll stay safe. You try to call him once you get to work, but there’s no answer. You smile to yourself, knowing he’s asleep in some uncomfortable position on the couch. You carry on with your day and count the minutes until you get home. (540 and counting.)

Convincing Law to take a break for one day is like talking to a concrete wall. Good thing you have the personality of a jackhammer.
Law x Fem Reader
Warnings: fluff fluff and more fluff, snow day, domestic bliss, just fun and fluffy all around, snowball fights with the heart pirates, soft law <3
Also posted on AO3
Tumblr media
No one even bothered to ask Law if he wanted to join the crew on land and partake in some relaxing winter activities.  Everyone knew what the answer would be: a stern, pensive stare and a quick, firm, “Absolutely not.”  Especially not when the aforementioned winter weather sprung up completely out of nowhere, while the Polar Tang was moored at an unassuming island tucked away behind a seaside cliff.  It was warm and pleasant the day before, so waking up to a deep blanket of snow on land completely ruined Law’s plans.  Heart Pirate Rule #283 (estimates vary), no one could try to change Law’s mind about an activity when his prior commitments were already ruined.
When Law opened the heavy door to his office and stepped into the hallway, he was met with an unsurprising, deathly silence.  Through one of the small portholes in the hull of the submarine, he could spot a few of his crew engaged in a very intense snowball fight.  The captain’s piercing gold eyes locked onto Uni the second he took a rock-filled snowball directly to the face.  With a ‘tsk’ through his teeth, he made his way to the galley for another cup of coffee.  He assumed the entire ship was empty, and was caught by surprise at the sight of you standing at the wash basin in the kitchen with your hands under a steady stream of warm water from the tap.  You glanced over your shoulder at the sound of Law’s footsteps entering the room.
“Hi, baby!” you called.  Law could barely see your face from the angle you were standing at, but he could hear the bright smile that accompanied your words.  “Enjoying the snow day?”
Law learned early in your relationship that it was futile to fight the content grin that crawled over his lips whenever he heard the sound of your voice.  He meandered over to you, planting a chaste kiss into your hair.  “I think you already know the answer to that.”
It was easy to pick up on the gruff tone of his tired voice.  “I’m sorry, Law.  I know it’s annoying for you when things happen so suddenly.”
Your sympathetic words brought mild relief to the stress filling Law’s aching head.  As he started the electric coffee pot on the nearby countertop, he finally glanced over to see your hands under the sink faucet.  A deep gash in the palm of your left hand was slowly leaking blood as you washed it.  The tips of your fingers looked dry.
“What happened?” he immediately questioned, abandoning his coffee and stepping back toward you.  He grabbed a few paper towels from a drawer, reaching over you to turn off the tap and grabbed your hands in his, gently applying pressure to your wound.
You grinned at his actions, but your eyebrows were knit together apologetically.  “It’s nothing major, I was stupid and went outside without gloves on.  I cut my hand on a rock trying to catch a snowball.”
Law’s medical instincts had completely taken over as he sat you down at the galley dining table, locating one of the many first aid boxes that were located around the submarine before returning to your side, kneeling at your feet and beginning to patch up your wound with antiseptic and a gauze wrap.  “Leave it to those idiots to stuff rocks into snowballs.  That’s how people lose their eyes.”  He blew out an annoyed huff through his nostrils.
Your unoccupied hand reached forward to card your fingers through his tangled black locks of hair.  “It’s stupid, but we’re pirates.  Pirates do stupid things sometimes, don’t you think?”
Your boyfriend’s fingers lingered over your bandaged hand, ghosting across your palm before falling to his sides to pack up the first aid bin and return it to its original location.  “I suppose you have a point.”
Silence fell over the two of you as you watched Law move around the galley, ditching the first aid box and returning to the faucet, peering into the sink to make sure there was no residual blood that might have splashed into the basin.  He gave it a quick wipe-down out of precaution, before finally walking back to the electric coffee pot to load the reservoir with ground beans from a large plastic container.  A smile danced over your lips watching his movements, reveling in the domestic bliss that rare moments like this provided.
“I know it’s a lot to ask,” you began.
“You probably know what I’m going to say,” he responded, picking up on your thoughts before they even left your mouth.
You sighed.  “I know.”
Law turned his back to the coffee pot as he waited for the water to boil, leaning back against the counter to face you.  His steely eyes softened at your saddened expression.
“I just think it would be fun to have you join us.  How often do we get days to… I don’t know… have fun?  To relax?”  You knew your words would have little power against the man before you, given how routine-oriented and strict he kept his daily life.  Even in a comfortable, romantic relationship with you, he still kept to his regular way of living, and very little could change that.
“Days like this set back projects by a mile,” Law muttered under his breath.  “It would be a waste of time for me to go outside in the cold and watch my crew lob rocks at each other.”
You bit your lip slightly as your mind raced for any way to convince your beloved to drop his duties for one single day and instead try to enjoy himself in the company of his crew, his friends and family.  “What if I help you later?  What if you delegate tasks later this evening to everyone to lighten your load?  What if”
“Darling…”
“Law, I’m being serious!  Everyone hates it when you keep yourself cramped in your room hunched over paperwork all day… I hate it!  I don’t like seeing you stressed, and I know delays are frustrating but we’re pirates for crying out loud!  You have the freedom to drop your responsibilities for even a few minutes and relax.”  Your own voice raised ever so slightly in volume.
That word, the ‘F’ word, clearly had an effect on Law, given the way his shoulders stiffened.  The only sound that followed your pleas was the gurgling of the coffee machine on the counter.  His arms were crossed, eyebrows furrowed in thought as he stared back at you.  You held eye contact with his intense glare, not backing down from your request.  The two demons that sat on Law’s shoulder were having an all-out war with each other; one desperately begged for the cold captain to loosen up and enjoy himself, spend time with you and his crew, while the other told him he would be better off in his office, solitary, sipping on bitter coffee and scrawling chicken scratch into his log book.
Your eyes widened by a mere millimeter when you saw Law’s golden irises dart towards the porthole in the galley before instantly going back to you.
“I promise I’ll wear gloves,” you offered, your last remaining ammunition in this fleeting war of the mind.
A smirk cracked onto Law’s lips.  “You win.”
“What?”
“You win.  I’ll come outside with you.”
You launched to your feet, eyes wide with excitement.  “You will?!”
“Yeah.”
Law’s arms were ready to embrace you as you skipped toward him, boots leaving wet puddles across the metal floor in your wake as you threw your arms around his neck, angelic laughter leaving your throat as you thanked him for nothing in particular.  He squeezed your waist and gazed at you as you pulled away, eyes full of nothing but adoration for your happiness at such a miniscule agreement.
“Coffee can wait,” you demanded, linking your unbandaged hand with his and dragging him toward the ladder well to the top deck.  “Let’s go.”
“Wait, wait,” Law tugged on your arm.  “Gloves.”
You grumbled as you dug through a storage container filled with the crew’s seasonal accessories, pushing aside tacky hats and a few pairs of swimming goggles before producing a pair of insulated brown gloves.  They were smudged with dry oil and smelled akin to death, but you pulled them into your hands anyway, taking care to avoid pulling on your bandages.  Law pulled on his own jacket and gloves, changing out his shoes for a pair of heavier boots before following you up the ladder, onto the top deck, and out the main door into the cold, gray afternoon.  He obediently followed your heels as you bounded down the gangway, heavy steps alerting your crewmates to your return.
“Captain!  You’re alive!” Shachi called out, waving his hands in the air.
“How the hell did you manage to convince him to come outside?” Hakugan leaned over to you, exasperated judging by the sound of his voice.
Law had barely stepped foot into the layer of deep snow before he was tackled by a warm stone wall of white fur and an orange boiler suit.  His hands reflexively landed on Bepo’s shoulders, trying to steady the two of them before the human man would topple to the ground.
“Captain!  I’m so happy you’re joining us!  I’m building a snowbear, you need to help me!”  Bepo was rubbing his face into the side of Law’s head, leaving tufts of white fur behind that clung to the man’s black hair and feather-lined coat.
Their tender embrace was interrupted by a thud as a snowball planted itself behind Bepo’s head.  The bear released Law from his vice-like grip and whirled around, not hesitating when he dipped down, scooped a generous mound of snow from the ground, molded it into a ball with his large paws, and reeled his arm back to return fire to the first person he laid eyes on.
Clione was the victim, taking the huge snowball to the groin as it arched through the thin air and landed with precision and a comedic, dense smack.  The blonde doubled over with a pained grunt.
It didn’t take long for the fight to resume in full force, bald spots of snow being left in the ground as greedy hands scooped up larger and larger mounds of the frozen water to chuck at each other.  Law’s eyes gazed between each member of his crew, before landing on Penguin who secretly pulled a rock out from his pocket, shoving it into the snowball he held in his gloved hand.
With a split second flash of blue light and a barely audible whisper from the captain, the snowball previously held by Penguin was now clutched in Law’s hand.  The black-haired man reeled his arm back, throwing all of his energy into launching the snowball across the field toward Penguin, who took the blow to the chest.  The surprise caused him to stumble backwards, falling onto his ass and leaving a plume of snow to puff around him with the impact.  The Heart Pirates watched in awe as a mischievous smirk slowly appeared on Law’s mouth.
“No fair!  You have a devil fruit advantage!” someone’s voice shouted from across the snow-covered field.
“And?  You’ve sailed with me for long enough, use your head.”
Law leaned down to gather another mound of snow in his hands, eyes landing on you.  As he motioned to lob the object in your direction, another snowball planted against his bicep, halting his movements.  Ikkaku stood opposite him, an equally bright smile on her face as she shouted at you to return fire.  He barely had time to look back at you when he was met with white powder directly to the face.  He blindly threw his own snowball towards where you stood, grinning when he was met with the sound of your surprised yelp.  He wiped the freeze from his face just in time for Ikkaku to awkwardly sprint through the deep snow toward where you lay on the ground, hollering that you were hit.  You tossed a thumbs up into the air before letting your arm fall back down, laughing with Ikkaku over your sorry state.
More snowballs, some containing rocks and some without, continued to pelt against Law, who returned them with enthusiastic movement and a devilish grin.  He tossed a glance over toward you, face flushing when he found his stare returned, a beautiful, relaxed smile dancing over your face.
Law yanked a damp towel off of his head, freeing his wet hair to the air of his room.  A shiver went up his spine at the sensation of cold hair against the back of his neck.  The sight made you laugh from where you sat on his bed, bundled in one of his sweatshirts that you had pulled over your knees, leaving only your sock feet visible.
He pulled a pair of ratty sweatpants over his legs before crawling on top of the bed with you, pulling you down by your shoulder into his chest.  “I’m cold because of you,” he complained.
“And now you can be warm because of me!” you replied, voice light and airy as you snaked your arms around his waist and forced one of your legs in between his.  A tangle of limbs lay on his mattress.
Law’s fingers played with the tips of your hair as he stared across his room at nothing.
“Thank you.”  Your voice shook the man from his thoughts.
“Why are you thanking me?”
“Because you came outside with me today.  Everyone had so much fun… it was nice.”
The tenderness of your tone pulled at Law’s heartstrings.  It had never occurred to him until then how much his absence might have affected his crew, affected you, and so negatively at that.  He had never seen his crew laugh as a collective until then, throwing snow before getting tired and resorting to building snow creatures or leaving imprints of their bodies in the plush, white freeze.  Law even left one of his own, directly next to yours.  The two images were connected where your hands would be, to remain there until the snow inevitably melted.
“I should be the one thanking you,” he mumbled into the crown of your head.
You giggled into his neck.  “I love you.”
Law inhaled deeply through his nose, closing his eyes at the sound of your words.  He wrapped his arms tighter around you, thoughts running rampant through his head.  You weren’t expecting a response, he very rarely said those three words back to you, choosing instead to spoil you with his physical affection instead.
“I love you, too.”

The Tutor part 2
Tumblr media
Master List
Characters: Jensen Ackles x Reader
Warnings: Angst, Physical Assault-Jeff is back, Fluff, SMUT!
**Trigger Warning: Some of this features Domestic Violence. It’s grabbing an arm, face and slapping.**
A/N: Just a quick idea that popped in my head. A short series, maybe 2 or 3 chapters. I don’t know yet. No disrespect to Jensen or his family. This is a work of fiction. Jensen has children in this, but I do not use their real names.
Reader is a teacher and is asked to tutor Jensen’s child. Things develop between Jensen and the reader. I do not condone cheating, again, this is a work of fiction.
This chapter got a little long. Sorry not sorry. 😀 Please overlook any errors. I wrote this fast and edited it fast.
Minors DNI 18+
Weeks had passed since the shared kiss between you and Jensen. He was true to his word and nothing was awkward and he didn’t pursue another kiss. The two of you would share quick glances and an occasional ‘accidental touch’.
Mrs. Ackles had come home and you finally met her. She was kind but you noticed the tension between her and Jensen. It broke your heart. She was home for a few days before she left again. The kids were upset and Jensen seemed angry.
The holidays were approaching and you weren’t sure what your tutoring schedule would look like so you needed to talk to Jensen. After the kids were done for the afternoon and playing outside, you went to find Jensen.
You heard him in his office, and as you approached the door you realized he was on the phone. As you started to walk away you heard his voice filled with anger and hurt. You froze. “No! I want you to be home before the holidays, if not for me how about for our children? You’ve barely been home in months. It’s like you’re trying to stay away.” There was silence. As you started to walk away you heard him huff in frustration, “Fine, you do what you need to do. I’ll figure it out. I’ll see if my mom can come watch them so I can go do my job. You know the one that pays for this lifestyle you’ve become accustomed to.”
You walked back into the living room and started to pack up your things to go home. Jensen came down the stairs. He was wearing a t-shirt that hugged his chest, and gray sweatpants. You bit your lips and your thighs clenched together. His hair looked like he had run his fingers through it in frustration.
When Jensen saw you his features softened. “Leaving so soon, Y/N?” “Yeah, we are done and I figured you needed some space. I’m sorry. I overheard some of your conversation. I came to talk to you and heard it.” You put your head down, feeling a bit shameful for listening to his private conversation.
He walked up to you and placed his fingers under your chin, gently lifting up your head. “Hey, it’s okay. I could have closed the door. I’m sorry you had to hear that. So what did you want to talk to me about?” “Oh, um I was wondering what you wanted my schedule to look like with the holidays coming up.”
“Oh, well I guess that’s up to you. If you want to take a holiday break because you’re out of school too, I’m fine with that. I’m flexible.” You nodded and thought for a second. “Do you know when Mrs. Ackles is coming home? I overheard you say something about needing help with the kids, when would that be?
“Yeah, I’m not sure when or if she’s coming home. I have to leave Saturday for a few days to go shoot some episodes for a show I’m working on. I’ll see if my mom is available, so if you’re going to tutor you’ll get to meet her.”
You stepped a little closer to him, “Jensen, I can watch the kids for you if you want me to. I really don’t mind. I start my Winter Break on Friday, so I'll be available.” “Oh I can’t ask you to do that.” You touched his arm, “Jensen, you’re not. I’m offering, and I really don’t mind. I love your kids.”
He touched your arm, “That is incredibly generous of you. If you’re sure then I insist on paying you for it and you stay in the guest room while you’re here.” You stepped even closer to him. Feeling like a magnet was pulling you to him. “Jensen, you’re not paying me any extra.” He stepped closer, “You have to let me pay you for your time.”
Mere inches from each other now, you looked into his eyes, “No. You’re not paying me. I’m doing this because I want to. So you have a guest house and a guest room?” You asked. “Yes, the guest house is where we have people stay if they are going to be here for a while, the guest room is for shorter stays.”
Jensen’s hand brushed your hair behind your ear. “Thank you, Y/N. I really appreciate it.” Your breath hitched at his touch, “You’re welcome Jensen. I promise they will be okay.” He took your hand and pulled you into a hug. Your face buried in his chest, taking in his cologne. Your heart racing and the urge to kiss him became overwhelming.
You looked up at him and his green eyes met your y/e/c eyes. His thumb brushed your cheek and he leaned down. Stopping before touching your lips. You closed your eyes, anticipating the kiss, but it didn’t come. You looked at him and his eyes were a mixture of desire and sadness. “I’m sorry, Y/N. I don’t know what came over me.” He cleared his throat and released you from his arms.
Your heart ached for his touch and his kiss. “Um, let me show you the guest room.” He walked away and you followed him down the hallway. The guest room was on the first floor and down the hallway opposite the living room.
He opened a door revealing a spacious room with its own private bathroom. “This is where you’ll be staying while you’re here with the kids. Please make yourself at home, extra towels are in the closet in the bathroom.” “Jensen, it’s perfect, thank you. Is it okay if I come on Thursday? That way the kids can get used to me being here and you can be more comfortable with leaving them here with me.”
“I’m completely comfortable with you being here with them. I trust you with them, but yes. Feel free to come on Thursday.” You nodded and thanked him again.
*Thursday*
You: Hey, I’m leaving work now. I’ll be there in about 30 minutes. I already have my stuff.
Jensen: Great! I’m grilling tonight. Hope you’re hungry.
You: Starved. Can I bring anything?
Jensen: Nope, just yourself.
You: Okay, see y’all soon.
As you walked out to your car you saw Jeff leaning against it. He pushed off the car when he saw you. “Hey baby. I’ve missed you.” He tried to hug you but you pulled away. “Aww come on, don’t be like that. I think you’ve had plenty of time to settle down from your tantrum. You need to come home.” “I’m not coming back, Jeff. I don’t want you anymore and I am filing for divorce.” Jeff grabbed your arm hard, “The fuck you are! You can’t leave me. You’re nothing without me. Get in the fucking car, we are going home, NOW!” You pulled away from him and you cried out in pain. His grip was so tight on your arm. “Let me go! I’m not going anywhere with you.” He grabbed you again and pinned you against the car. His hand gripped your chin. The pain shot through your face. Your mind thought about Jensen and how gentle his touch was.
Tears streamed down your face. You brought your knee up and hit him in his groin. He dropped his grip and groaned in pain. “You stupid bitch!” He smacked you across your face, and it felt like your eye was going to pop out of your head. Blood fell from your mouth.
A male co-worker was coming out of the building when he saw Jeff hit you and ran over to help you. Jeff took off and your co-worker called the police. They came and took both of your statements and asked if you wanted to press chargers. You told them yes, so they were going to arrest Jeff. Once he was arrested they were going to issue a protective order too.
Over an hour had passed before you were free to leave. You looked at your phone and saw texts from Jensen.
Jensen: Hey, Y/N. It’s been a while. Hope you’re okay.
Jensen: Not trying to overstep, but I haven’t heard from you or seen you. I’m starting to get a little worried.
Jensen: Okay, it’s been over an hour. I’m really worried. Please let me know you’re okay.
Your heart fluttered and you felt guilty he was worrying about you.
You: Hey, I’m okay. I’m on my way. I’ll explain everything when I get there.
Jensen: Oh thank god you’re okay. I’ll be waiting.
You drove to Jensen’s house and when you pulled in the driveway you looked up and saw him standing at the door. Getting out of the car the first thing he noticed was the mark on your face. He practically leaped off the steps and came up to you. He cupped your face, “Oh my god, what happened? Are you okay?” You sobbed, the dam finally breaking. He pulled you into his arms as you stood there sobbing into his chest. His hand rubbing your back while he consoled you.
“Come on, let’s get you inside.” You followed him inside and sat at the kitchen bar. Jensen grabbed the bottle of whiskey and two glasses. “Looks like you could use this.” You nodded gratefully as you took the glass of whiskey to your lips. “I’m here for you, Y/N. Whenever you’re ready to talk.” You nodded and the tears started to flow again.
The kids came running into the room excited to see you. You turned so they couldn’t see you crying, and Jensen ushered them outside. “Guys, go outside and play until dinner is ready. Ms. Y/N and daddy have to have a grown up conversation.” “Okay daddy.” They ran outside.
You looked up at Jensen, “Thank you. I didn’t want them to see me crying.” Jensen took your hand in his and rubbed it. “I understand. I just want to make sure you’re okay.” You began to tell Jensen about what happened, and you saw his jaw tense with anger. “I’m scared. I didn’t think he was capable of that. I have to figure out what to do now. He knows where Y/F/N lives, and I don’t want to put her in danger.”
Jensen’s eyes softened and he walked around the counter taking your hand, “Move into my guest house. The offer is still on the table, and we have great security. He doesn’t know where I live. You would be safe.” You bit your lip, “I’ll think about it. I’ll let you know by the time you return from your trip.” “Okay, come here, let me look at that mark.” You stood up and Jensen turned your face to see the mark Jeff left. His eyes flashed with anger, sadness and something else.
“God, what kind of man hits a woman?” His hand brushed lightly over your face, “You deserve so much better than that, sweetheart.” You touched his hand that was still cupping your face and placed a soft kiss on his palm.
Your eyes met and the distance between you got smaller. Jensen’s lips inches from yours again. Your breath mixes with his. The smell of whiskey and mint hit your nostrils. “Tell me to stop, baby.” “I don’t want you to Jensen. Please, don’t stop.” His lips met yours in a soft passionate kiss.
You moaned into his mouth as his hands ran up your body. Your mind was racing. You knew this was wrong, but it felt so good. His lips and his hands felt so incredible on your body. Jensen softly leaned you against the door so he could lock it. Then he spun you around and led you back towards the bed.
Your calves hit the bed and you fell backwards. You giggled as he fell beside you. “You’re so beautiful. I can’t believe he’d hit you.” You blushed and kissed his lips.
His hand started to move against your body. You tensed a little. “Sweetheart, we can stop if you want to.” “No, I don’t want to. I just want you to be sure.”
Jensen kissed your lips and leaned back a little bit “I’m 100% sure I want this. I want you.” He pulled his shirt over his head revealing his perfectly toned chest. You licked and bit your lip. Your fingers traced down his chest. Touching each freckle and roaming over the contours of his torso.
You felt your arousal pool between your legs and soak your panties. His arousal was pushing against your thigh.
His hands cupped your breasts as his fingers moved to the hem of your shirt. You nodded and leaned up. He pulled your shirt over your head, revealing your bra covered breasts.
Jensen let out a primal growl as he took in the sight of your body. You tried to cover yourself. “No, baby. Please don’t. You’re gorgeous.”
You leaned forward so he could unhook your bra. As your breasts sprang free his mouth was on them. Sucking and playing with each nipple. You leaned your head back and moaned in pleasure. “Yes, Jensen. Feels so good.”
He smirked as he felt you responding to his touch. Jensen started kissing his way down your body. Taking his time, kissing each curve, mark and committing them to memory.
As he got to the hem of your pants his eyes looked up at you. You nodded. His fingers brushed against your zipper and button, undoing both of them. You lifted your hips helping him remove your pants and panties.
Jensen stood and threw your clothes to the side. He looked at your naked body laying on the bed before him. You were never comfortable with your body and now more than ever you hated every curve, stretch mark, and imperfections. You grabbed the blanket trying to cover yourself.
“Please don’t. I want to see your beautiful body. You’re perfect to me.” You let the blanket fall and tears fell from your eyes. “Oh baby, don’t cry.” “I’m not sad, Jensen. Nobody has ever said that to me. Not even Jeff.”
“Well we already knew he was a fool. This just confirms it.” He kissed you. His hand slipped between your thighs and found your folds. You gasped at the contact. “Mmm so wet for me.” You moved your hips trying to get more contact.
His thumb brushed against your throbbing clit as he slid two thick fingers inside your folds. “Oh Jensen” your breath hitched. He began to move his fingers faster, hooking up and hitting your sweet spot. You moved your hips in tandem with his hand. His thumb rubbing your clit as he finger fucked you.
You were close to your release, “Oh Jensen. I’m gonna cum. Oh fuck!”
Just as you were about to cum his phone rang. “Fuck! Don’t move” He growled as he stood up. You grabbed the blanket and covered yourself.
He walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. You laid on the bed thinking about what you two were about to do. His lips and touch were amazing. You wanted more.
You heard Jensen’s voice and could tell he was upset. Figuring the mood was gone, you grabbed your clothes and started to put them back on. A sadness filled your chest, realizing it was his wife on the phone. You wanted him and he wanted you, but he was still married and living with her. Could you really be “the other woman”?
After getting dressed you walked back into the living room. Jensen was leaning against the kitchen counter, still on the phone. “No, I’m still going to work. Y/N is on her holiday break and offered to watch the kids for us. She’s staying in the guest room. Are you going to be home to spend the holidays with your family? Well I hope for the sake of the kids you will be. Fine. Yeah. I guess I’ll see you next week. Bye.”
Jensen met your eyes and sighed. “I’m sorry sweetheart. I had to answer it.” You walked over to him, “it’s okay. I understand. She’s your wife and she needed to talk to you. Um, I’m going to grab my stuff. I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
You walked out to your car and grabbed your bags. Your heart was heavy. You craved his lips and his touch, but you couldn’t break up his marriage. His children were too important to you. Tears pricked your eyes. You knew you had to keep him at arms length for the sake of his children.
Walking back into the house you saw Jensen in the kitchen getting things ready for the grill. He looked up at you and saw the pain in your eyes. His heart clenching in his chest.
You walked to the guest room and started unpacking. You could still smell Jensen’s cologne and his shirt was on the floor. The tears you held back were falling.
A knock on your door had you quickly wiping them away. You cleared your throat “come in” you said softly. “Hey baby, I just needed my shirt.” Your back was to him. You sniffled. Jensen was at your side, “hey, what’s wrong?” You shook your head, “Nothing. I’m okay. I promise.” He cupped your face, his thumb brushing a single tear away,”Please talk to me.”
“I don’t know if I can do this. I want to be with you. I want to continue what we were doing earlier, but I can’t be the reason your marriage ends. I love your kids too much to hurt them like that.”
Jensen saw the pain in your eyes “Y/N, please believe me when I tell you that you’re not nor would you ever be the reason my marriage ends. We’ve been drifting apart for years. I lied to you earlier. She’s not on a girls trip. She’s on a trip with her boyfriend. We are only married for the sake of my career. Since I have the “family man” image. I don’t love her anymore and she doesn’t love me. So believe me when I say I want to be with you.”
“Oh, Jensen. I’m so sorry you’re going through that. I wish there was something I could do to help.” “There is, stay here with us. Be here with the kids and me. They love you so much and it’s been amazing seeing you with them.” “I’ll think about it. I promise.”
He placed a soft kiss on your lips, “that’s all I can ask for.”
Friday evening came faster than you’d expected. After the kids were settled in bed you started to clean up the kitchen and the rest of the house. Jensen was in his office working on some things before he left in the morning. You were going to miss him so much.
After you got everything cleaned you went to your room to change into your comfy sleep clothes. You were wearing an oversized shirt, and shorts. No bra but you had your panties on.
You walked into the living room and scrolled on your phone. You came across an article about Jensen and his newest project. Your heart swelled with pride.
Then there was another article that caught your eye. It was about his wife and how she’d been photographed recently with their good friend. You assumed this was her boyfriend by how cozy they looked. Your heart ached for Jensen.
Putting your phone down you walked to his office to see how much longer he was going to be. You wanted to go over everything with him so tomorrow morning y’all could focus on the goodbyes.
You knocked on his office door and he said come in. Walking in you saw him sitting at his desk, hair a mess, gray sweatpants hugging his hips, and his t-shirt spread across his chest. Perfectly outlining his toned body. You bit your lip.
“Hey sweetheart, you okay?” “Yeah. Just wanted to go over everything with you, but I can come back.”
Jensen turned so his body was facing you. His legs spread open. “Come here darlin’” he said as he motioned for you. He put his hands on your hips and pulled you between his legs. You leaned down and kissed his lips.
Jensen’s hands trailed up your body, leaving goosebumps in their wake. You moaned into his mouth. You could taste the whiskey he was drinking.
He pulled you on his lap and began kissing you again. You could feel his arousal through his pants. Your thin shorts leaving nothing much between you two.
You grinded down on his erection, pulling a moan from his lips. “Damn sweetheart. That feels good.” You slide out of his lap and drop to you knees. You look up at Jensen and smile.
Licking your lips you touch the waistband of his pants and begin to pull at them. You stop, look at him and he nods. Giving you permission to continue.
Slick pools between your legs and your breath quickens. You pull Jensen’s length out of his pants and boxers. You bite your lip at the sight. His cock is long and thick. The biggest you’d seen.
You saw some precum on the head, so you lick it off. Your mouth closes around the head and you lightly suck. Jensen groans. You take his length in your mouth and begin to suck him. From base to tip, all the way down your throat. Your tongue running up his length. Jensen’s eyes rolled back in his head, his head dipped back, and his hands grabbed your hair. “Oh fuck baby. That feels so good.”
Your mouth bobbed up and down his shaft. Taking every inch down your throat. The sounds of you sucking and his moans filled the small space of his office. You were taking him in so far your eyes began to water.
“Damn baby, you’ve got to stop. I don’t want to cum like this. Fuck I need you.” You leaned back slowly pulling your mouth off his cock. When you pulled your head back there was a small string of saliva that went from the tip to your lips.
“Damn you’re so beautiful, come here darlin’.” Jensen pulled you off your knees and pulled you back towards him. He sat you on the edge of his desk and ran his hands up your thighs. Your nipples were hard and poking out your shirt. Jensen leaned down and bit through your shirt. Your head fell backwards with a moan.
Jensen’s hands kept sliding up your thigh until they got to the hem of your shorts. His large hand pressed against your pussy through your shorts. Jensen could feel how wet you were. His fingers slid between your shorts and panties, “You’re so wet baby. I can’t wait to taste you.”
Jensen slid your shorts and panties down, exposing your dripping cunt to the cool air. A shiver went through your body. Jensen dropped down to his knees and put your legs over his shoulders. He licked a strip up between your folds, taking his fingers and parting your lips. Your hands grabbed his hair as his tongue danced around your clit.
“Yes, Jens, keep doing that. Oh god that feels so good.” Jensen’s fingers entered your pussy and hooked up. His tongue flicking and mouth sucking on your clit. “Oh god, I’m so close Jensen.” Jensen lifted his head, you noticed his beard glistened with your juices, “Cum for me sweetheart. Let me taste your release.” You pushed his head back down and he licked and ate you like a starved man. A few more licks and you were tumbling over the edge.
“Oh, fuck! Jensen, I’m cumming.” Jensen kept licking, pushing you over the edge again. By the time you finished cumming for the second or third time, you honestly lost count, your legs were like jello.
Jensen stood, lowering your legs gently. His lips crashed on yours. You could taste your release on his lips. “Come on darlin’, I need you. Let’s go to the bedroom.” Jensen helped you stand and took your hand. He guided you to his bedroom. “Jensen, are you sure?” As he pulled you into the room he locked the door, “Yes, I’m sure.”
He led you over to the bed, pulling off your shirt and exposing your breasts and your naked body to the chilly air. He removed his pants and was standing in front of you completely naked.
You bit your lower lip taking him in. You laid in the center of the bed as Jensen climbed between your legs. “Are you ready sweetheart?” “Yes, Jensen. I need you, please.” Jensen leaned over, grabbing a condom, putting it on. He lined himself up and slowly pushed inside you.
You both gasped at the feeling. Once he bottomed out he stopped. His head dipped into the crook of your neck. “Damn baby, you feel so good I could cum right now. I need a minute.” You were thankful he took a minute. He was much bigger than anyone you’d been with, so the feeling was a mixture of pleasure and pain.
Jensen hooked his arms around your legs and lifted them up a little. You moved your hips a little and he started to move. Setting a slow, steady pace, Jensen moved in and out of you. Taking his time, savoring every thrust and moan he pulled from your lips.
The sound of your pleasure and his rising in the air. Jensen felt himself getting closer so he sped up a little. His thrusts become more urgent, his hands gripping your hips and yours gripping his shoulders.
“Oh Jensen! Keep going baby. I’m close again.” Your grip on his shoulders got tighter and your nails dug into his skin. “Yes baby! Oh fuck, I’m gonna cum, Y/N.” “Me too, Jensen.” Your release hit without warning, your walls squeezing him and pulling his release. With one final thrust he was spilling his seed into the condom.
You felt his cock stop twitching and he pulled out. He placed a soft kiss on your forehead as he got up to clean himself up. You pulled the sheet up and around you, laying in his bed you watched him go into the bathroom. Your heart fluttered and warmed.
When he came back to bed he pulled you into his arms. Placing a soft kiss on your lips he whispered, “That was incredible. Thank you.” You smiled, “Yes it was Jensen. Better than I imagined.” “Oh, so you imagined having sex with me?” You blushed, “maybe.” “Don’t worry, I’ve imagined having sex with you since I met you.”
“Jensen! You have not.” You hid your face laughing. “Yes I have. You looked incredible the first time I saw you. After you left that night I touched myself thinking about you. This was so much better.” You bit your lip and smiled.
He pulled you closer to him and brushed the hair out of your face, “You are so beautiful. I’m going to miss you so much while I’m gone.” “I’m going to miss you too, Jensen. So much.” “I’ll video chat at night and we can have phone sex.” He winked at you. “That sounds like fun.” You chuckled. “Come on sweetheart, let’s get some sleep. We have to be up early.”
You nodded and the two of you kissed each other. Placing your head on his chest, you heard the steady beat of his heart. As you drifted off to sleep in his arms, you felt an undeniable feeling growing in your heart. You were equally excited and terrified.

First Skates-Matthew tkachuk
Matthew tkachuk x reader
Masterlist
Tumblr media
It was a crisp winter morning when Matthew and Y/N Tkachuk decided it was time for their son Nate to learn how to skate. The sky outside was a pale blue, and the snow had fallen thick the night before, covering the driveway and the world beyond in a soft, fluffy blanket. Inside their house, the air smelled faintly of pancakes and maple syrup as Y/N finished breakfast.
Nate, barely able to contain his excitement, was bouncing around in his pajamas, clutching his little skates like they were the most precious thing in the world. “Mommy! Daddy! When are we going to the rink? I wanna skate!”
Matthew, standing by the counter with a cup of coffee, smiled at the sight of his eager son. “We’re leaving soon, buddy. But first, we’ve gotta make sure you’re all ready,” he said, adjusting Nate’s little hockey helmet.
Nate, with his dark hair still messy from sleep, looked like a miniature version of Matthew. He wore a tiny black and red jersey with a Tkachuk jersey number on the back and hockey pants that were just a bit too big for him. His excitement was contagious, and Y/N found herself smiling, her heart swelling with love for her two boys.
“Do you think I can skate like Daddy?” Nate asked, his eyes wide with admiration.
Matthew crouched down, meeting his son’s gaze. “I think you’re going to be even better than me one day.”
Y/N chuckled, shaking her head as she finished packing up the bag with extra gloves, water, and a towel. “I don’t know, Matty. He might need a few years to catch up to you.”
Matthew shrugged with a playful grin. “I’m just saying, he’s got my genes.”
---
At the rink, the cold air hit them as they walked through the doors, and Nate’s face lit up. The ice was pristine, with freshly painted lines and the hum of the Zamboni still lingering in the air. He took a few tentative steps onto the ice, but the surface was slippery and unfamiliar, and he froze in place.
Y/N kneeled beside him, her hands resting gently on his shoulders. “It’s okay, Nate. You’ve got this. Mommy and Daddy will help you.”
Nate bit his lip nervously, looking up at his parents with big eyes. “I’m scared, Mommy.”
Matthew knelt down next to them, putting his hand on Nate’s back. “Hey, it’s totally normal to be scared at first. But I promise, once you start skating, you’ll love it. And we’ll be right here with you the whole time.”
Nate nodded slowly, still unsure, but his little face set with determination. “Okay, Daddy. I’m gonna skate.”
“Atta boy,” Matthew said, ruffling his hair before standing up and taking Nate’s hands.
“Here we go, little buddy.” Y/N stood beside them, holding Nate’s other hand as they slowly moved toward the ice. Nate’s skates were sharp, but he was so small that his movements were more like tiny steps than the graceful glides he’d eventually master.
At first, he wobbled uncontrollably, his legs flailing as he tried to keep his balance. “Whoa!” Nate giggled, his feet sliding out from under him. He fell backward, landing softly on his padded bottom with a small grunt.
“Good job, Nate!” Y/N cheered. “You got back up so fast!”
Nate looked up at her, a smile breaking out on his face. “I fell! That was fun!”
Matthew laughed, his heart swelling at his son’s excitement. “That’s the spirit. Falling is part of learning. Let’s try again.” He gently helped Nate back to his feet and steadied him.
They spent the next hour on the ice, with Matthew and Y/N holding Nate’s hands as he took slow, wobbly steps. Every time Nate fell, he popped right back up, determined to keep going. His parents cheered him on with every step, praising his perseverance.
“Look, buddy! You’re doing it!” Matthew said as Nate, with a concentrated expression, managed to glide a few feet on his own before stumbling again.
“I did it! I did it!” Nate shouted, his face lighting up. “Did you see, Mommy? Did you see, Daddy?”
“I saw!” Y/N exclaimed. “You’re skating! You’re already better than me!”
Matthew laughed, shaking his head. “No way. No one can skate better than Mom. You should see her back in the day. She was a pro.”
Y/N rolled her eyes. “That was before you, Matty.” She turned to Nate. “You’re doing great, honey. You’ll be skating like your daddy in no time.”
---
As the lesson continued, Nate’s confidence grew. With every step, he was more sure of himself. He stopped looking at his parents for support and started holding onto the edge of the rink, his little legs pushing him farther across the ice. His giggles echoed through the rink every time he made a successful push forward.
“I’m doing it! I’m skating like Daddy!” Nate shouted, beaming.
Matthew, standing next to Y/N, watched with pride as their son gained more and more confidence. “He’s a natural,” he said, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Y/N smiled back, her heart full. “You think? I think he’s got a long way to go before he catches up to his old man.”
“Well, we’ll have to get him a stick soon, huh?” Matthew mused, eyes glinting with excitement.
Before Y/N could reply, Nate skated toward them, his face flushed with excitement. “Look, Mommy! Daddy! I’m a real skater now!”
Y/N’s heart melted. “You sure are, sweetheart,” she said, bending down to give him a hug.
Matthew joined them, lifting Nate up in the air and spinning him around. Nate squealed with laughter, his arms and legs flailing in delight. “You’re a little hockey player now!” Matthew said, his voice full of pride.
As they continued to skate, Matthew held Nate’s hands and guided him around the rink. They went around the track a few times, and soon Nate was gliding on his own, though he needed the occasional steadying hand.
“Look at you go, buddy,” Matthew said, his voice full of admiration. “Next time, we’ll work on stopping, alright?”
Nate’s eyes were bright with excitement. “I can stop! Watch!” He bent his knees and tried to slow down, but ended up wobbling and falling. He landed softly on his bottom again, giggling.
“See? You’re already better than me,” Y/N teased, ruffling his hair.
Nate’s laugh was infectious, and the family continued skating around the rink, soaking in the special moment.
As they left the ice hours later, Matthew hoisted Nate up onto his shoulders, and the little boy’s tired but happy face was the picture of contentment.
“Can we come back tomorrow?” Nate asked, his eyes wide with excitement.
Matthew grinned. “We can come back as many times as you want, buddy. We’re just getting started.”
Y/N smiled at the sight of her two boys, her heart swelling with love. “I think this is the start of something really special.”
“Definitely,” Matthew agreed, looking down at Nate with a soft, loving smile. “We’ve got a little hockey player on our hands.”
“Yeah!” Nate chirped, his voice filled with joy. “I’m gonna be like Daddy!”
And just like that, the Tkachuks had a new family tradition—skating together, laughing, falling, and learning. The rink would always be a place of fun and memories for their little boy, and Matthew and Y/N couldn’t wait to see what the future held for their young skater.

Help Me, Help You - Part Two
Fenrys x F!Reader
Summary- Embarking on their journey, Y/n and Fenrys slowly start to learn a little more about each other, to Y/n’s utter annoyance.
Warnings- none
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
Part Two
Y/n follows the golden male, her own pack strapped to her back. Only the essentials, clothes, weapons, and gold, if she needed anything else she could buy it along the way.
They walked for what felt like eternity, the road was well worn into the forest floor, coated in dry fallen leaves, winter would hit here soon. The wind held that chill, bringing it from the northern point of the continent, a familiar feeling on her skin.
The nearest port city would take them nearly another whole day to walk to, and who knew how long after that to get passage to the southern continent.
Y/n had been half tempted to shift and run to their destination, but she stuck to Fenrys, after all she’d sought him out for a reason. As night soon approached, Y/n found herself walking closer to the male’s side. Her brother had told her many stories of the creatures that lurked in the shadows.
“So,” Fenrys says, breaking the long silence they’d fallen into, “If you don’t mind me asking, where’d the cat form come from? Vaughan is the furthest thing from feline.”
A question she’d heard most of her life, one she dreaded deeply.
“None of your business,” Y/n says, and there’s a bite to her voice that she can’t hide.
“No need to get testy, kitten.” The nickname had stuck long after they’d left that little village to her utter dismay. “Just trying to get to know my new partner in crime.”
She glares at him, “We have different fathers, that’s all you need to know.”
It was the simplest version of the story, the only one she was willing to share.
“See was that so hard?”
The male is grinning at her, the expression pulling uncomfortably on the large scars that adorned the side of his face, from his brow to his jaw, just barely missing the onyx eyes that examined her just as closely as she did him.
“Why’d they send you out to look for him?”
Fenrys raises that scarred brow, “I volunteered.”
She hums, looking back at the path before them. The sun was starting to set, turning the sky a deep orange.
“We’ll set up camp here,” Fenrys says, taking his small pack off his shoulders, “Start the fire and I’ll find us something to eat.”
He didn’t give her any time to respond, shifting in a flash into a brilliant white wolf. Y/n took a step back from the to large creature, her heart leaping in her chest.
Her brother had told her of the Moonbeam twins, of their opposite colored forms that could tear men in two with a simple snap of their jaws. She didn’t want to find out what those teeth would feel like around her throat.
The wolf stared at her, a knowing look in those onyx eyes. He turned, darting into the woods, leaving her alone, leaving her to figure out how to start a damn fire.
It didn’t take him long to hunt down a few rabbits, Fenrys was already on his way back before the sun had turned the sky a deep purple.
He’d expected to find a small fire, not Y/n glaring intently at a bundle of sticks and some dried leaves. She clutches another small stick in her hand, holding it tightly enough that it bends beneath her grip.
“I don’t think you can threaten it into starting,” he says, “Though I’d sure love to see you try.”
She startled, looking up at him with wide eyes, her posture rigid, like she was ready to bolt. It takes her a second to really look at him, to realize he’s not a threat, before she relaxes, turning her glare back on the little pile of sticks.
“I can’t get it to start,” she says, throwing that poor bent stick down on the ground.
“Staring at it isn’t going to help,” Fenrys laughs, “Do you even know how?”
Her glare shoot up to him, snapping, “Yes.”
The way she says it, the harsh tone, the self conscious edge to it, tells him that, no, she doesn’t know how to do it.
“What? No one taught you any survival skills, kitten?” Fenrys asks, “I would’ve thought dear old brother would have at least shown you the basics. He always was the outdoorsman of the group.”
Y/n doesn’t snap back like he thought she would, only glares back down at that little pile, as if she could will the fire into starting.
Fenrys sighs, kneeling down in the dirt beside her, taking one of the larger sticks into his hand, placing the slightly sharp edge against one of small pieces of tree bark. Using both his hands to turn the stick back and forth, pushing down with each turn to create more friction. It only takes a few moments for the bark to start smoking, and then a small flame catches, spreading to the dried leaves packed around it.
Fenrys glances at the female beside him, those keen eyes watch his hands closely, like she was trying to memorize the motions.
She seemingly feels his gaze, her eyes jumping up to meet his own, he sees the embarrassment as soon as it hits.
“I haven’t left home much,” she explains, “No one saw fit to teach me.”
She shifts uncomfortably beneath his gaze, so Fenrys looks away, turning his attention to their dinner. He sees her watching in his peripherals as he prepares the the little creatures to be cooked. Her eyes are intently on his hands, watching each cut of his knife. Fenrys takes his time, slowing the motions down, silently teaching.
Fenrys throws the meat onto the fire, “I don’t know much about your brother if I’m being completely honest.”
“Not many do,” Y/n answers, those eyes still on the roasting rabbit, “He’s always been very private, even at home.”
“And where’s that?” Fenrys asks, “Home?”
Finally, those keen eyes look up, lit up by the fire, they look even more cat like than usual.
“North,” she says, quietly like the information was a secret, “A very small village in the Cambrian Mountains.”
Fenrys wouldn’t ask the name of the village, it’s likely he’s never even heard of it, “How’d you get so far from home?”
He didn’t add the fact that she didn’t know basic survival skills, yet the narrowed eyes tells him she heard the unspoken words.
“I traveled much in my other form,” she explains, “The Oakwald Forrest Cats are well used to the cold.”
With the long thick coat he’d seen, it wasn’t a surprise.
“I knew I’d recognized that cat,” Fenrys says.
He’d seen them near Terrasen, yet he’d never seen a fae shift into one. Though many of the fae of Erilea had been long hunted down, the few that remained, the ones he’d found to help them, there hadn’t been a cat among them.
“A gift from my father,” she says blandly, an edge to her voice like the last time he’d asked about her family. Seems her father was a sore spot for her, he tucked that knowledge away for later.
He hums, turning the stick holding his dinner to roast the other side. She did the same with her own, staring into the flame intently for several long minutes.
There was a familiar look in her eyes, one he’d seen in his own many times, like she was lost in a memory, lost in the emotion it came with.
So Fenrys took his dinner from the fire, nudging her own towards her, “Eat up.”
Without even looking at him, or looking away from that spot in the fire, she took her food and ate silently, methodically.
Once she was done, she shifted in a bright flash, curling into a small ball by the fire, her back to him. A clear statement, I don’t want to talk.
He knew the feeling all too well.
They arrived at the small city just south of the Naval port around midday, far quicker than she expected. Fenrys had gone to the docks to look for passage, leaving Y/n to wander the city by herself.
It wasn’t much, yet it was bigger than what she was used to, louder too. There was many voices, vendors hawking their goods, children playing, musicians singing and dancing to music played on improvised instruments.
Overwhelming, Y/n could only stare at it all in her cat form. Moving through crowds and over high beams, dodging hands that reached to pet her soft coat, hissing at to curious people who tried to grab her.
“Here, kitty kitty kitty,” a voice behind her, familiar and annoying.
Fenrys stood there, the human crowds parting around the obviously fae male. He was smiling devilishly at her, holding out what seemed to be a piece of ham from the wrapped sandwich in his hand.
She hissed at him, swatting the offering.
“Awe, come on,” he coos, “Don’t you want a treat, kitten?”
A man walking beside them fell straight on his ass when Y/n shifted, growling at Fenrys.
“Stop calling me that.”
“What? It suits you,” he leans closer to her, drawling out the word, “Kitten. Hey!”
He yells as Y/n rips the sandwich from his grasp. Turning on her heel to stalk away from him while she took a pointedly large bite.
“That was mine,” Fenrys whines, catching up to her in a few strides.
“And where’s mine?” She asks with a raised brow, taking another bite.
“I asked if you were hungry earlier,” Fenrys sighs, throwing his hands in the air, “You’re the one who said no.”
Y/n shrugs, “What’d you find at the docks, anything?”
Fenrys sighs again, turning his gaze away from his stolen sandwich to glare at the sky. That wasn’t good, Y/n thought, they’d be stuck here for weeks waiting for a ship to take them across the sea. Vaughan could be well on his way to the other side of the vast southern continent, and she’d never find him.
“Nothing?” She asks, lowering her hands from her mouth.
Fenrys moves quickly, snatching the lunch from her, “No, actually we leave in the morning.”
She gapes at him, “That was-“
“Mine actually,” he cuts in, biting directly where her mouth had just been, “Did Vaughan not teach you to always keep your guard up either? That was like taking candy from a baby.”
Y/n snarls at him, and Fenrys just laughs. She tries to grab it from him, but the male just held it high above his head, far far above her own.
“Oh quit with the hissing, kitten,” Fenrys laughs, “I’ll get you your own, we need to stock up for our trip anyways.”
“Quit calling me that, you oaf,” she snaps.
Fenrys smirks, patting her head with his free hand once, snatching the hand back as she went to swipe at him.
“Quit reacting so much and maybe I’ll stop.”
She doesn’t respond, only bearing her teeth at him, to which he only laughs, turning on his heel to saunter through the market. Y/n quickly realizes he wasn’t going to wait for her, assuming she’d just follow.
Swearing under her breath, she did just that. Jogging to catch up to the male, who still had that insufferable smirk on his lips as she settled into step beside him.
“I thought you were going to sit there and pout all day,” Fenrys says.
She was half tempted to claw at his smirking face and give him a matching scar on the other side.
“You owe me a sandwich.”
He laughs, “Someone’s mean when she’s hungry. Good to know, I‘ll pack extra snacks.”
“Shut up.”
They spent a several hours traversing through the vast city markets, stocking up on dried meats and cheeses that would hold well on the trip down to the southern continent. Once their bags were packed to the brim, they made their way to the ship, where they’d spend the next few weeks. It was set to leave first thing in the morning, so they hadn’t bothered to find an inn to stay the night in.
Fenrys had been relieved to find a ship that would take them, let alone one that was headed straight to the continent. And in his time on ships, he could say this was one of the nicer ones he’d been on.
The owner was a merchant, one that traded in silks and thread, he claimed to have tailored for Hasar herself. Knowing the female, Fenrys highly doubted she would let the sniveling man anywhere near her.
Fenrys had more than enough gold to pay for the trip across the sea, and enough to splurge on a private room away from the shared hammocks below deck.
He dropped his heavy pack onto the small desk by the door, falling face first onto the small bunk pressed against the wall with a satisfied groan. Fenrys appreciated the gentle sway of the ship beneath him, mostly because it was about to take him far away from this suffocating continent.
Behind him, Y/n quietly shut their door, carefully arranging her bag onto the opposite bunk, much more refined than his careless approach.
Fenrys turned his head just enough to see her. Either she didn’t notice his gaze or didn’t care, her focus stays on her bag, on the clothes she dug out. She methodically arranged her items, something Fenrys noticed she did a lot, she’d done it that morning when they packed out their little camp, later in the market when she stored away her things. Like there was something soothing about the repetition, like it calmed whatever was happening in her mind.
Fenrys would like to learn something similar, if only to stop the endless thoughts and emotions that, even after several months, still ran constantly through his head.
Her eyes finally turned to him, catching his stare. Suddenly he felt like he wasn’t meant to be watching, and the embarrassment of being caught had his cheeks darkening. There was really no reason for it, it wasn’t like he’d been watching her change.
“I’m going to go freshen up,” she says casually, her eyes not missing the blush, “Don’t miss me to much.”
She moved to the door, and Fenrys found himself tracking the movement, pushing up to rest on his elbows. She moved silently, like she always did, that feline grace that would put the silent assassins of the red desert to shame.
“I miss you already, kitten,” Fenrys sighs dramatically as she opens the door.
A hiss, a slam of the door, and she’s gone. Fenrys smiled to himself, settling back into his bunk. The gentle sway of the ship had him yawning before to long, the somewhat comfortable bunk didn’t help either, compared to the last few sleeping arrangements it was like laying on a cloud
As he drifted off to sleep, he saw keen eyes watching him, directly through his mask of confidence and swagger, staring into his soul, broken and dark, yet not seeming to care. Fenrys could only stare back, wishing he could see past her own shields.

steve had barely made it out of the bullpen before soda was tackling him in a hug.
“you were amazing!” soda gasped, not caring that steve was sweaty and dirty and about fifty people could see them clear as day.
“i told you i would be,” steve wrapped his arms around soda’s waist and lifted him a few inches off the ground. “you worry too much about me darlin’, i’m fine.”
before they could get out of the way, a horse rode by in the pen next to them, kicking up a massive cloud dust and dirt, causing both of them to cough and gag for a few seconds. the second he got his wits about him, steve rubbed his eyes and grabbed soda’s arm to pull him away from the worst of it.
soda was still coughing as steve pulled him up next to ponyboy and johnny and the rest of the gang on the bleachers watching the rodeo.
“hey, you calm down,” steve coached him quietly, gesturing for him to sit down with ponyboy, but soda shook his head.
“i’m fine,” soda put his hand up and before steve could say anything, he was bolting off in another direction with two-bit to watch another event. steve felt the anxiety building in his chest. he nudged pony’s shoulder roughly.
“give me his inhaler, kid,” steve said to pony, gesturing to the kid’s backpack that was sitting on the bench in front of them. “i don’t like how much he was coughing.”
pony looked at steve nervously, “you think he’s gonna need it? should i get darry?”
steve shook his head, his eyes still trained on soda, “i don’t know, i’ll keep an eye on him for now. i’ll be with him for the rest of the night, it’s better for me to have it. don’t go buggin’ superman just yet, though.”
pony dug around in his bag for a moment before producing the inhaler, nervously handing it off to steve. steve ran after soda and two-bit, catching them just as they both won cowboy hats at one of the carnival games. soda howled with loud laughter, no trace of a wheeze in his voice, and steve felt something loosen in his chest.
they carried on goofing off until the sun began to set, which with work in the morning was steve and soda’s cue to start to head home. they had spent so much time laughing and fooling around that steve almost forgot about the inhaler stashed in his pocket. soda would cough a little every now and again, but it was a rodeo, there was dust everywhere. if something was wrong, they’d know.
“no way!” soda laughed as they walked through the parking lot. “you really think those soc boys are gonna bring that mustang to our shitty little shop?”
“that’s what marcia told two-bit… they seemed pretty pissed with how much it was gonna cost to get it fixed on the west side,” steve laughed. “plus, their girlfriends were going on and on about how handsome you are.”
“too bad they don’t know i’m off the market,” soda glanced around to make sure they were alone, then leaned in and kissed steve quickly.
steve wanted to appreciate the kiss, he really did, but something else he heard caught his attention.
his brows furrowed, “honey, you’re wheezing.”
soda rolled his eyes, “no, i’m not, stevie, you’re just worryin’ because of that dust cloud earlier.”
steve sighed, pulling the inhaler out of his pocket, “humor me and keep this on ya while i drive home?”
soda didn’t take it, walking to the other side of steve’s car and climbing into the passenger seat. steve started to drive them home, the light outside the car turning steadily purple, stealing glances at soda every few minutes.
they were a few minutes away from soda’s house when it started, and it happened so fast that they couldn’t have been ready for it if they wanted to be. soda let out a series of harsh, wet sounding coughs. steve’s head whipped onto him, and he could tell from the look on his eyes that they needed to be worried. steve tried to reach into his pocket and grab the inhaler, but between his seatbelt and trying to keep the car on the road, he couldn’t fish it out of his pocket. he slammed his foot down on the gas, searching frantically for a place to pull over.
“i know, baby, just try to keep breathing for me, i’m trying to find us a spot to stop.”
eventually, he managed to find a vacant-looking lot, where he pulled over and yanked his seatbelt off, ripping the inhaler from his pocket.
“hang on, i’ve got it, just one second.”
soda was still practically coughing up a lung, his cheeks bright red and his eyes brimming with tears. steve slid over in the bench seat of the car, pulling soda into his arms as he popped off the cap and got it into soda’s mouth.
“big breath for me, okay?”
soda looked up at him with huge glassy brown eyes, eyes that clearly said how much pain he was in, how he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to. god, steve couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen soda so scared.
“i know, baby, i know it hurts but please try for me,” steve pleaded through a growing lump in his throat and tears in his eyes, holding soda as tight as he could to his chest.
steve counted them down from three, puffing the inhaler at the same time soda took as deep a breath as he could manage. he coughed weakly, and steve pulled him closer, tucking soda’s head under his chin and sliding a cold hand up under his shirt to place it over soda’s chest.
“stay with me, breathe with me, it’s gonna be okay, i’ve got you,” steve mumbled, pressing soft kisses to soda’s hair and trying his best to keep his own breathing steady and calm.
after giving soda another puff a few minutes later, he had managed to stop coughing, but steve could still feel his chest contracting and he could still hear a wheeze in his lungs. he sat up a bit so soda could see his face, “you think you’re okay to get home? we can wait if you aren’t.”
soda nodded silently.
steve sighed, “i want you to use your nebulizer when we get there, i know you don’t like it, but i just want to be safe before you go to sleep.”
steve had been expecting soda to protest, he usually had a lot of trouble sleeping after a treatment, but soda nodded again and started to buckle himself back in. they drove the rest of the way home quietly, and when they parked the car outside the curtis house, steve came around to get soda into a piggyback to carry him inside.
“damn princess,” he mumbled, but soda could hear the smile on his face. soda just nosed his ear sweetly and kissed his temple gently, squeezing him a little tighter for a moment.
steve discarded soda on the couch when he kicked the door open, “stay there, i’ll bring it out here.”
soda sat and waited patiently for steve to get back. he could still feel the tightness in his chest, and he knew darry would probably smack him if he had an asthma attack and didn’t do a treatment after the fact, especially if his inhaler hadn’t completely taken care it. it was probably the first time in months that he had been quiet for more than a few minutes, but he didn’t really feel like he could get words out if he had wanted to.
steve came back into the room with their biggest and comfiest blanket, a glass of water, and soda’s nebulizer.
“call me a princess again,” soda giggled.
steve leaned over and kissed him sweetly, throwing the blanket over him, “don’t tempt me, you know i’m right.”
steve finished setting up the nebulizer, starting the treatment and handing soda the mouthpiece. he crawled up next to soda and pulled him back into his side, soda tossing the blanket over both of them and snuggling into steve as he breathed in his medicine, his lungs finally starting to open back up.
he leaned his head against steve’s chest and whispered, “you know i’m not gonna sleep for three days now, right?”
steve sighed fondly, tucking soda into him, “i know.”

Syncing Dream [Aespa x M!Reader]
28. Burgandy
Note: a lot of terrible jokes will be in here. You have been warned.
Masterlist here
Tumblr media
The night in Bangkok was warm and balmy, the city lights twinkling through the large windows of aespa’s hotel suite. After an electrifying concert, the group had finally made it back to their hotel room, exhausted but still riding the high of their performance.
Giselle was lying on the couch, scrolling through her phone with half-lidded eyes, clearly on the edge of sleep. Karina and Winter were still in their stage outfits, their energy somehow not completely drained after giving it their all on stage. Ningning was perched at the dining table, surrounded by a pile of snacks they’d bought earlier, happily munching away as if they hadn't just finished a full concert.
Meanwhile, Y/n was slouched in one of the armchairs, finally feeling the weight of the day hitting him. Between handling backstage logistics, checking on the equipment, and making sure the girls were all set for their performances, it had been a whirlwind. All he wanted now was to relax, maybe sneak a few moments of peace before crashing into bed.
Of course, his hopes for a quiet night were quickly dashed.
“Y/n-oppa!!” Ningning called out, tossing a pack of chips his way with a playful grin. “Don’t think you’re escaping tonight.”
He caught the chips (not looking btw), groaning. “What did I do this time?”
Winter shot him a mischievous look. “We’re bored. And you know what happens when we’re bored.”
“…Please no,” Y/n muttered, already sensing where this was going. He loved the girls, but their idea of ‘fun’ usually involved pulling him into some kind of shenanigans, and after a long day like this, he wasn’t sure he had the energy.
“For the love of God, please no…”
“You know what we haven’t done in a while?” Giselle asked, sitting up suddenly, her eyes gleaming with mischief. “Instagram live.”
Y/n’s eyes widened, and he shook his head immediately. “Oh fck that sht, I’m not doing this.”
Karina laughed, nudging him playfully. “Come on, Y/n! The fans love when you join us. Plus, it’s tradition now.”
“We’ve dragged you into doing dumb stuff so far,” Ningning added with a grin. “Why break the streak now?”
“Because I value my peace and quiet,” Y/n said, leaning his head back against the chair in defeat. “Can’t you guys just enjoy a normal, quiet night like normal people?”
“We ain’t normal.” Winter smirked. “Plus, where’s the fun in that?”
Before Y/n could protest any further, Ningning was already starting the live stream, waving at the camera with her usual enthusiasm. “Hey, MYs! We’re here in our hotel room, relaxing before our next stop on the tour. And guess what? We’ve dragged our lovely manager into the live today!”
Winter leaned over, shooting Y/n a teasing glance. “He’s the one that keeps us from going completely wild, but today? Naaaahhh.”
Y/n chuckled nervously as the chat exploded with comments. They had barely been live for a minute, and the fans were already buzzing about Y/n's sudden appearance.
“Why is he so shy?!” Winter read aloud, laughing. “Come on, Y/n, say something to the MYs!”
He waved awkwardly at the camera. “Uh, hey. I’m just here to make sure they don’t burn the hotel down. Again.”
The girls burst out laughing, and Giselle leaned into the frame. “Hey, no one needs to know about the last fire incident.”
“We didn’t burn anything!” Ningning protested through giggles. “We just… almost did.”
As the chat filled with fans reacting to the banter, Karina, ever the master of stirring things up, raised an eyebrow. “Y/n, the fans want to know who your favourite member is. You’re live now, no dodging the question.”
He sighed, shaking his head. “You guys really want to get me in trouble, don’t you?”
Ningning grinned mischievously. “Just tell them the truth.”
“Nah. I’m the favourite aespa member.” Y/n gave up. And it was the start of the chat raging in hype.
The comment starts from “let’s gooo!! Y/n the king!” To “Damn, even he gets infected by aespa’s weirdness.”
Soon after, the chat flooded with terrible puns. One fan wrote: “What’s aespa’s favorite snack? Aespa-ghetti!” Another: “Do aespa members use the My-way app?”
(Yes they r terrible and I own it)
Winter leaned over to show him the screen. “Look at this one: ‘How does Karina fix her mistakes? With aespa-logies.’”
Y/n groaned dramatically. “Oh, that’s so bad. So, so bad.”
Giselle patted him on the back. “Get used to it. Our fans have terrible humor, and we love them for it."
From the back, Ningning shouted with an epiphany. "OH! We have a good joke as well!"
"Oh right that one!" Giselle, seemingly knew the memo, shouted. And it seemed like the remaining girls knew as well, judging from their giggle. "MYs we have one for you guys."
"Which one?" Y/n was confused.
"Ok, ok." Karina started. "What is the colour of a hamburger?"
While Y/n stared blankly at the girls, trying to understand what is going on, the girls averted their eyes and tried their best to not burst out laughing.
"1,2" They counted in union. "Burgandy."
The aespa girls turned away embarrassed. Y/n's expression turned from shocked…to disgusted.
"…YOU GUYS SUCKS!" He pinched his nose, wishing that he could just run away from how obnoxious it was.
As the comments kept rolling in (and a moment of recovering for Y/n), Ningning suddenly burst out laughing. “Oh my God, listen to this one: ‘Why did the manager cross the road? To get to aespa’s concert on time.’”
Y/n chuckled despite himself, but he quickly fired back, “At least I’m on time for once.”
Karina leaned toward him, grinning. “We’ve been meaning to ask you about that. Ever since the Tokyo leg, you’ve been strangely… efficient. We were kinda hoping for more chaos.”
"Live report!" Giselle shouted. "Y/n's more efficient these days! What is your secret?" The camera zoomed into Y/n, strikingly similar to a news report.
Y/n shook his head, given up and smiling. “What can I say? I’ve learned from my past mistakes. No more accidental double-bookings. I’m too good now.”
As the live continued, the girls bantered with the fans, reading out comments and responding with their usual charm. They shared highlights from the concert, funny moments from backstage, and teased Y/n at every opportunity.
“Someone wants to know who Y/n’s favourite solo song is,” Ningning read aloud, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “You’ve been dodging this question for a while, mister.”
Y/n sighed, shaking his head. “Why do you always put me on the spot like this?” He turned to the screen. “Guys, they kept bugging me this question ever since the songs are done. Like, Why?”
“Because it’s fun,” Winter answered with a smirk. “Now tell us, who’s your favorite?”
The comments were filled with guesses, most fans assuming it would be Karina since he had previously chosen her solo song during rehearsals.
“I’m not answering this,” Y/n said, crossing his arms. “I refuse. I don’t want to trigger WW3”
“Oh, come on!” Karina whined, playfully nudging him. “You chose my song last time. Just admit it again.”
Winter leaned forward, grinning. “But you said my song was your favourite now, right? Tell the truth.”
Y/n groaned, running a hand through his hair. “You’re all impossible.”
Finally, with an exasperated sigh, he gave in. “Fine, Winter’s song is STILL my favourite now. There, I said it.”
Winter’s face lit up in triumph, while the other girls feigned outrage.
“Traitor!” Karina exclaimed, clutching her chest dramatically. “I can’t believe you switched sides.”
Ningning shook her head, laughing. “Minjeong-unnie dethroned the queen once again. This is big news.”
“Yeah, yeah, rub it in,” Karina said with a mock pout, though she was clearly enjoying the moment. “I’ll win him back with my next solo.”
As the live wound down, the girls said their goodbyes to the fans, promising more content and more fun in the future. Once the live ended, the room was filled with laughter, Y/n included.
“That was fun,” Winter said, stretching and yawning. “But now I’m exhausted.”
“You’re exhausted?” Y/n groaned.
“Me too,” Karina agreed, standing up and stretching her arms over her head. “Let’s call it a night.”
As the girls started heading to their rooms to get some well-deserved rest, Y/n pulled out his laptop, ready to wrap up a few last-minute travel details for the next stop.
Just as he started typing, Karina poked her head back into the room. “Hey, Y/n?”
“Hm?” he hummed, looking up.
“Thanks for putting up with us,” she said with a soft smile. “We know we can be a handful.”
Y/n chuckled, shaking his head. “You guys aren’t that bad. Besides, I’ve gotten used to you lots.”
Karina grinned. “Well, don’t get too comfortable. There’s always more dumb stuff coming.”
“Oh no, please spare me, Your Highness” Y/n smiled to himself as she disappeared down the hallway. Chaos or not, he wouldn’t trade these moments for anything.
-
The hotel suite in Singapore was buzzing with energy. Aespa had just wrapped up another concert, this time in front of a massive crowd that filled the stadium. Spirits were high, and despite their fatigue, the girls weren’t ready to wind down just yet. Singapore had been kind to them, and they wanted to savour every moment.
As the group sat around the dining table, Y/n was busy in the kitchenette, preparing a post-concert meal. It had somehow become a tradition over the last few stops for him to cook up something comforting after a show. The girls always loved it—whether it was ramen, fried rice, or whatever random ingredients he could scrounge up from room service and convenience store runs.
“Smells good, Y/n,” Winter called out from the table, watching him with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Y/n, who was stirring a pot of cheesy ramen on the stove, glanced over his shoulder with a mock scowl. “It better, or else you’re all ordering takeout.”
Karina, sitting with her feet propped up on a nearby chair, snickered. “I doubt you’ll let us starve, Y/n.”
“That’s right!” Ningning chimed in, grinning. “We’re your precious artists. You wouldn’t dare.”
"Nah, you guys more like the chirpy daughters, and I'm the tiring mom." Y/n chuckled
Giselle, who had been quietly setting up her phone, suddenly spoke up. “Guess what time it is, ladies?”
Karina immediately perked up, recognizing the tone in Giselle’s voice. “Oh no, we’re not doing it again, are we?”
“Oh yes, we are,” Giselle said with a sly grin, already tapping her phone. “Instagram live, baby.”
Y/n groaned audibly from the kitchen. “You shtting me. Didn’t we just do this in Bangkok?”
Ningning laughed, clapping her hands. “That was days ago! The MYs miss us already.”
“Correction, they miss our idiot,” Winter added with a smirk, pointing at Y/n.
“No way,” Y/n muttered, stirring the pot of ramen with more vigour than necessary. “I’m not getting dragged into another live.”
But it was too late. Giselle had already hit the start button, and the comments were flying in as soon as the live feed went up. The camera, aimed squarely at the table, caught all four girls in their post-concert glow, lounging around like they didn’t just perform for hours in front of thousands of people.
“Hi MYs!” Giselle greeted cheerfully, waving at the camera. “Guess what? We’re back, and we’ve got a special treat for you tonight.”
The camera panned to the kitchen, where Y/n stood at the stove, still trying to avoid being the centre of attention. The chat exploded with excitement, flooding the screen with hearts and laughing emojis.
“Y/n’s cooking again!” Karina teased, glancing at the camera with a mischievous grin. “Well, actually cooking.”
“He’s making cheesy ramen,” Winter added, sniffing the air. “It smells delicious.”
Y/n, realising there was no escaping it, turned around and waved half-heartedly at the camera. “Yeah, yeah. Ssup, MYs. Don’t get too excited. It’s just ramen.”
The comments were relentless, filled with fans asking him for recipes, wondering if he’d open a restaurant, or just teasing him about his newfound viral fame from the last few Instagram lives.
Ningning leaned forward, reading one of the comments aloud. “‘We want a cooking tutorial from Y/n!’ See, they love you, oppa.”
“I’m not giving cooking lessons,” Y/n replied, shaking his head. “I already taught them and they're a handful.”
Giselle, ever the instigator, zoomed in on the pot of ramen. “Come on, Y/n, show them what you’re working with. Give the people what they want.”
Y/n sighed, giving in. “Fine, but this isn’t a cooking show. It’s just ramen with cheese, people. Anyone can make this.”
He picked up the pot and held it up to the camera, showing off the gooey, cheesy noodles that had the girls practically drooling. The chat lit up with comments of approval, the fans clearly entertained by the whole scene.
“See? Chef Y/n at your service,” Karina said with a grin. “You’re spoiling us.”
Y/n set the pot back down and started dishing out bowls of ramen for the girls. “You know, I could just stop cooking, and you’d all have to fend for yourselves. I already taught you.”
“You wouldn’t dare,” Winter said, taking her bowl and grinning. “You’d miss us too much.”
The girls, now fully immersed in the live stream, started answering fan questions while enjoying their late-night snack. Meanwhile, Y/n continued to avoid the camera, focusing on cleaning up the small mess he had made while cooking.
“Okay, MYs,” Ningning said with a playful grin as she twirled some noodles around her chopsticks. “We’re going to do something fun. Let’s make Y/n answer some of your burning questions.”
Y/n, who had just finished washing a dish, froze. “No, no, no. I’m not doing this.”
“Oh, you are,” Karina said with a smirk. “The fans want answers.”
“Let’s see,” Giselle said, scrolling through the comments. “Someone asked if you’ve ever messed up a meal for us before.”
Y/n rolled his eyes. “Yeah, that time. Not going into details but these girls kept bringing it up for no reason! They're mean!”
Karina gasped in mock offense. “Rude!”
As the Instagram live continued, the playful energy in the room remained strong. The girls had finished their ramen, lounging comfortably around the room, still buzzing with excitement from their concert in Bangkok. Y/n, who had somehow been dragged into their chaos, was doing his best to stay out of the spotlight.
That was, until Giselle spotted a question in the comments that made her grin mischievously.
“Oh, this is a good one,” she said, her eyes lighting up. “Y/n, they want to know what your favourite anime is.”
Y/n, who had been enjoying the show from the sidelines, froze. He knew answering that question was going to stir up trouble, especially with the girls all being anime fans to varying degrees. He could already feel the debate brewing.
“Uh… do I have to answer that?” Y/n asked, glancing around, hoping for a lifeline from anyone in the room.
“Of course you do!” Winter exclaimed, leaning in with an eager grin. “You can’t escape this.”
“And you have to be completely honest,” Giselle added, pointing a chopstick in his direction like she was interrogating him.
Y/n sighed, knowing there was no way out. “Fine, fine. If I had to choose… I’d say ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’.”
(It’s a classic)
The chat erupted with excitement, and the girls all started talking at once.
“Oh, solid choice,” Giselle nodded, clearly approving. “A classic. Nice.”
Winter was quick to agree. “Fair, ‘Fullmetal’s awesome! The storyline, the characters—everything is great.”
However, Karina leaned back with an exaggerated sigh. “Oh please, ’Fullmetal’? It’s so... expected.”
Y/n raised an eyebrow at her. “Excuse me? Expected?”
Karina grinned and waved her hand dismissively. “I mean, yeah, it’s good, but it’s the safe choice. I’m disappointed in you, mister.”
“Oh, I’ve gotta hear this,” Y/n said, crossing his arms. “So, what’s your favorite anime then, Ms. Yoo?”
Without hesitation, Karina smirked and said, “‘Shin-chan’.”
The room went silent for a second as everyone stared at her, and then Y/n burst out laughing. “What the actual- really?”
Karina shook her head confidently. “Nope. It’s a masterpiece.”
Giselle, who had been sipping her water, choked a little. “You’re saying ‘Shin-chan’—the show where a five-year-old showing his peepee in every episode—is your favorite?”
Karina sat up straighter, completely serious. “It’s iconic. The humour, the way he interacts with the world—it’s genius. Not everything has to be deep and meaningful, you know.”
Winter snickered, nudging Y/n. “I think her taste in anime reflects her personality perfectly.”
“Oh, 100%,” Y/n replied, still grinning. “She’s definitely got that loser in a hot girl’s body energy.”
Ningning, who had been quietly following along, raised her hand timidly. “Wait… who’s Shin-chan? What are you guys talking about?”
The entire room turned to look at her, and Y/n blinked in disbelief. “You don’t know ‘Shin-chan’?”
“…am I suppose to?”
“BROOO!” Y/n groaned in agony, voicing the collective opinion of the chat. “I feel so old.”
Giselle started laughing. “Oh, this is going to be fun.”
Karina waved her phone in the air. “We’re fixing this right now. Ning-ah, you’re getting an education.”
Ningning groaned, throwing her head back dramatically. “Ugh, not more anime stuff. You guys always do this to me!”
“Hey, this is important,” Winter said, still giggling. “Shin-chan is a cultural icon.”
Y/n shook his head, leaning back in his chair. “I can’t believe we’re having a serious discussion about ‘Shin-chan’.”
Karina pointed at him. “And that’s because you have no appreciation for the finer things in life, Y/n.”
Giselle rolled her eyes and turned back to the chat. “Alright, MYs, what’s your favourite anime? Let’s see if we can get some backup here.”
As the chat filled with answers, Y/n glanced at Winter, who was still smiling from the chaos. “I should’ve known better than to get involved in this.”
“Oh, come on, you love it,” Winter teased, giving him a playful nudge. “Besides, it’s fun watching you try to defend your mainstream picks.”
“Ya, you call FMA mainstream, but you’re obsessed with ‘Demon Slayer’,” Y/n shot back.
Winter shrugged. “Hey, ‘Demon Slayer’ is just objectively amazing. The animation, the music—it’s on another level.”
“I’ll give you that,” Y/n admitted. “But nothing beats the Elric brothers for me.”
As the conversation continued to spiral into more anime debates, Ningning was still trying to figure out what was happening, occasionally throwing in comments that had everyone laughing.
“Wait, so is Shin-chan a superhero or something?” Ningning asked, furrowing her brow.
Karina gasped dramatically. “Ningning, you poor soul. You have so much to learn.”
The girls burst into laughter, and the live chat was having the time of their lives, contributing their own anime recommendations and egging the group on.
After a few more minutes of banter, Giselle finally glanced at the clock. “Alright, MYs, we’ve been on here long enough. We should probably head to bed.”
“Yeah,” Winter agreed, stifling a yawn. “We’ve got another show tomorrow. Time to recharge.”
“Good night, MYs!” Ningning said, waving at the camera. “Thanks for hanging out with us!”
“And next time, we’ll introduce Ningning to the world of ‘Shin-chan’ properly,” Karina added with a wink.
The girls ended the live stream, and the room settled into a comfortable quiet as they started to clean up and prepare for bed.
Y/n, who had survived the chaos, stood up and stretched. “Well, that was fun. I feel like I just went through a tournament arc.”
Winter chuckled. “You held your own pretty well.”
Karina smirked. “But next time, you better have a more interesting answer than FMA.”
Y/n rolled his eyes. “I’m not changing my answer, Ms. Shin-chan over there.”
As the girls started to head to their rooms, Y/n lingered for a moment, cleaning up the remaining dishes. He couldn’t help but smile to himself. Despite the constant teasing and the weird conversations, these moments were what made everything worthwhile.
Just before Winter left the room, she paused and looked back at Y/n. “Hey, next time we talk anime, you better be ready to defend your pick against ‘Demon Slayer’. Just saying.”
Y/n chuckled. “Too easy, Jeong.”
Winter grinned, giving him a playful salute before disappearing down the hallway.
As the quiet settled back into the hotel room, Y/n took a deep breath, feeling grateful for the camaraderie he shared with the girls. It didn’t matter if they were on stage or in a hotel room having weird conversations with fans—this was his family.

i. ruggie and jack
The days that preluded the end of winter break was filled with hustle and bustle. Many of NRC’s students were frantically packing last minute, and saying heartfelt goodbyes to their families as the new semester approached.
Ruggie, for one, was trying to figure out how he was going to lug all of his luggage back to Savanaclaw. His Bibi meant well, but she could be a bit of a worrywart. What started out as a few herbal medicine ingredients soon turned into many, and she insisted that he should share with his friends if they ever needed it.
“I doubt that they’d drink any of that stuff I give them, Bibi,” Ruggie said, casting a levitation spell over his luggage and stringing it down main street.
“Ruggie-senpai!” Jack called out. He was decked out in full winter gear, a messily knitted scarf wrapped around his neck. Ruggie snorted, waiting for his junior to catch up.
“You just got back?” Ruggie asked, tugging at the end of Jack’s scarf. “And what’s this?”
“Oh, uh,” Jack’s ears twitched, clearly embarrassed. “My sister made it for me. It’s actually pretty warm. Have you gone to visit Leona-senpai yet?”
“Nope,” He popped the ‘p’, shedding his jacket as they entered the Savanaclaw mirror. “I am not looking forward to how messy his room is gonna be.”
Jack unwrapped his scarf, gently placing it in his bag, “Yuu told me that they were doing Leona a favor or something, so maybe it’ll be okay.”
Ruggie blinked. Yuu and Leona spending winter together…? Well if that didn’t sound like a recipe for disaster, then he didn’t know what would. He quickly dumped his bags in his room, taking the quickest route to Leona’s room.
“Are you worried?” Jack asked, having followed behind him.
“About Yuu-kun more than anything,” Ruggie muttered as he reached for the door. “You know how Leona-san can be sometimes.”
The door creaked open, and the two were greeted with…Leona sitting on the couch while Yuu was mid-stride seemingly pacing around the room.
“Oh, hi,” Yuu greeted. Their posture betrayed their awkwardness more than anything that was actually was going on.
“Hi Yuu,” Jack said, leaning against the doorway. “What are you doing here so early?”
“I, uh,” They glanced down at Leona, who raised an eyebrow in challenge. “Leona tried to cheat his way out of doing one of the worksheets so I came back to scold him.” And that was when Ruggie noticed something off.
He glanced around the room. It was…neat. Neater than he had seen it for ages. Heck, even the bed was nicely made. And in the corner he spotted what looked like Yuu’s bag sitting right in front of Leona’s closet. Not to mention…
“C’mon, herbivore,” Leona drawled, spinning the pen in his hand. “Don’t worry your pretty little head over a single worksheet.” Leona didn’t look the slightest bit annoyed at being up early with a worksheet right in front of him. Instead, he was just focused on them, barely looking over at him or Jack.
“Leona-senpai, Yuu’s heating and cooling depends on this,” Jack said, and Ruggie could see the twitch of Leona’s brow clear as day. Uh oh. “Cut them some slack.”
Something had changed. Ruggie could hazard a guess, but he did not want to stick around and face the wrath of Leona’s anger this early in the morning.
“Listen here, pup,” Leona said, irritation in his tone. “Winter break ends in two days. I’ll get it done by then.” Jack, on the other hand, seemed confused at the sudden hostility.
That was when Yuu stepped in, "You said you'd finish early so we could go to the botanical garden." Miraculously, Leona leaned back, throwing an arm over his eyes.
"Everything's too loud today," The gripe was halfhearted, and Ruggie's jaw could've dislocated from how low it was dropping. The Leona Kingscholar...calming down just like that?
Yuu carefully sat down beside him, "Then why don't we go to Ramshackle, your Highness?"
"Don't call me that," Leona huffed, though Ruggie didn't miss the way his tail instantly wrapped around their leg.
"You said you liked it," They teased, before turning to them again. "How was you guys' winter breaks?”
Leona seemed to frown as they started conversing with Jack. And Ruggie..well, he prided himself on being able to read the room, so he very promptly turned around, shoving Jack out of the room.
"Wh– Ruggie-senpai–"
"Ah, sorry, Yuu-kun!" Ruggie called out. "I forgot I have something to do with Jack-kun, talk to you next time!” Jack didn’t know just how close he was to getting sent to do lap.
And Ruggie couldn’t bite back the grin on his face either. Now he had a cheat card to dealing with Leona’s bullshit. He made a mental note to give Yuu some of the herbal medicine that his Bibi gave him, because Seven knows that they would need it.

ii. crowley
Crowley was having quite the headache of a day. It came with running the school single-handedly, he supposed, and he almost mourned the loss of sandy beaches and the cold drinks that he had savored just the day before.
Alas the show must go on. He was the illustrious headmage of NRC after all!
And he was on a mission to find his favorite student. He wasn’t supposed to play favorites, but he found himself particularly endeared to the Ramshackle Prefect, Yuu. They were a good kid, better than the other troublemakers at the college.
So he often found ways to give them things, such as the phone that he conveniently gave them before winter break. (For communication purposes only. Definitely not because he was worried or anything.) Or the task he gave them before winter started. (He knew how dreary Ramshackle got, so the school’s heath would give them the warmth they needed.)
“Ah, there you are!” He exclaimed, finally finding Yuu amongst the shelves at Sam’s Store. “I was looking everywhere for you, Prefect!”
Yuu was dressed well for the cold weather, and he could see they were wearing the gifts that the other staff members gave them, “Headmage. How was your vacation?”
“Oh, it was wonderful, the beaches were— wait that’s not what I’m here for!” Crowley coughed into his hand, a bit flustered. They were the only student out here that was polite enough to ask him such questions. “I just wanted to congratulate you on the completion of your tasks! The fairies were buzzing about your timeliness.”
“Oh, uhm,” They awkwardly shuffled around the snacks in their arms. They always got like that when he complimented them a bit too eagerly. “Thanks I guess. And our heating and cooling?”
“Oh,” Crowley blinked, remembering the empty words he spouted before winter break. He didn’t think they would really take it to heart. “The fairies are more than happy to help out to make Ramshackle more hospitable, so I shall send them over soon. And you’ve outdone yourself with your other task, so don’t hesitate to ask for something else.”
“Hey, hey! Little imp and Crowley!” Sam greeted, ever the jovial. “What an interesting combo! Crowley, did you finally get them your gift?”
“Gift?” They asked, staring with what Crowley would say was just a little bit of hope. Argh. His conscience was hurt.
“I should have given this to you before winter but,” Crowley laughed nervously. “I was just…so busy with the mirror business—“
“Crowley was wailing to us in the teacher’s chat about how ‘his child would freeze without his gift’ and what not,” Sam said conspiratorially.
I-I was not!” Crowley sputtered, finally pulling out the small gift. “There. Please use it well.”
Yuu opened the small box, a smile spliting on their face, “Are these…socks?” They were, indeed, socks. Not just any socks, the best thermal socks on the market. With the NRC logo on it. But they didn’t need to know that part.
“Yes, well, a good pair of socks goes a long way!”
Yuu laughed, “You’re right. Thank you, Headmage.”
“I-It was the least I could do. And Sam, I was simply congratulating Yuu-kun on a job well done,” Crowley tapped his cane on the ground, trying not to be too proud that Yuu liked his gift. “They managed to get Kingscholar-kun to finish all his worksheets for this winter break.”
Sam blinked, “That’s a magnificent feat! What kinda black magic did ya use on Kingscholar?”
“Yeah, herbivore, what kind of magic did you use to persuade me to do schoolwork?” The group immediately startled, watching as Leona leisurely walked over, slinging an arm over their shoulder.
Yuu seemed to fluster, “I…we just exchanged favors. That’s all.”
“Hmm,” Sam hummed, a grin on his face. “My friend from the other side is telling me something interesting happened over the break.”
Crowley narrowed his eyes as Leona smirked, “W-Wait a minute! Kingscholar-kun! What did you do to the Prefect?” Nothing good could come out of Leona Kingscholar looking so…so triumphant!
“I didn’t do anything,” Leona said coyly. “If anything it was Yuu who suddenly—“
“Okay, enough,” Yuu interrupted, tugging Leona out of the store. And the weird thing was Leona easily followed. “Me and Leona have something to discuss. See you two later!”
As they hurried away, it finally dawned on Crowley.
He pointed a half crooked finger toward the exit, “Are they…dating?”
“Seems so to me,” Sam snickered. “I think they make a cute couple.”
No…Crowley couldn’t accept it. There’s no way his beloved child was dating Leona Kingscholar. There was no one in NRC that Crowley could wholeheartedly approve of dating Yuu. Especially not Leona. Not on his watch.
“That— Kingscholar!”
Tumblr media
iii. grim
Grim wasn't stupid. He wasn't into complicated stuff like classes, but he sure noticed the new development that had happened over winter break.
Leona Kingscholar, the scary– ahem, lazy beastman from Savanaclaw...was always with his henchman nowadays. When they had alchemy homework, he was always there in a labcoat next to them. When they studied in the library, he was dozing beside them. And especially during meal times like this! He helped himself to the food that they cooked. And the worst part was the fact that the henchman didn’t seem to mind.
It was to the point that it was worrying, because his henchman was his! Their one and only boss was him, Grim the Great, after all!
But it seemed that Leona was trying to steal his henchman away from him.
Grim narrowed his eyes as the henchman left to grab some water, "Hey. Why are you trying to steal my henchman from me?"
"Hah?" Leona glanced at him before takong another bite out of his lamb chops. "Who's stealing from who?"
"I mean!" Grim stood up on his chair. "You're always around them these days, yanno!"
Leona scoffed, but he seemed to consider his words before finally speaking, "How 'bout a truce, furball? They stay your henchman and they're my herbivore. Deal?"
Well. First of all, Grim wanted to take offense at being called furball. It was clearly an insult to his (very cute) and intimidating fire ears.
But that...
"Hmph. Fine," Grim pointed his paw toward Leona's plate. "But I want one of those!"
Leona grinned, tossing a lamb chop onto Grim's plate, "Pleasure doing business with you."
As Grim chewed on the lamb chop, the henchman returned, two glasses of water in their hands, "What are you guys talking about?"
"Nothin'"
"Nothing."
The beastman and monster stared at each other for a moment before going back to their food. Grim kept an eye on Leona, who was being more touchy than usual. He kept poking the henchman and the henchman looked...
That was when Grim remembered Ace being all gross and talking about his past dating escapades. And that was when it clicked.
"Henchman," Grim glanced between the two with hesitation. "Are you two...dating?"
Yuu choked on their bread, and Leona wordlessly handed them his water.
"Yeah," Leona stated, rubbing their back lightly. "Why?"
"Nothin'! It's just," Blue eyes scanned Yuu, before thinking back to the many people at NRC who definitely expressed interest in them. "Henchman, I think ya could've done better, yanno?"
Leona's eyes narrowed, "You little–"
And that was how Grim spent some time running away from the beastman who chased him around Ramshackle. Meanwhile the ghosts were congratulating a still-shellshocked Yuu, so Grim's yells for help went unanswered. At least he got a lamb chop out of the whole ordeal.

iv. leona
It was official. Maybe Leona was finally starting understanding where Falena was coming from when he gushed over his queen. Leona himself could barely keep himself from thinking about Yuu once every few minutes.
It would be embarrassing to admit just how many times he had been distracted enough that his gaze kept drifting toward Yuu.
Yuu who was comfortably nestled against him, scrolling on their phone. He wrapped an arm around their waist, nuzzling into the plane of their back.
"What's this about?" They asked, their hand patting his own.
"Nothing," He said, his voice muffled as he felt their heat seeping into his fingers.
His thoughts couldn't help but drift back to their conversation that fateful day.
And until that moment Leona had never realized how similar they were. Their words were a mirror of his own, down to the talk of the word ‘deserve’.
He spent his life being a slave to that word. 'I deserve to be king.' 'I deserve to be the dormleader.' 'I deserve to win in the magift tournament.’
All the thoughts of 'deserve' in his life never led anywhere useful. Did he ever want to be king, or was it just the words of others around him that filled him with such hatred for his own existence that the throne was the only thing that he thought would fix it?
If he truly wanted something he should fight for it. And if he lost, and still wanted it, then he would try again. That was what he understood now. And that was what lead him to Yuu.
It still wasn't fully resolved. Leona still had his doubts on whether he could truly care for them properly. And he sure as hell hadn't figured out just what got Yuu to have such a warped perception of him. But…
His arms tightened around them. It was something that they could figure out at a later date. For now, he would settle for the way their heart rate seemed to spike as he softly stroked their stomach.
He pressed a kiss against their shoulder, “Why’s your heart rate going up?”
“Ugh,” They sighed. “I hate that you can hear that.”
“Why’s that herbivore?” Leona’s hand drifted, until he could swipe the hair away from their nape. He learned that they were especially reactive when he kissed their neck. He pressed his lips against their skin, smirking as he heard their heart rate speed up, “Kinda cute that you do that.”
Yuu shifted until they were facing him, a frown on their face, “If you want to kiss me, you should just ask Leona.”
“You were busy,” He murmured, though he didn’t hesitate to close the gap of space between them.
“If you asked me to, I would’ve put down my phone earlier,” They said, their breaths sounding a bit short as Leona’s nose brushed against theirs.
“You’re so in love with me, aren’t you?” Leona drawled, suppressing a laugh at their expression.
Instead of saying anything, they leaned forward and pecked his lips. Something must’ve shown on his face, because they grinned, “Yeah, that’s what I thought.”
And then Leona couldn’t hold it any longer. He leaned in, their arms readily wrapping around him as they kissed. Leona couldn’t hide his impatience as he licked into their mouth, the startled noise they made turning his rationality into mush. He never thought he would ever have such greed for another person before. But this… Their hand that was buried in his hair tightened and he tilted his head further, their noses brushing when—
BRIIING—!
Leona flinched back at the obnoxious ringtone. He could see Yuu trying to catch their breath, blinking a few times to gather their bearings. Did he really have to answer the phone?
“Answer it,” They said gently. He pecked their cheek before pulling back. He found his phone on the table, the name flashing on the screen making him roll his eyes.
Meddlesome Falena
He looked over his shoulder, “It’s Cheka. Are you ready yet?” They raked their hand through their hair, the strands falling messily around their face as they gave him a thumbs up. Dammit…they were unfairly pretty at times.
And as Leona internally cursed, he pressed the 'answer call’ button.

“Hello? Hello! Papa, I can’t see Ojitan, I can only see black!” The cheerful voice that rang out made Yuu chuckle slightly.
Leona seemed to hesitate before opening the camera, “That’s because I haven’t opened my camera yet, brat.”
“OJITAN!” The squeal that Cheka let out was quite frankly earshattering. They winced before moving into frame. “Oh! Huh? Yuu-tan! Yuu-tan’s here too!”
They answered Cheka’s enthusiastic waves with a greeting of their own, “Good to see you too, little lion.”
“How come Yuu-tan is here already?” Cheka wasn’t the best camera man. They were getting a very interesting angle of Cheka’s chin and shoulder.
“Uh…” Yuu trailed off, glancing at Leona.
“Who cares?” Leona grumbled. “Why did you call?”
But Cheka didn’t seem interested in knowing anymore, “Papa! Look, Yuu-tan’s here too.” Yuu immediately straightened their posture, while Leona took this time to yawn.
“Alright, alright,” They could see the camera shake before light flooded the screen. Falena was now proping the camera up, a colorful tapestry behind him as he held Cheka in his lap. “Hello brother. And Yuu-san too! This is perfect, hold on a second—“
“Papa’s calling Mama over,” Cheka helpfully added as Falena turned to talk to someone off camera. “Mama was very interested in what we did.”
“Tch,” Leona said, looking like he swallowed a particularly bitter medicine. Maybe he didn’t have the best relationship with his sister…?
“Do you not like the queen?” Yuu asked quietly.
“No,” Leona answered, albeit a bit reluctantly. "If she went asking that means that she already figured it out.”
“Figured what out?”
Leona leaned against their shoulder, “Wait and see.”
They gulped as another figure entered the camera’s view. An intimidating beastwoman traditional garb swathing her in colorful fabrics. She was a lioness beastman, they noted, matching Falena almost perfectly in her regal appearance. For a moment there was silence across the line.
And then a smile cracked on her face, “So. Who was the one who confessed first?” What? Falena seemed to echo their sentiment, his expression shifting from confused to realization to shock.
While Yuu was still in shock, Leona volunteered a hand, “I did.”
They sputtered, “You— You proposed at first.”
“Hmm… You were braver than Falena, then,” She tilted a head toward her husband. “It took him a whole three years to actually propose.”
“Oh gods above,” Falena muttered, still out of his mind. “Leona’s engaged? He…my baby brother…” It seemed that it didn’t take much for Falena to be shocked.
“We’re dating. Da-ting,” Leona emphasized each syllable like he was talking to a child. “The proposal was a gimmick.”
Now Yuu snorted, “You seemed to be seriously considering it before.”
“Yay!” The loud shout disturbed the calm atmosphere. It was clear that they had all forgotten that Cheka was in attendance. He swung his arms around, pumping his tiny fists in the air, “Yuu-tan and Ojitan are getting married!”
“Uh…Cheka,” Falena said tentatively. “That’s not—“
“Well before that, they would need to visit the Savanna, right, m’toto?” The queen seemed to be seriously thinking about it. Wasn’t it…a bit fast? “I for one, would like to get to know you first.”
Cheka seemed to agree, nodding furiously, “I’m gonna take Yuu-tan to all my favorite spots!”
“Wait, we’re not actually engaged,” Yuu laughed nervously. This development was not what they were anticipating. How were they supposed to know that the Queen would be this interested in Leona’s partner?
But Leona didn’t seem phased, “I’ll bring them the next time we have vacation.”
“Leona??” They glanced at their boyfriend before looking at the screen. “Why are you going along with this?”
“Cuz,” Leona grinned at them mischievously. “We can’t have you running away from me, can we?”
“Yup!” Cheka chimed in. “Yuu-tan’s family now!”
Yuu had a feeling that they didn’t quite understand what they were getting into when they dated Leona. And now they were suffering the consequences. But well…
A vacation in Sunset Savanna didn’t sound bad. Plus they would be sponsored by the Royal Family, and they could bring Grim along. And Leona would be there.
It was a fitting end, perhaps. They started this vacation wondering about families, having not remembered their own. And it seemed now that winter was over, they were heading into spring with a brand new family.
Their friends. Crowley and the teachers. And now Leona and Cheka.
Maybe this family they had gathered wasn’t such a bad thing afterall. Yuu squeezed at Leona's hand lightly. And Leona nudged them with his elbow in return, giving them a smirk.
It was a fitting end indeed.

for once in my life, let me get what i want. [battinson]
please ignore my shit tenses | wc: 780(?)
Tumblr media
You’ve never been one to ask for more beyond what you’re given. Your feet are always impossibly cold and your smile is missing from your face these days. Winter’s hard enough as it is. You didn’t know how to feel about the mysterious man dressed up as a bat, running around at night to fight crime.
You’ve heard what this mysterious vigilante does to the rogue criminals he catches. You’ve even witnessed his brutality a few times, thankfully never aimed at you. He saved you once. You were walking home, with your cold feet and blank expression, and a group of men had jumped out of a nearby alley. You had thought, ‘oh fuck, here we go again,’ and prepared to hand over your meagre possessions. You had not anticipated the fearsome vigilante materialising out of nowhere, throttling the living daylights out of all the men until they cowered in fear. You had watched, dumbfounded, as he picked up your small, bright pink purse and handed it to you.
You almost wanted him to keep it, if only for the comical juxtaposition.
So, no, you don’t know how to feel about him. Gratitude is a motivating factor but, nowadays, you barely feel anything at all. You certainly don’t feel anything when he takes your cold hand the second time you meet (another mugging foiled) and awkwardly massages it.
“For the circulation,” He growls softly.
You hum and let him massage your hand.
The citizens of Gotham call him “the Batman”, or simply “the Bat”. Sometimes they’ll call him “Vengeance” with a capital V, but nobody answers when you ask why.
You’re not native to Gotham, but you’re not from a city which was its polar opposite either. The gloomy weather and gothic architecture is a welcome reminder of the home you unwillingly left behind.
The third time you meet him, you feel braver than before. “You ever heard of the PJ Masks?” You ask softly, watching as he delivers a harsh blow to an unconscious thug (muggings are very common in Gotham, especially when they can sense that you’re not from here). He glances back at you, his lips pursed and his eyes smeared with dark eyeliner. You wish you could take off the cowl and see his full expression.
“I haven’t,” He says softly. His voice is jarring to listen to. You can tell he’s a man of few words so whenever he speaks, you are enthralled. You don’t know why. What sort of lunatic would be fascinated by a bat vigilante?
Lunatics like you.
“It’s a good show. Reminds me of you,” You say. Your lips don’t curl up in a smile but it’s a near thing. Your feet feel warmer today.
He’s a man who talks little, but he humours you anyway. “Must be good then.” You think you imagine the minute twitch of his lips as he turns away, his fearsome cape dripping with droplets of rain and blood. You watch him go.
Your hands are still cold.
The fourth time you encounter him makes you feel as if he’s started to keep tabs on you specifically. There’s no reason for the fearsome Bat to be lurking outside the 7/11 closest to your little apartment at 2am, but he is there. There’s no thievery to put an end to and no criminals for him to terrify. There is just you and the bright lights of the 7/11 and the jalapeños-and-cheese baked concoction in your hands. Your eyes are glimmering in the artificial light as you break off a piece.
You offer it to him, a small smile playing on your lips. He takes it from you slowly, as if he’s afraid he’ll hurt you. Your feet are cosy and warm tonight. He doesn’t smile back but he does stand next to you all night. Gotham is quiet tonight. It’s a blessing in disguise for you both.
The last time you meet him, you are hurting all over. There is blood sliding down your face and your vision is blurred, but you know it’s him when someone takes your hand. He rubs your hand soothingly.
“For the… circulation… right?” You croak out. It’s hard to talk with chapped lips and broken teeth.
He doesn’t respond. His grip on your hand tightens.
Some upcoming villain in Gotham decided to launch a nefarious attack in the city centre. You were caught in the crossfire, as were many other civilians. But it’s you whom he chooses to comfort, and it’s you whom he clings onto as you fade away.
Your hand goes limp in his grasp. It’s cold.
But there’s a smile on your face and your feet are warm.

4 Time Bridget Knows Something's Wrong and 1 Time She Learns What (Part 1)
Bridget liked to think of herself as many things: a merciful and fair queen, a talented baker, and an overall good person. That said, there was one accomplishment above all that she prided herself on and that was her darling Red. Up until this point, she thought she had done fairly well with her little sweets.
Of course, there were rough patches, but that was par for the croquet course with teenagers, but when it came down to it, Red and her trusted and knew almost everything about each other. This was why so many incidents stuck out like a white rose in a garden of red (if you pardon the pun).
It began with the drive home. Admittedly, Bridget expected Red to be tired, but she didn’t expect her to be so withdrawn. Somehow, Red felt miles away while sitting only two feet apart as Bridget tried to coax her into a conversation. She had barely heard anything from her during the school year and was excited to hear all about her adventures. Instead, Bridget received quiet, one word answers with Red borderline running out of the truck once they arrived at the palace.
Since then, that had been the longest Bridget had managed to keep Red in one place, which leads us to the series of incidents that cause the queen quite a few concerns about her little girl. Starting with the cupcakes.
“Oh, Red darling!” The queen (although not looking particularly regal in a bright pink apron at the moment) called to her daughter from the royal kitchens as she finished frosting her signature treats topped with pink icing and feathers. Red wandered over with a bizarrely contained stroll, as if suddenly minding how she carried herself (a far cry from her usual lax posture).
“I made your favorites! I thought about having a batch ready for you when we got home, but I wanted to ensure they were fresh.”
Red looked at them with a soft smile, her eyes not raising to see their creator. It had been odd how reticent Red had been to even look at her, but Bridget hoped that it was just her being exhausted from the trip and the excitement of a new place after homeschooling her entire life. Frankly, Bridget was ecstatic to have her not so little girl home, even just for winter break and she hoped that some childhood nostalgia would bring that little girl entranced by the changing colors back to her.
Red picked one up, taking a tentative bite and the sparkles dancing around her hands and working upwards. Bridget was struck with a strange sense of déjà vu before pushing it to the side and enjoying the sight of pink overtaking her crimson child.
“Thanks, it tastes delicious…I missed these,” Red finally spoke, quietly but at least Bridget finally got to hear that sweet voice she had missed around the castle.
“You would always love watching me make these when you were younger, remember? You were barely old enough to hold a spoon and got the ingredients everywhere, but you were adamant that you wanted to learn to bake like mummy. Frankly, I think you just enjoyed the colors, but the experience was so incredibly sweet in more ways than one.” Bridget smiled at the memory, once again struck with longing for those days when she could always have her daughter with her. “We could try whipping a batch of something new together, maybe with a bit of spice?”
Red’s face immediately took a somber turn, putting the cupcake down, again never meeting her mother’s eyes. “Thanks for the offer, but I don’t think baking is my thing. Plus, I really don’t have much of a sweet tooth.” She sped out of the kitchen with enough grace for it not to be called running, but close enough for concern, all while leaving the carnation confectionery abandoned on the table.
All the while, all Bridget could think was: “Since when does my Red not like sweets?” She supposed it could simply be Red growing up, but something certainly was off with her little rose.
