　　➲　how to make a gif tut !　✼

♡　hii this is a tutorial on how to make two types of flash gifs! the first gif will be a flash gif with a png overlay and video effects. the second flash gif is a sort of stop-motion-like gif made from multiple images.

this was for an ask in my inbox, but i accidently deleted it cuz tumblr was being weird.. anyways hope this helps anyone who's curious!

　　⤷　flash gif w/ png overlay + video effects

　⋯　to make this type of gif i use capcut and a website called ezgif.com.

first, start a new project on capcut and select all the pictures you want to use in the gif (except the png) and click add.

　⋯　once the pics are loaded in, adjust the duration of the photos to your liking (i do 0.6 but you can adjust to your preference). changing the duration of the pictures will determine how fast the pictures in the gif will pop up and how long the gif is.

i screenrecorded my process in capcut since it's kinda hard to explain with screenshots so feel free to replay certain parts you were stuck on!

　⋯　after changing the duration of pics, overlay the png and then apply an animation to the png overlay (not required!). i like to apply a fade in and fade out animation on the png so it can appear and disappear in the gif smoother. then add video effects and adjust the settings to your preference. i mostly use video effect called iridescent for sparkles (you can use whichever effects u prefer tho!)

once you're satisfied with how it looks, export the gif to save it on your device. then go to ezgif.com and the tab that says video to gif.

　⋯　upload the video you just saved from capcut onto ezgif then scroll down and convert to gif. you should then get your outputted gif and save to your device!

　⋯　one of the cons i don't like about ezgif tho is that it greys out the colors of video to gifs.. if you know how to recolorize gifs or a different gif convertor website you can use that instead (pls tell me).

　　⤷　regular stop-motion flash gif

⋯　for this gif you only need to use ezgif.com. this is mainly for gifs where the images are moving without transitions and no effects. (png overlays are made beforehand and saved in different photos) luckily the colors don't change for this type of gif!

first you want to go to the gif maker tab then click switch to manually ordered upload. after that, upload all the images you want in your gif.

　⋯　then change the delay time for all images to adjust how fast the gif will play. the larger the number, the slower the gif. i personally like to make the delay time 35 but it's not necessary for you to change the auto delay time of 20.

　⋯　after changing the delay time, click make a gif! your outputted gif should load below and then save to device.

hopefully this was easy to understand 😓 comment or feel free to dm any questions if you're confused or need help! this is just a base tut for making gifs in mbs, you can change anything to your own preferences !

now that gladion, silver, grimsley, and lucian are all revealed, here’s more abt them in this au!

I’ve worked out the story more since last post- silver plays vee’s role (and Gladion masha’s)

like I mentioned in the last post, silver is still Giovanni’s son and Giovanni is ghetsis (belos)’s right hand man. also swapping marshal out as construction head to giovanni. sorry to the marshal fans. Giovanni is now playing the role of the plant lady who idk the name of (terra?? Is that it??)

silver is hiding at the school from Giovanni- until he’s found out and has to make a quick escape. he grabs a concealment stone and stumbles into some kind of portal. he disguises himself as Sarah and lives w her family.

this all takes place in the background tho- like he disappears and no one really notices.

gladion is basically the same as on this blog. As Sarah’s cousin, the closest to her out of all of them, he instantly notices that she’s acting odd. eventually he finds out abt silver/witches and promises to keep it all a secret.

lusamine is def more evil than in my canon. she eavesdrops on one of silver and Gladion’s conversations and decides to help Ghetsis via the portal silver used.

ghetsis turns on her late season 3 and kidnaps mohn, which makes her turn back to the good side.

grimsley suffers from an eda-ish werewolf curse. he turns into a liepard okay. Instead of being kinda random, like eda’s, I think his triggers every night. potions keep it at bay, you know the deal.

he gets potions from a “mysterious benefactor” who he doesn’t know the name of. he just takes them just bc why not? They’re free!

sarah meets Lucian when Grimsley runs out of potion and she has to lock him in a room. she checks the box the latest shipment came in, and there’s a note on the bottom of it. (There’s always been a note at the bottom- he just never checked it). It says that in case he runs out, come to this specific location and is signed “L”

Sarah goes there (it’s a stall at the night market) and it’s Lucian!

their conversations a little jumbled, but it’s smth like

“Aren’t you the oracle coven leader?!” ”Yes.�� “Well, why are you helping Grimsley anonymously then?!? He’s a criminal!” “Well, he is technically my husband-” “WHAT?!” “-and I know that he’s suffering, so I want to help him.”

He gives her more potion, but she insists (and I mean insists) that he comes back w her, which he does.

Grimsley is all better after the potion and they explain to her their situation.

They were married happily when Lucian became the oracle coven head. Soon, grimsley became a known criminal for getting caught practicing wild magic, and some other things (*cough* gambling *cough*). It got so bad that they divorced- in name only- and haven’t seen each other to keep them both safe.

lucian also explains that his stall is in the night market bc he’s been illegally brewing potions (mixing magic)

okay uhh. so the thing is, it usually works better for me when im using ink instead of graphite, BUT heres a mini guide??? ig??? i sorta just eyeball everything but mb it helps?? also side note, i do all my editing inside the built in pic editing app on the phone

i take the pic in daylight. lamps are fine but then theres a high chance of a pesky ass phone shadow. also yellow light/camera flash makes everything look, well, yellow, while the daylight doesnt. i never EVER use phone flash. even editing cant save that

(if taken in artificial light, i recently learned that if i zoom in to 2x and hold my phone a little higher, chances are that there will be no shadows cast on the page and everything will be in focus and wont have outta focus edges, but that can be an android cam quirk idk)

if its black and white, i just keep messing around with the built in editing features until i get the most extreme contrast i can get while the paper remains as white as it can be, but watch out !!! if the lines are thin or light, they can get eaten by the editing and make details disappear

usually i just instantly crank up the image contrast to like the +80% range, then i fuck with the brightness, highlights and shadows as fit. the sharpness tool is a friend!! i love using it to make things a bit clearer, but be careful!!! it can also eat details!!! i dont mess around w the exposure options tho, they make everything look weird.

if its coloured, i basically do the same things in the previous paragraph, but try to dial it down a little so the colours dont get fucked. also, saturation tool my beloved !!!

idk if this is coherent or helpful cuz i just do it on autopilot so idk if it makes sense lmao. also as i said, results may wary cuz of how different graphite is from ink so you might as well take this w a grain of salt

So, regarding HYX/Immorality finale spoilers.

I have to say I personally like this ending. Is it because I disliked the novel's ending? Not at all. Quite the opposite in fact. I believe MB's ending was perfect and, overall, quite satisfying. Chu Fei and TXJ DESERVED to have their happy ending, and killing TXJ off would be 1. incredible unfair 2. An incredibly hypocritical thing to do because 2ha IS a story of redemption, but it's also about acknowledging the darkest parts of yourself, embracing them and forgiving yourself. It's about how, regardless of what's inside you, the choices you make/your actions determine who you are.

So, while I understand some people have a hard time forgiving TXJ after everything he did, I also think it's absurd to whish he'd simply disappear. As if he's not part of Mo Ran. As if Mo Ran 2.0 had not been him before. As if there weren't traces of TXJ in Mo Ran even before the flower. The massacre MR perpetrated when he was a child is a direct reflection of the future TXJ, and Meatbun makes a lot of emphasis on the fact that they are both one and the same. FFS the light and darkness that exist inside MR is even reflected in his name. (Look it up)

I believe those who didn't like the ending completely failed to understand it, what 2ha is about and, basically Mo Ran's very character. Because MR IS TXJ just as TXJ IS MR. That's the whole point. MR is not all peace and love and fluff. He CHOOSES to be like that, but he's not 100% good. And, before you @me, he says so himself.

In MR's words "they're different stages of the same person". And, *YELLS* didn't Hua Cheng say so too? "What matters is you, and not the state of you".

I'm not even going to talk about how all the TXJ hate reflects the treatment that society thinks mentally ill people deserve. How people are only worthy of love and respect when their trauma makes them easy and kind and they adopt the "I don't want people to go through what I went through, and that's why I do the most I can to help" stand, and they only receive hate when their trauma makes them lash out, violent, when it's hard to be around them because their trauma response is not socially acceptable. AS IF MR 2.0 WASN'T TXJ AFTER THERAPY AND LIVING IN A NON TOXIC ENVIRONMENT. My dudes, mentally ill people deserve a chance to heal and be happy too. The difference bt those "2" characters is that TXJ hasn't had that chance yet.

So, I do think the LA's ending is going to work better than the original. Why? Because of what I just said. A lot of controversy arises when the original ending is discussed, because so many people nowadays refuse to dive into stories, to analyze and understand them. They basically refuse to make an effort, to think, and expect to be spoon-fed instead.

This is why people jump to cancel things before they even begin to understand them. Critical thinking simply does not exist today.

I personally like the ending bc I like tragic endings too, even tho this is not exactly tragic bc they still get to have their happy ending but, ya know. However, they seem to have changed it to play it safe and avoid some of the backlash that would sure come with keeping it faithful to the novel. You may like it, you may dislike it, but there's no denying that this is the safest bet.
