i think all the moments between arthur kaiser and joui honestly. the domestic nature between all of them. that love they all held for each other and they were always ALWAYS there for one another. i always think back to you know kaisers attacks and joui & arthur comforting him and kaiser taking a photo of them both so he could see them smile all the time. and man. the canon info of joui going over and cooking for ivette, arthur, and kaiser japanese & brazilian cuisines. and that it was either hit or miss on whether joui burnt it. and you know that bliss between the three and their little family. i think about all of jouis little jealous moments if someone stole away kaiser or arthurs affections. i think about that one photo kaiser drew on. i think about how arthur had lost so much in osnf and he still built up these bonds with people and he gained a new family! and i think about all the shared cigarettes between kaiser & arthur and i think about joui my body is a temple jouki only smoking if its with arthur or kaiser. i think about how kaiser could only look arthur and joui in the eyes. and i think about how they were each others rocks

omg this is such a fun question

kaiser would be so tryhard when it comes to pvp he’d play on sooo many servers to train he’d love doing shit with strategy and learning how to best kill people. he’d probably have some anonymous reputation online as “Angel of the Night” where no one knows who he is but they all know that when hes there theyre all doomed. he WILL SWEEP. i imagine he has a dark looking skin with like a cloak or something. kinda bbh vibe but all black perhaps

but then when arthur suggests to do a multiplayer world hes so down and its funny cause this sorta infamous pvp god playing with two pretty indifferent players: arthur and joui.

arthur would be decent hes not as good at pvp like kaiser but hes good with the controls and he knows how to play which is the most important part. he takes more of a leadership role with gathering resources and making super efficient farms for the other two to never worry about anything. he’d probably also build their house but its not like hes an incredible builder its just a regular shack but its their regular shack<3 they all have their beds next to each other

which is where we get to joui. he’d be the one begging arthur to collect dyes in their colors like red, green, purple so all their beds are cute and together. he’d be. pretty shit with controls and. everything. he doesnt really understand the game or the point he only agreed to play because he didnt want to miss out on arthur kaiser time. the fomo. so thats how he gets himself involved into this “minecraft” shit. all he does really is follow arthur or kaiser around on their adventures. arthur would probably give joui instructions like collect all the stones with black stuff thts coal and joui would actually do good at that. if hes given a mission he’ll complete it smoothly. kaiser likes trying to train joui but he’s a longgg way from being a pro pvp player like him but kaiser encourages him and tries to make him understand how critting works. joui and kaiser probably go out at night to fight mobs together to get specific resources arthur needs and joui probably dies a couple times but he doesnt back down

they end up having a pretty nice world and maybe with a few months of playing joui can actually hold his ground. kaiser collects flowers to put around their shack and arthur starts wanting to add mods and. theyre happy. they play any free time they have off missions.

ive decided i hate sarek's new wife. what business is it of hers if spock objects to sarek in public? if sarek didn't have a problem with it why make one? evil stepmother fr. why did sarek marry another human anyway does he have a fucking fetish or something...at least she was too old to get knocked up. i was reading about ages on the wiki today and amanda was only TWENTY YEARS OLD when she had spock. sarek would have been 65. i know vulcans age way different so it's not as creepy but STILL. girl, wait until you are old enough to drink

speaking of sarek...i went back and forth feeling terrible for him and wanting to attack him with my bare hands. under one hand he is on his deathbed and obviously very ill and miserable and suffering deep regrets over past mistakes and it's hard not to have sympathy...on the other, maybe if you wanted less deathbed regrets about your relationship with spock YOU SHOULD HAVE TREATED HIM BETTER! bitch.

also, whatever he and picard had going on was homoerotic. "we're part of each other" why do they talk about the mind meld that way in tng and not in tos. why did picard feel up sarek's hand on his deathbed the second his wife looked away. hes got a history of homewrecking since he (i know) had his affair baby wesley with beverly. so Whats Going On

the first time i cried was when spock himself came onscreen at the end of part i. then just as soon as i collected myself he mentioned jim kirk twice in the space of 30 seconds and i lost it again. we are literally bridging the gap between tos spock and spock prime from aos rn and i Dont like it.

Very Sad his dad kicked it before they could reconcile. but i saw his microexpressions when picard delivered the news. i missed them more than you can possibly imagine

i did love though that he started viewing picard as like a proxy sarek. imagine having daddy issues with a guy who is 75 years younger than you. lowkey they also had a little homoeroticism happening. "cowboy diplomacy" sure whatever

riker and the four-armed pianist 10/10 i hope they fucked. i'm so glad we wont he riker roulette and it wasn't creepy. also only riker could successfully flirt with a women after killing her husband in a spaceship battle <3

i'm a little iffy on spock's uhhh whole deal in this episode. he's lik yeah i chose the vulcan way of life these romulans are gonna have way better lives after their vulcan enlightenment but meanwhile he's criticizing sarek for his obsession with logic to the exclusion of all emotion (which is what he decided in tmp, that you need both) and also the vulcan way of life has done huge damage to his relationship with his father as well. so which is it?? idk, maybe he's not doing well because of sarek dying and all but he seemed like he was in a very "im not willing to acknowledge that i have emotions because rn theyre causing me pain" sort of mood. buddy :(

then again, it IS a tng script. we can only expect so much. it wasn't so inconsistent that it took me out of the episode but it did bother me a little because i just don't understand why he's willing to devote the rest of his life to this cause...he seemed to imply he had emotional reasons but what were they?? we will quite literally never know.

what's wack to me also is that in nineteen years romulus is gonna be GONE. like it's just going to be gone. eaten up by the sun or whatever. if someone had a baby right now on romulus that baby would not be old enough to drink before the sun swallowed them. so everything spock is doing is for nothing.

sela in this episode was really funny. "i hate vulcans." so true queen. i mean i don't care about her at all but that was hilarious

data doing the vulcan nerve pinch!!!!!!! that was so fun. i don't think it requires telepathy to do, just super strength, but i guess if you do then that makes no sense. it made me happy though.

the end when spock melded with picard to quasi-meld with his father and almost wept was me crying for the third time...i couldn't stand seeing him cry!!!!!! i can't believe sarek really just died without ever reconciling with him but i kind of like it better this way bc what sarek did was his own fault not spock's. so spock got closure and sarek. didn't. rip dude

ROSE — chapter 04: i walk like nanana

“you ready?” y/n looked back, grinning.

the group nodded and y/n gave an encouraging smile before turning away and squeezing joonie’s hand.

“ladies, you may go ahead.” the producer announced, standing next to the cameras.

y/n and joonie walked forward first, as predetermined by joonie’s unwillingness to leave y/n’s side. the two had their arms linked and shared occasional glances at one another.

sakura, isa, and youngeun entered behind them, faces bright with the same excited expressions.

the five then stood in a line in front of the cameras, smiling and waving with y/n in the center. the paparazzi shouted different poses, earning a laugh from the girls as one in particular repeatedly demanded a flower pose.

once they finished group photos y/n went ahead to get her solo shots as planned, the other four followed suit. the carpet was filled with flustered laughter as they tried to handle the kind comments from all the reporters.

once the girls were done on the carpet they waved goodbye kindly and made their way to y/n’s dressing room as fast as possible, tearing off their heels and running through the halls barefoot. it’s important to note that sakura, isa, and youngeun have their own dressing room but instead chose to go to y/n’s just to watch the suitors walk the carpet together.

“alright gentlemen. im sure this is your first time on the carpet?” the producer asked.

“yeah.”

“definitely.”

“nope.”

“unfortunately.”

“surprisingly, no.”

“okay then. well im just going to have you all walk forward and stand in a line for one big group photo, then the directors will ask you to spread out and photographers will get your individual images. sound alright?” the producer generously explained, motioning to the carpet and the camera crew.

the suitors nodded, some nervous and some more prepared for this than anything else they’ve ever done.

“alright its showtime!!” the producer giddily clapped his hands together, clearly he had been preparing for this moment.

the suitors shook out their nerves, sunoo entering first.

the girls tightly held onto each other’s hands, crowded around the tv as they sat on the dressing room floor.

“THEYRE WALKING IN!!!” joonie bounced up and down.

suddenly, the suitors filed in, standing in a line in front of the cameras. y/n’s dressing room was filled with screams in milliseconds.

y/n sat there, frozen in time. unable to pay attention to a single name the announcer had read. barely even capable of taking a good look at any of them.

it was only when the time for solo shots came that y/n gingerly removed her hands from her eyes and looked at each boy.

“KIM SUNOO??? isa don’t you use his makeup wipes??” youngeun shook isa’s arm, jaw dropped.

“park sunghoon.. where do I know that name…” sakura stared at his face as if it would suddenly give the answer.

lee heeseung who sat next to y/n for all of freshman year. teasing her by throwing pencils her way and then asking for some to borrow. the very same boy who befriended y/n and became her personal body guard and best friend, solely because he thought that she looked cute when she was so nervous on the first day of school.

she never thought she’d see him again. but here he was, smiling and waving to the cameras, about to compete to be her husband.

Oh, and there were those that said all the members were there.

So, bottom line, other than Tae that was there for sure (he is unmistakable) we don’t know which of the members were there, maybe all.  Just like all of them were at dinner together with Bang PD in that clip that Hobi uploaded to his IG but we only saw Hobi, JM and another unidentifiable member sitting by JM.  Nope it wasn’t a Hobi-JM date!

It isn't symmetrical since that would be weird as hell, I mean a grandparent cannot be the grandchild of their own grandchild that would fuck up the family tree even more than the DSMPs but like, how do I prove that mathematically? theory:deltarune is one of gaster’s experiments

apologizing ahead of time if this is written in a disorganized manner, also the fact that i veer off topic a couple times to just talk about ways the games are related. its very difficult to organize my thoughts when there is so much to consider despite the fact that this is like my fourth time rewriting this (woops)

theory: deltarune is one of gaster’s experiments. like the entire thing is an experiment.

if you’ve never heard who gaster is in relation to undertale, you should probably look into that first because that’s what this entire thing is about. tldr; he was the royal scientist before alphys, fell into his own experiment and “died” or disappeared. he is presumaby sans’s and papyrus’s father or a part of the family (assuming that w.d. stands for wingdings going along with the whole “named after the font they talk in” thing, especially considering the fact that the journal 17 hidden room is written in wingdings). although we don’t exactly know when gaster is in the timeline of the backstory, we can assume he was hired as the royal scientist to figure out how to get them out of the underground. we can probably assume that he worked with determination, considering that the one time he is visible in the game he appears kind of drippy, like the fact that that’s exactly why amalgamates even happened in true lab. also, the determination extraction machine - was gaster’s. there are blueprints in sans’s workshop, written in a code that frisk cant understand, as well as a broken machine covered by a sheet; we’re assuming that’s an old determination machine and sans translated the blueprints for alphys (she even says in a journal entry “i used the blueprints”). if the “creation” gaster fell in wasn’t the core, it might have been this, because once again he appears all melty like the amalgamates or undyne when she dies. gaster’s appearances in undertale kind of seem like random easter eggs about a character from the past, but i’m not convinced it’s unimportant; in both deltarune and undertale you cannot name your character gaster, it just restarts the game.

now onto why i think deltarune is an experiment: when you download the game onto your computer, the file saves as “SURVEY_PROGRAM.exe” which actually scared me a little bc i was scared i just downloaded a virus, plus the fact that the license agreement when i was installing it said “YOU AGREE TO EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS FROM NOW ON” or something like that. terrifying! and once you open the game it does survey you, asking you to create a vessel and name it as well as yourself, unlike undertale where you only name the first fallen human, chara. plus there is someone that talks you through the whole intro asking you these things, which seems very separate from the narrator of everything else that happens in the game. and i think that this is how gaster was experimenting with human souls; when you die and when you save, the game doesn’t focus on determination like undertale does. (the flipside of this is alphys experimenting how to break the barrier with monster souls and determination).

MY BIGGEST REASON WHY I THINK THIS THOUGH: journal entry 17 from gaster. the entire thing is talking about a darkness growing stronger and cutting deeper, saying “i think this next experiment is going to be very very interesting.”  THE ENTIRE PLOT OF DELTARUNE CHAPTER ONE IS RESTORING BALANCE TO THE WORLD BECAUSE OF A FOUNTAIN OF DARKNESS MAKING THE DARK WORLD GROW STRONGER.

it’s also just very Funny(tm) to me that undertale has the surface and the underworld, and that deltarune has the light world and the dark world. there’s just! a very specific! kind of parallel there! like someone might have based it off of the concept of having a surface world and a world underneath!

one other fun thing: clam girl, a rare-appearance npc, talks about her neighbor “suzy” and how the protag should meet her. and once you talk to her, if you go to sans’s workshop, one of the drawers contains a poorly drawn photo of three smiling people the protag doesn’t recognize that says “don’t forget”. but only if you talk to clam girl! also goner clam girl, an even rarer npc, says that u never met suzy but the time to do so is “fast approaching.” i just think it’s interesting ;)))

about kris: i’m thinking that the soul kris out at the end is the player’s? maybe that’s a common theory, idk it probably is. like gaster just chose a human on the lightener world and said “here you go! here’s a soul! have fun being my experiment!” and this soul has more determination than kris; i saw this pointed out in a video, but the first time you play the game and you get to the first save point, you literally overwrite a save file under the name “kris.” in undertale, only the person with the most determination has the ability to save, which is why the only time flowey could save is when he had six human souls in his control, so we can assume the player has more determination than kris. also the fact that kris literally doesn’t emote at ALL the entire game, to me that makes it rlly clear that the soul they rip out is Not Good.

of course i don’t have all the answers! and this isn’t without holes, because yeah our information about gaster is limited and we only have one chapter of deltarune. something i realized today though: in undertale when you read the signs in waterfall, the last one mentions an angel who has seen the surface, presumaby asriel, come will back to free them all (which does happen in true pacifist!) the only other time an angel is mentioned in undertale is when you talk to gerson about the delta rune emblem; apparently the other bleaker take on the angel is an angel of death who’s a harbinger of destruction. SO ITS REAL INTERESTING I THINK that in the deltarune prophecy, it mentions that when the trio restores balance, they will “banish the angel’s heaven?” and somehow even after we closed the fountain (which btw i’m not convinced it worked) we don’t know what that means or what it’s referring to. but if we’re going off of the thought that undertale’s “angel” is asriel...... we bring in the theories about ralsei and asriel having something to do with each other, considering their names being anagrams and looking somewhat similar. also the fact that theyre probably related and asriel will make an appearance in the game in the future makes me nervous about that. THIS COULD BE A THING! WHO KNOWS. just wanted to point it out as well even though i don’t think it has anything to do with gaster.

ANYWAYS THIS IS A MESS but those are my thoughts on the ways that undertale and deltarune are related!!! and if anyone wants to add their thoughts feel free, i’m open to discussion

- Mochi and lime live in an earth alternate, so like, humans, but not EARTH earth. still working on the name of the continent/region/world they're in, but its gonna be like a botw expansive map with a bunch of different climates and stuff all spread out

- it's probably also a modern-style monarchy. so their gonna have modern technology and stuff but its an excuse to maybe include a royal family (think hmc style ish??). but i don't think the story will delve into politics at all. let's just assume that the gov and economy is ok in this story LOL

- magic and fantasy creatures exist EVERYWHERE, but they hide from most humans and as a result mostly live in forests and such

- the power of magic came as a gift from the stars. the stars are like. i guess what people worship i guess?? so the stars are like the ‘gods’ here (i didnt wanna get into religion too much in this story either, but some plot-relevance will most likely involve some religion-like aspects like priests and whatever)

- technology was developed only because the power of magic essentially disapeared to humans. if witches were always integrated into society, tech probably wouldn’t be a thing

- witches are female only. at the origins of magic, it used to run in both sexes, but the only male with magic ability became insanely powerful and evil and the magic in males died with him. (big backstory, we dont have time to unpack that)

- there's an extensive history (same backstory) of witches not being accepted/feared in society despite being mostly human, so they live WITH humans, but don't expose themselves. 

- (the most valuable spell is the memory replacement spell, which works kind of like that app where you can erase whole people from photos. ie, it takes parts of the rest of your day or similar days to fill in the deleted memory with similar memories, so instead of seeing mochi battling it out with some masked dude, you think you just went to school and came home)

- witches in society caused a bunch of social problems. they had events similar to the salem witch trials and whole plagues started when a witch was discovered. (that crow-lookin plague mask WILL show up in this story i dont care. that shit looked cool and evil and i want it to show up)

- there are some witch ‘haven’ villages: small secluded villages that hide a witch or two within its walls, and don't get many visitors. these villages usually don't have much technology, as they rely on magic. (one of these places is the ocean village where Mochis grandmother lives, and another is where Mochis secret hideout is in the northern mountains)

- there are a bunch of urban legends of witches, bedtime stories, holiday tales, etc. but no one really believes they exist anymore. they just seem like cryptids or superstitions.

- the magical community power scale pretty much looks like this:

...with the cat at the top, followed by the crow/snake, then the spider/toad, and the rest of the witches are more of less equal in power, and then below that are the mages. the psuedo-magic is placed in its own box because it comes nowhere near true magic

- because of this power balance, all the ‘normal’ witches and mages are extremely jealous of the top five (sometimes theres even jealousy within the five)

- ‘mages’ are a broad term of magic users, which can range from humans, to fairies and mermaids. i think the familiars may fall into this catigory too, as they can use a small degree of protective magic.

- mages can be a lot of things, fire mages, water mages, ink mages, paper mages, etc. theres a LOT of them, mostly descending from ancestors who were given power by witches a long time ago, or maybe the offspring of a human and a spirit. long story short its a REALLY broad term.

- every witch, at some point during their magical maturity has to chose a successor. its usually their daughter, but not in every case. once their successor turns 15, together they conduct a ritual to begin the power transfer. (i havent decided if the ritual is when they get their familiar, or if theyre supposed to have them since birth?? probably the former)

- during the power transfer, the magical ability is slowly ‘drained’ from the old witch into the new witch over a period of time, usually about a year or so, and the old witch teaches and trains the new witch how to use magic and potions.

- however this is also the most dangerous time, because as the power slowly transfers, the old and new witches respective power levels are slowly decreasing and increasing respectively, and at the equilibrium (50/50 transfered) the strongest witches power roughly equates to the power of a normal witch 

- (which is especially a dangerous time, compared to say, at a 70/30 balance the old witch is still strong enough to defend the title)

- and due to the jealousy problem within the magic-user circle, this is the ideal time to steal the power of a witch. in Mochi’s case, the cat is highly sought after by other witches and mages, and because of this, cat witches are trained early on to be VERY good fighters, and usually have a few. like. ‘bodygaurds’ so to speak (ie. Lime)

- in rare cases, the power of psuedo-magic is enough to kill a witch at equilibrium as well

- if you kill a witch, all her magical affect on the world (potions, spells, cursed objects) disapears, and the power will either pass to the victor (if she dies by the hand of another witch/mage) or will return to the old witch (if she dies by accident)

- if a witch dies by accident, and she has no remaining female family, the familiar will wander the world in search of a new and worthy witch

- because of the female-only thing as well as the jealousy issue, witches try to only have one daughter, as to not deal with sibling jealousy. especially if they have a son first, and then a daughter, the boy usually sometimes ends up with resentment that they can’t have the same power

- a lot of witch-siblings end up joining the coattails

- for humor and story purposes, im making it so for some idiot reason no one else can figure out where Mochi lives and/or are too dumb to do the obvious plan of attacking her in her sleep or something. so they usually get attacked on the go.

- also maybe everyone understands that high school sucks enough as it is, so they also rarely attack during school hours

- every familiar is a different being, and they stay with their witch throughout their whole lives. they always retain the ability to talk, even after the witch no longer has the main power. after a witch dies, their familiar loses their voice, and either dies with them, or leaves to wander the earth forever

- after a witch loses her power to her successor, she can only do low-level magic and make potions (small levetation spells, foliage growth spells, etc. nothing big)

- there are also a lot of powerful spirits (they roughly fall into the mage catigory) that wander the earth and protect certain sacred places. a subcatogiry of spirits are the cosmic serpants, chinese dragon-looking things that rest in shrines and travel the skies during the night, bringing the elements with them (theres a cosmic wind serpant that protects the forest next to Oscars house, and its always pretty windy there)

- locals pray to the spirits for good weather, healthy crops, etc which the serpants are happy to give them with offerings

- theyre kind spirits, but also very firm and protective of their lands. if they sense any ill-willed trasspassers they WILL destroy them. they only reveal themselves when they want to, but most have mad respect for the witches. 

- mochi gives oscar a medalion with a witches seal so the spirits know not to fucking merk him on his ghost-hunting adventures

- another type of spirit are the forest gaurdians (like the little things in this picture) which care for the forests and animals there. they like oscar because he brings them little snackies like funyuns. 

- spirits are naturally attracted to magical energy, so when mochis around the spirit activity hikes up (que ominous wind gusts during spooky story telling at oscars house) 

- the 5 top witches are pretty well known throughout the magic/creature communities. even if Mochi hasn’t met them yet formally, her name travels fairly quickly that by the time she visits somewhere and introduces herself, they know shes the cat witch

- also, in the top 5, each witch kind of has their own little attributes that makes them, by nature, most suitable for their position. for Mochi, as the cat, she has the biggest heart (cares the most for people, has the most friends). the crow is has the most intellect, the spider is the most creative/detail oriented, etc.

- different regional areas grow rare ingredients, which most of them i will 100% make up since i dont know a lot about actual earth plants, so mochi and lime will travel to all different parts of the world for foraging. everyone kind of teases them about how ‘oooh youre just gonna live in this little city your whole life?? boring!! get out there!!’ and they just kinda look at each other

Seokjin:

You two just really enjoyed each other’s company. There was no need to go on a fancy date since you could enjoy the most domestic things as if it was an amusement park. That said, you would usually do a lot of things together, but your personal favourite had always been grocery shopping. There was no particular reason behind it, it just made you happy. Seokjin wearing the most casual clothes he had at the back of his wardrobe, barefaced and with eyes just for you.

In the grocery store, you would always buy the essentials and then spend some time wandering around, joking, you trying to sneak some snacks inside the shopping cart and Seokjin finding out, followed by a playful scold from him.

You wouldn’t usually come across paparazzi since you made sure to go out really early in the morning and that made you feel safe from any non-wanted attention. 

Seokjin was in the middle of telling a bad pun about the vegetables when you noticed in the corner of your eye a dark figure moving rather quickly to hide behind some stall. It was a man with a camera. You turned around, your back now facing Seokjin and started walking away from him. He stopped laughing and followed you from a really short distance when he noticed you were trying to get away from him.

“Was my joke that bad?” He asked looking hurt. “’Cause it’s really early and my jokes start to get better by ten or eleven a.m.”

“Your puns are always cheesy, not bad,” you commented under your breath, “but there’s a paparazzi behind the stall and-”

Seokjin interrupted you mid-sentence and grabbed your shoulders softly. He leaned down so his face was at the same level of yours and kissed your forehead. His lips stayed there for more time than necessary and then he backed away. There was a soft smile on his face, which you returned.

“It was time for everyone to know how happy you make me. That also means goodbye to our early trips to the grocery store and hello to afternoon dates. How does that sound?”

Yoongi:

Something that you absolutely loved about Yoongi was how hardworking he was. The few times he had opened up about his feelings and past relationships, he mentioned how some people had felt neglected by the amount of time he spent in the studio. You weren’t one of them.

You made sure to show your support and to show you were always cheering for him, so you would visit him frequently and sometimes you would even drag him to get some food in his system. Yoongi would always say something like “my music is my food, but I could have something tasty now that you mention it...”

Today you convinced him to try the new smoothie shop right across the street. There was something about it. It looked bright and colourful, and the smoothies had sugar, Yoongi would need that if he planned on staying up until late as he did. 

The little twinkle of the bell greeted you as you walked into the store, dragging Yoongi inside by his hand. You were ready to leave with your drinks in hand when you noticed the big mass of people with cameras outside. You automatically turned around and acted as if you weren’t with Yoongi, looking for something inside your purse. He looked at you with knotted eyebrows while slurping his smoothie. He asked what was wrong.

“The paparazzi. Go back to the studio and I’ll meet you there in a few.”

Yoongi was having none of that. If you asked him, it was pretty annoying to be constantly hiding you. He was proud of the person he chose to be with and it made no sense to be covering that up.

“Let’s sit down,” he softly offered.

“What?”

He sneaked his finger under your chin and lifted your face a little. “Let’s sit down, right there on that table you told me it had a nice view and all that stuff.”

Your hand was wrapped by his in a second as he led you to said table. Once you two were in front of each other, he smiled and raised his eyebrows at your shocked face.

“This way, we have a nice view, and the paparazzi can take pictures of you; let the world know who makes me happy.”

Hoseok:

The mall wasn’t such a romantic date according to Hoseok. He insisted on taking you to a nice dinner and maybe a walk, but being honest? You just wanted to be with him. He always made everything enjoyable and special, so you didn’t really care about the place as long as he was there.

Hoseok made sure to wear his mask and sunglasses so your date wouldn’t get interrupted by anything. That was the main reason why you usually wouldn’t go out. He didn’t like the idea of you in the middle of the paparazzi or fans. The whole scenario was always crazy and hectic, he didn’t want you to stress because of it. Nevertheless, he figured it out that if he was careful enough and wore the right attire, no one would recognize him in the middle of the crowd. 

You were enjoying talking with him about nothing in particular, the way he would sneak his phone out of his pocket and snap a picture of you and how you two just entered to random stores and looked for the ugliest outfits to try them on and laugh about how silly you looked.

But while you were sharing an ice cream, a hint of light called your attention. There was a man with his camera aiming to Hoseok. Quick enough, you hid behind a couple that was passing by, but Hoseok’s grip made you stop your tracks.

“Where are you going?” He asked with a worried face.

“There’s a paparazzi right there and I-”

His eyes temporarily travelled to the man standing just meters away from you, but then returned to yours. He then pulled up the ice cream cone to your nose, staining it, and kissed the dirty zone with a smug smile.

“Let’s enjoy our date, huh? With that photo, the man has what he needs and we don’t have to be hiding anymore.”

You were so surprised that Hoseok had to call your name a few times for you to follow him since he had already grabbed your bags and was walking away to continue the day.

Namjoon:

He had always wanted to take you on a traditional date. His life as an idol wouldn’t let him take you out to a nice dinner or to the movies and that’s something he yearned for since he debuted. 

An aquarium seemed like a good idea. It was dark, romantic and you certainly had a good time together. You took some photos with the tanks lighted up by the neon lights and enjoyed food while watching what the place had to offer.

At the end of the aquarium, there was a small gift shop that you were dying to visit, so he followed you. While checking the price of the sea turtle plushies, Namjoon heard a little snap behind the glass door of the shop. He didn’t really give it a lot of thought but then there was too much noise outside to ignore it. He turned around and observed the paparazzi practically compressed against the glass, trying to get photos of him. His eyes looked for you, because he knows how intense it can get if a lot of people notice him, but you weren’t by his side. He returned the plushie back on the shelf and turned around to find you trying to hide behind the postcards. 

“What are you doing there?” He asked, still from his spot.

“I- so they won’t see me. Let’s meet at the coffee shop that’s next to the dorms? You can go first, I’ll go in a minute.”

“Absolutely not,” he grumbled as he walked towards you.

Namjoon snaked his arm around your neck and pulled you by his side, completely displaying you in front of the paparazzi. You were paralysed as the people went wild behind the glass. Namjoon was just glad that pictures with flash weren’t permitted inside the aquarium because he was certain they would’ve temporarily blinded you if they were. 

“I’ve finally found someone worth this nightmare, and you want to hide behind some postcards? Yeah, not gonna happen,” Namjoon sighed and tenderly squeezed your shoulder. 

Taehyung:

Taehyung tried really hard to keep you entertained everywhere you went. He always provided his full enthusiasm and smiles to whatever you were doing. He wasn’t really interested in doing something fancy or over the top because he found the most casual locations, like a coffee shop or maybe walking in the park, the best way to actually be comfortable and have a great time with you.

And it was always a mess when you two got loose. Something regularly happened. May it be one of you falling and hurting your knee, or accidentally dropping food over your clothes because you were fooling around with each other. May it be anything, Taehyung would take a photo of it for his “happy accidents album.”

You decided to go for a walk in the park because it was beautiful in spring and the weather was too nice to waste the day inside. After walking for a while, you sat on the swings and talked for what it seemed hours. There was a point when Taehyung got up and started to gently push your back. After a few pushes, you had gained some height in the air and noticed some paparazzi not far away from the playground zone of the park. They were getting nearer and you panicked.

“Tae, stop!”

Immediately, he grabbed the chains of the swing and you almost fell with on your knees because of the sudden action. In your mind, and most likely in real life as well, Taehyung was pouting and confused. An uncomfortable feeling bloomed in your chest.

“There's paparazzi. I have to go now,” you explained already getting up, but Taehyung’s hand on your shoulder taped you in place. “Tae-”

He walked around the swing and stood in front of you. The men with cameras were already there with their devices ready.

“Let them know,” he simply said as he leaned down and kissed your cheek. 

As if nothing had happened, Taehyung returned to his former place and pushed you again. You could only imagine how your face looked in those photos the men were taking.

Jimin:

Jimin wasn’t really a fan of scary movies. He was truly scared of them if he was honest. Nevertheless, since the day you mentioned your devotion to that genre, he couldn’t get the thought of taking you to the cinema out of his head. Yes, he could easily pick a romantic comedy or something you both might enjoy, but he wanted you to enjoy your date with him. That way you would think about him more than any other thing and he really fancied that idea.

On your way to the movies, you asked a million times, if not more, if he was absolutely sure about watching it. And of course, he said yes, even if he was unsure. You decided not to push it and let him regret it later and learn from it.

While you were buying the snacks for the movie, you couldn’t help but hear the commotion outside the cinema. You easily recognized the cameras and flashes that were coming from behind the glass doors. Jimin’s back was facing the entrance because he was busy retiring the tickets but when he saw them, he walked to your side and smiled reassuringly.

“So, what did you buy for us?” He asked with bright eyes.

Confused about why he was talking to you so bluntly with the paparazzi right outside, you looked the other way, ignoring him.

“Is something wrong?”

And he sounded so hurt, that you couldn’t allow yourself to keep looking the other way.

“I’ll go inside and we’ll meet there, okay? I don’t want the paparazzi to take my picture. Nothing’s wrong, baby.”

Jimin frowned and took a peek at the men crowded outside the door. The constant flashes of their cameras and the people inside who were looking for the source of all the disturbance was starting to make you a little nervous.

“No, let’s go together,” he replied.

With that said, he took your hand with his and maintained your hold noticeable for the paparazzi. There was a remarkable reaction from them. They were more adamant about taking pictures of Jimin and, now, you.

“Shall we go? They have what they needed, don’t they?” He smiled and pulled from your hand, getting you to move and snap out of your trance.

Jungkook:

His first suggestion? “Let’s stay here and play video games. It will be fun!” And yes, you were sure you were going to have fun. It was near impossible not to with his constant tantrums over losing against you. But you suggested something even greater than home and video games: an arcade. Jungkook wasn’t really keen on the idea, stating that it was going to be boring because the games were old and all that. It was easy to convince him. Just a few pouts and a “please, Jungkook” and he was on board.

He would never admit it, but he was actually enjoying the aesthetic of the place and the “old” games that were everywhere he turned. An hour passed, and you were convinced he was more excited than you were, which made you smile smugly with an “I told you so” expression on your face.

You were ready to go back home when your eyes found the DDR at the very back of the arcade. There were no people around it! You were so eager to grab Jungkook’s hand and drag him all the way there but a flash stopped you. Just behind the glass door of the arcade, there were easily ten men with cameras, taking pictures of Jungkook playing Pac-Man. They hadn’t noticed you, so you slowly walked away from there, already pulling out your phone to send a text to Jungkook, indicating where to meet you and why you disappeared.

You turned around and eyed the back exit. Not wanting to look back, you tried to speed up your pace but someone grabbed your wrist and stopped your tracks.

“Where are you going?” Jungkook asked. You didn’t dare to turn around.

“There were paparazzi outside I thought that it wouldn’t be smart to let them photograph me with you.”

You received a sigh as a response. His hand dropped your wrist and, for a moment, you thought he was letting you continue your route, but he walked around you and pulled you against his body, resting his chin on your head.

“I don’t mind,” he hummed.

It was such a tender action and his arms were so delicate around you, you almost forgot about where you stood. 

“Now, I saw a game you might like somewhere around here... Care to let me kick your ass in the DDR?”

He broke the embrace and raised one of his eyebrows. You scoffed and started walking away from him.

“In your dreams, Jeon!”

Louisa doesn’t talk about her birth parents, simply because there’s nothing to talk about. Her father, she can assume, was never really in the picture, and her mother left her on the stoop of a fire department in the 99th precinct of New York City, so it’s not as if she cared. Louisa rarely thinks about her birth parents, if at all. The truth was, Consuelo Migdas was sixteen when she gave birth to Louisa, and wasn’t ready to have a family. She had hoped that by putting her daughter up for adoption, she’d be put into a good home.

It took twelve years for Louisa to be adopted. Twelve years for the world to show Louisa its cold nature. By the time she turned ten, Louisa had been carted to four different foster homes. Every time it looked like there was a promise of someone wanting to take her home, she ended up being returned like a blouse that didn’t fit quite right. Louisa quickly began losing hope that anybody would keep her for good. She’d be stuck in the foster system until she was eighteen years old, and then she’d become a ward of the state. She’d have to fend for herself in the extremely cruel city of New York.

If you asked her now, she’d tell you that it could have been much worse, but that’s very much in line with Louisa’s character. She’s not dramatic in that way. She’ll downplay anything to make you think she hasn’t suffered, she’s perfectly fine. But truthfully? Not having the unconditional love of a family had more of an impact on her than she’d ever care to admit. Louisa was awful in school– on the days she came in and wasn’t starving, she found that it was tough for her to concentrate. Numbers and words didn’t make sense. Once, as a Christmas gift, she was given a book from one of her teachers: Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott. Louisa loved that they had the same name, and she loved the idea of growing up with four sisters who loved her and a mother who would do anything for her. All she wanted was a stable, consistent life.

Louisa found that she loved art from the very beginning, and would lose herself in drawings. She loved to play dress up.  She liked to take things, too. It started small, like a pack of gum or a candy bar. Nobody was any the wiser, and Louisa would never steal from the same place twice. She would steal art supplies from her school and only got caught once. Crying, she explained to her teacher that she only wanted to be able to draw at home. Three days later, she was gifted a beautiful set of over a hundred colored pencils. Every hue and shade Louisa could possibly imagine was in that set. She saved the nubs of those pencils and strung them together to make a necklace. It serves as a reminder for her– how far she’s come, and how much farther she has to go.

Things changed rapidly for the better when Mimi adopted her. At least, that’s how she introduced herself to Louisa: “I’m going to be your Mimi and we’re going to be very happy together.” It took Louisa a solid three months to believe her. If she could last longer than three months, that would be all. But Mimi showed her a home that was full of love, and a place where she was accepted. She had dinner every night, she had a quiet, cozy place to read her favorite book, and Mimi made sure she did all of her homework instead of roaming the streets.

It was when she was thirteen that she started going by Lola, if only because that’s what Mimi called her. When she asked why, Mimi would start singing the song from Damn Yankees– whatever Lola wants, Lola gets. And honestly, Lola wasn’t used to being spoiled. She wasn’t used to someone loving her. She wasn’t used to a real home.

When she applied to FIT, she put the design on the side and instead chose to focus on the modeling aspect. She got her degree, fine, but found herself loving the idea of being someone’s muse. Someone’s obsession. Someone’s love. Lola began to become heavily involved in making her own clothing, with the sewing machine that had been passed down from Mimi’s dressmaking mother right into Lola’s greedy little hands. It cost them a fortune to send her to college, but Mimi swore Lola was going to be on the cover every fashion magazine someday. Lola assured Mimi that she was too short, and focused on building a following via social media, something that she keeps up with today.

Lola’s life couldn’t be without one more tragedy, though. Mimi was cleaning the floor of their apartment in Brooklyn when she slipped on a puddle and hit her head. The injury resulted in dementia-like symptoms, not uncommon in Mimi’s age. After calling emergency services, Lola was told that there was nothing more that the doctors could do. Mimi was transferred to a care facility in Queens, and Lola visits her as faithfully as she can. Mimi is lucid sometimes, but often has no idea who Lola is other than the nice girl who visits her and sketches her.

Mimi’s current state has broken Lola’s heart. She’s picked up a few random jobs trying to make some extra cash– including dancing at a burlesque club (she insists it’s for the glamor of it all, but it’s mostly because she likes the attention), modeling for a series of painting classes (again, Lola likes attention), and working as a make-up artist. All the money she makes goes to pay for Mimi’s care, and to keep her room full of fresh flowers. Lola feels lost, understandably so, which is why she’s been so happy to join April’s Growers. It’s given her a new sense of purpose, even if sometimes she’s still kind of sad. Lola is doing the best that she can to juggle her odd jobs, her newfound roommates, her beloved mother, and pursuing what she loves.

Santana Lopez

All things considered, they should be rivals– they’re both Latinas who can sing, they’re both drop dead gorgeous, and they usually go for the same modeling gigs– but Lola and Santana have somehow managed to become friends. It also doesn’t hurt that they’re now prone to admire each other’s beauty as often as they can in someone’s bedroom.

Reggie Clifton

Ah, how does Lola even begin to describe Reggie Clifton? They met at a rally in the city more than a year ago, which is only too fitting for the both of them.  Lola fell for Reggie and she fell very hard. They flirted, they messed around a lot, and when they admitted that they had feelings for each other, it was peppered with the worst thing Lola’s ever heard: I like you, but I don’t want to be in a relationship with you. Ah, hello! I wanted to ask since you’ve sold charms — where do you order your charms from? I’ve been trying to find the best place that has glitter epoxy ones specifically, and its kind of my first time making charms out of my art. hi, thanks for the ask! i currently use vograce, an alibaba merchant (mainland china). i specifically chose them for pricing, specific features (double side printing, epoxy, free accessories, packaging). ive composed a list of my personal experiences w vograce and pros and cons, or just things to be aware of!

some notes before going in:

this list is from a US based lens, i live in the pacific northwest so i dont know if that affects shipping price vs other places in the US or any other international country

out of all the places i know of, only vograce to my knowledge offers glitter epoxy so i only wrote about it

since im writing about vograce, im under PST time zone and mainland china is about 16 hrs ahead of me, give or take a few hours depending on specific areas

not a complete list since vograce is the only place i know that even offered epoxy lol

formatting advice:

always work in 300 dpi minimum. i like 300 but my friends like 350 and up, the more the better

unflattened psds print more vibrantly. you can still save in cmyk which ms coco will request, it’ll just be a psd with layers

vograce (mainland china based)pros:

low/custom moq (minimum order quantity im pretty sure) moq is usually 1 piece while other places do pack sizes (like pack of 25, for example), so theyre good if you need a specific amount or like, just a few things

pricing - depending on what you order and quantity, pricing can be really reasonable. a big order of epoxy glitter charms cost me a little over $1 for each unit, but because it was an order of over 100 (cost goes down the more you order of the unit). i think if you order just a few things then unit price could be like $2, sometimes more depending on what you need.

communication - they do their service through the alibaba messaging system rather than email, so things happen more in real time. (it IS possible to email i think though, i think i emailed them Once) i also asked me to send a draft out cut lines for the charms and they did (this was the second time i ordered, the first time i didnt ask for it). usually its the same person, ms coco, handling the customer service. 

freebees: i particularly like them for this reason lol i think they offer free double side printing if i remember correctly? they also have a range of accessories to choose from, like split rings, lobster clasps, and cell phone lanyards, for free. they have special ones you need to pay for, but the basic accessories are free. there’s a chart on the page when you scroll down. also when you receive them in the mail, they are separately packaged in the little plastic bags with the adhesive flap. i just really like not having to buy jump rings and stuff anymore

options: i really wanted glitter epoxy and i couldnt find a place to do it for some reason? but they do it and i like it! i havent received my package yet but ive ordered charms from other artists that have used vograce and i think theyre pretty! i also think if you communicate that you need branding and packaging options, they do that too for extra cost. also they do more than just charms, im getting some standees done w them too (also i dont know if its a standard or just a vograce thing, but glitter epoxy is single sided. the charm itself can have double side printing but the glitter is one side only)

i used to use zap creatives but i think vograce prints crisper than them. my stuff always looked fuzzy w zap and i save files the same way w them 

cons:

shipping: since theyre based in mainland china, shipping could be a problem. im based in the US, so shipping is anywhere from $17-$45 depending on when i need the package by. so it would suck if you needed just a few things i think, and theres always the typical snail mail problems (ive never had problems with receiving international packages, but anything could basically happen)

communication: since its alibaba and theyre based in china, sometimes its hard to keep up with time difference and respond to messages. i really could only respond a few times a day because theyre so far ahead. one time it was really time sensitive and i was up at 2 am messaging ms coco because i needed to get as much as i could communicated! so basically i could only reply and get responses through the hours of 7 pm and 2 am (remember im PST)

printing: ive had a friend send me photos and it was also verified by my personal experiences (a charm i bought from someone). when companies print double side charms, theres usually a layer of white between the two color layers to prevent overlap and to make color pop. i dont think vograce does that? its incredibly slight and i dont notice it unless im looking extremely hard, but depending on what you print, there could be a teeny bit of see-through where you dont want it. again, it doesnt bother me one bit but it could be a breaking point for some people

communication: im gonna be straight and say they dont always tell you everything you need to know beforehand lol like for example, i was making gold foil charms because they offer gold foil charms. we sorted everything out and right at the end ms coco told me its a $15 charge per design bc they have the make custom moulds for the charms. i had poured too much time into these charms and messaging them that i couldnt back out at that point so i just said yes and paid (i had money set aside so it wasnt a problem, it just came as a surprise). bc of the time difference i just have to say yes to certain stuff bc i dont wanna wait a whole new day for a response but its never stuff im like unprepared to do

ok idk if this is a con but they do all their transactions through paypal but its more like “send the money to this email address” and then u send it and u send them a screenshot for proof that you did it. so that may affect how some people shop w them. ive used a non-vograce supplier for cushions and it was the same way.
