Okay, first of all, this is not a hating Shinichiro post. I swear it. This is just me having brain riot and thinking in how many times Shin was a questionable example for kids and teens around him and how we seem to forget about it but it's kinda hilarious when you put all of them together (except for Sanzu, that is never funny, my poor lil gremlin 😭)

I know most of this things were because he was also too young, oblivious and reckless. I know that, but it's funny to bully him with affection anyway 🙈

(and in the more serious ones, he was too dissociated and too out of everything, I know that too)

The amount of total disregard for Haruchiyo's mental health here is too much and should be a crime. The "keep the secret" part don't make it better. THE SHOWS ARE HOLDING BACK!!!

And by that I mean holding back on angst

I’m not just talking about TSAMS or TLAES, I’m talkin’ ALL SHOWS (granted, i haven’t watched all of the recent show things but I do know they haven’t been to angst)

Now, you might think, “oh stardust, but we’ve had lots of angst! I mean think of Cassie on TRWAGS-“

Yeah, Cassie, the only one who has recently had a lot of angst, and it was only really her being mad her phone wasn’t working and talking a bit about her dad (im not including The Musical btw). I also feel like we should’ve had a lot more Gregory angst after Rocky’s death. I mean Gregory blamed himself for that, it wouldn’t just go away. And Circus Baby should be had more angst after Gregory almost frickin died!!! The characters recover so quickly and just go back to their goofy normal lives. Obviously I won’t cover everything for these shows but some of my main thoughts.

“uh but what about Glamrock Chica on TFFAGCS?”

Not. Enough. Glamrock Chica was easily back to normal after blaming herself for their whole issue because of stuff out of her control, having an exstistential crisis after being kicked out of the PizzaPlex, getting a message from her parents she doesn’t remember and so on. Also if ANYONE is getting angst it should be Funtime Foxy and his brother. Funtime Foxy almost drowned when he was around 10, Fexy (the brother) tried to stab FT.Foxy while screaming “THIS IS MY BODY, I WANT IT BACK” because they were in the same body at some point, he and his brother burned their house down because when FT.Foxy was running away from his brother they knocked over candles, then his brother literally tried to commit s—-ide by not leaving the burning building and saying “if I can’t have this I’d rather die” so FT.Foxy had to drag him out the house, then Fexy got sent to a mental hospital/asylum/psych ward (idk which one exactly) and lots of other things. And we haven’t seen ANY Lolbit angst whatsoever. Don’t even get me started on Mangle or Ray. (You can just tell this is my favourite show, can’t you?)

Tbh I don’t watch that one alot but FT.Freddy Deffinetly has abondonment issues, as far as I know we never find out where that came from, Shadow Freddy had a bit of angst, Freddy is doing loads of things that I’m not bothered to say and ‘The Evil Gang’ or whatever their name is are another case of ‘comic relief villains’ I think.

Doesn’t the Root of Evil stuff come from ‘Helluva Boss’? Like at the end of “Murder Family” Martha said “May the Root of Evil remain honoured as we continue thy work!” before attempting to burn Millie and Blitzo, and then at the top of the burning pyre was the Root of Evil symbol, which continued to pop up as graffiti in the background of both ‘Hazbin Hotel’ and ‘Helluva Boss’, and also in the ‘Addict’ music video, where at the beginning Angel makes the shape of the symbol with his body?

YEAHHH. I think we may have seen the same post that was somebody trying to find all the hints towards Roo. (Cannot remember their user for the life of me). I THINK (and this is a big maybe) that Roo was also mentioned in a livestream/ interview? Either way it'd be odd to add that many hints and not do anything plot wise. (Ep 1 of Helluva boss came out years ago so it's possible the original plan was to like the two together (ish) with this one character as like an overarching thing. But now I think there'd be copyright issues with crossing them over bc one is on yt for free and amazon has the rights to the other. )

The root of all evil as a character is deffinetly something that would happen in a LATER series though. Which is why I think we don't have much info other than easer eggs yet. So far, it's not too late to cut Roo as a character if there was a rush or cut off point for renewals because the audience have little to no information at all.

Its also possible that Roo is a character meant for helluva boss! And the hazbin parts are the extras. Only reason why I think Roo being more influential in Hazbin is the more likely one is because Helluva seems to focus in more on individual characters with changing antagonists. A larger force/villain like Roo doesn't really fit if you get me.

The theory that Roo is the one that made a deal with Alastor could also fit into either of the "alastor is a massive fraud" and "alastor is super tough". Little evidence for this one though other than the eye motif (most prominently connected to Roo through the eyes watching lucifer as he falls into hell in the opening. The angels are watching him before but when he's in hell it seems like something more sinister is already there, and wondering what the hell (ha) an angel is doing in its territory) Alastor seems to be watched by them in a few scenes and his sheild over the hotel in the finale has them.

Fraud Al would be tempted to make a deal with Roo because hey, who better to get some REAL power from. (Also if Al is a fraud it checks out that he'd be even more cautious of entities more powerful than him, so it'd take a BIG offer to get him to agree to anything surely?)

Not fraud Al would do it out of greed for more, always more. Its also possible that Roo made a deal with Al when he was alive and then he made a deal with Lilith/Eve later on (so Roo is the explanation for his power, rather than a secondary thought). Martha knows enough about Roo in HB e1 to have the symbol and be confident in hunting down demons, so maybe Roo is contactable in some way.

There are unrelated appearances of similar eyes though. Sir pentious for example, so it could be grasping at straws. But damn if I don't love taking a fistful of the most curly bendy straws and trying to figure out how to drink through them.

The eye motif tying together Roo and the angels is also visual storytelling brilliance imo. The two sides of the same coin are litteraly staring each other in the face.

There's a lot you can do with the Roo theories but my favourite is just trying to tie them back into the main plot and what do you know! I can fit it in with both Alastor versions! An absolute win! =3

if you have identical twins, they are going to hate each other’s guts for 3/4s (or more) of the time. having somebody who looks just like you, living in the same house as you, probably going to the same school as you, who has the same birthday as you, and most likely sleeps in/super close to the room you sleep in? actual hell. especially if they have a lot of the same interests/friends as you do. this experience is horror in it’s rawest form. nobody wants this. they want the “close, happy twins who do EVERYTHING together and have since they were born!!!”

In the light of the whole doomsday arc and chaos I think it's important to like,,, clarify ? Some points ppl r makin even tho theyre prob not gonna see it.

Also!! This is all /roleplay and talking about the characters not the content creators

Yes, everyone has fucked up. That's what they're ALL going for, especially the ppl takin the lead when it comes to the writin of the script. Everyone is a fucked up character and everyone is a good character with the exception of Dream.

Now to get some more in depth:

Let's start with c!Tubbo. Since the beginning he's been put into tight and bad situations. Watching his friends get exiled, being made a spy for the sake of Intel to win a war which is So Much Pressure, eventually fighting in said war, being made president of the revolutionized country but then immedietly having to rebuild it, later be manipulated to exile his beat friend and brother in arms etc etc. It's a lot of trauma and greif, it's not false to call him a child solider because that's exactly what he is. Schlatt was right, the moment he died the country was doomed, wether that be from Pogtopia, Technoblade, Dream or the inevitability that the leadership would fall onto Tubbo. He's not infallible and he's not experienced. He's a severely Traumatised teenager. But this doesn't necessarily make him a good person.

Next is c!Technoblade because I have some Opinions. He's a fucked up character. Just like everyone else, just in a more transparent way. A lot of the characters hide the bad things they've done in a way to preserve moral righteousness and such. Technoblade has always been clear and transparent he wants nothing more than anarchy, chaos and the fall of L'manburg. Now, acts of terrorism aren't good, they're pretty fucked up. The great thing about his character is that he's so goddman complex. Just like Tubbo and Tommy he's been wronged. And just like Tubbo and Tommy he's a hypocrite. That's what happens when you have morally grey and ambiguous characters. He made his intentions about anarchy clear and Pogtopia made their intentions about Governments clear, they both chose to ignore eachother which in the end made them Hypocrites. A specific point I want to make about Technoblade teaming up with Dream is that Tommy has NEVER been clear with Technoblade with how Dream treated him. Technoblade couldn't have known what Dream did because of Tommy's trauma about speaking about it and Dream's manipulation. Technoblade teamed up with Dream because they shared a common goal, he doesnt trust Dream and has voiced that before. Also! Tommy's point in their argument in the middle of Doomsday was really interesting, he said (I'm paraphrasing) "why can't you just let people love what they love." A thing to note is that Technoblade DID. After the end of the revolution he left to go live in retirment and solitude and let them fight amongst eachother and destroy eachother. The very same Government he predicted to be corrupt then tried to execute him without trial even though they said he'd be given one. Which is a pretty corrupt thing to do. In the end Technoblade was used and just a little bit mistreated but he's not in the right because of that. Again, he can be seen in the lense of a Villain but that doesn't mean he really is one.

Now onto c!Tommy. His character is deffinetly an interesting one! I think his main fault is his own hubris. He's prideful to a default and stubborn when it comes to the idea he could have done something wrong because of how badly he wants to be the/a hero. Now, I'm not saying he HASN'T taken accountability for some things he's said and done because he most certainly has and thus has grown as a character. Another huge fault is his hyperfixation on the emotions and people attached to objects. Honestly? Tubbo logically wasn't wrong, they're just discs. But in Tommy's head they're a symbol of his and Tubbo's friendship. The problem is when he picks these discs over his actual friendship with Tubbo and how Dream has manipulated him. Dream plays a BIG part in why Tommy thinks the discs are so valuable. If you're told enough times and manipulated into thinking objects hold a significant value to the things important to you then eventually they become fiercely important to you and have some weight to them. I think in the beginning, in Tommy's brain destroying the discs meant his and Tubbo's friendship was over because of the part they've played in their friendship. Again, Tubbo only ever saw them as dics, plastic vinyls that drop from mobs and play pretty music. To another point, Tommy is also explicitly Hypocritical, just like Technoblade. He holds onto the fact that Tubbo and L'manburg and it's people are his friends and he cares about him but then calls Technoblade his friend and casts his emotions aside. The problem is the blatant fact that Tommy used Technoblade as a weapon and after being called out that friends don't do that to eachother he ignores it. In this instance he's no better than Technoblade. A kinda big problem is his character development, which really doesn't have a lot to do with c!Tommy and more with how the writers suggest developing him as a character. I think the main thing is that he goes to Tubbo's side saying how the discs never truly mattered to later saying they need the discs. The discs don't matter. What matters is defeating Dream. But just like Tubbo, Tommy is a highly and incredibly traumatised Teenager.

Next is c!Ranboo, the mad lad! I don't really have a whole lot to say? Just some quick analysis of what his characters ideals are and his actions in everything. Looking at his character he's incredibly paranoid, anxious and probably Traumatised from things we the audience don't know. At the end of the day he's a true neutral character. In one of the tweets cc!Ranboo sent it said that as long as Dream isn't hurting the people he (character Ranboo) directly cares about, he doesn't care what Dream does. For a good portion he was against Dream because he cared about everyone nd dream was hurting everyone. He's joined Technoblade and Ph1lza in the Arctic because he thinks that Dream has gotten what he wants, he doesn't know anything about Dream and Tommy's conversation by the end of Doomsday. Also! Ranboo's ideals/beliefs are anarchist by nature and principle. The reason he has a problem with choosing sides between L'manburg and Dream is because of the hierarchy within those sides, and the obligation that you have to fight that comes with picking those sides. Technoblade and Ph1lza both chose to fight under free will and because they chose too without coercion. Everyone is equal there. There's a really good post somewhere talking about it that'll I'll look for that explains it very well. (EDIT: found the post also hopefully i did the link right)

This is getting painfully long so I'm wrapping it up here with a few last things. Everything has always come down to Dream. The reason L'manburg was built was to get away from the oppressive power that is Dream (another point for Technoblade teaming up w dream, he wasn't there for Dreams stuff, he only knew of Schlatt but I digress). Dream has manipulated everyone, he's running the puppet show with the strings tied to his fingers. He's manipulated Tubbo, Tommy, Ranboo, Technoblade, Schlatt, EVERYONE. He's pitted everyone against eachother because he loves the chaos. Because he knows that if they weaken eachother it'll be a lot easier to take control with less effort put in from his part. Dream has always been the main antagonist from the very very beginning. Sure some could say Tommy started it with the discs but Dream was the one who took them in the first place etc.

He's also pitted the audience against eachother. It's really interesting in how he's actually manipulated the audience. It doesn't matter who's on what side or who's wronged who when the cause for all their greif has always been Dream. The fandom is fighting over traitors and betrayals and villain arcs. It doesn't matter, not when Dream is runnin free with the amount of power that he has.

Fear

So...I saw this post (below) and couldn't help myself...here's a bit of Angst with our favorite Malfoy.

Draco stood in front of the cabinet. This was so stupid! It was rediculous, really!

"This is totally stupid, you know that right?" He asked Professor Lupin.

The man just shrugged and said, "Indulge me? Unless your too afraid that is."

Draco had honestly hoped that after that fiasco with Potter they would have moved on from this, he didn't want to admit to himself, let alone everyone else, what his biggest fear was.

"I assure you Mr. Malfoy," Lupin said pushing off from the wall. "If Mr. Longbottom can do it, you can as well."

Draco sneered and readied his wand. 'Yes,' he thought savagely. 'But Longbottom is afraid of everything now isn't he?'

"Well?" He snapped. "Get on with it!"

Lupin stepped forward and released the latch of the cabinet.

Draco readjusted his grip on his wand and readied himself. He knew what was about to step from that cabinet. Would they laugh? Call him a hypocrite perhaps? What would Potter think? Would he tease him? Feel sorry for him, maybe...?

Draco watched as the door swing open and a pale hand curled around the edge of the cabinet. He watch as the door was pushed open to reveal his father in all his immaculate glory, cane and all. Draco kept an eye on that came as it tapped at the floor. Though when his father stepped forward Dracos eyes drifted up to his face.

"Draco, Draco, Draco," his father chastised taking another step forward.

He stepped back, instinctively. He would be the first to admit he was no Griffindor. God could damn courage when it much smarter to be self preservient.

His father advanced again and Draco took another step back, stummbling straight into his classmates. He felt himself falling and went to catch himself, dropping his wand in the process. He reached out to grab something, anything really, as long as he didn't fall. Unfortunately, he found nothing and collapsed onto the floor.

"How undignified, Draco," his father said looking at him with disgust. "You are an embarrassment to this family!"

Draco watched as the cane in his father's hand came up. He closed his eyes and braced himself for impact. He waited, and waited. And eventually, he gathered enough courage to open his eyes.

His father was gone.

He scrambled to his feet and grabbed his wand. He looked around, they were all staring at him pityingly, whispering, shaking their head.

"I told you this was stupid!" He snapped and headed for the door. They parted for him as if he were the Dark lord himself.

"Malfoy," Lupin started chasing after him. "Draco, wait!"

Draco spun and looked at him furiously.

"I don't need your pity!" He snapped. "And I deffinetly don't need theirs!" He gestured to those around him. "I am a Malfoy! I need pity from no one! And by the way professor," he pointed to the cuboard. "That creature of your is losing its touch, my father would never treat me is such a manner! I am the pride of my father's life, and he will certainly hear of this, absoulutly frivolous and pointless exercise! And not to mention completely inaccurate!"

He stormed from the class room. His father would deffinetly NOT be hearing about this. Least of all from Draco...

Howls moving castle : Book v Movie.

so I finally finished Howls moving castle and over all it was a great book but... For some reason I was left feeling a little empty? It's hard to explain, but I've put it down to how much I adore the movie and with the book being quite different I think I expected a little more from it. I should probably continue reading the books as I'm unsure whether the movie has taken its own path and changed the story a little or if the three books have been squished into one movie so the development of characters ect is more of a slow burn. Unfortunately I don't think ill continue the books. Although I enjoyed it, it began to feel almost like a chore to get to the end of it. So I think I'll give this a 3.5👑 out of five.

I'm also here to discuss the differences I found between the book and the movie and whether I felt they worked. Although there are a lot, and probably a lot I haven't mentioned these are the most obvious to me. So I hope you enjoy my little post and picture accompaniment. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° S P O I L E R W A R N I N G °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Howl: Howl is also known as and often referred to as "Howell" who is revealed to be Welsh man who has crossed and is able to continuously cross over from our world into sophies. Howl is also portrayed as a bit of a playboy throughout, being known to chase women and woo them untill he has won their affections only then to cast them aside and begin the hunt for a new love interest (with no regard to sophies feelings) it's even stated that he has proposed to a woman and once she returns his love and affection he begins to find another character just as worthy of his time. It's Deffinetly a new take on howl, showing him as a sarcastic, almost narcissistic character. Sophie: In the movie I found myself sympathising with Sophie after her encounter with the witch of the waste. You know, even thought she was rather brash and straight forward she had a vulnerability to her throughout which I felt really fascinated howl from the beginning (kick starting their interest in one another) Once Sophie was changed into an older woman she fought against it and was more determined to stay young, continuing to do things an older woman would struggle with, completely disregarding it's detrimental effects. Yet in the book Sophie seemed to accept and almost enjoy being a grouchy grumpy even irritating old woman. Bringing the tone down through out the book, which was one factor I really didn't care for. Howl and Sophie/s relationship: In the movie it's shown that howl and sophies fondness for each other moves and develops quite quickly, for example the continuous back and forth they have, teasing each other and angering each other to a point it's just well, down right cute. Yet in the book they don't seem to have much of a close bond, they almost seem to resent each other and only right at the end show a caring nature toward one another. (As I stated before I'm unsure if that's because their development is spread between the books so I have to continue reading to get to that stage, but I really felt I was missing that cute loveable feeling from the book) Sophies family: The book goes into a lot more detail about sophies sisters, especially about their personality traits and their social status and expectations in relation to their age. For example Sophie being the eldest is known for and considered the more plain and simple of the sisters in achievement and appearance while her youngest sister is said to achieve great fortune in her life which leads to some interesting developments later on. Michael: Michael is significantly older in the books and is described as young man, who eventually ends up courting one of sophies sisters. War: In real miyazaki style war is a common theme throughout his movies and howls moving castle is no exception but due to the fact that's the directors obsession, the book shares no such theme. There is no part of the book that sees howl transform into his defensive eagle-like character, there are no scenes of war or war themed violence and yet through the movie Howls service and help in the war is a source of income for him his castle and his family. This is also a lead into many famous scenes throughout the movie which again, I really missed as they are some of my favourite parts. I hope you enjoyed this little comparison post!
