ok lowkey....im on 'secret project is tv show/phodcast/similar form of entertainment' hill...i still think a tour so soon after wad (which again lost them money apparantly) is unlikely tho ill be v happy if it is a tour - but rewatching the livestream and dan talks about how the gaming chanell is such 'light, sitting on our ass content'. before mentioning the secret project....which i guess a tour technically is also content but it feels weird to refer to it like that. also wasnt dapg called project x before it was announced? were any of the tours called project anything?? anyways basically i think it's some kind of new content along those lines however a tour (or phard phaunch if theres still hard launch truthers out there) would also be such vibes

you know what's confusing. they've raised a question of a new dnp tour at least twice in the last 4 months. god forbid it was more than twice, and my memory is failing me. edit: it was 3 times. but if i remember correctly, it was during wad premiere and ywgttn event in London, + ywgttn Bath. so their dnpg viewers don't really know that the tour is in their minds? (if i'm forgetting dnp mentioning it on dnpg, please, yell at me. a mention during gamingmas was too fucking vague.) my point is, we know they know we want a tour. and that's why we keep thinking that we may get it every time they are talking about a new project. but realistically, it's too soon, yes. wad isn't over, and Dan needs to close that chapter before opening a new one.

on the other hand, strike while the iron is hot. and i'm not sure if the audience is gonna be there in a year or two. i'm not sure if dnp as a brand is gonna be there in two years. it all depends on content, its intensity, and their side solo shenanigans. so, i get why they would want to rush it. also, the goddamn anniversaries are this year.

i can't answer if their tours were called "project something" before. with tatinof idk, with ii i legit don't remember how they announced it and what the vibes were like a month before.

Being back on the fmab train is a mood. I restarted watching a few months ago and really should watch more now that I'm thinking about it. (Also need to find out where to watch fma '03 while i save up enough money to buy the dvd set)

Ooh I also kinda wanna watch 03 again. It's actually the first one I saw, but the end depressed me so much I haven't watched it again lol. Not fully at least, just some of the good scenes once or twice (5th labratory, Greed's death... even the Nina episode hits just a bit harder in 03 I feel). I have forgotten quite a bit of the plot tho so it has crossed my mind to watch it fully again too. I suddenly had the mighty need to write about Ed kicking Palpatine's ass tbh. And then the ball got rolling and I have something of a fic planned now. It has been so fun to think about how Ed would react to the sw universe and all the bullshit that's going on there. I think that there's potential for lots of chaos. And, of course, some whump going on as well. Because let's be real, it's still me😂 I don't know if it'll ever get to posting phase, because this thing has the potential to become very long, and I don't want to put the pressure on myself to actually finish it. But we'll see where it goes! So far I'm having fun, even just imagining what he could fuck up hahaha. i saw your aot take and i agree with the lesson you take abt not hating anyone, it but i gotta ask, since it's not really a "fact" that eren is historia's baby daddy, why would you want that to be the case or how would that even change anything if he was? what purpose would that serve, esp given how he never thinks abt his supposed baby mama and kid, never brings it up once not even to armin, and admits he likes another girl? and the kids actually daddy gets to be a normal dude who isnt a mass murder? i just cant see how ppl could want that so badly when it doesnt really seem like who her baby daddy is serves the purpose of the narrative at all. i also cant see historia and eren being intimate with each other after her telling him abt his genocide... he looks disinterested about her upset feelings and she looks scared tbh. i dont think eren needs to procreate with anyone. that's why i'd like to know from your perspective why him being the dad would be so important to you when it's all abt historia's choice. it seems people just wanted eren to have sex

I get what you’re saying and I respect that and agree with you thinking canonically.

Honestly I just think they would make a great pair, even since they were kids they always sympathized with each other and I just liked them in a relationship way. A little headcanon for me. I don’t actually know how rooted the fandom is into this idea since I’m new to the AOT universe.

Being more detailed about what goes on in my head with this thing not knowing what anyone else thinks about this:

I’m a firm believer Eren had a close relationship with his mom and because of that he always wanted to have his own family. So him having a kid with Historia is his way of achieving that. His little way of saying look I was here and I have descendants. But this is not something he could do with Mikasa because she’s too precious in his eyes for carrying a mass murderer’s baby. I never thought about it in a way of Eren having sex before sacrificing himself, I don’t care about that in particular.

Obviously it is Historia’s choice so maybe I just don’t like her having a baby and a family with someone who bullied her even if it was so long ago. Since we know her past wasn’t the best and I love her I just can’t stand someone who hurt her now sharing a bed with her. I’m confident Eren would treat her right and would care for her. If him being with Mikasa wasn’t an actual thing and Eren lived or whatever, I would wish for him to be with a caring and nice person, Historia specifically.

Believe me I love Eren with Mikasa and I got to ship them even tho in the beginning I thought it was a bit odd because they were almost like siblings since they shared a childhood home and all. I love how honest and vulnerable he was about his feelings for her, we don’t see that everyday.

The reason I’m putting these thoughts out there is because I’m rewatching AOT and I plan on reading the manga soon to get my thoughts more clear about everything in the story. I feel like I never watched it because just now realize so many things and it’s just crazy the amount of parallels and foreshadowings.

project 16!

16 and a half hour. this project took me 16 and a half hours and i think i want to bash my head into a wall. not because its bad or anything i actually quite like it! but. i started this and thought itd be a 6 hour project. surely only 6 hours. no. 16 and a half hours. this does not look like 16 and a half hours. and yet? and yet it is! i am going insane! i am being taken into the spiral much like the lusidius. 16 and a half hours.

ANYWAYS made a hammock! as i make more things i realized i needed a more permanent and better place to hold all my items so just kinda winged a hammock! i am gonna be messing with placement for the next forever because m not totally happy with the bottom right. i may add a string to that corner so i have a longer anchor somewhere else so i like it more but eh! now we shall see if it actually holds up or if it sucks and i gotta reinforce all the corners.

fun fact! theres about 7 color changes in this because i was winging it with scrap yarn! i wish i coulda planned this better so that stripe of orange and brown was in the center but oh well!

SEASON THOUGHTS SO FAR

i dont even know how to go about this. so. last we left off it was the end of episode 11! i now have exactly one hour and 12 minutes left to the season! i am on episode 16!!!!!!!!! 16!!!!!!!!!!! ive loved every second of this. the twists have been so interesting and so beautifully hinted at that on a rewatch i know m gonna point and yell at things because oh!!!! thats what that means!!! you fucker!!!! i am so so enchanted and endeared to this cast. thiago isnt dead yet!!! thats fun!!! thats cool!!! hes currently asking for a cigarette [02:26:34] because hes probably gonna die right after i hit play on the rest of this episode!!! m not gonna be okay but its fine!

but then again, guys like tsukishima and kageyama don’t need to pretend they didn’t know your birthday because they truly didn’t until hinata brought it up to them (don’t take it too personally tho lmao)

speaking of which, hinata almost spoiled the surprise for you if yachi wasn’t there to distract you 💀

despite being the second year’s idea to throw this surprise party for you, it’s primarily the third years doing all the work since tanaka and nishinoya don’t know how to organize a party for shit

poor kiyoko is actually doing all the work while daichi and asahi are putting up decorations with the help of the first years (tsukishima had to be forced tho smh)

yamaguchi and yachi seem like the types to overthink what to get you for a birthday present, probably going all out while kageyama would just buy you your favorite drink and snack from the vending machine near the gym literally five minutes before the surprise

and since the surprise party was being held in the gym after practice, everyone had to hurry and clean up before setting out all the decorations. and can i just say, it’s chaotic™️

yachi had to distract you for a good ten minutes by asking you to walk all the way towards the other end of campus to ‘get something’ that didn’t exist in the first place

meanwhile in the gym, the second years were in charge of taking down the volleyball net to replace it with a badly homemade painting with tanaka’s messy ass handwriting wishing you a happy birthday

the third years and first years as mentioned before were setting up decorations, hanging up streamers, setting out balloons, and handing out party poppers

with kiyoko, takeda-sensei, and ukai set out a table for sugawara to place the cake he made for you (which it almost fell cause ennoshita bumped into him)

hinata was also on the lookout if you and yachi were nearby

and when you were, he shout so loudly that even you heard down the hall

finishing up any last minute details, the team sets out their presents for you with their party poppers in hand before shouting, “SURPRISE!!”

it’s all fun and games until nishinoya accidentally released confetti at your face by accident

in the morning, you’d find kenma and kuroo waiting outside your house so they can walk the birthday celebrant to school, plus they had bags in their hands to which you assume were presents for you

it was then did you realize that you were going to get more throughout the day after kuroo mentioned how he told the team that it was your birthday

there was something embarrassing and a bit cringey being showered with attention for your birthday, especially at school, but you still appreciated the team’s efforts

throughout the day, people would notice the gifts in your hands and would wish you a happy birthday, definitely causing a stir in the school when yaku, lev, and yamamoto burst into your classroom to shout happy birthday

while yamamoto is literally showering you with birthday wishes and presents, lev would give you a cute plushie of your favorite animal along with a little cake

No. At work, we are not enough employees and we’re all students, I can’t take an off day for a tv show. For school, we’ll I’m at uni so I don’t have classes 9-5 anyway but school classes come first (now studying and essays… that’s another thing lol)

I was always fond of Once Upon a December, and yesterday out of boredom I watched the movie and bOI rewatching the scene where the MC imagines themselves in a ballroom gave me so much f o o d 👀

Imagine Traveller! Reader, also like the MC lost her memories of her past and now she's living the best of her life in Teyvat ignorant of the world's dark secrets and such. One day while she was out to pick some Dandelions, some pet of hers probs similar to a seelie suddenly darted away and Y/N ran to catch up. Then suddenly the seelie something went inside the ruins (like in stormterror's lair?) and the moment Y/N was somewhat in the vicinity she heard THIS:

It was kinda... Surreal, 𝐸𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 perhaps? (words fail me) and the moment the piano became profound she kNEW this tune would lead her home cuz its the very tune she vaguely remembers that is linked to her past. Probs involved with family and everything so she bolted towards the sounds (she didnt question how and where the Seelie disappeared)

Suddenly the ruins or lair became this hallway from a palace/tower? She knows that tune LEADS her somewhere tho thus she kept running towards it desperate to find answers. It lead her to this heavy, large double door and when opened, leads to a ballroom with blue figures (which are actually ghosts but the hazy visage the atmosphere was made them look a little real and blended into the haziness) and the dancers waltzing with their partners were singing. Reader was overjoyed and 'greeted' anyone she can reach as they merely wave and made short polite responses not noticing how echo-y and a little weird their figures were. She found herself wearing a gown all of a sudden and being pulled to waltz with men she cant recognize. She continued to dream and waltz as she sang her heart out on the lyrics before she was partnered lastly with a boy her age. They had a kind smile and as Y/N stared deeply into his eyes she became enamored as they waltzed around. The more enamored she was, the more the world around her turned hazier and hazier and its like they were inside the eye of a storm and were surround by tornado like winds circling them as the music grew louder and louder until Reader can't distinguish reality from dreams.

But as the music slowly died down, the boy she previously danced with, suddenly turned into Aether as he sang the second to the last line (that iNVOLVED FAMILY) "...and a song someone sings~" like magic mist appeared and swirled around Reader and once she inhaled them she slowly lost consciousness and the room returned back to its original state; stormterror's lair.

The Prince of the Abyss murmured to himself as the abyss mages and heralds that were once the ghosts of the people waltzing in her hazy dream watched as Aether muttered aloud: "Princess..." (foreshadowing Reader will bECOME the abyss princess) "I have finally reunited with you, dearest sister.."

(And then cue Venti having a panic attack not being able to find Reader which unbeknownst to him was kidnapped)

but no I cannot stop because I have mANY MORE ENDINGS IN THIS:

#2: just as the sky was painted with radiant yellows and oranges Venti's mouth ran dry; there was a sinking feeling in his chest something is terribly wrong and whatever it is he needs to find it. As soon as he realized his beloved reader was missing Venti was bolting out to where the winds where leading him as he was having a panic attack trying to strain his ears with any sound any 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 that his sweetheart is nearby, then it lead him to stormterror's lair and bolted inside; and just as he did winds suddenly enveloped stormterror's lair and for some reason he cant control it; it was against abiding its own will but Venti couldnt even do or think much before a melodic voice he so desperately wanted to find was right above the floors he's in and he made a mad dash to the stairs and found several abyss mages surrounding you with... Aether? His blood went cold the moment Aether lifted his hand pushed him away, and called your name over and over again, cupping your face as he cried. The moment you blinked and saw him Venti cried in relief and gave you a death hug only for Aether to interrupt and remind them that theyre still not safe.

#3: (YANDERE VENTI WARNING) Instead of Aether, maybe VENTI was the one that played that tune to lure you in; it was all part of his plan. The moment you stepped in his vicinity your dream became more vivid as you spotted him and the two of you waltzed together. But similarly, just the music seemed to die down, the mists/winds kissed you and you fell into Venti's arms just as he hummed and trapped you inside this lair in a blissful sleep in which you can only wake up as he so desires

CONCLUSION: I had a major big brain moment with Venti hope yall enjoyed it as much as I did 👉👈

Now that I only have the final season of house left, I'm planning on starting to watch doctor who next. And when I finish criminal minds (I'll be an emotional wreck) I think I'll start the x files (I'm in s11 of cm rn)! So I got everything covered, I'm really really excited for doctor who though I've been hearing so much about it for years and it sounds amazing!!!!

*on a not related note it's been a while since I last watched gossip girl I finished s1 but I haven't started s2, maybe I'll go back I just wanted to let u know I couldn't commit :')

It's ironic that I'm planning on starting all these shows and reading so many books when in a month and a half I'll be starting my senior year (which is a very very big deal to the point where it actually sets the course of your life depending on your grades, so I'm doing my best to enjoy this month of freedom I have before I just stop doing all living activities except for studying, it's gonna be a long year especially that I'm planning on getting the highest grades I could so I can get into a decent college and major in a field of studies of my choosing!!)

Sooooo whatya think of the new episodeee?

Oh it’s definitely my favorite episode of the series so far, i was having such a good time at every turn. I’m glad i went out of my way to avoid spoilers, cause i was glad to actually be surprised by some elements on first watch.

I think this had by far the best opening for an episode so far, we finally get back to the villians, we meet the coven heads, we get insight on belos’s plans-

and then belos gets constipated, which starts getting into the more character driven lore, which is the best part. You instantly can tell GG and Kiki have some bit of tension between them to be Belo’s favorite, though granted i wonder if hunter is the only one to know belos is cursed and actually just always insists to help belos with his fits to prevent others from seeing them.

Including kiki.

It’s honestly unclear how aware anyone is that belos is cursed, like him eating pailsmans is apparently not something he hides, but like....i feel him being cursed is something that people would know universally if it got out...so i’m left wondering if anyone knows besides hunter.

Regardless, belos turns into a goop monster with an angry side, and i guess his mask doesn’t transform with him compared to the rest of his body so he breaks it again because i guess he goes though masks like crazy.

Hunter turns away in this scene from his outburst and even though he’s masked here i can already tell he’s most likely pained in these scenes. Like he’s probably seen this happen so many times, and i can’t imagine it gets any easier for him, it’s probably awful to watch belos suffer like this for him (Regardless of the abuse)

And to be honest, it seems pretty painful for him, i think this ep seems to at least confirm whatever this thing is that takes over belos’s body.....belos never actually wanted it in the first place. 

Yeah so after Hunter tells belos there’s not enough trees to medicate him anymore, we’re hit with the “UNCLE”. Which, when i first watched it i needed a second to even process the fact they confirmed their relation.

and i was like “CLOSE ENOUGH”, not his kid but uncle still works just fine for me, i’m just happy my assumption they were related actually came to ahead.

And i rewatched this episode a few times, and on second watch i realized more what happened in this scene. Hunter was talking about his interest in wild magic, and making more pailsman to help belos, and some method that could heal him and as soon as belos looked at him he instantly shut down.

He was clearly rambling about wild magic cures for belos because of his interest in it, and then suddenly remembered his uncle hates wild magic and felt super awkward.

It seems highly likely his interest in wild magic came from trying to cure belos and spending a lot of time reading up on the stuff. 

And then we get hit with the whole “Our family is dead because of wild magic” line, which.....i’m curious to know what happened there. But it does at least explain why belos feels how he does, if wild magic both killed his family beside hunter AND cursed him in the first place. We’re just gonna need more info on what exactly happened.

Also while Belos is def abusive and does not treat hunter how he should, this scene actually does read off to me like belos does care about hunter to some degree. If belos is cursed and his curse works in similar ways to how Eda’s curse works, then it’s worth reminding ppl that eda mentions early this season how stress can amplify the curse even more.

And sure enough, belos goes goopy on hunter’s shoulder all of a sudden when he grasps him. Which could be considered a sign of stress and that the idea of hunter dying or being in danger actually does stress him.

You could very much also assume this is just due to his curse not being fully handled and just getting worse, or that belos only cares about hunter for selfish reasons....but i’m not taking anything off the table here.

Belos can still be a shitty uncle, and still care about hunter, these aren’t mutually exclusive traits. But we need more episodes for now on this.

But anyways he asks hunter if he can rely on him, kiki is pissed......and we move on.

So i’m glad luz’s impulsiveness is addressed a ton in this episode, they actually bring up a lot of good points. That luz has no plan, that the time she’s spending here might render moot if she goes back to earth, ect ect.

Hunter even calls her out a lot later for not thinking things through, it’s a whole deal in this episode. I’m glad it was brought up cause it’s actually worth asking a lot of these things.

the set up here works, they actually made a good reason for why a pailsman didn’t bond with her. Speaking of which the adoption thing is cute and i love it, it’s a great idea. The designs are all very cute and fun.

Bump face reveal was a lot for me to process, but i find the idea of his pailsman being a pet that can help with his disabilities a good idea.

Also like, i did find it odd that they got staffs so early because we’ve never seen kids their ages with them before, but i guess it’s a new tradition? Does everyone at hexside now have one?

Honesty not sure why batqueen left the nest there overnight, i meant i guess she assumed they were safe with that shield but in context i dunno why she didn’t take them home after the school day was over.

but whatever, luz stays there overnight hoping  a pailsman will bond with her and GG just kidnapps them cause of pure luck on his part a bunch of pailsman were in a vulnerable spot tonight.

So GG continues to be charming, by whistling the theme song and then being blasted off his ship hilariously, before cockily teleporting himself right back on it seconds later. Like he and luz have great banter, he’s so extra like this it’s so funny, and god he’s so FAST with that staff it’s scary but so awesome.

Yeah so then hand dragon crashes them and i was so excited cause it meant face reveal. Poor dude looked so in pain and then we find out kiki tried to effing murder him because of course she did. But like, i think killing your boss’s nephew is the WORST way to get a promotion tbh.

(Also i got confused for a bit cause his mask has always been drawn as a mask, but now it’s a helmet in this scene for whatever reason but-)

Anyways, face reveal, Like honestly ppl weren’t too far off with their guesses, really the only thing people didn’t get was the tooth gap (That was fair tho, we couldn’t have guessed that). But it did make him even cuter.

like the banter is funny, he licks her hand, she slaps him, he looks SO pissed at her for this mess.

and i guess that outfit is his under armor apparently.

He’s lucky she didn’t run away immediately and followed him, but maybe he assumed she would since she had no where else to go.

Also his expressions in this ep are glorious, these had to be fun to draw.

Also we find out that the coven team members have never seen his face i guess? They just assume he’s a silly kid and are awful to him, so i guess he’s not only the youngest member of the coven but he never really shows his face much.

(”Call your parents”, ha ha.....whose gonna tell them who his uncle is?)

He is however, REALLY good at parkour and he’s fast even without his staff, so he’s well trained alright.

And then they reveal he’s not magical and i was SO happy cause i was so sure something was up when he wasn’t doing magic like the other witches despite his pointy ears. So they outright confirmed what i thought.

Hunter is pretty smart tho, like he can tell luz wouldn’t hurt him and wouldn’t flee so he knows he has the high ground here. Like he might be being a bit of a dick, but to be fair luz has been nothing but a dick to him throughout the whole episode (Everyone in this episode has been a dick to him tbh)

They team up and i get excited cause i love this kinda stuff and it gets more wholesome because hunter is super interested in her magic, he thinks it’s cool and you can tell how much he actually loves wild magic but then again...shuts himself down because of belos making him fear the stuff.

An then because luz asks, he tells her his backstory.

honestly with how this world treats people who aren’t magically powerful, living and growing up in a world that would find you useless sounds....awful. Hunter must be an anomaly around here, human blood or not.

Luz coming here to learn is different then growing up in a world and being the only one with no abilities and no future without them. Belos provides him with magic and a future, it’s no wonder he stays with him despite everything.

the whole “Found me” thing is weird, cause belos implies they’re blood related and hunter makes it sound like belos semi-adopted him. Which....if he did i dunno why “Uncle” and not “Adopted dad”, but ok....guess that’s for later.

Apparently hunter is important for something tho with the “Titan has big plans for me” thing, not sure what, but-

But yeah as soon as Hunter talked about wanting to make his own future and Rascal tried to land on him i knew EXACTLY where this was going, it was so cuteeeeee. The lil birb wanted to be with hunter, that’s so wholesome.

And he’s so terrified because of belos and what wild magic did to him, the poor bab.

But yeah, luz then trusts him with his staff back, because again....impulsive. But hunter does actually ask if she’s sure, so he might as well be asking if she trusts him.

The plan goes ahead, and hunter nearly betrays her.

though granted, hunter never promised her he’d stop and let her take them away, the truce was supposed to last till kiki was stopped and they were gonna fight out who got the pailsman. But it does bother luz cause she was hopeful he was better then this.

But just like he did before, she calls him out and he doesn’t betray her, because he’s ALSO too nice to do it, just like he said she was. He says his name (Which also took a moment to process), and then beats the crap out of kiki while letting luz get away and protecting her like a badass.

He might not have magic, but he’s good at fighting

like he can easily teleport to luz and take the pailsman, but he doesn’t, he lets them get away and luz knows this. Even though she also knows hunter has to go back to the emperor too and they have to separate.

It’s only slightly bitter terms, because in the end he came through for her and she knows it.

honestly, the worst part is i can’t even be mad at hunter for it, i’m sure he was terrified to fail belos. Both because he loves him and doesn’t want him to suffer....but also because of well...being punished. Really says something when his near betrayal doesn’t even make me mad at him, and i can understand why he nearly did it.

He let her go, knowing he’d be in SERIOUS trouble and that it would hurt someone he actually loves, so....ouch.

so yeah at this point i knew rascal wanted him so it was only of matter of what happened next.

Which was, luz getting the wood, which i like more anyway. Eda and King doing this offscreen and coming home like this is actually very funny, and honestly i appreciate the message of it being ok to wait.....means a lot to me.

yeah so belos is like...being an ass, like the kid tried his hardest, you don’t need to hit him with the “Is this the thanks i get?”. He’s a kid and he’s trying to cure you you dick, give him a break he doesn’t remotely have to help you like this.

Also apparently belos has not even told hunter HOW this happened, like...dude. Hunter is trying to be entirely reasonable here and belos spikes at him, which does imply some physical abuse though the only reason hunter doesn’t get a new scar is because he moves.

but how he reacts implies this has happened before, he is bracing for impact and he flinches. It’s pretty sad tbh, especially since hunter loves him and belos’s respect means something to him.

Belos is such an idiot, like c’mon dude, hunter is trying to help you and you don’t listen to him you dick. Kid shouldn’t have to say sorry for anything he did nothing wrong, he was just trying to help.

Anyways, he gloats at kiki (So at the very least she knows what he looks like under the mask), which he deserves a chance to do anyway. So i guess he didn’t rat her out for trying to kill him, personally my guess why is blackmail.....he was gonna hold it over her head to keep her from doing it again and threaten to tell belos.

But kiki quickly tells he LET the pailsman get away since he was the one to fight her (Curse his cute loose hair strand). So i guess now they have dirt on each other, so that’s fun.

His room is adorable, though the med kit by the bed is concerning.

Rascal comes for him and it;s so cute....though you can tell hunter nearly hurts him on instinct because of force of habit, but it’s so cute how he cares and how the birb loves him and is his new staff.

it was well hinted to as well, it’s so subtle, but the bird being cheery, curious, and his constant habit of escaping boundaries was perfect for hunter. He represents what hunter wants to be and why they got matched is done so well, all without explaining anything.

Hunter indirectly stated his deepest wish, to make his own choices, and rascal resonated with that. 

can’t wait to see where this goes.

hi hi i heard you like chief kim and i'm here to get all the intel on why it's a good drama 😊 and what you love about park jae bum's other dramas 😊 pls let me know if there's romance bc that's the oxygen i breathe when i watch a show 💕

Hello!!! Thank you for asking me about Chief Kim!!!! I can go on about it for ages lol. This got a bit long so i’m putting it under a cut

Chief Kim (aka Good Manager) is a comedy office drama with 20 eps, and it aired in 2017. There isn’t a main romance plotline, but don’t let that put you off! It’s an incredible drama in so many ways. (tho there is a subtle romance side plot, but it doesn’t involve the main character and it’s never the main focus, though it is cute). It does feature a bromance that was so great that the two actors literally won an award for it tho lol, so there’s also that!

In a way, the general premise is somewhat similar to Vincenzo in that it’s the main character and an unlikely team of others fighting a big corporation. The comedic tone is also more or less the same. The drama follows Kim Seong Ryong (the titular Chief Kim, played by Namgoong Min), a man with a talent for handling numbers who goes from running a seedy accounting firm to quite accidentally becoming a champion of employees rights in one of the biggest corporations in the country. He originally joins the company with the goal of embezzling a lot money and moving abroad, but he gets swept up in office politics surrounding high executives and the sinister goings on surrounding the position he was recruited for, as well as the shady things the higher-ups want him to do and the suspicion of the other members of his department. Eventually he starts to work alongside them to fight the corruption of the higher ups, and quickly becomes the bane of top management’s existence by being so incredibly annoying that they begin to regret hiring him.

It’s the kind of drama that really gets you to laugh, while still being incredibly heartwarming. The main character is so unashamedly funny, and the character dynamics are all so warm, and none of it ever seems forced. The first tag for the drama on MyDramaList is “character development”, and that says a lot! There’s so much growth that goes on for all the characters, even some of the villains! It’s especially funny because to begin with all the good things Kim Seong Ryeong does are completely by accident, and he’s annoyed but also pleased with all the attention it gets him. Over time he begins to own it, and begins to actively try to stand up to the corrupt people at the top of the company. The other highlight for me besides the humor is definitely the characters. From the eccentric main character, to the no-nonsense second in command in his department Yoon Ha Kyung, to the aggressive finance director Seo Yul who is always eating (one of my all time favourite characters, played by 2PM’s Junho), to the janitor lady who always roasts everyone, there isn’t a single dull character, whether good or bad. And Seo Yul gets one of the best character arcs I’ve ever seen in a kdrama. You get to watch the characters struggle and triumph, and you feel for them because their struggles feel so real, and the drama really gets you invested in them. You see the ways in which they fight to survive as normal working class citizens and you want them to win.

It differs from Vincenzo in that the main character isn’t considered evil and loses his less savoury traits over the course of the drama (his character arc is one of becoming a more upstanding citizen), and the message is one of fighting against corporate greed using the corporate system against itself in order to make things better for the average working citizen. But there’s the same plotting, and the same feeling of rooting for the protagonist team to win as you watch them plot and plan. I never rewatch things, but i’ve rewatched Chief Kim twice already and i’m looking forward to rewatching it again soon (just writing about it is making me want to rewatch it right now lol). It especially hits well for me because i love office dramas, and the humor and the bromance are just right. (Also, not entirely related, but it’s the first drama Kim Seonho was in!)

Another Park Jaebum drama i can definitely recommend is The Fiery Priest! It’s also a comedy action drama with 20 eps (released in 2019), and it follows Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil), a catholic priest with a real temper, as he works to solve the mystery surrounding the death of a senior priest. No romance there either, but it’s got the same humor as Chief Kim and Vincenzo, and the same overarching found family trope (that really shines for this one). It’s darker than Chief Kim, but not as dark as Vincenzo. The plot is very intriguing, and it’s the kind of drama you feel compelled to keep watching to see what happens next. And the host of characters in that drama is still one of my favourites to this day. Every character was incredibly written, and they all played vital roles in the overall story. Again, lots of character development all round, and great character arcs not just for the main character (even for a few of the villains!). Plus it was lovely to watch the various characters interact, get closer, and build relationships. Such an iconic squad. Not to mention how funny it is?? And the fight scenes??? In fact, I enjoyed it so much that when I checked Park Jaebum’s page on MyDramaList after watching it around June last year and saw Vincenzo as an upcoming project, I added it to my plan to watch list immediately even though there was only a single line of synopsis lol. It’s also got an absolute banger of a soundtrack!

When you think about it, all three (Chief Kim, TFP and Vincenzo) can be simplified to “guy with dubious past sets out to fight corruption and creates a great support circle in the process”. All three are dramas of finding people who care about you and are willing to fight alongside you, and fighting for your convictions/what you think is right. Each main character starts out as a somewhat solitary figure, and you get to watch as they each find people who are willing to fight alongside them and support them. What exactly those specific convictions are varies in each drama, but Park Jaebum writes the character development arcs incredibly each time, and the relationships between the characters are so real and so satisfying to watch. And yet the integrity of the main character in each drama is never compromised either, it’s shown that they can grow and become better without losing themselves. The growth is also in the way that they learn to work with and rely on others, because teamwork makes the dream work. And then to cap it all off he lets them have victories, and he makes it SO satisfying??? There are highs and there are lows, and you feel all of those right there with the characters, which makes the victories feel so so good. In each we see the ensemble cast get involved with the fight and the plotting, and we get to see all their epic plans and their execution, and the victories they win that build up over time. And it’s so satisfying to me! I love it a lot, just thinking about it is making me smile lol. It also shows how well humor and darker/more serious plotlines/events are balanced in the dramas, neither is compromised in favour of the other, but it always works so well that the humor never feels forced or out of place. As someone who doesn’t like overbearingly dark shows, I really appreciate that. They all give you lots to laugh at, while not losing any of the plot to the funny.

Of course there are differences, notably the romance, and the fact that Vincenzo is bad vs bad rather than good vs bad like the other two. They deal more with redemption (especially The Fiery Priest), but that works for the stories that are being told, and it’s very well executed.

It’s worth noting that Park Jaebum also wrote Good Doctor and 4 seasons of God’s Quiz. I haven’t checked those out yet, but I’ve heard good things about all of them. He also wrote Blood, I haven’t seen that one either but opinions seem to be split on how good it was. All of those are medical dramas (which is the reason I haven’t watched them lol, i can’t stand medical dramas) from before 2017, when he wrote Chief Kim. It seems he’s been on a roll since then, good for him and good for us lol. You can see everything he’s written on his MyDramaList page.

Overall I enjoyed the Park Jaebum dramas I have seen for first and foremost the comedy, but also for the warmth of the character relationships and for how well developed/written each character is. And I love how he balances the humor with more poignant/darker moments, I laughed a lot watching all three dramas, but I’ve cried over each of them as well. It’s a good balance to have, it gives you a good plot to be interested in, but doesn’t keep you stressed and sombre the whole way through. I’ve seen people say that Vincenzo wouldn’t be as good if it wasn’t so wacky, and I fully agree. It’s the same for both TFP and Chief Kim, and that balance is definitely what I appreciate most in Park Jaebum’s dramas. I know I will laugh, but I also know I will get an incredible plot and incredible characters, and that’s really important for me. Plus I know I can trust that there will be a good ending because the writer cares about his characters.

I definitely recommend checking out both TFP and Chief Kim after Vincenzo is done, especially since they’re so similar in terms of comedic tone and basic plot direction. If you ever get to watching either of them feel free to hmu to chat about it!! There’s lots of plot stuff that can be can discussed.

ohhhhh i gotchu hold on (this is basically gonna end up being a list of my fave destiel episodes lmaooo)

ok so just a heads-up, i don’t really remember much from s10 onwards (a lot of those episodes i haven’t actually watched since they aired whoops) and i’m currently stuck at the beginning of s9 on my complete rewatch soooo this list focuses only on the first half of the show. i might do an update if i ever manage to finish my rewatch (and remember to post an update at all when the time comes)

4x16 - On the Head of a Pin

dean calls cas “cas” to his face for the very first time

dean is all “you can't ask me to do this, cas. not this.” (about torturing alastair) and uriel is all “who said anything about asking”, but cas is all: “this is too much to ask, i know. but we have to ask it” and that is the moment that dean realizes that cas cares about him and his feelings/well-being and that’s when he demands to speak to cas alone 

and it’s only after cas tells dean he really doesn’t want dean being forced to do the torturing that Dean gives in (”i would give anything not to have you do this”)

like, it’s so obvious already how much cas cares about dean already and we’re only in s4

 cas is even starting to go down the path of disobedience (with a little help from anna admittedly, but still. he’s starting to consider it)

4x22 - Lucifer Rising

dean literally makes an angel fall in this ep, i mean come on... (the way cas shows up behind him all “you asked to see me” after dean smashes the angel statue cracks me up every single time gsdlka)

dean desperately trying to get cas to help him (bc he knows that IF there’s an angel that would help him it’s cas)

cas is too afraid though and dean gets pissed and literally breaks up with him (D: "you spineless, soulless son of a bitch. what do you care about dying? you're already dead. we're done." C: "dean-" D: "we're done!")

this is the episode in which cas makes his decision and chooses dean over heaven

5x03 - Free to Be You and Me

in the previous episode sam and dean had a fight and split up. this episode starts out with dean being pissed and annoyed and just in a bad mood in general

when cas shows up and asks for help dean is very grumpy and doesn’t want to help at first but then reluctantly agrees

throughout the episode, the more time dean spends with cas the better his mood gets (honestly this point is worthy of its own separate post, i have enough screenshots lmao)

like he’s even smiling at the end of the ep when he’s talking to cas in the car!! (except then he looks over and realizes cas has left mid-conversation again and that smile is wiped right off his face and i’m sad :( )

when they’re in that brothel dean mostly has eyes for cas, even when chastity the hooker is standing right next to him

after the brothel incident when dean is cracking up and goes “it's been a long time since I've laughed that hard. it's been more than a long time. years.” like... buddy. your crush is showing.

6x20 - The Man Who Would Be King

i mean... this one is obvious isn’t it

this ep is literally all about how cas is doing everything for the winchesters aka dean

the way sam and bobby cautiously voice their suspicions of cas to dean has the same energy as carefully breaking it to a family member that you think their partner is cheating on them 

and when they trap cas in the holy oil and confront him dean also acts like a betrayed wife(gn)

which is such a stark contrast to how sam and bobby react to the betrayal (they’re mostly just like “eh this sucks” while dean is emotionally affected)

and even in the following episodes dean is way more affected by cas’s betrayal than sam and bobby are and dean is the one who argues the most with cas (honestly, this entire arc is literally that post that’s all “how do i know dean is in love with cas? bc sam isn’t”)

ok but the holy oil scene is truly like a soap opera (i mean... “where were you when i needed to hear it?” “i was there. where were you?” and dean looking back at cas one last time before running away)

this is their first big break-up and it takes them until the s7 finale to make up

also dean has no chill during that phone call lmao (he’s irritated when he finds out meg didn’t call them right then and there as soon as cas woke up and he’s immediately concerned when meg says cas is different, while sam’s just standing there holding his phone out to dean, being all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lmao)

dean: *pissed af at cas*    also dean: *almost breaks his own neck at the speed with which he whips his head around at the mention of cas’s name and is desperate to know his location when cas calls meg after dean blasted him away with some other angels at the hospital*

8x07 - A Little Slice of Kevin

when you see your best dudebro outside the window in the middle of a storm but when you get up he’s gone and you feel like crap because you could’ve made it out of the war zone together and you just cannot fathom why he didn’t try harder and you just don’t understand why you’re feeling what you’re feeling (and judging by dean’s reaction to sam’s suggestion, clearly it’s not survivor’s guilt)

it’s the way dean and cas keep gravitating towards each other in the first half of the episode. no seriously, they somehow keep ending up beside each other and you start wondering “what’s personal space” (friendly reminder that this is the ep right after they’re finally back together again after purgatory)

the married energy and the bickering

the “talk to me” scene where cas finally opens up to dean (but then interrupting moose strikes)

at the retirement home dean to sam and cas: “no flirting you two” then CUT to: dean and cas sitting at a table with an elderly lady who is staring at cas with heart eyes and... lady: “you are so pretty, charles” dean: *must look at young nurse’s butt immediately to distract myself from gay thoughts*

My First Imagine

Setting: During COVID19 Pandemic, Professor and Changbin (not a student teacher relationship tho)

*I’m so sorry for the wait. I really struggled with their encounter since I dont have a lot of dating experience (only had 1 partner). But I tried my best to make it seem realistic*

PART 4

Changbin read your caption and swooned over how wonderfully you portrayed the encounter.

He went through your feed and watched all the clips from your teaching sessions. By the twentieth video, he wasn’t listening to what you were saying anymore. He was listening to your voice, how it echoed throughout the room, how you dragged your last syllables when you were being affectionate with your students, how your pitch rose when others were actively engaging, how your words melted into each other and how each sentence slowly turned into music. 

The next morning, when Han woke Changbin up, he found Changbin asleep with your lectures still playing. Witty Han decided to pull a prank and played your lecture in the big room and woke Changbin up. Hearing a familiar voice, Changbin woke up, cheeks puffy and eyes still sleepy. “Is that one your guys friend? I feel like I’ve met them before,” he sleepily said.

“Yeah that’s my friend that we met at the convenience store. Don’t you remember,” Han sarcastically said. Changbin none the wiser, asked what friend and continued to the sofa where he would slumber some more. But as soon as he laid down, he stood straight up and realized what Han was talking about. 

“Is that Y/N?,” he asked shockingly.

Everyone laughed but Changbin’s first reaction was to ask where they had found this video. Han shared a photo of what he saw that morning and Changbin became a bashful kid. He screamed in retaliation and tried to turn off the tv, only to be met with the other members wresting him. He screamed for them to turn it off but they were having so much fun laughing as Changbin struggled. Seungmin, the only one unbothered, wanted to calm everyone down and turned the tv off. Everyone sighed in disappointment and stopped play fighting with Changbin. Bang Chan called out for them to stop and for them all to quickly begin making breakfast because they had a loaded schedule ahead of them. 

That was the start to their busy month. For the next couple of that week, they worked hard to complete their activities for STAYs to enjoy, only occasionally cracking inside jokes about you to Changbin. Every joke, even small, made Changbin stop in his track and blush though. He pretended he didn’t know what they were referring to and simply laughed while scratching his head. Eventually, they ran out of jokes to make (since their encounter with you was so short) and stopped. 

But this didn’t stop Changbin from being reminded of you. He rewatched many of your videos but found that he really just wanted to interact with you again. This time around, Changbin was determined to run into you again. He tried to frequent the convenience store every night, whenever possible, but often found the store front without you. He continued coming for about two weeks, making the excuse that he was exercising even though the members already knew why. But no luck of seeing you. 

Scene: Convenience Store

Until one night, when Changbin went really late after almost forgetting his mission. As he approached the store, the front was again empty and he was feeling defeated. He decided maybe it was best to stop trying and went inside to buy something for the last time. He softly went to get himself some chocolate milk and was about to pay for his items, when someone else handed the cashier their drink.

“Please scan his drink too,” that person said. Changbin looked up and it was you. You smiled softly at him, paid for both the drinks and grabbed them. You walked out to a table out front and Changbin continued to stare in confusion.

“Well aren’t you going to join me?” you casually asked him. 

Changbin quickly collected him and sat next to you. For the first few moments, he remained silent as you handed him his drink and sipped on your tea. You casually looked over to him and asked if he was going to drink his drink. He answered with a soft “oh” and started to open his drink when you placed your cup down and took in a soft but deep breath. 

You looked down at your watch and saw that it read “11:11PM” and quickly told Changbin, “Quick, make a wish it’s 11:11.” You squinted your eyes, held your hands tightly to your chin and made a wish. Changbin slowly copied your gesture but ended up just looking at you as your nose crinkled and eyebrows twitched. But as soon as he saw you put your hands down, he closed his eyes and pretended that he made a wish. He squinted like his life depended on it and you couldn’t help but let out a little laugh. He opened one of his eyes and looked to see what you were laughing at. 

“Don’t laugh,” he shyly said. This made you blush more and you just ended up staring into the street. Changbin fixed his posture, and sipped on his drink. With the awkward silence looming, you gathered all your courage again and decided to start the conversation.

“Let’s try again.. okkay. I’m Y/N and it’s nice to meet you,” you started. Changbin let out a small giggle and smiled. 

“Hi, I’m Changbin. It’s nice.. to meet you.. too,” he answered. You responded back and told him you were a big fan, to which he thanked you. You didn’t know what to say after that so you quickly thought of games you used to play back home. You decided on “21 questions.”

“Let’s play 21 questions, okkayy. We each take turn asking and answering questions okay,” you told him. Changbin was intrigued by this foreign game and agreed.

“I’ll start okay.... Uhm.... Oh I know, Do you put you put on one sock, one shoe, and then the next sock and shoe or do you put both sock and then shoes?” you asked seriously. Changbin immediately started giggling at your silly questions. You smiled while asking why he was laughing. You really wanted to know.

“I put both socks on and then my shoes,” he answered, still laughing. You nodded in approval and then told him it was his turn.

“Who is your Bias in Stray Kids?”

“Hyunjin-ie” you blurted. Changbin’s face turned disappointed and you quickly said “I’m just kidding kekeke... It’s Changbin-ie. His rap and face are perfect.” This made Changbin blush and giggle.

“If there was a zombie apocalypse, who would you eat first and why? Your mom or your dad?”

You two continued your questions long into the night. Your questions kept being silly and Changbin’s were more relatable to both of you. By the last question, you both were having so much fun, neither realized how long you had been out. All that could be heard was laughter and wheezing. This was the most fun either of you had had in a  while and did not want the night to end. But the next work day was rolling around the corner and you needed your rest. 

“I had so much fun playing this game with you Changbin. May we meet here again?” you bravely asked. He answered back that he couldn’t make any promises because they would be busy again and that he would try his best. So, you suggested on a day sometime in the future and gave him your email.

“Let me know if you can make it or of a better day okkay.” you added. You both waved while saying goodbye and went home. 

With the start of a comeback, Changbin was only able to email you that he would be too busy to meet you on the day you suggested. He said he would follow up once he was not longer busy. Almost a whole month passed by and did not email. You weren’t disappointed though, because you knew he was busily promoting. So you didn’t email him and just supported him like a fan. You bought their album, voted for them and streamed their music. All was good with teaching and silently supporting him, when you received an email with the greatest news ever!! You had won an opportunity to attend a video call event with Stray Kids! 

Scene: Video Call Event

Changbin had such a busy day and was overwhelmed by such a tight schedule. He had no time for himself and felt disappointed that everything needed all of his investment and attention but couldn’t give his all. Nothing seemed to go as plan and he was now stressing and anxious about nothing and everything. He knew he had a fan event later and all the chaos to get him looking the part and being mentally prepared was overwhelming. He went to the washroom to cry for a moment and came back. 

Once the first fan call started, he felt drained. He wasn’t feeling excited as of late but didn’t want to make fans feel bad so he tried extra hard to be cheerful and cute. He joked with them, made silly faces, comforted them and made all their calls worth whiled.  But, Changbin was feeling incredibly drained now. He didn’t know how he would make it through the next call. He quickly slapped himself awake and forced a smile. As soon as he heard the call ring though, he grew exhausted. But he only had one more call so he kept it in.

“Hellooooooooo,” he exclaimed when the fan picked up the call. 

“Helloooooo....” you shyly said, coming out from the corner. “It’s nice to meet you again.... How have you been?” you asked. Just saying that made you feel so shy, so you quickly covered your mouth and softly giggled.

“Youre my last call for the day and my favorite. this night is ending swell.” you continued. But he did respond.

“You must be very tired....” you said realizing how late it was and how blank his face looked. You could tell that he had a rather long day because his eyes were a but more red. So your excitement changed from one of a young adoring fan to a caring and nurturing friend. Not wanting him to force a smile or speak when he didn’t need to, you asked him if he could just listen while you just shared about yourself so he  could rest. He wasn’t actually listening to what you were saying, so it took him a moment to respond. When he realized what was said he softly nodded his head. Only after looking at you did he realize who you were. He immediately became so embarrassed and nervous that his legs shook uncontrollably and the table started to shake. He began smiling and giggling.

You quickly decided you would share just make up an acrostic poem with his name. You hoped to lighten the mood as well as make it interesting. So you pondered for a moment to come up with something sweet and when you were ready, you clapped your hands. 

“Okay, I’m ready.”

“Seo”

“So when are you going to apologize for crashing into me?.... Remember?.... When you fell from heaven and thought you landed on a stump?”

“Chang”

“Chang Bin ah, I’m just kidding. You didn’t fall from heaven. God just threw you away because he was tired of competing with a more handsome God.” 

“Bin” 

“Bin (Been) a bit since I’ve been in Heaven. Do you think you can take me there again?“

You immediately covered your face, feeling completely embarrassed from being so soft and Changbin let out a soft, high-pitched giggle. Just then, the ringer went off and your call was coming to an end. You quickly said your goodbye and waved uncontrollably. Changbin waved back but didn’t realize that the call was ending, until he registered your goodbye. He was shocked and the video ended. Your last image of him was of a shocked lost child and you were so happy that you helped distract him.

Ooo you mentioned dyeing your hair blonde again which I am fully in support for since I’ve been highlighting my hair blonde for like 4 years now - every time before I get it dyed again I say to myself ‘no I’ll grow out my natural hair colour blah blah blah’ and then I have no self restraint and I just dye it again - your hair does sound like it is a super pretty colour tho, I don’t know anyone with strawberry blonde hair but if you wanna re-dye it go for it but also it depends on like the upkeep of hair dyeing

Also I rewatched midsommar and enjoyed it more than I did the first time I watched it and now it is a fave - I watched hereditary when it came out and it scared the shit out of me but I did also enjoy it

Also also Måneskin songs hmmm they have a few songs in English and then obvs some in Italian, I would say my fave in English is For Your Love and one of my faves in Italian (since I love a lot of them) is Lividi Sui Gomiti - if you don’t like them I won’t be offended but I thought you should check them out

I hope your mosquito bite reaction has gotten better, that sounds so shit and painful I’m sorry that you’re dealing with that - I’m v lucky that I am allergic to nothing really so grateful for that

tw: bit of a vent below the cut, mentions of death

so i know you know what happened last week, because you sent your condolences and all that (thank you again for that, by the way <3 i sincerely appreciate it <3) but on top of our family friend’s tragic passing, life has just been so, so rough lately—with my mental illness and my family in particular. i’d assume that the illness stuff was most likely triggered by the death, which makes sense, but i am so exhausted and so tired of fighting with my own fucking mind it’s unbelievable. and then, yesterday, i witnessed some things i really wish i could’ve stayed ignorant to, and it’s just really fucked me up too. my heart hasn’t stopped pounding all day. BUT, if we’re looking on the bright side (or trying to) the incident yesterday was a very sobering (lmao) slap to the face and a much needed wake up call for me to get a damn move on with getting the hell out of this environment. so that’s propelled me forward and motivated me to really get down to work (it’s just pushing myself to work through the anxiety and illness that’s difficult now haha but i am doing it!!).

EDIT: i had a nice long talk with two of the three most important people in my life (and in this situation in particular, too!) and i’m feeling a little better now <3

yes!!! i’ve actually changed my mind now LMAO because i’d like to use that money towards leaving. my roots have grown out past my chin, so when they get a little longer i will be forced to (very sadly :c) chop all of the dyed hair off. i haven’t had my natural colour in a LONG time, so this is kind of odd haha. originally i was going to redye it pink!! but the upkeep is an absolute nightmare and i just can’t right now lmao. yeah idk!! it’s a really odd colour, my natural hair, but it might be refreshing to be back to it again after so many years, i dunno!!!

YAAAY i’m so glad to hear that!!!!! it’s such an incredible film i could literally go on about it forever aaaaah hehehe and HEREDITARY IS FUCKING TERRIFYING LIKE i cannot watch that movie on my own truly i can’t. it’s so unsettling in such a fun way!!!
