Spencer took a deep breath staring at his desk. On any other day it would be due to the amount of paperwork waiting for him, but this time it was a cup of his favorite coffee order, a muffin, and a chocolate croissant, all sitting right on top of the report he was working on.

He wasn’t ungrateful for the treats, but he would rather enjoy them if they weren’t accompanied by three pairs of wide eyes looking at him, while searching for answers in return.

Emily threw her head back dramatically. “Come on, give us something.”

“They’re on a date right now, aren’t they? That’s why he left early. I know you know,” Penelope said. “I know you do. Rossi knows too, but he won’t say anything.”

“Yeah,” JJ agreed, “Every time we ask he says nothing and just…smirks at us.”

“Please, you’re our last hope.”

Spencer took a bite of his muffin and smirked.

“You’re even worse than him,” Emily said and pointed at him.

“Come on, girls. Let’s go hack Hotch’s phone.”

Was it silly to start planning your wedding on a first date?

Maybe it was; you didn’t care. Because there was no way Aaron was not your future husband.

He did everything perfectly: he picked you up from your house, got you flowers, did not let you touch a door handle, paid for your dinner date, and let you play your music during the car ride.

Aaron also smiled a lot and the sight of it made you melt into your seat. It wasn’t often that a man gave you butterflies by just one look or with the sound of his laughter.

“What are you in the mood for now?”

The last thing you wanted was for the date to end, so instead of suggesting you walk back to his car you made a different offer.

“Let’s get ice cream!”

He chuckled, but you could already tell he would not say no to you. “Okay.”

You were walking side by side and even though you were already falling in love with his warm voice it was hard to pay attention to his words. Your mind was too occupied thinking about his arm swinging next to yours and how bad you wanted to hold hands with him.

Did he want it too? Would he think it’s childish to hold hands?

What if you just…did it?

Life’s too short, you thought and grabbed his hand.

Yes, you had not been paying attention to what he'd been saying but you did notice how he stopped mid-sentence when your hands touched. Was he mad?

Your heart was jumping against your chest, afraid you did something stupid. Aaron was quick to ease your anxiety, intertwining your fingers and squeezing gently your hand.

He wanted this too.

He cleared his throat. “So it’s um…a good chance to…”

With the side of your eye, you caught him turning his head to stare at you. You hadn’t wiped the grin off your face from the sudden hand holding yet, and he saw it.

His dimples made an appearance, and as your grin got bigger you noticed he blushed.

“Oh, shut up.”

“I didn’t say anything!” you giggled.

The sound of Aaron’s phone ringing interrupted your moment.

“Sorry, I have to get this,” he said.

You, of course, didn’t mind. Even though he hadn’t said so himself, you knew he had left right on time – early in Hotch’s terms - from work just for your date. Perks of being best friends with your date’s subordinate was getting to have this kind of inside information.

“Hotchner,” he said sternly.

You stayed quiet.

“What? I didn’t authorize this.”

Oh.

“No. And I trust this won’t happen again.”

Oh…Maybe you liked this side of him a little bit more than you should.

“Thanks,” he said, and hung up. “I’m sorry about that.”

I’m not.

“No, it’s okay! It’s fascinating observing you being a boss.”

“You like observing people?”

“Why, are you interested in hiring me?” you teased.

“Oh, I would never.”

“Why not?” you asked, acting offended.

“I would not be able to focus on a case with you around.”

You took advantage of the fact you were on a sidewalk and stopped walking, turning your body to face him. “And why is that?”

Aaron moved closer and dropped your hand only to cup the side of your head. His thumb moved back and forth on your cheek and his eyes on yours made you feel dizzy.

“Because you take my breath away.”

And with his next move he took yours. Maybe you’d actually faint if he didn’t pull you in and place his lips on yours.

Your hands moved to his tie with the intention of pulling him even closer to your body. His kiss was heavenly and you really wouldn’t mind if you were to stay like that forever.

Yeah…there was no way Aaron Hotchner was not your future husband.

It wasn't unusual to see the Prefect of Ramshackle dorm, Miss Nene, walking together with the Housewarden of Heartslabyul, Mr. Rosehearts. At first, it was purely for duties. Much like Jamil with Kalim, or Sebek and Silver with Malleus, Riddle was assigned to protect Nene during her stay at Night Raven College, considering she IS a girl in an all boys school besides being a magicless human.

He didn't really intend on getting attached, he had far more important matters to take in his hands after all, but something in the way Nene clinged on his arm when students were arguing, or the way she smiled so softly when invited for an unbirthday party... Riddle couldn't tell what this bubbly feeling in his stomach was, or why Cater seemed to tease him so much when he would lose his words around her.

It took long hours of research on behavior, and maybe some comments and advice from Trey and Cater, for him to realize that he actually, really, just fell for her. His strictness was compared to that of the Queen of Hearts between Heartslabyul students, but he noticed how Nene's sweetness and understanding for him resembled so much the King of Hearts.

But he didn't have the time for romance! He is a Housewarden, he has many, many duties to fulfill! His studies, club activities, Housewarden duties, study sessions with Cater, Ace and Deuce to make sure the Heartslabyul reputation stays in check...

But two certain Juniors and certain Cat-like monster decided to take matters into their own hands.

Nene arrived in the Maze of Roses, as asked by Cater, to take some 'cammable pics for his Magicam account, since from what he told her "they were looking super adorbs with his new hair accessories he got online". She didn't expect to find Riddle sitting calmly at a tea table, drinking his tea.

"Riddle...?"

That seemed to put the crimson haired boy on edge. He looked confused at the Prefect. Just what was she doing here? Oh wait... Riddle sighed, pinching his nose bridge.

"I should've known Grim didn't want to have an emergency study session for exams..."

They both stood there awkwardly, before Riddle stood up and politely took the chair in front of his.

"Since I already cleaned my schedule, we might as well enjoy a bit of tea together, shall we not?"

"O-oh! Sure." Nene fidgeted with her pigtails while sitting at the chair. She couldn't help but blush at Riddle's Rosy cheeks, which she assumed were from frustration, but nonetheless cute.

They took their time making small talk, although a bit awkwardly and never really looking into eachothers eyes, while drinking their tea. As time passed, magical little lights appeared around them, none really sure of what they were, until Riddle noticed Cater hiding in a bush, controlling said lights with his magic pen. Oh that cheeky little-

"Riddle? I... If you don't mind, uhm... Could I... Tell you something?"

"You are always welcome to tell me anything, I thought I have told you so."

"I-I know! It's... It's just that... Uhm..." The girl took her hands out of her mug, and took both of Riddle's in them. Riddle instinctively flushed a bright red, almost as red as his hair. " It's just that I really, really, really enjoy being around you! Like... More than normal? And I... I know, I'm just some random girl you have to take care of but... But I really like you. Truly. I have told Grim about it but he kept only teasing me and making me embarrassed... But he said something that was true. I need to take my chance before someone else takes theirs, so... Yeah..."

Nene's hands were shaking. Her face down and pure red, while her eyes stay tightly shut. She didn't knew what the outcome was going to be, but at least she opened up. That's progress... Right?

"Nene... I... Aham. As the Housewarden of the Heartslabyul dorm, I must say that I applaud your courage for confessing such deep feelings. But as Riddle Rosehearts... I must say that... That your feelings are not being taken lightly. It is against the rules of the Queen of Hearts to lie in front of the royalty, and... If everyone thinks I'm the Queen of Hearts of this dorm, then... Eddie sat right up, suddenly distracted from his work. He let out a heavy sigh and rubbed his eyes. How long has he gone without sleep?

"You wouldn't understand, anyway," he said quietly. "No one can."

"Talking about it might help you," you suggested as you gently placed a hand on his shoulder. To your surprise, Eddie frantically moved away from you.

For a moment you remained quiet, unsure how to respond to his raging accusations. Although you were together, there seemed to be an unbreakable wall still separating your worlds. No matter how hard to tried to tear it down, something inside Edward was reluctant to do so.

"That's unfair, Eddie," you broke the tense silence.

"Unfair? Do yo-"

"Just..." You raised your hand to stop him. "Just stop, save your breath."

You didn't wait for his answer, at the time you didn't even want to hear it. The whole situation was becoming too much and you could feel your grasp on your own emotions slowly slipping away - if that ordeal went on for a moment longer, it was going to escalate. How could he just dismiss all of your effort at getting to understand him? Did he not see it? Did he not care?

Eddie simply stared as you took your jacket and left the apartment, the front door shutting loudly behind you. Your muffled steps in the corridor quickly disappeared as you headed for the exit.

You were... gone.

His legs suddenly gave out and Eddie fell to the floor. It seemed as if gravity had lost its grip on the entire world, making it sway before his eyes. There was a stinging pain in his chest that made it difficult, if not impossible, to breathe. Eddie could hear his own frenzied heartbeat in his ears - a deafening hum along with rushing blood. It was hard to say whether he was aware that his body began gently rocking back and forth.

"Of course she left you, you idiot," he hissed at himself. "Moron. Loser. You don't deserve her. What did you expect, you're unlovable and disgusting, she's better off without you."

Shame was washing over you. It didn't feel right to suddenly leave, especially when you knew just how much Eddie can get into his own head. But the alternative was escalating the situation and that wasn't any better.

Anger had long gone left you. As you were quietly opening the front door to your shared apartment, you only felt sad, wanting to make up as soon as you could. as someone who endured a lot of abuse at the hands of multiple Moon dominant people, i really couldnt hold back on those posts even though I usually dont talk that much shit on any of my astro posts,,

what you said about the hating parents bit took me back to all the times my toxic ex bestie would fight with her parents over the dumbest stuff (her mom didn't let her buy something from the grocery store, im not kidding she had a whole meltdown bc of this) and what u said about them not giving a shit about your feelings/mental health LMFAO sounds exactly right,, i was sharing some deeply sad stuff and they said "okay i dont want to hear any more" like literally they said that,, i understand how some things can be triggering to hear but ??? there has to be a better way to deal with that situation instead of telling the person who is having a breakdown that u "can't hear it". she never apologised or saw anything wrong with her behaviour either. all the empathy i never received has pissed me off so much man, i feel u,, i feel so wronged for having put up with that stuff and for thinking that this is just how it is.

anybody reading this, please cut those fcking people out. they dont care, they never will and you will lose your time and energy on things you're better off without. cut them out. zero explanation. you dont owe them one.
