It's funny bc the people in my life who admonish me for not driving (specifically family) all hate driving so much. They hate the cost between payments, insurance, gas, repairs etc, they hate other drivers, they hate driving longer than 30 minutes, they hate having to park, they hate the car itself half the time, they hate the environmental impacts, they hate the constant fear of hitting an animal or pedestrian, they get out of the car in a worse mood than when they got in it, and they resent that they have to drive in the first place. my friend this is one of the few parts of the country with halfway decent transit. might I introduce to you the SmarTrip card and some patience

birth chart reading for @xxg0thbabyxx
hello! welcome to your reading. I’m gonna give you a quick overview of what I’m going to analyze about your natal chart. feel free to ask me anything if something isn’t clear, of course. you’ll find out your dominants’ influence on your persona, your physical appearance, impression on others and the way you approach the world; your ego, identity, the real you; your reactions, your desires, inner emotions; your way of expressing your feelings, your mind and ideas; your desires and approach to love; your energy tank, instincts and temperament; in-depth analysis of each house with their rulers and analysis of heavy aspects; love life + soulmates/karmic partners interpretation; your relationship with your friends; your family life; your approach to career and work in general + possible jobs suggestion; your style, fashion sense analysis; life purpose and past life description; basic transits’ analysis to describe your current mood and, last but not least, your secret skills, how to make the most out of your soul and manifest what you desire based on your birth chart.
🦋 chart shape, dominants
your chart is a seesaw shape. your life focuses on different ideals and interests, often constrasting between each other. from one side, this gives you the ability to be adaptable and find solutions easily. on the other hand, you may struggle with balance; for example, you might find yourself dedicating your life to your relationships, neglecting your ego or viceversa. you need to learn how to harmonize these energies.
your dominant planets are mercury, the sun and uranus. you are definitely a very charismatic person, you are sociable and people see you as someone easy to approach. you look and are friendly, you try to make everyone comfortable, even though you could change your mind pretty often. because of that, people can see you as too unpredictable or impulsive.
your dominant sign is gemini. you are a very intelligent individual, you are thirsty for knowledge and you also have great communication skills. you have a witty sense of humor, you're able to make everyone feel at ease with your sympathy. people may say you're two-faced, but in reality you just act in the most appropriate way based on the situation you're in. you despise boredom, you're very experimental in your life, but others may mistake this trait for flakiness.
your dominant element is air. in your life, you adore seeking for knowledge of any kind. you may be interested in studying different subjects, from those you study at school like science, maths, literature etc. to more unconventional ones, such as astrology, psychology, criminology and so on. you enjoy interacting with people; even if you’re not that sociable, you’ll still be interested in their point of view and their ideals, as you see it as a way to expand your own mind. you’re also interested in vintage, and you may have a retro aesthetic or just like history in general.
🌎 ascendant in gemini, 2° / 1st decan ruled by mercury
you enjoy communicating and intellectualism. you’re very curious about everything that surrounds you. you love expanding your knowledge, ideas and mind in general through communication, interactions and media. you have the ability to adapt quickly to new situations; your mind is fast, usually impulsive, even though this energy may not be much prominent; it may be perceived differently due to your libra energy, in fact. that’s because libra prefers organizing things, rather than acting impulsively. yet, this placement still helps you being adaptable to changes, even though you may only be able to see it after a few years if you manage to balance it well. you may also be able to match the energy of the people you’re talking to in order to be perceived as more likeable and connect with everyone on a deeper level. you may be fond of books, poetry, literature… both writing and reading. it’s also a way to let yourself tune to your emotions. since you’re constantly mentally active, physically you may also tend to play with your fingers or hair, or maybe you tend to gesticulate while you speak. appearance-wise, I assume you’re at least of average height, with long limbs and fingers. you have something small about your face; you may either have a small nose, or eyes, lips etc. same thing goes for your bones. you may be naturally skinny, or perhaps you have healthy curves. you also tend to look younger than you actually are, especially when growing up. you may often be, or at least look, sleepy. your eyes have a very dreamy look to them, and they’re probably almond-shaped.
gemini ascendant square pisces moon: you may have troubles understanding others’ real feelings for you. you may feel as if everyone hates you, like everyone is talking behind your back when it’s the opposite. the moon being in pisces doesn't help either, as this aspect enhances its trust issues even more. you’re particularly sensitive about others’ view and opinion of you, you may get deeply hurt when people criticize you. you could have the tendency to act differently than you usually do, in order to preserve your feelings. this is obviously a toxic behaviour, that fills you up with your own stress and doubles it. due to that, you may become very moody and nervous, ending up hurting others yourself. or maybe, it’s the other way around; your feelings are so overwhelming that you can’t hide them, and that could put you in embarrassing, unpleasant situations. you may show all of your emotions on your face, ready to be read. the way to cope with this placement is finding someone similiar to you; someone who’s trust-worthy, and very sensitive and empathetic too. someone who’d never judge you for you think or say, and that would always help you becoming the best version of yourself. someone that understands you, without having to explain all of your behaviours and habits.
gemini ascendant opposite sagittarius pluto: you're aware that the world is too nasty for your honesty, hence you may have trust issues. even though you are friendly, you're very picky about who you decide to actually call your friend. you may constantly feel lonely, as if no one were willing to listen and understand you. you live with the fear that others may take advantage of you, hence you end up doing it yourself, unconsciously. you may be controlling, but your chart hints that it's not too much of a big deal. you may have the tendency to do it sometimes, but it's mostly a bad trait of your past life. the universe is testing you to see if you've learned your lesson or not. you have all the skills to avoid this type of behaviour now that you're aware of it.
🌞 sun in gemini, 15° / 2nd decan ruled by mercury and venus
with your sun in the mutable sign of gemini, you are a very light-hearted, chill individual. you're very bright and bubbly, you have amazing communication skills and also an entertaining sense of humor that is able to light up the room. you're very sociable, you like interacting with others, and with your heavy gemini energy in the rest of your chart, you don't find it hard to let this side of you out, especially with people you feel comfortable with. since gemini is a mutable sign, you most likely have tons of interests and hobbies, they're so many that you find it hard to keep up with all of them, despite being extremely good at multi-tasking. in fact, you're particularly intelligent and thirsty for knowledge. you like learning about everything, you love looking and being smart. it's your way to feel empowered and proud of yourself. you always need freshness in your daily life, you cannot stand boredom. because of that, you may often change your ideas, your hobbies, your favourite singer, etc. sometimes, you could even apply this to friends and lovers, and people may consider you unloyal or not much serious because of that. in addition, you get easily very anxious and stressed, to the point that you may seem dramatic to others.
gemini sun square pisces moon: with this aspect, what you need and what you want tend to clash. in your case, your gemini sun wants to be in the spotlight, you want to be sociable and have fun. you want to go out often and live life to the fullest, while your pisces moon is more private, it prefers being alone. as a result, you may come off as unpredictable and / or indecisive. you could struggle with being optimistic, as you have this inner turmoil in you that makes you struggle to attract positive situations in your life. you may often feel conflicted, as if you didn't have control over your emotions. you may have unstable self-esteem, one day you could be feeling extra confident and happy with yourself and then the next day you feel very insecure, you want to change everything about your persona. you could feel unwanted, or perhaps you actually used to feel unwanted during your childhood, perhaps by your parents, relatives or even by other children at school. you're basically a walking paradox, you want both intimacy and independence, stability and flexibility.
gemini sun opposite sagittarius pluto: probably during your childhood you couldn't make your own decisions. you might have been highly influenced by someone in your family, probably your father, and hence now you feel the need to have everything under control. maybe too much. you despise authority, you may even quite rebellious. maybe your parents have tried to convince you following their religion, ideals etc., without giving you freedom. or perhaps, they are overprotective and avoid to make you have experiences. I imagine that getting rid of your control issues, which are caused by this sense of not being in control of your life, may be the first step to finally heal your wound, which is somehow linked to the relationship with your friends and casual partners in your everyday life. start trusting others more, and don't be afraid of being 'fooled'. you're totally capable of understanding when someone is trying to hurt you, follow your intuition. even though it may be hard, even painful, it'll be the key to transform and overcome pluto's lessons to achieve your goals.
🌙 moon in pisces, 5° / 1st decan ruled by neptune
hands down my favourite moon sign! you're extremely empathetic and sensitive, you care a lot about others and you treat others' problems as if they were yours, you get totally immersed in them. you have quite a vivid imagination, you're able to idealize and picture anything you want. while this placement gives you an incredible amount of creativity, it can also make you uncomfortable. in fact, you may actually find yourself imagining every detail of every situation, even the worst ones. let's suppose you hear of a rape at the news; you literally start imagining the scene detail by detail, and it makes you extremely uncomfortable. actually, it literally ruins your mood, as it's as if you actually lived that scene. going back to the creativity matter, you have the soul of an artist; you have very enhanced emotions, and you're able to express them through artistic outlets. you could be amazing at writing poetry, books, art, music... also, your particular empathy of human's intellect can also make you an amazing psychologist or actress, as you're able to understand others' feelings and make them your own. you're extremely spiritual, and if you don't feel like that, you just have yet to have your spiritual awakening. you may be able to talk to spirits, for example, or perhaps you have very meaningful dreams. or maybe, you could literally predict the future through them. you're also most probably an avid daydreamer, you tend to get distracted easily because you're too busy thinking about random scenarios in your head. seriously, you could even make a movie out of them. you're also an hopeless romantic, and you dream of finding not just your spouse, but your literal soulmate. to make it simple, you want all of your daydreams to become reality.
pisces moon square sagittarius pluto: your emotions are so intense that they almost scare those around you. in fact, you're prone to accentuated mood swings; when you're happy, you start smiling and laughing joyfully. when you're sad, you're the type to cry, scream, even throw up in some cases. that's how far you go with your emotions. maybe, you also feel repressed to express your feelings exactly for this reason. you probably also have a conservative/possessive mother (or just any member of your family), with whom you don't feel at ease expressing your emotions. or maybe, your mother was absent throughout your life. on the other hand, you can understand others' feelings, but be careful not to use it to manipulate others. you could also be very paranoid, and might develop addictions and anxiety disorders, especially with your sensitive pisces moon.
🗣 mercury in gemini, 28° / 3rd decan ruled by mercury and uranus
mercury is in its natural place in gemini, your whole chart flows very well! you have great problem-solving skills, you are extremely intelligent and astute. when you were younger, you probably used to be the winner at games like hide-and-seek. this placement also enhances your thirst for knowledge of any kind, you want to learn at least a little about anything, from science to foreign cultures. yet, since you want to learn so many things all at once, you may lack precision and be a little bit superficial. on the other hand, you're a fast learner and you may often find people predictable, but in reality you're just ahead of them. you're also very open-minded, even though you still rely more on logic, not like your sister sign is sagittarius. yet, it's easy for you to be flexible in your day-to-day life, you don't have to follow a schedule to have everything under control, even though you may often suffer from stress and headaches due to this lack of organization. you may have a very youthful and positive voice, you just give off good vibes, you know?
❤️ venus in leo, 0° / 1st decan ruled by the sun
with leo venus you're very picky, as you have high expectations for your future partner. you always try to be at your best state, and you want those who surround you to be perfect too. it's hard for you to fall for someone, as you take everything in consideration: personality, physical appearance, fashion sense... it may look like it is too much, but once you find the right one that truly satisfies your standards, you're in for a long ride. you'll want to travel, live your life in the best way possible with the person you love. you look at them as if they were the brighest star in the sky, and you want to be seen like this as well. you may even be a bit clingy, but your partner needs to be aware of that. they can't repress your need for affection. you see love as a way to revive your inner child, you feel younger when you're in love. even though you want someone fun and outgoing, you also need someone ambitious, hard-working and generally serious when it comes to committing. there's no room in your life for flaky people.
leo venus square libra mars: this placement most likely gives you a short-temper. you may have lots of friends or lots of romantic partners, but you may find yourself being often irritated by them. you could argue with others over petty things, and this could affect your relationships significantly. at the same time, you enjoy fun, exciting relationships. you're the type who's looking for a risktaker, even dangerous partner. you hate boredom, and this may be your weakness regarding this placement; that is, once the relationship starts getting more serious, you feel as if it's going down, when it's actually the opposite. hence, you just run towards a new adventure. with this placement, what you need is learning to open up and being honest without being too blunt. you need to talk about your feelings, you can't bottle them up, but be careful not to sound rude, don't be too impulsive. because of your nature, the perfect partner for you would be someone mature, confident and empathetic that will understand you and won't get hurt by your words.
leo venus square aries jupiter: you come off as a very positive, happy-go-lucky person. you're extremely friendly, and this makes you be good at social relationships. you may have lots of friends, or at least you have the potential to make many if you opened up and talked to them. yet, while this energy gives you positive vibes, some people may take advantage of that, as you could easily be mistaken for naive. people can try to dominate you unconsciously (sometimes even on purpose) not only in relationships but even in friendships. aside from that, I don't think this placement causes you many problems. you may have the tendency to procrastinate and not work. you could be quite lazy and get easily distracted, as you're constantly with your head in the cloud.
leo venus opposite aquarius neptune: you probably dream of a love like those you hear about in fairytales; you're not only looking for a partner, you literally want a princess/prince, who's willing to give their all to you. you find yourself daydreaming often about love, and it may also be your source of inspiration for creativity and art in general. probably, you may idealize people too much; that is, you may create a version of others that only exists in your head. hence, once you get to know someone better, they turn out to be the exact opposite of what you thought. this causes you to be sort of naive when it comes to relationships, so pay extra attention to this problem now that you're aware of it.
☄️ mars in libra, 24° / 3rd decan ruled by venus and mercury
there’s this stereotype that libra mars people are passive-aggressive. it may be true, but only partially. in fact, you try to avoid conflicts exclusively when you’re in public, or maybe with someone you don’t know well. in that case, you can eventually try to avoid the problem. with people you’re close to, you’re pretty much the opposite. you may say the worst of things that you probably don’t even feel, you may even have the istinct to throw hands. you’re driven by a strong sense of justice, and you probably were the class’ snitch during daycare/primary school. you also strive for equality, hence you may get very defensive when it comes to proving your innocence, or just really anyone’s. overall, you’re a fair person with strong morals, who acts based on the situation you’re in.
libra mars opposite aries jupiter: you easily come off as more assertive and arrogant than you actually are. you say things impulsively, and sometimes you’re too blunt and hurt people’s feelings. you don’t do it on purpose, though, there’s no malice behind your acts; it’s just your natural way to express your opinions. you’re also very competitive, and this may make you look selfish. on a positive side, you probably have a naturally nice body (or maybe you react fast to diet/workout). you’re a risk-taker, and if you’re not you should try breaking the rules sometimes (obviously not doing illegal stuff lol). in fact, it’s when you’re both physically and mentally active that you’re able to come up with even better ideas, as you’re full of creativity. to cope with this placement, you can try doing something fun to challenge your mind, basically get out of your comfort-zone. of course you don’t have to overdo it, but it would be beneficial.
🏡 houses
your 1st house is in gemini. your ego feels fulfilled when you express your opinions, ideas and creativity. people probably see you as an intelligent, wise individual. maybe even as a know-it-all. you care about both your inner and outer self, which may be the cause of your confidence issues. you try to fit into society, and you tend to change your approach to people based on who you’re interacting with. while this gives you great social skills, it may confuse you quite a bit. in fact, you may forget who you are. you may often have identity crisis, especially since you always feel as if you have to fit somewhere. your sun in this house makes you very confident and motivated to achieve your goals. you possess strong leadership, which makes you aspire for the best positions in work, school, marriage etc. you don't want to lower your standards. you hate routine; you always try to spice up your daily life a bit by meeting new people and trying new experiences in general. you enjoy having fun, partying, travelling... you thrive in social situations. you may have troubles making right decisions, as you're quite indecisive. but, once you do choose, no one is gonna stop you from achieving your goals and showing the world who you are. in fact, you gain confidence from your assertiveness, making you pretty proud of your persona as well.
your 2nd house is in gemini again, with also your mercury sitting there. you’re probably very intelligent, and your skills are what boost your self-esteem. you’re also capable of doing more than one thing at the same time. you could make money from communication, hence you could become a writer, a singer, a theraphist, a judge, even an influencer. anything that involves the use of words. you may also be quite intelligent, and your intellect and ideas are what make you feel most confident. you have a slow way of thinking and speaking. your voice may sound really calm and pleasant to hear, yet still strict and ambitious. you’re probably a good singer, or at least have the potential to become one. you tend to overthink a lot, but you eventually get to a conclusion and stick to it. no one is gonna change your mind. you enjoy learning and working in creative ways; you might enjoy using powerpoints, flashcards or maybe study with your friends, or listening to music. you also probably have a nice, aesthetic handwriting and you like organizing your agenda. your voice is probably very soft and youthful.
your 3rd house is in cancer. your parents were probably successful in school and university, and they passed down their knowledge to you. maybe, you may have the same interests or passions as them, or perhaps they want you to be academically successful just like them. you may also find yourself talking about your memories, as you’re very attached to them, or even directly about your childhood/parents. your venus is also in this house: your flirting style most probably includes jokes, teasing… things like that. even though you may seem flaky, as you like experiencing romance with different types of people, you’re actually quite picky. in fact, in order to fall for someone, you need to feel mentally attracted to them, not just physically. someone ignorant and stubborn that doesn’t care about learning something most definitely isn’t for you. you’re not the type to be super romantic and sweet with your partner or just people in general. you show your affection for example by sending them memes, making ironic jokes about them etc. also, when you’re into someone, you probably get very talkative! you start asking them simple questions about their life, even things like 'did you have lunch?’.
your 4th house is in leo. your family had great expectations of you, which could have eventually led to anxiety/self-esteem issues. on the other hand, your parents cared about you, and they always made sure that you had everything you needed. if you have siblings, you were most likely the favourite child in the family, or at least you were spoiled by your parents, both with material things and affection. overall, your childhood wasn’t much turbulent, even though your parents most likely were quite strict with you. there could have been a bit of arguing as well aside from restrictions, and hence it was hard for you to establish a proper emotional bond with them. because of that, you may feel a little insecure now, as you may constantly feel misunderstood by others.
your 5th house is in virgo. you enjoy relax, yet you may feel guilty to abandon work for a while. you always feel like you have something to do, and that doesn’t allow you to fully enjoy your rest time. make sure to always find some space for yourself, though. it’s where your energy resides, you feel at home and comfortable exploring your abilities, you shouldn’t take them for granted. also, this enhances your writing abilities even more. in fact, you’re both creative to create stories and rational to tell them objectively and in a clear manner. you're picky with your lovers and friends, it takes time for you to open up to someone and fully trust them, but once you do, you're very loyal. I don't see you being as extroverted as other geminis, you need your alone time, but you definitely don't mind spending time with your loved ones and close friends.
your 6th house is in libra. you most likely involve beauty, art, aesthetics and creativity in your daily routine. your home environment probably looks very neat and well-designed. you care a lot about it, as much as you care about yourself; you put a lot of attention in your outfits and looks too, and you most likely love shopping. this is another placement that indicates that your ideal career should serve your need for creativity and self-expression. it’s very important for you to pursue a career that helps you find a way to express the creative side of your mind. you may also often find yourself dating people from your daily routine, hence co-workers, classmates etc. mars is also placed in this house: your life revolves around being productive. you don't like to waste your time, you always try to learn and gain something useful from everything you do. that's caused by the fact that you're motivated to be perfect in what you like; this, combined with your competitive nature, may often cause you to burn out.
your 7th house is in sagittarius. you want your marriage to be a constant travel for you, in which you can both relax and learn. you want to marry a witty and impulsive partner, that is also fun to live with. you may often find yourself falling for unavailable people, either physically or emotionally (or even both). they may be foreign, or at least they’re able to speak a different language from yours. they could also have a different culture/religion from yours. overall, they're also very wise, outgoing and surprisingly open-minded and philosophical. you could meet them in a place where you go to relax, such as the movie theater, a spa, the beach or even during a vacation. your sagittarius pluto is also sitting in this house: you tend to attract very intense partners. your future spouse will be very loyal and fond of you, but they may be a little too obsessive for you. it will be a very intimate relationship, but you may struggle with control. in fact, you’ll most likely be both very possessive and easily jealous, and there may be some arguments regarding this issue. with this placement, you may also attract ‘broken’ people, such as drug dealers, alcoholics, abusers… yet, as I’ve already mentioned, you also have jupiter (sagittarius) in this house, which makes you luckier when it comes to love. you’ll most likely avoid this type of people, but your relationships will still be very karmic. they may be painful, as you love hard when you fall for someone, but they’ll be crucial for your self-growth. you may also find yourself being attracted to mature, possibly older people, from different cultures / country from yours.
your 8th house is in sagittarius again. you’re very curious when it comes to taboo topics, you like learning about them. you’re probably into conspiracy theories, as well as matters like astrology, tarots, horror, tragedies, violence… you can use them to transform yourself and grow up, so you could definitely use this birth chart reading to improve yourself. 8th house is also the house of karma, and yours is kind of strange. you may often feel like you’re right about something, e.g the sky is blue. you’re very proud of your observation, but then it turns out to be different. it’s like the universe is constantly teaching you new things. luckily, this is something that gets better with time. in addition, having sagittarius here is great, as jupiter kind of protects you from the 8th house’s malefic themes. all the negative things that could happen to you, are actually blessings that are here to help you. you just need to be a little bit more optimistic, the universe has your back.
your 9th house is in capricorn, with also your neptune sitting there. you have a pragmatic approach to philosophy, school and experiences in general. for example, you may be the type to plan every day of a travel. at school, you were probably the type to prefer more logical subjects, but I assume that you were good at all of them. with neptune being also here, you may come across a lot of unexpected and confusing events in your life, especially when you’re entering a new phase of your life. yet, you may often get lost in your thoughts and get unmotivated from time to time. you most likely love travelling and making new experiences. if you had to choose how to spend your spare time, you’d most likely choose to travel somewhere. you’re also extremely open-minded, you hardly ever have prejudices. you surely don’t judge people from their sexuality, skin colour etc. last but not least, you may also have a knack for philosophy, poetry, literature, history… anything that can open your mind and stimulate your creativity.
your 10th house is in aquarius with also your moon and uranus placed there. your uranus is tightly conjunct the midheaven. you want to stand out from the crowd, you strive to establish your own morals and beliefs. you don’t want to conform to anything and anyone, as you’re a trend-setter and you want to be seen as such. you’d rather have a job where you can handle your work yourself, rather than having a boss. in fact, aquarius in this house makes you extremely resolute and motivated to achieve your goals and be independent. you may not be much interested in love, and if you are, you don’t overlook career either. having a stable and successful future that makes you happy is the key for happiness in your life. it’s important to be focused when working, especially for you. yet, once you know how to balance this tricky energy and get your stuff together, you’ll earn a reputation for being an innovative and original person. you may be quite artistic, creative and emotional, you’ll probably focus your life on self-expression. with the moon in this house, you are most likely going to be independent at work, you'll most likely have your own business. you could possibly work online as well, you could earn money through the internet, or perhaps your job may require you to physically move: you could be a dancer, an actor/actress, you could pursue a career that involves a certain sport, etc. you will get to express your emotions through your job, or perhaps you'll get to help other people with their feelings. you would make a great therapist, nurse, counselor, etc.
your 11th house is in pisces. you probably had problems with your friendships in your early years. you could have been too shy to approach people, hence you struggled to befriend them. or maybe, you used to gossip around, and that led you to lose them. or perhaps, you’re too work-oriented to find some spare time to hang out with others, and hence you end up losing your bond with them. in the best case, you may have quite spiritual / religious friends, or perhaps they’re your soulmates, they were a part of your past life. you have this habit of idealizing them a bit; that is, you may be too picky in choosing your friends. you’re probably looking for the type of friend that’d literally throw themselves under a car to save you, but it’s hard to actually find someone like that. open up more and accept others as they are. you don’t necessarily need to be with them for a long time, but make sure to learn your lessons from them.
lastly, your 12th house is in the sign of taurus, with also saturn and jupiter placed there. you may feel attracted to spirituality, but you’re quite lazy to actually dive into it. I feel like at first you may be quite skeptical about your abilities, but as time goes by you become more open-minded and in tune with your higher self. once you understand your true power, you'll become very spiritual and intuitive. you'll have lots of meaningful dreams, possibly prophetic dreams that could warn you about the future. you may be able to perceive and talk to higher entities such as spirits, and you could become a master at manifestation. with a positive attitude, you'll be able to attract everything you want in your life, especially finances and love thanks to taurus in the cusp of the 12th house.
❤️ love life, soulmates
in love you attract sagittarius, virgo, scorpio and aquarius placements. your future spouse may also have prominent sagittarius placements; you need someone who’s charming, respectful, interesting and polite, but that can also stand up for themselves with no hesitation. you’re also into the magnetic, sexy type. you’re looking for someone independent, but that wouldn’t mind dedicating their time to you. you may feel unlucky in love, as your sagittarius descendant makes you attract people that are usually unavailable, whether it’s physically (they’re abroad) or emotionally. you may marry someone of a different culture/country/religion from yours. you may also meet and marry abroad or during a vacation. they could also be someone very well known in their career field, or perhaps they may even be famous. you could also meet them in a place where people usually relax, such as a bar or at the restaurant, and it will most likely be love at first sight. your children will most probably have very prominent mercurian energy, hence virgo or gemini; they’ll love to learn new things, they'll be very witty and ask multiple questions, as they will be very intelligent. yet, they could be a bit too talkative, and could have a tendency to gossip.
👶🏻 family life
your mother is probably very hard-working, and she has a strong role in your family. she loves being spoiled and appreciated, together with receiving attention. yet, she could sometimes be quite superficial because of that, but deep down she’s very romantic and mannered. she may have leo placements, or maybe aquarius, cancer, scorpio or capricorn. your father is a bit more unpredictable, he could be moody and therefore you may argue with him more often, and he might be an aquarius or have any type of fire/water placement in his chart. yet, he also has a very sweet and outgoing side to him that he may struggle to let out. if you have siblings, they’re probably leos/fire signs. you have a very pleasant relationship with them, you're all very playful and generous and you used to always stand up for each other, even though there could have been a bit of competition.
📊 career
as I’ve already mentioned above, you most likely have great communication skills and writing abilities. you’re very logical and precise, you’d definitely do well in a field that requires calm and organization. I can also picture you being an amazing teacher or even professor. based on your other placements, you could also do well at literally any creative career! you may be a dancer, a singer, or even something more complex like a creative director. otherwise, you could also be successful as a designer of any kind, an architect, a scientist… something that allows you to be mostly independent, but that can still guarantee you mental stimulation and a decent income, and that also allows you to use your creative venusian energy. I also see you working in the medical field, especially as a therapist, a psychologist, a nurse... anything that allows you to help other people's mental health. your future career could also include spirituality, such as yoga, astrology... you may be a medium, a tarot reader, a fortune teller, etc.
👕 fashion sense, style analysis
keyword for your wardrobe: black. every leo venus loves black, it's probably my favorite love story. after all, it's such a versatile color! it can be both badass and classy, how can I blame you. you may also have a thing for anything that looks luxury and high quality; you probably enjoy wearing designer brands, especially in your belts and bags. you may also like wearing fitted clothes, even just simple skinny jeans or tight tops. aside from black, you could as well use white and bold colours like gold, hot pink etc. also, you may as well be into pastel colors, and you could like following fashion trends.
👁 past life, life purpose
in your past life, you were very career-oriented. you were probably extremely successful at work, it was your priority. you could have even been someone important for your career, who knows. yet, this lifetime you don't need to focus on work anymore, you're already a master at it. now, you need to solve your issues with your family and create a family of your own to fully accomplish your life purpose. there may be some ups and downs, but this is what your soul has to learn in this lifetime.
🤔 major transits analysis / august 18
jupiter is current in aquarius, meaning that it's transiting your 10th house conjunct your pisces moon. this is an extremely positive time for you! in fact, having the planet of abundance and luck conjunct the planet of energy means that you're motivated to work hard and achieve your goals! it's the best time to start a diet, a workout routine, study, dive into a new hobby... your vibration is much higher these days, therefore it's the best time for you to manifest.
🧿 manifest what you want, secret skills
you’re very in contact with your spirituality, making you more sensitive to higher affirmations. you have the ability to visualize what you want. that’s the key to activate the loa: travel with your fantasy, and visualize what you desire. do you want a new car? imagine yourself doing road-trips on that car. a new phone? visualize yourself making calls with that phone. you can even literally create a story involving those topics and it will come true. you can also help yourself by writing and listening to your own affirmations, maybe covered up by some music. in this way, you'll develop a more optimistic mindset and you'll be able to attract more positivity in your life. you just have to believe in your power!
and this is it! thank you again for booking a reading, hope it resonated with you :)

10 Things I Hate About Tsuki pt.4
I'm on the verge of a category 4 mental breakdown. I have not studied for my ap bio final on the 10th and 11th nor the ap bio exam on the 14. I wrote this tho. I hope you enjoy. Send me one shot requests if you want. as always a big thank you to the writers of 10 thing I hate about you
transition song 1- pink socks by mickey darling
transition song 2- go home. play music. feel better. by Michael Cera Palin
transition song 2- I forgot to take my meds today by Prince Daddy and The Hyena
“I’m starting to think like my car more than me Tsuki.” Tadashi laughed when they saw Tsuki leaning against their car again.
“What can I saw she’s beautiful.” Kei smirked.
“Assuming my car’s pronouns now huh. How will I ever forgive you.” Tadashi crossed their arms.
Sugawara and Akaashi came up behind Tadashi and laughed. Kei looked down in embarrassment.
“Is this guy bothering you Yama?” Suga said.
“No it’s fine.” Tadashi unlocked the car, “get in we’ll be done in a second.”
They climbed into the car leaving Tadashi and Kei alone again.
“Look I’m sorry if my friends embarrassed you. They can be a lot sometimes.” Tadashi’s suddenly turned sympathetic.
“I’m sorry too for possibly misgendering your car,” Tadashi snorted at that, “or you.”
Tadashi was touched. No one, other than family or friend, had ever felt that bad about misgendering them.
“I use he/they but on some days I lean more to one or the other. Today it’s they but you could really use either.”
“Thanks for telling me. Now will you tell me if you will go to Kuroo’s party with me.”
“You were just being nice to try and take me out. Why are you so annoying. I don’t understand.” Tadashi snapped.
“Pick you up at 9 then.”
“Shut the hell up”
You say you just wanna be friends
And I’m not mad, bitch I’m livid
So now I’ve been fucking all of your friends
Every night, cause I’m desperate
“Terushima!” Kei yelled down the hall.
“What do you want glasses?” Terushima spit back.
“He’s too much trouble. I don’t care if you want to rail his brother, but I was $100 a day if you want me to keep doing this.” Kei snapped.
He had Terushima against his locker and held him there with one arm.
“Fine just let go of me. I don’t want you ruining my perfect body for my photoshoot tomorrow.”
After being released, he handed Kei $600 for payment in advance. Kei smirked. He had Terushima in the palm of his hand.
I will not falter, I will not budge
I will stop trying to say it doesn’t matter so much
Take on a cause, hold for the applause
Impulsive vanity’s a common crutch
“Hi I’m Hinata,” he stuck his hand out to Kei, “So we are the real masterminds behind this operation. Terushima is just a pawn.”
“I asked him to pay you so Hinata could really date Kageyama.” Bokuto said.
They had stopped him during another science lab.
“Jesus Christ,” Kei muttered going back to the beakers in front of him.
“Wait, please, I can help. I’ll get Kageyama to tell me what Yamaguchi likes so you know what he likes.” Hinata grabbed his arm.
“Look,” Kei yanked Hinata’s hand off his arm, “I don’t care as long as I’m still getting paid.”
“Hey Kageyama I need your help. So I got this guy to try to take out Yamaguchi but I need to know what your brother likes.”
“You act like I care to know everything about them. Also it’s sibling not brother. We need to search their room.”
Later in Yamaguchi’s room, Hitana went through stacks of CDs as Kageyama rummaged through his closet and drawers.
“Why do they dress like this?” Kageyama sighed, “it’s like they don’t want anyone to date them.”
Hinata came to help Kageyama after making a list of bands.
“I mean it’s not that bad,” Hinata pulled an item out of the closet, “I would wear this.”
Kageyama blushed upon seeing the skirt he held up. It wasn’t anything against skirt wearing, no. He was just imagining Hinata’s legs in the skirt. No, bad brain!
Later that day Hinata handed Kei the list of likes. It included Wes Anderson films, punk and soft music, Vietnamese food, the color black, and…blonds. At the bottom of the list was a date: Prince Daddy and They Hyena at Club Skunk, April 24th. Kei shrugged. Why not go?
I forgot to take my meds today
I can’t believe it’s only Tuesday
Figures it hit me on the highway
I forgot to take my meds today
Kei walked into the club. He wished he had just stayed home. He definitely should have looked into the band before coming. Screams and heavy bass filled the room.
He went to the bar to get a water and hopped it would calm his nerves. He almost choked on his water when he saw Tadashi.
He bounced along to the song (I imagine it to be Trashville 1/3) while holding onto another boy’s arm. They sang along together. After the attitude, the outfit drew his attention next. He wore a cropped black turtleneck with black ripped mom jeans. His hair was up in a bun showing off his various piercings. Every time Tadashi raised his arms, the shirt revealed more of this chest.
Tadashi whispered something to his friend then made his way to the bar. Kei leaned his back against the bar. Tadashi saw him and rolled his eyes.
“Are you following me?” Tadashi snapped crossing his hands over his chest.
“Can’t I just come see a band I like in concert. I mean they aren’t Ashes to Amber but their good.” Kei smiled at him.
“You know who Ashes to Amber is. Well, you really are full of surprises aren’t you.” Tadashi drank the water the bartender handed him.
Kei followed him back to the stage to where Suga was standing. They went back to dancing.
“You know,” the song ended and the room went quite without him noticing,” I was watching you out there and I’ve never seen you look so hot.”
People around them laughed, and these the lead singer noticed and poorly held back a smile. Kei blushed. It wasn’t really a lie. If they weren’t somewhere so crowded Kei would have taken Tadashi on the closest table. Kei pushed the idea quickly from his mind as the song restarted.
“Come to Kurro’s party with me, please?” He pulled Tadashi close.
“What is with you and this” he groaned.
“I just want to have fun with you.” Kei was being honest even if he was being paid.
“Maybe.” Tadashi smirked.
“I’ll pick you up at 9 then.”
“I said maybe”

reposting and pinning this
being a straight black trans guy is really weird. there’s so many intersections of experience, and not in the dumb “technically i can reclaim this axis of oppression” level of terminally logged in lgbt person i mean it in a “going about my life” way.
for starters, idt i ever “hated” being a woman, i don’t really relate to that trans narrative, i just realized it was an identity that became increasingly frustrating to align with and moved on to a label that finally fit me. being a black girl was cool, despite all the social toll that came with it, black girls have contributed so much to popular culture and even to our own communities, so there was no real reason for me to dislike it other than “it just doesn’t feel like me anymore” and i like it that way. i have a very comfortable relationship with both black girlhood and black manhood, if anyone asks i’d probably fall under that “i remember being convinced i was a little boy. not knowing why my parents didn’t see it too and insisted on treating me like a little girl.” narrative that seems to be the narrative a lot of "trans stories that won’t make cis people uncomfortably avert their gaze” media. i had (and still do have) genuine interests in a lot of traditionally masculine aesthetics, music, career paths, and hobbies, but i don’t recall ever feeling disgusted, embarrassed, or insecure parts of my life where i was identifying as / being coerced into woman aligned individuality, and the strained relationship i had with my mother because of these things, like a lot of trans guys (understandably) seem to be with theirs. this proves for disconnect occasionally, between who i want to be and who i actually am, but the more time goes by the less i give a shit about who thinks what. i don’t take shit from anyone as a guy because i didn’t do it as a chick, which leads for a lot of leeway in being comfortable with who i was and who i currently am.
i still have a lot of pleasant associations with being a gay woman, i probably wouldn’t be where i am today without a lot of the gnc lesbians and trans bi women, i still feel a sense of community with that identity (never to the point of being invasive, i hope.) i’m never not going to get sentimental about a woman being happy with another woman, comfortable in their own skin; that’s just how my brain is default-wired at this point. i’m not offended by women (cishet or otherwise) not wanting me in their spaces (it’s honestly more validating than being seen as a defanged token feminist boy who will bring no harm or whatever, i much prefer people hearing about me or holding a conversation with me and deciding what direction they want to take with me based on those things, like you would any other human being) but it’s still cool to know that i can have these feelings– still be deeply involved and still have feelings for this culture i’ve ingrained in myself from a young age– and not feel like an intruder or outsider, despite being a straight dude, i’m always going to have a pretty firm grasp of gay culture and won’t get freaked out by people putting the sex back in homosexual like a lot of cishets and even a lot of gnc tenderkweers tend to get every 3 months. it’s honestly been the side of gay culture that i’ve always preferred lol.
i call a lot of bullshit on this “toxic masculinity intricate rituals” stuff that’s come into public conscious in the last couple of years or so as well, not only was it mostly popularized by MRAs (around the same time as public concious on ellior rodger and incel/chad terminology as well…shoulda been a red flag from the beginning imo) not just because it frames men as the ones who suffer the most due to their own actions rather than the women and children they torture on a daily basis, but it’s also been used to racially pathologize the boundaries and mannerisms i have that my (racist) white partners have been uncomfortable with in the past. your weird entitled impulse to police my body and the way i present myself in a way i genuinely enjoy and am comfortable is not remotely subtle, and the mental gymnastics behind your desires to impress your frat buddies does not excuse you brutalizing women on a daily basis and shaming children to the point they have serious issues coping with a lot of hardships that face them later in life.
the most visible majority of the trans masc community is white dudes and they all fucking suck. they’re terrible to women, trans nonbinary and cis, are either extremely liberal in their political stances or simply never talk about anything relating to it at all (and they all have garbage taste in fashion and music, i know that’s kinda petty but i think i’m allowed to be rude to people who try to make wanting to transition into a humanstuck karkat gijinka a universal experience and hozier and constantly self infantalize and weaponize their own softness while expecting everyone else on the planet to wait on them hand and foot.) i’ve met maybe 3 good white trans guys in my life and one of them i’ve been friends with since high school, it really put me off transitioning all together because i was raised mostly by women and a lot of my idols have been women since i was a kid (and even if this weren’t the case, colonialist concepts of respect / equality / gender in general are very different from nonwhite cultures, so even if i wasn’t constantly in immediate proximity of women or didn’t have any “significant” woman figures in my life it would stil feel very weird and removed.)
none of this, of course, is to imply that black men aren’t horrendously misogynistic (especially towards black women. lbr, mostly towards black women, lol. this is another one of those weird intersections, knowing that misogyny is not exclusively a product of white supremacy but that colonialism has definitely catalyzed it.) or that black men won’t use their race to get out of being rightfully accused of misogyny similar to the ways a lot of white gay people use their sexualities as a get out of jail free card, but i really don’t understand white trans guys like this. i think they realize they’re oppressed and cling to it as a personality trait, and when anyone calls them on it they get really offended cus they have nothing else to fall back on, hence all the gatekeeping and regurgitated TERF rhetoric (which any and all TME people have been guilty of, at some point, and a lot of whom unfortunately are still doing as i write up this post) and truscum antics. this nonsense got so bad that it put me off transitioning for like 5 years.
i’m here now, though, and i’m content with it, so i try not to hold too many grudges about it even if it is a bit frustrating and put me behind a lot of my peers. i’m mosly just focusing on how many doors open to you when you’re finally comfortable in your own skin lol.

ABOUT THE MUN.  are ya in a relationship? you think i can convince someone to do that?
hello, it’s me again. i tired myself out with haisley’s so jaq’s if going to be considerably shorter. let’s go.
BIO.  aaaahhhhhhhhhh shhiiittttt *begins understanding things*
jacques daingerfield was born in france to two very average parents. like his mother was a teacher and his father was a financial analyst. nothing wild or crazy going on there, and to top it off he was the middle child, and well, you can tell.
he has four siblings. he was the third kid, and well, he spent most of his childhood fighting for any kind of attention, usually by making inappropriate little jokes or you know, fart noises. yes his parents were generally exasperated with him, but that behavior made sure they paid attention to him. and honestly that was all jacques wanted.
again, jacques had a pretty average upbringing. he went to school, he was actually pretty popular among his peers despite being so annoying (definitely very unpopular amongst his teachers for generally that class clown that sat in the back and always interrupted), and he excelled academically without really trying too much. well, in every subject but english funnily enough. jaq always struggled in english, which is why it was incredibly ironic that when his parents separated they decided to move to uk with his father. jacques was ten at the time, and he still doesn’t understand the decision.
so yes, jacques was the kid in class with the weird name and weirder accent who could barely communicate with his classmates. it didn’t take long for them to stop really trying to pronounce ‘jacques’ properly. jacques became jack without much input on his part, and by the time jacques had got enough of a handle on the english language to correct them the americanized name had already stuck. even at nine jacques was smart enough to know that insisting on the correct french pronunciation of his name just kind of made him sound like a pretentious french asshole, so instead he spun it. he embraced it. started signing all of his papers and assignments with ‘jaq’ with a q like it was his brand or something. even as a child jaq will give himself credit for being clever af.
it actually worked pretty well honestly. the older jaq got the more he grew into himself, and the more comfortable he got with the english language. honestly a lot of how jaq learned english was through video games and youtube videos and cartoons, like those were some of his go to resources. spent a lot of time playing games with strangers and tested his english out with colourful trash talk. actually started his first ever youtube channel was basically that as just a way to practice his english a bit. all he did on there was play video games, and honesty he didn’t even show his face. the channel wasn’t that popular, but he had fun making it.
jaq on the other hand had gained popularity by the time he was in middle school. granted, that popularity was mostly due to the fact that he had a popular older brother and sister, was french and therefore ‘cute’ (jaq didn’t pretend to understand how girls brains worked then, and he still doesn’t now) and his family always had the newest gaming system at their household, and even then it wasn’t wild popularity. but it was enough that barely anyone teased him for his thick french accent anymore, and yk what jaq would take it. he weirdly got even more popular with the guys in his grade when they found out about his youtube channel. they found it funny, and they would generally watch his videos and come tell him about their favourite parts later, ask him about how he got past a certain level or learned a certain cheat. jaq soaked up their admiration like a sponge, right into his ego. they were the beginning of jaq getting the big head he proudly sports today.
that said for most second form jaq’s youtube channel was just a hobby. something he did for fun. like i said earlier, jaq actually did really well in school and his parents always expected him to follow in his father’s footsteps and go into something in business. after all, it would be an easy transition with both french and english under his belt. they knew he would excel.
but then he met madi. and somehow the two started doing videos together for fun, and it quickly expanded into something a lot bigger. something that jaq wouldn’t have even dreamed of doing before. suddenly the picture perfect future he had planned for himself just seemed boring in comparison to what he and madi had going on, and so jaq easily picked that instead. his parents weren’t all that happy about it, of course, after all jaq had full scholarships to some schools just waiting for him to accept and he ignored all of them in favour of making videos of him playing games online. they still don’t understand, but jaq doesn’t really need them too. he’s happy with what he’s doing and he figures he can always go into business when he’s old and boring.
he moved out of his parents house straight into an apartment with madi when things between them started getting really tough. they can’t really speak without the whole ‘we’re so disappointed in you’ conversation coming up so jaq doesn’t really speak to them unless he has to. both of his older siblings went into business like their parents wanted, and his younger siblings are on the same path. his little sister wants to be just like him though, and that warms his heart tbh.
has come to TWENTIES to have a good time! wants to break into the acting industry like dylan o’brien and maybe show his parents that a ‘real’ career can come from something like this. his parents begged him not to come on this show and embarrass them so that is definitely what he’s about to do.
HEADCANNONS. there are a lot of people who need to shut up.  not me though
thinks he’s funny! sometimes he is
will answer to jacques, jaq, jaqi, or q! you can call him daingerfield if you want but not many people do
fun fact, made his instagram handle as a joke, much like awkwafina. was just supposed to a little dig about how many times he has to say ‘jack with a q’ whenever someone spells his name. but now the dangerous q is his brand, and just finds it really dumb and funny.
a bit of a kleptomaniac. will swipe something he thinks is cool mostly just to do it. has very little impulse control. loves to pull pranks and generally make trouble, but not in a way that will ever actually hurt anybody because he’s not a whole idiot. not the biggest fan of cops.
is an artist. will spray paint your walls and probably has spray painted the walls of his apartment. will doodle weird things all over napkins or receipts or whatever he can get his hands on. has drawn out little video game characters he wants to be in his future games, and actually is considering going to school for a video game programming degree just for that. the funny thing is with his grades he could probably do it. is teaching himself coding in the mean time.
the type of person to start drumming on the counter or desk with his hands or like pencils or pens when he’s bored. will make up fun little raps on the spot.
incredibly intelligent but doesn’t like to talk about it. would much rather act dumb than act like he has any braincells. he doesn’t want to give anyone expectations.
all the youtube success has definitely gone to his head in the way that?? he just thinks they’re untouchable like he cannot compute the concept of their channel failing or their future endeavors failing. definitely thinks that TWENTIES will lead to much bigger things for them. will walk into his future acting auditions like he’s the shit.
an introvert with extrovert tendencies. needs to be by himself to chill out and recharge but can like work a room honestly. can make friends pretty much everywhere he goes. a bit of a charmer when he wants to be.
a smoker unfortunately. also a bit of a stoner. definitely has a juul on him at all times, like i said he tends to keep it behind his ear and then be like ???? where’s my juul.
needs glasses but refuses to wear them. is very stubborn about it tbh. does not want to get contacts because he hates the idea of putting something into his eye. so you can catch him squinting sometimes like a fool.
one of the first things he treated himself to with his first big youtube check like outside of rent was a tattoo! it’s on his ribs and it’s just a drawing he did himself but he loves it and it was the start of an addiction. he has about five. also has a few helix and orbital piercings on his left ear.
another muse of mine with a tiktok, but jaq just uses his to make music for the most part. will turn the mickey mouse club house theme song into bars! (if you’ve seen that tiktok,,,, ily)
a big nerd. reads comic books. watches anime. will get very reasonably upset about the avatar the last airbender movie whenever it’s brought up.
can cook really well, but whenever he does it it’s pure chaos. like julian/brad leone in the kitchen for sure. but the food comes out tasting really good, so???
is jewish af. knows a bit of hebrew and a bit of yiddish because of his grandparents mostly. is kind of ??? a lot more lenient with things now that he’s not around his parents as often i’m ngl.
brings his ds everywhere and you can literally catch him on the bus vaping and playing animal crossing because he hasn’t bothered to get a american license yet
is always willing to take a picture with a subscribers and they’re always the weirdest thing. there are pictures of subscribers like pretending to stab him in the eye. prom pose pictures with subscribers. the weirder the better tbh
has gone to vidcon a few years in a row, always has the wildest time. there is video footage of him waking up in some strangers bathtub with a feather boa around his neck. it’s probably on instagram.
is also bi af.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.  very proud to announce that i am officially a lost cause!

The sun sets on another day - TRSNS fanfic
@redstone-sun‘s fic fucked me up so I did what I know and wrote about it to cope asdfghjhgf
the basic summary of this fic: Mumbo has a Bad Day(TM) and we stan Good Guy Iskall
AO3 Link
On days like these, Mumbo felt his guilt like concrete weights tied tight around his throat.
The actual impulses and desires to obey that sanguine call no longer affected him as often as they used to―perhaps out of sheer necessity rather than true recovery, but the fine details didn’t matter. Not to Mumbo at least. The intrusive thoughts and feelings, however, were another story.
Sometimes he wished he could just press a button and fix all of his problems like one would a faulty machine, force him through some kind of psychological reboot. His prescribed process was tedious enough as it was; exposure therapy was a snail’s race by nature, and the transitions were mind-numbingly gradual. From mentions of redstone, to discussions of redstone, to looking at redstone, to touching redstone, to holding redstone, to――
And so on and so forth.
Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and the process was anything but linear and orderly. For a long while it felt like every step he took forward, something would send him three steps and a stumble back. One moment he was setting up semi-complex circuits from memory in his obsidian home, the next Grian would make an off-hand comment about a test contraption one of the hermits built nearly killing him and Mumbo would find himself involuntarily wishing it had.
Those moments scared him. He knew that it wasn’t really him thinking then, that it was just some heinous, corrupted part of him, some deep innate brand of the Red Sun festering behind his eyes. But it wasn’t any less terrifying to catch himself tempted by the crimson voice in the back of his mind that told him he didn’t belong in the overworld, that he needed to continue wiring in the quartz covered plains or he’d never be satisfied, to beg and steal and lie and cheat if it meant getting back to the Sun’s dimension, that if anyone got in his way he had to kill kill kill kill kilL KILL KILL KILL KILL K―
. . .
Those nights, Mumbo felt pain beyond anything he’d known before, from the crescent welts of his fingernails dug deep into the meat of his forearms, to the once-foreign hopelessness that left him wondering why anyone thought he was worth saving anymore.
--------------------------------------------
On days like these, Mumbo found himself convinced that he’d never be released from his blood-stained binds.
It hurt more than he cared to admit, having redstone so intrinsically ruined for him. Sure, he had brute-forced his way into standing it enough to look over blueprints with Iskall and play with it like a child when he was alone, but it was never the same. Nothing compared to the satisfaction of improving on an existing design, nor the pride and excitement of inventing something entirely new.
Inventions. Redstone was such a progressive material, a resource far beyond any of the hermits’ understanding. It was able to do just about anything if only someone could crack the code to get there. Most of them already knew of the wonders it could provide--plenty of the hermits used redstone-based bionics, or at the very least a form of enhancement.
Iskall was no stranger to them, obviously. Perhaps Mumbo shouldn’t have been surprised, then, when the man came to him amidst his wallowing with a stack of crudely arranged notes in hand. He was somehow more chipper and cheeky than usual if the bright smile on his face was anything to go by. There was a proud sort of flourish as he handed the papers to Mumbo, who sat with wariness and confusion. That apprehension, however, was quickly replaced with curiosity.
Blueprints and notes regarding the conception of redstone-powered contraptions and devices would typically be a quick read for Mumbo, but even having been friends with Iskall and Grian for quite some time, there was no way to scan through the chicken-scratch handwriting and less-than discernible doodles in a short amount of time.
Mumbo’s initial attempt at cracking the code that was Iskall’s notes was interrupted not ten seconds in when two loaves of bread, an apple, and a bottle of water was set down in front of him, making him flinch slightly. He stared at the selection for a moment, mouth suddenly dry, before nodding his thanks and reaching for the apple. It was in that instant that Mumbo realized he didn’t remember the last time he had something to eat and swallowed down his embarrassment.
The two men soon fell into silence as Mumbo worked through the notes bit by bit, often pausing to right papers that had somehow folded or flipped upside down in Iskall’s attempt to organize them. Though it took a while, a careful read through informed Mumbo of Iskall’s plans to research a possibility of mechanically repairing his vocal cords.
There was a prominent section on the usage of prismarine crystals and diamond powder to color match the box with his eye prosthetic, and another that explored the possibility of controllable pitch and volume settings.
(In a better scenario, Mumbo would have been terrified at the possibilities that would come with giving Iskall such power, and even now he wondered who the first prank victim would be.)
All of it was quite clearly in the early stages of development, but Mumbo could help but brighten up at the thought of Iskall being able to talk again. It wasn’t something he liked to think about for long or often, but he missed Iskall’s voice. Before the incident, his friend’s laughs and sly comments were one of the things that helped the days go by, and Mumbo knew he wasn’t the only one who thought so. The man deserved his voice and more for what he’d gone through.
But information on Iskall’s voice-box plans came to an unexpected stop halfway through the stack of notes. Suddenly Mumbo was reading through two different handwriting styles about mechanical joints and synthetic muscle fiber and artificial nerve endings and――
He stopped reading. This section contained far too many things he knew too little about.
Head spinning from unfamiliar jargon, he looked up at Iskall in question.
“F...f-for Gri..ian,” came the harsh rumble from Iskall, startling Mumbo in the process. Both of the men stared at each other for a moment, each sheepish in their own right, before Iskall pulled out a relatively new-looking book and began writing.
[Doc let me take a look at his arm a bit ago and helped me out with the technical stuff. I’m hoping that we can replicate a pair for Grian. Took much more work comin up with this blueprint than it did for my voicebox plan lol ]
Mumbo went from bemused to ecstatic as he read Iskall’s explanation, feeling surprisingly hopeful for the first time in a long time. The sheer thought of his friends getting back what he took from them made his heart swell with guilty joy.
The technician’s part of his brain fired off a million different inquiries about how they could get these plans to work, but his heart ached knowing this was a project he wouldn’t have much part in if any. He didn’t specialize in bionics for one, but even if he felt like dabbling in the expertise for the benefit of his friends, Mumbo didn’t want to get too involved out of fear of relapse.
Especially not after today. He just wasn’t ready.
“These plans are incredible, Iskall.” Mumbo whispered in awe, flipping through both sections of the packet thrice over. A part of him yearned to add notes and suggestions of his own along the margins of the already messy prints, but he swallowed down the eagerness and handed the papers back to Iskall with a shaky hand. Far too fast for him to subdue, bubbling apprehension rose into his chest again as a presence beneath his ribcage scolded him for not ripping the notes to shreds when he had the chance and Mumbo turned away from Iskall in shame. He didn’t even notice himself staring off into the corner of his room until the scratching of a feather pen against paper got his attention again.
[I was hoping you would say that. Wouldn't be Architech patent-worthy without your approval :) ]
Mumbo gave a half-hearted as smile his dear friend stored the notes away in a light blue shulker box he hadn’t seen get brought out. As Iskall packed the box up, a red hot silence burned within the room and Mumbo flushed at the uneasiness of it all, hating the fact that he couldn’t enjoy the company of the people he loved anymore. It made him feel like an ass when he was so unresponsive and caught up in self-pity, but at the same time it felt like acting as if nothing ever happened would be a slap in the face to everyone he wronged. He was halfway through a mental reprimand when Iskall huffed through his nose and came to sit beside him at his birch wood table.
A beat or two passed in silence before a steady hand reached out to fix the uneven part in Mumbo’s hair, smooth out the collar of his dress shirt, and pat him gently on the side of his face. The warmth of Iskall’s hand damn nearly drove Mumbo to tears. With cloudy eyes, he watched as Iskall tilted his head, expression a melancholy mix of fondness and sorrow.
[It’s bad today, huh?]
With a sharp intake of breath and clenched teeth, Mumbo glanced away from Iskall. He’d rather pretend he was fine than admit to the Red Sun’s influence holding strong sway over him today. But before he could come up with something to say, Iskall was already shoving his book back into Mumbo’s hands.
[Don’t try to lie to me, I can see it in your face. And in the stubble on your chin.]
“I…“ Mumbo started, cotton-mouthed and ashamed, closing his eyes to prevent the tears from glossing over his vision.
Sweet scarlet whispers pricked at the back of his head and swirled behind his eyelids, reminding him the Red Sun never sets the Red Sun never sets the Red Sun never sets, and he tensed his jaw to try and drown out the words with a high-pitched strain. The world around him grew warm and tight and dark, and despite his best efforts, the voices seemed to just get louder.
All at once, Mumbo realized that Iskall was pushing at his shoulders and letting out determined, wordless noises as he tried to bring the man from his panic. Mumbo brought down his hands from where he found them pressed firmly against his ears, noticing that his face felt warm and wet. He silently wiped at his cheeks with his sleeve, defeated.
“...Yeah. It is.”
“I-I...It’ss oh-k-kay.” Iskall offered gently, releasing his hold from his friend’s shoulders and sliding them down to his arms as he scanned Mumbo for any more signs of distress. As soon as his hands were free, he reached for his book again.
[It’s a nice day out today. Let’s go for a walk. I’ll shoot Grian a message to meet us in the shopping district.]
Before Mumbo could begin to read, Iskall plucked the book from his hand and began writing frantically, leaving Mumbo to wipe at the heavy tears that pooled over the edge of his eyelids once again.
[Let’s not tell him about my plans yet. I don’t want to get him excited for something that could take months or more to even start on. Promise to keep it a secret for now?]
Mumbo couldn’t help but flash him a warm smile. This man has done so much for both him and Grian even in wake of his own obstacles and responsibilities. There was nothing in this world or the next that Mumbo could offer as retribution.
“Sure thing. You have my word.”
Iskall huffed a laugh, grabbing and immediately shaking Mumbo’s hand with unnecessary earnest.
[Jolly good cheers mate! Let’s get you ready for our stroll, shall we lad? Pip pip!]
With a good-natured roll of his eyes, Mumbo stood from where he’d been sat since early that morning, bones audibly popping from inactivity, and made towards his room to change into a clean white button-up and dress pants, leaving his coat on the bed. It took him a moment to brave the mirror in the corner of his room, but once he could stand to look at his reflection, he made an honest attempt to make himself presentable. After smoothing out the folds and wrinkles in his shirt, Mumbo pulled at his mustache a few times in an attempt to style it, lamenting that he didn’t have the time to shave the shadow from his jaw.
There was a soft, gentle hum from Iskall that got Mumbo’s attention as he exited his room, and he walked closer to read what his friend was saying.
[Handsome.]
Bashful, Mumbo blushed and shut the book. Compliments always made him somewhat embarrassed before, but it hit him much harder nowadays, especially when he felt bad about not being able to clean up as much as he preferred. Despite his self-consciousness, Mumbo was grateful for Iskall’s encouragement and offered a small smile in thanks.
As he and Iskall locked up his house and began the journey towards the shopping district, Mumbo watched him message Grian and shake with silent laughter―probably at something stupid Grian responded with, knowing them, but he was too engrossed in thought to catch what was said―and noticed that for the first time in a while that he couldn’t hear the honeyed song of the Red Sun, nor could he feel its pull deep within his bones.
Truly, Iskall and Grian were gifts from the universe he didn’t deserve. It was a bloody wonder that they still stood by him after all they went through. Despite everything, his friends still cared for him. Still loved him. There was nothing he could do to repay them for that. And nothing could compare to the outpour of adoration he felt for them in return.
--------------------------------------------
On days like these, with his best friends at his sides, Mumbo felt free.

An In-Spectre Calls || Cassie and Morgan
Set before the potw. Morgan meets Cassie for the first time and asks for some slightly spooky help.
There was something pathetic about drifting through Eye of Newt alone. Around Morgan teenage witches squealed over crystal balls and bundles of sage, handmade fliers for a Tarot Tuesday covered the table, taper candles of every color stared down their wicks at all the fuss, and so many purple spined books gleamed out from the shelves. It was all so curated, so proud, so...much nicer than the mess of wax and leaves around Morgan’s kitchen table where she made her own wares. Even Vera, Vera, could afford gilt labels for her smudge sticks. Bitch. Worst of all was knowing that few self respecting witches dared to roll the dice here. They had other, better outlets to send for. But Morgan had left a chunk of her self respect somewhere around trying to connect with her ancestors through a three dollar slice of birthday cake. And the shame of all this, re-stocking from her own competition, watching teenagers exercise more freedom and skill with their gel pens than she had bothered to muster lately--settled around her like the heaviest of blankets. At least if she was miserable, she was safe. Probably.
And so Morgan lingered, bitterly taking mental notes on packaging and pining over books she would not be able to afford for another month or more (Vera saw right through any cash she tried to conjure, every time). She had almost tortured herself to the point of boredom when she spotted a familiar face.
Oh. Oh no. Was this some kind of cosmic trick? Was that--the pro bono exorcist girl? The moon was still in Capricorn, so that was in her favor, and Friday was her lucky day, but having an expert fall into her lap, or at least someone else’s storefront, was not the kind of gift that generally came her way. Morgan stopped and stared at the girl more than was socially appropriate.
Fuck it.
Morgan marched up to her, wares still in hand, and leaned over as unobtrusively as she could into her line of sight. She smiled brightly, too mystified at the possibility before her to contain herself. “Hi! This might be a really strange thing to say, but you’re--Cassie, right?” She lowered her voice. “Exorcist Cassie? I hear things around town. And the targeted ads in my mailbox are just--well, anyway, I could really use an expert’s help with summoning something. Someone.”
If you couldn’t make your own grave dust store-bought was probably fine. Wincing at the price tag mark-up compared with the last place Cassie stopped at to stock up she scanned the rows of jars and tinctures for the last couple of ingredients that had been trashed in transit. Fresh out of ash and with no way to make the stuff without either looking like a serial killer or setting the smoke alarm off. Although, on second thought considering the place she was staying, whatever weirdness she brought with her was likely only the sixth strangest thing in that hotel. Speaking of, the four-dollar hole in her pocket was still stinging from shelling out for those Cheerios late last night. Next stop had to be for something that had actually seen the inside of an oven. With that thought in mind she guessed her next stop would be finding someplace to eat some point. The Thai place she passed last night seemed like a good bet.
Like most of its sister stores around the country this place might have been full of wishful thinkers, but maybe there were a couple things that could do in a pinch. Either way she was limited on options and she doubted there’d be anywhere else offering anything any different. Stooping down to read the price tag of a jar of black salt that caught her attention she registered another person in the vicinity. Assuming it was the owner stopping by she straightened up from her crouch by the jars to stand at full height and grabbed up a jar, about to ask if she had anything a little more specific when she registered her name being mentioned followed by the familiar hushed tones, exorcist. That caught her attention as she seemed to peer over at her interestedly. She seemed earnest enough. It was the eagerness that surprised her. Word got around fast, real fast. Anywhere else the whole thing, the whole business really, was a clandestine operation. The routine, ‘Hey thanks for your services, but get out and let’s never speak of this again’ followed by a swift exit was the norm. Not here though. Here it was practically encouraged almost.
“Uh, yeah. That would be me,” she nodded uncertainty, eyeing the store inventory she was holding. “A summoning? You mean to, you know, deal with something?” It was easy to get lost in translation so she tried to follow it with a gesture that she hoped implied giving the boot, “then I can check into it, sure.”
Morgan couldn’t believe her luck. A real exorcist. A real, helpful, exorcist. She bounced on her feet, resisting the urge to clap her hands with excitement. “I thought I recognized your face! And, whew, that would have been really embarrassing otherwise, accosting some poor random person with words like  ‘exorcist’ and ‘summoning.’” Was she being funny? The image played hilariously in her mind in a terrible sort of way: the total lack of understanding on the stranger’s face, the painfully awkward attempts at saving face. After so many big setbacks, the reach of this stupid, strupid curse, Morgan found herself hard pressed to believe in lucky breaks or happy cooincidences.
(Did that mean her plan was doomed? Oh god, it might be doomed)
“Oh, but, not like--” she mimicked Cassie’s gesture, growing red and speckled with anxiety. Maybe she should have stayed home and brooded over her hot glue gun situation in quiet isolation instead. Sure,  her cat would have still given her judgement eyes from her nest in the bookshelf, but that wouldn’t be half so bad as having this blow up in her face. But like a bad piece of gum on your shoe, Morgan stuck and kept talking.
“I mean, I’ll want them, you know,” She gestured again, “Eventually. But first I want to bring something here. After I’ve gotten the information I need, it should probably go back to wherever, I guess,  but I need to get someone first.”
If Morgan had only sensed the ghost judging her from behind, she might have appreciated how funny her request already was, Cassie’s help or not.
Cassie tilted her head a little, “right,” she nodded with a small laugh. “Hell of an icebreaker, right?” She offered. “Either that or they’d just tell you to call in Zak Bagans,” she mock grimaced.
She watched as Morgan repeated the gesture, still trying to wrap her head around the request.  Okay, so she did mean summoning something, inviting it. It wasn’t totally unheard of, trying to make contact. Mostly for any lingerers that were already there, but actually folding out the welcome mat? That was still a new one, but she still felt that pang of curiosity that something like that would even work, or why anybody would even want it to.
I need to get someone first.
Looks like you already got them, she mused not unkindly, finally acknowledging the second shadow nearby. Cassie hadn’t made eye contact with the figure lurking in the background until then, but when she did it made her stop in her tracks for a second. They were there alright, but weak. Whoever they were, she couldn’t make anything out past the general humanoid shape and occasional incline of their head as they listened in. Like they were stuck in some halfway point. Weird.
They were here, but they weren’t thrilled about it, but what else was new? Cassie gave them a look that she hoped implied later and turned her attention back to Morgan as she weighed up the options. What were the chances here that whatever she said she was going to do it anyway? Pretty high she was willing to bet. Putting the jar back on the shelf decidedly, “you know what...sure,” she agreed. “I mean mostly I’m there pointing out the exit sign, “she admitted, “but can’t hurt to be around. Let you know if you’re getting warmer”, and to step in in the off chance the invisible man back there had any ideas she added after a second glance.
“Hell of an icebreaker, right?” She offered. “Either that or they’d just tell you to call in Zak Bagans,” she mock grimaced.
“Just ‘little white crest things,’ huh?” Morgan replied with a laugh. “I do promise I’m not like this all the time. Sometimes I say things like how are you, and, I don’t know--what nice, normal weather we’re having!”
This was...nice. Almost fun. Morgan began to sweat behind her ears at the thought Fun was the sort of thing she felt she had to trick her way into. Fun was the kind of feeling that hatched big, wild bursts of ‘come and get me while my back is turned you lousy curse’ energy. And, Christ on a cracker, wasn’t she getting ahead of herself? She was talking with Cassie about what amounted to a work thing, not about making friendship bracelets, or going to the Sadie Hawkins dance. Not exactly the stuff of tragedies, even in her own family tree. Could be safe. And if she had managed to shake certain doom for awhile, and since it was doomed to catch up, maybe she should hold it together and enjoy the reprieve. Pretend to be a less disastrous version of herself until later. Hopefully much later. After they found Agnes.
When Cassie agreed to help, Morgan reigned in the impulse to tackle her with relief. “Thank you, so much! You are amazing, and I will compensate you...somehow. I know conjuring money is pretty high on the questionable morality spectrum, but I can also fix things! If it’s in the broken vase category and not the complicated mechanical one, I can definitely fix it. Or with the right material I can make you something really nice. But, again, not too complicated. I’ve spent more time at the archive than my old alchemy books lately, so. And, drinks, or several, burgers even.” Morgan could feel herself running too fast away from her personal disasters. So fast she almost missed what Cassie added, quietly, as not to set any alarms. Invisible man? What?
It shattered Morgan’s loop of thought and made her go rigid. She cast her gaze back, head-turning slowly. What did Cassie mean? Invisible? Was she being followed? Maybe she had triggered something in the universe and now she was going to watch this blow up in her face before she’d even started. This might be how she died--
Morgan looked. Nothing. Not even a shadow. Then again, that might be the whole point of ‘invisible.’ She turned back to Cassie, suddenly feeling like they needed to get somewhere not in the shop. “Um...what do you mean invisible man?” She whispered. “Like...with some kind of glamour? Or--” It came on her so slowly because until now it had seemed laughably impossible. “Do you mean a GHOST?” She squeaked.
“No kidding,” she laughed, “been here a couple days but this place…it’s something else,” she had to admit. Understatement of the new decade, twenty-four hours in and she felt like she had enough for most of her co-workers to have a field day out here. Difference was, for the most part, she had ethics. “Oh hey, no need. I have a day job,” she waved the offers of compensation off, “you’re good.” The day she accepted cash or handouts for this kind of thing would be the day—wait conjuring cash? At some point, she’d have to ask about that-about all of that, but one thing at a time.
Cassie saw the look that crossed Morgan’s expression and frowned for a second in confusion. It was only after the words were out of her mouth that she realized she’d said that last part out loud and immediately felt like backtracking. Shit, way to scare the crap out of them. She could practically see the alarm bells going off in Morgan’s head. Part of her wanted to bluff, tell her she meant as in the general sense but thought better of it. Better not to start off on a lie. It never ended well.
“Okay so, you’ve got one visitor,” she admitted tentatively, “but you’ve got nothing to worry about, they don’t look like much of a threat.” Cassie cast another glance at them as they continued to hover around nearby like a bad smell. Was that an incline of their head at that last comment? “This’d be a very different conversation if there was, trust me.” She hoped that might take a little of the edge off of it. “I’m free today, least I’ve got nothing much planned. I can stop by, deal with the mystery guest over there, try and get contact properly,” figure out if they’re who you’re looking for,” figure out what they wanted and how they even got there like that she added to herself. The longer she looked at the figure the weirder it got. For a second she thought she saw a pair of eyes take shape before they flickered out again. Interesting. “Or if you wanted to wait,” she blinked and brought her attention back to Morgan, “I can hand over some things to keep them out of your hair for a while give you my cell number and you can text me an address or something. Whichever works.” Cassie pulled her cell out from her pocket and opened her bag out to look for what was left her the black salt but came up empty-handed, “crap, the last of it’s in the car,” she murmured and picked the jar of the stuff she was about to buy again and raised her eyebrows at the price tag. Wow, not for forty dollars I’m not. “This stuff keeps them away,” she lifted the jar back up before putting it back down again. “I have some in the car, but regular salt works, just doesn’t last as long.”
“Are you sure?” Morgan pressed. “You’re kind of doing me a big favor…” But Cassie seemed pretty sure of her stance. Morgan couldn’t figure out why. There had to be loads of people who would pay a lot for help like this. Now that the weight of making up for her services was off Morgan’s chest, she could admit she would have pushed her powers to limit to make this happen. Why wouldn’t you try and get something out of the deal?
But Morgan didn’t have time to think about this because of what Cassie said next. You’ve got one visitor. She had really done it. Maybe? Hopefully. “A visitor,” she repeated, dumbfounded. “A ghost kind of visitor, following me around.” What if it was Agnes? Or one of Agnes’ children? Morgan looked back over her shoulder again, just in case willpower alone could bring it into her sight and understanding. When looked back at Cassie, her face was glowing with held back excitement.
“I need to find out who it is,” she said quietly. “In case it’s who I’m looking for. But the other stuff would be good too. This maybe-kind-of isn’t my first time trying this, just the first time that it’s worked.” She looked at the salt jar Cassie Hefted and made a mental note to up her game in that area. Forty dollars for a little jar. Maybe she should start charging more for her candles; this family quest was getting expensive. “I’d like to see the kind of salt you roll with,” she added lightly. “I’ve been using mom’s old kosher salt, but that was before I knew I should be upgrading. What’s in your mix that makes it different? And, would it be unprofessional if I hugged you right now?”
“Just the one,” Cassie repeated as if that would somehow make it any better. “They’re hard to make out though, which means either they’re weaker, like they’re new or they’re on the out.” Another glance towards the mystery figure and she was sure she picked up the indignation coming off from their stance alone. “Okay. If I can get some stuff from the car, find somewhere quiet I can try and get a read on them. Figure out if this is your guy.” Cassie’s eyes followed Morgan’s gaze back to the discarded jar, “it’s different for everybody, but I like a mix. A little rock salt-any salt really-” she added quickly on review, “some chalk and some Obit ashes mixed in there. Helps with the ‘ashes to ashes part’ it’s not the main focus though. The main part is the words and the intent that’s there." Morgan seemed so enthusiastic and hopeful, she hoped she wasn’t setting her up for a loss. She could do it, hazy figure aside, but actually summoning something was still out of her wheelhouse. She just hoped she wasn’t about to be a let down. Cassie thought for a moment before answering, “maybe save it for when we actually ID your friend, or at least get some contact on line one.”
Morgan took out her phone and made notes as Cassie explained her salt recipe. There was a cemetery near the Traveler’s Rest, should be easy to come by the ashes. She didn’t trust her alchemy-brewed stuff to do the trick, not when it came to warding off whatever had come out of that cake. Morgan didn’t know much about what she was getting into, but she was aware she had passed the ‘in over your head’ signpost few miles behind packing up her life and moving to White Crest.
She settled for a thumbs up at Cassie instead of the hug. “Too soon, got it,” she said, laughing it off. “But it’s not about the success. I mean, success would be great, obviously, but I’ve been at this--for good reason!--for three years now, and this is the first time I’ve gotten, like, help from anyone. Even if you have to go back to your very expert drawing board, I’m still appreciative. Really.” Something in her sombered at the truth in those words, three years banging her head against her laptop, three years trying to get out of bed, trying not to derail her life anymore than this stupid curse already had. Three years and now she was at the zero hour. Of course she was grateful for even the illusion of progress. What did she have left to lose this year except her life anyway? Her shitty jobs? But that wasn’t the right mindset. Think positive. Move forward. She pepped herself up and headed for the door. “So! Let’s go figure this out!”
Mulling over what Morgan had said. About this being the first time anybody had offered some actual help rankled a little. If you could kick them out it stood to reason there was a way to call them up. It might actually be useful for a few things. Maybe if they were lucky whoever she was trying to get hold of was actually still around, strange as that was to say considering, they could actually make contact. “Three years?” Cassie felt her eyebrows raise involuntarily at that information. “Well, least you’ve got it now, the help I mean. If at first you don’t succeed get mad and try again,” she joked. Even if this didn’t go down well first time around, she had a more than a little healthy curiosity at the idea of something like that actually working. “You must really need this guy for something.” Not about to pry, but you didn’t spend that time trying over something trivial. Following Morgan’s lead and heading outside and back out towards where her car was parked Cassie took out her keys and grabbed the duffle bag out from the trunk and draped it over one shoulder. She shifted the weight a little and used her free hand and lifted up a piece of the padding covering the spare tyre space. “One second. I just need a couple things.” Cassie grabbed up a few loose items and stuffed them inside the bag, “this might help identify Mr Mysterio. Get a better signal and figure out if this is your guy.” Closing the trunk over again she turning back to Morgan with a smile. “Okay, and we’re all set. Lead the way.”
“L-lead the way,” Morgan repeated, hoping that repetition would rattle something into place. “To the ghost place, that--would make sense.” She began to walk in the general direction of the traveler’s rest. “But, it’s really interesting you should say that. Because, there’s my room at the Traveler’s Rest where I do most things right now, and there’s Al’s where I did the spell. Or I think I did.” Her cheeks were growing hot again. This had all seemed reasonable, even expected in the moment, but preparing to say it out loud, she suddenly felt like an idiot. “I’m working from scratch with this, but there was a spell on google that seemed to have a familiar structure to it, and I picked the right day, I checked the moon, and all that for maximum potency. But, there might have been...cake involved. And admittedly, that seemed like an interesting ask for a request from the beyond. I don’t know if I should take you to the spot where it happened, or if we just need to duck into my room so the muggles won’t stare at us since they’re supposed to be drawn to me and not the place?” Her voice rose higher as she spoke, struggling to maintain the very logical order of planning she had taken the trouble of going to. “Anyways, it’s...all the same direction. Just a little more--this way. And I can pull up the spell, if that helps.”
“That’s where I live-well, I don’t live there. I’m staying there, or I have a room there anyway.” Cassie wasn’t staying here she reminded herself. It was temporary like everywhere else. “That works,” she looked back over at Morgan with a nod, “or if you wanted somewhere more out in the open, there’s Al’s.” That one was the least favourite option. She hated an audience to this stuff. Growing up it was something to be buried away, not broadcast in public. It was hard to get out of that way of thinking. Old habits died hard that way. “Not sure what the rules are for summoning ghosts in the diner though. Might be a no shirt, no shoes, ghosts, no service,” she joked. Cake? Wait, how did cake figure into it? Okay, that was a question for a little later. Not the time. There was her least favourite word in this kind of context; Google. Hypocritical as that was, she’d done the same thing back before she put her foot down with her parents and got someone that actually knew what they were doing to step in. Ray was a cantankerous jerk that first day, but he knew his stuff. Saved her getting fried anyway. “Google kind of sucks for anything with ghosts. First removal invocation I looked up there had a chunk of it missing,” she admitted. “I was twenty-two and stupid,” she made a brief grimace, “good thing I asked somebody else or I wouldn’t be talking to you. Looks like something might’ve worked, don’t think your friend has been hanging around here all that long. What did this spell on google look like?” Cassie asked, curious now. Maybe it was some sort of banishment circle gone wrong, like they’d copied it wrong, got the opposite effect. Who knew at this point.
“Yeah, I guess it’s hard to call that living, huh?” Morgan said. “Home-sweet-not-home it is.” They continued the journey together, and Morgan told her everything she could about the spell. She had recognized one of the sigls as something she’d seen in an invocation book. She couldn’t remember what the book had said it was for exactly, but the sighting had given her hope. The plan had been to harness the energy of familiarity to reach out to other spirits who had that energy in common. So, her birthday, the land where the people she was looking for had lived, and a birthday cake, which commemorated the continuation of her family. A little fire, a few words, a little saliva to create a taste of life and boom, call made, familial tether climbed, ancestors summoned. She hadn’t noticed or felt anything different at the time. She had assumed she had done something wrong, or supernatural google wasn’t quite on par with her needs as she’d hoped. She showed Cassie a screenshot and went on. She was trying to get in touch with some ancestors. She had some unfinished business with them, funny, right? Only her magical department wasn’t so much in parting the veils or whatever as it was turning stuff into different stuff. As they neared the Traveler’s Rest, she fished around in her pocket for her old set of keys. She plopped them onto her pop socket and gestured. The keys shaped themselves into a metal cuff, a robot figurine. She made it float before coaxing the metal back into keys again. “Neat, right?”
Morgan’s things were splayed all over her room, two large suitcases worth, seemingly made larger by the cramped space. Morgan cleared a spot in the middle of the floor. “I have some Arizona Tea in the mini fridge if you want any. But why not first things first? How do we talk to my visitor friend?”
They were keys. They were keys and then they weren’t and then they were in the air. Then they were keys again and that’s the moment life stopped making sense for a second.
Neat, right?
That was one word for it. Cassie couldn’t even nod, just stood there in stunned silence and stared at the keys in Morgan’s hand as she opened the door out and stepped inside. Talking about that kind of thing was once thing, but seeing it in front of her? Whole different ball game. “…Sounds-sounds, yeah,” she found herself saying, her voice sounding a little far away. Reality snapped back again with a bang and she remembered what she was even there for. Right, focus. The way Morgan had been talking and judging from the picture she saw it sounded more and more like a variation of a banishment circle. An inverted one maybe. First thing was first, making contact.
“Oh, that part’s easy,” right, get it together. The solution to that particular snag was simple. “One second,” Cassie dug out a pen and a scrap of paper and scrawled down the alphabet and placed it on the nearest flat surface she could find. “Just needed some quiet first.”
Thank you Stranger Things, Cassie stepped back and addressed the mystery guest, “if you want to just point to tell me what your-” she didn’t get to finish that sentence before the figure darted to the paper and the pen laying beside it. They jabbed their hand in an attempt to move the Biro and watched as they seemed to grow frustrated in their attempts. Wow, they really were weak. Usually most ghosts could conjure up just enough energy to move a biro a couple centimetre across a page for all of ten seconds. “Or, if you want, you can just point. If it’s easier,” seemed they took that as a challenge and the pen started to shift, “…Okay,” she gestured, giving the go-ahead and waited as they pointed over to each letter.
W.A.N.T….F.R...
Cassie turned back to Morgan once she figured out the gist of it. “They want to know what you want,” when they started up again.
L.E.T.G.O
Oh. Fuck. Morgan took all of her attempts to get in touch with the dead very seriously, it was kind of a matter of life and death at this point, but whatever she had hoped for at the end of each attempt, it didn’t look anything like this. Cassie was sitting with a freaking piece of paper from a notebook and a ballpoint pen, nothing special or consecrated, just practical. And it was moving. Moving all by itself. It was shaking, like the hand holding it was too upset or too weak to hold it together properly. Morgan shifted away from it on the floor. Seeing this invisible force want things, demand things, show--feeling made her uncomfortable in a way she didn’t want to unpack. Wasn’t that what they had always been? And what did it really change about what she needed anyway?
“Um, okay,” she breathed, keeping her voice steady with effort. “That’s nice. Good to know. Sorry you’ve been...here, for so long. But I am going to need some information from you first before we can do that. Okay?” She squared her shoulders back and tried to adopt the kind of voice she used on her freshmen college students. “Now, who are you? What’s your name?”
Watching Morgan move away from the sheet of paper as though it was contagious Cassie realised, she had forgotten how this kind of thing might look to an outsider. What was grade school stuff to her was the stuff of nightmares to somebody else. She recognised that weird waxy looking shade Morgan had paled to and Should’ve just asked them to point. Tell, don’t show this time.
Cassie offered Morgan a look of encouragement as the mystery guest responded, Floor’s all your,s and looked over to their guest who listened and inclined their head as if they were studying her. They folded their arms over for a few moments before answering as thought they were a few moments away from doing the opposite and b an ass. Cassie shot them a look and looked at Morgan again then as the pen began to move again. A lot less stable than before as they slowly spelled the words out.
S.E.A.N…B.A.C.H.M.A.N
Okay, now they were getting somewhere. They had a name. “This your guy?” Cassie asked. She still didn’t understand what she did, but recognising that whatever it was it had worked somehow.
...E.T....G.O…C.A.L.L.E.D…H.E.R.E…..A.P.O.L.O.G.I.Z
Cassie frowned at that last message and now it was her turn to look at the figure, Sean, she corrected herself, her head inclining.
“Ooh! Sean! You’re Agnes’ nephew, right? Your dad was named Abel?” Not who Morgan was looking for, not even close, and she shook her head at Cassie in a sheepish universal signal of ‘close but no cigar.’ Still, she felt an electric rush of excitement. This was more direct contact than she’d gotten...ever. Ever-ever. The rest of his message was a lot more puzzling. Who was apologizing? Sean hadn’t done anything wrong, at least not that she’d dug up yet. “We’ll get to that Sean, but I’m wondering if you know anything about your aunt? If she...kept a secret book of magic maybe? Or if you saw her, or heard maybe…” Fuck it. “If you heard of her doing something bad enough that might make someone curse our whole family?” She felt cold all over and out of breath just from asking. She’d been nosing around ancestry sites and state records for so long, she had picked up her whole life, she had pestered Cassie in the middle of a shop, all for this, all without putting her finger on the big, awful magic button of a reason. And having to ask it out loud now, even in the most common sense of ways frustrated Morgan. It was a reminder that there was a chance the answer might be no. Maybe the afterlife had turned Sean’s memory to custard, or he just hadn’t been the kind of kid to overhear rumor. “Anything, Sean?” She pressed. “Be honest.”
Success? Cassie looked over expectantly and clocked the expression on Morgan’s face and felt her shoulders slump slightly. No, crap. That had to sting. So close, she actually had somebody here and judging by the look that passed her features they’d missed the mark by a few miles.
I’m wondering if you know anything about your aunt?
 Y.E.S
The pen continued to move and while Cassie had next to zero to compare this it seemed like who Morgan had got hold sounded like they were a family member. Close, right? Cassie sat back and kept watch and listened as Morgan reached out to Sean. Her eyes darted up again at Morgan’s words at the end there. Eyebrows raised in concern. Cursed?
…O.W…D.A.R.E...
“Just answer the question and you can be on your way. Come on, man.” It was round about then that Sean decided to have a temper tantrum and managed to tear the paper a few centimetres in his answer. It seemed to take it out of him. She saw him fade further and stop .“I think he wore himself out with that one.” It was a while before he summoned up the energy to fade back to view again.
…T.E.L.L….Y.O.U….N.O.T.H.I
The light on one of the bedside tables clinked and the TV switched on and off for a second at that outburst.
….R.E.L.E.A.S.E….ME…
What a baby. “Spooky. Very good,” Cassie shook her head and spoke in a deadpan tone. “I know you’re pissed but don’t be an ass, Sean, or we’re going to have a problem.”
Morgan clenched her fists in her lap to keep from shaking. This was getting very real, very quickly, and somehow not at all fulfilling in the way she’d hoped. The paper was making noises all by itself, and it was one thing to look away from the screen when things started getting weird in The Conjuring, but something else entirely when the jump scare was right in front of your face. There was nowhere to go from this. Morgan looked behind her and saw the TV flickering, like some five year old on a sugar high was going crazy with the switch, and the tables were rattling louder without anyone being there. Morgan’s eyes had been stretched open long enough to tear up. She was sure if she closed them she’d make up some excuse for what she was seeing, she’d try to tell herself that this was wrong and definitely impossible. But the only thing scarier than seeing this happen, was to never see it happen. Fuck.
“Sean, you asshole! Cut it out!” She screamed over the noise. “You tell me what you know!”
But Sean was not remotely interested. Morgan felt down in her pocket to the salt stash she had and threw it near the paper.
“You wanna stay here forever, Sean?” She asked. “Because I don’t give a shit if you’re stuck with me forever, okay! You can throw a fit all year for all I care, got it? So spit it out already!”
Cassie shot Sean’s general figure an exasperated look and turned to Morgan and frowned in confusion. Where was he getting this idea he wasn’t free to go here? She really wasn’t about to enlighten them any time soon. Looking at Morgan just as the ‘I want to speak to the manager theatrics’ flared up again she saw Morgan glance around looking rattled. Crap. She knew that look. Cassie saw the clenched fists and shot her a worried look.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Cassie reached over but paused when she realised then that it wasn’t all fear there. There was some anger bubbling under the surface and stopped, sitting back down beside the paper. “Just some grade school level theatrics. He couldn’t blow the fuse on a lightbulb,” Cassie shot Sean a glare. Was it really so hard for the douche to just give Morgan what she wanted so they could just drop kick him back to the beyond like he wanted here? “And if you do, I’m going to have some words you’re not going to like.” Turned out the reassurance really wasn’t needed here. Morgan was holding her own. More than; she was outright making demands, tossing salt she didn’t even remember she had on her at the paper. Fast learner.
You can throw a fit all year for all I care, got it? So spit it out already
“What she said,” Cassie shrugged and looked for a second at the salt Morgan had just tossed in Sean’s general direction, “and if she thinks about throwing any more of that there’s not a damn thing I’m doing to do to stop her. I’ll tell her where to aim. Your call.”
S.K….C.O.N.S.T.A.N.C.E…L.E.A.V.E….M.E
The pen moved, with urgency then, spelling out a name. Now, that wasn’t to hard, was it?
Morgan came back to herself with Cassie’s agreement, what she said. Oh. Shit. She’d really let loose there. Threatened her ancestor, even if he was kind of a dick, wasted some salt aiming at whichever part of the air had looked most threatening. Cassie, for her part, didn’t seem too upset about her seasoning the ghost, and Morgan didn’t know what to make of that, except that she would have to explain a lot more about her situation than she’d had to in a long time. But that could wait. Hopefully. Sean was telling them about...someone named Constance. Morgan couldn’t remember how she fit into her family story off the top of her head. Was she Constance’s mother? Her daughter? It was right on the edge of her recall, but she couldn’t reach it. But it was better than nothing.
“Fine,” she said flatly. “Fine, go.” She still had some salt in her hand and threw it again. “Fuck you anyway, though. And tell Constance I’m coming for her.” She turned to Cassie for help, holding her sweater close around her chest, flushed with embarrassment.
Cassie watched as Morgan threw the remainder of salt in her hand towards the paper again, but something strange happened in the seconds before the salt even went airborne. Cassie didn’t get the chance to even start to send him away. There second Morgan uttered the word go the ghost that was formerly known as Sean zapped out like an old television. Blipped back to the void as if being pulled back somewhere. “That was new,” was all she could manage then with raised eyebrows. “He’s already gone,” she clarified, shaking herself out of it. What the hell was that?
“Okay,” she spoke again eventually as the quiet descended. “I have no idea what you did,” she admitted, still processing, “but that’s uh, that’s different.” Understatement, the air shifted, she felt that much. Swore she heard a faint popping sound as they went. “Did you get what you wanted? Sort of anyway? A name is a start, right?” Cassie shifted back and let out a breath. “So, um, walk me through what you did here, with the circle. Maybe we can get somebody else.”
Morgan flopped back on the floor when Cassie said he was gone. She didn’t know how she could tell, and without anything to tell by she almost didn’t believe it. This...this was good, right? This was progress...in that it was more ghost she’d spoken to in her whole life, certainly more than she had gotten out of any of her magic experiments. She would have to find out who Constance was, what she had to with all this. Agnes had been the one everyone talked about, but maybe she was just the baby monster. Oh god, if this was going to turn into a Grendel’s Mother situation-- Morgan put her head in her hands and breathed out long and hard. One thing at a time. “I um...I can send you the stuff. I have the webpage saved, but I don’t know if I can do it again, without some meaningful date and a new moon, or maybe not, maybe that was bullshit…” she was mumbling, half in a daze, as she pawed around the messy floor for her computer. She pulled it up and sent it to Cassie’s account on the town social media network. Handy, that. She stood up and dusted off a whole lot of nothing off her jeans. “I got something alright!” She said, scrambling to put her smile back on. “Thank you for helping on short notice. You’re really nice, and I’ll find a way to make it up somehow. Maybe when, um, the adrenaline is a little, uh, less, we can figure something out.” Or not. Cassie seemed like she might make a good shortcut through the mess, but she might also be fast-tracking herself into the danger zone. But if it meant not running from herself anymore, maybe it would be worth it anyway.

Secrets of the Dusk Chapter 7
Chapter 7
It was supposed to be an easy assignment, Uraraka ran the pencil behind her ear attempting to half-listen to her groupmate’s theories and half-push back spilling what had actually happened. She couldn’t exactly say that perhaps no one made off with the body and perhaps he was still alive and kicking somewhere. For the most part really. The project was about strategizing and the ability to think outside the box, but it was also odd that they were being given an unsolved murder case to figure out. She tapped the pencil against the desk.
“You’re usually so focused what’s wrong?”
She turned to Tsuyu, wishing that the fact that she knew Katsuki was up-and-walking around wouldn’t interfere with her ability to think straight. Her ability to think creatively, at least, so that she could come up with a possible viable conclusion on what happened. Something that masses would understand. Not that the body got up and walked away on its own-wait, did he?
Or did someone drag him to Todoroki’s first? Did Todoroki have to resurrect him? Uraraka shook her head. There was one absolute consistency in vampire lure. And that was how to become a vampire. Todoroki had nothing to do with it. Also, there was the other fact that they had been discussing. Assuming that the killer had come back to clean up their mess.
“There’s a couple things. Why only one kill? Typically, such brutal killers consider this a work of art, and artist have the tendency to keep creating. I also feel like we’re assuming that the killer came back to clean up their work, which I don’t think is likely unless they got cold-feet about displaying what they did.”
Tsuyu let out a soft smile, her eyes likely wondering why she hadn’t chosen such a field for her own major. There were a couple answers to that. One of them being the need for answers would drive her insane. She would keep going. And the world keeps spinning. At the end of the day, there would just be more to solve. She couldn’t burn herself out like that. But the case was unsolved. The killer was still out there. If they saw Katsuki was alive. They would be back to finish the job. Uraraka glanced towards the window, or was it something more? Was it some form of vampire etiquette none of them understood. The person who forced the transition on Katsuki thought they actually killed them and darted? If they saw Katsuki was alive would they try to finish the job to seal the loose ends or would it progress the other way? No. Knowing Katsuki, that person would try to finish the job. There was so much blood. They were trying to drain him dry. That person probably did. How his heart began beating again she would never know. The conclusion to that would be there was a serial killer on the loose that would attempt to drain the next nearest victim dry.
Uraraka flipped the page, her bracelet jangling against the paperwork. Her eyes slid down towards it. There was no reason to worry. Todoroki would more than likely swoop in like a hawk the minute something went wrong.  Uraraka took a breath, but she couldn’t rely on them to save her each time. Uraraka took a breath, writing a couple drabbling’s down into her notebook.
The third of their four-man team turning to her, “What do you have? I’m in a slump. Most killers either become serial killers or leave something behind. But we’re working on the why the body was gone. It’s so hard to determine the motive without the killer.”
Tsuyu turned to them, “Most would decide cold-feet. Like at last second they changed their mind or decided to hide it.”
The third person in the group nodded, their eyes sliding towards Uraraka, “What have you been thinking about?”
“If they had cold-feet and decided to hide what they did, why didn’t they clean up the mess they left behind? I think it wasn’t necessarily the killer that moved the body.”
They nodded at each other. Emily, turned the page, annoyance beginning to glow in her eyes, sliding her phone closer to her before setting it down again. It was likely both the fact that they were struggling with a hard angle in which Uraraka found herself guilty for knowing the answers to but having to withhold them because they couldn’t present such a conclusion in class and that Emily’s boyfriend was the other member of the group. And they were not only late, but no message and they weren’t replying either. “He said he was free at this time. And we went around her schedule too.” Emily flushed, glancing down at the table, “Sorry, I’m just a bit embarrassed. I suggested he join our group and now he’s not here.”
Uraraka waved her hands, “It’s fine. Maybe, she got held up in traffic or is having a hard time parking.”
Emily glanced towards the clock, nearly eleven-thirty…..in the night. Uraraka knew exactly what she was thinking. Those were all unreliable excuses. There was no traffic at such an hour and the campus was practically deserted. Emily slid her supplies into her bag, “If either of you have any time after this, that’d be great. I’m sorry about….ya know.”
“It’s fine. Sometimes somethings happen. I hope Jasper’s okay.” Tsuyu stated as Emily nodded before heading out. They waved bye to Emily before beginning to pack their own things.
Uraraka took a breath, “What if the answer to what happened to him is something that we can’t explain in class? Like something no one would quite be able to understand?”
Tsuyu glanced towards her, shaking her head, “No matter what we come up with it’s going to sound ridiculous. We just have to figure out how to back it up so that it’s believable.”
“How about we just arrest the killer and bring them in for show-and-tell.”
Tsuyu laughed, shaking her head at her, “Don’t do anything crazy now.”
“Do you think we’ll get extra credit if we bring the killer in?”
Tsuyu shook her head, glancing towards Uraraka’s pathway back, “Are you sure you don’t want me to walk you back? I don’t see Todoroki’s car today.”
Uraraka shook her head. In the darkness of the night, the offer was super tempting, but there was no way she was going to let Tsuyu walk her all the way home than wandering her way around the demon-infested woods that was the borderline Todoroki’s territory. She would be up all night with nightmares unsure if Tsuyu had made it home.
“It’s fine, I’ve got my pepper spray. I’ll be alright.” Lies. She knew what she wanted. The woods that had begun providing her comfort in the recent days were ushering an atmosphere that made her want to check over her shoulder every two minutes. And the powers that Natsuo had spoke of were being suppressed by the necklace that was also keeping demons and other creatures from wanting to eat her.
So, she had a choice to make. Powers and becoming dinner or barely hidden behind a thin piece of metal. Right now, it was not being dinner. She secretly wanted Tsuyu to walk her home. In the past couple of days, she had grown comfortable with Todoroki being by her side. But there was something chilling about him not being here at the current moment. She waved bye to Tsuyu doing her best to put on a smile. A smile and presence of reassurance. In the last couple of days, she also found herself becoming a progressively better actor. She could do this. She could figure out how to survive in both worlds. Uraraka glanced towards the stars, if their home led them to discover Katsuki’s killer what would she do with that information?
Uraraka sighed, glancing towards the sidewalk. It would result in them on a major avoid list or having to fight for her life. If Katsuki couldn’t survive with how built he was then currently she didn’t expect to manage to put up a fight. Especially against someone who was a supernatural creature. Wait-what if the killer was human? Uraraka glanced towards the sidewalk, what if the killer was human and then a vampire came along afterward pitying Katsuki because of his age and with little hope attempted to resurrect him, walked away before that happened because of being long gone by the time they attempted something, and Katsuki then woke up confused thinking that a vampire killed him? Uraraka shook her head, realizing something, a crucial detail that would enhance her investigation. She had never asked Katsuki himself.
The gruesome scene circled in her head, there were so many details. But mostly the sheer amount of blood was the distraction. The fact that there was so much had pulled her attention away from the more crucial details of the scenery. The familiarity, it had been playing over and over in her own head for days on end becoming clearer and clearer each day. Uraraka felt her eyes slide down towards an alleyway that she must’ve stayed in before Todoroki found her. The faint rustic color of what could’ve been mistaken as rust coloring the edges of the alley. The fading color splattered about. The alleyway both beckoned and scared her. The world tilted, Uraraka felt anger rush over her heart, the need to run into the alleyway whirlpooling around in her head as she felt the anger pump in her veins. Suddenly being thrown back, feeling as though her neck was snapping. Uraraka took a breath. Lowering herself to the sidewalk. She hadn’t moved an inch. She couldn’t make herself follow such an impulse. Not into an alley with that feeling. Not into that alley. There was no mistaking it. This is where Katsuki had been murdered. And that event was clinging dearly to the alleyway. Begging someone to unravel it.
Metal clanked as Uraraka glanced towards the emergency stairwell, one of the residents dragging out their cigarette, “Hey, girl, you okay?”
Uraraka nodded, “Sorry, I-I just didn’t feel good suddenly.”
“Happens a lot around here. I’d move if I could, but hey, at least rent’s cheap.”
Uraraka nodded again, attempting to wave good-bye as they kept talking. She sent a soft smile before heading further towards Todoroki’s house. Without a companion, the trip was feeling as though it was taking forever. She knew she hadn’t gotten lost. That wasn’t possible. She knew how to get there; Todoroki had walked her there a bazillion times so far. She knew the way. She had gotten there on her own the first time. Faint footsteps echoed behind her. Uraraka swallowed, the feeling of someone grabbing her by the neck in the alleyway still resilient in her mind, picking up her pace as her hand slid to the pouch where she knew she didn’t pack the pepper spray that morning. Uraraka took a breath. She could handle them. They didn’t look too tough. And they probably underestimated her if they were already following her without a second thought. If she could just round the corner and throw a good right hook, then she’d make a run for it. Startle them then escape. Uraraka took a breath quickening her paces the paces following her beginning to match. She took a breath, running for it, the person’s footfalls not bothering to hide that they were following her anymore and already attempting to catch up to her. Uraraka spun, their shadow approaching. Just at the right moment, she threw the punch, Katsuki pushing her hand away barely dodging, a wild smile painted on his face.
“That surprised to see me?”
A mixture of embarrassment and anger mixed through her chest, “Why didn’t you call out to me?”
Katsuki shrugged, glancing towards the alleyway, “Figured you were having one of your psychic attacks and wasn’t sure if it’d be a good time. After that, I did call out, but you didn’t hear me.”
Uraraka nodded. That alley was where he had been murdered. She couldn’t really hold his struggle to call out to her against him. She attempted to keep her hand from moving to her neck to itch it….anything to remove the feeling of someone having their hands around her throat, being dragged to the wall and fighting for her life, anything to remove the brutal feeling of the way Katsuki was murdered. It hurt so much. He made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal. But he was angry. He was desperate to win. Like anyone would be. And he had lost the only thing that could be considered purely his own no matter what anyone else said. Uraraka took a breath, trying to steady the dizzying feeling spinning in her head, begging her to get out of the funhouse and take some Tylenol,  “Was that-? Where you?”
Katsuki glanced over his shoulder, his voice given off a slight grumble, “Yeah. I go back there every so often to see if the bastard that made me this way is going to show their face.”
“Are the person who murdered you and the person who made you a vampire the same person?”
Katsuki’s red eyes flashed through the darkness, “Huh? Of course, they are. There’s no way a regular person would’ve been able to take me. Not even as a human.”
She let a slight smile slip, the amount of self-pride that bubbled within him was something to admire. She wondered if she could cultivate and sell it. The fast pace of heels clopped down the sidewalk. Uraraka glanced over her shoulder, seeing Tsuyu, covered in sweat and worry on her face.
“I couldn’t just leave you. I’m sorry. And then I heard you scream, I’m-“ Tsuyu’s eyes slid over towards Katsuki. “He’s alive?”
Uraraka felt her heartbeat increase a few notches. The confusion on Tsuyu’s face as she attempted to connect the dots becoming more and more prominent by the second. Her eyes slid towards Katsuki who glared towards her, “I’m as dead as they come.”
“Don’t lie to her. You’re not. You still are capable of moving yourself. You’ve been undead for a while now.”
Uraraka glanced over her shoulder, Todoroki standing a few sidewalk panels down the street, “Sorry about not being there. Katsuki said he’d go since it’s the new moon tonight.”
“It’s alright.” Her eyes slid back towards Tsuyu, what wasn’t alright was the fact that she felt like a liar to her best friend. That she hadn’t confided anything in Tsuyu. And that she was likely about to find out about way more than she wanted her to know. How was she supposed to keep her safe? Tsuyu meant it when she wanted to go into the criminal justice field. It wasn’t a fling or because it was a decent job choice. It was her passion. And Uraraka felt like a criminal hiding evidence.
Tsuyu slid a knife out of her pocket, “Uraraka, get away from them.”

Please Be Naked (Remus Lupin x reader smut)
Summary: You’re finally ready to lose it all to Remus, and who is he to deny you that?
Words: 2963 | read on AO3 | Masterlist
Warnings: semi-graphic descriptions of sex, explicit language
A/N: If you want to know what song I had on a loop while writing this, it’s “Please Be Naked” by the 1975, hence the title.
Minutes had faded into hours; when Remus retracted his lips from yours, you knew it was due time for the fadeout.  Like any forest fire, the heat between you two went from a mountain to a murmur eventually, always per your request.  Not that Remus’ tongue sliding underneath yours on some kind of mission to outdo God wasn’t good enough, or you didn’t crave the suppleness of his palm in the innermost part of your thighs.  It was quite the opposite, really.  Your entire body undulated under his calculated touches so vigorously you swore you were built to be broken down by his fingertips.  But when the question arose, the question of more and continuing and what was next, everything went still.  You’d cover up your embarrassment with apologies, to which Remus would react by covering your blush with kisses.  “I’ll wait for you,” he’d whisper as if you weren’t surrounded by silence.  But he always whispered in these instances, worried about breaking the delicate thing that is tenderness.  He whispered as often as he promised, “I’ll always wait for you.”  And he did.  Wordlessly.
And thus the normal routine was ending, the crescendo long past, and he was placing a kiss to your forehead to say goodnight in a way only you understood.  Usually, your body had settled by now, the storm cleared.  But as Remus pulled away a gloriously unusual demand parted from your lips.
“Stay.”
Remus’ hands had just started to slide from yours, his back turning in its typical reluctance to leave now, of all times.  It was a picture you had grown to know so well, him departing in the most selfless way.  But then you spoke.  And, thus, the way he turned on his heel so fast he almost spiralled to the floor, the way his face was pale with shock but eyes wide with wonder, the way you could tell he was waging war with a shit-eating grin trying to form on his lips, all created a brand-new picture was a million times more precious.  Your soul sang as your mouth smiled.
“Are you sure? Completely?” he asked with a head tilted downwards and a heart on his sleeve.  Though you had never gone through with the act of sex, no amount of personal inexperience could blind you to how badly Remus wanted you to answer ‘yes.’
And you did.  Because no amount of personal inexperience could blind you to how badly you wanted to continue to the what’s next.  The fire that was usually burnt to ashes never ceased burning this time and you had to, needed to, know about all the other what else’s everyone has always talked about.
“Fuck,” Remus breathed.  “Okay.  Okay.”  His eyes glossed over with traces of millions of thoughts, mumbling reassurances to himself before cutting the words off with your lips.  All too soon, he retracted.
“You haven’t done this before,” he noted.  Remus breathed deeply at this realization, ungracefully finding his way onto his knees so he was no longer pushing his crotch into yours, spreading your legs all the while.  Once again, he was controlling himself.  Resisting temptation.  There was so much silence as he thought of what to do or say next, it begged of you to ask something to break it as quickly as possible.  Or maybe, there was a desperate tug of your heart, wondering if the same statement Remus said about you could be applied to him.
The question came out on an impulse.  “And you?”
Remus frowned a line etching itself into his forehead messy with uneven strands of golden brown hair.  “No.  No, it’s not my first time.”  He exhaled deeply after the admission, visibly afraid to be looking at you yet still never ceasing to.
“Oh.”
You could feel your legs begin to close together slowly by the power of some subconscious force, your face falling on its side in order to not have to look directly at Remus under the same influence.n  “Wait,” he pleaded, grabbing your kneecaps with one hand each.  The feeling of his warm skin touching you, as opposed to the chilled midnight air, demanded your attention be regained.  “You don’t have to do this.  Please know that.  And if you want to go have your first time with someone else who hasn’t had theirs, I understand completely.  I just want to say that, no matter how many times I’ve had sex, even if it were a million times,”–you cocked your eyebrow at him– “It’s an exaggeration!  But even if that was true, it wouldn’t matter.  Because I love you.  And, uh, this will, in a way, be my first time, too, since I wasn’t in love with who I lost my virginity to.  Not even a little bit.  So, lucky for you… ”
“Yeah, lucky for me,” you laughed.  It seemed loud for the space, unceremonious and gawky.  But experiences like this, you decided, were made up of separate moments with individual timelines, allowing for dynamic shifts like the difference between the growl of a lip amidst teeth and the kind of laughter that sinks into your bones warmly.
This mentality also allowed for the silence that followed, the type of quietness that was neither pleading or empty but simply existed.  Your fingers continued their way through Remus’ hair, landing in finale intertwined the back of his neck.  Finally, finally the moment presented itself, on a silver platter and all, and you abandoned yourself to being carried away, feeding fuel to the fire by whispering kisses along Remus’ jawline.  His entire body shook in response, neck craning back, back craning in, and something inside you kept saying more, more, more.  So you pressed your palms underneath the layer of cotton covering his body to touch the layer of skin it was hiding, rediscovering the texture of his ribcage and spine with nothing concealing it, fingertips saying hello to his bruises with the tone of voice of an old friend.  Remus breathed, paused, sucked in, hissed, moaned.  Each genre of sound was your new favorite, and you prayed above all else the music would continue.
His shirt was the first to be forgotten, thrown into some misshapen lump in a corner of his barely moonlit bedroom.  Maybe you’ve been here before, or some version of this location: Remus shirtless, skin authentically aglow in a starlight sort of manner, scars deeply etched but deeply insignificant when addressing the whole of his graceful limbs and long muscles.  You traced shapes into his chest, watching it stutter in response, entranced.
“You’re stunning,” you whispered before allowing your lips the skin they ached to taste.  He mumbled something opinionated that turned into something incoherent as you dragged your tongue down his stomach, trying to make him shiver and be convinced your virginity was a contradiction to your execution.  You sneakily shifted between positions in order to gain the greatest access possible downwards, then further down, then so far a belt buckle ceased any immediate action.  Fingers touched the cold metal ring, applying a question in the form of pressure.  Remus’ hips bucked, giving an answer in the form of physicality.  The “please,” that dragged out of his throat was, you assumed, supposed to come before the bodily agreement.  But you understood the lack of hold-back, liked it, because it meant you were bothering, enticing, stimulating.  This was the job and you had checked every box on the list that was presented to you thus far.
The unbuckling of his belt was the first artificial sound of the evening, followed by the definitive but soft scraping of his jeans and boxers against his skin while simultaneously being pushed down his legs.  But the third sound–the gulping of your throat–was genuine in all forms of the word, not only as it was made by your body but because it was the first time you had seen all of Remus and it was your first time to do this with something like that and wow, wow, wow…
“You don’t have to,” Remus said besides himself with breaths so shallow, if they were water, the blue would barely touch your ankles.  And that’s why you touched, anyways, explored, eventually learned in, sucked.  Because he was all unbalanced and stuttery, always two words away from completing sentences, rushing through some reactions and prolonging others, saying “fuck” so many times you thought he had bought himself a nonrefundable ticket to Hell.
So when he asked you to stop, breathing as haphazardly as his caramel hair hung into his closed eyes, the contradiction between the demand and his presumed enjoyment forced you to ask, “was it not good?”
Automatically, Remus denied your doubt without a trace of his own shadowing over his facial features.  If anything, a small smile edged its way onto Remus’ face as he confessed, “that was probably the best I’ve ever had.  God, wanna make you feel the same.”
Remus began transitioning the tone of the conversation from sentences to moans as he left open-mouthed, obnoxiously short-lived kisses on the side of your lips that distracted you from the way he laid you down subtly.  And, yes, Remus was Remus was Remus but knowing you were heading somewhere, knowing that his hands were under your shirt to take it off and in your pants to get even deeper, added a ferventness to his approach that was intoxicatingly detectable.  There was a strategy to every movement: the pacing of undressing, the dynamic contrast between a suck and a bite, the use of breathing so unevenly up against your begging mouth, but doing nothing to ease that craving.  Remus was teasing you in the most Remus way possible: almost noticeably, almost as if it was a coincidence.  But the sensations that vibrated from the marrow of your bones all the way to the tips of your hair, paired with Remus’ gentle yet seductive smirks, made you certain these actions were no accidents.
But there was absolutely no concern in your mind that Remus was getting away with the crime, because his body filled yours with something that felt like starlight, so forget righteousness if it prohibited you indulging in your newfound obsession of having his body on yours, atop yours, in yours.  In yours?
“Shit,” you gasped, realizing where his tongue was, tugging at whatever was closest to you deep in the throes of pleasure.  Never before had you felt this, and never again will you be able to kiss that tongue the same way knowing the full throttle of its capabilities.  “Shit, Rem,” you panted.  “Again.  Please.”
He replied simply, somehow sounding as coiled up as you, all breathless and hazy.  “Yeah.  You taste good.”  It was so automatic, so unadulterated in its candid delivery, not even your mouth could not express the hotness of the phrase.  This lead to you arching your back up and craning your neck against a mattress in a way that seems premature, considering Remus’ tongue had yet to return, but was necessary to abide by the scorching sensation inside of your stomach that dissuaded you from caring about logic.  You let that sense guide you, sweep over you unconditionally, as Remus had the audacity to mouth at places without warning, making you blissfully powerless to his tongue and his strategies.  A lick, a nip, a circle, a kiss, a prod, a blow.  You never knew exactly how much your body was capable of feeling until Remus brought it upon you now, self-confident smirk and all, with a dangerously low chuckle while pulling away that made you absolutely disintegrate.
You could hear the heaviness of lust in his voice as he asked, “Fuck, can I finger you now?  I’ll take it slow, of course.  I’ll fuck you slow, too…”
“Remus,” you moaned, lifting your hips up in a way that seems far too desperate considering you should have already felt every possible sensation by now.
“Sorry, love,” he said.  “I think I’m getting a bit ahead of myself but, shit, I’ve never… just…”
“I know.”  In a moment overflowing with risk, you looked up at him, all raw lipped and glistening, locking your blurred eyes with his.  They were thoroughly dilated, full of a hunger that stemmed from far below their lids, but still stumbled upon your body sweetly, coaxing instead of staring.  Even if this was your first time, the way he looked at you was all the evidence you needed that all physical manifestation between you and Remus would be different than anything else with anyone else.  Better than.  You dipped your fingertips through his disheveled hair, brushing it off of his forehead.  “Go ahead, I’m ready.”
Remus placed a delicate kiss on your stomach before he lowered down, sputtering out the typical guidance of “relax” and “keep breathing,” in such a short-breathed manner he could have been talking to himself.  But when the first finger dipped inside, hitting places never before explored, suddenly the advice was for you, you and your shallow exhales and clenched knuckles.  In flashes, there was uncertainty, fear, discomfort, all distinctly demoted but easily forgotten as deep breaths turned into small moans and one finger turned into two turned into three.  You were an earthquake held inside a body due to Remus’ touches and constant praises of,  “You’re doing so good, baby,” and  “Yeah, you’re taking it so well.”  His words crawled up your skin, raising hairs and spreading shivers.  It was all too much– Remus’ low growls, thick fingers, perfect aim, unyielding passion– yet your body coiled with an unquenchable thirst for more.
Your hand searched for his pumping wrist, fingers wrapping around the limb in a silent plead to stop.  Remus obliged, looking up at you with a palpable concern that was immediately disintegrated once you said, “I’m ready, Remus.”
“Yeah?” he asked.  His smile was a mix of Firewhisky and safety, somewhere between two and but neither by itself.
You let your own smile take its shape across its face as you nodded.  Remus lifted his face to yours and coaxed apart your lips so gently it felt like praying.  With closed eyes, you only felt his hands pressed against your hot cheeks, only heard his gravelly voice whisper how much he loved you against your mouth.  Too soon he lifted his face away, lifted his whole body off of yours to readjust and it was happening, it was truly happening, right before your now wide-open eyes.  They basked in Remus’ striated skin, his light layering of freckles, his veiny arms; he was beautiful in an overwhelmingly accidental way.  But when Remus’ body edged closer and closer, further and further in, it was impossible to focus on anything other than the holiness that was being this close to him.  Everything felt better than you had ever imagined and you swore Remus’ body, in that exact moment, created the concept of ecstasy.
Remus spent a while above you, his forearms and back receiving unevenly distributed scratches from your fingernails before some unspoken thought or desire brought his torso against yours to allow mouths to press together once more.  Your skeleton melted at the combination of tenderness and friction, the beautiful juxtaposition between heat and hearth, and you found yourself moaning Remus’ name down his own throat in an attempt to counterbalance the intensity of his body being inside yours.  And then, somehow, Remus’ tongue was on your neck, sliding up your jawline, his breath tickling your ear.  “Shit, you feel so good,” he groaned into the shell of it.  “I’m close.”
Your body shook, contorting, back arching at the confession.  “M-me, too,” you replied, surprising yourself due to the fact you could form words.
It happened too soon, the zenith, submerging you under a translucent wave of bliss so thick you thought you were drowning but you didn’t care, you truly didn’t.  It was too good.  Remus’ back was full of your fingertips, digging in so deeply you were surprised you didn’t hit bone.  Every part of your body was arching and clenching, except your mouth, which was frozen hung open in the aftermath of screaming Remus’ name.
And thus you began a chain reaction: once settled from your orgasm, Remus hit his, screaming “fuck” so loudly you suddenly became aware of what you were doing and where you were doing it.  But that concern was easily distracted as Remus bit down on his unfairly thick lower lip, his eyes squeezed shut just as aggressively, his arms flexed in the act of pulling out.  He was so accidentally gorgeous, even in the throes of it- especially in the throes of it.
The silence that followed was quickly disrupted by Remus’ body falling against the mattress, next to you but not quite separated from.  He stroked your arm from the lopsided angle before repositioning to lay on his side and kiss your shoulder so softly you almost didn’t process the sensation.
“How are you feeling?” Remus asked, the absent-minded stroking returning to your arm as an excuse for his fingers to find their way into yours.
“Tired,” you admitted.  Remus snorted at the response.  “And amazing.”  You turned to face him, watching the hand that imitated the roll touch Remus’ chest.  You observed the patch of skin over his heart through both eyes and fingers before looking up, noticing his eyes were cast on you.  “Thank you,” you said.
Remus laughed, his entire body following the sound out of his throat.  “Are you kidding me?  Thank you.  That was undeniably the best sexual experience of my life.”
A smirk formed across your raw lips.  “So I was worth the wait?”
“Yeah,” he smiled, reclaiming the hand that was sprawling against his chest to kiss the top of it.  “You’re worth everything.”

List of my (unpopular?) Gravity Falls opinions
- My top three favorite episodes are Weirdmageddon Part 3 (satisfying conclusion that ties all loose ends and goes out on a high note), Northwest Mansion Mystery (great character development from Pacifica and Dipper, creepy atmosphere, Pacifica overcoming the emotional abuse from her parents, wonderful background art, the kids dress up in fancy attire) and Society of the Blind Eye (Fiddleford McGucket was fantastic and became a key player in the show’s main plot, great and creepy portrayal of cult, explains why most of the citizens of GF are unaware of the supernatural happenings in town, the memory gun as a brilliant metaphor for addiction).
- While I do love Stan and Ford, I sometimes feel that the GF fandom focuses a little too much on them.
- I wish the show developed Wendy and Pacifica more. While I do respect Alex for wanting to tell the story he wanted and ending the show on a high note, I wish he was able to expand on their characters a bit. Wendy is a great character in her own right (loves hanging out with the Pines, is a slacker, will kick ass when she needs to), I wish the show explored more of her flaws (using her chill persona as a front to hide her stress and anxiety, how her mom not being around anymore affected her). And while I love seeing Pacifica becoming more humble, it would have been cool to see her hang out with Dipper and Mabel more. Maybe the Graphic Novel will develop Wendy and Pacifica, but who knows.
- I do love how the show handles romance with none of the main characters getting together with anyone (with the exception of Soos). I like how Dipper and Mabel grow and learn from their failed romantic endeavors, with Dipper and Wendy being friends, Dipper learning that you shouldn’t force someone to love you and that you should strive to be someone worthy of loving, Mabel learning that not having a boyfriend isn’t the end of the world and learning to love yourself is more important. Even Stan of all people learns how pick-up artistry doesn’t work. I believe that these are all important lessons that viewers, especially kids, should take away from the show.
- Bill is a great villain, but he is also a shitty demon. The dude tries to manipulate Ford through his charisma alone, he’s super cocky and confident that his plans will work and when they don’t he’s prone to procrastination, and he’s super impulsive whenever he tries to obtain something he wants to the point where he ignores everything else. Sure Bill can be scary and threatening, but he also has some weaknesses. It baffles me how some people place him on this pedestal of ‘oh, he sees everything’ ‘Bill is super smart and powerful’, when in reality he’s been duped by humans not once, but three times! Namely, two twelve-year-olds and a pair of old men! There’s no way Bill’s pride recover from something this embarrassing! Overall, Bill Cipher the perfect mixture of a petulant toddler, a used car salesman, and a college frat-boy who only wants to party and ignores his homework until the last minute.
-Gideon was a fun villain in season one. While Bill overshadowed him in the evil department, people tend to forget how intimidating and creepy he was (not only his obsession with Mabel, but he was abusive to his own parents) all while being a funny parody of televangelist preachers and child stars. He was a great foil for the Pines family (Dipper and Mabel could have ended up like Gideon, but the twins had their compassion for family and their moral compasses in the right place). Plus he was an amusing business rival for Stan.
- Roadside Attraction was not a bad episode. While it does have some issues with how the plot the presented, there was enough good stuff in it that I really liked. I loved seeing Dipper and Stan bond (the ‘we’re both failures’ scene is one of my favorite moments), after episodes of Stan being woobified in ATOTS and Stanchurian Candidate it is nice to see him acting like a wacky criminal again, Darlene was a cool villain, and I liked the whole road trip aspect to it (another perfect example of childhood nostalgia that the show perfectly emulates).
- Boss Mabel and The Stanchurian Candidate were my least favorite in my opinion. While there was plenty of humor in both episodes, I personally did not like the ‘moral’ presented in Boss Mabel (in order to run a successful business, you have to treat your workers like dirt). And while I understand the main conflict in Stanchurian Candidate (Stan feeling overshadowed by Ford and jealous of his twin, Stan wanting to prove his worth to his family), I feel like the plot of the episode could have been executed better.
- I am not a big fan of trans!dipper headcanon for a few reasons: Mabel’s incessant teasing of Dipper’s masculinity (I know it’s just her being innocently insensitive, but that would be harmful behavior if her brother was transitioning), Dipper’s real name is Mason, and Dipper was seen without his shirt a few times in the show and he has the physique of a typical preteen male. Even though this is my opinion, I will not dismiss other people for headcanoning Dipper as a trans boy.
- I do support the idea of Grenda being a trans girl. While the show does have a few issues of trying to present her without being a walking punchline, there are some admirable qualities to her character. She’s confident, fun-loving, and cares about her friends. There is never a moment in the show where Grenda is mistaken for a boy. And I appreciate that she does end up surprising Mabel and Candy, who were initially dismissive of Grenda’s flirting, by winning over Marius with her bold attitude and becoming his girlfriend. It may not be a perfect representation, but I understand the intent of the writers wanting to positively portray a trans character and Grenda is a step in the right direction.
- While the parallels between Dipper and Ford / Mabel and Stan are quite obvious, I find the parallels between Dipper and Stan / Mabel and Ford to be more fascinating. Dipper and Stan not only share similar flaws (insecurities over themselves and feeling like the lesser twin, both lie to protect their family (the portal/the rift), both willing to get their hands dirty to achieve a goal) they both share their best traits (putting all of their effort in protecting their family, sarcastic sense of humor). The same goes with Mabel and Ford with their flaws (more self-absorbed, innocently insensitive at times, believe their ideas are the right ideas) and their strengths (confident in themselves, very creative).
- I am not a big fan of the majority of AUs. Monster Falls doesn’t really appeal to me, the whole Stan is actually Bill theory irritates me. I especially don’t like Relativity Falls because of how it slaps Dipper and Mabel’s sibling relationship onto Stan and Ford’s when in actuality Dipper and Mabel have a much healthier sibling relationship and it would be out of character for them to act otherwise. But there are some AUs that I like (Mystery Trio AU, Big Dipper AU in which Dipper an older brother to Mabel, any positive GF/Rick and Morty crossovers).
- All ships involving Bill are disgusting and you can’t tell me otherwise.

birth chart reading for @junjitty
hello! welcome to your reading.
🦋 chart shape, dominants
your chart is a splay shape, meaning that your planets are located randomly in different groups in your chart. people with this type of chart are usually very talented at different things. they can focus their attention on different matters, from family, to work, to love. everything is important for you, and you try to live your life to the fullest. you may be particularly talented at things that require action, it doesn’t matter whether it’s physical or mental. you may be very good at sports, dancing… or maybe you’re good at leading, you could easily be the boss on your work place. since you’re interested in so many things, you could easily be skilled at all of them to be honest. my advice would be to pick the hobby that is most important for you and care about it more than the others. that’s because people with this chart usually tend to do so many things that they may lack precision. it’s better to give all of yourself to what’s important for you.
your dominant planets are mercury, moon and jupiter. you are a very sensitive and benevolent person, it's easy for you to understand others' feelings and you try to make everyone feel comfortable. you're probably also quite intelligent, you like learning new things.
your dominant sign is virgo. with virgo as your dominant sign, I assume that you're very astute and practical. you have great problem-solving skills, and you have the ability to stay collected even under stressful situations. you're quite logical, but you also a warm, generous heart. you love helping others, as long as they don't try to take advantage of your kindness.
your dominant element is fire. you have a warm heart, even though it may be covered by your confidence and independence. in fact, you always strive for the first place. people may be intimidated by your presence, as you're a serious competitor. thanks to this competitive nature of yours you may be very positive and optimistic, making you a good and supportive friend/partner.
🌎 ascendant in sagittarius, 24° / 3rd decan ruled by jupiter and the sun
you see the world as an adventure. I feel like you typically don’t relate to sagittarius ascendant stereotypes; sag risings are usually very happy-go-lucky, they smile often, but pluto being conjunct to it may change things a bit. you’re more of a loner, you’re not as extroverted as other sagittariuses. you may relate more to scorpio rising, actually. ironically, you often look sad or angry. you have a knack for philosophy, and your favourite is most probably ‘you only live once’. you tame dying before making the amount of experiences you want to have in your life, hence you could even be impulsive sometimes. you’re the type to always be up to crack a joke or anything that can make you and others smile, yet when someone gets against you, it’s over for them. you have quite of a sharp tongue, you’re pretty blunt and straight-forward. in fact, you may often get in troubles due to your impulsiveness, which may be misunderstood. you have an incredible charm to you; it’s not like taurus’ or libra’s, those are more related to physical traits. sagittarius people, on the other hand, are surely very talented at something; maybe, at school you were one of the best students, and everyone recognized it and appreciated you for that; people understand your potential, and you may often receive compliments for your skills. basically, your personality is charismatic. due to pluto being conjunct the ascendant, I feel like you may even struggle too much with pessimism during your first years, but in case you are, you shouldn’t be. jupiter is also your dominant planet, and it’s willing to give you the best of luck if you respect its themes. hence, you need to have faith in the universe and be optimistic. try to look more at the positive sides in life and even in people. physically, sagittarius is all about abundance, hence you may have trouble losing weight. you could have big bones, or at least something bigger on your body that doesn’t make you look like a model. you’re more on the thick side, in fact you probably have a wide bone structure, with wider hips and/or thick thighs. you could also have wide shoulders, and something big and memorable on your face as well. maybe you have a very distinctive nose, or perhaps your eyes are almond-shaped. your forehead and lips could be pretty wide as well. I’ve also noticed that sagittarius people have a very lively sparkle in their eyes, even though they may be very dark. it’s like having two/three tiny diamonds at the centre of each of your eyes.
sagittarius ascendant opposite cancer sun: this placement indicates that, when you’re in public, you tend to act in a different way from who you truly are. perhaps you tend to act bubbly and sociable to hide your reserved virgo moon. this can obviously interfer in your relationships and bonds with others; some may expect you to be different, so you may often lose friends because you turned out to be more astute than what they were expecting. in fact, you may often attract people that try to take advantage of you. I wouldn’t worry too much, though, as I find this placement beneficial in your case, exactly because of this reason. but just in case it bothers you, now that you’re aware of this tendency of yours you can try to understand your real self more thanks to this reading, and start acting like who you truly are to get out of your shell.
sagittarius ascendant square virgo moon: you may have troubles understanding others’ real feelings for you. you may feel as if everyone hates you, like everyone is talking behind your back when it’s the opposite. you’re particularly sensitive about others’ view and opinion of you, you may get deeply hurt when people criticize you. you could have the tendency to act differently than you usually do, in order to preserve your feelings. this is obviously a toxic behaviour, that fills you up with your own stress and doubles it. due to that, you may become very moody and nervous, ending up hurting others yourself. or maybe, it’s the other way around; your feelings are so overwhelming that you can’t hide them, and that could put you in embarrassing, unpleasant situations. you may show all of your emotions on your face, ready to be read. the way to cope with this placement is finding someone similiar to you; someone who’s trust-worthy, and very sensitive and empathetic too. someone who’d never judge you for you think or say, and that would always help you becoming the best version of yourself. someone that understands you, without having to explain all of your behaviours and habits.
sagittarius ascendant conjunct sagittarius pluto: pluto, combined with your sagittarius rising makes you look a little bit naive. people may try to take advantage of you, and to defend yourself you tend to become bossy. you’re really competitive, and feel the constant need to prove others’ wrong, even though it’s not the best way to do it. in your life, you could encounter lots of enemies that may try to stop you from transforming yourself. or maybe, your grandfather is an authoritative figure in your life and in your family’s in general, and his influence has a big impact on your life. also, something I’ve noticed about pluto conjunct ascendant individuals is that they may feel unhappy when they’re young. as time goes by, they transform and become as they want, which makes them feel more satisfied with themselves.
🌞 sun in cancer, 3° / 1st decan ruled by the moon
this is the darkest, most intense cancer decan. even though you may not show it due to your heavy virgo influence, you’re actually very vulnerable and sensitive. you may be a crybaby, as crying is a way to vent your emotions. you may even overreact, and be considered too dramatic. you’re extremely moody; you could be all happy and relaxed with your friends, then suddenly you get sad, or even angry. it’s hard to deal with this, especially because your emotions are quite intense. this could make you argue a lot with your peers. even though it takes you a while to find someone willing to stay, when that moment finally comes you’ll embody cancer’s best trait: that is, you’ll become a ‘mother’ to your friends, lover etc. you have a very nurturing soul, you have a knack for affection and care, and you could even get kind of clingy, even though you may feel limitated to give your love to someone else. cancer is a cardinal sign, hence you may be the one to take initiative, yet you do it undirectly. you’re probably the passive-aggressive type. you’re most likely also quite patient, even though you don’t forgive easily. once someone tries to take advantage of you, it’s over for them.
cancer sun conjunct cancer mercury: you express your ego and identity through your words and ideas. you’re very opinionated and you protect strongly your beliefs. after all, you probably came up with your ideals after thinking deeply about them, you were too precise to be wrong. you’re also probably an avid reader, and you could do well in writing yourself, as you’re able to properly convey your ideals with your words. your mind is very active, and you feel comfortable letting all your thoughts out. it’s actually a way to relieve stress. you also have a wide vocabulary, and you’re capable of making a formal speech if you have to. you have a memorable way of speaking, as your words are very sharp. it’s hard for you to be ignored for your intellect. the downside to this placement is that you may be a bit too stubborn, you struggle to accept advice as you prefer doing your thing instead.
🌙 moon in virgo, 14° / 2nd decan ruled by mercury and saturn
this is the truest virgo decan. you want to have everything under control, you can't bear not being organized. you most probably write down your appointments and stuff on an agenda, or perhaps even in the notes app of your phone. you're extremely precise, you want everything to be perfect. you probably care a lot about your appearance; you most likely have a skincare routine, workout... just anything that makes you feel healthy. you love taking care of yourself, especially of your hygiene. you also put a lot of effort in your outfits, you fear not being at your best state. you're a perfectionist, after all. this also project in your home environment; you may clean your house thoroughly, it's most likely all neat. in addition, this mania of yours of being perfect makes you have high standards; in fact, you need people in your life that try as much as you do. you despise lazy people. you probably have a reputation for always being calm and elegant, as you try to avoid conflicts as much as possible. you're very smart and insightful, and you strive for perfection; you want to prove your power to yourself, as it helps you boosting your self-esteem. in fact, it depends a lot on your achievements; if you don't meet your expectations, you start going through a hard time of insecurity and struggles. you love communicating, but you may struggle to find the right words, especially with your mercury conjunct saturn. your eyes talk for you, though. you're also very introspective, and you're fond of art and creativity in general. you're very critical, both of yourself and of others. you don't do it with malice, though, but as I've already mentioned you want to frequent people that try to be at their best all the time, just like you after all.
virgo moon square gemini venus: there are contrasting feelings in your relationships with others; after all, your cancer moon wants to commit to someone and be loyal to them. on the other hand, your gemimi venus wants to be free. you don't want to feel tied to someone, you still need your independency. those two desires of yours probably contrast each other, stressing you out. you want a calm, almost boring relationship, but with this placement you can't seem to have one. your feelings and self-esteem may depend a lot on your relationships, not only with your lovers, but also with your friends. if someone isn't loyal to you, you immediately start blaming yourself. in your life you may lack intimacy, and while it may make you feel better at first, based on the rest of your chart you actually need someone on your side. you can't do everything on your own. you need to find someone that projects your ideals of love. if you need a free-spirit, go look for one. it may take you a while, but if you learn all the lessons you need to learn from your breakups, you'll be able to live a peaceful life with your spouse.
virgo moon conjunct virgo jupiter: you enjoy making different experiences and living your life to the fullest, making you also a risk-taker. you may lack self-control. with this trait you get bored easily, and you may have a reputation for being flaky. you tend to overindulge; you may spend too much money, or even develop eating disorders like binge-eating. at least, you're able to build your life again and have a fresh start, but you risk to get stuck in this cycle. you have the potential to master different talents, but you may struggle to develop them due to this placement. you're a procrastinator, and you find it hard to focus on more things at the same time. you may also attract people with different beliefs and ideas from you, causing you to fall out with them easily. there are also positive sides to this placement, though! you're probably naturally lucky, even though luck may not always be by your side.
virgo moon square sagittarius pluto: your emotions are so intense that they almost scare those around you. in fact, you're prone to accentuated mood swings; when you're happy, you start smiling and laughing joyfully. when you're sad, you're the type to cry, scream, even throw up in some cases. that's how far you go with your emotions. maybe, you also feel repressed to express your feelings exactly for this reason. you probably also have a conservative/possessive mother (or just any member of your family), with whom you don't feel at ease expressing your emotions. or maybe, your mother was absent throughout your life. on the other hand, you can understand others' feelings, but be careful not to use it to manipulate others. you could also be very paranoid, and might develop addictions and anxiety disorders.
🗣 mercury in cancer, 9° / 1st decan ruled by the moon
you don't really rely on logic. you're very emotionally intelligent, and you take in consideration others' feelings when you speak. even though you may be impulsive and blunt sometimes, you don't do it with malice at all. you may actually feel guilty after you realize that you've hurt someone. you may be sort of manipulative, as you're very observant of others' behaviours. because of that, you may be extremely good at interacting with others, since you know how to speak to people when you don't let your impulsiveness get over you. you know how to persuade others, even though you may not even realize it. if you manage to balance your moon and your mercury, I think it would give you great social skills. you'd be able to stand up for yourself, while also being mindful and conscious of the effect of your words on others. you may get defensive quite easily, and because of that you may become a bit secretive. that's because, deep down, you feel the need to be understood to fully convey and express your emotions. you want to feel at home with your interlocutor, otherwise you'll just be awkward. on the other hand, you have a nice sense of humor, you're able to light up the room with your jokes. your voice may be nasal, but pretty much very gentle as well.
cancer mercury conjunct cancer saturn: this placement gives you limitations and lessons regarding the way you think and talk. it may be that you’re too shy to approach others and to say what you think, so you just don’t try. otherwise, if you actually take action and try to overcome this problem, you could get into trouble. that’s probably caused by the fact that you don’t really pay attention to your words. you’re quite straight-forward, and due to your fire energy you always seem as if you’re up for a fight. you may be particularly pessimistic, or maybe you lack confidence in social interactions due to these problems, which could be possibly caused by your parents, or perhaps interfer in your relationship with your family. in fact, you may argue quite often with others, and misunderstandings are also common. this is something that gets naturally better with time, but in order for it to happen you need to take action. you may for example start speaking with others more at work, anything that allows you to challenge your mind and voice, in order to make you gain experiences and become a master at it. many celebrities, once they mastered this hard aspect, got loads of success. you can do that too, you just need to work on it.
❤️ venus in gemini, 10° / 2nd decan ruled by mercury and venus
this is the flirtiest, most romantic gemini decan, but also the flakiest and most indecisive. your flirting style most probably includes jokes, teasing… things like that. even though you may seem flaky, as you like experiencing romance with different types of people, you’re actually quite picky. in fact, in order to fall for someone, you need to feel mentally attracted to them, not just physically. someone ignorant and stubborn that doesn’t care about learning something most definitely isn’t for you. you’re not the type to be super romantic and sweet with your partner or just people in general. you show your affection for example by sending them memes, making ironic jokes about them etc. also, when you’re into someone, you probably get very talkative! you start asking them simple questions about their life, even things like 'did you have lunch?’. also, you talk about them with all of your friends, and you find yourself thinking costantly about them. you’re very curious of nature, but you’re only interested in getting to know what catches your eye.
gemini venus square virgo jupiter: you come off as a very positive, happy-go-lucky person. you're extremely friendly, and this makes you be good at social relationships. you may have lots of friends, or at least you have the potential to make many if you opened up and talked to them. yet, while this energy gives you positive vibes, some people may take advantage of that, as you could easily be mistaken for naive. people can try to dominate you unconsciously (sometimes even on purpose) not only in relationships but even in friendships. aside from that, I don't think this placement causes you many problems. you may have the tendency to procrastinate and not work. you could be quite lazy and get easily distracted, as you're constantly with your head in the cloud.
💥 mars in leo, 0° / 1st decan ruled by the sun
praise and success are what motivate you the most. your main goal in life is being praised for achieving your goals, you wouldn't feel motivated without compliments. therefore, you put energy in things that make you feel confident and noticed, as you enjoy being seen. for example, if you feel confident being well-dressed, you could spend hours in the closet to look how you want. you are very creative, you get an energy boost through creative outlets, and hence your hobbies (reading, writing, dancing, singing, drawing, etc.) recharge your battery. this placement also makes you very extra, especially with people you're close to. you may gesticulate a lot, you could as well enjoy mimicking others' voices. you're basically very dramatic, you look like an actor when you react, but at least you're very fun and entertaining to watch and listen. this placement, it gives you a strong charisma that, and combined with your sagittarius rising, it makes it impossible not to notice you. you could overreact from time to time, and you may also be particularly pessimistic, but above all you appear as someone very bold and strong-minded.
🏡 houses
your 1st house is in sagittarius. you come off as someone very sympathetic and bold, you're probably the fun one in the family or in your group of friends, even though pluto's presence conjunct the ascendant may delay this energy. you are very charismatic, you have a witty sense of humor and people are always pleased to have you around, as you're able to light up the room. people always see you as someone easy to talk to, someone trustworthy. you probably have great problem-solving skills or, otherwise, you just ignore your problems and wait for time to heal. you're also quite spiritual, you may be sensitive to higher entities and you could possibly also be religious.
your 2nd house is in capricorn. your relationship with money may not be totally stable; you may get distracted easily, and you could lose your money around. this is usually a placement that indicates sudden money loss. this placement also confirms that your self-esteem isn’t stable either; you could be quite insecure, and you may idealize a lot the way you look. for example, you could think that you have an ugly nose when it’s actually the opposite. same goes for your belongings; you may think that you have saved loads of money, you spend them, and then you realize you didn’t really have much. on the other hand, even though you may lack self-esteem and financial security during the first years of your life, it will all get better in the future.
your 3rd house is in the sign of aquarius, with also uranus and neptune. when it comes to speech, you’re most likely more introspective. you may not be much talkative, and most of the time you keep your ideas and thoughts to yourself, but actually it's hard for you to hide them. you may be secretive, but you're easy to read. you learn the best when you’re close to creativity or imagination, you’re very intuitive and hence it's easier for you to learn new topics. while you're very empathetic and you're able to properly convey your thoughts and feelings in your speech, you may also come off as sensitive or even insecure. you may have a quiet voice, and hence you could come off as shy. you have a very distinctive way of thinking and speaking. you don't like being like others, you don't follow trends. you're probably the trendsetter, and you may find confidence and pride in your ideas and opinions. some may even define you weird, but you have very strong beliefs that could actually be helpful for the world. you're quite 'ahead' of others from this point of view, you're able to find beauty in things without being influenced by others. for example, you may follow a fashion trend before it gets viral. you are able to come up with very innovative ways of solving problems, you're extremely creative. you may even be the type to invent your own words, or perhaps you love learning and reading new words, you have a wide vocabulary. you're also probably interested in science and any darker or logical topic, you want to use your words and theories to change something in the world. you want to leave an impact, maybe even help others through your mind. you have a very witty sense of humor, you most likely speak fluent sarcasm and you're also very astute.

your 5th house is ruled by aries. you find confidence in your creativity, and you have the desire to express it to the world. I think you’re probably the type to organize and arrange all the meetings and parties with your friends, you're practically the leader of your friend group. you may have aries hobbies, therefore you may be into sports and challenges of any kind. you could also enjoy working out and taking care of your physical appearance in general, you always try to look good.
your 6th house is in taurus, and venus is also sitting there. you may find yourself dating people at your work place, or maybe at school you used to go out with people from your class/school. romance is part of your daily life for you. you like surrounding yourself with venusian aesthetic, so you probably take care of your body, your fashion, your home and so on. you may also be very fond of animals and money. this placement usually makes someone procrastinate a bit, you may have the habit of dedicating yourself too much to your passions without finishing your work, but I don't think it's your case. there are other placements in your chart that make you more hard-working than you look. you are in fact very dedicated to your job and routine. you probably don't like changes, you'd rather follow a schedule in your day-to-day life. your job and skills could be the key to make you gain more confidence in yourself, as they would give you the independency that you crave due to your sagittarius rising. you may have a job that allows you to earn a great income, and perhaps you could heal people with it. hence, you could be some sort of therapist, counselor, nurse or even something more artistic, like a writer. anything that allows you to heal people with your words would be suitable for you. you could also work in a place where you have to handle others' money or possessions in general.
your 7th house is in gemini. saturn, the sun and mercury are also placed there. in a partner, you seek someone intelligent that is able to keep up with your rhythm. you don’t have time to nurture someone, you want them to fully understand you. in fact, you may be more attracted to older partners, as they’re supposed to be more mature. I don’t see many issues arising in your marriage life, it will probably be very peaceful, but it may take you a while to find someone you like. you’re a picky person when it comes to love, you want someone hard-working and responsible with a big brain, yet they should also be quite outgoing and funny. you need mental stimulation, someone that is a constant adventure for you and that is worth exploring. maybe, you're actually afraid of falling in love; or perhaps, it's the opposite: your risk-taker sagittarius energy made you jump into relationships, even if they weren't actually your priority. it may be hard for you to fall for someone, but once you do, you're totally invested in them. you're quite of a traditionalist when it comes to love; you may the type that prefers being courted, rather than court yourself. you're also quite into clichés, and you're looking for a polite and ambitious partner. someone who has a stable job, and is also wealthy. basically, someone that looks (and possibly is) rich and noble. you may also have the tendency to date people that are older than you, and possibly also soulmates from your past lives. in fact, you attract many karmic partners that are here to teach you lessons. your relationships may be quite painful, or at least they're so intense that they are hard to forget. with this placement, it's also recommended to get married after your saturn return, hence after your 28-29 years old, to avoid any kind of challenges.
your 8th house is in cancer. mars is also placed there. you are a very private individual, you have trust issues and you only share your concerns with people you're sure you can trust. you tend to preserve yourself, even though it’s hard for you to repress your emotions, as they’re too to intense to bottle them up. you absorb people’s feelings like a sponge, there’s no way that you won’t instantly understand their real emotions. overall, you tend to overreact a lot; you have the moon's sensitive energy on one side and 8th house’s mysterious, almost scary vibe. dealing with these emotional burnouts may be stressing to you, as you totally get caught up in them. even if it looks like you get to know other people often, you actually don’t let others know you. you’re the type of person to talk and socialize, especially after your saturn return, but you never reveal your deepest fears and thoughts to strangers. you only open up to people you’re sure you can trust. you’re an extremely goal-oriented person. you want to be the best at everything you do, not only to be better than others but also the best for yourself. you’re very astute, it’s impossible to trick you, and you always find a way to be in charge and get what you want. yet, you can get quite obsessed about your goals, that you could do extreme things to get what you want. in fact, people with this placement can even manipulate others, as they’re totally capable of doing that. in addition, your rising being in sagittarius makes you extremely charming. people are naturally attracted to you, you have a way with words, and hence you’re always able to convince others into giving you what you want.
your 9th house is in leo. you’re able to grasp a lot of information that makes you think more about your identity. you’re probably interested in philosophy, poetry, literature... you are a perfectionist at school, and you probably have amazing grades. you are very justice-driven, you like learning new things and being the #1 at pretty much everything you care about. yet, you could be quite bossy at times, as you could come off as a bit too arrogant but you're just very dedicated. on the other hand, you're also very intelligent and open-minded above all, you could feel particularly drawn to foreign cultures and languages and you could be naturally skilled. you may also get to travel a lot or even move abroad at a certain point in your life, you're definitely a citizen of the world and you hardly ever have prejudices.
your 10th house is in virgo, with also your moon and jupiter sitting there. you might be seen by strangers as a caretaker, someone extremely organized who has their life together, but that also doesn’t hesitate to take care of their physical appearance. your ultimate job would have to be some sort of healing career, you want to give and teach something through your work. in addition, your career is where you put most of your energy. you're driven by a strong sense of duty, and your career is also able to increase your confidence. you want to be a leader and create a name for yourself. jupiter is also conjunct the midheaven, therefore I definitely see you having to interact with people from all over the world. you also have strong creative abilities, you are very philosophical and you could become known for your creations. you could even become an artist, a designer, a singer who tries to communicate through their art. basically, with your career you'll get to spread your message through creative outlets.
your 11th house is in libra. you enjoy getting to know new people, maybe you have to do it because your job requires that. but just because you need to communicate with other people, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re your friends. basically, you're the type to know a lot of persons, but you may always feel lonely. that's because your bond with them is kind of shallow, they're not someone too intimate with you. hence, you feel as if you can never share your feelings with anyone. your friends may also be very good looking, perhaps even a bit more extroverted than you.
your 12th house is in scorpio, with also pluto placed there. this is another placement that indicates that you crave intense, life-changing bonds, but that you also tame them. you're afraid of being betrayed, and hence you just end up repressing your feelings. on the other hand, this placement makes you extremely spiritual. you may be attracted to the occult or any spiritual topic: astrology, tarots, even spirits. you may use these tools to get to know yourself more. you can become aware of your karmic issues thanks to astrology for example, and use it to finally solve and break free from your limitations. it's important for you to get closer to your spiritual, higher self in this lifetime. it will probably make your life much easier. you could even have very vivid dreams, and perhaps you may predict the future through them.
❤️ love life, soulmates
in love, you attract aries, capricorn, aquarius, gemini, virgo and leo. your future spouse is probably going to be very magnetic and mature, but also very caring, playful and affectionate with you. with your soulmate, it may be love at first sight. you're also most likely going to meet someone very spiritual, and your future spouse could actually be your soulmate. you may meet them abroad, they're probably foreign or they have a different cultural background from yours. your children will probably have aries, scorpio placements. they're going to be very active and fiery, possibly also naughty. yet, they'll also be very fond of their parents, hard-working and intelligent too.
👶🏻 family life
your mother is probably a very caring person that knows how to stand up for herself when she has to, but she may struggle to do that. she's very smart and optimistic, and she could be into fashion and self-care. yet, she coule be a bit moody, over-emotional and impulsive. she may have pisces, libra, sagittarius and / or virgo placements in her chart. your father is a bit more serious and focused on work, but he always made sure you always had what you needed. he also has a more playful side to him, that he may not show often. he could be a pisces, a sagittarius, a cancer or virgo. if you have siblings, they probably have prominent capricorn / aquarius / pisces placements in their chart. you may fight often with them, and you may be quite possessive of each other. yet, this relationships gets naturally better as you grow up, you are going to get along more in the future.
📊 career
I imagine that you would do best at a career that involves healing, teaching... I can see you doing well in the medical field, for example. especially as a nurse, where you mostly interact with patients. you may also work for associations like the onu, where you're surrounded by people from all over the world. hence, you get in touch with different cultures that can help you opening your mind. you want a wealthy job, where you can be your own leader and use your imagination. I can also picture you doing some sort of online job, you could become an influencer for example or you may be known online for your talents. as I've already said before, you have probably a creative talent to you that could make you quite successful. overall, you want a job where you don't really have to depend on others. actually, you probably strive to be your own boss. you would also do well as a teacher or professor, and you may have to speak foreign languages for your job.
👚 fashion sense, style analysis
I imagine you put a lot of effort into your outifts, yet you don’t show it. you want to look effortlessly good, you don’t want to give the impression that you tried. your style may be quite minimalistic and simple, with lots of jeans, sweatshirts, plain t-shirts… I see you being more into natural shades, like white, grey, beige etc. you’re also not very fond of using too many accessories, you’re stylish but still very simple. you have this natural charm to you, hence you still look good even though your outfits may not be too complex.
👁 past life, life purpose
in your past life time, you didn’t have a specific priority. you just enjoyed wandering with your mind and creativity, allowing yourself to relax with your friends. you used to depend on someone else, not really on yourself. this lifetime, you need to establish your independence AND solid boundaries, not just those you used to daydream about. don’t be afraid to let your inner child out; go to amusement parks, binge-watch netflix, date your crushes, have an hobby, play videogames… you could also play with actual children. anything that brings fun out of you, and that puts a genuine smile on your face.
🤔 major transits analysis / september 8
transit virgo sun is currently conjunct your natal virgo jupiter in the 10th house: you may be feeling a bit impulsive these days, you could argue easily with others so be careful with what you do or say. on the other hand, you may also be more sociable and outgoing than usual, you feel confident and proud of yourself and overall serene in this period. also, with transit jupiter in your 3rd house conjunct your uranus, you may come across unexpected luck in these days, so pay attention to any signs! they were most likely meant to be.
🧿 manifest what you want, secret skills
your secret skills revolve around finances and just security in general. with a positive attitude, you may attract material luck: money, clothes, houses… everything that you desire. since you’re a logical person, I assume the most efficient way for you to manifest through the LOA is writing! take a notebook and just write down positive affirmations, such as 'I have the car of my dreams’ etc. you may also write them on post-its and glue them around your house, so that you can accelerate the progress. you can also try to idealize your wish before trying to manifest it. for example, if you want a new sweatshirt, try to imagine yourself wearing it. you could also go into a shop and actually try that sweatshirt it on; being in contact with it will boost the law of attraction even more.
and this is it! thank you again for booking a reading. hope it resonated with you :)

Life Eclipsed, Pt. 2
Name: Life Eclipsed, Part 2
Type: Vampire/Supernatural! Au, Angst, some fluff & humor. This one is somewhat filler for the next section.
Pairing: BTS x Reader
Rating: PG-13 (Nothing too graphic in this one, some language)
Word Count: 3,413 (a little shorter, but it’s setting up for Part 3).
Link to Part One
Written while listening to: “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” & “Howling at the Moon” both by Phantogram
A/N: I’m sorry that this was soooo delayed! I’ve started my master’s program and some of my days have been15 hours, no joke. I will definitely have to evaluate how often I will be able to post and play with the schedule. But I’m going to try my level best to not have to go on hiatus. I like writing for everyone and getting your feedback. It just might be more erratic and slower <3  Side note: I know their ages irl, but I had to play with them to fit to the story.
Tumblr media
You wake up the next morning- or at least you think it’s morning-to the driest mouth you ever remember having. Not to mention the fact that you feel like you got steamrolled. Everything hurts. Everything. What did you do last night? Why did you drink that much? Snippets of a strange dream featuring Jungkook come back to you, and you sit up, disoriented. You realize it’s not your own bed, and look around, finding Hobi lounging in a chair near the door.
“Well, well, well. Look who’s awake. Thought you’d be out for much longer. But this is a good sign. Survival increases significantly if the person wakes within 24 hours,” he beamed.  “Jin was keeping watch, but he had to go take care of some things before the party tonight. Guess the cat is out of the bag…” he trailed off, trying to gauge your reaction. You didn’t know which metaphorical cat he was referring to, but decided to let it roll.
“Keeping watch for what? And what time is it?” you rasp.
Hobi’s face is unreadable, and you can tell he is thinking. “It’s 5pm on October 31st. Looks like you’ll be joining us for our Halloween celebration after all.” You realized that you should feel happier-you were getting what you wanted, but you honestly felt tired, unprepared, and vaguely nauseous.
“Hoseok- don’t think for a second that I didn’t notice you answered selectively.” You try to get out of bed and almost fall over, but Hobi is at your side inhumanly fast and propping you up.
“Easy, Y/N. You might feel light-headed and weak for a while. You had quite a night.” You tug him toward the restroom, wanting to wash your face, and drink enough to fill a lake. Hobi understands what you want almost intuitively, and leads you toward the door. You can see the dirt streaked on your clothes, and could hug him for not caring.
But clearly he hadn’t thought it through entirely, because when you see your reflection in the mirror, you freeze. There is a raw, oozing, open wound on your neck, and with the visual cue, last night comes flooding back. You feel on the verge of passing out. Hobi’s grip is iron on your arms, keeping you upright despite the fact that your legs have almost certainly given out.
“Hoseok….” You start, not sure how to ask the most obvious question. How does one address the impossible?
“What is Jungkook? How am I alive? Am I….?” you trail off, unwilling to voice the crazy thought in your head. This must still be a dream.
His face fades from his signature smile to something akin to a frown. “Y/N, I don’t want to lie to you, however… unbelievable it may seem. Jungkook is a vampire, as are you. Jin found you, and Namjoon saved your life. Well, your consciousness. You might find that our version of living is a little different from how you were before...” he looks into your eyes, trying to see how you are taking the news.
“Namely, that I will run rampant in the woods and slaughter people when they just think they’re about to have a hot make-out session?” you reply, a hysterical edge creeping into your voice. What was in those drinks that you had last night? This cannot be real.
Hobi’s cheeks tinge pink, and a hurt look crosses his face. “There is more to it than that. Not all of us behave in that way,” he continued, looking embarrassed. “Even Jungkook rarely acts in that way. Tonight was supposed to be his official induction into the coven, even though he has already been hanging out and participating in coven affairs for some time. This is why we didn’t want you to come tonight. He is eighteen, and unbound. Not to mention, the full moon coincided with the one day that our instincts are hardest to control-Samhain, All Hallow’s Eve, Halloween, whatever you want to call it. We naively assumed that last night, with his entire football team present, and his awareness of the situation, that he would be on his best behavior. Clearly, it was irresponsible of us to leave you alone with him. He shouldn’t have kissed you.”
“So will this heal, or do I have to wear scarves for the rest of my life?” you ask, shocked at your own morbid sense of humor.
“It will heal,” a gravelly voice answers from behind you. You know that it is Yoongi without even turning around. Where Hobi is, Yoongi is never far behind. He is standing in the doorway, and moves to the bed, and though you are in the bathroom you can hear him perfectly. Weird.
“You will find that quicker healing is one of the benefits of being a vampire. Especially for those of us who were human to begin with,” he continues. “The remains of our human vitality make us stronger and faster, but also more impulsive, though it fades with time. The more often you drink, the faster you’ll heal and stronger you’ll be.” Hobi gives Yoongi a pained look and he stops talking.
“What?” Yoongi grumbles. “She deserves to know.”
“I understand that, but don’t you think that we should ease her into it?” Hobi pouts, and if things weren’t so heavy right now, you would find the face he was making adorable.
“She won’t be ‘eased into’ the transition, and she’s already meeting the coven tonight as a new vampire-not to mention the alleged dhampir sightings.  I don’t really think we have time to go about this in a leisurely way,” he defends.
Before the argument can escalate further, you hear footsteps thundering down the hallway. Two people from the sound of it. Before you can process how you know this, Tae and Jimin are there, crowding you and hugging you as they have always done. It is comforting that even in this nightmare, some things remain the same. They are crying and fussing, and shouting that they will kill Jungkook the next time they see him. Though your bloodthirstiness surprises you, you would prefer to do it yourself.  You chuckle darkly.
Before you can get a word in edgewise, Jin is back, forcing everyone out like a mother hen. After it quiets down, he approaches, trying to gauge your reaction.
“Y/N-ah, how are you doing? Can I get you anything?”
“How do you think I’m doing? I keep waiting to wake up from this nightmare.” Somehow though, his presence is calming, and you feel like everything is less crazy when he is there. He used to make you feel nervous, but when you remember the hazy events of last night, and how he was the one that found you and advocated for Namjoon to save you, all of the awkward jitters you felt before fall away.
“Is this really happening?” you ask him, and when you look into his eyes, the truth finally hits you that this is not a nightmare, and that you will not be waking up anytime soon. He moves closer slowly and wraps his arms around you. You cry for what feels like hours, realizing that your tears are staining your cheeks red, the abnormality of it causing you to cry even more. Jin stands still as a statue, murmuring calming things in your ear. The enclosed space that his embrace creates makes you feel safe, and your tears are eventually reduced to sniffles.
“What will my family say?” you wonder aloud, and the sadness on Jin’s face answers your question before he can even speak. They can never know.
“I will be your family now.  I promised you last night, and I stand by those words. I will be whatever you need me to be.”  He hugs you tighter, and though it will never compensate for everything that you’ve now lost, you’re endlessly grateful for his kindness.
Sometime later, Jin has left to find you some sustenance, though you shudder to think what he might bring back. Even though you’ve witnessed the mark on your neck and wiped scarlet tears from your own cheeks, you still can’t bring yourself to think about your, ahem, dietary situation. You shudder again and try to think through everything logically.
As you reflect, you are honestly surprised that you didn’t make sense of it all sooner. The fact that you never saw Jimin sleep once after the two of you turned sixteen (you decide then that you will need to do more research on vampire physiology), his entrancing stare, the fact that Tae would hang out through all hours of the night, Yoongi’s seemingly eternal boredom (which you now realize may actually be *eternal*), Hobi’s speed a few moments ago, and Jungkook’s inability to enter your room without an official invitation-not to mention his aversion to the purifying incense you had burned that day. Whatever will be going down tonight with the coven is what Hobi and Yoongi were trying to protect you from, though at this point your safety at said “party” is a moot point. You had never noticed anything out of place with Jin or Namjoon, but maybe they were more responsible about hiding it. How had you befriended an entire vampire coven and never noticed anything out of the ordinary until now?
You begin to wonder if you will incinerate upon contact with sunlight (or worse-sparkle) without some special charm. Whether you will live to be thousands of years old. Can you no longer eat garlic? As you ponder life without garlic, you decide that you would rather be staked and laugh at your own morbidity once again. Just as you fear that you are having some kind of psychotic break, Joon knocks and slowly opens the door.
If you felt a calming presence with Jin, then when Namjoon enters the room, it feels like all of your nerve endings electrify at once. Your face flushes, and if you hadn’t recently come to terms with the fact that you are now undead, you would swear that you were having heart palpitations. What was going on? Do vampire hearts still beat? You wonder to yourself. You’re pretty sure that you don’t remember that happening in any of the many YA novels you read. You double over and try to slow your breathing, focusing only on your breath.
After a few moments, you stand back up, only to have the feeling return when you look at Joon again. But this time you are more prepared for it and feel more under control. He is standing in the corner looking sheepish, own eyes slightly glassy, and you immediately know that he is somehow involved.
“Joon-care to explain what you’re doing to me? You can cool it with whatever your weird vampire superpower happens to be,” you manage to get out, though your teeth are gritted. You can feel your canines elongate the more effort you put into maintaining your composure. It’s not painful, but sort of…. slippery feeling? You’re weirded out and somewhat distracted, giving your friend a chance to figure out his answer.
“Ummm, how can I explain this in a way that won’t freak you out?” He pauses, testing the waters before continuing. “This is a … ‘normal’…response to the fact that I turned you. I didn’t think it would be this strong though. I’ve read about it but never experienced it.”
You stare at him in disbelief. “Let me get this straight-you turned me without having ever turned everyone else? How did you know I wouldn’t die?” Suddenly you’re not quite as pleased with Jin’s negotiation on your behalf. Part of you acknowledges that you wouldn’t even be alive if it weren’t for the two of them, but you also don’t appreciate knowing that you were the guinea pig.
“Y/N-ah, what are you expecting me to say? It’s not like we go around turning people on a regular basis. I might be leader of this coven, but I’m still pretty young in vampire terms. Plus I didn’t have much of a choice- Jin was begging me, and I wasn’t too keen on letting you die either,” he replies through his own gritted teeth.
“Our relationship might be…weird for awhile. Changing someone means that there is a permanent bond between you and that vampire, but changing someone is pretty…personal in our world, so it may take some time for our bodies to settle down,” he continued, eyes guarded from across the room. “Despite all this, I hope you can forgive me for making this choice for you.”
You move closer instinctively, and he mirrors your actions. “I’m glad you did. Even if it will take me awhile to come to terms with being a…..vampire.” Your smile is wry as you say it. “I still don’t fully believe it, but I’m glad that you agreed to save me.”
Somehow the two of you have migrated to the center of the room. “Y/N, you know I’m always here for you. When Jin asked me, I hesitated because I didn’t want to force you, and because I didn’t trust myself to not fuck it up. But I’m glad you made it through. It will take time for you to adapt and for everything to come back into balance in our friend group. And maybe it never will- I won’t blame you if you can’t bring yourself to face Jungkook again.”
Despite the fact that you know you want more, and you’re pretty sure Joon does too based on the number of times his eyes have drifted to your lips and your neck, the two of you hold each other in an innocent hug. You know the feelings that you have right now are just a sea of raging hormones, and not your brain or your heart. It’s like being 12 all over again, and realizing that romantic attraction is a thing, but this is Joon. One of your best friends and study buddy. He knows everything about you, and you him (well, except for the vampire thing that you know now. Hopefully there are no other secrets of this magnitude). You’ve spent countless nights talking about philosophy the meaning of human existence, drinking coffee far after it was appropriate to do so, and staying up way too late pondering whether everyone in the world truly has a soulmate. You had both agreed that it was statistically impossible, and Joon maintained that he had read somewhere that everyone actually has thousands of soulmates and people that they could fit with. At the time you had agreed, saying that it seemed unlikely, but you still liked to hope and believe that someone could be out there hoping to meet you as much as you them.
As the hug breaks, you come back to the present, and Joon looks grim.
“What?”
“I hate to bring this up so soon, but it’s not like we really have any choice. You can’t be left alone yet, and we are all required to go to tonight’s binding party. There will be members from other nearby covens and possibly some of our family members. As a recently changed vampire you might be the center of some unwanted attention. It will probably be exceptionally obvious to people that I turned you, unless we are able to get ahold of ourselves in the next 5 hours or so.”
He pauses, assessing your reaction.
“ Not to mention, there are somewhat complicated politics in the vampire world. As the leader of the coven, I am technically the highest ranking in our group. Yoongi is the lowest, since he was originally human. However, through his association with Hobi, who comes from one of the oldest families, most people will leave him alone and afford him a certain degree of respect. That being said, you were also human and most recently turned, so in the vampire world you would be considered the least senior member of our coven. Of course, we don’t actually observe this in our day to day lives, as we’re all best friends and consider each other equals, but we’re relatively human in that sense.” He smiles sadly. “Unfortunately, the vampire world isn’t known for being particularly progressive, and we are the exception to that rule.”
Joon’s ears tinge pink and you again idly wonder about vampire physiology.
“If you’re comfortable with it, I recommend that you stay close to me, and if we act as if we are…dating… they might leave you alone. Until we can officially induct you into the coven, should you so choose, it might be better to stay close to the other members.”
You scoff at the absurdity of it all. “Joon, what do I need protected from? The worst has already happened- I’m a vampire, in case you haven’t been paying attention. I’m trying to come to terms with what I am. What do I care if people gossip about me?”
“Y/N, I want you to do whatever you’re comfortable with. But keep in mind that we live basically forever, and this is the first impression that the others will have of you. Many can be conniving, and there is a lot that you still don’t know-I’m trying to give you the shortened version here.”
“Yoongi mentioned something about dhampirs? Is that what you’re insinuating here?” You might have just been turned, but you didn’t want Joon to think you were a complete idiot, the way he was acting. His eyebrows surge upward and a sense of victory surges in your chest.
“How do you know about those?” Joon asks sharply.
“A little bird told me,” you reply simply, not willing to rat out Yoongi. “Apparently, there has been some kind of sighting,” you continue, trying to play it as though you know more than you actually do. But the feeling of having an advantage over Joon is too rare and too good to pass up. “Besides, can’t you communicate telepathically or something? You should know who told me.”
Joon seems pissed, and your playfulness vanishes. He looms closer, fangs extending, and a deadly serious look in his eyes. “Y/N, this isn’t something to joke about. The dhampir cannot know of your existence, least of all while you’re this new. They are one of the few creatures impervious to our speed, strength, and glamours.  The sole reason they exist is to exterminate us. Luckily, it’s only if we pose a threat to humans, and run-ins are few and far between.”
He pauses and looks at you. You don’t like the wrinkle that has appeared between his brows. How much of a burden were you? Had you stepped out of line bringing up the dhampir?
“Who knows if the one that has been sighted recently would perceive the fact that I turned you a threat? Jungkook biting you was definitely a threat. Besides, a telepathic connection can only be between romantic partners. What kind of vampire books were you reading?” he sighs tiredly and runs his hand through his hair. It’s sticking off to the side, and for some reason that electrical feeling returns and your heart starts to beat fast again.
He looks up, and you casually walk to the bathroom to inspect your wound in the mirror again, despite the fact that ever instinct is telling you to stay as close to Namjoon as possible. But you are (or were) human (once), so you control yourself, and move away anyway.
“So how formal is this shindig? How will I cover this up?” you ask, turning to Joon, who has somehow appeared in the doorway to the bathroom, looking at your neck as well. The longer his eyes linger there, the sadder they seem. You decide that Joon has given up enough to help you, so you grab his hand (acting way more casual than you feel on the inside), and lead him to the door.
“Whatever, I’ll figure it out. Don’t worry and go rest up. I’m sure you have a lot of things to prepare for tonight.” As you push him out the door, Jin returns, hands full.  You can’t be sure but you swear that you see something pass between them as Joon leaves and Jin returns. You decide that then and there, whatever tonight brings, you refuse to mess up your friendship with the two who have literally saved you. You will act however they need, if it means doing something good for them.

MY IDOL MAYRA , so i was wondering how would you feel about writing a jealous!sonic which leads into feelings being revealed;);) ((so au ! I know but i can't resist)) if you don't mind ofc, have an amazing day ur da coolest 😎😎
ofc? Out of character? I’m quite a stickler for character, but I try and find plausible ways the characters can stay true to themselves and also develop where AU’s can be possible. I think I can make this plausible, leading it into some deep AU (aka shipping crap xD) but I’ll do my best to keep everyone in character until that AU transition is over :) Sound good? lol
Prompt:
“I could, take you home, if you want?”
This boy had been flirting with Amy the whole adventure, and she had tried to be polite and just laugh it off like she didn’t realize it, but over time she began to get shyly embarrassed by it.
What made it worse was Sonic was RIGHT THERE and didn’t DO ANYTHING to stop it!
She was furious that he was so close, and yet, let this creep keep trying!
“Ehem, um… well…” she scooting more towards Sonic, having his arms folded, looking away and up at the sky.
He wasn’t looking at anything in particular, but what Amy didn’t know was that him being so close to keep the guy in line…
He had tried to convince the dude, indirectly, so to speak… that Amy only loved him and him alone, and no one could change her mind.
“Well… that’s probably because she’s never known real love before.”
That pompous statement sent a fire through his veins like he never knew before, and ever since then, he hasn’t let the guy be alone with Amy.
That creep wasn’t going to lay a HAND on her if he had anything to say about it.
However… just like, Amy, Sonic was also misreading her reactions too.
Her shy getaway act and not answering him directly made him nervous… he wondered if Amy really was being wooed by this confident… freak-a-zoid!
He needed him due to him being the only one who knew the exact location of the hidden village with the new mineral ore that Eggman was using to make his latest machines.
Apparently, being the only one who escaped, he was able to find Sonic and the team to tell them his people were being enslaved by Eggman to mine in the ore for him, having his robots supervise them as a threat to not step out of line.
Amy looked up to Sonic, but he interpreted that as her thinking, not so much her indirect, plea in body language to say, “HELP ME.”
He looked away, worried that she might actually go with someone who seemed to like her over himself…
He looked down.
Amy misread that as he was letting her go, and her heart nearly broke at his expression.
His eyes scanned the ground, before he gave a cold look to the boy across from him.
‘…I can’t just let him take her! Can I..?’ His heart was hurting, pretty badly actually, that he was just letting this all happen.
He bore his teeth and looked away again, turning his head slightly back to the ground.
‘It’s Amy’s life… it’s her decision.. I … I shouldn’t interfere.’
He was about to turn completely away, leave Amy to make the decision for herself, as he tightened his selfish fists to try and not make a dash at the dude, knock him out, and whisk Amy away.
‘What is this!? What’s happening to me!? I’m so mad! I could just..!’ he lifted his fists up, about to take a step away, as he faced Amy with his back.
She truly thought he was shunning her away, leaving her to this guy’s awkward flirting.
But why?
‘Sonic would never be this cruel…’ she thought to herself, her arms outstretched to him weakly,… as if not knowing if it was okay to ask for help or even for him to stay…
She felt more comfortable that she wasn’t alone with this guy… but if Sonic left.
‘I’ve never felt so selfish in my life!’ Sonic almost felt his jaw and head ache from the force he was pushing onto his teeth.
‘I want her to not like him. I want her to stay with me. By me. Beside me… Ahhh! I can’t just let her fall for another dude!’
He swiped his head a moment, back and forth, but Amy took that as he was telling her not to resist, or not to come any closer.
In desperation… she leaped.
Sonic’s eyes shot open and widened, leaning his head slowly up as he felt her arms around his waist, gripping his stomach as she trembled, her head ducked down and bent with tears.
“Sonic…”
He doesn’t really recollect what happened to him after that.
All of a sudden, like instinct, he pulled her close and pushed in front of her, holding her like the most precious possession in the world, and glaring at the dude.
“She’s got a ride.” he scooped her up, not even thinking as he spoke, and walked away. “Always.”
The guy blinked, not sure what all that indirect communication was about.
“Uhh…uhh… okay?”
He seemed to realize that Amy wouldn’t ever go for him, and sighed, letting the two escape.
Amy was so taken aback, not only did he respond quickly and even held her so close that her heart raced at the how protectively he had stated those words…
But it almost felt like…
Like…
She was his.
“Sonic..?” She looked up at him, grateful but concerned as his hands were slightly hurting her.
For some reason… his tight grip was comforting though, but his face was fierce, making her panic a moment that maybe he was mad at her actions.
She stifled a quivering sound from her lips, something like a gasp and to say more, but dared not too.
‘What’s going on? It’s like I physically can feel that I almost lost her something.’ Sonic was so consumed in his confusion inside his thoughts, he failed to notice how worried-stricken Amy looked.
‘All I could think of was if that guy even dared opposed me, I would have knocked his head straight to the ground… I’ve never felt like that before. Amy’s not… she’s not something I… or anyone can possess! So… so why do I care so much that she’s in my arms? Not his?’
He shook his head, it still hurt from how he pressed down on his jaw so hard, before finally seeing Amy’s expression.
He stopped, worry at terrifying her crept into his being.
“Are you alright?” it was unthought of, just impulse again.
He barely hesitated as she nodded, before speaking again.
“I don’t want you speaking with him again.”
Amy had never seen him so… so demanding.
He was usually so calm under pressure, very cocky about everything.
What on earth was going on inside his head?
“Sonic… are you okay?” she lifted a hand up to his face, which he quickly glanced at, growing shy and turning away.
“Why…” she flinched her hand away, hurt by his response, still not understanding.
“Why are you pulling away from me?”
‘Away?’
Sonic turned back.
“This whole time… I’ve been pulling towards you.”
When he realized his thought had come out without his conscious knowledge of it, he flickered his eyes in blinks of surprise.
“Crap! You weren’t suppose to hear that..” he turned away, still not having any control over his mouth.
“S…Son..” Amy’s breath was fully taken from her lungs. She was so shocked, but hope filled her heart and had her awing this new side of Sonic she had never seen before.
His feet fidgeted.
A new feeling now rocked his knees… threatening to freeze up.
“Uh oh.” Sonic looked down, seeing the effects and quickly running to try and loosen them.
“Sonic?”
He gritted his teeth again, this was so awkward, but at the same time…
“Why did you not tell him off?”
It came out a little harsh…
“What?” she looked amazed.
He kept running, bending his head down now in rage, not realizing what she was conveying in her behavior to him…
They both were misinterpreting the other… leading to some confusing actions and responses.
“Sonic…” she arched her eyelids back, realizing what this meant.
Was he… worried about her?
“I… I would never trust anyone but you!” she blurted out, leaning up in his arms and gaining enough courage to wrap her arms around his neck when the wind picked up.
Then she noticed it wasn’t the wind…
Her eyes blinked more open from squinting against the wind to realize he was running faster.
He had to let his anger out somehow.
‘No other!? Then tell him to buzz off! Pfft, I don’t believe that.’ Sonic grew aggressive, before his hands gripped her tighter.
“Ah.” she felt the pain a moment before he looked down and seemed shaken by her cry of slight pain.
He pushed his feet down to a halt, and set her down, but his hands only momentarily hovered at her sides.
“I’m sorry… Amy, I-” he looked away, ashamed he couldn’t control his emotions.
“AUGH!” he finally emoted.
He gripped his hands to his head and walked away, turning from her again as he reeled his head back, “What’s wrong with me!? I can’t think straight. I’m so… so mad!!!”
“He couldn’t take a hint.” Amy tried to calm Sonic down, but was afraid of this new response in him she hadn’t seen before.
She gripped her sides, holding herself, not sure how to address this.
“Hey!” she called out, worried. “Don’t … don’t turn away from me again. It feels like your shutting me off or out of your life!”
He froze then.
Suddenly realization made him move his hands from his head, and straighten out.
Turning… away… made her think he was closing her out from him?
That simple communication made him turn around, a part of his confusion cleared.
“Turn you away..?” he looked tenderly to her, and staggered on his feet, still feeling the weakness in his knees…
“Amy…” he spoke so gently then, so full of something Amy had never heard out of his voice before, and made her full attention turn to him in the fading day.
“…All I’ve been doing is trying to get you to run into my arms… so that I can protect you.” he felt this wasn’t something he would natural say, but something was pumping through his veins, adrenaline?
“All this time, I’ve hated that guy!” He threw a fist up, showing his true feelings, communicating for once in his life against his own better judgement, unable to keep it back any longer…
“The way he looks at you, flirts with you… it’s like he thinks he’s good enough to own you! You aren’t anyone’s to claim, Amy! You’re not!” He shook his head, frustration and desire to keep her all to himself creeping in on his being.
He couldn’t shake it off, he felt embarrassed now, he didn’t want to say anymore as he trembled with pent-up aggression.
“Sonic… I am owned to something…” she stepped forward, putting her hands together, “I… My heart’s always been yours to keep… Sonic.” she thought he knew that by now.
Sonic’s head slowly rose, more surprise hit him than anger.
He looked at her almost dumbfounded.
“…Come again?” he spoke lightly, in disbelief.
“I may not know a lot about… love or affection but-” she looked away, saddened by that fact of inexperience, but placed both hands on his face.
“But with all my heart, Sonic… I know I love you.”
It was the first time those words had graced Sonic’s ears.
It ringed for a moment. A beautiful bell in a drum consumed world.
He felt his whole being relax and almost fall into her touch, being comforted against his will was weird and terrifying, but in that moment, he wasn’t able to think straight.
He just let himself stare at her, and in a new light, see how beautiful having her around him really was.
His heart beat off course, his body felt limp, all the things that should have put him into an awkward panic felt…. natural for him, all of a sudden.
The air stilled uncomfortably, but in the warmth her hands gave, he still felt peace.
‘This isn’t right.’
Sonic moved away, snapping out of his strange entrancement and moving away, looking left and right at the ground.
“I’m…” he looked so vulnerable up to her.
She was going to misinterpret this again.
She scanned each of his eyes, seeing his confusion and fear.
“Sonic… I… Didn’t you know?” She felt confused too.
“It’s not that… it’s…” he waved his hands out, showing her he’s always known about her crush on him… as silly as it was, he never minded it all that much…
It was was he was feeling… his body telling him things he didn’t understand… his reaction that was unconsciously being done was what was spooking him.
“I can’t…” he gripped his chest, where his heart was beating irregularly for him. “I can’t understand what I’m feeling.”
Admitting this almost gave a flood of relief over him.
He had never been able to talk this much about his feelings before, but now, with Amy.. almost having that threat of someone take her away from him had left him unable to fully control himself.
“,,,What do you feel?” Amy was amazed by his response, but wanted to take it a step further.
As she stepped forward, his fear peaked again, and he held a hand out, walking back.
“N-no...wait a second...”
She paused.
‘...I’ve been waiting too long for this!!!’
Amy ran as fast as she could.
“SOONIICCC!!”
His eyes widened for the third time as she tackled into him, causing them to hit the ground before her head never came up.
He still squirmed, out of habit, but when Amy didn’t respond, he stopped and froze a moment, before looking down at her.
“...No more games, Sonic.” she was twitching, her eyes being forced shut and her arms gripping his body to hers.
“Just tell me... say that you love me.”
The words echoed in Sonic’s subconscious, but his thoughts were mostly on how he was ever gonna get out of his awkward fiasco.
Just say it.
Just say you love her.
You’ll keep her with you.
No one will be able to take her away from you.
‘I won’t allow it.’
Sonic narrowed his eyes, for once, understanding what he wanted and what his... no, it had to be.
What his heart had been trying to tell him for years.
He held her back, slowly letting the force be strong enough to show intent but not harmful like he accidentally had let slip before.
He ducked his head down, then back, chest feeling gripped as he couldn’t get the words out right.
Every part of him screamed!
He had to say it! Now was the only time he had left TO say it.
If he didn’t ... he knew he would never let it get this... this bad or desperate again.
He would never allow himself to say it after today... or night? It was growing strangely dark, how long have they been out here?
He looked back on the falling sun, then up as if his gasps for air pained him, his chest still quivering and something warm in his stomach or bowls.
He crunched slightly, as if trying to stop this sensation.
As all this happened, she remained silent.
“...I.. Gosh darn it, Amy! I-!” he bit down on the words, as if he didn’t want to say them, but he knew he had too.
“I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU!”
Her head jerked slightly up, but her eyes were hidden in shadows.
“I’ve always wanted to protect you, ever since I first met you, I’ve felt strangely drawn to wanting to be by your side! In your favor! I’ve always thought it a nuisance, never you! Just the desire to help you! Make you smile! Laugh! It’s all been so.. .so frustrating! After all this time, I don’t want anyone calling you ‘pretty’ or ‘there’s! I can’t stand it! You’re not there’s! You’ve always been my responsibly! Even if I didn’t want it, you were still there! I had to protect you! I had to keep you safe! I had to keep you, Amy... I ... I ...” he had kicked, squirmed, as if fighting each word coming out... until he finally lost, and slight tears formed so faintly that they dried up in an instant as he closed his eyes.
He gasped in his tantrum, the words he never let fall from his lips before.
“I hate that I love you so much... that I can’t let you go.”
“I can’t let you be free.”
“It’s the most selfish thought I’ve ever had...”
“To ever tell you ....”
“To tell you that I would marry you.”
“Just not now.”
“Not while I’m still running.”
“But you waited for me...”
“You never gave up.”
“I think that’s what I’ve admired the most Amy.”
“You waited till I had everything to give, and not enough strength to hold it back anymore.”
He felt something wet and looked down, seeing Amy’s tears as her eyes shook with unparalleled emotion.
“...Ah, geez.” he threw his head back again, letting the feeling of piercing the cold ground with the impact of his quills distract momentarily from how weak he truly felt, how vulnerable in that moment he was to her.
“I can’t stand that I love you.”
“Sonic...”
“I can’t even look at you.”
“Sonic, please...”
She reached up for him to look at her, placing her hands to his face.
“Call it destiny... or fate. But Amy. You had me at my name.”
He looked up at her, seeming to have been forced to say it all by his own heart and body tag-teaming it, but also looking like he faced his greatest fear and was so done with fighting it anymore.
He had drooped, almost unfeeling eyes then, as he spoke one last thing to her.
“Are you gonna kiss me now or what?”
Amy was so amazed that she laughed, offending him.
“Hey! What gives?! I pledge my loyalty and love and you laugh!? LAUGH!? Great, I’m hopelessly, and fiercely in love with a cynical woman.”
She shook her head, covering her mouth in her shock.
“Sonic..!”
“Go on. Say it. I told you so.” he turned his head, as if dramatic.
“I know you. You’ll plan the wedding arrangements. No matter how much I’ll protest.”
“No, Soniicc!!”
“You’ll tell the whole world the awful, tantalizing scandal of Miss Amy Rose and the infamous Sonic The Hedgehog.”
“SONNICC!!”
“You’ll have four kids and I’ll just tag along for the fun.”
“I’M LAUGHING CAUSE I’M SO HAPPY, YOU-! OH, I LOVE YOU!” she spread her arms out wide and fell right back on top of him, kissing him over and over, all over his sad little face that showed he truly gave in to his feelings, and had to accept that fact.
She kept repeating, “I love you, I love you, I love you.” As if that was a release for her.
He couldn’t help but get a softer face at each amazing wave or gush of warm feeling that spiraled throughout him with each kiss.
Suddenly, touch wasn’t an issue.
Suddenly, his shyness wasn’t even a thing anymore.
He... actually... liked this.
She wore out after a moment as her words became quieter, more muttery, as she realized he wasn’t pushing her away at all.
After seeing her face change, he leaned up and began letting his own declaration slip here and there... across the cheek, over the lips, passed the nose and down and up and over and across till he lost track of what the heck he was doing.
No more needs to be written, right? Self-explanatory, they’re in love, AU is a thing, and I’m going to bed. Nighty nighty!

Three Isn’t Always A Crowd
So I got a request for a Reverb fic from @kyandrila with the starters “Kiss me”, and “You didn’t see that coming?” and I had this idea that you’re about to read (or not, I’m not gonna force ya). I just got to thinking, what would happen if someone asked me to choose between Cisco And Reverb? And my conclusion was basically the same as that scene in “The Road to El Dorado”, you know that one, right? So here it is, hope you all like it! Enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He had fucked up. There was really no other way to put it, he had acted on an impulse, done something he shouldn’t have, and it had been a massive mistake. God how could he be so stupid? Back on Earth 2, if he’d let his emotions take hold like this, he would have never survived long enough to even meet his doppelganger, let alone you...perhaps it would have been better that way… It had been something of a hectic day when he’d hitched a ride with Cisco back to this world, he’d only just been treated for the injuries Zoom had caused him, he was still reeling slightly from the idea that he was now considered dead on his home world and as such couldn’t go back so long as Zoom was still alive. He was vulnerable, both physically and emotionally, which is probably the only reason your greeting had affected him at all. It had been an honest mistake on your part, how could you have known that your Cisco had a doppelganger on Earth 2, or for that matter that said doppelganger would be joining him on his trip home? The odds of such an occurrence were infinitesimally small, and yet somehow it had happened; and when Reverb had stepped through the portal and come out the other side to a beautiful woman rushing to kiss him, well he wasn’t going to say no. You had smiled at him like nobody had in far too long, and if he had to pinpoint the moment it all went wrong for him, he would have said it was when you smiled. Things had gotten awkward quite rapidly after that, once Cisco himself had made it through. If Francisco hadn’t been so dazed, he might have laughed at the shock on your face at seeing his double, he might have even made a witty comment about the women on this earth being much friendlier than the other, but he hadn’t; he’d simply watched as you looked him over, turning a dazzling shade of crimson before you ran from the room, too embarrassed to stay. That should have been the end of the whole affair, he should have forgotten your kiss and lived his new life on this earth without a second thought on what had happened that day, but he just couldn’t seem to forget you. The fact that after that, you’d started dating his doppelganger didn’t exactly help matters, but he had been your intended target in the first place, so he couldn’t exactly cry foul there, and he couldn’t really blame Cisco for reciprocating your affections….after all, he did, and they weren’t even his to reciprocate. You were far too kind to him as well, that was another fan to his flame; its strange how little value he’d put on kindness in his old life, only to have it be his bread and butter here, almost desperately seeking your kindness and friendship even though you offered it to him as freely as air to breathe. You had been the one to come to him after your awkward first meeting, still quite pink with embarrassment, but you were determined to apologize and make sure he hadn’t been made uncomfortable. He had laughed at the notion, making a comment about it being difficult to be uncomfortable with a pretty woman kissing you, a small thrill shooting through him as you blushed a shade darker. Your offer of friendship was the first he received from the team, before even his doppelganger’s, which honestly he wasn’t surprised by as he’d been less than friendly with Cisco in that alley; you were likely the only reason the others began to trust him, acting as a sort of sponsor for his transition to the good side, cheering him on with little smiles and quick hugs, all the normal things that friends do to encourage each other…and yet they were also all the things that made him want you. The mistake happened after a day of fighting, he had subbed in for Cisco so that you and him could have a date, though in his mind it was really so he could punch something to take his mind off of you and Cisco in a state of domestic bliss. That train of thought was what had distracted him, getting him knocked rather forcefully into a brick wall by a meta with super strength while Barry zipped around, trying for his lightening strike technique. Embarrassment had him sulking in his room set up in the Star Labs basement, and that was where you’d found him, a kind concerned smile on your face as you asked him if he were ok. Perhaps it was the pain he was in, or the kindness in your eyes as your hand rested on his arm, hell it might have even been the embarrassment he felt prodding at him from the inside to seek more comfort from you than your kinds words; whatever it was didn’t really matter anymore, what mattered was that he’d kissed you. He’d been gentle, using your hand on his arm to pull you close, pressing his lips to yours and going dizzy from the euphoria of finally doing it, only to be brought sharply back to his senses as you pulled back in shock. This time your shock was not amusing, your face going pale instead of pink as you swiftly stood and backed away from him. He knew from that moment he had done something terrible, something unforgivable, something that had likely destroyed his friendship with you if not the entire team all together. His mind couldn’t even formulate an apology, it was too busy screaming at him to get out, to run, to get as far away from you as he could so that he didn’t have to see the confusion in your eyes turn to fear. He’d sprinted from his room, running until his lungs told him he couldn’t go any further, locking himself in a dusty disused supply closet where he berated himself for his stupidity. The few shelves left within his hideout were soon smashed, their contents obliterated with vibrations until he had exhausted himself, sliding down the wall in a heap as silent tears stained his face. Sleep took him at some point, his exhaustion and the darkness around him lulling him into a dreamless slumber, covered in dust and dried tears on his face is how you found him, sleeping propped up against the wall like some ancient sentry long forgotten. “Francisco?” He startled awake, a small cloud of dust flying off of him as he jumped, his confused eyes blinking in the dim light until they looked up and found you. Your heart nearly broke as fear sparkled in his eyes, another cloud of dust rising into the air as he tried to shuffle away from you. “Y/N I-” he faltered, pausing to brush off the rest of the dust as he struggled to find the right words, “what...why are you…how did you even find me?” he settled on asking, his palms hastily scrubbing the tear tracks from his face. “Well I didn’t, Cisco did,” you admit softly, “after you ran I uh...well I tried looking for you myself, but I didn’t have much luck, so I had Cisco Vibe you,” you chewed your lip as he froze, undoubtedly running through the possibilities of exactly how your conversation with Cisco had gone, specifically why it was so important to find you. “Listen Y/N,” He turned to face you, but his eyes remained locked on your knees, unable to meet yours as he spoke, “I...I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me, but I swear to you it won’t happen again, I don’t want -” “Its ok,” you cut him off, smiling down at him softly, “you don’t have to apologize Francisco, I’m not-” “No it’s not ok,” he cut you off in turn, his eyes snapping up to yours, his jaw clenching before he went on, “it was inappropriate for me to kiss you without your permission first of all, and second you’re not even mine to kiss, you’re my friend, Cisco is the one who gets to kiss you, and I know that, so it doesn’t matter what my feelings for you might be, you and him are together, and I shouldn’t have….I shouldn’t have done what I did...I’m sorry.” You were at a loss for words for a moment, his face was so tense and rigid you didn’t even want to speak, you just wanted to gently soften him with a touch; but that would likely only confuse or frighten him, so you snapped back to your senses, carefully moving to kneel beside him so that your eyes were closer to the same level as his. “Francisco, what you did was...surprising to say the least,” you began, your gentle smile still in place as his mouth twitched on the edge of a frown, “I mean I know that I kissed you the day we met, but I thought that was just an embarrassing memory between us, I didn’t think it would lead to anything-” “Y/N please, I-” he tried to speak, but you shook your head, silencing him. “No Francisco just….just listen ok?” you reached out, putting your hand on his arm like you had before, his body immediately going rigid at your touch, but you kept it there, unimposing and gentle. “I didn’t think that kiss would lead to anything, especially since I started dating Cisco right after that, but I was obviously wrong,” you chuckled at how silly you felt for missing the signs, remembering them now they all seemed so obvious. Your little laugh however only made him even more uncomfortable, his eyes casting down to the floor just as you caught the glimmer of fresh tears in them. “Y/N...” he whispered, the edge of his voice shaking as he looked determinedly away, “please don’t...please...I understand if you don’t want to be friends anymore, but please...don’t do this...don’t explain it to me like a child...I know what I did, I know there are consequences for these things...” his voice was beginning to shake even more now, his hands clenched into fists in his lap. You were beginning to grow nervous now, you didn’t want to upset him, you only wanted to explain to him…to tell him…but then maybe telling him wasn’t the right way to do this? Then you had an idea, “Francisco,” you said him name as soft and sweet as you could, your hand on his arm moving down to carefully circle his fist, “kiss me.” He didn’t move, didn’t even breathe really, he thought he’d hallucinated your words, his mind stuttering to a stand still as his heart began to pound. He raised his eyes to look at you, utter confusion reflected in them as his lips parted just enough to whisper, “What?” You decided repeating yourself was superfluous when instead you could act. You lifted your free hand to his face, carefully caressing his cheek as you pulled him closer and pressed your lips to his. The response he gave you was delayed a few moments, probably because he couldn’t believe what was happening, but when he did respond it made your lips curve into a smile against his. He kissed you back with a gentle urgency, the tension of his body melting away as his hands unclenched, grabbing hold of yours and clinging to it as though it was a life raft in a stormy sea. When you broke apart he gasped, his eyes closed as you looked at him, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he breathed in and out. When he finally did look at you, his mouth immediately curled up into a smile, but there was uncertainty in his eyes that made you frown slightly. “You didn’t see that coming?” you asked, hoping that was the source of the hesitation in his gaze. He shook his head, laughing softly as he answered, “Honestly, no I did not,” but his hand on your wrist held firm, and his smile faltered slightly as he added, “but I don’t...I don’t understand why?” “Why?” You repeated somewhat incredulous, “Well I...Francisco isn’t it obvious?” you smiled as you caressed his cheek, squeezing your hand around his wrist, “I’m not mad at you for kissing me, I’m actually kind of relieved because…well because I thought I was the only one who had….those sort of feelings-” “But what about Cisco?” he interrupted, “Y/N I want this more than anything, but I can’t…I won’t take you away from someone else, especially not my own doppelganger.” You blinked at him, having nearly forgotten about Cisco completely in your focus on telling Francisco how you felt, but at the mention of him your mind suddenly snapped back into place, “Oh, no Francisco, I’m not...I’m not breaking up with him for you,” the pain and sadness was immediately back in his eyes as you spoke, so you hastily continued, “we both…umm...how do I put this, we-” “What she’s trying to say is,” you both started as Cisco’s voice sounded from the closet doorway, a soft smile on his face as he looked down at you two floundering like awkward ducklings on the floor, “is that we would like to ask you out on a date, all three of us.” Francisco’s eyes went wide as he stared up at his doppelganger, then back down at you, “You...you want to what?” he asked, his brain about a hairs breadth away from completely crapping out. “When I asked Cisco to vibe you, I explained to him what happened,” you began, “and he was upset at first, because he thought I was upset about you kissing me...but when I explained to him that I was upset because I was now conflicted about my feelings for both of you-” “I offered the helpful solution of a polyamorous relationship,” Cisco finished for you, grinning at the mixture of surprise, confusion, and interest on Francisco’s face. “Hang on,” Francisco ventured, “so instead of getting angry that I kissed your girlfriend, you decided it was a better idea to just date me along with her?” Cisco gave him a curious little frown, “Why not?” he asked with a shrug, “I mean you were giving me the eye when we met on Earth 2, and I mean narcissism aside, you’re an attractive guy,” he shrugged again, “I mean you can say no if you want, we might be doppelgangers but I mean that doesn’t mean we both have to be bi.” Francisco’s eyes widened at that, “You’re actually serious,” he realized with a surprised smile, “you actually want to do this, to date her and me...” Cisco gave another shrug as he frowned thoughtfully, “Well I mean I don’t like, have a burning desire to date a guy with the same face as me, but I’ll give it a shot, I mean if Y/N has feelings for both of us, then who am I to force her to choose?” he stepped forward, putting his hands on your shoulders as he smiled down at you, “to be honest it’s kind of endearing to know that she loves both of us, its like she loves me in any universe,” he grinned as Francisco quirked an eyebrow at his comment. “I thought you said narcissism aside?” you asked as you looked up at Cisco, sticking your tongue out at him as he grinned back at you. “Oh come on, this is me we’re talking about, if he says yes then you’re both in for a long road of self love jokes, so y’all better buckle up,” he laughed and you laughed with him, but Francisco was silent, his expression unreadable as he regarded you both. After a moment, you gave his hand a squeeze and asked, “So...what do you think?” His brow furrowed, “What happens if I say no?” he asked, making your heart drop into your stomach at the possibility of being forced to choose between them. You honestly didn’t know who you would choose if he said no, because you loved Cisco and wanted to live a happy life with him for as long as possible, but you also loved Francisco, and you wanted to see him as happy as you were with Cisco, and you wanted to be the cause for that happiness. “Are you saying no?” Cisco asked in your place, saving you the struggle of responding, “because if you are then that means we’re back to square one here, and I gotta tell ya, that would be kind of a dick move putting Y/N in that position.” Francisco locked his eyes with yours, searching them for something you couldn’t figure out. Finally he smiled, shaking his head, “No I am not saying no,” he replied, “I supposed dating my doppelganger won’t be so bad, not if it means I get to have you.” You felt your cheeks burn as you smiled broadly at him. Before you could formulate words, you surged forward, wrapping your arms around him as he wrapped his arms around you in turn. This all felt like a dream, like any moment you would wake up in your bed at home with your conflicting emotions buzzing in your brain. “Aww,” Cisco cooed from above, “let me get in on this,” you felt him kneel down behind you, another set of arms encircling you as he pressed against your back. “Thank you,” you whispered through your happy tears, “thank you both so much.” “You can’t thank me for loving you,” Francisco whispered back, “it doesn’t work like that.” “Shut up and say you’re welcome,” Cisco replied as he nuzzled your hair. At that Francisco snickered, “This relationship won’t work if you keep up that attitude kid,” “Kid?” Cisco cried, “we are literally the same age-” “Oh both of you shut up,” you finally intervened, “just let me enjoy this moment for a little while before you two start squabbling.” “Sorry,” Cisco replied softly, hugging you both a little tighter. You smiled against Francisco’s neck as you hummed in reply, closing your eyes as you let yourself enjoy the moment. You knew you were incredibly lucky, not only to have such an understanding and loving boyfriend who was willing to bring another guy into your relationship just so you wouldn’t have to choose, but also to have two wonderful guys who were willing to enter a relationship together just so that they could share you. You sighed as you listened to your collective heart beats, the sound almost lulling you to sleep until: “So when do I get to make out with myself?” Francisco jibed, the smirk on his face coming through in his tone. “Hey buddy, maybe buy me a drink first?” Cisco replied haughtily, “we’re not all as easy as you.” You rolled your eyes as Francisco cackled back at him, this was going to be a very interesting relationship to say the least...

Developing intuition
I was born a very intuitive child. I’ve always felt what others deem impossible may very well be the truth. I was born a deep person with an interest in metaphysics, the supernatural, and unexplained phenomenon. As the years passed I attempted to conform to this matrix for a period of around 16 years; I would say from age 16 to 32.
During this time my connection with my inner and higher self(ves) got weaker instead of getting stronger as it should have. I still continued to have crazy experiences which in the end helped me wake up.
The programming we are subjected to is from birth. It can be hard to avoid getting sucked into and even more difficult break free from. Fortunately I didn’t buy into as much of the programming as the average person. I’ve been an avid reader my entire life and question everything. I attribute my love of reading to why I didn’t get as hypnotized as my peers.
Every time I have ignored a gut feeling it has ended up being foolish. I’ve had so many things that I hear my head in various voices (spirits and/or telepathic connections with other humans) come true; I couldn’t begin to remember or list them all. I know now this is what is known as being clairaudient.
I am also claircognizant - clear knowing. I literally get information as if out of the air and mysteriously know things time and time again. I check what information is verifiable and it is virtually always correct. Only once or twice been wrong. That’s claircognizance.
I can feel the energy and the feelings of others I interact with. It’s harder online than in person but I can usually get a read on someone I haven’t met in person if I try. This skill is something I’ve previously ignored but after realizing I was surrounded by bad people several years ago, listening to my gut and reading others has proven to be invaluable. Connection with feelings is the clairsentience and from being an empath. Being an empath is its own topic honestly.
I’m almost six years into this process and I feel better mentally than I’ve ever felt. Physically I would still like to improve. Overall I am very happy and proud of my progress.
What is intuition? Intuition is defined 6 ways by dictionary.com.
Intuition
1. direct perception of truth, fact, etc., independent of any reasoning process; immediate apprehension.
2. a fact, truth, etc., perceived in this way.
3. a keen and quick insight.
4. the quality or ability of having such direct perception or quick insight.
5. Philosophy.
* an immediate cognition of an object not inferred or determined by a previous cognition of the same object.
* any object or truth so discerned.
* pure, untaught, noninferential knowledge.
6. Linguistics. the ability of the native speaker to make linguistic judgments, as of the grammaticality, ambiguity, equivalence, or nonequivalence of sentences, deriving from the speaker's native-language competence.
Developing intuition is a process so don’t expect to tap in overnight. The goal is to see which of these recommendations you can add into your life one or two at a time. Then when you master one thing choose a new one to add in. In a few months you should notice your intuition improving if you consistently work at it.
Things to do to connect with your intuition are:
Pay attention to the very first feeling you have about a situation. This can be hard because our mental programs turn on very fast.
Notice when this first feeling was right. This is how you train the brain to pay attention and trust.
Stop being embarrassed about your feelings. Getting in touch with your feelings may be the must important step in tapping into your intuition. Acknowledge and understand your feelings. Our feelings are guidance along the way. Negative is what needs to be changed and positive is what you should strengthen.
Connect with your inner self by meditating and do it consistently. At least three 10 to 15 min sessions per week. Meditation helps you to get quiet and learn to be in the present moment. At the heart of any meditation is the practice of quieting the mind which can help us get in tune with our intuitive self.
Take up journaling. Be free, creative, open, and expressive in them. Don’t worry about spelling and punctuation. Criticism and editing have their place in formal writing but not in writing to develop intuitive skill. Keep an intuition journal of intuitive impressions that come through dreams, thoughts, sensations, or instantaneous insights.
Connect with your creative side. When you get into a creative flow your mind transitions to stillness. Picking up a hobby you enjoy is a good way to do this.
Go out into nature. Nature often has a calming and centering effect, which helps you access intuition.
Pay attention and be aware. In order to develop intuitive abilities you must pay attention to what is going on around you. The more data you absorb from your environment, the more your subconscious mind has to work with when you have to make an important decision.
Learn to trust your hunches and gut feelings. At first this can be scary but it gets easier.
5 Instincts you shouldn’t ignore:
1. Excitement about an opportunity. Something is pulling you towards it, and you could regret not following such an impulse. Oftentimes such an opportunity changes our life path.
2. A sense that you’re not well. Your body knows far well more than you give it credit. See your doctor.
3. A feeling of danger No matter when you get the feeling that you’re in danger, give it serious credibility and try to change your situation.
4. Being drawn to someone. If there’s a feeling in your gut telling you that you should speak to someone, make polite conversation and see where it leads.
5. A feeling of rightness Your heart knows what is good for you. It will point in the right direction before your logical brain ever has the chance to catch up.
10 Warning Signs from the universe:
1. Unexpected delays keep arising
2. Uneasy feeling in your stomach
3. Uncanny roadblocks and challenges keep arising.
4. Getting into frequent fights
5. You can’t sleep properly.
6. You keep getting sick.
7. You’re more clumsy than usual.
8. Dread or anxiety fills you.
9. You keep seeing “negative omens.”
10. You get into accidents.
I hope this information is helpful for readers. Focus on parts you resonate with.

Growing Gerwig: a guide to an unofficial trilogy
Allow us to introduce you to the Greta Gerwig Cinematic Universe.
In Frances Ha, the titular heroine apologizes to a friend when her card is declined at restaurant. “I’m so embarrassed,” she admits, “I’m not a real person yet.”
That self-deprecating yet earnest confession would easily fit in any of the last three films Greta Gerwig has written, those being Frances Ha (2012), Mistress America(2015), and Lady Bird (2017). Although this year marked her debut as a director, the 34-year-old multi-hyphenate has already cemented herself as one of independent film’s most unique and developed storytellers with an unofficial trilogy: a trio of films that saw Gerwig balance writing, acting and directing (always doing at least two) while consistently exploring the lives of young women in search of personhood and meaning.
Tellingly, Gerwig sought to be a playwright before finding her initial success through acting. Yet even while performing words that were not her own — words written by established and influential directors like Noah Baumbach, Todd Solondz, Mike Mills at that — her singular artistic intent was apparent from the start, practically bursting through the screen. Of her performance in Greenberg, for example, A.O. Scott wrote: “She seems to be embarked on a project… she is an ambassador of a cinematic style that often seems opposed to the very idea of style.” It is that effortless, almost invisible quality to her performances that suggests her “trilogy” may be completely unintentional (“I like things that look like accidents,” Frances swoons about her art). But it is that same unmistakable M.O. — a voice so new and singular it is heard both in front of the camera and behind it — that hints at the generation-defining filmmaker that is Greta Gerwig.
To use one of her most well-known influences, Lady Bird was not just her 400 Blows, it was the finale to her own Adventures of Antoine Doinel. In place of the same protagonist or actor, however, it’s her perspective of the world that evolves.

“It’s a name given to me, by me.”
Lady Bird. Mistress America. Frances Ha. The trilogy follows the path from high school to college to post-grad life, a continuity that Gerwig wrote and created in reverse chronological order, while also coinciding with her gradual transition off screen (there’s only a handful of frames without her in FH, she’s only in half of MA, and she doesn’t appear in LB). Furthermore, each film is named after a moniker given to the protagonist. The titular Lady Bird (Saoirse Ronan) was born Christine, but, much to the bewilderment of her parents and peers, has given herself a new name that embodies her urgent desire to leave the nest. Mistress America is the name of the autobiographical superheroine that aspiring entrepreneur Brooke pitches to her sister-in-law, Tracy (Lola Kirke), who then uses the title for her short story about Brooke. And finally, and perhaps most subtly, Frances Ha ends with Frances Halladay (whose last name is never mentioned or seen until now) trying and failing to fit her name label into a mailbox. Without a second thought, she folds it by a third and it fits, her last name cut off at “Ha”. It’s not the full person she’s spent the movie trying to become, but it’s two-thirds of the way there, and there’s a poetry to it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Tell me the story of us.”
As much as these films are insular character studies, however, their emotional cores are built on the external relationships these young women have with others, especially other women. LB is, simply put, the story of a daughter and her mother. MA follows the misadventures of two sister-in-laws. FH is largely about the ups and downs in a relationship between two best friends. All three of these relationships go through tender highs and crushing, oftentimes hurtful lows. In the end, Gerwig always brings the women back together in one way or another (the phone call in LB, Thanksgiving brunch in MA, “that moment” in FH) that deepens or changes their connection for the better. And though Gerwig develops every character as uniquely flawed people that challenge her heroines, in many cases they are an extension or reflection of themselves. “I’m Naomi with different hair,” Frances repeatedly jokes of her friend. Lady Bird’s father speaks for the audience when he notes that her and her mother “both have such strong personalities.” And MA, while also continuing co-writer/director Noah Baumbach’s trend of generational gaps, contrasts a young, bright-eyed Tracy with Brooke, who is just starting her thirties, although throughout we can tell they are in many ways the same confused person on opposite ends of the path to adulthood.
“I have trouble leaving places.”
Gerwig fills the movies with an ever-present sense of location, exploring both how they interact with and are shaped by the environments around them. LB is, from beginning to end, unmistakably about how Sacramento (and its landscape of nice homes, “poor” homes, churches, coffee shops) pushes Lady Bird to leave for college in New York City; once there, however, she reconsiders her identity even more, in one instance wandering around the city before finding solace in a Catholic cathedral that reminds her of home. MA is set almost entirely within NYC, as college freshman Tracy navigates a city in which there is everything to do yet few people to enjoy it with; when she meets Brooke, it is a lightning-fast montage of the two engaging in various different settings through the night, each vignette deepening our understanding of Brooke and how different she is from Tracy. They eventually leave for the woods of Greenwich, Connecticut to confront Brooke’s old friends in their literal glass house, which immediately comes to symbolize the illusion of adulthood and responsibility as we notice just how immature the owners are. FH takes this aspect to the limit, having Frances jettison from NYC apartment to NYC apartment, then back to her hometown in Sacramento, then back to her alma mater in Poughkeepsie, and even to Paris, France on a whim — an embarrassingly uneventful and impulsive trip that cements Gerwig’s acknowledgement that in the end, it’s the protagonists that influence their location.
“Sometimes I think I’m a genius and I wish I could just fast-forward my life to the part where everyone knows it.”
There is that running joke online about Gerwig’s characters never being able to pay the rent, a truthful observation and part of her constant examination of the tasks, occupations and other affairs that come with becoming an adult. In all three films, to varying degrees, the heroines strive to become creators or artists. While Tracy might be the only character with a clear career goal, she is bookended by the indecisive ambitions of Lady Bird and Frances, and the necessities of real life affect them all the same. In LB, which is the most painfully class-aware of the three films, Lady Bird takes jobs as a barista and grocery bagger to support herself while lying to her richer friends that she’s been forced to take the jobs to “learn responsibility”. In MA, Tracy is focused on her studies, but the perpetually unemployed Brooke’s spends much of the film working odd jobs as a waitress, soul cycle instructor, and tutoring Algebra. And in FH, of course, Frances spends the movie in a constant state of uncertainty in between working office jobs at dance studios, waiting parties and volunteering as an R.A. at her alma mater.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Never gonna fall for…”
Gerwig’s films, in keeping with her style of performance, are packed to the brim with movement and physicality. While sex is often presented as awkward or constraining for her characters (only LB features the act itself, an underwhelming and unequal encounter for Lady Bird that explains Tracy and Frances’ disinterest in it), they are effortlessly in tune with their bodies and movement, seen dancing, jumping, spinning or thrashing their way through various situations. All of the characters laugh, cry, scream, fight and withdraw, as Gerwig is uninterested in showing us anything less than the full emotional spectrum of her protagonists. While all three films include a boy (never really “men”, as far as emotional maturity and tolerability go) entering the protagonists’ lives to varying degrees of significance, Gerwig’s handling of these relationships consistently communicates the fact they are not who they are looking for, and many times they are embodiments of lifestyles and personalities they are trying run away from. Gerwig takes the adage of learning to love oneself before someone else and injects it with a very specific and modern wisdom.
“So many things!”
There is also, of course, the cinematic and aesthetic joys of Gerwig’s trilogy. While not the director of her first two films, each one feels like an extension or variation on each other all the same. Frances Ha is a tender dramedy filtered through a beautifully rough, 16mm-like (but, like all three films, shot digitally) B&W look while scored exclusively by music from the French New Wave films Frances dreams of her life being like. Mistress America is a slick, 80s-styled but 40s-influenced screwball comedy set to a propulsive synth score. Finally, Lady Bird is a warm family drama told almost entirely in autumnal shades and set to the earnest, organic early-aughts instrumentations of Jon Brion. All three films make constant use of montage and compressed time, an aspect Gerwig demonstrably introduced to Baumbach’s work in FH, and various motifs from bathtubs to windows are reutilized throughout.
Ultimately, Gerwig has created a series of unique individual works of art, each a progression of her talents as she has come into her own as a writer/director, the only type of artist (and one of the most male-dominated) that mainstream film critics and fans are keen to acknowledge. In her interview with the Guardian for Frances Ha, she reveals a stunning desire to remove herself from the egocentrism of such artists. “It feels kind of disgusting, like baking a cake and eating it yourself,” Gerwig says of Baumbach pushing her to act in the film. “Like, I wrote it, and now I’m doing it! It felt very Orson Welles.” That fits with the fact that this is only her unofficial — accidental, maybe — trilogy, but a trilogy with emotional coherence and impact all the same. Whether or not Gerwig wants to acknowledge or wield her status as one of the “new auteurs” — a growing list including Jordan Peele, the Safdie brothers, Dee Rees— is her own prerogative, but God knows we are ready for a generation of film with less of the ego and self-interest that we associate with the “old greats” such as Orson Welles, and more of the tender, observational and possibly invisible genius of artists like Gerwig.
