No hate to jimin, I love him to death, but I do find him quite boring too, music and stages aside cause they are always great. Hey! I hops life has been treating you well! And warning for a long and convoluted ask incoming (which is pretty par for the course for me). I’ve been going down a Yunho (U-Know Yunho to be precise lol) rabbit hole and I’m curious how you think he compares to other male SM solo artists especially Taemin (though I think it would be interesting to compare all SM solo artists like BOA or Taeyeon and Hyoyeon for the purpose of this ask im just thinking about the dudes). Cause I feel like him, Taemin, and Kai all fall on different ends of the same spectrum that’s distinct from some of the other SM solos like the other Exos (except I might add Baekhyun in there but I’m just not familiar enough with him) as they tend to tackle that darker sexier sound. I’ve been thinking about how when people say a male solo artists is making taemin lite music it’s usually actually closer to Yunho’s more recent stuff. Like taemin has kind of become short hand for dark male solo concept especially if it’s on the sexier or high concept side when that’s not always an accurate comparison. I’ve seen this especially with Wonho which is really interesting to me cause in my mind he falls way more on the Yunho end of the spectrum than Taemin (by like a long shot). And this could also be cause the kpop circles I run in are way less familiar with Yunho to make that comparison in the first place, I was just wondering if others like you that knew Yunho would agree with me. I also found it interesting that Taemin went solo before Yunho even though TVXQ are the older group so I wonder he affected Yunho’s music at all. Cause Yunho kind of seems like a more, I don’t want to say masculine, definitely more of a player, conventionally sexy foil to taemin’s more unhinged (satanic?? Fantasy? Horror-adjacent? I can’t really describe it accurately but I mean TVXQ has down their share of that too) sensual side and I can’t tell if it’s cause of the age difference between them, their group concepts (I mean TVXQ are the grown men of the kpop industry in my mind and I have no doubt they play a role in inspiring any “manly” or mature concept and Yunho’s concepts seems to follow pretty closely to TVXQ’s image in a way that Taemin doesn’t at all with Shinee), or their own artist personas and careers- taemin has always been viewed as the “feminine” one and you’ve talked a lot about how he’s both rejected and embraced that image overtime in his career. And to further complicate this I don’t really know where to put Kai between them cause he has the more overt sex appeal in Mmmh, and in his image over all, that Yunho has but also is more sensual and softer (subtle?) dance style that seems closer to taemin (or at least taemin’s image I’ll be the first to admit that my understanding of him as an artists doesnt always align with his actual output and the expectations I project on him) so I guess he goes in the middle. But peaches does really stand out as a sort of softer lighter storybook concept (which I love cause I feel like we don’t see traditional concepts that are more feel good) so that kind of throws a wrench into my theory and I guess thats what I get for treating artists’ output as a monolith and for comparing them😅. firstly, most people will make the taemin comparison for male soloist because he is significantly more well known as a soloist, and part of that is that he's famous for being a soloist; an extension of which is the disparity between his solo work and his group work. now there are two points i want to fork off into from here:

-> the first is that it's a flawed comparison to place yunho, taemin, and kai on a spectrum because they're not derivatives of each other in the way that a spectrum would imply; what they all are is derivatives of rain. every dance-based male soloist is, via some lineage, a descendant of rain, whether it's through the skills line (taemin) or the 'masculinity' line (yunho) or a mix (kai). baekhyun doesn't factor in here because he's almost purely rnb based and therefore a kangta derivative.

-> the second is that it is valid for people to be making that comparison to taemin because most younger idols are going to be using him as reference, and because a lot of these younger idols are following his method of creating a separate solo persona from their group. yunho does not have that distinction. he is quite literally the face of tvxq, and therefore inextricably bound to the group's identity because there are literally only two of them. if they were, for example, still a five member group, he might have had more a chance to diversify himself a bit, but that's a bygone point because we don't live in that world. the reason tvxq made it through the split and maintained being an extremely successful group is very likely because of yunho's singlehanded determination. obviously changmin does care about the group, but as we've seen with his solo work, he's much more of a musical chameleon; he's more focused on dabbling in widely different genres that interest him. yunho's solo music however, is pretty consistent in sound and also not all that surprising of a leap from who he is in tvxq. so by that observation, i would say there isn't actually a difference between uknow yunho and uknow the soloist. his artistic identity is tvxq, in a way that he can't separate, unlike how taemin can separate from shinee. and following that point through, no younger soloist can really be compared to him because his history and group image are so integral to what he does. that's why there's like a negative number of young idols that every attempt to cover a yunho song, bc the vibes of something like follow or thank u would OBLITERATE anyone under the age of 30.

if you were to look at just aesthetics and music styles, sure on the surface there are some younger idols that unintentionally skew more towards some of the stuff that yunho has done, but in the end that's because they're all under the rain umbrella.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha Ep 7 - The love triangle (and the bromance too) officially starts and Dusik’s past is slowly unraveling. Hyejin’s role in Dusik’s heart becomes more prominent.

After Dusik’s almost accident, Sunghyun was introduced to the neighbors. Sunghyun introduced himself and informed them that he’s filming a new food variety show that’ll feature Gonjin. Dusik asked how they knew each other and Hyejin said that they both went to college. Hyejin also asked how they each other, Dusik said that they met on the street and that them knowing each other is based on lies. Haha.

He seem to be popular among the older neighbors and finally went to Dusik and Hyejin’s spot at the table, Hyejin tells him that he was also popular back then in college. They started talking about their friendship and said its been 10 years since they last seen each other. Dusik started to feel left out and interrupted the reunion asking for him to explain certain things. Things finally settled due to misunderstanding and they both introduced themselves. I see a bromance coming along, this would be a problem. Hyejin and Sunghyun started talking what they’ve been up to especially the dental clinic she opened up, Dusik inserts himself in the convo and tells Sunghyun that he found and renovated that place himself. He’s becoming a third-wheeler at this point poor Dusik. Sunghyun asked if that’s how the 2 met and Hyejin didn’t really tell him the truth. A neighbor was being nosy teasing both Hyejin and Sunghyun. Hyejin doesnt like to be teased especially if it’s far from the truth so she excused herself for a early night, Dusik tells her that it never was a problem and wants him to shut up.

Sunghyun wants to accompany her going home, while Dusik likely jealous decided to step out of the restaurant and accompanied Hyejin home. Sunghyun and Dusik want to hang out together then they all went to Dusik’s house instead. Hyejin tells Dusik not to discuss anything that happened that night.

Sunghyun decided to ask Dusik to be his tour guide in town. They drink, do bets and games with referencing on actor Kim Seonho’s 2D1N variety program (I honestly didnt get the reference as i dont watch his variety show). It was very chaotic and all of them went to sleep after.

The next day, Dusik is officially the guide for Sunghyun’s production team for sightseeing Gongjin and their next stop is Gam-ri’s house. Songhyun intends on making the house the main shooting location so he brings all the team to her house. Sunghyun is trying to convince Gamri and asked for her permission to borrow her house for 7 days. He falls for the authenticity and the warmth of the house. But sadly, Gamri doesnt allow him to and tells him that it won’t work, despite Sunghyun being so persistent. That’s probably why his shows are so successful because he gets what he wants. Him allowing Gamri to have the time to think and leave her alone, eventually will come back. He also cannot think and work well with a empty stomach. We see his work ethic here. Looks like he eats too when he gets stressed.  

Dusik brings Sunghyun and his team to Ms. Yeo’s restaurant. They try a fish dish which brings both Dusik and Sunghyun to utter bliss, describing the flavors they tasted like a food critic. They both agree on the flavors and their bromance especially over food is in full force. The fish they ate is a wild fish-fresh from the sea that cost 100,000 won in Seoul. Ok i admit this scene was really funny, they were so dramatic over describing the fish like it’s heaven to them. After their meal they meet Hyejin and left right after. Sunghyun and Hyejin continues to talk before leaving, Hyejin mentions Dusik’s fees and he offers Sunghyun to discuss about it.

Dusik notices she sounds different while talking with Sunghyun and later mimicking her way of speaking. After his tummy is happily fed, Sunghyun suggests the whole team go shopping to the market where Dusik struggles to keep up with Sunghyun’s energy and childlike behavior when it comes to shopping. Ok i giggled at this. Sunghyun is like a ball of energy and Dusik acts like an old man.

This is just an extra stop before they all go back to Gamri’s house as presents. Sunghyun will bribe her with these in order to win her heart. So he got a plan. Gamri is not falling for his tricks, smart woman but Sunghyun kept insisting that he’s doing this as a repayment for her kindness to her. He keeps coming back and continues to assist Gamri like helping her lift heavy things, cleaning, continues giving her gifts and even fixing her broken lamp. Looks like Gamri is starting to warm up to him. After his constant visits he stops, Gamri is starting to look for him wondering where he is which ultimately gives some time for her to think before she could make a decision.

Later on, Gamri calls her granddaughter who resides in America for her studies. She happily talks to her and asks her to come to Gongjin for a visit where she will cook all the dishes she likes to eat. Sad to say, her  granddaughter won’t be coming home this holiday since she will be spending the holiday in California with her friends. I don’t like how her granddaughter prefers her friends over family shows her unselfishness, compared to Gamri who is so kind to others. Gamri is shown to be lonely and i thank Dusik for being so kind to her like a grandson.

Meanwhile, Sunghyun suddenly appears at the gate of Gamri’s house bringing a delicious cake. It’s been 5 days since his last visit which makes Gamri sulk. Gamri then offers him to stay and have dinner but he says that he plans on having dinner with his friend who is June the boyband member that Juri likes.

Gamri offers to cook them a delicious dinner in return for the cakes and they all enjoy dinner together. June thanks Gamri and tells that he misses having homecooked meals. Sunghyun added that as a kpop idol member he never stopped working since he was young. A disadvantage being a idol. Gamri shows her warmth by giving a piece of meat to his rice–a small gesture of affection. Dusik gets jealous Hahaha and Gamri tells him he’s grown up. I cracked up. Juri is having the time of her life hanging out with her favorite kpop idol.

After the meal, Sunghyun continues to offer his help to Gamri like to wash the dishes. Hyejin volunteers but Sunghyun tells her not to because of her back problem due to her car accident back in the day. Dusik didnt know about her back problem. This is new information.

Gamri is completely happy at this point and she expresses her happiness. It’s been a while she had a big meal at her house. It’s the liveliest moment she had at her house. This really warmed my heart. Gamri should have more happy moments. Dusik visits Gamri and Gamri tells him that Sunghyun can film at her house. She wants to feel less lonely and Dusik tells her he’s happy as long as she is. They continue to drink their milk together.

The next day, Hyejjin wakes up with Sunghyun’s surprising delivery of food like her favorites. They talked to each other over the phone and Sunghyun is curious and wondered what has she been up to over the 10 years.

Sunghyun is happy to see her living comfortably and happy. He then promises to treat her a proper meal when he’s not that busy and Hyejin agrees. Looks like Dusik will be out of the picture for a while when Sunghyun is around.

Later in the day, Dusik and Sunghyun stops by Gamri’s house. Sunghyun looks around the house and Dusik tells him that he’s not allowed to change anything. He also tells Sunghyun that he should ask Gamri anything first if he intends to make the slightest change on her house. Any without permission he has to return the house to her and even the damages that may happen are discussed to be added in the contract, as well as Gamri’s pay. Sunghyun ask if Dusik knows baseball. Sunghyun says that good pitchers dont throw a ball when they can, they have their energy and control with their power. The player throws the ball at full speed during a crucial moment. Is that a hint on what’s yet to come? He said that he’s like that and doesn’t sweat or stress over small things. Sunghyun finally brings up to Dusik if Hyejin is seeing anyone. Dusik has that change of expression on his face, you can see him close to tears. Dusik was silent for a moment, then responded that she’s not seeing anyone. Sunghyun said that it’s a relief. Dusik looks to him with mixed and pained expressions. I sorta felt bad for him at that moment. Like shit someone’s in the way now. What to do?

During the epilogue, we see Dusik being down and Hyejin drops by with a happy mood. They’re completely polar in terms of mood. Hyejin continues to joke around without understanding the environment’s mood. Hyejin tries to carry him back to his house. Dusik continues to look so broken and with a pained tone he tells her to not go and leave him behind.

Dusik better be quick as someone else who’s fast as a baseball player ready to swing for his pitch. If he doesn’t make the move, Sunghyun will.

Thoughts

I like how this drama focused on Gamri and Sunghyun. We get to know them more with this episode. Also tbh with everyone. I do not like Seonho’s acting. I think Seonho when he's plain and the typical conversational scenes he's very weak but can improve. But i would like to point out when he does crying scenes that’s what he does best. He emoted Dusik’s heartache and pain very well at the epilogue, at that moment you would feel bad for him.

AAAAA URI BOOOOO YES OGMNGGNV i ult boo seungkwan FUN FACT even tho i never write for him because he’s like. he’s my best friend. i love him. lets get it

so seungkwan is an enfp, which is the campaigner! this is another personality type that makes a really good leader (there’s so many in svt omg) and if i remember right, cheol has said if it wasn’t him, he would want boo to be leader! despite being one of the youngest members in seventeen, he is incredibly skilled and a really good teacher, and he is REALLY strong in communication. there’s that video of him leading a vocal team practice, and you can really tell he knows how to bring out the best in people. jeonghan hits a note and seungkwan’s like “see! i told you you could do it! why did you hesitate??” and jeonghan like shy giggles and it just shows that he knows exactly how to encourage and praise people in the way that they will be receptive to. this comes from his extroverted intuition, which means that he is good at like. abstract thinking. he sees things for what they can be, not for what they are. this links to being super creative! seungkwan is one of the members with several writing credits on the svt discography, and you can tell by the way he just randomly belts out runs (seokmin does this also lol) that he’s always thinking about new melodies.

enfps focus on relationships a lot, whether its between people, situations, or ideas. he makes connections that other people wouldn’t, thanks to his abstract thinking! but he’s also kinda stubborn - he’s someone who thinks that his values and morals are correct and is unwilling to budge. i think the reason he really stands by his values tho is because enfps tend to overthink everything, so he truly TRULY believes that he’s in the right!! because he spends SO MUCH TIME thinking about EVERYTHING that he’s like... there’s no way i’m wrong (meEEE)

he follows his heart! his decision making has less to do with logic and more to do with how he feels about the situation. enfps also work through stuff out loud, which is why seungkwan seems rambly sometimes - he needs to hear his own logic out loud in order to fully process it and then comes to a decision by the time he’s done explaining! but his gut feeling is REALLY GOOD like he has a strong feeling so it’s smart tht he uses it! his ability to see things as what they might be make him really good at problem solving. ex. mafia games! the mafia always tries to kill seungkwan first, and it’s because he always observes what everyone is doing and says stuff that worries the mafia - he makes himself a target by being too smart, and he knows it (which is why he begged shua to save him in the first round during don’t lie 1). i think he’s better at interpersonal problem solving vs. logic puzzles - he’s not bad at them, but he’s better at reading behavior and noticing changes in patterns.

enfps can seem really serious or like. “high stakes” a lot of the time (it’s because they care so much haha), but they know when to let loose. seungkwan always encourages everyone to have the most fun during breaks, or during ttt!! when they were scream singing psy and twice DHSKSD he’s also EXTREMELY enthusiastic - he literally puts his everything into anything he tries. he does everything like rent’s due KEFJFHSKD i think it’s so admirable!!! but the reason he’s able to do that even in front of people he doesnt know is because he’s so extroverted. he’s super personable and friendly, and people seem to get along with him really easily. every time he’s on a show as a guest, the hosts LOVE him. him and jaejae are literally iconic together like I LOVE THEMMMM i think we can all relate to him because of how excited he gets about things. like he’s such a fanboy. wonderful king! as a fellow wonderful, we stan. that’s why he gets good recognition as professor boo!!! even fans of other groups go and watch his vlives because he has such genuine fan knowledge of kpop through the ages. hes enthusiasm is UNMATCHED!

svt is so full of empathetic people like. damn. seungkwan is really good about giving advice (thanks to his problem solving skills and the fact that he thinks about how things can be instead of how they are), but he’s an extremely attentive listener. like dino said in the kelly clarkson video, seungkwan is really good about checking up on people when they’re going through a hard time.

ok thi sis getting long so speedround: he’s kinda disorganized. he really cares about health and tries to keep up but i think he loses shit like constantly because there’s just too much JFSDKF. his emotions overwhelm him really quickly (usually anger FDHSKH). he seeks approval a lot, which means he gets really nervous when he’s around people he really idolizes (ex. when him and mingyu were on omniscient manager and he looked constipated).

I think the homophobia and heteronormativity in kpop isn't called out enough. Yet, its very present. The hypocrisy of fanservice is really disgusting.

Imagine how toxic this industry might be for lgbtq idols. Your queerness is only acceptable when it is used for ships, when fans can fetishize it. Coming out is impossible. Acting like yourself outside the ships is not allowed. And I think thats what hurt the most. Seeing fans screaming when you shake your ass on your bandmate but knowing you won't receive such positive reactions if you confess you have feelings for the same sex.

Your identity is a joke for them. Acting gay is funny, being gay not all.

Then you have to sit through interviews asking you which member you would date if they were the opposite sex. And you can't respond because you wouldnt be attracted to them if they are not the same sex as you.

I am ranting because I really like Taehyung and what happened to him is really sad. And I am sure it happened to a lot of idols. And it illustrates so well what I am talking about.

You write a song. A romantic one with a christmas theme. A reminder that christmas is more couple-based holiday than a family one in South Korea. You want to sing the song with one of your bandmate. The lyrics is written in a way that it sounds like you're singing to each other so the producer of the agency refuses you sing with your bandmate because the lyrics doesnt fit 2 men.

That's homophobia. Thats micro-homophobia that most people completly don't even notice. He is not allowed to express his feelings because romanticism is only between a man and a woman, huh? The only time gay is allowed is to entertain the public.

He was clearly hurt by this comment. He talked about it twice in 2 different vlives. What makes it sadder is the lack of reactions from fans. Especially from international ones who seems to be more open-minded. He couldnt properly smile when he talks about it and his motivation to finish the song decreased so much. At the end of the day, he said he would turn it into a song for the fans. Personally, if this song comes out one day I won't be able to enjoy it. And I think it would be selfish for fans to enjoy and be happy that its now a fansong when we know the reason behind it. That's being as horrible as the producer.

Yes! honestly I can't imagine what but I know jun/the8/joshua are going to be up to some fantastic stuff while everyone else is away. I feel like if they do it in either two batches or even just one it would be best. I'm on the newer side to kpop so I don't really know all the bands that have enlisted and stuff but I got to know Shinee just this year post-enlistment and I realized how historic of a group they are, how there was no way they wouldn't still be popular post enlistment (and they have one more serving right now). And gather new fans like me even AFTER a big break. I hope Seventeen becomes that kind of historic (???: Let's go down in history) so that there's no question they survive enlistment. I know some other groups have gone and done it in rotation and so on, but idk if anyone has survived the lull with flying colors like Shinee did. I hope Seventeen is the next one to do it as well as Shinee.

My sister has been into kpop much longer than me and she used to really like BTS, and she said she used to love looking forward to BTS Run, but it all went downhill eventually. I think Seventeen really was lucky to meet people like 현석이 형 and 은송 누나 (like anybody who looks at 96's zodiac sign and decides they're going to make a whole challenge out of turning them into mice, those are people I can trust) and likewise the production team is lucky to meet a group like Seventeen who are down to do anything and are committed to the comedy. I guess that's one of the big reasons I am a pledis-supporter carat, just looking back at how much budget Pledis poured into hiring the production team for a literal variety show that doesn't have anything to do with the music (barely), like you said, and then it paying off within half a year, that's a company I can get behind.

Oh boy GoSe was so fun today. The opening was killer with them all just flopping into the field. And the highlights for me were definitely The8 and Jun being sleeper comedians like always and Woozi being especially cute and sensitive that day haha. There are some times when he's just chillin and happy (like Don't Lie 2) and sometimes he's like 에이! and starts fighting in his high-toned voice lol. It's so funny like all of vocal team sings in high voices but most of them have normal speaking voices except for Woozi, he actually has a high tone in his voice. 관장님! 감사합니다! also while it seems like GoSe production team cannot be beaten in terms of old variety show references, they constantly fail to identify old (not even that old) music references that SVT makes. Winter! Even if I’ve never experienced snow or winter before, the whole idea of snow is just really fun and endearing to me. One of my bucketlists is to see snow in real life. I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve always been this person to prefer the cold over heat.

I’ve always been here! Just not in kpop tumblr. I’ve since deleted my old accounts and shame  but i came back to write. It’s always been so stress-relieving to me, to write without any expectations on my back because I’m thinking about grades or a competition. Also Soobin simping is a daily thing and I gotta release it somewhere man

are you happy with where you are in life right now? why or why not?

Yes. I may not be the richest or the prettiest, or smartest or whatever, but I have a good family that loves me. I have good friends that support me and I have TXT and BTS to help me cope when things get overwhelming. I have a job that gives me a little bit of income (it’s not too common for college students here to get jobs like in the US, most of them just focus on acads) and all the means to continue my education amidst the pandemic. So really, I’m grateful for where I am now.

i do NOT have a plot in mind for this one ... its only on the list bc his team and the title of this fic came super easy MNFSDFS

in this scene tho, the readers pokemon are addicted to a drug called X that acts as steroids but for pokemon? theyre based off of real items ingame known as battle items or “x items”,, a fic from the original kpop ver of this series dealt with them and once i started writing i realized i could loop that back into this scene but??? 

he should have known.

scratch that--he did know, does know, but chose not to act.

when he sees you outside the arena, eyes red and puffy, he knows what he should do. “kei.” your voice comes out tiny. broken. strange, he thinks, to see someone so bright begin to flicker out. “my aerodactyl…” there are three pokeballs in your hands where there were once four. aerodactyl fetch a heavy price in the black market. he wonders if the price of selling your pokemon managed to even do a dent in your debt.

(an aerodactyl addicted to X is not an aerodactyl worth the premium cost. it is what it is, he resolves, forcing the thoughts away. he knows that suspended within the other three pokeballs are three more damn near helpless causes. the most helpless of all is right in front of him, after all.)

they always warn about the dangers of drinking, but none of those warnings ever seem to include the possibility of summoning a demon after three shots too many.

it was rlly hard to write angst for this tbh its more of a fluff/humor (???) kinda fic in my head

there are a few Angsty Ideas going on in this one but i feel like none of them get fully explored but then again .. its 200ish words

“so this is it.” you hate to say it, but you’ve been dreading the thirtieth day of september. you’d blown it off at first, saying that it marked winter drawing ever closer. you rationalized it, saying that you were sick and tired of halloween being marketed outside of october.

but standing before kuroo now, you know that there’s only one reason you want time to stop. “yeah. you gonna miss me?”

“in your dreams,” you lie.

“you mean my nightmares,” he grins, the tip of his fangs poking his lip. “believe it or not, i’ll miss this place. you always did stock the best flavors of chips.” he holds his palm to his chest, giving you a nod you’re sure would be earnest coming from anyone else.

“well then…” he bows low, “i’ll be off. see you around.” he disappears in a flash of flame, the scent of smoke clinging to your skin. no sentimentality. no tearful goodbye.

you wonder if you were alone in this relationship for two all along, that you had made everything up because he had been a convenient target.

Like you said, all of them have mentioned girls in their debut bc its expected from kpop artists but I dont really remember several instances of tae saying that. The problem with fandom is that it spreads a lot of preformed ideas about members, like Th being the stranger or Yg not being loving and all. And many fans read this and believe it as if it were law, as if saying the opposite was a crime, that's why I think live TK shocked so much, many fans refuse to see that the guys have changed over the years. Th and Jk have changed a lot from 2013 to today, but most of the fandom seems to ignore it :(

It would be nice if more fans would appreciate the boys, Jk and Th have matured so much. Jk is much more obvious, because although he still provokes hyungs a lot he is now much softer, but open and sweet. Looking at Jk makes me happy, because he is a material of impeccable growth, looking at him makes me proud. The same for Th, difficult to say for everything that made him change, but obviously his pattern of behavior has changed a lot and this is natural, we have changed a lot from 18 to 24year

I call this: I’m not relevant or knowledgeable enough to make posts but I just want everyone to treat each other with kindness

I’ve had to rewrite this because I accidentally deleted the first one... it’s probably for the best I got a little emotional.

Anywho I’m going to start this by saying I am in no way talking down on anyone I know people express themselves differently and A post like this can make it seem like I believe more highly of myself than others but I don’t, I’ve been that person who is a cynical asshole who makes everyone around them feel utterly miserable but I’ve learnt through people that I’ve met and things that I’ve seen that life is better when you’re kinder and happier and look for the best in situations. I’ve learnt from Harry himself a phrase that I’ll live by for the rest of my life, a phrase that has bettered my life overall and made me into a person that I’m happy with and I love myself a lot more than I used to. I’m only 18 and I have a lot to learn and experience but for now I’m content with myself.

This last week has really shown me an ugly side to people that Im honestly shocked by. It started with some things I saw on twitter regarding the Dolan twins fathers death, im not super into the Dolan twins I know who they are but I don’t watch their videos, however this is still utterly disturbing to me and it should be for any sane person. There were people who were making fun of it to promote their favourite kpop bands and that just left me feeling horrible and sad. Then came those people who were trying to attend the funeral itself like it was some opportunity to meet their idols and those people didn’t even see anything wrong with what they were doing. Disgusting.

Then came the babygate drama that we all know so well and we’re all sick of, I personally don’t beleive babygate I think it’s horrible and the people who think that babygate is best case scenario need to rethink their morals. It’s a horrible theory that, if it were real, has ruined so many people’s lives including the child itself. If babygate were real I most likely would stop actively supporting louis and his career because it’s such a scummy thing to do and be a part of. Just because you don’t like the idea of louis or Harry being with other people doesn’t mean you have to scare off every single person they get close to, it’s their business let them live. People would rather believe that louis’ own biological father is the actual father (yes this is something someone said) than believe that louis just got high, forgot to wrap it and trap it, and as a result accidentally conceived a child, this is someone that happens so often it’s not unheard but what is unheard of is a celebrity faking their own child for 3 years who coincidentally looks exactly like him. It really shows that people don’t tend to practice what they preach, there are people on this site who have “treat people with kindness” in their bio’s but as soon as someone disagrees with them they start throwing insults left right and centre. Recently there was someone with an apauling attitude I’m sure you all saw, they are a huge advocate for babygate and have made so many rediculous theories, which I don’t have a problem with we all make our own theories everything that has ever been said about Larry has been purely theories, but when you bring in the people in Harry and louis’ lives like their families and just insult them like you know more than they do, the people who actually know louis in real life and know his life, that’s when it becomes a problem. When you treat your theories like they are 100% the truth that’s when I have a problem, and then justifying your behaviour by saying it’s all public information that is already out there on the internet. That doesnt change the fact that it’s still rude and disrespect. Your maturity really shows when you counter and argument or criticism by insulting the person who criticised you and then turn the argument into them. I sent them a little message in hopes that they would read it and reflect on it and show some empathy or at the very least think about what I said. (However I recently found out they just blocked me and didn’t read it at all.) I’m going to post what I said here and kind of direct it in general to people who don’t see a problem with some of the gross things they post and people who chose to actively insult others online.

People sometimes forget that Harry and louis are real people. Some people treat them like they are characters in a movie who don’t have real feelings or real families, friends and loved ones. Larry to me is about celebrating a special love that is greater than any other, the fact that something that’s all about love has created some of the most hateful people is disappointing. I just wish that in the future we can realise that not everyone is going to have the same opinions but that is no reason to insult someone. I also hope that people start to actually treat people with kindness and practice what they preach. Sometimes people don’t meet people who can impact their life and bring out their best qualities but people in the 1d fandom don’t have that excuse, Harry styles is a wonderful role model who has pretty much shaped me as a person. He preaches and practices kindness and people admire and respect him for it and I hope that someone reads this one day and this can change them.

I’m aware that this is quite a pathetic thing to address, I’m an 18 year old who loves 1d an alarming amount and who is currently spending her free time (which is a lot as I’ve just finished school) talking about a relationship that may or may not be real and ranting about how gross the internet can be, but I just want everyone to see that kindness is a virtue, it’s something that people admire and find desirable in other people. So to the 4 people who may see this please, please please be kind and gentle with one another everyone deserves kindness. Treat people how you want to be treated and love one another.
