I’m so happy to see you back on my feed 😍 An ask for your sleepover! Do Cedar Trees!Steve and his Queen have any ::ahem:: spring rituals*? 👀
*Make it dirty lollll.
Title: Love That's Laid Beside Me
Collection: CEDAR TREES Characters/Pairings: King!Steve Rogers x Queen!Reader Word Count: 5k
Summary: With the first spring equinox, Steve shares a tradition from his past before he was royal. You broach something that's been on your mind for your future.
Content & Warnings: royal au, discussion of children, explicit smut - NATURE/OUTDOOR SEX (bahaha YAY), nipple play, cock stroking, brief cock warming, vaginal fingering, unprotected vaginal intercourse, slight dirty talk (it's still royal Steve, so...), breeding kink, potential pregnancy
Logistical Notes: I knew the second you dropped this in my askbox that I wanted outdoor sex for the spring equinox, and when I started it, it was timely, but I have worked on this installment of their story now for six or seven weeks. I've rewritten it a couple of times, wrestled with parts of the emotional journey. Steve surprised me in the middle portion by opening up with a lot more nostalgia than I knew was going to insert itself into the story. And then with the rest of their conversation for the final third of the story, I went back to the drawing board a few times. Thank you @biteofcherry and @stargazingfangirl18 for being instrumental in talking through what I was working on with Steve and his queen at vital points when I needed it!
Narrative Notes: Steve and his queen were married in June, and this takes place during their first spring together. To read previous pieces chronologically, refer to the masterlist of this collection's pieces.

You look up sharply at the sound of your name. “Mmm?”
“You seem distracted, my love,” Steve says, his brow furrowed in concern.
You shake your head slightly. “I am sorry, it was perhaps a longer day than I anticipated it would be.”
“We can dispense with the dessert course if you are too weary,” Steve suggests.
You scoff. “Dare not speak of such a thing!”
He chuckles, and you smile broadly at him. “I withdraw the proposition,” he says, his eyes sparkling with mirth for a moment.
But as you both savor the exquisite chocolate mousse presented a few minutes later, you notice his frequent gaze on you is more scrutinizing. You do your best to engage again in the conversation.
Truthfully, you have been distracted, but you did not wish to draw his concern. In part it is because you do not want him to worry about you, but more so you yourself do not want to dwell on the issue that has begun to encroach on the edges your thoughts these past weeks. But the exquisite taste of chocolate and his striking blue eyes do serve to draw you back into the moment.
You do your best to gracefully scrape every last bit of mousse from the small crystal goblet, and once the service is cleared away, Steve stands and extends his hand toward you. You stand and go to him. This is familiar now.
He draws your hand to his lips, presses a kiss to the backs of your fingers, then tucks your hand in the crook of his arm. “May I escort you to your chambers to retire for the evening?”
“Yes, of course, my king,” you respond warmly and fall into step with him, leaving the dining room behind.
You have fallen into certain routines after dinner, and while the two of you do not do the very same thing each night, you do spend nearly all your evenings together, the only exception if he must be away on royal business. This evening you read while he sketches before darkness seeps through the windows and you two begin to get ready for bed.
Once you’re both fully freed from the entrapments of your elaborate day wardrobes, you catch Steve studying you again through the reflection of the mirror as you stand in front of your vanity.
“What is that look?” you ask, frowning at him.
“You are very quiet tonight.”
“Again, I am sorry, I must be tired.”
You can see in his eyes that part of him wants to press you further, but he chooses not to. At least not about that.
“Too tired for a little adventure?” he asks.
You turn and fix him with a playfully scrutinizing look. “Pray tell what adventure a king thinks he can get up to in the twilight hour when he’s in his bedclothes?”
“Come with me and find out.”
His eyes are full of mischief, and there is no way you could resist him with that look on his face.
He picks up your velvet cloak and hands it to you before donning his own.
You reach for some boots.
“No,” he stops you, “no shoes.”
“Barefoot?”
“Slippers should do.”
He grins and reaches for your hand. The two of you go hand in hand as you sneak out of your chambers. Steve gives the men standing guard a look that says they are not to appear to know the two of you have left or which way you have gone unless the situation is dire. As king and queen, you can only be so discreet on this adventure as you pass enough guards and servants that your movements cannot in any way be a secret. But it is still a bit of a thrill to skirt through the castle swiftly in the dark, fingers twined together, escaping out onto the grounds. You wind through the gardens as dusk turns starts to turn to darkness, beyond the stables and more gardens, past the royal orchard, and across even more ground until you ultimately reach a thicket of trees. This, you know, is the south side of the royal grounds, and if not for an eventual stone wall to secure the castle, it could have been any common forest you were ambling into.
The moonlight is just beginning to cast its silvery glow across the night, and it only adds another layer to the novelty of the moment. The two of you follow an almost-path into the trees, and it continues further than you expect it to go. It is clear Steve is familiar with this path, his steps through the trees and the brush steady and sure.
As you move along, your steps hadn’t been rushed once you’d escaped the castle proper, but Steve starts to slow significantly, and you step closer to him with the relaxed pace, able to walk with him rather than follow through this part of the landscape that is new to you. Steve brings your hand up to press a kiss to the back of it and smiles down at you.
“When I was young, my ma used to try and find ways to lift our spirits. We were so poor, but she never wanted us to want for reasons to be happy. She thought it important to make any occasions special as they came our way with our own rituals and traditions.”
Married less than a year, you are still learning much about each other in this relationship – there were so many things in the present, you had spoken of some hopes for the future, and much of the vast troves of the past lay behind you to explore. You knew his father had been killed as a soldier in a war between kingdoms when he was still a toddling child, and his mother had been lost to a plague just before he’d come of age. The few times he’d spoken of his mother, it had always been with such warmth that it made your heart swell and grew your affection for him even more.
“I don’t remember how old I was when she started this tradition, but one night instead of having me get ready for bed, she bundled me up enough to keep me from catching cold in the March evening air, put on her own cloak, and we ventured out into the night, just outside of the village, and into the forest. It was the spring equinox, and she said if we walked into the clearing, left an offering, and made a wish, then the magic that came with the awakening of spring would make that wish come true.”
He'd stopped at some point during those words, and as you look around, you see you are in a very small break in the trees – not quite big enough to be called a clearing.
There weren’t big festivities and royal duties around the equinoxes in the kingdom as there were for the solstices, but there were still rituals and traditions in the days leading up to and following, so you knew the significance of this day, and tonight was the last night where darkness held equal balance with the day, and then daylight would take the reigns for its share of the year.
“I love that you’ve kept that tradition in her remembrance,” you say, running your other hand up and down his forearm. “What sort of offerings did you leave?”
“It would depend on the year,” he responds, plaintive in thought, “sometimes whatever small token we could scrounge, others perhaps a specially baked good or honey if we could spare it. When I began to draw in earnest, sometimes I would leave a sketch for those forest sprites, or fairies, or deities, whatever you would believe ruled the trees.”
“And your wishes came true?”
His gaze lifts to the starry sky for a moment, then he looks down into your face. “Perhaps one or two, but some of the wishes were too foolish and did not need to be granted.” He laughs softly, and you grin and press closer to him. He then turns fully toward you to envelop you in his arms. “I think her wishes probably came true – she always wanted more for me, happiness, a good life. I have so much of that now.”
You reach up and gently cup his face in your hands. “I never planned on an unhappy life, but I think fortune granted us more happiness than either of us anticipated.”
“Indeed,” he says resolutely, bowing his head to capture your lips with his.
You kiss him back fervently. One of his hands moves down your spine, coming to stop at the small of your back, pressing you into him. You hum into the kiss, relishing the closeness and connection between the two of you.
Steve draws his lips away just before you’re at the point of breathlessness, but he presses his forehead to yours, and you continue to breathe each other in.
“I think I have something that would work for an offering,” you pipe up after a few moments of the tranquility in his embrace.
He doesn’t say anything but loosens his hold as you shift your arms back down and tug at the silk ribbon at the cuff of one of your sleeves, drawing it out of its casing.
“A fine token from my beautiful bride,” he remarks.
“And what are you giving up to the wood?”
“A piece of my heart,” he says with a grin.
You tsk at him and roll your eyes, but you do feel a small rush of heat in your cheeks and the butterflies stir in your belly because even though his tone was playful, there’s an undeniable intention in his eyes.
“No, what did you really bring, husband? I know you well enough to know you came prepared.”
He draws a small, folded piece of parchment out of his breast pocket, holding it up before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“Come,” he inclines his head over his left shoulder, turning and stepping toward one of the nearby cedar trees. One of the branches hangs near shoulder height to you. Steve places the folded drawing onto the branch, holding it in place, and you step up to tie it to the branch without him needing to explain.
“I don’t get to see what you drew?” you ask as you arrange the loops for a bow and work the silk with your nimble fingers.
“If you tell a wish – or show it in this case, then it might not come true.”
You know he is not one to believe in silly superstitions, but you have your own wish you hope this ritual might help along, so you just smile and nod. “Fair enough.”
The two of you step back, and you admire the simple beauty of the ribbon and think you could very well tie many more ribbons to this tree in the coming years together. You hope that is the case.
Steve takes another few steps back into the open space between the trees, draws his robe off his shoulders, and spreads it out over the ground. You pull off your own robe and join him as he lays back and holds his arm open for you. He assists as you drape your robe over your lower halves. The air is crisp but not cold, but the warmth of his body against yours is wonderful, and you nestle into him.
The stars dotting the heavens are bright skirting around a full moon, and as the two of you gaze up at the night sky, you twine your fingers with Steve’s at your shoulder. You have maintained who you are, who you were raised to be, strong and steady, noble, regal, with your own sense of purpose and fulfillment, but the wholeness you feel when you are with Steve enriches your soul. You are not empty without him, but more full with him. Laying with him right now is a balm you did not know you desperately needed tonight.
Steve begins to speak again. “After she passed, I kept the yearly tradition for the equinox, but especially after I inherited this kingdom.”
His voice was another comfort. You loved hearing more of what made up this man who held your heart.
“I never sought the crown,” he continues, “but after I suddenly found myself king, I held onto anything that kept me grounded. Bucky has been a constant, but I spent much time in these woods to clear my head, work out answers I needed to sort through on my own, or simply sit with feelings or difficulties I could not suffer in the palace in front of anyone else.”
Given that admission, the semblance of a path and his familiarity navigating to this glen in the trees made perfect sense.
This man was strong and stoic, and your husband had the heart of a lion, but you could only imagine what it must have been like to inherit a kingdom and all the royal duties of being its king overnight. You had grown up as the second-born in a royal family, able to learn and prepare, with parents, governesses, advisors, tutors, and your royal siblings being brought up alongside you to prepare for a life of duty and the unique difficulties it would present for the entirety of your life. Steve had been plucked out of obscurity by fate with no training, orphaned, only a soul who had always worked hard and possessed a deep-rooted a sense of duty and desire to serve those around him in any way he could.
He speaks again, an abundant warmth in his tone. “In you I have found yet another boon and have had fewer occasions where I needed to seek out the solace of this place.”
You shift to your side to lean up and look into his face. This was not a surprise revelation. His words and actions have demonstrated consistently how much he values you since that night you had pledged your true love and affection to each other so many months ago, but him vocalizing this sentiment still means so much and makes your heart soar because your relationship is still so new.
You move down to kiss him, and he lifts his head to meet you halfway. He holds your face in his hands, and his thumbs brush gently over your cheeks.
He pulls back, presses another brief kiss to your mouth, then traces a finger over your parted lips. His blue eyes connect again to yours.
“I don’t know if you are holding back the thoughts that trouble you because I’m king and you think I have royal matters to occupy my thoughts, but something is on your mind,” he says quietly.
Your heart stings a little at his accusation – but he is not wholly wrong.
“Please,” he presses, “we said we would be husband and wife to each other, we vowed a true and unfettered love. As your husband I can see it, I know it, and it’s eating at me that I can’t share whatever is burdening you. Do not hold matters so important and worrisome back from me.”
Your throat feels thick and though you are still unsure of the words and the feelings yourself, you cannot deny Steve’s fervent plea to open up to him, and you trust that the foundation you’ve been building together will guide the two of you through however this conversation will go.
Carefully, you settle back down against him, wanting to feel his closeness. You press the side of your face to his chest, over his heart, and drape your left arm over his torso. His hand trails up and down your arm tenderly, while his other arm holds you, patiently waiting.
You take a deep breath and then let your thoughts flow into words. “Are you at all worried that we have been married three-quarters of a year,” you begin, “time enough for me to be with child, and yet we have no heir on the way?”
He hums in thought, not immediately answering.
You know the silence is short, but it feels long because you anxiously await his thoughts.
“No,” he finally answers.
He does not elaborate, and though when Steve chooses to speak and when he chooses to keep his thoughts to himself is something you have noted and admired in his character as a king, on this matter you crave every word of his thoughts.
“No?”
He sits up and pulls you into his lap, arms encircling you entirely.
“I am realizing we have never spoken about this with each other,” he says.
“And?”
“And I imagine we have spoken about it or been spoken to about it with others before our union.”
You nod.
He furrows his brow slightly, studying your face.
“Steve,” it’s you ushering the conversation now.
“Is anyone pressing you on the matter?” he asks, tone serious.
“No,” you reply.
He raises an eyebrow.
“Truthfully,” you reassure him.
“Then truthfully, you asked if I am worried – but I had not realized so much time had already passed. The longer we are married, the more it feels as if I’ve known you for ages, but it also feels as if it has been no time at all.”
You nod. “I think that is one of the reasons I have been hesitant to broach the subject now since it has been many months and we had never once spoken on the matter. It had never crossed my mind, and I didn’t know if it had yours.”
You had wondered why. You wondered if it was a mark of selfishness, or merely a mark on how devoted the two of you had been in building your bonds as husband and wife in your time as newlyweds – newlyweds in a cordially arranged marriage that turned out to be a true love match.
He remains quiet for another moment, and you place your hand on his cheek, relishing the feel of his beard against your palm.
His tone is soft when he finally continues. “I want children, not heirs.”
Your melt into his embrace, heart skipping a beat. Why had you let yourself worry at all?
“But what do you want, my love?”
“I-“
His question gives you pause. You know the most vital duty of a queen is to produce an heir, but the way Steve looks at you in this moment, so intently, you want to give him the true answer, not merely the answer you were raised to give.
And it’s in those fervent blue eyes of his that you also seem to find the truth of it.
“I want to have children with you.”
He does not ask for you to clarify or repeat the sentiment because he knows you do not speak to placate him in any way, the same way you know he does not try to placate you now.
“You know that I was not raised to be a king or with all the expectations that come along with it. Since the time the crown was bestowed upon me, I did learn the import of all the duties that were suddenly expected. Bring peace and stability to the kingdom, serve the people, and much of that was tied to expectations that I take a wife to give the kingdom a queen, and ultimately produce an heir to secure the line of succession, so I can only imagine what the duties and obligations felt like if one had been shouldered with them from birth.”
You sigh. “I suppose it is a different kind of weight as it’s all I’ve ever known, and it wasn’t thrust upon me as it was you.”
“But that does not minimize its weight, nor am I saying it was an unbearable burden for either of us. But I did feel the weight of it for all the years I ruled alone before you, and yet I stood firmly against any pressure to rush me into matrimony. Call it patience or obstinance, but I was rewarded for my waiting beyond anything I hoped for in that wife being you, and I know I was not your first proposed marriage contract either.”
“You were not, but you were the first I felt confident in, even when it was an arrangement that was amicable, not one with romantic notions or intent.”
“With that,” Steve continues, “I can do nothing but trust that there is no need to rush fulfilment of any of our duties. If and when children come into our life, it will be precisely when providence deems they should.”
“How is it you always say such wonderful things?”
He tilts his head, and the look on his face turns so soft it makes your heart ache. “Your heart inspires my heart.”
You close the small gap between you and kiss him fiercely. This man continue to show he is more than you could ever have dreamed, worthy of anchoring your soul. Your tongue teases the seam of his lips, and he opens his mouth to you immediately.
His hands are a little cold, but you do not mind the chill of his fingers as one of his hands moves under the hem of your nightdress, lands on your knee, and begins to move purposely up your thigh.
“Now, we ought to give providence every opportunity to send a child our way, should we not?” he teases.
You laugh and tug at his shirt. “We should, my king.” He lifts his arms to allow you to pull off his garment. “My love,” you add more tenderly before kissing him again.
He eases back to the ground, pulling you with him, lips locked together. The sentiments shared between you, the always enticing closeness, the novelty of having Steve outdoors, the magic of the spring equinox, all of it comes together to drive the two of you quickly into a frenzy of immediate need and want. You shift to straddle Steve and reach down to tear at the front laces of his breeches. The places where your naked thighs tuck in on each side of his bare torso relish the warmth and the beauty of the skin-to-skin contact. He hitches up your nightdress and his hands caress up and down your thighs as you reach for his cock. Steve hisses at your cold fingers wrapping around his hard length but bucks up into your hand as you stroke him.
“Inside you,” he insists. “Need to be inside you, filling you, planting my seed inside the cunt of my queen.”
You gasp at his desperate words as he moves your hands away and lines up his cock with your entrance, slamming your hips down to take him in the space of one heartbeat. You were not as wet or prepared as he usually took care to take you, but both of you groan as he slots in to the hilt, and you throw your head back, a broken groan escaping your throat. The pain is surged with pleasure, and you rock eagerly against his pelvis. The friction sends a shiver down your spine, and you close your eyes.
Steve’s hands move from your thighs to gripping your hips. You lean back just enough to plant your hands on his sturdy thighs, as he drives your hips back and forth with more vigor. The grind as his cock shifts it angle inside your pussy has you panting quickly. He squeezes your hips. “Just like that, my love, take your pleasure, let me give you what you need.”
Your movement grows more frenzied, and you whimper, not quite able to achieve the release you crave. But he knows this, has made a study of your body since your wedding night, and he knows you need more. One of his hands moves up to palm your breast, while his other hand moves to your core, and his thumb quests for your clit, applying tight, insistent circles to the pulsing nub. The waves of pleasure build even more quickly now, and when your fingers curl against his thighs, he tweaks your nipple, pinching, and it pushes you over the edge. You cry out, and every muscle in your body seizes to absorb the ecstasy of your orgasm.
Steve smooths his hands up and down your sides, then moves them around to the small of your back and coaxes your body back down to his chest, his cock still inside of you. He presses kisses along your collar bone, up the column of your neck, and along your jaw, letting you catch your breath. His hands continue their sensual and soothing movements over the expanse of your back, and he cradles your shoulders in his hands when you finally adjust your head to meet his lips once more with your own.
When you suck on his bottom lip, his cock twitches inside of you, and you let out a shaky breath.
“Can I have more?” he murmurs against your lips.
You manage to nod and mewl in assent, rocking where you’re still joined together.
Using his gentle strength, Steve rolls you beneath him, keeping you on the plush velvet of his cloak, settling in the home he loves between your thighs. He cups the side of your face in his hands, and his kiss now demands, belying his eagerness. Though his lips move against yours, tongue licking into your mouth, entangling with yours, kissing, kissing, kissing until neither of you can breathe anymore, when he draws away, your mouth chases his. He grins, and his eyes dance with satisfaction as he presses his forehead to yours.
You’re his, you have been his, but the way he reverently gazes at you as he trails his hand down your neck, over your chest, cresting over your breast, down your ribcage, circling over your hip, and then coming to rest over your stomach, it’s filled with a fervent fire. His hand splays out fully over your womb, and he slowly draws his cock out halfway before giving an even slower thrust back in, clearly wanting you to feel every inch of his thick member and the action has him groaning and you keening beneath him.
“I’m going to fill this womb with my seed,” he vows with another thrust. “Going to keep you full as often as I can.”
“Please,” you beg.
He has never been shy with you, but neither spoken so directly of the physical or biological in your intimate moments as he has tonight, and it adds a new level of pleasure to the experience that fuels a primal part in your core. You thread your fingers in his hair and tug urgently as his thrusts begin to pick up speed. His kisses turn fierce bruising, and you welcome it. But when he can’t seem to keep kissing and breathing and thrusting inside you, he abandons your lips and buries his face in your neck, grunting as he presses on and on. The angle of his pelvis drags just perfectly across your clit as he adjusts and speeds up. Your walls flutter around him, and he rasps, “Go on, give me one more before I fill you up, my love.”
And his rough thrusts laced with his tender words, the way he grasps at your hip, his belabored breathing at your neck, it all overwhelms, and you release a debauched, shuddering moan when your second orgasm washes over you. Steve does not relent, and follows you over the edge with only a few more thrusts, the way your channel squeezes his cock giving him the final push, and he groans, satisfied, as he empties his hot spend inside of you. You don’t scratch, but you draw your fingers forcefully down his back, wanting to feel the tautness of his muscles. You knead his ass, holding him joined into you as he ruts slowly against you, wanting to deposit every last drop your insides milk from him in the aftershocks.
You feel deliciously spent and welcome his weight as he relaxes his body on top of you. He lays his head on your chest, and you hum and press a kiss to the top of his head, drawing your fingers back up to lightly stroke his hair, his shoulders. He caresses your sides, your legs where they are still wrapped around him, anywhere his fingers can reach, but now it’s all languid and soothing touches between you. The weight of him is so grounding in the afterglow, and it begins to lull you to sleep.
You are vaguely aware as somewhat later Steve lifts you up from the ground to carry you in his arms back to the castle. Your body was sated, and your mind as well. You have more to share with Steve soon. You should have had your monthly bleeding last week, and so the possibility that you were already with child before tonight was a very real prospect. Tonight served to quell any doubts you may have had about the prospect of you two becoming parents – that he wanted it, and so did you, and that you were both ready to pursue that journey – but you would wait a few more weeks to ensure it wasn’t a fluke before you told Steve.
And in the meantime, you knew there would continue to be more pleasurable opportunities to put a babe inside you if there wasn’t one already.
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS NEW PIECE OF THEIR STORY!

quiet nights- hwang hyunjin x reader
a/n: i am sorry this was completely self indulgent :( ik i have requests rn but like… i finished all my work and im just laying down next to my mom watching hyunjins vlogs on the tv so this is FOR ME :(( your girl has been a little tired lately and mentally stressed i usually don’t even write or take requests for skz anymore but……………. omg what’s that behind you???!!!?
warnings- none, fluff, they just talk in the hotel room. not proof read.
wc- 400-500
MASTERLIST
curling up beside your cool hotel pillows was the standard while traveling. you didn’t expect your boyfriend to get back to the hotel room until later tonight. hyunjin was a busy man and his errands for this trip were later than your errands. your errands finished when his started, so needless to say you really missed him.
you fumbled around trying to get comfortable in the dim hotel room, you had all the lights off and you could see the city lights from the open curtains.
since the room was so high up you felt comfortable leaving them open, there was no balcony or any openings so you could enjoy truly enjoy the view of the bustling city.
you sat up and took a seat by the window, taking the throw blanket you and hyunjin bought from your last trip with you.
it was amazing to you that there was so many people living so many different lives, so many lights to signify different things. before you knew it you had grabbed the sketchbook and charcoal out of your bag. hyunjin had bought you and him art supplies while you were out earlier.
you started to sketch out the city in front of you, so focused on the scene. you wanted to challenge yourself to not try and erase or clean up your lines unless it was with the medium.
your brows furrowed and you started to get in your head, not even realizing your boyfriend was back in the hotel room. hyunjin thought you were asleep so he set down the bags of surprises quietly. when he walked further into the hotel room he saw you sitting by the window with the sketchpad in front of you. smiling to himself he watched you for a bit, changing from his outdoor clothes to indoor.
once he was done he went up to you and put his hand on your shoulder, the thin piece of charcoal snapped and you looked up at him.
“you scared me.” you felt yourself laugh a little before smiling up at him. hyunjin looked down at you, his smile never leaving his face.
“i’m sorry, my intended…” he mumbled and leaned down to kiss you.
you smiled into the kiss and set the art stuff down on the small table.
“let’s get your hands cleaned up and then we can head to bed alright? it’s late…” hyunjin caressed your face and kissed your forehead. you nodded and you both walked to the bathroom.
he helped you wash the charcoal off your hands as he told you about his day, “then this lady complimented my jewelry and i found out she was some like high political power that i didn’t even know!” hyunjin whispered through giggles.
“when did you find out?” you asked, giggling aswell, your boyfriend always found himself in weird positions like this.
hyunjin started laughing again, “literally four people came up to me and were like, ‘do you know who that is?’ and obviously i was like ‘nooooo what?’”
that sounded like something he would do and you could so clearly imagine it, “how does this keep happening to you?”
he dried off your hands and kissed your palms, “i don’t know my love! people just talk to me i guess. i don’t even know what they’re saying half the time.”
you started to giggle again and you guys walked over to the bed and got in. it was finally comfortable to you with your boyfriend next to you.
“so tell me about your day?” he laid on his side facing you, tracing your hands with his fingertips, “i had to leave when you got back so i didn’t get to ask…”
“it was busy, i had to talk to a lot of people too, not political powers though.” you teased him, he threw his head back and laughed.
“but it was good, i walked around a bit when you left, picked up a couple things for us too. there’s leftovers in the small fridge.” you spoke softly. hyunjin nodded and scooted closer to you, you could tell he was getting tired. sleep finally knocking on his door.
“i found… i found a nice cafe…” he yawned and pulled you closer to him, “healthy food… nice breakfast…” hyunjin started to shut his eyes.
you relaxed in his arms and started to place with the ends of his hair, “want to go there for breakfast tomorrow?”
he nodded, “then a museum…”
“then a museum…” you repeated and smiled to yourself, sleep starting to come for you too, “we better get rest then…”
hyunjin nodded into your neck, “mhm….” humming.
“i love you..” you whispered, your hand moving back and forth on his back.
“i love you most..”

Don’t Forget Me II
I was not planning on writing another part, but I couldn’t help myself
Warning: Language (?)
Treech x Reader
Word Count: 1.8k
series masterlist | <- Prev Next -> |
After the mayor finishes his speech, it only takes seconds before Peacekeepers grab you. They rip you and Treech apart, ignoring your shouts of protest. Treech tries to reach for your hand again, but the Peacekeepers yank him back, nearly knocking him over.
The soldiers marched you to the train station towards an old cargo car locked with a heavy padlock. As you stood in front of the train car, you nearly gagged. The stench was overwhelming. The cart smelled rotted and thick with manure. You doubt they’d even bothered to clean it. You desperately didn’t want to get in, but you had no choice.
One of the Peacekeepers took out a set of keys to unlock the train, and the rest started shoving you in. Treech acted quickly, lugging himself in and stretching his arm out to help you up. But it must’ve taken too long because a peacekeeper grabbed you by the back of the neck and tossed you onto the train. You barely managed to catch yourself.
Treech rushed to your side, pulling you up off the ground. “Are you alright? Did they hurt you?” he questioned as he cupped your face, eyes scanning you for injuries.
“I’m fine, just tired of being treated like a sack of flour.” You chuckled bitterly while rubbing your neck.
District Seven was one of the last districts to get picked up, so you didn’t have to spend nearly as long on the train as other districts. A thought that filled you with relief when you felt something crawling near your feet. You could vaguely see the outlines of the other tributes. Though none of them made much noise. You could almost believe you were alone.
As the train chugged along, you and Treech shuffled over to an empty corner, trying to get comfortable. He grabs your hand and plays with it gently, his fingers interlocking with yours. Something about the action brings tears to your eyes. You never considered your hands pretty, filled with callouses from hours of demanding work, but by the way, he holds them, they might as well be made of porcelain.
When you first spoke to Treech, you’d quite literally fallen for him. Despite being in the same class, you’d never directly spoken. He was always surrounded by his friends, his laugh filling up the room (not that you were paying attention). You mostly kept to yourself. Honestly, you don’t know what made him approach you that day, but you’re so grateful he did.
✧⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧ ⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
“What are you doing?” a small voice exclaimed up at you.
You jumped at the sudden noise and slipped from the branch you were perched on. You weren’t very high up, but the impact left you gasping for breath.
As you lay on the ground, your vision was blurred, but you could make out a boy peering down at you. His eyes narrowed slightly in concern.
After you regained your bearings, you grumbled, “Well, before you interrupted me, I was drawing.”
“Oh…Sorry,” the boy chuckled awkwardly. He fidgeted slightly before asking, “Can I see your drawing? I’m Treech, by the way. We go to school together…In case you don’t know who I am.”
You wanted to roll your eyes. Of course, you knew who Treech was. You lived across from each other and were in the same class. You decided not to mention that, hoping to spare yourself the embarrassment of him not noticing.
“I know who you are, and no, you can’t see,” you respond before climbing back up the tree.
You were going to continue sketching until you noticed he was still standing there looking oddly dejected. A wave of guilt hits you when you realize you may have come off as rude.
“Hey, sorry... I didn’t mean it like that. I’ll show you when I’m done if you want to join me,” you say before patting the branch.
Treech perked up at that, beaming up at you. You decide he looks much nicer when smiling. He climbed up the tree, plopping himself next to you. Neither of you talked after that. You continued to sketch, and he sat with you, swinging his legs back and forth.
Soon enough, it became routine that whenever you went to the tree, he’d be there waiting for you. You started talking at school as well. Slowly, he became a constant presence in your life. Now, years later, you can confidently say he’s your best friend.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧ ⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
The sound of the whistleblowing snapped you back to the present. You must be arriving at a station. The train screeched as it came to a halt. From the outside, you could hear the chains rattling as they were unlocked. The doors slid open, and the District One tributes were staring back at you. In what felt like seconds, they were hastily thrown into the cart, and the door was locked once again.
The journey to the Capitol couldn’t have taken much longer, but it felt like an eternity in the damp train. Eventually, you heard the familiar whistle, and the train slowed to a stop. The tributes started shuffling, but the minutes passed, and nothing happened. At least another ten minutes must’ve passed before you heard banging against the doorframe. The door was wrenched open, and a peacekeeper shouted, “All right, you lot, let’s move!”
The sudden influx of light was nearly blinding. You had to take a moment to adjust. Treech is one step ahead of you, already jumping down before offering you his arms. You allow him to take you by the waist and swing you down to the pavement.
You were grateful for Treech’s quick reaction as you watched the Peacekeepers get rougher the longer it took the remaining tributes to crawl out. You take a moment to look around under different circumstances, you’d be gawking at the architecture, but that all feels insignificant now. While looking around, you see a boy dressed in red talking to one of the tributes. He looks too clean to be a tribute but too skinny to be a Peacekeeper.
You didn’t get much time to ponder who he was because Peacekeepers began herding you and the rest of the tributes across the station to the main entrance. Where a truck that looked more like a cage on wheels awaited you.
The tribute who is missing part of his arm, tried to make a run for it, but he didn’t even make a few feet before he was dragged back. You hopped onto the cramped van, and Treech immediately guided you into one of the last open seats before positioning himself next to you.
From the corner of your eye, you saw a flash of red jump moments before the doors closed. To your surprise, it was the boy from the train station. A thick tension settled over the truck as you all stared him down. He hunched over, realizing his precarious situation. You turned your head to meet Treech’s eyes. Both of you amused at the boy's obvious discomfort.
“What’s the matter, pretty boy? You in the wrong cage?” said the boy from District 11 Reaper, if you remember correctly. How ironic, you can’t help but think.
You missed what the Capitol boy said, but it must've been something insulting because, in the blink of an eye, Reaper’s hands encircled the boy's throat and slammed him back. Reaper’s forearms pinned the other boy’s body against the bars. Trying to keep himself from being killed, the Capitol boy drove his knee up hard into Reaper’s crotch. You wanted to laugh, but you doubt that would’ve been received well.
He might kill you now.” The girl from District 11 coughed out. “He killed a Peacekeeper back in Eleven. They never found out who did it.”
“Shut it, Dill,” the boy growled.
“Who cares now?” said the girl fro—Dill.
“Let’s all kill him,” said another voice, “Can’t do nothing worse to us.”
You wouldn’t consider yourself bloodthirsty, but a part of you agreed, besides the Capitol boy brought it on himself. Several other tributes also murmured in agreement and took a step in. The way the boy went rigid with fear almost made you pity him.
Before anyone could do anything, the rainbow girl spoke up. “Not to us, maybe. You got family back home? Someone they could punish there?”
With that, all the anger was sucked out of you, replaced with a gaping hopelessness. The girl then stood up and wriggled through to place herself between all of you and the Capitol boy.
“Besides,” she said, “he’s my mentor. Supposed to help me. I might need him.”
“How come you get a mender?” Snapped a girl with short red hair. Glaring daggers into the Capitol boy. You couldn’t help but agree. Why did she get extra help?
“Mentor. You each get one,” he corrected.
“Where are they, then?” The redhead challenged. “Why didn’t they come?”
“Just not inspired, I guess,” the rainbow girl replied before winking at her mentor.
You turned to Treech again and dramatically rolled your eyes. The small smile that graced his face filled your chest with warmth. Sometimes, you wished he wasn’t so good-looking. You hated that one smile was all it took to make butterflies swarm your stomach.
The conversation lulled, and silence filled the truck as it drove down the winding roads. Suddenly, the truck lurched to a stop, jerking all of you forward. At that moment you were grateful you had nothing in your stomach because you’d surely have thrown it up.
A Peacekeeper came and opened the back door to the truck, but before anyone could climb out, the cage tipped and dumped you onto a slab of cold, damp cement. Not a slab, actually more like a chute, it was tilted at such an extreme angle that all of you began to slide immediately. You all traveled a good twenty feet before landing in a jumbled heap on the floor.
You gingerly untangled from the others before making your way over to Treech. Cringing at the groans from the tributes you accidentally crawled on top of.
You brushed his hair back and readjusted his hat, “Treech,” you whispered, “Are you okay?”
“I’m okay, don't worry” he responded as he pulled you into his arms. You allow yourself to relax, nuzzling into his shoulder. Trying to calm down from the chaos of the day.
It isn’t until you hear a small giggle that you turn around and see two young girls pointing at the two of you. They watch you through metal bars, gawking. You pull away slightly, feeling oddly self-conscious. Treech seems to notice as well, looking equally uncomfortable.
Confused, you start to scan the area. Metal bars enclose you. To your left, there is a cluster of thin trees, and rocky sand lines the ground. Suddenly a nauseating realization hits you.
They’d put you in a fucking zoo.

Chapter 6:
Whiskey Rose
Layla put her hands on her hips as she paced back and forth on the rooftop.
"There is just no way they haven't figured it out at this point. No absolute damn way!"
Taweret sighed, her hands clasped in front of her as she refrained from smiling at Layla's frustration.
"Well, dear, we both know how--ehm--daft those boys can be, at times... It doesn't surprise me that they haven't noticed their soulmate has been living down the street from them for ages..." She said.
"Ugh!" The woman said, ruffling her hands in her curly hair. "I know that! But her? How could she possibly be so blind? She's smart! Did they not even notice that she just happens to have vegan-friendly items on the menu? Marc's favorite coffee? Steven's favorite tea?!"
Layla tossed her hands up in the air, sighing. "This is ridiculous! It could all be a coincidence, sure! But her hand! Her hand, Taweret!"
Layla grabbed the same hand that you had burned, the same hand Marc felt pain in the day you said it happened. "No way is it a coincidence on that!"
"Well yes, of course, there is that..." The goddess smiled finally, her tone even and soft so she could soothe her frustrated Avatar.
"But you can't always force soulmates to realize these things. They just have to happen naturally. Maybe because they haven't realized it yet means that they're not ready to realize it yet?"
Layla stopped in her tracks and squinted up at her.
"You said you were going to help me on this."
"I am."
"You're literally contradicting that promise by basically saying it's "not their time, yet"."
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. I could just be helping in a different way."
Layla made a frustrated laugh and rubbed at her temples. "Why are Egyptian gods like this?!"
"Part of our charm, I s'pose, dear." Taweret giggled.
"Okay, okay, fine. I'll drop it for now." Layla sighed, looking up at her with a tired smile.
"But you're not off the hook for this." She warned playfully.
"Oh, but of course, my dear!" Taweret replied, her hand over her heart in a dramatic gesture. "I would never break a promise to you!"
Layla shook her head and snorted in an effort to keep down the fit of laughter that wanted to escape. She lifted her gaze and looked out on the cityscape of London, the grimy dirty streets that were teeming with life.
But also teeming with crime and cruelty. It was like lifting a rotted log; look in the right place and criminals will scatter like bugs beneath the surface.
"...I wish they boys could talk with Khonshu like I do with you. Their lives would be so much easier." She murmured, crossing her arms.
"I know, darling." Taweret sighed softly, her ears flattening in distress. "That old codger! He's so... so rough with them! I would hate to see how poor Steven gets spoken to. He's such a sweetheart!"
"Oh, trust me... Steven, when he wants to be, can be very, very, very sassy." Layla smirked playfully up at her. "From what Marc has told me, he can give as good as he can take verbally, especially to Khonshu."
"Oh? But Steven is such a doll! It's hard to imagine him saying such things." Taweret gasped in surprise. "I would love to see it if he ever does snap at the old bird, though!"
"Oh, definitely. Next time it happens? I'm having Marc spill everything. Or Steven. Whichever feels like talking."
"Oh, I'd rather be a fly on the wall next time it happens!" Taweret giggled, rocking on her heels.
She had such a cute appearance and personality, despite being a large gal, her little physical tics just served to endear her to Layla even more. She was so sweet; the only thing she was missing were tiny little glasses at the end of her muzzle and a little bonnet to complete the look of an adorable cartoon animal mum or grandmum.
"Ugh, so do I!" Layla laughed along with her, laughter finally tumbling out from where she kept it held in.
The two laugh amongst one another for a moment, until their levity dies down. After a pregnant pause, Layla looked back up at Taweret and sighed deeply.
"Well... Should you do the honors?" She asked. "But... Let's keep our suspicions about her a secret from him. Last thing we need is the old bastard using her as a bargaining chip with the boys like he tried to do with me."
"Of course." The goddess replied, giving a curt nod of her head.
She lowered her head and closed her eyes, her hands clasping in front of her once again.
When her eyes reopened, they were glowing with a soft golden light, her ears flicking about.
The moment stretched on for what felt like an uncomfortable length of time. She finally blinked and the light went away from her eyes.
She looked back at Layla and let her gaze. "He should be here momentarily. Though, I will warn you he is very cross you "took" the boys from him for the night."
"Oh, please! They need sleep! They can't go out every night and do his dirty work for him and he just expects them not to suffer from sleep deprivation!" Layla scoffed.
"I know, but he seems more angry that it wasn't brought to his attention first..."
"If that old bastard has a problem with it, he can--"
"I can what, Layla el Faouly?" Khonshu's gravelly voice rumbled out, a chill sweeping through her body.
Layla frowned and glared at him where he sat, perched on the edge of the roof, his staff resting casually against his shoulder.
"You can shove it and go get your kicks somewhere that isn't at my ex-husband and his alters' expense! Or better yet I can kick your ass!"
"I'd like to see you try, little bug." Khonshu sneered.
She knew he couldn't emote, with that stupid, dessicated skull that hovered in place of his head. But she could feel the condescending expression he surely would be fixing her with just by his tone of voice as well.
And boy, did it piss her off.
"Oh yeah? Why don't you keep trying that shit with me. I'm not Marc, or Jake, or even Steven. I will fight your bony, mummified ass!"
Khonshu stood, taking lumbering steps towards her.
"You insolent little worm. I will--"
"Do nothing. Layla is my Avatar, Khonshu." Taweret said, her tone unusually hard as she stepped between Layla and Khonshu.
Her motherly role decided to come out. And nothing was scarier in the animal kingdom, logically, than a pissed off hippo.
Let alone a pissed off hippo goddess who happened to be one of motherhood.
"You will not lay a finger on her. You are still in deep trouble with the Ennead for the stunt you pulled with the night sky, and having Jake kill Ammit and Harrow. Do you really want to push your luck by attacking another god's Avatar because you can't take a few quips?" Her eyes narrowed dangerously, a sharp glint to the normally kind and warm depths.
Khonshu leaned back a bit, turning his head with a scoff, rolling his shoulders.
"Fine. Now, tell me why you have taken my Fist from me this night. Tell me why you two kept them from performing justice on those who have harmed the innocents under my protection."
Layla had to physically bite her tongue to call him out on his hypocrisy.
"Because, Layla and I agreed we would arrange a deal with you. Whilst Layla is here in London, she will handle the dispatching of justice on those you deem need it." Taweret huffed.
"The boys need rest. You are overworking your Avatar to a dangerous degree. Lack of sleep can and will kill. Then what would you do? You can't exactly serve justice without your Moon Knight. And the time you spend looking for another deserving of the title, too many evildoers will slip through your net, yes?"
Khonshu stamped his staff on the rooftop, not speaking.
Layla smirked.
'You go, Hippo-Mama.' She thought. 'Tell that bastard what-for.'
"But you will understand that Layla will only kill if she absolutely has to. If it is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, she will leave those individuals for the authorities, understand?" She jabbed an authoritative finger at him.
Khonshu was silent for a long moment, his grip tightening on the bleached wood of his staff.
"...Very well. I agree to your terms. I will let Marc and the other two rest. For now."
"Now that all the unpleasantness is out of the way..." Taweret rubbed her hands together as she spoke. "Who do you want Layla to go after, first?"
"There are individuals tied to the trafficking group that Jake Lockley eliminated not too long ago. They will be what you start off with. They have already moved on to other groups and are already stalking their next kidnappees." Khonshu grunted.
"I want you to stop them before they move. Start at the Avernice Packing Plant. It is a front."
"Human trafficking, eh?" Layla sighed. "Disgusting. I'll help, like we promised."
"Yes, you will." Khonshu growled.
He stomped his staff twice and disappeared in a puff of mist.
Layla cracked her knuckles, "Well, let's get this done."
"Oooh, of course! You go get em, babygirl!" Taweret said, pumping her fists in encouragement.
Layla turned and stepped to the edge of the roof. Shrugging her shoulder softly, a golden and bejeweled helmet slid in place, her hair tucked safely away inside.
"Let's go save those people."
She threw out her arms, her gleaming golden wings slinging out from her sides as she leapt off the rooftop.
🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒
For the next few days, Layla would come to visit you, chatting you up and listening to you talk. You had the feeling that something was bothering her, but you didn't want to pry. It seemed to be weighing on her a little bit.
Perhaps you'd ask about it. Later
Today, on the other hand, Layla was already there, perusing your stock for any more books she may have been missing. You were happy you had already set the kettle to boil and had the coffee freshly brewed before she arrived.
You'd given her a polite smile as you passed, carefully balancing the tray of tarts you had finished, and Layla gave you a small wave and smile in return, plucking a book off the shelf in front of her.
What you didn't expect however, was to spot a man in one of your nooks.
He sat like a dark shadow being cast; a golf cap hanging low over his forehead, raven hair slicked back beneath, a dark leather jacket and worn leather gloves made up most of his attire as he sat with his fists balled on the table, watching people walk past the windows of your shop.
Like Marc, he looked a dead ringer for Steven. But unlike Marc and Steven, this man looked absolutely miffed about something as he sat in quiet thought.
This must be the third brother. Jack, or something like that? Marc had told you about him but his name slipped your mind. He mentioned they were triplets or something like that, so... maybe...
He had dark bags under his eyes, making him look exhausted and... well... pissed about something.
You decide to forgo your usual greeting and leave the man to himself, carefully slipping the fresh treats into the display case.
Then, you turn and walk over to the counter that held the mini fridge, coffee machines, and tea kettles along with all the proper dishes you'd need to serve such things you had on your menu.
You grab the pot from the coffee machine and pour the bitter black brew into a freshly cleaned mug.
Something tells you to skip the sugar and cream, leaving it black.
You take a half a step before looking at the small drawer beneath the checkout counter.
You decided to add something after all.
🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒🌒
Jake sat, glaring out at the passerbys as they went about their daily lives, never the wiser about the evil creatures that walked amongst them.
The monsters that were laying in wait to pounce like a predator on their prey the moment the sun went down. The very monsters that he wanted to protect everyone from.
The very monsters Khonshu gave him bidding to hunt each night.
Except he hasn't been hunting them all night. Not as often as before. Not since Layla decided to come to London and stay for a while, taking the load off their shoulders a bit.
Jake knew Khonshu was pissed that he and the other two gave in to Layla and Taweret's urging that they rest. As much as he hated passing the reins off, as much as he hated not doing his duty, he relented. They were indeed overworked and exhausted.
It wasn't easy to go against Khonshu's will, let alone without warning him first.
But Marc and Steven welcomed the rest, even if they weren't precisely well-rested. The nights they were used to prowling the streets, they couldn't help but wander the flat. Steven would clean, or cook new things, Marc would watch recorded sports events, and Jake would sit in the recliner by the window and knit. He decided on making something for Layla, as a bit of a thanks.
He knew she didn't trust him still, not very much anyways, but she deserved to be rewarded for her hard work covering for them and trying to help. Maybe he could even knit something for Taweret...
However, their respite didn't last long. The three of them were in agreement that they didn't want Layla to bear the burdens of dispensing Khonshu's justice alone. That while her intentions were noble, she simply couldn't do it alone. She wasn't used to it like they were, and the short time she was doing it, the strain was already taking a toll on her.
So, the past few nights they'd all been up well into the wee hours, hunting criminals, fighting and defeating them together.
Jake was a bit overbearing at times, but it was only because he didn't want Layla to get hurt. Even before Marc or Steven or even Layla were aware of him, he did what he had to do to protect them. To protect her.
Like killing Harrow and Ammit.
She just didn't fully understand that he wasn't cruel, or callous. He simply knew what--
His thoughts were cut off when a mug was placed in front of him, the steaming dark contents waiting up into his nose.
He lifted his gaze to meet yours, and your sheepish smile.
"Uhm... Sorry to interrupt you. But uh. Here..?" You said to him a bit nervously.
"...Thanks." Jake muttered, taking the mug, feeling the warmth seep through his gloves.
"So, uh... You're... Er..." You tried, your expression twisting slightly.
John? Jack? Joe?
"...Jake?"
He nodded, looking back up at you, raising a dark brow in curiosity.
"Sí, I am." He told you.
You couldn't help but grin.
"So we have the Brit, the American, and the... Spaniard?" You tried to joke.
He laughed tightly, almost like dry leaves blowing in the wind. A bit chilly, but not entirely devoid of humor.
"Something like that." He said, tipping the mug to his lips. He was impressed. Most people tended to put cream, milk, or sugar in it despite his wishes. Insisting he needed flavor. It looked like you left it entirely black, for him.
Only... You didn't. He could taste it.
He pulled the mug away, looking down at the coffee and back up at you.
"...Did you put whiskey in this?"
"Well... Um. Yeah... I keep a flask under the counter for... uhhhhh... emergency... purposes..?" You saif, your sheepish smile returning.
It looked cute on you.
Jake blinked at you in shock. He reached into his pocket and fished out an old, beat up and tarnished flask.
"I... was actually going to add some of my own." He replied.
"You kinda looked like you needed it..."
Jake stared at you in shock for another moment more, his jaw clenched not in irritation at your assumption, but in an effort to keep it from dropping.
'...I think I'm in love with this woman.'
"So, um. Welcome to my shop..." You tell him, introducing yourself and the name of your store.
He repeated your name under his breath, finding that it blended well with the taste of the smokey honey whiskey and coffee he'd just sipped.
"It's nice to meet you. My... Brothers and Layla have told me about you. I'm Jake. Jake Lockley." He offered you a hand to shake in polite greeting.
After you pulled away, you noticed his sleeve ride up a bit on his wrist and spot the edges of a tattoo? Or maybe... a mark?
It wasn't any of your business... You only just met the man, after all. You pushed your curiosity aside.
"It's nice to meet you too, uh, Mister Lockley." You replied curtly.
"Ah, just Jake. Please, señorita. "Mister" just sounds awkward and too formal." He chuckled.
You giggled softly, "Er... Yeah. Sorry about that. So uhm. Are you looking for anything in particular today? Or did Layla drag you along?"
Were you... teasing him? He couldn't tell.
It takes him a moment for him to come up with something. Deciding to ignore how you might look at him, he goes for it anyway.
"I was looking into making a gift for someone." Jake said to you.
"Oh? You're looking for craft books then? Something specific?" You chirped, your eyebrows raising.
"Eh... Knitting, if you can believe that. I'm looking for patterns I haven't tried before, and I hate looking them up online. Because at the start of those stupid articles..."
"Someone writes a ten page essay about their god-forsaken childhood?" You finished with a smirk.
"Exactly." Jake grinned at you, flashing his white teeth.
"Well, I actually don't know if I have anything on knitting in particular, but I can check for you."
"Ah, gracias señorita."
It wasn't until you walked away, that he realized Layla was looking at him, a wide, shit-eating grin on her face.
His expression immediately soured as he sipped at his spiked coffee.
"What're you looking at?"
"Nothing." She hummed, opening her book to flip the pages innocently.
"I see you're reading another one of your bodice-rippers." He sneered softly, jabbing at her preferred genre of romance.
"And I see you were gawking at the store clerk." She shoots back, not looking up from her book.
"Maldita mujer tonta! I was not!" He hissed, careful not to slam the mug down too harshly.
He feels a presence envelope him, a pressing feeling like someone just sat on either side of him.
Marc's voice comes from within.
(Jake. We heard you.)

Ah, AUs, my throne, my demise. Is there some that I've never talked about on here (tumblr)? Yes, basically, any established AUs before tumblr are the ones I haven't had the chance to talk about. Most of them actually come with their own fics, so if you are interested to know more:
The Case of Time and Misfit Children: Immortal Dream with characters from Tales, basically Dream goes around and adopt the children from different Tales. When asked, blame Karl. This is a discord based AU when I used to brainstorm extensively and write extensively. Haha, odd that it was easier back then.
疑心暗鬼 (Jumping at shadow): A swapped AU with Dream and Ranboo. It is a self containedAU and completed! Basically, Dream is your sweet summer child and Ranboo has his sarcasm dialed to the max.
In which Syndicate is a Club: This one is a mafia/club AU with syndicate being something akin to a speakeasy ft Techno as the head of Syndicate and Dream is the singer/spy. There are a lot of potential for this one and when I have time, I really want to explore this one further.
Dream SMP but they are all cats and Dream is the tired cat owner: In which I turned most of Dream SMP cast into cat and Dream a crazy cat lady. Again, a self contained AU and mostly for the funsies.
As of the ones that have never been spoken/established anywhere and basically have been living rent free in my brain:
rplace inspired cyberpunk AU: There is exactly one art that depict this idea but nothing more. I planned to have Dream as an 'unknown virus' while Techno is an antivirus. Dream looked up to Techno and inspired to be an antivirus as well but his method is more unconventional. Techno spent a lot of time hunting down the rogue virus while Dream just wants to know why he existed.
royalty farfadream: This is a brainworm that lives rent free. Sometimes I get sparks of inspiration for this AU and I don't even know why. I haven't sketched out anything for this yet but basically, Farfa conquered the kingdom Dream is in and married Dream. It is a pot of miscommunication and angst as Dream plotted his escape after giving Farfa his heirs without knowing that Farfa actually did genuinely love him.
Also, there is an AU attached with the newest rival art and I am plotting out the story in the menatime so yeah, we shall see which roulette my brain decides to partake in in any given time.
#rainyaskbox#farfadream#rivalsduo#this are just the AUs I have never talked about#oh god#I am doomed

Sooo I watch Transformers : One andddd I loved it
And I know that the background is trash and am sorry I can’t do backgrounds for the life of me, at least not goodly. And I was going to add D-16 but I got tired and I also think I would not do him justice but I did do a sketch of of him with Bee.
This took me about 2 hours and 52 minutes and had a sweet time, watch Transformers One, great movie, go and see it so we could get the sequel that it deserves.

Minish AU - Sketch dump 4
Aaaand I came up with a few more ideas about the minish au. So maybe stick around for me rambling a little bit here and there or just to look at the sketches. Whatever you guys like the most.
We start with Y/N sharing some old Minish legends about a brave young hero in a green tunic defeating an evil sorcerer.
Honestly, I am kind of playing with the thought that what happened in the Minish Cap game is a part of the past in this au. That while maybe humans forgot most of the story that happened back then the Minish kept telling it from generation to generation. Some informations still might have got lost with time. Like the place where castle Hyrule was located. Or the true name of the sorcerer and his origin. So my silly little mind went to: What if instead of the old hidden pizzeria under the Pizzaplex there was the remains of Castle Hyrule? Or the old pizzeria is still there but if you go down even deeper you would find the ruins of the castle? And with it the sealed Sorcerer of the Wind? It's some fun little thing to wrap one's mind around.
Also Sun and Moon are not really believing those legends but do find them entertaining and do encourage Y/N to share these stories with them so they can tell them to the children at the daycare during story times.
_
Also! Let's talk about Kinstone Pieces! Because after living for a while at the Pizzaplex Y/N definitly decided to create a few of those! Wanting to spread a bit of joy and good luck.
They started to hide the finished pieces mostly at the playground of daycare for the children. Hiding them at some obvious places, like the shoes of a child, and some not so obvious places - behind some stuffed toys - while making sure all of them would be easy to reach and not endanger someone.
Also they did 'hide' a special Kinstone Piece for their friends. Which Sun found during cleaning time when putting away the scattered stuffed plushies.
Sun: "Oh? What's this here? A gift from you, my friend?" Y/N: "You found it, Sunny! It's a Kinstone Piece! If you put together two matching pieces it creates good luck!" Sun: "Good luck you say? So it's like a little charm? How lovely."
I would like to think that the pieces that Y/N created for Sun and Moon are multi-colored. Having a yellow and blue side which is rather unusual for Kinstones, but during their creation it just striked Y/N as fitting to use two different colors for this one Kinstone.
I was also playing around with the thought if this au would ever go the story route of the events leading to the ruin DLC and DLC itself what if instead of having to reboot Sun and Moon, Y/N or maybe with the help of Cassie would need to put the two Kinstone pieces together to cause said 'good luck' to spring into action? (Or maybe it would be a mix of needing to join the two pieces and also to do the reboot.)
-
Also... have Vanessa coming into the daycare during her shift and startling Moon or Sun causing the two to swiftly grab their little friend and hide them behind their back.
Vanessa: "What are you hiding behind your back?" Moon: "Dead mouse. Want to see?" Vanessa: "Urgh. No! Why would you even think-..." *takes a deep breath* "You know what? Throw the thing away and clean your hands." Vanessa: *mumbling to herself while leaving* "They don't pay me enough for this... "
And Sun edition:
Vanessa: "Sun have you seen anyone or anything suspicious lately?" Sun: "Oh! H-hello friend! I haven't seen you coming in! How is your day so far? I hope it's faztastic! We surely had a lot of fun today in the daycare! So many things to do. Playing with the little ones and-" Vanessa: "Sun. I asked you a question." Sun: "Haha, right, right. You did. Sorry, but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Not at all! Everything was splendid over here. No incidents or mishaps. Just a perfectly normal day!" *Vanessa looking sceptical at him, because of how Sun acts* *but also too tired to deal with any possible bullshit* Vanessa: "... I better not find out that you or Moon are hoarding glitter glue to pour it over Monty... again. Parts and Services needed a whole week to get all that stuff cleaned up." Sun: "Oh, hahaha, nonono. Of course not. We absolutely wouldn't do that again. We know our little prank had gone too far." Vanessa: "Hmph... fine. But remember. If you see anything odd let me know." Sun: "Sure! I will keep my eyes wide open! Have a nice day."
Luckily, no human had found Y/N so far. But it was a close call with Vanessa snooping around.

Could you do a oneshot where the reader gets chased by the Hyde through the woods (doesn't really see what it was). She runs into Xavier and he makes fun of her about the "moster in the woods" but when he sees how freaked out she is he gets her somewhere safe and comforts her? Maybe Rivals to lovers or friends to lovers? Thank youuu! I'm obsessed with your Xavier stories! He's so in character xx
thank you so much!
OH, YOU'RE SERIOUS?!
Pairings: Xavier Thorpe x Fem!reader Summary: ^^^ Warnings: none Notes: I'm sorry for not getting to Requests sooner, there are so many, also apparently some of them aren't appearing that people have submitted, so I am sorry for that!
you ran past the trees and jumping over the logs and rocks on the ground as you fled the forest, trying to escape the huge lanky monster.
you didn't have enough air in your lungs to scream for help as you ran as fast as you could.
you tripped on a rock and fell down as you got to a shed on the edge of the woods.
you quickly pulled yourself up from the dirt and hurried around the shed where you your head collided with a chest, you backed up startled in fear and sighed
"Xavier!" you yelled
"hey, what's wrong?" he asked, seeing your sweaty, tired and tense state
you heard a noise behind you and your head snapped in the direction. seeing a rabbit come out of the bushes, you looked around your surroundings and began tearing up, freaked out.
"hey, hey, hey, tell me what's wrong, why are you sweating?"
"big, tall- skinny, huge-" you stuttered
"me?" he joked
"monster, in there, chased me" you panted as you pointed to where you came from
"A monster? in the woods" he chuckled "did Ajax get you high?"
"I don't do drugs, there- it chased me, it was right in front of me!" you pleaded for him to believe you.
you two were pretty close friends, so you thought you could trust him with things
"are you sure it wasn't a deer or something?" he questioned
"Xavier there was a fucking monster chasing me in the woods, I know what a deer looks like. I want to leave this place right now, it's not safe here and I'm really scared" you begged
"oh, you're being serious?"" his face fell as he saw the tears in your eyes and the way your body was shaking
he looked around and wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close as you shuddered
"come on. we'll stay here for a bit, in case it comes back." he lead you into his shed
Xavier didn't fully believe you, yes, he believed in monsters, how could he not? but he assumed you just got startled by something and started running, but something about the way you trembled and sobbed made him question his thought process.
he sat you down to comfort you, telling you it will be ok and that you were safe, even though he didn't fully know that.
he wasn't scared as much as he was worried. but definitely feared for your safety.
"what if it comes back?" your voice wobbled
"I don't want to find out, but if it does, I'll protect you" he spoke softly
"no, no. you wouldn't be able to do anything, it's massive, Xavier. it would be able to kill both of us at the same time" you panicked, remembering how close it got to catching you
"I don't care, it could have me as you run away, I'll distract it, I don't care, as long as you're safe. I. will. protect. you" he argued.
"but-"
"-no buts, ok? I love you and I won't let anything happen to you" he cut you off
your eyes widened as you looked at him in the eyes "you love me?"
"of course I do, now, describe it to me" he sat on a stool beside you and took his sketchpad and a pencil to start sketching
"it's a feeling you have for someone or something you care deeply about" you started to answer him
"I meant the monster, Sweetheart" he looked up at you with a smile
"oh- right sorry" you apologised sheepishly
"it's alright, we can do this later" he placed the book aside, moving closer to you
"you feeling any better?" he rubbed your back
you shook your head as you stared at him
"why not?" he muttered
"because I'm already freaking it out and you telling me you love me is freaking me out more" you exclaimed
"ok, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you" he held your hand
"it's not upsetting me it's freaking me out, you told me you love me!" you rushed
"alright. well I've been more focused on making sure you feel safe" he reasoned
"I do feel safe, I'm with you" you admitted, making him smile down at you
"that's good to hear" he chuckled
he pulled you closer to him, pulling you onto his lap and cradling you in his arms
"I won't let anything happen to you" he cooed as he kissed your forehead
------------------------------------------------
I was gonna make them kiss but then realised you don't have to kiss, you have the right to wait.

But also some news!
First of all, I wanted to remind you that my pricelist will be updated by the end of the week, so please feel free to message me if you want to take a slot to commission me with my current prices!
Second of all, we got our twitter account back! We ended up deleting that one post that twitter didn’t like (yes, the one that doesn’t have anything explicit or any nudity on it), which obviously sucks, but at least now we can jump back to posting more or less regularly.
And now that this situation is over, I can say about the thing that honestly tickled me: the last person who wrote a callout post on me right before our acc got locked (=the person who very likely caused the massreporting in the first place) got accused of grooming a 13 y.o. and had their account terminated the very next day. What a great illustration of how the fandom climate works, right? Hilarious.
Alright, replies replies. Some about Fellow and Gidel, some about Rook, Idia, a little bit of Lilia and some miscellaneous asks.
Anonymous asked:
wait, Fellow is it a good idea for Gidel to write?? Isn't he illiterate?? (I might be wrong on the writing part, but I'm pretty sure Gidel is said to be unable to speak because he didn't get an education :(, r.i.p to the poor boy)
But look at it, Anon! He clearly writes, and like a typical doctor as well! A highly educated man!
(Yeah, Gidel doesn’t know how to write lol I am not sure if Fellow is super literate either… just like the characters they are inspired by lol)
Anonymous asked:
I want to bite Idia’s thighs but I also want to nibble Lilia’s legs courtesy of your pic of him in those delicious Playful Land tights 😩
(this is about a sketch from ko-fi)
They really are nibbleable… nibbable… one would want to nib on them. And Lilia knows that :(
Thank you <3
irregardlessly-tish asked:
Since you started posting Fellow art I said to myself "I guess I'm watching that event now so I can look at the art and think yeah, he would totally get gang banged by them" lol
Tish! You’re great as always lol I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Fellow is so breedable it’s insane. I can’t help it.
unofficialwheatdog asked:
I'm gonna snatch Fellow away from everyone
Like that my husband, he fluffiness mine and mine alone
Mwah mwah to Fellow I wove him and the way you draw him
he's too good for them but ruined enough for me(lol me in my possessive era)
Omg real possessive era lol I get it, he really is fluffy to the point of leaving one speechless. But please understand, these boys can’t hold back at all… :( Be kinder them, they can’t help it!
I’m glad you love how I draw him <3
Anonymous asked:
Curious, u do non con/ rape art?
Pls tag if yes, I wanna see
I do, but I also don’t remember any recent noncon piece to tag anything lol I am definitely not opposed to it, and a lot of our nsfw pieces have at least dub-con vibes. I guess that one general!Lilia/Idia piece comes to mind first! And octopus!Azul/Idia that I drew for the same zine…
Maybe it would be easier to look through my pixiv logs; all the nsfw pieces are usually closer to the end of the log.
Anonymous asked:
You know I never had interest in drawing nsfw, I started a fanart blog with the intent of just making cute/cool sfw pieces maybe some ship stuff. However I am sick and tired of watching the twst fandom affect the mental health of my friends. And I know at least one of my ships will be threatened even if they just hold hands.
So here’s my plan: if I start receiving hate I will make an announcement: if I reach a particular milestone of hate I will learn to draw nsfw. I will make them kiss harder. Harass me and I will become worse.
Fr tho I want to be the brave idiot in the hope that others won’t feel alone.
Sorry for the late reply! Anon, you are already brave lol I like your plan. Become worse to spite them! And to support everyone who is harassed. And to have fun of course.
I wish you and your friends and anyone else didn’t have to worry about being harassed because of your ships. So please, take care of yourself, but also? Fuck them; draw and post whatever you want to make yourself and your friends happier and enjoy the fandom experience that you and your friends create.
Anonymous asked:
"something's missing..." might be your shirt rook, idk tho 🤔
(this is about this drawing)
Oh no, he forgot his shirt again. And no one at Savanaclaw is brave enough to tell him.
Anonymous asked:
I remember that Savannaclaw Rook only cut his hair with a knife, soooo, yeah. How do you think first year Rook would respond to first year Idia and vice versa?
Honestly it looks like it lol He and Lilia have something in common…
We love first year Rook with first year Idia so much, Anon, you have no idea! And Rook/Idia in general, this is one of the things that I really want to draw properly at least once. For now we only have sketches…
But to answer your question! I like to think that Rook was very intrigued by Idia right away; of course Idia isn’t a beastman, but he is not only super bright and shiny-looking (unusual! Interesting!), but also is a very rare pokemon to see. It’s very easy to picture Rook getting excited and charmed by him, maybe he even had a period of a little obsession~ But of course none of this is in any way returned by Idia; to him being suddenly surrounded by so many loud and annoying people his age is already stressful enough, but Rook is somehow worse than all of them combined. He hates everyone from Savanaclaw, but they’re usually just rude jerks, but Rook? If only he was a rude jerk…
Anonymous asked:
Chen’ya, are you flashing people on purpose? What are you gonna do if someone likes it?
(related to this post)
Knowing Che’nya, he’ll probably disappear lol Never let them guess your next move. They liked it? Too bad. They didn’t like it? Oh too bad… >:3
Sometimes he is in a flirty mood though~
Anonymous asked:
I’m surprised Lilia doesn’t also spank Idia to punish him
He really should, and his spanks wouldn’t be as murderous as Azul’s! Idia is going to receive punishment AND survive!
I can picture Lilia stopping mid-spank with the realisation though: oh right, this isn’t his kid, this is Idia…
Anonymous asked:
(tw: self-harm)
this might be a bit dark but i’m curious: do you think idia self-harms? every now and then, i see ppl draw him with SH scars. i’ve never been able to decide if it feels like him or not. punishing himself, hating himself, wanting to control this one aspect of his life bc he can’t control anything else sound like idia, but also, being too resigned, lazy, or phobic of pain also sound like idia… little nutjob he is 😒 thoughts?
This is such a good question, Anon. It’s honestly still kind of easy to imagine him doing that. He punishes himself constantly, and while I don’t think this is necessarily about control, this absolutely could be about wanting to make himself feel even worse or to distract himself from the other kind of deep pain he’s feeling. Since we’re talking about a character here, as an artist I can also add that seeing him this way could be aesthetically pleasing, there are some very good artworks with this theme.
That being said, we usually tend to think that Idia wouldn’t do that. I agree that Idia being phobic of pain sounds very like him, but also? He is very detached from the physical side of things in general, I think. He would rather torment himself mentally.
Another reason for Idia and selfharm not really working in our heads is that I don’t think Ortho would let him. He is very sensitive to changes in his health condition after all.

Forbidden (A SKZ Family Secret) Part 8 of 8
Read: Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 2.5 // Part 3 // Part 4 // Part 5 // Part 6 // Part 7 // Part 8
Fem reader // Han Jisung // female Aunty Lina (Lino) // Hyuna (Hyunjin) // Suengmin
You are the nanny/housekeeper for Han and Hyuna (Hyunjin), helping take care of their two sons and keeping daily life in order. But what happens when Han and his Sister-in-law Lina take an extra liking to you, and you are caught up in a secret that you never could have imagined?
Chapter Summary: We wrap this story up. A baby is born.
Writer's Note: I can't believe I am at the end of another story. In my head this one was more fleshed out and in depth but I didn't have the skills to really do it justice. I just hope your love of SKZ family and your imagination brought it to life for you.
I now also have a thing for Aunty Lina.
Word Count: 3.7k approx. (part 8)
Warnings: This chapter contains mature themes, childbirth, mentions of trauma and healing (not related to birth but as a family), mentions of sex and kinks.
-----------------------------------
Being tied up and used as some sort of breeding slave did tire you out, so after your bath with Lina you took a quick nap for an hour or so. You were woken to the sound of voices in the other room, and decided to get up and say hello and see if you could help with anything. You walked out into the living room to find Suengmin and Channie were just arriving home. Lina was folding clean laundry and Han was on the coach reading a book. Yep, they’d definitely been fucking while you were napping, you could tell.
“We had a wonderful time, didn’t we?” Seungmin said, looking at Channie who he was carrying in his arms. “We went to the aquarium and looked at the fishes, didn’t we?”
He looked like such a father in that moment, and you wondered what thoughts must go through his mind when he spends time with Chan like this?
Seungmin tried to put Chan down on the floor, but he protested and clung to him tightly. “Oh that’s right, you like Uncle Seungmin to carry you? He wouldn’t let me put him down for a second.” He said bewildered. “Must like being up high up. Daddy isn’t quite this tall, is he?” He quipped and danced around the room making Channie laugh. Han rolled his eyes at his brother’s dig about his height.
Just then the front door opened. Binnie had arrived home too. He stood dead still when he saw the scene in front of him. A look of absolute horror on his face. You knew what he was thinking. You’d been thinking it too. That watching Suengmin and Channie together in this way looked just like the sketches Hyuna had in her book.
“Oh, hi Bin!” Han stood up, but Binnie silently stormed off to his room.
“Teenage boys.” Han shrugged.
“Why don’t you show me your cars, Channie?” Suengmin suggested in the hopes the boy would let him put him down. To his relief, Channie was happy to go look for his toys. “That kid’s getting heavy.” Seungmin sighed rubbing his shoulder.
“Here let me help you, Sweetheart.” Lina went and sat down by Chan’s box of toys. “Now which one should we show Uncle Seungmin?”
“LOOK!” A loud, distressed voice interrupted. Everyone paused and turned to see Binnie, standing, furious with tears streaming down his face. He was holding Lina’s sketchbook, holding it open at a page where Suengmin was holding one of his sons up in the air playing airplanes.
Seungmin’s eyes widened in shock when he saw the sketch.
“Look!” Binnie said again, walking further into the room so everyone could see clearly what he was showing them.
The room fell silent except for the heavy panting coming from Binnie as he tried to control his anger. He flicked a few pages and held them up aw well.
“IT’S ALL FAKE ISN’T IT? You’re our father aren’t you? THIS FAMILY IS FAKE!” He screamed and started tearing the pages out of the sketchbook and tossing them into the air.
“No Binnie!” you cried, holding your hands out to stop him. But you were too far away and it was too late. Pages upon pages flew around the room landing all over the floor.
The front door opened once again. Hyuna. Her eyes darted to each person then her gaze fell to the floor, landing on on the pages that fallen. She ran over to a page, kneeling down and took it in her hand. Her other hand covered her mouth in disbelief. She looked up at you with tears in her eyes. “How could you?” she trembled, thinking that it must have been you that brought the book out.
Binnie turned to you. “YOU KNEW!?” he looked at you like he was about to murder you, then he looked around at the room. “YOU’RE ALL LIARS. THE WHOLE LOT OF YOU.” And he ran off to his room and slammed his door. Hyuna ran down the hall after him.
“Binnie? Please honey! Open up.” You could hear her pleas from where you stood in the living room.
You swallowed hard and looked at Han. He bent down and picked up a page that had fallen at his feet, and stood silently looking at the sketch in hand. “Is it true?” he whispered.
“I’m sorry, Han.” Seungmin said softly. Han didn’t even respond to Suengmin. Han was looking at you, shaking. “You knew?” his voice trembled. He looked so betrayed and you hated yourself so much. He took your silence as a yes, dropped the paper to the floor and walked out of the house without a word. Lina jumped up “Han. Please wait.” She called as she chased after him.
That left just you, Seungmin and little Channie in the room. You felt panic rise through you. You thought you were going to vomit. You looked around at the pages on the floor. “This is such a mess.” You sobbed as you got down on the floor, frantically trying to gather all the sketches. “We have to fix this.” You mumbled to yourself. You paused to see Seungmin crouch down beside you to help pick up the pieces. If this whole thing was killing you, what must it be doing to Seungmin?
“You knew?” he asked surprised.
You nodded. “Hyuna told me.” You sucked your lip in. “You know about this, right?” you pointed to your stomach.
“Yeah. You fit right in with our family.” He chuckled sarcastically.
“I’m going to go put these in my room. I don’t want Hyuna to see this destroyed. I’ll see what I can do to fix it.”
“Do you think it can be fixed?” he asked.
You looked at him sorrowfully. “I really hope so.” You whispered.
Neither of you were talking about the sketchbook.
You put the ruined sketchbook and all it’s torn pages in your bedside drawer. You were determined that you were going to put it back together for Hyuna. You sat on your bed defeated. This was so fucked up. Who knew where Han was? You hoped Lina was able to catch him up. But oh God you felt like you had ripped his heart out and stomped on it. You had never wanted to keep secrets from him. He probably felt like his whole world had crumbled in that one moment. You broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. You could hardly breath as your chest heaved and snot ran down your face. You felt like you were hyperventilating. You couldn't get enough oxygen into your lungs. Then you felt a strong pain in your abdomen. Your baby. Your hands clutched your stomach as you tried to calm your breath, but you were suddenly so frightened that you felt like your were having heart palpitations. Something was wrong.
You felt another strong pain. Oh no!
You made your way back to the living room. “Seungmin?” you stumble towards him.
Seungmin looked up from where he was on the floor with Chan with red and bleary eyes. He immediately saw that something was wrong.
“I think I need to go to the hospital.” You managed.
He stood up. “Should I get Hyuna?” You shook your head. You didn’t want to disturb her if she was talking to Binnie. “You’ll have to take me.”
Seungmin’s eyes darted around the room as though he was trying to find another solution, but eventually nodded. “We’ll have to take Channie with us.” He concluded.
------------------------
You sat in silence on the way to the hospital, trying to remain as calm as possible. Next week you would be considered full term and so if the baby was to come now you hoped that she had a good chance of being born safely.
Suengmin tried calling Han on speaker phone in the car, but his phone was turned off. So was Lina’s. They were supposed to keep their phones charged and ready in case of a situation like this, but after what just happened back at the house you couldn’t blame them for not wanting to be reached. You didn’t even know if Lina had managed to catch up to Han. Hyuna’s phone was switched on, but she didn’t answer. At least Suengmin could leave a voice message and hope that she called back soon.
Seungmin looked at you empathetically. This was absolutely not the way you envisioned going to the hospital - with Seungmin and Channie in tow.
At the hospital you were taken to a bed and hooked up to some monitors for observation.
“You are two centimetres dilated. You are in the very early stages of labour. Normally you would stay home until things progressed further.” They said. “But you’re heart rate and blood pressure are extremely high. We need to keep you in to monitor you. Then we can decide whether or not you can go home until you’re closer to delivery.” They explained. “You might want to see if anyone else can look after your son, it’s going to be a long wait for him.” They suggested, nodding towards Channie, and left you and Seungmin alone.
Suengmin’s eyes lingered on Chan who was sitting on his lap, then to you. “Are they really thinking of sending you home? You’re in labour. They said so themselves.” He said in disbelief.
“I’m just relieved that they don’t consider this an emergency.” You sighed in relief. “You really don’t don’t have to stay, Seungmin. You should take Channie home. I’ll be alright.”
Seungmin didn’t answer. “Do you really want to give her up to me and Lina?” he said suddenly.
You looked down at your stomach but didn’t say anything.
“Because if you do, I don’t want to pretend I’m her real father.” He said softly. You lifted your gaze to meet his. What was he saying? “I mean, I’ll raise her like she was my own, but I can’t do to this to Han. It fucking hurts like hell to not have your children know who you are.” His eyes filled with tears, and so did yours. “Could you really cope with your baby calling Lina Mummy and not you?”
“But what about Lina?” you looked at Seungmin unsure.
“I know she wants to me a mother, but I know you want to be too.”
The tears spilled down your cheeks. He was right. You wanted to be a mother. You wanted your baby to call you Mummy. You just thought it couldn’t be possible.
“I’m not even sure what’s going to happen now anyway.” You said sadly, thinking about what had happened back at the house. Everything had crumbled.
“Don’t keep this lie up just because I was a coward. You don’t know how many times I wished I had stood up to our parents and told them I was going to marry Hyuna? This whole family is a mess is because of me.” He said solemnly. He squeezed his arms around Channie in a tight embrace.
“Oh Seungmin, it’s not your —”
The door flung open and Han and Lina rushed in. “Baby!” Han wailed. “Oh my God, tell me everything is okay.” He was at your side fussing over you.
“Han?” Seungmin said hesitantly.
“Suengmin?” Lina patted him gently on the shoulder. “Let’s take Channie to our house. Hyuna is…well she has her hands full with Binnie… Come, let’s give them space.” She said quietly.
“I’ll speak to you later, okay, Hannie?” Suengmin tried again, but Han ignored him.
“Come on Channie, let’s go back to Aunty Lina’s.” Lina scooped up Chan and smiled at you kindly with red, puffy eyes and her and Seungmin left the room.
“Oh Han!” You held his face in your hands. “I’m so sorry.” You wiped his tears from his cheeks.
“I was so scared something had happened to you or the baby. I don’t know what I would do if —”
“Shh, Han. I’m okay, and so is the baby. They’re just keeping me in for observation and to see if I can go home. But…” he looked at you with concern. “They said I am in early labour. So we should meet our little girl soon enough.” Han’s expression changed from pained to relieved.
“She’s going to be here soon? I’m going to be dad. Really this time.” He half smiled.
“Han, you’re already a Dad.” You reassured him, squeezing his hand.
He shook his head. “Am I? Binnie was so distressed. I don’t know what I’m going to say to him when we get home. I don’t even know if I should try calling him. I just…” you could see the anxiety taking over. “I’m not really his father!” he choked.
“Hannie,” your tried to sooth him. “Binnie told me he’d always think of you as his Dad.” You went on to explain how you found Binnie with the sketchbook and that he had suspicions already.
“Is that how you knew too? The sketchbook?” he blinked away his tears.
You shook your head slowly.
“Then how did you know?” he asked puzzled.
“Hyuna told me.” You whispered softly. Han dropped your hands and sat back creating distance between the two of you. “She knew everything Han. About you and Lina, me, the baby. She knew it all.” You said bewildered.
“Seungmin too?” he pushed. You nodded. He dropped his head in defeat.
“Is there anything else?” his wounded eyes met yours.
“Yes.” His face couldn’t look any more hurt. “Hyuna… She’s painted a portrait of me…as a gift for me to remember by pregnancy. She thought it might be a nice keepsake when I give the baby up.”
“She did that for you?” you nodded. “ahhh!” you winced as you clutched your stomach.
“Baby?” Han was immediately close to you again, holding your hands in his. You had been keeping the discomfort of the contractions to yourself. They’d been manageable for the time being. But they were getting slightly stronger.
“I think we should focus on you and the baby right now. I love you. I’m not going to be angry at you for keeping secrets. Who am I to do that when look at me? Look at my family.” He scratched his head. “It’s all messed up but we can figure it out later.” He became suddenly focused on the immediate situation. Everything else would have to wait.
-----------------------------------
After a few hours the doctors were happy with your’s and your baby’s obs, but your contractions were becoming stronger and closer together, and your cervix was dilating rapidly. You were really about to have your baby.
Lina had returned to the hospital. She quickly updated you on what was happening on the home front, and that Hyuna and Seungmin were tending to Binnie and Channie. Lina seemed to be putting aside the family crisis, just like Han was doing, despite the whole situation being just as much a shock for her as it was for Han. Their world had just been torn apart, but here they were supporting you through the hardest but most rewarding thing you’ve ever done.
At three-ten in the morning your little girl was born. Little baby Yongbok. She was absolutely perfect. As you held her in your arms you promised her that you would never leave her. No matter what was going to happen you were going to be part of her life. You were going to be her mother. You couldn’t imagine any alternative. Not now. The words of Hyuna, Binnie and even Seungmin echoed through your mind. That lies and resentment eat you. That you’d be denying your baby the truth of who they were. That you’d be living a lie to fulfill an expectation of other people. To think about what you wanted. Everyone knew the truth of your baby now anyway. But what about Lina? You’d break her heart.
You looked to Lina who seemed to somehow sense your thoughts.
“She belongs with you, kitten. You’re her mother.” She whispered with tears in her eyes.
“Oh Lina, I need you!” you sobbed. “I need you to be her mother too. You’re part of this - you, me and Han. Our baby…Oh Han!” you reached out for him, pulling him close. The man was a blubbering mess. The three of you cuddled together around your baby. Baby Yongbook. A little ray of sunshine.
For the next little while it was like the four of you had run away. For the next little while nothing else mattered. You looked down at the most precious and perfect thing you had ever seen in your entire life and you felt a sense of calm, and you trusted that everything was going to work out.
-----------------------------
Once you returned home, you’d found that Hyuna had moved into your room so you could have the master room where you could fit a cradle and would have more space for you and Yongbok. She left all of Han’s clothes and items in there, insisting that the two of you should be together, especially in these early days. She’d hung your portrait on the wall too. “Holy shit, baby!” Han said when he saw it. “Yep, I definitely want to keep you pregnant all the time.”
You felt guilty that Hyuna had given up her space like this, but you were extremely grateful. Your room was not big enough to accommodate baby furniture.
Then reality set in. The whole family was hurting. There was tension between Han and Seungmin. Lina felt resentful that Hyuna had lied about the father of the boys. Everyone hurt for Han and Binnie who slowly came to terms with the reality that they weren’t biologically father and son, but still Dad and Son.
Everyone loved little Yongbok though. She was the one thing that brought hope to the family. It was as though whenever anyone held her they’d feel this sense of peace and hope. Everything could be worked out. When they held her they could understand what it was like to be in each other’s shoes. It still hurt and everything was still a mess. But it seemed like everyone wanted to heal and forgive.
Suengmin had said it best. “It’s like everything had to fall apart and crumble, so we can start to build things back up properly. The way it should have been built in the first place.”
Everyone agreed that they felt the same way too. But it was also made clear that no one was allowed to rush each other in their healing. Each person was affected differently, and they had the right to take as long as they needed.
That was especially true for Binnie. It was going to take a long time for him to work through the confusion he felt. He was having an identity crisis and trust issues. His Dad - that wasn’t really his dad - had a baby with the nanny? But, being the insightful and wise young man he was, he tried to remember that he now had an opportunity to have a second father. “Dad will always be Dad, but Seungmin, well, he’s not just an uncle. He’s a second dad. But I’m still going to call him Seungmin.” He concluded.
Han, once he realised that his position as “Dad” wasn’t really under threat, his confidence started to return. Han wasn’t as hurt as he probably should have been to learn that his wife and brother were in a lifelong secret relationship. His view as always was “Why can’t you love more than one person?” and this sentiment applied to his wife and brother.
Lina focused all her time and attention on you and Yongbok. She didn’t really share much about how she felt about the secrets coming out. You were pretty sure that, although she hated seeing Han hurt, inside she was relieved that she didn’t have to keep living her life in secret.
It eventually came time to discuss the inevitable. What was the family going to do moving forward? One thing was clear though. Everyone should be with their rightful lovers. “But who moves in with who?” asked Lina. Han didn’t want to simply swap with Seungmin because he wanted to be with Binnie and Channie.
“Maybe Yongbok and I can move in with Lina, and Seungmin move in here?” you offered. Han looked absolutely horrified. “Wait! And I stay here alone in my bed?” he pouted. Everyone sat in silence racking their brains.
“What if everyone just moves in here?” Binnie suggested? “But I don’t want to see any funny business. That’d be weird… and gross.”
“There’s not a lot of room,” Han sat in thought. “But I think we can make it work.” He nodded like he’d cracked the case. Everyone turned to Han waiting to be enlightened. “We’ll turn my office, because it’s biggest, into a bedroom, and make - now Hyuna’s - bedroom into an office.” He said brightly.
“Who gets the room with the en-suite?” Suengmin said flatly. Hyuna hit him in the arm.
“They do of course. They need a bigger room, there’s four of them. We can just use the main bathroom.” She explained.
Binnie threw his hands over his ears. “I DO NOT need to hear about the throuple sleeping situation.” He cried shaking his head.
So that’s what happened for the time being. Everyone moved into the one house.
The entire family continued to live a lie, but this time it was a facade for the outside world. Inside, however, the family had never been more open and honest with each other than they were being right now. They could start building a new future, bit by bit. They each wanted the same thing. Love and happiness, not just for themselves, but each other too.
————————
A year or so later… an update, because I want to wrap this up and this was the lazy way. Think of it like those clips you get at the end of a movie that shows you what happened without it taking another half an hour.
* Everyone still lives in the one house. They got too comfortable and fell into a routine that was “good enough”.
*Turns out Hyuna and Seungmin are really feely-touchy touchy with each other and no one saw that coming.
You glued the sketchbook back together.
* Channie calls Seungmin “Daddy” much to the encouragement from Han who decided his brother should be able to claim a son as his.
* Yongbok calls you “Mummy”, and Lina “Umma” and Han “Daddy” (yay!!)… although really, she can’t quite talk (but you’re teaching her who is who)
* Oh, and Lina has morning sickness! (Oh snap!)
------------------------------------------
It’s never really the end…
who knows I might write more little side stories, and I’m definitely open to answering “asks” related to this Skz Family universe. 🥰

I love how soft your writing is! Reading one of your stories is like curling up in a blanket :3 I don’t know much about Percy Jackson but I have writing prompt/one shot idea if you’re up to it!
Percy ends up coming down with like the flu or something and Triton, who’s unfamiliar with human sicknesses, ends up freaking out thinking it’s something serious. He has the overwhelming urge to take care of his sick brother, and goes into super soft and gentle big brother mode and ends up nomming him and fussing over his well being. Meanwhile Percy is like “dude I’m not dying I promise” XD
AHHHH Thank you so much!??? ANd ABSOLUTELY I am always up for prompts-
And yesses this is the easiest because Triton A. doesn’t go on land very often meaning the last time her heard of the flu it was genuinely a huge ass threat, it doesn’t help that Percy can be a big baby about being sick-
I just love the sea fam all adoring Percy like it’s legit an addiction at this point))
Percy groans laying on a bench, sniffling in misery. He hated getting sick, water didn’t technically take it all away even if it did make him feel a little better. Having said that this headache was absolutely killing him. “I’m dying” he whines, scowling when Annabeth laughs lightly, sitting by a tree working on some architect designs. “I told you to go lay in your cabin seaweed brain.” She teases Percy squeezing his eyes shut trying to ignore the scratches of pencil on paper.
“Ugh but that means leaving you alone.” He grumbles, coughing heavily causing him to groan again. “I need like- like mom’s cookies and some orange juice.” he cracks his eyes open to look at his girlfriend, huffing when she hums not even looking up from her drawing pad. “Do you even care that I’m dying?”
“You’re WHAT!? Why haven’t you been taking to your healers? Perseus! We talked about caring for yourself!”
Percy yelps falling off the bench groaning when he hits the ground. “Oh-ah..hey Triton?” He says clearing his throat before practically hacking up a lung. He winces knowing that he wasn’t exactly going to be let out of his brother's sight for a decent time. “Don’t you ‘Hey Triton’ me! You are dying and you’re- UGH You’re infuriating!” Percy isn’t too surprised to feel hands sitting him up, humming at the chill from the god’s hands. He forgot how cold Triton was and it was blissful.
“I told him to go to the med bay.” Annabeth pipes up, finally looking up from her sketch pad. There was a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. Oh. Oh, she had totally planned this hadn’t, see? Staying quiet to keep him complaining- “You’re despicable wise girl.” He hisses out.
Triton made a noise that Percy knew meant he was about to be totted around like a helpless toddler. “Wait! Wait, I’m not dying I’m actually fine- haha right? Just a little cold right Annabeth?” he hisses out looking pointedly at his girlfriend. He can’t help but relax more as Triton tucks him more against his body, the coolness of the god nearly making him melt. Deep sea coldness was bliss when you were sick, who knew?
“I don’t know Lord Triton, you heard him, he’s dying.” Annabeth says sweetly, glancing at Percy with a smirk. He groans knowing fully that he is going to be smothered for the next few hours. Triton makes that weird, strangling noise again, causing him to roll his eyes as he was picked up like a tired toddler. It was slightly nice, not that he would ever admit it.
“Not dying!”
“You’re practically burning up! Why haven’t you- brother we spoke about this." Triton groans, holding Percy close to his chest. Percy letting out a low breath as his brother started walking towards the water. “Get better soon Percy.” Annabeth calls cheerfully.
Jerk. He’d get his revenge.
“The water isn’t gonna help I already tried that.” Percy grumbles closing his eyes as he leans more against his brother. The coolness was combating the fever he had been sporting for a few hours now. He swore it even was making his headache ease up. His nose wrinkles up when Triton stops suddenly causing him to let out a small whine. It was embarrassing being so- well childish near the god, but Triton never seemed to mind. The god let an apologetic murmur out, a hand running through his hair lightly tugging out any tangles.
“Of course you have... What ails you little brother?”
“Just the flu”
Percy yelps when he's suddenly set down, his brother putting his hands on both his cheeks and staring at him intently with horror. “You hAVE WHAT!? Pereus! This is serious! Why haven’t you been in bed or resting- brother why haven’t you come to the palace for our healers!”
Well..that was new. Percy hadn’t expected Triton to be this worried. “Woah, woah hey! It’s alright I promise I’ve had it before.” He says patting his brother’s hands, holding in a round of coughing. He had a feeling that wouldn’t help his case. “That brings me no comfort little brother. This Influenza is a dangerous matter, I have seen its effects.” Triton’s tone was seriously starting to freak him out. This was as bad as the time he got back from Tartarus. He swore Poseidon hadn’t technically left him alone for a hot second.
“It’s different now, it's like- ah more inconvenience than anything I promise.” Percy offers his half-brother a reassuring smile, grabbing the God’s hands and taking them from his cheeks. Yeah, no that felt worse- he quickly put his brothers' hands back on his face humming at gentle coolness. “How it is simply an inconvenience if you are positively burning up.” Triton fusses, once again scooping him up into his arms. At this point he was too tired to care and honestly it was nice having someone other than his mother to soothe him. “Don’t take me to dad please I just... I feel like I'd be better up here.” He grumbles instead closing his eyes,
Triton sighed heavily and they were moving again. The blissful coolness of his brother’s body soothing his fever. He hums quietly pressing closer against his brother, tucking his head in the crook of the god’s neck.
“You truly have no concept of calling for aid, do you?”
“It’s just a cold.”
“And last time it was just a few monsters, or just a nightmare, it’s always just something Perseus.” Triton looks down at him with concern, Percy grimacing and ducking his face further into the crook of his brother’s neck. It was different with his mom; he didn't lie to her per say but..he left a few details out. She wouldn’t understand. Not truly.
“Because it’s nothing, I can get through it I always do.” He mumbles, relaxing once Triton steps into the cabin. The sea salt air washing over him in a soothing matter. The fountain in the middle expands drastically until it’s more of a small swimming pool. Triton steps in, his arms still wrapping around his body protectively.
“You aren’t anymore.”
That stung. He stays quiet until he dissolves into a wave of coughing, pushing back slightly from Triton, wheezing as he tried to get some air into his lung after the fit. Hands press into his back rubbing soothing circles, his brother murmuring something in Atlantean. “Let us take care of you now that we’re allowed little brother.” Percy bites his lip, trying to sink lower into the water to avoid any eye contact with the God. Allowed too was a funny thought. They hadn’t been allowed too, not at first. Less for Amphitrite and Triton but they hadn’t been his biggest fans until his little trip to Atlantis. Something about him screaming in his sleep and wailing.
Embarrassing stuff to sum up. Things he had tried so hard to hide from everyone else but for some reason stubbornly came to the surface when at Atlantis. He winces when Triton tilts his chin up forcing him to look into the God’s eyes. He always felt so small in any of the sea family’s presence...didn’t help that half the time they were physically larger.
“I’m fine Triton, I promise.” He ignores how his voice cracks. Relief floods his system when the god lets an annoyed sigh out before guiding him closer, the water cooling down as he did so. It had no right to feel as good as it did. Percy practically collapsed against his half-brother struggling to keep his eyes open. A hand starts carding through his hair, brushing strands away from his face. “Little brother...you look nowhere near ‘fine’ right now..please cease your stubbornness for even just a minute.”
He would've stuck his tongue out in protest but being in cool water combined was making him sleepy, not only that he was sure Triton was going to make sure that he stayed laying down. Instead, he stubbornly stayed quiet, keeping his eyes closed as he focused on the blissful chill the water and his brother brought.
“You’re merely a child...so rest. You’ve done so much for the world, allow yourself to rest little brother.”
Percy decided to not comment on the fact he was being shifted in a very suspicious manner that most likely meant that Triton was getting to his godly height. He whines when the support shifts from leaning a glint his brother's body to just what he was guessing was his brother’s hand. Ugh that totally meant he was getting one ticket to tummy town then.
Triton apparently took this as compliance because the next thing he knew he was being lifted up into the air, water trickling down into the fountain turned pool. He lets a tired breath out letting his body be guided, his feet pressing into a chill that started to envelope his body. He cracks his eyes open, huffing as he his legs slowly
passed between his brother’s teeth. They were less shark like than usual which was odd..ugh he’d ask later his vision was blurring just from thinking now. Lazily he sticks his arms up as Triton swallows firmly his legs being drawn into his throat. A small whine draws from him, Percy a tad surprised to get a croon back. The vibrations tickled him as the noise washed over his senses.
He closes his eyes against mischievously patting triton’s upper lip, smiling victoriously as he feels it twitch upwards. Ha! At least he wouldn’t have to deal with serious Triton after this whole thing. He lets a breath out mentally preparing himself as Triton swallowed again, the sound rolling over him as he’s sucked inside his brother’s mouth. He knew if he opened his eyes a soft glow would great him but..he couldn’t stand the idea of opening his eyes now.
Maybe it would be nice to just..rest. The muscles roll over him invitingly pulling his body further down. The rhythmic pulling further relaxed his body. When was the last time this week he had actually gotten rest? If he wasn’t currently being supported by the surrounding environment, he was sure his head would roll to the side. His feet hit open air, and soon he plops inside the larger chamber. A small breath escapes him as his lungs are free from the firm pressure of muscle. It was still gross he decided but...the chill and rippling of plush stomach walls was oddly inviting.
“Rest little brother, there is no reason for you to not. Your friends and betrothed are safe...there are no fights to be won, just rest.”
Triton’s voice is soothing like waves on the shore. The image of water gently rolling across the sandy beaches helpfully dancing in his mind. It wasn’t like Triton was wrong either, everyone was at their camps safe..there wasn’t a battle to prepare for it was just...Quiet.
“She’s, my girlfriend.” He mumbles in protest, scowling when a chuckle slides him around gently in a swaying motion. They had the argument multiple times, and he could practically see the fond smile on Triton’s face.
“Yes yes, your girlfriend.” His brother appeases him. Percy snorting and leaning against the welcome touch of his brother’s hand through layers of muscle. The familiar circular motion making him hum, trying not to fall asleep right there and then. Things started to blur together, more so when Triton, the bastard, started humming an old Atlantean lullaby that seemed vaguely familiar.
Oh well sleep would be good for being sick...

Sandor with a s/o who loves to draw/sketch/paint him? It can be hcs or a drabble or anything really.
Book!Sandor please. He’s so ugly I love him. ☹️❤️🩹
Praise be, praise be. Ugly is hot. Now this is a miracle, but I'll not waste a thousand words haggling over the fact that the features he's described to have are actually those which I consider attractive BUT this is not a complete miracle and I will instead ramble on about the issue of painting/drawing/sketching.
We don't see it much in ASOIAF. The artistry mentioned is often mummery, embroidery/needling, sculptures, and tapestries. (Although some armors seem to be quite the works of art, I am looking at you Ser Loras Tyrell).
Now, I am not claiming that this activity doesn't exist but I will be using our own history as a reference. Painting and even drawing/sketching were expensive back in the day (especially painting). Parchment isn't cheap. We don't really see nobles or the Faith acting as patrons for any type of painter. The only thing I can think of is shield-painters. So for the sake of ease, I am making this SO a member of nobility.
Headcanon
Every artist has their goal. To capture beauty, spark creativity, make a mark, or simply suck a little less.
It's a cliché to moan about not being understood, so you try to not moan too much when those around you don't understand. You smile, a knowing smile, often pared with a light nod. The "please-stop-and-please-do-not-make-me-ask-you-to"-nod. You've mastered it.
The thing is... a face is a face. Sure, the features change a bit but the principle remains the same. It's one of the things you never say out loud. How boring drawing can make the world. You study it, sure, but you study to capture not to admire. That can come later. Only if later ever came.
Every person has their own impossible. Some feat, some dream, something out of reach. Yours walked around the halls of the Red Keep.
Sandor Clegane was incredible. His face was incredible.
Plenty of people came to you for a portrait. Not him. One of the guards had asked you to draw him without the scar, curious how the man would look unburnt but it was one of the few portraits you refused. You never told Clegane, of course. The thought of that made you shutter. The guard would have stopped his howls long before Clegane stopped his fist from meeting the poor sod's face.
The solution was simple. You never asked for permission.
It wasn't a perfect likeness. You forgave yourself for that. After all, you had only managed to study him in passing but even the unburnt side of his face was difficult to do justice. He was more rugged. Harsher. Sader. You couldn't draw the burnt side. It was too intimate and you couldn't shake the sense that you wanted to do it justice.
So you continued. It became your secret. The ever-growing bundle of drawings of the Hound. Whenever you passed him in the hall your heartbeat soared, what if he could tell? What if he could sense that you carried him around? Glimpses set on parchment.
He was handsome. Fine, ugly by most people's count, but he was. No one else had a face you could study endlessly and never tire, but he did.
One evening you set out, it wasn't even to find him. Princess Myrcella wanted you to draw one of the birds in the garden for her little brother. The bundle of Hound-drawings just came with. They had grown into a source of comfort and shame. What if some servant found them? What if he was told? You'd die. If not by his hand, your own heart would just die right there on the spot.
Clegane shouldn't even have been there. The garden wasn't for him.
The collision was brutal... well, brutal for you. It didn't as much as budge him. Clegane remained a tower of darkened steel and you became a mess of cloth, parchment, powdered coal and a broken brush.
As you gathered the drawings you felt his gaze burning into your neck. Was it too late to tattle on the guard who wanted him drawn unburnt? Better him than you.
Clegane said something. You didn't hear, not while you talked over him and past him. You couldn't even retell what was said, you just talked and talked while you fled like a scorched rat.
Dorne? Sothoryos? Perhaps you could board a ship sailing toward the Jade Sea? Forsake your name and house and simply disappear. Yes, a sound plan. A fine plan.
Clegane didn't find you right away. Two days passed before he caught you in the hall, heading towards the Princess to deliver her drawing. There was no question, just a command: "Talk." You'd never been so quiet and so he shook you and repeated the command. "I was bored," you said, "and you're difficult to draw, interesting to draw. I haven't shown them to anyone... you could have them if you like or I'll destroy them if that's any better."
Clegane said nothing. He just released you and once again you scurried away like a scorched rat.
By nightfall a knock filled your bedchamber. Before you even opened the door, the stench of wine and ale seeped through the cracks.
Clegane didn't say a word as he stormed inside. You didn't even manage to tell yourself a prayer that it was drink that reddened his face. Rage, hot and black, filled his grey eyes. "That the lot of you do? Pissing yourself with fear before me and snicker behind my back," he spat, "interesting." "You are interesting," you answered meekly.
The chair let out a crack as his body slammed down upon it. The laughter thick in his throat. "Draw then. Go on, if it's any good I might let you live."
So you drew him. Clegane never told you if he thought the drawing any good, but surviving that night was answer enough.
Strangely enough, you hoped he'd come again. You'd take more time, allow yourself to admire him. Just for a moment.

Do you have any tips on how to draw different poses? Any kind of movement just fucks me up so bad 😭😭
hoo boy poses! an eternally difficult frustrating teeth clenching jaw aching part of drawing 🤩 JK but i def get where you are coming from. i was trying to think of the best way to reply to this and just ended up making a whole step by step of my process LOL
BEFORE WE BEGIN THOUGH i should mention that i am NOT a professional, nor have i learned these techniques anywhere other than the internet and so there's obviously room for improvement and this is not the end-all-be-all, just how i personally draw poses ATM.
now with that out of the way! keep reading for my tutorial on posing :D
i figured the best way to show this would be to take one of my old drawings and repurpose it. so:
rayla. january 11 2020 rayla. she looks a lil smug maybe? a lil confident? her arms are crossed and her head is kinda tilted and her expression seems that way, but all in all it's kinda grey. this is the first thing you should do when making a pose for your character:
what is your character feeling?
define it clearly. are they angry? close their pose up, cross their arms. happy? open it up, give them big gestures. lazy or tired? slouching, etc. posing is pretty much just body language so figure out what you want your character to say when they aren't speaking.
now i'll just show what the base sketch for this drawing looks like:
that's fine and all, the building blocks are there, but now i'm gonna redraw it and show what i would do differently now:
what's different about this sketch from the first one? three main things which i will break down!
The Lines
when i say "the lines", i mean the horizontal lines of the body if that makes sense? i'm sure there's an actual term or something, but basically, the parts of your body that can tilt. don't make these parallel! that can end up making the character look unbalanced and unnatural, or stiff if the lines are just flat. in the 2020 sketch, they aren't parallel, but they aren't exaggerated either. the more you exaggerate the differences in your posing, the more dynamic it will look. so in this sketch, i've exaggerated them more. gotta make rayla look real cocky yk
The Blobs
when i used to sketch bases for my characters, it would be a bunch of boxes and rectangles connected by sticks. i stopped doing that and it helped. human bodies are soft and squishy and curvy, we aren't robots with metal edges. drawing the base shapes as blobs personally helps me with getting rid of stiffness in the pose. lots of ppl make the boxy method work though, so if that's what you wanna do, by all means.
another thing i noted is "forget about the limbs". limbs are basically just branches, so if you get caught up in drawing them before their foundation (torso + lower half) is down, it could look wonky. get the basis down first, and then go on with the joints and limbs.
The Line (Singular)
AKA the line of action, which is a very popular term + method for posing. this is basically a line that runs down the spine, and the more bendy/curvy it is, the more dynamic your pose will look. tbh in the sketch i did right now it's not very action-y, but rayla is also just standing there, so if you want to do a fighting pose or something similar make sure the line of action is hella curved. even for stationary poses though, a little curve is helpful.
so! with these things in mind, i redid (extremely very roughly lol) the drawing. let's see the difference:
eyy hows that? she looks a helluva lot more arrogant! lol jk. but we can definitely get a better grasp of her character from the first image than the second. ofc there are other factors at play here like line weight and expression, but nevertheless, a few small tweaks go a long way.
anyways this got kinda long but i hope i could be of help!
