“Ugh.” You groaned. You went to the couch and flopped down on it.

“The theater shit is happening tomorrow.” Ethan said, walking over to run a hand down your leg. “It’s almost over, okay?”

The front door opened and you sat up, staring as Wayne and Quinn entered, a Domino’s pizza box in Wayne’s hands. Quinn immediately rushed over to you and you barely had time to screech before she was pouncing, laughing as the two of you fell off the couch and onto the livingroom floor.

He asked, putting his knife away as you grinned. "Fucking love you."

shen yuan’s got a hand-wavy heart condition inspired by long QT; he moved because he went into cardiac arrest during a regular hospital visit and his family was like ‘ok we thought this was managed but u now need to see the best specialists in the country’ and the specialists were like ‘ok you’re getting an implantable cardiac defibrillator like yesterday; why didnt they do that after your heart stopped last time???????’ which is why he was in the hospital

So, Gilbert sometime in middle school (i dont care! they are in america bcs this au is just me fuckin around talking to @arschbiene )starts getting hot-potatoed between family members bcs hes a problem child with too much energy and too smart for his own good cause now they have expectations he's not meeting. Winds up living with Dietrich, who's like "ssssuuure ill take him, he can work right?" cause yeah he cares but also he needs help with rent. anyway. basically this becomes dietrich depending more and more on his high schooler cousin to help with the bills and gil getting gradually more completely insane because they dont really get along, its messy. its a mess. its not good, dietrich is in a band.

Gil gets into uni and immediately gets a bf his cousin thinks is too old for him (it is a 1-2 year age gap, ivan is younger than dietrich. much bigger than him tho!). anyway its shenanigans. many shenanigans.

but gil working at a burger joint is in high school, he's 17 at most already a manager even tho he cant lock up the night shift alone, running on no sleep, energy drinks the US will ban in six months, some coke he stole from dietrich's bandmates, and just had to take his exams at school before clocking in.

all of this is to say he would leap over the counter and try a robber's life just to feel some adrenaline.

in my au i didnt really want to make dexter like, a Bad Guy so he doesnt harm animals. he instead channels his anger out into drawing, painting, sewing, taxidermy, and bone collecting. he has a lot of hobbies, but theyre not really things he enjoys. really, hes mostly passionate towards taxidermy and bone stuff only because its animals and animals are very cool to him. otherwise he just uses things to keep him from doing anything dangerous. he doesnt care but he tries his hardest to and he knows if he went too far off the deep end then his mom would have to witness his arrest and he loves hismmom a lot so.. he wouldnt want her to see her own son be put in jail and stuff.

now with dexter i feel like hes very bad with people. he hates people but he wants them to stay because he wants to feel worth something, he wants to feel normal and like them yet he feels like everyones inferior to him. hes constantly conflicted with everything he thinks.

so when streber sticks around, puts up with anything he says (besides the time streber snaps because he jabbed too far), jt messes with him. it hurts his head.

i feel lik3 dexters super troubled because he doesnt know if he should stay quiet to avoid the weird looks and people leaving or if he should create a mask and be super chatty to make sure people stay. regardless,,streber sticks no matter what. he tries to learn as much as he can about him. he tries to show dexter he cares

he doesnt know why he feels like this. but he tracks people. he tracks and analyzes people down to the smallest detail, and he knows dexter is troubled. in a weird way he sees himself in dexter. maybe not in the same exact way, hes not in the same reality dexter lives in, but he knows what its like to be troubled. to be conflicted with every single person around you, because you dont know what to do or say or think or feel and it sucks. and he wants dexter to feel atleast,, safe with him. he knows dexter is lonely and struggling. he wants to mske him feel safe.

over time dexter gains some trust with him. sometimes they go looking for dead animals in the forest to collect the bones. streber hates doing it, but he wants dexter to be happy around him, so he goes throuhg with it.

one time dexter gave him a rat skull as a gift ^_^ theyre very dumb i love them

PSYCHO PASS PROVIDENCE (english dub) Kougami & Akane moments. (SPOILERS)

PT.1 [ how i felt, what im feeling, what i understood and what i saw ]

where do i begin, AH, ill start off with saying psycho-pass will forever make me so happy and i will always find comfort in this show. i’m so happy to have heard the english dub cast again. 

[ i want to say, my movie experience was pretty piss poor sadly, and tbh, i could not focus AT ALL on the movie, on what i feel like was 85% of the time. there was someone in the theater that was kinda like live commenting on the movie and it was so annoying and really broke the most emotional parts. after the movie i cried quietly a bit because i really have been waiting a year for it just for it to come out and be ruined by someone who could not shut their mouth.... just a psa: if your going to see a movie, please remember the space you are in ]

this is kinda just a ramble so sorry if it doesn't make sense~ 

the movie was truly amazing and TBH REALLY HELPED ME UNDERSTAND SEASON 3 in regards to not only why Akane was in jail but to better understand Arata & Kei. which i have to say, i have gown a little more fond of Arata and makes me wonder what more he is going to do in hopefully the later movies/ or hopefully seasons 

there was a lot that happen like ginoza’s hair flying in the wind and also kogamis wet hair but yeah ill skip to the part that really made me think a lot and the part that i could not stop thinking about Akane’s note to Kougami, and the very end/ the end of the movie being him saying he will get Akane out.

PT.2 [ Akane & Kougami]

NOW Kougami and Akane. wow, the part of kougami covering her from the bomb... we love to see it. KOUGAMI CARRYING HER BRIDLE STYLE AGAIN. WE LOVE TO SEE IT !!!!!!! god,,, any moment where it was just them two i wanted to cry and scream, i really need to relive the movie again alone because it was super super good and my dumbass has a pea for a brain and felt like if  i was to have any real reaction my brother (who so kindly went with me to the movie) would just look at me. 

but really they broke my heart many many times during this movie, kougami calling akane, trying to work his way to say sorry but ended up just being a smart ass and akane saying that she wishes he just said sorry. I WANTED TO SCREAM. i feel like this film was really eveything we have been wanting to see out of the two... i really feel bad for akane i do, i don’t know how to explain it but i feel like she was really never able to truly able to talk to kou. i mean she did in the elevator and during the phone call,,, but since kou never said sorry i feel like she never got to talk to him and i felt like it was really a lot for her and what all she experienced. 

kougami saying that he lives with out regret makes me feel like is what pushed akane to do what she did, i want to say, i really wanted to cry, REALLY wanted to cry when akane wrote a letter to him, kou calling akane an idiot/fool just like she did during season one, maybe i feel like, just how much it effected akane when kou wrote her a letter it kinda had the same effect on him. akane ending up in jail really gave kougami a new push, a push he hasn't had in a while

PT.3 [Gino, Kou, Akane]

going off of that kougami’s care for akane has grown as we know it’s party the reason why he came back to Japan was a way to see her and see how much shes has changed things for the better good. but Ginoza and Kougami talking about her really was truly sweet. Ginoza adores Akane a lot, and dare i say is kinda like an unsaid older brother. i thought it was really sweet to hear that Gionza wants to protect akane and make sure nothing happens to her. but with that being said... i really cant begin to think what ginoza felt after what akane did. 

poor ginoza really, i have gown really fond of him in the years leading up to now, after really seeing and understanding how much he cares for akane and how much he wants the best out of her, and how much he wants to see her grow. the part where gionza pushes kou against the wall in anger (for akane) really was fun to see. kougami not keeping his word (we knew he wouldn't) of saying out of their hair. ginoza, what a silly man. to think kou wouldnt find his way back home.. 

PT.4 [ ill shut up now <3 ]

to end- the way the movie ended and the way season three ended makes me want to cry,, even right now, as i said before, akane gave kougami a drive that it doesn't seem like he has has for a while now. although he has always felt the need to also take care of akane this time was different, he feels like she got there because of him, so its now party his job to get her out, 

but it makes me think of the end of season three and when kougami went to go and pick her up, that, besides saying that he was there to get her he also said sorry the sorry that akane had been waiting to hear for a while... but anyways... i think this movie really helped us better understand what more akane and kougmi relationship has faced, and also i like to think this all happen and now they are on the same level and have a better understanding of each other. kougami and akane are and have for once meet as equals. 

i think, what Akane did was really really smart, a smart way to show the world what is going on behind closed doors and how the system that japan is ran on is- like what any government system is,,, flawed. but also how the Sibyl System can be a good stepping stool to an EVEN better system but there just has to be some changes . BUT i also like to believe that while the sibyl system is evil and crazy i think it has its benefits, but just needs to be used wisely and more as a (again) steeping stool rather then a latter, point being... i think in this movie thats what i feel like what was being made super clear, that there needs to be room for growth for both the sibyl system and using it as a helping hand rather than relying it to fully judge someone.

i bet none of this made any sense, im writing this at 1:15AM after a con weekend with no glasses on :D , but this was my thoughts and my opinions about the movie unbiased... i have not read what anyone else had said, i didn't want what i was thinking to be affected by anyone else. but i cant wait to read some ! i like many of you, have been waiting for this for a really long time now and tbh am super sad that the  movie experience was not 100% it wasn't only the person saying shit though-out the whole movie but it was also bad on the theater i went to part as well,,, and like i said, i want to cry, i really do, my first time seeing the move was shat on and just have a hard time remembering what happened due to my bean for a brain lol... anywho

au where Meggy used to be a boy and was named Miguel and used to like have an idol career with a band named Wh5rl_P00l that was meant to be a side job but then it unexpectedly went off the charts so he got super popular, so now hes the super famous idol adored by all

but this isnt what he wanted, sure jt was fun playing with his friends as a side hustle and all bt now jt wasnt, not wih all the eyes staring at him and he others, but most especially him

he wants to be turf war champ, he wants to train not be hounded by hundreds of fans he didnt want when hes jst tying to buy ramen and he's increasingly hating himself and his own body and he isnt sure why

and like a couple years into his career when having a heart to heart conversation wih Pearl he suddenly has a brain blast that he doesn't feel like a boy and then works up the courage (with the help from some much needed pep talk with Pearl) to tell his bandmates he couldn't keep doing this anymore and wanted to leave the band

obviously this doesnt go very well and after a heating argument with the leader of theyre group Striker, Miguel just up and leaves despite Zephyr's (whos the sensitive one btw) attempts at begging him to stay so the 2 can calm down, unfortunately this also lead to Miguel, unintentionally cutting all contact with his 4 friends which stills eats away at him late at night when he's thinking stuff

Miguel changes his name to Meggy, has his transistion thanks to all the buttload of money she's earned as an idol then books it straight back to turf war training finally feeling confident in herself and feeling more happier than she ever new she could be despite the 4 friend shaped holes in her heart that is but she would rather die than to admit this

Then she gets trapped in a paintcan then meets Mario and well the rest was history

she honestly never thought she would meet the guys again, or that they would ever recognise her

but then Desmond (who was the smart one of the group) came knocking on her door saying something about Zephyr being kidnapped and well...

she really cant catch a break can she

hi ok so !! about your post on singlets in syscourse i just want to say i agree with you! i'm a singlet and my ex is a DID system, and during all the time i knew they were a system (2 years+) and the time we dated (almost a year) i've never really been able to partake (in good faith) in syscourse because i'm a singlet. i've spent over 2 years learning as much as i can about DID and OSDD and sometimes i'd like to partake in some syscourse and each time i try (in good faith! i cant emphasize that enough) both sides treat me like shit. like you said, singlets dont have a place in ALL discussions (i certainly wouldnt and dont want to stick my nose everywhere) but yeah there's a time and a place and like you said, to engage in constructive and positive conversations, which is exactly what i'd like to do. but even in those times and places both sides shut down whatever a singlet says, even if they do actually have some kind of standing in the discussion (like the examples you gave), say things in good faith and have knowledge of what they're talking about (like you also said). i've never really seen anyone display this opinion so kudos to you for voicing that!

My partner has been with us for ten years, and they've known about us for six of those years.

When he first found out, he went looking for resources, and one of the first ones he found was called The Significant Other's Guide to Dissociative Identity Disorder. It's a funny, honest guide written by another singlet partner. It talks about the good and the bad, insurance, therapy, hospitals, etc. Most importantly, it talks about what to expect from your system partner.

It wasn't until a few years later that he showed us this guide, and he explained that the brutally honest take on system behavior helped him become a better spouse for us. It talks bluntly about how systems are selfish by nature. Not in a negative way, just as a matter of fact. We have so much going on in our heads that sometimes it's really hard for us to keep our partners in mind, as well, and it comes across as selfishly absorbed, at times. It talks about how to handle that kind of behaviour, and the rewarding love you get in return.

But that REALLY struck me. It was true, and so was a lot of other, negative stuff (stereotypes?). It kind of put my partner in a new light for us-- we gained a huge amount of respect for him and appreciation for the things he put up with and tried to work with us on. Of how much work he put in and how much patience he had.

I wish he had shown it to me earlier, but he said he didn't think I was in a place to hear it back then, and he was probably right. Those perspectives are just as unique and useful in helping other systems figure their stuff out. They do understand syscourse. They've likely engaged in it before. They're allowed to, still.

Singlets who have never met a system in their life, but have a peer reviewed paper in have are goddamn allowed in syscourse to share it and talk about it.

They sure as fuck might be wrong, but they have every right to get involved, when and where they're welcome.

DC Titans Part 1

Ok so I actually watched Titans a while ago but I’m seeing it a lot more on tik tok and I have been thinking about it quite a bit lately because of it. so before I get into whatever is in my brain

1. I really don't like Titans as a show, I only watched the first season and already I did not like it. like the final “battle” (if you could even call it that) was basically a very boring argument between a girl and her dad.

2. while I wasn't a fan of his character before the show, I am now and I really don't like how Jason Todd is treated in the show.

so now because I have been thinking about this I have been sort of rewriting Titans in my head so I'm here to get those thoughts out. 

ill start with Jason, I cant do much about the first season and frankly I don't know enough about trigon or the story to care, so sadly we are keeping it because i think its a good jumping off point for what i want to do. so when ever Titans stuff is discussed Jason gets really exited and happy him being apert of something gives him joy and yes he can get carried away, he’s a street kid from Gotham probably the only safe place for him was in public spaces and he probably was raised by the prostitutes and homeless people of the area. so I think his motivation is more trying to find a home that doesn't reject him.

so first of all Jason is a HUGE book nerd, his favorite book is Pride & Prejudice for crying out loud, so he didn't know how long he would be staying in San Francisco so he only brought like 7 books. I know that seams like a lot but I headcannon him to be able to read like a long chapter book in like 2 or 3 days. so he doesn't have his normal library with him. now I am going to introduce a OC that I made named Saoirse, she’s a girl he met when he first went to the fancy school in Gotham after getting adopted by Bruce. She was a foreign exchange student from Ireland and ill make a separate post about her after this one.

Jason and Saoirse have been friends for a long time and for his first few months in San Francisco they didn’t talk but after the hole trigon thing he starts to talk to her again. she knows he is Robin and Bruce is kind of ok with it because she is a blue Lantern in training. anyway he talks to her about all the stuff going on in San Francisco and to surprise him she sends a care package with a couple books, snacks, and some bookmarks. Dick sees Jason bring the package into his room and follows him, and because its Titans probably thinking the worst.

Dick sees Jason on a video call with Saoirse and opening the package getting really exited about the new books and she even got him a copy of the book there book club is reading. after the call ends Dick makes his presence known asking who Saoirse is. Jason starts acting defensively trying to get Dick out of his room. it ends with Jason telling him that she’s his friend and even a little bonding moment between the two. in the scene I want to show how smart Jason actually is with questions about books and we start to really get to know Jason.

now I’m still going to go the Deathstrock route because I want drama with Rose and Saoirse. so after Jason almost dies he doesn't talk to Saoirse for a little bit. but after starting his relationship with Rose he calls her and one apologizes for the radio silence he was depressed, she understands and validates his emotions wile still telling him that she is always able to talk to him LIKE A GOOD FREIND WOULD, excitedly he tells her about Rose and how he wishes she where here so he could introduce them. and she informs him that she was planning on flying to San Francisco that night and stay at a friend's place in order to surprise him.

now from my very limited exposure to Titans season 2 I know that the team breaks up at some point and that Rose and Jason are very toxic. so Saoirse arrives before the team breaks up but after the crosses on the mirrors incident. I think when Jason told Rose that Saoirse was coming she made a scene about how he’s never talked about this Saoirse before. I think she does this in front of everyone else and they gang up on him for nothing. he basically stays quiet and says when lunch is and that he need to pick Saoirse up from the airport leaving.

him and Saoirse go to the lunch they had planned and Rose doesn't show up they end up eating anyway and they decide to go back to Titans tower because Jason just assumes Rose wasn't feeling very good. when they get there the team try to confront Jason, its worth noting the Titans don't notice Saoirse there,   saying things like “who is this Saoirse girl”, “why is he keeping secrets”, and I think hank would make some rude remark about Saoirse pretty much based on nothing.

that's when Saoirse makes herself known and introduces herself. now before this we don't see a lot of Saoirse just her voice bit her look has been obscured  so this is sort of a reveal scene. she is a 5 foot tall girl with frizzy bright red hair, cute gold glasses that look strait out of a fantasy book, a brightly colored crochet cardigan over a cottagecore, witchy outfit and red lace up leather boots her grandfather made her.

I think this is when Dick enters the scene and politely invites her in while everyone is getting over the initial shook of the moment. they sit on the couch and talk Saoirse answers questions like how she knows Jason by Gar, I think Dawn would ask her questions that bring up the fact she is a pagan witch, she lives in Ireland buts stays on her grandfathers farm for most of the summer, and her love of crochet and books. Rose shows up Jason introduces her to Saoirse but Rose stays quiet for a little bit before asking about the ring on her finger. Jason is a little alarmed by this and makes a small inoffensive comment about Rose skipping any introduction. Saoirse says its fine revealing her blue lantern ring and showing it to Rose and the group.

Kori probably says something about how she’s heard of a Green and Red Lantern but not a Blue one. this prompts Saoirse into explaining all about the Blue Lanterns, a topic she is very interested in. someone probably asks if she’s a hero and she says something like “No. No. No. No, I could never be a vigilante like any of you guys or Hal or John or... does Guy count, yea he counts. I’d cant use my ring like a green lantern could and even if I could I’d much rather teach than fight bad guys.” now most of the Titans didn’t know Saoirse knew they where vigilantes and the mood sours and she continues “OH! I forgot, yea I know who you guys are, John one of the green Lanterns told me, I hope that's ok.” 

this calms some people down and I think Donna says something like its fine and that Diana trusts John so she will to. after Dinner Saoirse goes back to the place she is staying and there is some talk around Titans about Jason’s friend. Jason probably tries to talk to Rose about what happened but she avoids the topic and it ends in a small fight. Jason and sometimes Gar leave and hangout with Saoirse. Jason invites Rose but she declines overtime, and because i think Jason is actually trying in this relationship he tries to politely confront Rose about this but it always ends in a fight, Rose ignoring the topic, or Rose trying to distract from the topic.

manhwa anon - omg didnt expect to get a special cla rec list thank you!! 😭🩷 i cant really describe what tropes are my favorite because i am a total newbie but from the few i’ve read: i also LOVE villainess tropes, esp. those with smart and cunning fl (im currently reading villainess turns hourglass, obsessed with the fl she’s so evil and smart, and not really a villainess but think navier of remarried empress- her brain is just so huge ugh im in love)

another aspect i like is when the story focuses a lot on imperial politics and high society strategizing etc, i find it really fascinating!! basically the heavier, more dramatic stuff, as opposed to light topics & fluffy romance all throughout the story :3

i've already mentioned my faves i think but i can go a little further. you've already mentioned navier who's a real queen, but when it comes to scheming main characters I can mention:

The Villainess Is A Marionette: the setting is a bit all over the place with the inspiration but the art is gorgeous and both she and her twin brother are schemers and tbh even if he is the villain sometimes I feel like siding with him ahah. There's a lot of intrigue and court factions in it!

The Way To Protect The Female Lead's Older Brother: i am in love with this webtoon, not only the art is gorgeous, everyone in it is kinda insane. The fl doesn't want to be a villainess but has to become it in order to survive and isn't she an amazing villainess? I also somehow really love the male lead, I like when they deviate from the buff guy stereotype, he has a very youthful vibe (and I loved that he was a prisoner of the fl's family at the beginning of the story). I also love the other male lead and I normally despise the second guy very bad, but tbh as someone who read the ending of the novel I personally wouldn't know who I was really hoping to win in the end. Anyway, if you like gothic and a little gory themes and a lot of scheming this is also very pretty.

The Broken Ring: I really like the female lead so much, she's one of my favorite in existence. When you read villainess webtoons, most of them are just normal girls who end up a villainess and conquer everyone with their charm/sweetness, but in this case she is a girl who gets to live her life for the third time and after suffering in both the previous lives she is quite tired and just wants to marry her 'no thoughts in that pretty head' chosen husband and live on her own. There's not that much of a plot with adventures and kidnapping but I love that it has a very mature feel.

The Villainess Lives Twice: if you like the fl of villainess turns the hourglass you will also like her. The plot does sometimes get a little unbelievable but there's a lot of politics and intrigues and going to ballrooms to make connections, I definitely recommend but don't expect a very how can I say refined plot.

I tamed my ex husband's mad dog: I thought it was a little strange at the beginning bc it's one of those adopting a very cute weak teenager and then he grows up to be my knight who loves me and I can't control him anymore damn, and when they meet he's 16 and she's 25, but ACTUALLY I'll put the spoiler after a few lines bc idk how to write it in white so you can avoid it ;;

apparently the guy is a isekai returnee as well? So he was just pretending to be a child after reincarnating?

Do of this what you want. Anyway they're both kinda selfish and trying to use the other for their selfish reasons in the end.

The Princess Imprints a Traitor: this is also one of those stories that are about a returnee who comes back and tries to change the past. She's absolutely not a villainess, but I like how smart she is, how she protects her people, and how she goes hard into politics because the only way to save everyone would be becoming crown princess and changing things herself. Also the plot is very unique, with magic and alchemy and spellbound servants who serve their masters in bed? Although she's too noble so she refuses lol

Isn't Being a Wicked Woman Much Better? I live for people who become a villainess and decide to keep living as a villainess. She's smarter than everyone, she's rich, she has power, I just hope she can leave everyone penniless and enjoy herself forever.

I'll be the matriarch in this life/I shall master this family: she's not exactly a villainess but after returning from the dead Florentia is the most scheming and business savvy 5yo and then 8yo and then 12yo in existence. I've been waiting for her to grow up for two seasons and I can't wait for her to show me what she can do in the next seasons as well. It's more light-hearted compared to everything I've recced until now but I think it's a top read and I love the fl <3
