Some Blueink ( Mugman x Bendy ) hc’s that have been driving me crazy that I need to put out

Again this pair isn’t gonna be canon in my ver but they itch my brain.

(Also this is mostly referring to just my interpretations of Mugman and Bendy, not so much the og)

• Mugman falls for Bendy first, reason being that he really likes how considerate Bendy is of other people. This isn't to say the whole group isn't this way, but Bendy always tries to understand situations before having an opinion (Cannot say the same about Oswald or Cuphead). Ultimately Mugman has a soft spot for Bendy's empathy, and he really likes how Bendy is a good listener

• Bendy grows feelings for Mugman second and it’s because Mugman has a huge heart, and it’s something he’s not ashamed of. Mugman will always fight for his loved ones, going out of his way to protect them. He’s not scared of speaking up or defending others (given his backstory but that’s for a diff time), and Bendy- as a person who has a harder time doing so- really admires that. He also really likes how unintentionally silly Mugman is, it drives him crazy. The corniness usually drives others away but it unfortunately has a chokehold on Bendy

• Mugman is a lover boy and it’s unfortunately one of Bendy’s weaknesses. He can’t help but admire the dedication Mugman goes through to asking about Bendy’s hobbies, what he likes, etc. Because of this he equally tries as hard to return the favors to Mugman

(Rest of hc’s below cause this list kinda getting hefty)

• Bendy (albeit at first really reserved) loves to be mischievous and make Mugman laugh. Each time Bendy is cracking a joke or purposefully pulling a stunt that makes him look ridiculous, it gets a chuckle out of Mugman, and in Bendy’s eyes that means he won the jackpot asf

• To everybody’s surprise, Mugman is the one to confess his feelings and ask out Bendy first. Even Cuphead teased that Bendy would have to do it cause of Mugman’s nerves, but he pulled it together (a lot of mental pep talks, pacing in the room, talking in the mirror, practicing with Felix) to ask out Bendy in the most perfect way possible

By perfect meaning that Mugman had a whole speech prepared, made sure to keep a calm and strong composure all for it to fall out the window once he made eye contact with Bendy. Then it was him gasping and sweating and blurting out WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME

• Bendy is so weak for stuff like this I cannot explain it but he’s equally as awkward and nervous as Mugman, despite how mischievous and confident he can be other times. Mugman just has that effect on him. Bendy stood there shocked, likely went “excuse me a moment” and then went to the bathroom to scream. Not like in a girly way but in a mortified, shocked way bc he cannot believe how cute his crush is. Then he comes out composed and kisses Mugman’s hand, trying to be smooth as if he did not just have a stroke moments ago

• Idgaf they so have a private relationship nobody can convince me otherwise. They’re not even holding hands in public, you wouldn’t even guess that they’re dating at first but you’d be able to tell because they exchange glances at each other as often as they can, immediately look away, and then do it again. They often walk off, exchange a kiss somewhere, and immediately come running back to the group “so it doesn’t look suspicious”. They’re really private because they don’t want to be “that couple” Felix and Oswald but also bc both are embarrassed of their brothers witnessing them (Cuphead and Boris don’t gaf)

Terukane analysis <33

one of my favorties because it really shows how much they care and more about THEM less about how teru looks at akane or things like that (watch the fuck out it killed me writing this)

like i said in my last last LAST post, i wanted to write an analysis on what happened between terukane just before the severance so here i am🙏

after getting back to the ”human realm”, akane realizes aoi isnt there with him, turns around in confusion, and sees teru with a saddened look on his face

Teru looks saddened while explaining what happened to aoi and how she couldnt return

Akane asks if teru knew the whole time, teru confesses to having had known that she wouldnt come back but didnt say anything, leading to akane being very clearly distressed and upset

Akane grabs teru by the shirt/jacket or wtv hes wearing and punches him and shoves him against a wall

Akane’s done with attacking teru, and turns around to try to go back and get her, falls to the ground in pain, his untreated wounds getting worse by the minute, gets back up to get her, teru forces him down, akane’s lying on the ground, disappointed and sad

Yadayadayada idrc what happens after this thats not what we’re focusing on, now that im done with the ridiculously long recap lets break it down further

As seen here, teru is both feeling and looking, extremely guilty. He’s guilty ab not telling akane, but knowing he kind of had to keep it a secret

Something you need to know ab terukane to really understand it, is their relationship is heavily built around their trust in one another so when teru hid how aoi couldnt come back from akane, he was hurt and confused as if he had never seen it coming, like it wasnt even a what if. He knows teru tries to be “perfect” to everyone else, but had never even CONSIDERED that he might lie to HIM. 

The reason this hit like a fucking global pandemic is because akane trusted teru so much he didn’t even think ab the “what ifs” and even if he did, him lying wouldnt even be on there

and since he was really hurt, he lashed out and punched him. Teru knew he was hurt/betrayed and let him punch him, feeling guilty at himself for keeping this from him. Gosh they really do care about one another

As seen here, akane tries to get aoi, but in his damaged state, he literally cannot. Teru knows this, and hurts inside seeing him like this, him having to literally shove him to the ground to stop him.

Akane seems to be at like rock bottom rn. Just lost his childhood bsf and this dude he swears he hates just lied to him ab something this srs. my mans really going through it

Forgot to add but teru looks especially heartbroken here looking at akane, it literally hurts him to do this to akane, but he knew he wouldnt leave aoi there so he did what was best for him, and brought him back. Also not to mention he literally travelled through the most notorious school mystery’s boundary (also the god of fucking death like wdym) just to save akane like what the fuck

teru’s so obvious istg if AidaIro doesnt make terukane canon thats one thing, but if they dont confirm or at least prove in some way teru has a crush on akane, my entire life is a fucking lie

[ Then, February of 1988 ]

At this point, you weren't sure how you hadn't died from sleep deprivation.

It had been a whole two weeks since the baby was born, and you were pretty sure you hadn't slept a wink since. One sleepless night had turned into two, and well… now you couldn't remember the last time you had slept.

The clock on the wall told you it was nearing three in the morning, the blackness outside the windows further proving that fact. The baby was once again crying, and no amount of midnight feedings or diaper changes or rocking her in the rocking chair had done the trick. You were warned about colic, but nothing could've prepared you for what it would be like in real time.

Another new nightly ritual was a tired Joyce stumbling into your bedroom, eyes heavy and feet shuffling. You knew exactly what she had in mind, but your Byers genes were far too stubborn to accept her offer.

“Mom, we're fine,” you insisted from your spot in the rocking chair. But even you knew that to the naked eye, you surely didn't look fine. Unwashed hair, blanket tossed messily over your lap, purple spots nearly black underneath your eyes.

Joyce just sighed from her spot in the doorway. “Honey, you are clearly not fine. Don't take this the wrong way but you're a mess.” The comment almost hurt you, though you supposed you appreciated your mother's honesty.

“I'll be okay,” you insisted. “It's not my first sleepless night.”

She moved to sit on the edge of your bed, across from the newly placed rocking chair and crib. “That's the problem, honey. You need sleep. You can't properly be there for her if you-”

“I can't leave her.”

“Don't get enough sleep and-”

“Mom, I can't-”

“You need to eat something too, honey. I mean, when was the last time you-”

“Mom!” you raised your voice this time, effectively cutting her off. “I cannot leave this baby.”

Joyce let out a long sigh, running a hand through her already messy hair. “If you don't take proper care of yourself, exhaustion is gonna hit you like a freight train. Then what?”

You supposed she might be right. But still, her comments couldn't make you see past your postpartum anxiety, worst case scenarios running rampant through your mind.

“What if something happens to her while I'm asleep?” you asked, voice weak. “Or what if she thinks I left her, just like…” you couldn't finish the statement before tears began to prick your eyes.

“Y/N, you know that me and Will would never let anything happen to this baby.” You could tell by her tone that she was being genuine, though both of you knew her words were useless when it came to your anxiety. “We love both of you. We would never let anything happen to her.”

Tears pricked your eyes as your panicked thoughts ran rampant. “What about Dad?”

She nearly fell off the bed after hearing your question. “Dad? What does Lonnie have to do with-”

“I keep having this weird feeling in my gut that Dad is gonna try something with her,” you explained, tears fully soaking your cheeks now. “Like he's going to try and take her from me.”

“I would never let that happen.” Joyce's words weren't a suggestion. She said them with such finality that you were tempted to believe her. “Lonnie walked out of here seven years ago. He hasn't gotten in here yet and I will make damn sure he doesn't get in now.”

Your heart was racing a million beats a minute. You weren't really sure why—other than postpartum anxiety—that Lonnie had been on your mind. But just the thought of him sent shivers up your spine and tears down your face.

Clinging harder to the bundle in your arms, careful not to hurt her but still holding her closer, you rocked gently in the chair in hopes of calming both yourself and the baby. Her cries had yet to subside, if anything they'd just grown louder.

“Mom, I'm so scared,” you finally broke. Even you could hear the weakness, the brokenness, the defeat in your voice. “What if I'm doing this all wrong?”

Joyce stood again, with that same finality as her words from earlier. “I'm not here to tell you how to raise your baby. You're the mother now and you know what's best for you and her,” she started, the words stern but gentle. “But I am here to give you advice as a mother myself. Babies can sense things. Maybe she's upset because you're upset.”

And with that, Joyce was stepping toward the door, reaching for knob, and then-

“Okay.” The word came out as defeated as you felt. “I'll let you have her just long enough for me to shower and eat something.”

She turned to face you with a small smile, not one of smugness or one of someone proving a point, but one that showed you that she was simply just glad to help you out. She left a soft kiss on your forehead as she took the baby from your arms, quickly taking your place in the rocking chair as you headed over to your dresser.

“Mom?”

Her smile went a little sideways as she looked up from the baby to you. “Yeah?”

“I love you. Don't ever forget that, okay?”

With a small nod, Joyce replied, “I won't. Don't you forget that I ditto.” A phrase that had been around since you were little. You weren't sure who started it, but in this moment you were thankful for it, five letters meaning the absolute world to you.

You walked over, leaving a peck to the prickly hairs you'd been seeing so much of these days, warmth filling the entire expanse of your body. “I love you, bub.”

“I'm sure she dittos you too, honey.”

[ Now, January of 1992 ]

A loud yawn sounded from the other side of the counter, breaking you from your own mess of sleepy thoughts. “Me too,” you chuckled as you looked up, a yawn slipping between your own lips. Dark hair and round glasses met you, purple spots thick underneath his eyes. “You look about as tired as I feel.”

Steve chuckled, shaking his head. “I wouldn't have known it if you hadn't mentioned it,” he said. A crease formed between your brows as you wondered what he meant. “You look as nice as you always do.”

He set a new record for how quickly he'd ever made butterflies go off inside you. “Careful, Doc, or I'll think you're flirting with me,” you said through the crimson blush that had started to appear on your cheeks.

“Sorry,” he said sarcastically, “Must be the sleep deprivation from the double I just pulled.”

You cringed at his words, knowing all too well what that felt like. “I know the feeling. I might as well have pulled my own double after staying up all night with my dau-”

The word got caught in your throat as you realized what you were about to say. “Dog,” you covered quickly, hoping your lie flew over Steve's head.

On the outside, you were hoping to appear calm and cool. On the inside, you were face palming. You'd been sleep deprived many times before, considering you once had a baby on your hands who had colic from the day she was born. Not to mention being a mother made you miss sleep in many ways of its own. But you couldn't recall a time where you'd been so sleep deprived that you almost spilled your biggest secret to a practical stranger, much less a practical stranger who you were actively avoiding telling the secret to.

“I didn't know you had a dog,” Steve said with furrowed brows, his voice bringing you back to reality.

Even though you hated to lie to him, you were thankful that your job had given you the ability to think fast. “Yeah, she must've eaten something she wasn't supposed to. She was up all night throwing up.” The real story was that Mandy had snuck into the kitchen to eat the rest of her leftover Christmas candy after you told her not to, but Steve didn't have to know that.

“Plain rice helps.”

His reaction caught you off guard. “Huh?”

“Plain rice can help a dog's upset stomach,” he explained. “If it keeps happening though, you should definitely take her to a vet.”

Steve's suggestion was oddly sweet, and honestly tugged at your heartstrings a little bit. “Thank you for the tip. Out of curiosity though, how do you know about caring for a sick dog?”

His broad shoulders shrugged, and you tried not to drool at the sight of them. “I almost went to vet school. Boy, would that have made my dad mad. Not that med school has made him any less angry.” As if realizing he was rambling, an awkward chuckle slipped between his lips and he turned his attention to the menu. “You didn't ask. Anyway, what do you recommend?”

“Nice try,” you answered, rolling your eyes. “But for you, I recommend going home and getting some sleep.”

Steve chuckled, and the sound went straight to your belly. “Hey, you don't have to tell me twice. I just pulled a double and I have to be back on campus for classes in about five hours.”

Part of you wanted to tell him to just take the night off and get some rest. Another part of you wanted to drive him home yourself and tuck him in. “I do not envy you,” you giggled. “To answer your original question though, how does a strawberry smoothie sound?”

He met you with a closed-lip smile, one that had started to feel so comforting and oh so familiar these days. “That sounds perfect.”

So this is about a month late...

I want to apologize for being gone with no announcement or explanation. Lots of things have happened in the past couple weeks that have taken a severe toll on my mental health and I just haven't really had the time to write, much less the energy.

I am feeling a little better and I have talked to my boss about my hours so I'm hoping that'll help somewhat. I really miss giving you guys content and I miss interacting with you guys.

Yooo, we've made it to the end!! (Of creating at least, still two more days left but I didn't have time to make anything. Also still written in advance to the actual week.)

Mind Over Matter, Young The Giant - Very Logan coded. Kinda how I imagined him with Leo and Finn before they got together. Also, "Cause' I'm a young man built to fall" is just something I think Logan would have told himself on why he couldn't tell Finn or Leo.

To Someone From A Warm Climate, Hozier - Also very Logan coded, I imagine him just quietly singing this into Leo's ear in the dark of a winter night, which are cold in Gryfindor which Leo is NOT used to.

Francesca, Hozier - Ahem, "the entire fucking song". Finn. This song = Finn. More exactly reflecting back on all of the hurt he and Logan went through together and knowing he would do it again. And again. And again. Especially when he's a Lion and O'Knutzy isn't a thing yet.

Home, Good Neighbours - Leo's homesickness, Logan missing Gryfindor in NY, Finn wanting to go back to Logan at Harvard. All of it. Though it did mainly make me think of Leo going home for a little bit after the Rangers knocked the Lions out of the playoffs in Vaincre.

TIMEZONE, Maneskin - Let me take you back to a lovely place called Logan fully ditching all-stars to see Leo and Finn in Vaincre. If this isn't the most Logan song I've ever heard, I don't even know. Also could be Logan in NY, or even Finn in Gryf while Logan's at Harvard.

Ditmas, Mumford and Sons - FinLo falling apart after Finn graduates. The angst is very appropriate and obviously it doesn't last but this is how I imagine it was back then.

Figure You Out, VOILA - Hey remember when Logan freaked out when he though Finn got a girlfriend? This, it's this. Every time one little romantic interest and Logan just turns into the embodiment of this song.

Mercy, Shawn Mendes - Ok yes Ik it's basic but this is totally how Finn felt when him and Logan were doing their little dance around each other and it was absolutely Killing Finn.

Okay so. You've heard me talk about Symbiosis and its connections with Rhine and Albedo.

But. I recently refound another series that ALSO gives me insane Rhine and Albedo vibes.

It's a series of songs, not yet complete, called Qualia Automata, by Team 6x111. Starts with Reckless Battery Burns, continues with End-World Normopathy, and keeps going with Lamentations. Hasn't yet ended, so that's it for now, but.

The story follows Tamari, a robot powered by AI that was created by Fayrouz, and is coded so complex that he literally has human emotions. Problem is, Fayrouz treats him like a machine and then he eventually runs away when he starts generating traumatized responses. Fayrouz then makes Mariyam, a second automaton whose emotions are purposely dulled, and is considered a "successful" model.

Now later on in the series Tamari goes a little crazy and ropes Mariyam into helping him find alternate timelines where Fayrouz actually loves him (Jesus Tamari wtf) (it's not working) BUT the connections with Tamari and Subject Two, Mariyam and Albedo, and Fayrouz with Rhinedottir is. Killing me.

(Actually when Reckless Battery Burns first released I got major Albedo vibes and posted a comment being like "hey maybe Tamari is a synthetic human of some sort" but I thought i was just biased and deleted it... Imagine the shock when it ended up being canon lmaoooo 😂)

But I'm listening to Lamentations rn which is from Fayrouz's perspective and. Some of the lines.

"redefine how to feel human, redefine my kindness, redefine what's wrong what's right so you don't test my patience"

"forging and sorting successes, things will never be the same, Tear apart break the neglected"

"...to being her home a perfect twin, perfection you could've never been"

HELLO??? this gives so much Rhine vibes. Like I can't even explain it they just fit together. Oh and also Fayrouz is, like, lying on the floor drunk through this entire song because her kids left and she's literally lamenting over everything, which, yeah Rhine's definitely had that phase at least once. Like literally the fucking art for the song is Fayrouz lying on the floor with a wine bottle in one hand and a photo album of her with her ex-husband and a notebook with photos of Mariyam and Tamari next to her. She made a lot of mistakes and she's now realising she may have been the problem all along. (I'm now realising this may set her up for a death flag. Shit)

And then. The final part of the song.

been thinking about reiner as a nerd

nerd!reiner has never had a girlfriend. sure he’s had crushes and even tried asking a few out, but no one ever said yes. he was still lanky and awkward as a teenager and didn’t start to fill out until college. so he doesn’t really try anymore and just admires people from afar.

so when he sees you in his biology lab, he is immediately smitten. and of course you two are assigned as lab partners and dude is freaking out! the most attractive person he has ever seen is going to work alongside him every mwf for three hours. my guy almost drops his pencil and the forceps he’s using when you accidentally bump into him. the blush on his face when you ask for his number is so bright, but its just for exchanging notes, right?

one friday, after lab is over, you start asking him about his major (biomedical engineering), what he wants to do with it (create new tech for earlier cancer detection), and other general stuff. its the first time a person other than his best friend has wanted to know things about him. next thing he realizes, he’s standing outside your dorm with you batting your eyes asking him to come in. i mean, how could he say no?

and how could you resist him? he’s so tall, 6′3 with golden eyes hidden behind his rectangle glasses. you’re not sure if he realizes how many girls stare at him. oh how you longed to run your fingers through his blonde hair and dig your fingernails into his back. those t shirts he wears to lab do nothing to hide his long hours in the gym.

but he enters your room and doesn’t know what to do. you get up on your bed and ask if he wants to watch a movie, but he cant move. ‘what is happening’, he thinks. what if you try to kiss him? what if you want even more after that? he can’t give that to you, he doesn’t know how. 

so he just turns around and leaves.

bertholdt, annie, pieck, and porco are yelling at him that night to text you and apologize. they explain that his actions likely hurt your feelings and now he feels even worse than he did before. like after they leave his room, he starts to tear up and keeps telling himself that this is why people aren’t attracted to him.

so when he gets a text from you, he’s confused. why are you apologizing? you did nothing wrong. he swears. he can only imagine you crying because of his actions. he’s the asshole. he’s the problem. it is all his fault.

you were crying. you felt so bad for crossing any boundaries

he responds and tells you that you did nothing wrong, he should have said something before leaving, and that he was sorry.

monday’s lab was really awkward. his voice broke when he asked you to even the scale. your hands were shaking when you handed him his gloves. reiner stayed behind to clean up and the professor asked what happened between the two of you. they didn’t care of course, just like should you guys get new partners.

reiner almost screamed out a no. he didn’t want a new partner, he wanted things to go back to the way they were. he wanted you. he needed you.

...Lemme explain.

So. Thing is, I'm still translating Arle's route, don't worry. It's just with school going on and the sort, I...don't have enough to show for the route right now, so instead of sending the little bit I have, I'll use the filler episode to show off some OTHER findings I have...and my rambles about random Puyo things.

Yeah believe it or not there's always something to learn about Puyo/Madou, and since I'm someone who knows a good bit, I may as well tell some. With that, the usual shall begin.

Heya everyone, happy super early Halloween because that's this lady's birthday, but since I feel like it, we're posting it now.

Welcome or welcome back to Waku Puyo Extras, the filler series where I translate much, much smaller videos than the things I usually do, while also talking about the wonderful world of Madou and Puyo, giving little facts and knowledge I have of these games.

This episode is about...well. Witch. You may be wondering "Why her?" And to that I say:

Girl has caused me now 4 sleepless nights. I'm sharing this knowledge with you all.

Oh, and I'm impatient for Halloween. That too. But that's besides the point, I felt like making an episode just about her because, well, she's my 3rd favorite character besides Lagnus and Lemres. Plus, while learning about the lore and the games, I've stumbled upon a lot of info about characters, some good and some...well, it's not awful but slightly questionable. This time, this stuff will be centered around all Madou games as a whole, as Puyo is another breed of things.

This'll cover these few things:

Very short video about a refight in Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon.

Her character portrayal in specific games (Saturn, Tower of the Magician, etc.) I won't be speaking about Puyo games this time around besides maybe for a joke or two. Won't be in chronological order.

...Let's just say crimes against Schezo and occasionally Arle. Consider this an add on to 2. Who knows? Maybe this'll change your opinion on her.

And err...consider this compensation for not bring done with episode 1 of Arle's route. I'm getting it done, don't worry. I just don't have enough to share RN.

HOWEVER. With the help of @kirstenonic05 (Good friend of mines who gave me this recommendation,) they were kind enough to give me a small video to translate.

Oh, and I'll mention it here, I edited some parts of Witch's wiki on the Puyo Nexus, adding stuff about Madou Saturn and obviously WWPPD.

So with that outta the way, let's speak about her several incarnations throughout the series.

Where do I even BEGIN?

I guess we'll start with what I believe to be a good starting point: Madou Monogatari; Tower of the Magician.

In this game, you play as Schezo trying to go through a tower for power, which is basically the quickest way to describe the game. However, Witch's trial to get an actual name starts at the same time, but she runs into Schezo and Incubus, and they kinda fight.

Throughout the game, she's a roaming sidekick, usually there to help with puzzles and banter with Schezo. Here...Schezo kinda dotes on Witch like an older brother would, while providing banter and the sort. He'll he even gives answers to Witch's trials just to get further into the tower.

However, near the end, Witch begins to get concerned for her grandmother, and Schezo says she'll be alright.

She was not alright. She got possessed and Schezo fights the final boss. When Wish is brought back to her senses, Schezo says that it was Witch who saved the day, not him. (When it was him.)

Unfortunately, since Witch had outside help, she fails the trials. Sad day.

It's a nice dynamic they had. Plus they show that she cares a lot for her grandma, which I absolutely respect.

Keyword had.

Because besides this game, it kinda goes all over the place. Like Madou Saturn. However, I still like the dynamic later on, it's super funny.

In this game she plays a minor role, like everyone that's not the ARS/Satan/Lagnus. She's kidnapped along with Draco by Incubus, and if you choose to save Witch first, you go to a tourney to save Draco as well. After you beat Kikimora, who was infested with the smoke via the Yogs, Kiki tells you that she saw Schezo (didn't name him though, and he was possessed by Lagnus,) and Witch is IMMEDIATELY interested. Rulue says that he's a massive pervert and...yeah that don't work. She gets more interested.

They finally met Schezo and the first thing she says is that she wants to touch him.

AKA this. Translated it says "...So this is the mega-pervert! Lemme touch him!"

Which I mean, there's worse introductions. After you kick Schezo's ass, he leaves, and Witch is quite sad that he left.

After that, the Trio wins the tourney, which gets interrupted by Jann, and after some shenanigans, beat her and save Draco. After that, Witch leaves the party.

Alright, so a wacky impression in Madou, surely it can't get wackier...

Just like clockwork, Waku Puyo strikes y'all.

Ah, this game. My namesake, basically, the thing that got me to Tumblr and have me listening to the Apollo Justice OST for hours.

I'll say it here: Most of what I know of Witch comes from Schezo's Route. Just a heads up.

But what even goes on in there? Great question, I wished you never asked.

In Schezo's Route, you meet her at the Horror House and she's all vague with him, saying she wants "it" and begins to beg, leaving my poor man Schezo befuddled. Then she clarifies that she wants his clothes, and she'll rip it off if Schezo says no.

Then during the end of the game, Schezo can run into her again. And she's doing the usual, asking basically a cave dweller for his clothes, to which Schezo finally asks why.

Her answer? She wants them, and they're cool. She also throws the heart symbol a lot toward ONLY Schezo.

(Top one is her vaguely saying that Schezo's clothes are still cool, middle one is Schezo saying he's not going to strip, but she was gonna ask for the Meteor Spellbook he had, but the clothes would be nice also.)

Yes. This is how she acts to ONLY Schezo Wegey. I'm pulling out his full government name for that one.

So with that, that most that I know about her-

Nah I'm joking. We gotta talk about Rulue's Spring Break of Fists.

For those unaware, Rulue's Spring Break of Fists was a Disc System game released in 1997, which is more of a "Choose your adventure Visual Novel" sorta deal where Rulue is tasked with getting ingredients for...cooking, not fully sure myself.

What I AM sure of is that Witch is there. And oh boy, does shit get wacky. You enter her house, and Rulue asks for the ingredients she needs, and Witch isn't giving the responses Rulue wants, which she (understandably) gets annoyed at. However, Autism be damned, Witch can cook what Rulue is trying to make, and she'll give the ingredient to Rulue... if she answers her quiz. Yes. A quiz.

Alright, not too bad, right?

Wrong. First question she asks is "What is my bust size?

No. I'm not joking. And since I'm trying to save images, the answers you could've chosen are:

A. 79 • 60 • Unknown

B. 78 • 58 • 81

C. 90 • 61 • 87

(The answer...is B. Which is fucking hilarious because in Madou Saturn it's 81 • 58 • 81, and Saturn came out a year later.)

She then continues to tell us to remember it, and after the quiz... she does give the ingredient, thankfully.

Take, oh IDK, Drugging Arle in the Tottemo Puyo Puyo Manga to make her fall in love with her?

And that...didn't go well because Arle fell in love with almost everyone else but her. Which is IRONIC.

Then wanting to touch Schezo, cooking Incubus so bad with fire that he couldn't move for 3 days (both in Saturn), then...wanting to rob Schezo of his clothes and basically commit public indecency, and asks several times throughout Waku Puyo.

And then in more modern Puyo media, in 20th Anniversary she goes around basically harassing people to get ingredients but they're all subsituted for something else EXCEPT Schezo's hair, in the Puyo Puyo light novels she fake cries to Amitie and almost blows her up with nuisance puyos. And in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, when she gets possessed by Marle, asking Schezo to submit to her and that she know he wants to, and if he doesn't come to her, she'll come to him. And after she's cured, whatever she does with Marle and Draco, I'm ngl I forgot.

I joke about her being an actual pervert, but you know... maybe the joke isn't a joke anymore. And thus, I shall sentence her to...

With my long talk, I think this marks the end of this episode. When all is said and done, Witch is still one of my favorite Puyo characters, and maybe with this new knowledge (even if some of, no, a lot of it was odd,) you'll like her more...or less. One of the two.

i'm tempted to ask who you *think* your favorite in Fates would be given your ... partial play through Conquest to ch10, if I'm remembering right lol. the other half of my brain is debating on asking a FMK between naesala/zihark/soren OR "what three presidential actions would you make should suddenly lua become president" b/c somehow that's interesting too. tone consistency what's that. :P

1) tragically, i don't remember conquest well enough! alas. i played those chapters in 2015 in a feverdream and just simply did not get a very strong impression of any particular character. (technically i played a bit past ch10—i remember the map with the pots, for instance—but yeah bird guy gave up after ch10 lol)

2) fmk naesala/zihark/soren: kill soren, sorry dude. correct move is to kill naesala and marry zihark but. naesala's on that fascinating border right between "girl, you cannot fix him, run" and "ok look he's been through some shit but It's All Good Now, just look at him," right. it's a coin-flip but it's pretty believable i'd go with marry nae-nae / fuck zi with like >50% probability. zi would be a fine partner and mostly stable but i feel like he's gonna go through at least 1-3 weird Funks that he won't be willing to explain to me even a little bit and that's gonna eat at me. (naesala's going to do the same thing but luckily he's as transparent as one of those films they used to use for overhead projectors so at least i'll know what's up

3) if i'm president

Ok. Dr who The Giggle thoughts.

Things I did not like (there are a lot of them tbh but I feel like they’re p valid)

Avengers tower. Be so ffr y’all. Enough. That bothered me So Much actually cuz enough with the Whoniverse shit. The whole point of dr who is to not bandwagon and this is aggressive bandwagoning.

The ending being Neil Patrick Harris missing a catch. Like ik it’s silly bc the toymaker is silly and all that but like. Very anticlimactic.

Bi-generation. Again. Be so ffr. There are SO many problems that would cause. Ripples in time and all that. And also it just doesn’t work with the show. The whole point of the dr is that there can only be one of them - the metacrisis was crazy bc it went against all precedent but still the dr was HUMAN. The dr splitting into two versions of themselves seems like a catastrophic event for spacetime by the logic of the show but ig limits like that don’t matter anymore?? I’m really frustrated with writers trying to push the limits of the show/the character by creating totally bonkers things that end up cheapening the premise of the show. The dr is insanely powerful, yes, but they also DIE. They change. They have limits. The whole point of a tragic hero is that they CANNOT remain the same and yet they ALWAYS remain the same because they are stuck in the narrative. I enjoy the idea of the dr finally getting a break but I feel like there were other ways of doing that. Or at LEAST explain that 14 is now human or has only one lifespan or something like that as an emergency way for really-fucking-old time lords to shed some of their trauma through bi-generation without causing ripples in time. I think maybe that’s what RTD was going for? But it wasn’t explained at all and giving 14 their own tardis was crazy. Cuz now they’ve just. Brought back 10 bc they liked him, no other reason. And I LOVE David Tennant. But not like this - not as fan service that ends up scratching the integrity of the show (not that the integrity isn’t constantly being scratched but whatever). Also - part of the reason the metacrisis was so tragic was because the dr could never grow old with Rose Tyler!!!!!! Only the metacrisis dr could. It was SO tragic that 10 never got to experience that. So they should’ve made it clear that 14 was human or limited in some way so they could grow old with Donna and experience growing old with someone they love finally. That would’ve properly conveyed the beauty I think (I hope) they were going for.

Treating the show as if there are no limits takes the weight out of everything. The always-upping-the-stakes trap.

Ik I just said this but the dr should’ve regenerated INTO Ncuti Gatwa, not just bc of the aforementioned OP-ness and logiclessness of the character rn but bc Ncuti DESERVED his own thing and to be the dr fully. I don’t like that he had to share his regeneration with David Tennant. It also separated Ncuti’s doctor and dt’s doctor so they seem like different people, not the same character played by different people, and I think that’s sad. One of the special things about regeneration is that you have an image of the former dr as you discover the new one and it’s bittersweet because the old one is gone but that person is STILL the new one. And that’s very special. You carry bits of each doctor with you. That effect is somewhat lost here.

The doctor would not go mad being in one place for a human lifetime cuz he already did that many times over. Those instances were major plot points actually. Remember a town called Christmas? Trenzalore? TEN would go mad because of his personality and the fact that he was always running from his problems but the dr is a different person now. 14 is not 10. But whatever I guess.

Just bad pacing of the episode bc they were trying to cram so much stuff in (like star beast). The best ep in the specials trio was wild blue yonder for exactly this reason.

The emotional convos w Donna and the dr should’ve been longer. She was his like. Primary outlet in terms of emotional vulnerability, and he was her biggest outlet for her full bravery and intellect and potential. The quieter moments when they rely more on silence and just acting and less on swirling plot devices are what makes the characters and their dynamic really shine and I wish they’d had more of that for the finale.

I did not understand why the toymaker was limited in the way he was. If you’re an elemental entity that can play with atoms like play dough then why are you constrained to only ever play games??? Why is there only ever winners and losers???

Justice for Martha Fucking Jones. Goddamn they CONTINUE to do her so dirty. Not even a mention. Damn.

Goddamnit RTD you can write BRILLIANT normal dr who episodes but you are doing WAY too much with the big ones. Lean off the meta stuff. Ground the show back into reality (or at least some semblance of logic cuz who are we kidding here. It’s dr who). Bigger is not always better and people don’t get sick of smaller but more emotionally intense plots.

Maybe it was the pacing, maybe it was the fact that we didn’t get to see any complex emotion from 14 about retiring (in a sense), maybe it was the lack of explanation/consequences about the bi-generation, or maybe it was just the ludicrousness of bi-generation in itself, but the ending did not feel as cathartic like it was supposed to. You can’t create emotional complexity out of complex plot devices. Take a simpler thing and do more with it please (hence the success of wild blue yonder). I feel like there could’ve been a different way to handle the ending. Idk exactly how (I have some ideas brewing) but it felt… incomplete. Or just immature/rushed.

If bro is gonna retire or whatever tf, don’t leave him with a tardis??? It defeats the point???

I really do love the idea of the doctor getting a break and hopefully shedding some of their trauma. They deserve it so much. But I’m sad again bc I feel like they didn’t have to bring dt back for that. I thought 10’s face coming back was something to do with the timelines fracturing (like they said in the comic relief thing!!) and the toymaker was related to that, and so in repairing the timelines they’d reset proper regeneration or whatever it is. (Note to self: see, that would’ve made so much more sense. The dr and Donna could’ve gotten their closure and 15 would promise to visit or smth and make random references in the next season to stopping by to say hi to Donna and catch up. Or like “you won’t BELIEVE what Donna just told me”. That’s the new reality I’m sticking with in my head. Anyway.) Like, the temporariness/transientness of 10’s face is what made it a treat! It wasn’t meant to last forever. So I loved the idea of dt’s face coming back as a form of releasing trauma and processing or whatever it was, but… the longevity didn’t fit. Sorry :(

5. What is their love language? I've put way too much thought into this but here's their giving and receiving. they line up very well with each other.

Bradley

Giving: as we've seen so far, he's very much an acts of service guy. he wants to help her out, make her life easier and happier whenever he can. he also is a big words of affirmation partner, like I've said, Mary is a pretty confident person but he likes to give her that extra assurance that he is all about her, and only her.

Receiving: quality time and physical touch! he's happy to just sit there in the corner and stare at her while she works or cooks. and he cannot get enough of her hands on him. he melts when she runs her fingers through his hair and scratches his head.

Mary:

Giving: quality time and gift giving. they spend hours together, reading, at the beach, watching movies, cooking and baking. most of their free time is spent together. she literally cooks and bakes as a form of love and giving the food away as gifts is as close as she can get to giving her heart to someone. she loves to surprise Bradley with his favorites after a long week.

Receiving: words of affirmation and gift (receiving? kinda? I’ll explain). him telling her how much he loves her and how smart she is and how beautiful she is just makes her feel like the most important person in the world. (and to Bradley she is) and as they get further into their relationship, the way he’s not afraid to just shower her with compliments is a lovely reminder of how strong their love is. when I say she loves receiving gifts I mean little tiny things. like if he goes to the store and gets her a packet of mini m&ms because they’re her favorite. or if he goes on a run and comes back with a pretty rock that he found. (is he actually a crow disguised as a man? maybe. but she loves it all because it means he’s thinking of her)

16. Who stays up way too late and who tries to drag them to bed? Bradley is the way that stays up too late. 100%. and Mary tries drags him to bed. but it's really not that hard. she just goes, "Bradley, I'm lonely, come join me" with a little pout and he is following her down the hall to their bedroom.

28. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family? their relationship with Bradley's family is amazing! Mav and Penny are wonderful about being parental figures without actually trying to be their parents. and Amelia is a great little sister, even when she's roasting Bradley and cockblocking him because she wants to spend time with her sister-in-law.

her family though... they leave a lot to be desired, to put it nicely. she doesn't go fully no contact with her parents, but it's very much only a text on birthdays and holidays relationship. which works for her, she'd rather be civil and distant than never speak to them again. she keeps the same level of contact with her brothers, aka she calls about once a month to catch up and ask about her nieces and nephews. she has some cousins that she's really close with (and always has been) and they switch off between visits to New York and California. Bradley is happy to support whatever decision she makes with her family, he knows what it's like to have a rough relationship with loved ones.

their friends are very much overlapped because the Dagger Squad becomes a huge family and they're all very good friends! the friends they have that aren't mutual (they both have friends from college, plus Mary's time in Florida and Bradley when he was stationed in Virginia) they all get along with very well! there's only one slightly awkward interaction with a friend. one of Bradley's exs from college (it didn't work out between them, "broke up" after one uncomfortable date and decided they were better as friends. she realized she was gay, not bisexual, a few years later) hits on Mary the first time they meet and he has to be like "Britney, this is Mary... my girlfriend..." and Brit is like "OH MY GOD SORRY" and then it's fine after that lol

Ah, I’m so glad! While I appreciate your thanks and saying all that, it isn’t really necessary. I think if anyone can understand your plight, of writing for the world’s tiniest fandom(s) which also happen to be dead, it’s me 😅 But, even if that weren’t the case, I’d still leave a comment anyway, because your fic is wonderful, and it deserves all the praise! I actually wish I could’ve given you much more, but I was basically just saying the same thing over and over again, and it got to the point where I was like “alright lemme stop myself before I give them the same paragraph ten times over”. 

But, while we’re here, I’d actually like to say a few more things if that’s okay!

(I’m going to put them under a read more so I don’t spoil anything for any of our mutual friends/followers that might not have had a chance to read yet) 

First, I really love how you expand on this world. Obviously I wish the show would’ve gotten more seasons so they could’ve explored places outside of Astoria, but I appreciate how you develop upon the scraps we were given, like explaining more of Arc’s mermaid side, while also putting limitations on it. Like, yeah, he can breathe underwater and provide Ciara with oxygen, but he’s human enough that it won’t last forever. Also, mentioning Arc being descended from pirates; like I know the show kinda touched on that, but I love how you took it a step further and made it pirates specifically because it just makes so much sense!!! (especially for a place like seagate, that has months like sharktober and crabuary. like, we know seagate was full of thieves but specifying that they were descended from pirates was PERFECT)

On that note, I also love you expanding on the mermaid treasure, and the trident and kinda tying the whole show together with bringing back Ryker. It felt like the perfect way to end that, having Arc and Ciara be a little older, and Arc being willing to sacrifice himself in order to finally put an end to Ryker and all the damage he’s caused. And like, bringing Arc’s goal full circle, with finally getting to avenge Seagate, except now there’s a new layer to it, because this also means protecting the Princess.

Also, like. I cannot even imagine the rage and anguish Ciara must’ve felt when she was desperately searching for Arc on the beach, but found Ryker instead. Like, I just can’t even imagine seemingly losing the love of your life, whom you didn’t even really get to experience “being” with because they didn’t really confess until that life or death moment, but now you’re coming face-to-face with the person that’s caused so much destruction and heartache. Like, the feeling she probably got from finally running Ryker through, but the victory is almost hollow because Arc is still gone. 

Also! I love how things start out kinda light-hearted, but get slowly more intense by the end. The first scene really feels like Arc and Ciara being fresh out of knight school, and still having that confidence that comes along with winning most, if not alI (can’t really remember, it’s been a while since I rewatched the show) of the battles you’ve fought. And the two of them keeping track/competing over how many people they’ve taken out. SO THEM

And!!! The progression of the kisses was so real. Like,I know I kinda said this in the comments, but the first one being an accident, the second one being out of necessity, the third one being a “proper” kiss but not really a kiss, because, yeah, they’re both super into it, but it’s for a mission it clearly means nothing. And then. AND THEN!!!! Arc is ready to sacrifice himself, and he has this calmness about him despite knowing he’s about to die because this is just. It’s the only option, and he’s going to do what’s necessary because that’s really who they both are at their cores, but he just HAS to tell Ciara how he feels before he goes, and her just. Kissing him, the two of them kissing as if this might be the very last time. I’M AN INCOHERENT MESS ALL OVER AGAIN.

ALSO!! I know this fic is basically just Tiara Thief, but you perfectly captured Ciara’s other relationships in that final scene. (like wishing warwick was there with healing spells, or prudy to carry him, or sage to snark that he’s just taking his time waking up, etc etc. It was so perfectly reflective of her relationship with each of them.) Really, the TALENT that you possess like. Can you save some for the rest of us, thanks 

And finally, I will reiterate that the final scene is PERFECT. Idk if it’s because childhood me was obsessed with the little mermaid alskdjf but Ciara getting Arc back and he wakes up and he’s alive!! And now they’ve finally confessed how they feel, and they’re exhausted from battle and all the emotions, but they’re together and the sun is rising and it’s all pink and pretty and AHHH!!! PERFECT MOMENT PERFECT MOMENT!!!

every time i have a weird plane dream, i'm going to document it here. starting today

plane dream, jul 6th, '24

i also had one a couple weeks ago.

i will never understand this. i am not afraid of flying. i've had long cross-country flights like from WA to FL, as early as age 8. i've flown to ohio a couple times as well. and my last flight was to cali

but, for some reason, ever since i was a kid, i have consistently had dreams of planes malfunctioning or crashing. i remember one of the first was a plane emergency landing at the park next to my house, back when i was maybe 6.

since then, plane emergency dreams have happened to me pretty regularly... and i just don't understand where it stems from. i literally cannot fathom it.

crashes, malfunctions, the plane breaking apart in mid air, irregular flight paths, very low altitude, barrel rolls, etc, etc. if you can imagine a plane doing something it definitely shouldn't—i've dreamt it.

the consistency of these dreams has me parsing through my memories and experiences for flight related trauma like:

the only thing i can remember is an incident during my first time flying. i was really young, around 6. it was one of the ohio flights. and i remember i had an unceasing nose bleed. like, the type where you wonder if your brain is hemorrhaging or some shit. i mean, i was so young, so i didn't really understand what was going on. just that my mom, the flight attendant, and other adults near our seats were very worried.

so i'm like—simulation theory time. what if i died on that flight in an alternate timeline? the limitless parallel realities theory? but that still doesn't explain why my dreams are centered around the plane malfunctioning. the nose bleed was a me problem, not a plane problem.

and that's just it! i've had minor "me problems" while on flights. nothing traumatizing. other than the nose bleed, which was the most severe, the other problems i had were swollen feet (florida) and pressure headache (california). not much to write home about.

SO WHY DO PLANES HAUNT MY DREAMS?! FOR MOST OF MY LIFE, AT THAT!!!!

and don't even get me started on the weirdest one! it was the most extreme scenario dream (very rare), where the plane fully crashes, not just malfunctions, and i wake up before i die. if you've ever had a "wake up not dead" sort of death dream— oh man, you know how sweet the air feels going into your nose when your wake up, how soft the sheets and blankets feel, and overall just what an appreciative relief it is to be alive.

and then i looked at my phone to calm myself down. opened tumblr app.

saw a fucking plane ticket ad. one i had never seen before and never seen again. i saw it that one time, and that was it.

simulation?!?! who's controlling my simulation?! i don't want your fear of flights! if you're trying to run an experiment on me to see if repetitively putting plane trauma dreams will induce an otherwise reasonless fear of flying, it's not working! i'll get on a plane rn, i don't give a damn!

give up on your experiment!

or maybe you're trying to warn me. maybe i'm destined to die in a plane related incident. and you're trying to subliminally convey a fear of flying through these dreams to make me avoidant of flying, not as an experiment, but to save me!

It's tiring being a giver sometimes. And yeah my personal space is not very peaceful rn 🥲. One thing i forgot to mention was fear when leeches kept on coming in the end. And i tried to understand why i felt fear with your interpretation at the end and it explains everything. I feel disgusted AND scared of the people who emotionally abused me ( finally admitting to myself ) i don't understand why i fear them. I try being logical like they don't have power over me anymore nor they can't do anything to me but i still fear them. I have alot to heal tho. I know, being a giver and not getting much back, having to accept crumbles, is really tiring and lonely. It makes you question a lot if you're the wrong one or even if you're really doing enough... But ofc, you're doing even more than you have to. And you're not wrong, ever. It's just that at times, out of what we have learned maybe during our upbringing, we start giving much more than we receive in order to feel enough and validated, and on the long run it simply destroy us since it doesn't change anything in our condition. Remind yourself to give only after you have filled your own cup. It's not selfishness: realize that you need your own love first and foremost so to be able to give to others in a more balanced way.

I'm sorry about your personal situation and privacy not being respected: this may be a bit harder to change but do not give up and try to protect yourself as much as you can. You can say some more "no's", and if you get an overreaction as a response, remind yourself it's not you that they are judging but themselves. It's hard to change rooted habits (especially if you cannot leave a place) so just try out and see what you can do at this time to protect yourself and your energy. Do not force much things and stay safe... maybe working on you and on being more protective of your inner child can already change how you feel; it doesn't have to be a real external boundary at times (despite standing your ground and showing yourself you are as worthy as others really do help). Be aware of possible resentment/anger growing inside of you for not being respected and work on that too (undertand it and accept it).

As for the fear, your inner child can still be scared of the people that abused you and/or you may fear others coming in your life behaving in the same way. Our minds remember details that come with negative experiences and store them so that they can confront them with the details of the experiences we live after it; if there's some sort of matching among the two, they start signaling that to us through triggers a.k.a. trying to save us and block us through fear, in this case for example you may fear being vulnerable with others and create a relationship cause you're scared of them abusing you as it happened in the past. Or maybe you fear those people coming back and not being able to protect yourself or say "no" to them or anything of this type. Try to have a talk with your inner child/younger self to understand their reason and remind/prove them you're grown from there and you can save them and take care of them (maybe you also felt helpless back then and wanted to be helped but nobody did it... you can do it now, you can find help, within as well. I'm sure of this from what you wrote). Journaling about the past can help you too, as writing a letter to your inner child or even to those people (it's okay if you don't feel ready btw, take your time, it'll come to you naturally).

I really wish you the best. Take your time with healing and be kind and compassionate with yourself. I said it in the interpretation and I'm stressing it even more now: you deserve good love now, and you'll get it. Take care, stay hydrated and big hugs to you too!<3
