val (agent 3) is a Cis lesbian. she uses she/her. someone asked if she got kicked out of the NSS for being cis. she holds the title of agent 3 to prevent confusion even though she was FIRED. she's also blonde and white but thankfully not blue-eyed

spingly (agent 4) is a bi transman and uses he/him. he's the only normal one out of everyone else (he later on decides to get his joints replaced with metal). he HATES salmonids and doing salmon run shifts. marie is like his mom

riley (cap'n 3 and Only called cap'n 3) is a sapphic demigirl that uses she/they. i can't tell if her or 8 are more troubled but she's Really anxious. was hired in place of val because val was "too reckless" (that's just how she works), which resulted in riley getting her ass beat BAD by agent 8 not once but TWICE

agent 8 (agent 8) is NONBINARY and uses THEY/THEM (really sticking this into your brain so you'll remember it). they don't have a name but if they did it would probably be "nana ida" which sounds cute, but they don't even respond to the name nana since it's not their birth name. they're also really mean, but they don't show it and keep it to themself. like they don't say mean things (because they rarely ever speak) but they'll probably upset you with no remorse

maggie (neo 3) is a uhhhh.huhhhhhhh.. bigender unlabeled inktoling. i think. i forgot. she uses she/him (no pref) and is super annoying. really stupid and likes to annoy people with his dumb arguments. knows a lot about technology but that's the only field he's smart in

and then vega is a transfem lesbian that uses she/her. she's dating marie and she has a Cool Metal arm. i don't know. she's awesome and she mains splatana and splatling

val is dating one of my friends' ocs (iris) and we hit them with hammers over and over again and burn them alive. this is their daily treatment

8, riley, and spingly are all dating each other. riley is Very dependent on spingly but she tries to manage on her own. both riley and 8 are very awkward with touch, but they know each other's boundaries. spingly is very nice and riley and 8 love him. though, 8 'likes' to make riley uncomfortable by asking her really personal questions or by staring at her too much (because all they do is stare), and sometimes they make her break down into tears (they don't really have much empathy).

maggie is 21 years old but dating nobody because he's just. uninterested. if you flirt with her she'll make fun of you for it

this is canon to me. whenever i see cap3 or 8 i go "OMG that's riley" or "stupid bug looking 8". same with agent 4 but preferrably if it's a green 4

Splatbands Idol AU Part 1 - Ichiya and Namida as The Squid Sisters

Thought I’d finalize my designs for this idea (it’s not really an “AU” despite the title bc the designs are kinda the main focus) where the main bands and idols for each game swap roles. So OTH are Wet Floor, Deep Cut are C-Side, and ofc, the Squid Sisters are Squid Squad. Ichiya and Namida specifically, since I like to think of them as a duo and their colors even fit Splatoon’s main colors of blue and orange!

feat. some kinda lazy art bc I don’t rlly wanna do lineart esp since I’m gonna have to draw the other two groups as well lol. Pretty happy with their designs tho, I think I fused them well.

Even tho this concept is mostly focused on the band characters, this does mean that the idols take their place as well (along with the other band members, so the main band of Splatoon 1 is now Callie, Marie, Ikkan and Murasaki). It gets kinda confusing if you think too hard about it (esp for OTH lol) so we’re just not gonna do that. It’s mostly so I can draw the band characters in cute outfits lol

Anyway Meet Squid Squad! Here to bring news, music, and splatfests to a plaza near you.

The Squid Sisters have a decent amount of story, and although I’m already said in going to worry too much about that, it is pretty easy to merge the squid sisters and squid squad’s stories together, so why not? Instead of growing apart in Splatoon 2 they full on break up, but then get back together and instead start to use pseudonyms (Agent 001 and 002). Guess that means Ikkan and Callie are chill but just distant.

Their personalities are the same tho. Ichiya is still an asshole in Splatoon 1 lol. Maybe not really on the news, but you can see it in Octo Valley for sure. And then I bet He’s nicer in Splatoon 3 but his first reaction to C-Side is definitely not “I love them”

As for Namida, she’s a lil less smug than Marie, but she’s still the more sarcastic of the two, both on camera and off. She’s a little relieved that Agent 4 never heard of Squid Squad and feels weird about being called “boss” all the time.

They both play their instruments on stage during splatfests along with singing, kinda like Marina in We’re So Back. All their songs minus Calamari Inkantation are Squid Squad songs with a more pop-like tinge. (Ikkan left bc he didn’t like all the pop Callie was writing lol).

oh yea and have to mention they probably are agents but they’re not related idk how they’d know captain cuttlefish. Or maybe captain cuttlefish is someone entirely different! Who knows!

Once again this is more of a fun concept than a fully fledged AU. None of these confusing or vague things are gonna get concrete explanations, I just like speculating abt this type of thing.

So for now Courtney is Agent 3/Captain 3 Ezekiel is agent 4 (side order seems like it’s gonna drag agent 4 through the trenches so I’m excited) Agent 8/applicant 10008 is Gwen (agent 8 CANNOT catch a break btw) and Neo 3 is dj (little buddy is still little buddy little buddy does not change) (oh yeah and don is captain cuttlefish) (he gets raisined) (1 and 2 are Geoff and Bridgett and 5-7 do not exist 8 was named agent 8 to shorten applicant 10008)

For the antagonists Octavio is Chris, I didn’t really have anybody in mind for Tartar but tartar can probably stay the same since he’s from the human era and everyone else is not. And then Mr grizz was blainely and she’s also not a bear.

The judds are also the same since I dont want to have to deal with immortality and stuff plus they’re cats (meow)

I don’t know who’s gonna fill up rolls like shopkeeps and band members other than idol groups and to be honest I don’t really care all that much.

Now with Grand-tember out of the way, I can finally begin my Villain Agent 4 AU! I will be writing a fanfiction on this, but expect things to go slowly as I don't have much time to write. I'll also sneak some art in there as well. This is the official design for them :3 (Yes they wear two sets of armour at all times.... they are the substitute leader of the Octarians after all)

The Octarian Boss Tentacle has been (willingly) implanted in them, 4 can control it but it does have a mind of it's own and can influence 4's thoughts. It also acts as an extra limb, grants 4 amazing strength and agility, and can weild an octoshot - though it's on 4's back so don't expect it to have a very good aim.....

Quick overview of the backstory - 4 was abandoned by the rest of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, begins to sympathise with the Octarains, and lets Octavio go in order for him to rescue his army. However, he doesn't realise that all his troops stationed in Octo Canyon weren't taken... 4 decides to look out for them, and eventually becomes their leader. 4 becomes determined to turn Octo Canyon into an Octopia for all remaining Octarians, and that includes viciously warding off any potential threats.

The fanfiction will focus on the perspective of the New Squidbeak Splatoon returning to Octo Canyon and fighting Agent 4 - the protagonist will be Neo Agent 3. Full spoilers for Octo Canyon and Alterna will be included in this!!! So far I've only written a couple of lines, but I do have all of Chapter 1 mapped out in my head. (Haven't decided what platform this will be published on yet though.....)

in this au aspects of Splatoon's lore is more loyal as seen with the fact Meggy is Captain of the Squid Beak Splatoon and was the first Agent 3, the Splatoon Manga is also apart of the world of SMG4 as shown with Goggles and Rider being Agent 4 and 4.5 respectively and the events of the Paper Mario series are VERY much relevant with a new arc appearing named the Paper Jam arc where Mario and his old and new friends team up to stop a new evil from stealing an ancient powerful treasure capable of granting any wish among other changes

other changes include Desti surviving being stabbed but being crippled as a result of it, now needing to use crutches just so she can move

Axol also living but needing a cybernetic body because of the sheer amount of corruption zero put his original body through

the anime arc being renamed the Anime Metro arc which is just a combination of Octo Expansion and Anime island and instead of Peach banning anime, the NSS are put in an urgent new mission to find out why so many inklings have gone missing including Meggy and Marie, and Francis and Tartar teaming up

Meggy is Agent 3/Captain 3, Goggles is Agent 4, Braids is Neo Agent 3, Rider is Agent 4.5, Desti is Agent and Hachi is Agent 8.5

the events of the Splatoon Manga's version of OE are a continuation of Post-Anime Metro because Desti may have gotten amnesia during her debut

Meggy essentially got adopted by the Cuttlefishes when she was 14 and combine that with the fact Mario and her are practically siblings Meggy technically has 4 older siblings, all of whom are annoying as fuck but she loves them

yes, Meggy's hygiene is absolute shit

yes, Meggy was sanitised and now has chronic head aches that flare up if she pushes herself too far in a fight so she has to be really careful or forgo fights all together

Meggy is Team Blue's coach after Goggles asked her to help them out a bit as a favour, now she's attached to these idiots, but then again her brother is Mario and he's a dumbass so Meggy might just have some kind of idiot magnet at this point

A version of the events of Meta Runner will be involved in this continuity but i haven't really watched the series yet so that's up in the air

Mario's Partners from TTYD and the Glitchy Gang actually get along really well, Meggy and Mini-Yoshi (whose named is Giusseppe) get along like a house on fire (the aunt and nephew duo of all time), SMG4 is dragged around with Miss Mouz to do god knows what, Koops and Boopkins both like anime and get along fine, Goombella and Tari actually found an unexpected friendship with eachother, shockingly Bob and Vivian are really close (trans solidarity it seems), Flurrie gets along well with Melony surprisingly and SMG3 follows Bobbery like a loss duckling, much to the veteran's annoyance

Yes, Meggy had a bit of a stroke when she saw the amount of flirting Maryo's autisitic rizz got him into, it's fine though luigi helped her cope

Meggy hates Wireglasses with a passion

yes meggy gets dragged into Team Blue's adventures and shenanigans because she's there coach!

Ok so I know I don’t talk about this often, but I’m actually a very big fan of the splat1 trio (Callie, Marie and young 3). I’m planning on writing a fic set in that time period for awhile now, just can’t finally sit down and write. It’s just something about their dynamic that’s really comforting for me. I also very much love it when I read splatoon fics and there’s capn cuttlefish and 3 interactions, they’re just so adoptive family core to me, and it’s even more like that bc 3 hasn’t felt like a part of his biological family for the last time he’s spent with them.

I never get around to making proper references of all my little guys, but there’s something I really want to not forget and include in 4’s info is that he can’t pronounce the letter r correctly. It’s tough to explain in english, since it’s not that big of a deal, but this hc mainly comes from a speech defect in russian (maybe not only russian), where it’s very clear someone can’t say the hard r. It’s something I really want to not forget when I’m writing something about human 3x4 in russian, it’s a pretty cute interaction.

8 and 3 were supposed to be rivals, and I have some very old fic drafts where they compete in tournaments against each other. But that idea kinda faded away after I assigned 3 a softer friendlier personality, so now it’ll be more out of character for 3 to start a rivalry with 8. One thing about a story of my 8’s design is that right from the start I made him a splatling main and never thought twice. Kind of like how I knew I wanted 3 to main rollers, but then also adding a charger class weapon like a mix or Callie and Marie something like that. 8’s design changed the least out of the agents and tbh, I think I hit the right spot when first designing him. 3 went so far through the most changes, mainly bc the first ones were kind of lame and uninteresting, but now I have at least a sense of where I should be going with all my guys.

Neo was a completely different character before I assigned the agent role to him. His weird fascination with cap3 came sort of out of nowhere, I just thought of it one day, and now it’s still canon in my insane splatoon au. I have a theory of some old very fucked up fanfiction about them that may have possibly I got the idea of this one sided loving attractive relationship. I probably have some hc’s that are purely based from these old times of reading absolutely strangest and most insane fics on ficbook.net… if I’m not wrong, my idea of 4’s personality came not from the splat fandom, not the media I’m basing my agents off of, but from the brief appearances of that character in fanfiction. It’s around the same time when I started shipping human version of 3 and 4 together because there was just some weird factor and made me so absolutely fucking convinced they had this “friends to lovers” chemistry. There was a fic about a different ship, but all I could do was just focus on the interactions between these two… I wrote quite a lot about them! They’re still my number 1 otp and it’s not even close. I don’t like the splatoon versions of them as much as humans, but I still think they work really well as 3 and 4.

Post side order AU I came up with

so after I made that post ages ago about Marina being one step away from making a full-blown homunculus, I started wondering... What if she actually did?

And then I remembered an old coroika headcanon/theory I had and yeah it just started developing on its own. And I'm gonna tell you the story now because I do NOT have the time to write a full fic (I do, my hyperfixations are taking that time away). I don't know if this counts as a human au or whatever the Splatoon equivalent of that is (Inkling au?) but its a Thing.

Here we go!

After Side Order happens, Marina gets her Dramatic Days in Orderland working again (albeit with some changes) and starts wondering if, considering Smollusk's sentience, she could create an inkling or Octoling vessel for a sentient AI. Basically, creating a semi-mechanical homunculus. She creates a prototype body, tests it with some code, and then uses the data from its inspiration- Parallel Canon- to see if it works, with some tweaking to give it a consciousness.

It does work, and you end up with the semi-mechanical, semi-alive entity Marina nicknames Harmony. Unfortunately, Marina's underestimated how good at coding she was, and how much of Agent 4 and Agent 8's data Parallel Canon has. Harmony is, despite looking like a teenaged Inkling, effectively a little kid.

Marina calls up Four and Eight- otherwise known as Surume and Patricia (I'm using the promo kids for this cause I like sticking to canon. Cuttlefrsh and Steven also exist they're just irrelevant.)- to help her with Harmony. The kid pretty much latches onto them and doesn't let go, recognising the two of them as its data origins and promptly considering the two of them its moms. Thank Cod they live together. It's a little bit of a squeeze, but Surume and Patricia agree to take her in, since Marina's not confident in her own ability to raise a child amidst the idol biz.

Of course, the whole gang helps with the accidentally acquired child. Perhaps due to absorbing some data from Splashley, Harmony turns out genderfluid, and imitates the hairstyles of Kensaki, Yari and Cuttlefrsh when it feels more masculine. The group takes to renaming it Canon, although sometimes it asks people to call it Harmony when it feels like it. (I should note that Canon changes between he/she/they, I just got into the "it" and kinda can't stop here cause it'll get confusing).

Meanwhile, what's Marina doing? Phase two of the Primordial Inkling Experiment. This time, she's creating a vessel for Smollusk- and testing her limits to see if she can gain one that can switch between Inkling and Octoling form.

The result is a successful Hivemind (yes Coroika Hivemind) whose real name is Order. (Hivemind is just a turf nickname.) Not only capable of switching between Inkling and Octoling forms, he's also capable of accessing and getting himself into the digital side of pretty much any device. Lucky he doesn't use it for chaos, and he tends to keep his connection from Off the Hook a secret. Eventually, he strikes out on his own to become the Hivemind that shows up in the manga, before taking a while after the Splatfest to return to digital form. Yeah, this timeline is now a time loop. Only way I can reasonably connect the games and the manga.

Does Canon join the NSS? Perhaps. Someday, when they're mature enough to make it out on their own.

I've decided that's he's gonna be Agent 3 because like, why the fuck not?? Also, JA is gonna be Agent 8 so ^_^

So like, he lives a quiet life and enjoys the company of his intimates, RHL, his wife, Martha (yes, they're all gonna be legally adults), and a few others, depending on what I do with this au in future. He also plays the violin really well, to the point some believe that he should make music for a career, but he really doesn't want to. Too much attention and not such a quiet life

As an agent, he works hard, stays focused, and gets the job done!!!! He was really surprised when he saw JA in the deepsea metro, and even more surprised to see Abigail there. He has the scar from tartars hypnosis (I think that's what it's called? I'm not sure, sorry 😓😓)

Next we have John Dickinson as Agent 4!!!!

Again, he was chosen for why the fuck not. Also, because I'm a strong believer that Parallel Canon is Agent 4, and one thing that happens in 1776 is that Adams and Dickinson fight.

He tends to just do his thing, ig (I'll have to ask @pingskumonium for help with Dickinson 😓) I just know that's he's friends with George Read, that he doesn't write straight, and that he disagreed with JA 🙏🙏

I think he'd either main the Splattershot or be a tenta missiles spammer with the Reef Lux 450

Next is JA as 8, as mentioned twice before ^_^

I chose him to be 8 because, well, their whole thing is like escaping the deepsea metro, saving the octolings, and defeating evils (eg, tartar, order). I've also took some creative liberties (with help from coroika) to put Abigail with him because he deserves his wife 🫶

So like, they got married and lived happily together in Octo Valley until she just. Disappeared. That's around when he encountered TJ (3) and Capn Cuttlefish, all three of which were attacked, and he woke up in the deepsea metro separated from 3, and everything I'm the Octo Expansion. Now, here's where more of my ideas come in. In 'Fake Plastic Station', Adams doesn't actually splat Abigail, who is the last sanitised octoling there, and instead spares her because he recognises her just ever so slightly. Also because she dropped her glasses and broke them after the ink jet (she has never used one until then), which the mechanism took as her being splatted. Therefore, the two return to the station together, as she no longer has the glasses (I'm like, 90% sure they have hypnosis powers. Even if they don't, this is my au so :333)

And the rest of Octo Expansion goes the way it does

Abigail is only sanitised because I wanted an excuse to put her in Side Order

JA would main Enperry Splat Dualies and Abigail would main the Octoshot. Change my mind 😋

We have Izuku himself of course, there is Jirou on the musical side and probably Ashido on the performing/dancing side, if the styles are compatible we could easily get Komori in there as well, and while I am not sure if thats Canon or Fanon, I remember Kaminari being into music as well (doesn't he play Guitar?) not to mention that he clearly also tries his best to be cool/fresh, so he would probably already have the right mindset. Also, I could see him bonding with Izuku about how water is both their big weakness which is equal parts cute and hilarious.

Of course they also could form smaller groups or do solo acts, but I like the idea of this big Hero Agency/Idol Group that travels around and solves problems in the most stylish way possible!

(Yes I would very much like Splatoon 4 to have a Coop Campaign with all previous Agents/Idols working together, why do you ask?)

i said this before but the Order you see in the dlc is in my AU as a type of malware that marina created for herself. she encrypts it into the personal software she uses as an attempt to. self destruct (off) herself. but (Un)fortunately it didn't work. she's just stuck forever wallowing in her own grief

the memverse in my AU is where marina puts everyone she has under her mind control thingy. they're all hooked into the same memverse, marina has her own that she messes with to see the possible consequences of every action she does and. stuff.

and i also said this on my alt twt acc but in the Normal Side Order(...??) my agent 4 turns into parallel canon either voluntarily or unvoluntarily. and since there's others with him i decided to make them robotic clones of 8 and cap3. and they only serve to mock agent 8 and what little they remember of their lovers and themself, a materialized deteriorating memory

tbh i was more focused on the theme of side order instead of dedf1sh stuck in the elevator with two lesbians that would do the unthinkable if they weren't there

probably the hardest part of finding a new interesting blog is trying to figure out wtf is going on with everything lmao

I acknowledge that mine in particular is very very hard to understand.

Let me try to explain. It’s mostly just Splatoon ships.

I mostly post about Acht x Agent 4. The headcanons for them are a little all over the place. Long story short Four was greyscaled, becoming Parallel Canon, and Acht is with them while they regain their memories. They then fall in love. If you’re interested in the long version, I’m currently posting chapters to my Dedfour fanfic every Saturday! They also have a son named Gibbous (he does not show up in the fanfic).

There’s also Acht x Agent 4 x Harmony, which is also all over the place. There’s no fic for that one, there may be in the future but I don’t have any plans for it right now. There are also various aus in which these characters are sanitized, greyscaled, or fuzzy.

The ones that are harder to understand are the oc x canon ones. First things first is that pretty much all of the ocs that I talk about are members of Four’s family, either aunts or cousins. (All of them involved in ships are aunts because the cousins are too young.)

First up is Shina x Marie. Shina is one of Four’s aunts who I think we established is also an assassin. That part doesn’t come up much though. The two have a daughter named Cassie, who has pretty much the same personality as Callie. She’s friends with Gibbous and her and Callie get into trouble together often.

Then there’s Shiver x Birch. For this one there’s a bit more lore. Shiver and Frye had been in a petty rivalry with Four and Acht, making it seem as though this was fueled by feeling threatened by Acht’s budding music career, fearing it would steal their spotlight. Eventually, it is revealed that Shiver is actually doing it out of jealousy, because she is in love with Four and is upset that they love Acht instead. When she can finally accept that Four doesn’t love her back, she starts to fall in love with Birch. Shiver becomes like a mom to Birch’s child, Kai, and often lets them ride on her shark, Master Mega.

Lastly we have Frye x Elle. This one is au specific. This applies to the musician au, in which Four was never in the Memverse, instead Parallel Canon is a clone of them. Four is a musician, who has a habit of making songs about how lonely they are and how much they want to fall in love with someone. When Acht comes around, the two hit it off immediately. Later on, Four learns that Parallel Canon exists and is their clone. The two grow close, becoming like siblings. Parallel Canon desperately wants to exist as an inkling in the physical world outside of the Memverse (we’ve got a bit of a trans allegory going there, it’s super confusing, I’ll explain it if you want but it’s a lot to type out and this post is already long). So Four and Marina make them a robot body. They can’t go by Parallel Canon anymore to they change their name to Elle. They eventually meet Frye and the two fall in love.

I think that’s mostly what you’ll need to know to understand what’s going on? There are also a ton of aus that I didn’t cover, but this is what comes up most often.

ok so this is based on friendship is magic bc that's the only one I've seen and it's like... if the mane six were in splatoon? specifically splatoon 3 bc that's the one I had on my mind lol anyways. freshness is magic

Twilight is an octarian soldier (like, the only one left for some reason) sent by Octavio to investigate the Splatlands about the disappearances of the other Octarians while he says he "won't be too far behind" (foreshadowing)

on the way there she meets spike. he's the "little buddy" smallfry of this. no he will not tell her what spike is short for or why he was in the middle of the desert when he met her

Oh yeah and only twilight can understand him bc she speaks salmonid. he just sounds like gurgles to the rest of the gang

twilight gets a transmission from Octavio basically telling her to go to Splatsville specifically, "blend in, make friends, keep a low profile, whatever"

just outside of splatsville they run into fluttershy (her name is probably different but I can't think of a good one so she's just fluttershy for now). she's a sea slug (kinda like flow) bc look at this image.

it's literally just her. come on

she's heading into town too and it basically goes like the show where she's like "omg is that a salmonid... wowie......."

MEANWHILE in Splatsville:

Pinkie (inkling), Dash (octoling who grew up in the Splatlands), and Jack (inkling) are all friends but they're in a bit of a pickle. they wanna do turf wars but they need a 4th person and the random people they keep getting matched with just don't vibe very well :(

enter twilight. (and fluttershy) (and spike)

Pinkie goes "GAAAAASP HEY HEY WANNA JOIN OUR TURF WAR TEAM"

at first twilight's like "Ugh no" but then spike is like "heyyyyy part of your missionnnn was making friiiiiends rememeberrrrr?"

so she joins the team. fine sure whatever I'm not gonna get attached (she gets attached)

Twilight is a charger main. e-liter menace

Dash is a dualies main because of course

Pinkie is good with all weapons tbh but her favorites are rollers and blasters

Jack mains N-Zap 64 and she is a tacticooler mvp

At one point they're like "Hey twi love the military drip but like you gotta get some drip"

enter rarity. i don't really have a clear mental image of her yet but she is crab. probably hermit crab? tamatoa ass back I know that for sure

she moved to the splatlands from Inkopolis and started a boutique there

she's a brush main btw "hey Earnest you dipshit only inklings and octolings do turf war" nuh uh big man canonically plays turf war AND salmon run so there

(fluttershy doesn't like doing turf war and doesn't have a main for obvious reasons) (but she does cheer them on) (spike does too bc he's not allowed in the Turf War building :( )

anyways. twilight and the gang are now besties. enter cuttlefish.

Dash: hey is it just me or is that old guy staring at us from the sewers

Pinkie: I'm gonna go follow him lol

this action has consequences.

they're all agent 3 now (3.1-3.7) but cuttlefish only has one set of hero gear. "sorry guys you're all shit out of luck" (of course twilight gets it bc protag disorder) and rarity's all "well Fine I can make hero gear for the rest of us"

crater proceeds as normal with twilight, pinkie, dash, and jack each taking one level. twilight is... *unnerved* by the current status of the octarian troops

enter octavio. hes fucking pissed. this is his natural state of being tho

he calls out twilight for being a TRAITOR and she feels bad blah blah blah they kick his ass

again it proceeds as normal but when twilight wakes up. she's alone (except for spike). as it turns out all of her besties landed on different islands somehow bc this might as well happen

Twilight is island 1, jack is island 2, pinkie is island 3, fluttershy is island 4, dash is island 5, and rarity is island 6 working on everyone's agent outfits all along so they got their group swag by the end of it

again story is pretty much the same from there. kill that bear

and so the world is saved with the power of friendship :)

unfortunately celestia and luna don't really exist by virtue of octavio kind of taking celestia's role? rip queens we loved you so much but you were replaced by old men unfortunately. sad

With Side Order basically 3 days away at this point (the dlc's releasing on the 21st at 7 PM CST), there's just one more thing I wanna talk about when it comes to speculation (well not really speculation it's more so just me hoping this will happen):

PLEASE LET THE PROFESSOR WHO OWNED JUDD AND MADE TARTAR HAVE SOME SORT OF SIGNIFICANCE TO THE STORY. LIKE A MAJOR ROLE.

Like I have this one idea sort of similar to @lbodraws' Villain Agent 4 AU (with their interpretation of the villain of Side Order, G.H.O.S.T., an AI made to store human consiousness that basically decided to do its own thing after not being given the order to awaken the humans whose consiouses they were storing) where basically the professor had a plan B for himself since he didn't make himself immortal like Judd, the plan being that if he died in cryogenic preservation he'd have his mind transfered into a computer program in order to live on in some way. However, something goes wrong and the professor's digital world is overidden by whoever created the Order Sector. The professor gets his files compressed or whatever and they get put into a special area on the top of the tower so he's under close surveilance, however he keeps on trying to fight back in a few ways, with the main one being creating the voids in the spire.

To be honest, I'd love to see both a villain Marina and Lil' Judd in the DLC alongside the professor as well, so this is how I kind of see the final boss being like if all three of these guys had a role to play in the DLC:

Phase 1: Marina (the misguided antagonist): Marina is under the influence of another being (weither it be by brainwashing or by other means) and it's Agent 8's job to snap Marina out of it. Marina would use all sorts of modified specials and inventions against Eight during the fight (also basically this fight would sort of be like a parody of the Splatoon 2 final boss since RotM also had that with DJ Octavio at the begining). After finishing this phase of the fight, Marina regains control of herself, we get some dialoge, and then we get the reveal of the true villain of Side Order...

Phase 2 & 3: Lil' Judd (the real big bad): Lil' Judd goes on a monolouge about why he did what he did and how (basically he ended up getting Marina to unknowingly unleash the Order Sector onto the world to help Lil' Judd achive his ultimate objective: to be the only Judd left standing or something like that) and then the next 2 phases of the fight happen I guess. After beating up Lil' Judd, the professor decompresses his own files now that Lil' Judd isn't able to control the Order Sector, at least for now, and decides to raise hell onto everyone in the room, leading us to the next phase of the fight...

Phase 4: the professor (one of many victims of Lil' Judd): Blinded by rage, the professor gets this corrupted form of sorts where he's all glitchy and stuff. The professor, beliving that the Side Order crew is working with Lil' Judd, attempts to attack our protagonists, only for Eight to defend everyone. The professor will use various tricks to distract the player so he can kill them and will spare the player no mercy during the fight. It isn't until the layer finally shoots at the professor enough that he comes to his senses and realizes what's going on and stops fighting. We get some dialoge at the end of the fight or something and then the Order Sector appears to be falling appart due to the professor messing around with the code too much during the fight, so he urges the Side Order crew to get out of the spire before they're trapped in an infinate void forever. The professor opens a portal to the real Inkopolis Square outside of the spire and then I guess the final phase of the final boss happens where you need to take the emergency exit out of the spire to get to the portal in a set amount of time. The professor stays behind to keep the Order Sector up and running so he doesn't die or whatever.

And that's all I really got for what could happen if the professor was involved in Side Order. If you couldn't tell already, this is a super rough idea of what could happen if this was the case because this is just me hoping this happens. Anyways, I kinda doubt that the professor will actually even be mentioned in Side Order ('cause that guy just has to be one of the most minor characters in Splatoon) (but then again dedf1sh made it into the DLC and has a huge role in it so maybe it can happen with this guy too), but hey I guess we'll just have to find out in three days, am I right?

So before I even make my QnA posts, I should probably explain my Splatoon au's lol

First up, is the A.S.S.E.T. AU

A.S.S.E.T stands for

Allured

Sanitized

Squid

Extermination

Team

all of Inkopolis was sanitized due to eight failing to cover the statue and pearl's voice not being strong enough

Everyone (Except Marie, Callie, and agent 4 since they were in octo valley, along with anyone who was in a building) has been sanitized, and made into soldier for Tartar, Since pearl was right Infront of the blast, she too, is sanitized. Although not under any control.(yet) it's more like a sickness to her-

So with them being sanitized, Marina is trying to find a cure for (mostly pearl) everyone in Inkopolis, Cuttlefish and 3 helping her

Tartar is sending out his soldiers to find anyone who hasn't been sanitized, he's also in heavy search for the escaped main 4, since they have proven to be useful for him.

The cure is not Calamari Inkantation because while it does help, it won't remove the sanitization and the control Tartar has on the sanitized.

This whole au is Marina trying her hardest to safe those she loves.

Ika is someone who wanted to be an idol but was unsuccessful

This is her way of trying to get what she wants.

She mostly thinks of herself, will do anything to get the fame she desires, including selling her body or making herself look 'perfect'

She believes the world is her stage and sees everyone as her fans.

She always happy to please a fan as well.

Willing to let them have anything just for an ounce of attention.

In short words, whore BAHABAHBAHA
