Memorable things from my first botw play through
Ran out of stamina mid flight over a ravine, got struck by lightning on my fall and then drowned in the river at the bottom
Tried to go talk to a wizzrobe on my second or third day because my mind just screamed with need to meet a fairy and I didn't know that it would rain down hellfire upon me
Tried to climb a steep cliff I didn't have the stamina for and then did the same thing again five times because I refuse to learn my lesson
Hoarded fairies like gold
Noped the fuck out of the waterblight ganon fight the second I saw him and then proceeded to avoid it for another week and a half
Tried to take a picture of the electric dragon and got murdered by it before I could
Spent the entire night bombing the shit out of a bokoblin skull cave because I didn't want to fight them all head-on...10 different times
Named the giant horse babie
Cheated the system to get through Yiga hideout without dying since I took on that mission far too early in the game and then proceeded to have way too much confidence in my abilities from there on because I beat the boss fight easily
Almost had a panic attack when trying to get through the sandstorm at the far end of the Gerudo Desert
Forgot I could use divine beast powers I'd already gotten when fighting the blights and made my life so much harder than needed
Dropped everything the moment I heard I could buy a house and then help build a town.
Almost cried at Hudson's wedding
Accidentally-ed across the Yiga hideout when I was just exploring the mountains and was tired enough that I just went fuck it and went in there
Deliberately pissed off everything at the base of Ridgeland tower just to stand there and let them bombard me with lightning attacks to test how well the shockproof rubber armour worked
Spent an hour doing the arrow glitch on eventide island with the 5 arrow chest before realising there was one where you got 10 instead and wanted to die
Spent like a week in game days chilling at Lurelin Village when I found it because yeah Hyrule might be in peril but Link deserved a vacation
Noped the fuck out of every test of strength shrine I found for the first week or two I had the game
Ran back out in a thunderstorm in the middle of the night because I accidentally abandoned my horse by teleporting away
Used pretty much all my photos for selfies and dogs
Took the longest, most ridiculous route possible my first time off the great plateau to avoid fighting anything and accidentally ended up where I was meant to go anyway
Spent my first several days playing with only like two sections of the map unlocked because I either couldn't find the towers or was too scared to climb them
Avoided climbing central tower for a good two weeks because I was scared of the guardians
Tried to pull out the master sword with only 5 hearts because I didnt know what was required and you never know, right?
Wandered off and got lost for a good 10 minutes the second I got out of the shrine of resurrection because I am incapable of ever doing what a game clearly wants me to
Put my joycons down while I waited out the night on a really high pillar, leaned over to get a drink and managed to hit the move joystick and make link fall to his death
Stole my first horse accidentally from a bokoblin that was trying to kill me near Kakariko village and then accidentally abandoned him in Hateno village and forgot to go back for him
Took about a week of playing before I figured out how to actually light a fire
Almost walked into the Ganon fight and then walked right back out again
Walked around on a decayed but living guardian for like 5 minutes trying to get it to notice me so I could kill it for parts but couldn't actually make it wake up
Almost got murdered because I got to cocky while taking selfies with the Guardians outside the castle
Spent more nights than I can count chilling in trees because I was afraid if the skeleton men and stuck out in the wilderness
Spent like 2 in game weeks wandering around Hyrule Castle for no reason

i like to think Brute and Beats singing together, cause Brute actually like to sing QwQ
staring intensifies
Kin @bun-bunmuse
Beats @phaunicier
Dezor and Brute belongs to me
keep reading if you want to know the music and read my horrible fic on how these drawings came to be X3
"I-i want to go with you Kin" "I do too, but the only thing we forgot to buy was oil. Look, Beats, stay here, it would be faster if i go, besides, that store is crowded as hell, wouldnt want you to get lost."
The little skeleton nodded as the tall one parted with him, "i'll be back soon, i promise" The tall one reassured, he watches him gone into the store until he disappeared from sight. The little one then quickly looked around, avoiding as much eye contact as possible then saw a two sided bench with a wall in the middle, it was empty and only the left side already had a person. He ran to the bench as quickly as a squirrel, almost tripping in the process, then seated on the right side. He then let out a breath, he held the groceries close to him. He eyed the store, waiting for Kin's return. It was Kin and Beats’s turn to buy the supplies for the team, they gone to ENDER!Tale cause there has the most supplies, unfortunately, theres alot of people. It took them more than an hour to get them, Beats the whole time stayed by Kin, nearly fainted when he saw a butcher holding a knife in front of him and cried when he lost Kin in the crowd. Beats looked at the scenery around him, his eyes landed on a street performer playing "You are the reason" on the guitar. He listens to the tune, humming quietly to the music.
“...There goes my heart beating..”
The little skeleton stopped humming.
“..'Cause you are the reason..”
The voice came from behind him, it was calm, the person's soul sounded in peace
“I'm losing my sleep Please come back now”
He had no idea how, but he start to find himself singing along, but his voice was at first hesitant and quiet.
“There goes my mind racing And you are the reason That I'm still breathing I'm hopeless now”
The person started to sing more confidently, and so did Beats.
“I'd climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I've broken Oh, 'cause I need you to see That you are the reason...”
They both sung in harmony, the world fade around him, only the sound of music is heard.
“There goes my hand shaking And you are the reason My heart keeps bleeding I need you now If I could turn back the clock I'd make sure the light defeated the dark I'd spend every hour, of every day Keeping you safe And I'd climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I've broken Oh, 'cause I need you to see That you are the reason, oh I don't wanna fight no more I don't wanna hurt no more I don't wanna cry no more Come back, I need you to hold me closer now You are the reason, oh Just a little closer now Come a little closer now I need you to hold me tonight I'd climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I've broken 'Cause I need you to see That you are the reason..”
Beats opened his eyes, and smiled. "Nice voice" "You too" Beats froze, he then became flustered and embarrass for a moment, he fidget with his fingers for a moment. "Well, cya later, say hi to floof king for me". Beats start to slowly look behind him "Wait, you know..." the left side of the bench was empty, "...Abyss..". "Beats!" the little skeleton looked up "Kin!" they reunited with a hug, Kin pulled apart showing a bag "I got what we needed, i hope you didnt wait too long". Beats looked back at the left side of the bench, where the stranger that sung with him sat "Actually..” he smiled once more “..i had fun".

Just wanted to put my thoughts here since there's no bettee place to put them. I finally beat Legend Of Zelda Majora's Mask today. It was a game I started years ago probably in early middle school. I had just beaten Ocarina Of Time and absolutely loved it. I remember putting in the cartridge in my dusty N64 and immediately smiling as that main menu music started. I remember being in absolute awe at the fact that Link would now do flips through the air as he jumped, and being amazed at becoming a deku scrub. I played for hours on end and loved every moment of it. But then i reached The Great Bay. And I was heartbroken as i tried for weeks on end to try and figure out where the eggs were. (I never knew about the entire fortress section) So I gave up. And played the game on and off for a few years. Until I just took a hiatus from it. But a few weeks ago I returned. The memories came rushing back to me and I was just so happy to hear that main menu music. I started up a new save file and told myself, "I will get through this." As I walked into Clock Town and saw it burst with life. couldn't help but smile as I heard its iconic theme.
I went through the parts of the game i previously completed relatively quick, getting myself the bunny hood as soon as possible (Wasn't gonna pass on the chance to go fast as frick) I went through the swamp, the mountains, upgraded my sword, collected masks and pretty much any other thing i could do to procrastinate on getting to The Great Bay. But eventually, I decided i couldn't wait any longer and hopped the fence with Epona. I turned into a Zora and immediately started swimming around just for the fun of it. And by complete accident, I found the fortress that escaped me all those years ago almost instantly. At that moment I knew with no doubt that i could finish this.
I finiahed The Great Bay and moved onto the Ikana Valley. And I was just so happy. It was an entirely new world i didnt even know existed in Majora's Mask, and it was mine to experience. I loved the dark yet silly vibes the skeleton army gave off, and was excited to see the Song Of Storms make a return. And then I climbed the cliff side and saw a house surrounded by bandage covered redeads on one side and a big door on the other. I walked past bpth of them into a cool looking cave in the back. (No way i want to go near any redeads after Ocarina Of Time) After leaving the cave i had brought flowing water back to this place, and made the music box that was the top of the house start working. And u just laughed a little to myself as i made the comparison to Super Mario 64's ghost house music, because they sounded so similar, but unlike its Mario counterpart, this one kept the ghosts away. I saw a scared little girl outside the house, and after a few attempts I was able to make it inside. I explored the house and saw what looked like a monster in a closet in the basement. But upon closer inspection, I realize, this isn't a monster. Its a man in pain. I play him a song to heal him and he's cured. His scared girl who was outside runs in and goes into her now cured Father's arm. And they're both there for each other. They were both put through so much pain, but they didnt care about in this moment. They were together now and that's what mattered to them. And watching that, i couldnt help but cry just a little.
I continued what may have been the hardest section in the game, but had a fun time doing it. There was even a cool giant monster fight where Link got to turn huge, and just like that, I was fully set to do the finale of the game. But i knew i couldnt do it yet. I had two more masks to get. It was time to do the famous Anju And Kafei quest.
I could speak for hours on this quest. (Kinda like how i spent hours figuring it out) But ill just basically say, it was a beautiful culmination of all the major townsfolk in Clock Town. It was great seeing more than the basic single side i saw in so many of them when i first started playing. I got the postman his happy ending of getting to leave town and got my second to last mask. Then I restarted the 3 day cycle and helped Kafei get his wedding mask back on the final day. I teleported back to town as the final countdown appeared at the bottom of my screen. As I waited for Kafei to get to his soon to be wife, i wandered around town. This was my first time actually comprehending what was happening to all these people. My heart dropped a little as I felt the dread for their world's end. They knew the moon was coming and there was nothing to do to stop it. I spotted Kafei and followed him to Anju. They had a heartfelt moment together and gave me the final mask. As this moment happened my sister was in the room. She asked why they dont try to escape the moon with the minute they have left. And it hits me like a punch to the gut. How much they love each other. That theyd rather spend their last minute alive just being together and accepting death, than to try to escape it. With this all in my head i played Song Of Time for the final time. I knew I had to prepare for the final battle.
I spent most of the last 3 day cycle filling my inventory and just messing around. As the clock struck midnight on the final day, I was already standing firmly in front of Clock Town's clock tower. I walk into battle and immediately summon the giants I freed throughout the game. They stop the moon and Majora's Mask falls from Skull Kid. All looks well and it looks like we can laugh it all off at first, but we see Majora's Mask rise with evil energy into the moon itself. Link decides to plunge head first into the moon to stop this evil. Inside the moon are children playing, who ask for the masks i collected throughout the game. I happily agree and am put through a series of mini dungeons. My reward for this is one last mask; the Fierce Diety Mask. I walk into the final boss with Majora and utterly destroy it with my new transformation. And like that the game is finished.
Skull Kid is shown to be who he always was; a lonely kid who missed his friends the giants. Anju and Kafei get their wedding. And Tatl gives Link a final farewell as he rides off on Epona.
I ussually dont do this kind of post, but I could go for hours on why i loved this game (I guess I sorta just did with how long I spent on this post.) The great combo of dark and light elements, the fun attitude of Tatl, the challenging and fun gameplay. Just how emotional the game could get without the beautiful cinematic cutscenes we have today is amazing. I beat it today. But the way it was beaten felt very special to me. Like a younger me passing the torch to the me of today. But anyways, i feel like ive rambled long enough and its getting late. Thanks to anyone who read this far, it means a lot.

A Journal by: Megue Pearl Gegone
December 15, 2019
Today marks the 19th year anniversary of our church. We’ve prepared for this big day a week ago and as a part of this church I am very nervous yet excited for today’s event.
Also, I am a member of the praise and worship team of our church and we are the one who’s going to lead the worship. Earlier as I was preparing to go to church I can almost hear my heart beating ‘lub dub’ ‘lub dub’.
I was already in the church and everyone was busy attending all the visitors and VIP’s that came from other places like in Isulan, Tupi, Maynila, and Columbio. The whole venue was packed. People can’t even move because there’s no space left. Honestly, we didn’t expect that a lot of people would come. So the worship started, the pastor delivered his message and voila its lunchtime. During lunch time I was so hungry that I could eat a horse considering the fact that I haven’t eaten breakfast earlier.
After our lunch, I and Fienna, my friend, decided to go to KCC to buy our gifts for tonight’s Christmas party. First we went to the grocery section. After spending half of an hour at the mall i started to feel cold. The mall is cold like antarctica. After we finished in the grocery we decided to deposit our baggage at the baggage counter. As we are standing in the line waiting for our turn, i suddenly felt the ground vibrated and i thought it was just nothing so i didnt mind it. Little did i know that it was already an earthquake. I saw people panicking and running towards the nearest exit. I didnt know what to do as if my mind and body wasnt coordinating. I was thinking of running but my body wouldnt move. Then i came back tO my senses when a woman bumped in me and i started running as fast as a cheetah towards the nearest exit. I and Fienna stayed outside for a little while and then we decided to go home.
In the evening we've got a simple program prepared for everyone. At 6 p.m. we ate our dinner and started the program. First we prepared some parlor games for the kids and we also had an exchange gifts both for kids and adult. Before the night ended, our adtor gave his thank you message for everyone and ee prayed for a safe travel as we go home.
December 16, 2019
Today I woke up early to get ready and to prepare to go to KNCHS SHS gate, our meeting place, for our community engagement trip today. Together with my group, we went to SitioSalkan, Brgy. Paraiso to conduct a survey in relation with our subject. When we were already complete after how many years of waiting for our other members to arrive we rode on a tricycle to reach our destination. First we went to the Brgy. Hall of Brgy.Paraiso and gave our letter that informs their office that we were asking for their permission to let us conduct a survey in one of their area. After givung the letter to the Brgy. Hall we headed to SitioSalkan.
It was a fun ride. In order for us to reach out to people living at the end of the mountain, we climbed up a mountain as high as Mount Everest. As we arrived at our destination I was very thirsty, I could drink gallons of water because of it. Later on we started our servey in there and we took a lunch break and ate our lunch. After eating our lunch we started conducting the survey again. When we finished our survey we decided to go home. Before going home we decided to eat first at the 7/11. I bought a cup noodles because i was craving for it. After eating, we took a minute to rest. Later on we decided to go home. When I arrived at home, my Lola cooked macaroni for our merienda. We spent the rest of our afternoon eating and chatting about stuffs and whatnot.
December 24, 2019
Today I woke up late because I slept around 4 a.m. and I am still feeling sleepy but my father woke me up because he said that we need to prepare the things that we needed to bring for tonight’s event. My family decided to celebrate Christmas Eve at the house of my Uncle Reylon, my father’s cousin. I have no choice but to obey him to avoid further arguments with him. My father is strict like Hitler. In the afternoon, around 3 p.m. we prepared the food that we will bring there and also our gifts for them.
By the way, my mother and my mother are the ones who cooked and prepared the food. We were about to leave the house when suddenly I felt an excruciating pain at my lower abdomen. It was very painful as if I am going to die just by bearing the pain of it. Then I went to the bathroom to check if my monthly period already came. I was right. My monthly period came.
It is the reason why I decided to just stay in the house. They allowed me and they just left me some food to eat. I spent my whole night just lying in the sofa and watching television to entertain myself. Around 11p.m. my parents and my siblings arrived at home. We were all tired and sleepy already so we decided to take a sleep and just celebrate the Christmas the next day.
December 27, 2019
Today I woke up early in the morning to prepare because my family will going to travel to Sto.Niño for our 48th family reunion. Even though i was still sleepy, I was forced to take a bath so that i can ready myself. I was hesitant at first to take a bath because the water is cold as ice but i've got no choice so I took a bath. At 6:30 a.m. we're already on the terminal to ride on a van. While travelling, I saw trees and flowers dancing gracefully as the wind blew them. Fastforward, we arrived at our destination.
I felt so tired as if i have done million of works. I was also sleepy co sidering the fact that I woke up early today. I was eating in the kitchen when one of my cousin, Mharjun, approached me and said hello to me. He's one of my best buddy. He's as skinny as a toothpick the last time I saw him but right now he's near to becoming a pig.
In the evening we had a program but first we had a mass. Every member of the family were introduced and the program continues. We had our Ms. Gaybcompetition and our dance competition. The night was still young but i chose to sleep early because i was feeling a bit under the weather.
December 28, 2019
I woke up early today. I was feeling a lot better than yesterday. Today is the second day of our family reunion. I ate my breakfast and then i took a bath. After i cleaned myself up i directly went to the open space in our venue for our next event which is the parlor games. Me and my cousins joined the parlor games. We enjoyed it and played like it would be our last time here on Earth. One member of our family gave us some money as his gift for us. I can definitely say that he got tons of money in his pocket.
The day continued and it was already lunch time. After eating our lunch i attended our annual family meeting to discuss the preparations for the reunion next year. I was scared to make any disturbances during the meeting because everyone was so serious. In the middle of the meeting, two members of our family argue about something involving money. They argued like there's no tomorrow and they were just going on the circle about it.
Later on they agreed to some matter and we continued our meeting. After the meeting we packed up out belongings and we bid our goodbyes to each other. Bidding goodbye to everyone was indeed the saddest part of our reunion. I would like to spend more time with them but i've got no choice but to continue my life. The most important part is that i enjoyed this day so much that i've got no regrets about it.
December 31, 2019
Today marks the last day for the year 2019. People are getting hyped up preparing for the new years eve later involving my family. Today me and my family woke up early to got ready and to prepare for the things we need for tonights celebrstion. After doing my usual chores my mother asked me to accompany her to the grocery store. So i took a quick bath, it seemed like i haven't cleaned my body yet but i needed to finish it quick because my mother's been telling me to hurry up for a millionth time already because according to her the mall's gonna be full today. When we arrived at the grocery store it was already crowded like if you dropped your phone on the sea of people it would take you hundreds of years before you could find it.
After all the things we've faced to get the things we needed we decided to go home and start preparing the foods. My fstjer and my mother did all the cooking and i just slept the whole afternoon because i really am a terrible cook and i dont want to ruin everything in the kitchen that's why i chose to sleep instead of helping my parents prepare the foods. We waited till it's midnight and we welcomed the new year wholeheartedly. Then I stayed up until 3 a.m. because I can’t sleep. I spent my time watching all the fireworks display that I could see at the sky while greeting my relatives and friends a happy new year.
January 5, 2019
Today marks the last day of our Christmas break. Also. Today is the first Sunday for the year 2020 so me and my family woke up early and readied ourselves to go to the church. After the mass we went back to our house and we ate our lunch. While I was lying on my bed I kept on thinking about school. I've got millions of school works to finish and I haven't even done half of it, i've got no one to blame but myself because I chose to procrastinate instead of doing my school works. Instead of thinking about it I decided to clean my room to release my burden. It was pretty weird but I actually enjoyed cleaning my room. I found stuffs that bring back memories when I was still in elementary. I also decided to wash my clothes and I washed hundreds of basket of dirty clothes. After I finished washing my clothes I felt exhausted and I decided to take a bath to sweep the dirt off of my body. In the evening after taking my dinner, I went to my room directly to start writing my journal again. Before starting it I opened my window and watched the leaves of the bougainvillea dancing gracefully as the wind blew its body. Then, I started writing my journal and I packed my things for tomorrow.

talk about 15, 36, 40
ah thank you so much for asking in! (calling in? can i call it that? it sounds like a fun radio host thing, so i wanna)15: Talk about the time you were most content in life. pff uhhhhhh thats a hard one. probably when i was a lil kid? so i dont remember it that well... it involved a lot of persona 3 fes, on the ps2. i dont know how i beat that game without direct party member control but i sure did! i still remember my first team even, it was yukari, koromaru, and aigis. p decent setup if i do say so! u go lil me.besides that sort of thing nothing really immediately jumps to mind though. kids just dont tend to have much to worry about, i guess? or at least i didnt, for the most part.
36: Talk about your guilty pleasures.well the first thing that comes to mind is the saw sequels. ill defend the first saw as a genuinely good film, thats not what im talking about here. im talking like. the rest of them. theyre bad and poorly acted and convoluted and all that. but like. theyre so over the top and ridiculous, i cant help but enjoy them whenever theyre on! like, the scene in, i think its like saw 6 or something, where (gore tw) the guy has to like, jab the meat hook in his pec and hoist himself up to the ceiling to save this girl from some dumbass deathtrap? RIDICULOUS. im laughing the whole time. like, my dude, my man, why not just. CLIMB THE CHAIN?? use the hook as a foothold its so easy lmao. god those movies are stupid. but i love em anyway40: Talk about the end of something in your life.hmm well, how about the end of living in new york? i used to live in ny (not the city, just the state, ive actually never been to nyc because idk i guess i suck like that). but so, backstory, as a kid my dad went up to idaho a lot, cuz he had family there, and he fuckin loves the place. mountains just really get his jollies rockin i guess. so, the summer between my freshman and sophomore years of high school, my family went on vacation (i want to say boston? not positive). and he and my mom plop my sister and me down in the middle of our vacation and said “so hey, how would you kids like to move from new york to idaho?” and my sister and i were like “oh god, wow, no, i am uhhhh very against that, vehemently so, please lets not do that” so a few months later we moved to idaho. by car! which translates to three 10+ hours, in the car, which was Awesome (it was not awesome). and THEN, when we finally get to idaho (early december), there was some issue with the people living in the house we were supposed to move into, and they werent ready to leave yet, so we spent like two or three weeks living in a hotel room. we had to wrap xmas presents by just, “hey turn your back for ten minutes”. i have a distinct memory of eating fruit cake in this room, for some reason. we FINALLY got into the house on dec 23, and so we spent xmas sitting on boxes opening other boxes, and that absolutely was the shittiest xmas of my life because i was too busy bawling my fuckin eyes out over moving cross-country and leaving all my everything behind to really get into the holiday cheer. plus side i got to miss a few weeks of school i guess?

a long fucking post (sorry)
bc my browser quit so i just copied it into notepad and kept going and didn’t break it up bc frankly i couldn’t be bothered lol i’ve #struggled today anyway:
i...i dont have any stuff to make spicy food with?? oh my god..........
where do i even...find
lol i could go back to the plateau but i’d probably be Sad.
i guess i have no choice :/
wow i miss the old man
pfft i can see farosh from here but it’s so close i’d never make it in time
SOMEDAY /shakes fist
seeking out shelter from a lightning storm inside the ruined temple of time makes me Very Sad
man. man. there’s nothing i wouldn’t do to set this right
except the main story, i guess, hahaha
OMG A RAINBOW
just for a short moment i didn’t even have time for a picture...wow wow wow
all right i’ve got enough peppers and i’ve had MORE than enough of the plateau im outta here
i fast traveled back to that one shrine i couldnt figure out before
i realize now i was probably supposed to use my paraglider hahaha but i just didnt think of it
theres a chest in here that i cannot. get. oh my god
[death montage]
GOT IT
lol and all that for a little sword
BACK TO THE MOUNTAINS thank god i have a fast travel point now
and that’s all done! time for more of The Story
normally i’d cut this off here but it’s p short so far so w/e
except.......idk where to go next. i know i want to find the zoras, but
which...direction are they. like, i even googled it
i’ll ask my brother and attempt the naked island again while i wait. i read somewhere you can drop your stuff before you properly set foot on there and it helps a bit. plus it’ll be something he hasn’t done, haha
well, so far so good - i managed to drop a few of my best items and a small amount of food - apples and raw fish - before i stepped on, but i forgot to drink the defense up elixir. i DID remember to eat the extra hearts food, though, and a good thing, bc i came on during a fucking storm in the middle of the night and nearly got killed by some weird yellow octorok popping up out of the ground. fine now tho, all out of extra hearts but other than that good - found some shrooms, a sword, and an axe
oh my god i hit a barrel and DIED bc there was an electric chuchu in it!!!
okay trying again...in the storm again...forgot to drink my defense bonus again...Greay
one orb down!!
lol and i died AGAIN bc i underestimated a bokoblin...i can't take out camps from afar with no arrows!! maybe i can try bombs next time, sigh
i hate getting out to this island
i hate everything ABOUT this island. it is deisnged to kill you. endless skeletons and fire chuchus are great if you need materials and weapons but the chuchus set everything on fire. and there are octoroks ringing the whole island AND on the actual island - there's no safe ground ANYWHERE!!
remembered to drink my elixir but nearly left the stuff i dropped floating in the ocean lol
one orb down AGAIN.
gotta be a smarter way to do this bokblin camp on the hill. i can't take them all on at once and i can't detonate any of the explosive from afar with arrows, and bombs get me noticed. i can't take that swarm of enemies with no armor. no way.
YES camp down lmao i blew up the barrels with my own bombs since the fucking chuchus noticed me anyway
now i can COOK THINGS thank you thank you
YES now i have hearts up and attack elixirs!!!!
time to fight the blue hinox (:
HAHAHA WOW MY HEARTRATE IS SO JACKED RN
he has so much defense even with my elixir ;_; im too afraid to get close enough for an attack
i wish i had a defense booster!!
NO oh god a lightning storm now of all times!!! no!!!!!!
I CANT EVEN CLIMB THE CLIFFS TO ESCAPE HIM IN THE RAIN
oh my god can he follow me into the water...?

My Friend And I Used To Play ‘Army’ In The Woods, But This Incident Changed Our Friendship Forever
I have never told anyone about this but its time to get something off my chest. I need to push the darkness of the one horrifying day of my childhood off of my chest like a bench press or the weight of it is going to eventually slip down and choke me to death.
So here we go.
My favorite thing to do when I was 11-years-old was playing Army at my friend Tobys house. I would count down the hours, minutes, and seconds until Saturday afternoon almost every week until I would hop in my moms Suburban and traverse the windy roads of the foothills of the North Cascades that led up to where Tobys family lived on a small rustic raspberry farm at the end of a gravel road.
I loved playing Army at Tobys house most of all because his familys multiple-acre property was loaded with forts, treehouses, little creeks, and sheds that made it seem like it was some kind of backlot set from an old war movie. On top of that, Tobys dad was a Vietnam vet who had authentic military gear that helped us truly feel like we were battling some kind of foreign threat that had made its way to the moist, mossy forests of Western Washington.
The afternoon started just like every other one where my mom dropped me off to play Army and stay the night at Tobys house we loaded our packs with hard-ass military essentials like Fruit Roll Ups, Gushers, nuclear green Gatorade, and Nerf guns spray-painted black and we stomped out into the woods. Once into the near-darkness of the Washington evergreens, Toby and I would head straight to a place that seemed almost too good to be true for an 11-year-old rural boy an underground fort.
The envy of every boy at Browning Elementary School, Tobys dad built the underground fort based on one he had encountered in the jungles of Vietnam. Tobys dad said he couldnt stay in the thing for more than a few minutes or he would get flashbacks and that was good news for Toby and all of his friends as it allowed for him to stash the Playboys we had all accumulated to be stored there in relative safety.
About 25 yards from the end of Tobys yard and the start of the woods was the rotten stump Tobys dad had hollowed out to turn into the entrance to the fort. You climbed up into the thing, lifted up a heavy wooden door (to keep out coyotes and other animals) and climbed down a ladder into the darkness hole of the fort where a lantern to illuminate the dirt walls of the thing waited.
Just like any other day, Toby and I started in the fort, mapping out our plan of attack on a custom map of the woods around the house that Tobys dad made for us. This day, we planned to attack a tiny little island that rested where two creeks on the property met, but we were going to have to take a special route there due to a very real enemy that hovered in the woods between the island and the fort Colt Gaskin.
A skinny seventh grader with a jet black bowl cut and a mean streak, Colt was Tobys neighbor through the forest and a menacing figure who rode his dirt bike through the woods that served as our imaginary battlefield. People liked to exaggerate about getting beaten up after school every day when really they just got a little bit made fun of (beatings in real life send you to the hospital), but Colt would literally hit us in the face if he saw us and he had gotten Toby really good last week when we got in the way of his dirt bike.
Our plan was to avoid Colts scope of range by taking a path that was just off of Tobys backyard to the island and it worked. We were able to execute our attack on the island without any interference except for a tough counterstrike from our imaginary opponents.
However, our success made us overconfident, as we took our normal path back from the island that cut through Colts hunting grounds.
It was a horrible mistake. The whining rumble of Colts dirt bike coming up from behind us made me freeze in our muddy tracks.
Within seconds, I felt Colts hand slap against the back of my head and knock my camo hat off. I watched him skid in front of us, whip his dirt bike around and rev the obnoxious engine in our faces.
Oh fuck, Toby and I cussed at the same time and Colt skidded to a frantic stop just in front of us with the obnoxious engine of the bike still blaring.
Ah, little fags playing G.I. Joe in the woods, Colt snickered just after shutting off his engine and jumping off his dirt bike.
Toby didnt wait another second, he took off in the direction of the island and I bolted as well, went in the direction of the underground fort.
Im not sure why I decided not to run in the same direction as Toby, but it turned out to be a good selfish choice. I heard Colts dirt bike roar off in the direction Toby had bolted.
I figured Toby would meet back up with me after he escaped whatever ended up happening with Colt at the underground fort anyway and dove down into the darkness of the secure facility with my lungs heaving. I scrambled hard onto the hard dirt floor and took a few moments to collect my breath before I started crawling towards the middle of the fort where we left the lantern.
I started pawing on the ground where it should have been, but couldnt find it. I at first didnt think anything of it, we must have just put it somewhere else before we left, but that sense of normalcy evaporated when I heard a slimy cough come from a somewhere in the pitch black fort.
I froze again. I thought about calling out the name Toby with a question mark at the end of it, but there was no point, I had seen Toby run off in the other direction and the tone of the cough was far too deep to be produced by an 11-year-old.
Maybe, it was Tobys dad? My brain thought for a second before it thought of my next move, the lighter in my pocket. I flashed the thing on and saw the worst sight my eyes had witnessed in my young life
Sitting in one of the corners of the fort was a completely naked middle-aged man covered from head to toe in body hair. My vision was limited in the faint second of a crack of light the lighter gave out, but the guy looked a lot like the wax cavemen I had seen at museums on field trips before and he shot a look at me just before the light gave out and I tore up to the lid of the fort.
I scrambled out into the dying light of the afternoon forest assuming the naked hairy man in the fort was snapping at feet like a shark. I tumbled my way off of the stump that served as the entrance to the fort and took off deeper into the woods at a full sprint without a look back.
The woods were eerily silent as I dashed through the soggy-leafed floor in the heart of dusk that had turned the dimmer switch to nearly dark under the canopy of thick trees. The near darkness combined with the wet air of the Fall Western Washington forest created a bit of a misty fog that crept through the trees and filled my lungs with moisture as I sucked air in my sprint.
My lungs and legs could finally take no more and I slowed to a wobbly stop as a few fat drops of rain fell down from the tall trees and onto the top of my head. I keeled over, gasping for air and put my hands on the knees of my camo pants.
For a second, the adrenaline leaked out of my brain and I started to realize that I ran in the complete wrong direction. I had sprinted deeper into the dark woods, far, far away from the safety of Tobys parents house, closer to Colts familys house and probably actually even past it where I actually had no idea where I was…and the sun was setting.
I took a long look at my surroundings from every direction and in no way recognized any of the endless forest around me. It was just a murky collection of trees, bushes and the call of mysterious birds coming from the trees that were soaking up the last little bits of light of the day.
My first instinct was to cry. I was 11-years-old and I was alone, lost in a darkening forest with the temperature plummeting rapidly. My only comfort was knowing that Tobys parents knew we were playing in the woods and were supposed to be in by nightfall, but I also had no idea how far away from their property I was and if they would be distracted by trying to track down Toby after his own incident with Colt.
I figured my best option was to try and start walking back in the direction from where I had come, but I wasnt sure which direction that was. An 11-year-old with a brain coursing with adrenaline and fear, I lost track of my path and just kind of turned around and started heading that way.
Five minutes into my journey, I got the feeling that I was going the wrong way. I had seen no signs of life or anything that I recognized, so I started heading in another direction while wiping tears from my eyes.
It quickly seemed like it was a good choice once I started hearing the light trickle of a creek coming from off in the distance. I knew that there was a small creek, Crawdad Creek, that ran the very edge of Tobys parents property. I followed the sounds of running water through some tall grass and skunk cabbage until a flash of orange neon caught my eye.
Sticking out of the tall grass just off the shore of the creek was a small tent that jutted out of the grass like the peak of a mountain stick up out of a grassy valley. I crept up to the nylon structure without anxiety, I believed that the little mobile domicile might be housing someone who could help me, but I was wrong.
I could see that the entrance of the tent was open when I walked in and saw no human presence waiting for me there, just a few scattered items on top of a crumpled sleeping bag. Noticing that one of the items was a flashlight, I figured it would be good for me to do a little scavenging as I anticipated nightfall.
At a closer vantage, the items on the sleeping bag were the flashlight, a thawed-out box of Bagel Bites, a long hunting knife with a ringed handle and a stack of Polaroid pictures. After confirming that the flashlight worked, I turned my beam of light to the Polaroids and immediately wished I hadnt.
What I saw were those rare images so vile they immediately make you feel sick to your stomach. The first three Polaroids I scanned for the faintest of moments were of Toby naked, frozen forever in lurid poses that reminded me of the portraits in the Playboys back in the fort and the last two were of Colt in similar positions in the very tent I was standing in.
I felt stinging vomit bubble up to the back of my throat before I threw the pictures back down and shuffled out of the tent with the flashlight stuck to my hand in a tight grip of dark fear. Once outside of the cover of the tent I saw reason to quickly shut the flashlight right back off when I heard a familiar cough cut through the now completely dark forest and caught a glimpse of the naked, pale meat of the man I had seen in the fort.
I dove into the tall grass behind the tent and started to crawl on my belly towards the creek where I eventually settled underneath the safe cover of a rotting dead log lying on its side. Once, comfortable, I peeked up into the night to see the hairy man, wearing a pair of tighty whitey briefs with a bearded face covered with blood, duck down into the tent in the light of the lantern he must have swiped from our fort.
I lay frozen for a handful of minutes until the clumsy sound of snoring came beaming from the tent and I loosened up, ready to make my escape by the banks of the creek. I slowly got myself to my feet and started sneaking down to the creek in the direction I believed led back to Tobys house.
I planned to follow the water all the way back to their property, but encountered a problem when the creek turned into a small pond that I did not recognize.
It apparently was not the Crawdad Creek that I had been following and now I was at some completely unfamiliar murky pond. Somehow though, the chilling discovery that I had been going the wrong way for an hour now was not the most disturbing thing I saw. That sight was Tobys custom painted black Nerf gun, floating in the middle of the pond.
That sight was enough to send me scrambling back into the thick of the dark woods with my little beam of flashlight leading the way, but that was not the right choice and I knew it as soon as I felt the ground fall out from under me. I became weightless and screamed until my little body came to a hard thud.
The wind thoroughly pounded out of me, it took a second to catch my breath and figure out what happened. I now laid on the dirt floor of some kind of trap – broken pieces of wood of the fake forest floor that had pulled me in all around me.
I cried and my chest heaved in exhaustion and terror. The hole I was in looked to be about ten-feet high on each side. There was no way I was going to climb out of the thing and I let out an audible scream when I looked to my side and saw Tobys beloved army pack that he had gotten from his dad wrapped up around one of the thick branches of the trap.
A light rain began to trickle down from the canopy of trees and drop into my already wet eyes. My little body couldnt take much more the cold, the walking for hours, the horror, the hopelessness of the situation I had enough. I sat down in the mud, with my butt stuck into the cold wet ground, tucked my knees up to my face and cried into my army pants.
I sat there sulking and crying for what must have been 30 to 40 minutes before I cracked open my eyes to realize I had a ray of hope Tobys pack. I remembered that Toby always had his army pack loaded up with tactical gear, including a thick rope.
I tore at Tobys pack and found Tobys trusty rope. I started to unspool my salvation when the distant murmuring of voices froze me in my escape. Vaguely familiar adult voices, I heard them come closer muffled by the sound of the rain falling all around me. I perked up my ears to try and decipher the words that sounded like when the adults talked on Charlie Brown and slowly started to recognize who was talking it was Tobys parents.
They must have been looking for me.
Help! Help! Help! I cried out into the night as I saw the beams of their flashlights cut in and out of the air above my hole. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.
They probably couldnt hear me over the rain. I went back to my work as fast as I could, throwing the rope over the edge of one of the sides of the hole hoping it would catch on something. It took a few tries, but it eventually did and I used the last reserves of energy and hope I had to pull myself up the dirt walls of the hole while trying to yell as loud as I possibly could.
Lying on my belly in the mud, I finally laid my eyes on signs of life. Off in the near distance, in an opening in the foliage was a roaring fire with the silhouettes of a few adults standing around it. I screamed at the top of my lungs as I staggered towards the people, but my wasted lungs, the rain and the rock music blasting from the camp were all drowning me out.
I was just about to the edge of the camp area when I held up for a second something wasnt right. As I got closer, the sounds had turned from what seemed like normal conversations to weird, unnerving howls and screams. I could see what was clearly Tobys parents, but there was one more person who stopped me in my tracks a few yards outside of the camp the hairy man from the fort, he stood fully-clothed now with his thick beard sticking out of the hood of a sweater, staring at the fire with a beer in his hand.
It took a second, but I eventually realized that it wasnt actually the fire that he was staring at. He was staring at a gagged and bound Toby who was squirming just off to the side of the roaring fire as his parents stumbled around drunk next to him laughing. But his gaze didnt remain on Toby, it shifted over to me, standing slack-jawed in the woods.
I sprinted away as soon as our eyes locked. I started tearing through the wet foliage of the forest with the rain beating upon me and my little feet pounding the ground imagining the hot beams of the scary adults flashlights upon my back. I ran and ran and ran until I could run no more again.
Finally out of breath, I stopped in a grassy patch of land and realized that I was actually in a large backyard of muddy grass that cut into the thick trees. Just off to my side was a rusted trailer home with its lighted windows calling to me. The family from could have been waiting for me inside there, but I didnt care, it was better than what I assumed was trailing me through the woods.
I staggered up the soggy wooden steps of the trailer with legs that wobbled with fatigue and fell onto the metal door with a pound. With my last reserves of power, I threw my hands against the heavy door until it swung open and I fell at the feet of a shirtless middle-aged man eating a can of pork and beans with a fork. The man licked his lips and looked down at me quizzically, like a dog looks at a bug running across the driveway.
After a few moments of looking up at the man and his raggedy beard, I realized that I recognized him a little bit and not in a good way, he was Colts dad. I had seen him before at parent/teacher conferences, walking through the halls in dirty cowboy boots and chewing tobacco and had watched him drop off Colt for school in a colossal Jeep with no top.
I usually would have been horrified to stumble upon Colts dad, especially knowing it probably meant Colt was just feet away smoking cigarettes or playing video games, but it was instead a salvation this time. I didnt even care about Colt. I just stayed at his dads feet and asked if he could drive me home.
I was actually glad that Colts dad came off as a bit of an outlaw because he didnt ask a single question about what had happened to me, just drove through the night to my parents house 15 minutes away and dropped me off just as the sun had finished rising. He gave me a wink when he dropped me off bathed in a coat of frigid morning air that had been enveloping me during the entire ride in his open Jeep.
I told my parents Toby woke up at the crack of dawn with his dad to go fishing and I didnt want to go so I just had them drop me off. They didnt even ask a single follow-up question, just fed me breakfast before I slunk off to play video games and tried to wash the horror from the coils of my brain.
Im not sure exactly why I never told anyone what happened. I think maybe it was as a kid you feel like all adults are infallible and that no one will believe you. I also feel like subconsciously maybe I knew doing so would end up making the rest of my life be a giant controversy of black clouds. So I just stayed silent. When I saw Toby at school on Monday, I never said a single thing about what happened and we stayed school friends, but never saw each other outside of school ever again. Even school friends didnt last long either as Toby started getting homeschooled the next year and then moved away. I have tried to find him on Facebook over the years (usually when I get drunk), but have never been able to find anything about him, which to me is always a huge red flag.
Well until yesterday when I noticed two little red notification bubbles on my Facebook. They were a friend request from a heavily-tattooed Toby Gunderson and a message from him which read
The message has been sitting there unanswered in my inbox for weeks. I dont know, do you think I should get back to him?

KOTM: Progressive Pileup
Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat
Brought to you by ANN, A Newscannell for Mecha Combat
Highlighting the October 3320 Progressive Pileup
Another climb at K2, but I was weary to the bones this time. Paulzilla had seemingly ordered the elimination of some mediumsized forests, and the dead trunks had been smashed and thrown into acid and... We had gotten three HUGE shipment of paper, and the paperwork was threthening to take over not only my office, but the whole building. As all of us was burdened with this, I hoped my petition to change the regulations as to what had to be documented would get the necessary seven votes. But now it was climbing time, exept I barely had any energy left. I fell asleep in the cockpit and didnt wake up until we were almost halfway into the scramble. Some friendly souls had sent plenty of supers, and the opposition had left me alone. I was still in the middle foothills with no real hope of advancement. Heck, with 21 contestants I should be thankful if I got my fourth in a row. But Paulzilla expect us to, well not necessarily succeed, but at least to try. "The only battle you cant win is the one you dont participate in" is one of his common sayings, and when it comes to the Climbs; "Attack, attack and attack. A loss cost nothing, but a win might net great rewards" To get to the top I would have to climb to the top foothill first. It was currently held by Glenn Monson of T.I.o.M.T. 45 levels above me and member of one of the top five clans. But it seemed possible. My first few tries let me have a look at his fifth line, and on my twentieth some lucky forks sent him packing. Another Isler held top spot and had done so for most of the Climb. Ales Hasala will generally beat me at least 999 times out of 1000, but my luck had held so far. Chugging down supers and ignoring the impossibility of my success, I launced a series of attacks, and as luck would have it my twentyfifth try succeded. I was at the top, and as seconds became minutes I began to dream of the fresh air and lofty heights of K1. Reality, in the guise of Dan Ross from Death`s Collector`s, intruded and sent me down to the slopes. Refusing to thank my good fortunes for granting me a medal, and a Silver at that, I readied my last three supers. I managed to get him down to two functioning mechs twice, but that was two more than I had. When the light flashed I was still on the slopes. Those who got Gold, Fame, Nephilax and invitations to tougher climbs this time were:
Div 1 (30 players): Terry Cole, Leviathan (15m,34s) Div 2 (21 players): Dan Ross, Death`s Collector`s (3m,49s) Div 3 (34 players): Bing Paculan, The Isle of Misfit Toys (47m,23s) Div 4 (49 players): Theo Peeples, The Isle of Misfit Toys (9h,32m) Div 5 (37 players): Justin Bertelli, PHOENIX (6h,46m) Div 6 (62 players): Fj Bros, Northwind Dragons (1d,18h) Div 7 (43 players): Jackson Kirkpatrick, THUNDERBIRD (1d,22h) Div 8 (50 players): Mortem Orbisque, Emerald Dragons (1d,21h) Div 9 (39 players): KiloTone Recoil, T.B. 2nd Kearney Highlanders (20h,5m) Div 10 (28 players): WilyKit, Karma (16m,11s) Div 11 (12 players): Jeff C Day III, Knights of Chaos (2nd div) (2h,39m) Div 12 (8 players): Bustertj2013 (23h,12m)
Total participants: 413, Total Medals: 170 ( of 180 possible)
Again not enough Warriors to fill the two lowest divisions, a total of ten bronzes went unclaimed this time.
The scramble lasted around 37 minutes. During that time three Golds changed hands, one during the last five minutes. Flip side, three golds were held for over a day.
The Isle of Misfit Toys was only clan to claim two Golds this time. Unafiliated Bustertj2013 got a Gold in div 12, and can probably expect invitations from clans wanting reinforcements for the upcoming CW. Terry Cole of Leviathan broke Favaros streak of wins and was only Warrior to get two Golds in a row.
Despite some comcalls to winners about an interview, none responded. As I wanted to get the work credited to my account before the CW, no interview this time either. Any fresh winners can try and get in touch with me after the
Upcoming event: Smaller Gateways In this event the total tonnage you can bring is determined by your division. bringing mor tonnage will cause blank spots to appear in Your formation and generally make it weaker than if you had trimmed it yourself. mechs, weapons and equipment is up to you.
