I had vacation and tooth surgery and thus a lot of time to be lazy! <3 A chunk of it I spent listening to the narrations of some creepypasta series. Though, honestly, I'm not sure they can be called that? They're more episodic paranormal stories. Yes, there's monsters running around and dangerous, maybe scary stuff going on, but they're also incredibly wholesome and soo sweet and very queer! So if you're into that, go look for the stories written by @02321 on r/nosleep and Youtube! My Name's Skyler, I'm a Freelance P.I. narrated by Baron Landred (the title on r/nosleep is I Work as a P.I and a Government Agent approached me to help with a case) and I Deliver Mail to Cryptids narrated by Animas. (And also a bunch of stories more set in the same universe of the Silver King.)
Now back to our regular books! We have 4 princes, 2 kings and 1 queen this month!
Banshee Blues (Nina Blazon): I'm in the editing process of my latest novel, which I'm writing in German, so I felt I should read a German, non-translated book for once. This was the only one in my pile but it is from my favourite German author, so all was well. I have a lot to thank her for. The first novel read from her was Der Dunkle Kuss der Sterne (The Stars' Dark Kiss) and that was the first time I liked first-person viewpoint! Her next book had split POV and different tenses and I had to admit it was done well. Banshee Blues was not quite up to par with her previous works but it went a few new directions than usual which was nice as well. It tried very hard to lead you astray with what's going on and who is evil and who isn't. And while I liked how things turned out between the two leads it would have been monumental to have them stay platonic.
The Fallen King's Penitent Soldier (Tales of the High Court 5) (Megan Derr): Sigh, it's been a ride. I had a good time with the whole series. I love the worldbuilding, really. But it is alright to end it here, while it's still good, you know. In a way, these five stories are all built very similar: Being kidnapped by bad guys, running from the bad guys or running after the bad guys for the first half and afterwards waiting to let other people sort it out. There's probably a limited amount of iterations you can go through while still be interesting. But for these five volumes it was fun! As for book 5 by itself, I think it's a good thing it comes so late in the series. Because it really takes its time. There's a lot introspection going on for the two protagonists which is okay because they go through a lot but it's also very long and sometimes not much else happens. I liked the two of them, I liked how religion was handled, I liked how it went full circle back to Allen's story. I liked the series. Good times. :)
Prince & Knight (Daniel Haack & Stevie Lewis): I wanted this for the pretty pictures. But apparently the universe didn't want me to? I ordered this last year already, but the package went on an odyssee through several cities without ever arriving at my home. I ordered it again this year and … the same thing happened?! 8D The odyssee was shorter this time, mind you, but … why again?! I tried a third time and ordered it for pick up at a local bookstore and that finally worked. Geez! It's a children's picture book so the story is as basic as it goes. Is it goo for children? I wouldn't know. The dragon doesn't die and it's very sweet and very pretty.
In all seinen Farben (Boy Queen) (George Lester): I had some exhausting weeks at work and thought I could use something inspirational. Something about finding your own way and shine. Which happens in this book but there's also a lot of drama going on and I was not prepared for the rock-bottom-hit in the beginning. xD I mean, it was written in the blurb but I've owned the book for a year why should I reread the blurb … I know nothing about drag or make-up or anything in that direction (I did watch like 15 minutes of the drag show at Comic Con Stuttgart last year but that hardly counts), so it was charming and interesting to read about.
We Could Be so Good (Cat Sebastian): I have to apologise to everyone on the waitlist for this at my library because I could have read it faster but … once I realised what sort of direction the 70% drama might take I had a tough time reading on. They were so happy and it was nice and I just did not want to suffer! I did assume, since the book goes out of its way to address how all queer books published during the mid of the last century would have to end badly (and the protagonist outright refusing to read them therefore), it would probably take a turn for a happy ending. That was the only hope that kept me going. If I had known any of the author's other work I maybe wouldn't have worried so much, because it's written in her bio already that she'll only write happy endings?! Well … So for anyone else fearing the drama of a book set in 1959: No queer person was harmed in this book! (Nothing major anyway.) I like the book, though! Enjoyed reading it. Nick and Andy are both sweet. But that fear did something to me, took me a while to recover. :'D
Prince & Assasssin (Perilous Courts 1) (Tavia Lark): I needed something simple for my fragile heart and it seems gay fantasy is my comfort read now in the same way my mom reads stuff named like "The Little Bakery at XYZ Street". And what should I tell you, yeah, there're men who are tenderly and not so tenderly intimate with each other, yeah yeah, but there's also giant talking cats! Giant talking cats! Also, I really like the author's writing style. It's so smooth! I started reading and didn't want to put it down anymore because it read so smoothly! The book itself was so much better than I had expected (which was basically nothing). It won't blow you off your feet but it's pretty enjoyable and surprisingly wholesome. Also the worldbuilding felt just right. I'm looking forward to reading the next volumes soon!
King of Immortal Tithe (Darkmourn 2) (Ben Alderson): Did I buy the expensive hardcover just because I like the illustration more than the one of the paperback? Why hello, that's me. So this is the second fae book I read this year. It's apparently a universal truth now that fae men are the most beautiful and well endowed beings on earth and beyond. Not that I mind, you do you, but why does fae anatomy work the same as humans' actually? Anyway, this is a stand-alone in a series of stories all set within the same universe. I like that concept. Hunting for pieces of lore is fun. Arlo is a feisty character so following him was enjoyable. The switch from enemy to lovers was kinda sudden like … I can see why but personally it still felt sudden. Also Faenir calling Arlo constantly Darling was not my taste but you know, if it's just that, I can overlook it. The twist at the end had me barking out evil laughter (which means approval). I did hold back reading the final chapter until I read the first volume as not to spoil any more! (While they are stand-alones the previous story is referenced in this one.)
Lord of Eternal Night (Darkmourn 1) (Ben Alderson): "He was so tall and his hands were so large and his length was so great and so thick my fingers couldn't touch reaching around it. He was not just a man, he was a god!" I laughed. That's not a literal quote, but a good summary. Yeah. I laughed. And while praising one guy he was also dissing his former lover, the baker's son, for not being as large. Not the poor lad's fault, no need to get mean! Should have known at that point already who was the true evil mastermind. :'P. But in all fairness, there is a little more going on in the story. And well, these books know very well what kind of fantasy they're catering. There's a short guy, a little crafty and feisty, not too weak, and the very tall, very beautiful guy who everyone says is evil, but turns out he isn't so evil, he just has a tragic past, he also falls very hard for the protagonist and oops, maybe he does have some capacity for evil. I did like how the story subverted who's good and who's bad like three times. Otherwise, it's not really complex. But I'm kinda into the ending.
Alpha of Mortal Flesh (Darkmourn 3) (Ben Alderson): The third installment in the series, they've been getting more elaborate with each volume. So instead of the 2 and 3 half characters we had in the first one, there's actually a whole cast in here with motivations and backstories. That was nice. The writing style, however, is still as … trying as hard as in the beginning. It's not bad, mind you, I commend it for trying to use the full range of the English language, but there's a lot of words, making everything longer than needed, and sometimes their choice is really weird. Example: "My tongue broke free. It slithered from the confines of my mouth." But it's just a normal human tongue licking something eagerly yet still very normally! And, they're indie books, yeah, but I do wish all three books would have gone through another round of editing. The unnecessary repetitions and errors made me suffer a little. And while I got a little bored and impatient at the end I do like the story and what it's trying to do. Just that it was trying too hard in some aspects of the writing and not hard enough in others.
That's it for July! Apparently, August will be library month again. My TBR bookshelf disapproves but duh. Let's go and have fun. :P

Today I picked up 3 more panda corys, 4 platies (I think one of the females might be pregnant wuh oh), 2 more assasin snails to aid cryptid in the war against my snail infestation and 2 more plants because I can never have too many plants. Oh and yesterday I had a plant delivered in the mail (I'm glad it survived because the delivery was delayed because of the holidays) so yeah it's really planted nicely now.
Look at that fish tank progression! (This photo was taken yesterday so the two plants I got today are missing and also the new plant was all coiled up because of transport lmao. It's corrected itself by now)
As for future plans: I'm gonna let these fish settle and the filter adjust itself for at least 2 weeks and hope to then pick up a school of six harlequin rasboras, let the tank settle again and then finally get a pair of honey gouramis and 10 cherry shrimp to finish of the tank! Might leave out the gouramis if my tank starts to struggle with the bioload but I def want shrimp and rasbora.
So far I've had 0 issues with ammonium or even nitrite or nitrate spikes. I love having a big tank (125L) it's so much easier to maintain than a smaller tank like I used to have as a kid. I also have been doing much more research this time around, have full control over what I'm doing with it without my parents intervening with their thoughts and also my mental health is miles better and also I have more life experience. So now the tank makes me super happy! I love seeing it change and grow and the activity in the tank. Water changes are also a lot less hard on me and this aquarium came with a huge cannister filter so that also requires much less maintenance. I also have been watching tons of YouTube videos on fishkeeping and reading posts in blogs and forums, it's just nice to have something to fixate on again.
Just this aquarium has been giving me so much joy, especially in these dark cold winter months it provides me with light and life in my apartment. I'm still not ready for a dog and I might not be any time soon, but I'm happy to take care of these lil guys for now :)
(And of course I also still have my garden snails and common woodlice which I also enjoy. But all my snails are currently hibernating. They only wake up sometimes, crawl around a bit, munch on some veggies and then go to sleep. Meanwhile my isopods devour everything I put in their enclosure in a few days, it's insane.)

🧐 Write an analysis of one of your characters, from a reader’s perspective.
💔 Which scene from your WIP makes you the most emotional?
🔎 What is something you learned when doing research for your WIP?
📈 In a few sentences, how would you market your WIP to someone?
For all of your current projects or take your pick if something screams at you going off about it
I'm sorry this answer is so late! Hope it's worth the wait!
🧐 Write an analysis of one of your characters, from a reader’s perspective.
Milo is literally and metaphorically trapped between worlds. His father's family has deep German roots and his mother is a second-generation Irish immigrant. He's a farmer whose childhood accident left him unable to shoulder the usual responsibilities of that life. And he's capable of seeing the secret world that most people never catch even a glimpse of. Milo tends not to feel like he belongs anywhere, which means it's easy for him to connect to the other characters, all of whom feel a little out of place in town or sometimes in the world in general.
💔 Which scene from your WIP makes you the most emotional?
Matti talking to Will when he's able to tell Will that his mother's death was not his fault. Will has been blaming himself for so long, internalizing what his family had told him, and Matti giving him a totally different way of seeing the same events gets me every time...and I wrote it.
🔎 What is something you learned when doing research for your WIP?
That the classic "Mail Truck" Grumman LLV was NOT around in 1978 and mail was instead delivered with modified Dispatcher Jeeps! I had no idea mail jeeps were a thing until I decided to look up what Jim would have driven. And they're actually really fun-looking.
📈 In a few sentences, how would you market your WIP to someone?
Stranger Things but 1970s German farming community. And some pretty cool obscure German cryptid/monster lore. Might make you look twice the next time you drive past a cornfield...

The Multi-Fandom Postcard Exchange: Card E-24
Fandom: cryptids & cryptozoology
Message:
Dear fannish friend: I could think of no better postcard for a member of the MFPE who loves Mothman! This mail-delivering Mothman is just too cute! Like you, I find cryptids fascinating, as well as cryptozoology as a whole. I am sure you are familiar with the Coelacanth, the "living fossil" fish that was considered extinct (though locals knew better) until "discovered" by Westerners. Though not a true cryptid, I think it's a great example of man's hubris: believing we know everything when clearly we don't. More recently, Phylis Canion's "chupacabra" specimen makes a good argument for that particular cryptid being real. Do you think it's more fun to know for sure or not know?
Art Credit: Bailey’s Doodles
Response from recipient:
Thank you so much for the stickers and the postcard!! To answer your question, I think it's super fun to not know for sure when it comes to cryptids! Why? Well It's my moth man and I get to pick the everything!

one of those AUs where adam and ronan meet on college campus except
ronan isnt a student. hes a weird reclusive farmer with wicked tattoos who always shows up shirtless in muddy boots to deliver supplies to the agricultural department. the man has no phone number, email, or social media accounts. his only contact info is the mailing address for the barns. hes the local campus cryptid because theres always a massive fucking BIRD chilling on his shoulder and some students swear up and down theyve seen him doing wheelies at 3 AM in the abandoned lot by the now-defunct former office building
adam IS a student. adam is the most tired student alive and hasnt spared much more than a passing thought for the tattooed campus farmer cryptid because none of his classes are anywhere near the agricultural center and his head is so crammed with jobs and schedules and studying and extra credit and so much other nonsense. adam is approaching cryptid status himself because the only financial indulgence he allows himself is stupidly strong coffee and energy drinks with warnings from the FDA on the label. theres a rumor that hes a vampire and also a rumor that he sold his soul to the devil and thats why he never sleeps and also a rumor that the devils the one in debt to him
if you just saw adams dorm room youd think he bought out a gardening center or was at least studying botany but the truth is he takes flower pots as payment for tutoring sessions so he can carefully rescue plants he finds crying out to him. its not weird that he knows when a shrub edging a hiking trail is dying and its also not weird that he knows exactly how to transplant it somewhere safe and give it the right amount of water and sunlight to survive without so much as a google search. probably everyone can do that and also, shut up
adam throws his windows wide one night before he goes to the library for a cram session so that itll be cool when he snags a nap between 6AM and his 8AM class. after all hes on the second floor and its not like he has anything except plants, incredibly ratty secondhand textbooks, and a floor littered with empty monster cans that look like nuclear waste capsules. hes not that worried about being robbed
as he gets back and is walking blearily down the hallway with the weaving gait of the drunk or chronically exhausted, theres this SCREAM. adams whole body freezes. his heart climbs into his throat. he hasnt had reason for a fight-or-flight reaction in ages and his instincts say flight but his head says what the fuck
the scream definitely came from his room. as he slowly sets his backpack down on the hallway floor theres a thump and some muffled swearing. adam draws his fuckoff gigantic eight hundred page hardbound sociology textbook from hell out of the backpack and holds it above his head in one hand as he silently turns the doorknob and throws the door wide
lo and behold. shirtless farmer man is inside. in an ideal world thered be a charged pause where adam appraises the musculature and sharp outlines of ronans tattoos while ronan appreciates the fact that this random nerd can apparently deadlift the largest book of all time onehanded like its nothing
however. in this world shirtless farmer man has one muddy boot on adams rolling desk chair (rude, and also dangerous) and the other on adams cluttered desk (UNCONSCIONABLE). also theres a giant indignant bird chilling wings half spread on the lip of adams highest hanging flowerpot but thats the last thing on adams mind because DESK
“GET OFF MY PSYCH NOTES” adam yells
ronan throws a disbelieving glance over his shoulder before returning to operation: retrieve giant indignant bird. “i am KIND OF in the middle of something”
“youre stepping on my PLANNER”
“boo hoo”
“its COLOR CODED”
ronan clearly doesnt appreciate the gravity of the situation. all this aesthetic plotting and careful tabulating of post-it reminders ruined. adam clearly doesnt appreciate the campus cryptids bird choosing tonight and his open window of all windows to go feral in
probably things could continue in this fashion for a while because the bird appears to have no intention of leaving. there is a challenge in its posture. its like looking at a cat with a twitching tail tip
but adams so goddamn tired and his scheduled ninety minute nap window is shortening with every passing second and the fact that there havent been any plant casualties yet is a miracle and he doesnt want flowerpots to start smashing
so he sets his textbook on the floor and steps inside. “can you just be chill”
“i” — ronan starts, but then chainsaw moves and ronan has the sudden realization that nerd boy was not addressing Him. the reason ronan knows this is because chainsaw is now hanging out in nerd boys hair like its a nest. ronan knows from experience that chainsaws claws are exquisite little razors but nerd boy does not appear phased at all
“cool” says adam. “thanks for dropping in but nows not a great time.” he is still not addressing ronan
chainsaw huffs and ruffles up her feathers and spends a minute combing her beak through adams hair looking for snacks and then she flaps her way onto ronans shoulder
ronan looks at adam
adam looks at ronan
ronan looks at adam
adam looks at ronan
“what the fuck” ronan says
#pynch#pynch fic#adam parrish#ronan lynch#my writing#long post#i laid in bed typing this incredibly stupid thing on my phone for an hour#yall better appreciate

Just had a heatstroke induced dream of two guys (brothers?), one of who I am, needing to deliver a mail in the place of their grandma, who couldn’t go due to old age, to an apartment at the top of a skyscraper. Before they went however, their grandma warned them of a local cryptid story of “The Water-clogged man”, who is the ghost of a man who had fell asleep with his mouth open in heavy rain, dying of drowning as water filled his lungs. He now jumpscares people by appearing in front of their eyes on days with heavy rainfall, like this one.
The two brother then go to start climb the skyscraper. Apparently there’s no elevators (guess why the grandma couldn’t go), so after a cutaway moment of disinterested seeming stair climbing by the two guys, they get stopped by the higher floors, which seems to be reserved for some sort of big party of unclear motivation for celebration. There are a punch of important and/or famous people, including Queen Victoria and a local Superman equivalent there. The two guys put on tuxedos from somewhere and thus are allowed to pass.
The party extends to the roof of the skyscraper, where the apartment buildings are located. Once the two guys are there, they take out the letter to read which apartment they gotta leave the mail at, only to notice that instead of the delivery address, the side of the letter simply reads “Deliverable only via mail”. The two guys are very frustrated by this, though im mostly distracted by the fact that it’s raining a lot on the roof, and thus im very paranoid of getting jumpscared by The Water-clogged man.
The two guys go into one of the apartments on the roof here, wet and frustrated, entering a living room full of bored and tired party people in tuxedos, including Queen Victoria and the local Superman equivalent, who in particular is curious about the two guys frustrations. They explain to him that they had to make a pointless trip, after which the pseudo-Superman complains about hearing an odd quiet, violin-like screeching in his ears thanks to his super hearing, to which I then snark to him “Maybe The Water-clogged man is trying a new method to scare you”. After that I go into the bathroom and begin taking a piss. Then I woke up.

OH That would absolutely be a brilliant idea and I love it. They thought they were there just to sort and deliver mail and completely missed the memo that these Psychics have a whole new world going on with them -- and it sure is a journey, as a supposedly side-character.
Last we see things in the mailroom was Lori pouring out her enthusiasm over it, picturing herself to be as fantastic as the previous workers in that place. But let’s be real, we all got very worried with how she is dealing with the mail. Okay well, at least I did, I literally put one of my OCs on temporary mailroom duty just so I won’t have to worry about Lori commit accidental mail crimes*. Ah hell, I don’t know technicality of ranks Lori is gonna be the Mentor** isn’t she?
*Oh no I’m gonna have to research that don’t I?
**Okay Ford could help the new mailperson out, but we have to have him be a cryptid first okay?
They don’t know what the deal is with psycho-isolation, but since it isn’t an area they are required to go to anyways, they leave it be. There’s enough wackiness around here and they aren’t going to add another one in if they can help it (to which, I would appreciate the irony of this situation ;) ).
Ahhh, Just a POV of a normal person of all the absolutely bonkerous adventures Psychonauts get up to, trying make sense of it all while just wanting to sort mail and make normal living wage.
(”Why is there two ten year old higher position than me? What do you mean they work here? What do you mean they help with government mission? Junior Agents? Isn’t that what kids try to be with that Comic thing you have? This isn’t a kids’ show!” oh my sweet child,,, so much questions, some of which you wouldn’t want an answer to /glances at audience ;) )
Oh how I just love thinking of Outsider POVs in Psychonauts, and it seems like the Mailperson has enough normalcy and seemingly access to thing that makes it the perfect spot to put them in.
adding onto the show ideas--
There's definitely an introduction to Bob where he's just doing something completely normal for him (working with the plants in the Motherlobe, getting a nice meal with Compton at the Lumberstack, just sitting with Helmut and being the most lovestruck man you have ever seen) and as soon as he notices the ASC he just freaking runs/hides because he's not ready for a new person. it's the worst running/hiding job ever and yet everyone just goes "...ok social battery is dead let's leave him be"
Helmut's introduction is either completely normal or ASC getting SLAMMED into by a hamster ball
I also want to request just... every single little background job is played by Ford. No one ever reacts.
Aye, Bob would have a relatively normal introduction, doing his own thing. I haven’t written much about Bob but for my own characterization of him, I try to keep in mind the first interaction with Bob in the greenhouse before he gets pissed off, as well as the interactions in the island where he continues gardening and even has his comment about the campfire. And also remember his reaction on seeing Nick's Body (w/o knowing it was Helmut) and it was asking a familiar someone (who is Raz in that case) for information.
So my take on Bob is that he can handle his interactions his well enough. But would prefer plants and people he is friends with. His social battery on interactions with other people gets consumed faster. Perhaps when he was younger and less socially experienced after being alone for so long he would flee but being older, he can hold his ground especially with plants around. Part of the GnG character development with the gang stays and its being able to socialize nice yes.
But yeah if he does flee in the interaction, he’d say something about needing to work on his garden or talk to his husband, leaving, and if ASC tries to follow, they nearly trip on some plants and -- hey wait did those plants just move on their on? (aka me referencing plants removing themselves from the Astralathe on their own after Bob leaves to catch-up with Helmut scene).
ASC
As for Helmut intro well...
My mind instantly set the setting of the shot to be further into the future post the second game, where characters are able to do more of reconciliations and adjustments to the new normal daily life to be set post-game.
So that would mean that Helmut would be in back in his body and is at the last bits of the required recovery and adjustment back to his body.
Regardless, the idea of Helmut’s introduction being him pinballing around in the brain ball is very entertaining and certainly a good way to introduce those inventions are normal thing around this organization. Despite that regularity though, there is that line that something happened to his body that may or may not be elaborated on depending on if ASC knows about what happened to Helmut Fullbear at the Deluge of Grulovia (if they even know that). Then he continues on merrily zipping by to his husband.
Man I really am making it like ASC is an ignorant protagonist lad in need of exposition. We will think of what they know when we know why they are even in the Motherlobe in the first place, and if they are the protagonist or just a companion.
ASC would meet Compton at Lumberstack Diner, where he has cleaned it up and put it up to as a small business with Sam and Cassie. So that would be a nice and proper introduction experience. But then the food is served with animals balancing the dishes on their heads and someone can take the request customers have and successfully is understood by the employees. Again, surprising amount of higher intelligence from the animals and working like they are from Disney cooperating like they are doing a musical number.
Very tempted Cassie’s intro is her Green-Needle-Witch costume. Perhaps being sent out to the forest to find her and absolutely getting scared shitless instead. Cassie has obtained better and actual bee-keeping clothes we see in the memory vault, but when she tends to the hive in Forgetful Forest, she dons on the costume for scaring and pranking opportunities on newcomers. It’s tradition now to send newbies into the forest just for this experience.
OH perhaps the order of meeting these two would be GNW, then Compton and Cassie at the diner where they Cassie whispers to Compton about ASC’s reaction in the forest as a joke between them. Compton is so amused but does give ASC a free comfort food, doesn’t explains and just says a line that vaguely references that the experience in the Forgetful forest is quite normal, all while giving a knowing wink.
It is important to me that every psychic 7 member exude some form of cryptid energy.
Ford most of all.
That said, you would DEFINITELY see Ford just in the background doing various jobs. I am now considering that ASC actually met Ford before after bumping into him cleaning as a Janitor.
It could be right after ASC (& co. if that’s the protag thing) arrives in the setting, on their way to meet their guide or whomever they are suppose to meet. But in their rush they accidentally slip on a wet floor sign and bump into Ford. A quick shot of him being intimidating even as a janitor, but that quickly does away as he asks if they are alright and makes a sassy joke on them. Just a small quite interaction and a small apology before moving on to meet the guide just on the room around the corner. ASC explains and even mentions bumping into someone, attempting to point to where Ford was at, only to find it empty and clean. They are extremely confused. Guide continues the conversation to more important matters though and shows them around.
Following that would be small encounters with Ford doing many other jobs, and just like in psychonauts 1 before meeting Agent Cruller, they have no freaking idea what’s up with this guy and am I just imagining him everywhere? They never really had a chance to voice their question (nor get exposition about the psychic 7) before Ford’s proper(or more explained) introduction with the at the Diner. The audience then gets the idea that this guy is important and goes back to record all his previous background appearances like Blendin Blandin in Gravity Falls.
How he disappears so quickly is never explained for a long time. Audience and Characters don’t know about his teleportation yet. Only one question was remained and even more opens up. Cryptid Vibes remains.

Inktober Day 1! Apologies for the low quality, I don’t have access to a scanner, so I’m using my broken phone camera and several editing programs to improve the image quality.
This is my first year doing Inktober - I’m sticking to the official prompts and using my own characters: couriers delivering mail in a post apocalyptic world inhabited by cryptids.

Bigfoot, Mothman and the Chupacabra may be some of the most widely known cryptids in modern society, but another fascinating cryptozoological classification of mysterious “monsters” are giant animals. Contrary to popular belief, creatures that are considered to be cryptids don’t have to be of a supernatural nature. They don’t all have to have some hidden power attributed to them. They don’t have to have the power to sense and draw out your deepest fears, to disappear on command or control the environment around them. Some of the paranormal attributes given to cryptids are most likely due to the emotional state or psychological upheaval experienced by the observer after witnessing something totally unexpected or unbelievable to them. Sometimes, they’re just big.
In 2005, George M. Eberhart wrote an article in the Journal of Scientific Exploration in which he placed cryptids (or reports of cryptids) into ten distinct categories. Eberhart explained his categorization in the article in reference to his book Mysterious Creatures: A Guide to Cryptozoology. In this article we’ll focus on the category “Undescribed, Unusual or Outsized Variations of Known Species.” These may be common animals with notable deformities or attributes. This may also include known animals that are the rare giant of that species, or suffer from a form of gigantism.
Krystyna ‘Krys’ Pawlowski and the 28-Foot Crocodile
You may have seen this photo floating around the internet and thought it was a photoshopped crocodile. However, this is not the case, and the story behind it is surprisingly terrifying.
Ron and Krystyna Pawlowski were Polish immigrants who arrived in Australia in 1949. The Pawlowskis struggled to make ends meet while caring for their children on a rural patch of land in Kaumba, in Queensland’s Gulf Country.
That all changed on a hot day in 1955. In a nightmarish scenario, three-year-old Barbera Pawlowski was playing near the water’s edge when her brother witnessed a horrific sight. A massive crocodile was stalking the toddler, and was about to make her it’s next meal.
“My brother came out and saw it and yelled “Barbara, crocodile!” and my mother grabbed a rifle and shot it between the eyes…”
-George Pawlowski
Krystyna Pawlowski had never shot a rifle before in her life, but in that instant she managed to dispatch what remains to be the largest crocodile ever captured or killed in Australia, a monstrous 28-foot croc.
“One Shot” became Krystyna Pawlowski’s famous nickname, and the family found fortune hunting crocodiles.

Hogzilla and Monster Pigs
There has been a noticeable increase in the number of media stories involving wild or feral hogs in recent years. The latest story at the time of this writing is of a lethal attack in Chambers County, Texas by feral hogs on a woman arriving to work in the early hours of November 24, 2019.
“Feral swine are the same species, Sus scrofa, as pigs that are found on farms. Feral swine are descendants of escaped or released pigs. Feral swine are called by many names including; wild boar, wild hog, razorback, piney woods rooter, and Russian or Eurasian boar.
No matter the name they are a dangerous, destructive, invasive species. Feral swine were first brought to the United States in the 1500s by early explorers and settlers as a source of food. Repeated introductions occurred thereafter.
The geographic range of this destructive species is rapidly expanding and its populations are increasing across the nation.”
United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service
Feral hogs, as their domesticated counterparts, if given sufficient food and cover can grow very large. To get an idea of how potentially large a feral hog can get, here’s a domestic analogy. Big Bill was raised from the runt of the litter into a record-smashing 2,552-pound hog. Big Bill’s incredible weight was validated in the Guinness Book of World Records. Bill met an untimely death in 1933 at the age of 3 while en route to the Chicago World’s Fair. He was subsequently stuffed and put on display as his titanic carcass changed hands to various individuals willing to haul his earthly shell around for a quick buck.

Domesticated hogs are not usually raised to achieve such great weights, as an agricultural commodity, larger pigs are more difficult to house, transport and slaughter. Moreover, younger, smaller hogs are more appealing to the meat industry and have generally better quality than older, larger market hogs. However, the outbreak of African swine fever has decimated the pork industry in China, and some Chinese pork producers are beginning to raise hogs “heavy as polar bears” in order to counter the significant losses of their pigs to disease.
Hogzilla male hybrid of wild hog and domestic pig that was shot and killed by Chris Griffin in Alapaha, Georgia. On June 17, 2004, on Ken Holyoak’s fish farm and hunting reserve, Griffin shot the beast and reported it to be at least 12 feet long and over 1,000 lbs. Photos of the kill went viral and caused an overnight media sensation.
A forensic investigation of the animal was conducted revealing it was around 8.6 feet long and approximately 800 lbs. Although this diminished the initial report, “Hogzilla” was still an unusually large specimen.

Giants of the Deep: Giant Squid
Maritime legends depict all manner of sea monsters from the terrifying to the fantastic. One of the most famous monsters from the lore of seafarer’s is the Kraken. Described as a giant, multi-tentacled cephalopod that could wrap its incredibly strong arms around any vessel it desired and drag it and her occupants to the depths of the ocean. Many now believe that the Kraken of sailor’s stories are most likely sightings of the Giant Squid, genus Architeuthis.
Giant Squid usually reside deep in all of the world’s oceans, and are rarely seen near the surface. It is estimated that Giant Squid can reach lengths of over 40 feet long and they have the largest eyes in the animal world. However, being so elusive and mysterious, it is impossible to tell how big Giant Squid are capable of growing. One of the best video close encounters with the giant squid occurred on Christmas Eve 2015 in Toyama Bay, Japan (video clip below) when a juvenile made a rare visit to surface waters.

Giant Discovery Channel Hoaxes vs Real Giant Sharks
youtube
Remember when MTV played music videos? Also remember when the Discovery Channel used to feature science documentaries and not “mockumentaries” like Animal Planet’s “Mermaids” embarrassment? During “Shark Week” in 2013, the Discovery Channel aired a segment called “Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives.” In the segment, there is a grainy photo that you may have seen floating around the internet.
Still from “Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives”
The photo was alleged to be taken on December 18, 1942 near Capre Town, South Africa gathered by “Nazi archives” and displays a dorsal and tail fin behind a few U-boats with a measurement marker of 64 feet. Without knowing the documentary was fictional, many viewers assumed this photo was powerful evidence for the existence of the Megalodon in modern times. However, there were also those who questioned the photo, and ultimately proved it to be phony.
George Monbiot of the Guardian began investigating the claims made by the Discovery Channel show, and with a little help from his readers, managed to debunk the photo as a total fabrication.
“Before I wrote the article I conducted an image search, and found nothing. Now I know why. It wasn’t a still picture. A sharp-eyed reader found the frame in some footage of U-boats on Tarrif.net. The footage was shot in the Atlantic. Take a look 12 seconds in.
It’s the same shot. But guess what? No shark. And no swastika. And not off Cape Town. Or anywhere near.
I wrote to the company handling media inquiries, putting it to them that the production company which made the film, Pilgrim Studios, doctored the image and misled the audience. I have not heard back from them.”

Another photo that has been misrepresented as a Megalodon is the now-famous “Sleeper Shark” video. Having been re-edited and re-packaged by YouTube as “The Mariana Trench Megalodon,”
The Pacific Sleeper Shark
The claims that this is a shark of stupendous size comes from the assertion that the cage in question was a large diving cage when in acttuality it is a small bait cage designed to draw in sharks and fish within the range of the camera. Also, this was not filmed in the Mariana Trench, the encounter was actually recorded by a submersible in Japan’s Suruga Bay and uploaded in 2008 (see video below).

Thete are many historical accounts of giant Great Whites. In the 1870s, a 36 ft specimen was captured in southern Australian waters, near Port Fairy, and an 37 ft shark was trapped in a herring weir in New Brunswick, Canada, in the 1930s. Both of those size estimations remain unverified. However, there are still giants that roam the water to this day.
The largest Great White ever captured on video so far has been Deep Blue, and she’s our modern equivalent to a real-life “Jaws” with the exception that she’s pretty tolerable about having divers around her. Deep Blue is approximately 20 feet long and weighs an estimated 2 tons, making her the largest known Great Whites sharks alive. She’s estimated to be around 50 years old and the first documented encounter with this particular shark was about 20 years ago.

The Lake Michigan Mothman: High Strangeness in the Midwest
This book represents over two years of research by a dedicated team of investigators who have taken dozens of reports of a weird, winged humanoid seen around Lake Michigan. Author and investigator Tobias Wayland has collected these reports for the first time in one volume, along with his analysis and insider perspective as a member of the investigative team. The phenomena described within represent the continuation of a decades-long series of events first recorded in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in the late ’60s, but that has likely been with humanity since our advent, and seems just as likely to be with us until our end.

X-Files Fic: Reminiscence, Chapter One
Timeline: Post-revival, but assuming that “My Struggle II” never happened. Rating: PG, for language only. Summary: This fic was prompted by an awesome video by the amazing @mulderswaterbed, which you can watch here. Mulder wakes one morning to find that Scully has disappeared, and is told- by those he trusts- that she has been dead for over twenty years. All of the evidence- and even Mulder’s own memories- seem to back it up. But is it true? Or can Mulder not trust anyone- himself included?
A quick note: Plenty of y’all are going to be SCREAMING at me when you finish this chapter, but please, stay with me! I promise not to steer you wrong!
In his dreams, there are flashing lights, loud noises, the high, keening sound of the wind, and, he could swear, someone calling his name in a panic... though it could have just been more wind. He wakes once, barely, just enough to register that it's storming outside, raining instead of snowing because it's been a warm winter.
When he wakes for the day, hours later, her side of the bed is cold, empty, the covers pulled up to the pillow and tightly tucked in. He tries to think back to the conversation they'd had before bed- had she said anything about leaving early? He could have sworn they'd decided to drive to work together today. He retrieves his smartphone from the nightstand, but there are no new texts, no missed phone calls. He rolls onto his back with a groan, staring up at the badly cracked ceiling that he's been meaning to re-plaster for years.
He tells himself that maybe she'd discovered, upon waking, that she'd forgotten something important at her apartment back in DC, and she hadn't wanted to wake him up when she'd realized she'd have to go home before heading to the Hoover building. Or maybe she'd discovered that he'd run out of coffee earlier this week, and she's making a quick Starbucks run so that she doesn't have to begin the day sans caffeine.
Maybe she's on her way back here, even now.
But when seven-thirty has come and gone, and Mulder has showered, shaved, and donned his suit for the day, and there's still no sign of Scully, he has to conclude that, whatever the reason, she must have decided to leave the house before he'd woken up.
Without telling him.
Mulder tries to remember if there's anything he might have said, at work or after, the previous evening, that could have offended her, could have made her decide to leave in the middle of the night... but, oddly enough, he's having a hard time remembering anything that happened at work at all, and nothing from when they'd arrived back at the house. He remembers her sitting across from him at the desk in their office, frowning down at something- a report?- and pushing a lock of long hair out of her face, rolling her eyes at something ridiculous he'd said.
Wait.
Long hair?
He shakes his head sharply. He must not be getting enough sleep, if his brain is this scrambled.
At seven-forty-five, with his tie done up and his briefcase packed, Mulder concludes that he can't wait any longer to see if Scully is coming back before work. Just to be safe, he pulls his phone out of his pocket, holds down the home key, and instructs it: "Call Scully."
An electronic chime, a beat, and then the infuriatingly unhelpful digital voice states, "I don't see 'Scully' in your contacts. Should I look for a location by that name?" Mulder swears and fully unlocks the phone, goes to his contact list, and scrolls down, to find...
...nothing.
There's "Scully, Margaret," because he's felt an awful pang every time he's gone to delete Maggie's number (and it's only been a couple of weeks, anyway), but no "Scully, Dana." Swearing again, he switches to the keypad and enters her number from memory.
"The number you have reached is not a working number. Please hang up and try again." He frowns at his phone, completely mystified now. Has he mis-typed it? No, there it is, clear as day. What the hell?
One way or another, he's got an hour's drive to get to work, and he needs to leave now. Whatever's going on, he'll get to the office, see Scully, and get it sorted out. Knowing his luck, his phone's malfunctioning again. He's never quite gotten the hang of operating these things; he'd liked it much better when all he'd had to do to get connected to his entire world had been to hold down the "1" key and wait for her to pick up.
------------------------
Mulder's beat-up pickup truck pulls into the parking garage five minutes after nine o'clock. He'd made a stop for coffee, both one for him and one for Scully, and had needed to step out of the line for several minutes because, suddenly, he couldn't remember how she takes it. Black? He didn't think that was right. Cream and sugar? Nonfat milk, no sugar? That last had sounded the most likely, so he'd gone with that. But to forget his partner's coffee order after twenty-four years... something is clearly wrong in his head this morning.
The office is locked and dark when he reaches it, and his sense of unease deepens further. Scully is always on time. Has been as long as he's known her.
With worry over Scully forming a tight ball in the pit of his stomach, Mulder fires up the computer and checks his e-mail. Nothing out of the ordinary is waiting for him- Agent Miller has sent him an article on cryptids that he'd found interesting, as he's done a number of times since their meeting after the bombing in Texas, and there's the usual warning from the system administrator that his inbox is over its capacity, advising that he needs to delete older messages. He gets the same notice at least once a month; he's terrible at cleaning out his e-mails. Normally Scully has to remind him to do it.
Scully.
He frowns to himself. It's already nine-thirty and she's still not here. He glances at his phone again, but there's nothing. On the exceedingly rare occasions she's been late or taken a sick day before, she's always called, once to him and once to Skinner, to let them both know ahead of time. He tries her number again, but gets the same non-working number message. He opens his texts, preparing to ask her if she's okay (even though she won't so much as look at it if she's on the road- no matter what sounds her phone makes, if she's driving, it remains in her purse, on the floor), but is further confused when his entire text conversation with her is nowhere to be found.
He nearly hurls the phone against the wall. What is going on with this thing? What else has it randomly decided to delete? Mulder has other important things on here, saved e-mails and bookmarked websites, documents he's forwarded from the office so that he can have them on hand whenever he needs them, and if his phone is going to suddenly start losing information, it's going to be a problem.
Mulder enters Scully's number manually, and types, "Where are you? Everything okay?" into the window. After a moment's hesitation, he adds a little worried face (or at least, he thinks it's a worried face; emojis are a foreign language to him), hoping to keep the tone light. He doesn't want her to think he's obsessing, freaking out and jumping to the worst possible conclusion, when there's probably a perfectly rational explanation for all of this.
Seconds after he sends the text, it bounces back, with a message: "Error: not delivered."
It must be the phone. Clearly, he needs a new one. He reaches for the office phone sitting on the corner of his desk, gets an outside line, and dials Scully's number.
"The number you have reached is not a working number. Please hang up and-"
He slams the phone down.
What the hell is going on?
Mulder glances up at the clock again. Nine-forty-five. Screw it, he thinks to himself, standing abruptly and grabbing his overcoat. He's driving over to her apartment. If nothing is wrong, if she's just late and hasn't called, or she's taking a sick day, she's going to be annoyed with him for overreacting... but he'd rather risk her wrath than have something really be wrong, have her needing his help, and not be around to provide it.
He's prepared to throw a half-baked excuse at Skinner, or anyone else he might run into on his way out to his truck, but no one takes any notice of him. He manages to stay reasonably close to the speed limit, and to his great relief, there's a parking space big enough for his truck readily available right in the front of her building. He kills the engine, leaps out, and jogs up her front steps. Someone is exiting the building as he's entering, and he manages to catch the door before it swings shut, eliminating the need to have her buzz him in- as well as the need to use the keys that, he realizes, he's left in his briefcase at work.
The elevator is on another floor, and rather than wait for it, Mulder jogs up to the third floor and down the hall, stopping at Scully's door. He raps sharply, but for a moment, there's no answer. His heart in his throat, he knocks again. "Scully, it's me," he calls. "Open up, okay?" There's still no answer. Could she be in there, injured? Fell in the shower this morning, maybe? He pounds on the door again, aware that he's probably disturbing her neighbors. "Come on, Scully, open the door!"
He's just turning away, deciding to find the super and flash his badge to get him to open the door, when there's the clunk of locks turning, the rattle of the chain being removed, the creak of the door opening. "Thank God," says Mulder, turning back. "I was just about to-" His words freeze in his throat.
It's not Scully.
Standing in the doorway, looking completely bewildered (and not a little afraid), is an elderly woman Mulder's never seen before.
"Can I help you?" she asks, not opening the door all the way.
"I... I'm sorry," Mulder stammers. "I must have the wrong...." He glances back at the number on the door. No, this is definitely Scully's apartment. "Are you a relative of Dana's?" Maybe the woman is an aunt who's dropped in for a surprise visit, and that's what's keeping Scully. But no, the woman looks politely confused.
"Who?"
"Dana Scully," Mulder says insistently. "The woman who lives here."
"I think you have the wrong apartment," the elderly woman says, and begins to close the door. Mulder throws out an arm to stop her.
"No, please, I know I have the right address!" he insists. "I'm looking for my partner, Dana Scully. She's lived here for the past year and a half, and she didn't show up to work today, and I'm trying to-"
"I've lived here for the past four years, young man," says the woman, pushing the door against Mulder's arm. "Please leave, or I'll have to call the police." Mulder withdraws his arm, reluctantly, and the woman slams the door. He hears the locks falling back into place, and he steps back, pacing up and down the hallway, completely at a loss. What had started out as unease is quickly descending into full-blown terror.
Scully is missing. He has no idea where she is. And someone else is living in her apartment.
Mulder's head is spinning. He feels sick. He races back down to the lobby and out the front doors, hoping that the cold February air will shock him back to sanity and make everything make sense again... but all he feels is a rising sense of panic.
Skinner, he thinks to himself, racing to his truck and jumping in shoving the key roughly into the ignition. He has to find Skinner and tell him what's going on. If something has happened to Scully, Skinner will want to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible. He'll throw the full resources of the Bureau into it, Mulder knows he will.
Skinner will help him figure it out.
-------------------------
Skinner's assistant (Kimberly left ages ago and Mulder can never remember her replacement's name) isn't at her desk, so Mulder goes straight to the office door and pounds on it.
"Come in," calls a gruff voice from within, and Mulder throws open the door and races in. The Deputy Director is seated at his desk.
"Sir," he says. "There's a problem." Skinner frowns.
"What is it, Agent Mulder?"
"Scully's missing," he says, struggling to keep the panic out of his voice. "She was at the house last night when I went to sleep, but she was gone when I woke up this morning." He can't read the expression on Skinner's face at all, but it's not a good one. He's not sure why the idea of Scully being with him last night would be upsetting; hadn't they lived together for years before she'd moved out? They have a son together, for Christ's sake. Now is not the time for Skinner to suddenly have a problem with all of this. Mulder forges ahead. "I thought maybe she'd just left early to get ready for work at home, but she never showed up this morning. Never called or anything. I couldn't get through to her on her cell phone, so I drove out to her apartment, and...." He shakes his head, still unable to make sense of the morning's events. "There's a woman there, in her apartment, a total stranger, and she says she's been living there for four years." Skinner is still silent, still looking at him with that unreadable- but frightening- expression. "Something's happened, Sir. She's in trouble. I can feel it. We have to-"
"Agent Mulder," Skinner interrupts, his voice icy cold, "is this some sort of sick joke?" Mulder's mouth drops open.
"A joke? Sir, I don't-"
"Because if it is," Skinner continues, standing slowly, "I assure you, it is in very poor taste." Now Mulder understands: Skinner thinks he and Scully are pranking him, pretending something's happened to her in order to rile him up. And Mulder has to agree that if that were what he's trying to do, it would be in poor taste. Scully's gone missing before, after all.
"No, Sir, I promise," says Mulder urgently. "It's not a joke. I would never joke about something like that. Scully's missing and we need to find her before something-"
"Agent Mulder," says Skinner, walking out from behind his desk, exuding a cold fury Mulder hasn't felt directed at him in over twenty years, "Dana Scully was shot and killed twenty-three years ago in 1994."
The world around Mulder spins alarmingly. He reels back as though Skinner's words have literally struck him. Staggering slightly to the side, his hand comes to rest on the arm of one of the two chairs sitting in front of Skinner's desk, and he looks down at it, uncomprehending.
And suddenly, Mulder is assaulted with a memory. Distant, hazy, but still there. Skinner's old office, when he'd been assistant director, their boss for less than a year. Mulder closes his eyes as the images flash before him.
A much younger Skinner, sitting in the other chair, hanging his head. His hand on Mulder's shoulder... because Mulder is sobbing, his entire body shaking. His suit jacket has been lost somewhere along the way, and his dress shirt is covered in blood. Blood that's not his. His chest is aching, is heart is completely broken and shattered, because Scully is... Scully is....
No.
Mulder shakes his head, and the image dissolves. Skinner is standing in front of him, looking more concerned now than angry.
"Agent Mulder?" His voice is cautious, worried. "What's going on?" But Mulder scarcely hears him. Skinner reaches out to clasp Mulder's arm, but he rips away, turning and tearing out of Skinner's office.
Just like at Scully's apartment building, he foregoes the elevator and flies down the stairs, not stopping until he reaches the basement. He pounds along the hallway, digging his keys out of his pocket as he goes... but when he reaches the office door, he finds it standing open, the lights on. He catches his breath. Is she here? No, the office is empty. Maybe Skinner had come down earlier, looking for him.
Mulder dashes to the file cabinet in the corner and jerks open the bottom drawer. Everything prior to 1998 had been lost in the fire, but he and Scully have spent years retrieving backup copies from every possible source. And the one he's searching for had been so important, had touched so many different divisions and individuals, that getting their hands on another copy had been no problem at all.
It's filed in the S's, under "Scully, Dana." Initially, it had been in the B's, under "Barry, Duane," but later, after the episode with Jerse, after her cancer, after Emily, and Ruskin Dam, Mulder had consolidated everything into one file so that Scully would not constantly be stumbling over her own history, no matter which drawer she opened.
Even as he seizes the file in his hands and rips it out of the drawer, he knows something is wrong. The file is much, much too thin. He flips it open, and the first thing he sees is that hated photograph, the enlarged, pixelated, black-and-white picture of Scully stuffed into the trunk of a car, staring up in abject terror at her captor. He shoves it to the side, unwilling to look at it for a second longer than he has to. Underneath is a typed-up report, one whose opening paragraphs he recognizes, and he pulls it out.
The beginning is familiar enough: Agent Dana Scully was abducted from her apartment by Duane Barry following his escape from the hospital earlier that same night. She had been in the process of leaving a message for Mulder at the time, and her abduction had been recorded on his answering machine. Lifting the report slightly, he can see a copy of the tape resting underneath. Barry had come back on the FBI's radar after killing a police officer who had stopped him while driving, and camera footage had captured Scully in the trunk of Barry's car. Mulder had deduced- correctly- that Barry had been taking Scully to Skyland Mountain, scene of his own earlier abduction, and had raced there to try and intercept him.
But here, the written account diverges from what Mulder remembers.
In Mulder's memory, he had arrived scant moments too late and had found Duane Barry shrieking his victory to an empty sky, with Scully nowhere to be found. He had taken Barry into custody, where the man had eventually died.
In the report, Mulder had come on the scene and had found Barry waiting for him, Scully clutched in front of him, a gun held to her temple. Mulder had tried to talk to Barry, to calm him down...
...and suddenly, it's happening again, just like in Skinner's office, moments ago. The memory is foggy and distorted... but he can see Duane Barry, standing in the hilltop clearing, his face wild and deranged. Scully stands before him, bound and gagged, a livid bruise on her cheek and tears in her terrified eyes. Mulder tries to keep his voice calm, soothing, but it's hard, so hard, with his partner standing there, looking as though Barry's arm around her chest is all that's holding her up.
He says something wrong.
Mulder doesn't know what it is that sets Barry off. All he knows is that the gun in Barry's hand fires, there's the bright flash of the muzzle, and Scully slumps. Barry releases her and she falls ungracefully to the ground, and less than a second later Barry, too, falls, as Mulder shoots him straight through the forehead.
Mulder sees all of this in his mind, but he does not believe it. He can't believe it. That's not how it happened.
But there, at the bottom of the report, is his signature. He wrote this. He signed it. He tucked it into this file, with....
"Oh, Jesus," Mulder moans to himself, as he looks into the bottom of the file. They would have given Scully's personal effects to her family, of course, but this, this they could not have given back, because technically, it's the property of the FBI.
From under all of the papers, Mulder withdraws a slim, leather case, and opens it.
Scully's FBI badge. Her identification. Her young, earnest face, just as it had looked when she had shaken his hand in 1993.
Mulder lurches across the office, falling to his knees in front of the trash can next to his desk and vomiting into it. He feels too weak to stand, and breathing through the pain constricting his chest feels almost impossible. He's barely aware of the sound of high heels clicking down the hallway outside, barely cognizant that someone is standing in the office doorway, until they speak.
"Fox?"
There are very few things that could penetrate the state of shock that Mulder is in... but this voice is definitely one of them. Because he hasn't heard this voice since 1999. He jerks to his feet and staggers back, against the wall. He shouldn't be hearing this voice. He can't be hearing it, because its owner is-
But she's not dead. She's standing in the office doorway, looking at him with concern and worry in her eyes.
"Fox," says Diana Fowley, "what on earth is going on?"

isadelavega:
Isa pondered for a moment about his question, trying to find the right word to answer him, and then he jokingly suggested schlub and she had to let out a laugh. “Yeah, let’s go with schlub,” she nodded.
“Well, they definitely right about the dying part,“ Isa couldn’t help but agreed on that part. Thankfully it didn’t die too fast - delivering mail wasn’t her dream job, but she did get relatively good money for it and until her career skyrocketed and she started making tons and tons of money, this was an acceptable alternative.
Isa grew more and more curious and uneasy about this mysterious package at the same time as Iann kept talking about it. Curious because what kind of package can be so important and so precious to make it this big of a mess to get it to one person and one person only. But she didn’t like the idea of how this buddy of his made the package be this aware of what is happening with it and could respond in such ways, nor did she like the idea that she could potentially get hurt or screwed over.
The favor did sound extremely appealing, though. It was always good to have a few people around she could turn to if something went awry and she needed a quick fix that she couldn’t do herself.
“How do I know the package won’t just eat the rest of the mail if I am not fast enough or attack me with some weird logic to get itself quicker to you?”
When Iann asked to clarify if she was talking about a play, she exclaimed loudly, “Yes! Of course in a theatre play! They are magical and takes the audience on an incredible journey every single time. Well, almost, there are unfortunate failures, of course. I take it you’re not a big theatre fan?” Theatre had its own magic, just because it wouldn’t have been her first choice, didn’t mean she didn’t bask in all the excitement and love she got once the curtains rolled and the audience burst into clapping.
“You should definitely change that, you know. Theatre is fun, exciting. Magic - not actual magic, the magic of storytelling, good characters, performances, tears, laughter and everything in between -, happening right in front of your eyes.”
As Isa agreed about the demise of the USPS, Iann’s gaze idly dragged down her figure, to her toes and back up. His once-over wasn’t lecherous or admire, it had an almost clinical, cool assessment. He was suddenly curious about Isa’s species; for some reason Isa giving a damn about her job’s company led Iann to wonder what she was. A sea witch maybe? Seafolk generally wouldn’t care about landfolk mail service. Unless of course she’d spent a lot of time on land...maybe some sort of postage nymph; that would be amusing.
He met her eyes again when she asked about his package rampaging her other innocent mail. “Ah - that’s the beauty of it. So long as it’s in transit, then it’ll be a-okay.” Iann grinned, motioning with his hands as he talked. “Granted, at one point it was stuck in a depot in Des Moines and the news tabloids reported the next morning they’d discovered that a mysterious ‘wild animal’ seemed to have destroyed half the post in the depot...somehow my package remained in tact.”
Leaning back proudly, Iann bragged, “And I may have dropped some hints on a couple paranormal subreddits and forums that it was the work of some cryptid. I mean - it’s kind of true...”
But he was digressing, having too much fun now just shooting the breeze with Isa just for the sake of it. Anything to ingratiate himself to her more, so she’d agree. And she seemed happy to do the same, regaling him about theatre. Iann washed one sandy hand in the surf, Iann rubbed at his scruffy chin.
“I dunno man...sitting in like, one place for over two hours? Watching people prancing around on stage pretending to be someone they’re not? I’m not sure I can hold my attention that long. Just how good an actress are you?” Iann smirked and pointed at Isa.
“Ah! But okay if there was real magic in your play, I might be all over that. I fucking love showy magic...uh...shows.”

$6,000 STIMULUS CHECK TO BUY BITCOIN – INSANE REDDIT NEWS – [CRAZY BULLISH]
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
Today in crypto, everyone in the United States might be getting a six thousand dollar check in the mail, which is going to be pretty gosh darn awesome for Bitcoin. Read it releases crypto tokens on a theorem and on-chain data, as well as technical indicators, are all showing that the market is looking insanely bullish. The crypto lark. This is where you subscribe for your Daily Dose of Hope UAM and all of the hottest and the latest happening out there in crypto land. Also, for those of you who are new to crypto and you still need help mastering the basics like how and where to buy Bitcoin, how to send Bitcoin, how to store your Bitcoin, how to mine Bitcoin, as well as the top tips in resources for successfully investing in this wild market. Then check out my beginner course, cryptocurrency explained. There’s a link down below where you can learn more. So let’s go ahead and dive into the charts to get started off with. Bitcoin has had a very strong day showing a strong push continuing from our bounce off of the 200 days moving average just a few days ago, which is definitely a technically bullish sign that we are seeing forming up in the markets right now. Now, the price did top out today at nine thousand nine hundred forty-three dollars, the time recording this video before getting rejected again near that ten thousand dollar mark. Now, also at the time, recording Bitcoin is slowly grinding upward again. After that rejection on the shorter timeframes, we see a bullish pennant forming up that we could see breaking upwards to again retest ten thousand dollars for a second time today. Ten thousand dollars remains an absolutely key number for Bitcoin to crash. It has been a very important price line for Bitcoin. Even more important than twenty thousand dollars really ever has been. And after we win the fight to break into hold ten thousand dollars, we immediately run into another monster at ten thousand five hundred dollars. So it could be a rough time ahead, trying to break into hold above these two critical price levels. On the higher timeframes, we can see the 50 weeks moving average. Now actually acting as a line of support for Bitcoin, which is a very, very strong indicator on those higher timeframes. And it also shows really just the wider market strength that we see building up. Again, though, Bitcoin is struggling to break into hold above that trend line on the weekly that has suppressed the market for over two years. They’ve been testing that a lot recently. So hopefully a break of that line is going to becoming. It’s seeming increasingly likely that that is where we are headed. The weekly Mack D is currently on a strong bullish trajectory as well. That is a rare event that usually signifies a strong upward trending market and back over on the daily. We might be only a few days away from the fabled Golden Cross, which could really unleash the bulls when it happens. We had a false golden cross earlier this year and then, of course, the whole Mexican beer thing happened and that kind of killed that momentum. But hopefully, this one holds up moving forward. Of course, this could all break down again. I will keep saying it as long as we maintain above the 200-day moving average, then this market is bullish. If we break below that, well, you know, story, the 2017 run literally saw the price of Bitcoin maintained above the 200 days moving average for more than two years straight. Some to think about. So this could happen again. Be ready. A big thank you to Krypto dot com for sponsoring today’s episode. The next syndicate event has been announced on May 26. So you’ll be able to grab a bag of icon with a massive 50 percent discount. So for all those icon fans out there, this is a good offer for you. Remember that you’ll need to stake S.R.O. tokens to be able to participate. And of course, you need to go over and register for an account on the cryptid dot com exchange, not the app. And speaking of the app, Krypto dot com just brought out a new asset allocation feature for the app. So now you can easily get an overview of your entire portfolio in just one click, which is a nice little bonus feature that makes using the cryptid dot com app just that little bit better. And of course, if you want to start earning some sweet Krypto back rewards, and that is a great time to get the wildly popular Krypto dot com debit card, the two best options are the ruby red card, which gives you two percent Krypto back for every swipe of your card, as well as free Spotify or the Jade Green card, which is when I have my hand here, which gives you three percent Krypto back rewards for every swipe the card free Spotify, free Netflix, an airport lounge access. And as a special bonus, if you use the link Downbelow to reserve a ruby red tier card or higher than you will get a free fifty dollar bonus. Yep, 50 bucks of free money for getting one of these bad boys. So let’s start talking about the bullish bitcoin market data that has been coming up recently. Almost 24000 Bitcoin have been withdrawn from exchanges since the Bitcoin having, which is actually a continuation of a trend that started back in mid-April as we saw more retail buyers coming into the market. This is obviously a very significant amount of Bitcoin, and it could indicate that investors are taking responsibility for their crypto, not trusting exchanges to hold it for them, which is a good thing. And course, possible that a large number of new users simply have come in over the previous weeks and bought Bitcoin with the intention of holding it long term, waiting for the next big run to come in before actually cashing out. Now, another very bullish data point is the active supply of Bitcoin, which has just reached a three year high, indicating a huge amount of on-chain activity for Bitcoin. You can see quite clearly on the chart here, the last time that we had a massive run-up like this was during the heavy accumulation period that preceded the previous insane parabolic market rally back in twenty seventeen, meaning that when we do see this trend reverse, that it will likely mean that the bull market is actually starting to lift off on its journey to the moon. Right now, we’re just firing up the engines. We are in that accumulation phase still for Bitcoin. But it also says to me that we’re nearing the end of that accumulation phase. So act accordingly. You have had two years to buy Bitcoin at cheap prices. It’s not going to last forever. And also, a very interesting piece of data for you is that the percentage of Bitcoin mining revenue generated from transaction fees reached thirteen point one percent yesterday. That’s the highest it’s been since January. Twenty eighteen. Now, this is partial, of course, because the Bitcoin having has reduced the block reward and also partially because we’ve seen on-chain fees going up, which is not a particularly awesome thing and is good for the miners, but not as awesome for the actual users. One is sent Bitcoin for point A to point B. All that on-chain activity we’re seeing has been creating too much demand for block space and of course, is pushing the fees up with it. Today, fees are almost four dollars. Another factor, support the huge amount of interest growing in Bitcoin right now is that Google search trends for the term buy bitcoin have seen massive growth recently, now exceeding the highs of the summer of 2019. During the many Bullrun that we had so Hoddle on my friends, now is the time for stacking. Now is the time for chilling. We’re gonna be doing crazy things over the next couple years. Next up, Reddit is introducing about 20 million people to cryptocurrency. They’re releasing two tokens, one named moons and the other named BRICS. The tokens will be issued to members of just only two Subrata to start off with those, not the whole Reddit community. So it’s four. Our slash cryptocurrency and our slash Fortnights B are as part of red. It’s a new initiative called Community Points. Both of these tokens will be E RC. Twenty tokens, of course, issued on the theorem blockchain with Reddit implementing what is going to be called the Redditt vault, essentially in theory and wallet where the tokens will be stored. This is currently on theorems test net, not the main net yet. The test net but. Wow. Seriously, wow. The scope of this is just it’s absolutely insane. Reddit, it has four hundred and thirty million daily users. It is the seventh most visited the site on the Internet and 64 percent of red its users are aged between 18 and 24. Just stopped. Let those statistics sink into your head for a second. Read it. One of the most popular Web sites in the world just announced their trial of a theorem based tokens for the next generation of Internet users. Look around the curve, not where we are today. This is mine. Bending bullish for a theorem. I am still stacking my ethe up. The thing is, it’s gonna go back over a thousand dollars coin. It’s already accomplished by. The question of when bumping up. But don’t happen as soon as we like it too. Because in much less encouraging a theorem news, Retallack Budarin is now walking back comments that Ethe 2.0 will be coming out in July. Apparently the multi-client test net approach is slowing things down, which kind of not surprised. Now, of course, they’re talking about, well, maybe it’s going to happen sometime later this year, maybe even 2021. Anyone who’s watching a theory and for a while knows that theorem to point to them plagued by delays. Look, I understand it’s hard to change the engine in a car that’s going down the road doing a hundred without stopping the car. This is the magic trick that a theorem is trying to pull off right now. And look, that upgrade, that upgrade cannot come soon enough. The pressure on theorem developers to deliver is massive right now, and they only have one chance to really get this right. So let’s go back just for one second of that previous news story is that it really ties in with this when read, it fully rolls out their tokens on the theory, the main net. It could be Krypto kiddies all over again. Imagine millions of people trying to create wallets to transfer those tokens to cash out those tokens. Send those folks, impersonate a person, be it could get real crazy real quick. Fees have already been spiking on theory and recently read it. It could just push it through the roof. Ethe 2.0 needs to happen. A. S a p. Get busy Retallack. And finally, if you live in the USA, then you might be getting a new round of stimulus checks money for everyone. Another three trillion dollar crisis package has been proposed in the USA. Note this is a proposal. This bill has not been passed yet. The final version could be different, but if it is passed in its current form, then families could receive up to six thousand dollars. So that’s 12 hundred dollars per adult and twelve hundred dollars per kid, up to three kids. So it’s a household check. Remember when the first round of 12 hundred dollar checks came, Coinbase actually saw a big spike in deposits of exactly twelve hundred dollars? Well, my guess is that there are enough people out there in the economy who are doing okay. When they get that check, they’re going to take it and dump it into. Well, Bitcoin and other investments, of course, but potentially a lot of money, again, coming into Bitcoin. But like most of these bills, the final version of the bill, probably just some crumbs for the regular people and more free money for Wall Street and course for the mega-corporations. They always seem to get the lion’s share of any of these packages that come out. That was the way it was for the other four bills. I don’t see why it would be any different for this one. But aside from just some people buying Bitcoin, I think this is good for Bitcoin because honestly, I have lost all sense of the money being thrown around in the USA. The numbers are just it’s impossible to comprehend. Just last week, the U.S. Treasury borrowed three trillion dollars. The week before, it was hundreds of billions of dollars more for small businesses. The week before, that was infinite bailouts for the oil industry. This is insane. Trillions upon, trillions upon trillions of dollars being spent, printed, airdropped, handed out corporations bailing out Wall Street, buying junk bonds. They don’t even know how much money it is anymore. It’s just insanity. And this is all good for Bitcoin because how the dollar actually comes out of the situation in one piece. I don’t see how that happens. This is not going to end well at some point. The effects of the growing debt and the massive inflation, the corporatism and the corruption and just the general fiscal insanity that we see, particularly from the U.S. central bank, those evil roosters are going to come home to roost at some point. And it’s not going to be pretty. And when all this happens, being a Bitcoin holder is going to be a good feeling. So aside from some people maybe whose estimates secretaries buy Bitcoin. This is good for the macro picture of Bitcoin. So your question for today, if you get a cheque for six thousand dollars in the mail from your government, would you spend it all on Bitcoin? Maybe you would spend it on another crypto, maybe go buy some light coin with America, buy some stocks or some gold? Or would you actually go and use that money to pay bills and buy food and all that kind of stuff? Let me know, Downbelow. Seriously, you guys are freaking awesome. Your support means everything. This channel is not possible without you. So thank you so, so much for continued sports channel being part of the community. You’re freaking awesome. Thank you so much. Long live the blockchain and peace out till next time.
